Nature preserve
Park
Nestled at the base of Mount Jurupa, Mary Vagle Nature Center in Fontana offers an educational experience on local natural history and wildlife preservation. The center features interactive displays, a reptile viewing area, native plant gardens, a pond, and nature trails that wind through the serene landscape. It's a perfect destination for families and nature enthusiasts to explore the diverse flora and fauna of the area.
This is a childhood place. I would always come to is by far the best place/dog park I can ever go to. Finally took my daughter here and it was amazing. Let me tell you we had a little fun with the ducks. Many many ducks bring some food. You will have a blast.
Cristina M — Google review
My husband and I go at sunrise to look at beautiful scenery up the mountain behind Mary Vagle NC. There are good trails all around there, offering a good hike workout and beautiful nature scenery. No outdoor restrooms though. Also easy parking and easy to find using GoogleMaps. We have yet to visit the inside of the nature center.
Dorothy B — Google review
I just saw a goose with a net tangled around its foot, clearly struggling, and I tried everything to get help. I called over and over, but the place was closed, no staff, no security—nothing. So I reached out to Fontana Animal Control, hoping they’d do something, only for them to tell me they’ve had multiple complaints and just gave up because they’re “not equipped” to catch it. Seriously? So an animal is left suffering just because it’s inconvenient to help? The fact that no one is taking responsibility is beyond frustrating. What’s the point of having these services if they refuse to step in when it actually matters?
Naya — Google review
Totally a great natural place to visit for a couple of hours. Nice lake, lots of ducks. You Leave them alone they leave you alone. The only one thing I suggests is that you put bug spray before you go so you don't get bit.
Bashier S — Google review
Awesome park! Great getaway from the city life. This park is conveniently located in between a residential area but once you enter you immediately feel at peace. The atmosphere is serene. You have ducks, turtles, and Koi fish in the pond and just behind that there's a nice walking trail that leads to Martin Tudor park it's about a mile long great for the family. The restrooms are clean but they do close by 5pm.
Nelida H — Google review
Nice trails for kids. Lots of wildlife and natural beauty. The pond is pretty because you are not allowed to feed the animals, so there is no algae or litter. There are koi fish in the pond, but no fishing or swimming. We saw squirrels, butterflies, turtles, hawks, ducks, geese, and baby geese! There are many native flowers, trees, and brush along the trail and some pretty spots with a small creek. There is a small educational center with taxidermied animals and live creatures like bugs, spiders, snakes, lizards, and chinchillas. Restrooms are clean.
Celina T — Google review
A nature preserve with great view of the local mountains, this park has a duck pond that’s quiet and calm. There’s a hiking area next to it for the more adventurous, love that’s it’s just so peaceful and clean the beauty of nature in full display.
Danny F — Google review
Awesome place to relax and embrace nature. Did my first hike and the trails do not disappoint. This is also a wonderful place to show little children nature and simple, but beautiful creatures like ducks up close. Lots of shaded areas to sit and relax, benches are there as well. Bathrooms are also available. The center itself has great information and helpful staff.

Auto Race Tracks
Nestled in the heart of Fontana, Auto Club Speedway is a thrilling destination for racing enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. This iconic D-shaped oval superspeedway not only hosts major events like the Xfinity Series, IndyCar Series, and NASCAR Sprint Cup but also offers an array of experiences for fans to immerse themselves in the action. Visitors can take part in exciting activities such as Track Laps for Charity or various racing experiences led by legends like Mario Andretti and Rusty Wallace.
Can’t believe that NASCAR has given up most of the track. Auto club was a great track and one of my personal favorites. I’ve been keeping up with its progress and the good thing is that part of the front stretch is intact and so is part of the grandstand. I do believe it will become a short track since it was said it would be and NASCAR is dedicated which is good. I wish it would have stayed the same but I am looking forward to seeing racing back in Fontana, No matter how long.
Thomas S — Google review
Great experience on the NASCAR series 👌 👏. We had a great family time under the sun by watching the race on the powerful cars. It's a unique experience, when you have the chance, come and enjoy, there are activities for all ages and fun and great time is guaranteed. Highly recommended.
Omar B — Google review
Went to the exotic driving course here. Staff was super friendly. Boyfriend and I had an amazing time. Very educational and got to drive some amazing cars! Lots of parking not not a long wait for your turn. They're incredibly safety oriented as well. Next time were in Cali we are definitely going back.
Eliot N — Google review
I've been a PSA seat holder since the inception.. parking is easy and they allow tailgating.. wish the outside of the stands facing the main parking lots had TV screens so those walking around outside the grandstands could see what was going on on the track instead of just hearing it. Good concerts before the race.
Mel C — Google review
Had a great day at the NASCAR race. Great scenery and views of the track. The ticket price was reasonable and parking was not too bad. Food and drink prices were outrageous but typical for these events. Highly recommend bringing your own food and drinks. Entertainment was good and happy to see a good band playing there. Staff was friendly and helpful. One even helped me take a picture which was nice. Look forward to next year. I didn’t give 5 stars because there is not enough food and beverage stands and long lines persisted throughout the race. Also, the speakers kept cutting out which was very annoying. I also would have like to see more video screens for replays and lap count. You can’t see the leaderboard from turn 4 stands so something over there would be nice.
Robert B — Google review
Came here for the NASCAR Wise Power 400 and had a great time. Easy parking and walk to the front gate. The facilities are a bit dated but work well. Staff was courteous in helping me find my seat. Looking forward to returning for next years race.
Poly G — Google review
I took my husband here as an anniversary gift to him, & he loved every minute of it. The experience is pretty pricey so I initially debated on whether it was worth it, & they also charge you $70 for professional video footage of the driver’s performance, so be prepared to spend at least $400 after it’s all over. The staff was extremely nice & accommodating for the non driver family members by providing free water & shady places to sit. I probably wouldn’t invest in this again but I’m glad we got to do it once.
Anita H — Google review
My first track day with my BMW 430i Gran Coupe stock at the Auto Club Speedway. It was a lot of fun. The oval allowed me to push my car to its top speed and the g force felt great. The twist and turns really tests the car’s handling. Great experience!

Outdoor Activities
Sierra Lakes Golf Club in Fontana, CA offers an 18-hole par-72 course with challenging holes like The Monster and Sneaky Tough. The club features a modern practice facility with target greens and hitting mats. Its diverse terrain is popular for weddings and quinceaneras. Nearby, visitors can explore the San Bernardino National Forest or cool off at the Fontana Park Aquatic Center during summer months.
We were hired on for our Photo Booth service a couple of months ago at this venue and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They directed us to where we needed to set up. The outside has a large pond and is great for pictures. The inside is large enough for a nice reception and dance floor. I would definitely recommend this place.
Ingrid T — Google review
**Sierra Lakes Golf Club – A Must-Play Inland Empire Gem** Sierra Lakes Golf Club in Fontana is a fantastic course that offers a great blend of playability, challenge, and scenic beauty. The course layout is well-designed, with generous fairways that provide some forgiveness off the tee, yet strategic bunkering and water hazards keep things interesting. The greens are in excellent condition—true-rolling, quick, and receptive to well-struck approach shots. The staff is welcoming and professional, making check-in and the overall experience smooth. The pace of play was solid, allowing for an enjoyable round without feeling rushed or delayed. The mountain views add a nice touch, especially in the late afternoon when the sun starts setting behind the peaks. The facilities are well-maintained, from the pro shop to the driving range, and the clubhouse offers a great spot to grab a bite and a drink after the round. Sierra Lakes delivers a solid golf experience that’s enjoyable for players of all skill levels. Whether you're looking for a casual round or a competitive test, this course is worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.
Michael H — Google review
Fairway, Green and Course layout were so fantastic. We enjoyed two days rounding.
HT K — Google review
Fairways were really nice. Greens seemed like they were just aerrated. Our tee time was at 10:45am. We finished at 4:35pm.. just about 6 hours. The people in front of us were playing SO slow. They were waiting for the people in front of them to get off the green before they took their tee shot on every hole and were messing around and playing around. They got drunk and were fighting on the 18th green. Nothing was done about the pace of play. Im disappointed for my first experience playing here due to the pace of play.
Hayley S — Google review
Beautiful course with a good price. Fairways are well designed and fun. Green speed is not quite fast. It’s worth to drive 1 hour from Irvine.
Terry K — Google review
My husband and I came here for my son-in-law's medical fellowship graduation. The setting was beautiful, the staff was great and the food was delicious! I highly recommend, if you need a nice venue for a function, consider Sierra Lakes.
Diane W — Google review
Best Golf course of all time! I love the greens! Big course it's huge!
Jeremy W — Google review
My family has been coming here for golfing and their restaurant's amazing special event brunches. Both of our kids have taken lessons from Coach Eric and his team as they are simply great with kids and know their stuff. Early evening in the summer months are just the perfect time to hit balls at the driving range. Avid golfer friends love the well-maintained golf course, and calls it one of the finer ones in the area. I loved the food served at their Mother's day brunch and on the three other events we attended here.

Had a amazing day with all my grandkids. Reasonablely priced at $3 per person. The life guards were all friendly. We did lose about 30 min of playtime due to the ticket window being completely slow. Possibly opening the ticket window 15 min before the water park would be nice.
Mindy K — Google review
Super easy to find and get there. Lots of areas of shade. Grounds were nice and lush. Having said that, sadly, there were a couple of unsavory (homeless) people there. I would have to say my biggest pet peeve was the fact people are paying to have these shelters and someone from the city tending to them. I did not see a single city worker emptying trash or keeping bathrooms maintained.
Brownie — Google review
Nice challenging hike. Definitely use comfy hiking boots. Bring at-least a liter of water. Very nice art work at the top. I just wish some people would respect the art work other people put into it.
Manny B — Google review
Playground paradise: Slides, tunnels, climbing structures - kids go wild! Water hole wonders: Splash & explore, even sneak through to a hidden trail. Airplane spotting: Watch planes soar from prime hilltop viewing. Easy hikes: Winding trails perfect for little trekkers

Really nice park with lots of shade 😎, I went for a hike scenic views of "Sierra" steep and challenging hike bring lots of water and make sure to stay hydrated especially in the summer time

Good spot for large picnics and barbecues. You reserve a spot for $25 and get your money back. Plenty of picnic tables and trash cans so no excuse not to pick up after yourself.
Gina — Google review
Nice park with lots of gazebos with big outdoor grills. The hike to the top of Jurupa Mountain and back to your car is about two and a half miles. But lots of steep Rocky incline. Beware for rattlesnakes.

Nice, clean plenty space to PARTY.
Susan C — Google review
Very nice park, where our club had a brief meeting. We used a cabana-style area with picnic tables, which we have used in the past for a barbecue/ meeting, which worked well. This time it was pretty cold, so the meeting was shortened. Good place for friends, family & athletic activities.
Nicholas S — Google review
This is a PERFECT baseball park. There is about 3 baseball fields, each with 2 sides of benches. If on the benches, definitely bring your own shade. There is also a snack bar that can be utilized for teams. There is a gated jungle gym as well. Clean area for the kids to play on. Plus, not to mention there is a rock climbing area. Again, this is a great baseball park...NOT basketball.
Carla R — Google review
Nice Park but can get REALLY WINDY! Has toys to play on for smaller kids and bleachers for watching the games. Has a snack bar for drinks, sodas and candy. Has a lot of parking but has gotten full when all fields are being used. Very well maintained
Richard M — Google review
Great place to walk dog, quiet and clean
Luis R — Google review
Parking is adequate. It has a moderately sized play area that has full coverage, but park is mainly used for the 3 baseball fields that are heavily used by leagues in the area. During off seasons, fields are more readily available for public use.

I liked this park very much! I didn't go to the aquatic center just the park. Sat under a tree and did some work. Peaceful, quiet. Nice play area for the smaller children. I'll have to go back and explore some more! Highly recommend!!

Large place. Big swimming pool with diving boards and split lanes for swimming. There is a kids pool. Also a splash place with things for the kids to play with and get wet. There’s a grassy area to relax. Also a large shaded area with picnic tables to eat. They have two water slides for people to use.
Wm R — Google review
No one’s paying attention to the kids Today was our first day of swim lessons. We came from another venue because her level wasn’t available. 1. The kids are hanging on to the wall for 30 minutes. The ages and heights vary. My daughter is too short to stand comfortably in 4’6” of water. 2. While my daughter is waiting for her turn, she’s practicing floating. All was well until she got too far from the wall. She can’t stand up and couldn’t make her way back to the wall. 3. No one’s paying attention. I literally get up from the stands, headed towards the pool, yelling for them to help my daughter. The nearest lifeguard guard was in lala land. The teacher was with another student. Another life guard noticed and was SLOWLY coming from the other side. By the time he made it over, I was already there yelling and the teacher reached out to grab her and pull her to the wall. A whistle should’ve blown or some indication that a child was in distress. My child is fine. I spoke to her about the need to hold on to the wall, the water is deep and lack of anyone paying attention. No one said anything to me. Everything just continued as if my daughter was never in possible danger…
Mary B — Google review
Great place and friendly staff. Get an online account and swim.
Aaron T — Google review
This is all about the management at the pool. The manager who is tall and thin is policing the place. Very unfriendly and knows the least about management of people especially children. His interactions with me and my child were absolutely deplorable and unacceptable. Supposedly he manages the lifeguards yet and still none of them had information regarding expectations and rules. He blamed myself and my child for not knowing the rules while his lifeguards were telling me the complete opposite of his expectations. When I began to get out of the pool after him reprimanding me he said and I quote "I'm not done talking." Of course I was absolutely done listening to someone harass me. I'm trying to watch my 3-year-old, causing no issues to anyone other than himself who thought he was King of the pool.
Blue G — Google review
Personally, the lack of advertising of times, and dates availability is really poor. Went there on a Thursday to free swim but apparently was told “sorry we aren’t open today because we have a swimming class in session”! Was supper disappointing. Then on a Tuesday we came there and was also told the exact same excuse! I Don't recommend coming if you want to free swim. Poor advertisement 👎

Center Stage Theater in Fontana is a beautiful and welcoming venue with professional and polite staff. The musical production of Grease was incredible, with actors who brought the movie to life. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, adding to the overall experience. Guests had the opportunity to interact with the actors, who remained in character while being warm and friendly, making everyone feel special. It's highly recommended for its musicals and dining experience.
This was by far one of the best musicals I have attended. The Center Stage building was beautiful, clean and welcoming. The staff were professional and polite. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The entire musical production was incredible. The actors were very much in character and brought the movie alive for Miyah. Grease is Miyahs favorite movie. She noticed the subtle changes but said that even with those changes this was so amazing. After the performance the actors / actresses and directors were in the lobby and were so warm, friendly and though still in character made you as a guest feel special and important to them. I highly recommend Center Stage in Fontana for their Musicals and if you can eat late.. 8 PM then pay for the meal as well.

Arrive about 30 min before your show. Give your last name if picking up from will call (which is inside). Hospitality is out of this world from ALL staff. VIVA LAS VEGAS was performed by great singers and dancers. Good food, I suggest the Veggie Lasagna. And no flash photography or video, takes away from the performance.

When it comes to a night on the town in the Colton area, you only have to drive 15 minutes to neighbouring Fontana where you’ll find the region’s top dinner theatre. At Tibbies Center Stage Theater, you can enjoy gourmet food and superb live entertainment. Your night starts with dinner, which includes an appetizer, main course and dessert. Wine and cocktails are also served. This beautiful theatre has some of the most modern audio, video, and lighting technology available. On stage, you’ll enjoy top-quality entertainment by local and touring artists. The theatre is home-base for the Tibbies Great American Cabaret and many professional Broadway-type shows have been hosted at the theatre.

High-speed racing venue where visitors can drive or ride along in an authentic NASCAR vehicle.
Went to a race in February of 2023 and it was a fantastic experience. Besides getting in which was just waiting in a long line of cars, the racing experience itself was fantastic. The food options were endless, there was a pretty solid selection of merchandise. It was a very entertaining race and the best part was Kyle Bush (the winner). Definitely sad they’re turning it into a short track, but still happy I was able to see track before the renovations. 10/10

Al Capone House

When exploring Fontana, CA, one cannot miss the intriguing Al Capone House, a significant piece of history from the Prohibition era. This residence served as a hideout for the infamous gangster Al Capone, also known as Scarface. Nestled on 3,000 square feet of land, this private property is not open to the public; however, curious visitors can admire it from outside its gated perimeter.
I live the top notch, 5 star events I have attended at this amazing homestead. The owners are welcoming and go above and beyond at every event.

Sister Thomason yes there are other houses. I lived at the one that's across from Fontana police department.. that house is haunted crazy. My son seen a little girl walking around and the closet doors open ... my roommate seen the little girl and some big guy.. roommate broke a bedroom window nd jumped out in his boxers nd clothes in hand. My dogs were always spooked they would run into the house nd hide under the blankets of my sons bed. The living room had a very bad energy..we never used that room or hardly walked into the living room. Now I have never believed in the paranormal but that damn house made me a believer..ok there's a basement that we called it the dungeon or the torture room. There was a big hole for the tunnel on one side. Now when u walk down the steep steps there's a big drain nd man hole with a cover..disposal of dead bodies maybe? There's a small walk in closet to that has bad vibes nd u can kinda see under the house..I would feel someone looking at me the few times I walked in there..now I never seen nobody in the house buuuuutttt one day I was sitting on the pot doing my business nd I heard banging on the door..I yelled out nd cleaned up nd checked the door. Nobody there..I checked up the street nd when around the other side nd nobody on the street. Then I went to my desk in my room nd was doing paper work..on that wall I heard banging and I froze then seconds after the banging got extremely loud nd I about shit myself..yeah I was scared af. 😱 no joke nd I put that on my mommas grave. Well I yelled at whatever or whoever it was in that house to stop banging on my wall..that we was gonna live there for a while so please stop the bullshit of scaring us nd making that noise. Well no more noise shadows doors opening glass breaking and the dogs did not get scared no more. A year later we moved out but whatever spirits were there scared my son nephew nd his friend..they left some stuff there nd never went back. So yeah that house is haunted and there was a tunnel a mile long to this house.

Al capone never lived in that house nor did he buy it. This house is just people saying its al capones but there is not records to show . Al capone never lived in southern california, he did live in alcatraz in northern california while in prison. Learn history folks dont just repeat ignorance because some lady told you

We live close to this place, we see it every week. It has gone down hill.who owns it, something is not right. We have pictures of beautiful n now looks horrible in back area, the gates were old, leaning, ppl leave n sell.. no parties, just looking older than ever. I have pictures 📸, I know it's haunted, my family knew al capone....and he owned other homes to that. N underground tunnels to other homes. I am 100 percent correct. And tunnels were fixed. I have papers on him, he was not a party man. Most ppl did in old fontana, and fontana was a different name??? Most people don't know. We do.

I was in Fontana, CA so I came to visit world famous mobster Al Capone's villa. The house still has a big C on the chimney that Al Capone personally put in place. The house has an underground tunnel that fits two full sized cars in it and it goes directly from under the house to a near by church. Al Capone bought this house back in the day and it is where he would hide out when law enforcement was on his tail.

Really dope and we got a history lesson from a local lady who lived in the area since 1960

Just cool to see a house that belonged to AL Capone that was a hide out.

My husband and I just recently moved to the Fontana area right off of Locust and it is really cool to know that get a history about Al Capone... the property does need a little maintenance but I bet at one time it was a lovely place!

Mexican restaurant
Tio's Mexican Restaurant is a delightful spot located on Sierra Lakes Parkway in Fontana, CA, where casual dining meets authentic Mexican flavors. This charming eatery boasts a vibrant salsa bar and inviting sidewalk tables that create a relaxed atmosphere for diners. Tio's is the result of the combined efforts of two families—the Loeras and the Contrerases—who have established multiple locations across Southern California, including Rancho Cucamonga and Riverside.
I’ve eaten here 3 times now with my wife-to-be. And every single time the food had been amazing and delicious we love the chips and guacamole as well as the pastor tacos. Highly recommended for anyone and everyone looking for delicious Mexican food. A side note I recommend to mix some of their guacamole with the mild salsa. A great combination.

Carnitas were great. Reasonably priced. Large serving.

I never deviate from my opinions just like I'm always true to myself so, here it goes. If you're a MEXICAN RESTAURANT than get with the program. NO FREE CHIPS IS A DEAL BREAKER. Every Mexican restaurant I go to, has Chips and Salsa while you wait and honestly, I judge the restaurant by the quality and taste of them. Be smart, and just add them into the cost of the product you're selling. Until I see those chips being offered, I'm not returning. There are plenty of other better than you, who get the business because they are smart.

I wanted to love this place since it’s a local spot, but it really disappointed me. I tried the bean and cheese burrito, cheese and chicken enchiladas, and chips n salsa. I really don’t know how you can mess up Mexican food, but literally everything lacked flavor. Even the chips. How is that even possible? Also there were so many weird parts of the chicken in the enchilada that I completely lost my appetite after a few bites, thick pieces of collagen and big pieces of skin. Yuck. And the chips tasted old and the sauces had no flavor. Even the salsa had no flavor, I thought maybe they don’t salt the food much so I added salt and that didn’t help. So sad. Maybe gringos like it? lol But if you know Mexican food, you know this ain’t it. Ugh… Really wanted to love this place and make it my spot, but I’m leaving disappointed and unsatisfied. I barely touched my meal. Like two bites of the burrito and a couple bites of my enchiladas. Service and atmosphere were nice tho. Felt super authentic and I was digging the tables and chairs vibe inside. And staff was very nice. Fix the food so I can come back and grub!
Maya F — Google review
I’ve loved this restaurant since it opened its door to the public. Off of Day Creek Blvd and Baseline in beautiful Rancho Cucamonga. This review is needed because the people who were a part of the restaurant’s conception need to know that when the bosses are not around some employees are rude, disrespectful, and lack people skills and manners. The food seems better earlier in the day. We showed up at 730 PM and what we usually order was not the best. The two people behind the counter were just nasty. In all of the years that we’ve been coming here no one has ever been so rude and disrespectful. The faces, the rolling of the eyes, the nasty body language. Sooooo unnecessary, really. I understand it was almost closing time but we all had 30 minutes to spare. There are other servers that are so much nicer. Again, the food was okay. Not what it usually is. I think there’s a different cook and you can tell. The place was clean. It’s never changed its decor. This is a consistent thing. Our food was rushed. Some of it cold…… I think every employee was packed up and ready to run out the front door. The people started walking in for dinner and the girl at register was rude and so annoyed. It’s sad…… the guy gave my spouse an attitude and said: “we’re closing in 30 minutes” as my spouse served herself soda. My spouse replied: “we’ve got 30 minutes.” The employee said: “again, like I said, we’re closing in 30 minutes.” Unacceptable behavior……. We drove 25 minutes for dinner. I will never do this again. Tios; you’re not what you used to be. It shows….. Something is happening and it may be some of your staff. The carne asada burrito is still good. That’s all….. That is all.

Known for its extensive menu featuring classic American dishes, this charming eatery offers an impressive selection of over 40 lunch specials alongside mouthwatering steak and seafood dinners. This place is so classic. I’ve been coming here since I’ve been a kid and the same manager still runs the place. That’s pretty awesome. The food is consistently good and when I visit my mom, we always come here to eat. The clam chowder is good And I usually get the steak dinner. This restaurant is the pillar of Fontana. it is a classic landmark. I hope it stays open forever.

First time dining in. I tried the steak and shrimp combo with a baked potatoe and a toast. Price was less than $17 The entire plate was delicious. Definitely give it a try.
Gabriela L — Google review
Been going here for years but went today n it has definitely changed n not in a good way. Even my eldest noticed the difference. The ranch was watery and gross, there was flies everywhere , our food was cold 😞 and our steaks were overcooked. My baked potato or maybe the sour cream, tasted old. This place used to be a staple in our town n now it's going downhill.

Sundowners in Fontana, CA for years and it never disappoints! 🙌 🥗 Started off with a side salad + ranch — super fresh and crisp! 🥩🍋 The steak and lemon chicken combo is PERFECTION. The chicken is packed with flavor, tender (not dry at all!) and the steak is juicy & melts in your mouth. 🍞 The toast? Absolutely delicious. I swapped the mashed potatoes for rice and it was a great choice. 🥪🍟 The chicken sandwich with steak fries was also really good! If you’re looking for a spot with consistently tasty food and big portions, this is it. Highly recommend! 💯👏

If you grew up in the IE you pretty much know about this place. With only two locations, one in San Bernardino and this one, this was the place to go to grab good food at a budget price growing up. Prices are still reasonable with most lunches costing between 7-11 bucks and they include a side salad or soup and a drink. Staff is friendly and food is always good.
Daniel P — Google review
Definitely must visit place when I pass by the area. The atmosphere and friendly staff the main reason I keep coming back.
Dann T — Google review
Been coming here for 45 years used to be a family favorite. The place has gone way downhill. It’s really sad to see the clam Chowder is still off the chart. But the quality of the rest of the food and the way it is prepared is a shame we used to spend birthday parties here have family outings here when they had bull horns on the walls makes me sad to see the path it has taken

Fast food restaurant
Peppi's, located on Foothill Boulevard in Fontana, CA, is a charming American restaurant that offers a delectable selection of American and Korean cuisine. This family-owned eatery provides a retro dining experience and is known for its famous pastrami sandwich, chili cheese fries, Korean tacos, and other mouthwatering dishes. The restaurant's enclosed patio in a historic Route 66 building adds to the unique dining atmosphere.
Pretty solid food. I tried the beef bulgogi combo, boyfriend ordered a cheeseburger. Both were yummy, portions and price weren't bad at all. Would definitely try again. The cashier was also super nice and the restroom was also pretty clean which I appreciate. ❤️
Jocelyn F — Google review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 **Absolutely Incredible Sandwiches at Peppi’s!** Peppi’s is easily one of the best sandwich spots around — a true hidden gem! I came in on a recommendation and was *not* disappointed. The **Philly cheesesteak** is out of this world. The steak is super tender, loaded with flavor, and topped with perfectly grilled onions and melted cheese — all tucked into fresh bread that holds up beautifully. Every bite was rich, cheesy, and satisfying. But the real surprise? The **bulgogi** sandwich. WOW. The Korean-marinated beef is packed with sweet and savory flavor, grilled to perfection, and layered with just the right balance of spice and crunch. It’s a bold twist that works *so well* — definitely not something you find just anywhere. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and quick. Peppi’s nails it across the board. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or something unique, this place delivers. 💯 Highly recommend. You’ll be thinking about these sandwiches long after you leave.

My first time here today. Was very pleased with my order. It was made fresh. I had the Peppi’s grinder special combo. My boyfriend ordered the pastrami burger and I got my baby the kids meal cheeseburger. We also had fried mushrooms as side order. Very quick in getting our order out. They do charge for refills on drinks but it’s very affordable. Overall very good spot will definitely be coming back.
Magdalena R — Google review
We discovered this place in July and have been there 3 times since. The seasons on the burgers is perfection. I’d like to get their recipe. Everything is delicious, pastrami, loaded fries, and the burgers delish!
Xochitle T — Google review
Tried this place for the time today, per the reviews.. yes, it did take 20 minutes from time of order. We had the double bacon cheeseburger, that was delicious! You could tell that it was made fresh. The second thing I ordered was the new 10in chili cheese and pastrami (meat was a little too dry for me) hot dog, it was good but not as good as the burger. This place also has crinkle cut fries and those are always my favorite kind so I was super excited to see that! Ranch is $.25 each but is homemade so that was another plus! Plan on going back another and try other foods there. They serve Korean good as well .. can't wait to try it.

Philly cheesesteak and fried mushrooms was an extra soecial treat. Steak was tender, no fat, delicious, would def get again. Fried mushrooms a yummy guilty pleasure!!

Really good food. I've had the Pastrami burger, fried mushrooms, and the large Philly cheese. Everything taste great and consistent every time I have been there. Well worth going back over and over again. Last thing too they have good Ranch.
Steven B — Google review
My father introduced the family to this place in the late 90s. Yet and still the only thing that hasn't changed in almost 30 years is the way they prepare a pastrami sandwich (highly recommended). Their burgers are also prepared fresh and delicious. A nice stop off to rest and enjoy one of life's delicious food options.

Corky's Kitchen and Bakery - Fontana

American restaurant
Corky's Kitchen & Bakery in Fontana is a delightful local gem that captures the essence of classic American dining. Nestled on Sierra Ave, this charming eatery offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for gathering with family and friends. The menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering dishes, including their famous French toast and an array of homemade pies that are simply irresistible. One standout treat is the Snicker Bar Pie, which has garnered quite a fanbase for its rich flavors and creamy texture.
This morning, I had breakfast at Corky's Kitchen & Bakery, located at 10926 Sierra Ave, Fontana, CA, and it was a delightful experience. Right from the start, I was warmly greeted and seated promptly. My waitress, Kimberly, was attentive and very pleasant throughout my visit. I opted for one of their build-your-own omelets, choosing sausage, bacon, and avocado as my fillings. The omelet arrived quickly and was massive but delicious! Despite its size, I almost managed to finish it all because it was so tasty. The quality of the food and the excellent service has made me a soon-to-be regular. I'll definitely be coming back for more. Great experience overall!

Originally had 3 stars for the reasons listed under "prices" but after finally getting home and eating my sandwhich, it was the saddest piece of s that ive ever had. Taking down to 1. Chicken breast was beyond dry, thinner than my wifes eyeliner and taste was left behind. They dont even toast the bread, which makes the bottom super soggy and disgusting. I miss having a cocos near by, bread always toasted, flavor, portion, and prices were on point. Corkys uses shredded lettuce so for sure has even less lettuce than a regular lettuce leaf. The sweet girl at the front was awesome and correctly placed my order (per receipt) for my 3 sides (onion straws, steak fries, and potato salad). Cooks couldnt even get that right and i got 2 steak friea and 1 onion straw, missed my potato salad. PRICES- it's Corkys lol paid over $60 for 3 sandwhiches. Yo can go to almost any other restaurant and save money for the same services. Foods nothing special. Go to BJs crazy to think that a burger or sandwhich is cheaper there, more delicious, and better atmosphere. Crack a barrel cheaper and food is just as good. Won't be back. Good old corporate greed at its fullest. It's a sandwhich for God's sake not even a signature entree. Still trying to figure out how 2 pieces of cold bread (1 soggy bun), 1 chicken breast (dry and thin), 2 tomatoes slices, some lettuce go for that much, can't even blame inflation on this one.

We recently visited the Corky’s Kitchen & Bakery on Sierra Avenue in Fontana, and this branch definitely deserves a special mention. The restaurant is nicely decorated, bright, and very clean, giving off a comfortable and homely vibe the moment you walk in. Everything feels well-organized — from the seating arrangement to how quickly the tables are cleaned and prepared for the next guests. The staff were courteous, attentive, and well-mannered, which really added to the overall experience. They checked in just the right number of times and made sure we had everything we needed. You can tell that this particular branch values good service. The food was excellent, and I must say, this location stands out compared to other Corky’s branches I’ve tried. The flavors were spot-on, the portions generous, and everything came out fresh and hot. They have a large selection of brunch options, from classic breakfast plates to hearty lunch specials, making it easy for everyone at the table to find something they like. The pancakes were fluffy, the omelets well-cooked, and even the sides tasted better than average diner fare. Another big plus is parking — plenty of it and completely free. The lot is spacious, so even on weekends or busy mornings, you won’t have to drive around looking for a spot. Overall, this Corky’s is a clean, welcoming place with great food, friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re coming for breakfast, brunch, or a late lunch, this branch is worth the stop. It’s easily one of the best Corky’s locations around.
Manas S — Google review
If you’re looking for a breakfast spot in Fontana that hits all the right notes, Corky is the place to be! We kicked things off with their pancake appetizer, which was fluffy, golden perfection—just the right amount of sweetness to set the tone. For the main course, I went all out with the chili omelette and the country Benedict. Let me just say, bomb! The chili omelette was packed with flavor, with just enough spice to make it exciting. The country Benedict, though? A total standout. The biscuits were soft and buttery, the gravy was rich and creamy, and every bite felt like comfort on a plate. From start to finish, Corky delivered on taste, portions, and atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for hearty, delicious breakfast fare!
Joel — Google review
Food quality is terrible! Potatoes tasted like they were made yesterday and heated in the microwave and the chicken was tough. I thought I was chewing plastic! I usually go to their other locations and the waffle is pretty big but here you get the mini waffle but not the mini price. Not coming to this location again!

Had a late breakfast with a long time friend at 9:30 am on Monday. Had 2 eggs hash browns sausage and toast and coffee about 15 dollars. Good food with waitress that was attentive came by many times. Great restaurant.
Jack U — Google review
This is the Corky’s I frequent the most and 9 times out of 10 it’s excellent all around. Unfortunately most recently I had a horrible experience. I arrived at 9:20pm, 10 minutes prior to closing at 9:30pm in the hope of grabbing a pie to go. As I exited my vehicle one of the servers rushed to lock the door right in front of my face. I knocked on the glass hoping to get his attention to let him know all I wanted was dessert to go. He completely ignored me. As a former service worker I understand wanting to close out and end a shift in a timely manner. My timing wasn’t great but I factored in that all I wanted was a dessert that is already prepared and getting it to go so as to not inconvenience the staff. At the very least look me in the eye and tell me you’re closed even there were 10 minutes left. May have to find another location to take my business to.

I love the menu! I tried the shrimp enchiladas with my family last week and I can’t stop thinking about how delicious they are! I really love the unique menu, much different and tasty compared to a lot of other places in the area. The staff is attentive and so kind and it’s a comfortable spot to eat inside as well.

This cozy, family owned restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. Although the space is small, the staff efficiently manages table availability while you place your order. I’ve visited twice, and both times the food was exceptional. On this occasion, our group enjoyed the menudo and pozole, both of which were absolutely delicious. The bolillo was a perfect complement to the menudo, while the chips paired wonderfully with the pozole. This spot is clearly a local favorite, as they had already run out of champurrado during our visit, something I’ll definitely try next time. Highly recommend!
Marisela V — Google review
We ordered the chilaquiles with eggs and pozole. Since this was our first time trying this restaurant we asked for half green and half red chilaquiles. Both are delicious. The red is a perfect amount of spicy. I wanted to try the menudo but it's a popular item and they sold out. The pozole is very delicious. They give you a small bowl for frjoles de la hoya. This place has an atmosphere like eating at home. Great service and excellent food. We came to this restaurant a 2nd time ordering Huevos Rancheros and Chilaquiles. The Huevos Rancheros are the best I've ever tasted. They're made with homemade chile Verde and pork. The beans and rice take me back to good homemade food. It's a must try. The Chilaquiles are also very tasty. You can choose red or green or half n half. You will not be disappointed.

Happy Valentine's Day!! Thank you for the great service today. My coworker and I were immediately greeted. Shout out to the young lady who took my order and mentioned that Friday is discount tacos. My wife and I were looking for a new restaurant to try. I Googled authentic Mexican restaurant when I saw La Tapatia we decided to give them a try based on the positive reviews. Well the reviews were right!! The restaurant has a warm homely feeling with sitting area inside and out. As soon as we walked in Alondra greeted us with a warm welcoming smile. My wife ordered Huevos Rancheros and I Sunrise breakfast and 2 coffees. My wife and I sat outside when Alondra brought us our breakfast once again excellent service my wife could not stop talking about how delicious and authentic her Huevos Rancheros tasted and as for my Sunrise breakfast was just as delicious. Had a waitress by the name Abril who was patient and sweet, especially since it was a large family order. Started with the hot wings and mozzarella sticks which were delicious, wings we're juicy and the garlic taste on the mozzarella sticks paired great with the buttery ranch. The table had buffalo chicken sandwich, which was juicy and tender. 2 Appetizer specials with the fried zucchini, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and chicken tenders, the chicken tenders stood out so juicy and crispy on the outside. And the big breakfast substituted pancakes for biscuit and gravy, the bacon is going bring me back every time, potatoes were a little chunky for my liking and the biscuits didn't taste done in the middle. Nevertheless it was all still delicious and customer service treated us like family, we will be dining there again soon.

This quiet place in North Fontana is really a hidden gem. We moved to this area 2 yes ago and until recently, we tried it. Our only regret is that we haven't come sooner. The staff is friendly. Great place to find Asian food. We had the shrimp spring rolls and they are good. The banh mi pork sandwich is perfectly made. We had crab legs and they are fresh tasting and delicious. The pho is also great tasting and soothing if you are sick. They have a wide selection of food items. We tried several items so far and nothing has disappointed. I really recommend this place. Sorry for not posting sooner and I am missing a lot of pics.

Place is nice, but dang, this food is not like the photos that were posted. Where are the flat noodles, and the egg rolls tasted like they just bought them from costco and warmed them up. Sigh 😕 I thought this was gonna be my new favorite spot.

The soups were really good. Loved the garlicky flavor in the Chicken broth seafood soup. My bf ordered the combination Pho. The rib that came with the pho had a decent amount of meat on it. Would definitely come back. Service however, was a bit slow. Took a while to get the appetizers and the check. But our server was really nice. Overall, pretty good vibes, good music, felt clean. We got seated immediately. We also order the shrimp spring rolls. They felt fresh and they had nice and crispy lettuce. Just wished it had carrots and basil. But overall, great appetizer.

Came to this place for my mom. She wanted to try it and she loved it. They have a variety of Asian cuisine food. But I will tell you that sometimes on the pictures is not what you see on your plate. When we went, they said they haven’t updated the pictures, so it was less on my plate than it was on the pictures. But it was still good. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

We’ve been regulars here for years and usually enjoy our visits, but today was disappointing. The food came out at completely different times, making it hard to enjoy our meal together. Our waitress only showed up for the main course and dessert, which added to the disorganized service. Hoping this was just an off day, but it really affected our experience.

Clean and friendly restaurant. The food is amazing and fresh. The restaurant is beautiful inside. You must see it to believe it. The food is reasonably priced. When I go, I always accumulate points to use towards my next purchase. They are upfront with the prices. I have never had a bad experience there. I love going to this peaceful and amazing restaurant with food that is exquisite. Dont pass an opportunity to try out this food cause you will be missing out on great food. I love it here.

Food is always excellent and fresh. They missed an item on my order. But it's understandable, short on help, and a little busy. It had been a while since I dined here, and I am definitely coming back. Thanks, Summa sushi 🍣

Very good sushi for lunch and reasonably priced. The fish was fresh and the pieces were good sized. Lots of booth seating and some bar seating available. Service was very good. They have a few TVs if you want to watch a game. Parking is limited in front but there is a lot more by grocery store. Very convenient location and easy on and off from the 15. Great location for a stop with an RV due to the big box store lots. Will visit again for dinner to see how crowded they get! Would recommend. Will visit again.

I was very impressed with this place. The food was amazing and very friendly waitresses. The service was top notch I can't wait to go back to this place and have some more sushi and try out the rest of the menu. The food was hot when it came out and done perfectly! The sushi was very tasty.
Patrick T — Google review
I really enjoyed the teriyaki beef, the sauce wasn't too sweet perfect taste. The coconut shrimp roll taste was bland I don't recommend. The server was attentive with fast service
Sonia H — Google review
They service was a little slow, but hey it's Tuesday night. Other than that, this place was satiating. The Goyza were crunchy. The No Name Special Roll was creamy and light with sparring rice. I dont even like Lobster, but I couldn't stop eating the popcorn Lobster on the Super Diablo Roll. The absolute topper though, was by far the Tempura Fried Green Tea Ice Cream... I will go back just for desert!
Brianna R — Google review
Great food. Mediocre and very unenthusiastic server. I'd go back for the great sushi and cross my fingers for a better server though. Took off 2 stars because their soy sauce bottles were disgusting.
Devin D — Google review
I got the spicy Diablo roll which was ok not bad. My husband had the marinated short ribs he said it was to sweat and fatty. Our son got the Tasumi ramen he like that. The soft shell crab was great but the sauce they served with it had no flavor. I would suggest serving the soft shell crab with ponzu sauce. My husband loved the tako sushi he said they made it perfect. The service was good the waitress were attentive. Its been two years since we've been here. I would suggest removing all of the boxes from the tables it just looks really bad and it takes up seating from potential customers

Came here on a Sunday trying to find somewhere fast pace with good food and this place did just that will definitely return ! Customer service 10/10 !!! Smells like my nana’s kitchen !!!

This restaurant is very clean and organized. The food is delicious and made to order. This restaurant is way overpriced compared to other Mexican restaurants. Be ready to spend a good amount of money for a family to eat here. The large agua frescas (fruit flavor drinks) cost $8.00! Not recommend for kids to eat here unless they eat all their food. It's great for a quick date night.

Kept it simple and tried the al pastor torta. PROS : Torta has good flavor throughout. Mango/ dragon fruit water & cucumber water have great flavor. CONS: Torta bread is plain and a bit dry. SUGGEST: Improve dough for a moist, rich flavor. Overall : Enjoyed the food and would come back! Many thanks Anglea

The Torta Cubana was excellent, cooked fresh to order, done within 5 minutes, well worth the $13 price. They also bake fresh pan dulce and bolillo's.Took some conchas & bolillo's home, and they were outstanding.

Was my first time at El Gallo Giro. Really love this place. Has all the feel of a traditional mercado with pan dulce and all the delicious meats for tortas, tacos & burritos. I had the 4 taco combo with pastor, carnitas, abobada and fritanga. All were excellent. Restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Only minor complaint is that the wait was kind of long but it was worth. Staff is also very friendly. Will definitely come back again.
Nathan S — Google review
The flavor is good. Unfortunately they don’t have tongue burritos anymore. I ordered Buche Burrito and for the price of these burritos, I honestly expected a good amount of Buche Which is the meat honest another thing that I recommend is it should be well distributed because the little meat that I got was like on one side of the burrito. Maybe it was the way it was folded

Nestled in the heart of Fontana, Thai Garden BBQ is a delightful culinary gem that promises an authentic taste of Thailand. This charming eatery has garnered attention for its flavorful dishes, including standout options like sprouts and tofu with oyster sauce served alongside perfectly cooked brown rice. Diners rave about the egg rolls too, noting their crispy texture without being greasy—a true testament to the kitchen's skill.
The food is fantastic! The service not good at all, the lady who did the service today did not have a good attitude at all, we almost leave the place for the way how the person assisted us since the beginning, very bad attitude. (Recommendations to improve). We understand business owners and want to support this business, we don’t want to put a bad review but some people are less aware of the impact that it could generate to a business on Google. the effort and the food is delicious. ❤️ I tried to find a way to send a message privately but the website was down and did not see any other way than here. Thank you!

The food was great. I ordered the BBQ Pork Ribs over Thai Fried Rice and it was good. Serving size was generous, in fact I didn't finish it all. Hubby ordered the mixed platter of Chicken and Beef Satay and BBQ Pork Ribs. Again, he ended up not finishing. We're definitely coming back to try their other dishes!

Wish I was able to eat but was rejected by an employee with 40 minutes till close. Arrived at 8:20pm and they close at 9pm. When I worked in the food industry we let ppl come in till closing time. Once it was 9pm we locked the doors. Thai Garden Bbq if you reject customers coming in at 8pm pls do everyone a favor and update your hours.

My apologies on the low rating. I really, really wanted 2 rate this place much higher. My service was excellent! The food, nothing 2 brag about, it was bland. (pineapple fried rice) I've definitely had better. The presentation was also on point and I was the only customer there. The reason for the low star, I saw a fly! I usually pay attention 2 things like that, and I'll just leave/walk out, if I see a fly present; but the fly decided 2 hideout until my food came out of the kitchen! I still gave it a try, but won't be going back .

I ordered Cream Cheese Wontons, Pineapple Shrimp + Chicken Fried Rice and Shrimp Pad Thai. I thought the wontons were very crispy, I had a 15min drive home, this info is important to me lol. I enjoyed the fried rice, the pineapple, cucumbers and carrots were very fresh. They add raisins to this dish, I absolutely believe it could do without and if you ask the will keep them out. I loved the Pad Thai, no complaints from me. I think this was a pretty good amount of food and it stayed under 30$. I would visit this restaurant again.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing! The food was excellent and fresh! The portions are phenomenal and the price is so economical and budget-friendly. My family and I highly recommend the Brown rice dishes, mint chicken, noodle dishes and the egg rolls! Honestly, I recommend the whole menu because they have great options! Lastly, this restaurant offers vegetarian options! Yay 😁

Ontario International Airport

International airport
Airport
Airport serving the San Bernardino & Riverside areas, with flights to cities in the U.S. & Mexico.
We flew out of and flew back into the Ontario Airport. This airport seemed well organized and the staff were nice. Lots of food places to grab a bite or drink. We checked our bags in with no issues. Air Conditioning was running and the bathrooms were clean. TSA PreCheck went smoothly.
Michele L — Google review
Ontario International Airport is a pretty well-managed small airport. I’ve never been through security this fast—less than 5 minutes, which is the quickest in my entire travel experience. The airport has limited gates but everything is organized and well managed, making it an easy and stress-free option compared to larger airports.
Ankur R — Google review
ONT really surprised me in the best way possible. It’s one of the most efficient and relaxed airports I’ve ever flown from in Southern California. The layout is simple and intuitive, and security was fast with barely any wait. Everything felt calm and clean — such a contrast to the chaos of larger airports like LAX. I was flying business class, and the overall process from check-in to boarding was smooth and comfortable. ONT has earned a spot on my list for future travel in and out of LA especially when I want a quick and stress-free airport experience.
Genta — Google review
I've flown in and out of this airport a few times. It's a "good size" airport. It's big enough plenty of flights come in and out. But small enough to not have to walk for an hour to get to your gate. Busy but never feels super crowded. Clean facility, and friendly staff. Not to mention you're always close by something to eat, or a 5 minute walk from a shop of some sort. Or creative vending machines.
Max Z — Google review
Ontario International Airport has been steadily growing and improving for years. My family and I have used this airport for over 40 years. We appreciate the freeway access, the parking, the security, the airlines and the cleanliness. It is a friendly part of Southern California!
David S — Google review
Ontario International Airport is truly a hidden gem. For a long time, we used to travel through San Diego and cross into Tijuana using the CBX bridge. At first, it seemed convenient, but in reality, it’s not really worth it. Parking there is expensive, prices can go up to around $35 per day depending on the month, and you have to walk quite a bit since there’s no shuttle service and the area isn’t very comfortable to move around, often with dirt paths. On top of that, you have to pay to use the bridge, and once you cross, there’s still a long walk to get to the Tijuana airport. It’s far from the Inland Empire, and when you add the cost of gas, time, parking, and the bridge fee, it really doesn’t make sense anymore. That’s why Ontario International Airport has become a real game changer for us. It’s close, convenient, and easy. Parking is just steps away or you can take the quick shuttle. When you land, you’re practically home already. When you compare everything, the time, effort, gas, bridge fee, and parking, the “savings” you think you’re getting with Tijuana flights really disappear. Most flights from Tijuana also leave very early in the morning, which makes it even more inconvenient. So for us, using Ontario International Airport just makes more sense. It’s faster, simpler, and far more comfortable when traveling to Mexico or anywhere else.

Excellent airport. Staff is really good for shuttle drivers, Rental car agencies, TSA, Clear, and the others working the airport and cleaning staff are professional.
Sean C — Google review
I was physically violated by the TSA here. Their professionalism is missing and they completely disregard anxious passengers. They spoke to me in a demeaning way and embarrassed me in front of other passengers. I never want to fly to this airport again. They really need to take a look at their TSA staff, particularly their supervisors! They are not qualified to be leading anything. They need training on how to properly handle interacting with passengers without disrespecting, harassing, or insulting them.

Long Beach Airport

Airport
Domestic airport
Long Beach Airport, also known as LGB, has been recognized as one of the most convenient airports in the country for travelers. As the winter holidays approach, peak travel days are expected to be from now through December 23, with a slight drop on December 24 and 25 before picking up again on December 26. Long Beach offers a variety of beautiful landscapes including wetlands and woodlands, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers.
If you’re flying in or out of LA, Long Beach Airport is a hidden gem. It’s small, super easy to get through (security in five minutes or less!), and has a relaxed, open-air layout that feels way more like a resort than an airport. There’s cool art and murals all around, and for its size, it has a solid lineup of food options too. It’s also incredibly easy to get to if you’re staying in Long Beach or nearby. Honestly, once you fly through Long Beach, you won’t want to deal with LAX again!
Sam — Google review
Long Beach Airport is one of the easiest airports to travel through. It’s simple to get to, parking is a breeze, and pickup/drop-off is quick and hassle-free. The terminal is clean and well-organized, making both arrivals and departures smooth and efficient. A great alternative to larger airports in the area
William K — Google review
Seriously, if you're flying into Southern California for a trip to Disneyland or just to explore the area, you HAVE to fly into Long Beach Airport. This isn't just an airport; it's a breath of fresh air. The moment you land, you'll notice how easy and relaxed everything feels. There's no chaotic rush, the terminals are a breeze to navigate, and getting your bags is the fastest I've ever experienced. It's so efficient it feels like magic. The design is beautiful, and there's a unique, friendly vibe you won't find anywhere else. Forget the stress of bigger airports — LGB is the perfect start to any vacation. I'm officially a huge fan and will choose to fly here every time.

To the wonderful TSA Officer that found my empty water container (ID Check Counter), you sir are a ROCKSTAR! From one government employee to another you went above and beyond without even knowing me. You all are seen, heard, appreciated, and valued. Thank you for your service!
Shaun W — Google review
My husband and I usually fly Delta, United, or American out of LAX for domestic trips, but this time we scored a great Southwest deal: LGB-HOU-MSY. It was perfect since it flew out of Long Beach Airport, which is so much closer to home and way less hectic (just thinking about the Memorial Day crowds at LAX was enough to say nope). Even though we had to connect in Houston, the layover was only 30 minutes, and we got to check in 4 bags for free before 5/28/2025, can’t beat that, so we booked it right away! Self check-in, dropping off luggage, security, and baggage claim were all super easy. If you want a hassle-free airport experience in Southern California, I’d definitely recommend flying in and out of LGB.
Jenny L — Google review
This airport is small but beautiful. It is very easily walk able with no stairs (that I encountered) and a short walk to passenger pick up/drop off. I flew in late and left early in the morning but will absolutely use this airport again. The food options were not open when I arrived but when I left, the bakery stand was running and the doughnut I got was very very good. The staggering was warm, helpful and pleasant to engage with and both times boarding went very quickly. I flew Southwest, as a reference for airlines
Mackenna T — Google review
Quick & easy! Didn’t have to remove shoes. Workers friendly, had no attitude when asked questions even if they seemed self explanatory or even what You may consider a dumb question
Tracey S — Google review
This is definitely my new favorite way to fly. Our last few flights have been out of Long Beach and the stress levels were almost non-existent! Drop off and pickups are a breeze. The only caveat is if your layover airport is having weather issues and your flight gets cancelled, there are a lot fewer options for alternative flights. But for how fast the deplaning and luggage collection and arrivals pickups are, LGB is the best.

John Wayne Airport

Airport
Domestic airport
John Wayne Airport is an international airport located in Orange County, offering convenience and ease of travel. The airport features a unique aviation museum within an on-site hangar. Travelers appreciate the cleanliness and manageable size of the airport, making it easy to navigate. However, it's important to note that the TSA lines can get crowded due to its smaller size. While there are limited stores and restaurants, they may close early, so travelers should plan accordingly.
I would do whatever in my power to avoid LAX. SNA, on the other hand is probably the best airport in CA. In fact, In September 2024, the J.D. Power 2024 North America Airport Satisfaction Study ranked John Wayne as the #1 large airport in North America (for airports handling 10–32.9 million passengers annually). The TSA staff is overall friendly and laid back - polar opposite of those at LAX. Bathrooms are clean and there are plenty of it. I rarely face flight delays here. Large selection of restaurants to get your vacation buzz started and kill time.
Kay L — Google review
This was a great alternative to flying into LAX. Much less busy than LAX. Still significant traffic, so leave early. They have some direct flights and have lots of connections from major hubs. The airport is easily walkable from one end to the other, but had multiple food options and other shops. We definitely liked navigating this airport better than LAX. We definitely plan to use John Wayne airport in the future.
Jim C — Google review
Flying out of John Wayne Airport was such a smooth experience! Compared to the chaos of LAX, this airport was a breath of fresh air. Returning my rental was simple and getting to the gate was no hassle at all. I was on my way to Texas and found the whole process easy and stress-free. What I like most is that the airport is small enough to navigate without feeling rushed or overwhelmed, but still big enough to handle things efficiently. It really makes travel feel less like a chore and more like a pleasant part of the journey. I’m glad this airport exists because it makes flying out of Southern California so much easier. If you want a smoother, calmer, and quicker travel option, this airport is a solid choice. Follow @joeypauga on TT, FB, YT, IG, LinkedIN and X

I love this airport. Super casual, super easy. Casual enough that a TSA agent chatted with me about our favorite films. That’s a huge difference from the high traffic at LAX. Planes land, and they immediately pull up to the gate to deplane, like they should. If you land at ORD you might spend an hour on the tarmac, which is awful, but not at SNA! Find the John Wayne statue in terminal A by checked baggage. This airport is like one long tunnel. Super easy to navigate, without any confusion. They also had a nice guy playing piano near some restaurants! You can park right outside which is nice but they raised the prices to $30/day which is my only complaint. Highly recommend you park at Renaissance Newport Beach hotel across the street for $9.99. They have a shaker service and driver you to the airport in a nice new Tahoe. They give you a claim check to pick up your car and they pick you up at the airport when you call them. I used the Cheap airport parking site for that. Beats LAX where it feels like you’re getting arrested if your friend picks you up at the airport.
Alex — Google review
A calm and efficient airport that offers a refreshing change from the busy LAX experience. It’s compact, quiet, and rarely feels crowded, making it an excellent choice if you’re traveling to or from the Santa Ana, Irvine or greater LA area. Security and check-in are usually quick, and the gates are conveniently located just a short walk after TSA, which makes the whole process smooth and stress-free. While the airport doesn’t have a huge range of dining options, the available cafés and snack spots are decent for a quick bite before your flight. Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free airport experience , ideal for travelers who value convenience and efficiency over size and variety.
Ratnam R — Google review
First time flying out of John Wayne Airport (SNA) and it was incredibly easy. I parked in Parking A1 and easily found a spot, headed to Terminal 1 and made my way to Delta. Once checked in, it was an easy walk over to Pre-TSA check, where the line was super quick. Once I was past security, it was easy to locate my gate. I did overnight parking for the duration of my travels, which came out to $30/day (July 2025). It’s not a big airport, which is a good thing. It was calm and easy. I just wish they had restrooms at every other gate at least.

10.6.25: Fast forward 4 days and vacation is over and I'm back here to catch my flight home. In 4 days, the government shut down has begun to affect operations of airports and flights. Of course I kept checking and it kept getting delayed further. I had my fingers crossed my flight doesn't get cancelled and if it doesn't--that, I don't miss my connecting flight in Sacramento. In the end, I finally boarded my flight with just over an hour delay. I was thankful it wasn't cancelled and my connecting flight had a slight delay as well, which was in my favor. In the end, I finally made it back to Spokane before midnight. Grateful for all the airport workers, crew, TSA, flight attendants, and pilots that despite the government shut down, they continued to do their jobs and keep us safe. 10.2.25: Came here to visit friends. Deplaning and navigating to the luggage carousels was fairly easy as I followed the signs. By the time I went to the bathroom, my luggage was already on the carousel and I was out the door.
