Straw Hat Restaurant

Restaurant
Located within the Frangipani Beach Resort on the picturesque Meads Bay, Straw Hat restaurant has been a beloved dining destination since 1996. Recognized for its delectable cuisine and inviting ambiance, it offers three meals daily on an open-air terrace right by the beach. Guests can indulge in a variety of activities such as tennis, basketball, water sports, spa treatments featuring Yuni products, and even private excursions to Prickley Pear island on the hotel's boat.
The food was absolutely amazing! I went for breakfast and dinner and both were great. The drinks were amazing as well! A lot of options and they are pretty strong!! As far as the service.. it was top tier! Rosie was sooooo sweet. She made the experience that much better. You can tell she is a hard worker and really takes care of her guests!! I totally recommend this place and definitely ask for Rosie!! We went twice while here both on Wednesday nights and there was live music which I loved. Also if you sit in front of their restaurant in the beach chairs (free) and along the beach down to turtles nest, someone will come out with their food & drink menu and serve you right from the beach. Omar served us from the beach and he was also outstanding! Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back.

We went to Anguilla for the day and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! Of course, you have to get past customs and get your passport stamped!!! Our taxi driver took us the Straw Hat. It was recommended to us, so we went to see what it was about. First, our timing was perfect. It was still early in the day and there were not alot of patrons yet. We sat outside and outside was a patio that overlooked the white sands and beach! The view was awesome and it was so peaceful!!!! Our server was great and the food was 10/10!! We had red snapper (common theme for our meals), beans and rice, veggies, jerk chicken and tuna! When in Anguilla, definitely eat here!
Chanda B — Google review
Talk about breakfast/dinner with a view!!! Beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach and Mead’s Bay. Very quiet and peaceful listening to the water hit the shore. Probably the most peaceful breakfast and dinner spot. Staff very helpful and friendly, food fresh and nicely prepared. By far the best breakfast on the island! They offer chairs and umbrellas to their dining and bar guests.
Candace L — Google review
We arrived via taxi late at 7:30 after sunset and had no wait. You could likely walk from your hotel along Meads Bay, but sand is soft and you will need a phone or flashlight. Recommend taking a taxi. Food was excellent and arrived promptly. Would definitely recommend it.
David W — Google review
The best service! The BESTT PANCAKES!! And the eggs!!!!! I think the eggs were fresh off the farm that day!!!! Lets also mention the best views! I wish I could remember our servers names! It was two of them and they were amazing!!!!!!
Nia — Google review
we headed back to Meads for dinner at the Straw Hat. We started with the Tuna flatbread, which has been my favorite thing we have had to eat so far. They brought us some warm bread in a straw hat, which was a cool touch. The bread was sweet, and very good. For dinner my wife had the seafood pasta, which was loaded with fish and shrimp and extremely rich. I had the simple grill mahi mahi with coconut rice, Asian salad, and a ginger vinaigrette. We then had the coffee ice cream pie for dessert. It was a great place to sit and watch the July 4th fireworks from the Four Seasons.
Scott K — Google review
Literally the perfect lunch, such fresh fish, unbelievably beautiful view, all seamlessly combined with service at the complimentary beach chairs. My wife scraped her knee, they scrambled and found a bandage. Just all around some of the best, most genuinely friendly service we’ve ever had.
Jesse L — Google review
We came back after 10 years and it was just as good as we remembered it. Awesome and delicious! An amazing seating on the beach and a 10 minute walk from the four seasons along the beach. Great kids menu too! The tuna, crayfish and the salad were exceptional! And big portions so come hungry. And don’t forget to order the tuna tart and the ice cream sandwich!

Veya Restaurant

Mentioned on
+11 other lists
$$$$expensive
Restaurant
Veya Restaurant, located in Sandy Ground, is a unique hillside tree house eatery offering a pricy five-course tasting menu. If that's not within your budget, you can still enjoy freshly baked Johnny cakes and jerk chicken at the shaded downstairs cafe. Chef Carrie Bogar shares her story of moving from Pennsylvania to this remote island to create a small restaurant with big-city clientele. Sourcing local produce can be challenging but adds to the authenticity of the cuisine.
Veya Restaurant above Sandy Ground. Another team oriented service configuration very well executed in a charming two story villa and planted grounds including a koi pond and Omari Banks playing outside down below in Meze, their small plates bar. The two-top we were sat at was touching a thick opened door - slightly uncomfortable starting situation increased by the ubiquitous plastic itchy placemats and too-dim lighting to read the menu. Glass of rosé and a slightly too sweet Veya sparkler to start greeted the bread plate with a fresh hot Johnny cake, soft butter and banana and pumpkin breads that were gone too soon with no offer to replenish. Lobster fritters made me forget all about the concept of conch! Very good... brightly flavored batter (slightly wet, not enough cornmeal, and missing cakiness) let individual elements of fresh ginger, bell peppers and the delicious lobster come through and the sriracha aioli was a perfect sauce. Charred-grilled furikake broccoli with abundant slightly sweet furikake had been par boiled so was perfect texture and again had a yuzu aioli... very good! Then choose a glass of albariño and a Malbec. Butter poached lobster dish was exceptionally conceived with perfectly cooked spinach risotto and crispy shaved parsnip chips - yum!!! Moelleux with almond ice cream was disappointing to me, though my companion enjoyed it. Lava cake, even under practiced and controlled conditions, is a gamble at best, and all too often either unoozing/set, or too-runny, as I felt this one was. The very hot surface all but melted the ice cream into just almond cream. We had a glass of Warres LBV to accompany and then made our way out into the night. Significantly more creative combinations than what is seen on much of Anguilla that are all very well executed (and again very fast firing between courses -- not easy to accomplish reliably anywhere) and with attentive staff each performing their times made this last-night pricey treat very well worth it. Would absolutely return to try everything on the menu, though without the scratchy placemats.
Samsunshine L — Google review
A truly exceptional and extremely high caliber restaurant. Absolutely incredible from start to finish. As somebody who’s dined in 1-3 Michelin star restaurants all over the world, I was blown away. We ordered half the menu because everything looked so good and we couldn’t decide. Intricate and delicious flavors, perfect cooked and prepared dishes, and truly impeccable service. Excellent wine menu to boot. Veya is the best fine-dining establishment on the island. I cannot look forward to my return trip soon enough.
Ethan A — Google review
Veya is truly NEVER bad. We’ve been here countless times over the years and it is just as good every time. Very consistent flavors and combinations you wouldn’t think would be amazing together but are!! The chef is an artist really. The best staff and atmosphere as well. Music in the lower level some days in the week too. Definitely make a reservation prior. Favorite dishes: beet salad appetizer, the duck entree, broccoli appetizer, octopus appetizer, the lamb entree
Kelsey W — Google review
We hit all of the top rated restaurants in Anguilla and this was our favorite. The tree house is very unique and creates the perfect setting. Our waitress was phenomenal and the food was out of this world! Can't wait to go back.
Nick D — Google review
We’ve had some great meals on the island but this one stands alone. 10/10 no notes. Lobster in passion fruit mustard sauce was unbelievable. Should be on every list for Anguilla restaurants to try
Jeffrey M — Google review
We should’ve left when we saw a massive cockroach crawling on the wall next to the kitchen, but we felt bad and stayed because we already ordered. Staying was a mistake. My husband’s octopus was mushy and bland. My $48 lobster risotto came with 3 small pieces of lobster and oily, mushy, flavorless rice. It was not risotto. Our server offered us dessert to make up for it, but we didn’t want to eat more food from them. We accepted a glass of wine and asked if they could remove some of the charge. The manager begrudgingly offered us 5% off and then our server’s attitude quickly changed from moderately kind to passive aggressive. Would not recommend due to cleanliness, food quality, and service.
Abeje B — Google review
It’s frustrating when servers seem to pick and choose who they treat nicely. When you go out to eat you expect everyone to be treated fairly no matter who you are. Veya has an amazing food! Please train or observe your servers
Jan A — Google review
What an amazing meal. Tamika's service was exceptional and the food is very very good. The fish soup was something else, one of the best soups we ever had. Grilled lobster was perfectly cooked and that sauce is so good. Highly recommend Veya!

Restaurant
Blanchards Restaurant and Beach Shack is a renowned dining spot in Anguilla, known for its island specialties like jerk chicken and roasted lobster. The restaurant also offers the opportunity to purchase the owners' book, 'A Trip to the Beach.' In addition to Blanchards, there are other beachfront restaurants like Jacala that serve seafood and pasta dishes. Blanchards Beach Shack, which opened in 2011 on Meads Bay Beach, provides affordable yet delicious food options such as lobster rolls.
Such an amazing restaurant, by far my favorite in Anguilla! Food is amazing, we ate there multiple times for lunch and dinner. Everything was fresh and made perfectly. I loved the unique taste with the robust flavors, perfectly placed garnish and great care in presentation of each plate. Highly recommend you make a reservation for dinner due to it being a favorite and always a bit of a crowd. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It’s bright and cheerful and just brightened my mood, it screams elegant beach restaurant! You can walk out and take the most amazing photos of the sunset. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to be back in Anguilla to try more of their exquisite dishes! There is plenty of parking, lot fills up but there is additional parking across the street and next door.
Candace L — Google review
Came here for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation so we ended up on the outdoor patio. Our server was quite friendly and engaging. I ordered a rum flight which was a good price and generous servings. To start we had the whipped ricotta. For entrees, the sea bass, pork shank, and the dates and green beans. All the food was pretty tasty. My fish was a bit overcooked but had good flavor. For dessert we shared the bread pudding and carrot cake. Overall a good meal!
Alexandra K — Google review
We returned here for a 10th anniversary and it was beyond delicious. As seen from the photo we got a personalized menu for our anniversary, which was a really nice touch. The only disappointment was that we didn’t have time to make it to the Blanchard at beach shack for lunch.
Darrell R — Google review
Blanchards is a lovely restaurant with a calm, welcoming atmosphere and a beautiful beach view. The food was decent—I had the wings, which were a bit overcooked. They came with a blue cheese dressing that didn’t quite complement the wings, though the dressing itself was actually really good (my sister even went back for more, she liked it so much). The drinks were just okay. I had a frozen drink that didn’t really stand out to me. I’d definitely go back, but next time I’d probably try something different or ask for a recommendation instead of sticking with what I ordered.
Anxious C — Google review
THE BEST! My wife and I have traveled to several continents and Blanchard’s always remains #1! The food, service, and setting is picture perfect and never disappoints. We went to Blanchard’s for our second time yesterday and it was just as good as the first. Unfortunately we made the mistake to go to Sharky’s tonight and not go back to Blanchard’s a third time. Don’t waste your time anywhere else, this is the best food and service in Anguilla by a mile!
Grant G — Google review
We spent the last night of our 20th anniversary vacation with Blanchard's Restaurant, and it was the absolute best bookend to our trip. Everything was amazing. A cornerstone of Anguilla and definitely recommend.
David W — Google review
Perfect 10! Salmon was buttery, martini at just the right temperature and the service felt like family. Wish I had room for dessert.

Jacala Beach Restaurant

Restaurant
Jacala Beach Restaurant is an intimate and sophisticated dining spot that accommodates only 35 lucky diners at a time. The Moroccan-inspired dining room offers sweeping views of Meads Bay, creating a peaceful atmosphere for enjoying refined French cuisine by acclaimed chef Alain Laurent. A-listers frequent this fine dining delight, so booking well in advance is essential. With an all-white open-air setting overlooking the sand and sea, Jacala serves artfully plated seafood dishes alongside warm ambiance.
Went here on our last night and it was the perfect last meal on the island. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The overall atmosphere in the restaurant is also very nice and quiet, despite being quite full when we visited. Overall an amazing dining option.
Alex K — Google review
Very delicious meal my family of four had when visiting Anguilla. I had the crayfish. I am not a big seafood eater but this was melt in your mouth good. Very similar to Boston lobster!
Neil H — Google review
We returned after 10 years and was just as good if not better the last time we were there what a nice chill beautiful dinner. Everything was great from the tuna tartare to the pork and the lobster tail and as our kids said, it was the best ice cream they have ever had.
Darrell R — Google review
This was our favorite restaurant during our entire 6 night stay in Anguilla. Everything was amazing! The lobster risotto and the crayfish are MUST-HAVES. The service is great, and so is the ambiance. The lobster risotto is seriously one of my favorite meals I've ever had. YOU NEED to eat here while you're in Anguilla. It will not disappoint. I have no idea why it only has 4.3 stars, it definitely deserves 5.
Jillian J — Google review
What happened to my taste buds . That Mahi Mahi in that sauce without a hint of spice. Oh yes. Then the dessert options retry a little of everything was just what I needed. Wait, did I forget to tell you about the coconut rice. Have not decided which was better the service or the food.
Maureen W — Google review
The food was excellent and I would easily give five stars if the bottle of rosé had the right temperature. It came to the table warm (almost hot) and although the waitresses were very friendly and efficient bringing ice to the bucket several times to cool it down, it didn’t help. We had to put ice cubes inside our glasses in order to be able to drink the wine. The wine only hit the desired temperature when we were eating our desserts. Other than that, everything was perfect.
C T — Google review
Just enjoyed a delightful lunch at Jacala Restaurant in Anguilla! The food and ambiance were simply fantastic. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
Robin — Google review
Fantastic dinner at Jacala! Lobster was delicious in risotto AND sautéed on roasted tomatoes. The restaurant does offer wine corkage at $50 per bottle. Filet mignon was superb as well. Although not on the dinner menu, you can order a Caesar salad for your appetizer.

Mango's Seaside Grill

Mentioned on

Caribbean restaurant
Mango's Seaside Grill is a charming restaurant located on the stunning Barnes Bay, offering breathtaking views of the azure sea. The establishment prides itself on serving top-quality, fresh seafood such as fish, lobster, and Prince Edward mussels. Popular dishes include sesame snapper, spicy whole snapper, and five-pepper-crusted steak with green peppercorn sauce. The ambiance at Mango's is relaxed and casual with an open-air setting that provides a romantic atmosphere during evening hours.
Really enjoyed mango's. Right on the beach, authentic anguillan road to get there (eg bumpy). Andrea (server) fun and helpful. Conch chiwder tasty. Go for the fish specials. Grilled red snapper was fantastic. Sesame red snapper also good. Homemade desserts also very much worth it. Go here!
Steve B — Google review
Easily one of our best meals in Anguilla, this beach-front restaurant does not disappoint. The food was top-notch across the board, but especially recommend the conch chowder, grilled lobster, spicy sea bass, and cheese cake (it’s super light and fluffy!). The wait staff was amazing - our waitress, Andrea, was the absolute best!! The owners are super sweet and the setting is unbeatable - prime beach front.
Alexandra T — Google review
One word - incredible! Just a short walk down Barnes Bay beach from the Four Seasons. We came here as recommended by many on the island. We had a wonderful conversation with the owner, Kim, and were even more delighted with how good the food and drinks were. A must go if you are on the island!
Alyssa L — Google review
We went to Mangos the last night of our vacation and it didn’t disappoint. The service was top notch to go with the excellent food. The owners were on site and shared their experience and time on the island. This would be a great place to catch a sunset. We just missed it.
Neil H — Google review
This was our second meal at Mango’s, our first being in 2023. The owner, Kim, is such a wonderful host and the pride she takes in her establishment is clear. I wish I remembered our server’s name this evening because he was the best one we have had during our visit. He helped my husband get into his delicious lobster and showed him where the roe was. He was so funny and helpful and had memorized the specials flawlessly (and there were several with an extensive list of sides). We were blown away by the service here! It made all others we had on our trip pale although we had many fine experiences! Of course the food was delicious, everything was cooked to perfection down to the perfectly crisp-tender carrots. It may seem silly for me to mention the carrots, but if a restaurant is cooking their vegetables to perfection you can guarantee everything else is going to have flawless attention to detail. I had Triggerfish which had a perfectly balanced and seasoned sauce and came with a delicious rice as a side. The seasoning on the lobster is to die for though, if you want lobster on Anguilla this is my favorite on the island. Hope to see you next year!
Bev — Google review
Mango’s is a must on the island. I had the brazero lobster and wife had fresh grilled mahi mahi. The conch chowder and lobster cake were delicious starters! Great wine and mango martinis.
J.C. H — Google review
Our favorite meal on the island this year! A lovely restaurant on the ocean’s edge, waves lapping at the sand. It’s a little off the beaten path but, so special. The food is superb and the service top notch. We enjoyed the red snapper and mahi mahi and ended with the delicious key lime pie. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant! 🩵
Mary M — Google review
Open for dinner only. It's directly on the beach at Barnes Bay on the SW side of the island. Enjoy fine dining with a great selection and excellent food. Reservation is recommended if during the busy season. The road down to the resaurant is a little bumpy, but completely manageable. Owners are great!

Dolce Vita in Sandy Ground offers a taste of Italy with its delectable pastas and fresh seafood, all enjoyed in a romantic beachfront setting. The restaurant is known for its classic Italian dishes like gnocchi and lasagne, as well as seafood options such as lobster linguini and fried snapper. With an elegant ambiance and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, Dolce Vita provides a perfect setting for a romantic seaside dinner.
The food was amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. We went at night but I'm sure the view is amazing, as it's set right on the beach
Alex K — Google review
My first visit to Anguilla and that means my first time eating at Dolce Vita but will not be my last. The service is amazing and the food is great. I had the seafood pasta 1/2 order and my friend had Shrimp with Linguine both had red sauce and wow. The meatballs as a starter was a great call. Nice wine 🍷 selection and truly enjoyed the evening. Thank you all so much for a great experience.

We came here for dinner on a Wednesday night and had such a lovely experience. The lasagna is the best I've ever had and the ambiance was perfect. Dimly lit listening to the sound of the waves, perfect for a romantic dinner for two. Abbi and his staff are wonderful - looking forward to returning!

Cannot say enough good things about this place. The owner was amazing, the Friday night entertainment was amazing, the food was outstanding. What our waiter lacked in personality, was more than made up for by the owner. I would urge anyone to visit, especially on Friday nights after 7. Thanks for an amazing night celebrating two birthdays in style. We appreciate you all making it so special.
Tim J — Google review
Great italian food, great ambience e absolute kindness of all staff members. The owner came to greet us at the table and introduced our 8 years daughter to the other clients saying she was the most beautiful girl of that evening. She was so happy!
Luca R — Google review
Excellent dining experience. I’m surprised it took me 3 trips to Anguilla to finally make a stop at Dolce Vita— I wish I had tried it sooner. Really great Italian food and service. In particular, the lobster fra diavolo was superb.

Dolce Vita in Sandy Ground Anguilla is right on the breach and a great location for a sunset dinner! The service, drinks, and Italian food were all very good and we enjoyed the music and entertainment while having dinner on a Friday evening. The lobster linguine and lasagna were exceptional. We had Nutella cheese cake for the first time and enjoyed sharing desert among our family. This restaurant seems to be a local favorite with a very open and romantic and fun atmosphere. We look forward to visiting Dolce Vita on our next trip!

Restaurant
Nestled on the serene Crocus Bay in Anguilla, Da'Vida is a chic, family-owned restaurant offering a laid-back atmosphere and stunning beachside views. The eatery features an upscale and modern ambiance with most seating right on the sandy shores. Its menu showcases a fusion of Caribbean and international cuisine, including delectable dishes like ahi tuna tartar, roasted Thai beef salad, lobster spring roll, and tamarind-glazed sea scallops.
This is my second time at Da’Vida in Anguilla, and it definitely won’t be the last. The food is always on point, which is exactly why I came back for more. This time, I tried the Caesar Salad Pizza, and let me tell you—it was scrumptious. Sounds like an odd combo, right? But it was honestly amazing together. I also had a guava daiquiri that was perfectly sweet and refreshing—definitely a tropical treat. The service was top-notch, and the scenery? Absolutely stunning. There was even a live band to set the mood. Oh, and if you love taking pictures, the backdrop here is perfect for some beautiful shots. If you’re in Anguilla, Da’Vida is a must-visit—great food, vibes, and a view that’ll have you snapping pics all day!
Anikaiam — Google review
After my first visit, I was right back there the next day—it’s just that good. The atmosphere is relaxed but elegant, and the service? Top tier. Everyone is warm, welcoming, and attentive. The older gentleman who was performing live entertainment was so full of energy and vibrant. I wish him well he’s very friendly and has great vocals. Now let’s talk food: so fresh, so flavorful. The fish bits are hands down my favorite—crispy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, words don’t do this place justice. I’m attaching pictures so they can speak for themselves. Already dreaming of my next visit!

Paradise!? Sure feels like it! Amazing sand and view. Was with a group of 6 easily seated. Everyone is smiling enjoying themselves. Fish but as you see in the Pic we're fantastic. Had the fish sandwich and thought to myself how tasty and then my wife took a bite and loved it as well. Goat Stew they only had 1 left and we asked for 3...but we bounced back- why, because it is paradise. No dramas here....None! No live music but could easily see it!! As another poster mentioned already dreaming of my next visit!
Hal G — Google review
We ordered the chilli wings to start with which were okay in my opinion then for my main course I ordered the lobster and it was very disappointing because it was under cooked. I don't understand how you screw up something as simple as a lobster. I expressed my disappointment to our server who passed it on to the chef who did not seem to care because we were compensated with a plate of fries and had to still pay for everything in full. While my husband enjoyed his steak. I dnt think I'll be dining here again.
Jessica P — Google review
Tired of the same old beach bar? This restaurant is the answer... great service, excellent selection, flawless execution. We ate 3 different food disciplines in the same meal; Indian, Chinese, and French, and each course was spot on. The location is as amazing as the service.
Albert S — Google review
Stopped by for a late Saturday lunch. Enjoyed the Indian fare. Started with a lentil dip (outstanding) and samosas. She had the Shrimp Tikka Masala and I had the Palak Paneer with Shrimp. All items were presented beautifully, and they tasted better than they looked! And the Pina Coladas were excellent. Service and location were wonderful. Highly Recommend!!!
Kirk W — Google review
Da’Vida in Crocus Bay is pure magic. My partner and I had the most romantic dinner here. The setting is breathtaking, with the ocean just steps away, creating a romantic atmosphere as the sun set below the horizon. The food was absolutely delicious, each plate presented with the care and elegance of a 5-star restaurant. Every course felt thoughtfully prepared, both in flavor and in presentation, making the experience feel elevated yet warmly inviting. Between the service, stunning setting, and exquisite cuisine, Da’Vida gave us a night to remember. If you’re in Anguilla and want an evening that’s both intimate and unforgettable, this is the spot.

Picante is a vibrant Mexican restaurant located in Anguilla's West End, known for its delicious and generous servings of Mexican cuisine. Established by a young couple from California, the eatery offers an array of options including flavorful burritos with various fillings, fresh tortilla chips paired with top-notch guacamole, taco salads, seafood dishes, enchiladas, and tequila-lime chicken grilled under a brick.
What a find. Excellent food. Great service. Chili crusted tuna tacos were awesome. The shrimp burrito was so tasty. Get the corn and queso con chorizo to start. Beer cold. Atmosphere cool. Must try!
Steve B — Google review
Lovely Mexican restaurant on the West End of the island. Came here for dinner one evening. The venue is small but cozy. We started with some drinks and the guava margarita was delicious! For an appetizer, we shared the chorizo queso which was cheesy and a bit spicy. For entrees, we had the supreme steak burrito, brick chicken, and shrimp fajitas. All the dishes were flavorful and nice portion sizes. The housemade extra-hot hot sauce is yummy! For dessert we shared the Mexican chocolate pudding and the lemon/lime frozen pudding. Both were fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend a meal here. When you’re done, they give you a personal little pack of Chiclets!
Alexandra K — Google review
Picante is a colorful, cozy spot in Anguilla that serves some of the most flavorful Mexican-inspired dishes on the island. The Picante Taco, their house specialty, was absolutely delicious and a must-try. It’s a creative twist on the classic taco—featuring a hard shell nestled inside a soft shell, with guacamole, sour cream, and refried beans layered between the tortillas. The result is a perfect combination of textures and bold, vibrant flavors. The Grilled Chili-Queso Corn on the Cob was hands-down the best corn on the cob I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly grilled and coated with a flavorful chili-cheese seasoning, it’s an absolute must-have. If you visit Picante, you simply cannot skip this dish! To complete the meal, I had a refreshing margarita that was expertly crafted and paired beautifully with the food. I also want to give a special shout-out to my server, CJ, who was such an amazing and warm person. CJ’s friendly and attentive service made the experience even more memorable, and it’s clear they genuinely care about making every guest feel welcomed and taken care of. With its vibrant decor, laid-back atmosphere, and incredible food, Picante is a fantastic choice for a relaxed and flavorful evening in Anguilla. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great food, great vibes, and exceptional service!

Picante was our favorite meal during our Anguilla stay! From the chips & guac and grilled corn con queso (yum!) to our entrees (chicken enchiladas, quesadillas, picante tacos, & chicken burrito), everything we tried was outstanding. The friendly staff and inviting atmosphere added to the whole experience. We were on the early end for dinner and had reservations which had been recommended to us. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy great Mexican food!

Picante is an annual favorite dining experience for our stay on Anguilla. Casual Mexican with attentive and quick service which can sometimes be missing in the Caribbean. The food is delicious. They also have an extensive dessert menu although we are always too full to try it. Love the Double Bubble that comes with your check!

Amazing! My husband and I decided to check out this cute little Mexican spot after some locals recommended it to us. It’s just a 5 min walk from the four seasons (where we’re staying) and it was so so good. Didn’t know what to expect with a Mexican restaurant in the Caribbean, but let me tell you it was amazing! Our server: Alesha. She was so kind and welcoming! Very sweet and great service. I also greatly appreciated that she noted down the tip portion on the receipt was “extra tip.” This was amazing after feeling pressured out money left and right from the four seasons. Food we got: -Chips & guac: guac beats my fave guac of all time at my go to Mexican spot back home. Also the chips were warm & crunchy- yum! - Mango Margarita: amazing, fresh tasting mango flavor - Frozen Strawberry margarita: a classic & basically gave me two drinks with the quantity poured in - Tuna Tacos: seriously incredible. The perfect blend of Mexican and Carribean. I’m not a spicy fan and they dialed down the spice for me. The flavor was smoky, tangy & tuna was great quality. Loved the Caribbean slaw and pico mix on top was very tasty. *our fave item!!! -Picantes Tacos (1 chicken, 1 beef): very good! Meat was tender and very flavorful. - side of refried beans: not like your typical refried beans. The beans were whole so I was not expecting that but flavor still on point. We really wanted dessert, but we’re SO stuffed. Overall fantastic environment/ ambiance, great service & great pricing. Much less expensive than breakfast at four seasons. Highly recommend!!! Also gave us chicklet gum with receipt- adorbs !

BEST MEXICAN ON THE ISLAND. The chips and salsa was excellent. Jahari was a great server too. We ordered the cheese quesadillas to share which were bombdotcom. The chicken chimichanga was one of the best I’ve ever had. They even asked if I wanted flour or corn tortilla, legit. The vegetable enchilada was also a hit. Picante is a must stop place. The art decor and atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for it to be.

Been coming here for 20 years. I dream about the chipotle ribs. Lovely all around. The grilled fish salad is wonderful. Excellent cocktails.

Restaurant
Tasty's Restaurant, located on the Main Road in Anguilla, is a beloved establishment known for serving up delicious local cuisine. Chef-proprietor Dale Carty takes pride in offering authentic dishes such as curried goat, seafood salad, and snapper or mahi. The restaurant is an institution where visitors can savor local favorites like salt fish with Johnny cakes and Grandma's style stewed chicken.
What a fun vibe. From the flashing sign to the music. Food is terrific, simple, tasty! Chef Dale is welcoming and appreciative. Servers are helpful and present. Great views too! We had the seafood salad and the ribs. The conch cevixhe was terrific. Beer was cold. We'll be back!

Tasty’s POV is a favorite. Open air dining with magnificent views. The staff is very courteous and attentive. The restaurant owner frequently checks in with customers and thanks you for coming. The food is delicious and is nicely presented. Recommend the crayfish, blackened snapper filet, seafood salad, fritters, and the lobster bisque soup. Full bar with excellent cocktails is served as well.

We visited Tasty POV twice. First time we had the Mahi Mahi fish sandwich and BBQ ribs, second visit we each had a burger, mine with cheese. The location is centrally located and easy to get to. The atmosphere is a perfect Anguillan lookout! The restaurant is open air with an expansive patio across the back overlooking Sandy Ground. Great for photos and they’ve even set up a large frame for pics. The staff super friendly and great at offering suggestions. Now for the food, burgers are large and well seasoned and very good. The ribs were tender and not a nibble left. The fish sandwich was amazing!!! I can’t wait to visit Anguilla again to have one! As for drinks, not sure we received any alcohol even though we asked for and paid for it. Our second visit we stayed with water and soda.

Came here for our last lunch on the island prior to heading to the airport. We had been told the food was good. I started with a creamy broccoli soup which was surprisingly tasty. For lunch, I ordered a salad which was supposed to have cheese, avocado, and bacon. It ended up coming with fruit on it instead which was disappointing. The oxtails were yummy!
Alexandra K — Google review
We found Tasty’s to be the best restaurant on the island - especially for seafood! The octopus salad was stunning. The service and music were fabulous as well. The fish could use a little more seasoning or garnishes, but it was still delicious. We can only recommend them :)

Tasty's POV!! My absolute favourite restaurant on the island. So nice had to do it twice - with my favourite people. This was my last hurrah in Anguilla until next time - the food, the drinks, the staff, the scenery, the entertainment (Saxophone - my favourite instrument 🎶) - such a RELAXING AMBIENCE!! It was PERFECT!! This time I had the Coconut Crusted Fish (Mahi Mahi) with a Passion Fruit Daiquiri. I also had a taste of the grilled mahi. It was delish!! Have you been to this restaurant yet? Have you tried this dish? If so, what’s your “point of view”?

Finally got to try the oxtail, and it was worth the wait. Had dinner here twice in May ‘24 on our first visit to the island and fell in love. I just kept striking out on the oxtail. No worries, we got to try the whole snapper (amazing) and seafood salad (also amazing) but this time I was lucky enough to find that they had some left and on my birthday as well. Absolutely marvelous, the best oxtail I’ve had. My wife loved her seafood pasta as well. He always has talented musicians to entertain the guests. Great views, amazing food and lovely staff. Always a pleasure dining there.

Pretty good food, we enjoyed the service and music playing, sang while we ate. My sister really loved the seafood salad, very fresh veggies in all the dishes. Best fried johnny cakes, we all agree that was a great start to the meal

Gwen's Reggae Bar and Grill is a lively beachside spot that truly comes to life during the warm summer days. It's not your typical restaurant, but rather a spacious beach hut with a charming veranda and a few scattered chairs. The place is renowned for its live music, delightful rum punches, and welcoming atmosphere. Run by Gwen and her family, this establishment offers exceptional hospitality that makes you feel like part of their own family.
Such a lovely and authentic beach bar run by Gwen and her family. Delicious food and a fabulous location. Don’t miss Thu and Sun live music and dancing with The Scratch Band, led by Gwen’s husband. Stop by for a beer and food to experience the true Caribbean vibes.

Want a quiet beach to yourself?? Go to Gwen’s! The food was amazing with very generous portions. Drinks were some of the best on the island! They have tables out in the sand, chairs and umbrellas for use if you’re a customer. Staff made you feel welcome, total beach vibes hanging out at Gwen’s!
Candace L — Google review
We really enjoyed lunch there last week, as we were only a 5 min walk on the beach from our hotel, Zemi Boutique. The live music was awesome, and the beach just spectacular. Food was pretty good, as the whole fish was fresh with a pretty good spicy sauce.
Steve R — Google review
We had a rum punch and a pain killer both were excellent. Then we had mahi mahi sandwich and the snapper fillet. Both were incredible. They both came with a pasta side in some kind of curry that I wish I could bottle up and take home. 10/10

The ribs and chicken wings were SO good The rib dinner plate had some great sides!!! We would definitely recommend the food and the beach and the music !!!
Jami W — Google review
The view here is awesome! Perfect views of the beach and water. However, this wouldn’t be my first choice for food. We had lunch here and while our server was very nice and the food didn’t take excessively long, it was just okay.
Alexandra K — Google review
It was a rainy day so we stopped by and had the best rum punch on the island in my opinion and a delicious mahi mahi sandwich
Alana I — Google review
This restaurant certainly impressed from a visual standpoint. It’s beautifully situated right on the beach and has a lovely, laid-back vibe. However, the experience was let down by the food and service. Although the customer service was friendly when ordering, the food quality was subpar and the wait time was excessively long. I ordered a Mahi Mahi burger and a kids’ meal. At that point, there was only one other table with two people. About 30 minutes later, a group of 12 arrived, and we ended up waiting nearly an hour for our food. The kids’ meal was larger than the adult portion, which was disappointing. My burger was tiny, with the piece of fish measuring no more than 8x6 cm. Given the cost and the fact that the food was nearly cold when it arrived, I was very disappointed. While the burger tasted okay, it was so light on fillings that I left feeling unsatisfied. Overall, the location and ambiance were great, but the food and service need significant improvement.

Princess Juliana International Airport

International airport
Transportation
Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Martin is renowned for its unique feature of planes flying low over Maho Beach as they land. The beach, located at the end of the airport's runway, attracts a large number of tourists who come to witness the impressive sight of airplanes landing and taking off. Positioned next to the airport, Maho Beach is a popular spot for plane spotters seeking an up-close view of aircraft in their flight path.
First time airport was still recovering from "the" hurricane. Now finished and it is gorgeous! Easy and roomy check-in as well as security. Has priority lanes with TSA Pre-Check equivalent. Roomy gate areas. Now a Priority Pass lounge is open and fairly nice (great insofar as island airport lounges). The island should be very proud! Great job!

Beautiful country, lovely beaches and good people! Head to the Freedom Fighters Ital Shack for healthy vegan food! It's a really small airport. Upon entering, you have to walk across the tarmac and then stand under tents to be escorted into a small room that houses their immigration officers. The room is not properly ventilated, and the staff (those ushering the visitors into this crazy maze) are rude. You do not have to walk far for baggage claim, which is right behind immigration in the next small room. Exiting the airport after collecting your bags was tricky. Clear signs will be a help. Departure, was from the new building felt like you were at an airport. Just know that upon arrival, you will be in a hot room with poor ventilation. I believe once the construction is complete, they will no longer be using that side for arrivals.
Queeney J — Google review
A decent airport for a small island. The newly renovated terminal provides modern services for both airlines and passengers. While there are self-check-in counters, they were unfortunately not operational during my visit. The duty-free area offers a limited selection of shops and brands, but it is sufficient for quick browsing. Security checks were efficient, and the ramp area offers stunning views, adding a nice touch to the experience. Outside the airport, there is a large paid parking lot, and rental car companies are conveniently located nearby..
Omar K — Google review
The renovations are beautiful. They did a good job at making it. One of the problems is that they dont have drinking water fountains like most international airports so you're forced to buy $4 water that you can get for 90c in the supermarket. The have 1hr free wifi access which is nice. The security point is easy and pretty efficient, there were people to help every step of the way with their technologies. The gift options are nice. Clean. Well kept.

Princess Juliana International Airport is definitely one of the most unique airports I’ve been to, especially with planes flying so close over Maho Beach during landing. The airport itself is modern, fairly easy to navigate, and has enough shops and food options for a short wait. Arrival and departure can get a little busy at peak times, but overall my experience was smooth. It’s a memorable place to fly into when visiting St. Maarten.
Amarnath G — Google review
We have flown through here twice. Once in 2024 and once in 2025. Now that the airport is nearing completion it has improved drastically. When we arrived this time we did not have to wait outdoors for customs anymore as the new indoor arrivals area was completed. This was a major improvement. For our departure we were able to get through emigration and security in about ten minutes and the terminal is looking better than ever. There are plenty of little shops to keep you entertained and a growing number of food options. The smoking lounge is still closed off for whatever reason but other than that it seems nearly complete. The staff we dealt with on both legs of this journey were quite pleasant. Understand you may not be able to walk a jetway to or from your plane if you come from certain destinations because they are given priority to certain airlines. As long as you understand that it is a small airport and have a little patience it is quite a nice place to fly in or out of.

Very friendly and easy to get around. Island is only 37 square miles with so many things to do
OfficialAdrielK — Google review
Security was quick and easy to get through. This is the loudest airport I've ever been in. Each gate attendant is constantly talking on the speaker and the volume is incredibly high. It's very overstimulating. I paid the $60 to go in the lounge. It was nice at first. Then a really obnoxious group came in. My headphones couldn't even drown them out.

Gustaf III Airport

Airport
Gustaf III Airport, located in the village of St. Jean, is a compact island airport known for its one of the shortest runways in the world. It offers flights to destinations such as St. Maarten and Guadaloupe and features stores and a snack bar for travelers' convenience. Accessible by small charter planes or scheduled flights, this airport provides connections from various locations including San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Amazing airport and aircraft views! It never gets old to watch the planes! The flight can be a bit scary but much better than taking the ferry.😎
T A — Google review
The roundabout at the top of the hill has a dedicated viewing deck, reached by a flight of steps. It provides a stunning view of the breathtaking approaches of the aircraft as they descend steeply over the hill to touch down on the short runway. Be aware that there is no shade or other facilities and come prepared for the fierce Caribbean sun. Take lots of pictures and you will be delighted with the results.
George S — Google review
What an excellent airport! This is avgeek and aviation enthusiasts heaven! Short runway with a challenging approach makes for some excellent plane spotting from the hills and beach nearby the airport. It can be worth flying to Saint Barts just for this alone, although the island is very charming too and can easily spend some time there.

Lovely carribean airport in St Barth 🛩️🇫🇷🇸🇽 . Thank you to our pilot to have negotiated the landing with delicacy and thank you to the director for giving us permission to land at the last minute and saving us a place during the busy Thanksgiving period. the staff is really great from manager to customs officers 🙏🏻👨🏻‍✈️.

What a special runway has Gustav III Airport at St Barth’s. You can stand by the roundabout and watch the airplane dive into the airport. It’s one of the things what was on my bucket list, to watch those landings on the 650 meter short runway. If you love aviation it’s worth to visit this fantastic island. It’s nice, clean and has a great temperature. Tip: don’t forget you camera to make some beautiful pictures. If you like the view as well please like this review. Thanks!!👍🏼☺️

Grand Case-Espérance Airport

Airport
Grand Case-Espérance Airport is a small but charming airport located on the French side. It offers connections to nearby destinations such as Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthelemy, and Anguilla. The airport is known for its cleanliness and comfort, with amenities including a coffee shop, clothing store, and duty-free shop. Despite its size, it provides access to various French Caribbean islands and is recommended for smaller airplanes.
I did not fly in or out of here, but I did stop to see the airport. It's small and has only smaller aircraft that service it. The parking lot is small, with lots and lots of vehicles parked by the side of the road outside the entrance. The terminal building is big enough to do the job, with a small concession stand, a gift shop and a travel agent. There are also public restroom facilities. I would have no problem using this airport. How about you?

Great service. Sandrine was great. She made us an upgrade, came for the Pich-up at Ferry of SXP and took us to the ferry terminal of St Maarten. Highly recommendable.

Nice little airport with some very good paninis ! A pity that they have to deal with Air Antilles, thé disaster airline of the Caribbean with zero consideration or respect for its high-paying customers ... but that's another story. The airport is cute.
Ronny M — Google review
It's a little but very convenient airport....easy acces and no long time to pass security
Julian P — Google review
Air Antilles what an utter disaster of a platform. No option to complete the payment after spending 30 mins putting our info in for the flight, then when you call them no one speaks English. I cannot understand how these companies stay in business with the obvious exception of socialism / govt funded which explains the pathetic level of functionality and service.

Nice little airport. Very clean and good airconditioning.

Grand Case is a little but very nice airport. Prices are more reasonable than Juliana. Highly recommended for the smaller airplanes.
