Tramways
The Sandia Peak Tramway, located in the Sandia Foothills on the eastern edge of Albuquerque, is a must-visit attraction offering a 2.7-mile aerial tram ride with stunning views of the city and mountains. As North America's longest aerial tram, it provides an exhilarating experience as it ascends to the peak of the magnificent Sandia Mountains.
My adult son and I went here when I visited nearby and it was THE best!! The tram runs people up and down to the top of the mountain every 15-20min up until around 6:30pm I believe. The ride up didn't take long at all and there was an employee riding up, giving the history of the area and the tram itself. The views were absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous! Once at the top, you can hike around at your own discretion. There's a beautiful ski lift around the back for the wintertime. There are also several trails. We did some light walking due to bear alert signs. There's a restaurant at the top as well. It's a bit on the pricey side. We were fortunate enough to catch two guys who were hang gliding at the very top of the peak! It was such an amazing experience! There's also a cute little gift shop at the base of the mountain.

a bit on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it. We went on a partially cloudy afternoon, and the shifting light made the scenery even more dramatic, with layers of mountains, sky, and city unfolding beneath us. The ride itself is smooth and scenic, and once at the top, the short trail along the ridge to the cabin was breathtaking — one of the highlights of the visit. Do keep in mind that temperatures can drop quickly at dusk, even in the middle of summer, so bring an extra layer if you plan to linger for sunset.
Yunong S — Google review
The Sandia Peak Tramway was absolutely amazing! The views were breathtaking – from the city below to the surrounding mountains, it felt like a postcard come to life. There was no wait for the tram, which made the experience even smoother. The guides were great, sharing lots of history and interesting facts both on the way up and on the way down. It was definitely worth it, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Mexico. The views alone make it unforgettable!
Stacy M — Google review
Beautiful! Lift operators were knowledgeable and friendly. All the staff were very helpful. We only managed a hike up to the Kiwanis cabin due to time constraints but it was beautiful. I would recommend bringing something a little more sturdier than running shoes to hike in, a water bottle and be prepared for altitude. My wife experienced a little bit of sickness. Her first time experiencing it. Other than that I highly recommend this tour.
Ronnie C — Google review
Must have tickets in advance. Arrive 2 hours early. If possible have 1 member of your party wait in line and others walk around. Bring layers, it is cold at night. Packed in to the tram 🚊, hard to see out. On the way down folks were nice and let the kids be by the window. Need a reservation for the restaurant. Go during the day so you can hike. We went up when it was light, then down after sunset. If you looked hard, saw lights in the distance from the balloon fesita glow.
Laura G — Google review
Amazing experience! Highly recommend taking this tram 🚋 for stunning views! ⛰️ 🤩 ☁️ We had the earliest reservation and checked in at 8:45am. We were the first group to go up around 9:17am. Window🪟 view was great for photos and videos. 📸 🎥
L — Google review
The waits can be long due to the popularity, so do plan to have one person in your party that can hold your place in line. The trams can hold 45 people, standing room only. About 2 seats available. The views are worth it. The restaurant has casual and reservation only dining. The food is excellent. We went up during heavy fog and rain on the peak and still had a great time. This is a time consuming outing, so pack your patience. If I had a choice, I would go up again, but only if the peak is clear.
Rebecca W — Google review
The experience has been outstanding thus far, characterized by breathtaking scenery. This is a highly recommended attraction, offering a seamless ride up the mountain and spectacular views, along with excellent photo opportunities and courteous staff.

Museums
The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico is a comprehensive museum showcasing pottery, arts and crafts, jewelry, and more from local Native American tribes. It serves as an introduction to the state's 19 pueblos, offering resources on Native American culture, history, and art. The center also features the Pueblo Harvest restaurant which offers a fantastic menu including the popular crispy frybread with savory toppings.
Such a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. Calming and clean, I’m so happy I visited. I’m not from any tribe in the US but am Dene (Dine in the US) from Canada and I was only charged $1, loved that. The display as soon as I walked in made me cry, it made me feel so connected to my roots and make me realize how proud and resilient we are as Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island. I then visited the craft shop and the restaurant that topped off my visit. Proud to be Indigenous! I highly recommend a visit.
Renee L — Google review
Nice museum dedicated to the history, culture, and arts of the Pueblo Indians. It was enriching and full of history that I was not familiar with. Very insightful...self-guided for $12, gift shop, and restaurant serving authentic cuisine.
Pamela B — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. We attended during Balloon Fiesta week on a Tuesday and were able to see a couple of different dance troupes that were very talented . We found the history of the people and arcitecture very interesting. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service were phenomenal! Shout out to our server Mark! I want to go back because we didn't get to spend enough time looking at the exhibits.
Thomas S — Google review
The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is a must-see for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge and understanding of the Pueblo Society. The museum has a rotating exhibit area that hi-lited several modern Pueblan artists, a fantastic exhibit on Pueblan architecture, and an expansive permanent exhibit on the history and culture of the Pueblan peoples. We also enjoyed the numerous small niches with videos, stories, and dialect demonstrations. We left with a much better understanding of the 19 Pueblo communities in New Mexico. We ended up spending almost five hours here, including about 2 1/2 hours in the exhibits, an hour at the dance/ ceremony, another hour at the restaurant, and a half hour perusing the gift shop and vendors. We arrived before 10 am and found plenty of parking in the lot behind the Center. Admission is very reasonable. The staff and volunteers were courteous and welcoming. We recommend eating lunch at the restaurant connected to the Center. The restaurant has a separate entrance for the public, but you can also access the restaurant from the museum.
Dawn J — Google review
What an amazing experience. This was our first visit to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Our group enjoyed the traditional dance and presentation. You can easily spend an entire day reading the educational plaques, enjoying the local art, watching the presentation, eating lunch and browsing the gift shop. Everything was so well done. It’s a great place to visit if you are wanting to learn more about the Puebloan tribes. You can either purchase your tickets online or at the entrance.
Rachel D — Google review
It had nice pottery displayed and some good interactive elements, like hearing different stories and dialects from different pueblos. It was a bit small, and the rotating exhibits were not as interesting. The food was good at the restaurant, and I'd want to go when they have live performances
Stephanie B — Google review
Such a beautiful place. The museum is full of beautiful, sacred art. The gifshop is the same there is a list of purchases I want. The restaurant was awesome, the food delicious and the staff friendly and welcoming.
Tracy P — Google review
Definitely a museum to visit to learn about the history, resilience and magnificence of the 19 pueblos of New Mexico. I'd recommend a good two hours, but it's very well planned (i.e. not a museum that overwhelms you with information). There's also a great gift shop and a cafeteria.

Petroglyph National Monument

National reserve
Sights & Landmarks
Petroglyph National Monument, located west of the Rio Grande, is a vast desert park adorned with over 23,000 ancient petroglyphs dating back to 1000 BCAD 1700. The site showcases prehistoric Native American drawings on stone walls, with some carvings added by early Spanish settlers. Visitors can explore several trails such as Boca Negra Canyon, Piedras Marcadas, and Rinconada Canyon to observe these historical rock carvings.
It’s a nice place to pay a visit if you are in the way to Arizona. Went to the Visitor Center and learn about the history and old Pueblo rock carvings known as the Petroglyphs. Before the hike, you may be encouraged by the information ranger, to watch a short video near the gift shop so that hikers may appreciate the monument. There are a few trails and the easier and short trails can find around 100 over petroglyphs. Other trails can have more than 200 of them. I do enjoy the visit and getting some souvenirs.
Brenda Q — Google review
We went here during the government shut down. The staff was still there! Giving directions and answering questions. Now the visitor center was closed of course but they were still outside the gates to help us. Wonderful humans! They didn't have the passport stamps at the "Main Gate" but drew a date stamp for me in my book. That guy made my day doing that. I loved him for doing that. When we got to one of the trails they had the stamp there so I got both ❤️. It made a sad situation in our country that more memorable because of the human nature, kindness, regular people sharing an experience together, for each other. It was amazing seeing the art someone left behind so long ago. Trying to understand what they were thinking. Seeing a captured moment in time of the thought of another human being. Some make perfect sense and some you will walk away wondering what in the world was that. If you get the chance take a walk where others have stepped for so long.
FxFalcon — Google review
Really neat place. Much larger than I thought. Started at the middle parking lot and walked to the rinconada trail to the south... thats a good distance away and not many petroglyphs along the way. Turns out there's 3 parking lots... north , central and south and I think even on the back side fir the volcano. After the south trail I drove to the north and there is neighborhoods and gas stations and restaurants in between... feels like an entirely different park but its connected. This was my first time getting ours of petroglyphs and I had no idea it would be so fun to find them hidden in the rocks. Gonna add this to my list of things to photograph as I travel.
Cyrus B — Google review
A piece of history that you definitely need to see! Very well maintained and great signage! The hiking trails range from moderate to difficult, depending on which site you choose to visit. We went with the Boca Negra Canyon which showcases around 100 petroglyphs and is not a difficult hike at all. I didn't see all of them but I saw quite a few. We spent about 1 hour and 30 minutes there. Also, I started with the Visitors Center and got some good info and a map to start. It is free to visit...
Pamela B — Google review
Amazing place to hike. Do be aware there isn't much parking (I went to boca negra canyon after not being able to park at the visitor center). Also, no shade, so wear a hat if you sunburn easily. Loved seeing all the pictures on the rocks from the past.
Kari C — Google review
Amazing stop some difficult hikes if you have mobility challenges but there is a nice walkway for easier options. Well worth the hike if your are moderately fit. Beautiful historical artifacts at no charge.
Rena P — Google review
Oh my gosh, why are 700-year-old rock carvings so fascinating?! I mean all it is is some people sitting around chipping away at these rocks to make pictures. Yet here I am in 95° weather walking all around this lava rock hill trying to find as many of them as I can. But there's so much more behind it than that because you don't know what these people were thinking when they carved these certain symbols. What they meant in life to them or to the community or to the universe. When I go to these places I always look around that area to see what kind of terrain and such that these people were living in day by day. Compared to the luxuries that we have today it looks so hot and dry and inhospitable but they knew how to live off the land and with the land and took advantage of every little thing that was provided to them yet they never wasted anything. There are several trails to chose from. Me... in the right place at the wrong time. #mysteryladystravelingfeet #thegreatoutdoors #historical #gypsylife #historylovers #travelwithme #hikingtrails #newmexico #lavarocks #makingmemories #AmericanHistory #NativeHeritage #petroglyphs
Diane S — Google review
From what we could see during the government shutdown it was a good place to visit. We walked in via the access trail and were able to go into the canyon to see petroglyphs. I really liked how there were very few signs pointing out where the petroglyphs were - it was like a scavenger hunt!

Art museum
Situated in the heart of Old Town, Albuquerque Museum is a local history museum housed in a modernist building. Since its establishment in 1967, it has been renowned for showcasing the diverse culture and rich heritage of the Southwest through its extensive collection of over 7,000 items. The museum features maps, photos, crafts, and high-quality art from the region. Visitors can explore rotating exhibitions with a community focus and enjoy live performances at its state-of-the-art amphitheater.
There is a lot to see and take in here. One thing that stands out for me was the gigantic map of Albuquerque on the floor of the Albuquerque room. The outdoor sculptures in front and back are very impressive, too. There are also some rooms showing videos of our shared history. This is a great place to bring children as well as teenagers as it is a learning experience for all ages.

We visited the Albuquerque Museum today and were absolutely impressed. This place is a treasure trove of art, culture, and history. The exhibitions are thoughtfully curated, covering everything from the region’s rich cultural past to striking contemporary pieces. I loved the mix of beautiful paintings, striking sculptures, and historical artifacts that bring New Mexico’s diverse stories to life. The entire space is clean, bright, and beautifully maintained — truly a pleasure to walk through. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which is always a plus. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. One thing I particularly appreciated was how accessible and well laid out the museum is. It’s easy to navigate, with plenty of benches and spots to pause and take everything in. The sculpture garden is a peaceful oasis, and the rotating exhibitions add something fresh for repeat visits. If you're in Albuquerque, this museum is a must-see. Whether you're an art lover, history buff, or just looking for a relaxing, enriching afternoon, the Albuquerque Museum delivers. Can’t wait to return!
Dmitry Z — Google review
I do not remember the names of the rooms, but only two really represented what I used to expect from a city museum, the one about Albuquerque and the other one about the Library. But I think it is my fault, because all the rest is about the local artists and it is completely correct right? I really think it is, but unfortunately I also believe I don't know how to appreciate art, I simply don't know. I really loved some paintings, like the one with two indigenous, and some other ones, but the piece of concrete in the ground, I think I will never understand that. The seesaw is also incredible, a mix of sadness and genius.
Mario C — Google review
Awesome museum with art sculptures, multiple educational theatres, and plenty of historical info. My favorite part was the Free old town tour at 11am. Dave was super cool and had lots of info about the town! Highly recommend. Free admission Sundays 9am-1pm.

Albuquerque is so lucky to have this amazing museum! Filled with beautiful exhibits on both Albuquerque and the Southwest, this museum is a must see while visiting Albuquerque. Admission is very reasonable and the air conditioning felt wonderful on this hot summer day. We spent 3 hours there and could have even stayed longer, there was so much to see. The museum is immaculately maintained. There is a gift shop and café. I will include some photos from our visit.
The P — Google review
I absolutely loved this museum. As a new Albuquerque resident, seeing local art and learning about the local history was wonderful. I've been here al month now and am loving the people, the nature, the food, and the history. These exhibits made me even more excited to call Albuquerque my new home! Gallery one and two won't be open until next month. Can't wait to check them out.

Fun museum, mostly art, some activities. Friendly and helpful docents and front desk. We spent an enjoyable afternoon.

The Salsa Under the Stars Fri night events are so much fun. Great price (~ $22) and great place for outdoor live music, salsa dancing, and drinks! There’s even a free Salsa lesson from 6:30-7 on the stage. Free parking too. Summertime only.

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science in Albuquerque offers a wide range of interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages. From dinosaur skeletons to space exploration, the museum provides an educational and entertaining experience. Children can enjoy hands-on activities at the Naturalist Center and observe real scientists at work in the Fossilworks Lab. Additionally, the museum's Sunshine building has historical significance as one of Albuquerque's first movie theaters, adding to its cultural value.
Lots of dinosaur exhibits here. And a volcano. And underwater stuff. And space stuff. Nice gift shop. We came here to see dinosaurs in 3D, but missed it and had to see desert elephants in 3D. Which was probably better. Not crowded on a Thursday in late January.

Museum style exhibits and interpretation. Some amazing artefacts and rich detail for the interested. Incredibly contemporary looking ceramics from thousands of years ago. Gave me more insight to origins of life here, it’s native people and the way this part of the would developed and has been shaped by external forces.

My kids and I traveled to Albuquerque for a quick visit and had a great time at the museum. Prices were extremely reasonable and we enjoyed learning about the natural history of New Mexico. They have a lot of interactive exhibits that make visiting fun for all ages. The clerk at the front, Lisa, was wonderful and so friendly. Highly recommend buying tickets at the counter as you will get a great deal on show tickets. We saw the Mission to Mars show in the planetarium and the 3D Desert Elephants show. Such a great time!

My son's and their cousin had fun here August 3rd 2025. Free day, last day open for the year. Getting ready for renovations. Will be closed until next year. I can't wait until it opens again.

Always a fun time, I've been taking my son here since he could walk and now he's 11. He enjoys just as much too. We went for the Earth Day Family Event. I thought it was going to be a little more educational but still had some cute crafts to do. Love the new area especially the post card set up but wish they still had the space area.

This place was the best on our trip in Albuquerque. We were military so it was free. But it's worth every penny of admission they charge. We spend all morning there

Great little museum! Not many exhibits that have changed since I was a kid growing home but my kids were done fast because it was “normal” for them. The earth quake part and the mars are was a huge favorite. Great option for littles to be inside for a bit. The Dino at the entrance was the best!

They are not open on Tuesdays. Several exhibits were closed or inoperable. Cafeteria was inoperable and no food or drinks allowed in museum. I don’t recommend for small children.

The ABQ BioPark Zoo is part of a larger complex that includes an aquarium, botanic garden, and Tingley Beach. The zoo features over 250 species of animals from around the world, including polar bears, monkeys, and koalas. Visitors can get up close to their favorite animals while learning about them. Situated along the Rio Grande near Old Town, this expansive park offers a variety of outdoor activities for families to enjoy.
The young lady at the entrance was really kind and treated me like someone special. Being a member of RHZ she got me into both the zoo and the aquarium for half price. If you're going to be going to the zoo I'd highly recommend getting the package deal of the zoo and aquarium for a really reduced price. They are only two miles apart but we'll worth going to both. As for the zoo nice and clean animals look healthy and they are doing some remodeling to make it even better.
Roger H — Google review
DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND VISITING THIS ZOO IN THE SUMMER. We were just passing through Albuquerque and decided to visit the zoo — what a disappointment. You won’t really see any animals. A few birds and some exhausted kangaroos hiding in the shade — that’s about it. It felt like a complete waste of time and money. I strongly suggest checking the weather forecast and asking the staff if animals will even be out before you buy tickets. My husband and I love zoos and try to visit one in every city we travel to in the U.S. There were times when the weather was cool and a zoo employee actually told us in advance that the animals would be hiding indoors. We appreciated that honesty. Here in Albuquerque, nobody warned us about anything — not a word. I think that’s unfortunate. If we had known, we absolutely wouldn’t have gone. I get it — they’re trying to make money — but this felt wrong. We left feeling quite disappointed. The choice is yours, but personally, I wouldn’t return or recommend it during hot weather.
Maryna B — Google review
I love our zoo. Its much nicer than many we have been to. There is a great selection of animals to view: elephants, hippos, rhino, zebra, giraffes, polarbear, but to name a few. I love the fact that the animals have the choice to be out in their enclosures or inside where they have temperature controlled environments. That does may mean, however, that if animals choose to be inside, you will not see them. Sometimes I walk around twice just to double check. In the summer, it's always good to go early in the morning. There have been some great changes to the habitats at the zoo. The animals really do have great space. However, there has been ongoing construction due to this, and it seems about 1/3 of the zoo is currently closed. Four more habitat construction. I have been super excited about most of the changes except for the Australia shores. That has been disappointing after the big build up to its opening. The paths are well maintained, and zoo well mapped out. It's great that even in the heat of the summer, many of the areas are shaded by trees. You can always pop into the Penguin Chill to cool down and watch these cute amazing little creatures. It's always entertaining. There is also the reptile house and indoor amphibian exhibit. While the cost of entry is low compared to some other zoos, unfortunately the food prices inside are exorbitant. You might wish to pack a lunch or take snacks, and water in the hot summer. There are water bottle, refilling stations throughout the park. I do really miss the train and think it's a shame that the shuttle is no longer in service. One thing I think really needs to be remedied. Overall it really is a great zoo worth visiting.
Lorraine M — Google review
While season can affect what animals are active and when, going when it's lunchtime can ensure the most popular beings like the chimps, orangutans and elephants are out on display. Most of the displays are spacious and allow for movement and enjoyment. I have a photo of a very unhappy tiger in a small cage from the 1970s, so these environments made me happy. The aquarium, botanical garden and zoo are worth visiting if you're here as tourist.
Bret C — Google review
We enjoyed our visit even though many exhibits were closed for maintenance. Our visit coincided with the NM State Fair and the zoo obviously wasn't expecting many visitors. Still, we had some surprisingly sweet encounters - an older gentleman playing his violin for the giraffes, a baby orangutan pressed up against the bars to get as close as possible to a fan, and a beautiful ostrich standing in line (?) to get ice cream!
Rachel M — Google review
It was a great way to spend my wedding anniversary! The weather was pleasant, the atmosphere was filled with people from different backgrounds with their children having fun. It was relaxing & joyful! The price to get in was fair, $11 if you’re a resident of NM. Only one upset, the price for a snow cone was around $9, boo! The employees were friendly. Parking was in a carport area which we were grateful for. The Albuquerque Zoo is a great way to spend time with family and make lasting memories 🌷the elephants were my favorite ❤️
Allison K — Google review
We had a lot of fun. There were lots of things under construction. That caused extra walking, and there were some abandoned displays. And some that need to be updated. The penguins were cool, but the exhibit was worn out, and the glass was scratched up, making it difficult to see. You would think they would finish one project before starting another. But overall, it was a good zoo. Some of the birds talked.
Chris W — Google review
I’m a self proclaimed zoo connoisseur with over 20+ zoo’s visited. The value of the ticket is more than fair given the variety of animals and the overall cleanliness of the zoo. My personal favorites are the flamingoes, zebras & penguins. I always learn something new at every zoo and I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History in Albuquerque is a unique educational destination that showcases the fascinating evolution of nuclear science. As an esteemed Smithsonian Affiliate and the sole congressionally chartered museum dedicated to this field, it boasts a remarkable collection of artifacts, including outdoor exhibits related to space exploration.
Super cool museum, the artifacts and breath and depth of the research and information that went into the displays is top notch. I spent an easy 3 hours reading and looking at all the history. Definitely recommend if you need to kill a few hours before your flight!
M — Google review
This isn't just a dry science museum; it's a deep dive into the story of the Atomic Age, from early research and the Manhattan Project to the peaceful uses of nuclear technology today. We were especially captivated by the exhibits on nuclear medicine and the role of the atom in pop culture. A highlight was definitely the nine-acre outdoor "Heritage Park" with its impressive collection of military aircraft, rockets, and even the sail of a nuclear submarine. You could spend hours just exploring that area alone! Whether you're a history buff, a science enthusiast, or just curious, this museum is a must-see. It's truly a unique and memorable experience.
Derek A — Google review
We truly enjoyed our visit to the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History. The exhibits are thoughtfully laid out, with powerful storytelling that weaves together scientific, historical, and social perspectives. I especially appreciated learning about the intense uranium prospecting and mining in the Southwest- something I knew little about before. The Manhattan Project exhibits are engaging, and I particularly loved the story on ‘Oppie and Groves’. The outdoor displays of planes and bombers are impressive, and the gift shop has unique finds. I would have gladly given this place five stars, but I felt there could have been a bit more representation of the many women who contributed to the field. I did notice the acknowledgment of Marie Curie, but perhaps because I spent just over an hour, I may have missed mentions of brilliant figures such as Leona Woods Libby or a nod to Lise Meitner. Including more of their stories would only make the narrative richer, and more complete. I wish I had an entire day to explore every corner of this museum - there is so much to take in, and it’s absolutely worth a visit.
Bartika D — Google review
The nuclear history Museum explains the discovery of nuclear energy in New Mexico by a group of brilliant scientists led by Robert Oppenheimer who was intrigued by life in New Mexico. It is also a museum about how the United States implemented the use of nuclear power to project foreign policy across the globe. This is educational historical and explains for even the non scientists how nuclear power comes about. I was impressed with the educational displays and presentations in addition to the numerous aircraft, the 29 bomber, various missiles and replications of the Trinity site. For US history fan like myself and those who appreciate the the rise of US power, ingenuity, creativity and the role New Mexico plays as a land where the US tested nuclear power.

The Nuclear Museum in Albuquerque is a fascinating place to visit! The exhibits do a great job of covering important history in an engaging and educational way. I really appreciated that there’s also a small kids’ area where younger visitors can play and interact with hands-on exhibits—it makes the museum enjoyable for the whole family. The museum itself is very spacious, with plenty to explore, and the outdoor display of planes is truly impressive to see up close. A wonderful mix of history, science, and fun for all ages!

Neat museum. Lots of interesting details. I appreciate their website being accurate regarding open status with the current government shutdown 💻. 🧬 💣 🥼 🚀 🌎 🔭⚗️🔬🧫 ✈️ 🛩️ 👨🏾‍🔬 The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, established in 1969, offers a compelling journey through the story of the Atomic Age—from the earliest research in nuclear development to today’s peaceful applications of nuclear technology. Visitors are invited to explore how nuclear science continues to shape our world. Through a dynamic mix of permanent and rotating exhibits, the museum showcases the diverse uses of nuclear science across history, industry, medicine, and energy. It also honors the pioneers whose work has defined the field, presenting their stories in engaging and accessible ways. As a Smithsonian Affiliate and an institution accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum upholds the highest standards of excellence in education, preservation, and public engagement. BRIEF HISTORY The creation of the Museum in 1969 was the result of a six-year effort to establish a museum to tell the story of the base and the development of nuclear weapons. The Museum was located on Kirtland Air Force Base. In 1973, the museum's name was changed to the National Atomic Museum to reflect the growing national and international audience and the fact that it was the only public museum that preserved the nuclear industry's history. The Museum closed its doors at the Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico on September 11, 2001, due to heightened security measures. The National Atomic Museum was in its rented Old Town location from May 11, 2002, to February 7, 2009; the Museum re-opened in its current location in southeast Albuquerque in April 2009, renamed The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. MISSION The Museum’s mission is “to serve as America’s resource for nuclear history and science. The Museum presents exhibits and quality educational programs that convey the diversity of individuals and events that shape the historical and technical context of the nuclear age.” We recommend purchasing admissions within the same week they are to be used, but you will not be turned away if your visit takes place after the one-week timeframe. Important Notice Regarding Government Shutdown: We Are Open. Please note that this will not affect operations at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. The museum will remain open to the public and continue to operate under its regular schedule of 8 am to 5 pm. Founded in 1969, the museum offers a compelling journey through the Atomic Age—from early nuclear research to today’s peaceful applications. Through permanent and rotating exhibits, it explores the impact of nuclear science on history, industry, medicine, and energy, while honoring the pioneers who have shaped the field. The museum is proud to be a Smithsonian Affiliate and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, reflecting its commitment to excellence in education, preservation, and public engagement. Importantly, the museum is also congressionally chartered, a designation granted by the U.S. Congress to recognize institutions of national significance and public service. While this charter affirms the museum’s vital role in preserving and interpreting nuclear history, it does not imply federal ownership or funding of the museum. The museum operates independently, ensuring uninterrupted access to its exhibits and programs. We welcome all visitors to experience the museum’s offerings as usual.

Comprehensive history and current status of nuclear energy. I was impressed by the availability of kid's interactive displays. We learned some things we never knew. We read almost everything and visited the outdoor exhibits; we spent about 2 hours. The staff and admissions and the gift shop were very nice. Check out their selection of books in the gift shop.

My ten year old loves history, especially WWII and this was a must stop on our recent trip to NM. We all had a great time, my oldest in his glory my youngest enjoyed the interactive Einstein area and the outside playscape. A win for all! There was several areas to talk to docents and they had an activity to share, which was a very nice touch. Lots to explore here ❤️❤️👌🏻

Fun and exciting space for my toddlers to run around and burn some energy this summer. Engaging and plenty to do and see for a variety of ages. Loved the outdoor space, water tables, playground, and tree swing.

So much to explore! I went in with a group of children from my work and everyone left happy and wanting to stay longer! There are areas where children can enjoy for hours. Everything is clean especially the restrooms. I will be going back soon. Thank you for your warm welcome. We were running late and the girl upfront gave us a bit more time to explore.

We love Explora, I have came for field trips and just to visit and we always enjoy it! My girls had a birthday party here and it was fantastic! They decorated the room beautifully and the experiment they had the kids do was so cute and fun! I highly recommend birthday parties there, it made it so easy and our party host was so helpful and sweet as well as our leads that did the experiment with the kids.

Mine and My kids’ favorite place to go to. So many educational different things to play with. Water stations, sand art area, toddler section inside. Nice playground and sand area with picnic tables outside.

We loved it here. Spent about 3-4 hours here and still felt like we could have done more. The only reason we left was to eat. There is a small cafe like area in there. Plenty of things to explore and it wasn't expensive compared to many other museums we've visited. We will make this a frequent place to visit whenever we come to Albuquerque.

Brought our 8 and 6 year old boys. Haven’t been here since they were 5 and 3, but they still loved it! Super interactive. They stayed in the same sections forever. We were there for about 2 hours. Could have stayed longer, but we were hangry. Not too crowded for a Saturday on a holiday weekend.

A well thought out experience for all ages. Great, interactive exhibits on kinetics, light, sound, electricity, magnetism, optical illusions, and more. Some of the exhibits were showing a little wear, but everything worked. Very affordable, don't miss this if your in yhe area. Allow 2 plus hours at least.

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

Festival
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is an annual nine-day event held every October, featuring extraordinary balloons from around the world. With over 500 pilots and participants from 20 different countries, it's a truly remarkable experience. The festival offers a friendly and festive atmosphere with breathtaking views of the balloons being filled up with flames before taking off. It's a must-see event that attracts visitors of all ages, offering an unforgettable experience for everyone.
The place is GREAT it definitely was a FREE EVENT unless you actually want to pay to sit at the balloon fiesta museum area near the hot air balloons and pay $30 or more. The state was set up at a distance from the museum GREAT VIEW FROM ANY DIRECTION by the way. Jumpers for the children (not for all children because of size and weight) which caused frustration for some people. Lines to jumpers were worth the wait not bad at all. Porter potties available and clean (NO STANK) HAND SANITIZER available. Food trucks, vendors bring your own tent, food etc. Police, security, staff available and trash bins. FIREWORKS more than 15 mins. Free parking in many places. DEFINITELY A GO TO PLACE FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY!!! WOO HOO
Diana P — Google review
Bucket list event. Kids can collect pins from each of the hot air balloonists. Couldn't believe no extra costs after affordable park and ride tickets. Get there very early. Lines to get on busses are LONG, like 1.5 hours even when leaving the balloon rally. Go to a morning launch and an evening glow. Carnival food, good lemonade. Drone show was neat. Fireworks were great. Can skip official gear tent, line to get in and you can buy similar things at the Albuquerque airport.

I am a pilot of 15 years and have been going to Balloon Fiesta since 1998. The last 4 years I have been a sponsor with my company TBC General Contracting. Every year the people behind the scenes at Balloon Fiesta office make the sponsorship process smooth and very beneficial to get my company name out. This year in particular Barb and Kathy were extremely helpful as the week went on with accommodating my needs and taking care of all the people that went to the hospitality tent. If you're thinking about going to this event, it is world-class. My only suggestion would be that you plan at least three to four days on the ground because weather can sometimes keep the balloons grounded. Thanks again everybody at Balloon Fiesta office, Jennifer, Stephanie, and especially Barb and Kathy, another amazing week in the history books.
Jesse N — Google review
Liked it because we wished to visit the event for 10 years. It was great to see so many balloons in one time. However, none of them were launched in the air, due to the small wind. The balloons were taken out by 9am. Such a long trip, standing in the enormous line for the bus since 5:30am (longer than any DisneyWorld)…I guess it was colorful experience for the bucket list 😊😊😊.
Tatiana K — Google review
Such a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend going to a balloon fiesta lift off at least once in your life. It was truly incredible to see.
Maren H — Google review
I was surprised that the same week I was in town they had this festival. I had a really hard time finding the parking lot but after talking to a police officer two times he finally got me into the right road. When I got there it was a nice walk, but nothing hard. I was in total amazement when I saw all the balloons and how close you come to them. Plus they had over 400 different balloons that had to go a mile away and come back to drop a ball onto a x on the field. Surprised most of the came so close. I always thought they go out have a chase crew following them and when they were in a place to land they would pick them up. But these guys flew out came back and landed where they wanted to.
Roger H — Google review
Their weather related refund policies are absolutely horrible!! You spend good hard earned money for special tickets and they won’t refund or replace the tickets for another event the year of the purchase or the next year you’re pretty much out the money if the balloons do not go up! My suggestion don’t purchase their chaser club or gondola club tickets as you will be out all the money that you spent on those tickets even though the event doesn’t happen. I do believe this is against the policies of credit card companies that if they do not provide the service that they promised then you’re entitled to a refund. It’s just like a concert, if a concert does not happen and it’s no fault of your own. Then they should refund those money spent on a ticket that they did not provide the service. Shame on Balloon Fiesta for these policies! As a side note if the balloons do go up, it’s a great experience!
Tina L — Google review
Really cool experience!! Full days of activities, I recommend getting there really early as they take off when the sun is just barely out! Great event for people of all ages, lots of fair like booths with food drinks and other things.

Mexican restaurant
Frontier Restaurant, a beloved Albuquerque establishment since 1971, offers a down-to-earth dining experience with American and New Mexican cuisine. Located near the University of New Mexico, it's popular among students for its late-night hours. The culturally-infused space features local and national artworks, including those representing John Wayne. Guests can enjoy dishes like the breakfast burrito and the Duke City burger in a charming adobe architecture setting that promises an authentic taste of Old Town history.
Took my father in law back to this place. He told me he used to go often in 70s. And oh man the flavor of the famous green chili stew has not changed. The price are so incredible inexpensive. Service is great. And the line go thru really quickly. They have a self serve salsa, (hot and cold) really good. They house made tortilla really fresh. We ended up going back in the evening just for a couple bowls of green chili stew.

This is THE restaurant in Albuquerque that you cannot miss. Great atmosphere, we arrived around 8:30pm after the tramway ride, but the place was still buzzed. A dozen or so staffs were still busy in the open kitchen, taking orders or serving food. The restaurant is huge, almost a block long, but it was still almost full. The food, yes, the food was great, the portion was generous and the price was more than reasonable. The tortillas were as fresh and fragrant as it can be, best tortillas that I had. The tortilla chips were warm, thin, crispy, also the best that I had, cannot go back to pre-made ones anymore. The taco was wonderful, juicy beef, fresh veggies, pretty addictive. We also tried the famous cinnamon roll, it was not bad, but not memorable at all. Overall, frontier certainly lives up to the hype, I absolutely loved it. It would be great if they also serve sopaipilla.

We Google searched for a place to eat before hitting the highway to drive home. We found this place to be open but the second we walked in the old lady was very rude. Must have been way past her bedtime. The food was ok. The sweet roll was dry and too hard for them to even be serving. The refried beans were yummy though. There was a young kid working and he was absolutely a gem. I hope he succeeds in life.

We came here starving after a nice hike and accidentally came right after the church rush on a Sunday morning. This place was packed. The line was a little long but it went through very quickly and we were able to order in less than 5 minutes. The food that came out felt home-cooked and was so affordable. These are prices that are probably closer to pre-2010 levels. I ordered the half enchilada with the beef and the green chili and it was so good. The fries are very crunchy and you can tell they've been fried twice to give it that texture. Highly recommend this place as a New Mexico must visit

Folksy, hometown restaurant where the employees are local people, students with terrific service. I ordered the vegetarian burrito with a regular soda and under 10 to 15 minutes I was served, eating a delicious burrito at a clean table. I like supporting family-owned restaurant. 👍🏽🙏🏽🇺🇸💯👏🏽👏🏽

I was traveling through from Alabama and I was craving something local to NM. I asked a few local people for recommendations. I then ordered the Huevos Rancheros with "Christmas" peppers on top and a green chili cheeseburger (with corn tortilla for less carbs). Both were really good. I then went back for a bowl of the green chili stew, which was also highly recommended. I will say, the "pop" of vibrant flavors I was looking for wasn't there, but the food was overall pretty good. Finally, I got a cinnamon roll for my wife back home. I sampled a bite while there and it was just ok, nothing spectacular. I'd visit again when passing through. There's absolutely no way a semi-truck w/ trailer could fit here, but I was able to park with just my tractor a few bloakcs away. (I left the trailer at my delivery down the road)
Kent B — Google review
The food is absolutely delicious! I got green chicken enchiladas because that's what I always get when I go to a New Mexican restaurant for the first time. The flavor and tenderness of the shredded chicken took my breath away. They do not skimp with the chile or the chicken. The rice is well seasoned and perfectly al dente, not mushy or bland at all. It came with a freshly made tortilla and honey, essentially a personal size sopapilla. Also got the beef nachos on the side and even that was made with care and flavor. The staff behind the counter were efficient and kind and the staff out cleaning were so sweet and helpful. There's so much sitting room and the decor is a great blend of rustic and nostalgic. I would definitely go back again and again!

Always a hit and fantastic breakfast at Frontier. The Huevos Rancheros green were absolutely delicious! Talk about busy, but what do you expect on Central Avenue right across from UNM. But as busy as they were, service was still fast and friendly. As many, many times as I have visited throughout the decades I always spot a new piece of artwork. I always enjoy seeing all the beautifully framed pieces of artwork. I can’t wait to go back again and enjoy another beautiful Sunday breakfast with my Babe.

Guests can enjoy dishes like Chicken Madagascar and Australian lobster tail with drawn butter from their extensive menu.
Hands down one of the best culinary experiences I've had. I asked a local for a recommendation and she said this place. They took me without a reservation and sat me immediately. Shawn was my server and he was spectacular. I had the carpaccio to start and it melted in my mouth. They serve it with fired capers and spring mix greens. The salad that came with the entree was fresh and came with the most amazing olive oil blue cheese dressing. The 8oz filet was cooked perfectly rare was like eating meat butter. Just an absolutely perfect experience, that was a total accident. Steve and his staff are top notch. Awesome find.

Absolutely delightful and delicious. It is one to add to your list for sure. I would highly recommend a reservation. Service was great and Steve, who greeted us up on entry was a pleasure! While we stopped in without a reservation and assuming we would not be able to get in, he was able to make it happen! We started with Oysters Rockefeller, followed by two of the specials (veal schnitzel and green Chile tenderloin in an Alfredo sauce), and key lime pie for dessert. It was all amazing and a highlight of our trip! If you make it, tell Steve that Joe from VA said hi ☺️

Everything was fabulous! My husband and I hadn’t been to Antiquity since before Covid and went last night for our wedding anniversary. The food was spectacular, atmosphere was perfect with having our own little space to be together even though the place was packed (as it should be) and service was top notch. From bread and wine to dessert and coffee we had a fantastic experience. The special salad with candied pecans, bacon, berries and pear vinaigrette was killer! The green chile sauce on the potatoes for the main course was perfect. Everything was fantastic. Thank you so much to our server and the entire team! Keep up the amazing work!

New American restaurant
Farm & Table is a charming restaurant nestled in Albuquerque's North Valley, offering a warm and inviting ambiance with Southwestern decor. The menu features upscale, regionally inspired cuisine crafted from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Emphasizing community collaboration, the culinary team partners with local farmers, grocers, and artisans to create delectable dishes showcasing farm-fresh vegetables, grass-fed meats, artisanal cheeses, and pure honey.
Very good farm to table concept that is well done! The special soup of the day was our favorite and the different salsas were fun to try! The beets were very well tasty. The barramundi was our favorite main. The chicken was a little drier than we would’ve liked but the sides for it were very good.
Paul C — Google review
The highlight of the dinner was the attentive and knowledgeable service. The food was a mix of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, but at times, the essence or true flavour profile of these beautiful ingredients got lost when a dish becomes too complicated, too many ingredients piled on top of each other fighting for their profile to survive. The Duo of Pork was a perfect example of it. The roasted pork was tender with a delicious hint of smoke; the pile of shredded pork with mole was a loss opportunity to allow the products to shine. The tortilla that came with it: was a very heavy, ultra rich combination of lard and cream, leaving us wishing for a real corn tortilla aroma and taste. The ice cream is excellent, and the Rhubarb/cherry sorbet contained a painful amount of sugar that completely killed the enjoyment of having something cold. One thing that is absolutely needed is an anti flies battery-operated tabletop fan, we had to ask for one, for it became a non-stop battle trying to keep them off your food.
Luis S — Google review
We sat on the patio and the chairs each had blankets which was nice. Many mosquitos but they had fans on each table to help. We shared a bottle of wine, tapas, and the half fried chicken which was $225 with tip. The server was nice and knowledgeable but seemed to have one too many tables. Food was good and of course all or mostly all locally sourced
Kristin R — Google review
Saw this restaurant on Resy and it looked promising. It had great reviews and their concept was right up my alley. I really wanted to like their food, I honestly did, but each dish fell flatter and flatter. To start, their duck fat fried tortillas tasted stale and the salsas/sauces left a lot to be desired. The runner dropping off the food couldn't tell us which sauces were spicy. He was dropping off food and didn't know one dish from another. As for the soup, one server said it was corn, another said it was squash. The "special" was prime rib- the cut was terrible, I could barely eat the meat, it was laden with fat and the sauce/seasoning was not tasty. It was tolerable- for $68. Same with the fried chicken. Overpriced and under delivered. The dessert was pricey for what it was. The German cake was tasty (also vegan) and the ice cream was decent. I will be honest and say we were tempted to go elsewhere for dessert because the whole exprience left much to be desired. I'm thankful AMEX does a $100 credit, otherwise this at full price was definitely NOT worth it. Look elsewhere.

I’ve been here once for dinner and really enjoyed it. We got our drinks first and had the chance to walk around the farm before sitting down for a delicious meal. The staff did a great job explaining the ingredients and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They were even attentive about keeping the flies away when we were seated outside. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Albuquerque.
Tim — Google review
My friend and I had a beautiful experience at Farm & Table. We ate outside. Our server was attentive, respectfully responsive to dietary restrictions. We ordered Bison short ribs and fried chicken as our entrees. We also ordered a salad and a charcuterie plate. My only criticism is that I was bit excessively by mosquitoes. I did not know that the restaurant was close to a river. Other than my mosquito bites, everything was great. The portion sizes were ample. Our vegan German chocolate cake was delicious.
Sharon T — Google review
Ordered the mushroom mélange as an appetizer and the lotus farm fried chicken and duo of pork as entrees. The mushroom mélange had delicious crunchy tempura batter which created lots of interesting textures to the dish. The five spice fried chicken dish was so delicious, juicy tender meat—especially with the dipping sauce. It was a bit on the saltier side though. The duo of pork had a smoky spice that was very hearty and earthy. Server did attempt to bring us drinks we did not order a few times, but otherwise very friendly staff. The garden component is beautiful, great place to stroll after an evening meal. Such a killer spot for a sunset. Pricey but would come back here for special occasions!
Amanda — Google review
My partner and I had the Duck Fat-fried Tortilla Chips & Salsas, Lotus Farms Fried Chicken, and Bison Short Rib. The presentation was average for a farm-to-table or locally-sourced restaurant. Flavoring in the dishes could have a little more vibrancy. Landra was a friendly, helpful, and attentive waitress. This personable interaction elevated the dining experience! The atmosphere was what mainly contributed to the dining experience. To the persons who want to have a social gathering, Farm & Table can sustain this for groups of people. To the persons who are there for the food, Farm & Table still seems in its infancy compared to similar restaurants. I may be ignorant of Albuquerque’s caliber of restaurant standards and culture when it comes to food quality, but from a nationally-wide level, Farm & Table is still seems early on its journey in maturing into a finer place of food.

The food was amazing and the staff and atmosphere were just as wonderful. Went here on a Friday night a few weeks ago. I are reservations ahead of time to avoid a wait but it didn’t sound like it was too bad either way. The atmosphere was very pleasant. For as busy as it was you wouldn’t know it as the area is set up nicely and maintains a fairly quiet noise level. The server was amazing. She not only gave me great service but even wrote me a list of fun things to do in the area. I will definitely be going back here again and highly recommend. Also according to the manager I spoke to their beef is sourced through local farms in the area and they buy it by the slab with someone staffed to make the cuts. Even better!

I went by myself and I just had the beef bites. This was junks of beef and red chili sauce with flour warmed tortilla. It was just a little spicier than perfect. My waitress was very attentive and that was very nice. Her name was Gina. I came early on a Thursday evening around 4:55 p.m. and there was no waiting at that time. I imagine it gets busier another times. There was plenty of parking then as well.

The open kitchen, white tablecloth dining, and hardwood floors create a sophisticated ambiance. The menu features wood-fueled grills and pastas with tangy sauces that change seasonally, such as Atlantic salmon with dill cre fraiche and pork tenderloin with a fig-bourbon blend.
We went here with our friends who are locals while we were visiting from out of town. What a wonderful experience. Everything was well laid out from the time we came in the door. The hostess was warm and friendly, Madison our server was bubbly and knowledgeable and the food was cooked excellently. The tenderloin was a favorite at our table. It was tender and flavorful and The basalmic reduction added just the right sweet and tangy mix. All the elements of our meal were well spaced and came hot and ready to eat. The atmosphere was lovely and made talking with one another easy. We would definitely come back while visiting again.

My wife made a reservation for my birthday and this place did not disappoint. Excellent wine menu, very attentive staff and the food was overall really. Good the only marks I would give it was that it took a while to get our food about 45min. They were very busy and our server did let us know ahead of time. If you’re looking for a cute atmosphere, good food and great wine this is your place. I’d choose this over level 5 or 10/3 any day!

HOSPITALITY AT IT'S BEST... My wife and I recently stopped by Seasons Rotisserie & Grill in Old Town before meeting up with friends to ride the Duke City Pedaler. As we walked upstairs to the rooftop bar, we were greeted immediately by Keith, one of the owners. I told him he probably wouldn’t remember me, but back in my college days I had the privilege of waiting on him and his wife Lynn... as well as his brother Kevin and his wife Cat many times. The four of them were always an absolute pleasure to serve. Owning and operating several successful restaurants gives them a seasoned perspective on food, service, and experience. And yet, what stood out to me then and still does now, is their kindness, grace, and genuine gratitude. Those qualities are what have made them some of the most memorable people I ever encountered in the service industry. It’s been about twelve years since I last worked in the industry, but every time I’ve seen Keith, Lynn, Kevin, or Cat since then, they’ve remained the same... approachable, humble, and kind and always smiling. For anyone who’s ever worked in hospitality, you know it’s a tough business, and the best people are those who lead by example. That’s exactly who they are. Whether it’s Seasons, Savoy, or the now-closed Zinc, you’ll find them doing whatever it takes to ensure a great experience... hosting, bussing, pouring drinks, running food, or, like Keith did during this visit, quietly placing a small wedge under our table to make it perfectly level. That tiny gesture says everything about their approach: nothing is beneath them when it comes to taking care of their guests. I never worked for them, but I would have been proud to. If you ever get the chance, visit their restaurants, meet them, and experience what true hospitality feels like. You’ll be well taken care of... every time!

We were passing through town. Stopped for dinner. Great service. They had a parking lot so parking was easy. Didn't have a reservation and we were seated at the bar without any wait. Noemi served us. She was great help, had good recommendations and was still able to keep up with all her orders. I highly recommend eating here. Atmosphere is good. I would come again.

Driven by this place dozens of times & have no clue why I haven’t stopped in. Our daughter & her friends recommended it. 10/10 would recommend! It was DELIGHTFUL! Started with a lavender margarita & fried artichoke. For the main, I got the pork chop served over peaches & cabbage. (I haven’t stopped thinking about that chop since … 😋) My sister got the sea bass, also scrumptious. We ended the meal splitting a chocolate torte. Can’t wait to come back & dive a little deeper into the menu.

We made reservations. We were seated quickly. The place was completely booked. Our server was lovely. Answered all our menu questions. Dinner didn't take as long as I expected, with the crowd. Pleasant surprised. The food was fabulous!

Artichoke Cafe is one of Albuquerque’s finest restaurants. The food is fresh and artfully presented. The ambience is warm and cozy and the staff is friendly and unpretentious. It’s a lively place, but the noise level doesn’t suppress conversation. Excellent cocktails, adequate wine list

What a gem of a find! My husband and I are in ABQ for a conference and happened upon this restaurant, it was so delightful the first time we went back again! First night we did happy hour with light bites at the bar and then transitioned to a table for dinner. Impeccable service, delicious food and drinks (standouts were (of course) the fried artichoke appetizer and the beef tenderloin). Second visit was our anniversary, another delicious meal and drinks (stand outs were the arancini appetizer and the beef cheek main course). The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and they were sweet enough to gift us a delicious champagne toast! We’re so glad we found The Artichoke Cafe, a relaxed vibe but with serious food/wine/bar chops!!

We went this last Saturday, all though it was extremely busy we still enjoyed ourselves. The food was exceptional. I had the fish special and it was the best fish I’ve had since being in Albuquerque. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Established in 1942, this historic spot provides an authentic experience with its hand-rolled tortillas and flavorful tacos. The restaurant's setting evokes the charm of old drugstore soda fountains, complete with a choice of seating including counter stools, cozy tables, or a shaded patio.
We Have Lived Here My Whole Life And Finally Got To Go Eat Here At Duran's Restaurant Pharmacy. Food Was Delicious Great Green Chili And Red Chili, I Had Cheese Enchiladas, My Wife Had Chicken Tacos. We Will Be Back Sometime Soon!!👍❤️❤️❤️

My wife and I went to Duran’s after a doctor’s appointment downtown, because of proximity and our previous visits have been memorable. We were seated immediately and provided drinks with food orders taken quickly. Our waitress Joy was awesome. She recommended ChileQuiles w/Carne Adovado christmas sauses which I ordered and it was outstanding. My wife ordered Huevos rancheros and it was also amazing! The environment is always vibrant and busy, with tons of shopping in main area of the pharmacy. We love this place and will definitely return more often.

What an interesting place! You have to walk through the pharmacy/clothing, card, giftware section to get to the restaurant. If you have to wait for a table, you can shop in their well curated store. The women’s clothing is fabulous. But back to the food. It’s New Mexican comfort food and we loved it. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food comes out quickly once you place your order. We will return to try more dishes.

I can see why this place has been an Albuquerque institution for decades! Located in the historic Central Pharmacy building, this family-owned restaurant delivers authentic New Mexican cuisine that hits all the right notes. We ordered the stuffed sopapillas and empanadas, and both dishes were absolutely outstanding. The stuffed sopapillas were perfectly golden and fluffy, filled with savory goodness that made every bite satisfying. The empanadas were crispy on the outside with a delicious, well-seasoned filling that had just the right amount of spice. The atmosphere is quintessentially New Mexican - warm, welcoming, and steeped in local tradition. You can feel the history in this place, and the staff clearly takes pride in serving quality food that represents the best of regional cuisine. If you're looking for authentic New Mexican food in Albuquerque, Duran's should definitely be on your list. The stuffed sopapillas alone are worth the trip, and the empanadas are a perfect complement. This is the kind of local treasure that makes dining out special. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors.

I stopped by Duran’s while in town for Balloon Fiesta and was blown away by how welcoming everyone was. The staff treated us like regulars from the moment we walked in. They were genuinely friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions about the menu. Even though the place was packed, our server checked on us often and made great recommendations (the homemade tortillas were increidble). The whole experience felt warm and personal, like stepping into a piece of Albuquerque history. Between the kind service, cozy atmosphere, and great food, this was one of the highlights of my trip.

I got the breakfast burrito which was huge & delicious. The eggs and potatoes were both so light and fluffy. Can't wait to come back and try something else! Also loved all the items to peruse while we waited for our table. Lots of local-made items. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

They didn't have the one thing I was looking for (makeup brushes) but I had so much fun looking at ALL the other cool stuff! Amazing place for alternative medicines and odd-end gifts+souvenirs. If you make a visit to Old Town be sure to stop by, and I hear the food is delicious as well.
Trelasa — Google review
This restaurant offers fantastic New Mexican food with excellent service and LARGE portions. Tacos—YUM-uh-licious and so filling—beef and chicken, especially the beef. The enchiladas and tamales are soooooo darn enchanting! And OMG the flour tortillas (BIGGER than your head) with butter are heaven sent. Save your appetite for everything! I am unable to eat a lot, and am a very picky eater, but I can eat my entire taco or combo plate here, as it really is that frickin' good! The coffee and iced tea are great, and they focus solely on New Mexican cuisine, avoiding typical American breakfast items. It deserves high praise as the best place for New Mexican/Mexican food (that I've tried), and the store for goodies is beautiful, too! You won't regret this gem! It's not elegant but approachable with the best service and food! Prices are just like all restaurants, and if you think it's expensive, stay home and make it yourself!

Seared Bistro Albuquerque is a charming American restaurant located in the heart of Albuquerque, just off the historic Route 66. It offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with attentive staff and a delightful menu featuring American seafood and meat standards. The bistro also boasts a hearty wine list, making it an ideal dining destination for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Visitors have consistently praised the quality of food and service at Seared Bistro, making it a hidden gem in Albuquerque.
Tried this place out for the 1st time because we wanted to try a new restaurant. The ambience is chill and relaxing. This is a great place to have a date night. They offer wine (pretty big selection) and cocktails. They had a pretty good selection on their menu and the waiter let us.know that it does change dependent on the season. We liked that because we can have different options when we go again. I usually get a picture of the menu to post, however, if it changes it would be worthless so just go and find out. I do recommend giving this place a try. The food was absolutely wonderful! I had the Cowboy Rib eye with Marrow and my wife had the fettuccine with lamb. Let me tell you, they don't skimp on the portions. Yes the dishes can be a bit pricey BUT we had left overs for 2 meals after so I would say it's worth it. We would go back and order the same thing because it was so good. Seasoning was on point and presentation was great. Every employee we encountered was very welcoming. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered recommendations when asked. I can say we will definitely return and are eager to try some of their other options and we have also recommended family members to go as well. The restaurant is kind of hidden but so glad we discovered it. It's located across the street from Old Town so you can probably walk across the street for a stroll or some shopping after. Roll by and try it out for yourselves. I recommend giving them a call if possible to make a reservation because the restaurant isn't that big so there could be a wait. If you read my review, please hit the like button. Thank you!

Excellent service - knowledgeable & friendly server. Blue pear appetizer was good although more honey would be nice. The scallops were some of the best ever with a delicious succotash of corn, mushroom, bell pepper. Dessert not so good - pecan cobbler. Tasty pecans but the bread part was just blah like a hard biscuit with no flavor. Overall a great experience.

Looking for a GREAT place to eat? Head to Seared. Just had a dinner that was absolutely magical. We stparted with duck confidence egg rolls. There were full of delicious shreds of tender duck, accompanied by a green chile oil that was out of this world. Next course, a cream of mushroom soup. It was super rich, super thick and full of mushrooms. We ordered The Farm, which was a plate of lamb, duck and ell tenderloin. The elk was so tender, It literally melted in my mouth. The red chile demi-glace was so delicious! The plate was served with sweet potatoes and bacon and pomegranate. I could hqve eaten an entire bathtub full of those sweet potatoes. My husband ordered the special, beef wellington. The pastry was crisp, the mushroom tempanade waa divines! Definitely gives Gordon Ramaey a run for his moneu! We also ordered mashed potatoes and green chile risotto. Desert...German chocolate cake. It was so moist and the slice was huge. Needless to say, we had plenty of leftovers. The wine list is plentiful and the chocolate martini literally tasted like a chocolate milkshake. One of the absolute best meals ever! Thank you Seared. Our server waa Ramon and he GREAT! We will definitely return!

Seared Bistro is one one those restaurants where you arrive and go "wait, is this the right place?" Located in what I would describe as the remains is a 90s strip mall, located south of Central, you would now expect the quality of food from such an unassuming location. The charcuterie was next level and my beef filet was very tasty, however as a mild nitpick, for the price the plating left something to be desired. For better or worse we only ever saw our server a couple times, and the room itself had a musky smell I couldn't place. All in all the food was great, the location quirky but comfortable and the servers a bit harder to find than I'd have liked. Stop in and check it out sometime.

7/25/25- This was my first time dining at this restaurant. What a find! The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and clean. There was plenty of parking in front of the restaurant and to the side. The menu had a wide it range of options including some vegetarian. It was hard to decide. Our table had ordered an appetizer of deep fried asparagus, the salmon and filet oscar for the entree. It was absolutely fantastic! I will likely order the salmon next time. The salads we're delicious and fresh. The meal was so good we could not possibly leave without trying a dessert, the german chocolate cake. This restaurant comes highly recommended and I will look forward to eating here again. 9/6/25- Sat in the bar area and it greatly added to our experience. Our bartender Jacob made excellent drinks and was one of the best weight servers I have ever experienced. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting, the staff was friendly and professional, and the restaurant clean. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The porterhouse pork chop was very good with a portion larger than I can eat in one sitting. The vegetables swimming in onion ju was off putting. I prefer my vegetables so I can tell what they are, not hidden under a lake of brown juice. When I would cut a piece of meat, it would disappear in the lake of juice. The baked fresh daily German chocolate cake was dry with a very hard frosting. An extensive list of wines, but they were out of the Zinfandel I tried to order, so of course they offered a another wine at a slightly more expensive price. Our group ate in the bar at high top tables with uncomfortable chairs. I had to get up twice because of leg cramps from the chairs. We had 11 in our group and did not request the bar, but that is where they sat us. Limited normal seating in the bar area.

This place was freaking amazing! The waiter Christopher was so knowledgeable & knew what wines to pair with what foods. He even brought out a Falanghi, Fuedi Di San Gregorio which was different wine for me to sample & it was perfect for me. I had the Farm, which was Duck, Lamb & Pork Belly, while Gerald had a Cowboy Ribeye. I have never had a poached pear simmered in Brandy for 4 hours with a scoop of ice cream, paired with a Chateau Laribotte before. At first the wine is sweet, but after your take a bite of pear & ice cream the wine is tart. Seared Bistro also gives you sherbet & a personalized birthday card for your birthday. This place is a must try!

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The food was delicious — I had the steak, and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service made the night even better — Jacob was both bartender and server, and he was phenomenal: personable, attentive, and efficient. It’s rare to find that kind of genuine hospitality these days. This is one of those restaurants that reminds you what great dining should be — personalized service, people who remember you, trustworthy recommendations, and just an all-around warm, high-quality experience. What a wonderful place. Quiet and shaded patio, friendly staff, and great food. My pear, blue cheese, and seared tuna salad was amazing (not pictured) so I had to order a Reuben to go so I could try more of the menu. They even gave me my hibiscus tea in a to go cup for the road. One of my favorite places. Delicious food with a good specials menu each time I have visited. There has not been a single dish I've tried that wasn't amazing. Fantastic experience! Cinnamon rolls are out of this world. Will be back to try more things for brunch! This time, we had the tuna melt, Cobb salad, and the apple cheddar chop. All food was perfectly seasoned and flavorful.

As far as salad places go, nothing special. Had a to-go order, salads are small and uninspired. Asked for it to be tossed, dressing was on the side. For the price, definitely expected something with a little more substance. Inside was unique, so no complaints about the atmosphere. Maybe dining in is the way to go.

Vinaigrette: Where the Greens Are Glamorous and the Vibes Are Curated Tucked into a sun-drenched corner of Albuquerque, Vinaigrette is where the salad gets its swagger back. This isn’t some sad desk lunch joint serving pre-packaged greens in compostable containers. No, this is where kale gets massaged like it’s at a spa retreat in Ojai, and where your arugula comes dressed to kill, preferably with a side of lemon herb chicken and the existential satisfaction that you’re “doing something good for your body.” The place itself is curated—no, cultivated—like a Wes Anderson set redesigned by Goop. Picture reclaimed wood, pastel hues, the faint smell of turmeric and privilege wafting through the air. It’s got that farm-to-table glow, but make it fashion. You walk in and know exactly who this is for: the yoga mat-toting millennial with a CSA subscription, the silver-haired Santa Fe transplant craving something “clean,” and yes, even the odd food writer pretending not to care about any of it. We ordered the Kale Caesar—bitter, briny, and perfectly smug—with a generous serving of lemon herb chicken. There was mac and cheese for our little guy, which, against all odds, came out creamy and sincere. The “Beet” salad was an earthy, jewel-toned punch of goat cheese, greens, and quiet self-righteousness—like a farmer’s market in a bowl, dressed for brunch. Drinks? A turmeric elixir that tasted like it could banish inflammation and your sins, and a green Bloody Mary that hit like a punch from a vegan kickboxer. Everything tasted like a clean conscience. As for the service, don’t expect theatrical tableside flourishes. This isn’t that kind of show. You’ll be checked on—eventually—but mostly you’re left to admire the minimalist cutlery and wonder how radicchio suddenly became sexy. Seating is communal, like a Scandinavian summer camp, which means you’ll be overhearing plenty of talk about “microdosing” and second homes. Yes, it’s expensive. And yes, you’re absolutely paying for the vibe. But in a city of sopapillas and smothered green chile, Vinaigrette is a refreshing, overpriced, beautifully pretentious detour. And you’ll come back. Because there’s a part of you—no matter how deep—that wants your salad to taste like salvation.

Cocina Azul, located in Old Town, Albuquerque, is a high-end dining spot with a casual atmosphere. The restaurant offers top-quality dishes with a Southwestern flair and serves traditional New Mexican cuisine. In addition to breakfast and burgers, the menu includes taco salads, burritos, and enchiladas. The bright and airy atmosphere of the restaurant adds an upscale cantina vibe to the dining experience. Cocina Azul is known for its courteous servers who provide excellent customer service.
Great service! Good food! Excellent happy hour! From the outside it looks like a pricer place than it is so don't let it's appearance throw you off. This is a casual eatery but a step up from your average Mexican restaurant. There is a full sized bar and several tables placed in the bar area. A low wall separates the rest of the tables both helping keep the noise level down and separating those that don't want to sit by the bar. The same waitress that seated me took my order, mentioned the noon to 2pm happy hour, and made sure I had refills and everything was to my satisfaction. I ordered the brisket street tacos (per another Goggle reviewer's suggestion) and was very pleased with my selection. Street tacos were small but you are provided 6! And 2 sides. I chose calabacitas (yellow & zucchini squash with corn, tomatoes, & onions) and rice. Also provided red & green sauce, lettuce, tomatoes & guacamole. Sour cream provided upon request. The brisket was juicy and flavorful, the rice so moist---some of the best flavor I'd ever had, but as far as the squash dish I could have eaten just a large bowl of that & been very happy. The combo was very delicious and satisfying. And with 2 sugar rimmed on the rock margaritas ($4.50 each)---one peach & the other strawberry (actually had alcohol otherwise I wouldn't have ordered another) it was a very good meal. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Albuquerque. No frills but great service & good food! And to top it off the manager offered me complimentary pineapple sorbet from Frost's!

Went here because of all the positive reviews. What a disappointment. 3 tables tested in the joint and service was meh. Very limited menu in my opinion, mixed with American fare. $30 for 6 small tacos! You could spend $14 on a giant burrito anywhere else and get 3x the food. No chips, no salsa. Beans were full beans not refried and the rice seemed to be rice a roni. Drove all that way and still hungry after.

A Festive 4th of July Feast at Cocina Azul in Albuquerque Traveling to Albuquerque on the Fourth of July, I was looking for a memorable meal to celebrate the holiday, and an AI app recommended Cocina Azul based on glowing reviews. I’m glad I took the suggestion — this place truly exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Christmas Enchiladas, a name inspired by their vibrant red and green chile combination. The menu offered an impressive variety of meats for the enchiladas, from tender brisket to flavorful carnitas — a rare find and a delightful twist on traditional Mexican fare. The portions were generous, leaving me satisfied and craving more. The heat level was above average but perfectly balanced with the rich, smoky NM chiles — absolutely unbeatable. Be warned: the heat might burn twice in, and out, but it’s worth it for the delicious experience! The flavors were authentic and robust, making each bite a true celebration of New Mexico’s legendary chile. Juan, the chef behind the magic, is Juan in a million — an outstanding cook who clearly puts his heart into every dish. The staff was cheerful and upbeat, and our server Champagne was the star of the show. She was fun, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a great personality that made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Cocina Azul provided a fantastic dining experience, and I’ll definitely be returning. Celebrating Independence Day here made the holiday even more special — I couldn't have asked for a better meal or a happier ambiance. If you’re in Albuquerque and love good Mexican food, don’t miss this gem!

Domestic airport
Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) is the closest airport to Santa Fe, just 10 miles from downtown. It offers quick and easy bag check and security lines, with a newly renovated and spacious terminal featuring a delicious cafe, outdoor seating area, and various art installations. While Albuquerque International Sunport is an alternative option about an hour's drive away, SAF provides convenience for travelers looking to board their flights quickly and enjoy affordable parking.
Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) is the best option for flying in and out of Northern New Mexico. With multiple daily flights to Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, and Houston, there’s no need to drive to Albuquerque—the ticket prices are the same or even cheaper! The newly renovated terminal is a huge improvement, featuring local art, a cozy café, and an overall smoother experience. The new paved and well-lit parking lot makes arriving easy, and best of all, you can check in, clear security, and be at your gate in under 10 minutes. Convenient, efficient, and stress-free!

Cute tiny airport - it’s smaller than Ushuaia in Argentina. The security agent looks at my driver’s license and said that’s the town he got his first job out of college as an accountant. Staff are all kind and friendly. Our flight is delayed for two hours. The outdoor waiting area has a few rocking chairs. Two large unisex bathrooms, the one I used has baby station.

Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) is incredibly small. Undoubtedly one of the tiniest airports I have ever been to. There’s a separate building for baggage and you have to board and unboard right from the tarmac. While it is easy to navigate and the atmosphere is low-stress, it comes with limited amenities. There are no lounges, very few food options, and not much to do while waiting. Unfortunately, my flight was delayed by two hours, which made the lack of seating and entertainment more noticeable. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful, and going through security was quick. SAF is convenient if you prefer avoiding big crowds, but it is definitely not the place to be stuck during a long delay.

Very small regional airport with one terminal, located about 25 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. Easy car rental check our and returns. One TSA aecuroty line, which only opens about 1.5 hours before scheduled flights. There is a cute, small cafe past the security check. The highlight is a shaded outdoor lounge which looks out onto the runway. Everyone (except the Avis car rental people) were friendly. Very easy to navigate this small airport.

I didn't fly here but went to the airport to get a rental car. I've never been to a small regional airport, but I like the look and feel of the airport blending in with the architectural style of most of Santa Fe. FYI all the rental car offices are inside the airport terminal. Anyways I'm giving 5 stars for the look of the airport
Purush R — Google review
The airport itself is nice and small when I say small two gates the only reason I’m not giving a five stars is because of the TSA workers were rude and dry they made me lose a flight and have to be rescheduled for the next day because of a boarding pass that was on my phone, not showing a barcode even though they’re calling my name on the intercom so I can board and I’m showing them my drivers license and credentials. They would not accept it and completely useless to help the answer to anything you would say would be go to the front desk even though they know there’s nobody at the front desk because everybody is at the gate working so you have no help.

Officer Koteen was super nice when I got to the airport. He also made me feel safe when I had a really scary Uber experience. He heard me out and then proceeded to take steps to make sure I wouldn't get hurt from the driver. He checked on me regularly while also making sure everything at the airport was running smoothly. I can say without a doubt that he made this experience then from a scary one to a comfortable and safe one!

UPDATE 3 months later I want to emphasize that the two stars are for the airport employees. If I could give them 5 stars and the parking situation 0 I would do that. I have had no problems with TSA, rather they have always been friendly and professional. I carefully plan ahead of time and research online what is and what is not allowed in carry on/security and follow those rules. I also have found the other airport staff from the check in folks to the baggage handlers to the maintenance people to be more kind and friendly than any other airport I’ve flown through. Unfortunately the parking situation at this airport remains the worst I’ve ever experienced -badly managed and hard to navigate: Here what new as of 6/5/25: They now are charging $7 a day for parking. They do have more lights and a free shuttle (which I have only seen once and there is no info that I could find posted about when and how often it runs). My frustration with the parking situation at Santa Fe airport remains because: It doesn’t matter if you win the parking lottery and get a paved spot with good lighting close to the airport or an unpaved spot with no lighting, where you will likely be marching through mud for a mile to the terminal. (Please see attached pics for the two different parking options and the difference between them). Either way you will be charged for parking. This discrepancy in parking conditions is unexplained and unjust. Why should you have to pay the same to park in a muddy dirt lot a mile from the airport? It’s like finding a unicorn if you actually do get a spot in the paved area. It’s only happened to me once in the last 8 trips I’ve taken in this airport. I’ve even arrived two hours before my flight hoping to get lucky. Nada-back to the muddy, unlit, dirt field for me. Now I get to pay for the privilege too. Yay Santa Fe airport you sure know how to turn on the charm for locals… Albuquerque airport is starting to look good to me again… Original review: I’ve been to this airport twice in the last month-3 weeks later and the horrific parking situation has not changed a bit. The majority of the parking is in an unpacked gravel lot that is the Wild West of parking. There is no signage indicating where the airport is from the gravel “lot”. This so called “parking lot” is a 7 minute walk (yes I timed it) from the terminal and has no lights, no cameras and no security. During the day I felt fine but on my return flight I get in at 10pm and taking that walk as a woman alone at night raises all kinds of safety issues. While I was walking the mile from the dirt parking area to the terminal, other passengers passed by me and expressed disgust at the horrible and unsafe parking environment. The construction company BRADBURY STAMM, seems to be the party responsible for this situation (you too can leave them a review on their Google business page). They have multiple signs saying “use sidewalk to access terminal” or something to that effect, but there really is no sidewalk. What could be construed as being a sidewalk has all these square yellow and black bumper things that are hard to navigate around with a suitcase. A free shuttle bus service to and from the gravel lot would go a long way to making this “lawsuit waiting to happen” situation better. And it would be even more better if that theoretical free shuttle bus posted their hours (in clear and obvious places and maybe even online! Like the airport website maybe?) how often they ran between the terminal and the far reaches of the dirt lot. Once in the airport I found the employees, and general environment to be quite pleasant. The cafe was a little disappointing they served my drink lukewarm and not completely mixed so their were large chunks of powder at the bottom. One of the bathrooms in the airport has no hangers for purses or luggage which is not great. And the unisex bathrooms are a bummer if you are a female person who goes in after a male person who leaves the toilet seat up forcing you to touch the germ laden seat in order to empty your bladder.

Albuquerque International Sunport

International airport
Airport
Albuquerque International Sunport is a small yet charming airport serving the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area. It features an array of New Mexican art and history, including a 1914 biplane on display. The airport offers convenient access to the city with flights from nine commercial airlines. Travelers can easily rent cars or use ride-sharing apps upon arrival. Despite ongoing renovations, the airport provides a warm welcome, complete with live musicians performing inside during special events like the balloon fiesta.
Super nice airport with a charming southwestern vibe! Everything is so clean and spacious, even the restrooms are very spacious with plenty of room to walk inside. Love the detailed flooring and seating. Seating area near gates are also spacious! Beautiful wall decor! We arrived late evening so the airport was not crowded at all.

One of the best airports out there even though it is smaller. It's clean, friendly, has nice bathrooms, and it's easy to navigate. There is currently a lot of construction redoing a large percentage of the airport and I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

The Albuquerque International Sun-port Airport is a great little airport. The food options have been updated and the options are excellent now. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. This recent visit I have not encountered a single rude person both employee or customer. The security line was non existent! I recommend flying in and out of this airport.

13 March 2025 - Nice clean airport for arrival, sweet art pieces to check out. Under some renovations/upgrades. Evening pickup/arrival tip - have your people pick you up on the upper levels for departures as it's a ghost town while the lower arrival level is a zoo as evening flights are coming in heavy.

Very easy to navigate this airport gate to gate. Wish there were more morning options for food, not just hand sandwiches and coffee.

User friendly AIRport with comfortable public areas. Decor / artwork presents the local style well. Relatively close proximity to downtown Albuquerque. Can walk to several hotels. Small enough to allow quick navigation, large enough to have a choice of shops and restaurants. Ample seating, much of it very comfortable and attractive. Observation deck was nice and is currently being renovated. It may have the best seating near the check in counters of any AIRport in the USA, this is helpful for weary or less mobile travelers. Only thing I personally do not like here is the unique and silly feel good title “Sunport”, goofy attempt at promoting the nice city, feels very 1960’s to me, but imagine how confusing that weird name may be to some foreign tourists, if you have ever travelled in a foreign country where no one speaks your language or uses your alphabet and you use translator tools, you’ll know the hassle and confusion generated / presented by irregular nonsensical facility names. Why not be straightforward in the name? Would it be productive to call your university the New Mexico Brilliance Center? Change “Santa Fe” to “Santa Awesome”? Equally inadvisable. Thank goodness other cities don’t do this, think of the possibilities, Logan Lobstahport, Kingston Ganjaport, Pittsburgh Lostoursteelindustryport, etc. All other cities go with “Airport.” Also, promoting the more privileged sun comes at the expense of the feelings of the equally valuable moon, clouds, and other stars. Shouldn’t the local leadership be more “inclusive” or neutral here!? (Yes, I do see the irony and hypocrisy of criticizing a goofy name with a goofy review, thank you).

It was my first time at the Albuquerque international Sunport. The terminal is clean, and signage is clear, so it was easy to navigate even when I was unfamiliar with the layout. It was easy to find the baggage claim and there was not much of a wait, so the overall process was smooth and efficient. There are connecting trains to the city and Lyfts and Ubers are also available without a long wait. There is ample seating space at the airport.

This review is specific to BurqueBrews inside the airport. Who's brilliant idea was it to have multiple TVs but not not change any of channels?? Today is game one of MLB World Series! Having TV audio for the game would be nice as well. Imagine someone coming from out of town on layover and having such a nice brand new bar to relax for a bit but you can't watch the sport event of the moment. Really Disappointing! Whomever is in charge needs to RE-THINK this policy. Small criticism of beer selection, no Santa Fe Brewing Co. Beer? As a native Santa Fean that now lives in ABQ, I'm offended! We need some 7K and Social Hour at the airport!
