Geologic Formations
Seongsan Ilchulbong, also known as "castle hill," is a unique volcanic tuff cone located in the east of Jeju Island. Formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions 5 thousand years ago, this crater-style peak resembles an ancient castle and offers stunning views from its summit. Designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, it has become famous for providing breathtaking sunrises and sunsets to countless travelers.
This was an amazing hike for my daughter and I. Not for the weak. Lots of steps. I mean LOTS. It takes about 25 minutes or more to reach the top. Great views. And maybe 20 minutes to hike down. Suggestions are carrying a hand fan and having a change of clothing with you to change into. You will sweat. And the humidity can be really thick and heavy.
Gary — Google review
The walk up to the summit can be tiring, but it is easy to manage with plenty of rest points along the way. Complete the walk by sunset to get amazing views at golden hour.
Shawn L — Google review
Terrific views of the coastline as well as Hallasan. Majestic scenery as the light hits at certain angles. A manageable hike up to the summit is well worth seeing the crater and the open sea.
Edward T — Google review
Such a beautiful place! Here you can see Haenyeo (free diving fisher women) at 2pm for free (when you go up the entrance, take the way on the left (on the right you will have to pay for the park). We were not lucky as the sea was rough so they cancelled the show the day we went
María M — Google review
There’s an entry ticket 🎫 to climb the summit. It’s bit tiring but there are multiple rest points, washrooms on the way. The weather was extremely hot so it became bit difficult 😞 to climb but once you reach the top, tge view is totally 💯 worth it! This peak is actually called the centre of Jeju which divides it in 2 parts. Definitely recommended but do carry sunglasses 🕶️ and pther heat protectant 👍🏻

We checked in the Coop City Hotel the night before and climbed the Seongsan Ilchulbong the following morning after having a leisurely breakfast buffet. We are not early risers and did not try to catch the sunrise which was probably blocked by the October early morning clouds. The ticket to go up was KRW5000 pp. You have the option to go down towards the beach for free. It is a long climb with lots of stairs, but it is worth it. Every once in a while, we would take a break to admire and take photos of the view. The view only gets better as you go higher. And we had perfect late morning weather, sunny with a cool breeze. It was very rewarding to reach the summit and admire the views of the town, ocean and crater. The summit has lots of wood steps for sitting and relaxing. October is not too crowded. You go down using a different set of stairs. The view is as good going down as it was going up. I usually find going down tougher on my knees, but this descent was pretty easy and fast. I think the pitch of the steps matched my stride length. Once we got to the bottom, we headed down to the beach to admire the waves and view of the Ilchulbong from sea level. The water was too rough for divers, but there were ladies selling raw shellfish which we passed on. I would definitely recommend Seongsan Ilchulbong if you are physically capable of handling the climb. It was one of the highlights of our 4-night Jeju trip. Note: there is a defibrillator and a toilet partway up the climb. Also, if you are pregnant, you will have priority car parking spaces marked in pink paint, closest to the ticket office. LOL.
K J — Google review
A great place, UNESCO world heritage that we can get a relaxing ocean view, volcanic island experience. If you arrived before 2.00 p.m. you can watch the traditional dive women ( Haenyo) performance.
Kalana C — Google review
Tickets cost 5,000 ₩ per adult to reach the summit, which is about 400 steps up. The climb is worth it—the view is stunning, and you can even spot Hallasan in the distance! I wouldn’t have guessed Seongsan Ilchulbong is a volcanic crater if I hadn’t read about it, since its slopes are now covered in lush green vegetation, giving it a grassy appearance. On the way down, the Haenyeo divers weren’t working due to rough waters, but I still managed to run into one!

Mountains
Hallasan, also known as Mt. Halla, is a shield volcano and the highest peak in South Korea. Hiking to its 1,950-meter summit offers breathtaking views of Baekrokdam, a lake-filled crater, and the surrounding volcanic cones within Hallasan National Park. The hiking trails are relatively easy, with courses less than 10 km in length.
Highest mountain in South Korea. Was full of snow and ice in most parts of the hike, even when visiting in March. Would encourage to look at the weather and be prepared with equipment as crampons are required in these situations. Good hike with nice views at the top, but a lot of tourists and locals there too waiting in line to take a picture with the sign.
Kat T — Google review
My wife and I have very good memories on this mountain. We saw many cute animals, including deer and birds. They all live freely here. Climbing the mountain is very hard, but the scenery after climbing the mountain is very beautiful and worth it. Many foreigners come here to climb the mountain. This is a must-visit place when traveling to Korea. Highly recommended.
HC X — Google review
One of the most popular national parks in all South Korea, and also the country's highest peak! There are two paths to get to the summit (Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa), and you need to make a reservation to be able to go up the mountain through any them. The path is all well marked, I would say it is not possible to get lost. It's a hard way up, and you will probably get wet but the experience it's worth the effort.
Javier M — Google review
Mount Hallasan standing at 1950 metres above sea level is the highest mountain in South Korea. At the peak (Dongneung Peak), is a big crater. The view up here is very beautiful indeed and it makes the 5-hour hike up worth it. Another 5 hours to descend. When we were there, there was a long queue of hikers waiting for their turn to take photos with the summit marker. However, it was orderly and everyone got to take their photos. The photos were later submitted online to the park authorities for us to print out our certificates. It was a very happy and memorable day for us.
CS C — Google review
Decent hike, but not the most scenic (spoiled by the Rocky Mountains). Did the hike up via the Seongpanak Trail since the other trail is closed for construction. This does mean that the number of permits available goes pretty quick. You can reserve (free) a month in advance. We had forgot to reserve, but managed to snag a reservation at 3am the morning of due to a cancellation. There's also time limits in place to ensure that people finish the hike before sunset so this means that if you don't get past the top shelter by 11:30am, you won't be permitted to go to the peak. You'll also need some ID with your reservation QR code for entrance at the start. Paid parking (1000 won) is very limited (70 some cars) and was filled when we got there at 06:15. Ended up parking at the Jeju-do Livestock Life Research Institute Jeju Horse Pastureland parking lot and taking the bus back (bus was packed full and some people had to wait for the next bus).

We were a group of 4 friends from Nepal, currently working in Korea. During our holidays, we decided to explore Jeju Island, and climbing Hallasan was one of the best parts of our trip. The hike was a bit challenging, especially near the summit, but totally worth it. The views from the top were amazing — you can see clouds all around and feel like you’re really above everything. It was peaceful and beautiful. If you’re in Jeju and like nature or hiking, I definitely recommend trying the Hallasan summit. Just make sure to start early and carry enough water and snacks. Great experience overall!
Sagar's V — Google review
The trail is easy, the scenery is nice, the only disadvantage is that you can't watch the sunset or sunrise because the curfew is strict. And you need to reserve the ticket to enter and they have limited number per day, so please do remember that. I've been hiking a lot, even more crowded mountains but this mountain is a special case.
Nguyễn V — Google review
A must when you made it to Jeju already and the vibe is there but tbh it is not as spectacular as Alps or other mountains over 2k m. No surprise, it is just one peak. Went there with my son and you can do it way faster than most of the guids say. But be careful, despite marking on the maps there is NO drinking WATER available on the entire trail from Gwaneumsa to Seongpanak.

Hyeopjae Beach

Hyeopjae Beach, located in the west of Jeju Island, is a picturesque spot with bright white sands and clear turquoise waters offering stunning views of Biyangdo Island. This tranquil stretch of beach is perfect for swimming and lounging, with amenities such as restaurants, cafes, changing rooms, showers, and parasols available. It is known for its long coastline and black volcanic sand.
We visited Hyeopjae Beach to watch the sunset, but got there early enough to enjoy walking along the rocks, beach and dip our feet in the beautiful emerald clear waters. Parking was super easy and plentiful right by the beach area. There were convenient restrooms, changing rooms and a place to wash off your feet right as you return to the parking area. There are many restaurants, convenience stores, and of course equipment rentals right at the beach. Lots of families enjoying time together, and exploring the shallow water areas between the lava ricks. Beautiful views and sunset!
Jill B — Google review
Lovely beach! Not rocky, quite shallow, beautiful water. It's also quite wheelchair accessible. From the (paid) car park on the left side of the beach, you can access an accessible toilet and a walkway along the beach (though quite sandy). On the right side of the beach there's even a ramp/slipway which goes into the water when it's at high tide - though beware of water surges with waves.
Victoria — Google review
We visited Hyeopjae Beach for a few hours in October. We had picked up a rental car near Jeju Airport and were on our way to Seogwipo. The black lava rock reminded me of the Big Island of Hawaii. It was also windy. Probably better in the Summer, but still worth a visit.
K J — Google review
Loved this place to bits. Wonderful wonderful beach and sea side area to unwind and just relax. Not really crowded as it is about winter time and wind is strong and cold. Good mixed of eateries and cafes along the seaside road.
Chonpo — Google review
Nice beach but quite busy. However it’s clean and you can rent a sun bed or table, flap tie and more. They have lockers too. The water is shallow and easy to play in. We had fun.
Blanka K — Google review
Beautiful beach! White sand with clear blue waters. Quite windy I must say(we visited in November so this may change by season). There's a wide beach for hanging out, as well as some rocks to walk around and explore the ocean.
Andi G — Google review
Beautiful beach with white powdery like soft sand. Very clean, clear sea with blue, green colours further out. There's a lagoon near the lava rock area where you can catch small prawns, fishes, snails, etc. The prawns will bite you if you were to stand there without moving. Many people at the beach. The tide is low when we went there so you can walk very far to the ocean as it's very gradual incline. There's shower area nearby and lots of shops selling drinks, souvenirs, and there's cafes too. Lots of parking space.
Noorzidah N — Google review
Pretty beach with a rugged rocky section on the north coast Shops nearby for snacks Decent sand Beautiful views of smaller islands and clear blue waters Parasol rental available, although a little expensive and a bit set back from the shoreline (staff will setup for you) Clean toilets Parking lot on site is good prices Rocks on the coast as little shrines look very mystical. Recommend a visit!

The Teddy Bear Museum, located in Jeju, offers a delightful experience for visitors of all ages. The museum showcases a diverse collection of teddy bears dressed in various costumes and lifelike poses, including designer teddy bears that are more than just toys. You can also admire antique teddy bears and even the world's smallest teddy bear. This family-friendly attraction is an ideal alternative to Loveland and is perfect for travelers with kids.
I visited with my wife. This is one of only two Teddy Bear Museums in the world. Inside, you can explore the history of teddy bears as well as various themed displays decorated with teddy bears, almost like Lego exhibits. And if you wish, you can even make your own teddy bear. It was a charming place, and we had a delightful time enjoying the cute and creative themes.
JaeHyeong J — Google review
Came on a weekday morning, free 2 hours parking. Tickets at 12,000won for adult. Can buy tickets from kiosk at entrance. Place was quite small, takes about 1 hour to finish whole place. Suitable for kids below 10yo. Plenty of bear exhibitions and bear on display and a build a bear counter at the gift store. Most interesting part would prolly be the art part. Good activity to hide from the sun.
Lulu J — Google review
Much more interesting and impressive than I expected! The history stories and the remakes of classic works of art were very well-made! Saw the most expensive teddy and the 9 meter high bear! I also like that it only took me an hour to get through.
Brittany L — Google review
Great place that is rich with the history of teddy bears, relevant facts living up to its name (TB musuem). Inside it was a store where one can personalize a bear, and also a cafe fo refreshments. Tickets are available at the entrance and they also have parking space.
SJ V — Google review
They’ve recreated famous historical events and paintings with teddy bears. Merch shop sells a variety of cute teddy bears. It’s a small museum but worth a visit if you are in the area.
Em — Google review
The museum is not that big, still, it is divided to several exhibitions. There are historical, art and big gallery shop with varieties of bears 🐻. Good to come with kids. Ticket costs 12k for an adult. Which is a bit pricy for this little museum.
Medina A — Google review
It a teddy bear place with lots and lots of teddy bear. You can DIY your teddy bear with 30000 or 50000 Won. There are a lot of shops opposite the museum too like Starbucks, Olive Young. Good to enjoy half a day there.
Jiff A — Google review
A good place to spend the morning, not too crowded. They have rich history of the bear displays and even “The most expensive bear” that’s auctioned. Bought a cute bear at the gift shop. Morning well spent!

Seongeup Folk Village, nestled at the base of Hallasan mountain on Jeju Island in South Korea, offers a glimpse into traditional Korean life. The village showcases simple homes constructed from thatch and lava rock, along with iconic stone statues. Visitors can explore residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, as well as stone monuments and large millstones. This authentic landscape reflects the cultural heritage passed down through generations.
Authentic village with many old structures that have been preserved from its founding. Great for sightseeing and stolling the many quaint and beautiful buildings, courtyards, streets and picturesque spots that are plentiful. We are planning to spend a night in one of the many homestays next time we are in Jeju.
Rick K — Google review
Interesting folk village about an hour drive from cruise terminal. There is plenty of parking for small vehicles and tour buses. Just before the entrance is a series of souvenir and coffee shops. Very cheap coffee and smoothies. Worth a trip and perhaps second wind from the drive. The entrance to the village is a large wooden gate which is one of a couple entry points surrounded by a large tall stone wall. Within the grounds are several shops, a sprinkle of authentic foods and craft such as weaved dyed scarves, dresses and shirts. There is a modern influence though such as the self checkout hut with food and souvenirs and is exactly how it sounds. About towards the center of the village is a tall tree almost original to the 600 year old village. There we were fortunate enough to see a traditional march from the locals dressed in replica clothing. On that note, there are a couple shops that allow day rental of authentic garb and they did take a credit card. On the way out, be sure to take a minute to enjoy the large Canola flower fields, a very perfect picture moment. Overall, the folk village achieves an authentic step back in time to appreciate the village life and hardships.
Kristopher M — Google review
See Korean folk houses. There are also very pretty flowers if you come at the right season (we came in Nov)
Following M — Google review
Interesting aspect of folk life living in Jeju. Was a bunch of thatch hut buildings each with purpose and laid out in a small community setting of a school, courtyards, meeting places, religious areas, and so forth. No one there although weather wasn’t great…I suspect it was part of our itinerary to support local cultural spots with income by buying their souvenirs
Scott S — Google review
There are still have resident there, so everyone should keep the volume down. A good village to take the stroll but not so informative.
Lai S — Google review
Great place to see if you are into korean historical dramas. The place is well maintained and enjoyable to walk around
Rej S — Google review
A well preserved traditional houses in Jeju. Tourist can rent hanbok here as well. Multiple shops were available selling honey from berries and facial creams. There was an unmanned gift shops at the end of the village.

Did this place as part of a tour, it would be easy to spend more time wandering around the village.

Udo

Mentioned on

Island
Nature & Parks
Udo, a charming island located just a 15-minute ferry ride off the northeast coast of Jeju, is famous for its coral beach, cozy cafes, and convenient bicycle and scooter rentals. While many visitors come for a day-trip to explore the stunning coastlines, staying overnight allows for a more in-depth exploration of the island's hidden gems.
This is probably my favorite place in Jeju, if not the entire South Korea. This small island is packed with adventures suitable for all ages, ranging from cycling and sightseeing to speed boating and cafe hopping. The only downside is that the ferry to Udo is suspended when there are strong winds; as a result, I only visited this beautiful island on my third try. Many tourists explore the island by motorcycle, which you need an international license for. If you do not have a license, single/double bikes are also available.
Pui C — Google review
Udo Island, also known as Cow Island, is a nice place to visit in Jeju. It is clean, peaceful and beautiful. Visitors without a rented car, can take the public bus from Jeju City (north) or Seogwipo City (south) to Seongsan Ferry Terminal. From there, take a short 15 minute ferry ride to Cheonjin Port in Udo Island. Remember to bring your international passport along. In Udo Island, we can rent a battery-powered bicycle, scooter or mini car to explore the small island. To rent a scooter or a mini car, we need to have an International Driving Permit (IDP). It takes about 2-3 hours to go one round the island. Do not forget to try the peanut ice-cream and other peanut products as Udo Island is famous for its peanuts.
CS C — Google review
I don't know why Koreans find this place so beautiful and wonderful. Nothing here but peanut ice cream. No lush vegetation. Lava rock beaches- unwelcoming. A tourist trap. Dont waste your time, if you've ever been to a nice island. Windy and cold in November. Rent a bike if you come. Can cover it in 1 to 1.5 hours
Jeff ( — Google review
It was probably a little overrated for the island. But to get here, it’s pretty straightforward. You can only get here by the ferry (no cars allowed unless you’re traveling with seniors and young kids). There’s a parking lot right next to the port, so if you’re driving it’s quite unlikely that they’ll run out of parking space. Once we’re here we bought the shuttle bus ticket to go around the island. You need to plan properly where you want to get off the shuttle as you can only go around the loop once, if you missed it you can either walk, cycle or get another ticket. (8,000 won per person). If you want to get the scooters you’ll need an international drivers license. The only thing I find it fun here was the speedboat to see caves. Other than that I think it’s a little overrated. The peanut icecream didn’t surprise us, there are a lot of tourists that would hog certain photo spots for a long time and blocking walkways. I thought I would spend a full day here but I left after two hours because there’s nothing much to see. The popcorn beach was rather disappointing as well and the water right next to the speedboat was quite polluted. You can see a layer of petroleum floating and you probably wouldn’t want to dip your feet in.
Rachel F — Google review
If Hallasan is the most recommended place to visit in Jeju, the second would definitely be Udo. Udo is a beautiful island with stunning landscapes, making it a must-visit destination. There are two harbors on the island, so it’s important to check the time and plan your trip accordingly. When buying tickets for the ferry, remember to purchase round-trip tickets. Also, you’ll need to fill out two boarding passes for your journey. The ferry ride to Udo takes about 15 minutes, providing a smooth and scenic experience. Once you arrive on the island, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views and plenty of things to explore. For an easier and more comfortable trip, I highly recommend using the bus transfer tour around the island. It’s a convenient way to visit the key spots without worrying about transportation. Renting a bicycle or a motorcycle might sound fun, but it can be quite dangerous due to the narrow roads and high traffic, so I wouldn't recommend it. The bus tour costs around 8,000 KRW and allows you to hop on and off at various travel spots, giving you the flexibility to explore at your own pace. Make sure to manage your time well to fully enjoy your visit to Udo and its surroundings. It’s a short trip, but definitely worth the effort for a peaceful and picturesque experience. There are so many toliet for free.
Shalom — Google review
Absolutely beautiful place that you must travel to. It is located on the eastern side of Jeju island. You'll have to take a ferry across to get there. It is possible to bring your car to Udo island , however, the roads in Udo are very narrow, and it is advisable to park your car there and rent smaller E-cars/bikes there for ease of access. Do note that if you're using the bikes(with handles), you'll need to wear a helmet. For the smaller e cars(with steering wheel), it was not a requirement when I was there in Oct 2023. At Udo Donghaseon Quay, look for the dome shape area where you can buy tickets. 1. Fill up two of the boarding report form, one is for dept from seongsan, one is for dept from udo. 2. Go to the counter and pay, and they'll ask if you're bringing your car. With car about 72,000krw. 3. The entry to the boat is on the left side when you're looking at the dome entrance from the car park. Look for men in the blue vest and show them your payment ticket and boarding report. 4. They'll tell you what lane to go and which ship, reverse your way in.
SL W — Google review
There is the most beautiful island of South Korea. You can have various delicious seafood, also go around the island by electric vehicle. I have traveled so many countries like USA, EU, UK etc. And there are lots of beautiful places but I think Udo island also is one of them.
YOUNGHO ( — Google review
Im sure most people will have a better expirience than me but my expierience was just okay. I recommend you go and buy a ticket at 1.30-2.00ish as afterwords there isnt much time to see all the things. The shuttle bus costs 8000 krw and the last bus to catch is at 3.40ish and to rent electric car only very little stalls accept international driving lisence and you need the paper version which we didnt have. And it was really really sunny not hot though so we just sat down in the shade and just relaxed. The ferry tucket costs 9000-10000 ish krw each person. Also if you are planning to go i recommend you go on an empty stomach as you should try all their peanut items and also buy or bring some snacks for your ferry as you can feed the seagulls (was the best part when we went udo island)

Oedolgae, also known as Independence Rock, is a striking sea stack located off the coast of Jeju. Rising 20 meters above the sea, this freestanding rock formation offers dramatic cliffside views and can be easily accessed via a short walking track. Situated in the southern part of the island, it is a popular spot for visitors to enjoy its photogenic beauty throughout the day. To avoid crowds and capture the best light, early morning or late afternoon visits are recommended.
This is a stunning natural wonder! Visiting in autumn was perfect – cooler temperatures and fewer crowds made for a peaceful experience. I can imagine summer would be busier... The unique rock formation and coastal views are breathtaking. A must-see Jeju Island attraction, ideal for photography and enjoying the natural beauty. Highly recommend going out there and having a look! Its free, so why not. there is free and paid parking when you get there and a toilet block.
Binky T — Google review
Visiting Oedolgae was a very enjoyable experience. I walked there from central Seogwipo and was able to experience everything the trails had to offer while being “one with nature.” The views are incredible and everyone around me was really nice. Everyone took turns equally while getting pictures and were respectful with each-other. After enjoying the main attraction for a while, I walked around the conjoining park area for a bit and was able to see even more fantastic views all alone.
Kristopher H — Google review
This was one our few sunny days in our October trip. We got some beautiful shots of Oedolgae and the surrounding coast. I would definitely suggest adding this site to your Jeju itinerary. There are 2 parking lots. The first one charges KRW2000. The second one is free.

Free entrance to site but parking cost 2000won. I use the stairs down did the loop and came back through main road! Very nice during sunset and not as crowded as other sites! Recommend

Oedolgae Rock is a very unique and impressive creation of Mother Nature. It is also known as Janggunseok Rock. According to a local legend, an old woman was transformed into this rock after waiting in vain for her husband to return from a fishing trip. This huge piece of rock, about 20m high and 10m in circumference, stands majestically in the sea near the coast. It is estimated to be about 1.5 million years old now. It is one of the must-visit attractions in Jeju island. Entrance is free of charge. It is accessible by public buses.

The beach features a picturesque arched bridge, a striking red lighthouse, and black volcanic rocks contrasting with soft white sand. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as camping or kayaking while taking in the serene surroundings.
The hamduck beach in Jeju-island is so beautiful place on earth. You can see so many fish and enjoy water sports as like snorkeling, surfing, sailing and foods.

The beach is neatly maintained, and is pretty huge too. Walking from one corner to the other is a task in itself. The waters are serene and peaceful. The beach has some great sand art that is photogenic. It is not that crowded too which makes it a perfect spot to spend some good quality quiet time.
Balasubramanian G — Google review
Loved this beach except there isn’t any shade so you have to bring your own. Most people with tents were respectful and set up at the back. There’s a trail on the east side to walk along.
K K — Google review
I visited with my wife on a weekday. It wasn’t exactly empty, but it wasn’t overly crowded either. On the beach, there were separate areas: one for parasols available for rent and another where visitors could set up their own parasols. Since there were plenty of activities and food options nearby, we were able to enjoy everything without needing to go elsewhere. As for parking, we used the free parking lot, but on busier days it might be difficult to find a spot there. So, it would be better to plan ahead for parking before visiting.

Beautiful beach. White sands. I imagine it would be nicer in the warmer months when you can enjoy the water. Otherwise, there's not much to do here. Photo ops are plentiful, though.

Nature & Parks
Hallim Park is a popular destination in the northwest of Jeju Island, offering a mix of scenic gardens, two caves, a small zoo, and a folk village. The park features various themed gardens showcasing diverse flora and fauna. It also includes a children's amusement park for young visitors. Adjacent to the park is Jeju's largest bathing beach with clear blue waters and black volcanic sands, attracting many tourists who come to enjoy the sunset.
This is a park with a surprising amount of variety in a very easily walkable space. Winding caves, waterfalls, birds and peacocks, reptiles, flower gardens, bonsai gardens, a cultural village, and actually a really cute gift shop too. You could spend a couple of hours here or a whole day, without having to kill yourself walking to see everything as it's all very comfortably reached on foot. Beware of mosquitoes in the summer though!
Crystal G — Google review
What a cool place with a unique story. The caves are breathtaking (at least for me) and the variety of fruit trees and cacti is amazing. The whole grounds are wonderful to take in, I can imagine any season would be a delight. The restaurant on site was delicious and it wasn’t very busy. The souvenir store was also great. Happy to support places like this that seem to be a dream realized. I would definitely come back! Worth every penny.
Thomas S — Google review
I usually am not impressed by places like this but this botanical garden was really beautiful, had a peaceful atmosphere and lots of different plants and a few animals. Also the lave caves and little restored folk village were really cool! Bit more expensive than many sites on the island (15,000 won) but so worth it as you get so many things in one place!! We visited on a Saturday in lovely weather and were pleasantly surprised that the park did not feel crowded even though there were a few visitors.
Claudia K — Google review
Very impressed with this park. There's a small entry fee but well worth it. The park is a good 90 minute walk, longer if you're very interested in learning more about the wealth of flora and fauna on offer here. There are tropical gardens as well as bonsai, a cultural village, various animals, and a small cave complex with it's grounds which were awesome. A cafe and shop is nearby and it's a short walk from the beach where parking is available.

We absolutely loved this place. We spent hours here and it wasn't even blooming season. Everything is pure, clean, looked after. Caves are amazing and every garden has it's peculiarities. Restaurants at the park is also cheap and so so tasty! Highly recommended Entrance is very cheap. Not busy at all. Toilets everywhere so clean and tidy. Only thing I personally didn't like were caged birds, but I guess there was no other option
Isma M — Google review
Beautiful place but the birds, especially the parrots, need a larger aviary/more entertainment. The parrots shouldn't have round top cages. Peacocks are free ranging. Caves are cooling.
Z F — Google review
Such a cool place. For a $10 ticket you get to see a wide range of plants, flowers, animals, and two caves. It's well worth more than what they charge and a nice excursion.
Andi G — Google review
Lovely place for stroll round the gardens. Beautifully curated and the 3 "caves" or rather know as lava tubes are intriguing for us. Definitely a must see in Jeju.

Jungmun Saekdal Beach is a popular spot located in the flamboyant Jeju Resort Complex on the south coast of Jeju Island. It offers large waves, making it a great surfing destination, and amenities such as showers and access to nearby eateries. The beach is conveniently situated just a short drive from Jeju City International Airport, making it easily accessible for visitors. Families will find plenty of attractions in the area, including iconic landmarks suitable for children of all ages.
Very pretty beach with great views, plenty of parking, came from the parking lot slightly east. Great place to take a longer stroll, since there are trails that connect from some of the resorts in the area which are readily accessible. Showers, lifeguards, restrooms all around as well. You can enjoy the ocean, catch some waves and sun, then grab some food, great place to spend a sunny afternoon.

4.5/5 stars. It’s a pretty and small beach. Came in Oct so it wasn’t crowded. I grew up driving to Malibu beach in California regularly on the weekends, so this beach is not as impressive, but still has a nice vibe. Pictures turned out pretty with the palm trees and cliffs.
Miriam M — Google review
Beautiful beach with a peaceful atmosphere. There was a warning sign for jellyfish, but it didn’t take away from the experience. It’s a relatively small beach for walking along the coast, but the size and location felt just right. I’d love to go back and reconnect with nature anytime. I already miss it!

October 6th 2025. Water temp is like bath water, waves were small but fun and surfable for beginners. Waves were better/bigger yesterday. Good vibes. Highly recommend

There is a large parking lot and an easy walk to Jungman Saekdal Beach. You may have to pay for parking during the high season, but we did not have to in October. The Jeju Surfing School was giving lessons. "Be Careful of Sharks".
K J — Google review
Great place! Big beach, great view, few people (we were there in early September). In the afternoon the waves come and you can surf. There are posters at the entrance to the beach that you can't swim because there are no lifeguards, but no one pays attention to it.
Dima W — Google review
Nice beach and great views. The beach has toilets which were relatively clean and maintained. There are a couple of shops near the entrance including a GS25. The beach is not the best for swimming as the waves are pretty aggressive, but it is just perfect for surfing a bit.

A quiet, clean beach. The water was very blue, and the sand was golden. It's not very crowded.

Ollae Guksu is a popular dining spot for both locals and tourists, offering delicious noodle dishes topped with flavorful pork. The generous portions and delectable taste keep customers coming back for more. While the menu is limited, the food arrives promptly, making it a great option for a quick mid-day snack. The restaurant is bustling in the morning, attracting a diverse crowd including Koreans and earning high praise as a three Michelin star establishment.
Our last breakfast in Jeju before heading back to Busan. This popular restaurant has only 1 item on their menu - pork noodle (Guksu). Doesn’t look like much but taste is so clean and rich. Great for a cold morning. Highly recommended! 🍜

The pork noodle soup is really delicious. The soup is clear and flavourful. Pork meat is plentiful. Counted at least 10 slices, some buried under the noodles. (Jeju airport restaurant sells the same with only 2 slices of meat) Definitely recommend fellow travellers to try it if you haven’t! Must try!

This restaurant only has one item on the menu. It’s pork noodle soup! They are very generous with their portions, and with the amount of sliced pork (there were more underneath the noodles). So so so delicious and umami, highly recommend. This was our last meal in Jeju and it left us wanting more. One bowl is 10,000 won, it can’t get better than that!

If you're visiting Jeju Island, make sure to stop by the renowned Myeongjin Jeonbok Abalone Restaurant, known for its delectable abalone dishes. The restaurant offers a limited menu featuring four main dishes: abalone sizzling stone pot rice, grilled abalone, rice porridge with abalone, and sliced raw abalone. This establishment is popular among locals and tourists alike, often drawing long queues due to its exceptional culinary offerings.
Spacious and clean restaurant overlooking the beautiful ocean. Not many people yet when we were there as we came early to beat the crowd. Their abalone porridge was superb. The grilled abalone was tasty and fantastic. Even their side dishes were nicely done and we could top-up if we have finished the plate. Nice area with garden, swing and carpark space.
Noorzidah N — Google review
We arrived around 1:15 PM and had a short wait of about 10 minutes for our table. Upon entering, you place your order and name with the staff, who will let you know when to come back — ours was 10 minutes later. The menu is simple, and we tried the abalone rice claypot, butter abalone, and abalone sashimi. The banchan includes mackerel, which is fairly generous and tasty, though slightly on the salty side. The abalone rice claypot is absolutely delicious! There are instructions on how to enjoy it, and following them really elevates the experience — from the first bite to the last, it’s amazing. Surprisingly, about 40% of the diners were Singaporeans, which made it feel a little like home!
Tan. W — Google review
Went twice within a month, and the freshness of the abalone differed a lot. A local restaurant that gained online traction and has become a bit too popular. Overall not bad, but slightly overhyped in my opinion.

***HOW TO QUEUE*** Go to the counter and put your name down with the lady. Need to state what you want to order also, so when they sit you they can start serving you the food. You can always add more items when you’re seated. The abalone rice in the hot stone pot is quite good and the grilled abalone is very nicely done too. Worth a visit if you’re in the area. They have a few branches around the island.

Hangover soup restaurant
Ujin Haejangguk is a family-friendly restaurant located in Jeju, offering a welcoming ambiance and a helpful staff that assists with menu translations. The waiting time is minimal compared to other restaurants on the island. The restaurant operates on a queue system, providing guests with a number and inviting them to wait in the nearby area.
Expect to wait to get a seat. The line can often take two hours. I recommend estimating they seat 60 teams an hour so if your ticket is 120 teams in front of you then you can comfortably expect to come back within two hours and be there in time for when your number is called. Visually the food doesn’t look great but it did definitely taste good and I recommend trying it.
Warren W — Google review
Our first meal after landing in Jeju was at Ujin Haejangguk, a spot known for its hangover soups. We had gosari haejangguk (bracken soup) and momguk (gulfweed soup). Both were super comforting but I preferred the momguk as the gosari got a bit jelak after a while. We also had a crispy mung bean pancake that was incredibly yummy and satisfying. Overall 7.5/10

Ujin Haejangguk is an absolute must-try restaurant! I was incredibly fortunate to avoid the long wait times that are typically associated with this place (1.5-2 hours!). The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the spicy beef congee, which was an absolute delight, especially on a rainy day. The flavors were on point, and the tender beef slices added a fantastic touch. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service, while the cozy ambiance enhanced the overall experience. If you're looking for an unforgettable culinary adventure, Ujin Haejangguk should be at the top of your list!

This restaurant is popular among locals and tourists alike, offering high-quality pork and excellent service. It has even attracted celebrities and K-pop stars, adding to its allure. The ambiance may resemble a typical Korean pork grill place, but the experience is anything but ordinary.
Black pork is a must try! The meat cooked by the staff is like wagyu quality pork that melts in your mouth. But it’s very Smokey and smelly. Prepared to smell after eating.

The place looks like a typical Korean pork grill place but don't let the look deceive you. Considering the quality of black pork and their service, this place is definitely one of the most outstanding black pork grill restaurant you can meet in Jeju.

Wow! The best pork BBQ place in Jeju. The meat was tender and juicy. The menu is combination of pork belly and pork butt. The pork butt was the hit! Very delicious! I wish they offer the menu of pork butt only. I still miss the taste of the meat! Only thing that I did not like about was the mosquitoes. The windows were wide open cuz I went to this place in October and the weather was still pretty warm. We got there right after they were open, and didn't have to wait on line. I would definitively come back to this place and recommend this place to my family.

Shopping
Dongmun Traditional Market, established in 1945, is a bustling indoor market on Jeju Island. It's renowned for offering the freshest seafood caught from the surrounding sea. Visitors can savor freshly prepared raw fish and local delicacies like omegi tteok and gogi guksu. The market also boasts a wide array of souvenirs, making it a popular shopping destination for both tourists and locals.
It was our last night in South Korea. The Dongmun Market is not much different from the half dozen other markets we visited during our trip (except they sell a lot of oranges in Jeju Island!). It was a nice way to spend our last evening amongst the people, colours, sounds and tastes of a popular Korean market. We ended up dining on cheap but tasty flame-broiled black pork rolls, black pork skewers and steamed dumplings from the food stalls.
K J — Google review
Dongmun Traditional Market was not quite what I expected, it felt more like a typical tourist market than a local one. That said, the energy is lively, and the street food scene is worth checking out. One highlight I recommend is the freshly squeezed tangerine juice, sweet, refreshing, and a nice way to enjoy one of Jeju’s specialties. If you’re nearby, it’s worth a quick visit, but don’t expect a hidden gem, it’s popular for a reason.
Dani J — Google review
I love going to local markets and won’t miss a chance to explore one. There are a huge variety of seafood vendors and plenty of those selling tangerines and snacks. It is a must to get a bottle of tangerine juice. And the tangerine mochi were really great, I love them and they were not too sweet as well. The natural sweetness of tangerine goes really well with the red beans and the mochi has such a light texture. Most of the shops are selling the same things with the same promotion mechanics. Just get from someone that you like. Great place to get some snacks as souvenirs. I like the dark chocolate tangerines and also the gummy sweets.

Liva L — Google review
A Sensory Journey: My Honest Review of Dongmun Traditional Market, Jeju (4/5 Stars) Stepping into Dongmun Traditional Market felt like being enveloped in a warm, buzzing hug. From the moment I crossed the threshold, the air was alive with the scent of fresh seafood, sweet tangerines, and sizzling street food. It's truly the beating heart of Jeju, and I'm so glad I made the time to get lost in its vibrant chaos. My visit was in the late afternoon, transitioning into the early evening, which I highly recommend. The market hums during the day with locals doing their daily shopping – the freshest fish, vibrant produce, and everyday essentials. It was fascinating to see this side of Jeju life, a stark contrast to some of the more picturesque, tranquil spots on the island. But as the sun dipped lower, Dongmun transformed. The "Night Market" section came alive with dazzling neon lights and the rhythmic sizzle of countless food stalls. This is where my emotional connection truly began. I wandered, mesmerized by the sheer variety: blow-torched black pork skewers, cheesy abalone, vibrant fruit tanghulu, and endless variations of local pancakes. The energy was infectious, with vendors calling out to passersby and the happy chatter of families and friends. I remember stopping at a stall selling Jeju's famous Hallabong tangerines. The vendor, a sweet elderly lady with a bright smile, insisted I try a piece. It was incredibly juicy and sweet, bursting with the essence of the island. It wasn't just a transaction; it was a small, genuine moment of connection that made me feel truly welcome. I splurged on some freshly prepared sashimi, which was unbelievably fresh, practically melting in my mouth. And of course, I couldn't resist a few of the adorable tangerine-themed souvenirs – a little reminder of the island's unique charm. While the market is undeniably a fantastic experience, I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 stars. My only slight reservation was that, at times, it felt a little too touristy, especially in the main night market food area. Some stalls seemed to offer very similar items, and the sheer crowds could be a bit overwhelming if you're looking for a peaceful stroll. It felt less "traditional" and more "attraction" in those moments. However, that small point doesn't detract from the overall magic. Dongmun Traditional Market is an assault on the senses in the best possible way. It's a place where you can taste the authentic flavors of Jeju, witness the lively spirit of its people, and leave with a bag full of goodies and a heart full of cherished memories. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to truly immerse themselves in Jeju's local culture.

If you're looking for a quick and casual meal, Oneunjeong Gimbap is the place to go. They are known for serving the most famous Korean street food, gimbap (Korean sushi). The original and tuna gimbap are highly recommended, with added tempura flakes that provide a satisfying crunch. The seasoning and rice-to-filling ratios are just perfect. Due to their popularity, it's advisable to call ahead and place an order.
No wonder why this place is so popular their kimbab is really good. I ordered original and tuna kimbab, both are excellent. I like that they add tempura flakes, it have an added crunch to it. The seasoning, the rice to filling ratios was just perfect. They are really popular so you need to call and order ahead.
Kwan J — Google review
We were one of the 1st customers since hotel was just a few steps away. Ordered everything except tuna. Everyone in the family thought the other gimbal stall was a tat better. The reasons: 1) oneunjeong gimbap had a crunch in all their gimbap. I think this is one their 'secret sauce' 2) the taste is largely similar for all 3 gimbap. 3) oily 3.5 to 4stars. I seriously cannot see myself wait few hours for this. Takeaway only.
Cheow C — Google review
Many people say this is the best kimbap in Jeju—and I can see why! The flavor is unique thanks to the addition of fried tofu inside, which adds an extra layer of taste. I recommend making a reservation in advance if you can, because it gets really busy with lots of people buying. We took ours to the beach and enjoyed it there—it was a really relaxing experience.
Roobee — Google review
Only take out, no dinning in, need about 20mins of waiting time for freshly prepared gimbap. Ordered original, cheese, short ribs gimbap, subtle different between their taste, all 3 are excellent with firm rice, crunchy stuff and fresh ingredient.
Will T — Google review
First time I was here during dragon week, We walked in wanting to order at 9am for a hallasan hike but the pick up time they had was 4pm.. didn’t get to try it. This time we had a korean friend along and ordered through the phone and got all 7 flavors. Took endless attempts to get through the line.. First bite was kinda interesting. There’s like tempura crumbs or some kind of crispy crumps in the rice. But otherwise just tasted like 김밥. But nothing really life changing to have to attempt to call the place 30 times in order to get through an order at 12pm for collection at 5pm.. and it’s also a take out only place.
Terence L — Google review
The best Korean kimbap you’ll ever have tried in your life. We liked it so much we pre ordered 12 rolls for three adults for our trip back to Seoul. I crave this place often as I haven’t found another place that can make kimbap as good as them. If you’re on Jeju island, you have to try this place!

A hole-in-the-wall takeaway place for gimbap that I walked past and almost missed. Owners were friendly and service-oriented despite brisk business. Gimbap was served promptly and tasted simply delicious, even for those we kept from lunch until dinner.

Sangchunjae offers a unique twist on the traditional bibimbap by mixing it with savory and nutty ssamjang. The restaurant is known for its high-quality ingredients, especially the tender and juicy grilled mackerel. While there may be a wait for a table, the fantastic food and attentive service make it worth considering.
Wholesome & delicious meals. Despite seeing other people’s reviews of their poor customer service, we saw they were normal, experienced and professional. I did see the “guy” though, and behind the wall, he is on his phone a lot (I can see because my table can view behind it). But that is not a big issue because he is doing it “behind the scenes”. They have a limited meal (only 15 per day) of the mackerel nutrition pot rice. I was tempted because of the limited availability. It is very delicious but I think the elderly and someone like my dad would really enjoy and appreciate the healthiness. This restaurant also has a reputation of healthy foods. We actually came for the octopus bibimbap and wow it is really worth coming back for!! Normally you mix everything together, but the lady told us a different method. The rice, octopus dish and bibimbap sauce is separate. Firstly, mix the octopus dish by itself. Then dip your spoon into the sauce (light layer is what I did), then grab a spoonful of the octopus dish, followed by some rice all in the same spoon. Then eat & repeat! Lastly, I appreciate the many side dishes; the best side dish is the mushroom. It is absolutely delectable. Please don’t get turned off by the negative reviews and give this place a try!

The food here is delicious. My favorites were the mackerel and the black pork rice. We arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before opening and got into the queue at number 9. 5 stars if it wasn't for the ridiculous amount of wait. Price was not cheap but reasonable considering the quality of their ingredients. They had one of the best mackerels I've ever had. It was super tender and juicy. Their bibimbop was very fresh tasting as well. Overall clean. Workers were nice. Very strict about covid regulations which is good. Would like to come back but the wait is something to consider if you have limited time at Jeju.

Highly recommend the sea urchin bibimbap! It's so fresh and the portion against the price is so worth it. They even gave raw crab as a side! Their last order is 2.30pm and we almost didn't make it. We did saw people being rejected at 2.30pm. So be early to avoid getting rejected.

The octopus bibimbap, sea urchin and pollack roe bibimbap and cockles bibimbap were really delicious. They were packed with umami from the seafood and savoury sauce yet tasted healthy because of the fresh greens. I also liked the extra crunch from the seeds. The grilled mackerel was tasty as well though it was slightly on the tough side. Overall a great and value-for-money meal.

The menu offers a variety of cuts of meat and includes tasty side dishes like kimchi stew. The attentive servers are praised for grilling the meat to perfection and providing guidance on how to enjoy it with the accompaniments.
Awesome food and service. We ate at a strange timing of 3pm so there wasnt an issue getting a table. You have to scan a QR code and input your email (we're foreigners) and you'll get an email once your table is ready. We got the email almost immediately. Portions are generous; 2 people can order 2 portions of meat and 2 bowls of rice and it's a comfortable amount. Price depends on what you order. 2 of us came up to 69,000 KRW: 2 portions of meat, 1 bottle of beer, 2 bowls of rice (1 bowl of kimchi stew was given free).

I recently visited the Sukseongdo Jeju main branch and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the counter staff provided excellent service, and the cooking staff, despite their limited English, displayed a good attitude and made us feel welcome. The meat was tasty, but I felt it was a bit overrated. While we spent USD$240 for five people, I believe there are cheaper alternatives that offer similar flavors. Additionally, I was disappointed that they did not serve lettuce for free flow, and we had to pay for extra chili as well. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the high prices and additional charges for items that are typically complimentary left me feeling underwhelmed.

Let me tell you something. Ignore all the bad reviews, this place really worth the wait, I went with Korean friends so they did the booking, we have 60 tables ahead of us so we chilled in the hotel until our turn was near. Let me tell yo something again, the day before we went to another black pig famous restaurant and it was just ok. But this place is from another world, the meat is aged for 2 to 3 months and taste just amazing and the prices is really normal. Every one was working very hard and very help full Well done 👏

Very Disappointing Experience Space We paid a deposit in advance to reserve a table for five. However, the server offered us a table for four and said no larger tables were available. A table for four was too cramped for five adults. This is ridiculous. Even if we randomly selected a restaurant on Black Pork Street, they offered us a table for six. Service Additionally, the service was not attentive at all. There were quite a few servers around us, but no one seemed to be looking at the customers. I raised my hand for five minutes to ask for water refills. One server came to help us grill the meat but left in the middle after speaking some Korean. We had no clue whether to wait for him to return or if the meat was ready to eat. Ultimately, the meat was too tough. Food We arrived at 7pm, but half of the pork options were sold out. We had no chance to try the famous bone and rib. I came with high expectations, but it turned out to be the worst dining experience of my trip to Jeju. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

This place RULES! we got there 15 min before opening (11:30) and put our name in the queue but still had to wait 30 min. The other location a block away didnt open until 1. Anyway, we went in and they had an english menu. We got the 960 sirloin, which they only have 80 servings of every day, and the pork cheek. Both were great, but the sirloin was so buttery and delicious! The cold noodle was also good, and the fried cutlass fish rice complemented the pork well. Overall, service was speedy and efficient, you can get refills of lettuce, and the sauces and side dishes were great.

The aged black pork is really delicious! Cripsy outer with tender meat, I think it is worth the wait. Do note that there is now another outlet along the same stretch from the main store. Would love to visit again!

We were number 70 on the wait list, within an hour we were sitting. Our server was excellent, seeing as how I don't know the proper way to eat traditional black pork he showed me and made my first couple for me, after that I was on a roll. Excellent food quality, excellent side dishes. The unique flavors that possessed me yesterday were like no other I've ever had. I've had pork all over the world and this black pork is top 3 pork for me, just after chestnut pork in Toronto. I'm clearly the biggest eater at our table for 5 but the was an abundance of different foods and I literally couldn't get enough. I was full but because the food is such a quality food I did not feel gross after. Just at peace. I would definitely recommend this experience for all newcomers to Jeju-do. Our server even knew some English. I know tipping isn't necessarily necessary here but my guy deserved it with his amazing table side service. 9.5/10!

This was probably the best kbbq I’ve had in my life. The black pork was delicious, and the workers are helpful and friendly. We came twice while we were in Jeju. The first time we came at 4:30pm and waited 40 mins. The second time we came an hour before opening and got seated 10 mins after opening. Some of the speciality meats sell out in the afternoon, but we thought the normal meats were just as good if not better than the limited meats.

Dessert shop
Jimmy's Natural Ice Cream, located on Udo Island in Jeju, is a must-visit for those with a sweet tooth. The owner, Jimmy, is known for his friendly and accommodating nature. Visitors have raved about the peanut ice cream and the refreshing mango apple flavor. The picturesque views from the shop add to the overall experience. Customers also recommend trying the hallabong and mandarin orange flavors as well as enjoying a cup of iced coffee alongside their ice cream.
6,000 won for ice cream. A little pricey but worth every penny. There are so many pictures of celebrities on the wall. Seems to be the original/most famous ice cream place for Udo. After purchasing, you will be guided to level 2 to have a better sea breeze in the AC while you eat your ice cream.

Ice cream was okay. The interiors have a lot of photos taken by owner with probably some celebs. Many similar ice cream shops around, so not sure if this is the better one. Can't deny on the location, great view of the coast. It is just next to the bus stop so drop by if you are near.
NT T — Google review
The peanut ice cream was quite rich and not too sweet and the view by the cliff is quite nice to appreciate as well. Owner is quite friendly and gave free samples but I do feel 6000 won is quite steep of a price. The wind is quite strong and cold by the cliffs so do be prepared.

I had two servings of ice cream and a cup of iced coffee after a long walk on the island! The owner was friendly, he asked for how many persons I ordered for ㅎㅎ coffee and ice cream complement each other well. Deserve 5 stars for the taste, view, service and happiness

Jeju Kim Man-bok Main Store is a must-visit for those craving authentic Korean seafood cuisine on Jeju Island. This restaurant offers an array of delectable seafood dishes, including prawns, oysters, and beef recipes. Their standout dish is the Abalone Gimbap, highly recommended by patrons. Conveniently located near car rental services, it's an ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely meal before departing the island.
The seafood ramen was good and flavourful. I tried the kimbap but it wasn’t to my liking.
Ade L — Google review
Ironically the kimbap was not very nice, too bland and the egg tasted jelly-like.. it was the ramyeon that saved the day! Very flavorful and full of ingredients!
Benson L — Google review
The food is nice, the price is reasonable. You may request the tea with your order for free, I guess the tea is tangerine flavour.

I’d like to introduce you to Jeju Kim Man Bok, a restaurant on Jeju Island. The abalone kimbap and abalone rice ball are the must-try items at this restaurant. This restaurant offers a flavor and setting that let you enjoy Jeju Island’s water. I truly want to suggest it to you, but be aware that because it’s well-liked by both visitors and locals, you should carefully review the opening and closing times. Also, because ordering is done through kiosks, you might not be able to fully appreciate the staff’s service.

Jeju International Airport (CJU) is the main gateway to Jeju Island, offering flights to various domestic destinations as well as cities in China, Japan, and Taiwan. The airport is known for its unique snack made with fresh Jeju tangerine cream sandwiched between Hershey crispy cookies, a popular treat that can only be found on the island. Visitors can also find accommodations easily with options available for different preferences.
Please take note that the Jeju International Airport is NOT open 24 hours a day. It closes at night after the last flight for the day. It reopens at 5.00am. So, airline passengers cannot sleep overnight at the airport if they have an early flight the next day. You can stay in a hotel in Jeju City and take a taxi to the airport at 4.00am. Taxis are easily available at this early hour. The fare is only about 5,000won.

Airport is not busy for our flight landing timing. Customs was smooth except for the compulsory filling up of arrival card. Need to fill up many details. Buses to the car rentals are outside across the road. Just follow the bay numbers.

Nice airport with restaurants, cafes, car rental, etc. It's clean and passing through immigration is very fast, efficient and easy. Domestic and international is at the same place. Very easy to claim tax refund. All the staff there can speak English and they are very nice. Airport departure is big with lots of chairs. Duty free items quite reasonably priced. For car rent, the company can bring the car to the airport for a cost and for you to take and drive away around Jeju Island.

Clean and efficient. We still made it to our 7am boarding time even if we arrived a quarter of an hour before.

Flying into Jeju was a lovely sight. I could see Hallasan and the wind farms from the plane. It was a good experience even before landing on Jeju Island. Airport Limousine bus 600 and 601 to Seogwipo.

For Muslim travellers, there is a prayer room (Musollah) located at the departure hall after customs. Go to 2F which is one floor down via escalator. Walk to the end, opposite Gate 22. "Prayer Room", inside there is a washing tap & bidet, with 2 smaller rooms one for male & one for female. No Qiblat arrow, but my phone compass says Qiblat is 9 oclock, as you face the 2 rooms.
