Restaurant
If you're looking to dive into the rich flavors of Bosnian cuisine, Restaurant Šadrvan in Mostar is a must-visit. Nestled near the iconic bridge, this traditional eatery offers an array of classic regional dishes served in a charming and authentic manner. The waitstaff don traditional attire, enhancing the cultural experience as you savor your meal from rustic metal dishes that reflect local customs.
Absolutely amazing restaurant. I loved how the waiters wear traditional outfits. They were so friendly and helpful. The food was unbelievably delicious, the best of my trip. Unbelievably delicious that I couldn't say which one was my favorite. I could have it every day! The atmosphere is so relaxing and makes the experience that much better. The prices are super. It was around 12 euros for one people. 100% recommend!

Wow this was a fantastic meal and a real taste of Bosnia. It was very busy but we were found a nice table when it came available. The good was fabulous and we went on the recommendations of the server and we are glad we did. There were little tastes of everything. The baklava to finish was perfect also.
Matthew R — Google review
This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide, and it did not disappoint! The staff was extremely helpful. When we mentioned that we only had an hour to dine, they quickly arranged a spacious table for the two of us. Our food arrived exactly 15 minutes later, just as promised, allowing us plenty of time to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. We ordered a combination of meats for two, and everything was incredibly tasty with the meats prepared fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We visited Sadrvan restaurant in Mostar and were absolutely delighted! The atmosphere is authentic and cozy with a true national charm, and the service is attentive and friendly. We ordered vezirske mahmudije, Bosnian schnitzel, cevapcici grilled, Nacional plate and Klepe — every dish was incredibly delicious and generously served. What we loved most is that the food is prepared according to traditional recipes, full of rich flavors and aromas. A perfect place to experience real Bosnian cuisine in the heart of Mostar. We will definitely come back again!

There was a slight hiccup when ordering (the only negative experience) but other than that it was kinda worth the wait. Was skeptical about this place at first but the food is actually good. We got the skewers and fish. Skewers were seasoned sooo well, and the fish was fresh. Portions were great too! Had their chocolate pancakes for dessert. Great way to end the evening. P.S: We had an early dinner (5PM+). Anytime later and it’ll be difficult to find a table.
Aalia A — Google review
Excellent food. We’ve been eating cevapi since we’ve been here in the Balkans almost daily but this one really stands out. We got the national plate and it was more than enough for two. The Bey soup was amazing, really soothing creamy chicken broth esp for a breezy rainy day like today. Fruit cup was great with a lot of apricots apples and some dates and topped off with ice cream and almonds. They didn’t have any drinks except filter coffee. Would have liked to ended it all with some hot tea but it was closing time and perhaps they didn’t have any more drinks at that time. Overall we loved it and would highly recommend it. There was a line as it seems to be hugely popular with tons of reviews
Furquaan I — Google review
Had one if the best lunches while in Bosnia and Herzogovina here. The place is aptly located near the old bridge and has a good feel, with the employees dressed up on local attire. We order the national plate Sadrvan, and got a taste of everything. It is more than enough for two people. The service was amazing and they accept card.
Amruth M — Google review
Serene spot with lots of shade so you can sit outside without directly being in the sun. We had breakfast menu (sunny side up) and they prepared it exactly how we asked for. The cevapi, and eggs both were great with the bread being really fresh.

Restaurant
Tima - Irma is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Mostar, offering a delightful taste of Bosnian cuisine. Known for its exceptional barbecue dishes, this cozy spot is popular among both locals and tourists. The menu boasts a variety of grilled meats and traditional sides, providing a truly authentic dining experience. Additionally, visitors can savor the renowned Pita pastry at Pekara Asim, famous for its delectable fillings and flaky crust.
Hands down the best food we’ve had in Mostar that we came here twice in our short couple day stay. Food was very tasteful, the platters with veggies and ajvar/kajmak pair perfectly with the meal. Our server with the dark hair the second time we came back could have been friendlier and more attentive but nonetheless amazing food and cute space. Would definitely recommend.
A — Google review
We visited on our first night in Mostar to try the national dish (Cevapi) and it did not disappoint. It was well cooked and served quickly. The staff did not speak much English (not that I expected them to) but there was little difficulty. We arrived early to ensure that we would get a table and waited around 10mins for an outside table (by choice) so that we could overlook the street.
Aimee F — Google review
Incredible, the best, thank you so much. We have been treated so kindly, served very quickly (after we had a seat, so be prepared that others want to enjoy the place too :)), and loved the food prepared for us. You get a lot in amazing quality so the only thing I find a little sad is that probably lots of people can’t eat it all. I will have the rest that can be taken home tomorrow. Highly recommended.
Gina G — Google review
THIS IS THE SPOT! Overly generous portion of food, SO DELICIOUS, always packed and a locals favorite! The plate for 2 was more like a plate for 4 so go with an appetite. The local Wine selection was also delicious, be prepared for a little wait but well worth it!
Melanie G — Google review
The most authentic place in mostar… for many reasons, the hospitality, the food the people both mother and daughter was extremely friendly and funny.. I actually found the place because of taste atlas list for best cevapi in the world, it has the 8th place for a reason 😀 As a balkan green guy i can totally appreciate this place. Recommended 100%
Panos 8 — Google review
The food was really delicious at least for the adults, our kids didn’t enjoy it as much. However the staff is not as welcoming and the server was needlessly hostile for some reason. I asked for a toilet to wash my hands and she threw some wet wipes at me and said there is no toilet. Good food bad vibes.
Simo H — Google review
One of the best culinary discoveries in Mostar! The food at Tima – Irma was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS – every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and clearly made with love. The portions were huge – so much so that we had enough leftovers for lunch the next day! 😍 A special thank you and heartfelt compliments to Mrs. Irma – watching her work with such speed and energy was truly impressive. The passion and dedication she puts into her cooking is something rare and admirable. Greetings from your happy guests from Poland! 🇵🇱❤️

Best cevapi we’ve ever had. Ordered 5 portions of it. They raise their own cattle so all the meat comes directly from their own farm. The daughter of the owner was incredibly nice. Highly recommend when in Mostar!

Konoba Taurus

Mentioned on
+1 other list
$$$$cheap
Restaurant
Konoba Taurus is a restaurant with a beautiful old building, its very own bridge to hang out and enjoy drinks, and excellent European food. It's situated on the creek near Crooked Bridge so it has a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
We followed the recommendations from one of the YouTuber, and the food is delicious, price is very reasonable in the area. Although we cannot really enjoy our meal because we are in a tour and just had 1 hours left. The portion is huge and we can only finish 1/3 of the food, we have the rest take away. It will be another 2 meals for 2 of us. The Bosnian coffee is great too. Highly recommend.
Lav L — Google review
The views are great it’s a bit off the Main Street so it’s so busy. We had a great experience. We went right at the end of lunch to the chef and staff were eating so we had to wait for them to finish. That to me was pretty cool to see. Food was great
Jacqueline K — Google review
My family and I love Konoba Taurus. We go every time we are in Mostar. The location is beautiful near the river, with plenty of seating inside and outside. The ambience is so cozy and the service is warm and friendly, like if you are visiting old friends. We like that they offer local dishes and the food is so fresh and tasty, we have been at different restaurants in Mostar and this is definitely the best one. I highly recommend Konoba Taurus.
Rosa G — Google review
By far the best seafood you will find in Mostar, alongside traditional cuisine dishes which are also amazing. The place is run by a local family who put their focus on high quality ingredients, as well as the lovely and welcoming atmosphere. The place is located in the heart of the old town and you get to enjoy the most beautiful views. Highly recommend it!
Belma C — Google review
This small family run eatery is the best restaurant me and my partner have eaten at during our entire 7 days in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It sits quietly outside the main tourist routes but serves food that warms the cockles of our heart. The grilled calamari was extremely fresh and tender. The Mućkalica, a stew made of barbecued meat and vegetables, was comforting and came piping hot. We also had the delicious Salma, leaves rolled around a filling of minced meat and grains. This restaurant also serves the local beer Mostarsko in draft. An additional plus for those looking for cold beer in the summer! Best of all, the older gentleman running the place is extremely kind and friendly. He gives off a warm grandpa vibe and welcomes you with open arms. The restaurant is also located right beside the scenic and smaller crooked bridge, the underrated bridge in my opinion. Even typing this review now brings back good memories of our trip. Please stop scrolling and just go for this small charming restaurant that serves food that is cooked with love!

The hidden restaurant near the bridge. Nice food and services, they have 3 languages menu. We cleaned the plate completely😂

The fish and seafood platter and black risotto were absolutely delicious. Portions were generous and every bite was a delight. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. We also enjoyed a carafe of homemade white wine which was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. The service was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great seafood, fair prices and a wonderful dining ambience!

Terrace Lagero is a charming dining spot nestled in the vibrant heart of Mostar, just a short stroll from the iconic Stari Most bridge. This restaurant boasts an inviting outdoor seating area that offers breathtaking views of the river and the famous bridge, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal while soaking in the scenery. The interior features traditional decor with rustic wall hangings and wooden furnishings, creating a warm atmosphere for diners.
Best meal and best views in Mostar. We had the perfect lunch here, and we were so happy we waited for a table, as it was completely worth it - as we didn't have reservations, they told us they would keep the next table ready for us in 15-20 min, and it didn't take over 10 min. So best to book a table, but worth to wait too! Delicious food, good house wine, great service, and mesmerising views of beautiful Neretva river and of course, The Old Bridge, which felt like a perfect desert for the eyes. Amazing experience! Totally recommended. ♥️🤌
Ana S — Google review
We had an amazing experience, the trout was very tasty, after our meal we had a nice Bosnian coffee with baklava. The restaurant has a nice view of the river, and even if you sit inside, the interior is beautifully decorated, reminding you of a traditional house. Our waiter Denis was an amazing server and did an immaculate job. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. Definitely recommend!
Uğur E — Google review
Amazing experience! We were a large group of over 10 people, they set us in their terrace which has nice views of the bridge (check the photos, taken from there!) and we had a great time. Food was good, they have a nice grill, and the prices are fair (btw, no card accepted). The waiter was the best, super nice guy, welcoming, explained everything, checked frequently how we were doing... Definitely would recommend this place!
Gabriel V — Google review
I found this place on Google by the reviews, and I wasn’t disappointed. The spot offers a stunning view of the bridge and the river. The staff is very welcoming. I ordered fish with vegetables and a local white wine. The wait wasn’t long. The dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. The atmosphere is incredible both outside and inside. Definitely worth a visit — you won’t regret it!
Alina D — Google review
Incredible meal, amazing service and the best views. We got the sharer for 2 and it was absolutely delicious. Our server Dennis was brilliant - best service we’ve had in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Very friendly, personable and attentive. We were seated on the terrace and the view was beautiful. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re staying in Mostar!
Rebecca P — Google review
I visited Terrace Lagero last year and then in Sept this year went again. I think the quality was better in my previous visit but I still enjoyed the view and the chicken skewers. Portion is generous and nothing can beat the view over the river. Coffee unfortunately tasted quite bad like it was reheated too many times. Service is always friendly and welcoming.
Georgie — Google review
No Kidding. Denise is the best server in Mostar… He is always there and attentive to see if you are enjoying every moment. Food is great and local Great atmosphere and The view has no word to explain…
Javier M — Google review
Saw this place had great reviews on Google so came to try it out. I can honestly say the food was the best we have had in Bosnia which an amazing view of the bridge. The staff were super kind, always making sure everything was ok while also giving us space. I would highly recommend Terrace Lagero to anyone, you won’t be disappointed.

Restaurant
Hindin Han is a popular restaurant located in the heart of Old Town, offering a lovely view of the Radoblja River. The restaurant retains an old school charm with its picturesque riverside location and refurbished historical home building. It is best known for serving traditional Bosnian dishes, including meat platters, vegetarian options, and authentic seafood dishes like eel and lobster. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating overlooking the water during the summer months.
Excellent food and flawless service. The stuffed calamari was one of the best that I had so far, despite not being in a coastal town. My mother loved the meatballs she ordered. We both very much enjoyed the bread and fries, two basics not everyone gets right. Their draft beer is fine, basic but does the job. Service was perfect. People seemed genuinely happy, which is way better than anyone faking an interest in a customer. A good view as well. This place is a highlight in Mostar!
Mustafa K — Google review
Delicious food, a variety of local specialty dishes and wines. Huge portions! High turnover of tables, worth booking- we just booked as we passed an hour or so before dinner. Friendly service, but the waiters were very busy.
Sarah M — Google review
Had a lovely experience at Hindin Han in Mostar. The food was tasty and the service was excellent, the staff were attentive and welcoming throughout. We tried a couple of dishes, but after seeing and tasting the quality, I’d definitely recommend going for the mixed grill as the best option. Great spot overall for a nice meal in Mostar!
Foyzur R — Google review
The perfect spot for lunch on our day trip to Mostar with generous portions. The fried bread, cheese, and meat appetizer was incredible and so flavorful all around. The cevapi and cheese stuffed ground beef were perfectly cooked, well seasoned, tasted wonderfully of the grill. The view of the river and old town was beautiful and the staff was friendly with great recommendations.
Brandon K — Google review
Hello, the food was delicious but a bit salty, I would recommend the mix grilled platter. The chips were generously seasoned and the portions were crazy large!!! And decently priced. The seating and atmosphere of the overall restaurant was perfect, beautiful views with lovely background music but some flies. Service was okay, there were no major issues. Would I recommend to you? Yes.
Sophie T — Google review
Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the river and hillside! They serve fantastic local Bosnian dishes. I had the mixed grill for lunch and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. A friend recommended this place to me, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Mostar!
Kris — Google review
I found this by accident and truly happy that I have found the resto. As it’s not located at the beginning of the gate to the old town, there were fewer guests but everything was just so good. There is space just along the river, food was so good and cheap and served generously. I ordered the truite fish dish and it came with 2 fishes - really huge portion and very good, wine was good, everything was good. I highly recommend!
Trang N — Google review
Very good location, pleasant look, service by friendly staff who speak very good English! Honest and tasty soups (especially Begova Corba) but the meat very salty and not very tasty (I've eaten in Bosnia in about 10-15 different places but here the meat just wasn't what it needed to be tasty)! Nice atmosphere, clean and spacious location! Payment can be done by credit card!

Nestled in a quiet alley near the famous Old Bridge in Mostar's Old Town, Food House Mostar offers a peaceful escape from the bustling streets. Shaded by a fig tree, it provides a serene setting to savor traditional Herzegovinian cuisine alongside contemporary innovations. Whether you're craving local dishes, pizza, or a cheeseburger, this restaurant has something for everyone at reasonable prices.
Our tour guide recommended this Bosnian restaurant in Mostar, and it did not disappoint! The service was super fast, and the food was absolutely delicious. The eggplant was amazing, and the dessert was a perfect finish. Highly recommend!
Milagros C — Google review
The waiters where very nice and recommend us to share some things if we wanted to try different meals of the Bosnian cuisine. The food tasted delicious and it didn't take long before they served us what we order. If you visit Mostar, this is a "must go place".
Víctor ( — Google review
This restaurant doesn't at first look particularly inviting, but the food is really good and our waiter was excellent. He helped us choose what was right for us and cautioned us against over ordering, which was very refreshing. The dip board was very tasty and we followed this with the grilled meat platter. They only list one white wine, but this is a good local wine.

🌯 Food House Mostar: Quick & Delicious! Our guide recommended Food House Mostar, and wow, they were right! The falafel wrap and salad were genuinely great food—the wrap was especially tasty and well-flavoured. Service was quick, making it perfect for a busy day of sightseeing. Bonus points for the excellent vegan/vegetarian options and the fresh juice, which was spot on and super refreshing! Highly recommended stop in Mostar.

We visited Food House Mostar on a day trip from Dubrovnik (22nd August) and ordered the Sultan’s Feast. Absolutely delicious and a great way to try traditional Bosnian dishes in one meal. The service was fast, friendly, and very attentive. Great food, warm people, and a memorable stop in Mostar. Highly recommend!
Cherry A — Google review
As recommended by our tour guide, the Sultan's feast was a 20 euro selection of various meals from the region. For being in the city centre it was reasonably priced with a good portion size to it, and it only took 10 minutes from ordering to service.
Jake A — Google review
Delicious traditional food! We shared the Sultans feast (for 2) and some side dishes among three people. I thought the price was very fair and so, so tasty! The atmosphere was really nice as well. You’ll definitely get full!
Julia — Google review
I chose this restaurant because it was a bit off the main tourist route. Could easily find a table outside, there are tables inside as well, air conditioned. Food was tasty, Bosnian ottoman cuisine, liked the Imam bayildi and yaprak, recommended. The waiter was friendly, but a bit slow, had to remind about attention. Otherwise, overall liked it.

You might think you don’t need fried dough for breakfast, but you’d be wrong! These delicious, warm, light and fluffy bites are wonderful with cheese and honey. Pair them with a rich, strong Bosnian coffee and you’ve got a great start to the day. Definitely recommended.
MVKUltra — Google review
Our first night in Bosnia and we were keen to try the local cuisine and Kaldrma was the place to go. Our waiter was very helpful, offered us the local food and wine and the traditional brandy shot before you eat. We sat on the rooftop balcony with a great view over the old town. Highly recommend the mixed platter of their traditional food.
Xtine H — Google review
Came in for the privacy and view of Old Town from upstairs. Best chicken salad of my life. Juicy veggies and tomatoes you can only get by growing your own. The grilled chicken had seen an actual grill. The sweet waiter gifted me a brandy in a Mostar shot glass, I think he was sad for me eating alone. Made my day :)

It is popular among both locals and tourists for its delicious barbeque dishes. The traditional Bosnian building housing the restaurant offers diners picturesque views of the iconic Mostar Bridge. The menu features specialties such as Cevapicici and Bosnian Coffee, providing a taste of authentic local cuisine.
We walked in and were let in and sat at our tables. The atmosphere was nice and the view upstairs was spectacular. The food was alright especially since the Baklava did have some nutshells in it. However the crepe/pancake and apple dish was delicious. I gave the service a 4 because I didn’t see enough to be able to rate it properly. Overall, a good experience.

A monumental eating and dining experience.. Sitting comfortably, the sun glistened and lit a green velvet blanket draped across a goliath rock formation. An old bridge arched to apex, connecting travellers from a far as water flowed smoothly beneath. White and orange brown dwellings litter the scenery and music plays softly. Kulluk's visual experience is trumped only by its delicious food and a coffee that will surprise.

Food was great, reasonably priced, and not busy at all. Sit on the terrace for great views. Their cat is also really nice.

Great food, one of the best places we've tried so far. We had the steak and trout with desserts. The atmosphere is relaxing with great views, especially on the terrace. Service was good and they take card payments too.

My wife and I stayed very close and ate here for dinner the first night. The service and food was extremely good, the best lasagne we have ever eaten out. We also left a tip and the waiter was extremely grateful. I would recommend Kulluck for the food and atmosphere, if we come back to Mostar I would definitely eat here again.

Sad to say, this place is overpriced, and the quality of the food is really awful, possibly the worst in the past few years I've been traveling in Bosnia. I've been here more than once, and this year (2024) I tried their pljeskavica, which was flavorless and greasy. The bread was the best part of the meal, in fact. I came for the view of Stari Most but honestly you could just walk here, take a few pics, and then leave. I wouldnt return until they improve the cooking.

The cevapi was not good at this restaurant. We tried it twice before in other locations but here it was not great. Yes the view is great but you can get the same elsewhere and get good food too. The drinks are expensive here and they make you pay cash only which is annoying especially because the other restaurants surrounding take card. You have to cross to the other side of the bridge to go the ATM. As well as this the waiters are not very nice and take the food off your table in a rush. He kept asking us and other people if we were finished.

As a solo traveler, first time in my life, I experience such horrible hospitality in a country after visiting 72 countries. In this restaurant, they don’t let you choose your table. I wanted to take a nice spot with a view and they say that I should sit somewhere else because I’m alone. They don’t have good ratings. No wonder why. And since I left the restaurant nobody took the table that I wanted. So, they wanted a big family for the table. Guess what, they didn’t get any during the time I’m sitting in another restaurant. You are bringing shame on your country.

The food was terrible, extremely greasy, and the portion was small — basically just fries and a schnitzel from the deep fryer. And very expensive. Do not go there :/

We were really let down by this place. The bread was stale, the fish was completely unseasoned, and the service was very poor throughout. For the prices they charge—higher than most—you’d expect much better quality and care. Unfortunately, we ended up having to eat somewhere else afterwards just to feel full. Definitely not somewhere we’ll be returning to.

I had a terrible experience at Restoran Teatar. Overall, the food was tasteless the meatballs had more garlic than meat, so it didn’t even feel like eating meat. The bread was stale, and the service was poor. We ordered green tea, but they brought it already steeped, after opening the tea bag themselves. It was extremely strong. Normally, packaged tea is served on the side so you can brew it yourself. This made me suspicious perhaps it had been used before and I couldn’t understand why it was brewed so much. We told them that everywhere else it’s served on the side and asked them to bring it that way. We returned the first tea, but the next one they brought was black tea in a packet. This made me even more suspicious — maybe they didn’t have green tea and simply reused an old one. To make matters worse, they added both teas to the bill, even though it was their mistake. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Avoid this place at all costs.

The place was beautiful but from the beginning it seemed that something was wrong, dirty tables, with a plastic tablecloth that does not clean. After ordering 2 simple dishes, we waited 50 minutes for them to bring us at least the salad.... The beer had become like hot urine until the food came. We were ready to leave hunger and waiting... Newly renovated airport. It has free drop off parking (first 5 minutes free) or 1,5€ per hour and a lot of parking spots available. Coffee shop available insade as well as washroom. Staff are very pleasant and I hope they keep up the good job.

Absolutely love this airport. Small but has absolutely everything necessary. The staff is very nice, two good restaurants. Also car rental service is fantastic, fast and easy. I really hope more companies will fly from and to Tuzla Airport. The airport tax has been removed even though I was happy to pay it.

One waiting room past security full of smoke. I never inhaled this much second hand smoke since the 90s. I cannot believe it is legal to force people to inhale this while waiting to board. This airport used to be worse so I give it 2 stars instead of one.

From the worst airport I've been to to one of the best! I was shocked and impressed coming back after the renovations, the service has improved, everything runs more smoothly. The only downside is you have to pay for WiFi still!

Small airport without any problems. Caution! You can pay only by cash in KM on the parking, and there is no currency exchange on the airport. Be ready for this.

Worst airport in Europe. Leaky ceiling, smoking inside is allowed, everyone is packed into a tiny room, and the worst of all: you need to pay a fee to use the airport! They provide no explanation and refuse to give you a receipt. It’s basically a civilised way to ask for bribes.

Rude border guards with no mind for service and probably wasnt taught how to behave from their mothers as the explode in one second only if you want to ask a question, Also they invented a airport tax wich is not listed anywhere, either on the website or when you buy the ticket. They also dont give you a receipt as they steal the money themselves. I rather not even give one star, but i had to.

After seeing all the changes at this airport since I have been using it since its very beginning I can only say congratulations. For a small airport, everything is present, from car rental to the restaurant, Duty. The evolution is surprising from "almost" a single check-in counter surrounded by props and an austere boarding gate with broken air conditioning (three years ago) and currently modern check-in counters and a colourful boarding lounge. I find it odd that "local" people can only get one star at this airport in its current state (staff and infrastructure), if they are so badly served, whether they spend 30 hours driving to Bosnia or whether they go to visit other airports, Berlin Tegel and Schönenfeld for example. For me, I put a 4 rating at 5 just to compensate for these 1 INJUSTIFIED ratings. Please Team Dubrave/Tuzla airport continue like this.

Sarajevo International Airport

International airport
Airport
Sarajevo International Airport is situated in the heart of the Balkans, serving as the gateway to the small yet culturally rich capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The city itself boasts a unique blend of diverse ethnicities and religions, creating a cosmopolitan atmosphere where Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Orthodox communities coexist harmoniously. This fusion of cultures has shaped Sarajevo into a captivating destination that seamlessly combines eastern and western influences.
Out of all the airports I’ve used while visiting neighboring countries like Montenegro, Albania, and Serbia, this one stands out as the best in my opinion. While it’s small and functional like the others, the overall experience was much smoother. From landing to picking up the rental car took only about 10–15 minutes. The airport also has SIM card counters, a few shops, currency exchange outlets, and several car rental options—making it surprisingly efficient and convenient.

I have no idea why there are negative reviews. It's a small airport, but everything runs very smoothly and simply. You drop off your luggage at the counter near the entrance, then head upstairs to the gates. It’s been the most practical airport I’ve used so far. There are plenty of seating areas both at the entrance and near the gates. I’m also sharing some photos. It’s built purely for functionality—don’t expect any fancy design.

Sarajevo International Airport deserves a full 10/10. After the recent rebuild, everything works excellent – the airport is clean, modern, and very well organized. Staff are polite, professional, and there are enough of them to ensure smooth service. The choice of destinations is rich and constantly improving, while check-in and security are fast and efficient. It truly reflects Bosnian hospitality and quality, making every traveler feel welcome from the very first step.

Small but modern airport. There is very little once you get through the gate—a decent duty free with some cute gifts for kids and a coffee shop that has horrible reviews. Customs was pretty fast and easy both entering and exiting, although I was on the first flight of the morning on the way out and there was only one lesson stamping passports so the line was starting to back up. The luggage check in area also looked crowded but I just had a carry on so bypassed that quickly.

Great little airport. My experience of landing and leaving in Bosnia from there was good. Quick and easy. The only thing that could be improved are the signs for the bus to the city centre. In my opinion it was hard to find and had to ask several people. Also there could be more buses as we had to waig 1 hour for the bus under 30 degrees heat with no shade :(

The designated smoking room near Gates 1–4 is causing significant exposure to secondhand smoke for non-smokers, including children. While it is labeled as a restricted smoking area, the current design is inadequate. The room is equipped with two basic swing doors that open directly into the departure lounge. These doors do not provide proper air isolation, allowing smoke to escape continuously into the waiting area. From a public health and safety standpoint, this design fails to meet the minimum standards expected for a contained smoking facility. Furthermore, the signage is faded and misleading. Although it states that only electronic cigarettes are permitted, in practice normal cigarettes are being openly used inside without enforcement. This creates an environment that is neither compliant with health regulations nor respectful of passengers’ rights to a smoke-free space. Urgent corrective measures are required to prevent further exposure of travelers — particularly children — to secondhand smoke in what should be a safe, clean airport environment.

A small but well-maintained airport with a smooth and efficient security process. Fast, reliable internet access and friendly, welcoming staff make the travel experience pleasant and stress-free.
Branimira P — Google review
Not a huge airport but serves its purpose well. Was under refurbishment in November 2024 so seating space in departure lounge was a little crammed. Eateries were a little hidden away and not closer to where passengers would hope to access them. However, overall not a bad experience. Views from departure lounge are stunning.
