Hüsnü'nün Yeri

Mentioned on

$$$$expensive
Restaurant
The dining experience at Hüsnü'nün Yeri was superb, with delectable cuisine and efficient service. The octopus was prepared flawlessly, and the promptness of the staff added to the overall satisfaction. However, it is worth mentioning that the exorbitant cost of the house white wine significantly inflated the final bill. Upon opting to dine without wine on another occasion, it became evident that this decision resulted in a significantly reduced price for a meal of equal quality.
We were escorted down stone steps that opened up to beach seating, looking out on moonlight on the Aegean sea. Savory dishes of fresh, wonderfully prepared vegetables and seafood. The atmosphere was astounding.
Lori S — Google review
Best place for seafood, meze and rakı . Fresh renovated nice atmosphere
Aysun B — Google review
It is a scam! The manager doesn’t tell you the price of the fishes and then over charge you! We had to ask a table sitting near by to reduce the price of the fish, from 2250 to 1800, which still completely overpriced! And the fish was just fried, not even good or properly cooked! Avoid this place at all costs !
John D — Google review
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food was generally good, though a bit overpriced, which is understandable for a touristic spot. Out of the four meze’s we tried, three were very good. The ‘Okyanus Lokumu’ (crab) unfortunately didn’t really taste like crab. As a Portuguese, I also found it unusual that they cut and clean the cooked fish for you, we asked them not to do ours. Overall, a pleasant experience with some cultural differences.
Kaju C — Google review
Atmosphere is pretty good, quality of service is excellent and tastes of their food is nice but not wow. Balance of price and level of flavour is not equity.
Ugur K — Google review
Great restaurant by beach in heart of Datça , food was excellent, outstanding service seafood and meat meals available . All workers were outstanding specially Ali . Highly recommend it in all aspects
Mesaid A — Google review
Good fish, fine mezzes This restaurant is definitely the best one of the options on the beach. The fish is fresh and the raki is good. That being said, the mezzes are mediocre at best. We had 8 mezzes and none stood out, except for the fresh squid. The beans and atom weren’t distinguishable from what you can get a fancy supermarket. For mains we had the common sea bass, very tasty but at the end of the night we were presented with a 650+lira bill. Those are European prices and while the view makes up for a lot the quality of the food is perhaps not worth such a steep price. We’ve found that some of the fish places further out of Datça do better consistent quality for a more reasonable price.
Cor C — Google review
We had very nice time with family. Prices are a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in the area, but food was very tasty and staff was very helpful and accommodating all our requests very fast.

Yengec Restaurant

Restaurant
Yengec Restaurant is a seafood-focused dining spot, renowned for its crab-based dishes. Situated in a coastal area known for its seafood, the restaurant takes advantage of fresh catches to create flavorful delicacies. Whether it's on Calis Beach or in the secluded location of Gocek, Yengec offers stunning sea views and mouth-watering Turkish dishes.
Yengec is a wonderful waterfront seafood restaurant in the area. Pretty good wine selection and fresh seafood. You get to choose your own fish. We did the salt crusted bake and it was absolutely delicious!
Bahar R — Google review
Absolutely amazing! The seafood was super fresh, everything tasted great, and the view made it even better. Truly enjoyed everything here!
Cloé — Google review
My food was awesome i had a spinach pattie from the mezze bufet and something fish mix with cheese melted over it. My fish main course was very good. The service was speedy and kind. My husband had the meat he was not so happy about it but he is a picky eater. I was happy :))
S T — Google review
Yengeç Restaurant offers an amazing dining experience! I tried various hot and cold mezes, and each one was delicious. The service was superb, and the atmosphere is simply perfect, especially with its location right next to the sea. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal in a beautiful setting. I ended up coming here 3 evenings in a row for dinner and the waiter Oktay really good take care of us every time we visited here. They are very service oriented and one can feel it.
Ali G — Google review
Amazing fish, the ceviche was super, so was the shrimp. Set outside and just looked at the little fish swimming who someday may end up in someone’s plate.
Leticia D — Google review
Review for Yengec Restaurant If you find yourself in Fatehi, Turkey, Yengec Restaurant is a must-visit culinary gem. Known for its delectable seafood offerings, this place is a haven for seafood lovers. Here are some highlights: Barbeque Octopus: Tender and perfectly grilled, the barbeque octopus is a standout dish that will leave you craving more. Seafood Meatballs: These yummy meatballs are packed with flavor and are a unique twist on a classic dish. Butter Garlic Prawns: Succulent prawns cooked in a rich butter garlic sauce, making them an absolute delight. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and taste of the food make it worth every penny. The ambiance and service further enhance the dining experience, making Yengec Restaurant a must-visit spot in Fatehi. Don't miss out on this culinary adventure!
Abhijeet M — Google review
This restaurant was so good, we ended up coming back a second time! A beautiful restaurant a bit down the road from the main tourist spots and seemed to be full of locals. It’s direct on the water with a beautiful view of the harbor. The Meze selection is great and everything we tried was delicious! We had the fresh sea bass, seafood casserole and sea bream and all of which were incredible. The fresh sea bass was the recommendation of the waiter since it’s the local fish and it was also the best dish of them all. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Fethiye and into sea food, it was our culinary highlight!
Paul O — Google review
One of the best fish restaurants I've ever tried before. Food was great, fresh and tasty. All what you expect from a seafood place. Service is top class, staff were helpful and gave very nice suggestions for food. Highly recommended.

Hilmi Restaurant Balık Pazarı

Mentioned on

$$$$affordable
Seafood restaurant
The seafood restaurant Hilmi Restaurant Balık Pazarı is one of the most unfussy places you will find and offers a variety of seafood dishes, including fish, squid, shrimp & octopus. The atmosphere here is amazing and the service is great. The food here is delicious and definitely worth a visit!
Best food we had in town. Try the squash blossoms. Unfortunately people can smoke anywhere in turkey so we were seated next to people who were smoking while they ate dinner.. not sure how they could even taste their food? 🤮
Natalie R — Google review
I really don’t know why it has high reviews! 1- We bought octupus from the fish market and they cooked it badly ‘they didn’t boil it, they grilled it very quickly’ we couldn’t even cut it. Then they said it is the problem og the seller ‘which is not true’. 2- The prices are super high and the cooking is without marination or salt, tasteless. 3- MOST IMPORTANTLY, they are superrrr rude and they raise their voices while talking as if we are fighting, and when you call them they talk to you from far, they don’t come to your table unless you ask for the cheque!!! Or beg them to come😅
Hadeer H — Google review
I think it was a very authentic experience. Choosing the fish which ends up in your plate was pleasing. Fish were extremely fresh. We end up paying 4000 for 4 people without alcohol. With alcohol it would be probably 6000. Service was fast and attentive. Overall I think it’s a must for Fethiye. One nights dinner has to be dined in this place. Be careful with the fish, choose sea grown not farm grown.
Derin B — Google review
We had a lovely dinner at Hilmi! Amazing Mezze, super fresh. Great local fish from the market - sea bream. Wine was a bit expensive but location was worth it. Service was great and Musicians gave the vibe. Recommend
Kathi D — Google review
Great place for lunch, you can pick your choice of seafood and there are so many options to pick from. The seafood is very fresh. They make it really quickly, very simple method of cooking but you can taste the true flavour of the seafood you picked. Great experience
Nipuna L — Google review
I hadn’t written a review for our first time a few weeks ago. It was good. But, due to our fantastic experience this time, I think they deserve all five stars. The waiter helped us choose our fish - perch. It was grilled to perfection and filleted so no bones … yeayyyy! Our mezes were delicious and unique. It is unusually chilly this week so they turned on the heaters for us in order to sit outside. The music was great. We will definitely be back!
Selin G — Google review
Clean and nice service, as soon as you sit down they will take care of you. Just choose your fish from the market wisely and fresh, they will cook it for you as you wish. Talking about my experience I wouldn’t recommend any other fish Restaurant in this fish market. They are tricky about prices and mezzes. Oh wait ! In this one particularly waiters speaks English as well!!
Cagla B — Google review
We ate fresh seafood in a lively atmosphere. I recommend the fried calamari, octopus in cream sauce, fried zucchini flowers and the sea bass. The service was prompt and the place was filled with people. We loved our meal.

Ahtapotçu Mehmet Usta

Mentioned on

Restaurant
Ahtapotçu Mehmet Usta, which translates to The Octopus Man Mehmet, is a small family-run restaurant known for its delicious and professionally prepared seafood. The grilled whole octopus is a standout dish and pairs perfectly with a cold glass of beer on a hot summer day. In addition to the octopus, the restaurant offers simple yet tasty mezes and perfectly cooked fish. Visitors can also enjoy swimming in the nearby bay and arrange boat tours through the restaurant.
Local and basic restaurant which is family run. The mezes are simple but tastes are delicious, they are fresh and professionally prepared. The fried mussels is one of the best i have ever had. The octopus which also resides in the name prepared with 3 methods, wine marinated grilled, plane grilled and fried. We love the plane one but go with your own style, we actually made a combo with marinated and plain. Everything is very delicious.
Onur D — Google review
We had the best octopus in our lives in this restaurant. The fish (we shared a big one), all mezes were delicious. Our servers were also amazing. The view, location, food… Must try in Sogut.
Derya D — Google review
The best octopus i ve ever try, ambience is very relaxed and peacefull 😋😊
O G — Google review
Located in a small, beautiful village Söğüt. Veeery tasty octopus, beautiful location and ambiance. Costs are high for intance enjoying once it deserves. Highly recommended!
Müge D — Google review
Amazing view and sunset! Seafood is nice but not the best in the area. Rocket salad turned out tomatoe salad - was just sprinkled with garden rocket like parsley. In my humble opinion, the place is overvalued, recommendations didn't meet the expectations 🙄
Olga — Google review
Experts in octopus and local fishes!!
Samet Y — Google review
Came with very high expectations but it was not as good as I thought it would be. Octopus was very salty and chevy.
Berk C — Google review
We visited this place since Vedat Milor ( Turkish Gourmet) suggested. We ordered octopus and 2 mezes, mezes were not quite tasty but O.K. On the other hand octopus was amazing. I strongly recommend octopus. Only problem is portion size. 2 small octopus legs for 90 TL is unfair.

We had dinner here. I had a salad and my husband had a bowl of 🍲 soup. Lovely food and service here. The warm chicken salad was huge and very nice. My husband said the seafood soup was very 🙂 We are going back for lunch and maybe dinner again.
Sharon — Google review
Wonderful staff. Inviting and friendly. All the other restaurants were pushy and obxious. We actually talked to the former owners sitting next to us. The restaurant is now owned by the staff and it shows. The steak with rouquefort sauce was outstanding. The bolognese had peppers but was tasty. The standout was the homemade flat bread for the starters and garlic bread. Fantastic.
B R — Google review
The lamb chops were okay. It was meant to come with Garlic butter, it came with cold, colagulated, stale, bland gravy... literally not what's on the menu, or what I paid for. Asked the waiter to buy bernaise sauce and he said no too. The sliced potato was lukewarm and tasted old too. Restaurant was empty so confused was to why the food was so bad.
Miss C — Google review
The portions are huge, we tried the spaghetti bolognese and ut was mid, the lasagna was a little better, and we ordered a creme sauce spaghetti with chicken which i liked the most, the prices are great for their portions.
Joud N — Google review
5* and more ! One of the best steak i ever had !! The food its FREAKING good !! It was recommend to us and we are now so greatful it was ! I really enjoyed !
João R — Google review
Hands down the best restaurant we tried in all of Marmaris! After a week of underwhelming meals across the city, this place was a total game changer. We ordered steaks and pizza — both were absolutely fire. The sauces were next level — I had the black pepper sauce and it was insanely good. Everything hit just right. Overall: 10/10. Highly recommend.
Hasan R — Google review
Visited here recently, service was good and the food was delicious! The best balloon bread and dips I’ve had in Marmaris and Steak was lovely. We will be back next month.

Excellent place to eat!! Best fish and chips we've ever had. Great pricing friendly staff. Nice atmosphere highly recommended. And thanks Mustafa for the lift home!! See you again soon 😁
Peter C — Google review
Just went to rickys today to try. My wife got the fish and chips myself and daughter got chicken doner wraps my daughter had chips with hers. All the seating is outside really warm thoo but food was great and really warm freshly made. Fish is probably better than most fish the UK sell. No bones in the fish wraps were large but me and my daughter only managed half each but they were happy to wrap left overs to take with us. I had chilli sauce in my wrap was good slightly hotter than a tobasco sauce. Chips were better than any chips u get in a uk chippy. Oh and they give you more than 5 chips lol. Our bill for the 3 meals and 2 large drinks was 990 lira i think thats pretty great. The 2 young lads served us and they were really friendly.
David J — Google review
What very pleasant place to eat ,proper chips n fish and homemade pie that is excellent! Well worth a visit, I went two times in my week away, first class . In the pic it's fishcake chips and peas,,, homemade pie, steak and onion with really nice creamy mash and mushy peas, yum yum ,not oily at all ! First class.

Absolutely amazing, had fish, chips, peas with bread and butter. Everything was just like being back at home but even better. If anybody is on holiday in the area you need to visit this little diamond. Ricky is a amazing guy. Thank you so much hope to see you again soon
Chris S — Google review
It was our first experience of trying fish n chips and it was wonderful it tasted so good, the service was perfect people were so kind we couldn’t eat pork because of our religion so we stated that and we asked them to cook the fish and the pork separately. the chef came and told us that we was going to do it separately just for us and were so thankful for the service we’ll def come back later thanks for everything!!

Amazing staff, very polite and welcoming. Food was amazing and a variety to choose from. Offered free garlic bread and dips which was amazing! Also offered free hot drinks, shots and ice cream. Such a lovely place and the staff are amazing. Would definitely recommend.
Millie J — Google review
The establishment provides an excellent dining experience. The steaks are expertly prepared, achieving optimal results. Although I did not personally order a burger, a member of our party did, and it appeared to be of high quality. The staff is welcoming and provides attentive service. I would certainly consider a return visit.
Jason O — Google review
Our steaks were cooked to perfection! At the time we arrived we wanted it to be chilled and enjoy the ambience of the restaurant as the passing of the town went by. Lovely experience, and fully enjoyed! Not too expensive either.
Diane J — Google review
LOVED THIS RESTAURANT. Me and my family visited this restaurant most nights. The food was fantastic and good size portions. I have 2 picky teens and even they were happy everytime. The manager Jason was very helpful giving us lots of advice and help with places to go for whatever we needed. It's rare to find honest people in life. But all the staff there are friendly. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you for your high quality customer service.

La Casa De Mamma

Mentioned on

$$$$affordable
Italian restaurant
La Casa De Mamma is a popular restaurant known for its diverse menu and Italian cuisine. The cozy and welcoming ambiance makes it an ideal spot for family gatherings or casual meals. Customers praise the friendly staff and the delicious, varied menu that caters to everyone's tastes. Some recommended dishes include the chicken la casa, ravioli, lasagna, potted prawns, and potted chicken. While some patrons enjoyed their meals immensely, others found certain dishes not up to par with their expectations.
Ate here last night - would absolutely recommend! For those who loved Bella Mamma's, this is just as good (if not even better) and you may recognise some familiar faces from the original restaurant. Lasagne was just as good as I remember it being, and I've been told that the pizzas and pastas are fabulous too.
Robert T — Google review
We came here because it was busy and the food looked pretty good, but looks can be very deceiving. I asked for some ice for my water and the waiter tutted at me! 🤔 We ordered, I ordered a T-Bone steak and Deb had a Lasagna, we waited for half an hour before I asked another waiter and he told me it would be a couple of minutes, another 10 minutes went by until they finally brought our food. My steak was as dry as old boots and covered in Gristle , I had asked for a pepper sauce, which was just thick gravy with a few peppercorns thrown on the top, it was disgusting. Deb’s Lasagne was good though, she enjoyed it. As our meal started, they turned on a massive fan that began blowing kitchen cooking smells out at us all, 🤣🤣 everyone started complaining to each other! I watched the waiters asking everyone with empty plates whether they enjoyed their meal? But they never asked me? Perhaps it was the big pile of gristle on the side of the plate and the untouched attempt at peppercorn sauce? This is not a place I would really recommend, as looks can really be deceiving, especially for the most expensive meal we’ve had all week! All in all not a great experience.
Alan G — Google review
The portions of the steak and the sides were good but it was the most tasteless steak I’ve ever had in my life. I didn’t know you could mess up steak if I hadn’t had steak here. Other items might be good but stay away from that steak
Mahee — Google review
Excellent food - we ate here 3 times for dinner and twice for lunch whilst on holiday in Calis! Pizzas, pastas and steak were brilliant quality. Service was great and fantastic location to watch the sunset too 😊

Overslept, so has to hunt down breakfast as we had missed the hotel breakfast. We paused to look at the menu outside on a sandwich board, upon seeing us do this we were ushered in by a member of staff, to which we usually say "no, thank you" to but honestly the prices were so good we thought why not! And I'm glad we did ! Excellent service, from entering we were made to feel very appreciated. The manager was chatty , great entertainment while we waited for our orders. The restaurant was extremely clean and cutlery was even given to us in hygienic coverings. Service was excellent too. And saving the best for last... Absolutely amazing food, and very cheap (£14 including a tip for the pair of us) I would definitely recommend paying these guys a visit !
Jemma H — Google review
We had lunch in this restaurant recommended by chat GPT to go for a food dining and the food was very basic small portions and definitely not tasty. The staff were very kind that’s the only good thing about it.
Маrina M — Google review
Walked in the restaurant for a small lunch and was surprised at the quality of the food so went to have dinner there the day after. The dinner was even better and me and my girlfriend went on to eat here 6 days in a row. Every evening we got greeted by the staff as if we were family, very kind, thoughtful and got treated with a lot of respect! Next time I’m in Marmaris we will come back to this restaurant! Everything is A+ and the whole vacation we haven’t eaten anywhere else where the food was better. Love from Netherlands! Hope to see you all next time! 🇳🇱❤️

Great fun bar/restaurant. Good selection of food on the menu. We certainly recommend the Ribeye Steak and also the liver. Harry and the team go out of their way to ensure that you eat well and have a fun time at The Samdan café & bar. See you again next time we are in Marmaris 🇹🇷🇹🇷🌞⛱️🍹🍻 P.S. If you message them through social network, they will even pick you up and drop you off at your hotel etc👍

We are here three times whilst on holiday, I found the food satisfactory to poor the staff were friendly and polite. We even booked a table to watch the boxing fight on the TV, thry said we had to leave which we found very disappointing as that it was going to be seen live at the restaurant. They even had sacked one of their staff members because apparently they were spending too much time entertaining our table, which I found absolutely despicable. He was the The best staff member there. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this place deserved it.

Memedof

Mentioned on

$$$$expensive
Restaurant
Memedof is a well-established seaside restaurant in Bodrum, run by the husband and wife team Mehmet and Tulin Cuhadar. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the rugged coastline and distant islands, creating a warm and golden ambiance during sunset. While slightly on the pricey side, the menu features excellent mezze options such as fresh fennel salad with local olive oil and citrus accents, artichoke puree, deep-fried zucchini, and Mediterranean-style semolina.
One of the recommended fish restaurants in Bodrum, highly rated. Well established and run by a family. Good service and delicious dishes.
Ghass N — Google review
Great food and atmosphere but extremely overpriced. They multiplied the dishes, especially the mezze saying that 2 servings were served in one plate of everything which doesn’t make sense and hence the price doubled. We ordered 5 tiny fish (which they claim is 500g) for more than a 100€. Definitely taking advantage of tourists.
Anne-Marie — Google review
Delicious food and friendly staff. A little confusing at first to select the right fish for you and the appetizers which cost extra but the quality of the fish as well as the appetizers is amazing. Definitely a great place to eat seafood.
Hue E — Google review
The mezes are excellent. The only downside is that the tables are very close to each other, so it sometimes feels like you’re sharing a table with the next group. Sitting at the edges is a better option. The food is very tasty overall. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but definitely worth it.
Burak K — Google review
We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Memedof in Bodrum with a group of 20. Perfectly set tables by the marina, attentive service, endless fresh mezze and superb seafood—octopus, calamari, langoustines and more. A flawless, memorable experience!
Karl G — Google review
Definitely one of Bodrum’s most popular seafood restaurants. The starters were ok but Tuesday fish plates were so fresh and tasty. So better to avoid the starters if one can. Decor and atmosphere is very basic. Service is very good.
Habib M — Google review
One of your waiters Mr. ALI is extremely rude, not helpful and impolite..!! When you talk to him on multiple occasions he turns his head away and doesn’t listen to the customer… The rest of the staff are nice and helpful even though their English Language skills are very basic but they try at least.!! We had to wait over 20 minutes to get the Bill.!!

At this restaurant with a Turkish friend, I asked for the menu but it was never brought to me, even though the food was good. When I asked for the bill, I almost paid the total before my friend checked it. It turned out they had added their “service charge” under a dish called “fish” (twice the regular charge)! Thanks to my Turkish friend’s intervention and frustration, they had to correct the bill. Always read carefully and ask for clarification on the bill when you’re a foreigner!

Αεροδρόμιο Ρόδου «Διαγόρας» (Rhodes Airport “Diagoras”)

International airport
Rhodes International Airport Diagoras (RHO) is the main airport serving the island of Rhodes, located in the far south-east of Greece. It offers a range of domestic and international flights and provides a smooth travel experience with separate arrival and departure areas, free Wi-Fi, and friendly security. The airport features various shops and restaurants for travelers to enjoy while waiting for their flights.
Amazing Mediterranean Food! This restaurant in Rhodes truly impressed me. The Mediterranean dishes were fresh and full of flavor. I had grilled fish with a side of traditional Greek salad — everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the olive oil and herbs gave every bite a special touch. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and a lovely view. Highly recommended if you love healthy and delicious food!

Can't say it's a bad airport, as it gets the job done, but it obviously isn't made to handle the traffic in summertime. Overcrowded, overpriced, bus stop not available in google maps, crazy traffic. Inside there is just one info screen and it's in the middle of a shop. Very inconvenient.

Unfortunately there is no Star Alliance Lounge but Starbucks serves decent coffee;) You can get last minute souvenirs- Greek beauty products or olive oil, ouzo,…. People are very friendly and it’s well organized.

VERY clean and well-maintained airport, with noticeable improvements each time I visit. Still, for such a busy hub: a) a designated smoking area is missing—even though I don't smoke. A semi- opened design, similar to what’s used in Bergamo airport, could be considered. b) The outer areas and parking, could use better lighting, landscaping, and organization. c) the departure boards. They’re not well-positioned and too few in number. Instead of being also clearly visible straight ahead from the duty-free area, the restaurants or both from the “gates area”, they’re only noticeable to those passing through a specific part of the hallway. d) the “Arrival haul rental Agency Stands“, look undated and unappealing. Overall though, this airport, elevates the experience and truly stands out among all other Greek airports.

This was my first time using Rhodes Airport, and honestly, it was a terrible experience. Our Ryanair flight was delayed near 2 hours because of a shortage of air traffic controllers — and the delay might get even worse. The airport itself is far too small to handle the growing number of tourists. It feels outdated, overcrowded, and completely overwhelmed. There aren’t enough seats, hardly any proper facilities, and no clear communication. It’s clear the airport just can’t cope with the demand. If this is meant to be a gateway to a major tourist destination, something seriously needs to change. Very disappointing.

Small but well kept airport, baggage arrived quickly on arrival. On departure, noticed the ‘extra Schengen’ area is particularly small with about 6-7 gates, just one restroom and extremely overpriced average food options.
Thomas — Google review
In capacity of passengers for seasonal flighs this airport does not live up to size. Luckily the security control went fast and there were two stations operating. Clean but lack of space for passengers to sit down and the gates are very close to the shops. The two lounges are on second floor, access to it with Priority pass. The gates are old-fashioned style meaning everyone gets bussed to their aircrafts.

Unfortunately, my experience at Rhodes Airport was quite frustrating. The departure display showed that our flight was to check in at counters 37–39, so naturally, many passengers waited there for quite some time. When we finally reached the front, the staff told us – in a rather unfriendly tone – that we were at the wrong counter. I completely understand that mistakes and last-minute changes can happen, especially at busy airports. However, the way this situation was handled felt unprofessional and unnecessarily harsh. Clear communication and a friendly explanation would have solved the problem easily. It’s ironic that digital systems, which should make traveling smoother and more efficient, instead caused confusion and frustration in this case – both for passengers and staff. When I tried to share polite feedback with one of the employees (or possibly a supervisor), I was simply told, “Not my problem.” I believe airports should aim for better coordination between digital information displays and the ground staff. A bit more courtesy and understanding would go a long way toward improving the travel experience for everyone.

Dalaman Airport

International airport
Airport serving the Dalaman area since 1981, with domestic & international terminals.
Lovely clean airport. Professional service. Plenty of places to eat 😜 but very very expensive. There is a Big Mac Here. Modern. Efficient. Would recommend. DW1.

Heard terrible things about this airport before going but honestly I didn’t have a bad experience at all minus the price of a coffee but I mean it’s airport pricing. Easy to go through, people typically moving at good speed which you don’t always find. Very clean and easy to find things.

The actual building is amazing ! And would make a great Bond villain hangout, it really is something even the way the sunset Shines into the baggage claim. But I feel it the same Bond villain who running around with the pricing machine 🫣 it’s like stepping into some strange alternate pricing universe where everything costs 5x more than the real world. €6.50 for a coffee and €9.00 for a McDonald’s cheeseburger. Get snacks and drinks before you get there so you can just enjoy the design of the building, everything is spotlessly clean there were a few extra security checks but they didn’t really take much extra time.

Decent size, fairly modern, still expanding airport. Duty free area is fairly expensive especially food courts. For example a burger meal at McDonald's works out between £15-£18!!! That's more than I've paid for a three course meal in town a night before.
Grzegorz B — Google review
The takeoff views here at sunset are absolutely gorgeous. As for the airport, the infrastructure is interesting but the airport was scarily empty and dark in October. One thing that’s annoying and inconvenient though, despite this being normal in turkey, is the amount of security checks. The two security checks before boarding is normal, but why a third random security check right before boarding?? It’s excessive and there’s zero reason to search innocent tourists when we’ve already had two checks. If there was something suspicious, it would have already been flagged up. However the security officer was lovely which makes up for the 4 stars.

Airport is clean and they take security seriously. Warning: the food is extortionate! A McDonald's meal for four costs over £60. Same for all the food places, e.g. £12-18 for a sandwich. There is a Popeye's, Noodle bar, pizza restaurant and others. Tip: the cheapest water we found was in McDonald's at £1.65 per small bottle. Elsewhere it was £2.50 minimum.
Rhodri J — Google review
As airport that does the job and was good at it and can’t fault that part. But the guy at the petrol station we stopped at before the airport said it is one of the most expensive in the world. He was not joking. £10 for Pringle’s and the McDonald’s £ 8 for 6 chicken nuggets and £9.5 for parity much any drink across all shops. Needles to say we sayid hungry and thirsty. Not paying trapped in an airport price.

No drinking water! Now I get it, we have to empty our drinks bottles before going through security, fine, same with many other airports. I also get that you don't provide free drinking water, once you're through security. I don't agree with it, I think it's very poor customer service, and as an airport it's the very least you should be offering your customers. Not only that, it's a really easy way for you to appear to care about the planet, and lesson your impact on the environment, by reducing single use plastic bottles, and, but you want to make €7 a litre, it's your choice, I don't agree with it, but I get it. But to NOT TELL US FIRST?!! To require passengers to empty their drinking water but not inform them that there's nowhere for them to refill their bottles? That's sneaky, really sneaky!! Come on Dalaman, do the right thing, put in a free drinking water fountain, you can even make it so there's a voluntary €1 donation to charity for each bottle you fill up. But stop being greedy, it's not a good look for you and it's a bad memory to leave with, after what was a brilliant first family holiday to Türkiye.

We wished we could stay longer

The airport maybe new and shiny but so many security checks after security check to the get to food and drinks more extortionately priced than other airports. Bad shout out to doner kebap inside, sour puss lady tried to rip us off until I queried the prices which she begrudgingly changed but to show her pettiness and displeasure she then told the chef making it to hold our order and do orders placed after us first. Horrible customer service. She should be reprimanded.

Nice and clean , massive queues to security, bag drop and passport control. Duty free prices its a joke , expensive restaurants.

I find it hard to believe that this location is a popular tourist spot. Unfortunately, my experience with the service has been quite disappointing. Staff members seem unhelpful, often acting as if no one is around when approached. While they may respond with English words, their meanings frequently appear to be incorrect, creating a sense of condescension, as though they are interacting with children. This starkly contrasts with my experiences at Istanbul Airport, where customer service is prioritized and significantly enhances the appeal of the destination. While the town itself has a magical quality, it is disheartening to find a lack of assistance, particularly when the staff primarily communicate in their native language. I hope that improvements can be made in the area of customer service, as it plays a crucial role in attracting visitors and encouraging repeat visits. And nothing is clear about everything 🙃

Terrible. 3x (yes three) levels of security bag checks. Ridiculous. 1x (yes one) bar who charge 18 euro for a pint of Efes beer! The duty free shop have the nerve to price a box of chocolate at 35 Euro! Nice building, but bring your own food and drink. Keep your wallet in your pocket!

Absolutely despicable behaviour from staff. My male (brown) family member was checked along with his MINOR (15) son. This was racism. Although my family member said to the staff he is 15 all because he looks tall does not give you a right to check him. Even the people before my family, they were all brown. Not a single white person. Disgusting people, I DO NOT recommend for anyone. Horrible. Racism. The other thing is that even his MINOR daughter (11) and MINOR son (13) had to go through the x-Ray and get patted down. Me and my family are Muslim and Türkiye is a Muslim country, so I think it’s even worse that they are even being racist to their own brothers and sisters.
