The Dreaming Tree Restaurant

Continental restaurant
Indian restaurant
The Dreaming Tree Restaurant is a delightful gem perched on the rooftop of a three-story building along the road to Shiva Shakti Ashram in Tiruvannamalai. This enchanting venue, designed in a treehouse style, has quickly become a favorite among both locals and travelers over its three years of operation. The restaurant boasts an eclectic menu filled with health-conscious international dishes that are sure to excite your palate.
Here’s a review for The Dreaming Tree Restaurant in Tamil Nadu, highlighting the elements you mentioned: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Dreaming Tree Restaurant is an absolute gem! The vibe is just magical, offering an ambiance that feels like a cozy Rishikesh café, complete with a bohemian touch and a blend of cultures. It’s a wonderful place to relax and soak in the unique atmosphere, with beautiful artwork adorning the walls that adds to the eclectic, soulful setting. The food is outstanding! One of the best places in TN for Pizzas and Organic ingredients based food. Totally surprised by the food quality and quantity. Most vegetables are farmed in their own farms and served. Healthy dishes all throughout the menu, definitely for health-conscious individuals. Paneer butter masala was bang on delicious with so much Paneer. On the contrary, the service was slow and not responsive at all. Place is not so clean, sticky tables and interiors. Mostly thronged by foreigners for the peaceful ambiance it offers. Pretty much near to Ramanar Ashram and Visiri Ashrams. Cards are not acceptable and incurs additional charges. If they improve cleanliness and service, it will be the best 👌finest. Don't miss this hidden gem when you're in Tiruvannamalai.
Hariprasath M — Google review
This place located slightly interior from the main road. Roads leading to this place is narrow and construction is going on (September 25). This place may be famous among the westerners staying at Tiruvannamalai. Pizza is good. If you are looking for continental food, this place is good. Food is slightly expensive. They accept only cash payment, no cards.
Kumaravelu V — Google review
It's a quaint lil restaurant on the top floor of a residential building. Finding the place by itself was a task for us. Let us pupper in the car and went to the restaurant . The interior is beautifully done and the menu is curated carefully to meet the macros. As the town is a temple town, the food here is all vegetarian. There were some vegan options too. Was priced OK for the food, and the time spent here was peaceful.
Vinee P — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Dreaming Tree in Tiruvannamalai, and it was a delightful experience that beautifully blended global flavors with a serene, bohemian ambiance. The meal began with a comforting bowl of soup, rich in flavor and perfect for setting the tone. The Gobi Manchurian was a standout—crispy cauliflower florets tossed in a tangy, spicy sauce that was both satisfying and addictive. The pizza, adorned with fresh vegetables and a perfectly baked crust, showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and authentic taste. The fried rice was another highlight, each grain infused with subtle spices and complemented by a medley of vegetables. The naan and chapati were soft and warm, ideal for pairing with the flavorful channa masala, which boasted a robust, well-balanced spice profile. For dessert, the chocolate cake was a decadent treat—moist, rich, and indulgent. The ice cream, smooth and creamy, provided a refreshing contrast. The fresh juice was vibrant and invigorating, rounding out the meal perfectly. The Dreaming Tree's ambiance is equally noteworthy. The rooftop setting, adorned with eclectic decor and overlooking lush greenery, creates a tranquil environment that enhances the dining experience. The staff were attentive and courteous, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable visit. Overall, The Dreaming Tree offers a diverse menu that caters to various palates, combining traditional Indian dishes with international favorites. The quality of the food, coupled with the inviting atmosphere and excellent service, makes it a must-visit for anyone in Tiruvannamalai. I highly recommend this restaurant to those seeking a memorable culinary experience in a serene setting.

Dreamers tree is a quaint space where you can grab a bite and browse through accessories. The dal fry and rice turned out to be unexpectedly amazing! Shepherd’s pie was hearty, and the orange juice hit just right. A cozy find worth revisiting.
Kumar M — Google review
We had the pleasure of dining at The Dreaming Tree recently, and it truly lived up to its charming name. From the moment we walked in, the cozy, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic meal. We ordered pizza, garlic bread, choco mousse, tiramisu, and lemon tea — and every single bite was extraordinary. The pizza was bursting with flavor, the garlic bread was perfectly crisp and buttery, and the desserts were rich and indulgent without being too heavy. The choco mousse was especially heavenly, and the tiramisu had just the right balance of coffee and cream. The lemon tea was refreshing and rounded off the meal beautifully. We didn’t leave a single crumb! The service was equally impressive. The lady who served us was incredibly polite and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It’s a perfect spot not just for enjoying delicious food, but also for spending quality time — we couldn’t help but think it would be a lovely place for a date night. Highly recommend The Dreaming Tree if you're looking for a place that combines great food, warm service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Naveen K — Google review
Lovely little place we stumbled across while exploring off the Changam road. Stop by for a refreshing vegan Indo-continental cuisine and enjoy the spiritual music in the background. We had the mushroom pizza and the Green Goddess. Yum and rejuvenating.

Nestled conveniently near the main Thiruvanmali East Temple street, Hotel Kanna is a culinary gem that offers an enticing selection of Indian and vegetarian dishes. Guests rave about their flavorful masala dosa, gobi manchurian, and idli, while the sweet pancakes paired with rich coffee and tea are not to be missed. The warm hospitality from the polite staff adds to the inviting atmosphere, making it a popular choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Food Taste and quality is excellent here. I went to this hotel for dinner and lunch while I was in Arunachalam.i love their food especially the taste of south indian meals. Prices are reasonable.Quality, service and ambience is good.

Writing review minutes after coming out of this Worst hotel near temple. Worst service I've ever experienced in my life....the hotel staff ignored us right from the moment we entered the hotel. I personally requested the cleaning person to clean the table so that my family can sit. Except for meals other items take forever to reach your table. The staff aren't friendly, they feel like they are giving food for free though they are charging 150+taxes for single meals. Never recommend this hotel.
Ponnala K — Google review
I had a very disappointing stay at Hotel Kanna, Thiruvannamalai. The staff were extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming, especially if you speak Hindi. It felt like they were intentionally ignoring or avoiding us. The waitress was rude, had a terrible attitude, and barely listened to our requests. Basic courtesy and service were completely missing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially Hindi-speaking travelers. Definitely not worth your time or money.
Bhanupratap S — Google review
Price were not relavent to the food they are too high. If the food was tasty it would mattter that much It's better to eat at street
KATHA R — Google review
I ordered paneer biryani, but it was just tomato rice with paneer – not authentic at all. The flavors were bland and nothing like real biryani. Overall, a disappointing experience with no response from the staff.

Hotel Wahab Sha

Mentioned on

Chinese restaurant
When exploring the culinary scene in Tiruvannamalai, Hotel Wahab Sha stands out as a noteworthy option. While it may not boast the most polished presentation from its staff, the flavors served here are undeniably delightful and offer great value for your money. Guests can enjoy a satisfying meal that rivals other local eateries, making it a solid choice for those seeking tasty food without breaking the bank.
Very bad atmosphere, because the cook is preparing on the foot path, the biriyani was Pongal, tandoori chicken was rubbery, chicken 65 has too much colour, I never ever see like this place
RAMESH K — Google review
I ordered Chicken 65 Biryani—what a waste! There was no chicken, only fried skin. If I had eaten at the restaurant, I would have thrown the plate in their face. We buy food with our own money, not for free!
Ajith K — Google review
Old food serve not fresh, Food taste very bad and more expensive, not worthful waste of money and health.be cautious.

I have ordered quail biriyani in Swiggy, very worst food, I ever tasted the quail Added in Chicken Kushka and they shared the bird smell, Huge can’t even eat
Murali M — Google review
Two days ago, I gone there and ordered a kushka Rs.80 and a plate of C65 Rs.80... the 65 had it's half portion skin only and the remaining is neck and wing edge pieces only with full of oily... i claimed it to the supplier, he didn't responding to my claim and didn't say any word, after finishing up, I Said it to the billing person and Paid the full amount without any hesitation...after I was coming out from the place and the billed person came out and threatened to break my mouth... don't go there for good food and it will definitely end up with a bad experience ... uncultured Place
Power D — Google review
The food was extremely poor in quality - stale, with dry and old chicken that had a bad odor

I ordered mutton biryani at 2:00 pm, but they served liver pieces, waste pieces, and intestine pieces. I raised a complaint, but they haven’t responded. Please don’t order from them.

Food N Fries

Mentioned on

Restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant culinary scene of Tiruvannamalai, Food N Fries stands out as a delightful dining destination. This restaurant offers an extensive menu that caters to diverse tastes, ensuring there's something for everyone. During my recent visit, I savored their well-prepared Parota and soft Chapati, both of which were quite enjoyable. The pepper chicken was another highlight—generous portions made it perfect for sharing among friends or family.
A very good restaurant which have all varieties of food, delicious with reasonable price

I have ordered chilly Parota through swiggy . The oil used in this dish is smelling like old oil which has very bad smell kindly I request the hotel's go through it even the parota looks so bad
Janani — Google review
I was take away the chicken noodles, but only two piece of chicken found so I'm enquired the shop they replied we are added 50 grm of chicken of each one but absolute isn't. Isn't worth of 110 rs ,Very dissopinted.its a scam. People support good hotels not a scammers. Ignore kind of hotels.
VIJAY S — Google review
Hi all, I want to share a negative experience regarding an order from "Food N Fries" in Tiruvannamalai on September 6, 2025. Despite its 4-star Swiggy rating, the food was inedible and had to be discarded. Additionally, my children have suffered from vomiting and loose motion since consuming the food. I recommend avoiding this restaurant when in Tiruvannamalai. Best regards, Rajesh kumar
Rajesh K — Google review
One of the worst places. They don't know what they are cooking. Cheating the town with capsicum instead of jalapeño. For 9 inch given 7inch pizza. And in juice nothing but sugar
Nithin S — Google review
Gud selection fr non veg
Lensking P — Google review
We had tried Dinner today here. Parota was nicely prepared, likewise Chapati also was soft and good. We tried pepper chicken which was nicely prepared and the portion was enough for 3 people to share. The gravy given with Parota was not upto the satisfactory level. They can consider improving the quality of this. Not improved much.
Praveen R — Google review
We ordered two plates of chicken shawarma. They served us chapped chicken kabab, when we asked about it they said this is a chicken shawarma. When we ate it i got chicken kabab bones on this. They told me your bills are 300 when I asked them to give me a bill They directly told me NO BILL SIR 😠. I'm ashamed to write this feedback about my own City's hotel.

ANANDA BHAVAN

Mentioned on
1 list
$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Ananda Bhavan is one of the top restaurants in Tiruvannamalai, offering delicious food and a pleasant ambience. While the taste of the food is excellent, there may be some challenges during peak hours such as shared seating and limited parking. However, the courteous staff and fast service make up for these minor inconveniences. The restaurant is particularly recommended for breakfast, with a wide variety of tasty options available at affordable prices.
New place on the highway, nice and hygienic. Had nice coffee here, I would definitely stay here if I don't want to stay in the city when I come on a temple visit.
Pavi E — Google review
Regarding the food, the quality can be improved a little.. After placing the order, it takes 15 to 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Service is very worst. No menu card. Everything is disassembled only after placing the order. Ananda Bhavan is a good name if they try a little more they can give good service. There are too few people to provide service.Only if there are four more people can we properly reach customers during weekends like Saturday and Sunday.
Actor R — Google review
A wonderful place to have a meal on the go through route to Bangalore or salem via thiruvannamalai. Stopped our car to have our breakfast at thiruvannamalai. They recently constructed this hotel. Tiffen items served were hot and provided extra sampar and three types of chutney. All are very tasty and Emmy. Definitely this spot is worth having your meal even if it is breakfast, lunch and dinner. I strongly recommend this place. Reasonable price. Good car parking too....
Saravanan S — Google review
We had combo breakfast that include idly, vada, pongal, poori, masala dosa, sweet, potato for poori, 3 types of chutneys, sambar and mini coffee(did I miss anything!). That was really exhaustive. The service was fast and the food tasted nice. Good food at right price. Keep up the good service.
Reddy G — Google review
Had special thali, curd rice, kerela parantha. We were group of 8 (6 adults and 2 kids) Food was very very good. Very good service by the ladies staff. Highly recommended
Parul A — Google review
Tried lunch. Lunch quality was ok. Serving cups are small, but they happily served additional quantity with a smile. Even though it was a bit crowded, service was fast. Restroom is under the stairs, tall people have to mind their head. Car parking is ok. If several cars come at the same time, it will be very difficult to park.
Leenus M — Google review
We tried this while travelling to Pondicherry, it’s okey kind of place. All other restaurants in route to Pondicherry from Bangalore are internal to Tiruvannamalai which will take more time. This restaurant is good to take break, it’s in the highway and has decent parking for 3-5 cars. Coming to food, it’s veg and okey, coffee was good.
Himanshu J — Google review
I will recommend it for breakfast , I ate ghee roast , onion uthappan ,poori and masala , masala dosa and as dessert we had Rasamillai and jamun ...taste is awesome price is bit high ... varieties are huge to taste 4/5 overall

Amoha Veg Restaurant

Vegetarian restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Amoha Veg Restaurant is a delightful new addition to the culinary scene in Tiruvannamalai, offering an exquisite fine dining experience that caters specifically to vegetarian palates. With a diverse menu featuring innovative dishes, every visit promises something unique and delicious. Guests rave about the flavorful paneer butter masala and perfectly cooked naan, making it a must-try for anyone in the area.
Good place for a vegetarian meal. Such a nice place in Tiruvannamalai inside the city. Little less star for service that's because of too much crowd service people's running and delaying. Other than that they r trying their best to serve. The food is yummy, especially panneer butter masala, naan tastes good and delicious. Never ate like this before in this area. Meals covered everything and all good enough rice.
Sivapriya V — Google review
Very good n fast service. Keep it up The menu was interesting and indeed so many choices so we tried small2 items n dishes to suit our tongue n try out. The ambience was fine. The staffs are good. The portion was 4.5/ 5 Suggested 1/2 1/2 also good. The display n interiors are fine.
Janu P — Google review
UPDATE: Downgrading to 2 stars! Service has deteriorated drastically. Food takes an eternity to arrive! Go only if you have hours to spend on dinner! Food quality is the only good thing. OLD REVIEW: Came here to celebrate a birthday with family. The restaurant is new and is part of the Amoha hotel. Being new, the interiors are quite swanky! Looks like a nice place to celebrate an event. We ordered several dishes and each dish was perfectly executed. Mildly spiced yet totally delectable! I tried the Chilli parota after a long time and wasn’t disappointed. The parota pieces were quite crispy. A friend ordered the Valai elai parota which is a Madurai dish prepared by steaming parota and kurma wrapped inside a banana leaf. It was quite delicious and definitely recommended. The portion size is quite big so order one for two. The biryani was the highlight of the meal. It was delicately prepared, mildly spiced and was generously infused with ghee. Was surprised to find a biryani with such a subtle flavour profile in TN! The serving staff are polite and courteous with the service itself being quite fast. The one thing missing from the menu is mocktails. They certainly have the ambience for it! With the recent downfall of A2B, Amoha emerges as one of the best restaurants in Tiruvannamalai! Definitely recommended for your next dinner event!
Raj A — Google review
Had visited thirivanamalai for one day. Came to this place for lunch along with wife and daughter. Had a very nice south indian veg thali with best taste and quality. Ambience was very nice and staff were very kind to support without any language barrier. Will recommend this place for good in taste with reasonable price. Two south indian veg thali price 420 rupees including taxes.

If you don't have a proper cup for the parcel, just take that menu from takeaway. How am I supposed to drink a cold coffee from a tiffen box kinda thing, that too in a work place. Didn't expect this from your named restaurant. Such a shame. Ithula parcel ku 10rs 🤦🏻‍♀️

Authentic homely tamil food is served here. The taste is really good. The place is pretty congested.

I will visit again for the tasty food😋👍🏼, loved it. Only traditional homely+ healthy food. Actually if u think/concentrate only on food quality+ variety+ taste, then can give 4.5 to 5☀️ that too if u are open to try different tastes of South Indian cuisine. Homely, old style messy mess🤪🥴 congested atmosphere. 🤞🏼Not for picky eaters.

Tiny Atmosphere !!! Best Service Quality and Quantity Healthy Food at reasonable price. Once visited Customers will definitely become Permanent Customers. Experience the Lunch.
S S — Google review
This place does not even have a board but the food and service is fantastic. We went there for lunch and had typical south Indian (Tamil) banana leaf meals. They have seating for only about 20 to 30 people so it is a bit crowded and densely packed at peak times - if you are ok with this, definitely try it out. One of the best places to have food in Tiruvannamalai and very cheap also.
Rajesh S — Google review
I had lunch here. Rice, sambar, vatha kuzhambu, more kuzhambu, kottu, poriyal all were good. But the price was little high. Overall recommended.

Sterling Arunai Anantha Tiruvannamalai

Resort hotel
Holiday home
Sterling Arunai Anantha Tiruvannamalai is a casual resort offering simply furnished quarters with mountain views. The resort provides an abundance of facilities including complimentary Wi-Fi, airport transfer services, and free parking. Smoking is prohibited to ensure fresh air for all visitors. It's also an ideal wedding venue for couples seeking a hassle-free and memorable celebration. However, there have been some concerns about extra charges for food served in the room without prior information from the reception staff.
I had a truly delightful stay at the resort. The room service was prompt, courteous, and consistently exceeded expectations. Every request was handled with professionalism and a warm smile, making me feel genuinely cared for throughout my visit.
Karthik P — Google review
Great service. Staff are extremely caring and kind. They remembered that i had been there earlier and ensured dietary preferences were remembered and adhered to. Special mention of Mani who is an amazing staff member. Every one of the staff is great. The only area of improvement will be their WiFi- it was mostly non existent in the rooms. Being in a mobile Sunday shadow area, if there were to up their WiFi that would be great.
Cheenu S — Google review
Very nice hotel like other Sterling properties. Very spacious, green and clean swimming pools, ample parking space. 5/7 mins drive from Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashram. Food was very tasty. However dining room was congested. Service is great and staff is courteous. Rooms were clean and maintained. However prices are on higher end compared to size of rooms.

Peaceful resort with comfortable rooms and a serene atmosphere, ideal for relaxation or spiritual retreats. Staff are friendly and attentive, and facilities like the pool and restaurant are decent. Some rooms and amenities need better maintenance, and dining service can be slow. Overall, a good choice for a calm stay near Tiruvannamalai.

Auro Usha Restaurant is a charming eatery located in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Situated near Ramanasramam and Sheshedri Ashram, it's a favorite spot for rickshaw drivers. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring Indian dishes, Western-style omelets, fried rice, potato dishes, and Italian-flavored items.
Such an aesthetic beauty❤️ it's a vegetarian cafe. Food was yummy. Service was excellent 5/5 stars I was blown away by the flavors and hospitality at Auto Usha Vegetarian Restaurant! The moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the cozy ambiance and friendly staff. The menu offered a wide variety of creative vegetarian dishes, and I opted for the chapathi and paneer butter masala. Both were incredibly tasty and fresh, with generous portion sizes. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food. What truly made my experience stand out, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the menu. They made great recommendations and ensured that I felt at home. Auto Usha Vegetarian Restaurant is a true gem for vegetarians and foodies alike. I can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings! - Food: 5/5 - Ambiance: 5/5 - Service: 5/5 - Value: 4.5/5 Don't miss their signature vegetable salads and varieties of smoothies. Also, be sure to ask the staff for recommendations, as they're always happy to help.

Do not go!!. I warn again, Do not go!! Even after reading the bad reviews about half cooked food, I went inside only because of the heat outside. And, they didn't disappoint me with their worst food. I have even told the Manager over there, she was not ready to listen and cut me in the middle and let go, only because other customers would listen to my complaint. I left the food as I couldn't have and came out, the same can be in the pictures. It's better to have at other restaurants, than here. The prices are very heavily charged, which is not worth it.

Really loved this place! I actually went in just to use the washroom, but the vibes of this place pulled me in It has such a calm and spiritual vibe, almost like being in an ashram with a little library where you can see books around. The ambience is peaceful, the food is amazing, and the cheese garlic toast I had was just perfect. Definitely not missing this place whenever I go to Tiruvannamalai again.

We were there for brunch and dinner for 2 days. Dessert was also nice. It was a good experience. Ambience was good, staff were helpful and pleasant. Food was really good and served soon. Its the go to place for eggeterians and vegetarians. Price was reasonable. Would love to go there anytime we visit Tiruvannamalai again.

Tried the Gobi Dry here, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The cauliflower was undercooked, making it tough and unpleasant to bite into. The flavor was average at best, and the dish lacked the crispiness and seasoning expected from a good Gobi Dry. Overall, the food quality didn’t live up to the mark, and the dining experience was just okay. Hope the restaurant improves on consistency and cooking standards.

Nestled amidst the ancient streets of Tiruvannamalai, Auro Usha Restaurant beckons with its tantalizing aromas and warm hospitality. As a wanderer seeking refuge from the mundane, I stumbled upon this hidden gem, and it left an indelible mark on my soul. Auro Usha’s menu reads like a poetic anthology. The masala dosas, crisp and golden, evoke memories of monsoon mornings. The fragrant biryani, a symphony of spices, transports you to distant lands. And oh, their filter coffee – a celestial elixir that awakens the senses! Ambiance: Step inside, and time slows down. The walls adorned photographs whisper stories of bygone eras. Sunlight filters through the windows, casting intricate patterns on the mosaic floor. It’s as if the restaurant cradles the memories of countless conversations, laughter, and shared dreams.

I wasn't expecting much, I asked for advice on a dish and settled on an onion, garlic, potato dish with fried eggs on top. It was delicious and an ample portion. I don't know of other dishes, I plan to return again but I'll probably order the potato dish again. I may ask for extra eggs which would rock. Service was fine, staff was helpful not only in recommendations, but also scanning in the wifi code.

😭 I have tasted most amature fried rice and brocolli soup from this restaurant. Please guys please rework on your Chinese dishes. The fried rice is not fired it has the consistency of a tamarind rice, it is soggy. Why is a fried rice soggy ? Please try only Indian dishes in this restaurant, my friend tried tomato rice and it worked out for him .

Rudraksh - Vegetarian restaurant

$$$$affordable
Vegetarian restaurant
Rudraksh is a vegetarian restaurant located near Rajagopuram, offering delicious and reasonably priced food in a pleasant hotel ambience. The seating is comfortable, and the staff, while a bit slow, are friendly and supportive. Some find the dishes to be too spicy but appreciate the star hotel-like feeling of the place. It's a great spot to enjoy a meal before or after visiting the nearby temple.
Resturant Rudraksh..I went to this restaurant when I stayed in Hotel Arunachala..the staff is extremely curtious and very friendly..You must try their authentic meals in the afternoon..the food is extremely good ..their coconut 🥥🌴 chutney is next level..if you want to experience authenic tamil nadu food try this restaurant..Thrisha too care of us so well ..infact I had my meals only coz of her suggestion and her warm welcome was highly appreciative ..good job folks

The person who designed the restaurant had no idea or concept of space. People who work and customers would need to move to get to the table. Why have space there, it is similar to city planning with out roads. The bathroom is a mess, no ventilation, soiled and not cleaned. Smell of uric acid from urine and nothing else. The staff of the place is good and they treat you and other well. This is a good positive thing in this place. Second good thing, is the veg meals. No fuss, simple good food, no acid reflex after eating. Suggesting have a few foot messaging machines, will be good and also attract customers.

The best restaurant to have lunch after visiting the temple. Waiters are a bit tough, No smile on thier face thats the only negative review else i would've give 5 star. Food quality is top notch. Clean restaurant good ambience. Pricing are average but not expensive. I'd totally recomend everyone to try.

Very disappointed with the service at this hotel. The food quality was extremely poor — honestly, even regular street food tastes far better than what they serve here. The staff was careless and not attentive to guests’ needs, which made the experience even worse. Not at all worth the money. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good food or proper hospitality

One of better restaurants in Thiruvanamalai which is good in taste compared to other restaurants in the area. This place is right beside Rajagopuram. Parking is impossible & one should better walk or take a rickshaw for hassle free afternoon meal.

Puducherry Airport

Airport
Puducherry Airport, also known as PNY, is a small yet convenient and tidy airport located just 6 km away from the Pondicherry Museum. It offers limited amenities such as a single shop for basic snacks and a reserved lounge. Currently, only SpiceJet operates daily flights between Hyderabad and Bangalore, but new routes are expected to be added in the future. Travelers should note that there may be restrictions on vehicular movement within the airport premises.
Pretty cute and tiny airport with minimum crowd. Was a pleasant experience to visit

This review is more for awareness for tourists visiting Pondicherry for the first time. Upon arrival Uber and Ola Apps will work. The driver will come as usual BUT will NOT honour the price shown on the app. For instance Ola showed Rs.240.00, the driver came, loaded our luggage and then demanded Rs.1000.00. Obviously we were shocked and refused to pay. The driver offloaded our vehicle to add to the stress of senior citizens in our group. Please note, the police in the airport is in on this scam too and will do nothing to help you. Autorickshaws are available outside the airport gates. This issue of overcharging is not isolated to the airport either. Any Autorickshaw you take will charge a minimum of Rs.100 no matter how close the destination and you are totally at their mercy if you are not willing to bargain for longer trips. For a locality that is dependent on tourists, they are going down the way of Goa when it comes to taxis and autos. This put a dampner on our experience. If you want to rent a car with a driver, expect them to charge anywhere between Rs.350 to Rs.500 per hour. Or if you want to self drive, it will cost you about Rs. 3000.00 per day. PS: Pondi airport is tiny and has one little Kiosk that serves coffee, sandwiches, muffins, samosas etc. Do not expect much out of the airport. The prepaid taxi stand just outside the airport entrance was unmanned - conveniently so.

The total airport is a single big hall, less than a cricket stadium. Security check will be done person by person so expect delay in this process. One simple cafe is there with very limited bakery items.

Flight canceled for a small rain and no options provided. One of the smallest airport I have seen and smallest aircraft I travelled so far. You wont find any refreshment spot inside apart from one small bakery set up.

Staff especially in the main gate are very helpful in nature. A physical boarding pass( Either from counter or print out?) is required even if u have web checked in and have only hand baggage.

- A small but convenient and neat airport. - Only 1 shop for basic snack (coffee, biscuits, etc) - Only SpiceJet operates daily flights between Hyderabad and Bangalore. New routes to be added. - No shops post security - Only Reserved lounge - Beware: if your ATR flight is scheduled around 6:15PM, there is a high chance of cancellation - ALCOHOL carrying limit, per passenger per bag is 5 liters. Alcohol in Pondicherry is cheaper than in Goa. Enjoy your trip.

Smallest airport ever! Walked down the plane steps into the airport apron to the only carousel and walked out without a single check of any sort! There is some sort of taxi office there but I did not use it. There was no food or drink stall at the airport but there are public toilets n
