Great experience. We had Charles look after us during our wine tasting. Charles is extremely engaging and knowledgeable. Listening to him talk about the wines and the industry was as good an experience as tasting the exceptional Syrah Red's. Exceptional wine tasting experience.

We had a tasting here and tried many samples of awesome wines . All of the Surahs were amazing . Colin is awesome and the best guy you can get to show you the tastings . Give this man a huge raise ! He made our experience a phenomenal one .
Alina F — Google review
Excellent tasting experience. I have done tastings i Australia, France and Canada. This is by far the best wine testing I have ever experienced. Collin was amazing. He really knew the wines and was able to make suggestions for our tasting based on our comments. Superb.
Dawn C — Google review
Thank you Charles for an amazing start to a great trip. We loved your wines, appreciated your hospitality and all your great recommendations for us for our trip! We have already enjoyed some of the wines we bought. Never did I expect to enjoy such bold and beautiful reds here in Niagra!
Mary W — Google review
Exceptional service from Kacaba Wines! After a small bottle issue, their sales manager personally delivered a replacement to me — along with a kind gesture: a tasting card for two and some lovely winery info. I’m so impressed by their care and professionalism. This level of personal touch is rare and truly appreciated. Thank you, Kacaba — I’ll definitely be back for more! Wishing you continuous success.
Angel I — Google review
Decided to tour the vineyards of niagara and happened upon this one. I must say by far the whole customer experience we encountered along the way made your winery the best to visit all due to Charles. He made our group of 10 feel at home. He was so welcoming and answered all our questions without judgment. We will definitely be telling all our friends back in Victoria Bc to come here. Thank you. 😊
Cinder L — Google review
Our previous visit to Kacaba was during a period of covid restrictions, so it was super to be back when the full great experience was available. They have a spacious bright tasting room/event space on two levels in the main hall, and a private room is also available. Lots of outdoor spaces for visits on the warmer months. Our visit this time was related to our membership at another nearby winery, Commisso, whose club includes partnerships with a number of nearby wineries for tastings. Kacaba has a lot to offer! Among the three of us, we tasted most of the menu and had a lovely visit with the staff member. My top two were the Reserve Reisling and, of course Joanne's Blend (sparkling!). My partner and our companion were both quite pleased with multi-award winning Syrah Reserve and Meritage Reserve. All in all, it was a great way to have spent a dreary December afternoon.
Jamie O — Google review
I had a fantastic experience at Kacaba. The wines were exceptional, offering a great variety and depth of flavors. The staff were knowledgeable and made the tasting enjoyable and informative. I especially enjoyed the beautiful view during the wine tasting.

Megalomaniac Wines

Winery
Food & Drink
Nestled in the picturesque Niagara Benchlands, Megalomaniac Wines stands out as one of Lincoln's top wineries, offering an unforgettable experience that combines stunning views with delectable food and exceptional service. Guests rave about the beautiful restaurant that boasts a breathtaking panorama of the vineyard, creating a perfect backdrop for any meal. Whether indulging in a delightful dinner or enjoying a leisurely brunch with friends and family, visitors are treated to expertly crafted dishes that tantalize the taste buds.
Very nice modern winery. Built on a hilltop overlooking a very large acreage of vines on every side. Building is beautiful with very high ceilings. There are plenty of tables outdoors and the setting is very beautiful. Service was really outstanding and just the right pace. My wife and i had some drinks and a light dinner. The chardonnay was really good, especially the oaked one. We had the burrata salad and it was really good. The best burrata we ever had. Shrimp tacos were beautiful to watch and delicious. We finished with the strawberry lemon cheesecake. Really outstanding dinner. Highly recommended.
Martin M — Google review
We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Megalomaniac Wines. If you haven’t been - their views, service and vibe are top notch. For the price paid I felt it was great value for what was received. Generous portions, bursting with flavour. A special place! Didn’t take pics of our stunning view but we could see Toronto, the Lake and the skyline of Niagara Falls from the patio.
Erica L — Google review
Amazing patio, the estate house is far from the road so it is very peaceful. Beautiful view of the vineyards as well as the escarpment . The breeze coming from the escarpment is nice. The Tuna cones were very tasty, and the wine/cocktails were very good. Prices are reasonable. Our server was very hospitable and friendly!

We walked through the little shop, with wine themed shirts, hats, and more! We sat down at the "Sun Patio" Nice stone wall and great view of Vineland, Vineyards, And Lake Ontario, From the top of the Niagara Escarpment. Quickly Seated, Quickly Ordered our drinks. The Drinks Came Quickly as well. Prices Were Reasonable on the menu likewise the drinks. Normal menu size for Winery, but the options all seemed Yummy😋. Our Food came with in 10-15 minutes, tasted very top-notch. Only thing is not much choice for young kids. I'm 11 but most stuff is suitable for me. We would come back if we were in the area again! -Sage the Hyde Park Review Team!
Sage T — Google review
Very reasonable price for a winery restaurant, the portion of food was quite generous and taste was good. The menu was an international cuisine. The dinning room and patio had an expansive view of the winery. The service was also friendly and efficient.

Incredible experience with amazing views! The staff were very friendly and contributed to the overall positive experience. The meal was also fabulous and my group enjoyed the evening.

Creekside Estate Winery

Winery
Food & Drink
Wineries & Vineyards
Creekside Estate Winery offers a great variety of wines, such as their Iconoclast Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon Sauvignon, Lauras Red and Broken Press Syrah Reserve. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy or pressuring customers into making purchases. The patio area is spacious and welcoming with the option to order food while enjoying the wine tasting experience.
We had a blast at this place. The lady in charge was absolutely fantastic and you can tell she’s just passionate about what she does. The wines were great and the food was exceptional. Their mushroom soup is hearty and well portioned, and their mozzarella sticks are delicious. This place needs to sell their buffalo sauce :)
Andrew M — Google review
I had an amazing experience here. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. They did a great job explaining the wines I was tasting and the food at the restaurant was amazing. I highly recommend the con queso and also the Brussels sprouts. I really enjoyed my time here wining and dining on the back deck!
Sandra L — Google review
An unforgettable bridal shower at Creekside Estate Winery! We hosted my bridal shower at Creekside Estate Winery yesterday, and it was beyond amazing. From the moment we arrived, the team greeted us with sparkling wine, such a thoughtful and elegant touch- and the hospitality stayed perfect all day. The food and wine pairings were truly next level. We paired their ice wine with the brussels sprouts, and honestly, they were the best brussels sprouts I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly roasted, balanced, and just incredible with the sweetness of the ice wine. We also paired the sparkling shiraz with their olive salad, which blew everyone away, and that’s coming from someone who’s not even a kale girly! (The salad had lots of kale and I devoured it!) We took photos during golden hour in the vineyard, and it was absolutely magical. The setting is so private and peaceful, it felt like we had our own little piece of paradise. Our whole group was laughing, sipping wine, and soaking up the sun surrounded by the vines, a DREAM!!!! Everyone went home with more than one bottle (because how could we not?), and we’re all officially obsessed with their ice wine jelly, seriously, nobody else has this product, and it’s unreal. We’re hooked for life! Creekside made my bridal shower feel like a dream, and I can’t thank them enough for creating such an unforgettable experience. If you’re thinking about visiting or hosting an event here, do it. You’ll be talking about it for years!! Side note: We tried to book with other wineries in the area but believe it or not, we sent emails to event teams and the responses were very vague and impersonal, but with Lakeview + Creekside Estate we heard back THE NEXT DAY. I have to shout out Lorraine, for her incredible customer service touch, we went to meet with her and after that meeting, it was a DONE DEAL. They personalized so much for us and even made a sign welcoming my guests to my bridal shower, just little things that make a HUGE difference in how you feel. We didn't feel like customers, we felt at home. Thank you so much to our incredible servers, Lorraine for organizing and Grace the manager at Creekside Estate, you ladies really made an impressionable mark for all of us and we are eternally grateful. Because of this and your incredible wines, you've gained new wine club members! Can't thank you ladies enough!!! We LOVE Creekside!
Johnstone F — Google review
An excellent winery in the Niagara region. Their restaurant “the Deck” has a menu that changes pretty frequently and has delicious food options. Highly recommend doing a wine tasting here. Staff are quite friendly and provide great customer service.
Dylan M — Google review
I love this winery. Every single wine we had at the tasting was unique and lovely. Service was extremely warm and helpful - taking time to discuss the wines without any snobbery. We didn't try the food, but it all looked great.
Colby B — Google review
Very beautiful tasting room and lovely outdoor seating. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff and provided amazing details about any of the wines we asked about. Amongst all the great wines they have 4 distinct Sauvignon Blancs! Definitely worth a visit.
Jessamine M — Google review
Really personable establishment with a beautiful atmosphere. We sat out on the patio and tried a couple flights of wine that we chose, which is great as a lot of wineries really limit what you can choose. Our fave was the Viognier. We visited 6 wineries on our visit to the Niagara area and this was by far the best.
Al H — Google review
We had THE MOST amazing time celebrating our girls bridal shower at Creekside winery. The staff were so kind, professional & attentive. The wine was delicious, as well as the food. Will definitely be back!

Flat Rock Cellars | Jordan, Ontario Winery & Event Venue

Winery
Food & Drink
Flat Rock Cellars in Jordan, Ontario, is a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts and event planners alike. Guests rave about the exceptional service provided by knowledgeable staff like Emily, who brings passion and expertise to every tasting experience. The winery offers a delightful selection of award-winning wines, including the Foundation Riesling and Rusty Shed Chardonnay, all crafted with sustainable practices in mind.
Came to the Niagara region today specifically for the Flat Rock warehouse sale. Picked up some great wine for some great prices. We've been there before but forgot how beautiful the location is. Sitting in the tasting room with a glass in hand, looking out over the vineyards, Lake Ontario, and on a good day, the Toronto skyline - pretty darn relaxing. Strongly recommend.
Jason S — Google review
I can’t say enough good things about our visit to Flat Rock Winery, and it was all thanks to Emily! She was absolutely amazing—so knowledgeable, passionate, and welcoming. She took the time to walk us through each wine with such expertise, making the whole tasting experience fun and informative. Her energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and it’s clear she truly loves what she does. Emily made our day unforgettable—thank you for the stellar service and for sharing your wine wisdom with us! Can’t wait to come back!

I had an amazing experience here. I did the wine tasting. The wine was fantastic and a good variety was on offer. The best part was the staff. Our sommelier was Leah and not only was she incredibly knowledge about the wine, but also the land and the area of Niagra. Leah was exceptionally friendly and also very passionate about the wine. If you want to do a wine tasting I recommend this place 100%. The place also has an exceptional view with an interior set up that is lovely. You can also watch the staff at work making the wine if you're there at the correct time.
Gareth H — Google review
We had a lovely experience at Flat Rock Cellars with or server Tate. First the view was spectacular and the building was really cooler with floor to ceiling windows showing off the vineyards and even the Toronto Skyline across the lake. The tasting was reasonably priced (4 wines for $20) with a nice variety of options. We tasted sparking, rose, Riesling, and their Chardonnay. We were pleasantly surprised with the rose and it was our favorite! Although I have a personal aversion for Chardonnay I tasted theirs and completely understood the award winning level it has achieved. Tate gave us a tour of their new seating area available to reserve for events (up to 50 people) or overflow tasting space in the busy season. We also saw the wine making area where he explained the gravity style they make the wine in. Overall a great experience. Definitely a must stop on your Ontario wine tour.
Rebekah C — Google review
I brought my staff to this winery for a team outing and we had such a great experience! The setting was absolutely beautiful.. the views were stunning and the entire place had such a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The wine was also delicious! A special shoutout to Jen, our waitress. She was truly amazing! So attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made our visit even more enjoyable with her great and fun energy. Highly recommend this spot!

We were part of the friends with benefits. Flat Rock Cellars was one of the nicest places we have been to. Emily was our server and she was amazing. Very informational and so pleasant. Would definitely recommend her and this Winery. Will definitely be back. Thank-you
Shannon D — Google review
Oh the wines are really tasty, so glad we went for a tasting and Emily was so knowledgeable and fun! Definitely will go back
Will D — Google review
What an incredible day in wine country at Flat Rock Cellars with great friends and family ! The tour and tasting, led by the remarkable Tate, was truly inspiring. We savored three exquisite wines, beginning with a Pinot Noir, followed by a delightful Chardonnay, and ending with a truly divine Riesling that was simply sublime. The winery was breathtaking, and the panoramic view from the observatory, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony, was nothing short of spectacular. A must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts, Flat Rock Cellars is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!🍷🍷🍷

Vieni Estates Inc

Winery
Food & Drink
Vieni Estates Inc is a charming bed and breakfast nestled in a 175-acre winery. The rooms are understated but comfortable, providing guests with a tranquil stay. Visitors can indulge in a complimentary wine tour and tasting that showcases the winery's exceptional selection of wines. Additionally, guests can unwind by taking a dip in the saltwater pool. Vieni Estates Inc is an unassuming treasure that offers excellent wine experiences to its patrons.
Vieni Estates is the best! If I could, I would give them more than 5 Stars. It’s a top notch Winery! From the wine, to the staff, to the overall venue – it’s OUTSTANDLY! The staff in the shop is so knowledgeable and friendly. The quality and taste of the wines are exquisite. The Operations and Event manager Mackenzie provides exceptional service. I’m planning my wedding at Vieni and she’s made us feel comfortable every step of the process and made it so easy to know that Vieni was the perfect place to celebrate our big day. Her and the team make you feel right at home and treat you like family. I can’t wait to celebrate! I highly recommend planning a special event with them or simply take a visit to indulge in the diverse wine selection. You won’t be disappointed!
Daniella P — Google review
We love the Vieni reds across the board. The Bruce Trail wine is especially good for a reasonable price. We also stayed at the guest house with friends. It was very clean and comfortable, with a fully-equipped kitchen, not to mention being a beautiful refurbished old house. Conveniently close to many other wineries and restaurants. Staff are friendly and responsive.
Louise O — Google review
Working with Mackenzie to plan our wedding was a blessing. She put in so much effort to make sure the day was exactly how we wanted it. She quite literally saved the experience for us. The venue flows very well and is so beautiful. We hardly had any decorations because the natural beauty of the vines and the barn were more than enough to give an elegant and warm mood. Vieni also accommodated our need of having two very different cuisines for dinner. They put in extra work to coordinate with the caterer and make sure everything was still elegant and easy for guests. The Airbnb on the property is the cherry on top. It is so well kept and being able to stay on the property the night before makes getting ready in the morning stress free. We had a 'smaller' half Indian wedding (140 people) and the size of the venue was perfect, but we wouldn't suggest more people than that. The path between the vines was perfect for the baraat and the size of the pergola was exactly what we needed for the Indian ceremony. Shout out to our DJ Shane who absolutely killed the whole day!
Marika H — Google review
We had our wedding at Vieni Estate Winery on July 19, 2025, and it was truly exceptional. The venue was beautiful, the food was outstanding, and all the staff and bartenders were professional, friendly, and attentive to our guests. A special thank you to our event coordinator, Mackenzie Cooper, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Mackenzie’s dedication and support made the planning process stress-free and the wedding day seamless. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team—thank you, Vieni, for making our wedding day unforgettable. Libby and David

My now wife and I just had our wedding at Vieni…. All I can say is wow. Amazing staff, amazing venue, amazing food and drinks, everything exceeded every expectation my wife and I had for our special day. Mackenzie and Megan were absolutely phenomenal in keeping our day organized and on track, the entire Vieni team absolutely killed it. The BnB was also an awesome feature of this venue, we loved being able to stay on site with some of our best friends and family. Thank you guys so much for making our special day perfect!!
Matthew M — Google review
We just had our wedding at Vieni in June and can’t recommend it enough! It really is the most stunning wedding venue. After touring multiple venues, the moment we saw Vieni we knew it would be perfect, and it was!! The whole process and experience was so smooth thanks to Mackenzie and her team. Our guests have continued to complement how beautiful the venue is, how delicious the food was and how flawless the day went!! What really topped it off was being able to stay on the property the night before in the b&b which was the most beautiful and fun space for everyone getting ready in the morning and was perfect for pictures. Mackenzie was amazing during the entire planning process. She is so helpful and patient and really cares about making sure your day is perfect. They are so organized and really know how to make sure everything is flawless. Thank you so much for making our day amazing!! 💕
Cassandra H — Google review
I could not recommend Vieni enough. We had the most amazing wedding experience there. Mackenzie and Megan were the ultimate dynamic duo. They were so accomodating to make anything we could want happen and truly I don’t think I could have gotten through the day without Mackenzie, she was there for it all, while still providing a calm, cool demeanor. All our guests have been commenting about how perfect everything was, how the food was amazing, the cocktail hour was delicious, the venue was outstanding and the ceremony spot was beautiful. The bar staff were incredible, we just named our signature cocktails and they executed them perfectly. It was truly the perfect day and it was all thanks to Vieni. Worth every second and the months of planning!!
Tyler M — Google review
The staff are super helpful and friendly and their wines are delicious!! What makes me really appreciate Vieni are their non wine drinks like the happy hour or facionably late that mix wine with spirits and will be coming back for them!

Thirty Bench Wine Makers

Winery
Food & Drink
Wineries & Vineyards
Thirty Bench Wine Makers is a prominent winery situated on the Beamsville Bench, known for producing exceptional Cabernet Franc and Riesling wines using old vines that showcase the unique microclimate's potential to create intricate wines with robust minerality. The winery also offers an outstanding visitor experience.
A winery with a great view of the Great Lake Ontario. Welcomed by the receptionist at the door and quickly seated. Most of the wines are white and the Riesling selection is amazing. Started with the wine maker's(WM) Riesling, it complied with multiple layers of notes. Since it is a combination of Riesling from multiple small yard, the characteristics of the wine is complex. The second Rose wasn't my cup of tea(wine). The tanning flavor to me is a bit overpowering the wine notes itself. Comparing the WM red blend and the cab franc, the can franc is intense and stronger than the normal one I used to taste. Overall speaking, it is a nice winery with great wines and great host. Thank you so much.
Howard T — Google review
We stopped by in the way to Paris. Very impressed with the grounds and friendly staff. Love the farm decor, and rustic decorations. The wine was great, especially likes the sparkling Riesling
Erin P — Google review
Had a delightful snowshoeing, wine tasting, family adventure here today. The weather was perfect, they have it running like a well oiled machine. Lindsay our guide was excellent. Knowledgeable, but fun and always went at the pace of the slowest which is how it should be done. The wine was delicious, soup served after was very good and lots of incentives to join the wine club. Would thoroughly recommend.
Vicky E — Google review
Thirty Bench Wine Makers is an absolute gem nestled in a stunning part of Niagara wine country. The property itself is beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and thoughtfully designed. The outdoor seating is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine while soaking in the views. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. They explain the wines with clarity and enthusiasm, making the tasting experience both educational and enjoyable. You can tell they truly care about the craft. And speaking of the wine — it’s delicious. Every bottle we tried was well-crafted and full of character. Whether you're a seasoned wine lover or just starting to explore, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
Hunter T — Google review
This lovely gem is situated on the Beamsville bench with amazing terror of limestone, clay and sand soils, which really comes through on every single riesling and Cabernet Franc Emma produces. 30 Bench has the best Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon- also hands-down one of my favorites every time I visit! The wines are very well balanced, with long lingering finishes. For a boutique winery- Very well priced! ( the first boutique winery in Beamsville!) this is a MUST for anyone who loves Riesling and Cab Franc!
Foxy — Google review
…we had an absolutely incredible time! For many years we’ve loved casually visiting Thirty Bench and picking up the odd bottle here and there, but this time we came with friends for a structured wine tasting. Our host Lindsay was absolutely incredible… funny, knowledgeable - she totally made our afternoon memorable and struck the perfect balance of “knowing her stuff” without “being too stuffy.” We are SO glad we went… we love that we have such great wineries within a 30 minute drive of where we live (in Burlington) and we are now proud “wine club members”. Thank you to the entire team at Thirty Bench - you make exceptional wines and have an idyllic setting for your patrons.
Martin S — Google review
Unfortunately, both red wines served on my flight were quite disappointing—barely drinkable, even by table wine standards. As someone who appreciates both fine and everyday wines, I found these to be lacking in pleasant taste and undrinkable. Out of all the wineries I’ve visited in Niagara, this one ranks as my least favorite—and to make matters worse, it was also the most expensive. The stuff were nice, wine was not.
Angie S — Google review
Charming country winery. Wide open space, a view of lake Ontario, even the CN Tower👍 Large parking lot. Good wines. The sampling room was bright and beautifully laid out. It was a full house today. $12 for 3 wine samples (they gave us Late Harvest Desert Wine for free and small bread sticks) So far the most expensive wine sampling in the area BUT they do have excellent wines 😍

Awesome ice wines, Angela is a great host. Their package deals on multiple bottles is a great deal. I hope the owners decide to do more with the property/venue, because it is a great atmosphere!
Kevin V — Google review
Unbelievable place! The host lady introduced us to 13 unique late harvest and ice wines during tasting, and it was definitely something else 🤩 Now we have so many wine infused cocktail, sauces and meals recipes, I am impressed! Recommend everyone to come here at least once and try these wines!
Katy D — Google review
Such a great experience! Angela is so sweet and has so much knowledge to share. Learned a lot about other ways to enjoy their delicious wines! Left with 5 bottles! Highly recommend!
Maria M — Google review
Wonderful tasting of some excellent and not-available-elsewhere locally sourced and made dessert wines! A great guide through the tasting and lots of suggestions for not just drinks but foods as well!
Soren S — Google review
This was our first time to this winery and we were mightily impressed. They have an extensive collection of dessert wines and of course ice wines. They also have some ciders made from apples or peaches which are also excellent. It was a real treat listening as Angela told us all the additional things you could do with these wines besides just sipping them - like mixing with gin or vodka, using an ice cream, baking, and basting meats. It was a very educational experience and we're anxious to try our selections in various recipes.
Ed N — Google review
Great experience, lots of tasty wines with nice explanation of what to pare next or use them with :) Something different in the most positive way for sure! We warmly recommend going here and would definitely come back!

We have visited Atlantis multiple times and wanted to write a review to express how much my husband and I adore this winery. We drove from Toronto and fell in love with each of their wines. Each one had its own personality, our favourite was Mother Pucker. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Upper Ball's Falls

Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Upper Ball's Falls is a stunning destination, especially during the fall when vibrant colors surround the area. A short hike connects both Upper and Lower Falls, making it accessible for families and casual walkers alike. However, it's worth noting that since Twenty Mile Creek is rain-fed, water flow can be minimal outside of spring. Many visitors recommend planning your trip during this season to fully appreciate the waterfalls in their flowing glory. The trails are easy to navigate, with distances of just 1.
Made it to the upper falls just before it got it started to get pitch black so was able to see them pretty good but the pictures hardly do it justice. I think I liked the upper falls more then the lower because of the way the water flowed a little more allover the place hahah! Really wish we would have made it earlier though so we could have gotten some better pictures and got to see it from a few different angles. Since it was dark and wet we didn't want to risk checking it out from a bunch of different places but it was pretty tempting...
Tony A — Google review
Do no climb over the wall. If you did want to be on the waterway, best to be coming from the fair side when there is little to no water. It be very slippery when wet in this area. Great start/end to a nice hike. There are benches nearby and a small grass area. Nice easy hike to this area. Careful alone the edge. Hard to see the start of the cliff.
JC L — Google review
Fall colours looked beautiful near the Upper falls area. You can enjoy a short hike to both the Lower and Upper falls. As the Twenty Mile Creek is rain-fed, both Upper and Lower falls had no water flowing. So plan to visit during Spring if you are coming here mainly to see the waterfalls. I would also visit again in spring when there is flowing water in both falls. Admission is $8/adult and maximum $24 per car. Lots of parking is available.
Priyanka S — Google review
Amazing experience with hiking.

Ball's Falls Conservation Area is a beautiful place to visit. Easy trail to visit both the upper fakls and lower falls which is only a few hundred yard apart.
Clarence C — Google review
Nice place. When i visit fall didn't have much water though. The board near ball's fall ( weird name.. who named this... lol) said it will take 30 min to lower falls and 90 min to upper falls. We visit both places ( walking) under 40 mins. Someone gotta fix the timing on welcome board...

Cave Spring - Winery Tasting Room

Winery
Food & Drink
Wineries & Vineyards
The Cave Springs Cellars, located across from the Inn On The Twenty on Main Street in Ontario, is a renowned winery known for its exceptional Riesling and historic wine cellar. This upscale boutique hotel offers guests the opportunity to indulge in country chic guestrooms equipped with fireplaces, soaker tubs, and spacious beds. With room service available, visitors can unwind and enjoy their stay.
My partner and I stumbled across this winery as we were taking a stroll through Jordan. We never expected to have the best wine-tasting experience ever. Patti graciously greeted us as we walked in, explained everything and let us pick our seats. Kristen was our host, she was pleasant, knowledgeable, professional, observant, funny and just an overall positive vibe. Surprisingly, I purchased three bottles, I couldn't leave empty handed. Great service and value. Top notch. The Real McCoy.

Passed by Cave Springs on the back home during a winery trip with the girls. We love the cave springs Pinot Grigio and always order it or pick it up at the LCBO. We got to try different wines that are not at the LCBO. It’s a very nice tasting room, they are also dog friendly. Dog items are on the menu and I was also able to pick up a little treat for my pup. It’s good to know for next time so she can join me and get her own barkcuterie board.

Lovely winery and even better somm who was excellent at describing the wines and how their flavour and varieties makes them unique. I absolutely loved their Riesling! It was the perfect combination of mineral acidity and sweetness - I’ve never had anything like it before. A flight is $20 for four, which is also an excellent price.

Tasting room was perfect. Not busy and got one-on-one attention with a staff member. 4 tastings for $20 and wonderful wine. Tons available for purchase. This is by far my favourite wine in Niagara!

Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery offers a phenomenal brunch menu curated by Chef Matt McDowell, featuring reasonably priced dishes like the Lobster Bene made with claw meat. The scone and blueberry compote are described as incredible, while the stone fruit salad is also highly praised. The restaurant provides a magical setting with majestic grounds that can't be fully captured in photos. Visitors have celebrated special occasions here, enjoying the beautiful views, friendly staff, and delicious food.
Chef Matt McDowell put together a phenomenal brunch menu. The prices were very reasonable and the Lobster Bene was made with claw meat and would rival anything found in Toronto higher end brunch bistros. The scone was absolutely incredible and the blueberry compote accompanying was delicious. I’d go back just for this scone! The stone fruit (free-stone peach) salad was also fabulous! I’ve been to these grounds before for weddings and it really is quite beautiful in late summer. I’m not a fan of Peninsula Ridge wines, but I would highly recommend this restaurant experience. The staff is on point and the historic house serving as the restaurant is very classy with private patio dining nooks all around. Well done Matt and team!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery with my neighbor and my wife, and it was an experience that combined breathtaking views, elegant ambiance, and remarkable wines. Nestled in the heart of Niagara’s wine country, the estate immediately impresses with its striking Victorian-style house and manicured grounds that overlook the vineyards and Lake Ontario. The setting alone makes it worth a visit, offering a perfect blend of history, charm, and natural beauty. The tasting experience was equally memorable. The winery staff were warm, knowledgeable, and passionate, taking the time to explain the characteristics of each wine and the unique qualities of the terroir. Peninsula Ridge is known for its VQA wines, and the selection offered a wonderful range that highlighted the diversity of Niagara’s grapes. The whites, particularly the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, stood out with their crisp acidity and layered flavors, while the reds, such as the Merlot and Cabernet blends, were bold, smooth, and expressive. What makes the experience even more special is the opportunity to pair wine tasting with a meal at the on-site restaurant, located in the beautifully restored historic house. The menu complements the wines perfectly, focusing on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Dining here while enjoying panoramic vineyard views truly elevates the experience into something unforgettable. The winery also does an excellent job of balancing sophistication with accessibility. Whether you are a seasoned wine enthusiast or just beginning to explore, Peninsula Ridge offers a welcoming environment where you can learn, taste, and enjoy at your own pace. The grounds are also a lovely spot for a leisurely stroll after a tasting, adding to the sense of escape from the city. Overall, Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery is a gem in Niagara’s wine region. It offers not only excellent wines but also an atmosphere that celebrates the beauty of the land and the artistry of winemaking. With its stunning views, top-notch hospitality, and refined wine and dining experience, it is a destination I would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area. Whether for a casual tasting, a romantic dinner, or simply to enjoy a glass of wine with a view, Peninsula Ridge delivers an experience that lingers long after the last sip.

Decided to check out this winery as it's one of the few that I haven't been to and the ratings looked good! I had a very positive experience here. A tasting of 3 x 2oz glasses was $13+tax, very reasonably priced. (There was another winery nearby which was $45!!! which I thought was insane.) You get the choose anything from a detailed list that they had on-hand and the lady who was working also provided helpful recommendations. You can also enjoy glasses for $6-9ea on their outdoor patio. Overall, one of the few remaining wineries with reasonably priced tastings.

The venue was the perfect setting for a small wedding. I fell in love with this place many years ago and dreamt I would get married here. Thank you Laura and staff in helping my dream come true❤️

Located in Vineland Station, Ontario, just an hour south of Toronto, the Lake House Restaurant offers a contemporary and upscale dining experience with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine. Situated by Lake Ontario, it is renowned for its beautiful lakeside outdoor seating and has been recognized as one of the best brunch spots in Canada. The restaurant provides delicious food and excellent service, making it a perfect choice for special occasions like anniversaries.
We came here for our special day and it was such a warm welcome, starting from finding us a seat of our preference, we just had to wait a bit until the table cleared, all good! Next, appetizer was exceptionally fresh n crunchy with variety of dips, yummy! Next was main course, I ordered Icelandic cod and my husband ordered Mac and cheese with shrimp base. I ordered a spicy mango margarita as well. Everything was 9/10, just amazing! Will recommend everyone to try this place! :) they were also kind enough to pack our food and give us a treat for our special day in the end as dessert!! Sweet and kind!

Wonderful dining experience overlooking Lake Ontario. Paella for 2 was loaded with a variety of fresh seafood and the portion was as generous as it was flavourful. Also recommend the lamb shank and shrimp Mac and cheese. Mini desserts are the perfect ending to the meal and a great way to try more than one dessert. Service by Isaiah was top notch, he was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of.

Recently we have been to Lake ke House Restaurant which was really great. Location was super good, waterfront with an amazing view. Restaurant was packed so hard to find parking. Reception was good and we waited for 15 minutes to get our patio table. We ordered some cocktails & cocktails which was great., then appetizers and maintained course was fresh super delicious no complaints at all. Deserts also very nice .Super friendly staffs overall great food with amazing view point. Highly recommended restaurant bit expensive but worth it.

Celebrated a milestone birthday last night. The restaurant sprinkled birthday confetti on the table ahead of time, which was a nice touch. All of the food was excellent. The mini desserts are the best since everyone wants dessert, but really is too full to eat dessert. What made this night great was out server Kalvin. He helped us out when our original choice of wine was out, his timing on checking on us was perfect, he was genuine and attentive to all of our needs. Kalvin made this dinner exceptional, thank you! Icing on the cake: we were treated to a beautiful sunset after dinner!

1. Food quality was fabulous - delicious, served hot, and nice portion. Appetizer and dessert were really good too. 2. Service was wonderful. Ashley R was very welcoming and friendly. Reception staff were very friendly as well, and guests were seated in a timely manner. 3. Dining area and washrooms were very clean and well maintained. 4. Restaurant has a large parking lot beside it, but at the peak evening time on a hot Summer Saturday (6:45 p.m.), there were too many cars and some had to circle around for a while before a spot would open up. We ended up finding a spot in about 10 minutes after arrival. It is probably fine on other days of the week. Marked parking stalls might help on busy days as there was a lot of wasted parking space between vehicles in the parking lot on Saturday. 5. Despite being very busy on a Saturday evening, service was very good and appetizer and food were served in a reasonable and timely manner. 6. The restaurant has a beautiful lake view and a beautiful green space in front of it, facing Lake Ontario.

Always passed by this place, this time decided to stop, no reservations. This wasn't an issue, and seated promptly inside with a view of the lake. Impressive. Ordered, mussels and calamari as appetizers. Didn't take too long for those to arrive, mussels were plentiful. Calamari were tender with great dips. For mains the table ordered the Tiger Shrimp pasta and the Cod. The Pasta sauce was fantastic. There were 4 tiger shrimp. I would recommend this if pasta is your thing at restaurants. Now the Brown Butter Crusted Icelandic Cod. The potatoes and asparagus sides were great. The lobster sauce while nice and creamy, didn't taste like lobster. Unfortunately they absolutely murdered the cod, as always, I don't return food. I suffer through it. Chewing each bite took about 30 seconds to get it down, that's how dry it was. I'm sure they would have taken it off the bill if I had asked. Cod was $44, Pasta was $38, Calamari $25, Mussels $22 . I'm on the fence about giving this place another try. Don't let my cod review discourage you from trying this place. It was fantastic in all other aspects, with great views of the lake.

We really enjoyed our lunch at the Lake House. I appreciated a friendly and attentive service from everyone in the restaurant, especially Mel who was serving our table. I loved the food, ambience and beautiful lake view. It was lovely end of our weekend. I had crab cakes, fried calamari and beet salad, everything was delicious and good size portions. Kids menu’s pizza was big enough for two of them and even though the restaurant is nice and feels fancy, I appreciated that they were so family friendly and had everything for families with children. I would definitely be back again! Thank you for the wonderful service!

Inn On The Twenty Restaurant is a refined dining destination known for its Canadian cuisine and local wine selection. Despite indoor dining restrictions, the restaurant adapted by setting up a patio in the Inn On The Twenty courtyard, ensuring guests could still enjoy their meticulously prepared dishes. Visitors praise the impeccable service, elegant decor, and beautiful garden views. Whether it's a romantic anniversary celebration or a solo lunch after a spa day at Spa on the Twenty, this restaurant offers an exceptional experience with delicious food and attentive staff.
A Charming and inviting place for those seeking exceptional food. The Ambiance and staff were warm and welcoming. Soft lighting throughout the restaurant and a table lamp for your own personal touch where you can choose whether to brighten or darken its lighting. The food was very flavourful. I ordered the lamb but my partner ordered the beef which I must say is my favourite. The seafood cake was also very satisfying and each bite was more and more enjoyable. If you are looking for a cozy rustic and elegant dining experience Inn on The Twenty is a must visit.
Christine N — Google review
We visited Inn on the Twenty as guests for a pre-wedding dinner and were immediately charmed by the hotel and the picturesque town. The evening was made even more magical by the town’s recent tree lighting ceremony, creating a scene reminiscent of a Hallmark Christmas movie. The evening began with a local sparkling wine, which was delightfully refreshing and set the tone for the meal. For appetizers, we enjoyed the Caesar salad and seared scallops. Both dishes were well-executed and flavorful. For our main courses, we chose the pork chop and the lamb. The pork chop was a standout—one of the best I’ve ever had—expertly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The lamb, while wonderfully flavored, was slightly chewy but still enjoyable. Dessert was a playful and festive mousse, which provided a delightful ending to the meal. The service was impeccable—professional, attentive, and friendly. A special thanks to Stacey for her exceptional service and her spot-on recommendation of the pork chop. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience. If I find myself in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Inn on the Twenty. Highly recommended!

We will never stop talking about our wedding day! It was truly unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional service we received throughout the entire experience. Our ceremony took place at the stunning Cave Spring Vineyard (Escarpment Site), and our reception followed at the beautiful Inn on the Twenty in the Windows Room. While the breathtaking venues initially sold us, it was the care and attention we received during the planning process that left the most lasting impression. Grace Foster and Grace McQuarrie were incredibly helpful from the start, guiding us through the site visit, contract details, and all the early planning stages. Our main point of contact and day-of coordinator, Becky Lane, was outstanding. She was professional, organized, and always quick to respond to our many questions. On the big day, everything ran flawlessly. Becky and her team went above and beyond to set up our ceremony and reception spaces, transforming our vision into reality with so much care and attention to detail. One moment that stood out: after the ceremony, my husband wasn’t feeling well and developed a headache. Becky showed genuine compassion, bringing him Gatorade and peppermint oil to help — a small gesture that meant so much and showed just how dedicated she was to making sure we were both taken care of. And the food! Our guests are still raving about their meals days later. Every part of the experience, from planning to the final bite of dinner, exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team. We’re so grateful and highly recommend both locations and the wonderful staff who made it all possible!

What a beautiful place to enjoy drinks and food. This farm to table winery has beautiful views and beautiful spaces to enjoy good company. The service was excellent. We got 2 flights and purchased 6 bottles the wine was so good. We also enjoyed an early lunch , their soup special , burrata salad and firewood oven pizza. everything tasted so fresh and delicious. recommend booking a reservation to be safe as it fills up quickly and is a popular spot for larger groups and celebrations. This spot has surpassed many other wineries we have on our go to list with great wines priced right.

We had the most appetizing brunch here. The food and atmosphere were really good! They have weekly features for pizza and a daily pasta menu. We tried their wine flight for $20 and it was just okay. Came here with my wife for lunch and we sat outdoors beside the gazebo, where a musician was singing and setting a relaxing vibe for the afternoon. It was the perfect atmosphere to enjoy some wine and great food. My wife ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and a glass of Riesling, while I went with Fielding’s cherry cider, all refreshing choices! For lunch, she had the summer melon salad with prosciutto, which was light and flavorful, and I ordered the Good Earth burger, which was cooked perfectly and really hit the spot. The vineyard itself has a beautiful layout with both indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking, and lots of great spots for photos. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with delicious food, great drinks, and a laid-back setting. We’ll definitely be coming back.

My family went there for lunch last weekend and all we could say was WOW! What an incredible property. The expansion to the restaurant was very modern with the glass windows showing the beautiful vineyards and orchards surrounding the area. Would love to have sat outside, but it was 45 degrees out, so we opted to sit indoors. Lots of seating options. The cucumber salad with burrata was the best salad I’ve ever had and the thin crust pizzas, fresh from the custom oven, were to die for. Will be back soon this summer. Must try the orange wine, something new to try and quite tasty! You can customize wine flights to sample whatever you’re craving.

Our group visited on one of the hottest days this summer and the staff made sure our experience was wonderful during the extreme heat. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Chef Andrew is truly talented! The food was exceptional - the strawberry soup was so fresh, and flavourful, as were the pizzas and unique salads - all created with the kind of presentation that makes you stop and admire before tasting. And to experience something intriguing, try the orange wine! The property itself is gorgeous, nice for our casual group and would be spectacular for a wedding. If you're looking to create some special memories with friends and family in the Beamsville area, visit The Good Earth, you'll absolutely love it!

Vineland Estates Winery is a picturesque vineyard and winery located in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. The winery features a helicopter pad, accommodation options for guests, as well as a rustic Canadian eatery with a patio. The wine produced at Vineland Estates is award-winning and fresh off the vinifera grape bunches.
A Hidden Gem Right in Our Backyard! Living in Jordan, we honestly don’t know how we hadn’t been to Vineland Estates sooner — but we finally went for Father’s Day, and we were blown away. The food was absolutely incredible — fresh, seasonal, and beautifully presented. Every course was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour. It felt like fine dining without the fuss — just really great food made with care. The wine pairings were outstanding, perfectly complementing each dish and showcasing the best of what the estate has to offer. It added such a special touch to the entire meal. The grounds are stunning, with sweeping vineyard views and a relaxed, elegant atmosphere. Whether you're sitting inside or out, it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor every moment. A perfect spot for a special occasion or a leisurely lunch. We’re already planning to go back — and bringing friends with us next time!

We had our wedding at Vineland Estates Winery in September 2025 and couldn’t be happier with the experience. We initially booked in October 2024 with Diane, and in the spring transitioned to working with Leighanna for all our planning. I cannot say enough about how incredible Leighanna is—she’s super organized, responsive, and made the entire process feel seamless. We especially appreciated meeting with her in person to go over all the details before the big day. On the wedding day, Leighanna was there preparing with the team and supporting us through the ceremony. Afterwards, the service manager took over for dinner, and the entire team was absolutely fabulous. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the wedding was and how incredible the food tasted. Thank you to everyone at Vineland Estates for helping bring our dream wedding to life!

Great ambience and delicious food. They don’t have a kids menu, but the staff suggested a pasta option which worked out well. Lovely place for a relaxing meal with wine.
Ivan C — Google review
I’ve visited Vineland Estates many times over the years, for birthdays, tours, and tastings, and always spoke highly of it. Unfortunately, after this recent visit, I will not be returning. Our group arrived at 4:10 PM and was told we had enough time for a tasting before closing. One member joined us at 4:30 PM, and since our wines were pre-ordered, she simply came to enjoy hers. Everything went smoothly until exactly 5:00 PM, when staff abruptly began clearing our unfinished glasses and told us, “We have a hard stop at five, you need to leave right away,” even as we were cashing out for four cases of wine. Their tone was unnecessarily rude and hostile, completely taking away from what should have been a joyful family celebration. What stood out even more was the difference in how we were treated compared to other guests. From 4:10 to 5:00 PM, the same staff member was warm and friendly toward the Caucasian guests, yet dismissive and cold toward our group from the start. We are Guyanese, of South Asian descent, and while half our group was born and raised in Canada, the other half has lived in Ontario for over 40 years. Still, we were made to feel like outsiders in our own city. NO ONE, regardless of their background or how long they’ve lived here, should be treated that way! We were dressed up for a birthday celebration, a rare occasion for our family to come together, and instead of hospitality, we were met with attitude and bias. Because of how we were treated, we chose not to purchase any wine and will not be returning. It’s unfortunate that a place I once recommended for its warmth and charm has allowed such discriminatory behavior to overshadow what could have been a beautiful experience.

This is not a "one and done" review. I have had the pleasure of dining at Vineland Estates about a dozen times in the past 2 years and it is CONSISTENTLY a 5 star experience. Chef George outdoes himself every season with innovative and mouth-watering menus. Every single dish that is set before us is meticulously put together and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. The staff are always friendly and are also very knowledgeable about the wonderful wines that accompany our meals. A special nod needs to go to Becca for always taking great care in serving us. I cannot recommend this dining experience high enough and I look forward to the next time.

August Restaurant

August Restaurant is a trendy eatery that provides a relaxed atmosphere and serves an array of contemporary Canadian dishes, including seafood stew and gnocchi, as well as classic brunch choices. Patrons can expect exceptional cuisine paired with a charming ambiance. The Omelette is particularly noteworthy, featuring delightful additions like caramelized onions and crispy smoked bacon on top. Their crispy potato wedges are reminiscent of the beloved Mary Browns.
Visited for brunch with my spouse. The atmosphere had a surprisingly cool and relaxing vibe. More reminiscent of Queen Strret than country restaurant. Darren, our server was excellent. Attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He did an excellent job of upselling the feature and it did not disappoint! I had two scotch eggs wrapped in sausage and bacon on a bed of Brussels sprouts served with crispy potatoes. Spouse had Dave’s omelette. We began with a basket of scones with house made preserves - I have no idea how these are not world famous! So good. We can’t wait to come back for dinner, it was just such a good experience.

August Restaurant is an absolute gem in the Niagara Benchlands. The scones are out of this world. They were light, fluffy, and paired with the most incredible mango jam that was to die for. You must get the scones. Seriously, you must. They are unforgettable. The rest of the food was just as impressive, so fresh and full of flavour that you can taste the care in every bite. Our server mentioned that much of the ingredients for their meals are made in-house or sourced in-house, which makes the experience feel even more special. On top of that, our server was wonderful, warm, attentive, and such a pleasure to interact with. Yes, there was a little wait for the food, but it was worth every minute for the quality and the experience. If you are in the Niagara Benchlands, make sure you stop by August Restaurant. Between the food, the service, and the atmosphere, it is an experience you will not forget.

We just had dinner there for the first time and as Arnold Schwarzenegger says … “I’ll be back … in August!” Quality food, quality service and quality atmosphere! Anna D — Google review
We recently dined at August Restaurant (5204 King Street, Beamsville, ON), and while the evening held promise, the experience proved uneven. We began with a Caesar salad and lobster tater tots. The salad was serviceable but uninspired — the kind of standard preparation one might expect anywhere. The tater tots, while conceptually playful, leaned heavily toward potato with only the faintest suggestion of lobster. Underseasoned and lacking balance, the star ingredient never truly shone. For mains, we selected the beef cubes with pappardelle in pomodoro sauce and a salmon entrée. The pasta was well executed — al dente with a bright, properly seasoned sauce. Unfortunately, the beef cubes were tough, stringy, and dry, detracting from what could have been a hearty, satisfying dish. The salmon fared no better: overcooked and paired with croutons that had lost all crispness, it lacked finesse and textural contrast. Dessert, however, provided redemption. The sticky toffee pudding was warm, indulgent, and beautifully done — the clear highlight of the evening and a reminder of the potential this kitchen can achieve. Overall, August Restaurant delivered flashes of capability, particularly in pasta and dessert, but too many missteps in execution left the experience feeling underwhelming. With more attention to seasoning, texture, and balance, this could evolve into a dining destination worthy of its charming address.

"Just Cooking Rustic Italian" is a highly recommended restaurant that offers fresh and tasty food with excellent service. The cozy atmosphere and cleanliness of the establishment, including thoughtful amenities in the bathroom, add to the overall experience. Visitors have praised the authentic Italian cuisine and friendly, accommodating staff. While some expected more surprises for the price, others found the quality and quantity of food worth it.
2025.04 It was our first time dining here and we had a wonderful time. The food was tasty, with a big portion size. We liked the complimentary focaccia, the pollo parmigiano and linguine bolognese, and we loved the tiramisu which was one of the best we had ever had, reminding us of our trip to Italy. The only dish that was a bit disappointing was the calamari - it looked and tasted greasy for some reasons. The green sauce coming with it was amazing though, and the chef was very kind to handwrite me a list of ingredients when I asked our server about the sauce. All servers were professional and friendly, and service was fast. I would recommend this place.

With a patio in front and additional parking at the bank, it is inviting. Once inside you’re greeted by eager staff, makes you feel welcomed. It’s beautifully decorated inside, worst place to be seated is by the washroom, though it’s still okay. While the sunset is beautiful on the west side, not at that spot. Food is a bit salty, two dishes of pasta were. The host explained one of the pasta sauce had bacon on it but they replaced it with a different dish with no hush. Service is excellent. I would ask next time more about the dish, to be sure of a great experience.

First time here and enjoyed from beginning to the end: friendly waitress, good meal size and very welcoming atmosphere.

We had a lovely dinner at Just Cooking Rustic Italian. The space has a refined yet relaxed vibe, and on a warm evening the patio looked especially inviting. The restaurant was packed, yet our server was attentive, engaging, and even comped one of our mains that wasn’t to our liking — truly excellent service. The focaccia with chive sauce was delicious, and both the arancini and octopus were outstanding. The octopus was perfectly cooked and paired with a bright medley of bitters, while the arancini had a crisp outer shell and a savory, fluffy center. We washed it all down with a bottle of Bella Terra wine and were off to a great (if increasingly full) start. For mains, the porchetta wasn’t to my personal taste (I’m not a fan of fatty cuts), but the veal shank had great flavor, even if the cut was a bit fatty and tough. With a different cut, this dish could really shine. Of note, the porchetta was served with the butcher's string still on it. I’ve noticed the owner can be quite passionate when responding to criticism — which, given the packed house and over a decade in business, makes sense. There’s a lot to be proud of here.

Nice low key Italian place with a group that I can tell absolutely cares about their dishes with how they handle their off the menu specials. I love hearing places using what ever is in season or w/e the are able to get their hands on. The octopus was outstanding genuinely one of the best I've ever had. Great portion size, great price. 9/10. [Polpo $22] The table bread was a focaccia with scallion oil. Simple, delicious. 10/10. The linguine bolognese was good (great portions and value with tons of meaty sauce) and was ironically held back by the quality of the pasta used. With the current pasta choice (tasted like a generic bought linguine) it was a solid 7/10 but could have easily been an 8 with a more intentional pasta choice that can take more on the sauce and had a better depth of flavour. The Campanella Con Pollo was disappointing. The Campanella is such a tediously difficult pasta to make so to have it be made in house is impressive. But then pairing it with a weak, watery sauce, dry chicken and calling it a pasta dish sounds like a lazy whatever is in the fridge situation. Most difficult to forgive however was the cook on the pasta. The pasta may be hand made but it must be dried and not made fresh because fresh pasta would be literally impossible to be THIS al dente. Maybe it was a mistake or maybe it was a intentional choice but either way that dish was almost dinner ruining. I'm going to give that item a pass though becuase all the rest of the items were solid. 4/5 should have been a 5/5. Please rethink the Campenlle Con Pollo. It's a hard to make dish that is actively taking away from your menu and experience.

Ordered a Campanelle con Pollo. Wow it was extremely salty. Others at my table who also ordered pastas had the same issue. There is too much salt in their pastas!!! Seems like there are other reviews this year who also think the same. If you come here, I would avoid the chicken pastas!

Redstone Winery & Restaurant

Restaurant
Winery
Redstone Winery & Restaurant is a modern establishment that serves seasonal dishes made of locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant boasts a spacious patio where guests can dine while enjoying the tranquil vineyard scenery. The winery offers an extensive list of wines, including their Brickyard Riesling, Meritage Redstone Vineyard, Syrah Redstone Vineryard, and Cabernet Sauvignon Icewine.
Redstone winery is a gem if you are heading towards Niagara. We were delighted with our time spent in this incredible estate. Special thanks to Chris and the Italian french-speaking lady who were absolutely stunning and experienced. They made our wine tasting experience one to cherish. Loved the atmosphere and the service provided. We were served with a variety of wine which all tasted deliciously great ranging from the sparkling, white and red wines. We were so surprised with the quality wine produced by Redstone and grabbed few bottles to take home. Will definitely come back for a visit during the harvest vineyard for another magnificent experience A place not to miss!!

We’ve been to The Redstone Winery & Restaurant (thanks in part to our friends Sandy & Mike) several times now — for special events, dinners, and most recently, a Thanksgiving lunch — and each and every time, our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The venue (breathtaking views and beautiful architecture), staff, scenery, vibe, and entertainment are all outstanding. From the moment you arrive, the team makes you feel genuinely welcome. Sarah, the Manager, is wonderful and so kind. Riley is the best!- she never hesitates to accommodate my indecisiveness (indoor vs outdoor seating). Shelby is always positive and smiling (love her!)....Joshua is great (super nice and cool), and Jason is very patient and kind. They are always friendly, attentive, and full of positive energy. Chef Kristina Pierce is truly remarkable. Her bespoke, personally curated dishes reflect an extraordinary palate and a refined creativity that deserves serious recognition — the kind you’d expect from a restaurant worthy of Michelin Star status. And it's just a matter of time ⭐️ The food is exceptional, the wine selection is otherworldly, and the entire experience is one that keeps us coming back. A beautiful setting, incredible food, amazing wine, and even better people — The Redstone Winery & Restaurant is a place that truly shines 💫🍾🍷

Beautiful and quiet winery and a great place for a fancy lunch! We had cocktails and tried a wine tasting afterwards which was also great. The salads were simple, but amazing, and the cocktails were delicious. Definitely a bit of a splurge, but worth it.

Loved it here. Reminded me of Tawse but it’s the same ownership and they are next door to each other. This place is a lot smaller outside but it still holds a lot of people. Inside is nice as well. The weather was perfect so I’m glad we decided to take a table outside.

We have visited Redstone Winery & Restaurant several times, and every visit has left us with the warmest impressions! • Family dinner: cozy interior, welcoming atmosphere, child-friendly attitude, attentive staff, and, of course, truly delicious food. • Family lunch outdoors: a pleasant meal in the fresh air with a view of the vineyard, excellent cuisine, and impressive lunch specials. • Girls’ night out with friends: once again, outstanding service, a relaxing atmosphere, and we were absolutely happy with our experience. As a photographer, I also recommend planning your dinner just before sunset — the vineyard views at golden hour are simply magical, and you can get some stunning photos to remember the evening. We highly recommend this restaurant — whether for dinner, lunch, or a get-together with friends!

We had a lovely and delightful dinner here at Red Stone. We picked the perfect restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and Kylie (sorry if we spelt it wrong) was our amazing waitress! She was very knowledgeable and we loved every recommendation she gave us especially the oysters and sangria! We highly recommend a sunset dinner. We will definitely be coming back!

What an absolutely fantastic experience! From start to finish, this winery exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere was stunning—beautifully set up and inviting! The food was exceptional, every dish thoughtfully prepared, visually pleasing and full of flavor. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was our server, Kylie. She was outstanding—warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She guided us through the menu and recommended all 3 wines for my tasting flight, which did not disappoint - we ended up buying a bottle of each one. Between the incredible food, the great wine, and Kylie’s top-notch service, this winery is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to come back!

The Jordan House Tavern & Lodging is a relaxed establishment offering comfortable accommodations and a laid-back atmosphere. With cozy rooms, a casual tavern featuring an outdoor seating area, pool table, and live music, it provides a welcoming environment for guests. The restaurant has received positive reviews for its delicious food, including the popular Reuben Sandwich and fresh-cut fries. The service is exceptional with friendly and engaging staff members like server Ashley.
Large comfortable room, excellent shower, excellent fridge, location perfect for the restaurant next door. The food was fantastic. Best mussels I've ever had.....compliments to the chef. Peach cheescake was delicious. Wait staff very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.
Pat O — Google review
If you're looking for a hotel devoid of charm, this is your place. Jordan House Tavern & Lodging does not reflect the personality or warmth of the town it sits in. It feels sterile and uninspired, and completely misses the opportunity to match the character of its surroundings. From the start, the experience was inconvenient. You don’t even check in at the building itself. You have to go to a completely different hotel to get your key, which was annoying to say the least. The room felt outdated. The walls were painted black, and the bedside lights were an intense, clinical white. A lone photo of a Scottish Highland cow hung on the wall, which felt disconnected from everything else. For the price they charge, you would expect the basics to be handled. Instead of a doorstop, there was a screwdriver being used to prop the door open. It felt lazy and careless. Overall, the space lacks attention, effort, and any kind of charm. It feels like an afterthought.

We can’t express how disappointed we were with our lunch yesterday. We haven’t visited the JH in ages, and after this experience, we definitely won’t be returning. The burger was dried out and tasted like a prefab patty, while the garlic parmesan wings were plain, dried out, and completely lacking in flavor. Honestly, the only thing we enjoyed was the wine and beer. For three people — one appetizer, three entrées, and drinks — the bill came to $159, which is just crazy given the quality of the food.

Didn’t stay at the hotel but ate at the restaurant and had the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had - you would never know it was gf. The server (Ashleigh?) was excellent. I think they also have gf buns for burgers but it wasn’t on the menu. Neither was the gf crust option so make sure to ask your server!

The Restaurant at Peninsula Ridge

Restaurant
The Restaurant at Peninsula Ridge is a romantic and elegant spot for a special meal. The menu features classic American dishes with a twist, like their filet mignon with bacon-wrapped dates, and their crab cakes are out of this world. Whether you're looking for a delicious date night or an intimate evening out with your loved ones, this restaurant is perfect.
Once again our experience was nothing less than wonderful! We were immediately greeted by the hostess who offered to take our coats and seated us. You can tell they invest in customer service training with their team and that the staff enjoys being there. Melissa our server was very friendly and did a wonderful job of taking care of us. We appreciated the time in between our appetizer and our dinner. It was not rushed and allowed us time to enjoy the evening and the lovely 2022 Meritage that we ordered. Chef Matt and his team once again delivered an amazing dinner. The chicken liver mousse was incredible, a must try! The surf and turf, first of all the price is amazing, and everything was perfect. Beautiful presentation and delicious! Thank you for another lovely experience!

Peninsula Ridge is a warm, inviting restaurant that we often happily return to. Consistently a fine experience when we enjoy brunch here. Make sure to request a seat on the patio, it offers a nice view of the vinyard. The menu is outstanding, along with their wines. Service is attentive kind and knowledgeable, This is one of our favorite places to visit and highly recommended.

Food is ok but I would expect more when you have an excellent environment and service here. The Mexican soup is great, but 2 main dishes are disappointed. Tuna taco is over seasoned, I can’t taste any tuna. Pasta sauce is not rich, no surprise. Service is great and price is reasonable.

Peninsula Ridge has upped their game. We enjoyed our meal on the deck. It was a wonderful day, bright blue skies and a warm sun. We had the mussels in Smoked Tomato Broth/Capers/Butter/Bruschetta which were to die for. We needed to order extra orders of bread to soak up the broth. It was so good. We also had the Peninsula Ridge Antipasto Platter. Also great. The server recommended the 2021 Cabernet Rosé which paired great with the mussels, the platter and the day. To finish it all up we had cappuccinos and the Decadent Chocolate Truffle Cake. Awesome. Already dreaming about our next visit.

Friday date night and this restaurant did not disappoint! The property is incredible as it is surrounded by the vineyards and trees and Lake Ontario in the distance. The building itself was restored to pay tribute to its 1800s appeal, and the gardens around the patio are well taken care of. The food and service matches the setting perfectly. I ordered lamb and she had the tenderloin, but we each had some of both. Played beautifully, and paired with the PR Cabernet Merlot. We also ordered desert which may even have been the highlight of the night! For an unplanned choice of restaurant we scored a big win, and will definitely plan to return soon.
Strength F — Google review
3.8/5 The ambiance is great for a weekend lunch or brunch. It’s a quiet space with comfy chairs and ample light. There’s also plenty of patio space around the building for when the weather is warmer. As for the food, it was decent but nothing special, unfortunately. We tried the Prime Rib Burger and the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Ciabatta. The burger was all right. I would have preferred more toppings for texture but it was a decent sandwich. The wedges on the side were not hot and quite chewy so I could have passed on those. The chicken sandwich was a whole fried chicken breast, fresh out of the frier. This was filling and flavourful. The ingredients they use here are very fresh, so that we appreciated. One thing we noticed was the absence of our server. Although very nice, she was quite busy with minimal time to attend to us. Overall, it was an okay experience. We’ve been here for dinner and their strip loin was very good, so we may return for that but maybe not for lunch.
Hannah R — Google review
This spot on the bench is amazing. The views, the staff, the food. All of it! We started with a tasting before our lunch reservation. The knowledgeable staff were wonderful, providing all the information on the different wines we had selected to try. Then when we entered the restaurant, which is in a large, old turn of the century home, we were treated like royalty. Our server, Matthew, was attentive and knowledgeable as well as very friendly. We enjoyed the soup of the day, which was a potato and leek with bacon. We also had the Gnocchi and the charcuterie board. We paired an un-oaked white Chardonnay with lunch. All was incredible. Thanks for the lovely time.

Nestled in the heart of the neighborhood, The Butcher & Banker Pub captures the essence of a classic British pub while offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. With friendly staff ready to serve, this local gem is perfect for casual dining. Guests rave about their delicious nachos, which are said to be some of the best around, leaving diners fully satisfied even before their main courses arrive.
BEAT NACHOS I’VE EVER HAD!! I now understand why everyone says this is the best pub in town cause WOW. Came for fathers day and we were all full (family of 4) from the nachos! Our mains didn't even come out yet. And those didn't disappoint either! Amazing food, amazing value and portion sizes, great atmosphere and very kind and friendly staff. Will ABSOLUTELY be going back and recommend the nachos!!

Went on st pats day, nice brittish looking pub inside with friendly staff. The Yorkie and quesidillas were excellent and the chicken fingers with fries were tasty. Only thing I can complain about is the little hair in my food, warped plate I could spin like a top it became a fun activity and the busted speaker near the ceiling that only put out bass. Also they may be using some vinegar based cleaner on the table it lingered for a while. 4.50 for a diet coke a bit steep but food prices were reasonable.

When traveling, it's difficult to know the good from the bad. So we read reviews, ask for the best in the area, and check out the menus. Sometimes it works, but this time, it didn't. My husband ordered the fish and chips. It looked great, but he said it had no taste no matter how much vinegar he used. Then the fries... when they come to the table, they are hot and crispy. But as soon as they cool off ... yuck. Not good. I had the beef dip sandwich. Too salty. The meat itself was dry and too salty. The cheese was overpowering, but the horseradish mayo was great. Again, the same for the fries. The beer was good? Sure Would we go back? Definitely not.
Alanna A — Google review
Dont listen to the negative reviews, they are either too old to count due to restaurant changes and turnover (older than 2 years means nothing in the hospitality industry), they have no merit, or no logic. However, I can say this restaurant learns from their reviews. The pricing for the food is appropriate for the quantity and quality you get. I recommend keeping in mind what foods have extra charges (*sweet potato fries are more expensive to produce than regular, to the person who left a bad review for the pricing of two wraps and fries). The food itself, great! The fish and chips were great and had a nice BIG portion of fish (basically the whole fish). Also, the slaw was AMAZING! The corned beef on rye was really tasty but the bread was a little on the thick side (no big deal). The fajita wrap was also very good. The cheese was melted perfectly and the taco flavoring was phenomenal. Finally: the brocolli and cauliflower soup of the day, amazing. I wanted more even though I was full. Now, although there were few staff (it's a Monday at lunch so that's fine), they were pleasant. It would have been nice to have a check in half way through but we still loved the experience. As for the atmosphere and look: when you search "classic British pub" it's almost exactly what you see here. The music was 70s classics which we LOVE. It's not classic pub music, but still awesome and appropriate for a relaxed Monday lunch. 😎 Quality job, well done!

Toronto Pearson International Airport

International airport
Airport
Toronto Pearson International Airport is a well-organized airport with amenities catering to travelers' needs. It offers a wide range of eateries and shops, free WiFi, and rotating art displays for passengers to enjoy. The airport also provides accommodations nearby, such as the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites, conveniently located just minutes away. Additionally, Budget Car Rental services are available at the airport for convenient transportation options.
My experience here, for both the arrival and departure was good and smooth. Arrival on AI 187 from Delhi was good for immigration , luggage collection, complimentary WiFi and washrooms facilities. We had to wait a little longer than normal to get off the aircraft , though. For departure, the check in, security check all was smooth. For facilities , the gate here is little different from other airports, the duty free shops are just beside the gates, the seating area a charging point almost on every 2 seats. The walking from check in to gates are longer than normal though. Currency exchange here are in abundance but the rate is something I couldn't find a rationale to. For the transfers to this place, Uber and Lyft offer to select the drop off point as per the airlines , Hopp doesn't have the facility though. To ride a ride app vehicle get a level down to basement after exiting the arrival gates. Overall a good airport!!!
Alok M — Google review
Toronto Pearson International is Canada's busiest airport, and growing. After reporting 43.7 million passengers in 2023, it experienced a 4.4% increase to 46.8 million passengers in 2024. The first time I used this airport was in October of 2025, when I arrived via Terminal 3 (from Washington, DC) and departed (to Phoenix, AZ) from Terminal 1 slightly less than 24 hours later. Obviously, this is a busy airport (on the day I left, they reported via X that they were "expecting more than 128,000 passengers with 956 flights departing and arriving [that day]... "), so they are as efficient as international airport I've seen. There is also the normal array of (expensive) restaurants and a variety of stores that are willing to take you money as you wait for flights. That is standard practice in international airports, and Toronto Pearson is comparative. However, with 14.3 million of those travelers (about 30.5%) reported to be connecting passengers, it never ceases to amaze me how uncomfortable airport seating is. I didn't see many, or any, places to rest, lay back, or lie down. Instead, there were thousands of the uncomfortable airport seats that you seem to be able to find almost anywhere in the world, along with the requisite passengers stretching and bending as they battle to achieve some level of comfort.
Jared B — Google review
Arriving at the airport is easy, it’s well organized and accessible. The signage for each airline is clear and helpful. Baggage drop-off and security checks are usually efficient and quick. It doesn’t feel overly crowded most of the time. Make sure to enjoy your stay in Toronto, it’s a beautiful city!
Sebastian B — Google review
Pretty good airport. I only really saw terminal 1 and it is very efficient. Not too much stuff, really about just enough. Just wish there was better convenient food options. Some parts of the airport are modern and others lesso. They have a family lounge area with movie screens and couches for kids. I like that the security is efficient even though the lines can be long. They tell you the estimated wait time above the line.
Leonard — Google review
Efficient signage, large parking garage, helpful agents. TSA line took about 20 min on a Monday morning. Bathrooms were clean. Food prices in the airport were not higher than outside the airport. Appreciated tables with plenty of electrical outlets while waiting for the flight.
Anne P — Google review
In my opinion, this airport is a bit outdated and I wish they could revamp for good. The immigration system is so outdated compared to other countries especially they been relying on papers and manual approvals. The baggage collection is the worst of all. Especially if baggage in two belts, I seen some staffs throw the bags the middle to free up the space (never seen this in most of the airports I visited). I need to collect a yellow paper from immigration officer and needed to handover it while I exit and it’s not even checked by anyone so what’s the point?? I wish this airport could be better and reflects the prestige of Canada. I write this because even Thailand airport is much more effective than this one.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Toronto Pearson International Airport – Truly Amazing! ✈️🇨🇦 I recently had the pleasure of traveling through Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), and I must say — it was an absolutely amazing experience! 🙌 From start to finish, everything was smooth, clean, and well-organized. 🧼 Clean & Comfortable: The first thing I noticed was how spotless the airport is! The floors, seating areas, and washrooms were all incredibly clean. 🧽✨ Despite being a very busy airport, it never felt crowded or chaotic. The overall vibe was calm, quiet, and relaxing, which made waiting for my flight so much easier. 😌 👩‍💼 Friendly & Helpful Staff: The people at Pearson are so kind and helpful! 💕 Whenever I needed directions or assistance, there was always someone nearby ready to help with a smile. Their friendly attitude really makes you feel welcome and cared for. 🤝 🚗 Plenty of Parking: Parking was also a breeze! There are lots of parking spots, and everything is clearly marked and easy to find. Whether you’re parking for a few hours or several days, the process is very convenient and stress-free. 🅿️✅ 🛫 Etihad Airways Experience: I traveled with Etihad Airways, and their check-in counters at Pearson were so well-organized. Everything from dropping off my luggage to going through security was quick and smooth. 👏 The staff were polite, efficient, and professional — making the start of my journey even better! ✨ ☕🛍️ Amenities & Atmosphere: Toronto Pearson also has a great variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops. 🍴☕🛒 Whether you want a quick snack or some last-minute shopping, there’s something for everyone. Friendly people, great service, and a truly world-class experience. 🇨🇦❤️

It’s a nice airport with very poor signage. First off I’m driving up to drop off my rental at terminal 3. I pass a sign that says car rental with 2 logos of car rental companies. Naturally I say neither of those companies are the one I’m looking for so I keep driving. Nope. That was my turn off and I need to go around the airport again. Then I drop off my car and head to the terminal. There’s a sign that says elevator but no signs to say where the terminal is. Luckily I’ve been here before and remember I need to go up. Once I get into the terminal I need to get to Gate B. I follow the sign for Gates B and C. I start walking and it takes me to international flights. I turn around and walk back towards Gate A. I see off in the distance on the wall Gates B and C but I turn around and clearly see a sign pointing me in the WRONG DIRECTION. (See video) Lastly I make it through security and the area is nice and comfortable. But there’s a LOT of sparrows flying around in doors and they’re pooping all over. It doesn’t matter how nice your airport is, it’s not nice when you associate anger and frustration with your establishment from the very poor and confusing signage.
