Romanian restaurant
Restaurant
La Ceaun - Piata Sfatului is a cozy bistro located in Brasov, Romania, offering some of the best breakfast and brunch dishes in the area. The rustic decor and welcoming atmosphere make it an ideal place to enjoy a delicious Romanian breakfast or brunch with friends or family. The friendly waitstaff are ready to offer recommendations for hearty Romanian meals, creating a warm and inviting dining experience.
This is a lively local restaurant in the heart of Brasov old town, is was so hot outside we decided to eat inside there were three ladies getting the food ready for a very busy restaurant and I have to say they were cool-out, they served the food to the waiters with ease. the waters were very friendly and not afraid to talk and recommend different food. the food was excellent, I had the beef cheek and me wife had veal liver, I can highly recommend trying this restaurant.
Noel C — Google review
There are very few places which fully deserve 5 stars in all aspects but truly La Ceaun shattered all expectations. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and the portions were quite generous. Highly recommend it for a taste of traditional Romanian food with a good atmosphere and really great location. Will definitely come again!
Flavia G — Google review
This restaurant is excellent - all dishes are very delicious, they also have traditional Romanian dishes, all are very tasty. The staff is very friendly and they speak English fluently. Definitely recommend 100% for the full experience in Brașov. Amazing culinary experience!
Sean B — Google review
Warm welcome, well decorated restaurant. Plenty of traditional romanian dishes available and for all taste. For vegetarians, some dishes are available. I went there on Thursday night with my parents, and we spent a great time and discover the romanian cuisine. Our waitress, Mimi, was particularly available for explanations, patient and polite. The food was excellent, well recommended.
Thomas F — Google review
I really loved this restaurant. Great location, great food and very friendly service. I ordered the ham and bean soup to start and it was hearty and delicious. It was filled with perfectly cooked beans and ham and had great flavor. I had the mici for my main and it was equally as delicious. All of the sides were excellent as well. I had some of the best cabbage and pickles I’ve ever tasted in my life. Just perfect. My server was very kind and throughout the course of my meal I overheard him speak English, French, Romanian and a little Italian. Very impressive! When traveling I generally avoid eating right in the main tourist areas as the food tends to be overpriced and not so good, but this was not the case at la ceaun at all! Great location and equally great food. I will certainly be back. There are many more items on the menu I’d like to try
Marissa C — Google review
Tasty food. It was best Papanasi I ate during my trip in Romania (not only my opinion). The service is good, the waitress was quick/kind and smile (Mimi, if not mistaken). It’s in a touristic place, so, probably will be interesting who visits Brasov at the first time. Just one note - sometime there is a queue to a toilet :)
Rail Z — Google review
We had lunch at this restaurant and it was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our waiter, Costi, was incredibly polite, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We tried the eggplant salad with tomatoes, the pie with matured cheese and tomatoes, and the traditional Transylvanian soup with smoked meat and potatoes.. every dish was full of flavor and truly delicious. Highly recommend this place for an authentic meal with great service
Evelina N — Google review
Very good place to try some of the local foods, we had the Bulz and the Mici which we enjoyed with a glass of red wine. Waiter was very helpful, friendly and even searched the wine for me. Nice views of the square covered so even though it rained it was dry - would recommend they invest in outdoor heaters as it does drop a good few degrees in the evening. But overall recommend this place.

Sergiana

Romanian restaurant
Sergiana, located in the heart of Brasov's old town, is a top restaurant offering an authentic Transylvanian culinary experience. The warm atmosphere and hospitable staff dressed in folk costumes create a charming ambiance. The menu features traditional dishes served in three languages: Saxon, Hungarian, and Romanian. Using old recipes and fresh ingredients from their own farms, Sergiana brings the charm and traditional taste of Transylvania to the historic center of Brasov.
I had dinner here based on the reviews. They didn’t disappoint. Food: 5/5 Once you sit down, they brought you complimentary bread and a deep fried pork skin and meat crunchy starter. I had the mushroom and bacon stuffed pork schnitzel which wasn’t dry and tasty. They could have added more mushroom. Their portions are on the big side as I ended up taking the extras. Their menu is extensive but not many choices for vegetarians and vegans. Service: 4/5 server was friendly and made a good recommendation of the traditional potatoes. Atmosphere: 5/5 the restaurant is located downstairs which I felt I was dining in an old brick tavern. Nice and cosy feel to the place. They can fit large parties to just one person.
Melanie E — Google review
The best restaurant if you're looking for authentic romanian dishes and dining experience. ✅Location: Cozy and clean. 👌Food: I would go back and recommend this restaurant. The Ciorba de burta did not disappoint, even the complimentary jumari with onion, tasted good. Our main course were ciolan with beans and ciolan with cabbage, which both tasted well. The pork is tender, juicy, and hit the right spot of not being too salty and not bland. I would say I liked the beans more. The freshly pressed apple juice matched our entire meal. The serving was generous and we had a few leftovers for takeway.😊 💯Service: We arrived at the restaurant during dinner without a reservation, and we were treated great. We didn't have to wait long for the food to be served. I would say they're very attentive. Overall, a really great dining experience.
Evangeline S — Google review
We were sooo excited to try this placed based on two recommendations, but it was such a disappointment I’m afraid. The stuffed chicken schnitzel with bacon was bone dry and my son couldn’t even finish it (he is not fussy and loves food), the sarmale was nothing special and was left unfinished too. My vegetarian stewed mushrooms with polenta was pleasant enough but had no wow factor. Our waitress seemed stressed and hurried (it was busy) and to top it off we had some weird residue at the bottom of our wine glasses .. yuck! The manager kindly refunded us for the wine but the whole experience was super disappointing after high expectations. We didn’t stay for dessert and took our business elsewhere. Very nice decor and atmosphere and some friendly staff, but sadly not worth the hype.
Cherry K — Google review
Upon entering, the host accurately told us it would be a 15 minute wait. After being seated, we stated to our waiter, we ONLY want dessert, he treated us with the the same respect as if we had a 4 course meal. We had the Papanasi (which our waiter predicted). He brought us bread and dried meat and stated "it is on the house" The papanasi was cooked to perfection and just a hint of crispness (just how I like it). The local red berries and sour cream were in good proportions.
Andrew U — Google review
The decor and atmosphere was great. Service was superb. The complimentary fried pork belly and bread was yummy Food was good but personally I missed some veggies. Yet it is a great place to see and get an authentic atmosphere!
Laura F — Google review
Had a really nice meal here. The mains are delicious! I had the wild boar and would definitely recommend it. We had ice-cream for dessert but it wasn’t good. Tasted like store bought frozen ice-cream, so if you want a dessert I wouldn’t choose ice-cream. The service was ok but the vibes were great.
Sophie — Google review
Food is the best you can have in the town, atmosphere is great, service is top class and the building has a memorable history. Each waiter is able to guide you as you’d be a guest in their own home.

Absolutely fantastic meal. Great soups, amazing Sarmale. We also were lucky enough to see dancing and live music which was a cool cultural experience.

Tipografia

Mentioned on

Bar
Located in the old town at the intersection of Diaconu Coresi and Postavarului streets, Tipografia is a cozy spot where you can enjoy socializing over breakfast and coffee or bring your laptop for a peaceful work session. In normal times, it hosts various cultural events such as concerts, film screenings, theater productions, parties, and poetry nights. The breakfast menu is divided into three types: Breakfast Sweet Treats, French Breakfast, and Savory Breakfast.
Finally managed to visit this bar, as it’s usually very crowded. We really liked it. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. The service is fast and friendly. There’s a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. We were able to find cocktails here that we couldn't find at other bars in the city for a long time. I will definitely come back.
Dima Z — Google review
At first, we saw a couple of people working on their laptops and hesitated a bit before giving it a chance, but it turned out to be a great decision to have a few beers there. The staff were incredibly kind, the simple ambience made us feel comfortable, and we got to try many Romanian beers at a fair price. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
Rafael P — Google review
One of the nicest places for breakfast in the old town with specialty coffee and amazing views of Tampa mountain and telecabin, located on a charming street in the old town. Good sandwiches with great variety, I only wish the tomatoes were more qualitative since it's the season. But all in all, wonderful experience, totally recommended. Could not find a better place with both specialty coffee and breakfast in the old town.
Ana S — Google review
a real great place to have a coffee, chocolate and breakfast or brunch. Very good flavors. Staff was great, polite, eager to help, knew very good English. Environment was cozy, prices logical, and music very relaxing (and not loud at all). Placed in the heart of Brasov, it is recommended 100%. They provided us with a bottle of tap water, which was very very much appreciated since unfortunately most shops don't.
Vhagar B — Google review
Great place to have drinks. Food is more on theblow key side as not large variety, bit still good. No burgers or steaks, more on healthy aide sandwiches. Drinks amazing especially the local beers!!
Henry S — Google review
A very pleasant café near the square. The best cold brew with lemonade I’ve had in Romania, croissant with tahini and honey was perfect, not too sweet. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a fan inside, so despite the high temperatures outside, it was comfortable indoors. Also, the music played inside was to my taste and not too loud. I recommend stopping by.
Martina — Google review
Very cool location and guys - the location was recommended to me by the dude from the souvenir shop over the street where I got my luggage stored. And I wasn't disappointed, in fact the opposite was the case: The salmoned trout sandwich with avocado in combination with a nice blonde beer from the draft was extraordinary tasty. Thanks to this reference and the guys, it really helped me to overspan the 4 evening hours until my FlixBus departed.

What a cute place! The menu options are great, they have hot wine and some really good local beer options. The atmosphere and the music are very good. The staff is also attentive and friendly.

If we include the location, ambience and food, then the first place goes to Sub Tâmpa. The food was good – only desert didn't give us a lot of pleasure (Negresa with caramel sauce), but what we ate in the same way (muscle of lamb & strips of pork belly cooked slowly) was very good. The beautiful beetroot with caramelized onion was also ok – however large portions from the appetizer menu.
Nice place. We ordered the bear meat burger, the trout, zander and the "cozonac" pudding. All were very good. The burger was similar to a beef one, but I was curious and wanted to tick this box. The dessert I would highly recommend. The service is very good.
Razvan B — Google review
The place is a great area near and surrounded by trees green obviously during the summer. Menu is not too big, but I consider accurate and appropriate for a small or big time. Restaurant Inside offers you table for small and big groups. Also gives you the chance if it’s sunny to have a table outside. I can see a great location if you are looking for a small walk and to have some activities in the park in order to end with a pleasant time with food. Kids, friendly, Iqos friendly, haven’t seen a dog inside. Prices are fair, for instance, one pasta costs eight euros, but there are other dishes which are around 20 €. In general terms, I recommended.
Sebastian S — Google review
Visited Sub Tampa in Brașov and enjoyed the duck confit. The sauce and plating stood out, though the meat could be more tender. Ambiance is cozy and well-styled. Staff were attentive and helpful. The butter chicken and rice dish didn’t impress, but the overall experience is solid.
Noel M — Google review
Out of all restaurants we’ve tried on our week-long stay in Romania - this is indisputably the best one out there. The food was delicious, the atmosphere of the location is awesome and the prices are great. We also found great vegetarian options which we highly recommend.
Igo — Google review
Had to give this place 1 star because of the service. The food was amazing but the service made the experience terrible. We had to wait over 15 min after sitting down for someone to come and get the order. Food arrived in normal time and it was one of the best we had . At the end, we waited with empty plates for over 20 minutes without anyone coming to our table to see if we want anything else or dessert. In the end I had to go after the staff ( they were ALL staying in on corner chatting and laughing) to ask for the bill. It was the first time we didn’t leave a tip and was the first time I give such a low rating. Shame because it is such a wonderful location and food!
Andreea S — Google review
Lovely food and great atmosphere. Brilliant for families too. Alberto served us and made us feel very welcome with our two young children, he was lovely with them and interacted with them really nicely. The food is amazing and really good quality - even the kids meals were freshly made, unlike the processed rubbish that you can find in some other restaurants/UK restaurants. Compliments to the chef! The manager is present and welcoming too. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Lozzie T — Google review
Cosy atmosphere and classic restaurant service! Started our dinner outside on the terrace and then we moved inside. 'Carne la graniță' would be a dish to try with a delicious taste.
Curro L — Google review
Fabulous place it’s very decorated and with a nice elegant style, the food it’s really good I personally tried the bear burger which was really good. The service was impeccable very gentle personal and really caring to the costumer. I really recommend it if you go to visit Brasov and as last I have to say that the view was amazing!

Gaura Dulce

Restaurant
The Gaura Dulce restaurant is a popular place in Brasov for traditional Romanian dishes at an affordable price. The food is of high quality and the portions are large, making it a great value for money. If you're looking for a delicious and affordable meal, this is the place to go!
Had some delicious traditional food here and it was all lovely. We only had an hour as we were on a tour and the food came out quickly which was great! The atmosphere was great but when we were sorting out our money to pay it felt a bit chaotic because of the music but that was more on us than the restaurant. Down a cute little street, waiters were lovely and friendly.
Robyn C — Google review
The food was very flavorful, especially the bean soup with smoked pork. The waitress was friendly. Even though she seemed overworked she was smiling and had a very positive vibe about her. The pun in the name, made us choose this place, but the food and staff will make us come back.
Boian P — Google review
I have attached the menu for easy references. For a restaurant, I think the food was really palatable. Do try the romanian meatballs as it is a romanian traditional dish and it was really good. The oil just ooze our from the meatballs and it complimented so well with French fries and the condiments. The meat was tangy and gives of a chewy flavour. Overall my experience here was pretty great and the service was good as well.
Nicholas T — Google review
We eat here on the recommendation of lots of friends and family who had been to the area and it was even better then expected. We had the most amazing time, food and all around experience. Sat in the outdoor patio area we had the best time.
Luke H — Google review
The traditional dessert was lovely, but as a vegetarian there really wasn’t anything to eat. I had two starters as a main and while it was okay- I wouldn’t return. But I definitely would return for the dessert!
Ciara O — Google review
The portions are small and the mains do not come with a side, you have to buy that separately. They’re pretty expensive overall, and the food is not even that great to be worth it. Someone in my party ordered grilled pork and it came half cooked, we sent it back and instead of preparing a fresh portion they just fried it a bit more and brought the same plate back. We used to come here years ago and the food and service used to be lovely, but not anymore. Would not recommend.
Tina R — Google review
Amazing food, honest prices and friendly staff. If you’re looking for an authentic and a bit less touristic place, that’s it
Rodrigo C — Google review
This is one of the nicest places in Brasov, the food is great, whatever i had was good, never had any complaints. They have a waste wine offer and very friendly staff. There is usually live music, traditional romanian. It can get really crowded on holidays so sometimes they don't accept reservation but if u wait in the lobby they will get you a table. They have lunch menu between 12-18 in working days, students menu and menu for retired people with special prices.

Guests can expect delicious food and great service in this tourist spot, making it an ideal choice for those seeking an authentic dining experience in Old Town.
Big thank you to Laurentiu for all the recommendations! This is a great restaurant if you want to try traditional Romanian food, and the setting inside is very nice. If you get overwhelmed with the menu, the staff are more than happy to help you out. It’s not too expensive either and the portions are quite big.
Krista P — Google review
The place has a nice ambiance, but the food arrived cold and was nothing special. What really ruined the experience was the waitress charging 10 lei more than the bill without asking. I wouldn’t have minded being asked for a tip, but adding extra without my consent felt dishonest, and her lack of explanation was very disappointing.
Tanmay S — Google review
We had a very pleasant experience with a very large group of hungry teenagers. The menus could be established in advance and the variety was satisfactory! The soups were delicious and we received this feedback from teenagers :). The home made juice and pancakes were also highly appreciated! The communication was great with the staff to whom we thank! We will definitely be returning to this restaurant

Delicious & amazing food, completed with great interior and warm atmosphere. Props for all the sets. We were not really expecting much because usually tourist trap everywhere as this is located in the heart of the square. Turns out it’s sooo good. I recommended it to anyone who wants to explore romanian cuisine🤤💛✈️

My wife and I dined at Mamaliguta a few days ago and had a wonderful time! Special thank you to Laurentiu who provided wonderful vegetarian food and cocktail recommendations. I come here every time I visit Brasov and I always get good quality food and service. During my last visit I felt a bit that the aspect of the dish I ordered was changed. The platter was messy and done in rush even if the place was not crowded at all. It was a bit of disappointment as I brought here a friend to whom I’ve told that this is the best brunch place in the city. I leave a picture for you to see it yourself. I hope you can fix this soon. Other than this, you can find many items in the menu, hot chocolate is delicious and staff very welcoming.

One of the hidden gems of this beautiful medieval town Brașov,located in the center of the town in the small beautiful Enescu plaza. Suggested by another great hidden gem of this town pastry / cake shop "Dulciurile Cristinei" ,it was a hit! The food is amazing! We tried the burgers meat and vegie, they are artizanal burgers. All the food is in-house, made from scratch... I guarantee you, it will be hard to find another burger that good in the whole town. The Carbonara and Pesto pastas, you will have to drive to Italy to get something at this level. The desert at Opus is provided from the cake shop "Dulciurile Cristinei",eclers to make you crave for more, no other cake shop in town has the secret recipe to make them as delicios as this ones. Pilsner draft is fresh and perfect. We went back twice while we stayed in this beautiful town!

Right next to the city center but in a cozy, out of the turmoil of the masses of tourists, quiet little plaza, is positioned the restaurant Opus9. This place has a very positive and chill vibe, with large windows and cozy atmosphere. We had breakfast here and i must say that we had a really good experience and everybody had a good time. I had the Croque Madame and a nice Flat White and an Earl Grey tea with some milk and everything was very good.

A memorable dining experience at Bistro de l'Arte! I had the beef with pasta and zucchini — beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The presentation was elegant, and the portion just right. What truly elevated the evening was the exceptional service from our waiter, Andrei. He was attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. The ambiance is cozy and artistic, making it a perfect spot in Brașov's historic center. Highly recommended!

I wasn't sure if I should give it 3 or 4, let's say 3.5. The food was good, nothing special but the price is a bit high for what you get. The issue we had was that we waited around 40-50 minutes for the server to bring the bill so we can pay. We asked 3 times, and even asked a different person once. We saw that they were busy but they just completely forgot about us. Probably not coming back.
Ria — Google review
Six years ago we have stayed at Casa Rozelor, with breakfast at Bistro de l’Arte - a very nice experience (possibly I might have reviewed this). This time we were looking for a spot where to get a very tasty local beer (Czell). Since someone told us the Bistro had it, we went there at around three a clock. All the tables were reserved but the waiter was extremely kind and found one which was not taken for the moment, facing the very picturesque passage in front of the bistro. Once again our culinary experience has been fantastic. We had onion soup, chicken leg slowly cooked in the oven, snails and king oyster mushrooms. Incredible taste and prices! Next time we are decided to reserve for the food (not only for the beer)!
SHC — Google review
I’d seen quite a few reviews about this place, so we decided to give it a try. Based on the staff’s recommendations, we ordered a tomato soup, pappardelle with beef, and for dessert, crepes with raisins. The beef pasta was excellent — the mushroom sauce paired perfectly with the meat and the type of pasta. The soup (gratinated with gouda) was also really good; the combination worked beautifully. And the crepes were something truly special — highly recommend them!

Killer ginger beer! Haha the rest of the food and service were really great as well. I walked in for a late lunch and the patio was full with reservations but they happily sat me inside. I would recommend reservations for the outdoor seating or even inside during dinner. Highly recommend and would go again!

Dei Frati Restaurant, located in the heart of Brasov, is a top choice for those seeking authentic Italian culinary experiences and Mediterranean-style seafood. This charming establishment, ranked among the top 5 restaurants in Brasov, stands out for its quality and variety of dishes. Situated just 200 meters from the Black Church, it offers guests the opportunity to combine gastronomic pleasure with historical exploration of the city.
I really appreciate that our waitress Sandra went above and beyond to satisfy my craving for shrimps and asked the chef to prepare the most exquisite Aioli dish I have ever tasted!!! The ravioli with blue cheese and pear were delicious (they even took out the sage because I dislike it).The lasagna was really tasty as well(obviously I tried a bit of everything). However the shrimp dish was amazingly delicious!!! Really hope that the chef has the ingredients to make it for me next time I go. I will definitely return!!!

We really enjoyed our time here! We had lunch one day and came back the next, because we liked it so much. Staff is very friendly, the waitresses have a positive attitude and the man at the bar gave us a drink on the house because he heard I said I like my alcohol sweet. The music is nice and the food is absolutely amazing as well, we finished every single plate. I really recommend the pasta with zucchini and the place overall 🥰🦋🌸

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Brașov yesterday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The risotto, in particular, was outstanding – without a doubt the best we’ve ever had. As passionate food lovers who have dined in several Michelin-starred restaurants, we can confidently say that, from a culinary standpoint, this place easily deserves one star. The quality, flavor, and execution of the dishes were simply top-notch. A special mention must go to Anca, who provided us with the best service of the evening. She was incredibly kind, funny, and gave us spot-on recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. Her warmth and professionalism made our evening even more enjoyable. We truly had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back!

Delicious pasta, super quick service, and a lovely atmosphere — this Italian spot really impressed me. The food tasted authentic and fresh, the staff was friendly, and everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend for a cozy and satisfying meal!

Well it's really good. The atmosphere is perfect. Another reason might be because it's my colleague's friend's restaurant. I just love the food. First time to Brašov, beautiful scenery and perfect food.

If you are looking for an excellent Italian cuisine in Brasov, stop looking and come to Dei Frati. Great dishes with a lot of flavors. A special thanks to Alexandra, our waitress for the night. We will come back.

This is the restaurant that my wife and i never want to skip when we are in Brasov. It's familly owned and familly ran so it's very cosy, the service is great and they are really ftiendly and offer great suggestions if you are undecided over the menu. And then the food....well it's great, tasty and they source local ingredients. It's usually busy and you need a reservation but it's worth it. And they offer you limoncello after you've finished your food

Restaurant
Albert Social Bistro is a charming European restaurant located in an old wine cellar on the main pedestrian street of Brasov. It has quickly become a local favorite, offering an intimate and romantic atmosphere with a lovely summer garden featuring live concerts. The restaurant is known for its excellent wines and steaks, making it a great spot for foodies or special occasions. The attentive waitstaff ensures a comfortable dining experience, although the menu is in the local language.
Local is really cozy and very beautiful. The details are making the local looking better. We were there for breakfast and also on new year eve, they made 4-gang menu and everything was just delicious. The personal was really professional and helpful. We just can recommend this location.

Very unique place away from the crowds but still at the heart of the old town. We had stake, pasta and salads, all were great.

I was greeted at the entrance and offered my choice of tables. Menus were in English and Romanian. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. The Pasta Carbonera was excellent.

I recently revisited Albert Bistro and was really impressed. The atmosphere is always cozy and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive and the overall experience is very enjoyable. The restaurant offers a relaxed vibe that's perfect for both casual and special occasions. The prices were reasonable for the quality of service and environment, and I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Food was good. Service was excellent. Place was tucked away so not busy, noisy and had some shade. A little pricey, but recommend overall.

After a day’s sightseeing, make time for the evening spent in a garden of Albert Social Bistro where a glass of wine or a traditional chicken soup steal the show! The place is located in the heart of the old town, yet it creates a very nice, intimate atmosphere. Really good food. A bit of a pity that my mashed potatoes and the vegetables arrived cold however I'm giving 5 stars for the overall experience. Good service. Cosy place. Worth the stop.

A very cozy place, entrance may be hard to see. A narrow corridor which looks very cozy and immediately gives you a cozy atmosphere. Should you be in the neighborhood I definitely recommend this place, also the service is very neat and fast.

Located in a courtyard what makes it a nice and chilly place on earth days. You can even feel some wind breeze. Even though were the only clients, had to wait for service since all the staff was gone. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful. Foods were a nice surprise, something we haven't had yet. They were good, but would take them again. Liked the artistic composition of the food.

International airport
Airport
Brașov International Airport, also known as Brasov-Ghimbav International Airport, is a relatively new addition to Romania's aviation infrastructure. It offers scheduled flights from London (Luton) and Dortmund, Germany through Wizz Air. The airport is easily accessible via local company mini-bus services that can be booked online. Despite its small size, the airport boasts cleanliness and friendly staff.
It was quick. Immigration checks are very fast. Luggage came promptly. Free Wifi too with decent speed.

Small but almost new airport. Two security gates. There is only one apron, so no buses are needed:) 4 stars because there is not much space in the departure hall, so it's already crowded with just one plane. Maybe one day there will be a direct connection to Poland :)
Sebastian W — Google review
Extremely rude and inefficient people working there. Security is done manually despite advertising modern scanners - everything has to be taken out of the hand luggage. There are 3 gates, but there is not enough waiting space even for 1 flight (the only one at 11:00 to Dortmund), next flight in the schedule is at 17:15. No air conditioning. Limited facilities at the gate. Very uncomfortable 😳 , disappointing experience.

Been waiting for this airport for years so I am very bias in giving it 5 stars. So much easier than driving to Bucharest. Just now the airport is quite with only 1 to 2 main flights a day. Going through security was a breeze as was passport control. Airport is nice and small and currently no shops open just vending machines. Only 3 departure gates and seating past security sufficient for 1 major flight. Limited charging points for charging devices. However even although there are no shops or food courts past security they have a free water fountain with cups so well done for thinking about this. Great airport and may it be a great success however when its successful I can see challenges with capacity with seating being limited after security and even parking will be a challenge. None of this is an issue just now and so Happy to travel from Brasov airport

It is a simple airport. Perfect for the trips it offers. It would be nice to have a cafe inside. Maybe someday.
Ninette — Google review
The airport has become a real embarrassment, managed as if it were still decades in the past. The removal of the water fountain turned what used to be a normal, civilised environment into a typical example of poor local management. Staff are consistently rude and make passengers feel unwelcome. The designated smoking area door is propped open and blocked with a large ashtray, allowing smoke to fill the waiting area. After security, there’s no access to coffee, and the only “boutique” has a 45-minute queue for overpriced items. Overall, a disappointing and outdated experience.

Lovely little airport, friendly staff despite some of the reviews here. Hopefully, they’ll get as many flights as possible in the future. People from Brasov deserve and need this!
Alina T — Google review
The airport, even though is small, is very modern and one of the most aesthetically pleasing airports I’ve ever been to. Unfortunately, the rating comes from customer service. For some reason when approached with respect and kindness in return you get an attitude and a rude tone, as if you made them go to work. I’m specifically talking about the lady at check in number 8 at 19:00 on the 15/08/25.
