San Xavier del Bac Mission

Catholic church
Sights & Landmarks
San Xavier del Bac is a Spanish Colonial Catholic mission built in 1783 that is now a National Historic Landmark. This beautiful church features baroque architecture and painted artwork and it is still used for religious purposes, making it a great place to visit if you are interested in history or religion.
Just an exquisite safe haven for the heart and mind. The long rich history of the Mission is full of breathtaking artistry, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship. We visited on a Sunday, and the sanctuary was full, and the Sunday Mass was about to begin, so we didn't get to see the entire sanctuary (note: I am not Catholic, and don't know if there is a different word for that area of a church. I apologize!) There is also a shrine up in the hill to the right. I was up there some 30 years ago. A very peaceful, secluded place to pray or think. One of my favorite places on this planet. 🥰🥰🥰
Deborah W — Google review
Incredible. The detail is stunning, takes you back in time. So peaceful. Museum portion is very informative. No tickets are needed but donations are helpful for preserving this amazing site and the community.
Maria V — Google review
A very beautiful place to visit. Very calming and the history all around the grounds. The gift shop is so nice. Staff is friendly and outside vendors have yummy Popovers Indian Bread. We will be back soon.😊
Specialk3266 — Google review
San Xavier del Bac Mission truly lives up to its nickname, “The White Dove of the Desert.” This magnificent and spiritual Spanish Catholic mission, completed in 1797, is a stunning example of Baroque architecture and features breathtaking painted artwork throughout. The atmosphere inside the church is deeply moving. It was incredibly touching to see all the candles purchased for the sick, the dead, and for miracles. The fact that a candle, which costs just $8, will burn for an entire week is a beautiful gesture. The mission grounds are equally charming. We loved strolling through the courtyard with its beautiful fountain and browsing the quaint gift shop for unique Arizona trinkets. The food vendors outside were a great addition, offering delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. This is a must-see for anyone in the Tucson area, whether you appreciate history, architecture, or are simply looking for a peaceful and spiritual place to visit.
Littlemsdetroit — Google review
The outside facade is current under renovation. This was a brief stop for me as I'm not well acquinted with the history. I assume it's similar to other missions in Texas and California. Very elaborate decorations
Wa W — Google review
Amazing and beautiful! The architecture was amazing, the museum and the church still continues to serve the Tohono O’odham community! Definitely check it out when in Tucson. Also, if they do have mass, please do not enter. And bring water as well!
Kimberly F — Google review
San Xavier del Bac Mission, built in 1797, is a stunning example of Mexican Baroque architecture. The intricate carvings, vibrant frescoes, and preserved religious relics make it a deeply spiritual and historical site. Inside, the ornate altars and centuries-old artifacts reflect the rich Catholic heritage of the region. It's both a place of worship and a must-see tourist destination near Tucson. The peaceful desert setting adds to its beauty, and guided tours offer valuable insights into its cultural and architectural significance. A true gem of Arizona history and a remarkable experience.
Eric L — Google review
The church buildings stand out even from a distance as you approach. Up close, they are stunning, with ornate interiors. Next to the church, there is a museum that showcases its history. It was a wonderful visit.

Pima Air & Space Museum

History museum
Museums
The Pima Air & Space Museum is a sprawling 80-acre complex that houses over 400 historical aircraft, making it one of the largest non-government-funded aerospace museums globally. Visitors can explore indoor and outdoor exhibits showcasing a wide range of aircraft, including the iconic Wright Flyer from 1903, the legendary Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, and even a modern marvel like the 787 Dreamliner.
Brought my son from Florida here for his first visit. He was totally impressed. I hadn't been in a couple of years and there were many improvements. So many aircraft. Maybe the third best air museum after Wright Patterson and Smithsonian. Outside exhibits as well as indoor. The restrooms have been remodeled and are air conditioned as is the Cafe. So there is much to see inside on a hot day.
Roger C — Google review
First rate air museum, been to a few this is by far the best I have been too. Going back again for a thorough visit. They really have too many planes to see. Mainly from WWII and forward. Went on tour ride worth the extra price well explained.
Laurence G — Google review
We once sat at the precipice of war. Deep in the ground hid our defenses. This tour was fantastic. When they enact the countdown procedures you'll get chills up your spine. Well worth visiting.
Michael M — Google review
This had been on my bucket list for a while, but when they acquired the Philippine Mars, it made it that much more a "need to go"! It is an all day, or two day visit if you are a real plane buff. We were fortunate that the day we visited, (1st day) the 390th Memorial Museum on site, had a special guest. Colonel Richard B. Bushing Ret. It was amazing the get to talk to someone that was such a part of shaping the world in our lifetime. He is 102 and very much still a firecracker. It is amazing to see the variety and volume of aircraft on display. Go early and wear good walking shoes.
Greg W — Google review
Interesting aviation museum covering mostly military aircraft spread over a large area. Summer opening hours are 0900-1500h, but by 1430h the outdoor exhibits are not open to visit. It's not easy to cover every exhibit in one day, and there's a lot of walking to do. A cap and plenty of water are recommended, as it can be brutally hot and there are few places to sit. One hangar contains a beautifully restored B-17G that is well worth the visit, as are several hangars containing well-restored aircraft, mainly from WW2. There is some equipment and other artifacts also on display that make for interesting reading. It's easy to get app-based cabs to and from the museum, and there is a covered waiting area at the entrance.
Arjun S — Google review
Went while on vacation. Definitely worth the price! I'd suggest putting aside a full day here as me and my partner spent several hours and didn't see everything! The planes were amazing, unfortunately we had other plans otherwise I would've taken the bus tour!! Loved every second of it!
Time H — Google review
It has really grown since the last time I was there. Huge variety of aircraft and most buildings are climate controlled. Most of the museum is out doors so bring your sun screen. The new B17 standalone museum with in a museum is open. Tons of staffing with good air conditioning. They will ask you for donations on top of the normal entrance fee but it is optional.
D G — Google review
Very huge air and space museum with many hundred of different type of plane. Strongly recommend this museum. There is a military vehicle museum beside this museum also worth to take a look. But remember to bring sunscreen because most plane are outdoor, and the sunshine is too strong and weather is too hot outdoor. BRING SUNSCREEN!

Botanical garden
The Tucson Botanical Gardens, situated on the historic Porter Family property, spans over 5 acres and offers a variety of educational activities for visitors. The gardens feature diverse areas such as the Cactus & Succulent Garden, Herb Garden, Barrio Garden, and Cox Butterfly and Orchid Pavilion where tropical butterflies can be seen from October to May. Visitors can explore winding paths that lead through stunning gardens including a Zen Garden, Prehistoric Garden, Butterfly Garden, and Children's Garden.
Beautiful gardens with indoor and outdoor exhibits. There was a large group of school children there when I visited on Tuesday afternoon that were a bit rambunctious. Other than that the garden was peaceful and not very busy. I was able to enter the indoor butterfly exhibit without waiting, as they limit the number of people inside. Highly recommend! I spent about 2 hours there in total, wandering the gardens. Excellent variety and wonderful gift shop. Decent size parking lot, though it was nearly full when I arrived at noon.
Erika S — Google review
It was $5. Friday which was a great surprise. But the gift shop and some of the areas were closed off for renovation. It would be nice if they had arrows pointing your way. I felt like we were walking in circles and may have missed a lot.
Carla T — Google review
The Tucson Botanical Gardens are absolutely magical! It's a peaceful oasis filled with vibrant flowers, striking cacti, and gorgeous succulents at every turn. One of the highlights of our visit was the Butterfly Garden—an unforgettable experience! We saw huge blue butterflies fluttering around us and even spotted some giant moths. Truly mesmerizing. We had such a wonderful time exploring the gardens. Just a heads-up for fellow visitors: if you're hoping to see the model trains, be sure to come earlier in the day. We arrived around 2 PM, and due to the heat, they had to turn the trains off to protect the engines. Still, that didn’t take away from our experience. The gardens left us with beautiful memories and a sense of calm. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tucson—this place is a hidden gem!
Irina O — Google review
This place is getting 5 stars but for the butterfly garden only. We were lucky to get there right before they were closing the garden. We were rushed and I wish I knew they closed earlier. So many pretty butterflies. The place needs a lot of renovating and upkeep but still very informative with all the plants. I feel the price of the tickets are a bit too much for what they have.
Johanna P — Google review
I decided on 4 stars because quite a portion of the garden is undergoing construction but you still pay full price. The gift shop isn't open and I was hoping for postcards🤷🏽‍♀️. It's pretty and peaceful, I knew the new Frida garden wasn't open yet but wasn't prepared for all the rest of the closure. I'd still go back if ever back in town.
Caroling G — Google review
Not a very big area but has many things including a small indoor butterfly garden and a train track garden that kids will love, highly recommended because you can see lots of plants and not getting too tired from walking much.
TWN G — Google review
Loved being here! Really easy for the toddlers to roam freely, worry free. We should’ve gone earlier in the morning. And the trains are not operational on Mondays. Otherwise, really good, educational visit.
K E — Google review
Great place to spend an hour. Butterfly room was great. Gift shop was closed until 1 June 2025 though. Too bad. Bought our military tickets online before getting there. Makes sure we didn’t get in a crowd. Trains were a plus!

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Reid Park Zoo, located in Tucson, Arizona, was established in 1965 by Gene Reid. The zoo spans 24 acres and is home to over 30 different species of animals from South America, Asia, and Africa. It is a city-owned non-profit organization funded by state tax dollars and conservation societies. Visitors can see a wide variety of animals such as lemurs, flamingos, otters, bears, tortoises, and anteaters.
We went to the zoo for the first time yesterday, during the cooler 6-8 pm hours. I was very impressed with the habitats, they were spacious and provide lots of shade and places to get away from us when the animals wish to. Being from the East Coast originally we enjoyed seeing animals we had not seen in person at other zoos. The layout provided lots of walking space and provided a pleasant experience. There was lots for kids to do and a good musician performing. We will definitely be back to see the new Asian exhibit.
Jennifer H — Google review
This little zoo was big on heart! We loved how close you get to the animals and their beautiful enclosures. We are members of the Pheonix Zoo and got 50% off too. We spent a day here enjoying the place. Plus they have 6 elephants and an adorable baby!!
CKMixx21 K — Google review
Great park to enjoy a day with kids. Cost effective, walk friendly with shade. Well maintained Zoo with limited number of animals and feeding giraffes was one of the moments where kids enjoyed a lot. Birds camp is really special and indoor museum is good to enjoy with kids.
Madheswaran P — Google review
Reid Park Zoo is a wonderful gem of a zoo. The variety of animals, the layout of the park, and the staff all make this a wonderful place to visit. There are the staple animals like lions, zebras, and hippos, as well as capybaras, gibbons, and snakes. The giraffes get really close to visitors, which makes for a fun selfie opportunity. There are lots of shady areas and places to sit that help make your visit enjoyable and refreshing. The food stands are spread apart and offer a nice selection of goodies to keep your energy up. The gift shop is clean, organized, and the staff is pleasant. Reid Park Zoo makes for an excellent trip. There are so many amazing animals to watch, tons of learning opportunities, and a magnificent way to spend some family fun time.
Mappening R — Google review
We had an absolute blast at the Reid Park Zoo! Recently came here for the first time and was honestly blown away. The zoo is awesome, and we already can't wait to go back again! Once you're inside, there is so much to do and see. The zoo itself is a really great size. The walking paths give you great views of all the animals. The exhibits are really nice, well kept, and pretty spacious. We really enjoyed all the different animals that are here. Most of them were very active when we were there, which made the experience even better! There are multiple walk-in exhibits, a huge playground area for kids, zoo keeper interactive experiences, and more. Keep an eye out for a peacock, or a bunch, roaming around, too! There is a gift shop, restaurant, and plenty of snack stands throughout the zoo as well. The whole zoo is easily accessible and very clean as well. We can't wait to come back and spend another great day at Reid Park Zoo!
T S — Google review
this zoo was so amazing! very cleanly and the animals look so happy and at peace which you don’t always see at zoos in arizona. we loved the elephants, rhino, anteater, and giraffes especially. i will definitely be back the next time i'm in tucson!
Dani X — Google review
Coming on a weekday right around noon. When the kids were headed out was perfect timing. You were able to enjoy the exhibits, still see lots of animals, without crazy crowds. I was super impressed with the bird exhibits and being able to sit among the exotic birds. The well, habitats are well done and you really feel pretty darn close to the animals. We come from a big city with a much bigger zoo, but this zoo is pretty awesome. Will be back for the night time program!
Michelle M — Google review
I took my grandson a few weeks ago to see the baby zebra. Lovely habitat. Mommy zebra was very protective of her baby. Only one other female in her habitat. Also it was fun seeing the juvenile elephant siblings. They are such a sweet family. We also went to the bird sanctuary. My grandson loved taking photos from my phone. He caught a great pic of the male & female lions. ♥️

Visitors can explore thousands of meticulously crafted miniatures created by artists from around the world, including furniture, buildings, people, and historical scenes. The museum offers educational tours and outreach programs aligned with Arizona Common Core standards to ignite imagination and inspire exploration of mathematical concepts, literature, art, history, and different cultures.
Another trip to this wonderful place (4 in total). It is so amazing and incredible work to see in such detail. The staff is friendly and informative on the artists who work on these beautiful pieces. Great for all ages. Do not pass up The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures!! My personal favorite is the Barrio Kitchen.
Crystal B — Google review
I've lived in Tucson for 4 years now and was my first time going since a friend was in town visiting. If you enjoy intricate detailing, great place to visit! We unfortunately went pretty late in the day so only had about an hour and a half to view everything but I definitely would have stayed longer if I could. Amazing pieces and there are video monitors in different rooms that you can choose to play that will give information while you're browsing. Highly recommend!
Lexi M — Google review
Bently house mini's is the reason we came in. Her builds are awesome! I missed the adams family house but i am looking forward to her next, and i hope it is the beetle juice build. Love this museum and very impressive. Btw, my pics do not do it justice. They could use better lighting in some areas. Other areas were outstanding.
Curtis A — Google review
I had a great time here. Employees were super nice. The second you walk in you can already gaze at some really neat pieces. Fair price to get in, not bad at all. They had a great exhibit on Ray Harryhausen and how he made the monsters for the films he was involved in, really cool to see! The whole museum is fantastic, so many incredible miniatures with so much detail you'll never see it all. The halloween and especially christmas themed rooms were my favorite, the christmas village was incredible! Great museum.
Seth N — Google review
The Mini Time Machine Museum is such a magical place! This museum is so often overlooked, many locals have never set foot inside. They are missing out! Here you'll find tiny, beautifully crafted historical scenes as well as whimsical and fantastic miniature creations. Small children may need a boost in certain areas, and the staff have stools readily available. The museum is clean and easy to explore, and can be gone through as quickly or slowly as you prefer. I have been several times and still find fun new details on each visit. People of any age and from anywhere around the globe can find things to marvel at here!
Emery E — Google review
Very unique and amazing museum with a wide variety of highly impressive and detailed miniatures. They even have a few historical miniatures (as in, miniatures created long ago) dating back as far as the mid-1700s!
Ava D — Google review
This museum is a fun spot to explore with kids, and they ended up happily snapping photos of whatever caught their eye. The place is cute and quirky, with lots of exhibits and a Broadway design section I liked, but it’s probably not something I’d visit again for a deep dive.
Michelle W — Google review
HUGE enjoyment in a MEDIUM sized museum all about TINY things. The displays are very well done - you can see and appreciate the detail. The layout of the museum was really easy to navigate and the price was reasonable. Really enjoyed the exhibit of Broadway sets - but that was a temporary exhibit. If their next temporary exhibit is half as good as this one - you will enjoy that too!

Tohono Chul | Gardens, Galleries, and Bistro

Nature & Parks
Tohono Chul is a compact desert habitat featuring various cacti, a demonstration garden, and art displays. It offers engaging walks and activities for school trips, family outings, or friend gatherings. Visitors can join one of four school tours focusing on ethnobotany, desert digs, clever plants, or diverse pollinators. Alternatively, they can explore the gardens through mobile scavenger hunts or interact with docents to learn about nature and culture connections.
My friend invited me to the Tohono Chul plant sale last weekend. We went on Sunday, so they were sold out of some of the most desired cactus and other plants. They still had a nice selection, and the volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices were also reasonable. The whole experience was a day I won't forget anytime soon! Thank you, Tohono Chul and volunteers, for making me feel so welcome!
Kristi L — Google review
An amazing local park filled with desert flora, and occasional desert fauna as well!! From the towering saguaros to the tiny flowers, there is so much to see at Tohono Chul Park. The metal animal figures throughout the park are eye catching, the winding paths are intriguing and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff is amazing as well! 10/10 recommend visiting this park if you are in the area.
Jonah Q — Google review
Chillin' at Chul was great! There was free admission, good food and drinks and live music. It was much cooler in the gardens than down in the city and we had a great time exploring and just chatting on the porch swings. Bring bug spray or wear long sleeves. The mosquitoes bit us a lot.
Lucy B — Google review
This is one of the first places I take someone who comes in from out of town to visit. “Chillin at Chul” is a beautiful way to spend a Friday or Saturday evening. The music, people, and environment are always great. Lots of little trails and a whole back garden for kids to explore and play around in. “Guitars Under the Stars” is another great event that’s held in the garden bistro and definitely worth checking out. Great food and service. Indoor and outdoor seating for big and small groups. We’ve also attended the seasonal movie showings that Tohono Chul hosts around the holidays. Very fun. Worth checking out, especially if you have children.
Danny T — Google review
Beautiful gardens with all sorts of tranquil and lovely nooks and places to sit. I visited in late October, and it is wonderful now, but I would love to come back in spring when the cacti are blooming- although I saw my first ever October-blooming cactus here, and there are quite a few other flowers blooming. There are some beautiful sculptures throughout the gardens, and wonderful artwork in the museum.
Gretchen M — Google review
Bistro: A visit to the Bistro, before or after the gardens is up to you but you don’t want to pass it up. A fine menu with a variety options, we tried the Vegan Blue Corn Tamales and Prickly Pear Chicken Salad Croissant; both were very fresh and tasty. Gardens: Well played out and accessible.
Douglas L — Google review
First time visiting & didn't get to explore the entirety of the property. Entrance grants access to the children's museum as well. Stroller friendly-ish... paths can get a little rough but are wide enough to navigate. Early morning or late afternoon/evening is highly recommended, unless you love the heat. Lots of wildlife: birds, bugs, lizards on the main paths. Plants for sale, art for sale, water & vending machines available as well as on site restaurant. Plenty of seating areas with pretty views and art exhibitions. We were gifted this entrance fee but need to go again and finish exploring everything we didnt get to see!
TIFFANY N — Google review
A beautiful spot for a walk or wedding! Amazing gardens with plenty to explore. I photographed a wedding here in 2025 and it was so nice to have a private area to have the ceremony, cake cutting, and dances.

Sabino Canyon

Sabino Canyon is a stunning desert canyon located in the Santa Catalina Mountains, offering visitors a tram service to explore its beauty. The area is also home to the Saguaro National Park and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, showcasing diverse desert vegetation. Visitors can stroll along paved paths to admire tall saguaro cacti and a flowing creek, especially beautiful in spring after the monsoon season.
Visitors center has the usual things that Nat’l parks have. Very informative. If you want to take the tram up to the top( 3.7 mi.) you need to get there early and go directly to pick what time you want to goand it costs 15.00 for everyone, no matter what age. The women’s bathroom needs improvement. Run down, some faucets dont work, hand dryer did not work, no soap. But they did have tp! 😊 The toilets werent dirty. Some of the bathroom doors did not close or lock. 😩 By the visitors center they have a table set up with a Javelina hide, fox hide and several animal skulls- that was cool. The visitors center has a few interesting pictures, illustrations and replicas of the Mountain. Dont skip that. They have vending machines, but no resturant or snack bar. I didnt go in there so I dont know what kinds of snacks were there. Im old so I took the ride up. Walked a few trails, then walked down on my own. Bring a frozen water bottle and cold water. Some snacks, or picnic lunch youll appreciate if youre there for 5 hours like me. Day pack is what I used. Dont forget a sun hat, sunglasses and comfortable closed toe shoes. Hand sani and sunscreen are my necessities.
Karen T — Google review
The beginning of the trail is very nice, but after that it is mostly just rocky hills. The Gate Pass and the Finger Rock Trail are way nicer, but those don't have a road and are not as easy, but still not hard. This is good for runners and cyclists.
Victor — Google review
A lovely way to spend an afternoon! Very accessible, decent and sufficient parking (may be worth getting there early to ensure this) and great trails! Also to note - make sure you get a park pass to park without a fine. The shuttle bus runs all day and easy to hop on and on
Adam P — Google review
Such a beautiful canyon to visit! There are many trails and walks that you can take, there’s a bus that will also drop you off and pick you up along the canyon road too. The scenery is stunning and there’s plenty of wildlife and flora and fauna too. We saw a rattle snake on the road so do be careful where you go walking. Take plenty of water on super hot days too. We cooled off in the canyon streams which are great to paddle or swim in. Highly recommend.
The T — Google review
Great Views! We got off on the way down and walked the last two miles. Be careful if you're not used to the heat.
Brent F — Google review
Walk on a paved path that leads you to a breath taking view of a cannon filled with tall saguaro cactus, with a live flowing creek. Best to visit in the spring when weather is tolerable and the end of monsoons have contributed to watering the desert plants and trees to burst into bright colors. Recommended to stay on designated paved paths. Poor cell phone service. Limited parking.
G. C — Google review
Sabino Canyon has some easy hikes to enjoy the saguaros and the desert. The trail to Sabino Dam is nice and short. The temperature near the water is lower in the end of the afternoon and really enjoyable. There is a tram (10$) if you don’t want to hike. Bear canyon trail is my favorite trail and get you to the top of the canyon with some awesome views of Tucson and Thimble peak. You can stop at the seven falls ( around 8 miles out and back) Don’t forget to bring plenty of water!
Caroline L — Google review
One of our favorite places to hike in Tucson. This is also a great place to enjoy to fall foliage. There are usually lots of people around and the parking spot gets packed quickly, so make sure you go no later than 10 am, especially during the weekend. Also, last time we went, the bus service was out of service. Bring plenty of water!

Nestled in the heart of Tucson's historic El Presidio district, the Tucson Museum of Art is a vibrant cultural hub that has been captivating art enthusiasts since its inception in 1924. Originally founded as the Tucson Fine Arts Association, it found its home in the charming Kingan House and was later renamed to reflect its commitment to education and exhibition.
Reciprocal museum membership partner. Wonderful collection of precolumbian art. Lots of Spanish colonial work. Some of the contemporary art is amazing -- some is not, but that's the nature of contemporary art. Check out the attached/adjacent buildings on campus. Highly worth a two hour stop on your trip thru the Tucson area.
TC B — Google review
This is a small but darling art museum, with a few notable classic pieces (a Mary Cassatt!) plus more contemporary art - photography, abstractions, Native American exhibits. A really lovely museum that’s definitely worth a visit.
Adaminbal — Google review
The Momentos exhibit was really nice, but I found myself taking more pics of the downstairs exhibits since they fit my taste more. The little guide with conversation cards was a fun touch and made us think more about the art. It’s a great spot for a date night, has an awesome gift shop, and is a cool, relaxing place to enjoy art during the summer.
Sophia R — Google review
I had a great time at this summer event and found it very enjoyable. The rotating exhibits were especially educational, and the guided tour with its reflective questions about the artists and their work added depth to the experience. I recommend it as a refreshing escape from the heat and a chance to meet new people.
Aaron B — Google review
Beautiful building with ice cold AC and a diverse collection of art. The Christian blood cult section was illuminating, for sure. We spent a little over an hour and were able to see the whole museum. 5/5 stars.

Many interesting exhibits that change occasionally great place to take visitors to town Good place to go for a evening date the only disadvantages the parking can be difficult

I was a member of a group and had a wonderful tour. I'll return in the future. A store is included and a restaurant where we enjoyed lunch, drinks and desserts.
Robin H — Google review
Beautiful little museum that contains many varieties of art and art forms. It is laid out in a wide spiral staircase, with each floor displaying different art forms. When you enter, they give you a little map and suggestions for best routes to follow. But you really don't need that as you get the hang of it pretty quickly. A very modern, clean building that is user-friendly. We did the entire museum in about 2 hours or so. Recommended

The museum also hosts woodworking workshops on the fourth Saturday of every month.
The Children's Museum in Tuscon has many interactive and educational rooms for kids to play and be creative in. Even on the outside of the Museum. You could be there for hours and the kids could never get bored. It's even entertaining enough for the adults. We love visiting. I paid less than $20 on a Monday to enter.

This is a wonderful place for young learning and entertainment. We had a lot of fun exploring the exhibits and seeing what there was to learn. The staff was very helpful. I will definitely make this a regular on the visiting rotation

This was my first time, and I went with my daughter, granddaughter, great nephew and we had so much fun. It's a great place for all ages. My great nephew has autism and he really enjoyed it as well. I'll definitely be going back sometime!! Fun fun fun!!!!

Took my 10 year old nephew here because we had culture passes. Although this museum is for younger children, he still had a great time! He really enjoyed the science room and took the time to read / learn about displays he was interested in. We thought we’d spend only an hour here but ended up staying for 2+ hrs. There’s also a room to build / paint and we spent some time there too. Very fun, interactive, and clean. Staff was working diligently to clean up after little ones and inspecting each room. We even played outside for a bit because they have a shaded music garden and bubble area. Super cool! We loved our visit here

I visited the Children's Museum Tucson in a professional capacity to set up a laser light show, and I was thoroughly impressed! The museum is vibrant, engaging, and packed with interactive exhibits that kids clearly love. The staff was professional, organized, and a pleasure to work with, making my job seamless. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and designed to spark creativity in young minds. I highly recommend this gem for families and anyone looking for a fun, educational experience in Tucson!

Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, located in the Coronado National Forest near Tucson, offers a picturesque desert landscape with hiking trails and tram rides through rocky gorges and canyons. Despite being close to the city, it provides an immediate escape into nature, with the Catalina Mountains as a stunning backdrop. Visitors can hop on and off the tram at various stops to access trailheads, pools, and picnic areas. The area also features a small but informative museum within Coronado National Forest limits.
Perfect location for early morning hikes or evenings though the trails can be rough. Walking on the paved road is best for older people and families. The views of the canyon are amazing.

Beautiful place with lots of access to the desert landscape. Nice trails with water features when there is some to be had. These pictures are from above at the thimble peak looking back at Sabino Canyon below, Bear canyon and Blacketts Ridge. Three killer hiking areas of Sabino Canyon recreation area.

A very easy stroll through the beautiful Tucson desert! Saguaro as far as the eye can see, and some great wildlife sightings! The side trails take you to some nice little splash pools during the right time of year. I just ran into a family of 10 Coatimundi playing yesterday. Really cool experience.

Such a beautiful visit through the canyon. So much to see from the sagurao to the beautiful bolders and everything in between. Highly recommend taking the tram tour, very informative ❤️🌵🌄

The restaurant's commitment to sustainability and fair treatment of employees makes it worth visiting not only for its delicious food but also to support its values.
I have been travelling around the US for 2 weeks and eaten at a lot of restaurants. I came here for breakfast. The huevos rancheros was by far the best meal I've eaten in the States. I came back for dinner and the hamburger was also superb. I ordered the Beats and Avacado as a side. Again, spectacular. Glad I came to Tucson

From the moment you arrive, you can feel the positive vibe from the entire staff. They’re super friendly and welcoming. As soon as you sit down, they walk you through the menu — they tell you about the house specialties, the dish of the day, and what’s been the most popular breakfast item that week. You can tell they truly know and have tasted what they’re recommending. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast. The menu is minimalistic, but every dish is crafted with incredible attention to detail and quality. The place is very clean, peaceful, and has a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. They also have an outdoor seating area with little tables and chairs — perfect for enjoying a coffee outside. One thing I really appreciated was how the team’s passion shines through. They’re not just reading the menu to you — they genuinely care about what they’re serving, and you can feel it. On this visit, I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict. The presentation was impeccable: it came with a fresh salad dressed with a house-made balsamic vinaigrette, a delicious potato cake with mustard seeds, and the main event — two perfectly poached eggs on a house-made bread (light, airy, and perfectly baked), topped with a rich, creamy hollandaise sauce and high-quality smoked salmon. Everything was beautifully balanced in flavor and texture. The coffee was excellent too, and the service was quick without ever feeling rushed. It’s an ideal spot for a relaxed breakfast, whether you’re with a partner or family. Without a doubt, highly recommended — not just for the food, but for the whole experience.

This is a must go to spot while my wife and I are in town. If you only have time for one visit go with the juevos rancheros and add the pork. It is amazing. My daughter and I both had pancakes which were tasty and filling. Plus they have adult beverages which added a nice touch.

This was a great spot for breakfast/brunch in Tucson. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive from the first greeting at the host/hostess stand and throughout the breakfast service. There was no wait when we arrived late morning on a Saturday. The coffees were excellent - a Vanilla latte with housemade syrup and a matcha. The banana bread was outstanding, warm and chocolatey; a great complement to the warm beverages. The Smoked Salmon Benedict on a English Muffin and the Huevos Rancheros with pork shoulder were both outstanding. Excellent flavors, nice portions, affordably priced. The pancakes on the adjacent tables were impressively. This is a great spot for a relaxed, casual breakfast/brunch, excellent food, cozy dining environment, friendly staff.
Ryan W — Google review
It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but I still remember how amazing the kouign-amman was. The crust was balancing the slight saltiness of rosemary cream filling perfectly, it was nothing like I’ve ever eaten. This pastry would be the reason I would return. As for brunch, I found the Eggs Benedict portion quite small (especially considering the price). Overall it’s a nice little place in Barrio Viejo.

I am a huge foodie and from CA where we have a plethora of delicious organic culinary experiences. This place had the best burger and steak I’ve ever had, oh my goodness they were to die for. Customer service was excellent and loved the paintings they had up for sale. Was a pleasant surprise and relief to eat here because most other restaurants in Tucson do not have fresh food. Will def be back and eat here several days in a row next time to try their entire menu!
Gracie C — Google review
We had pretty high expectations for this place for being out of towners - saw it on many travel blogs and posts so thought it would leave us feeling satisfied. The food itself was pretty good, but not as flavorful as expected and the location/place itself was also a bit disappointing. Staff was friendly and attentive.

If you’re looking for a spot that embodies the perfect blend of delicious food and laid-back ambiance, look no further than Five Points Market & Restaurant. My recent visit was nothing short of delightful, starting with the star of the meal—a burger that was nothing short of spectacular. The burger was expertly crafted with in-house made brioche buns that were soft yet sturdy enough to hold the juicy patty and fresh toppings. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the correctly prepared fries. These fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and when dipped in the burger sauce, they reached a whole new level of amazing. It’s the kind of combination that keeps you coming back for more. To wash it all down, I ordered a Tom Collins cocktail that was made to perfection. Refreshing with just the right balance of sweetness and citrus, it paired beautifully with my meal and added to the overall experience. The ambiance at Five Points is incredibly chill, making it a great place to unwind after a long day. The inviting decor, coupled with a large selection of wine on the shelf, creates a welcoming atmosphere that encourages you to linger a little longer. Plus, if you're looking to take a piece of the experience home, they offer some great merchandise like hats and t-shirts that make for perfect souvenirs. Overall, Five Points Market & Restaurant successfully combines fantastic food, a relaxed vibe, and excellent drink options. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone in search of a great burger experience. I will definitely be back for more!

Since its opening in 2012, it has been known for offering handcrafted artisan-style pizza, salads, antipasti, fresh baked sandwiches, and handmade pastas. The restaurant is popular for its extensive drink selection including 20 craft beers, eight draft wines, and signature cocktails.
A jewel in the heart of Tucson! We had an amazing experience at Reilly Craft Pizza and Drink. The food was delicious, with authentic flavors and an impeccable presentation. The handmade pizzas are spectacular, and the atmosphere of the place is modern and cozy, perfect for a date or an outing with friends. Of course, we recommend that you make a reservation in advance, since the wait can be more than 2 hours, especially on weekends. It's totally worth the wait, but it's better to avoid it! We will definitely return. A must-see in Tucson if you love good pizza and well-prepared cocktails! 🍕🍸

Interesting flavors. Reasonable price for a bottle of Italian wine. We sat out back, which was much quieter than inside. We were a bit surprised by the amount of self-service. Portions were good. We enjoyed our visit to this re-purposed mortuary, the oldest in Tucson.
Brian L — Google review
A solid spot for pasta and wine, though some dishes were disappointing. Visiting as walk-ins on a Sunday evening, we were told there would be a 20-30 minute wait, but we could sit at the bar and order drinks while we wait for a table. We accepted and enjoyed a glass of Pinot Grigio at the bar. Soon after, we were seated at a nearby table where a friendly server took our orders. We started with brussels sprouts as an appetizer, which unfortunately arrived overly burnt and excessively oily, making the flavors overwhelming and unenjoyable (3/10). For mains, we chose the vodka rigatoni and a classic pepperoni pizza. The rigatoni was excellent and the highlight of the meal (8/10). However, the pepperoni pizza was greasy, oily, and overall nothing special (5/10). The service, although friendly, felt somewhat distant as we rarely saw our server for the rest of the evening. Prices were about average, but aside from the enjoyable wine and pasta, the pizza and brussels sprouts left much to be desired and overall a disappointment.

Was in town for the weekend on work and was craving some pasta. Came here and was greeted by some friendly staff including Sadie and enjoyed a very delicious espresso martini. I ordered the rigatoni and had a great time in this very cozy restaurant!

I went at 17:00 and booked a table. I gets very busy. The Simple salad was a mix of salad leaves with a dressing. It was huge. Enough for two people. Pizzas were thin crust so that was just right.

This is a go-to place for my husband and I. It’s an excellent date night place. The food is always delicious and I feel well priced. Some of my personal favorites are the Brussels, roasted cauliflower and for a cocktail, the iron horse old fashioned. Yum! I haven’t gotten the chance to enjoy the garden they have outside but the speak easy down stairs is another fun stop. They have some fun cocktails.

⭐☆☆☆☆ We were a party of three grabbing dinner before a show. The evening started fine — greeted by three hostesses, seated quickly, and served by a friendly waiter who seemed to be training another. Then came the strangest part of the night: a hostess returned to confiscate our half-drunk can of water that she’d already approved when we arrived. Yes, a can of plain water — not alcohol, not outside food. Just water. The restaurant provides water on every table, so the decision to take ours felt petty, unnecessary, and frankly demeaning. Technically, under Arizona law (A.R.S. §13-1802), taking something someone already possesses without real consent could even qualify as theft — a weird precedent to set over forty-five cents’ worth of hydration. The menu was limited, overpriced, and by that point, the atmosphere went from classy to smug. We decided to leave and spend our $150 elsewhere. If you’re looking for a place that values basic respect over arbitrary rules, this isn’t it.

The Parish is a charming gathering place in Tucson that offers a delightful blend of Southern-style dishes and an extensive drink menu, all set amidst local art. The restaurant takes pride in serving up comforting flavors of Southern cuisine, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for diners.
I had the catfish and chips. It was amazing! My friend had the gumbo I tried it it was great. They hands down have the best hush puppies I've ever had in my life. I really don't think I've had a hush puppy until visiting here cuz it was different and amazing. The service was amazing in the atmosphere is incredible. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for genuine Cajun Creole food!
David M — Google review
I had mixed feelings about my experience at The Parish. The food was definitely the highlight — everything I ordered was flavorful and well-prepared. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in the dishes they serve. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. Our server wasn’t very attentive — we waited quite a while to get her attention multiple times throughout the meal. It felt like we were forgotten at points, which took away from the overall experience. The atmosphere was okay — nothing particularly memorable, but not unpleasant either. With some improvements in service and a little more energy in the dining space, this place could be a solid go-to.

Great food, I got the parish burger, if you like red onions its a great burger. My dads steak and frites were the highlight of the table, super tender and juicy and fries were fluffy and crunchy. The Smoked chicken and waffles were great as well. Very nice environment, we could all talk without any issues. Very much recommend for a family or even a big party

Our server was super attentive and everybody loved their food. The blueberry sauce with the brussels sprouts was exquisite. My salad alone was incredible with their garlic dressing. The plate was so vibrant. Our other guests loved their rice and beans. It was exactly what they wanted.

Had an amazing experience! The food was amazing! Great atmosphere. We had a private party & utilized the section in the back. Such a fun place with the decor authentic to NOLA. We had amazing service. Raymond was great!! Definitely recommend & we will be back!

As someone born in New Orleans, I can promise that The Parish is one of the best restaurants in Tucson for scratch-made, Southern-inspired food with a bold Cajun twist! This locally-owned gastropub delivers on flavor, atmosphere, and cocktails. The drinks were impressive. The Sister Lost Soul (Tucson’s 2024 City of Gastronomy Cocktail of the Year) was smooth and layered, while the Mrs. KC Mule, made with house-infused strawberry basil vodka, elderflower, and ginger beer— was refreshing and bright. We started with the Black & Blue Brussel sprouts, which had a great kick from the seasoning and blueberry hot sauce—crispy, smoky, and addictive. The Cast Iron Cornbread was fresh from the oven, perfectly crunchy on the outside with cinnamon and honey shining through, served with sweet bourbon butter. The Gumbo was hearty and deeply satisfying and the added Crawfish perfectly cooked. And the Drunken Angel pasta—Burgundy angel hair with shrimp, crawfish, lobster broth, saffron cream, and parmesan—was absolutely fantastic! For dessert, the bread pudding was warm, rich, and decadent—the perfect to end to a Louisiana meal. Our server Shawn was wonderful - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. My water glass was never empty. The Parish nails it with eclectic vibe, warm service, and unforgettable food. If you’re searching for where to eat in Tucson, this is it! Highly recommend!

I can definitely see why you need reservations for this place! Even at 5pm when it opens, it’s already moderately busy. Prices are reasonable. Drinks are fantastic. Loved the summer spritzer. It’s so refreshing and light. The appetizers were great. The cheese fondue with mushroom is so good and so flavorful! The radicchio salad has the perfect dressing and texture. The shredded snow peas add so much freshness and flavor, I love it! Steak skewers would probably taste better medium rare but it is still very good. The entree pollo asado and pork chops were phenomenal. The meat was lean and the sauces were very well made. The decor is cute and service was amazing. Will come back again.

I came here with a craving for olive oil cake — and let me tell you, this place exceeded all expectations from start to finish. The entire meal was outstanding. From the vibrant cocktails and fresh, herb-loaded salad to perfectly grilled fish, juicy chicken, and flavorful beef skewers, every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated. The ingredients were clearly fresh and high quality, and the flavors were bold, balanced, and memorable. And that olive oil cake? Absolutely divine — moist, fragrant, topped with crushed pistachios and cherries, and paired with a luscious scoop of cream. It was everything I hoped for and more. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you’re in Tucson and looking for a culinary experience that delivers on flavor, presentation, and service — Tito & Pep should be at the top of your list.

Best service we have experienced in years. The food was impeccable. Every item on the plate was carefully prepared to add to each dish. The cocktails are carefully crafted and they were kind enough to make adjustments without any hesitation. The Red Snapper was the best I have ever enjoyed, from Mexico to Florida. The olive oil cake was the perfect ending to the best dinner we've enjoyed in a long, long time.

Tito & Pep was a standout from start to finish. The menu offered a vibrant range of bold, flavorful dishes—each one crafted with care and served in generous portions, despite the tapas-style format. The variety made it easy to share and explore, and every plate delivered. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, and the overall experience felt thoughtfully curated. This spot is absolutely worth your time—but be sure to make a reservation, as it fills up fast.

Came twice over a couple of months and Tito and Pep stood out as the best dining experience during my time in Tucson. Alex was our server on both occasions and he is an outstanding guide to the dining experience, providing great recommendations and demonstrating a clear mastery of the menu. On the first visit, we shared the Hamachi Aguachile and Squash salad and then the Pork Chop and Striped Bass. Every dish was excellent, perfectly prepared with delightful combinations of flavors and textures that elevated the complexity of the dish. The Sonoran flavors and woodfired grill were showcased across the meats. The chocolate Ganache was a great uniquely presented dessert that was also delicious. On the second visit, we shared the steak skewers, octopus and beet salad, then each had the New York Strip and then finished with the Olive Oil Cake and Panna Cotta. Again, every dish was excellent, full of unique flavors and perfectly prepared. The desserts were outstanding. The restaurant is a beautiful space with plants around the space, often dividing the dining spaces, while feeling airy and open. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is on point. Great cocktails with creative mixology and an affordable wine list. You will likely need a reservation, but if you are in Tucson, I highly recommend Tito & Pep.
Ryan W — Google review
The service here was fantastic. They accommodated our 20 person group with a one day warning. The staff recognized one of our members that came a few days before. The Jamaica lemonade was too sour for my taste (and not sweet enough to balance that sourness). The queso fundido was very greasy and heavy, but if you share it and just eat one taco, it was pretty good. The cheesy is nice and crisped against the pan, with lots of mushrooms and a tiny bit of stewed beef chunks. The hamachi special was fantastic. It had like a cantaloupe sauce served with the slices of fish, and together, they were fantastic. The steak skewers were a little bit mixed -- some chunks had a nice heavy char, while others were cooked but not really charred. The parmesan cheese worked surprisingly well with it, and the sauce was good with it, though a little salty. The cucumber salad special wasn't my thing. There was a crudo or tartare that they brought out by accident, and it looked fantastic. I now wish I had gotten that, haha. There was a charred octopus that was lacking that springy chewiness I enjoy from octopus tentacles. Theirs was tender, which I can understand that others may like more. Eaten together with the cherry tomatoes and avocado with a squirt of lime is the best way! Me and three companions did not like the pozole, but one of our companions liked it. It didn't really taste yummy or special to me. The striped sea bass was okay. It was cooked well, with a nice crispiness to the skin with tender fillet meat, but the sauce was way too salty, and without the sauce, it was plain. The mushrooms were way too salty. I liked the crispy things on top, but if you ordered this as an entree, it would just be a salt overload. I unfortunately can't recommend this dish. The chicken was okay. The sauce it was served with was good. I like the creamed corn thing and Swiss chard served with it. The Panna Cotta dessert was amazing. It's got like a greek yogurt flavor, but it's very smooth and silky. It's served with a sour and sweet passionfruit sauce that's fantastic when eaten with all of the desserts. The chocolate and cream ganache was interesting. It was a very dark chocolate with semi sweetness. By itself, I wouldn't have liked it much, but if you dip it in the passionfruit sauce served with the Panna cotta, then it has a nice balance of heavy, dark, flavors with the intensely sour and sweet passionfruit. The olive oil orange cake was okay. It did have a heavy orange zesty flavor, but it just didn't really hit the spot for me. Overall, the flavors and service here were solid, and they had the best food of the limited foods I've tried in my Tucson trip.

The restaurant prides itself on flying in seafood daily from both coasts, ensuring the highest sustainability rating. The menu features inventive and classic dishes like Grilled Sea Bass with crispy pork belly and spicy stone fruit chutney.
Lamb was delicious, had a char, and was fall-off-the-bone. Each bite was great. Greens were cooked down and the couscous was the perfect addition to the lamb. Ribs were thick, meaty, and sweet. Clam chowder tasted like new England clam chowder. Chowder was very generous with the amount of clams. There was a clam in every spoonful. I highly recommend this place if you want a delicious meal with great service.

I was told this was the best fish in Tuscon, and I wasn't disappointed! Delicious seafood options with seasonal menus to keep up a variety of offerings in addition to their main selection. Now, I don't know if this place uses the words "fine dining" in its marketing, but if they did it wouldn't be far off the mark. The service was like that of fine dining restaurants I've visited - highly attentive, respectful, non-invasive, well-informed servers. Hats off to the staff, I was treated like a queen. Now, because I'm an honest reviewer: The main thing that would give me pause on calling it a fine dining experience (as opposed to simply a high quality seafood restaurant) was the atmosphere. The lighting was high, the walls were vibrant blue (with some plain brick walls), and there wasn't much of a dress code (for patrons). And, maybe it's just preference, but the overall internal design sense felt plain. Great for a date. Probably great for a business outing. Maybe not the choice if you're looking for fully immersive fine dining, but ABSOLUTELY the choice if you just want delicious fish and excellent service to give you a stellar lunch or dinner.

What a great place for dinner. My Wife had the lobster roll and I am not the big seafood person so I had the Bacon Burger. She said it was fantastic and fresh. My burger was good too. The side of sweet potato chips were so good. Yes, it’s a little pricy, and good food always does.

Everything was amazing! We started with a caesar and a wedge salad which were both delicious. Then we had the steak, the lamb, the paella and the lobster roll. I would recommend any and all of these! The cheesecake was delectable and even the drinks were great/well poured (lemon drop and old fashioned). I can't wait to come back and try everything else!

This was a very good lunch for us. Their selection of seafood is really good. All of my oysters that I have were really good! My wife had salmon and she really liked it also. The service was good. The only negative thing I have to give about this place Is that the interior looked tired. I would come back.

The restaurant is known for its delectable Chinese food served in a fast-casual environment. It's popular among international students craving flavors from home and locals looking for authentic Asian cuisine. Absolutely amazing. My sibling took me here and every bite was like heaven. There was a line, and the associates up front were efficient. I chose from the gluten free options of a soup with crispy pork belly and a side of rice. They bring it to you steaming, and every bite is better than the next. The peanuts complimented the dish beautifully, and I tried the tofu as well (the best tofu I’ve ever had). I also got a lemon honey drink, and it was so delicious. They come around to see how everything is, which is a nice touch. I will add this restaurant to my repertoire, I love them!

Great neighborhood spot. It’s a small, local business serving up delicious dishes. I enjoyed the spicy chicken wings and the iced honey lemon drink. Each one of the noodle dishes was so flavor and made with fresh ingredients. It’s a must check out if you’re in Tucson.

Great bowl of Al Dente hand pulled noodles . I recommend getting a bowl of hand pulled noodles and order an extra serving of noodles for $3.00. The serving is enough to serve two people, imo. I can never get enough hand pulled noodles. When I’m in Asia, hand pulled noodles is a norm. Great stuff!
Ed J — Google review
I’ve had this dish before and it was never like this. Last time I ordered through Uber Eats it was already full of bones, but I gave it another chance. Unfortunately, it’s the same again — almost all bones, and the little meat there was was just thin slices, no drumstick, nothing like the photo on Uber Eats. Completely not recommended. Never coming back and I’ll tell my friends to stay away. Extremely disappointing.

We came here like 5 years ago, and I didn't care too much for it. I don't think I ordered the right thing. Today, we came back to give it another try, and I'm glad we did. The girl who helped us was very helpful and answered our questions. She even gave suggestions. Great service! I got the Guilin noodles and asked for it to be extra spicy, and it was hot! Just the way I like it 👌🏾 The broth was very good! My kids got the house wonton, and they were so happy with it too. We highly recommend this place!

The Taiwan beef noodles were so flavorful and the portions were very generous, highly recommend. Was pleasantly surprised but how good the HK milk tea was and will be ordering it again. Enjoyed the crab puffs and chaosiu dumplings.
Kristina S — Google review
This place is amazing! We have gone a couple times now and have been very pleased each time! They have great portions of very good food for great prices. Their ramen is very good and everything tastes fresh. Their crab puffs are very good and the dumplings were yummy too! I always get the chicken noodle and it tastes very good! Their portions are great so I always take some home and they provide very great containers. I love the free water they provide and all sorts of utensils to use. They keep it very clean and inviting! Highly recommend!

Tumerico

Mexican restaurant
Tumerico is a vibrant and inviting restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with its array of vegan and vegetarian Mexican dishes. The menu, entirely vegan and organic, features a variety of traditional Mexican flavors incorporated into plant-based tacos, enchiladas, tamales, and burritos made from fresh seasonal ingredients. Even non-vegan diners have raved about the Cuban jackfruit carnitas tacos and Ropa Vieja Plate.
10/10 experience. Immediately greeted by Miranda, who has an exceptional attitude and smile. The food came out within five minutes which is wild considering it was made to order, and it was delicious. It felt good to be there and enjoy the food. Definitely will be returning!
Kayla B — Google review
My beautiful friend and I thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful, fresh and delicious lunch earlier today. We both loved our Ropa Vieja plates paired with our iced Prickly Pear lattes, as well as chips and salsa. Fernando, Wendy & the entire staff are incredibly generous, exceptional, warm, attentive and inviting. The decor was wonderful as well and the products and salsa bar are well maintained and look so tasty. We look forwarding to returning in the near future.
Michael P — Google review
The food was great, but my biggest complaint was on their special that featured cactus as apart of the main dish. Super enticing, so I said why not. First impressions when the dish was brought out, was that I should have bought two... I knew it wasn't going to fill me up. And go figure, it was $17 for the main course alone. I also bought chips and salsa which you can't typically mess up, but the salsa was like water, and the chips were way to thick and oily to scoop up the salsa. I felt like I was trying to eat soup with a fork. The dessert was perfect, no complaints there, but the main dish needed to be more full, and they need to add some viscosity to their water salsa. Flavor-wise, delicious. The paprika was a stout seasoning, and made the flavor a solid 10. The flavor of the salsa was mild, but greatly enhanced when you added salt, but the chips were too thick like crackers, and very oily. Id love to give it a round two and see if I have a better experience next time. The dishes customers had around me looked much fuller than mine. I was able to eat 100% of everything but still didn't feel full. (Forgot to take a picture of the main dish, sorry)

Tumerico – Tucson’s Vegan Gem (5/5 Stars) Tumerico is hands-down my favorite restaurant in all of Tucson, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s a must-visit. Owner Wendy is incredibly warm and friendly, and her entire staff follows suit—always helpful, attentive, and eager to make your experience perfect. What sets Tumerico apart is its vegan menu that never feels limited. The daily-changing specials keep things exciting, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients that burst with flavor. The in-house salsa bar is a highlight—each salsa is vibrant, perfectly balanced, and made with ingredients at their peak. The food is simply out-of-this-world delicious. Every dish is thoughtful, creative, and satisfying in a way that even non-vegans rave about. But it’s not just the food—Wendy has crafted an inviting, joyful atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. If you’re in Tucson, do yourself a favor and go to Tumerico. You’ll leave happy, full, and already planning your next visit.

This is one of my absolute favorite places in Tucson! As a long time vegetarian this was a great comfort restaurant to enjoy when I wanted to eat out! Everyone is always so friendly and there isn’t a wrong choice on the menu! The serving sizes are amazing and the drinks are always fresh/high quality. I recommend trying their specials, they’re always 10/10!

This restaurant is the best vegan Mexican food I have ever had. I loved that it wasn’t greasy and fried. We were welcomed immediately into the space and the menu was explained to us. I wish we could have this type of food in Minnesota! We ordered the nachos and tostadas. We also got the turmeric lemonade. It was delicious! When we got home I went onto the website and watched the interview about the chef and owner. It was so inspiring and beautiful. Congratulations on all of your hard work. It really shows!
Erica R — Google review
Tumerico has been voted the #1 vegan restaurant in the U.S.—and after eating here, wow, we completely understand why! From the moment we walked in, the energy was warm, vibrant, and welcoming. Every dish that came out of the kitchen felt like it was made with love and creativity. We ordered the Sonoran Barbacoa, Machaca Plate, Posole Soup, a Sampler Plate with Al Pastor & Cuban Tacos and a Frida Kahlo Tostada. We also tried the and the Mesquite Mole Enchiladas. Each plate was bursting with bold, fresh flavors and beautiful presentation and came with a side salad, fresh guacamole, beans and Cilantro Rice. All were FANTASTIC and over the top DELICIOUS!! To sip, we tried the Elderberry Lemonade and Creosote Lemonade—both refreshing, unique, and the perfect complement to the meal. The flavors are bold, fresh, and rooted in local inspiration. You won’t find cookie-cutter vegan here—every plate is inventive and scratch-made. There was plenty of seating and the walls were decorated with local art and murals! Tumerico’s story is as inspiring as its menu—it all started with the owner selling her beloved vegan tamales out of a cooler, and today the restaurant has grown into a national destination. Portions are generous, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff clearly care about making your experience memorable. Whether you’re vegan or not, this is the kind of food that makes you excited to eat plant-based. Tumerico is a Tucson treasure and absolutely worth the hype. We’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant has a serious reputation now...it's not cheap, but it's a good treat for yourself. You deserve it! You order, pay, and take a number to your table of choice. You'll find a collection of clean forks on the table. There's a self service salsa bar and ice water is also nearby the salsa. Don't miss out on the house speciality beverage. The prickly pear latte. You won't get one of these in Chicago or Minneapolis. This restaurant has been voted the best restaurant in the US 2x in a row. Both 2023&2024. Will they continue to be queen of the yelpers? Only time will tell. At the end of the meal you bus your own table. Im hoping to meet the owner in person one of these visits. Her passion for her roots, her culture, and her ability to provide good healthy vegan and vegetarian food that tastes magnificent, are inspirational. If I have not mentioned it yet, no meat at this location carnivores! But across town there is another place owned by Wendy Garcia, LA chaiteria a place with both meat and vegetarian options.

KUKAI is a cozy dining spot located in the MSA Annex in Tucson, offering a variety of Japanese dishes such as ramen, rolls, rice bowls, curries, and rice balls. The menu features authentic flavors like Umeboshi and Unagi, along with popular Japanese favorites like takoyaki and karaage. The outdoor seating area provides a delightful setting to enjoy the carefully crafted dishes prepared by chef Michael McCormack.
Love their menu! Simple but full of delicious apps and noodles. I am a big fan of the onigiri (rice balls). They’re made fresh and well seasoned. Can’t wait to come back to try more of their dishes.
Angel H — Google review
Some of my favorite Japanese food in Tucson!! I love the takoyaki and hand rolls but I've never had anything I didn't love. They have a vegan ramen option which I also appreciate, as well as some vegan onigiri (and probably other stuff)!
Sarina — Google review
My favorite place in Tuscon! Coming from NY, I was thrilled to find a sushi spot that I come to every week. The food is incredible every time I go- I get Mt Fugi Don, the dumplings and the pork ramen which is by far the best I have ever had hands down (especially the ramen). My boyfriend gets the spicy crunch roll which he loves as well. We met the owner a couple of times and he is very welcoming. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, truly a gem.
Hope H — Google review
Always have to get food at Kukai when we're at the Annex around dinnertime. Their rice bowls (specifically gyūdon, Kukai don, and Mt. Fuji don) and their black garlic ramen and curry ramen are some of my favorites. Excellent sushi as well.
Jon L — Google review
I love the complex, with cute boutiques, fire pits and a beer bar. Got karage and meitaigo ramen from Kukai, the fried chicken are a bit too small for me. The ramen is great tho :) Its also amazing that you can eat the ramen at the beer bar near the fireplace !
Evelyn F — Google review
Highly recommend!! Staff were super friendly. Ambiance was nice. Ramen broth was super flavorful. Pork was not too fatty and had good texture. Egg was perfectly cooked. Noodles were nice and chewy. Will be dreaming of this dish! Can’t wait to go back.
Barb P — Google review
Kukai was absolutely delicious!! I had the sushi with salmon and eel sauce on top with ramen and my friend had the katsu chicken curry. The sushi was soooo good and the salmon was fresh, the broth for the ramen was top notch! Seriously, on of the best I have had. Both of us really enjoyed our meals!

Came here for lunch a while ago and I enjoyed all the food that I ordered. I highly recommend this place if you’re ever at the Annex. Ordered: chicken karaage, pork belly onigiri, and gyu don!

Seis Kitchen is a popular spot in Tucson, known for its delicious Mexican street food. Located in the Mercado San Agustin, it offers a variety of classic Mexican dishes such as tacos with handmade tortillas and flavorful salsa. The restaurant is part of the renowned 'Best 23 Miles of Mexican Food' adventure, which takes visitors on a tour of beloved eateries in the area.
Delicious! I haven't been here in several years. The area has been overtaken by hipsters, so I was honestly a little worried that the authenticity or serving sizes or prices may have been affected. It was very busy, but the line moved quickly. The food was fresh and delicious, and serving sizes were generous. We had a mix of vegetarians and omnivores in our group, and everyone loved their meal.
Nicole T — Google review
By the time we placed our order to the time we were served there was maybe a 5 to 7 minute wait. The food was amazing. Big portions. We had the crispy fish tacos and a large plate of nachos. (Don't underestimate the nachos)

There is nothing better than sitting outside and enjoying excellent Mexican food. Tree-lined patio with many outside tables. I totally enjoyed fish tacos with Garden Salad. It's a popular place, so go early. By the way, they have great ice tea.

Tucson has some great Mexican food but this is one of the best! We both had a burrito and it was awesome. The chicken is amazing.
David F — Google review
I wanted to like this place as a lot locals came in here for breakfast. It has won awards in the past. I ordered the house speciality breakfast burrito. It was just ok fairly bland even with the salsa. The horchata was solid. Also there was a fly problem. When I asked about it I was told it's pretty rare. Also seems many of the chairs are damaged at the exact same spot. I didn't want to get pinched by sitting down. Also unpaved free parking lot in the back.
Wa W — Google review
The two types of salsa they provided with the chips was the best I have ever had! I had the burrito enchilada style and it was excellent. I am just in Tucson for a short visit so definitely will go back before I leave and when I am back in town.

Good food, good portions, lovely atmosphere, and don't mind the pigeons, they're friendly and don't bother you. Tried the chicken tinga tacos, the corn tortillas could have been a bit more toasted but overall tasted good! Cherry on top, the chips and salsa (included with our dine in)

Good stuff!! The staff were all friendly & helpful, the food was very tasty and the patio setting was a great addition for a nice evening meal. One of our family has major Gluten allergies, the staff was great on letting us know what is and isn't Gluten Free. We'll be back. 🖤

Coronet Restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring sustainably-sourced meats and fresh, local, and organic ingredients when possible. The restaurant boasts a stylish space with live music in the stunning courtyard. Their wine selection includes many organic, biodynamic, and sustainably-sourced options. Housed in a historic territorial adobe landmark on Cushing Street, it provides classic sensibility meets international cuisine with an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables.
This is a patio only cafe. There is a small room with tables. So rainy days may not work Granola is tasty and the latte is also very good. We also had a waffle with berries that was devoured! The service folks were accommodating and friendly. We would return.
T D — Google review
What a delightful way to end our stay in Tucson. The welcoming entrance made us feel like we were in for something special. The main area has lots of wood with a well-stocked bar on the right. However, the outside patio is very light and airy, with an archway with live plants. Don't be intimated by the names of the foods on the menu. That is their signature and a way for their knowledgeable staff to interact with you. The food is excellent and beautifully served.
Kathy C — Google review
*A favorite outdoor coffee/breakfast spot - I’ve only visited the cafe, not the restaurant* This little cafe is one of my favorite spots to sit outside with a friend for a breakfast treat. Really the outdoor seating is the highlight here. I love sitting under the shade of the old olive tree and it’s so refreshing when they turn on the misters. It’s also a treat to see the quality locally made goods they curate for sale. It’s very thoughtfully picked and they have exquisite taste that doesn’t feel at all intrusive. The location is also perfect for grabbing a refreshing drink, then walking around the historic neighborhood to see the shops and art galleries. It’s a wonderful way to spend a chill day walking around Tucson. The food is decent with high-quality ingredients, but not memorable (I possibly have higher standards coming from Portland). In my opinion, it’s highly priced for the quantity and quality of what they deliver, so, while I appreciate the space, I’ve chosen not to order meals here anymore and stick to just coffee and a breakfast sandwich if it’s available. Their baked goods always look delicious, but all three times I’ve tried them, they’ve been dry and disappointing. Overall, I still love this little place for the atmosphere and find it to be one of the most enjoyable cafes to sit outside with a friend. I do wish the prices were more reasonable and the food/baked goods were good enough to keep me dreaming of my next visit.
Briena S — Google review
One of the first restaurants I visited during an extended stay in the Tucson area. Coronet offers a upscale, but relaxed dining environment (looks like the patio is a great option in the cooler months as well). Great cocktail program. The food was all excellent, we had the Shrimp Panisse and Oaxacan White Mole, both were great dishes representing the Southwestern dining cuisine. The Oaxacan White Mole stood out for the mole sauce that accented the mushrooms, great dish! The NY Strip and Seared Salmon were both excellent entrees. The Pot du Creme was a fantastic way to finish the meal. Nightjar is a great spot to grab a drink with friends with a creative cocktail program.

Amazing experience from beginning to end. We ordered six dishes, and none of them were a miss. I think you probably can't go wrong with anything here. I am excited to keep an eye on their changing menu and visit again in the future.

Came here for two different dinner specials, Christmas Eve and New Year’s dinner. The service is fantastic. The food is over the top. We enjoyed everything we ordered from the beginning of the meal to the end. We will be back!

My foodie friend highly regards the Coronet Cafe. I had their breakfast waffle which was great while my friend has two poached eggs on a breakfast dish of veggies. An amazing architectural setting with many unique spaces for dining. Perfect for sitting outside and enjoying your meal.

Tucson International Airport

Airport
Tucson International Airport is the main airport serving southern Arizona, offering free WiFi and showcasing exhibits by regional artists. Downtown Tucson has undergone a remarkable economic revitalization, becoming a thriving hub for entertainment, dining, nightlife, and cultural arts venues. The city has been recognized for its affordability and lifestyle amenities, making it an ideal location for young professionals. In addition to popular Mexican eateries like Rosa's and Mi Nidito, visitors can explore authentic taquerias in the south side of the city.
Traveled through Tucson International Airport a couple of weeks ago for a conference. It was a very convenient airport and easy to get around. The airport is not hard to get around and very helpful staff to navigate through. There was nothing open when I arrived after 10 pm and nothing was open when I left at 5 am. See you in another 10 years Tuscon.

Man, it was so quite. Looking out to the runways, and it looked like we're in Langoliers. LOL! Very clean and easy to bellu up to the bar while waiting for departure. TSA was quick, easy, and everyone was very friendly.
AnM R — Google review
Flew in and out of TUS and had a really good experience. It’s a small airport, but that’s actually what makes it nice. Easy to navigate, short walking distances, and no long lines anywhere. Security and check-in were quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole airport feels clean, organized, and not stressful at all. Our flight was cancelled due to a tornado and a mechanical error, but the United crew at TUS were incredibly responsive, helpful, and calm in handling everything. They really made a stressful situation much easier to deal with. There aren’t many options for coffee or food in Gate A, so maybe Gate B is better for that. The only thing is that it’s not super busy, so food and coffee options close pretty early. If you have a late flight, better grab something before arriving. Still, the airport has a nice atmosphere with some cool local art displays that make it feel warm and welcoming.
A A — Google review
Small airport but great screening staff that are polite and helpful. And it's small enough to get to the gates easily.

Our visit here was short and Sweet. From our experience, the people were nice and pleasantly helpful. I was actually surprised. The restroom was clean. There were intentional working charging stations. I'm looking forward to coming back for a longer stay. BTW we flew Frontier airlines which was pleasant as well!
Joshua M — Google review
Nice small airport — super easy to get in and out of. It was quiet, clean, and really low stress. Not a ton of food options, but it wasn’t crowded at all. My United flight left right on time, and there were no lines at TSA. Would definitely fly through here again!
