I had an amazing time at Kampong Soam, enjoying the sunset and the sea. I absolutely adore that feeling! Watching the sunset was incredible, and riding the motorboat was a blast. It was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had.

I’ve rate that this island is rated five stars—but of course, there are parts that might not meet your expectations. Some areas still need development, maintenance, and more attention. So don’t expect everything to be 100% clean and beautiful everywhere you go. Your experience also depends a lot on your budget. If you’re staying at a cheap hostel, the experience might not be the best. But if you’re able to spend $50, $80, or even $200 per night, you’ll likely enjoy some truly stunning views and amazing places. So don’t take things at face value. There are definitely beautiful parts of the island. I just hope people also share those good sides. Yes, there is some trash—you’re free to talk about that—but please don’t say “don’t come to Cambodia” just because of it. There’s trash in many parts of the world.

Disclaimer - visited just after Chinese new year 🧧- so obviously would have been a bit different last week… we experienced a pristine beach with perfect swimming conditions as well as ideal for kids playing in the sand which was itself almost free from trash and offered fine white sand. Highly recommended!

Beautiful beach, the water is so clean that I can see fish swimming under the pier. In the evening you can enjoy the romantic moment by sitting on the lazy chair, drink beer and watch the candles they decorate on the beach. It takes around 45 minutes from the pier to Kohrong Sanloem island. You should go in the dry season because the sea is calmer. I miss this island, I will bring my friends come back soon.

Spent an evening there and the view is still amazing despite the heavy flow of Chinese people in the town.

So many sights and smells! We had a great time exploring the market and as tourists we were told that we are honoured guests. We saw some security guards and one took a quick photo of me/us as I came off the tour bus. Maybe he had to prove he went to work today 😅 I was surprised when I was greeted in English by a woman sewing at her fabric booth. She asked where I was from and when I said Canada she asked if I spoke French or English because she speaks a little of both.

Amazing experience. We had to eat quickly and leave to catch our bus. When we told this to the staff our situation, they recommended menus that could be cooked quickly. They not only were served quickly, but they were also very delicious. The overall ambience and service was amazing, and we were sorry that we had to leave so early! Amazing cafe, great to work from (Wifi speed is high for Cambodia) and most important is truly a great cause. This is a non-profit that helps people with disabilities and is making a huge difference. Not only this but the bread was AMAZING!!

Great cheeseburger with affordable price in the heart of Sihanoukville! The chicken nuggets suprisingly good. A little bit hard to found a parking spot. But it's acceptable since it's located in the center of the Sihanoukville. They offer various of soft drinks for the beverages options. The toilets are clean too!

A tip for you when coming to this restaurant: try to get the Khmer version of the menu from the owner, as it offers bigger platters compared to the English version. Don't worry if you can't read Khmer, the owner and the staff are always ready to help you.

one of my fav places in shv. a beautiful spot at the busy pier. very nice interior, best people, always greeting you with a cute smile. the food is heavenly. super clean and very tasty. the falafel salad was the best i had. i am not vegan but i came here 3 times! very big portions, filling and so delish!

Nice restaurant bar by the beach with live band. Some mis and hit on the food. Very fresh local seafood. Especially love the grilled Prawns and the fried chicken wings. I would come specially just for the wings. Other western dishes like the pasta and pizza was so so. Come here for the fresh seafood and local food.

The italian owner is very nice as well as his staff. They have great ravioli. All pasta dishes come with bread to dip. The prices are good. The cotto prosciutto and ricotta ravioli is 5 or 5.50 usd. Portions are a little small for me but overall an excellent little restaurant. on a small side street next to the pizza company so its usually quiet.

All the menus here are delicious; truly the distinctive taste of Indonesian cuisine.
