An Bang Beach, located just 3 kilometers east of Hoi An, is a serene escape that beautifully combines natural beauty with local charm. This picturesque beach features soft white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, making it an ideal spot for sunbathing or enjoying the gentle waves. The area is lined with charming beach huts and offers a variety of eateries where you can savor fresh seafood and refreshing cocktails while soaking in stunning views of Da Nang Bay and the Marble Mountains.
It's a nice beach with fine sand. I went there during week days so it wasn't busy. The beach is clean and water temperature is perfect to cool down. There are a few vendors trying to sell you stuff but they are very polite and might have a quick chat with you.

A great spot to unwind, An Bang Beach offers a clean stretch of sand, plenty of shade under beach huts, and rows of loungers perfect for relaxing. The beachfront is lined with a mix of thatched umbrellas and green canvas canopies, giving it a tropical feel. There’s a safety net installed along the swimming area which is a thoughtful touch, especially on busier days. The beach was clean and pleasant to walk along barefoot. At the top of the beach, you’ll find a long line of restaurants and bars. Most of the better spots (and better prices) are on the right-hand side if you’re facing the ocean – definitely worth walking all the way down to compare. It can get quite crowded during the hotter afternoons, but that only adds to the lively vibe. Whether you’re in the mood for a swim, a sunbathe, or a chilled coconut under a hut, this beach delivers a great afternoon escape.
John W — Google review
Very nice and cleaner than I thought from reading reviews. Very very long walkable beach with sand. Sand can get very hot so make sure to bring footwear. Otherwise the water is nice and clear and you do not need water shoes. Not much to snorkel here but if you have goggles there are some different fish to see as well as occasional jellyfish… The beach chairs and umbrellas are free if you order food and drinks from the restaurants which own those chairs…
David E — Google review
Clean, beautiful stretch of beach. Warm water, soft sand, and calm waves perfect for the whole family. Plenty of good restaurants lined along the beach, if you order food from them then you dont have to pay the lounger and umbrella. We are lucky that we are staying just a good 5 minutes walk away from the beach. During our stay, we get to do our early morning walk and swim in the morning.
Russ L — Google review
An Bang Beach in Hoi An is a beautiful and relaxing spot with soft sand and clear water. It’s a great place to swim, walk, or just unwind by the sea. There are plenty of beachside cafes and restaurants where you can grab a drink or meal while enjoying the view. It can get a bit crowded later in the day, but the atmosphere is laid-back and friendly. A perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon in Hoi An.
Lydia C — Google review
Wide, expansive golden sands meet calm waters (not the clearest, but overall fine)—perfect for relaxing strolls. Super pleasant vibe with tons of beachfront restaurants offering fresh eats right on the sand. Rented a surfboard easily and had a blast catching waves. Highly recommend!
Tzvi A — Google review
Some places are extremely crowded, while others are quite quiet. There are various water and beach activities that can be freely enjoyed. The sand is also clean and allows to walk barefoot. However, in some areas near abandoned places, there is low maintenance, resulting in trash, broken glass, and trees.
Kyaw M — Google review
perfect spot for both local and foreign tourists. The water is purely blue and the vibe is feasty on the beach. There are many food options with reasonable price. Totally safe and worth the money

Japanese Covered-Bridge

Mentioned on

Historical landmark
Bridge
Chùa Cầu, also known as the Japanese Covered Bridge, is a significant landmark in Hoi An, Vietnam. Dating back to the 18th century, this wooden bridge was built by Japanese merchants to connect their quarter with the Chinese quarter. The bridge features intricate carvings and sculptures of two dogs and two monkeys, symbolizing prominent Japanese Emperors' birth years. Surrounded by ancient houses adorned with lanterns, Chùa Cầu holds cultural and historical significance.
The Japanese Bridge, located in Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most fascinating cultural attractions in Vietnam. Built in the 17th century, this monument has witnessed many changes in the town. If you come to Hoi An, it is a must-visit. The Japanese Bridge is called Chua Cau Bridge in Vietnamese. It was built by Japanese merchants to connect with the Chinese neighborhood. It was built for communication and connections and has a very important meaning. The Japanese Bridge in Hoi An is considered a beautiful representation of the town’s long history. For centuries, this bridge has connected the past, present, and future. In 1719, Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu visited Hoi An and inscribed the name “Lai Vien Kieu” in three characters at the entrance of the bridge. This means “Lai Vien Kieu” in Vietnamese and “Bridge to Welcome Guests from Far Away” in English. Also, because this tower was mainly built by the Japanese, it was named the "Japanese Bridge" or "Japanese Covered Bridge." Although it is commonly called the "Japanese Bridge," it is a unique combination of Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese cultures in terms of building materials, design, patterns, and decorations. On February 17, 1990, this bridge was designated as a national historic and cultural heritage. There are a dog and a monkey at the entrance and exit of the bridge, respectively. These two statues symbolize the guardian deities of the bridge, as they symbolize protection and safety in Japanese culture. It is also said that these two statues mean that the construction began in the Year of the Monkey and was completed in the Year of the Dog. Various cafes and restaurants have been built on both sides of the street centered around the Japanese Bridge, utilizing old and quaint houses. The old cultural heritage of Hoi An (UNESCO World Heritage) and the appearance of the ancient city still remain along the street. There are many unique cafes and restaurants here. There are also many shops selling traditional specialties, handmade products, and souvenirs on the street. And there are various galleries of various genres gathered here. This street was also a place where trade between Vietnam and Japan was active in the 17th century. It is a place with many things to see, so I recommend you visit. Unlike the daytime, the nighttime scenery is also breathtakingly beautiful.
Danny H — Google review
The rich history of Hoi An is captured beautifully by this landmark bridge and the nearby Chinese temple, but the true charm of old Hoi An lies in the glorious street scene with shops, restaurants and coffee outlets galore, and as far as we could tell they’re all awesome. Each evening the locals put on events like the lantern parade on the river, and the spectacular Hoi An memories show which I personally cannot recommend highly enough.
Peter L — Google review
It's a nice bridge but don't get your expectations too high! You'll enjoy taking pictures there if it's not too crowded. I think this place is more interesting if you are into historical stuff, the origin of the bridge, architecture, etc. Other that that... It's a bridge!
Dimitri S — Google review
This iconic landmark sits in the heart of Hoi An’s Old Town and offers both charm and history. Built in the late 16th century by Japanese traders, it connected their settlement with the Chinese quarter across the river and symbolized peace between the communities. It’s beautifully decorated and famously guarded by statues of dogs and monkeys at either end — symbolic of the years it began and was completed. The area can get quite busy, especially around lunchtime, late afternoon, and into the evening when the lighting is perfect for photos. Many visitors gather on the riverbank to capture the bridge in all its charm. Despite the crowds, it’s a must-visit while exploring the Old Town.
John W — Google review
The Hoi An Covered Bridge is known a the tourist symbol of the Old Town. One of the highlights on Hoi An tourism with its quiet street scenery. The pagoda is designed with wood imbued with Japanese style with a graceful roof and the foundation is made of stone pillars.
Russ L — Google review
If you’re visiting Hoi An, don’t miss this little gem! The whole town feels full of history and charm, and this shop fits right in. Khoi Khoi Design has so many beautiful handmade dresses — unique pieces for both adults and kids. The quality and design really stand out, and each piece feels one of a kind. The owner was so kind and patient, helping me find the perfect fit. I love that everything is locally made — such a meaningful souvenir to bring home. Definitely worth a visit if you have 2 days in Hoi An!
Mcw C — Google review
This Japanese bride is a major checkpoint for tourists visiting Hoi An Old Town. 🇻🇳On the bridge there is also a small shrine with a wooden building in Japanese style where you can worship and pray for blessings 🙏🏼
King N — Google review
Pretty. Loads of people. Just reopened last night since the recent flooding. The bridge is quite well-maintained.. makes a pretty backdrop for the lantern boats on the river.

Old House of Tan Ky

Historic Sites
Nestled in the heart of Hoi An's ancient Old Quarter, the Old House of Tan Ky is a beautifully preserved 18th-century merchant residence that offers visitors a glimpse into the past. This remarkable home showcases traditional architectural styles typical of Hoi An townhouses, featuring distinct sections for various functions. The front serves as a shop while the back connects to the river wharf, highlighting its historical role in trade.
Visited this historic house in Hoi An’s ancient town, filled with antiques and traditional furnishings. It’s incredible to see how well preserved it is, especially considering the regular flooding in the area. The markings on the wall showing previous flood levels were especially striking. Hard to believe the house has stood through it all.
David P — Google review
Old House of Tan Ky in Hoi An was very crowded like the rest of the town. There was nothing much to see inside. If you have extra time, then you can visit. It’s a small traditional house, but not a must-visit.
Sai V — Google review
If you're in Hoi An, you have to check out the Tan Ky House! It’s right on the Thu Bon River and is an awesome example of a classic Hoi An merchant's home. Even though it's been around for a while, the house still has this really unique vibe and some super cool stories. You'll get to see how the old merchants did business on the river, check out their unique pulley system, and just admire all the cool architecture. It’s a perfect place to really feel the history and see the true beauty of Hoi An.
Do C — Google review
Requires ticket to enter. We didn’t have any so donated some money at the entrance. This house is one of the oldest near the river and stood strong during many floods and the family still lives on upper floor and they only come here at 7pm. The place closes at 5pm anyway. The whole house is made of wood and there are many “mother of pearl” furnitures which are absolutely stunning! Must visit place if you are curious.
Rachitha K — Google review
Beautiful house with plenty of history behind, they slimed everything here is conserved from ancient times but I kind of and again kind of doubt I’m gonna have to trust, which is true this is a very beautiful and pleasant and most likely one of the most interesting places to visiting within ancient time Although not the best that comes with own preference, I do enjoy temples better and unfortunately capacity here should be controlled, they won’t do it, money is more important Shame
Marcos D — Google review
Great to see this old building, still lived in by the latest generation family. Free tour inside to tell you all about it but they will try and sell you souvenirs at the end. Tickets must be purchased elsewhere in the local ticket office.
Paul G — Google review
When you visit, wait for the tour guide in English, it will help you understand the house and its architecture better. You can also see the levels of water during the floods. The place is small and constantly full of tourist groups, which makes it difficult to walk around.
Eduarda — Google review
Beautiful historical house. You can sense the grandeur when it was in it's heydays. With the current generation still residing here, it really is living history. Well worth a visit.

Cua Dai Beach

Beach
Cua Dai Beach, located just 4 kilometers east of Hoi An Ancient Town, is a picturesque destination known for its long stretch of fine white sand and clear waters. This beach has been recognized as one of the most beautiful in Asia by TripAdvisor. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, or taking a leisurely bike ride along the romantic coastline. With rows of palm trees and thatched umbrellas providing shade, it's an ideal spot for relaxation.
Really peaceful, and quiet beach. There are few people and the beach is beautiful.. white sandy beaches much better than those at A Bang Beach. Lounges and umbrellas are available along the beaches at a fee. I paid about VND 50k to use a lounger which is highly recommended if you do not want to be roasted by the scorching sun. Toilets are available for shower. In my opinion, can just skip An Bang beach and come here instead if you want to avoid the crowds.
Keith S — Google review
Ride out past paddy fields and to the beach. Soak in the waves and relax and go get a coffee and some food. Nice way to spend a Sunday. Sad to see the flood barriers which can change the look of photos but obviously necessary after recent history.
Andrew D — Google review
Cua Dai Beach has the foundations of a tropical paradise—with soft sand, tall palm trees, and long stretches of thatched umbrellas offering shade and a peaceful ocean view. From a distance, it definitely has that classic postcard look and a relaxing vibe, especially if you’re just looking to lie on a sunbed and enjoy the breeze. However, a closer look reveals that the area has seen better days. Many of the beachfront restaurants and buildings seem quite tired and in need of maintenance, and the surrounding grounds—especially the patches of overgrown weeds and grass—reflect years of neglect, likely since the pandemic. It’s a shame, because the location has a lot of potential to be a premier coastal destination. Still worth a visit if you’re nearby and looking for some quiet beach time, but it feels like a place that’s been somewhat forgotten and is waiting for a proper revival.
John W — Google review
Fine beach but as everything a bit dirty and unnecessary ugly constructions (pipe) across the beach. Don’t pay for parking, it’s a scam. We just parked our bike and refused to pay as it’s not official at all.
Jeroen K — Google review
Getting better and better every year — the beach is quiet, peaceful and relaxed. It is mostly local restaurants — and pretty much all seafood. They have put some new signs and displays up to make the beach look more beautiful. 🤩 Great work!
Gregory Z — Google review
Clean and nice beach with cafes to relax
Gunaserlan B — Google review
Peaceful and secluded beach, very much preferable to An Bang beach. There are no shacks there but a few shops that sell coconut water etc. Parking was 10000 vnd. If you want to have a quiet time by yourself this is the place to be. There’s no one to bother or disturb you and the water is crystal clear, the beach is clean too.
Sud K — Google review
We took a Grab Taxi from An Bang Beach, where we spent 4 hours. This beach was much less crowded on 10th Nov '24, with only a couple of tourists. The sea water appeared cleaner and greener here, but food options were limited. For those seeking a private experience, this is an excellent beach. However, if you prefer a crowd during the off-season, An Bang Beach is ideal. Remember to carry your own drinking water.

Cham Islands

Archipelago
Cham Islands, also known as Cu Lao Cham or Chiem Bat Lao, is a cluster of islands consisting of one main island and eight smaller islets. Located within Hoi An City, Quang Nam province, this archipelago spans about 15 square kilometers. It offers diverse activities such as scuba diving to encounter rare marine creatures like ghost pipe fish and jellyfish amidst varied vegetation and coral.
We went on a tour with a speed boat and a small group of around 20 people. We did some sightseeing, then we went snorkelling, and stayed an hour at this beach, where the monkeys joined our lunch. We had lots of fun!
Marc T — Google review
A place with little civilization. Very quiet and peaceful. You feel far away from the rest of the world. Perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. Delicious seafood. Great snorkeling. Not recommended for traveling with children (no services for kids).
Aliaksandr D — Google review
Nice island… the water is crystal clear .. but you have to be very careful with your belongings as there are lots of monkeys on this island. Other than that, it is probably the most beautiful islands in Vietnam.
Chan — Google review
We took the tour via Klook. It was well worth the money! Water was very clean at the island, but not the snorkeling spot. Very murky and salty water. I just swam and floated around. Saw some corals and fish. Nothing too exciting. A little scary to get on and off the boat, so wear a good pair of water shoes or sandals with straps. Lunch was very good. I’d take my own snorkeling set or just a goggles. You can’t sit on the chairs closer to the water, unless you order a drink, but the restaurant owner will let you sit right outside the restaurant for free. Cold water shower available, which was very convenient. Most people went back on the shuttle bus back to their hotel in their wet swimsuit! I’d go again! You do not need to join the tour of the island! We sad down and had a drink for 30-45 mins while the rest of the group left to walk around the island with the guide
Norin K — Google review
Went to this island by booking klook app, didnt believed the bad review in the app, turned out the trip is really bad, just as described by klook reviewer🤣 regreted our choice,my friend and i had horrible experience during the trip: 1. The clarity underwater at the snorkeling spot is horrible, max 30% visibility. Couldnt really see the coral reefs and fishes 2. The agency of trip has terrible safety measure, not compulsory to wear safety jacket, and the jacket got no crotch strap 3. Anyhow the island is acceptable to chill, u can walk around to have a look at the mountain and temple, and have some seafood meal there. 4. Snorkeling definitely is a bad bad choice, and the showering place is not sheltered. No privacy at all, the male changing room entrance is directly infront of restaurant!
Tang H — Google review
Nice island! Good for day trip and snorkeling
Shona L — Google review
A lovely island. Don't do the day trip from Hoi An, take the ferry and stay 2 or 3 nights.

Cù Lao Chàm is a tropical gem—pristine beaches and coral reefs that scream island paradise! Snorkeling in the turquoise waters was pure bliss. I used the Joytime app to book a boat tour—hassle-free, with a guide who knew every hidden cove. Lucky me for the sunny vibes! Dive in for an unforgettable escape.

Located near the Ancient Town, it's a convenient spot to grab some local bites before exploring more of Hoi An. The market also offers a variety of traditional dishes such as Quang Noodles and local cakes like Gai Cake and Rose Cake.
Beautiful place to visit especially during the Moon festival! It's so colorful. You can just walk around, ride the boat and light a lantern, or simply hang out and have drink. I definitely recommend to visit this place!

Peaceful experience in Hoi An market. Lot of place to eat , drink and shop. Especially the local ones Saw a lot of coffee and fruits juice places. Banana pancakes with Nutella were nice. Some places were closed due to the heavy rains the previous week and increase in water levels.

Lots of souvenirs to buy but found it much cheaper in Danang. There were lots of cafe and their foods/drinks were great. The Old town area is vibrant at night. No wonder it’s called the City of Lanterns. If given a chance, would definitely be back.
Yaz — Google review
If you want to get a real street food experience in Hoi An, you have to go to the Central Market! They have a ton of traditional dishes there for a super affordable price. Even though the market can get pretty crowded with tourists, it still feels really traditional and is a great place to try local food.

Thanh Ha Pottery Village, Hoi An

Mentioned on

Historic Sites
Thanh Ha Pottery Village in Hoi An is a historic craft village that has been around for over 400 years. The village features traditional pottery workshops and is known for its signature noodle dish. Visitors can explore the red-roof communal houses, yellow brick walls, dock, and banyan tree that represent a real Vietnamese traditional village.
This is such a cool cultural site to see. I took a pottery class for only a few USD (and now have a handmade souvenir to take home with me) and walked around and saw some really beautiful art. The terracotta pieces around the village and within the museum are huge but filled with intricate details that tell different stories about Vietnam. You pay a small fee to enter the village that helps support its residents and their work, and it also covers a small clay souvenir of your choice. Just a really neat place overall.

Super nice activity for kids and family, pick a little shop and make your own! Biking distance from Hoi An old quarter. Entrance fee 35k and remember to pick up your little gift with your ticket code bar at the designated gift shop on ticket. 50 to 100k per person to make yr own and have fun!
Peggy R — Google review
Visit only if you have plenty of time in hoi an. This place is far from main town area. Tickets cost 35k vnd pp where you can choose a souvenir pp from any of the 3 shops they mention. Ticket wasn’t actually necessary as you walk through the lanes and many local shops have same pottery classes and stuffs to sell. Pottery making experience is free with the ticket , but they insist you very much on buying and some places even charge you extra 50k for the pottery making experience. So ask before you start. At one place they said the experience is free and I tried my hands. But they helped me a lot to make the product look good so that I end up buying it. We couldn’t take it with us as we didn’t have space in luggage and it is delicate and have to wait until it dries up. So we had some drinks at the same place which was reasonably priced and very delicious. The place name is cafe GOM. Souvenir- its a cute animal where you can blow whistle! There is also a pottery museum and the tickets cost extra. We did not go here.

Tra Que Vegetable Village

Tra Que Vegetable Village, located just 3km north of Hoi An, is a serene and verdant village known for cultivating a variety of vegetables and herbs using traditional methods that eschew harmful chemicals. The village offers a peaceful environment for visitors to explore on foot or by bicycle. Additionally, there is an excellent organic restaurant on-site, making it a worthwhile destination for those interested in sustainable agriculture and local cuisine.
What an incredible experience! It was fascinating to observe how locals in Vietnam cultivate and purchase their produce. I highly recommend visiting with a small group (on bikes) and a knowledgeable guide who can explain the diverse crops being grown. You’ll even have the opportunity to try traditional farming methods, like watering and turning over the soil yourself.
Cam P — Google review
Visiting the place contributes to the preservation of traditional occupancy village. We saw how to plough the land before adding compost, then planting the green vegetables. Also saw how watering of the vegetables is done. Saw a lot of green vegetables, papaya, winter melons. Really an eye opener
GAN Y — Google review
Tra Que Vegetable Village is just a pleasant walk from An Bang Beach and offers a peaceful escape surrounded by greenery. The rows of herbs and vegetables are beautifully maintained, and there are a few cozy cafes and restaurants around the edges using the fresh produce in their dishes, it’s a lovely setting for a slow wander. When we visited, none of the activities like farming tours or cooking classes were taking place, which was a bit of a letdown since they’re often featured in brochures and signs. It would’ve been helpful to know in advance, especially if you’re coming for the hands-on experience. That said, it’s still a nice spot to explore if you’re after a quieter moment just outside the main town.
John W — Google review
We had such a great time at Tra Que Vegetable Village! The vegetable tour was a wonderful hands-on experience for our kids — they loved learning how the farmers till the soil, plant crops, and water the fields. It really gave them an appreciation of the hard work that goes into food. After the tour, we joined a cooking class and enjoyed a delicious three-course meal for lunch. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience easy and fun. To top it off, we even received a relaxing foot and shoulder massage, which was such a thoughtful touch after the farm work! Highly recommend this experience for families or anyone looking to learn, taste, and relax all in one place.
Wayne I — Google review
We didn’t visit the garden itself per se, but we explored and rode around the village on our electric scooters—and it’s truly a lovely place to discover. The local community is very friendly, and the gardens are beautifully maintained. This is where the 100% organic, delicious vegetables that supply many of Hoi An’s best restaurants are grown. As French natives who love growing our own vegetables, we deeply appreciate fresh, local produce and are very thankful for the hard work and dedication of these talented gardeners. During our one-month stay, we thoroughly enjoyed their beautiful harvests. We were especially impressed by how precisely and skilfully everything is done—traditionally, as it should be. It really is an art, and it deserves recognition. Next time we visit, we’ll make sure to stop for a meal on the island and learn more about this incredible gardening community.

Located right between Hoi An’s Old Town and An Bang beach, Tra Que village is a really unique spot to visit. It’s famous for its amazing veggies and herbs, and it's been around for centuries. The farmers here use these super unique, totally chemical-free methods to grow their herbs. That’s why you’ll find the village's fresh products in some of Hoi An's best dishes, like Cao Lau.

I arrived at 8am and there were no other tourists, just workers. Get here earlier if you want to catch the golden morning light. I asked permission to take people’s photos and 85% were fine with it (1 or 2 even posed)! It’s pleasant to stroll around and see the different vegetables and tools that are used. Just avoid the ‘slow cafe’ if you want a drink afterwards, overpriced and not good. I wish I’d tried one of the other spots next to the gardens.

Highly recommend this tour. Kids stayed engaged and did some hard work on the tools. Cooking class after was really fun. Lunch just delicious. 10/10.

When the sun sets in Hoi An, the vibrant Hoi An Night Market comes to life, transforming Nguyen Hoang Street into a bustling hub of activity. This enchanting market is a must-visit for anyone exploring the historic town, offering an array of street food delights, unique souvenirs, and stylish clothing. As you wander through this lively atmosphere illuminated by colorful silk lanterns reminiscent of a European Christmas market, you'll find yourself immersed in local culture.
The Hội An Night Market is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric spots in Central Vietnam, just a short drive from Đà Nẵng. In the evening, the entire market street comes alive with the glow of hundreds of colorful lanterns. The lantern-lit ambiance gives the area a magical charm, perfect for strolling, taking photos, and soaking up the unique charm of Hội An. The market itself is vibrant and diverse, with a wide variety of shops and stalls lining the street. You’ll find everything from handmade lanterns, souvenirs, and local handicrafts to jewelry, clothes, and small trinkets that make for perfect keepsakes. Many vendors also sell delicious street food and snacks, giving you the chance to try authentic flavors while exploring. What makes the market special is not just the shopping, but the overall vibe. The streets are lively yet relaxed, filled with music, laughter, and the warm hospitality of local vendors. You can feel both the local culture and the tourist buzz blending together in a way that feels festive and welcoming. Being located right by the Thu Bồn River, the night market also offers a chance to enjoy the riverside scenery. You can take a lantern-lit boat ride, admire the reflections of colorful lights on the water, or simply sit back and enjoy the bustling evening atmosphere. For anyone staying in Đà Nẵng, a trip to Hội An Night Market is definitely worth it. It’s an easy day trip that transforms into an unforgettable evening with beautiful lanterns, unique shopping, and an energetic yet cozy vibe that captures the essence of Hội An.

The boat ride was fun, best done at night. Cost us 170,000 for a boat for 2 people. Tried charging us 50,000 per lantern, once we said no, offered us 2 lanterns for 20,000 🫠 -Boat ride itself was around 20 minutes , scenery is great with all the street lanterns and other boats. The night market itself was like any other standard night market, nothing very special about it. However, some vendors promoted that they would not hassle customers to buy which was a nice touch 🙂

Hoi An Night Market is a must-visit! The vibrant atmosphere, colorful lanterns, and variety of local street food make it a perfect evening spot. Great place to shop for souvenirs, handmade crafts, and try Vietnamese snacks. It’s lively but not overwhelming — a memorable cultural experience in the heart of Hoi An.

Hoi An's night view was absolutely stunning! The boat ride was an amazing experience, with its aesthetic beauty leaving a lasting impression. Ticketing was hassle-free, with tickets available within minutes. However, Fabric shop prices were steep, being about three times the original price. There was lantern making classes as well .The only downside was the overwhelming crowd, even on weekdays - I can only imagine how busy it gets on weekends! On the bright side, the numerous eating joints near the lake added to the picturesque scenery, making it a truly memorable experience.

Hoi An Night Market :) A place full of big, beautiful things! I sent my wish into the sky — for peace of mind and good health for me and my family. That’s all I really need :) As long as my heart is calm and my family stays healthy, everything else can be enjoyed, learned, and achieved along the way. I just hope to become a better version of myself than yesterday, and to stay away from the foolishness of chasing unhappiness by comparing myself to others. -BOFF

Exploring the Hoi An Night Market is a wonderful experience. Walking through the vibrant lantern lit street is amazing and magical. It is lively atmosphere, with a mix of modern and traditional. Enjoyed exploring the different colorful stalls, sharpening my bargaining skills, trying out delicious street foods. It's about feeling the warmth and charm of the locals.

Beautiful at night with the lights and hustle and bustle of the crowds. It started raining heavily so I bought a cheap umbrella (left mine at the hotel,) but still a great experience. Lots of shops and restaurants, a fun place to walk around.

The old town is even more beautiful to enjoy with all the hanging lanterns all around the buildings. So many things to see, lots of shops and cafes, great ambiance, good food inside the market too! I love it! 😍

In the heart of Hoi An stands The Old House of Phung Hung, a well-preserved 18th-century merchant's residence that offers a glimpse into traditional Vietnamese architecture and the lifestyle of affluent merchant families. This historic home, once belonging to a family selling spices, silk, and chinaware, boasts original furnishings and ornate decorations.
A Special Experience at Phung Hung Ancient House I had the opportunity to visit Phung Hung Ancient House on the exact day they held their Lunar New Year offering ceremony. This is one of the most beautiful and historically significant ancient houses in Hoi An, preserving many traditional architectural and cultural elements. What made my visit special was witnessing the family's New Year ritual. The air was filled with the delicate scent of agarwood incense, its sacred smoke rising in accordance with Vietnamese customs. The atmosphere felt warm, serene, and deeply spiritual. Additionally, I learned about the house's history, its unique blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese architecture, and the fascinating stories of the Phung Hung family. It was a memorable experience that gave me a deeper appreciation of Hoi An’s cultural heritage. If you ever have the chance, I highly recommend visiting and immersing yourself in this special ambiance!

When you're in Hoi An, you shouldn't miss this old house right next to the Japanese Bridge and the Hoi An Book Shop. It was probably built in the early 1800s, and its most unique feature is the two-story covered atrium, which might have been influenced by Japanese design. You can buy a ticket to go inside and check out the whole place.
Do C — Google review
Stopped off here as it was recommended by tours and Google. However, it's just an old house that has been converted into shops, and they are just trying to sell you things -which is all too common in the town. The house itself was nice to look around, but it can be done in around 2 minutes, if you look up information online - be around 5 minutes. I'd give this a miss and go to see the assembly halls, much more history and nicely decorated too 🙂
Aidan M — Google review
Pretty old house! We came there during a rain and we could enjoy the view from the balcony during night time!
Stefano S — Google review
No description on the history of the house. The setup is very haphazard and instead of focusing on highlighting the antiques in the house, there are strangely placed goods for sale. Unfortunate situation for a historic property.
Jennifer F — Google review
My first negative experience as a tourist in Vietnam; not massively negative but leaving an unpleasant feeling. We were not made to feel welcome - indeed one member of staff was talking to the woman showing us table cloths, looking at my wife and I not in a friendly way, while laughing. Enough to activate my paranoid fantasies, which is not a good feeling to associate with a place.
Tim — Google review
Phung Hung ancient house was included in the last part of Monkey Mountain – Marble Mountains – Coconut Jungle – Hoi An City Full-day tour, wherein our tour guide walked us through the old town , JApanese and chinese influenced towns. Wonderfully maintained, and gives a sneak peak at the history and past.
Manish _ — Google review
It is an old building with furniture and plaques that are over 100 years old. But it's in bad maintenance . And the staff sold all kinds of souvenirs, which made people feel a little disappointed. These ancient buildings and furniture can be better protected.

Restaurant
Morning Glory Signature is a highly regarded and sophisticated restaurant in Hoi An, offering a contemporary twist on traditional Vietnamese dishes. The upscale venue, overseen by renowned local restaurateur Ms Vy, presents beloved family recipes with a modern flair. Diners can savor sautéed squid with steamed black rice and lemongrass stalks wrapped with minced meat while enjoying picturesque views of the Japanese Bridge from the balcony.
This restaurant is by the Hoi An river. Place can get crowded to best to make reservation. Food and drinks were good. Service is attentive and prompt even with a large crowd. Prices on the higher side, however it is worth the comfort and live band. Highly recommended place to try.
David K — Google review
The food is generally packed with bold flavors, though many dishes leaned heavily on the salty side. If you enjoy strong, savoury tastes, you'll likely appreciate their offerings more. Highlights include the fried turmeric noodles and baby calamari — both well-executed and flavorful. However, the grilled scallops were a miss for us; they were overwhelmingly salty, masking the natural taste of the scallop. Desserts offered a pleasant surprise with a wide selection that wasn't overly sweet — a nice balance to the savory dishes. Their signature cocktails are also worth trying: reasonably priced, well-mixed, and notably not watered down. You can really taste the alcohol distinctly. Lastly, great river view if you sit at higher floors. Definitely a good bonus!
Tan L — Google review
I have mixed feelings about Morning Glory Signature. I chose this place because it came highly recommended when I asked around for good food in Hoi An. We ordered the rose dumplings, banh xeo, and spiced beef bun. Flavor-wise, everything tasted good; the banh xeo was the crispiest we had in Hoi An, definitely a standout. But the portions were tiny. If you’re really hungry (like we were), this is not the place to eat. The banh xeo came with just four rolls; the dumplings were delicious but barely filling; and the beef buns were just okay. The ambience was a little too fancy for us. We were hoping for a casual dining spot and found the atmosphere a bit intimidating. Unfortunately, service was disappointing. When we asked if the “spices beef bun” was spicy, the staff responded with “it’s called spicy beef on the menu,” even though it actually said “spices.” We tried to clarify, but the tone felt a bit dismissive. Probably just a language misunderstanding, but it didn’t feel great. Lastly, for the small portion sizes, the price didn’t feel worth it. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not somewhere I’d go back to unless I wanted something light and didn’t mind paying more for the setting.
Ayesha C — Google review
You honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here! We went for the beef buns, the BBQ chicken lime salad, the famous Hoi An chicken rice, and of course their signature: the morning glory. Every single dish was a hit, but the real showstopper was definitely the Hoi An chicken rice, it stood out for its flavor and uniqueness. Absolutely divine! And whatever you do, don’t skip dessert; the sticky rice with mango is an absolute must, so make sure to save a little room 😋

A really good selection of options. Everything was delicious. The staff were excellent. We ate there twice on the same day 😊 The restaurant is located in a large building that is shared with other restaurants. I believe they are all connected and serve a different take on Vietnamese cuisine.

Came in to have a lighter meal after a heavy lunch. The spring rolls combo is decent. Very moist on the inside which differs than my expectations. Would recommend some soup to clean your pallet after many meals of heavy viet food. Obviously, the price is higher than average.

Our experience at morning glory signature was delightful from start to finish. The dishes we ordered were bursting with flavor, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. Our server, Ngoc was incredibly attentive and friendly, making excellent recommendations. The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for our meal. All our questions about the restaurant and partnering establishments were answered with pride and enthusiasm by Ngoc. Thank you.

Dined here as a walk-in and was able to get a table out back. I ordered the seafood spring rolls as an entree and the sea bass as my main. Both were really delicious and the portion sizes were much bigger than I was expecting - I struggled to eat it all. Was pleased with my overall dining experience here.

It's the perfect compliment to the meal. A wonderful dining experience all around.

Went to this place after watching YT influencers whi said he loved the food gere and would fly to this country just to eat here. The food was good, I would say .... mild tastes. Small portion for each dish. Sitting at outside table was not too hot when we were there but I wish I was sitting inside with air-con, but very limited seats/tables inside.

Miss Ly’s was a treasure. We had lunch there and the food and service was so great we went again for dinner. The servers were so sweet and friendly and the owner chatted with us on both occasions. The grilled fish in banana was exceptional and the fried wonton appetizer was delicious. We even got a lesson on how to make carrot flowers. Highly recommend.

“This Place Deserves More TikTok Recognition!” This spot needs way more shoutouts than some of the places currently trending. One word: YUM. Tucked in Old Town, this cute restaurant is a must-visit! It’s cosy, clean, and the team is so friendly once you step inside—no one hounding you at the door, which makes it even more inviting. We started with the fresh shrimp spring rolls and honestly, I could eat these all day. Perfect for a humid afternoon, especially paired with a cocktail (highly recommend the Miss Ly). For mains we ordered the Cao Lau—our first time trying it—and now it’s officially on the list of must-have Vietnamese dishes. The noodles and fresh elements together were just incredible. We also had the shrimp stir-fried noodles—a thinner, drier style than the Cao Lau but equally delicious. Our foodie toddler basically claimed that dish for herself! Adding a touch of the chili condiment took it up a notch for me. Delicious food, cosy vibes, great service… this place truly deserves more love. Definitely one to put on your Hoi A food map! PS: This is a small, quaint spot and we coincidentally arrived just before 12 pm—thankfully we had already ordered by the time it got really busy!

The restaurant is known for its highly recommended duck breast and papaya salad, as well as its spicy and fruity tiger prawns. Situated across the riverbank from the Japanese Bridge, it provides a stunning view of the Thu Bon River and the bustling night market.
Excellent restaurant in the heart of old town Hoi An. Cocktails are excellent and great value during happy hour. Food is Asian fusion and very tasty. Service can be a little hit and miss but I’ll definitely be back. Location is exceptional for views of the river and people watching.

Fantastic! Elevated cuisine lovingly prepared and served by the kitchen and staff who all clearly enjoy working there. Yes, it’s a bit pricier than your average, but well worth the trip and an absolute must-visit for any foodie or traveler. With views to both the night market, lantern displays, as well as the river and walking street—Mango Mango showcases Hoi An’s rich food culture with a touch of worldly elegance and a taste of luxury. “I Love Seafood” dish was a highlight!

Had dinner here last night, and it was all delicious! We shared starters and mains all were great! Slightly more expensive than other places in Hoi An, but very good quality, and great service! You can also sit outside with a view of the lantern boats which is stunning!

Mango Mango is a great spot right in the heart of Hoi An Old Town, and it ticks all the right boxes. Best spot would be the balcony or upstairs which offers great view overseeing the sunset in the old town. The food was excellent – the pork chop was particularly memorable, thick yet incredibly juicy. They also offer a wide variety of cocktails, including some unique Mango Mango house specials, which are definitely worth trying. One of the best parts is the overall vibe – you get to enjoy good food and drinks, take in the view, and even listen to live music from the venue next door. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. Yes, prices are slightly on the higher side, but for the quality, service, and atmosphere, it’s well worth it.

🍹 Mango Mango – Great vibes by the river This was my first dinner in Hoi An after arriving — Mango Mango is right by the night market, full of energy and people enjoying their evening. The view is lively, with lantern boats on the river and lots of families walking by. I had a cocktail and dinner here — both were really good. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for a first night in town. Highly recommended!

Mango Mango exceeded expectations in terms of service, elevated Vietnamese cuisine, ambience and location. We enjoyed the duck tortilla appetizer and the red snapper with micro greens and rice. Don’t forget to add the squeeze of lime provided onto your snapper! We were served fresh chilli because I love my food spicy. Overall an excellent experience!
Sona V — Google review
Well decored but lack of sufficient lighting to have nice photos. Menu in English 100% & no Vietnamese. Waitress also confirm restaurant is designed for foreigners. Food is acceptable but too expensive comparing vs other local food shops. The staff attitude are definitely under expectation & not welcome local people. To summarize: not recommend.
Mai C — Google review
I visited Mango Mango on recommendation of a friend… and it certainly didn’t disappoint! The service was warm and attentive. Seated on the balcony, it was the perfect spot for people watching and to soak up the riverside views of the Japanese Bridge and Thu Bon River. I ordered an Orange Mojito and the Keeping Flower Ly. The dish was packed with fresh and flavorsome ingredients, plentiful and super delicious. Although, slightly higher than local dining costs, the superior quality, friendly service and fabulous location were well worth it and of repeat visits.

Restaurant
The White Rose Restaurant in Hoi An is renowned for its iconic dish, the white rose dumplings. These delectable dumplings are a local specialty and a must-try street food when visiting the city. The restaurant has gained fame for being the sole supplier of these dumplings to numerous eateries in Hoi An, with a closely guarded family recipe passed down through generations. The translucent white dough is filled with a specially seasoned shrimp and/or pork mix, then steamed to perfection.
They offer 2 dishes (white rose and fried dumplings). We got the white rose dumplings which come with mostly shrimp dumplings and 4 vegetable dumplings and dipping sauce. Delightful dumplings! Fresh, flavourful, easy to eat and light. Heaps of locals coming in to get takeaway and lots of food tour groups coming in for tastings. There is indeed a table of staff working on the dumplings in the back of the shop so you can even see how they’re made.

Great place for an evening snack. Not many people around 5pm. The signature dumplings and fried wanton skin with tomato base toppings were excellent, easily one of the best meals we had in Hoi An.

Absolutely loved the White Rose Dumplings here! Light, delicate, and full of flavor — topped with crispy shallots and paired with a delicious dipping sauce. The restaurant has a cozy vibe and you can really taste the tradition in every bite. A must-try when in Hoi An!
Sanisha D — Google review
Really liked the dumplings! Restaurant is a short walk from the Old Town, and the restaurant itself is clean and a nice place to eat at. The dumplings were delicious, but not mind blowing. The serving isn’t huge, so you may not be full afterwards unless you have a smaller appetite (just get a banh mi from a street vendor afterwards). Considering the serving size and the price (70k VND) it is a bit more ”pricier” than many other restaurants, but to a westerner it is still very cheap. I would absolutely recommend trying it at least once if you are in Hoi An!
Melv — Google review
Restaurant has only 2 dishes in standard portion on menu: White rose dumplings and Fried wonton The white rose dumpling tasted similar to fish dumpling, while the others that came with it tasted like soon kueh. Both equally nice and light. The fried wonton was huge with lots of ingredients on top in sweet sour sauce. Small eater like me will feel very full after finishing the two dishes. You can see the ladies making the dumplings at the back of the restaurant.
Lolandra S — Google review
I heard a lot of good things about this place and they only have 2 dishes on the menu so I assumed it was gonna be good. It had to be good? 2 dishes? With that amount of focus on 2 items and great reviews it had to be good. The dumplings were so boring and uninspired I was shocked. The wontons were so bad it mad me sad. I’m not being dramatic. Do yourself a favor and find a street vender who actually cares about what they cook…
Jeremy B — Google review
They only sell 2 things: white rose dumplings and fried wanton, that's how you know it's gonna be good. I only ordered white rose dumplings. It was a big portion, it comes with two types of dumplings which one has just a tiny bit of minced meat on top, the other one has more fillings inside such as wood ear fungus, shitake mushrooms and minced meat (I supposed). It's then drizzled with generous amount of scallion oil and fried scallions, love that!!!! Before you eat you dip it into the fish sauce they make it themselves. It was quite oily to only use chopsticks hahaha! I love this though, I think this is only available in Hoi An - Da Nang. 😇😇 come try!

It’s nice and flavourful. The best thing is the super cold Diet Coke haha. I would look for that fish taste herbs and take it out before you go to town on the noodle. Interestingly, cao Lau (high floor) used to be for high society expensive food, an imitation to the Japanese udon as I’m told but made with rice. Visited a shop that made cao Lao earlier in the day and saw lots of rats.

the cao lau here was absolutely incredible. we’d had some the night before from elsewhere but this one blew us away! the pork was so flavourful, the broth/sauce was soooo tasty, and the herbs perfectly balanced it all. the homemade yoghurt and vietnamese corn milk were also delicious and great for when you’ve put a few too many chillies in your bowl ;) the prices were very reasonable (35k for a small bowl, 50k for a big bowl) and the place is family run, the owner’s daughter was super friendly explaining how they grow all their own produce and showing us her father making the noodles in the back. it was really an incredible experience and we are still talking about it 2 days later! i would 100% recommend this place to anyone staying in Hoi An

Came by around 2pm, spacious and airy, even the owner said it’s best to come at time like after breakfast or after lunch, but it comes with the risk of sold out, lol. The Cao Lầu is good to me, this is my first time so it’s subjective, the yogurt drink worth trying. Price is reasonable, the owner lady can communicate in English fluently.

Despite slightly higher prices than average street vendors, the quality and flavor make it worth a visit.
We enjoyed Madam Khanh. On arrival they were quick to welcome us into the shop. You can select to eat in or takeaway. We sat down Ns ordered the BBQ pork banh mi and two juices. All very fresh. The bread is warm and crunchy out of the oven, the meat and pate is full of flavour. It does have less vegies though than Banh Mi Sum. We enjoyed both Banh mi Sum and this place for different reasons and would return to both.

Best value for money so far. For such a low price with dine-in tables and chairs (proper size, not street-side kid-size) provided it's a value very tough to beat. Banh-mi from cafes are easily double the price here. Service is prompt, efficient, food is served in no time fresh and crunchy. 5 stars for the overall value.
Ken K — Google review
I've had my fair share of banh mi on this trip through Vietnam, and some were very good, but Madam Khanh really does wear the crown. The bread is incredibly fresh and crispy, and the flavors are out of this world. I ordered the #6 with pork, and the spicy sauce is what makes it truly special. It's got a real kick, but if spice isn't your thing, you can definitely ask for it mild. What's cool is that they make your sandwich right in front of you, so it's super fast! I also tried the mango smoothie, which was incredibly refreshing and delicious. If you're a banh mi fan or just looking for a tasty and quick bite, Madam Khanh is an absolute must-try.

The price is very reasonable compared to the ones you get at restaurants. There can be wait if you come during lunch and dinner hours. We were there around 3.50pm so got a table without much wait. The place is not that clean with bread crumbs found on floor because of the customers and the staff got no time to clean it with the place being super busy. Don’t except the place to super hygienic. If you are a foodie you must eat here or you can take away the banh mi too. But we had to eat here along with the amazing avocado shake they serve! Ordered grilled chicken with cheese and the grilled pork one. The Pâté is so tasty that I fell in love with the taste of it. Bread is crispy from outside and soft inside. Also ordered mango smoothie and avocado coconut smoothie. Must try avocado coconut smoothie here. Loved pork banh mi better than the chicken one. Chilli oil was yumm and we poured lot of chilli oil to our banh mi to make it spicier. Service was quick. This place serves the best banh mi. And much better than banh mi queen where they make mostly for foreigners’ taste buds (bland, non-spicy, no chilli oil unless you ask)

The sandwiches they serve here are really good. I was skeptical at first but the ingredients they use are not of cheap quality processed meat but have whole chunks of meat as well as their homemade pate. I've ordered the sandwich with chicken and cheese and grilled pork with pate. Both were great and couldn't really tell which I preferred more (make sure to add their own chilli sauce). Avocado smoothie was perfect. The salt coffee was good too but a little bit too sweet for my taste. Overall pretty good value for the price paid. This place is clean and most times of the day full of customers.

Being a huge Banh Mi fan, I made it my mission to find the best one in Hoi An. The top contenders, of course, were Banh Mi Phuong and Madame Khanh (The Banh Mi Queen). We started with Banh Mi Phuong, it’s the one that Anthony Bourdain famously loved, so expectations were high! Both places have indoor seating, which is great since you can actually sit down and enjoy your sandwich comfortably. I ordered a pork and a chicken banh mi to compare fairly. Unfortunately, the chicken banh mi at Phuong’s was quite a letdown; the meat was dry, the filling wasn’t generous, and the pâté didn’t have much punch. The pork version was better and had more flavor, but the bread could’ve been fresher. Overall, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Next stop: Madame Khanh, and wow, what a difference! I ordered the exact same sandwiches, and this time I was blown away. Both were packed with ingredients, full of flavor, and the pâté… OMG 😲 unreal! The BBQ pork was my absolute favorite, but honestly, I’d order both again in a heartbeat. So yeah, for me, Banh Mi Phuong sadly lost this round. Maybe it’s not quite what it used to be back in Bourdain’s day. Hats off to The Queen 👑 she completely lives up to her title! 🥖

Located in the Old Town Hoi An. The restaurant is very popular and long queues, but it is worth it! The queues is endless, but the staff does an excellent job managing the orders. The baguette is fresh with the right balance of crunch and chewy. The sauce is delicious and well seasoned, family secret and the filling of meats and pork are amazing. The price is reasonable. The best Banh Mi.

Best Banh mi I’ve had in Hoi An. It definitely lives up to all the hype and the price is amazing. The best part or what made them so amazing is the quality of the pate. You can tell it’s heavily seasoned and has been cooked twice which I haven’t seen in many Banh mi restaurants. It’s definitely what makes it taste so good. The bread is very light and crunchy it holds the sandwich together well. The ingredients are all very fresh and the turn over of ingredients is so quick. There are 5 chefs working to assemble the sandwiches at all times. There is an inside seated area if you want to get off the street or out of the heat/rain. The hardest part is dealing with the Instagram/tourists who aren’t sure how or where to order or wait for their food. I came back here 3 times and tried two everytime. One isnt enough try two at a time it’s a good amount to be full but not bloat yourself as one just makes you want another one.

Both the kids and I were on the mission to taste the best banh mis Da Nang has to offer. The best recommendations always come from the locals, this shop was a recommended by our driver/guide. It did not disappoint! The baguette was warm and had a crusty shell but soft interior. I think the portioning of the ingredients and spices were on point. They asked upon ordering if we wanted them spicy which was a plus. We liked it so much we went back the next day and ordered 5 more.

Ordered no.7 (omelette) but was a fried egg not an “omelette” (what I’d expect to be whipped egg yolk & white mixed up) and could’ve done w way more veg filling. Bread was fresh and crispy though so points for that. Ordered avo choc smoothie but got avo coconut instead (possible miscommunication but still yum! Very creamy and fresh). Overall not the best not the worst banh mi.
Tahlia M — Google review
Good Banh mi in the city center. They have many options but to my taste the pate is one of the best I’ve had. The place is small and often packed with tourists, so I recommend getting your food to go and enjoying it in the square across the street.

The Temple Restaurant & Lounge

Restaurant
The Temple Restaurant & Lounge takes its name from a nearby community house that has been a place of worship for the local neighborhood. This fine dining establishment offers a fusion of international cuisine with influences from Western Europe, featuring an array of European dishes such as succulent seafood and classic French delicacies like duck and prawn cocktails. The restaurant exudes an upscale, contemporary vibe with Asian and colonial flavors, creating a sophisticated atmosphere for guests to enjoy their culinary experience.
Organized a trip to Danang and Hoi a for my gf birthday. I decided to celebrate my gf bday in Hoi An and was looking for a nice and cozy place to have dinner. I contacted Temple restaurant to consider the option to take my gf on dinner there for her bday. They surprised me actually with the option to prepare a nice table with bouquet and decoration and a birthday cake. The overall experience there was perfect, from the food to the high quality of service provided by the staff and the manager. Ms. Loc took care of us during the dinner and Ms. Bang even offered us a special shot after the dinner to celebrate my gf bday. We truly appreciated the gesture and the kindness from all the staff. I would recommend for sure and will come back again soon I hope 🙂

Food : AMAZING 😋 Service : spectacular Food, service and price are all 10/10. Food is so good and fairly priced (2 scoops ice cream was 3 usd), every dish was so mouthwatering and so pretty (especially the scallops and the mushroom gnocchi) We had to resist ordering everything from the menu, service was so good because our waiter was so nice and he kept requesting to help us take pictures!! These prices are absolutely insane for such good food! The environment was so clean and the pool view was so nice too! Me and my boyfriend enjoyed this so much and we will be coming back! please come here yall and get this restaurant to five stars!!!

It was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was quiet and perfect for having conversations, and the cocktails were very delicious. The staff HANH in particular, was exceptionally kind. I accidentally spilled my cocktail, but she immediately reassured me and brought me a new one, which was really touching. She also offered to take our photos and made sure we had everything we needed. She even sprayed mosquito repellent for us. Truly thoughtful service!

We had an absolutely unforgettable evening at Temple Restaurant at La Siesta Hoi An. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and the entire dining experience was flawless from start to finish. We were treated to a beautifully curated menu that began with delicious amuse-bouches and freshly baked bread. For our mains, we had lamb and lobster, both cooked right in front of us by the chef in a live cooking presentation. Watching the chef work with such precision and energy added a whole new level of excitement to the meal. The flavors were exceptional, every dish was perfectly balanced and beautifully plated. We also enjoyed a fantastic cocktail and finished with two incredible desserts: a tiramisu and a cheesecake that were both divine. Without a doubt, this was one of the best meals we’ve had in Vietnam. We’re already looking forward to coming back on our next visit to Hoi An!

The Temple Restaurant — A Memorable Experience of Ambience, Service, and Taste I stayed at La Siesta from 11–13 June 2025 and had the pleasure of enjoying two breakfasts and one dinner at The Temple Restaurant. The ambience was nothing short of exceptional. Even with the rainy weather, the experience was not dampened — in fact, the rain added to the charm. The view of the lush greenery surrounding the pool created a serene, almost magical atmosphere. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service. Two team members in particular — Hanh and Bang — stood out for delivering what I would call service from the heart. They struck a rare balance: being attentive without intruding, and anticipating needs while giving me space for quiet reflection. Their warm, thoughtful service matched what I’ve experienced in high-end luxury restaurants. For dinner, I took Bang’s recommendation and tried the grilled lobster, a special prepared by the table. Chef Khoa executed the dish with excellence — the flavour, presentation, and experience were outstanding. It was easily one of the best dinners of my trip, and perhaps one of my most memorable dining experiences to date. To the entire team at The Temple Restaurant: thank you for the unforgettable hospitality. Please continue this standard of service excellence — I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

We enjoyed several meals at Temple Restaurant during our stay. Lunch was especially memorable with delicious options and excellent service from Hau and Yem, who took such great care of us. Breakfast and Happy Hour also offered variety and convenience, making the restaurant a comfortable spot to return to throughout the day. Overall, the warm hospitality and thoughtful service made dining here a pleasure.

We chose the perfect place for our wedding anniversary. Thanks to Ms. Phuong and Mr. Vu, our amazing host for our occasion. They even decorated the table and gave us a nice chocolate cake to celebrate this special day. Thanks also to Chef Tan for the amazing lobster that was cooked and served by our table.

CƠM GÀ HỘI AN TT HOA VIÊN is a popular spot in Hoi An known for its delicious take on the classic Vietnamese dish, com ga. The friendly staff are enthusiastic about guiding diners through the experience of seasoning their chicken rice with sauces and chili to their liking. The menu includes variations like special chicken rice and chicken vermicelli soup, both of which are highly recommended.
We ordered two chicken rice dishes, very simple and tasty and for good price, came with soup which was a nice touch. The service was also very welcoming and kind, one of the ladies working there helped us with how to best dress the dish which was really sweet. Overall, lovely experience, thank you!

Delicious chicken and rice. We had both the shredded and fried chicken plates which were filling, extremely tasty and very reasonably priced. Also had the ginger tea. Loaded with ginger, dates and goji berries, the perfect drink to cap your meal. Highly recommend!

Very crispy and fresh chicken, absolutely not a frezzed chicken like most of other restaurants serve! Very delicious

The best chicken rice in town🍗 🍚 very cheap and super quality food and great service from from Hong . Highly recommended. I always pop in here after the gym for a healthy meal.

Chanced upon this place. We were looking to try some Hoi An chicken rice and this place ticked our boxes. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic about showing us how to eat their chicken rice. It felt like a salad where you seasoned it with sauce and chilli to your liking, then mix everything up. We are not entirely sure what’s the difference between regular chicken rice and special chicken rice. The chicken vermicelli soup was also delicious, add the fresh veggies to your liking and mix everything up. Fruit juice was available from the coffee store next door. Prices were super affordable and people very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for the local experience. A short 5-10min walk from the Old Town - but without the hordes of tourists invading your personal space.

Restaurant
Morning Glory Original is a renowned restaurant in Hoi An, owned by the famous Ms. Vy. It has been a beloved establishment for 20 years, offering traditional home-cooked cuisine while catering to tourists and expatriates. The menu features a variety of local dishes such as fried wonton, white rose, stuffed squid with pork and vegetables, mackerel in banana leaf, and filled tomatoes.
Morning Glory was one of the best dining experiences we had in Hoi An. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was lively yet welcoming, and the staff were so kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was outstanding and came out in under 10 minutes, which was impressive given how busy the restaurant was. Every dish we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavor. The Vietnam coconut curry was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The mango salad was light, crisp, and bursting with freshness, offering the perfect balance alongside the curry. Those two dishes were absolute highlights, but everything else we ordered was also delicious. What made the experience even better was the value for money. Portions were generous, prices were affordable, and the quality of food and service far exceeded expectations. Morning Glory truly captures the essence of Vietnamese cuisine while offering great service in a warm and welcoming setting. We left completely satisfied and would happily return again and again.

We read about this place and decided to go there for dinner. And we were not disappointed! The place was quite packed but the friendly waitress directed us upstairs and we seated at a wonderful corner. Beautiful setting, cody and well placed. The waiters were very helpful, patient and polite, actually very professional. Very difficult to make a choice as all dishes looked tempting and delicious. The portions are quite modest so so chance of over eating… Even the desserts are wonderful. All considering, good food, wonderful setting and reasonable pricing. We recommend this restaurant and we will be back to try other dishes.

Pricier than other places but worth it to try a range of local specialities done well and in a lovely environment. We especially loved the sauce for the betel leaf beef - we ordered a second bowl of sauce! Our cocktails were enjoyable as well and the service was great. The mango Sticky rice is also delicious - with mango pieces inside the rice as well!

Often sceptical when restaurants are constantly suggested but this one lives up to the hype. Amazing traditional Hoi a food presented impeccably. Service was warm and personable which is rare for popular places. Building is beautiful historic setting and love how you can see cooking in the middle of the restaurant. Loved every dish I had on two visits here particular shout out to the cao lau and white rose dumplings. Didn't get asked to review which shows the food speaks for itself.

I’m not even sure this is considered a Vietnamese cuisine as all dishes has stronger flavors than anywhere else in our long trip. Everything we ordered was superb, and funny enough the stir fried morning glory dish was the less favorable one. Do note that the place is quite crowded so it’s best to wait a bit longer and get one of the outdoor tables on the balcony or the front.

Morning Glory Original is one of those restaurants in Hội An that everyone seems to recommend, and I can see why. The dishes I ordered were all good and met expectations especially considering the price point. The place has a nice vibe, though it definitely caters more to foreigners than locals. Still, it’s a solid spot for a comfortable meal in the Old Town 🌸🍴

We originally had our sights set on a different restaurant, but it was packed and honestly, we’re so glad it was, because it led us here! The food was tasty and everything came out super fast. The menu was extensive with loads of great options. We loved the crispy roast pork with rice, the stuffed squid and the morning glory. Everything was full of flavour. We also tried a couple of desserts and they were sooo good. The vibe was a little dingy. The table could’ve used a quick wipe down. All in all, highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious food tho!

Delicious food! I thought it was gonna be a gimmick or tourist trap but the food was genuinely good. Pictured here are morning glory salad, roasted pork with tamarind sauce, steamed fish in banana leaf. I also had coffee at Poison Cafe and it was really good. I would recommend everyone to try any of the restaurants under this group.

Airport
Da Nang International Airport (DAD) serves as the gateway for participants and tourists visiting Da Nang to take part in events like the Da Nang International Marathon. The marathon, held annually since 2013, offers various race categories that take runners across the city's picturesque landscapes, including its stunning beaches and mountainous foothills.
09/04/25. Touchdown in Đà Nẵng. It is our first time here. Was pleasantly surprised that their airport is modern, bright, big with lots of space. Luggage was quick to arrive at the carousel. Immigration personnel were quick and friendly. Foreign exchange, telco and transport counters were easy to find. Wish toilets had bidet though.

Da Nang International Airport is a convenient and family-friendly airport. It has a designated nursing room for mothers, which is clean and private — a great help for traveling families. There’s also a small play area for children, making it easier to keep little ones entertained while waiting for a flight. The airport offers a variety of restaurants and food options, so you won’t go hungry. Overall, it’s a comfortable and efficient airport for both domestic and international travelers.
Nisa T — Google review
Da Nang Airport is small but very clean and easy to navigate. I arrived around 3 pm for my 6 pm flight, and going through security was quick and smooth with no long lines. There are a few restaurants and shops inside, which is nice if you need to pass some time before your flight. Overall, a pleasant and efficient airport experience.
Lydia C — Google review
One of the best airports! Why? Because it’s clean, has a surau, a smoking room, and even a sleeping room. The waiting area is also nice, with plenty of sofas to rest on. No worries if you need to charge your devices—there are many charging ports available. Amazing!
Anugrah H — Google review
My flight was at 2:55 AM, so I decided to arrive at the airport early and check in early. I arrived around 5 PM. I remembered that the airport was small when I arrived in Da Nang, but it was close to my hotel, so I could walk. I got off bus number 11, passed the military base, and entered the airport. It was incredibly quiet. There was no one else. The seats were comfortable, so I lay down. After resting for a while, it was past 8 PM and I tried to self-check in. But a message popped up saying it wasn't possible. It was the domestic self-check-in machine. This was the domestic lobby. I headed to the international lobby. The domestic lobby was empty, so I was able to relax. When I got to the international lobby, it was incredibly crowded. Even on a weekday, there were a ton of international travelers. There was no place to rest. Two-thirds of the real-time flight information boards were for Korea. It was incredibly crowded. There were no convenience stores, and the outdoor restaurants near the domestic lobby were the cheapest. There weren't many restaurants in the airport, just a few Highland Coffee shops. Water costs 20,000 VND for 500ml. It's best to eat a full meal in Da Nang before arriving at the airport. Check-in opens three hours before departure, so plan your schedule well in advance. I remember being 10 minutes late from Busan and spending the whole day at the airport before leaving. VietJet is completely unresponsive when their network is down. You can repay your ticket right away and return the next day to get on board. The benches at Da Nang's international terminal are nice. It's a bit hot, but it's comfortable to lie down on. You can also charge your phone. Da Nang Airport is less crowded than Ho Chi Minh City, and it's convenient to use. Ho Chi Minh City and Noi Bai are hell. lol
Christopher A — Google review
Compared to Hanoi airport we had a better experience here. Though small in size , they operated efficiently and the entire process was smooth. If your international flight is via Da Nang, you can do last moment shopping at reasonable price here (Hanoi airport stores have double price). Food is reasonable and waiting area is spacious.
Hemanth S — Google review
UPON ARRIVAL Took us abt 30minutes to get out of immigration upon arrival. Baggage takes about 20minutes. Airport seems new and toilets are clean! You can easily take a grab out into the city using your app….do not ask for help as there’s some grab scammers that’ll approach you. UPON DEPARTURE If you’re departing, I advise to go earlier. During non-peak season, we took a full hour to get our boarding pass + clear Immigration + security check. I HIGHLY advised to eat before comjng to the airport. Everything is in USD here and a bowl of pho is 15usd. A chicken baguette is 8usd and an iced Vietnamese coffee is 7USD. Even the souvenirs here are super expensive. It’s quite ridiculous! U will also board a bus to go to your plane (at least for us; both ways). So best to keep it light with you. WiFi works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t.
Sharina B — Google review
Small but clean and nice airport. It is near the city center, just 10 minutes to the center and from this city you can visit many places of Danang like Bana Hill, Hoi An ancient city and Danang beaches.
