Nixdorf Classic Cars museum

Museum

Nixdorf Classic Cars in Summerland, British Columbia is a popular attraction featuring beautifully restored cars from various eras. Visitors can enjoy pointing out familiar cars and reading their descriptions while exploring the museum. The host provides additional information about the cars, making the experience even more engaging. Additionally, visitors can rent these classic cars for special occasions, adding an extra layer of appeal to this unique destination.
We took a planned family visit here on Father’s Day and dad thoroughly enjoyed pointing out the many cars he knew and remembered from over the years. They are beautifully restored with descriptions. The juke box was fun and was and the host added a lot of additional information about the cars. Wish we had known they also rent them out before for some special occasions we have had. Something to keep in mind for the future! There are cars through all the eras but my fav’s have more chrome.
Charlene W — Google review
Refurbished vintage cars. Not my thing, but made my special guy very happy! Love the vintage jukebox 😊
Jackie — Google review
Highly recommended! Excellent display of restored automobiles with brief bullet notes on how they were acquired or interesting facts. I’m not a car aficionado but I loved the exhibit. Plus there’s a vintage jukebox you can play for free. And not to forget the mammoth tusks & teeth. The admission fee ($20 or $15 if 4 or more) goes to fund an accessible camp.❤️
Kim M — Google review
Nixdorf is a fun little museum a bit off the beaten path. It'll take you a little while to get there from Kelowna (and a while longer from, say, Seattle, like me), but it's absolutely worth the drive. The cars there are a spectacular collection, and the people know their stuff!
James G — Google review
Highly recommend and worth the entry price - which goes to charity. The men who chatted with us were generous with their time and patient with our questions. They opened hoods to let us check out engines. They booked an appointment for us since we couldn’t come on a weekend and let us bring in our small well behaved dog. This is a real gem of a place - super for all car lovers. The jukebox that is free to play was my teen’s favourite part!
Krista V — Google review
Great collection of classics. Friendly service from the owner.
Colin W — Google review
Awesome place, the mood is set with 50's tunes. People are super friendly
Kenny B — Google review
If you like classic cars and helping a worthwhile charity then this is well worth a visit, excellent

Summerland Museum and Archives Society

Heritage museum
Summerland Museum and Archives Society offers a captivating journey through the history of Summerland, BC. The permanent exhibit delves into the area's pre-contact era, early fruit farming endeavors, and the influence of the Kettle Valley Railway. Visitors can marvel at a detailed scale model of the railway as it traverses through Summerland. The museum also houses books recounting local history and provides helpful staff to guide visitors through its exhibits.
The Summerland museum has great history and let’s you have an immersive experience when you visit. I fondly recall visiting here as a young child in the 80’s & 90’s growing up in Summerland. Going back and bringing my own daughter was a nostalgic trip down memory lane and incredible way for us to learn the history of Summerland and the Okanagan. Although it seemed smaller than I recall as a child, the model train was as cool as I could ever remember!
Lani R — Google review
The model railway is a must see! Enjoyed it so much
Linda X — Google review
Free entry but suggested donation to enter. Friendly staff, interesting and informative exhibits including "Stop and Reflect" signs beside panels asking how the framing of the information and stories on the panels connect to the Syilx Okanagan Nations of the area. Very cool model train exhibit on the top floor, accessible by stairs, on the historic railway of the area.
Michael M — Google review
We loved it. Very interesting stories
Mahtab T — Google review
Great little museum! My kids loved the dress up area and the model trains. Great way to learn about the area. Highly recommended.
Dan M — Google review
Nice local museum centrally located in town. Staff were friendly, exhibits highlighted local and regional information.
Kyle C — Google review
Really well done small museum. Model train recreation of local rail lines was brilliant.
Jim S — Google review
Summerland has a lovely little downtown and more amenities than you would imagine. And all in close proximity to each other. They've got their act together at the museum. It's compact and comprehensive. Just big enough to be impressive and not so big that your kids will get restless. And the train upstairs is impressive to young and old. Good work!

Giant's Head Mountain Park

Mountains
Giant's Head Mountain Park in Summerland offers two options for reaching the summit: driving to the parking lot near the top and walking, hiking, or cycling the remaining 10-15 minutes, or starting at the bottom for a 1-2 hour hike. The panoramic views from the top include Okanagan Lake, Penticton, and Naramata. The area features additional trails leading to Giant's Head for those seeking more exercise.
If you are a seasoned hiker, it's super easy and can be done in about an hour and a half round trip. Up the road, or the Grinder. It's steep, but the path is wide and for the most part it's a paved road and is about 5km round-trip. Great elevation (about 300 meters) , great workout, and the scenery is spectacular. This is one of my favorite local walks. Easy, with a great reward of beautiful views at the top. Picnic tables at the top and washrooms at the bottom.
Mandy E — Google review
What a gorgeous surprise. I am just visiting the area and looked up a hike for my dog and I. There is everything here. We went up the steep red called the grind (took 40 mins but I stopped for photos and scenery) and then descended down a combo of the yellow and blue trials, as well as the road. I’m glad to have had the trails to myself early morning. It was getting busy after 11am. And by busy I mean I saw maybe 6 people. And there were 5 vehicles in the parking lot.
Christine C — Google review
Beautiful hike. Takes about 2 hours round trip pending what trial you take. Absolutely be sure to go all the way to the second peak. We took the Friendly Giant blue trail, was an easy moderate. The Grind red looks like a straight up hill hole, would be fun trail too. Easy parking. We’ll marked trails.
Tristen H — Google review
This is an amazing hike!! We parked at the park gate and hiked up the "Giant's Head Grind" which is an advanced hike with very steep sections. It's easy to follow the marked trail denoted by the white pegs with Green/Grey/Blue stripes. This hike takes a good two hours to complete. There are also more moderate trails that take you to the summit as well. If you are in shape, I definitely recommend the "Grind". It's worth it!! The view at the top is well worth the hike up. The best way down from the top is to follow the winding paved road.
Jorge A — Google review
Beautiful hike, nice variety of difficulty levels for getting to the top from the lower gate. Trails are well marked but narrow, which could be tricky in some areas along the slope if it gets busy, but I only saw one other person the morning of April 13. Great views.
Shannon M — Google review
Great hike with off-road options of various difficulties. We went at the start of December and the narrow single lane road to the top was closed. Road was a bit frosty with a few icy patches, but considering the time of year that was expected. It's a popular hike, we passed about twenty people or so, half of them with dogs. Amazing views at the top.
Monique T — Google review
Please search for ''Giants Head Hike Parking' if you are searching a point on Google Maps to visit Giants Head Park in a vehicle (car). At the entrance of the park, you will be confused if you should drive in as the road is very narrow. This is the most beautiful place to visit in the whole of Summerland. We have been there to witness sunset. And it was majestic. The hike to the top from Parking is about 15 mins. If you are fit, you can complete the hike in 7 mins through shortcuts. There is a time capsule which will be opened on 01st July 2067. It has been buried on 01st July 1967. Experience - 10 Price - $0 (Free Entry)
Abhishek M — Google review
Awesome little gem, awesome trails, almost single lane up if driving, go slow up but even slower down if you like your brakes :) and also because people walk on the road so for caution.

The Beanery Café is a charming coffee shop located on Main Street in Summerland, British Columbia. It's known for its fresh coffee, bold espressos, and delightful baked goods. The café offers a cozy atmosphere with plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor tables to enjoy views of downtown Summerland. Visitors praise the soothing ambiance and unique decor that includes beautiful plants.
We hired Ashley and her team from The Beanery Cafe to cater the dessert for our wedding in June 2025. We needed flexibility and and a variety of items all while staying on theme and reasonable budget. Ashley hit every single mark for us without hesitation and made our day so much easier because of it. The desserts were tasty and everything was professionally done. We can't thank Ashley and the team enough! If you need catering, hire them!
Nicole F — Google review
This place is just okay. The coffee was pretty good, but the food was just meh - it didn’t seem very home made or fresh. The coffee shop is big with a lot of seating and a really nice patio out front. It’s pretty trendy feeling overall. The service when we went was extremely slow even though it wasn’t very busy. We stood in line at the counter for multiple minutes before anyone helped us. The worst part about our experience was the music - they were playing slow, sad music and it really made us just not want to be there.
Logan B — Google review
I came here after a year and all I experienced was a dissapointment. I ordered a flat white, which didn’t even get close to look like, not mentioning taste like the flat white. It was just a milk and a bit of coffee. $1.25 for an alternative milk? Come on… if the coffee was at least worth it. You should train your girls how to make coffee or charge different money for what you serve. The bread was not sourdough at all, it was the plain white bread, the simple tasted bread. The sandwich was ok but definitely missing “greens”, unless three leaves of spinach is nowadays considered as greens… Unfortunately, the only positive thing about this visit was that the place still looked nice. I used to recommend this place to everyone travelling thru Summerland, but I am will not anymore
Zuzana B — Google review
A very nice and beautiful place in the downtown of Summerland. The ambience is very soothing where you could spend hours and hours without getting bored. The owners have come up with the unique and great idea where they have included plants which add up in the beauty of this Cafe. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Will surely visit this place again.
Salim K — Google review
Lots of great food options and a variety of drinks to appease all pallets!
J D — Google review
Best bakery in Summerland. Excellent service. Everything made in house. They have some of the most amazing cakes! Best Snickerdoodle cookies I’ve ever had. Yummy sandwiches too. Vegan and vegetarian options.
Breathe C — Google review
I love this cafe! Great vegan options and lovely vibe. The presentation on the Vegan Mac N’ Cheeze was poor but it was so delicious. The Vegan Panini was really good too but maybe a little more toasted and cut in half would be good! The Peach Pit Smoothie was delicious, I hope they use sustainable take out packaging. I would definitely go here again!
Meagan M — Google review
Coffee oasis in the Okanagan Valley! Owner/manager Braden has created a fantastic coffee shop serving fresh coffee and espressos, along with assorted baked goods. We visited twice and had Americanos which were bold and flavourful. Plenty of tables inside to find a spot to enjoy your java, and admire the simple and interesting decor. They also have some outdoor seating where you can slip away and take in the views of downtown Summerland. I love the stamps they put on the cups, which kinda ties in with the theme of the place. If I would be driving by Summerland I would definitely stop for a coffee and a bite of something sweet. Love supporting local businesses and you should too.

Dominion Cider Co. is a delightful stop on Bottleneck Drive, where visitors can enjoy a unique tasting experience in a cozy Quonset hut setting. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere as you sample their diverse range of ciders, with options like the April in Paris winesap and the subtly flavored Nom de Plume.
Passionate team of 3 who love their craft. This cider is fantastic. More wine like in its complexity. We were so happy to have stumbled upon this farm. Their juice and non alcoholic options are also fantastic. Absolutely worth stopping at this producer.
Eric D — Google review
Back to Dominion Cider to see what’s new. Tastings are $5.00/person but waived with a purchase. Poured four tasters; magic hour, nom de plume (plum), theory and practice (pet nat) and falling in staves (apricot). Their ciders are on the drier side but always enjoy their experimental series bottles. Bought bottles of hope springs eternal (peaches) and falling in staves ($20.00 each).
B — Google review
We partnered with Dominion to have custom labeled ciders as wedding favours and they were an absolute pleasure to work with! They connected us directly to their label vendor and then accommodated for an order of 120 cans within their next canning label run. The cans turned out beautifully and were a hit with our guests. Mike was very cordial to coordinate pick up and payment.
Malorie — Google review
Love their ciders! Surprisingly not acidic for dry ciders. My favorites: raspberry and rhubarb. Great service, pleasant atmosphere, nice terrace to chill, play games and walk a dog.
Could A — Google review
Super raw, rad experience! Very tasty ciders with knowledgeable and passionate staff. Can’t wait to bring everyone I know here! Checked out the neighbouring Natural Winery called Pamplemousse Jus which was also incredible.
Linsey L — Google review
A favourite cidery while visiting the Okanagan. Wonderful, interesting information about each cider. Great service.
Jen — Google review
Always a good time when we stop into Dominion Cider to see what’s new. Tastings are now charged (for 4 pours) but the fee is waived with purchase. Our pourer was super friendly and bubbly. Bottles are $20.00 and a 4-pack is $24.00 (tax included). - April in Paris – winesap single variety. - Nom de plume – off dry, plum was very subtle. - All that glitters – tang of nectarine comes through and smelled heavenly. We bought a bottle ($20.00) for home. - Hope springs eternal – peaches, smoother than the nectarine. - Times like these – kveik fermented cider. A beer cider hybrid. - Castles in the sky – perry co-fermented with pinot noir. This was super delicious. They use grapes from Lightning Rock. We also bought a bottle ($20.00).

Amazing ciders that are all so fun to try. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

The Summerland Trout Hatchery & Visitor Centre is a remarkable destination where kind-hearted individuals have transformed a non-profit organization into a valuable asset for the environment, community, and local wildlife. This establishment also plays a crucial role in British Columbia by providing fish to more than 300 lakes, which contributes significantly to the region's well-being. The center's efforts are commendable as they help keep these lakes stocked with fish.
Very interesting to learn all about the process taken to stock the lakes for fishers!
Shelley S — Google review
We participated in the learn to fish program and we found Ethan and Jacob to be so good with the kids and great at teaching them
Erin K — Google review
My kids (8 &11) and their adults spent some lovely time here. Jacob gave us a tour of the facilities and answered questions from the curious kiddos while Ethan taught the kiddos how to cast with a fishing rod. A shame that we got a tour of the facility and learned about the learn to fish program and how the facility is able to stock all the various lakes for sport fishing. The facility was clean and staffed with friendly individuals. Would recommend the visit to other families.
C. C — Google review
Friendly people who turn a non-profit organization into something useful for our environment, community and the wildlife in the area. Oh and did I mention they help keep the lakes stocked! Well worth the visit.

Food & Drink
Detonate Brewing Company, a Craft Brewery situated in Summerland, features a compact tasting room where patrons can sample their delicious beer offerings. Although the establishment lacks a food menu, it is highly recommended for IPA enthusiasts. What sets this brewery apart is its diverse selection of IPAs, including the darker Tinroof and an intriguing IPA stout blend. The owner's efforts have resulted in a remarkable transformation of the space, creating an exceptionally unique atmosphere.
Detonate Brewing is the closest brewery to our home. It's definitely like our neighbourhood brewery. We can walk to the brewery, which is great. It's a nice spot, with a cozy indoor space, and a parking lot patio. They have a good selection of beers, plus wine and cider, and a non-alcoholic haskap lemonade. Their smash burgers are delicious, and yesterday we enjoyed spinach dip for the first time, and it was excellent. I really enjoy their Cherry Bomb Kettle Sour. The owner Jonah is awesome and very community minded, and the servers are great. They also have trivia and live music and other events there too.
Kim L — Google review
Love this brewery! Their smash burger is sooo delicious, great beer and wine selection too. Best part is that they’re dog friendly, we were able to bring our fur baby inside with us for lunch. Awesome service from Joe as well, we hope to be back soon!
V P — Google review
Don't go on Saturday's for burger selection. They don't have a full menu and the burgers don't come with fries on Saturday despite being the same price. Burger was really good which is the only reason this is two stars and not one. Limited seating inside but that is as expected.
Anon A — Google review
After trying 8 beers, only liked 2: citra and pineapple pale ale. Don’t order wings: they are overcooked and hard as stone. Smash burger is tiny for $18.
Could A — Google review
Another solid brewery! Really like the industrial vibe and after trying 7 beer I was happy with the selection. My favorite was the West Coast IPA, German Pilsner, and surprisingly the Haskap Radler (don't know how this worked!). Food options as well, but we did not partake.
Brittany H — Google review
They have this Rum guava daiquiri that is superb. I didn't have the burgers but I saw them and they looked incredible.
Tracey F — Google review
Visited three times during our recent trip to Summerland, BC — and it never disappointed! Besides their excellent craft beers, they have without a doubt the best burgers I’ve had in British Columbia. Amazing service, friendly atmosphere, pet-friendly, and great people all around.

Cafe
Granny's Fruit Stand, Bakery, and Cafe in Summerland is a charming spot offering an array of local, in-season fruits, 16 flavors of ice cream, and a bakery with freshly baked goods. The cafe serves up sandwiches, soups, salads, and features a full espresso bar using locally roasted beans. Visitors can enjoy their food on-site while taking in vintage items like a 1960s German stereo. This 100% owner-operated business ensures great prices and quality.
So great! Everything was homemade and tasted incredible. The coffee was fresh and delicious. Pretty easy to access off of the highway too. Loved it here!
Emily P — Google review
Been here a few times over the years and it’s always good. However I enjoy their sandwiches and coffee more than the sweet baking. It’s still good, but it’s just not my favourite. I also like the staff here. Especially the young fella who reminded me to get more coffee. Recommend stopping in for breakfast or lunch and checking out their adjacent fruit stand.
Robert S — Google review
Turkey Apple Brie sandwich came with a single, paper-thin apple slice in the center. Had to argue with the employee that the apple isn't "just thin", but fully missing from 70% of the sandwich. My remade sandwich had passive-aggressively thick apples, and no turkey. Sad to see such an iconic spot treat locals like a tourist. I got a refund and went to Sunflower Cafe instead.
Scott T — Google review
Delicious breads and baking. Reasonable prices and friendly service. My favourite is their carrot cake muffins with cream cheese and their German pastry I can’t spell, but it has cream in the middle and toasted almonds on top.
Breathe C — Google review
Mixed review. The bakery is fantastic as are the sandwiches. The staff is friendly and efficient and I would highly recommend. As for the produce… that’s another story. I have stopped here several times this year. A couple of weeks ago I bought a bag of green beans and had to throw them out the next night as they were slimy. Last time I went I bought cherries, raspberries and blueberries and had to toss the raspberries the next day as they were moldy, and the cherries and blueberries were thrown out the following day as they were soft and just past it. It’s a shame as we buy tons of produce every year and always stop at farm stands, but I won’t be trying this one again.
Wendy H — Google review
EXPENSIVE PIES! We stopped here on the way through town looking for pies to bring for a family gathering. There was blueberry and blueberry-peach fresh out of the oven. The blueberry peach was a curious combination, but man was it delicious! The blueberry was okay. But at $26 per pie (pre tax) I don’t think I’ll be back. I get that it’s made with local fruit, but I think the price point is way too high! The pies were 9”. Service was friendly and the place was clean.
Nikki R — Google review
Overhyped and overrated. Fruits are expensive. Fruit pops (ice cream bars) are expensive at $5.50 each. Tried their bumble berry pie and brownie which was highly recommended by other reviewers but found them to be ok, nothing exceptional. Both were pretty average. Vanilla ice cream served with brownie is from Chapman's, not sure why when they have foothills? Chapman's ice creams are not healthy at all. They have a separate fruit and bakery section. They sell foothills ice cream. They didnt even have 1 out of 6 flavors we asked. Service however was good, not bad. We stopped on our way to Penticton. Overall it wasn't worth the visit. Just an average fruit stand.

Situated at the heart of Summerland, this family-owned brewery offers a variety of core beers and constantly introduces new flavors through their rotating tap. The all-ages restaurant provides an ideal setting to pair your beer with delicious meals. Named after the iconic prehistoric volcano that overlooks Summerland, Giant's Head Brewing is not only a landmark but also a community favorite.
Love this spot!! Nice atmosphere, large patio on the street and great service. The beer was fantastic and food too. The fish n chips are a must, so delicious
Natasha S — Google review
We came here twice and had two very different experiences. The first time we came, everything was great. The Caesars were amazing, the focaccia was great, and the service was good. However, the second time we came, it was a completely different experience. The focaccia was dry and tasted days old, the Caesar was subpar and didn’t even have a salted rim, and the service was slow. Both times we went the beer was great - definitely their strong suit. The atmosphere is also really great - it’s nice having the big open windows in the summer! Would be a five star review if there was a bit more consistency.
Logan B — Google review
We were in Summerland from the UK for a couple of weeks and visited this place 5 times as it was close to ours friends home and a really great venue. The staff were all really friendly but I have to mention Shannon and Gemma who made our experiences brilliant. Being from the UK it was lovely to hear Gemma’s northern accent and her warm welcome. Shannon was proactive friendly and funny from the minute we walked in and her way with all customers was so lovely to watch. The wings and chowder were exceptional and nicely finished off with the sundae and doughnuts. To be honest nothing bad on the menu and we had most things. Beer was good too I loved the Razzle Dazzle and stout but the pilsner and hazy were also lovely. I would absolutely recommend this brewery to everyone who lives in or visits Summerland

Amazing spot to grab a little appy & drinky poo after some shopping! Me and my mom’s favourite spot in Summerland! The service is always great! We’ve loved every waitress we’ve had so far! And the food has never let us down. Their WING and CALAMARI are our favourite!! Rarely can you pay $19 for calamari and say, “Wow- that was a great deal and worth every penny!” But this is an exception! It is phenomenal. Ask for a side of their homemade ranch!! You won’t regret it.
Kyla C — Google review
Found their Raspberry Cream Ale in a private liquor store in the lower mainland (Richmond, BC) and it was one of the most delicious beers I have had in awhile and I regularly try new beer. Thank you for crafting such a unique beer! Look forward to checking out their brewery and restaurant in the future.

We had the absolute pleasure of visiting Giant’s Head Brewing after winning their annual competition, and from the moment we arrived from Vancouver, we were treated with such warmth and hospitality. Greg our main contact welcomed us with genuine kindness and made us feel right at home. His energy and attentiveness really set the tone for the day and made our whole family feel comfortable and cared for. The food selection was great, with lots of options to suit everyone including our two young kiddos. The fish and chips were spot on: crispy, fresh, and super tasty. And the mini donuts...absolutely delicious. They were a hit with all of us. We got to sample a range of their award-winning beers, and each one had its own personality, flavorful, well-balanced, and clearly crafted with care. The private brewery tour was a real highlight. Their brew master was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also clearly passionate about her craft. Listening to her talk about the brewing process and how she blends flavors was fascinating and added so much depth to the experience. To top it all off, we were gifted a VERY generous selection of sample beers from Giant’s Head and some local wineries. We brought them back to Vancouver and enjoyed every last sip—each one a reminder of the great time we had. Huge thanks to Greg and the whole team for making our visit so memorable. We’ll definitely be back to sample more beers and grub!

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. Stopped in while passing through Summerland. Ordered their special Octoberfest lunch for 2. It was amazing. Bratwurst, sauerkraut, red cabbage and potato salad. With gravy and sauce. Food was amazing. Octoberfest 22oz beer for $10 and you got to keep the stein. Love this place!

Had lunch here on the patio 3 times now & it is always good. Small beer selection, but all that we've tried have been very good. Fish & Chips are very good. Coleslaw yummy & fries are also good. Tartar sauce is home made too!👍 The Cajun Chicken sandwich was pretty awesome! Had a nice kick to it, and the foccocia bun home made too!

Dirty Laundry Vineyard in Summerland is a down-to-earth and welcoming winery with a fantastic selection of delicious wines. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent, making it a great place to visit. The winery also offers a wonderful patio where visitors can relax and enjoy food and drinks. Additionally, the wine club is worth considering for those who want to access their selections from afar, especially for Calgary residents.
This place is literally fabulous!! The patio is absolutely gorgeous, shaded, great views! The wine is delicious!!! But it is NOT Dog Friendly anymore!! Right now Google labels it dog friendly, so we drove all the way out there just to discover it is not. There is a red umbrella and bench out by the parking lot, with no view, where you can sit with your dogs and the might agree to let you drink your wine there. Make sure you have plans for a cool place for the pups.

We had an amazing time at Dirty Laundry ...the food, the wine & the atmosphere were all top notch. We enjoyed lunch with a view and had a great afternoon. Bob was a super host!!! Definitely worth the trip to Summerland!
Hyundai P — Google review
Our visit was completely lovely from the moment we entered to room. Our tasting host was pleasant, knowledgeable and engaging. She managed to host three separate tastings with ease and shared the winery story with the group of us. Her delivery was funny while informative. The winery decor cleverly plays up the dirty laundry theme.

I came up to the Okanagan with a girlfriend and she wanted to visit a winery. Out of all the wineries up here I chose Dirty Laundry for her to visit. I have brought family from Germany here, so I knew she would enjoy this one. The wine tasting was good and for only $6!!! Viktoria was very informative and super friendly, when we were looking to purchase wine she came and asked if we need helping with any of our choices. After we were done wine tasting we sat out on the patio to listen to live music and have some pizza. Oh was the pizza ever good!!! And the views and ambience on the patio were beautiful. When we left my girlfriend said to me, thank you so much for bringing me to this winery, I loved it!! So sounds like my choice of wineries to visit was perfect!

Absolutely incredible place. We arrived on our travels from Ottawa, to find out sadly that no dogs were allowed on the patio. Sherri the Manager was fantastic and found us a spot to accommodate us and Lewis our Golden Doodle. Moreover, she went above and beyond with a bottle of the Vineyards Pinot Gris - gratis. An amazing spot and great customer service Sherri and love the vineyard.

Wow, wuat a hidden gem and concept! Excellent ratings, tastings, wine, atmosphere, pizza and smokehouse. If you wine touring finish here! Smokehouse and pizza are very impressive. Staff excellent and trained, red wines are excellent. We will be back. It's a goto for Summerland wine tastings!

This is one of my favourite wineries, consistently great wine and always a welcoming atmosphere! Recently got to experience their patio and shared a bottle of wine and a pizza and honestly did not want to leave! Can’t wait to go back!!
Zaina C — Google review
This was our first time, and I'm totally coming back. The pizza was awesome, and the view from the patio was incredible. We had to wait for a table, so we did the wine tasting, and I'm so glad we did. It was fun trying new wines. I can't wait to go back.

Very nice family home style. Food, nice portions as described, supper specials like prime rib are great. Drinks above average! Staff excellent. Popular well known Summerland meals!! Great for families

We passed by Summerland and had lunch there. It’s a very small town and not many choices. The food is alright. Beef is not rough but not juicy enough. Chicken strips are good. Price is surprisingly reasonable in this environment and limited restaurants selection area.
Snoopy K — Google review
Loved the playlist, patio area and service. The food has potential but is not as great tbh. The garlic prawns were good (lacking a bit more buttery texture though). However, the chicken with orange glaze (the daily special) gave me two feels in one dish: one chicken fillet was cooked to perfection while the other one was rubbery… Overall, great spot and I will be back. Just hoping they pay more attention to the details that matter with food.
Seif K — Google review
I have no idea why everyone made a big deal about this awful restaurant. Waitress was so mean and could not be bothered to serve us and the food was over rated and tasteless. I hated everything about this place
Elsa K — Google review
The only true gem of Summerland, BC. Me and my co workers love coming to this place, the renovation of a home to a restaurant makes this place very comfortable and cozy, all the workers are easy to chat with and clearly enjoy their work and it shows in the service and food. If you come to Summerland, you definitely need to eat here. You will not lose your wallet, but you will definitely lose your hunger here. Best prices for quality I have ever seen!!

We had a wonderful experience! We ordered the seafood feast and it was really good! We topped it with a tiramisu for dessert and was perfect ! The patio is by far one of the best ones in the area!!

This place was bustling with people, and the service was quick. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and ordered the day's special, which was an excellent deal. The baklava was absolutely delightful. The ambiance is intriguing—not quite a five-star restaurant, but it’s affordable, pleasant, and has a wonderful staff.

Amazing food, the waitress was kind and helpful. food was Amazing. We sat on the patio, and it was very nice outside and felt cozy. Patio was dog friendly, and it had a bunch of beautiful decorations. Amazing. Calamari is 100% recommended

A nice neighborhood pub serving classic pub food in a classic atmosphere… All the staples are available like burgers, dips, stir fries and quesadillas…. Try their signature Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding. There’s something for everyone. They offer many choices for seating, for a couple or a group, inside or out on their huge patio! Service is excellent and the food is awesome!

I ordered the taco salad and took a few bites and the meat tasted off. I told the server and she asked if I would like something else. I said no thank you. When the bill came she charged me 50% of the price of the taco salad that I had taken only 2 bites. The server felt bad and said that’s what her manager told her to do. The server told me to talk to the manager. When I approached the manager, Miranda, she said the kitchen said the food was fine. I told Miranda it tasted off. She said too bad you still need to pay 50%. I replied saying I didn’t eat it. She argued with me saying the kitchen staff said it was fine. I told her it was poorly handled and she asked me to leave. I have never experienced anything like this before. I just want to mention the server was great.

Best beef dip we've ever had! The auj jus was perfect and the spinach dip was pretty great too! Our meals came quickly as well. Nice chill pub atmosphere, will definitely come back!

Excellent local pub! Good atmosphere! Friendly & welcoming staff. Thursday wing night (50¢) and burgers for $8. There was a short wait to be seated as the place was really busy for wings and burger specials. I had the house red wine which was lovely. Salt and pepper wings were excellent. Tacos were nicely seasoned. No minors allowed.

We had a good dinner with our family in the family room and our server Ashely was excellent. However, the night ended on a bad note with one of the waitresses (short blonde hair with shaved sides glasses and tattoos) when she took it upon herself to raise her voice and place her hands on our 3 year old granddaughter who was circling our table playing with her uncle. It was harmless and the other patrons were smiling and laughing. This woman was abrupt and scary. The table next to us sad they were there the week before and the same lady yelled at their child who wasn’t doing anything wrong. This lady needs some manners or maybe get a job at the Angry Otter next door!

The cafe is renowned for its hearty breakfasts featuring traditional favorites, eggs benedict, and omelettes. For lunch, patrons can indulge in an array of options including soup, salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips as well as pasta and pizza.
We loved the selection and quality from the daily menu, and were less thrilled about the Sunday Buffet... but it was still all good, and I got to go back (a lot!) We loved the compote - obviously made by themselves!

Delicious. Blackstone Eggs Benny. Eggs were a little past what I asked for, but the Hollandaise was so good as well as the Bacon, so it made up for it. Reasonably priced. Good service. Could use some updating and a bit of a clean but cute, quaint place to stop for a great breakfast.
Hayls — Google review
The service was absolutely terrible. We sat down at a table and the waitress acknowledged us. Over a period of approximately 20 min an additional four families came in and were given their menus and drink orders taken. Still no service, we finally left. Were we the wrong color for service?! Shameful! I don’t recommend.

One of my favourite little cozy nooks to bring people to for breakfast/lunch while cruising through the Okanagan. I adore the feel of the dining space, truly living up to it's name as a second home. Delightful.

Lovely little old school diner with a nice breakfast spread. Pictured here are the Breakfast wrap and the The Bowl, minus chorizo. Our server, who immediately recognized us as fellow vegetarians, gave thoughtful suggestions to make minor modifications. Our breakfast was awesome because of it. Sorry we didn't catch your name! Left super full and nostalgic. Thanks for a great breakfast!

Not as good as it used to be ! Last couple of times the lasagne was ho hum, and the garlic toast only toasted on one side. Our waitress didn't check back at our table till the end of the meal. Definitely not worth the money - won't go back.

The breakfast here is amazing. I stopped here with my cycling group for a quick brunch and we were all blown away. The Second Home Restaurant is a casual, small town place where you can go to expect some delicious comfort food at a reasonable price. I'm a big fan of waffles and these ones are delicious. They're not the fanciest, but they taste home made and delicious. And for $9, I was impressed with the amount I received. The French toast that others in my group looked delicious too and is something to consider as well. The restaurant is located in the upper part of Summerland just off of the highway. It's a great little spot to stop at for a home cooked breakfast and I know I'll be back. The patio outside would be nice when the weather is a bit better.

We go to the Cowichan Bay location and really enjoy the products and decided to try this location. The Summerland location is just as good and they carry basically the same product line. We were very happy with the service and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the store. The cookies that True Grain have are probably the best that I have experienced from any bakery.

I visited the bakehouse during my short trip to Kelowna. I was there to get Emmer flour but ended up getting pastas and crackers along. Loved the excellent quality and variety they offer for flours, pastas and baked goods. Staff is super friendly!

My husband and I went in to buy some treats and the woman who served us was not very helpful when we asked questions. Then when we went to pay we only had credit card on us and she snapped at us. Cash only she yelled and pointed to a small paper by the cash register. We were taken back and said well sorry we only have credit on us. We turned to leave then she snapped at us, well I’ll make an exception this time. Wow. We will not return after that experience. Not to mention the Eccles cake was burnt on the bottom and the items were overpriced.

Theo’s Restaurant

Greek restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Theo’s Restaurant is a spacious and welcoming establishment that serves a diverse selection of top-quality Greek cuisine, seafood, and wines. Since its inception in 1976, the restaurant has prioritized using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes. The menu boasts an extensive array of traditional Greek favorites as well as specialties infused with Okanagan influences.
Had a great dinner at Theo’s in Penticton. We went with the calamari dinner and the classic: chicken souvlaki. Both were spot on. The chicken was perfectly seasoned (flavourful without being overpowering) and grilled to juicy, tender perfection. The calamari might have been my favourite: crispy with a nice spice blend, not rubbery, and not greasy — which, to me, makes all the difference. Portions are generous, so we didn’t even have room for dessert 🥲. I paired it with a glass of their premium merlot, which was absolutely fantastic and worth the price. The restaurant itself has such an authentic atmosphere: beautiful space that’s been decorated with lots of attention to detail, Greek music in the background, a warm and inviting feel, and staff who were friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. No rushed service or push for tips, just a relaxed vibe that really sets the tone. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Penticton!

You HAVE TO stop by this place if you’re in Penticton! Best Greek restaurant in town! We ordered the Lamb Shoulder Oregano and the Rabit (Lagos Stifado) It was a memorable experience and tasted so good! Must’ve been the best thing on the menu because it was 10/10 We had great service from our server Darwin. Great martinis from Vanelle! I especially liked the espresso martini 🍸 And Greg, the owner was such an amazing down-to-earth guy! All three of you were so amazing and welcoming. Thank you for the hospitality in your restaurant
Allen C — Google review
I just ordered this while on vacation and while it isn’t the worst Greek food I’ve had, It’s pretty far down on the list for quality and pricing. For 2 people to eat 1 houmous bread plate appy and 2 meals for takeout it was $95. The homous comes with only 1 pita and they charge $14 then for 2 extra pita it’s $5.95 so you’re paying $20 for homous and bread. The amount of homous is good but with 1 pita for all that homous you’re basically forced to get the extra bread. The chicken souvlaki and ribs were really bland, very basic herb seasoning. My wife has allergies so she wasn’t able to have carrots and rice because they’re pre-buttered prior to serving so we asked for a salad instead and were told there would be a small up charge, but $5.25 to add on a salad when we took out 2/3 of the other available sides is a bit ridiculous. For the price of the chicken souvlaki ($29) and ribs ($36) the amount of food is pretty bad compared to a lot of other Greek places I’ve eaten at. Pretty disappointing experience overall.
Kevin N — Google review
Ordered the Calamari steak moussaka and hummus platter and cocktails. The calimari was salty and greasy, the owner is correct we should have advised someone of our complaints but honestly we were starving and didn't want to wait. The steak was seasoned well and cooked to request. The moussaka was good.
Tina J — Google review
The food and drinks were good, I didn’t get any pictures but we all had the lamb orzo special and it was delicious. Only complaint was that the chairs are hard to maneuver as they are heavy and don’t fit into the tables well and when they bring in the belly dancers and loud music it kind of throws off the vibes a little bit. Overall nice place.
Ashley W — Google review
It had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, the food was of good quality, and the servers were extremely polite. And if you enjoy seafood combined with pasta, you should definitely try the Seafood Fettuccine.
Sahar F — Google review
We recently went to Theo’s to celebrate a birthday for a good friend. Reservations were made for 5:30 for 7 and when we arrived they could not find it. Fortunately it was early enough that a table was available until 8 pm we were told. It has been awhile since we dined at Theo’s and were very disappointed.. Our meals were so so. Three friends ordered Lamb Souvlaki which was placed on a huge mound of rice, two haves of a potato and sliced carrots. The Lamb was overcooked and tough. Calamari was okay. There was no Greek salad, pita bread and the presentation was blah. All the meals arrive warm.I have recently been to two different Greek restaurants in the Vancouver area and my dinner always included a Greek salad and pita bread as well as rice and potato. Those meals were presented well with reasonable portions and very tasty for a similar price. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I've traveled a lot and went to many restaurants but few can match this place. The portions were great and the taste was phenomenal. The dine in is a bit small (seats about 15) but very cozy. They went all out with the decoration. I ordered a mix chicken and lamb wrap as well as a lentil soup for lunch and both tasted great but the lentil soup is a bit spicy so be prepared for that if you order it.

Authentic turkish family run, cozy restaurant. If you didn't try Turkish coffee, definitely worth to try. The portions are great for sharing, as you cannot finish by yourself if you are not super hungry. Will come back when next time visit Okanagan.

We stepped from the streets of Summerland into a Turkish restaurant somewhere in Istanbul! This place is so welcoming, the owner, who also cooks the food, was super friendly and prepared an amazing authentic Turkish dish for us both. Such rich and exotic flavours we have not experienced before outside of the Mediterranean. So much food in fact we had to take some away with us and enjoy it for lunch next day. Food here was amazing, the margarita cove was really good. Came here during happy hour, very accommodating to our dog with a pet friendly patio. We ordered a second beer, but it didn’t come in time we almost finished our food, so we ended cancelling with our server, but 5 mins later the bartender came and served us the beer. The server was really kind to take it off the bill for us.

Went on June 3rd (Tuesday) around 5:30. Was at SC prior to this visit on a company trip with a better experience but still not 100%. This time around my partner and I booked a reservation about 30 mins prior to arriving. We were met with a long line almost out the door that we had to wait it (I think they also had reservations) so it took about 20 mins to be seated which isn't the worst. We were sat just inside the restaurant looking out towards the water, very beautiful place. Now we've ordered a clam chowder, steak and potatoes, and a burger which was on special for 10 dollars. The chowder came within a few minutes and was pretty good, but standard, after we finished that it took about 45 minutes before we got our dishes as well as spoke to our waiter who not once came and checked up on us. Yes it was busy, but we saw him go table to table around us several times. My steak was good and the sauce was what stole the show, potatoes and greens were cooked really well too. My partner's burger was maybe room temp and came with red onions which we asked to be excluded when we ordered. Could have gotten better at a chain. When it came time to pay the bill, our server did take 20% off for the mistake which was nice, so thank you. Would I go again... maybe. Good atmosphere and some tasty dishes. I would hate to see how slow it is on a weekend, maybe we just came on an off day.

Went there for dinner with my husband, step daughter and grandson ….the restaurant is better than I thought. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl w/ Garlic Shrimp and it was delicious! It’s different from the ones you'll have somewhere else. There are many such restaurants, but this place is the obvious winner. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well and the customer service is outstanding! Highly recommended 🙂

My brother gave us a gift card to check out this waterfront restaurant in Summerland. We made a date night of it while we were vacationing in Penticton, just a 20 min drive away. We made reservations and I'm really glad we did, it was very busy and we noticed later that there was a line and a wait to get in. There is a beautiful boardwalk and dock just in front of the restaurant. We went on a nice walk before dinner as we were a bit early. At our reservation time we were seated right away in a relatively quiet booth as requested. So bonus points earned here. The restaurant was pretty loud but our corner was not too bad. Our server was friendly, but we only ended up seeing her every 20-30 mins. I ordered a fantastic wine, which I have since gone out and bought, and my husband also ordered a great wine. Our appetizer was the sunset shrimp, which I was a bit hesitant to order at first. But OMG it was absolutely delicious! If you come for nothing else order this, it's tempura shrimp over a bed of picked vegetables and has an awesome spicy creamy sauce drizzled on top. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken. This was epic as it is made with FRESH and I mean fresh pasta, and the chicken was super moist! Probably one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a very long time. Hubs ordered the ribs which he said were ok, but a bit dry, his highlight was the fries. He thought they were fried in tallow, super crisp and flavourful. We ordered a dessert to share which was a bit disappointing. A turtle cheesecake, which was supposed to have candied pecans, nope just walnuts. Supposed to have caramel and chocolate drizzle, no where to be found. And it was coated in a lot of raw cinnamon, not even mentioned on the menu. And it was the tiniest slice I have ever been served at any restaurant anywhere, and it was $12. All in all a very pleasant evening, with mostly highs, I would still recommend this place as most of the food and especially the wine were wonderful.

It makes me sad sharing this review. I have lived in the Okanagan for just over three years now and Shaunessy’s Cove has been one of my favorite spots. The view, the service, food and beverage selection was all fantastic….that is until tonight. :( I was excited to bring a friend from Alberta for the whole experience and we were so disappointed. Well, the view is still spectacular and the service we received from Andrew was exceptional! Sadly, the cocktail and wine selection was skeletal (and we live in wine country, so not sure why there was only four mediocre options for white and red wines, and only one rose), they said they would make a pina colada but brought a drink that was nothing close to that and tried to tell us that it was their version of it…even though we asked for a traditional one and was told we would get that. And the food was the worse part…we ordered four appies to share; Crispy Yam Fries, Sticky Chicken, Oshi Sushi and Sunset Shrimp. Omg…idk where to start. Not one was good. Yam fries were soggy (although they fixed that), both chicken and shrimp were waaaay overcooked. We couldn’t even tell which was chicken at first. And the shrimp plate is strange. It’s plated on top of shredded lettuce that was quickly soggy under deep fried shrimp and had diced pickled carrots through out. The flavours did not go together at all. And the sushi could have been decent but the salmon piece was paper thin with an unproportional amount of rice. When I cut off more than half the rice, it was not bad. I am so sad to say that I will not be recommending Shaunessy’s Cove as I have many times, and I don’t think I’ll be going back until significant changes are made. :’( But…just to reiterate, Andrew was amazing! He not only provided fabulous service, he really stepped up and advocated for us. They are lucky to have him! Thank you, Andrew!

It's unbelievable how quick your food will come out while there's a full house going on. Thank you and your staff once again for making it such a pleasurable experience amazing experience from Toby

Visited the restaurant recently for the first time. We were seated outside, given several options of sun and shade etc. We sat at a table for two overlooking a breathtaking view of the lake. The menu offered a variety of appy options and we settled on the crispy cauliflower to share. It was perfectly prepared, crispy light batter with a smattering of curry flavour, the cauliflower tender and fresh. For our mains we chose the smash burgers ( a first for us both). Absolutely delicious, chef's kiss for a balanced blend of flavours and textures! Our server was JENNA and she was amazing! Friendly, fun, and thorough in asking the right questions to make sure we got what we wanted! :)) The vibe of the entire staff was welcoming and upbeat and it couldn't have been a more enjoyable experience. Thanks to everyone for a great afternoon! Michele ( and Bruce) Morris

Murray's Pizza & Pasta

$$$$affordable
Pizza restaurant
During a recent visit to Summerland for the May long weekend, I couldn't resist revisiting Murray's Pizza & Pasta, a nostalgic favorite from my childhood. This charming pizza shop continues to impress with its consistently high-quality offerings that have remained unchanged for over 15 years. Everything is made fresh on-site, from daily-cut vegetables to expertly prepared dough.
My last review about Murray's summerland got over 12,000 views. Got a classic Hawaiian and a double pepperoni tonight. Delicious as usual. Hit all the right spots. Thanks again!

A turly amazing pizza shop. Everything is made fresh in store. Vegetables cut fresh daily, prep done fresh in store. Seriously an epic place to get pizza. We've been a customer at a different pizza place for years, but as of yesterday, we've switched to Murray's.... Owner might be my new best friend... 👌 we will see. 😆

Their gluten free crust is so good and has a nice crunch to it. The double pepperoni pizza was stacked with cheese and pepperoni! I can see why this pizza is a little pricier, they load on the good quality toppings. Would definitely order again.

I went there for lunch today. I am Lactose intolerant and they said they had a new lactose free cheese. Melts like regular cheese they said. They were absolutely bang on. Best pizza I've had in a very long time. Staff were very accommodating.

The food is great, if I be honest it is probably the best pizza I've had in my entire life! The service was extremely nice, and even let me in to place an order before they opened. Nice little pizza place that is one of my favorites now!🤩

I always go when it isn't busy and I don't know why I keep going back. I figured I would give him one more chance to actually make an order right for once. Unfortunately our order has been wrong the last four times, so we will take our business elsewhere. Just a word of advice, read your own writing. I saw him write the order down correct but that's where it stops. And we couldn't even taste the pizza sauce.

Came to Summerland for the May long weekend and remembered Murrays pizza from having it up here when I was a kid, had to make sure to grab a Za, did not dissapoint! Easily the best pizza around. Friendly greeting and happy to know no ownership changes througout the years! Same great quality pizza as 15+ years ago!

Yaki's Pizza & Subs

$$$$affordable
Pizza restaurant
Yaki's Pizza & Subs is known for its friendly and hospitable staff. The interior seating may be limited, but it's not entirely clear. The food at Yaki's is tasty with generous portions and well-balanced ratios. However, there have been concerns about the lack of labeling on pick-up orders, making it confusing to distinguish between similar-looking subs. Both the Pizza Sub and First Sub are satisfying options, although some find the latter lacking in flavor.
We were camping near Summerland and didn’t expect much from such a small town — but this pizza place completely surprised us! The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and way better than we imagined. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and a perfect stop after a long day outdoors. Highly recommend if you’re in the area! *Chicken Pesto Pizza*

Ordered over $100 of food. The $14 nachos were without meat and I asked for extra jalapeños but was told no and then I asked again. They wanted to charge an extra topping for a few more jalapeños (even when the meat topping was removed). The nachos are soggy as they were covered in salsa while baking (salsa should be on the side). The cheese pizza was very over cooked and kids wouldn't eat it. Service was terrible. Not a great experience overall and will not return.

It's nice to grab a quick bite. They only have a few bench seats but you can always take out and go to the park close by to enjoy your meal - just a minute walk to the park. I saw them freshly slice their meat for pizza and subs.

I love this place. I am not from around here, but every time I'm in Summerland this is a must stop place for me. The pulled pork sandwich is great not to mention pretty much everything on the menu. People here have mentioned the yakistix which are among the best bread sticks of any pizzeria I have been to. They have a much more extensive menu than most places and the prices are excellent for the quality. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean and bright.

I got the meat lovers pizza. It was absolutely loaded with delicious meats. Every bite was pure meaty, cheesy, heavenly bliss. What a time. I’ll think about this pizza for some time.

The staff were very kind and welcoming! It didn’t seem to have much seating inside, but it was a bit unclear. The food was good, nice portions and ratios; however, when we got a pick up order they didn’t label the foods so it was a bit confusing because the subs look the same. I tried the Pizza Sub and the First Sub, they were both good but the First Sub was lacking in flavour. The greek salad was flavourful, but the garlic bread was a bit too salty. Overall a nice place for a decent sub. 7.5/10

Why people bother with chain sandwich shops anymore boggles my mind. Places like this are rare and should be the only option for sandwiches. I had a yakis sub, which I found delicious and fair priced (in this economy anyway). What I enjoyed more was the fun interaction I had with the staff. Both of them were young but casual and fun while staying professional. Made it feel more like a place you knew already when you haven’t been before. It also makes me glad to see the local youth being employed in these establishments. This isn’t a sit down restaurant though. This is a grab and go somewhere.

The best pizza and subs in BC!! If you can find a better place let me know because I haven't found a better one! I'm from the coast and Yaki's is a destination pizza place for us, when in the area we stop in!

Kelowna International Airport

Airport
International airport
Kelowna International Airport is a small airport located in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, offering easy access to the region's breathtaking scenery, beaches, wineries, and golf courses. It can be reached by flying internationally or domestically and is also accessible by various highways. The area provides opportunities for activities such as U-Pick farms where visitors can harvest their own produce and enjoy family-friendly escapades. Additionally, the airport features a glass rotunda with artwork and a business center.
Kelowna Airport is excellent! The airport is clean, well-organized, and very safe. The washrooms are spotless, which makes traveling much more comfortable. The staff are friendly, helpful, and make the whole experience smooth and welcoming. Flying with WestJet was great — on-time and comfortable. I also rented a car from Enterprise Rentals at Kelowna Airport, and their service was top-notch with clean, well-maintained cars and a professional team. Overall, a seamless and enjoyable travel experience from start to finish!

Great little airport, you hardly have to wait at all and it has everything you need. Everyone is helpful and fast and it's international so you can get a lot of direct flights.
Architype — Google review
Great areas in this airport but the post security area is getting too crowded and gets very warm. White Spot restaurant in the security area looks quite nice. As with many regional airports in BC, and likely most of Canada, the community has outgrown the facilities.

Wow, what a terrible change for rental car pick up. Might as well make us walk across highway 97. Minimal signage directing to the appropriate lot. Walked through the regular parking lot to be met by a fence. Rethink this one team.

The water refiller near subway and white spot is a JOKE. 2 minutes. 2 minutes to fill the bottle. Outrageous. My own FATHER had difficulties with this "machine". The taste is mediocre as well.

Kelowna airport is a comfortable size for someone like myself who is a senior. But OMG! Do somethimg about your security for outbound flights! It took us over 40 mins to get through at 1.10 in the afternoon!! I can get through Edmonton's security in a quarter of that time! In fact the security time out of Edmonton to Kelowna took all of 5 mins! At Kelowna airport there was one lane open and the line up was back into the seating area! It seemed that the security people were oblivious and didn't care. And why did they periodically take people out of the line and let them through? I've flown out of Kelowna a few times and every time it is backed up. I hope all this money they are spending on the airport includes improvements to the security area. It is badly needed or maybe a change of staff who are interested in making the traveller's experierence more enjoyable.

I think they are building a new terminal at least it seems and it’s long overdue. The current terminal is extremely crowded and stuffy and very hot as well inside. Unpleasant to wait there for flight.
Y B — Google review
For such a busy airport, was disappointed with lack of charging outlets and filtered water stations as well as food options and restaurants. I'm not expecting full scale food courts like at YVR but c'mon, Timmy's just doesn't cut it. At least it's easier to get in and out compared to bigger airports.
