The Monal is a renowned restaurant in Islamabad, Pakistan, offering incredible views of the entire city. It is one of the many dining options available in the capital, alongside other popular restaurants and cafes such as Qishmich Restaurant, Manhattan Steak House, Sakura Japanese Restaurant, and Tuscany Courtyard. Aqs Restaurant stands out not only for its delectable food but also for its art gallery featuring beautiful paintings.
Definitely, Monal was on the top list to dine out with beautiful scenery in capital Islamabad. Adventurer road, awesome service, good food worth the money. I've been there 3 times, very much satisfied with food and services. Will be missed. the restaurant is closed in 2025.
Shahzad M — Google review
*"Absolutely loved dining here! The service was fast and courteous, and the menu had a great variety of dishes to choose from. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the grilled chicken and desserts. The atmosphere was calm and family-friendly. A great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Highly recommended!"*
Zaheer K — Google review
The Monal Islamabad is one of those places you visit not only for the food, but for the complete experience. The panoramic view of Islamabad from the top of Margalla Hills is unmatched — especially around sunset or night when the city lights come on. The food is consistently good, portions are decent, and there’s a good variety in the menu for almost every taste (Pakistani, BBQ, Continental etc.). Service is generally fast considering how busy the place usually is, and the staff is polite and attentive. Parking and getting up the hill can get crowded, especially on weekends, so it’s better to go a bit early. Reservations are also recommended on peak days. Overall — great ambiance, good food, excellent views — worth visiting with family or friends.
Majid H — Google review
This is a very good hotel, I can't praise it enough Great view, great management and service. Despite being so busy on a weekend, they managed it well. Hats off to the management. Not only did we get parking easily, but the table was also free. They have deployed their staff from a 3 km range to help and guide the traffic and keep it in the lane. We tried their fish and sandwiches. The taste was also good.
Akbar S — Google review
Very good view point, Very good management and services. Despite being so much rushy on the weekend they managed it soo well. Hatsoff to the management. We not only got the parking easily, Also got the table vacant too. They have appointed their staff from 3 KM range to help and guide the traffic and to keep them in lane. We tried their fish and sandwiches. Taste was good as well.

"Your restaurant is truly exceptional! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and every detail shows your passion and hard work. I really appreciate the excellent service and the effort you put into making every guest feel special. It’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!"

Monal Restaurant offers breathtaking views with a perfect blend of traditional and modern cuisine. The food quality, ambiance, and service truly make it a memorable dining experience. A must-visit spot for families and friends.
Qadeer R — Google review
The Monal Restaurant Here’s a summary review of The Monal Restaurant in Islamabad — what made it special, what its drawbacks were, and where things stand now. --- ✅ What people liked The view: Many reviewers gush about the panoramic view of Islamabad you get while dining at The Monal — a major draw. Ambience & location: The hill-top setting (on the Margalla Hills National Park / Pir Sohawa area) built a memorable, almost “destination restaurant” feel. Diverse menu & good food (some reports): Several reviews say the menu was extensive (Pakistani + international) and some dishes stood out. Service & amenities: Parking/valet help, outdoor seating, family-friendly setups were often noted positively. --- ⚠️ What people complained about Price: Many felt it was expensive, especially compared to local options. Food & service inconsistencies: Some users reported slower service, or food not matching expectations. > “Tbh it will be waste of ur time and money if u r considering visiting monal one last time… Monal disappointed us so much…” Crowds & waiting: Because of its popularity, there were complaints about long wait times and difficulty getting tables without reservation. Environmental & location concerns: There were criticisms that the restaurant’s setting on protected land was problematic. --- 🕒 Current status The restaurant announced closure of its Islamabad location on 11 September 2024 following a court order related to its operation within the national park. Because of this, it’s not entirely clear whether the original location is still operating in the same capacity. Some sources say it was demolished. If you plan to visit, I strongly recommend confirming its operational status before going. --- 🎯 My verdict If I had to give a rating based on user feedback: Ambience & location: 9/10 — excellent setting. Food & value: 6–7/10 — good in places, but some inconsistency and pricey. Service & experience: 7/10 — generally positive, but the crowd and wait times were a drawback. If it were still operating exactly as before, I’d say: Excellent place for a special occasion (especially for the view), but not necessarily the best for everyday casual meal (given cost and waiting). Given the closure announcement though, check current status. --- If you like, I can check for any alternative restaurants in Islamabad with similar views (and maybe better value) and send you a short list. Do you want that?

Tuscany Courtyard Islamabad

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Tuscany Courtyard, located in Kohsar Market, F-6, Islamabad, is a renowned Italian restaurant offering an authentic dining experience. The interior boasts Italian-inspired design with large windows while the outdoor area exudes a charming cafe vibe and the rooftop resembles a courtyard. Guests can enjoy picturesque views of the Margalla hills while savoring delectable meals made with high-quality ingredients. The restaurant's enchanting courtyard setting features a fountain and lush greenery, adding to its allure.
"Tuscany Courtyard Islamabad is a hidden gem! Authentic Italian cuisine, charming ambiance, and excellent service make it a must-visit. Delicious pasta dishes, pizzas, and steaks await. Perfect for a romantic evening or special occasion. A delightful escape from urban life, serving up warm hospitality and Italian flavors."
Coolcat — Google review
Never Again!!! The restaurant I originally wanted to visit had a 45-minute wait, so rather than waste time, I decided to try Tuscany instead—a colossal mistake. At 12:15 PM on a Saturday, Tuscany was completely empty. Still, I remained optimistic, given its reputation as a well-known establishment in Kohsar Market. From start to finish, the experience was deeply disappointing. By the end, I was downright frustrated. Appetizers were a mess: wilted lettuce in the salad drenched in dressing to cover up its lack of freshness (which it didn’t), soup with a strange taste, soggy buffalo wings, and bland calamari. Even the garlic bread came in broken pieces—hard not to suspect it had been reheated and reused. Unfortunately, the main courses were no better. The pizza had an odd smell and an unappetizing appearance. The chicken was as tough as leather. The pasta looked like it was made with canned sauce and some hastily added seasoning. The steak was equally tough—comparable to cowhide. I asked for the bill as soon as the last dish hit the table and left everything largely untouched. Paid and walked out.

Charming Experience at Tuscany Courtyard, Islamabad! I recently visited Tuscany Courtyard in Islamabad, and it was a delightful experience! The ambiance was lovely, with a comfortable temperature inside the sitting area, complemented by soft, light music that enhanced the atmosphere. They also offer outdoor seating with wind coolers, perfect for warmer days. We ordered the Tea Platter, which was not only delicious but also incredibly reasonable for two people. The platter came with a variety of items, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend Tuscany Courtyard for both family and bachelor gatherings. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is top-notch! Rating: 4/5 stars

Had a chance to visit recently. Ambiance was beautiful, atmosphere were chilled 👌 and hygiene, food was perfectly cooked but quantity was not enough with price. Deserts was so sweet and made the lunch complete.
Alez N — Google review
Visited this place with high hopes, but it didn’t quite deliver. The steak was bland and lacked seasoning, and the texture was too chewy to enjoy. Definitely expected more flavor and tenderness. Disappointing overall.
Hassan D — Google review
Tried this place for something sweet and chai after lunch. Glad to have actually come across this place.. everything was very delicious. Loved it The service was a bit slow but it was peak time and the place was full so it was obv okay.
Sabrina C — Google review
The pastas are so mid. Fettuccine Alfredo litr tastes like flour and was overcooked. Chicken parmigiana was okayish but way too dry. Their starters are nice. Jalapeno grilled chicken is full of taste 9/10. The pizzas are not authentic italian styled since the restaurant is Italian but it tastes good. overall i would give it a 6/10
Maryam — Google review
My experience wasn't that great.we ordered T.bone steak & fish & chips.the fish was without any seasoning , totally tasteless & was too overdone with crumbs which were stiff to bite .steak was o.k but should have been cut & presented well, was a little chewy.fries served were dry & not fit for eating !! .the pina colada was all water.no taste . Things were over priced too. Overall a Big NO for me in future.

Excellent hi-tea, I’d rate it 9/10. The only drawback is the serving area — it feels a bit scrambled and people rush in as if food might run out. Other than that, the food, hygiene, and overall experience are on point. The margarita is quite filling, so pace yourself with it. Perfect ambiance and a great spot if you’re a Chinese food lover. Bonus: they’ll happily bring you more jumbo prawns if you ask!

Visited for the hi-tea buffet and had a great experience. Although the restaurant was fully booked, we managed to get a table. I was initially concerned about the crowd affecting service, but everything was handled very smoothly. Started with their special soup, which was flavorful and fresh. The sushi and maki rolls were fresh and delicious. Also tried veg tempura, chicken wings, and meatballs, all filled with taste. The main course included fried rice, garlic rice, Kung Pao fish, oyster beef, cashew nut chicken, and chili dry chicken. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Bonus: unlimited refills of margarita at the table🥰 Staff were extremely attentive despite the rush. Impressed with the overall service and management. Definitely a place worth visiting again. Highly recommended

Beverly branch The food quality was very good ,delicious, with rich flavours and perfectly cooked. The seating can feel cramped or congested during busy hours. Also, the noise level can be high when many people are dining. Reservations required otherwise you have to wait in queue in the busy hours.
Natasha A — Google review
I had a wonderful experience at Asian Woaks with their hi tea buffet. The service and portion sizes were impressive. We were welcomed with a refreshing mint drink, which was even refilled later. Soon after, we enjoyed some complimentary sushi. The milk cake was absolutely delicious and a real highlight of the meal. The staff were warm, courteous, and attentive throughout our visit. The only downside was that the seating area felt quite cramped and noisy, somewhat like a lively wedding celebration.
Naveed A — Google review
Asian Wok by Monal They continue to be number 1 & top of the list in their food, service, atmosphere & courtesy. It has been my general observation that the restaurants which are full of customers usually take longer times in service, but Asian Wok defies my observation with their best & time seevice. They offered complimentary Maragatittas, Fish Crackers & Green Tea. Chinese or Thai; they seeve the original taste & mouth watering cuisine Highly recommended Slightly pricy yet affordable. Plus they have discounts on various Debit / Credit Cards so must make use of that. Happy Fine Dining👏🏻👏🏻
Syed B — Google review
Went for dinner and it was quite busy, but we were seated quickly, which was a good start. The refillable mint margaritas were a refreshing touch, especially in the summer. Our server was helpful in explaining the menu and advising on portion sizes. The food was fresh and generally very good. However, the special chowmein had an unusual seafood-like flavor that didn’t pair well with the dish, we would’ve preferred a standard chicken chowmein. The fish we ordered was more like a soup than a gravy-based dish, which was unexpected. Overall, a pleasant experience with good service, though a bit more guidance on the menu would have improved it. I think they just need to work a little bit more on the ‘flavoring’.

Restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque Margalla hills, La Montana Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating. Specializing in Asian and Pakistani cuisine, particularly barbecue, this restaurant has gained a strong reputation for its delectable buffet spread. The scenic views of Islamabad from its location at Pir Sohawa make it an ideal spot to savor a meal with loved ones.
The closure of restaurants in national park areas by the Government of Pakistan reflects a commitment to preserving the environment and protecting natural ecosystems. While it’s disappointing for food lovers who enjoyed these scenic dining spots, the decision emphasizes the importance of conservation. Such actions highlight the balance between development and environmental responsibility, ensuring that national parks remain pristine for future generations.

Went for a high tea, such a nice view, and the food was awesome. Unfortunately, they have shifted their location now. Service is very quick and fast

1) In summer, it's not a good option to visit this place due to heat waves, especially in brunch buffet. 2) Place is good. 3) various varieties of dishes. 4) plenty of parking. 5) The taste of food was good. 6) free discounted voucher upon next visit. 7) Children under 5 years of age are free. 8)Good place for photography. 9) In 2022, it cost 5000 Rs for 3 people. people with little pocket should avoid this place. I am not sure about the current rates of buffet. 10) In winter, outdoor weddings on open areas are unbelievable. Outstanding. If you can afford it, you can book mehendi hall/outdoor.

One of the best places that I have visited in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. They offer a great taste at an affordable price. I just love the location of the restaurant near the monal. I would recommend everyone to visit this restaurant in Islamabad for quality food. I am sure, you would love this restaurant.

Good Experience. In 2019, I went there multiple times to have Buffet Dinner Offer (Week Day Offer - 2 People in 2000 Rupees - Including Tax). Most of their Items Very Good. Bar B Q is Tasty and Main Items were Tasty.

I visited la montna last week with my family for hi-tea. I had the best experience with quality food and beautiful view. I'll share their menu as well. Every thing was top class except their welcome drink. They mentioned that they will serve nestle drink but they served peach flavour tang i guess or may be they mixed water in peach flavour juice. I don't know but it wasn't worth drinking. We asked them to change it but they didn't. So we ordered mint margrita for ourselves In general, I'll totally recommend ya'all to visit this place. You will definitely love it. Price- Very reasonable✅ Staff- Cooperative✅ Atmosphere- Amazing✅
Aqsa M — Google review
Firstly it's located at a wonderful site. You can see the whole upper view of Islamabad and Rawalpindi as well. Secondly it offers best quality food. It's also recommended for a quick bite. I visited this place multiple times and enjoyed a lot. Every type of food is fantastic. I recommend you to visit this place once. Excellent dinner, excellent weather, cool breeze. Buffet was reasonable. Prices are higher than what is shown in advertisements. They show it 1199 plus tax but the effective rate is around 1700 per head as water and cold drinks are separately charged and that too on very high rate of around 165 per head each. The variety of items in buffet is also not too much to give it five star. Parking space is also very limited but they provide valet parking.
Charlie — Google review
Its all about view, everything is normal, probably below the normal but only charging for view (because of location). I had buffet in Ramadan but except chicken wings and sweets nothing else was good. Chicken: not cooked well Mutton : instead of 10g salt they cooked it with probably 30-40g salt Samosa: not fresh, sour taste I dont recommend this restaurant.

Nestled in Sector E-11, this eatery is particularly famous for its delightful hi-tea sessions. The restaurant’s decor is a feast for the eyes, blending modern chic with rustic charm through colorful patterns and artistic touches that make it perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy moments.

As for the food, while a bit on the expensive side, it's still good enough to enjoy.

While visiting Saidpur village, stopped at this wonderful restaurant. Very well decorated with flowers and flags of many countries including mine. Had a cup of tea only. Great service and friendly staff. This restaurant has a private dining room for privacy if needed.

The desi food was delicious. We ordered achari handi and reshmi seekh kebab, which were melt in your mouth yummy. A cheese pizza was not as good. The ambience is lovely. Service was slow even though it wasn't busy.
Saman A — Google review
Lovely atmosphere with some standout dishes Des Pardes has a beautiful, unique vibe. When we arrived, there were small boutique stalls selling handmade jewellery and honey, and a musician playing live flute which set such a charming tone. The lighting and ambience were perfect, a real 10/10 setting. The food had some highlights too. The Afghan Qabuli Pulao was delicious and the paratha was honestly the best I’ve had in years. The Desi Murgh was undercooked at first, but the staff did correct it quickly, even if it lost a little of its flavour the second time. Service was friendly but stretched since the place was busy. Still, the atmosphere and a few standout dishes really carried the experience. If you’re looking for a memorable setting with some gems on the menu, it’s worth visiting.

This restaurent is in saidpur village islamabad and we had iftaar buffet here along with family. The BBQ was awesome 👌 along with mutton karahi. The fish fry was just ok. The overall taste for the buffet was good. Price was reasonable as well 3500 per person and we had 2 child's aged 9 and 3 which were waived off. Also the ambiance was good at night 🌙 The washroom was way way far and should be inside the restaurent.

Ox & Grill Steakhouse in Islamabad offers an exquisite yet affordable dining experience. The menu features signature dishes like Louisiana Chicken, Ox & Grill special Steak, and Chicken Crunch Burger, as well as classic favorites like Chicken Parmesan. The restaurant's cozy ambiance and delightful dishes have received high praise from customers. Located in the luxurious Serena building at street level, the red-dominated venue boasts a chic setting with marble floors and distinctive decor.
Ox & Grill Steakhouse exceeded my expectations! The steak was cooked to perfection, with a nice char on the outside and tender, juicy goodness on the inside. The pasta dishes were flavorful and satisfying, with a great balance of spices and herbs. The wings were also a highlight, with a delicious blend of spices that added a nice kick. The ambiance was welcoming and cozy, with a warm atmosphere that made me feel right at home. But what really impressed me was the service - attentive, polite, and efficient, with friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure I had a great dining experience. Highly recommend for steak lovers and anyone looking for a great dining experience in Islamabad! 5/5 stars without a doubt!

"Just devoured an unforgettable meal at Ox & Grill Steakhouse! 🥩👌 The steak was absolute perfection - charred to a tee on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender within. Pasta dishes were a flavor bomb, wings were spicy perfection, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. But the real MVP? The service! Friendly staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home. 5/5 stars and highly recommended for steak enthusiasts and foodies alike!

The food was overall quite good, flavourful, well prepared, well presented, and satisfying. However, the ambience needs improvement. The atmosphere felt a bit dull and could really benefit from a refresh or some thoughtful touches to make the dining experience more enjoyable.

Went there during a short trip to ISL without knowing anything about it. Got the ox special steak. Pretty decent steak with some spicy sauce. The mash is terrible so get fries. The ambiance and the service was exceptional. There was an amazing smell of steak in the house so you instantly get the feeling it's gonna be good one. The waiters were trained kind and quick Overall 8.3/10

Had the Special Steak Platter at Ox & Grill, and it was a fantastic experience! Highly recommend the special platter if you want to try a bit of everything in one meal!

I’ve been to Ox & Grill’s Bahria Town Phase 4 and Murree Road, Saddar branches many times and always enjoyed them, but my first visit to the F-7 branch was a bit disappointing. The place felt overcrowded, poorly lit, and the seating was awkward. On top of that, a birthday party had just ended and the area was still messy when we arrived. We were seated quickly and got our drinks, which were the only real highlight. The Buffalo Wings were overly sour, the ranch sauce runny and flavorless, and the chicken was both dry and over-sauced. The chicken steak was also dry with just average sauce, while the beef steak was the biggest letdown, served dry, tasting old, and not cooked medium-well as requested. I had ordered the Shiitake Mushroom Beef Steak. Overall, this branch does not match the standards of the others. I wouldn’t recommend F-7; Bahria Town or Saddar are much better options.

A place that is invaluable! For any Harry Potter fan, this place is the best thing ever!!! From the Themed interior to the menu, everything's a Potter head's dream. The floating candles, the ministry of magic phone booth, the stairs that creek!!!! (taking me straight to the third book of Harry Potter), the hanging chandeliers, the wall with a page of the books printed on it!, the door, the hats, the cloaks, and sooooo much more. I'm just overwhelmed by the beauty and magic of this place. They've succeeded in capturing the essence of what the Harry potter universe is like. The cafe is a screaming embodiment of the emotion you ahve while watching the movies and reading the books. Magical I tell you! The food was good but I wish the portion size was bigger! But I forgive all for the ambiance and only the ambiance. I wish it sees lots of business and much much more success.

I do not recommend this place, I ordered Thai Beef Salad. The item did not match the description, they used raw leftover materials. As you can see in the pic there was a small slim stone in the food too. I through it away. complained to manager sameer abbassi, got a poor response from him.

The food is just average, but the Harry Potter inspired theme is really creative and enjoyable. The decor and ambiance make it a fun place to visit, especially for fans of the series.

Bar B.Q. Tonight

Pakistani restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Islamabad's Blue Area, Bar B.Q. Tonight is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Pakistani cuisine. This culinary gem has carved out a niche for itself as a leader in the BBQ scene, offering an array of mouthwatering grilled meats and succulent kebabs that are marinated to perfection and cooked over open flames.
This is the best BBQ restaurant across Islamabad. They serve the finest meats, ideally seasoned, perfectly grilled, and full of flavor. Their specialty is the grilled items and that’s the recommended item to be ordered. The grilled menu has a decent variety of items in all three types of meat. They also have other items including curries which are decent. The best part is their fast service which enhances the experience. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available and they have the capacity to accommodate all size of groups. They accept payment by cash and card, while they also have discounts available on different bank cards all the time. There is a free parking lot outside the restaurant which is usually very busy while there are plenty of free parking options available on the adjacent service road. They do have vegetarian options on the menu. This restaurant is also child friendly and they do have items on menu for children. The restaurant has ramps and is wheelchair accessible. You can inform the serving staff regarding dietary restrictions and they will help ordering items aligning with those restrictions. Highly Recommended Restaurant.

Absolutely loved dining here! The food is consistently awesome and up to the mark. The ambience is very cool and creates a great atmosphere for a meal out. Prices are reasonable, not too high, which is a big plus. One thing to note is that it's always crowded, so be prepared to wait or book in advance. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I'd highly recommend!

Food is top notch. from chicken handi to mutton ribs, BBQ items like behari boti, chicken malai boti are also good. Palak paneer is personal favourite. Do check before going there on weekends as it can get rushy and its hard to find the table. Improvements: Need to create separations inside the main hall as it gets very noisy and distance between tables needs to be increased as it gets uncomfortable at times.
Wasif M — Google review
The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. Although it's a bit on the pricier side, the quality makes it worthwhile. Highlights included the tender and juicy mutton leg and ribs, as well as the flavorful Chicken Karachi. The only drawback was the portion size, which seemed a bit small.
Muhammad A — Google review
Visited it after a long time and somewhat disappointed. Location and ambiance is very good and well maintained. Chicken Charga and Reshmi kabab’s were good but chicken karhai was just ok. Very poor quality plastic plates and dishes. Fresh lime was served in a broken glass. Hope this will help them improve.

If u want to have Lahori kind of taste in mid of Islamabad, BBQ tonight is place ro visit. Although their service is slightly slow but if the ambition is Lahori taste, they go for Desi food.
Nauman C — Google review
While the restaurant may offer a pleasant ambiance, the experience was diminished by the perceived overpricing and subpar food quality. The Chicken Karahi and Chicken Tikka Boti, two dishes that are often considered staples in Pakistani cuisine and should be reliably delicious, did not meet expectations. This suggests a potential disconnect between the restaurant's perceived value and its actual offerings, leaving customers feeling like they didn't get their money's worth.

Disappointment, Oonchi dukaan pheeka pakwan, There might be different views as per everyone own taste and interaction. To me, they are off taste., no to average. Read menu carefully, we ordered mutton karahi and when served I thought they might misunderstood it for half but no their only serving is 600 grams and charges are like 1kg. It's okay we misunderstood but taste in mutton is hard to taste. Literally, I never had such a low quality highly priced servings. In addition we ordered beef tikka boti, believe me wasn't worth trying. Or you can according to your taste. At last I can only say, highly priced with no to average taste. (Average Ty mou cho nikal gya, no he samjho). Service was polite and welcoming.

Restaurant
Atrio Café & Grill is a culinary gem in Islamabad, celebrated for its impressive array of seafood dishes that cater to discerning palates. The menu boasts an enticing selection, featuring highlights like Herb Butter Red Snapper and Fried Seafood Platters, all crafted with the freshest ingredients and expert techniques. Beyond seafood, diners can indulge in BBQ items, biryani, steaks, and delightful desserts. One of the standout features of Atrio is its charming rooftop café experience.
I recently dined at Atrio in Islamabad and was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the service. The Chicken Chilli Dry was bursting with flavor, and the Tarragon Chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Blue Lagoon Mojito was refreshing, and the Onion Rings were crispy and delicious. Even the soft drinks complemented the meal well. The staff was courteous, and the overall dining experience was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it a perfect spot for a meal with friends or family. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great dining experience in Islamabad!

Nice place to eat and dine in with a good view of Marglla hills. But they need to improve food serving size. They serve insufficient amount, small portion you cant fill your appetite with single burger costing 800 to 1000 rupees. Same goes for steaks and Adana kebabs, You can get better at Hardees with the same amount.
Avais G — Google review
I recently visited this cafe, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The food was bland and lacked any real flavor, leaving me dissatisfied. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude. When I politely asked for canceling some of the item exactly after the order of 2 mints they directly rejected that we can not cancel , the server rolled their eyes and barely acknowledged my request. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority here. I won’t be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good food or decent service. I have spend 15k+ for nothing.
Taimoor K — Google review
Coming to Atrio has always been a pleasure as it’s one of those Go to places. However, lately I’ve noticed there’s been a slight decline in their service and atmosphere. The waiters used to be friendly and welcoming and now it’s kind of as if they want you to leave. Whenever I come they don’t let us sit upstairs outside or in their inner space on top floor, regardless of the time. Thankfully their food is still good.
Bilal H — Google review
Overall good food at a reasonable price but service was too slow , rooftop ambiance was nice
Najia M — Google review
It is a waste of money and not meeting any expectations from the menu or descriptions. A steak is dark brown and thick. This ribeye was pathetic and small and way too expensive for not even being true 100% beef. I don't even know if this is beef. All listed side item portions were so tiny as well. This steak dish in the photo was about 3,000. I regret spending my money here.
Liz M — Google review
The food here was one of the best I have tasted in a while especially the pasta. The pasta seemed very unique, well at least my first time eating it this way wrapped in a bun and all. The chicken Mexican was also well made, not too spicy or tasteless. The molten lava cake was great as well and all under reasonable prices. The place did seem a bit congested Maybe there was more room on the rooftop but on the first floor it was a bit tight and quite humid as well. Nevertheless the service here was great, everything served on time and very professional. Things were freshly made and tasted great. Would definitely revisit to try out more items.
Abdullah A — Google review
The ambiance is beautiful, same goes for the way the food looks in camera, and the service was great. Unfortunately the food is some of the worst i have ever tried, chowmein was insanely tasteless, while the steak was so rubbery that it wasn't cuttable from the fork given, for whatever reason, the cook had some beef with salt, as there was simply none of it in the food, felt like it was made for blood pressure patients. On the other hand, the juices(raspberry, blueberry and pomegranate) were very nice and the mushroom soup was very tasty though, overall they really need to work on their steaks and especially chowmein.

Thai restaurant
Yum Chinese & Thai is a top choice for an authentic Thai dining experience in Islamabad and Lahore. The restaurant offers expertly crafted dishes with bold spices and delicate herbs, creating a harmonious blend of flavors reminiscent of the vibrant streets of Bangkok. In Islamabad, Yum Chinese & Thai is known for its renowned lunch buffet featuring a delectable array of Chinese and Thai dishes.
A Delicious Experience at Yum Yum Restaurant! We had a wonderful experience at Yum Yum Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful décor and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. We went for the buffet and were amazed by the wide variety of food on offer—something to suit every taste, and everything we tried was delicious. A special mention to the manager, Iklaas Abassi, who was very professional and ensured everything ran smoothly. They also offer a high tea, which was a real treat! An amazing selection of sweet delights, beautifully presented and absolutely scrumptious. We also popped into the gift shop, where we were helped by Tayab Qurshid—he was very helpful and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. The only minor drawback was that the blinds were down, so we missed out on enjoying the outside scenery. But overall, that didn’t take away from what was a fantastic visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a lovely setting!

Went to English Tea House for dinner and really enjoyed the food and ambience. The staff was well trained, crockery was crystal clean, and the food was very yummy. Will definitely be going there again soon.

One of our favourite places to go for breakfast and hi tea. The service, ambiance and the food is great as always. I liked the staff attitude and responsiveness. The cost is fine for the quality but the quantity of food has to be improved. The hi tea is barely enough for two people. One more advantage is the bank credit card discounts aswell. I totally recommend this place for breakfast amd hi tea.
Dr R — Google review
We had a lovely hi-tea experience at Yum, starting off with a refreshing fresh mint margarita. The buffet had everything one could ask for — from crispy fried chicken, noodles, and rice to flavorful chicken soup, sandwiches, and a variety of desi snacks. The outdoor rooftop seating added to the charm, though sitting outside in the summer heat was a bit tough. Still, the food and ambiance made it a worthwhile visit.
Zkash B — Google review
It is really a good Hi-Tea! The spread is always fine, with a variety of delicious Chinese food, finger foods, sandwiches, and sweet treats. The quality of the food is better in town, and the presentation is always visually appealing. Many like tempura prawns, chicken chilli dry, pizza, sandwiches, and mint margarita. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, making it perfect for catching up with friends or colleagues. The service is also excellent - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. What I appreciate most about Hi-Tea is the generous portions, so you can try a little bit of everything without feeling overwhelmed. Overall, I highly recommend Hi-Tea for a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, they've got you covered. Good place to go back and try more of their offerings!
Imran M — Google review
Overall, I'd say the restaurant excels in atmosphere, but needs to work on its culinary offerings. If they can elevate their food to match the ambiance, they'd have a winning combination! 👍 For now, it's a decent spot for a casual meal, but don't expect anything extraordinary.
Asad ( — Google review
"I visited Yums, and every time I'm there, I fall in love with their Hi-Tea experience. I plan my visits suddenly, and hats off to the Yums team, management, and staff – they're always ready to accommodate their clients. The food is perfect! I started with the fruits, which were fresh and juicy, and the salad was amazing. The golgappay was awesome, and my favorite prawns made me incredibly happy. The wings were very tasty and fresh, and the drumsticks were good too. The pizza and mini burger options for kids were great. The beef items were exceptionally good and tasty – kudos to the chef! Everyone can't handle beef dishes, but the chief at Yums is truly amazing. The ambiance at Yums is my favorite spot. I love sitting on the rooftop, but this time, I sat indoors on the first floor, and it was fantastic. The colors scheme is classy, and the window view with greenery and light music created a perfect atmosphere. There was zero noise, making it an ideal spot to relax. The waiters are cooperative and efficient, covering three tables each, yet they're always available when needed. The cutlery is good, and the front desk staff, particularly the females, are humble and accommodating. I highly recommend Yums to everyone. Guys, you must go and try each dish – don't miss the Hi-Tea experience at Yums. It's truly unforgettable!"

Yum Chinese and Thai is an absolute gem, and I'm so glad I found it. Its location is a huge plus—convenient and easy to get to, making it a perfect spot for a spontaneous dinner or a planned celebration. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The decor is tasteful and modern, striking a perfect balance between a relaxed and upscale feel. It’s the kind of place that’s great for a date night but equally suitable for a family outing, with a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The food, however, is the real star of the show. I started with the Yum Special Soup, and it was a revelation—rich, flavorful, and packed with an incredible variety of ingredients. For the main course, the Chow Min was exceptional, perfectly cooked with a wonderful mix of textures and savory flavors. The quality of the ingredients truly stands out. Beyond the classics, the Thai menu offers a diverse range of options that are just as impressive. I had a fish dish that was cooked to perfection, showcasing the fresh, aromatic spices that are the hallmark of authentic Thai cuisine. Every Thai dish I've tried has been a burst of flavor, from the perfectly balanced curries to the tangy stir-fries. The dedication to quality is evident in every single bite. Overall, Yum Chinese and Thai has quickly become one of my favorite places. The combination of a great location, fantastic ambiance, and truly delicious food—from the comforting Yum Special Soup and Chow Min to the vibrant and flavorful Thai dishes—makes for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality meal in a wonderful setting.

Getting around Islamabad Capital Territory can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Islamabad International Airport

International airport
Islamabad International Airport boasts a modern 180,000 square meter terminal designed to accommodate 9 million passengers and 80,000 tons of cargo annually, with plans to expand to serve 25 million passengers by 2024. The airport features commercial facilities including duty-free shops, a hotel, convention center, shopping malls, business center, food courts and entertainment options. It offers round-the-clock security with strict measures such as full body searches and surveillance cameras.
Islamabad International Airport is modern, clean, and well-organized. The architecture is impressive with spacious terminals, natural lighting, and clear signage. Security checks are efficient, and immigration staff is generally cooperative and polite. Facilities like baggage handling, seating areas, washrooms, prayer rooms, and lounges are well-maintained. The availability of food outlets and currency exchange services makes it convenient for travelers. Parking is ample and accessible. Overall, a great experience for both domestic and international travelers – definitely one of Pakistan’s best airports.
Shafiq E — Google review
I visited Islamabad International Airport recently to drop off my uncle. The overall environment was pleasant and well-organized. The parking area is wide and easy to access, with enough space even during busy hours. There are proper sitting areas where you can wait comfortably, surrounded by green grass and flowers that give a fresh look. The place is neat, clean, and well-maintained. Security checking is smooth and staff are cooperative, which makes the experience better

small airport compared to other asian airports. entry was a bit difficult as i was questioned a lot since i wasnt pakistani. they even did a bag search on me and almost tore my shoes up because it had dust on it from a hike i did in oman. i begged him not to tear my shoes and he finally let it go. exit was easy but check in and security lines are long

It’s a beautiful spacious and so clean airport. Staff is nice n supportive. Services overall are fast and friendly. Wall art near luggage area is just awesome! New amenities and features should be added consistently to make it more convenient and world class.
Maliha M — Google review
Islamabad Airport looks modern at first glance, but the actual experience is disappointing. The parking and outer area are chaotic whether you’re arriving or departing. It’s packed with people and taxi scammers, creating unnecessary stress before you even enter the building. Inside, security checks are slow, and queues are long. The staff at check-in counters are often rude and lack basic customer service. Waiting areas and lounges are not enough for the number of passengers. The worst part is if your flight is delayed, canceled, or diverted. There’s no proper support system. Offices are usually closed, and even when open, staff are unhelpful and arguments are common. Seating is also limited, especially during long waits. On the bright side, the terminal’s architecture is impressive, and the interior is clean and air-conditioned. But sadly, that’s not enough to cover up the major flaws. Overall, this airport needs serious improvement in management, staff behavior, and passenger services.

I visited twice. Once to receive my father's sister who came from Karachi & then my sister's Mother-in-law & Father-in-law as they came back after doing Umrah. Their fans are super air blower honestly. It felt like there are strong winds outside but it was the fan actually. Other than that, I checked both domestic and international receiving/arrivals point. Added all of the images and videos of my visits. Today, it was a bit bad experience because of some taxi drivers when I was trying to park the car. They were like there just to fight. Initially, I remained silent but when I got angry he stopped fighting. Note, do show extreme anger if someone tries to fight. Airport is very good. View is very good. Place is very good. Flower petals are not allowed so please don't bring them as they just put over work on workers. There is a board too with sign of it but still people get them along there. Thanks.
Muhammad W — Google review
A modern and well-maintained airport with clean facilities, helpful staff, and smooth security checks. The architecture is impressive, and services are improving. However, food options and parking management could be better.
