Locanda Margon

Fine dining restaurant
Italian restaurant
Nestled in the vineyards, Locanda Margon is an elegant country house offering a modern culinary experience by chef Edoardo Fumagalli. The restaurant features unique dishes like 'Un Italiano a Parigi' and 'Quel Ramo del Lago di Como' that showcase the flavors of Trentino. Guests can savor the exquisite cuisine paired with Ferrari wines from Cantine Ferrari winery.
We had lunch at Locanda Margon Bistrot and it was a wonderful surprise — refined yet relaxed, with a focus on quality and detail that you can feel in every aspect of the experience. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards with views over Trento. The space feels elegant without being stiff, and the atmosphere is quiet and calm, perfect for slowing down and really enjoying the food. The menu was well thought out and balanced — rooted in local traditions but with a contemporary touch. Every dish was clean, flavorful, and presented with care. The homemade pasta was a standout, as was a veal dish that was perfectly cooked and paired with bright, seasonal vegetables. You can tell there’s serious technique behind the simplicity. The wine list, not surprisingly, was excellent, with a strong selection of Ferrari Trentodoc and other local labels. The staff were happy to help us choose, and their suggestions were spot-on. Service throughout the meal was smooth and professional. Friendly but discreet — they let the food and wine do the talking but were always there when needed. We felt well looked after without ever feeling rushed or overwhelmed. It’s not always easy to find a place that strikes the right balance between fine dining and comfort, but Locanda Margon Bistrot does exactly that. It’s the kind of place you leave feeling lighter, happier, and already planning your next visit.
Arnaud B — Google review
An impecable although impersonal experience through the exquisite notes of the local cuisine and ingredients. A must for lovers of Ferrari wine lovers and foodies alike. A somewhat remote locanda offers the perfect view of the valley. You are welcomed by jaw dropping views and exquisite local crops surrounding the property. Once you walk in, you’ll be pampered instantaneously. While the service is impeccable, it narrowly falls into coldness. As soon as you sit down and make your decision the plates will start flying to you. You can take as long as you need, but they aren’t actually paced. You mark the times. The staff is always at hand and willing to accommodate any request, but you will need to break the ice. The food truly makes the local ingredients shine like no other. Mouthwatering pasta cooked to perfection accompanied with signature pancetta and saffron is but one example of the culinary delight you will enjoy. The sommelier goes above and beyond, he will accommodate to your wine tastes and choose the perfect paring for your current food. Absolutely recommended. In summary, a superb experience which could be enhanced by a warmer staff and more elaborated proposal, but will leave you more than happy that you made it all the way here. Lastly, the price is more than fair for the outstanding quality offered in this establishment.

Awesome lunch! Hidden restaurant, difficult drive but worth the effort. Don't miss the golden risotto. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location but very hard to find. So make sure you have extra time to get there otherwise you won’t make it on time.... like us... very nice staff. Especially reception lady was very kind and helpful. Food were very delicate and beautiful. Huge wine list. Perfect for special occasion.

We had a fantastic experience at Locanda Margon's Bistrot. Excellent service, great location and I was personally very pleased with the music choice as well, perfectly in the mood. We suggest going with the "assaggi di gusto" option without even reading the menu, let them surprise you :)
Alvise — Google review
Wonderful evening! We had the natural cognition menu with a lot of surprises! Perfectly balanced taste. Worth the adventurous drive to the restaurant 😁 Perfect service and location. Like to come back!!!

I went to this restaurant with my mom 12 years ago and returned with my husband this year. The food is beautifully presented and delicious, the view is stunning, and I loved and evening with wonderful memories. Definitely recommend the restaurant for a nice evening out!
Lindsay B — Google review
For the price the service must be excellent, unfortunately clearly some of the waiters were new (and the chief waiter scolded one of them in front of us, which is rude and unprofessional). The waiting time was the biggest problem, more than 30 minutes between starters and first course. Also, personally if I'm gonna pay a significant amount I would appreciate the bread to be served again when the one before is finished. The food was really good with ok to big portions, still a little overpriced in my opinion
William D — Google review
Prime place and players…. Good food and wine list… Excellent service
Nancy B — Google review
Excellent surprise. We have chosen this restaurant while visiting Trento city center. Right next to the cathedral and not the usual touristic restaurant but with a gourmet approach and I can tell you they work with passion. It is great seeing the approach on creating the menu (one for each meal course) and the use of vine tree as fence and even its twigs on the menu. Professional service accompanied the meal. A must dine in when in Trento!
The E — Google review
Excellent! Fantastico!! Beautiful fresh tagliolini with fresh mushrooms. The Pork was wonderful too and the fish was delicious. Great champagne and lovely service with the best view of the cathedral. Such a beautiful old building as well. It’s not fast the food took 40minutes to come out. They close at 3pm as well for lunch.

Perfectly located in the center of Trento. Friendly staff, Food good, but not excellent. Presentation and preparation very good. Mashed potatoes disappointing: tasted out of the box.
Impuls2a — Google review
Cosy, warm atmosphere, ideal for a romantic dinner. Service is attentive, food is extremely fresh and presented in a original way. Price in line with quality (45 euros for a entry + main dish + wine glass). Safe choice!

Italian restaurant
Osteria a le Due Spade is a historic restaurant in Trento, dating back to 1545 and offering a unique and romantic atmosphere. The cozy wood-paneled interior features a vaulted ceiling restored using medieval techniques, creating an inviting ambiance. The restaurant serves refined local classics such as cheesy polenta, fir-steamed venison, and apple strudel.
Great dining experience. Quality food and exceptional service- alessandro and Amadou were fantastic! The place is historic, sophisticated and has a lot of energy.
Radhika J — Google review
My favorite spot in Trento, where I had the best risotto ever! The dish was served with lime pearls, cold gambas, basil purée, and bisque. It may sound simple, but the balance and execution were absolutely divine. Without a doubt, this is the kind of dish you don’t want to miss when visiting Trento. The service was friendly, especially thanks to the young Guinean waiter, who made the experience even more enjoyable.
Michel P — Google review
Excellent restaurant with great friendly service. The food was delicious, I was welcome with a starter of ricotta balls, sun-dried tomato hummus and ordered just a gnocchi with rabbit ragu that caught my eye as I walked by. They were also very kind to provide a little petit four with coffee. Where else do you get to dine at a 480 restaurant. The interior itself is worth coming in for a bite!
Keen P — Google review
Had a work dinner at Osteria a le Due Spade and it was fantastic! Cozy restaurant with a great vibe! The meal was fantastic, well seasoned and cooked perfectly! I would recommend stopping here for a meal to anyone in the area!

An astonishing venue. Old wood paneling in a quiet dinning room. Professional table service from staff who know the wines and the menu. Food is regional, creative lovingly served. Never felt rushed. Visited twice in one week. Will return on our next trip to Trento.

The place is tiny (hence cosy), so you need to make a reservation. And you should, as the food is great and the service perfect. If I lived here, I surely would be a regular.

Beautiful restaurant with very tasty food and excellent service. We were our to a separate room and enjoyed each minute if our dinner. It was not just meals but the magnificent experience. We were able to book for the same day which is rare for such restaurants. Highly recommended.

A special gourmet restaurant. Absolutely lovely food and friendly people. Mushrooms tiramisu is something that you didn’t get anywhere.
Nathalie L — Google review
One of the best meals that we had on a multi week trip throughout Italy. The uovo fritto, tortelli, spaghetti burro, hay scented beef and pressed duck special as well as the tiramisu were fantastic. The service is outstanding as well. Truly a wonderful experience of traditional European and Italian dishes with a South Tyrol flavor.

I LOVE IT. Good food and great people. I would be more beautiful at lunch . But i had dinner so no view from top of the hill.
Ardi T — Google review
Been here seven times and it has always been a superb and thoroughly pleasant experience. The cuisine is elaborate and "fine dining" (a Michelin star for a long time), but always grounded and never devoid of sheer "yumminess". Prices are in line with quality for food and actually good value for wines.
Marco — Google review
I have reservations for today. Today is my wife's birthday. Restaurant closed. Drama
Sławomir Z — Google review
We had a very special experience here for our wedding anniversary. We had the traditional tasting menu - every dish was delicious. The famous egg dish was our favorite; the marshmallow dessert was so very surprising and delicious. The sommelier helped us choose a perfect bottle of local Pinot Noir. The only slight downside was that we were sat in a side room away from the main restaurant, which meant we were isolated from other guests. Besides that we would highly recommend for a special meal if you are in the area.

Ristorante El Molin

Fine dining restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque Val di Fiemme, Ristorante El Molin is a culinary gem that has been captivating diners since 1990. Under the expert guidance of Chef Alessandro Gilmozzi, this former mill has been transformed into a fine-dining haven that reinterprets traditional Trentino cuisine with an innovative twist. The menu features unique ingredients like lichens, showcasing a deep connection to the surrounding mountains and nature.
Me and my dad had a good day in the beautiful alpines of Cavalese, when we randomly found the hidden beautiful restaurant El Molin. The architecture of the restaurant is really something else. You get greeted at the restaurants front door by knocking. You then get led to a table in the comfy and good looking inner dining room. We ordered the course where you get AMAZING dishes. The service is perfect with professional waiters who knows a lot about every single ingredient which they put into the dishes. People are complaining about the price but what you get for that kind of money is just unbelievable.

Our experience over the last 6 years: Communication by yearly chancing Service is poor: English hard to understand; Native german speaking service is not allowed to communicate in German (!), english version as said poor. Not acceptable. Even the reservation service: Asked twice by Email in advance, never get an answer. Telephone conversation failed due to insufficient English skills. For a one-star-restaurant not acceptable! Food experience awesome!
Anton B — Google review
Typical atmosphere and tasty dishes makes this restaurant my favourite in Cavalese, although it's highly pricy. Good wine selection, need reservation.

(Translated by Google) The 13-course tasting menu is a true ode to the mountains: each dish evokes the scents of wild herbs, the freshness of flowers, and the richness of local flavors, reinterpreted with elegance and creativity. The cuisine enchants not only with its impeccable technique, but also with its ability to express the region through every bite. The desserts deserve a special mention: delicate, surprising, simply superb. And if you wake up the next day feeling light and satisfied, it means the experience was perfect: harmonious, balanced, and memorable. A must-visit for those who love haute cuisine that still speaks of nature, tradition, and the region.

(Translated by Google) On the recommendation of a chef friend, I had this fantastic experience, because to say I had lunch would be an understatement. Every course is thoughtfully crafted and researched, making it worth the trip and the price. You can immediately see the dedication the entire staff, including the chef, put into their work. Typical products are elaborately prepared and paired with innovation that goes beyond simple Michelin-starred cuisine. Every forkful and spoonful is a journey into the flavors of the region and gastronomic exploration. Excellent selection of regional and national wines. Courtesy, cleanliness, and excellent service. I wish everyone a similar experience in the breathtaking setting of the Val di Fiemme.

(Translated by Google) I booked months in advance and mentioned that I'm vegan. I was very disappointed and disappointed by the menu presented. It was essentially an imitation of the omnivore menu, with the animal ingredients eliminated or replaced with vegetables. Therefore, since it wasn't a carefully crafted menu but rather "adjusted" based on the omnivore menu, it was quite disappointing. It's a real shame that a restaurant of this caliber, with a Green Star chef—who cares about the environment, ingredients, and his homeland—doesn't offer a truly vegan option. We also pointed out how unfair the menu's price is, identical to the omnivore menu but without the high-quality ingredients it contains (for example, the main courses: char replaced with chicory and pork replaced with fennel). While they clearly feature high-quality vegetables enriched with special ingredients, I don't think they're comparable to the animal protein either in terms of taste (which is actually unpleasant) or price. It's a real shame; I won't be returning, and I don't recommend the experience to anyone following a plant-based diet as long as this is the alternative. I hope that, in the future, if a vegan menu is offered, it will be well-researched and of equal quality to the omnivorous one, because I believe all customers deserve to be treated with the same respect. The dining room staff was very kind, especially the girl in the white shirt and glasses; very sweet and professional.

If you're looking for an amazing restaurant experience with top notch cuisine, look no further than L Chimpl! This tiny village hidden in the heart of beautiful Dolomites has a Michelin starred restaurant that offers a unique dining experience complete with stunning views. The staff is professional and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend reservation ahead to avoid disappointment.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The dishes are spectacular - not only they look great, but also they taste like heaven. The staff is very professional and the location is also unique (in a tiny village in the middle of beautiful Dolomites). Overall the visit was an amazing „Michelin star” experience and I will definitely come back. Update 2022: I revisited the restaurant with my family in January 2022. The restaurant is still great! Everyone was delighted with the food, presentation and service. It’s truly a hidden gem!
Franek G — Google review
Just delete it from your wishlist. Food was bad and ended up with some kind of food poisoning. The dish in the picture was the most bitter food i ate in the past few years. Don’t know if a Michelin star restaurant can afford to prepare such a tasteless and bad food. As i can see some other people had the same experience with the restaurant. Would not recommend the location!
Matei I — Google review
I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. We went there because we knew that it has a Michelin star and we wanted to enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, what they served was not according to their pressuming standards. 2 of our friends got food poisining the next day and since then the restaurant would not answer to Any of our emails. Awful experience! Apparently also the locals know about this problem, but we were not aware!
Ciorba D — Google review
The whole experience was below expectations. Had ordered both 3 and 6 courses menu for 2 persons but it was far from being categorized as food with a Michelin star - the majority of the dishes were tasteless and weren't well cooked. Some medical problems were also observed the next day as we experienced food poisoning and stomach ache. Definitely not recommending the restaurant as we left very disappointed. Too bad i had to click one star in order to get my review posted.
Ale P — Google review
Finger weg!!! stay away I visited this restaurant with my husband last year, and I tought that only our experience was really disappointing but now I can see that many other customers expirisened similar. Even if i forgot the weird taste of food, it was served on plates that were not clean. Some dishes are mix of salad without any dressing. Just is not worth of 150€ per person. ANY other reastaurant in this are have much better food and more reasonable prices.

Wonderful gourmet experience in the beautiful Dolomiti Mountain with world class service, chef Norbert's sustainable development is not just words, using all the ingredients from this area, recyclable materials through out the facility, they have created a place like no others. The menu is changing all the time, this time tried the summer version, some classic dishes from the past, love the fish tartar, the deep umami taste just leave a strong stamp in my brain, also the mountain butter is so magnetic, I just want to keep on enjoying it with the fresh crispy bread. Everything on the menu is well executed. The service team is outstanding, my friend's glass was a bit dirty from the sauce of one dish, one guy noticed and changed immediately without her even asking. And other small details make guests feel really special. Very good wine selection, live the whites from this area, one of the best in the world. Overall, fantastic experience and I feel so lucky and grateful to be here.

Wonderful place, amazing food and very nice, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend. Now for a more detail review. Restaurant was solid booked (and for the right reasons) the week we were visiting when I tried to make a reservation months in advance. I asked them if they have any cancellations I would like to take it. Last minute they got one and I hoped right on it. Restaurant decor is nice and cozy and we had the great surprise to be offered the chef's table. This is set in a private room with a half wall of glass from where you can see how all the dishes take life, how much goes into each dish. We were traveling with 2 kids and they made sure that the kids had the kind of food kids like, but in a hard to match presentation. Food was exquisite. Locally sourced, innovative combinations, exceptional presentation and simply delicious. We had live bread, rising on our table for the delight of the kids, freshly made icecream churned in front of us, for even more delight of the kids, cotton candy served in the most ingenious way. The menu was designed with the local flavors in mind and I could taste the mountains flavors. The freshness and the beauty of the place was reflected in all the dishes. A life time experience that should not be missed.

We had dinner and tryed the 12 courses menu with the tasting wine. All the food was excellent and also the service is at a very high standard. I visited many 3 Michelin stars restaurant and this is one of my best. What an experience

Fancy and expensive. I found the food here to be basic and less interesting than others in the area. I got the beet salad and sea bass, which were both fine and fresh but not memorable. Good ambiance and service at the restaurant, but nothing special. The menu is small. My favorite part was the beet salad, which was fresh and yummy.

Amazing dining experience - we were bowled over from dish to dish by the creativity and ingenuity, the way our jaded palates could still be excited, and by the warm hospitality in between every moment. Can’t wait to be back; we’ll be thinking of this place for a while.

Family owned restaurant with a beautiful garden terrace. Flavors were unlike anything I’ve tried before. They make their own olive oil, pair wine perfectly to the meal and have the best pasta we have tried in Italy. I will never forget this place or the smell / taste of their truffle oil. We loved this place! We had dinner here during our stay at Lago di Garda. The owner of the restaurant was extremely knowledgeable about all of our meal selections and wine pairings and gave us excellent recommendations. His attention to detail is unsurpassed. The wait staff was also wonderful. They too were very knowledgeable about the dishes they served us, things like wine and local olive oil and fresh produce from nearby valleys. The Italian farm-to-market movement is alive and well in Riva del Garda. Bravo!

We go every year and twice a year since 15 years to Restel de Fer ! The place is just wonderfull and the Meneghelli family became our italian family. We discovered the place looking for a calm and relaxing hotel closed to the lake when we were going to work in the area. Something with a higher standard level, service and food, closed to the excellence. This place is just amazing, you feel like home in Italy and the food is just excellent. We eat every evening ate the restaurant, we discover always new food, new wines. Everything is home made with local product. They produce their own oil, make incredible "pasta de tartufo", original made carpaccio, osso buco, fish from the lake. All the family is always at disposal. Also nit to miss the wine selection from Marco and his description of the food and wine he will offer you to try... With the Covid we missed to see them during one year and came back few weeks ago and the magie started again. This place is not to miss for hospitality, food and for relaxing.

This place is just amazing! Just sitting there is an experience itself. The food was high quality and very good. PS It was empty just at this moment, since we were the first guests. ;)

Good food, although my partner wasn't impressed with the aubergine parmigiana. Service excellent, with good descriptions of everything given. My pork was delicious. Wine recommended was lovely.

Agritur Bontempelli is a charming rural retreat with well-maintained accommodations, providing a serene setting for horseback riding and farm experiences. The on-site restaurant serves delectable local cuisine, and guests appreciate the complimentary parking. Visitors praise the warm hospitality of the owners and their attentiveness to guests' needs, including those with young children. It's an ideal destination for families seeking a peaceful getaway amidst picturesque surroundings while savoring authentic regional flavors.
What a wonderful 2-hr ride through the valley! Our guide was fantastic and made our whole experience that much more enjoyable. I am an experienced rider, my daughter is getting there, so far using only an "English style" saddle, so when they offered a new experience with an "American style" saddle I was game. Let's say it's different, but glad I now know. The horses are all well kept, and was a pleasure to enjoy a couple of hours in Val di Sole. We will be back for sure, perhaps a 4 hour ride next time, but next time in an English saddle!!!!

The location is excellent, hosts are very friendly and helpful giving good suggestions for different activities. Horse riding trips were amazing!

This restaurant with horse riding school is in a perfect place along the 35km-long bicycle path to have a cream to recover a bit before to start again your ride. Good food. It's just a pity that you have to face a lot of flies because of the horses close to the restaurant.

Wirtshaus Vögele

$$$$affordable
Italian restaurant
Wirtshaus Vögele is a historic venue located near the beautiful Piazza della Frutta, with a traditional menu featuring local classics such as veal head with eggs and onions, carne salada, and speck. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere in the heart of Bolzano and prides itself on using seasonal ingredients from local producers. Diners can enjoy dishes like ricotta dumplings in broth, potato fritters with sauerkraut, and lamb cutlets.
Super friendly staff who helped us with our stroller, both with the stairs and finding a quiet spot. The food was excellent across the board, from the cold cuts (the best I’ve had in Bolzano) to the main dish, everything was spot on. The atmosphere is also very pleasant, making you feel fully immersed in Tyrolean culture.

Charming spot near the center of Bolzano, just a short walk from the cathedral. The restaurant is located on a picturesque, cobbled street with lovely outdoor seating under the arcades — perfect for people-watching and enjoying the local atmosphere. Service was quick and efficient. I tried a regional specialty: a selection of Hirschknödel (venison dumplings) with different flavors, served with a warm bacon salad — a typical South Tyrolean dish that was both tasty and interesting. I also had the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù, another local classic. The sauce was flavorful and well prepared, though the pasta itself was slightly overcooked and oddly short, as if it had been cut — a bit of a shame. Still, considering the central location and overall good quality of the food, the prices were quite reasonable. A solid and honest place I’d recommend for a casual meal while strolling through Bolzano.

This restaurant is steeped in history. The staff is professional and friendly. The menu is more Südtirol-style than typical Italian. The Wienerschnitzel, made authentically with veal, was tender and fried to perfection. The Knödel also had a unique flavor I haven't tasted in Germany. I would highly recommend this place.

Quaint restaurant featuring local tyrolian cuisine. It’s a vibrant spot and institution in town amongst locals and tourists. I found the dishes good especially the octopus and grilled steak with mushrooms. However, I did find the service a bit lacking, not very detail oriented and one may have to repeat their request. Other than that a must try in Bolzano.

Authentic place with South Tyrolean cuisine. When booking, ask for a table either outside on the street or on the first floor - the second and third floors don’t really have the same atmosphere. The food is excellent, exactly what you need in this region: the must-try canederli (traditional bread dumplings made with speck or cheese and best enjoyed in broth), amazing chanterelle mushrooms (now in season), and veal head. The goulash is wonderful, and even the kids’ schnitzel is absolutely delicious.

The meals we had - ravioli and Schnitzel - were both delicious, portions were nice too, but the inside dining area is uncomfortably hot, however if you opt to eat outside, you need to share the airspace with smokers.
György A — Google review
This was a super tasty wiener schnitzel. We actually came without looking at reviews because this place was always packed when passing by, so one day we dropped in earlier for lunch and even then there was no more seating in the outside or first floor, but luckily still plenty of seating upstairs, which also completely filled up rather quickly. Food was very tasty and I regret not ordering more that day as this was one of the best restaurants I dined at while in Bolzano. It was only later while searching for best wiener schnitzl in Bolzano that this place consistently showed up. Also, the environment is quite cozy, and you can imagine the long history of this restaurant. Only downside is service is quite slooooow, which is pretty much standard in this area.

Good food, friendly staff. A bit pricey, the aperitivo wasn’t worth it in my opinion, portions kind of small

Airport
Valerio Catullo Airport is a small but efficient airport with mainly European and domestic flight options. It offers a shuttle bus to the station for convenient transportation. While it's undergoing construction for modernization, the airport remains organized and busy. The food options are limited and slightly expensive, so it's recommended to grab food before arriving. Despite some limitations in facilities like toilets and passport control, the airport is generally clean and easy to navigate.
The airport is not too big and the bus is very convenient to get to many attractions.

If more than one flight arrives here at the same time expect a long wait. There are 2 E gates servicing all arriving as non EU although the signage is poor so lots of EU passport holders also use this line making your arrival incredibly painful. On departure, there are no charge points in the main terminal but a stroll along to the nice shed like building they are currently using for Ryan air flights to depart gives some charge point towers. Otherwise, airport is fine with duty free and food/drink options. Security departing was very quick with liquids left in bag.

Can’t believe how dire this airport is. The only positive is that it’s small and not relatively busy and so you breeze through check-in, passport and security with ease. The negative is that they have very little places to eat or drink and what they do have is a very poor offering with items selling out by 7pm. WI-FI also would not connect.

Was unfortunate to have a delayed flight on a Saturday. No public transport to the train station neither bus nor aerolink shuttle after 11.10pm. Seems crazy for a European company, over a 100 passengers forced to take taxi, no uber, no intaxi nor freenow taxi apps service available. One long queue of 100 passengers , taxis turning up one every 10 minutes approx. Better service in the Australian outback. Tried renting a car but all closed too 😞

New A Gates Pros: departures lounge partly open and a good selection in the “duty free” shop. Cons: One tiny cafe, no WiFi, nowhere to charge your devices, and all windows are frosted so you can’t see outside or watch the planes coming and going. B Gates The original much older wing with more eating options and lots of charging points.

A nightmare. Bus to the airport has no luggage racks, so if you have more than one small bag, the journey will be very unpleasant. There is a horrible noise at the airport due to construction works and before the security checks in there is nothing in terms of food, drink or even to sit down. Check in of the main luggage takes ages. The crew are lazy and uninterested that the passengers are waiting for them to stop gossiping and get on with their jobs. Luckily I’m not planning to ever fly in or out of this airport again if I can help it.

Quite a nice modern airport currently undergoing renovation for the 2026 winter Olympics. The works has resulted in some long walks to get to the gates and, to be honest, the current departure gates are not that great. I also did not really enjoy being checked through to spend 30 minutes standing in a cage in the heat. Having said that there was excellent ciabatta rolls and coffee for sale in the new part of the airport. I'm sure it will all be better when the development works are finished.

Aug. 25, departures terminal is a mess. The terminal is undergoing renovation, hope it'll make a difference because right now it feels more like a cattle auction than a passenger terminal. Makeshift structures, cramped spaces, not enough seating available. The only saving grace was the wonderful attitude and attentive service of Elena and Carmela for the assisted travel team, who helped me navigate the terminal safely and on time.
