Jenny Lake is a stunning glacial mountain lake located in Grand Teton National Park, offering breathtaking views of the adjacent National Elk Refuge and the iconic Tetons. Visitors can enjoy motorboating on the pristine waters and take in the mirror-like reflection of the mountains. The area is a paradise for hikers, with numerous trails leading to magnificent vantage points within the park. For photography enthusiasts, Jenny Lake provides an ideal spot to capture the beauty of nature.
This was very pretty. But very busy. Alot of people at the visitor center and in the shops and waiting in line to take the boat across for the hikes but we just took the trails to the lake and there was absolutely nobody at the lake, it was absolutely quiet & peaceful.
Christy H — Google review
Jenny Lake is a must see. The only problem is everybody that wants to see it too. We got there early to take the boat across and still had to wait in line. I guess we weren't there early enough. LOL You do not have to take the boat if you want to hike the additional miles around. A bull moose waited for us to arrive just off the dock and before the hike really started. He was fairly impressive (at a distance). The hike to Hidden Falls is moderate to moderately hard (everything is relative). The hike to continue to Inspiration Point was more difficult due to the steepness only. The trails are wide and well-maintained with lots of small direction signs. The hike to Hidden Falls was beautiful. Continuing on to Inspiration Point was more meh to me. Jenny Lake is big and you can see it all from the point.
Rick C — Google review
To enter the Grand Teton National Park is $35 feet & worth every penny to drive through and enjoy the views. I had to pick up from the Jackson Hole airport at sunset so it was perfect time to drive through and enjoy the beauty.
Mindy T — Google review
Must see when in Grand Teton NP. Magnificent view of the lake and mountains. Reminds me of Swiss countryside. Easy hike around the lake.
Edith S — Google review
I was at a loss for words. It was so beautiful and majestic. Take the scenic route and stop at Jenny Lake. You won’t regret it.
Alan H — Google review
Beaitiful views and amazing wildlife abound! The drive in from Yellowstone is surely not to be missed...
Eric O — Google review
Beautiful clear water! We brought kayaks and used the boat launch to get on the water. Stunning views and not too crowded (Monday around 5pm). Saw lots of hikers on Jenny Lake trail. This time of year I would recommend going earlier in the day so you can enjoy the water in full sunshine. We were in shade on our way back to the boat launch but still a great time. If you bring your own, make sure you have both passes (WY State and National Park permit) and the inspection done at the entrance.
Arianna M — Google review
Would say that this area is the prettiest in the Tetons. It is a beautiful hike up to inspiration point but you are TRULY MISSING OUT if you do not hike just 1 more mile into cascade canyon, as the view there is amazing. The extra 1 mile into cascade canyon is a lot easier as it is relatively flat. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the boat shuttle, the hike up to hidden falls and inspiration point, and especially cascade canyon.

Oxbow Bend is a picturesque spot in the northern part of the park, known for its stunning mountain views reflected in the slow-moving tributary of the Snake River. This area is famous for being one of the most photographed spots in the park due to its breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. Visitors can expect to see a variety of avian wildlife, beavers, moose, and other animals attracted to this riparian area.
Perfect pull off to stop for picture and a small little stretch! The view is absolutely amazing. With two toddlers we spent over an hour here, just throwing rocks in the river, watching all the birds, and the wildflowers were goregous! Highly recommend to not miss this pull off when visiting Grand Teton National Park.
Melissa J — Google review
A must-see while visiting Grand Teton National Park! The reflection of the peaks on the river is stunning, and there's often wildlife in the area. Plenty of parking in the lot or along the road and a short, easy walk from the car.
Marissa C — Google review
With the river reflecting the yellow/orange aspen trees and the Teton mountains in the background, it is very beautiful!
Jeff C — Google review
It’s a very beautiful spot, we checked out cattleman’s bridges spot there in the morning and dusk for wildlife, saw merganser ducks there. Heard people talk about otters, elk, moose and grizzly pass through. But still a beautiful spot.
Sean C — Google review
Very awesome place. We came here at 5:15am to see the sun rise. It ended up being about 7am before the reflections were perfect. This was Aug 6 so keep that in mind. Get there early because it fills up quickly. Be respectful of others taking photos.
Joshua W — Google review
This is a best place to see the Grand Teton mountains and a reflection of it in the calm waters. If you are lucky, you might see some pelicans too. I did :-)

Schwabacher Landing

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Schwabacher Landing is a picturesque spot situated along the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. It offers stunning views of the rugged Teton peaks, often mirrored in the tranquil waters. This area is renowned for its landscape photography opportunities, especially during sunrise when the first light bathes the mountains. However, it can get crowded with photographers at this time, so arriving well before sunrise is advisable to secure a good vantage point.
There’s a reason they’re called the Grand Tetons — the views are on a whole other level of grandeur. The sheer scale and beauty of the landscape truly live up to the name. We visited about 30 minutes after sunrise, and the view of the Grand Tetons was absolutely stunning. The reflection in the river was beautiful — it would’ve been even more extraordinary right at sunrise. In 2023, we came in the afternoon, and the timing was off — the sun was directly above the peaks, so there was no reflection in the water. This time, the yellow wildflowers added an extra layer of beauty to the already breathtaking landscape. Highly recommend visiting this spot either at Dawn or Dusk.
Swanalika A — Google review
We visited Schwabacher Landing the first week of September and it was still very crowded. Even when we drove around 6AM, the parking lot was already packed. If you come later, you’ll likely end up parking very far from the river, which makes the experience less enjoyable. The key is to be there before 5AM like what most people do if you want a decent spot for photos. It was difficult to get a good shot because of the crowd, everyone was trying to set up for the same view. I wish they would improve the parking situation or maybe create a designated area where people can line up fairly to get their turn for the iconic shot. Until then, it’s really about timing and patience. That said, the view itself is absolutely breathtaking. Watching the sunrise hit the Teton range and seeing its reflection in the calm river is unforgettable. These were raw, unedited photos captured using my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the beauty still came through perfectly. It was very cold that early in the morning, so make sure to wear something warm or bring a blanket. On the positive side, there’s at least one restroom in the area, which is convenient. The view is beautiful, but you’ll need to prepare for the crowds and chilly weather to really enjoy it.
Redge O — Google review
Stunning views! My teen daughter asked to stop here, and I was skeptical as we drove down the road. Everything in the Tetons is beautiful, so why spend extra time on a side quest when we needed to get to our campsite? Well, I am so glad I indulged her request. This spot is truly worth the few minutes it takes to travel off the main road. It's a gorgeous spot! There were quite a few people there when we stopped, but it didn't feel crowded. We were there in mid-June, in the middle of the afternoon. Bathrooms were available (I believe pit toilets, but we didn't use them, so I'm not sure). The road to approach is a little rough, but our minivan did just fine. Definitely worth a visit!
Sarah C — Google review
This is a magical place to watch the sunrise as it offers a grand illumination of the Tetons. It can be pretty crowded, so arrive at least 30 minutes before the actual sunrise time.
John H — Google review
This is a really cool place and perfect for sunrise viewing. The fog was covering the Teton range at first and slowly faded as the sun came up, revealing the mountains and making the view even more stunning. It is a must see experience.
Mark — Google review
Went there this morning, thinking we should have been on higher ground to see the whole mountain ridge as the sun rose; boy was I wrong and my niece & daughter were right. View and reflection off the calm creek were amazing, plus we were blessed to have a bull moose in the stream… amazing! (Moose is in the far right of the pic)
David C — Google review
Schwabacher Landing is absolutely breathtaking—hands down one of the most peaceful and picturesque spots in Grand Teton National Park. The view of the Tetons reflected in the calm water is surreal, especially at sunrise or sunset when the light hits just right. The short, easy walk along the river makes it accessible for families (our kids loved exploring the trail!), and the quietness of the area adds to the magic. Whether you’re into photography, nature walks, or just soaking in the beauty of the mountains, this place is a must. Don’t miss it—it’s a hidden gem that feels like a dream.

Jackson Lake Lodge

Mentioned on

Lodge
Jackson Lake Lodge is a top-notch dining destination in Grand Teton National Park. The lodge offers excellent restaurants and breathtaking views of the Grand Tetons. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery while dining outdoors on the balcony. The lodge's cottages are neat, clean, and comfortable, providing an excellent place to stay. Additionally, guests can visit the Jenny Lake Store for snacks and limited groceries near the visitor center on the south side of the lake.
We had a great experience at the Lodge. Room was comfortable and clean. Food options at the 3 restaurants and poolside were good. Coffee cart and breakfast available at 6 am for early hikes. The views spectacular and a convenient place to leave for hikes and comfortable place to return to. WiFi good for national park. Expensive but ultimately worth it. We were there during Fed’s Jackson Hole Summit of global central banks which made people watching fun and getting a news alert about fed chair’s speech and having seen him at breakfast pretty wild.
Paul S — Google review
We came here for two nights in July. We stayed in the cottages. I was very disappointed with the room for the price. I feel like you can find something better out there and unfortunately will not be back. The room smelled very musty even though it was clean. Bathtub was super slippery, so be careful. No TV, or air conditioning which we knew, so I assume that’s the smell. We ate the first night at the diner restaurant in the lodge, and it wasn’t that good. I had a chicken Caesar salad, and the chicken was rubbery. Family had burgers that fell flat. Lots of people here, so if you want more of a private place then I recommend somewhere else. If you have kids, then you’ll probably enjoy it. The good things are it is centered in GT and easy to access. But I won’t be staying here again.
Daxy C — Google review
Surprisingly great experience at the Jackson Lake Lodge Cabins. The cabins felt sturdy and well-kept, with WiFi available inside, which was a nice bonus. While you could hear some outside noise, it wasn’t disruptive — I still had two restful nights of sleep after long hikes. The staff was very accommodating and the overall ambience was really pleasant. A highlight was dining at the Mural Room — the food was excellent. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again!
Shalemar K — Google review
Let’s start with the positives….the location and the view from their Balcony rooms facing the Tetons…unmatched. You are so close to tons of hiking and other sites. Another positive are the people that work here. Every person we interacted with was wonderful. We loved the coffee cart area in the main lodge. Great coffee. Friendly staff. The diner was the same. Friendly people and the food was great. The brownie dessert is something I will dream about for the foreseeable future. The activities desk has a great company they work with for a scenic raft tour. Enjoyed that immensely. Now for the negatives….The Mural room will get its own review as it was lacking. Very lacking. Our waitress was the only thing that saved that meal. The hotel rooms are not the most clean and are in need of a major update. Our most expensive night was over $800. That definitely was NOT an $800 a night room. The tub was on a slow drain. I’m sure they would have come to fix it but we just dealt with it as we were busy and back late every day. Just everything needed a good scrubbing. I always check for bed bugs in hotel rooms and I took an extra amount of checking time with this one. It was fine, but I’ve never done such a thorough investigation because it just looked like a place I’d find them. Again, I did not find them our room did not have them. Just want to be clear. Overall, I give them 3 stars and really their staff and location (see photo) are the only reason it’s not 2. If you’re going to charge high-end hotel/lodge prices you should have rooms that reflect that.

We had 3 generations staying in cottages for our annual family vacation. Overall a great experience, beautiful setting, and pleasant and attentive staff. We all enjoyed our stay. For what it's worth, the food here is much better than most other national park lodges (including those in Yellowstone). There's no AC in the cottages. If that concerns you I recommend staying in the actual lodge rooms. We had to transfer on our last night (due to a power outage) and those rooms seemed cooler.
Michele Y — Google review
This property is in need of a major makeover! It is showing it's age and the staff doesn't seem to care. Dirty laundry bags left in the hallway all night. Bathroom and shower fixtures broken. Dirty windows. Even the main lodge windows showing the Tetons are stained and weathered and should be replaced. If you get there in the late afternoon the view is terribly compromised. The Pioneer Grill was terribly overpriced and very disappointing. Our room with a view cost us over $700.00 for one night. It's a small room with cheap siding on the walls. We've stayed at many $100/night rooms that are much nicer. Again disappointing. There is only one elevator and it was filthy with a sticky floor. It too needs upgrading.... and cleaned. The place is packed so there is no incentive to fix it up. The view is absolutely stunning! We will go back for the views but we will eat and stay somewhere else other than the Jackson Lake Lodge!
Travelin M — Google review
We recently stayed at Jackson Hole Lodge and were very pleased with the property itself — the rooms are comfortable, the location is ideal, and the amenities allowed us to enjoy much of what the area has to offer (boat tour on Jackson Lake, float run on the Snake River, etc). The front desk staff were courteous, and we appreciated their help in securing accommodations for us when we arrived. Unfortunately, our overall experience was impacted by how a reservation issue was handled. We had mistakenly booked our upgraded rooms for the week prior to our arrival, and when we showed up on the correct week, we were listed as a no-show. I acknowledged ownership of the mistake and , frankly, advised them that we had planned our stay to rest up for our daughter’s wedding the upcoming weekend. Although the team found us new rooms for our current stay — which we are grateful for — the manager declined to transfer our original payment to the current (and less expensive) booking. We were still charged for the original, unused reservation, despite clearly being on property and continuing to make purchases for food, activities, and souvenirs during our stay. In essence, paying twice just doesn’t sit well. Clearly, we weren’t “No-Shows”, just “mistakens”. While we understand policies are in place, we hoped for a little more understanding and flexibility given the circumstances — especially as potential returning guests who actively support the broader business offerings here. We do hope the lodge will consider more guest-centered solutions in the future.

Jackson Lake Lodge – Beautiful Views, But a Frustrating Stay Jackson Lake Lodge boasts incredible views of the Tetons, but the overall experience was disappointing—and unfortunately, it impacted the quality of our family trip. Room & Facility Issues: No air conditioning or exhaust fan, which made the room stuffy and uncomfortable. Windows don’t open fully, and there’s no screen door for airflow. No TV in the room—something families really miss when trying to unwind at night. A simple smart TV with phone mirroring would go a long way. Outdated design throughout: eight different light switches in one room, an old rotary-style phone, analog room keys, and a bathroom light fixture that looked unfinished. One light fixture was actually falling out of the ceiling. No microwave available—even the coffee cart lacked warming options. Trash cans are tiny, and housekeeping isn’t offered unless you're staying more than two nights. The room wasn’t very clean, and overall upkeep felt neglected. Surprisingly, phone booths still exist on the property. Amenities & Services: No on-site activities, no bike delivery, and no shuttle services. Website photos are misleading—likely AI-generated and don’t match the real cottages. The concierge was friendly, but no real services were provided. Without a car, you're very limited. Dining: Restaurant menu was underwhelming. While the options looked decent, we chose not to spend more money on-site due to our overall dissatisfaction. Family Experience: Because of all the issues, our family was frustrated throughout the stay. There was constant nagging, and it became clear everyone was having less fun than we had hoped for. What was meant to be a relaxing, scenic getaway turned into a disappointing and stressful experience. Positives: Parking was easy. The views are stunning—but you can enjoy those same views elsewhere in the park without staying here. Final Thoughts: Jackson Lake Lodge has a great location, but everything else needs serious attention. Until updates are made and the guest experience is improved, it’s hard to recommend—especially for families looking to truly enjoy their time together. One thing I forgot to mention: at night, the property is extremely dark with virtually no outdoor lighting. It was pitch black walking to the car, and honestly felt unsafe—especially for families with kids. A few path lights would go a long way in making the lodge feel more secure after sunset. Sorry if this sounds a bit negative, but I don’t sugarcoat things—I just tell it like it is.

Mormon Row, located in Grand Teton National Park, is a historic district that showcases the resilience and resourcefulness of early settlers in the American West. Against the stunning backdrop of the Teton Range, weathered homesteads and iconic barns stand as enduring symbols of the pioneer spirit. Once a community for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mormon Row features several well-preserved historic structures set against the majestic beauty of the mountains.
This site brought you back to the memory of the nineteen century of the settlers life, a vibrant community. The prairie looks so open and peaceful with the backdrop of the huge mountains. Worth stopping by before you enter into Grand Teton.

Ta Molten Barn in Moran, Wyoming, is a unique spot with a rustic charm. There isn’t much for kids to do, but it’s a fantastic place for plane spotting and watching aircraft land at nearby Jackson Hole Airport. Great for aviation enthusiasts and anyone looking for a quiet, scenic stop!

Visited the beautiful Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park, and it truly felt like stepping back in time. ⏳ The old wooden barns standing proudly against the stunning Teton Range are simply breathtaking! 🌄 It’s amazing to imagine how the early Mormon settlers built their lives here, surrounded by such wild beauty. 🪵🐎 📸A perfect blend of history, nature, and peace — no wonder it’s one of the most photographed spots in Wyoming! ❤️❤️

I really enjoyed the drive out to Mormon Row and all of the barns. I may have to visit again because I think sunset would afford better pictures. Nonetheless, Mormon Row was a worthwhile stop on our vacay.

Beautiful spot not alot of people but we also went October the 22nd kind of the off season! We had pictures made by a local for a good price and the view of the tetons were beautiful!! Also went back at night to see the milky way you could see it with your naked eye, no light pollution it’s was a one of a kind experience
Kaycee — Google review
Easily walkable, and interesting history. It is the original buildings. You do not have to go through the National Park to see it, so you don't need the park pass. Small parking area, some of the buildings were private property.
Sadie K — Google review
Stunningly beautiful, but do be aware lots of other tourists, people getting engagement pics, etc. will be there, and for some reason, they decide to walk right up to the barn to take a photo. For the best shots, there's a small board crossing a stream where you can walk into the sage brush, allowing you to get further away, then zoom in on the barn to give the mountains more prominence in the photo.

After seeing whether predictions we planned for 1 day grand teton tour. Went to Jackson lake sun was still out everything was fine. We took a ferry to hidden falls and inspiration point. While coming back either we can take a trail or ferry. Once you reach other part of lake there is a small trail. Air is so fresh around that place. Suddenly it started raining when we went. Each view point is spectacular and refreshing.

Snake River Overlook is a renowned spot within Grand Teton National Park, offering an iconic view of the Teton peaks as they rise above the river's bend. This location gained fame through Ansel Adams' 1942 photograph, "The Tetons and the Snake River," commissioned by the National Park Service to showcase the park's beauty.
This spot has a beautiful overlook of a bend in the Snake River. You can see a photo from 1942 and compare/contrast it to today.

I wake up midnight, no joke, leave Rock Springs and drive many hours through dark just to catch sunrise at Snake River Overlook. Arrive maybe 4 in morning, still very dark, stars still in sky. Nobody there yet. Whole place feel sacred, like world not start spinning yet. I set up my camera for time lapse—this is same spot Ansel Adams take famous photo of Snake River and Grand Tetons. Is real place, not just picture in book. When you stand there, is like standing in postcard but better, because air is cold and fresh and everything quiet. Little by little, sky start changing. From black to deep blue, then purple, soft orange, then sun hit mountain. First light hit Grand Teton peak and it glow like gold fire. I almost forget to breathe, just stare. Snake River below have mist, slow moving like ghost. I feel very lucky. No hiking needed, just short walk from car to overlook. Parking small but not full that early. Recommend arrive early, maybe bring coffee or tea, also gloves and warm coat. Cold in early hours, even summer. If you want best photo or time lapse, come 30 minute before sunrise and stay little after. Light change fast and every second different beauty. No bathroom there, so plan smart before come. I take photo with mountain behind me, pink sky, purple beard, perfect contrast. Even if tired from long night drive, was worth every mile. This overlook not just view—it’s experience, memory, piece of soul. Five stars. Will do again even if have to wake midnight every time.
Nikolai K — Google review
We stopped at Snake River Overlook but honestly it was a bit disappointing. If the goal is to recreate the famous Ansel Adams photograph, you can’t. The trees have grown tall and are now blocking most of the river’s view, so you can’t really see the snake-like form of the Snake River anymore. It’s inside the national park, so flying a drone to get a better view isn’t allowed either. When we visited, it was also a hazy day and we couldn’t even see the Teton Range clearly. I understand the importance of preserving the trees and keeping the area natural, but there’s just nothing impressive to see here compared to other overlooks in the park.
Redge O — Google review
Another beautiful view of Grand Teton. To get here, you will cross the National Park gates. If you are coming from Yellowstone National Park, you will need to get an entry pass to get back on this road after visiting snake river overlook. I recommend this location and there are ranches along the drive where you might see some Elks.

Located near Moose, Wyoming, the Chapel of the Transfiguration is a historic log chapel dating back to 1925. This rustic church is nestled against the stunning backdrop of the Teton Range and offers a breathtaking view of the tallest peaks through its altar window. Designated as a National Historic Place, it continues to serve as an active Episcopal church during summer months. The picturesque setting makes it a popular destination for visitors seeking spiritual solace or simply admiring the scenic beauty.
Chapel that you dont want to miss visiting when in grand tetons. Loved the serenity around and peace within the chapel, there is calmness around. Try to spend some time sitting inside chapel. Overall a must quick stop.

The Chapel of the Transfiguration was on my bucket list for Grand Teton National Park. Nestled in a peaceful area, this quaint church is a site to behold! Wish I could have attended church service there on Sunday, but we weren’t in the area. Nonetheless, it’s a fabulous place to pray looking out at the Cross and seeing the Tetons in the distance!

The Chapel of the Transfiguration is a truly wonderful and peaceful place, one of my favorite spots in Grand Teton National Park. With a stunning view of the mountains framed behind the altar, it feels like a sacred space both inside and out. I especially loved going there around 6 PM, when most visitors had cleared out. It was quiet, serene, and the perfect place to reflect and pray.

We saw a sign for the chapel when we entered the park and decided to check it out. Services are still held here and it is quite rustic. We very much enjoyed the 2 stained glass windows and the painting. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Wonderfully kept church from 1925 with lots of history. The backdrop is expansive and incredible, the inside is small and bare. Convenient and quick stop when leaving the park.

Beautiful historic chapel that was so peaceful. The view from inside the church of the mountains was stunning. Open all the time for you to visit.

Most beautiful chapel to visit in the area. We were treated to beautiful organ music being played by a member of the congregation!

Jackson Hole, also known as Jackson, Wyoming, is a renowned valley surrounded by scenic mountains and home to a historical town square. The area offers abundant opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in Grand Teton National Park. Voted as one of the best small towns, it boasts a famous ski resort and proximity to the national park. With 97% of the valley being state and federal land, outdoor recreation is easily accessible.
For those who see it as somewhat of an upscale, western version of Gatlinburg, you aren't wrong but that doesn't quite tell the whole story..the scenery surrounding the town by far and away surpasses its eastern counterpart and there is more to do both in and around town...
Justin G — Google review
A really cool place! The city is quite touristy, but it definitely has its own unique charm. There’s a small park around the area, souvenir shops, and cozy cafés. Make sure to take a walk and explore — you’ll definitely find something interesting for yourself.

We made a quick stop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and really enjoyed the western charm of the town. We walked around Park Square, saw the famous antler arches, and even checked out the Cowboy Bar. A fun spot to soak in that classic western vibe, even if you’re just passing through!
Mitch W — Google review
I love this place, apart from its beautiful landscapes there are so many things you can do whether in summer or winter, my family and I always come back to this place.
Solanny M — Google review
Fun little touristy town with traditional stores for necessities close by. The arches of antlers stand at the corners of the square. Bronze sculptures of historical figures invite you to imagine having a chat with the likes of Amelia Earhart or Mark Twain.
Suzy C — Google review
Just a must see place to stop and get your picture by the famous Antler Arches. Touristy to say the least. As a coastal person myself the over night stay was just the right amount of time spent here. Super, super expensive hotels in upwards of $800+ a night. I guess if you're a skier ⛷️ this place might be nice in the winter. Sidewalks are boardwalks. Watch your step. National Elk Refuge right outside town. About an hour to Grand Teton National Park.
Liz L — Google review
Oh my goodness this place is a tourist trap. Lots of overpriced food and shops. One guy was yelling stuff against the president of the United States and he was bothering everyone right in the intersection of the main roads. I was trying to cross the street and he was waving posters and yelling at everyone to hate the president. Here we were enjoying traveling the many beautiful places in the USA but this closer was yelling bad things, no one stopped or talked to him. If it's an expensive tourist trap why the protesters? The town square is the only thing here and after finding a $19.00 burger i didn't want to hear a man yelling at me.
General D — Google review
Beautiful scenery and a very comfortable atmosphere, lots of shops And great restaurants! I felt a little like I was stepping back in time about 50 years. All of the people were very friendly and polite. One word of caution: we left the area about 10:30 and had to be very careful driving away from there as we saw multiple single and large herds of Elk, Buffalo, Moose and various species of deer just about every mile we drove. Fortunately we did not see any Grizzlies or other bears near the highway which concerned us as we knew they were out there. Be sure to top off your tank and carry lots of water and internet connectivity is extremely spotty.

Sights & Landmarks
Signal Mountain Summit Road is a scenic route that takes you to the 7,720-ft. peak of Signal Mountain. The five-mile narrow paved road offers stunning 360-degree views of the Teton peaks, Jackson Lake, Jackson Hole valley, Gros Ventre Mountains, Mount Leidy Highlands, and Yellowstone Plateau. Visitors can understand why early fur trappers referred to these high-elevation valleys as 'holes.' It's recommended to visit during sunrise or sunset for the most breathtaking views.
100% Recommend. Watch out for driver is going way too fast. If you take your time and go the speed limit, you will see an abundance of wildlife in the woods lining the road. Keep an eye out for deer crossing. The road is easy to navigate.
Marie T — Google review
A full 360° view, but obstructed by some trees at the very top. Decent amount of parking at the summit as well a bit earlier on the road. The Signal Mountain trail is easy to access from here. I recommend going early to avoid getting stuck behind slow vehicles on the narrow road. Bring binoculars!
Nick S — Google review
This was a scenic drive up to the summit to get some panoramic views of the sunset and the mountain ranges. Not too crowded but parking spots can be unavailable right before sunset time. The road to get here is narrow and curved. Pit toilets available at the lookout 2 minutes before the final stop.
Shilpa S — Google review
Signal Mountain Summit Road is absolutely worth the drive—such a beautiful, off-the-beaten-path experience! The pullouts along the way offer incredible views, and the scenery from the top is breathtaking. There are restrooms available at the summit, which is a nice bonus. We even had the pleasure of seeing “Hollywood,” the local elk who’s known for hanging around the parking lot and greeting visitors. An unforgettable stop that I highly recommend!
Heidi R — Google review
Congrats, you safely made it all the way to the top to witness a great panorama of scenic views encompassing the entire valley. Sit back, have a sandwich, and enjoy the views before heading down
D C — Google review
Narrow, steep, winding road up to the summit. Drive with caution when there are cars passing, people hiking or biking. Views up the top are wide open. Unfortunately we could not capture good pictures or views due to hazy conditions.
Susan D — Google review
Great viewpoint to see the entire valley. Be sure to take your binoculars. Also a nice drive to see wildlife.
Stephen C — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking views - worth every minute of the drive! Holy moly, what a payoff! My wife and I made the winding drive up Signal Mountain and the panoramic views from the summit completely blew us away. This might be the best bang-for-your-buck experience in all of Grand Teton National Park. The 360-degree views are simply unreal - the entire Teton Range stretching out in front of you, Jackson Lake sparkling below, and the Snake River winding through the valley like a silver ribbon. We could see for miles and miles in every direction. The scale of everything just takes your breath away. What I loved most was how accessible this summit is. No hardcore hiking required - just a scenic 5-mile drive up a paved road, and boom, you’re rewarded with views that rival any mountain you’d have to climb for hours to reach. Perfect for us since we wanted the payoff without the workout! We timed our visit for late afternoon and the lighting was absolutely magical. Brought our cameras but honestly, no photo can capture the sheer grandeur of standing up there. The silence, the fresh mountain air, the feeling of being on top of the world - pure perfection. Pro tip: Bring layers! It’s noticeably cooler at the summit, but so worth it for these incredible views. Already planning to come back for sunrise next time! 🏔️📸

Pinky G's Pizzeria in Jackson Hole, Wyoming is a popular local spot known for its unique pizza toppings and laid-back tavern atmosphere. This tiny pizzeria has been voted the best pizza place since 2011 and has gained recognition from the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. Located in the Pink Garter Plaza near Town Square, Pinky G's doesn't take reservations but is definitely worth the wait.
This place is realistically closer to a 4/5 but giving it the nudge just cus of the music. Like seriously some early 2000's pop/club bangers that I was not expecting from a pizza joint. Had me bopping my head while crunching on some perfectly crisp-ified pizza. Besides the classy music taste, the pizza taste was also banging along with the several beer choices from local breweries. Do visit.

Needed some good pizza after a full day in the National Parks, and we had not one, not two, but three people tell us to come here. We got some to go, and loved it! Fresh, flavorful, and fast.

Best NY Style Pizza I've had in I don't know when! These folks know how to make pizza. the crust has the right anount of lightness with the perfect amount of delicate crunch to it. I had the "slice of the day" which includes peperoni, mushroom, and black olives. The pizza was superb. The crust, the toppings and sauce were the most perfect representation of a New York style pizza I've had in a long time. I should know. I'm from NJ. People from NJ know a good NY pizza. If you eat at Pinky Gs, I promise you'll taste the best pie ever!

Pizza had no flavor, and the Caesar salad is tiny for the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for food. The vibes seem okay for a quick drink.
Sara J — Google review
Stopped in here twice in our few days in town as the pizza was incredible. At only $5.50 a slice (huge slices) this place was a winner. Flavour was so good and the base was nice and thin with a crispy exterior but soft inside. Crust was really nice and the perfect balanced amount of sauce and cheese. Just a really solid pizza. Cheap drinks and fun decor. Service was also 10/10. Definitely stop in if you’re in town and need something quick and easy.

Atmosphere is nice Wish the ac work instead of being hot Service is a joke. Don't know why they ask for a tip when you get paper plates. They bring out the food to your table but barely put it into a good spot with an annoyed look. The person taking your order looks annoyed that you dont know how thier system works. Fries is bland, as it only has a hint of potato. No other seasoning Pizza is okay. Attempt to make unique flavor but is just a disappointment.

I absolutely love this place. You can tell these guys are working hard and take pride in what they produce. If you love crispy great pizza with quality toppings you will adore this place.

If Domino's is 3rd-rate party pizza then this is 2nd-rate, maybe. Try a slice before ordering a full pizza to make sure you like it. Sausage was crumbled, concentrated in the center rather than evenly spread and essentially flavorless. Medium sized pie was undercooked and almost cold in the center. Had to fold the pieces to try and warm up the cold parts...hardly ate it :-/

Nestled in Jackson Hole for more than 45 years, The Blue Lion offers a dining experience that is both timeless and exceptional. Housed in an old wooden cottage, the restaurant exudes a comforting ambiance. The menu features inventive American dishes with a soulful touch, providing gourmet dining in a relaxed setting. Notable for its New Zealand rack of lamb served with rosemary sauce, wild rice, and seasonal vegetables, The Blue Lion promises a delightful culinary journey.
I had a fantastic evening at The Blue Lion with friends, and it was such a warm, inviting spot! We arrived with a small dog, who settled quietly under the table, and the staff were completely fine with it. The vibe of the place is fantastic, with this authentic, historic feel that just draws you in. We loved every bite, from the appetizers to the desserts—everything was spot-on delicious. They also offer non-alcoholic cocktails, which was a huge plus for me! The service was super friendly, and the atmosphere was just perfect. We noticed they have a beautiful outdoor area, but it wasn’t open yet since it’s not quite the season. I can only imagine how amazing it must be to dine out there! Highly recommend swinging by The Blue Lion if you’re looking for great food and a cozy, memorable night out!

Went here last night while in town for business on a suggestion from a business partner and glad I did. I ordered the French onion soup and shrimp scampi that came with a salad. The food was phenomenal with great flavors. I also enjoyed the guy playing guitar while I ate. The service was top notch to boot. Will definitely be back next time.

Been before and return every time we are in the area. As always, very accommodating of my companion who has significant allergies. Server was amazing. Live music was top notch. Brought friends this time who had never been to Jackson. Totally converted them. Excellent Elk, Lamb, and everything else. Masters in their fields.

Had an amazing dinner here with my beautiful wife. Had read many reviews saying this was one of the best restaurants in Jackson and they were not wrong. My wife and I both agreed this was probably one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. The flavours and the preparation of everything was top notch. Stuffed mushrooms, elk medallions and the roast rack of lamb were perfect! Highly recommend

Was very excited to try this place. I came to Jackson Hole to celebrate my birthday and I picked this place after some research regarding the food and experience. I will say I left mildly disappointed in the overall experience I booked this reservation for my birthday via Resy and called ahead weeks before letting them know I was coming to celebrate with my family on 10.7.2025 We had our reservations at 7pm arrived at 6:50pm and were promptly seated at 7pm. Amazing. The atmosphere in the waiting section was great! Very cool historic building When we said down our server was very attentive and guided us through the top favorite dishes. She was very helpful helping us select our starters and our main dishes. We ordered the following: Apps: Elk meatballs Baguette Entree: Two elk tenderloins Two racks of lamb Dessert: Mud Pie The appetizers came very quickly and super tasty. The meatballs had a little kick which I was a very big fan of. The bread came with tasty whipped butter and scallion oil that blended perfectly Our server was super attentive up until this point. I tried to call her attention various times and felt ignored. She kept going to other tables or just chatting with another worker at the bar instead of checking in on us. At one point we had with empty water for 10 minutes. This happened multiple times. I am not sure if this because we were the only people of color having dinner or what but I will tell you I started to not feel comfortable with our treatment. When our entrees came out I felt even more disappointed. The mashed potatoes in the elk tenderloin were tepid and not warm at all. One of the racks of lamb did not have the fat properly rendered while the other was cooked perfectly. This was a very inconsistent for such a high caliber restaurant in this beautiful town. I had to order my birthday dessert and got no recognition from the staff or server. Normally at any restaurant they will give you a candle or at least the words happy birthday on your dessert. I got none of this. After spending over 350 pre tip I will say that if you are looking for a special experience maybe skip this place. I did not feel special or very well looked after.

What a treat. Great food, great service in a comfy old house. Tried and true recipes, standard upscale items. Nice wine list. If you need a solid meal in JH, this is the place. TOO MANY spots now are making plates needlessly complicated, the menu is full of too many adjectives and place-names. Want a great protein with a good sauce and a tasty side/carb? How about a good salad INCLUDED with the entree? GO!

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Grand Teton National Park, Jenny Lake Dining Room offers an upscale yet rustic dining experience. The restaurant features a prix-fixe five-course dinner menu with locally sourced ingredients and an extensive wine selection. Breakfast is also prix fixe, while lunch offers a variety of inventive soups, salads, and burgers made from beef and buffalo. Guests can savor gourmet dishes crafted from organic and locally sourced ingredients amidst the towering pines and pristine lakeshores.
This is insanely good. The mountains just outside the windows, the Dinning Room at Jenny Lake held spectacular menus each night of our stay. We were really impressed by the staff who were always willing to work with us, and provided top notch service. The food was incredible, and each night provided a great assortment of tastes. The rotating menu is great. We also got to see a bear from the window! I’m super excited to come back and try new foods here. Awesome experience!

Not sure why a few poor reviews unless they recently got a new chef. Our food was great 2 nights in a row. Loved our waiter Brady as well and the hostess Abby was really great. Cool mellow vibe in the room. All courses both nights were interesting and delicious. Make reservations.
Master F — Google review
Tl;dr version: ignore the bad reviews, it’s wonderful! After reading some of the recent reviews, we were a little worried about our decision to make reservations for the 5 Course Price Fixe dinner here. Especially since it was 30 minutes from where we were staying at Colter Bay, so it was an hour round trip after a long day. HOWEVER - our concerns were completely unfounded! I have no idea what they experienced, but we’ve eaten in Michelin 1 & 2-Star restaurants in Europe, and this was wonderful food. The ambiance was amazing, and we really wish we’d know about the Lodge when making reservations for our Yellowstone/Tetons vacation. It’s expensive, but we definitely plan on coming to stay in the future. BTW - make reservations far in advance if possible. Dinner is included when you stay here, so there aren’t many extra tables, and we snagged the only open table for the next 2 weeks, and it was at 8pm. Every course was quite good, and I’m comfortable saying that this was by far our best meal all week. The photos should quite reassure anyone who’s thinking of coming to eat. My 2 favorite dishes were the chilled lobster (tasted like it was straight from Maine!), and the prime rib was cooked perfectly for medium rare. Terrific service as well.
Charles P — Google review
Atmosphere and service were incredible but the food itself ranged from awful to mediocre. I will give credit to friendly staff and nice live music. The amuse bouche was bizarre- flavorless “cowboy caviar” served in a Japanese soup spoon. Bread was somewhat stale but overall good. The herb butter was the best part of the meal. This was followed by an appetizer of tempura cauliflower with honey and the saddest looking micro-greens I’ve ever seen. No sauce, just honey. We also had the venison which was really only fine. The soup course was also a disappointment- a spinach soup contained approximately 2 leaves, and a vegetable soup which would have been better if it came from a can. None of the vegetables were cooked. They were crunchy and generally awful. The salads came out with wilted lettuce far past its prime. Only one of the two options had a dressing with any discernible flavor. Then came the mains. The fish was one of the worst things I’ve ever been served and by far the worst at this price point. It was as if it was coated in sawdust and then baked for 2 hours. It was dry, flavorless, and an absolute insult to the poor fish that gave its life to end up on my plate. We also had the steak which was cooked well but lacked flavor and came with under-cooked carrots and a potato which was inexplicably simultaneously raw and burnt. Dessert was underwhelming. The cookies were the most edible part of the meal. I am generally more lenient when a restaurant is so remote, but considering we ate much better food deeper into the park, not even the location is an excuse.

Truly a destination in Teton National Park! You must have reservations to assure seating, but completely worth every effort to see and dine at this special historic restaurant! The decor and views are spectacular and the food and service are world class.

Neglected to take pictures. You automatically have a 5-course pre fixed meal and can’t only get only 2 for example. Lots of food. The food was okay with some pairings that are a bit unusual. The Jenny signature salad was surprisingly good. The servers were particularly skilled and the restaurant is nestled in a spectacularly beautiful area. Cost is $140 per person for meal + beverages

We visited at the very end of season and were disappointed with the food. The steak tacos were not good and overdone. The cream of mushroom soup had a really strange burnt taste. The salad and kids chicken tenders were good. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Nina T — Google review
The service was good but the really overpriced food was absolutely awful. It’s 160 per person and my whole meal was overcooked and burned. So so bad. I will say the desert was good, and I think our server realized our food was nasty so they comped our wine. The atmosphere is great, but sit outside with a glass of wine instead!!

Jackson Lake Lodge

It offers a bustling atmosphere with eclectic decor, making it one of the best music venues in the area. The saloon hosts live music almost every night, featuring both national and local acts.
Best meal we have had in Jackson! Burger was great but the ribs were over the top delicious. Love the huckleberry BBQ sauce.

The service was amazing. Very attentive and on point. As far as food, the wings were burnt. There were a couple not so burnt and those were amazing. The flatbread wasn't very tasty. I was hoping for more. We had the zucchini and olive with pine nuts. We ate the toppings but the tomato sauce tasted like tomato paste and no flavor with a dough that was tough. The burger was really large and cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.

The atmosphere is great, especially to relax outside. I did like the dry rub wings, but not the veggie pizza/flatbread. The mangy moose burger was good and dense so be prepared to be full. Our service was decent, but nothing great. I do recommend this place when in Jackson Hole because of its beautiful location.
Peighton R — Google review
Stopped at Mangy Moose after a long hike in Teton Park hoping for a hearty meal, but it was a letdown. We ordered the nachos, Yoder chopped salad, and ribs. The nachos were massive and had decent flavor, but they were pretty dry—definitely needed more cheese. The Yoder salad was essentially a basic cabbage mix with barely a few bits of kale, and the overly sweet dressing tasted like something from a bottle, not house-made. The ribs were the biggest disappointment—undercooked, lacking flavor, and only somewhat edible after asking for extra BBQ sauce. Service was just okay, with long delays on everything. This felt like one of those typical spots in a ski/hiking village that knows tourists have few dining options and doesn’t put much effort into food or service. Overall, not recommended.
Ali F — Google review
I went here twice in one day for both lunch (outside) and dinner (inside). The food was incredible and the atmosphere was just as good. I had the freebird sandwich for lunch which is a fried chicken sandwich. For dinner I had the elk stroganoff which was a 10/10. I cannot recommend that dish enough. The elk was so tender. I will definitely come back here if I'm ever in Jackson Hole

Lovely little family friendly place with great vibes, staff that sings with you to all the fun music, a great selection of drinks, and great wings. Could hang for hours at the bar, just chatting with everyone.

Taxidermy: 5 Stars. Everything Else? Mangy at Best. Long story short: If you're into taxidermy, tension, and pretzels-Mangy Moose delivers. Just don’t come hungry or expect your burger how you ordered it or prompt service. The "soft" pretzel was anything but. More like petrified parchment twisted into disappointment. Don't bother requesting your burger a certain way-well-done is apparently the chef's one and only option. Proper Pig Flatbread pizza? The only thing proper was the audacity to charge for it. It came out flat, bland, and overpriced—like a disappointing date. Also, don’t buy the message on their website (missing word is their verbatim message) “DELICIOUS, HEARTY, AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY”, “We keep our dinner menu affordable so your can enjoy our eclectic dining room without breaking the bank!” 9 adults, 3 kids (ages 11, 6 & 5) our bill was $405.28. Our server was not easily found during our visit, so forget about getting refills or having unused dishes cleared. And whatever you do, do not try to help by bussing the table yourself. When we brought dishes to the bar-because we actually needed the space for our group-we were met with a snippy, "Sure, just set it up here since she's not already busy enough. Leave it on the table-we'll take care of it for you.” ...Except they didn't. That was kind of the whole problem. Oh, and just before the check comes-not when you're ordering-the server casually drops that they don't split checks. This should really, REALLY be printed in plain sight at all establishments that have this practice. Do with this information what you will…hopefully you have a better experience and ours was an anomaly. Pro tip: Skip the upstairs Mangy Moose mess. Head to the first floor “Mangy Moose Cafe”—smaller menu, better experience, and actually worth every penny.

Restaurant
Pearl Street Bagels is a beloved spot in Jackson Hole, known for its delicious bagels, baked goods, salads, and coffee. With two locations in Jackson and Wilson, it has become a staple for locals and visitors alike. The authentic boiled and baked bagels come in various flavors and are made fresh daily. In addition to the wide selection of bagels, the menu also includes sandwiches, salads, baked goods, organic coffee, and a full espresso bar.
There are several kinds of bagel. You can make it a sandwich or just with some butter or jam. It’s a great sandwich, the tomato and baby Spanish are so fresh. Strongly recommend to enjoy breakfast here once visiting Jackson hole.

Cute little bagel shop in Jackson! Popped in here for a coffee and a bagel breakfast sandwich. Espresso was great and the bagel sandwiches were freshly made. Great for a quick easy breakfast and reasonably priced.
Alexandra K — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal bagels! I asked to have mine toasted and she said there’s no need they come fresh out of the oven and she was not wrong. I had the locks and bagel delicious great coffee also.
Jeanine K — Google review
A true Jackson Hole gem! Pearl Street Bagels instantly reminded me of classic New York bagel shops — the flavor, texture, and quality are spot on! The bagels are perfectly chewy on the outside, soft inside, and made even better by their super fresh toppings and spreads. You can really taste the quality of the produce — everything feels clean, crisp, and delicious. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a must-visit spot in Jackson Hole for anyone craving an authentic NYC-style bagel with a warm local vibe! 🥯💛
Hadar A — Google review
just because bagels are fresh, does not mean you cannot and should not toast them. This “no toasting” policy is promoted as some sort of flex. Whoever came up with it has clearly never lived somewhere that actually has bagels.
K C — Google review
Made a quick pit stop at Pearls for one of their pre-made breakfast bagels before heading out on a hike this morning. Even though sitting in a warmer, it tasted very fresh. Little pricey ($10) but very tasty! Was glad we went. It did seem maybe difficult to find seating if you were dining in. Not a lot of tables inside and just a few outside. This is the everything bagel with sausage, egg, cheese.
Misty B — Google review
Was really excited to try this place out based on previos reviews but I went around 7:40 am and my bagel was super stale. I couldn’t even bite into it. The breakfast bagels are kept under a heated light and are premade which means service is fast but again, I could not even bite into my bagel from how stale it was.

Great bagel / sandwich shop. Super friendly reception at the front cashier...very patient and chill 😍 Great bagels and toppings. Had a couple of coffees and split a turkey provolone bagel and sat in the Sun on the bench in front of the restaurant. Highly recommend. Great restaurant with great friendly staff. Love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Nestled in a refined log-cabin setting with a cozy bar and fireplace, Snake River Grill offers elegantly plated New American dishes. Just a short distance away, visitors can explore Vertical Harvest, the world's only hydroponic vertical greenhouse attached to a parking garage. Despite its high altitude and short growing season, this innovative greenhouse produces an impressive 100,000 pounds of greens and tomatoes annually.
Great restaurant in the historic Square downtown. They have a very interesting and tasty menu. The food was fresh and tasted great. Our server was very attentive. Definitely must try when in the area.
Dave C — Google review
Recommended for the vibes, but not for the food - you choose. Beautiful ambience and attentive service. However, given the price, the food was lacking. The pretzels were not as fluffy or warm as expected, the smoked salmon was overpowered by the potato pancake, the bison was not as tender and the dish was rather monotonous, and the bolognese was rather dry. Attire smart casual or smart. Ambience perfect for a special occasion. Good wine by the glass selections. Make sure you book in advance.
Stelios S — Google review
We celebrated my birthday at Snake River Grill, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere had that perfect upscale-yet-welcoming feel. Dinner was excellent, the salmon and NY steak were both cooked beautifully. A memorable spot for a special occasion in Jackson.
Stacey H — Google review
The snake River Grill was delicious. Please note it is very popular so it’s recommended to make a reservation. Also, I asked if the steak came as a full meal or if I needed to order a side with it. I was told it was a completed meal. That’s definitely not the case. It came with a sauce and garnish. Definitely order a side. Our food was really good and this place is worth going to.

Snake River Grill Jackson,WY. served an outstanding meal tonight. After a nearly two-year renovation, the restaurant reopened on June 2 and was warmly received by its loyal customers. The food was superb, and Carolena's service made for a perfect evening.

Had dinner here with my mother. The hosts and servers were so lovely, they made our night out feel special! The food was amazing as well. Will definitely come back when i visit JacksonHole again!
Evra F — Google review
Food is subpar when considering the price you are paying. Had a $205 32oz Wagyu Bone In Ribeye, absolutely nothing special about it. Have had steaks all across the world and can confidently say this was worst considering the price. Go to any other restaurant in the city, to which, most have a ribeye that will be far cheaper and taste the same if not better. Salmon was extremely average. Interior is nice, and the staff was pretty good. Some failures to explain the dishes, especially the croquettes. Presentation on the croquettes was supposed to be special, but the busser plotted them on the table and smoke was gone in a millisecond. Couple of my buddies missed it and got no explanation on how to eat them with the dips and chicken skin. Also, they had some people come in for halloween dressed in costumes doing a thriller dance??? Sitting here eating $600 dinner with my friends and I have to make sure im out of the way of this dance, and then deal with these people talking to us and trying to “scare” us. Don’t recommend at all - go to Glorietta Trattoria if you want a true fine dining experience where every dish makes your mouth melt.

We tried getting reservations weeks before, but we're unable to do it online. We put ourselves on the wait list, and low and behold, the morning of we were able to get a spot. So thankful that we were able to because this place is amazing! John was our server and he treated us like royalty. We had the trout, and the special of the day which was a mushroom dumpling with table side sauce service. Made us feel really fancy lol We also got the Sunchokes, a little heavy on the sauce, but still delicious regardless. And the star of the show (besides our server) was our appetizer: the steak tartar pizza. O...m..g.. 🤤 so yum. The vibes here are great, the service feels like family and the food and guests are the best

Incredible experience. The staff were super friendly and we really appreciated the managers being able to chat to. The views at spectacular and you are about 5-10 minutes from the lakes which are gorgeous. There are complimentary bikes which was a great ride next to the lake. I loved the scenery and I’m so excited to come back here.

We did not stay at Jenny Lake Lodge, but we had an early morning hike near the lodge. Afterwards, we stopped in for lunch. The exterior had an inviting, cozy look to it and it had the same feel inside. We had Cameron, also the manager working at the time, as our server. He was very pleasant and we enjoyed chatting with him about the area. Our lunch was very tasty. The soup hit the spot after a chilly morning hike. We had Ruby Red Trout tacos, Three Sisters Vegetable soup, French Dip sandwich, and Bison Barley soup.

Our stay at Jenny Lake Lodge was nothing short of outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special thank you to Gracie Chambless, who made our experience truly unforgettable with her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. We had already checked out of the lodge and headed to the airport when our flight was unexpectedly canceled. With just one quick phone call, the team graciously rebooked us a room. By the time we returned, a clean, beautiful room was waiting so we could get a good night’s rest before resuming our travels. That kind of thoughtfulness and efficiency is rare, and it made a stressful situation so much easier. The lodge itself is beautiful, but what makes it exceptional is the team that runs it. We left feeling cared for and appreciated, and we will absolutely return on our next trip to Wyoming. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Jenny Lake Lodge was absolutely unforgettable. The staff was exceptional—every person we encountered went above and beyond to make our trip special, from thoughtful dining service to helpful activity recommendations. The views were breathtaking, with stunning scenery everywhere you turned. One of the unexpected highlights was the access to complimentary cruiser bikes and horseback rides, which added such a fun and unique touch to our experience. Even when the power briefly went out due to a storm, the team handled it with calm professionalism and genuine care, making sure we were comfortable and informed. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and incredibly grateful for the hospitality. Truly a 5-star experience in every way. Thank you, Jenny Lake Lodge!

We stayed at the Jenny Lake Lodge in late September and it was a great change from the typical National Park hotel room. We had our own cabin and was about the size of a larger hotel room. Cabins are about 20 yards apart and within an easy walk to the office/restaurant. Close to several trailheads and the night skies are perfect. It's a bit pricey but very satisfied and I would recommend.

Such a cute place! Took their bikes to Jenny Lake which is so close by! The view is outstanding, the Tetons were so close! Cabins are rustic yet nice! Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Service is amazing! A definite must if you are in the area!
Debbie E — Google review
We passed the Lodge a couple of times while looking for parking in the god-forsaken Jenny Lake area on a late summer weekend. At one point I stopped in for some water and to use the bathroom, which they were cool with. After we finally parked a few hours (yes, hours) later and completed our hike, we went back over to the Lodge to see if we could just get a drink. We noticed that dinner was pre-fixe and reservations only, and that the restaurant hadn't even opened yet for the evening. But, we decided to ask about drinks anyway, and we were pleasantly surprised when they said we could absolutely order some drinks and sit out on the sunny porch. The very friendly hostess showed us a drink menu, took our orders, and brought the beverages out to the porch for us. Given how overrun the Grand Tetons were, this was a nice quiet respite after a long day, which is more akin to the types of hiking and interactions I have here in the East. I didn't get a good look at the dining room or the food options, so I cannot comment on that or the lodging.

Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily with options like eggs Benedict and fried chicken and waffles for brunch.
Authentic cafe experience. Food was unique and portion was good. The candied bacon salad was great, I added a chicken thigh, and it came out as a full meal. Awesome meal and nice atmosphere

We came to Café Genevieve for breakfast and it was delicious. I got the s’mores French toast, which was fantastic. The Buffalo sausage links were really good and are a must. We were able to eat outside, which was really fun for the ambience. There’s only one bathroom for this restaurant so be forewarned.

This was an excellent breakfast spot. We sat in a nice outdoor seating area, so I’m not sure what the inside looked like. The weather was perfect outside and the scenery was beautiful. Jackson looks like you’re on a movie set, with the mountains rising high behind the buildings. For our breakfast, we had the Belgian Waffle (with berries and whipped cream), and the Cajun Eggs Benedict (with potatoes). Thankfully the wife n I like to share, so I got to enjoy both. And both were delicious. The waffle was crisp and fluffy, the berries were fresh, and the whipped cream was just the right amount of sweet. The eggs Benedict were full of flavor. The hollandaise sauce was excellent, and the potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. The only downside to our visit was the service was a little slow at times (getting our order in and getting our check), but everything else was great. We would definitely recommend a visit if you’re ever in beautiful Jackson.

This was a cute little restaurant. Came here with some friends to try out something new. This place is a little more pricey. My wife said that here food was just ok. My Rueben sandwich was delicious. I enjoyed the house made chips as well. The server was always very kind and provided us great service.

I was passing through the state with my family. We were seated right away, no wait time. I forgot to take pictures of their dishes but I was able to snap a picture of my Avocado Toast. It was delicious, no doubt. I finished the plate leaving the ketchup. Overall, that was the best avocado toast I ever had. Must try if you haven’t yet!!

My son and I are on vacation here in Jackson Hole, WY and decided on coming here based on what the hotel staff suggested. The food was pretty good. We put in our order and in about 2 or 3 minutes, the food was brought to us. The atmosphere, though, was the opposite. I could just tell that people here are not used to black people as we are the only ones we have seen since visiting here. Our female waitress seemed to be in her 50s or late 40s. I noticed how bubbly and conversational she was with the non-black patrons versus how she was with me and my son. She wasn't rude. It just seemed forced when she did try to interact with us. It made the experience a little uncomfortable, especially for my son whose introvertedness is much worst than mine. We're going to be here another 6 days, and I already know how we will be treated based off of this experience alone.
Alexis S — Google review
We ate breakfast here twice it was so good! You have to get the cajun eggs benedict, cajun biscuits and gravy, and buffalo sausage link. The candied bacon was also unique so we had to try it, but for $14 it’s a bit expensive and some of our pieces were burnt black so we didn’t eat those. On our second visit our meals were served barely warm so not sure what happened with that but still great food!
Meg C — Google review
They will only divide the bill by 4, so if you have a party larger than 4 be prepared to figure out how to split the bill. They don't tell you in advance, they have it in writing on the menu.

Teton Thai in Teton Village is a family-run restaurant known for its rustic atmosphere and diverse menu, which includes vegan and vegetarian options. Despite its small size, the restaurant's authentic Thai dishes like Dumpling Soup and Panang Curry have made it a popular choice among both locals and visitors.
Came here after receiving a recommendation from a local. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Thai restaurant in Teton, but was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't busy so was able to pick an outside table. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered Salad Rolls, Laab, Pad Woon Sen, and Tom Kha Gai to be shared at the table. Everything came out within 15 minutes and was freshly made. Food was much better than expected. I would definitely come back for a good meal in Teton Village.

Tasty Thai food in the heart of Teton Village! We stopped here for lunch during our e-bike ride, and it was the perfect mid-ride break. The restaurant has a cozy, charming vibe with scenic views—highly recommend sitting on the patio if the weather’s nice. The staff was warm and welcoming. We tried the Yellow Curry with tofu and Red Curry with chicken, both at spice level 3, and they were delicious with just the right kick. The spring rolls were served hot and perfectly crispy. Biking and Thai food turned out to be an unexpectedly perfect pairing🙂

Teton Thai was hands down THE best Thai food we have ever had and the best restaurant in town! We got the Salad Rolls and Pad Woon Sen with pork! Our waiter Jared suggested the meal and we were not disappointed! The Pad Thai was incredibly fresh and flavorful! We will definitely be back!

Wow, surprised how great Thai food was for being so remote. Had Tom Yum soup and a salad rolls. Soup was a 3/5 in spice and that was plenty. Spicy and temperature hot while flavorful, I enjoyed emery bite. The salad rolls were refreshing served w a warm sauce that hit the spot, I could have had more sauce and they serve a ton. Outdoor seating was great, service was good. Would def hit this spot

We found Teton Thai after a day hike in Death Canyon. This place is delicious and in a beautiful location! I got the chicken Fried Rice and it was amazing! Fantastic Thai restaurant located in Teton Village. Chef owned and she is a multiple James Beard finalist. Solid cocktail menu, great appetizers. We had the frying tiger. But most importantly the mains were amazing. We had the green curry with chicken and BBQ pork with sticky rice. The curry was a 1 and the pork was a 2 on hotness scale. Could have done more. But 2 really let the flavor shine through and it was fantastic.

Thai food hit the spot after a long day hiking and on a cold evening! The chefs are all from Thailand and the flavors are spot on. Ps. Be mindful of the spice level you order. We ordered a 3 out of 5 and it had my nose running! 😅 the spice is real. Tom yum soup stole the show!

What a gem! We arrived starving for food after our hike in the Tetons. The wait was quiet long, but the food was absolutely worth it. We tried the summer rolls and fried rice varieties. Everything tasted fresh and yummy! Chocolate cake was perfect, moist and not overly sweet. We sat outside and loved the experience. A must try if you are in the area.

Transportation in Grand Teton National Park

Getting around Grand Teton National Park can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Nearby airports

Jackson Hole Airport

Airport
Jackson Hole Airport is a small airport located in the northwestern part of Wyoming, serving as the gateway to Grand Teton National Park and the Teton mountains. The airport offers a slightly turbulent but safe landing experience with its unique location cruising over rugged peaks. Visitors can easily navigate to and from the airport, with car rental companies available on-site or accessible via shuttle. Various airlines offer direct flights from different cities, making it convenient for travelers.
One of the best airports I’ve ever been to. It felt so welcoming — almost like being at home. Everyone was friendly, there was no rushing or stress, and the whole atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The views around the airport are absolutely breathtaking, and the parking couldn’t be more convenient — it’s right outside the door. Honestly, I wish more airports were like this one.
R — Google review
Easily one of my top airports in the US. This is for the combination of scenery, simplicity, organization, cleanliness, friendliness of all staff, facilities, waiting area, no lines, parking area, pickup and drop-off areas, not crowded, and being in a National Park. It was easily worth the cost and option of flights when visiting Jackson Hole or Yellowstone. You can't beat flying in and seeing Grand Teton, walking out on the runway, and walking through an antler arch to start off your trip. If possible, I'd recommend flying into Jackson versus other airports and driving in.
LeWayne B — Google review
One of the most scenic airports in the U.S.! Jackson Hole Airport offers stunning views of the Teton Mountains right from the terminal. It’s clean, modern, and easy to navigate, with a cozy, lodge-like feel that reflects the Wyoming landscape. Security lines are usually quick, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Bonus: great local artwork and a relaxed vibe that sets the tone for a great trip to the Tetons or Yellowstone. Highly recommend flying in or out of JAC if you’re visiting the area!
Ryan — Google review
Clean and lots of seats. Past that, not much to be proud of. The views are amazing. 2 hrs early is overkill. Rental cars are available. Location of airport is good. Hard to find a convenient flight
MATTHEW S — Google review
This airport has THE BEST scenic views I have ever seen! The Grand Teton Mts are the backdrop once inside, but the landing.. the landing gives even better breathtaking sceneries that your poor eyes cannot take it all in! The lines.. what lines? It is small, yet service is very efficient. And the design.. Oh, my! The warm, brown hues used throughout are what gives it its natural charm. I actually kept driving back to the airport just to get pictures of the surroundings! It's truly breath-taking 😍 Update: I subtracted one star because during my check-in for departure their TSA agents were very rude.
Alexis S — Google review
Easy arrivals and departures. Well maintained airport. Good connections via Chocago and Salt Lake. Coffee shop available for quick breakfast. Easy to move through from checkin through security.
David B — Google review
Definitely the best airport. Super customer service. Clean, beautiful, quiet...!
Seta K — Google review
We typically don't review airports, but the Jackson Hole airport is an exception. This is by far the nicest regional airport that we've ever been to. This airport is actually owned by the town, and it's stunningly beautiful. It's also the only airport situated in a national park. Our key suggestion is that if you're not renting a car, make sure your transportation is set before you arrive, as it can be tricky to get a ride from the airport on a busy weekend.
