Karavalli - Vivanta Bengaluru, Residency Road

Mentioned on

$$$$very expensive
South Indian restaurant
Karavalli, situated at Vivanta Bengaluru Residency Road, is a refined restaurant that showcases regional dishes from the southwest coast of India. The menu features a variety of classic dishes such as fiery crab milagu fry, tiger prawns roast, and Alleppey meen curry. The focus is on authentic flavors and cooking techniques from Hindu, Muslim, and Christian coastal communities. The restaurant's architecture is inspired by traditional Mangalorean bungalows surrounded by tamarind trees.
Be careful when searching for Karavalli, because there is another restaurant with a similar name nearby called Karavali Fine Dining. That one is a basic setup under a building and is not the same at all. The real Karavalli is slightly hidden off the main road, on a quiet and beautiful side street. It feels like walking into a secret garden, with fountains, gazebos, outdoor seating under the trees, and charming indoor halls with wooden floors, wooden ceilings, and Indian art on the walls. It is a stunning place. My taxi driver dropped me at the other location by mistake, and I almost missed what turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences I have had. They welcome you with a warm cup of spiced Rasam soup, a basket of papadam and fried snacks, along with a couple of dips. I ordered the Chicken Ghee Roast with Neer Dosa. The chicken was packed with spices that came together beautifully without feeling overwhelming. The Neer Dosa was plain but perfect for picking up the rich flavours of the dish, letting the chicken and the spices take centre stage. Everything was served on a banana leaf, which added to the authentic feel of the meal. Do not forget to ask for tissues, because the spices do hit your nose after a while. The service was excellent. The staff were attentive and even advised me not to over-order, which I always appreciate as it shows genuine care. I ended my meal with a South Indian filter coffee, served in the traditional style, which balanced out the spice and wrapped up the meal nicely. And just like they welcomed me with complementary Rasam, they sent me off with a complementary bowl of paan.

"Dining at Karavalli in Bangalore felt like daylight looting. The food was below average, yet the prices were absurd—₹1700 for a chicken fry starter, ₹1300 for Achinga Mezhukku, and over ₹200 for a single appam that usually costs just ₹10–20. I’ve seen many restaurants and cafés in Bangalore that are far more worthy, with better food and ambience. Here, they only played traditional flute music throughout—maybe that’s what cost so high and expensive 😂. Honestly, I don’t understand why people waste their hard-earned money on such places that offer nothing worthwhile." I think the menu card shown here is old one. New menu card will make you shocked. Prices are unjustifiable for the food, service and ambience provided. If you need to taste kerala food, there are tons of restaurants to choose from. (Eg. Chef pilla restraunt. which itself is expensive yet atleast justifiable). I don't understand how some people give high ratings. I will never reccomend this restraunt. If you want to waste money simply come here.
VISHNU S — Google review
As you walk towards the restaurant, you are transformed from the bustling urban street of Bengaluru to an oasis of nature tranquility. I have been here a couple of times. The food is amazingly delicious, especially seafood preparations. There are indoor tables as well as outdoor ones (mosquitoes and insects may interfere with your experience, though). Cozy seating with a luxury feel. Lastly, the service is a classic display of brilliant Taj hospitality - courteous, helpful, flawless. They ensure you have a great overall experience here.

We had a meal for 2 at the Karavalli, Taj Residency Road, Bengaluru. Served in a great ambience with lovely carnatic music, water falls in the background and in the open. We had the Head Chef Ramachandran who has been with the property for 20+ years explaining the ingredients used and the way it is made to some great service by Shanti who was always cheerful, and delivered outstanding service. Overall a very memorable experience.

Absolutely loved the experience at Karavalli! The food was delicious and authentic with rich coastal flavors. The staff was very attentive and polite, and the service was quick. The ambiance was calm and elegant — perfect for a relaxing meal. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bengaluru!"

“I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The check-in was smooth, and the staff made me feel welcome right away. The room was spacious, clean, and had all modern amenities. The food was fresh and delicious with lots of variety. I also loved how peaceful and well-maintained the property was. Location is perfect, close to major attractions and easy to access. The hospitality was outstanding — the staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting this city.”
Mustkeem K — Google review
“Karavalli is a beautiful and peaceful place that captures the charm of South India’s coastal heritage. Surrounded by greenery and designed like a traditional Mangalorean home, it gives a warm, earthy, and relaxing vibe. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions — you’ll feel like you’re dining in nature while still being in the heart of Bengaluru!”

Everything about this restaurant is splendid. The location is beautiful and the vibes are peaceful. The presentation of the dishes is just as beautiful as how they taste. If you’re in the area definitely check it out!

Rim Naam

Mentioned on

Thai restaurant
Rim Naam is a stunning Thai restaurant located within the luxurious five-star hotel, The Oberoi. Its name, meaning "by the water," perfectly captures its setting by a serene pond surrounded by lush gardens. The restaurant offers an elegant dining experience with classic grandeur, impeccable service, and a menu filled with authentic Thai dishes and fresh seafood. Guests can enjoy alfresco seating on a floating wooden structure while being serenaded by soft classical music.
There’s no beating this place, hands down the best Asian food in all of bangalore ! Matched with Oberoi hospitality. Have been here multiple times , love the crab dishes, aside the regular Thai curry, flat noodles I have enjoyed. Also! the coconut dessert they serve in the martini glass. Their ice creams is available are quite epic too !
Krishni M — Google review
Rim Naam at the Oberoi Hotel, Bangalore, provides a peaceful oasis amidst the infamous chaos that is Bangalore traffic. The restaurant is located in a lovely landscaped garden... we actually walked through a mini rocky cave with an old fig tree atop!... and the dining area is on a charming stilted platform. The ambience transports one to a parallel universe of calm and quiet, and that for me is more than enough reason to visit this place. The food is good and the staff extremely genial and attentive. The prices are on the steeper side, but the portion size is enough for two, maybe more. I loved the starters more than the mains. And I would have loved a slightly wider range of mocktails. What impressed me most was the Rim Naam mandarin, an orange and chocolate mousse dessert. It's a feast for the eyes, and of the palate. Strongly recommend.
Joy — Google review
We visited Rim Naam for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was lovely and made for a pleasant evening. We started with their signature veg platter, which was decent but didn’t quite deliver the “WOW” we were expecting in terms of flavor. The mocktails, however, were refreshing and enjoyable. For the main course, we had the red curry and Pad Thai noodles—both part of their signature offerings. While the presentation was nice, the taste was underwhelming, especially the red curry, which we've had better versions of at other places. It felt quite average considering the fine-dining expectations. We ended the meal with the Rim Naam special Mandarin dessert. Visually, it was stunning, but again, the taste didn’t quite match up. Overall, while the setting and service were pleasant, the food didn’t quite feel 5-star or memorable in terms of flavor. We were hoping for more standout dishes and a stronger Thai flavor profile.
Vijay K — Google review
The Thai Restaurant, nestled within The Oberoi Hotel in Bangalore, truly stands out as an exceptional dining destination. Its limited seating creates an intimate atmosphere, making advance booking essential. The ambience is a major highlight: stepping in feels like entering a tranquil oasis, with the restaurant tucked beneath a canopy of dense trees and beside a serene pond, offering a wonderfully rustic and almost magical setting. As for the food, the set menu is not only incredibly filling but also a culinary delight. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors, showcasing an amazing taste profile that consistently impresses. It's an unforgettable experience for both the senses and the palate.
Shreyash S — Google review
Nestled within the serene and green setting of The Oberoi, Bengaluru, Rim Naam offers an exquisite escape into the world of fine Thai dining. Surrounded by lotus ponds and lush landscapes, the ambiance is as breathtaking as the food. With its elegant open-air seating and tranquil atmosphere, it creates a truly immersive dining experience that transports guests to the heart of Thailand while remaining rooted in the charm of Bengaluru. The culinary offerings at Rim Naam are nothing short of exceptional. The menu is a thoughtfully curated selection of authentic Thai dishes—from aromatic Tom Yum soups to spicy Pad Thai noodles, rich Massaman curries, and perfectly steamed jasmine rice. Every dish is a burst of flavor, showcasing fresh ingredients and traditional techniques. The chefs demonstrate great attention to detail, ensuring each plate is visually stunning and true to its roots. Service at Rim Naam is impeccable, striking the perfect balance between warm hospitality and professionalism. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and eager to make your visit memorable. Whether it's a romantic dinner, a special celebration, or a quiet evening out, Rim Naam stands out as a luxurious and soulful Thai culinary destination in Bengaluru. K.vinoth

For us the most beautiful restaurant in Bengaluru. The staff is welcoming and taking care of you. Stanzin was very nice with us. The food is delicious, it reminds us of Thailand. You want to eat everything on the menu. We highly recommend it!
Céline T — Google review
Delicious food, great service and calming atmosphere. We ordered grilled tiger prawns and stir fry seafood. The prawns and rest of the seafood was perfectly cooked to give a soft juicy experience. Himani and the entire staff there were extremely welcoming and attentive. The soft oriental music added charm to the soothing ambience. To top it off, Himani offered Thapthim krop on the house. It was indeed one of the best tasting Thai desserts I have had. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for exquisite Thai food coupled with equally exquisite dining experience.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary at oberio- was a pleasant evening. Food was lovely- however service was a little area of attention. The table we were on was rocking. The plates were dusty n dirty (open space) later they even forgot to serve us one of the chicken main coarse dish.. the small mango mousse cake was amazing and so was that tiramisu.

Tandoor | A Heritage Indian Restaurant & Bar

Mentioned on

North Indian restaurant
Tandoor, a renowned and beloved restaurant in Bangalore, is known for its flawless management and amazing Indian cuisine. The restaurant's onion salads are a delight with their sweet tangy flavors, while the biryanis, vegetable dishes, and non-vegetarian options are highly recommended. With its grand interiors evoking nostalgia among locals who have been visiting since childhood, Tandoor is a go-to spot for family dinners.
Interiors of the restaurant is beautiful.. with lot painting.. service is good If you want to have a good time with friends and family.. this place is recommended Food was good .. had been here without not knowing what to expect based on mixed reviews.. but overall experience .. will visit again.. butter chicken boneless and dal Malkani must recommended.. parking available..

Visited Tandoor recently for a team lunch and had an excellent experience! The food was delicious with a perfect balance of flavor and presentation. The staff were attentive and courteous, ensuring everything was served just right. The ambience added to the charm — cozy, elegant, and ideal for both casual dining and special occasions. Highly recommend this place at MG road for anyone looking to enjoy good food, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere! They have Valet parking, much needed in this area 👍

I visited tandoor literally after 15 years. I have had an biryani obsession after trying their Chicken biryani back when I was a kid. Ohh man I have to tell you I still remember that moment, it was the best mouth melting Chicken experience I have had.🤤 So i recently decided to visit it with my family , it was my birthday too. We are hardcore meat lovers so we tried there best of best offerings. Honestly it was just an pleasurable experience. The boneless mutton ran with cheese garlic naan hit the spot perfectly. The tandoor platter paired elegantly with their green yoghurt chutney. Mutton biryani was delicious and the basmati rice was lightly spiced and was perfect in every bite. If you wanna feast like a king 👑 , this is your spot. You can further elevate your customer experience by training your staff in a way that they are vigilant about customers needs. Thanks for the amazing food and memories 😊

I would give this restaurant a 0. I ordered food from Tandoor and the butter chicken was stale. There was a cockroach in the food. I would not eat here ever again. What’s worse is I spoke to the hotel manager and he showed no interest in resolving this issue. He put the blame squarely on Swiggy. Let’s be clear Swiggy doesn’t cook or pack the food, they are only aggregators/delivery guys. I would never eat here again. Very disappointing!

I've been a regular at this Bangalore establishment for more than 2 decades . What kept me returning with family and business contacts was the food. Classic north indian and mughlai fare . Reliably consistent quality and taste . Quietly polite service and offcourse the old world charm of the decor and ambience. Several wonderful meals and memories of eating here . Sadly my most recent visit here was , in one word, disappointing. The establishment seems to have lost its mojo. Lackadaisical service and the food - pathetic. The tandoori prawns were leather like and were returned . The seekh kabab and the fish tikka ...were edible but uninspiring. All these dishes served bare ...with no accompaniments , salad etc. The main course of rice and daal was passable , nothing special. Not a satisfactory meal and a huge come down from historical experience. Perhaps the kitchen staff has changed and not for the better . Several better options exist around the MG Road area

LUPA

Modern European restaurant
Lupa is a new restaurant in Bangalore, led by chef Manu Chandra and Founder-Partner Chetan Rampal. The 11,000sqft space, named after the mythological she-wolf who raised Romulus and Remus, offers classic European flavors with a modern twist.
Absolutely loved dining at Lupa! This modern European restaurant delivers a true 5-star experience from start to finish. The cocktails were outstanding—crafted with creativity and balance, easily some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The pasta was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the pie was just incredible—rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. While the vegetarian options are a bit limited, what they do offer is high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Stylish atmosphere, attentive service, and unforgettable food. Highly recommend for a special night out!
Shubham K — Google review
I visited Lupa with my friends over the weekend, and I must say, I loved the vibes. The place is spacious, with plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors, making it perfect for any type of gathering. We arrived around 3:45 PM, unfortunately just after the kitchen had closed, so we didn’t get to sample the food, but we made up for it with some Red and White Sangria, both of which were excellent. The highlight of our experience was definitely Maimei, one of the staff members. He was incredibly courteous and even brought us some peanuts to snack on while we relaxed. I’m definitely coming back to try the food, but the only downside was the drink prices. At ₹950 for a single Sangria, it felt a little on the steeper side. Other than that, I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it!
Ranganath G — Google review
My recent dinner at Lopa Bangalore was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was vibrant and the interior design was nothing short of amazing. The food was equally impressive. We started with the Turkish lamb chops kebab, which came with labne sauce and was absolutely mind-blowing tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The cracking pork (I guess that’s the name) was highly recommended and did not disappoint; it was executed flawlessly. A special shout-out must go to their homemade gelato: forget the other gelato shops in Bangalore, this in-house dessert is far superior and the perfect end to a great meal. Highly recommend!
Jerin J — Google review
Listed in Conde Nast Traveller’s Top 31 Restaurants in India (2024) LUPA is a stunning fine-dining experience tucked right next to the MG Road metro station. You wouldn’t guess what awaits you from the outside—but step in, and you’re instantly transported. With its beautifully designed courtyard (complete with a central water fountain), stylish indoor seating, and a cozy mezzanine for private celebrations, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to—especially for a special day. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet warm, and the service absolutely lives up to the setting. The staff were prompt, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable—guiding us through the expansive menu and suggesting some exceptional dishes and drinks. They even changed our plates and cutlery after every dish—such attention to detail! Appetizers - Greek Mini Pies: These came piping hot and fresh, with flaky pastry and a beautiful filling of zucchini, feta, dill, and parsley. Paired with the orange-fennel marmalade and cashew tahini, it was a bite of Greece done right. - Eggplant Speducci: Surprisingly the star of the evening. Miso and chimichurri together on tender eggplant, topped with almond crumble—unlike anything we’ve tasted. Main Course - Pressed Half Brick Chicken: Crispy, juicy, and so flavourful. The creamed mushrooms and crispy Tuscan potatoes on the side were perfection—honestly, the sides were good enough to be mains! - Wood-fired Chermoula Cauliflower: This was probably the only dish we didn’t enjoy as much—it felt a bit overdone with too many elements, though the pita was great. Dessert Key Lime Tart: Intricately made, beautifully presented, though a bit too tangy for our taste. Would have preferred a slightly more balanced tartness. Drinks (A must-try if you're into creative cocktails!) Trastevere: Truffle-infused gin with parmesan vermouth? Bold but brilliant. Okinawa Summer: Light, citrusy, with a sweet twist. Refreshing. Curry & Smoke: A standout—curry leaf in a drink? Surprisingly aromatic and smooth. PB&J: Peanut butter bourbon and raspberry—unexpected but works so well, and even comes topped with a PB treat shaped like a peanut. The St. Germain: A more classic blend—floral and pleasant but didn’t stand out. Black Mirror: Dessert in a glass—cacao, coconut, cold brew and a nitro dalgona float. Bold and delicious. Price Point: Yes, it’s expensive—cocktails are around ₹1200 and most dishes ₹600+. But for a special occasion, the quality, service, and overall experience really justify the price. If you're looking for a place to celebrate or simply want to treat yourself to one of India’s best culinary experiences, LUPA is well worth the splurge.
Priyanka S — Google review
My son took us out for lunch for my birthday, he loves dining at LUPA so I will reserve my comments to two aspects:- Music- LUPA has no dance floor (if it does we did not notice not it's a disco, dance place or a similar joint) so why was the music deafining?? At such places one visits with family or friends and need to talk and not shout at each other? The music gave us a headache. Service - A high-end restaurant and the Serving staff were ignorant about the dishes and it's accompaniments?? Fish &Chips, we have had this dish in London, all over UK, Australia, New Zealand and the fish was always accompanied by chips but LUPA Staff educates us by saying "Fish and Chips actually had no chips"?????? We had an excellent family time would have been better if the music was soft.
Jude M — Google review
The Tuscan-courtyard style, marble fountains, Art-Deco touches, lush interiors and stone + glass elements are beautifully done. The layout—with private and semi-private zones, mezzanine spaces, special open kitchens, etc.—gives options for different moods (date night, group dinners, special occasion). The menu is ambitious and inventive: classic European foundations with modern twists. Dishes like the pressed half-brick chicken, corzetti pasta with wild mushroom ragu, creative charcuteries, and a robust wine cellar are major pluses. Also, thoughtful touches—using locally sourced or well-curated ingredients, house-made gelatos, bespoke cheeses, interesting cocktails—go a long way in boosting the overall dining experience.
Prashant D — Google review
Ten of us went for pre-diwali family lunch. We booked online and received a confirmation email. Immediately thereafter, we received a call asking us to pay 5K to confirm the reservation as it was a Sunday, which we did. The person booking also told us that if we were taking courtyard seating, we should be prepared for the loud music (which was the case). Overall, reservation process was responsive. We ordered a hell lot (35K worth of just food orders for nine people and a child) so tough to go through each dish, but it ranged from fine (pizzas, most desserts) through good (duck, to great (dark chocolate and burnt orange mousse, lamb shoulder barbacoa which is slow roasted lamb, a slightly spicy pasta dish whose name I forget). Only disappointment were the soups - the asparagus soup was tastes of nothing (not in terms of bad taste, but very flat taste in the manner of a soup that you would have if you were told it was health food, but not for its taste!) Service was efficient even when the place got busy for Sunday brunch though they disappointed at the last moment when one person's hot chocolate came 10-15 mins after everyone's coffees were served. Some people would feel that at 3-3.5K per person without alcohol, everything needs to hit the high notes. But in a restaurant which has such a huge menu, that would be wrong to expect. As I mentioned above, it plays in the average and above range. With the ambience and the variety it offers, great place for larger groups and families where everyone will find something for their interest. A fine dine restaurant with a one page menu, that gets everything perfect maybe a better option for a smaller group or a couple looking for a cozier place with exceptional food.
Siddhartha S — Google review
So, listen up! There's this place called Lupa. Right on MG Road in Bengaluru; and oh my god, it’s lush. Like, you walk in and immediately feel like you’ve accidentally stumbled into someone’s Tuscan holiday home, but posher. It’s in this massive space (11,000 square feet, if you’re into measurements and stuff), with actual carved fountains, a wine cellar that’s basically a bougie basement, and a mezzanine for private dining: you know, for when you’re feeling all mysterious and VIP. Now, the vibe? Honestly, it’s like Europe flew over and gave Bengaluru a big, stylish kiss on both cheeks. There’s grand staircases (hello, dramatic entrances), a gorgeous outdoor deck, a literal gelato lab (yes, really), a salumeria (fancy word for meat things), and these open pantries that just scream, “Look at us, we’re fabulous and we know it.” Food-wise, it’s like a culinary catwalk. You’ve got Mediterranean and Italian classics doing a little twirl, but with a twist. Keep banging on about the Salumi Platter, Burrata with tomato oil (ugh, yes please), and this Pressed Half Brick Chicken which sounds like it could knock your ex out and taste amazing. And the drinks? Unreal. There’s one called the Notorious F.I.G. (fig bourbon, Campari, orange bitters — very gangster-chic), and another that’s basically a cocktail version of melon, cheese and ham. I mean, who thinks of that?! Geniuses, that’s who. But let me tell you now, this place ain’t cheap. No two-for-one fishbowl mojitos here. It’s more “special night out in a dress you can’t spill on” than “quick bite after work in your Crocs.” You’re definitely paying for the whole moment, darling — the food, the glam, the drama, the lighting, everything. So, if you’re in the mood to treat yourself, or if you need somewhere swanky to take your new crush (or your boss, or your mum), Lupa’s your girl. Just don’t expect quiet whispers and dim corners. This place is loud, proud, and meant to be seen. In short? It’s not dinner. It’s a bloody event. #bar #bengaluru #chandra #chetan #dining #european #gandhi #italian #lupa #mahatma #manu #mediterranean #private #rampal

We dined here three weeks ago as a large group. The food was delicious. Service was nice. Feedback regarding food and service were promptly addressed, we truly appreciate that. We loved the ambience. But one major let down was that the entire family became sick after dining here, we are suspecting the water to be the reason (We chose in-house water which is supposed to be filtered).

A luxurious ambience with a great view on the 17th floor of leela bhartiya city. This Indian restaurant is Uber luxe and suave The service was absolutely fantastic. Coming to the food we opted for the nonveg set menu and it was superlative The appetizer chaat and the nonveg starters were spot on. The main course was delectable with both the chicken and mutton well cooked and superb assortment of rotis The desserts and biryani were wonderful Better wear loose fitting clothing for this

Very beautiful ambience, located on the 17th floor, has both an inside seating arrangement and an outside rooftop lounge setting. My preference will always be the rooftop setting. The food is excellent, especially the Nalli Nihari is to kill for. The desserts are brilliant as well. Hats off to Chef Mr. Farman Ali for the supremely delectable food. Also, many thanks to Mr. Virender Yadav for the wonderful hospitality. Must Visit Place with friends and family!!!!

This place offers luxury dining in every sense. The experience starts from the locality of Bhartiya City to The Leela palace hotel to the 17th floor where yhe restaurant is. They offer open air plus closed door dining option. The experience includes stunning panoramic view, great staffs who would take care of their guests, dining set-up (slow music in the backdrop) and most importantly authentic food delicacies. This can be a great choice for any dining plan with families or friends. Must try: Multani Seekh Kabab (4 pcs)

Loya - Taj West End, Bengaluru

Restaurant
North Indian restaurant
Loya - Taj West End, Bengaluru is a fine-dining destination that offers a modern take on traditional Northern Indian cuisine. The restaurant provides an exquisite ambiance with indoor and semi-outdoor seating, along with exceptional service. The menu features tantalizing dishes such as Paneer Zatar, Multani Gobhi, and aromatic Gosht Biryani.
Visited in June 2025 on a Sunday for lunch. Located inside the Taj West End, Loya is a rebranding of the erstwhile “Masala Klub,” now with a focus on North Indian regional cuisine. The menu has a decent spread of vegetarian options, which we found to be quite enjoyable. The ambience and service, as always with the Taj, are top-notch. We started with the Loyal Mule, which was orange infused and light, a while the Tamarind-fennel soda, had a pleasant hit from the tamarind towards the end. The Kauni ke Kebab was lovely, while the Dal ki Chaat, prepared tableside by the chef, who customizes it to your spice and seasoning preferences was an engaging experience. The final result tasted close to a well-executed dal pakwaan. We followed that with the Paneer Zaatar, which was milder than described (a plus for us, essentially a nicely grilled, spice-rubbed paneer steak. Our main course was the Bhee Saag, a rich, thick saag preparation accompanied by condiments and lotus stem chips on the side (which tend to get soggy if left too long). The breads were good, though the portions of the Naan seemed slightly smaller than usual. We arrived early, so service was prompt and warm. The team also surprised us with a small chocolate mousse/cake to celebrate my birthday—much appreciated! A big thanks to Surendar and Shyama for their attentive service, and to Shrutika for handling the billing with a smile. Pricing is on par with a five-star experience, as expected. All in all, Loya makes for a great spot to unwind over a relaxed Sunday lunch while enjoying refined North Indian fare.

Loya at Taj West End delivers an exceptional North Indian dining experience that effortlessly blends tradition with luxury. The ambience is elegant and warm, making it a perfect choice for both special occasions and relaxed evenings. Every dish tells a story — from their creative chaats to flavourful North Indian classics, the ingredients and spices shine through. The staff are genuinely attentive, happily offering recommendations and ensuring every detail is taken care of. The overall experience feels thoughtfully curated, and while it’s definitely a premium outing, the food quality and attentive service make it well worth it. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Went there due to it being 2nd top restaurant on the list of TripAdvisor for Bangalore and was not disappointed. I was early so I was the only one there, and the staff were super polite and I went with the dishes they recommend and they were all fantastic! And the hotel surroundings are just beautiful!

We had a great experience dining here recently. The daal ki chat was amazing, and as was chicken and prawn kebabs. The desserts especially rabri with boondi was quite good. They have a wide range of innovative cocktails and mocktails, which we could try few of. The whiskey cocktails were amazing. Finally, it has the iconic Taj service which was consistent with what you'd expect from only Taj :)

Not going to say anything about the food except 1) Go to Loya; you won’t be disappointed. 2) Don’t go if you are a boring the dal makhni/ butter chicken sort of person 🤣. Food blew me away especially the lamb in the roasted walnut shell gravy. Unusual delicious flavours. Excellent service. The mukhwas at the end was an unusual concept. Taj west end is lovely and Loya is a beautiful setting.

Had a wonderful experience at Taj Loya! The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff is extremely courteous and attentive. The food was flavorful and authentic, with every dish prepared to perfection. Service was prompt, and the overall vibe made it a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quality dining experience.

Had an average food experience at Taj West End, Bangalore. While the staff was prompt and available to assist, they seemed to lack basic training — one even came from behind unexpectedly to pour water, and similar lapses in serving etiquette were noticed. Disappointed with the overall experience, especially given the brand’s reputation.
Kapil V — Google review
Loya at Taj West End in Bengaluru offers an exceptional dining experience where the food is not only beautifully presented but also incredibly flavorful. The ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality, and the chefs skillfully use traditional Indian cooking techniques to enhance the natural flavors of each dish. The service at Loya is equally impressive, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who are more than happy to make recommendations and answer any questions. Dining at Loya is a true pleasure, combining exquisite cuisine with impeccable service.

Indian restaurant
Farzi Cafe is a popular restaurant located in the upscale UB City Mall. Owned by Zorawar Kalra, it aims to elevate Indian cuisine by giving traditional dishes a modern twist. The menu offers a variety of options, with standout dishes like pizza, garlic & makhani pasta, chicken candy gonduraj sauce, and thepla tacos. The ambiance is pleasant, although some feel that the presentation lacks uniqueness. Portion sizes are decent and suitable for individual consumption.
I ordered a three-course bento box and mocktail. The food was great and special mention for the dessert. The drink was equally good . The ambiance was inviting, and the service was attentive. Great value for money—overall, a wonderful dining experience worth recommending.
Navya G — Google review
Extremely disappointing. They have nothing gastronomy, the reason we went there and that’s what they have on their webpage. The 3 stars are just for the ambience and service. The “dateme” mocktail was good. The Arrabbiata penne was very spicy with a lot of sweet as well, we could not eat that. The dahi chat was little too sweet. The dirt cake was as the name suggests especially the dry cake crumbled tasted really eggy. The tiramisu was frozen on top and was not like how tiramisu should taste. The manager told us Karnataka Govt has banned liquid nitrogen and a few other things wrt food safety, hopefully they will update their webpage soon with this info.
Sandhya P — Google review
Pros: Farzi cafe offers fusion dishes and quirky takes on Indian cuisines. We tried quite a few starters and all of them were very interesting. We tried Dal chawal Arachini, Paneer Takatak Taco and Mac n cheese Pakoda bites. Located at a very happening UB city and the place really lits up during the night with great vibes. Cons: Rasmalai Tres Leches could’ve been better. It tasted way better last time I had it here. The service seemed a bit off but I’d not fret too much about it but definitely not the kind of promptness you’d expect for the price the place demands.
Parv K — Google review
The place has a vibe. Ambience is basic but pretty good. Starters are delicious, presentation of the food is really good. We had butter chicken bao, butter garlic prawn, strawberry mojito, chicken Tikka biriyani. Biriyani was not that good. This place is inside UB City mall. Visit during day time is recommended if you want to roam around and click pictures.
Sudeshna D — Google review
Was here to try out their all new Farzified menu and loved all the dishes and cocktails. As expected every dish had a quintessential twist with a burst of flavours and great presentation. Must try their Corn soup topped with a spicy chivda and coriander oil, absolutely delicious. The galouti sliders were melt in mouth goodness. The brioche shahi tukda was rich and yumm!! The Farzitini was my choice of poison to beat the heat on a sultry noon.

This place has a pleasant ambience and the view of modern mini skyscrapers outside is a plus. The serve time is fast. Price is on higher sides and not all those fancy seats are as comfortable as they’re pretty. Now the taste, Food taste varied from good to very forgettable. Drinks were nice. Overall I had a decent experience
Dhirendra K — Google review
This was our second visit here. The cafe boasts a charming ambiance and a cozy setting, making it a potentially great spot for casual meet-ups. However, This time the food quality didn't quite match the inviting atmosphere. The dishes, while presented nicely, lacked flavor. While we were seated there the staff was cleaning the cealing lights which was diminishing the value of the ambience for the customer.they also went for a long huddle meet leaving us hanging for placing additional order. We had to walk up to the bar to request for the bill.on our first visit we went to the smoking area by the time we came back they had already cleared our table which had food and when questioned had no apology to offer. Tres leches lacked flavour and the desi noodles were bland.
Ankita B — Google review
Nice cafe serving Indian fusion cuisine with alcoholic drinks. The bar is good with a great selection of cocktails. The restaurant is open air with a cheerful ambience. The seating is good. Being in UB city, the views open towards the central fountain area and the terrace area facing the open air theatre. Bangalore weather being nice all year round, the evenings here are particularly nice. The food is really good too with a nice fusion of South and North Indian dishes. Overall a great place to chill at with anybody.

The Fatty Bao is a vibrant and lively Pan-Asian restaurant and cocktail bar with a unique bohemian style. It offers an array of delectable Pan-Asian dishes, including chicken dim sum, chashu ramen, asparagus tempura cream cheese sesame, pulled pork bao, and Mago Mago tea.
Wanted to have a quick lunch in indiranagar n stopped by at Fatty Bao. Simple space with minimalist decor . However the food stands out well Tried their crab cake n teriyaki bao for starters . Both were good but the bao is super pillowy soft Dont miss their ramens in dining. I tried their spicy chicken ramen, which is comfort for this weather. Totally worth the visit
Sai S — Google review
A nice, small Pan-Asian restaurant located in Indiranagar. For starters, we had Char Siu bao and Gochujang beef bao, which were both delicious. The charred beef ramen was fine. I felt the 'charred-ness' added a weird taste to the soup, but the rest of my family loved it. So, I guess it's just me. We also ordered the pork ribs and seafood flat rice noodles, which were also really good. The meat nicely peeled off the rib bones. Overall, the experience was nice, but the only letdown was the service. It was too slow, and they forgot to order/get our drinks. We had to wait for a long time. But we enjoyed the food and drinks at the restaurant.
Royden F — Google review
Fatty Bao, Indiranagar is definitely a spot worth checking out! We tried the Wasabi Prawns – absolutely delicious, the Rameyon – loved the flavorful base (though the noodles could be better), and the Teriyaki Glazed Chicken Bao – simply outstanding. The ambience is cozy, service is excellent, and valet parking makes it super convenient. A must-visit for Asian cuisine lovers!
L. R — Google review
We tried their sushi, ramen, and bao. The food was decent but honestly just average in taste🙃 The baos were okay, nothing really stood out. For the price, it felt quite expensive for what was served. Overall, it’s a nice place to try once!!
Subiksha R — Google review
The Fatty Bao is a great spot for a quiet and satisfying dinner, with a stylish and comfortable ambience that sets the tone for a relaxed evening. It’s my go-to place, and I always start with their signature Shrimp Tempura and Fried Eggplant Bao—both absolutely delicious and consistently well-made. The ramen here is also worth trying, rich in flavor and generously portioned. Their menu has a good mix of Asian-inspired dishes, perfect for sharing or enjoying solo. The service is prompt and courteous, and the pleasant interiors make it a great place to unwind over a good meal.

Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was absolutely exceptional, especially thanks to Hriday, who made us feel so welcome. The edamame, dim sum, and mushroom ramen were all delicious and perfectly prepared. To top it off, we were pleasantly surprised with an on-the-house dessert, which was equally delightful. Truly a memorable dining experience — highly recommended!
Shilpa S — Google review
Undoubtedly the best ramen in town! Though the name Fatty Bao might lead you to focus just on the baos, don’t make that mistake—their ramen bowls are out of the world! The Pork Belly Ramen Bowl is my personal favorite—rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. I’ve also tried the Mushroom Ramen Bowl when dining with vegetarian friends, and it’s equally delicious. The broth is deeply comforting and packed with flavor. The decor adds to the charm, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a cozy ramen shop somewhere in Japan—super cute and inviting! The baos are tasty too, though slightly on the pricier side. The cheesecake we tried didn’t quite meet our expectations, but the overall experience was still excellent. Special mention to the staff—the service is warm and attentive, and they take the time to explain each dish and answer any questions.

Found this place intersting with the reviews and what they offer on menu..and went on to try. To begin with the ambience wasn't great when we compare to aesthetically structured bangalore resturant now a days ..but honestly somewhere I knew this could be a hint that food ould be good as there were so many reviews and good rating . Started ordering the food and with first starter(wonton soup- PS :it's not soup) knew it would be good ,then we ordered asparagus sushi - now that was a bit low on taste as compared to what we had eaten before and we have feedback too..and waiter was sweet enough to get the chef and speak to us ..and after that they gave us complimentary bao and dessert on house ~ which was really sweet of them. And ramen (mushroom) was the best I ever had.

JW Kitchen, located within the elegant JW Marriott Hotel, is a popular spot offering all-day global dining experiences. The restaurant features an open buffet for lunch, Sunday brunch, and an a la carte menu with a focus on Indian, Italian, and continental cuisine. Guests can also enjoy watching chefs prepare food from scratch in the open kitchen. Known for its variety and quality, JW Kitchen is praised for its pleasing service and outstanding decor.
It is very convenient to have a versatile restaurant like JW kitchen in the hotel. The services are fantastic. All the ordered food like dosa, Omelette and pancakes will be sent to the table. There was a wide selection of food as well. Just the taste of the food might be improved. I first thought it might be my taste need to be more oriented to Indian food. But after tried a couple other Indian restaurants, my personal opinion was maybe the restaurant could provide more other protein options besides omelet, chick pea and fish. I am glad that there are choices of fish and chicken in the breakfast, just the taste was a bit too bland to my taste. I didn’t try the dinner buffet. So my review maybe very limited. Again I love the service as everyone was so friendly with smiles and enlightened my day.

Opted this place to celebrate birthday ! Had been for dinner and hands down one of the worst places to dine in. The waiter who attend us was pretty new to the job I guess , I felt there could have been some assistance to him. Literally waited for more than 30 mins to get the first order on tables. Their food was not at all tasty , not worth the over price. Tomato soup was too salty. Makai kebab was good. Noddles was average. Biryani rice was not cooked completely. Baby corn chilly tastes average. Their complimentary mocktail were worst and all just artificial stuffs. At last the manager came and said sorry for the unsatisfactory service and as a compliment you can have deserts from the buffet section. My only point is why do you charge so much when you can keep up the standards , in return don’t always go with providing complimentary stuffs rather work on improving your standard of service.
Charan R — Google review
Just to clarify, the same type of food might have made the rating 3 at-least but there is expectations associated with brand like JW and if you are charging me Rs 1300 -1400 per dish then there has to be some wow factor… but I think the real let down was the service and that not just brought the rating down but I don’t think I would recommend to visit them for food at-least… So this was at 10:15 pm on a weekday and first issue was we were given a table without any napkins and plates with marks !!! Again note that I am picky here as I am paying premium for this experience.. the place was not too busy but they had a running buffet and I think they expected everyone to go for that instead of à la carte order… anyway this should not be the excuse We ordered just three dishes, the appetizer: Mazze platter and as main course: spaghetti arriabiatta and pasta funghi.. first issue they got everything together, which makes no sense so we had to send the pasta back to be put in warmer while we enjoy the platter. Then about the food: - the mazze platter: very dry pita bread, and out of 4 dips two very very very average - pasta funghi: this looked like made from powdered cream… though taste wise this was Ok - spaghetti arrabiata : this was ok as well, nothing too great though.. The mocktails they gave were very good though and also the garlic bread that came with the pasta were very nice We ended up getting most of the pastas packed for home and there came the worst ending, the server packed the bread along with pasta in same box!!! On questioning (cause this will mess up the bread) another server took it back and said she will take care, only for us to realize after reaching home that she removed the bread!! So the only GOOD thing was just taken OUT and thrown!!!! Overall, very unhappy with our decision to eat at the J W Kitchen .. maybe buffet was good but I don’t care, either stop service à la carte or serve it well.. at-least that is what we deserve for paying the premium price.
Abhinav S — Google review
The place offers a great ambiance that instantly sets the mood for a fine dining experience. It boasts an impressive variety of non-vegetarian dishes, mostly focused on continental cuisine, which meat lovers will definitely appreciate. However, it's quite a letdown for vegetarians — with only two vegetarian starters on the menu, options are extremely limited. Another drawback is the live kitchen setup. While the concept is appealing, there’s no display or information about what's available, leaving guests guessing what can be ordered. Additionally, the pricing feels steep for the overall offering, especially considering the limited vegetarian choices and lack of transparency at the live counters. Overall, a good spot for non-veg lovers who enjoy a premium ambiance, but not recommended for vegetarians or those looking for value for money.

One of the most lavish buffet spreads you will find, and a wide variety of cuisines within a single buffet. Worth a visit with family and friends for that special occasion. Great ambience, good service and good for large family groups. Amazing dessert selection, impossible to do justice to the variety.
Murari S — Google review
The breakfast buffet spread is incredibly diverse. Love getting my Mysore masala dosa fix with my filtered coffee The staff are really friendly and we've been here for dinner as well. The bartender even went to get large ice cubes for my old fashioned from another bar to satisfy my preference.
S S — Google review
Nowhere did it match JW standards. The buffet spread was quite limited — just 2 starters, 1 curry, 1 biryani, dal, South Indian rice, and a few local dessert options. Even the salad section had only a handful of choices.Guess what ,it was a weekend night. Overall, it was far below expectations and didn’t compare even to regular BBQ joints in town like Barbeque Nation or Absolute Barbecue. Any other similar brands like JW. Will have pizza ,pasta , Ice cream, Sandwich, pav bhaji. ITC was much better experience.

🌿 Review Title: “A Terminal that truly reflects the Spirit of Bengaluru – A Garden in the Sky!” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stepping into Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport feels less like walking into an airport and more like entering a serene garden filled with life, art, and tranquility. The concept of a “Terminal in a Garden” is beautifully realized lush vertical gardens, indoor ponds, and natural light filtering through skylights make the entire experience calming and refreshing. The architecture uses warm natural materials like bamboo and stone, creating an earthy and elegant charm that instantly connects with Bengaluru’s identity as the Garden City. Even during rush hours, the terminal feels open, green, and soothing. The art installations inspired by Karnataka’s culture, the curated Naurasa theme, and the fragrance of plants in the walkways all make this space feel emotionally rich not just functional. Technologically, it’s top-notch: smooth check-ins with DigiYatra, efficient baggage handling, clear signage, and courteous staff who maintain exceptional standards. The cleanliness and maintenance are truly world-class. It’s no surprise that T2 has earned UNESCO’s Prix Versailles recognition for its design and interior , it’s a perfect blend of sustainability, culture, and innovation. Rainwater harvesting systems, solar energy use, and eco-friendly materials make it a model for green airports globally. Overall, T2 is not just a gateway to Bengaluru it’s a proud reflection of India’s vision for sustainable, art-infused infrastructure. A must-see for every traveller. 🌸 Verdict: A world-class terminal where nature meets technology. Truly deserving of every bit of praise!

Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore is one of the most well-managed and modern airports in India. The infrastructure is excellent, with clean surroundings, efficient security checks, and clear signages guiding passengers through every step—from entry to boarding. The airport’s interiors are spacious and aesthetically designed, making travel comfortable even during peak hours. One of the most convenient features of Bangalore Airport is its reliable and affordable transportation service located at the basement of the departure gate Many travelers often rush to book high-priced cabs from outside the terminal, but if you are on a tight budget, it’s worth trying the transportation options available downstairs. These include airport shuttle services and public transport connections that are punctual, safe, and well-maintained. The staff there are also quite helpful in guiding passengers to their preferred mode of travel. Food courts, rest areas, and retail outlets are neatly organized and offer a variety of choices. The cleanliness of washrooms and waiting lounges adds to the overall positive experience. Wi-Fi connectivity is stable, and charging points are available throughout the terminal. Overall, Bangalore Airport delivers an impressive combination of comfort, efficiency, and accessibility. Whether you are a frequent flyer or a first-time visitor, the airport’s seamless operations and affordable travel options make it one of the best in the country. If you’re budget-conscious, skip the expensive cabs and try the basement transport service—you’ll save money without compromising convenience.

Kempegowda International Airport is one of India’s most modern, efficient, and rapidly expanding aviation hubs. From the moment you arrive, the airport stands out for its clean design, intuitive layout, and lush landscaping — a breath of fresh air compared to many other urban airports. The newly added Terminal 2 (T2), also called the “Garden Terminal,” is stunning. With living plant walls, open spaces, and an architectural design that brings nature indoors, it offers a calming and upscale experience. It’s well-ventilated, naturally lit, and filled with art installations that reflect Karnataka’s cultural heritage. The check-in and security processes are generally streamlined and tech-friendly, with digital kiosks and helpful staff. Shopping and dining options are well-curated — from Indian street food to international coffee chains and fine dining. The lounge facilities, especially 080 and Above Ground Levell, are spacious and well-stocked, offering a great space to relax or work before your flight. Transportation to and from the airport is straightforward, with ample taxi, BMTC Vayu Vajra buses, and airport shuttle services available. BLR is also now connected to the city by the new metro station at the terminal entrance — a huge upgrade for frequent travelers. The airport is still expanding, so occasional construction or detours may occur, but nothing too inconvenient. Overall, BLR Airport delivers a top-tier passenger experience — clean, green, efficient, and visually beautiful. It’s setting a high benchmark for Indian airports.

The airport is exceptionally clean, well-managed, and visually stunning. From the moment you enter, the process is seamless—self check-in and baggage drop are efficient, and the staff are courteous and helpful throughout. The interior design beautifully blends modern minimalism with subtle touches of tradition and cultural elegance. The space is expansive, offering a wide variety of food outlets and shopping options. While the food tends to be on the pricier side, the quality and experience more than justify the cost.

Kempegowda International Airport Terminal 2 is new terminal in bangalore, in my opinion it’s one of the best airports in the country with facilities, design as well as ease of access, through DigiYatra it’s seamless , The detailing is also done very carefully, brown colour tone with greens make it more appealing, usual false ceiling have been replaced with ceiling which resembles bamboo , I wonder why architect chosed bamboo for a place like bangalore but amazingly detailed. In the case of connection between the terminals there is bus every 10 minutes

KIA Bangalore is truly one of the best-maintained airports in India. The cleanliness, service quality, and overall maintenance are outstanding. The interior design is modern yet warm, with lots of greenery and open spaces that make it feel refreshing and unique compared to most airports. The staff are polite, helpful, and efficient, and everything from check-in to boarding is smooth and well-organized. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the airport running at such a high standard. If the airport metro line comes through in the future, it’s going to boom like anything — connectivity will take this already world-class airport to another level! Only wish there were a few more budget-friendly food options in the international departure area, as most eateries are on the pricier side. Overall, KIA stands out for its design, service, and cleanliness — easily one of the best airport experiences in the country! ✈️🌿✨
