Had called on a Saturday night to make sure they could accommodate my allergies. We arrived 90 minutes later and they were full for the night for walk up. We came back Sunday. Called for reservations once we knew what time we could get here. Reservations were booked but we joined the walk up list. So glad we came back to try again. The service and food were excellent. Wish they could ship to the east coast. The beers are well worth stopping in. The staff are all friendly! Our server was attentive and even other staff would stop by and check in. All of our meals were delicious. Wish we had more time to try more. If we are ever back in this area we would definitely eat here again no questions asked. Entire family enjoyed our meal here. Thank you to all the staff and we hope to come back some day. Even better if you start shipping please let us know.

This was a perfect post-Yosemite dinner. We sat at the bar and enjoyed it so much we dined here two nights in a row. I believe it was Dave who served us and he was wonderful. Really attentive and overall great customer service. I ordered the Pickle Rick beer and loved it so much I ordered two tall cans to go so I can have it when I return home. We also ordered the buffalo wings with the IPA got sauce and a burger. I came back for the pickle Rick beer I wish they had this in LA!!
Julia T — Google review
We tried every single beer and not one of them disappointed. The pecan pie brown beer and the pale ale stood out for us. We came every night after hiking around Yosemite. Rare to find a place with amazing beer AND food. Everything we tried was delicious. On top of that, great waiters. We’ll for sure make a trip back.
Tiff E — Google review
Ordered burgers, one smash and the other regular, both were pretty good, but not memorable. The fries were very good and the sweet potato fries were down right awesome. Where the burgers lacked notoriety, the service made up for it. The outdoor patio was excellent and dog friendly. Overall a positive experience. If we did not have our dog, I might find another place to try.
Jesse C — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty, filling and served with a friendly welcome. The team were nice and the whole place had a great atmosphere it was totally packed. Wise to book in advance if you have time.
Philip J — Google review
Had a chance to visit South Gate Brewing Company on our last day of a Yosemite trip. I'm so glad we did. They have a large selection of beer made in the facility and the food was amazing. The brussel sprouts were out of this world. The Mountaineer pizza is amazing with a perfect crust. The fish and chips is excellent with perfect fries. I highly recommend any of these dishes.
Gordon L — Google review
This is our first time to Yosemite, and I asked for a recommendation for dinner. We were totally not disappointed! The South Gate Brewing company has a fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious fresh, locally brewed beer. On top of all this, the menu has a wide array of possibilities. The food was extremely flavorful. I would definitely make this a stop while in the Yosemite area!!
B G — Google review
Great eatery for locals and tourists alike. Classic pub food, inviting atmosphere, and friendly service. There's a varied menu with something for most tastes, and plenty of wine and tap beer options. Happy Hour is from 2-5pm M-F, and there's also a 1/2-off Wine Wednesday on glasses and bottles.

Fresno Flats Historical Village & Park

Local history museum
Museums
Fresno Flats Historical Village & Park in Oakhurst, California offers a glimpse into 19th-century life in the Central California mountains. The museum complex features restored homes, one-room schools, jail buildings, and farm structures typical of the era. Visitors can explore two fully furnished houses - a log cabin and a clapboard merchant's home - both dating back to the 1870s.
Very cute, maybe haunted. Great for a picnic or interesting place to take pictures. I came on a Sunday and the buildings were closed but I did a self guided tour and had a great time. The new art installation of the native American mother and baby is beautiful. I'll definitely be back. I would really like to see in the print shop that has old printing presses.
Alissa K — Google review
really great place to visit if u wanted to see more about places 100+ years. i like how the staff of this museum were friendly, they explained everything in detail and if there were questions, they answered them. I also liked the fact that many things were preserved in good condition.

Would recommend stopping by. It's a quick stop and very informative about the history of Fresno Flats/Oakhurst. We showed up after hours, but the caretaker was there and had no problem showing us around. Really enjoyed, would stop by again if I'm near by again

IT IS VERY COOL THAT ALL THESE HISTORIC BUILDINGS HAVE BEEN RELOCATED IN ONE LOCATION TO PRESERVE THE HISTORY OF THIS AREA... WE LOVED THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM THAT TELLS THE HISTORY OF EACH BUILDING...

A cool little historical park in Oakhurst with a fee historical buildings and artifacts.
Brendan K — Google review
Fresno Flats is a little sentimental to me personally as my grandfather was born and raised here, as was I, and to be able to see and learn and just be able to admire the history is amazing. The place is very well maintained, and full of life. I got to partake in a family friend's family reunion, and what a blast and great place for such an event. Everyone enjoyed themselves from grandparents to young children playing tag in the roomy center. The building used to set up food was wonderful, kitchen access, and air conditioning was great in 103' weather. Really enjoyed ourselves, will definitely be back for the next family event.
Jessica H — Google review
Fantastic tour! Our guide Mike was nice and professional. He was very thorough and took time to share valuable historical insights. We bought his impressive vintage cards which were well done! Great job and thanks again guys. Highly recommended!
Ron R — Google review
I like this kind of places. It shows us a little bit of the history. Unfortunately we didn’t have chance to see buildings from inside. But we saw the main museum and the historical village itself. Great atmosphere. The volunteer who was guide as was very invested in the history of the town. Great place. Mostly recommend!!!

Stopped here for lunch after visiting Yosemite. Their wine and food are delicious! Excellent price on the tasting. They had nice dry reds that we liked. The server was friendly. Tables inside and outside. Plenty of parking. Would highly recommend!

Traveling through Oakhurst, we stopped to have a little lunch on a Saturday, and it was absolutely delightful. We had a wine tasting, a couple of sandwiches with phenomenal salads, and we would definitely be back again. The service was super pleasant, and it's pet friendly.

It was such a wonderful and happy time. It was our first trip to the West Coast with my parents, and after long, tiring days of driving, this experience made it all worthwhile. Every dish was prepared with such care, and the excellent wine and outstanding service made it truly unforgettable. Thank you for giving us such a memorable experienc

This is an absolute must visit, the winery to the food. We had the best experience! We love you guys Teri

This place is truly a hidden gem in the mountains. We had a delicious and wonderful dinner here with a really great staff and wine! I believe Jamie was the waitress we had and they were extremely helpful and friendly. The wine was great, a lot of grape varietals I enjoy that they made into blends which was refreshing to try. We had a few shareables, all really yummy and then the ribeye as our main meal, also great. We then shared the special dessert, a fresh apple pie—so good!! They also have some house cats on the property that were very friendly and made the place feel more homely. Wish we had come earlier to do a tasting but highly suggest coming for dinner, fresh and delicious!!
Julia R — Google review
Delicious, amazing, definitely go if you are anywhere close! We were staying at the Queen’s Inn and I’m so glad we choose to have dinner here. Service was great in addition to the food. Price seemed very reasonable, we paid just over $100 for appetizer, 2 entrees & a bottle of wine. Most of the seating is outside in a cute shaded patio.
Nicole R — Google review
Please visit this place if you are nearby! My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch. We each got the wine tasting, spicy Margherita flatbread, papas, and the torte! Each wine in the tasting just kept getting better and the reds paired fantastically with the torte! The flatbread and papas were a perfect shareable size. We walked out a little tipsy and completely full. We can't wait to visit the next time we are out in Oakhurst again!
Olivia M — Google review
I wish I could rate Idle Hour higher than just 5 stars because they are just that exceptional!! My wife and I chose to host our dinner reception for our elopement on the patio and we couldn’t have made a better choice. Jen was amazing to work with throughout the planning process and took the time to talk with us as we planned everything from Texas. She executed our vision perfectly and even provided linens for the tables and flowers that fit into our color scheme. She personally cut and served our wedding cake to our guests and provided a speaker so we could have music while we dined. That was just the service. The FOOD was the star of the show!! Everyone raved about how amazing everything tasted. We had a grazing table set up for cocktail hour, then garden and Caesar salads, focaccia bread with butter and olives, then freshly grilled chicken, ribeye, and shrimp accompanied by asparagus, house made chimichurri, and smoked romesco for dinner. I cannot stress enough just how delectable all of it was. No one left hungry and I can also say that the leftovers were amazing as well!! We even went back a few days later to purchase a bottle of wine to save for our anniversary. Whether you are in town visiting or looking for a lovely spot to host a private dinner, Idle Hour is a must!

I was in town for the half marathon race and saw posters everywhere promoting their performance of Matilda. I loved it! Very talented singers and performers! I loved the show! The price was very affordable which surprised me. The decorations were fun! The kids performing (30+ of them) did such a great job!!! Great work by all, the directors, choreographers, performers, lights and audio directors, costumes crew, everyone 👏🏼👏🏼 I love that this community has such a lovely option of something recreational and creative.

As a local theatre with a long history, this group is amazing.....and professional and GCT eraned the award for Best Live Theatre in the central valley! If you are looking for great live theatre, this is the place. If you are looking to hone your craft on stage, this is also the place!! Come check it out!!

Always a fun time. Great cast, costumes and set! Fun choreography and music. Spontaneous audience interaction makes it even better!

Love coming up to see plays here! The kids (and adults) do a great job in their roles. There is a lot of talent here! Everyone does such a great job making it enjoyable. You're greeted like everyone's been waiting to see you, which is always a lovely touch. View from any seat is usually pretty solid. Tickets arent expensive at all. Great options for snacks and drinks, too!
Cera B — Google review
I've definitely, over the last few years, become a huge supporter of our local theater. Such talent in this community!!! I will happily go back and support them at least three to four times per year. It's become a very therapeutic getaway for sure. Mandatory on your bucket list!!

Just watched Lil" Abner on 7-6-2025 with my wife we and loved it . Great cast of adults, teens and kids and very well done. Keep this theatre going in Oakhurst as it is vital to the area. Once it's gone it's gone.....
Larry S — Google review
This is a hard review for me to write. I say this because, I absolutely love this small town theater concept. The theater is absolutely darling. Charming antique furniture and accessories line the hallway entrance. The theater itself, reminds me of a renovated barn. The stage is really big as well. Seldom do theaters at this level, have such a tremendous area to work with. They did a great job with prop design and the actors... the actors were incredible! Such talent! The food, which was catered by a local cafe, was flavorful and rich. All of these things make it difficult for me to be critical in any way, but...... the theater was cold. Most people needed to wear their jackets by the time dinner arrived. We arrived at 615, doors open at 6, the appetizers were completely gone. It would have been nice to bring them out periodically on trays. There was one hot tray being walked around but by the time it got to us, there were only 3 apps left. The drinks from the bar seemed to be a concoction of whatever was available at that time. I could have dealt with all of these things if it were not for the one big thing that happened that I absolutely cant ignore. When I made my reservations, I selected seats side by side with my hubby. We don't get a lot of alone time together and this seemed like it was going to be a great night for us. And we knew there would be others at our table but we would have at least been able to focus on us, if we were side by side. When we were seated though, they had changed our seating. We were seated across from each other between two other couples. We couldn't hear each other talk, and, honestly, I really wasn't interested in hearing the other couples conversations. I am a bit more tolerable but, this was the end all for my hubby. We looked forward to this night. We didnt say anything because the other couples were used as a part of the show. It is something that should have been considered before changing up seating without permission from paying guests. That was disappointing. I am torn by whether we will be back. As much as I love certain things, the last issue I spoke of, may be the deal breaker. We drove an hour to come to this and l left with a very irritated hubby that I spent the rest of the evening apologizing to, for thinking this was going to be a great night for just the two of us to enjoy.
Mandy K — Google review
Very nice theater, large stage, passionate performance. This was my first time to visit this theater and I was very impressed. We saw "Oliver." Characters: Fagen, The Dodger, and Nancy stole the show with their outstanding performances. It was a lengthy musical but was delivered well by all. Stage props were good and the story was easy to follow. I really enjoyed this musical and am anxious to attend another one. I will be sure to select a chair in the front section that faces the stage rather than sitting sideways at a long table and having to look around the people in front of me. If you want to be genuinely entertained by some passionate actors, and support a local theater, attend a show at the Golden Chain. You won't be disappointed.

With over five decades of experience, this charming shop offers an impressive selection of handmade candies and ice cream that captures the essence of Old-World charm. Wow, the ice creams are delicious, the place is fantastic, the place is wonderful, besides ice cream you can find candy and some souvenirs. I recommend the coconut and pistachio ice cream, the staff is very nice and attentive, you have some tables inside the place where you can enjoy your ice cream or outside there are a couple of benches. After the walk through the valley this is the perfect place, there is plenty of parking. Do not hesitate to visit this place, you will not regret it. Greetings.
Yayo — Google review
(You can mix the flavors into a cone or shake and they have a selection of ice cream) We loved the milkshakes! And the place is cute with friendly staff. [I don't know if you can tell but their candy apples are HUGE too]
Bastets C — Google review
The moment I stepped into the store, I was hit by an intoxicatingly sweet aroma, the kind that pulls you straight into a nostalgic sugar high. Then came the visuals: shelves bursting with candy, including some old-school gems I haven’t seen in over a decade. Chocolate, gummies, the works, it’s a confectionery time capsule. We came specifically for the ice cream, thanks to the hype. Was it the best I’ve ever had? Not quite. But it wasn’t bad either, just didn’t live up to the fanfare for me. Would I go out of my way to come back? Probably not. But if it’s your first visit, I’d say it’s worth experiencing once, if only to be swept up in the sweet chaos.
Rosana S — Google review
Great homemade ice cream flavors! I savored the Sierra wild blackberry and honey lavender ice cream in a homemade waffle cone 😋. Although out of the way, definitely worth the drive from the Valley.
Melissa A — Google review
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS ICE CREAM! The candy looked great . Servings aren't super big. Resort prices. Great variety. I wish we had found it sooner in Oahhurst because it was difficult choosing from the favorites. They have delicious Gelato flavors too. Two friends had ooey-gooey (sp) and couldn't stop talking about it! I had banana walnut and dark chocolate chip Gelato. The strawberry 🍓 had chunks af real strawberries. They had some neat souvenirs as well. I purchased a baby Giant Sequoia tree! Guess we will see if the Carolinas can grow a giant!
K M — Google review
We stopped here for a treat after a long day of hiking in Yosemite. Each of our family of 4 got 2 scoops on a cone: 1 sugar cone, 1 cake cone and 2 waffle cones. The waffle cones are an extra $1 but with it if you like waffle cones. They are made in-house and you can smell them when you walk in. They let you try samples and have a good variety of flavors. The ice cream was good, but not amazing. Maybe if depends on the flavor you get. The girls were very friendly and sweet. Cute spot to stop by and it’s nice to support local.
Bonnie T — Google review
My husband and I always enjoy the Reimer’s in Three Rivers on our way to and from the Sequoia National Park. This last trip to CA, we went up to Yosemite and were so excited to see a Reimer’s in Oakhurst! We stopped in the gift shop on our way out of town, loved looking around the shop, and had an amazing conversation with Jamal, who was such a beautiful soul to talk to. It was definitely encouraging seeing staff is so welcoming across locations and visits to the different store fronts, and I can’t wait to go back during our next trip out!
Anya L — Google review
After a long day of hiking in Yosemite, I was seriously craving some ice cream as a reward — and we stumbled upon Reimer’s Candies & Gifts on our drive back to the hotel. What a gem! It looked like they were open an hour past closing, and I was so grateful for the unexpected treat. Ms. D was absolutely lovely and made the experience even sweeter. I enjoyed chatting with her while trying to narrow down my choices — not an easy task with so many delicious options! I ended up with two scoops of gelato: birthday cake on top and salted caramel dark chocolate underneath (a wise suggestion from Ms. D, since the birthday cake was sweeter). She described the birthday cake flavor as tasting like the vanilla frosting on store-bought cookies — and she was spot on. It was exactly what I was looking for. The salted caramel dark chocolate was unlike any version of that flavor I’ve ever had — rich, balanced, and uniquely delicious. This stop was a total highlight of the day, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Yosemite. Highly recommend!

The distillery, owned by Ally and Michael Benbrook, offers guided tours of its 1,200-square-foot production area where they craft various spirits such as limoncello and whiskey. Great owner who knows his craft. Enjoyable tasting and cocktails at a good price. Cocktails are $8 and tasting are $12 or $15. A nice hour stop from rain or the woods for a relaxing environment.

This is a legit small batch tasing experience. I sat with he owner and tasted a nice group of Whiskeys. Great location and a tasty product, delivered with a smile and nice conversation. They care about the product and they care that you care about their product. Does it get any better??
Drew S — Google review
Definitely check this distillery out when you're in the area. Mike is both passionate about his craft, and a good host, with good conversation. A wide variety of choices, we particularly enjoyed the rye and the lavender vodka. We bought a bottle of each and have enjoyed them at home. I plan to return and if you have any doubts, shelf them and go!
Weston M — Google review
This place is awesome. Gorgeous and spacious patio. I tried the lavender vodka, the gin, they rye, and the bourbon. All good but my faves are a toss up between the bourbon and the rye. Mike greeted us and made us feel at home. I definitely recommend!
Trisha S — Google review
This is a must stop in Oakhurst. Mike is a great and knowledge distiller. Both the tasting flight and cocktails were superb. Mike knows what he’s doing at the whiskeys reflect that. We will be stopping again when in town!
Patrick M — Google review
What a treat to be able to share a few hours discovering unique spirits made in our own mountain community! The owner was hospitable, engaging, and tolerant of those of us who know little about the distillery process and different tastes of alcohol. Our group unexpectedly had the place to ourselves, resulting in a lively, laugh-filled, enjoyable afternoon. I highly recommend you stop in!
J. M — Google review
Sadly I would NEVER recommend this establishment! My friend and I were traveling and looking for somewhere to have a drink after spending the day in Yosemite. We wandered into this establishment and were not even acknowledged upon entering. It appears by the pictures posted the owner was behind the bar and he was speaking to a couple seated in front of him. We thought , ok he will finish what he’s saying and at least ask us if we would like to have a seat or order, or really just Hello and welcome. After we stood there for a few minutes feeling completely uncomfortable as if we had walked into a private party we left. He still didn’t acknowledge us leaving! I would NOT give this business a single dollar! Customer service goes a long way these days... especially when recovering from COVID19 shutdown.

My favorite place to do axe throwing hands down. I love coming here whenever I visit Oakhurst/Yosemite. It’s an awesome location with indoor and outdoor lanes. The guides or staff are always incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We heard the owner was in a competition the exact day last time we were here and hope he performed well!! They’re very reasonably priced and I have never been where it’s too busy that it’s overwhelming whatsoever. Free parking in the front. Can’t ask for much more.

My husband and I had such a great time here! If you have passed this place on your way to Yosemite and wanted to try it, (like us) this is your sign to go! We had so much fun and our instructor was awesome!!! We are definitely going again on our next Yosemite trip! 🎯😄

This was my first time! It was soooo much fun!!! Jennifer was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable, when I was at first a little uneasy using an axe!! . She is awesome I appreciated her continuing to help us through out the whole experience and would check up on us often giving us helpful tips. I would highly recommend this place. Definitely bringing family and friends back here.

Great little spot for some fun. Brought our nephews, and they had a great time. A must stop before or after heading to Yosemite. Will definitely be back when in the area. Also, some awesome information is that the owner cuts the tree rounds for months of axe throwing.

This was the best local experience! My husband and I are visiting from Colorado and brother from Pennsylvania along with our dog. I sent an email asking if they were pet friendly and received an immediate response, yes! Jennifer was our coach and did an exceptional job walking us through techniques. We had a great experience and highly recommend locals and tourists to visit! I can’t wait to return home and set up an Ace throwing target on our property to continue the fun.

Had a great time. Decided to do this last minute and let me tell it was the right choice. The staff member was very kind and helpful. My partner and I got a wee bit competitive but the game itself was fun. We had a blast and bonus got a great food recommendation to close out a great axe throwing night!

For over 30 years, this award-winning restaurant has been serving globally-inspired cuisine prepared with locally sourced seasonal and organic ingredients from nearby Central Valley farms. This is probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had— I would say, once in a lifetime (though I really hope not!). We splurged for a special occasion and I’ll never regret it. Every detail was special. The menu even had our names printed on it when we arrived. Really cute and classy, and the wine selection was tops.

Great family dinning experience at the Chateau du Sureau. Accommodated the menu for vegetarians and provided amazing service in the cellar. Great atmosphere and pleasant time while visiting Yosemite!

I went to celebrate my birthday by myself and I loved the atmosphere the bartender was amazing! I loved that he made especial cocktails that i have never tried before, but I was really disappointed with the food. It tasted great, but I did find a hair in my food. The bartender felt really bad and he took it off my tab. I forgot his name, but he was amazing. Im really thankful for the way he treated me. Made me feel comfortable.
Elva C — Google review
We recently dined at a high end restaurant that delivered an overall enjoyable experience, though it came with a hefty price tag. The ambiance and service were top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure everything felt smooth from start to finish. We decided to try a signature drink with each course, which added a fun twist to the evening. We had an Old Fashioned, a hibiscus margarita, a kiwi inspired cocktail, and an espresso with dessert. The drinks were good and well made, but none of them were truly memorable on their own. The standout of the night was the ahi tuna crudo course. It was absolutely delicious, especially paired with the melon. The balance of flavors was spot on and it was easily the most memorable dish. Dessert was also very good and left us with a sweet final impression. While the food was solid and some moments were excellent, the total—around five hundred dollars for two people—felt a bit much for a dinner that left us still wanting a bit more in terms of portion or wow factor. If you are in the mood to explore and splurge, this spot is worth a visit. If you do not have the money to spare, you are definitely missing out, but maybe not on something life changing.

This was probably our top dining experience ever! The room transports you to a romantic, charming European setting. We sat next to a beautiful fireplace, and the mantle was adorned with holiday boughs and candles. Wow! We splurged on the caviar and perfectly prepared warm bellinis. So worth it. The chefs muse bouche was creative, delicious and astonishing, plated on a ponderosa pine bark, that had been coated with resin. What a delightful reminder, that we are surrounded by magnificent trees. Each course had a wine pairing, and everything was described in extraordinary detail, which added to the deliciousness of each bite. I can’t tell you my favorite dish, because they were all amazing. Be sure to share with your dining partners. I also have to admit, we went to the happy hour in the bar the night before. The bar menu is completely different and we were also delighted with the delicious sea bass croquets and olive oil poached halibut. I also have to mention that the bartender was a true cocktail artisan and it was so fun to see him make our smoked bourbon drinks and the Grinch macha infused vodka. We live in San Diego and would easily drive the 7 hours just to experience this lovely restaurant again! Thank you chef and staff!

An absolutely outstanding fine dining experience near Yosemite! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional without ever feeling rushed. Every detail from the beautifully plated dishes to the thoughtfully curated wine list was exceptional. The flavors were balanced, creative, and clearly made with the highest quality ingredients. What stood out most was how seamless the entire evening felt. The staff anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and each course arrived perfectly timed. It’s rare to find this level of service and culinary excellence in such a stunning setting. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want a memorable meal after a day in Yosemite, this restaurant is a must. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time

The service and atmosphere here are excellent, top notch even, but the food is just okay. For the high price I expect the food to be perfect and it wasn't. The meal was served in a pre fix style instead of al la carte and I got the 3 course meal which came with 3 extras as well. It was $110. The sorrel sauce in the amuse bouche was horrendously salty. I love salt and don't shy away from it, but this was just inedible. This was like someone made a mistake measuring the salt and tripled the recipe. I couldn't even finish 1/3rd of it. The following salad was nice, the pea puree was almost too salty as well but not nearly as extreme and instead it balanced the bitter herbs well. The hamachi crudo was excellent, zero complaints, no notes. The house made bread was nothing notable but it was good. The Ribeye was fantastically tender and cooked perfectly to the temp I requested. The steak was paired with morel mushroom and ramps, both of which were disappointing. I've had morels countless times and really love their unique flavor, these tasted like they were fried in steak grease. There was zero mushroom flavor (let alone morel flavor), only meat flavor. Similarly ramps are fantastic the way they are, instead these were pickled which really destroyed their delightful garlicky onion taste. Also there was only 1 small ramp and only 3 tiny morels. I can get steak anywhere, give me more ramps and morels! After the main course was a strawberry curd dessert, essentially a lemon bar but with strawberry and rhubarb with a sesame crust. It was simple and I mean that in a good way. The curd was refreshing after the heavy steak and it's texture was divine. Five star dessert. The last extra treats were pear and blueberry pâtes de fruit, basically house made gummies. They were a nice thought though neither tasted much like their respective fruit and the pear pâte was much more bitter than I ever would have expected for a fruit dessert. It was kind of metallic. Having never had a pâte de fruit I'll just assume that's how it's supposed to be, I guess. Could be better. I can't help but imagine a welch's fruit snack with a touch of angostura bitters would be better. I suspect this place is capable of better though I won't be back. All the little extras from the chef seemed like experiments that weren't quite polished yet, though they nailed most of the main portions of the meal.

Stumbled upon this fairytale French chateau while searching for dining spots on a Yosemite trip, and I’m so glad I did! The staff were polite and the service was excellent. The food was good, and the whole place has such a charming, elegant vibe. I just wish I had more daylight to explore the estate, it looks absolutely stunning. Definitely a memorable spot worth visiting!

Oakhurst Community Park

Mentioned on

Park
Oakhurst Community Park is a grassroots initiative by Oakhurst residents, offering various sports pitches for soccer, volleyball, basketball, and baseball. It's a popular spot for both relaxed and active outdoor activities. The park features a large wooden bridge over the creek that children love to walk across, along with a climbing wall and slides. Situated off main streets, it's well-maintained with ample space for play or leisurely walks.
Such a fun little town. Perfect place to stay before heading to Yosemite. They had a fall festival whe. We were there. So fun! Great restaurants around the area.
E J — Google review
This park is absolutely delightful to be a part of in the daytime. You can see many businesses from the main area, which is nice to be able to plan out your next activity(ies) for the day. Word of advice, though: don't go alone. Always be with another person. Once the sun sets, it's time to get outta dodge, as they say. What would get a 5-star from me is if the county would position a member or two of law enforcement from dusk until dawn. There have been improvements, and I'm not denying that. This area used to be considered unsafe at most times. Community event presence and efforts from our community have definitely made improvements to this park. There are plenty of walking trails that branch out from the park, but again: be smart, travel in a group. Daytime is WAY better for visiting this facility. As for bathrooms: they're locked 95% of the time (for reasons you may have ascertained from this review), but thankfully, if the library is open while you are there, they're usually very kind about offering their restroom for you to use. Other than that: bring your family, enjoy the play area for the kids, and help yourself to using one of the grills (I'd advise sanitizing the grill first) if you want to host your own family fun. The sound of the creek that you cross over to get to the park is also very soothing. 🙂 To summarize the pros and cons: Pros: - pretty & green - community events are occasionally held here - library is literally a bridge away, so you can rent a book and read in the park on a nice sunny day - nice views - playground for kids of all ages - grills for barbecuing Cons: - higher crime rates at less populated times of day - bathrooms usually locked (and parents, that's potentially an issue, especially if the library is closed) - sometimes the tables are a bit trashy/dirty, but hey, bring a tablecloth and you'll be okay - NOT RECOMMENDED TO BE ALONE!
Allen — Google review
The creek was beautiful and peaceful, but the park overall didn’t seem well-maintained. Some tables were dirty, and the atmosphere felt a bit sketchy in the evening—I didn’t feel entirely safe. An okay experience, but it could use some improvements.

Brought our kids here to blow off some steam which was a lot of fun at this very nice park! The playground equipment was well maintained and had two different sets for different age groups. There was also several covered areas that would be perfect for a party. Overall a very nice park and experience!

Really pretty town🙏 the park was really nice with a little trail that goes around the park that you see people utilizing to exercise and walk their dogs. There's a cute bridge and really pretty mountain scenery. My dogs enjoyed this park!
M N — Google review
Most beautiful park I've ever been to. BUT... There are some trashy people that hang out here after hours. Friends of the Park are here on weekdays to keep an eye on things and welcome people to the park. They keep the park clean and friendly and we're ever so grateful for their volunteered service!
Tina S — Google review
Has a really nice wide open grass area for kids to play in and to walk your dog, but the park itself is disappointing. Not much interaction.
Sara P — Google review
This park is off of main streets, it is well maintained, and it has lots of room to play or walk. Grab some food to go in town, then sit outside and enjoy the mountain weather - chilly on a sunny winter day to very warm on a clear summer day. There is a trail from the park that is a nice walk, but I prefer just enjoying the scenery here. Several places near by to grab a bite and enjoy a picnic.

Lewis Creek Trail South Trailhead

Nature & Parks
Hiking Trails
Lewis Creek Trail South Trailhead offers a picturesque hike through the stunning Sierra Nevada region, following an old lumber flume to the impressive 80-foot Corlieu Falls. The trail, which was once used for transporting lumber, provides a beautiful downhill route with some uphill sections when starting from the south side. Although there may be some damage from recent storms and fallen trees along the way, it remains a fairly easy and peaceful trail suitable for most hikers.
I had been wanting to do this hike for a while and I’m so happy I finally did it. This time of the year was absolutely perfect. So green and lush. The waterfalls were beautiful. This will be a place that i visit often.
Kita A — Google review
Some difficult passages and some accesses are tricky. No real markings. I do not recommend it to children and untrained people. The view is beautiful and the waterfalls and waterholes very pretty
Eric C — Google review
The trail is an easy hike. It is not well maintained but it still has beautiful waterfalls that you can explore.
P C — Google review
Before getting inside of the park , we saw the sign for this place , and so glad that we stopped by, because the beautiful experience oh hiking and being in touch with nature was possible by being here… nice hikers, safe place, and the water at the creek was clean.
Rocio S — Google review
This is a beautiful easy to moderate day hike. The trail leads to some pretty magicL waterfalls. I have hiked this entire trail with my children and even my two year old was capable. I wouldn't recommend bringing inexperienced children to the outdoors. We have always been a hiking family so my youngest learned quickly. I suggest bringing water and a snack. There is a few different access points to different falls on Lewis creek. There is also a wild Brown trout and rainbow trout fishery here. Though the trout are challenging to catch. I have caught some nice brown trout early in the year. Some great memories have been made here over the years with my family. Please pack out your trash.
Fishing C — Google review
If you're a beginner, the trail is moderate, but very much doable. The waterfall at the end is worth it.
Annamonique M — Google review
This trail is absolutely beautiful, hiking from the South Side is a bit longer and more uphill but I don't think it's as steep as starting from the Northern trail head. I want to say the hike round trip was roughly 2 miles or 1.5 miles vs. The 1 mile total from the North end. . The parking lot is dirt, it's not paved and is rough in certain spots. You start off on a sun exposed trail, with many cut down trees, it's not the most beautiful start. Shortly you come to the creek and there is a very inviting smooth running part that makes you want to take off your shoes and relax in the water. The trail then narrows and gets steep as you climb uphill. Right now there is a small bridge wiped out, it's Nothing major and you can either climb in the small ditch or climb around it using a log to hold yourself up (it's really not that bad, nothing life threatening). Coming from the south end this is after the wooden viewing dock. We hiked up to the upper falls and then down to sit at the edge of the water, we went on Memorial day and there were a good amount of people. I definitely got my workout in. Yesterday I did the trail head from the North end, and it was much shorter, but a steep descent to the falls. I think I prefer hiking uphill than down a steep trail. Some parts of the trail can be slick, going down to the bottom of the lower falls there is a blue rope to hold onto so you don't slip. People hike with their young kids, I wouldn't say this trail is necessarily kid friendly but kids can do it. Bring bug repellent, mosquitoes are bad this year. The creek is running strong and is fairly deep, be careful.
Brittanie H — Google review
This has been one of my favorite trails in the area. Unfortunately it seems like some of it was damaged during the storms we had earlier this year, and the observation deck is completely destroyed, and there are a few fallen trees you’ll have to climb over/under. I’d still consider this trail fairly easy, but keep this is mind with children and elderly . Despite this, its still a super peaceful trail, and the waterfalls are still easily accessible! I’d definitely recommend going on a cooler day because it does get pretty hot.

While they don't serve margaritas, their menu features fresh and unique Mexican cuisine, including delicious tacos and flavorful entrees like chicken quesadillas and Carne Asada tacos. Visitors rave about the amazing food presentation, attentive service, and the availability of four rotating micro-brews on tap.
We enjoyed our food here. I had the fish tacos and my husband had a burrito. Came in for lunch. The sauce in the fish tacos was a bit spicy for me. I should have asked for it "on the side" or maybe cut it down with some sour cream.

Went in late at night. Despite it been busy for a Tuesday night, staff was friendly and attentive. Food was devine! The handmade tortillas were excellent and the cocktails were just right. Only down side, it was a bite loud for my preference. Given the amount of people, definitely understandable. Will absolutely try again when I'm in the area.

This place was fantastic. From the bar tender to the waiters, staff and Food. As soon as I entered I felt refreshed. The music took me back to great memories. Lets talk food, I ordered mole and it was fantastic and authentic for the region.( There are many varieties so don't hate). I was pleased my food didn't have cheese or sour cream on it. (Shredded Cheese on Mexican food is a big sign the food is not going to be great and definitely not authentic). My husband ordered fish tacos and the flavor was delicious.he would order again. Ohhhj, the drinks!!! The Oaxacan cocktails are off the chain and you must order one! I got the Bracero... highly recommend it. I say, if there was a negative, it is that they only had 1 salsa and it was very liquidy. No spicy salsa according to the waiter.

At our visit to Yosemite national park we had our motel in Oakhurst. The second day we decided to have more Mexican food cuz we loved it in LA and SD a few days ago. The tacos very really juicy and tasty. They put a lot of carne and shrimp in the tacos. The burrito was solid but a bit too juicy in my opinion but the taste was very good as well.

Don't know if the food is any good, didn't get any because the service was so slow. Host was watching football on her phone. It Took at least 10 minutes to get greeted in a less than half full restaurant, no chips, drinks finally came (very expensive and small) server did not return for at least another 10 minutes. Couple that came in after us was getting their food as we decided to leave. Don't waste your time.

Smokehouse 41 BBQ is a popular casual dining spot known for its delicious smoked meats and hearty BBQ plates. The restaurant uses high-quality, all-natural meats and prepares its side dishes fresh every day. Chef Adam Hildebrand and Diana Sherwood have created a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy top-notch service alongside their flavorful meals. Visitors rave about the perfectly smoked meat that's packed with flavor, particularly highlighting the exceptional tri-tip.
Amazing place! It gets pretty crowded in the evenings and that’s for a good reason! The ribs were amazing. The 41 baker with smoked sausage was soo delicious and not like what I’ve seen or tried in other places. Cole slaw was very basic and natural and good overall. The mac and cheese was quite underwhelming to my taste. Overall a full rack of ribs and the 41 baker is enough to feed two hungry people and leave them amazingly happy. This place is a must if you are a meat lover and are in town. The staff were great

We stopped her on our way back from Yosemite because of the good reviews. There was a line outside but it was worth the wait. I had the three meat plate combo with brisket, tri-tip, and pork. Everything was juicy and tender. The sides, mac and cheese and the baked beans, complemented the BBQ. They make their own BBQ sauce and pickles, everything was very tasty. Everything we ordered was perfect. I was especially pleased with the great customer service. All the employees were attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back when we are in the area.

After my second plate of brisket, I had to stop and just take a moment to appreciate how much work must go into making all this food. You can taste the hours of effort that go into the smoking process, and that’s something I really respect. It’s a whole craft, and you can tell they take it seriously here. The meat is smoked right there on the property. You can notice the lovely aroma before you even step inside, and that sets the mood instantly. The menu has a lot to choose from, which I like. I’m a brisket person through and through, but even so, I had a hard time not getting distracted by everything else listed. There’s plenty of sides, too, so you can build yourself a plate that covers every craving, from something rich and cheesy to something a little lighter. After a long hike in Yosemite, this is exactly the kind of place you want to land in. You burn a bunch of calories on the trail, then come here to get some much needed protein. They’ve got plenty of seating, it’s comfortable inside, and the temperature is set just right too. It’s the kind of place where you could easily bring your whole group of friends or family and everyone would fit in fine. And yes, I brought home a little piece for my dog. All in all, I’m really glad a place like Smokehouse 41 exists here. It’s part of the community. It gives people somewhere to gather, relax, and enjoy food that’s clearly made with time and care. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Smokehouse 41.

If you are heading to, or coming home from Yosemite; this is a must stop for food. The restaurant opens right at 11 AM. There will be people lining up. This is not your typical fast food joint. There is no drive thru but service is fast. Meat is smoked for about 14 hours. You will see the smoker out front. I ordered the sashsquatch (might not be spelled right) it has brisket and tri-tip, grilled onion and some type of sauce. This sandwich is perfection. They cut the meat right in front of you. I also had the potato casserole. Everything was beyond yummy. I will always make it a point to stop here on my trips

5 star all around! We did have to wait in line, but they had cold water and staff outside to hand out menus and explain how everything works. They let you wait in the shade and monitor the line inside and that was awesome! The staff is all so kind and helpful and making sure you always have full drinks once you sit down! The food was INCREDIBLE. My family and I split the Mammoth so we got to try everything except the brisket which was sold out. All of the meat was so good and the sides were amazing. We got an extra premium side of the twice baked potato casserole and that was 100% worth it by far my favorite side. I would eat here again and again. We came at 6:30ish and got food around 7! So not too bad! The staff told us that if we came at 7 it is most often an hour and a half wait… so we were glad we came earlier!

The two-meat platter, featuring sausage and chicken, is accompanied by baked beans and the premium side of potato casserole. I'm so happy I did, since they were sold out of the house special baked potato. The meat is so tender, and the sausage has cheese and jalapenos. Wasn't a fan of the bread, but still good Staff hands you a menu, and you order at the counter after changing your mind a few times. Pay and then find a table. Staff are friendly, and tables are clean We're so bummed that we only had one chance to eat here.

Good spot for BBQ. We tried many kinds of meat — pork, brisket and tri tip are all great. The ribs are flavorful and I really like the heavy smokiness. But it does not fall off the bone. The salads - Cole slaw and broccoli salad are very delicious. Overall, really good food. It is a bit chaotic inside because people do not know whether to order first or take seat first. Some bbq stop is ordering first and you take a number to the seat— this one seems not.

We have dined here a few times now, riding through town on motorcycles. The wait can sometimes be long, but the service and food are always worth it. Amazing brisket, pork, sandwiches, etc. literally everything was tasty. We recommend this bbq restaurant to everyone.

Price seemed very reasonable, we paid just over $100 for appetizer, 2 entrees & a bottle of wine. Most of the seating is outside in a cute shaded patio.

Nestled along Highway 198 in Three Rivers, Reimer's Candies, Gifts & Ice Cream is a delightful haven for anyone with a penchant for sweets. With over five decades of experience, this charming shop offers an impressive selection of handmade candies and ice cream that captures the essence of Old-World charm. Visitors can indulge in more than 80 varieties of gourmet chocolates alongside an array of treats like chewy licorice, homemade peanut brittle, and English toffee.
Greetings.

Chinese restaurant
China Delight Restaurant in Oakhurst offers a familiar Chinese-American menu with vegetarian options for dine-in, takeout, and delivery. The restaurant is known for its modern take on classic dishes using high-quality fresh ingredients. While the outdoor seating may not be ideal during cold seasons, it's a hidden gem with great views in the summer. The clean interior and shiny tables provide a pleasant dining experience. With reasonable prices and ample parking, this restaurant is popular among locals and visitors alike.
Visiting Yosemite from out of town & decided to give this place a try. 2 words: pleasantly surprised! Service was friendly & atmosphere was welcoming. We were seated immediately. The food came out delicious & is a very generous portion for the price in this day and age! I had the special plate (highly recommend for the value) with broccoli beef, and it came with egg flower soup, wonton chip, a spring roll, fried rice, and chow mein! They also have boba tea drinks, which was also a decent surprise, so I had to get it. If you’re in the area & in the mood for some Asian food, definitely check this place out!

We drop by after a long day at Yosemite. The food and service really hit the spot. Eva was our waitress for the evening and was efficient and very friendly. She had great recommendations and the food was served very quickly. We ordered the hot and sour soup, the orange chicken, chicken with green beans, and eggplant with garlic sauce, and Singapore noodles. We all liked the soup. I like dthe eggplant the most. Others really liked the noodles and chicken with green beans. We will definitely be back next time we are in Yosemite.

Loved the food here. Hospitality is great. House special fried rice was awesome. Don’t miss the Kung Po Chicken. It’s very tasty.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommended! Best Chinese Food in Yosemite! After a full day of exploring Yosemite, we had an amazing meal at China Delight. The food was authentic and delicious—Shredded Pork in Peking Sauce, Spicy Cauliflower, and Garlic Shrimp were all fantastic. The Cantonese Braised Beef, Stir-Fried Rice Noodles, and Fried Pork Ribs were especially flavorful and perfect with rice! The service was warm and attentive, with great recommendations. They even prepared mild soup and fried rice for our child. Clean and cozy environment—such a joy to enjoy authentic Chinese flavors in the heart of nature. Highly recommended!

We ordered to take away. Food is good and big portion. I ordered chicken with broccoli it's taste good but a bit to much oily for me
Wijitra D — Google review
We were hungry after hiking all day and decided to eat some Chinese food. To start off, we stood at the counter waiting for someone or anyone to help us for at least 15 min as workers walked past us like we were not there. Finally, we asked a worker walking past us for seating, and they sat us down with a bit of attitude. Whatever, they did not care! we ordered their combo platter, chow mein was good, rice was good, Mongolian beef so so, beef broccoli so so, the hot ans sour soup had a wet dog smell, then came the chicken fried rice!!!! I do not know where or what planet the chicken came from or if it was even chicken, It was the most disgusting, unfavorable protein we have ever had. The color was even off the charts. It looked like it was glow in the dark plastic. I would avoid this place if in town, I'm sure they do ok because the town is small and do not offer a lot of choices. I did contemplate asking them to remove the fried rice, but i know they would argue or worse and blame us, so i just let it go. Definitely find somewhere else to eat chinese food. The pictures of the chicken don't even do justice. It was absolutely disgusting, and employees are disgruntled, except for the American kid working there. He was nice.
Jeffcp1 — Google review
Pretty authentic Chinese cuisine in Cantonese style. Wokhei in fried rice noodles means good! Authenticity also lives in the tastes of chicken powder/msg. While the food is more like 4 out of 5, and pricing and portions aren't particularly generous like your favorite American Chinese restaurant, you can't really complain much when you are traveling to Yosemite and pretty much in the middle of nowhere.
Terry ( — Google review
Went here for dinner while staying in Oakhurst and visiting Yosemite. It was such a nice surprise to have delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine after spending all day out. We wanted comfort food and this was way better than other Chinese places I’ve had in major cities like Los Angeles. Would highly recommend coming here if you want a good meal!

The ham and cheese croissant is also a standout item on their menu.

Such a cute little donut shop. Pink tables and chairs with a beautiful display of donuts. They had a small selection of options but they were all very delicious. I have never seen a crepe “burrito” before, but I will never forget it. It was SOOOO good. The lady inside was very polite and sweet. Very nice place for a morning/afternoon sweet treat. I can’t recommend the crepe burrito enough.

Highly recommend to stop by and grab some donuts and drink before continue driving. I tried it, and the taste was so good with good price. I love it. This is one of the best Cambodian-owned donut store where you can grab a bit and drink here when you travel pass by or going to Yosemite. The store owner can speak English well, and active as well.

Everything you can expect from a traditional donut shop – quality donuts and great customer service. The donuts were soft, fluffy, and not overly sweet which made it enjoyable when accompanied with their coffee. Staff were kind and even gave us an extra glazed donut. My favorite was the glazed donut.

Very yummy donuts! This place deserves the 5 stars for sure. The donuts were soft, not too thick, and not too sweet. The ham and cheese croissant with jalapeños was delicious as well! The croissant was a great size and very fluffy. This place is also very clean inside. I’d definitely recommend! Just wish they were open later for a post-hike treat.

Cute little donut shop on the way to or back from bass lake. I tried their mochi donut which was deliciously chewy and fruity. They also have very good hot chocolate and Java chip mocha blended coffee.

Best donuts I've ever had and I think of myself as a donut connoisseur. Seriously the BEST! I haven't ever had a donut that didn't have that grease taste to it. Somehow these taste like HEAVEN. I would almost make a trip to Oakhurst just for these donuts!

Our tour guide for Yosemite recommended this place and it was absolutely worth the calories! Great selection of traditional and new flavors. The apple fritter was fantastic! We ate that right there in the shop at one of the tiny tables. And bonus - they slipped in some extra doughnut holes with our dozen.

This charming eatery serves up an array of delectable dishes, including sea salt edamame, red bean paste buns, and crispy fried wontons. We went there twice in a row after our trip to Yosemite. It’s exactly what we wanted, warm and tasty foods. The staff was friendly and gave us extra tofu skins to wrap up the soybean-paste flavored pork which was delicious. We’ll definitely go back next time when we are in town. Oh the shrimp dumplings and Mayo tofu are excellent.

No onion, no garlic , I want very less spicy on my food. Hahaha..... the smiley face 's staff replied very friendly and saying that "no problem", U want white or fried rice? Till the food was served, I were really amazed with it, so nice and tasty . For an vegetarian traveller, understanding and allowing customized on food will really warm us.
Lim Y — Google review
We had high hopes for this restaurant but was sorely mistaken. The food had a good appearance. It looked authentic, but the taste was bad. The vegetables were overcooked. The chicken was dry. The food had too much baking soda and cornstarch. Think twice before going.
E Y — Google review
I was excited to find a Chinese restaurant here and was incredibly disappointed. The pork fried rice was not edible. Immediately opening the container it had a bad smell, I took a small bite of pork and it had a foul taste, definitely was spoiled meat. The noodles were so dry and flavorless, the orange chicken was soggy and the mushy texture made it very unpleasant. The Kung pao chicken had a great flavor but there was very little meat, which was a bummer since everything else was inedible. The meat in the bowl is roughly 80% of the Kung pao chicken from the container. The rest was filled with celery and like 6 pieces of soggy Zuchini.
Samantha C — Google review
Worst Chinese food restaurant I have ever been to! The dishes we ordered were too over-salted, one of them had a hair in it. The meat in the dish was not fresh, apparently they defrosted and froze it hundreds of times! It tasted like spoiled meat! Let's see if I get sick tonight..... if it does, I'm poisoned here((((
T D — Google review
We stopped here between Yosemite and Kings Canyon. The food was great and the service was even better. The server/manager/owner? made certain that we knew what we were getting.. “You want spicy? — Yes, I want SPICY.” It was spicy. She also quickly identified us as tourists (admittedly pretty easy) and made sure we had microwaveable containers for our leftovers along with plenty of utensils and extra napkins. Serving size was on the large end of he spectrum so we were able to make another full meal out of our order.
David W — Google review
During the power outage most restaurants were closed — thankfully Taste of China used a generator. As a travel without access to a kitchen, this was really appreciated. The meal was delicious, similar to the meals I have had while living in China. I will definitely visit again before I depart. Thanks again for the amazing food!!!

El Cid is a beloved Mexican cantina-style restaurant that has been serving authentic Mexican dishes and handcrafted cocktails since 1989. Located in Oakhurst, it offers a diverse menu with over 95 items, including tacos, enchiladas, nachos, chili verde, chili colorado, sautéed seafood, and prime steaks. The restaurant also serves breakfast daily and features a full-service bar with an array of handcrafted cocktails and famous tequila margaritas.
Extremely impressed by this restaurant!! We stopped here on our way back from Bass Lake, and wow, the food was excellent! As far as Mexican food goes, this did not feel authentic, HOWEVER, it is very tasty and hits the spot when you need it! The beef in beef fajitas was seasoned well and I enjoyed it. Botana El Cid, which is the fancier and tastier nachos, was excellent. The meatball soup was… okay. Personally, I do not recommend it, but my taste buds are different. Overall, really enjoyed our experience.
Nezam N — Google review
As a guy raised in South Texas, I usually treat Mexican food north of Austin—and especially out-of-state—with extreme suspicion. But after a long day of hiking and limited options, I took a chance… and I’m glad I did. This place was unexpectedly incredible. Do yourself a favor: stop in and grab a burrito. You won’t regret it.
Zachary B — Google review
I am a little confused about my experience. I have been here before, many, many years ago, and it has changed. The restaurant was nice, and the servers were great, I did not like the fact that there were very large flies buzzing around our window. Not just one or two, we killed about 4 of them. Grossed us out a little bit. Our food, on the other hand, was mixed with different feelings. I can honestly say that the chili relleno was very good. The albondigas were also very good, too, the shredded beef tacos were not that good, I'll give them a 4.5 out of 10. The shells were not crispy, but soggy and meat had an artificial taste to it. I would say and try it if you are in the area and judge for yourself.
Jeffcp1 — Google review
El Cid, while providing great service, was very disappointing. My family and I stopped by after visiting Yosemite National Park in hopes of eating simplistic, easy Mexican food. Unfortunately, we were met with chunky, lukewarm cheese dip; bland, flavorless margaritas; and greasy, lazily constructed tacos and quesadillas. Do not waste your money on this almost disrespectful attempt at Mexican food that is priced like it’s Nobu (We paid 90$ after tip for a beer, margarita, quesadilla, and cheese dip; imagine what a full family would cost)
Synodix — Google review
Nice ambience at this Mexican restaurant. Ordered the chicken burrito. The portion was large and with the sides, it was a sizable meal. The burrito tasted good but I am not a Mexican food connoisseur and might rate it higher if I were. Ok service
CK C — Google review
This was the first time my husband and I visited, and it did not disappoint. We were greeted and shown to a booth as soon as we walked in. Our server, Celena, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and helpful. The entire staff was excellent. We ordered a chicken chimichanga and three tacos: one with shrimp, one with cabeza, and one with lengua. Everything was outstanding and fresh, including the salsa, chips, and guacamole. The portion sizes were also very generous. Parking was convenient, and they also offer items for kids and vegetarian options. I would highly recommend El Cid, as it has been the best Mexican food I have had in a long time.

Terrific food. Everything seems hand made and cooked, not assembled from piles of pre-prepared ingredients like mini Mexican restaurants. We were in Oakhurst for six days and ate here twice since we enjoyed our first visit so much. Very friendly and attentive wait staff. Very fast service. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent! Huge portions -my husband and I shared the beef fajita meal and were both stuffed. The service was great. Loved how down to Earth the atmosphere was but the place was still very well taken care of.

Grilled Ahi was surprisingly great. We ordered a medium rare steak, but it came out a bit medium. Burger was also good if a little dry. Still a great place to get some good food if you are in Oakhurst. Staff were very quick and friendly as well.

Food was great! In fact, it was amazing! Everything was perfectly cooked. Service was good! Server was very nice and polite. Unfortunately, it was so loud at this place. There weren't even that many people overall, I just think it might have terrible acoustics. It was almost impossible to have a conversation. The only other thing worth noting was the front desk/seating staff. The lady was kind of rude to us, and barely said hello. It seemed like a huge inconvenience that she had to seat people.

What a dinner! My family, friends and I were heading out from the Yosemite National Park, and we decided to stop by this place to eat dinner. The wait was pretty quick, didn't take too long to get a table for our group of 9. We sat down and was greeted by the waiter very quickly. She was very polite and nice to us. Our food came out very fast, and the portion sizes were very big for how much we paid! The food tasted absolutely incredible. I got the single best western burger, and my dad got the double. Be warned, the double is absolutely ginormous! Everything tasted amazing, and we were all nice and full. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out! Amazing service, amazing food, very nice place. 5 Stars. 100% recommend.

It was so good we went back the next night. All food was excellent except the oysters which my wife described as bland. The first night I had the 1LB burger, yes, that was a pound of meat in the picture. It was truly delicious. I didn’t take photos the next night and had the chicken Marsala which was very good. Reasonable prices and excellent service.

The restaurant is in the Best Western Hotel and is open to the public. When we visited they were VERY busy and we did not have a reservation, but got given a table fairly quickly. The front of the house worked very efficiently with the waiters. The food arrived in a very reasonable time and it was awesome. The waiters were all very nice. We visited already 10 years ago and it was awesome then, it is nice to see they are still awesome. Definitely recommended if in Oakhurst!

Everything we ordered is so GOOD! Pesto pasta has actual pine nuts. There’s so much shrimp and chicken in the Jambalayan pasta. Chicken piccata, coconut shrimp, and trailer park fries are yum! Clam chowder is a tiny bit salty but pairing with the sourdough is perfect! The serve local draught beer - pecan brown ale is one of a kind too!

Fresno Yosemite International Airport is a charming gateway to the stunning natural beauty of nearby national parks, featuring unique art installations that celebrate this connection. This airport serves as a hub for eight airlines, providing convenient access to various North American destinations. Travelers can easily connect via Amtrak trains and Greyhound buses in Fresno. What sets Fresno Yosemite International Airport apart is its efficiency and friendly atmosphere.
Very relaxed and friendly airport. It’s easy to get around, the bathrooms are large and clean, and it has a great atmosphere, especially with the national park exhibit with all the trees. It was a busy weekend when we went but we didn’t have to wait at security at all, and the TSA agents were very nice. By the terminal, there were plenty of phone charging stations in the seats. The food options are limited, but there were lots of signs saying additional restaurants were coming.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ The Fresno Yosemite International Airport is a small but very relaxed and clean airport. It’s easy to navigate, and everything feels well-organized. If you’re visiting in the summer, be prepared for some intense heat outside, but inside, the air conditioning is a bit strong—bringing a light jacket or long-sleeve shirt would be a good idea to stay comfortable. The staff here are super friendly and helpful, which added to the pleasant experience. I also liked that the car rental services are conveniently located within the airport, making transportation hassle-free. That said, the airport is limited in terms of dining and shopping options. I grabbed chicken wings at one of the restaurants, but they were way too salty, so I couldn’t finish them. A bit disappointing, but at least I didn’t have to wait long for my food. Overall, it’s a straightforward and stress-free airport for a regional destination—perfect for quick trips and getting in and out with ease! More dining options and better food quality would definitely improve the experience.

You have to show up 3-4 hours early to try and catch an employee at the ticket counter!! Flight was at 7:05p , we got there about 5:10p waiting until about 8:43p to try and reschedule the flight and no one ever came. An American airline ticket agent was called to the front and no one ever came! Was told they wouldn’t be back until 10p . We came two days in a row and same situation on both days!! First 3 photos are from Saturday ,4th photo since Sunday. If you have to check bags or minors… good luck. The most empty airport yet you still have to show up 5 hours before flight to assure you make your flight and that’s a maybe

Small airport, easy to get in and out. Airport staff were super friendly and helpful, especially helping my mom get wheelchair assistance right away, and get to and from the gate. Close drive to all the national parks in the area! It looked like there was construction in the terminal, hoping they are adding more restaurants/food options.
Leslie H — Google review
Clean and easy access. I wish all Airports were this easy to access. Rental cars are on site and easly accessible.
Rd C — Google review
I fly into and out of this airport a few times every year. It is a small airport but has interesting local artwork on display near the escalators, a restaurant, a Starbucks coffee shop and a gift shop.
Kayla S — Google review
Nothing to envy from bigger airport. The security is efficient, no waiting, toilet are clean, a lot of car rental company with vehicles directly accessible to an adjacent parking. But no restaurant inside.
Emeric M — Google review
Smaller airport than you would think for an international airport. They do have starbucks outside the gate and inside the gate so you can get coffee from either side. They have multiple rental car places inside but the lines and waits can get long, even if you book ahead. Cars are right on the property though which makes it very convenient. Usually clean and kempt, seating is sparse within each terminal area but there are settings in common areas a short walk from whichever terminal you may be waiting for. A bar and restaurant behind security in additional to airport shops and snacks.
