Restaurante La Vaca Azul

Restaurant
Spanish restaurant
Restaurante La Vaca Azul is a charming oceanfront spot located in the picturesque village of El Cotillo. It offers stunning sunset views from its terrace, making it an ideal place to savor delicious seafood and housemade desserts. The restaurant is known for its fresh fish and seafood rice casseroles, providing a delightful dining experience with the possibility of watching fishermen arrive with their daily catch.
We loved La Vaca Azul so much we ended up going twice during our stay in El Cotillo! On our first visit, my partner spoke in Spanish to one of the lovely staff members (I don’t speak Spanish) and mentioned that he was planning to propose to me that evening. He asked if we could have a table for dinner after the proposal, but unfortunately they were fully booked. Instead, the kind woman suggested we come the following evening – and when we did, they had set up a beautiful table for us, making the night truly memorable. We shared a paella for two (highly recommend – perfectly cooked and full of flavour), and we loved it so much that two days later we returned for the fish of the day, which was equally delicious. Fantastic food, a gorgeous setting and staff who go above and beyond – a place we’ll never forget. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came here for lunch, and it was okay overall. Nothing spectacular, but it was nice to sit on the veranda and enjoy the breeze. The upper level is decorated in blue and white, which looks great and adds a pleasant vibe. We had fresh fish, which was fine—not bad, but not particularly memorable either. Hard to say whether it was the fish itself or the preparation. The salad was nicely presented, the croquetas were okay. The mango panna cotta was tasty, while the cheesecake was average.
Viktoria W — Google review
What a gem! Beautiful view (with sunset- ask for a terrace spot on the 1st floor), very good food (the squid was great, but also the vegetarian dish was very tasty), the personnel was the most attentive and friendly (they were also very good with kids and have a baby chair available). And all of that for a very affordable price. We’ve been here twice during our 7day stay because it was so good :) 12/10 recommendation!
Tom D — Google review
Had a very nice dinner here. They offer two vegetarian dishes that are extra listed as being without meat which was very nice. The tatin was very good, we were informed that it might take a while cause they make it fresh. The steak was good as well, ordered it medium but it arrived more like medium-rare. That wad totally fine though cause the quality of the product was very good and with the pepper sauce (big recommendation here) made a good dinner meal. Definitely try to make a reservation. We were lucky to get a table spontaneous but the waiter downstairs told us it was the only one available for walk ins this evening
Tina H — Google review
In El Cotillo, nice place right on seaside. We went for lunch and got a great table facing the seaside. Beautiful location and nice option in this area, and try to get a good table on the terrace. But, it seems to be pricing up for tourists, the moderately sized local fish was priced at 51 Euros for us, which is high compared to other seafood places in the area.
P P — Google review
We had lunch here on a day out in El Cotillo. We got there as it opened and were given an amazing table overlooking the sea. The food was exceptional and given the quality very good value. The menu is primarily seafood, so I’m not sure why it’s called The Blue Cow
Marcus A — Google review
Nice looking place to sit on the sea front plenty of tables, Moved on by staff due to only wanting drinks don't serve just drinks, all tables where empty at this time. Wife and 2 kids went around the corner to the next restaurant and sat and enjoyed a nice drink with friendly staff
Chris R — Google review
Beautiful view, great service, great food! We ordered gazpacho, puntillas de calamar (fried tiny baby squid) and a paella mixta (with seafood and rabbit). Todo riquísimo! I have a peanut allergy and they list all of their allergens in their menu and also noted it down when I mentioned it.

Mediterranean restaurant
Casa Santa Maria is a charming restaurant located in Betancuria, offering a delightful menu. The restaurant has garnered positive reviews for its serene and isolated ambiance, along with an intriguing interior that reflects the local heritage. Visitors have praised the helpful staff and the delicious flavors of the dishes served at Casa Santa Maria. If you're looking for a peaceful dining experience with great taste, this restaurant is worth considering during your visit to Betancuria.
It is a must visit restaurant if you are in Betancuria. The food was good. But the ambiance and atmosphere of this place are something special. Beautiful place!
Dana M — Google review
The 32 years old restaurant is housed in a 500 years old house that once belonged to the founder of the town. The space was absolutely beautiful with a lush garden courtyard to match. We had a plate of local cheese to start. The fresh goat cheese served with aloe jam. I am not a big person and this selection of 4 mild cheeses were yummy. We had the house special, braised lamb, with a sweet jammy sauce. It was delicious with the meat falling off the bones. We ended with an apple strudel with ice-cream. Service was good and attentive. We loved the experience in a truly beautiful space.
Kelvin C — Google review
Casa Santa María in Betancuria is a charming traditional place with an amazing historic atmosphere and beautiful decor. The food is authentic Canarian cuisine with incredible flavours perfect for anyone who wants to experience the true Spanish vibe. In my opinion, this restaurant is an absolute must have on your Fuerteventura checklist😛😍
Aleksandra M — Google review
Delicious Spanish food. The location is amazing, both inside and the terrace. The staff was very kind. The way to Betancuria is very nice. Try the fish and the house specialty if u come here.
Ana I — Google review
Loved the rack of lamb, totally worth it! Great wine and such a unique interior, like sitting in a museum.
Petra B — Google review
lovely little garden restaurant, we arrived earlier than the opening time but we're welcomed and had some amazing apple pie and much needed cold drinks!
Rebecca H — Google review
We stopped here for some lunch after a nice long walk around the hills and the village. The decor is amazing, with beautiful indoor seating and really nice outdoor as well. We sat on the balcony area overlooking the village, which was great. I had a cafe solo, the tuna starter, thin slices of meat and the fish of the day. Everything was delicious. My mates got the potatoes and they were a large portion. Staff were super friendly and service was quick.
Aaron O — Google review
In Casa Santa Maria I had the best food on the island. Additionally the interior of the restaurant appears like a little maze. Witth different rooms (inside and in the garden). All rooms are wonderful decorated in a historic style. The staff was very friendly. And from the terrace you have a good view over the historic town. I had the goat leg and it was incredible delicious. The price for the quality is fair.

I had heard about this place, so I thought I'd check it out, as I was passing! Wonderful coffee! And then I realised they have Complot IPA on draft!! I didn't eat here, but they brought snacks and olives out with the beers! I'll definitely be back!! 🍻¡Salud!

I recently visited this restaurant that, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations in terms of the food quality and overall experience. However, I do want to acknowledge the friendly waitresses who did their best to make our visit enjoyable. While the atmosphere of the restaurant was decent, the food left a lot to be desired. The dishes lacked flavor and were not prepared to the standard I was expecting.
Ade O — Google review
We came back to a newly opened citrus. It looks really amazing and the eating experience was again very nice! The smoothies were fresh and full of flavor. The “boring burger” was juicy and the tropical yoghurt tasty. Till next time!
Patrick B — Google review
Really good food and huge portions for a small price. My favorite was bbq ribs for a big hungry :) nice atmosphere. Breakfast option for 5 euros including juice and coffee it’s a good deal.
Michal S — Google review
The restaurant has a central location and the food is good. Furthermore, the prices are really fair and the waiters are nice. The internet is also good and ideal for working online. Definitely recommendable.
Leo A — Google review
Great interior design, very urban and stylish with a variety of interesting dishes. We will come back for sure (even though there is no more xevapi, pljeskavica and burek ) it is still great and very friendly staff. Well done!
Lila J — Google review
Really lovely staff and fantastic food, 2 minutes from the beach half the price, twice the quality definitely don’t miss this place. Great service from Sarah and Joaquin.
Oliver D — Google review
Not sure whether the place had recently had a refurb or had reopened but inside looked smart and fresh. Ordered pizza and gourmet nachos. Both very fresh and tasty. Smoothies were also very nice. Waitress was very friendly and service and price were great. We visited twice and will visit again when I come to Corralejo next time.

Tapas restaurant
Spanish restaurant
La Bodega de Jandia is a cozy establishment in Morro Jable, offering a selection of seasonal small dishes, wines, and whiskeys. This charming eatery on a cobbled street specializes in country-style Canarian cuisine. Although it may be distant from Corralejo, those who venture here will be rewarded with mouthwatering local delicacies like mousse de gofio and excellent tapas.
We would love to give 6 stars. Not sure what was better, Ramon’s service or the food. We had two wonderful nights in a row. Ramon was very welcoming and, already after the first night, it felt like having dinner at a friend’s place. Absolutely warmhearted, welcoming and also entertaining service. The food was amazing. Every single tapas we ordered was so delicious that during our first dinner we immediately made a reservation for the next day. If we had to pick the best tapas, it would be the pimento piquillo: Stuffed bell peppers with bolognese sauce. An absolute highlight. Make sure to order bread to finish the red creamy sauce that comes with it. Also make sure to order the mousse au chocolates. Even though we were stuffed we were glad we ordered it. A fantastic, light and delicious mousse to finish the meal. Now here should be the part where we highly recommend this place to anyone. I’d rather not and hope this place stays a hidden gem! Thanks again to Ramon and his fantastic team for two wonderful dinners that will be kept in memory for a long time. Greetings also from Miss Freda.

The best bodega in Jandía! The food, the drinks and also the staff is fantastic. Make sure to try the mix tapas and always ask for the Tataki. Just amazing! Ramon always finds the perfect snaps for you, the alcohol free strawberry gin tonic was great. An absolute must visit when in Morro Jable. (Reservation always needed!!)
Jascha M — Google review
One of the best tapas we ever had and we did not expect to find it in Morro Jable. The owner has so much passion for his food and you can tell how he carefully curates the menu. You must get the mini sausage, cod and iberico pork. Lovely sweet sangria, super affordable. We will recommend here to all our friends!
Kelly V — Google review
I'd saved this place on Google maps long before we arrived in Morro Jable but unfortunately I'd also saved loads of others and completely forgot about it until two nights before we were due leave, and only then it was because we happened to walk past it! I immediately asked Ramon if we could book either of the next two nights but unfortunately they were full for the following day and closed the next! As I walked away Ramon called out to give my Whatsapp in case of a cancellation, I wasn't hopeful....Thankfully the following afternoon I did get a message, so we managed to get a table that evening. The food was superb as was the wine (house red (Rioja) recommended by Ramon) and the service was lovely and slow as tapas should be. No rushing to clear tables to get the next lot in. This is a one sitting restaurant where either you choose your own dishes or Ramon will choose for you. Two couples sitting near us had been coming back here from the UK for 7 and 9 years so you can see how good it is. We had such a great evening and only wish we'd remembered it earlier in the holiday. Thank you

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely outstanding experience! We visited La Bodega de Jandía yesterday with my girlfriend, and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Every single tapa we tried was incredible — full of flavor, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the love and passion behind each dish. Ramon, the owner, made the evening even more special. He welcomed us like old friends, took the time to explain the dishes, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. His energy and hospitality give this place its unique soul. The atmosphere is cozy, authentic, and full of character — exactly what you dream of when looking for a true local gem. If you’re in Morro Jable, this place is an absolute must. We’ll definitely be back!
Aristeidis Z — Google review
We ate here last night and the food is amazing. Ramon and his staff make you feel so welcome and part of ‘his house’. We went with his recommendation for the tapas and my husband does not like fish so he did one meat and one fish (octopus) for me all tasted fabulous. The wine lovely. Highly recommend you try this place but make sure you book! Thank you Ramon
Marlene C — Google review
We share the same sentiment as all the other patrons. Ramón was a wonderful host and the tapas at the bodega were amazing!! If you are in Morra Jable, you need to make a reservation and eat at this restaurant. We particularly enjoyed the chorizo in red wine sauce, fried eggplant and the spareribs. We would’ve gone again but they were closed for the remaining time we were there. A must go!
Alkie C — Google review
A true must-visit in Fuerteventura! Ramon’s tapas are absolutely exceptional: authentic flavors, a warm welcome, and a beautiful setting. We even celebrated our daughter’s 5th birthday there, and Ramon was incredibly attentive. An experience you definitely shouldn’t miss.

Italian restaurant
Azzurro Chill Out Restaurant in El Cotillo offers a sophisticated beach club atmosphere with an extensive cocktail list and delectable food menu. The seafood platter and local goat cheese board are highly recommended. It's the perfect spot for enjoying tapas and drinks, featuring market-fresh cuisine and signature tapas. Guests praise the warm welcome, attentive service, high-quality dishes, and superb cocktails. This restaurant provides a wonderful experience with innovative dishes that tantalize the taste buds.
Fantastic food and great location with sea-view! My wife and I wanted to have some seafood in town. The place didn’t disappoint. Portions were small/medium size but the food was gourmet and delicious. Their risotto was an experience to try. They also offer a kids menu which is great given my kids are not too keen on seafood. Recommended!
Andrea A — Google review
Nice place. nice people (professional and attentive) .. BUT quite a rip off. Portions are not that abundant (if not scarce) and a bit limited in options. The team were really nice. €78 bucks for 3 dishes, 2 beers and a manufactured ice cream is out of the chart for the place and for what’s offered.
Eric B — Google review
Delicious (almost fine dining) level of food, very well prepared, a super nice mix of flavors. Amazing view especially during sunset. We ordered the pork and it was so tender it’d literally melt on your tongue!
Yannik S — Google review
We had a great experience eating here. Delicious views, tasty food, very friendly staff :)
Margo G — Google review
What a view, what a sunset on a lovely little beach. They have a beach bar on the beach for daytime drinks and snacks and then this great restaurant opposite to have mote drinks and delicious Italian food. We will be back and ideally book in advance
Lisa D — Google review
First time eating here and wasn't disappointed staff were really pleasant and helpful, I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the risotto with pork cheek both were absolutely gorgeous 😍 😋 and with a gorgeous veiw while you are eating definitely a favourite when we come back to fuerteventura ❤️
Carol W — Google review
Just a wonderful sunset meal. Pasta dish (beetroot pesto, burrata and pistachio) was outstanding. Meal of the holiday for sure. Negroni was great as well! Kids were also happy with their fish and fries and (off-menu) plain pasta with parmesan! Service was super friendly, very chilled vibe. Didn’t expect such high quality food from such a relaxed and simple environment - highly recommend!
Tim R — Google review
We return to Azzurro Chill Out every year and each time we find ourselves enjoying it even more. The food is simply outstanding. We highly recommend trying the ginger and orange mojito as well as the pasta served in a parmesan nest. That said, every dish we've tried has been excellent and the menu is regularly updated with new and exciting options. The location in El Cotillo is perfect, offering a relaxed atmosphere just a stone's throw from the sea. The service is absolutely top notch, warm, friendly and genuinely attentive. We enjoy it so much that we find ourselves returning multiple times every time we are vacationing in Fuerteventura since 2021. We are fortunate to have found this gem, and we highly recommend it.

Open from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, it's the perfect spot for late-night entertainment with live music and dancing. The menu features international comfort food, including fresh seafood, gourmet burgers, and exotic drinks.
Nice beach bar only had drinks, good view but a bit noise for me for an afternoon drink. Service was good, drinks especially the cocktails was very nice.
Stephen D — Google review
We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The location, close to the beach, is fantastic, and the design is beautifully done. The menu is extensive, and the food was good—especially the paella—though the portions were on the smaller side (I had the surf and turf). Unfortunately, the waiter spilled water on my shirt, which suggests room for improvement in the service.
Alfredo S — Google review
We had lunch here and it was incredible so came back for dinner and lunch again. The food is insane and so well priced. Cocktails were so yummy. Location is great and service is so quick and efficient
Mh987 — Google review
Walters dont pay attention to your needs. Have to wait long. But drinks are good. Nice seats on the beach, overlooking the ocean. If you are not in a rush, you'd probably enjoy a visit. Went back 16th of March. No waiter in sight. Waited 25 minutes and went inside to order. All staff was there. Couldn't order, girl walked out and told us they'd be right there. Waited another 15 minutes....left. disgraceful!
Mibo — Google review
Service is really rubbish. The only appealing aspect of this establishment is its interior design. We had reserved a table in advance and specifically requested a certain one, hoping to celebrate a birthday properly—, especially considering it’s off-season and the café wasn’t expected to be crowded. However, upon arrival, we were met at the door by a waiter who, in a rather condescending tone, pointed out that we were 10 minutes late. Our reserved table was already occupied, and although the café only had three tables in total, all of them were taken. The waiter remarked that “people pay money,” implying that we had come for free, which was both rude and inappropriate. He then refused to serve us properly, and unfortunately, he was the only staff member who spoke English, making communication difficult. We waited a very long time for our order. I can only imagine how long the wait must be during peak tourist season. All in all, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience, and we ended up ruining our evening despite paying for it.
Advocate B — Google review
The food was average. We had to return a steak that was cooked well done instead of medium rare. We ordered sauce (that the waiter said should be included but wasn't) that we didn't get until after reminding the waiter. We ordered three desserts and got two (the third arrived after a reminder). Clean and cozy place at a very nice location.
Per R — Google review
Nice location, lovely food and cocktails with friendly staff and speedy service. All for a reasonable price.
Tom — Google review
Very nice Restaurant with a great ambience but with problems with their service. We had dinner here with a group of friends and enjoy the nice looking ambience and the almost good food. Why almost - because our chicken on the Caesar Salad was not completely cooked (what is an no go!). Than when it comes to the sauce payment the service was not possible to find our food and drinks and just told me a self calculated amount without getting an bill ... this is NOT how service should look like. All in all I would give them a second chance, but not in these vacancy.

Restaurante Los Caracolitos

Seafood restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurante Los Caracolitos is located near the Salt Museum in Antigua, Las Palmas, Spain. It's a beachfront restaurant away from the typical tourist spots in Fuerteventura. The place offers quality pasta, seafood, and cocktails with a beautiful view of the beach. Visitors recommend trying their paella, shellfish soup, and fresh goat cheese as starters. The ice creams are also noteworthy for dessert.
Beautiful place, what a setting, so peaceful, we visited several times in Feb 2024, we mainly had snacks and drinks, but nothing disappointed. So much so, we have booked to go in march 2025, largely to visit here again. Simply magical. Fresh good food, with unbeatable views.
Ross ( — Google review
We visited this seaside restaurant hoping for a fresh seafood experience, and while the ingredients were definitely fresh, the flavors of the dishes were a bit underwhelming. Everything looked great on the plate but was missing that extra kick or seasoning that would really make it memorable. The location, however, is stunning — dining right by the sea made for a lovely atmosphere. The biggest downside for us was that the restaurant only accepts cash, which we weren’t prepared for. In this day and age, that was a bit inconvenient and caught us off guard. That said, the service truly stood out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It made a big difference and we really appreciated it. Overall, a good experience, but with a few improvements — especially to the flavor of the dishes and the payment options — it could be great.
Su N — Google review
Stunning location along the seafront in the small fishing town of Las Salinas. We drove and found parking easily but you can take the #3 bus from Caleta or walk 20/25 mins. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Let me practice my (very broken) Spanish and didn’t auto-switch to English for us. We had the sangria and mixed seafood paella to share. More than enough for 2 people for lunch and the produce was really high quality and flavoursome. Cannot recommend it enough and can’t wait to come back.
Heather C — Google review
Fantastic place. Lovely seaview. Service very friendly and food delicious. Ordered small starters. All very nice. I recommend the alcoholic canarian coffee dam tasty. Will be returning
Rudi L — Google review
We had a nice lunch at Los Caracolitos. Paela was tasty. The appetizer bread with the sauce was amazing — I could have eaten just that! Big thumbs up for it. The Spanish tortilla was not the best though. It was overcooked and hard inside. It should be softer and creamier. We also had a visitor — a black and white cat sat at our table and really wanted our chicken and fries. It made the lunch even more fun! Friendly place, good food. Just fix the tortilla and it would be perfec

Staying in Caleta de Fuste, I was desperate to find a nice traditional Spanish restaurant and this was most definately it. Lovely warm, family, local atmosphere with simple food nicely done. Ordered prawns pil pil and finally found proper, oily holiday chips. Lovely location on a local little beach. Not particularly cheap but totally worth it. You can get one bus a couple of stops here from Caste de Fuste, absolutely recommend!!! Note it is closed on the weekends and takes only cash.

Avenida Restaurante

Mentioned on
2 lists

Restaurant
If you're on the hunt for authentic Canarian cuisine, look no further than Avenida Restaurante in Corralejo. This hidden gem, slightly off the beaten path, is a favorite among locals and savvy tourists alike. Known for its generous portions and freshly prepared dishes, it offers an array of traditional meals that won't break the bank. Expect to find delightful seafood options like fresh fish of the day alongside hearty meat dishes such as beef goulash and succulent steaks.
When you’re on an island surrounded by the sea, you have to eat fish—no excuses. A blog pointed me towards Avenida, and the way they handle reservations (or rather, don’t) immediately intrigued me. No booking in advance—just walk in, give your name and the number of guests at the bar, and wait. First come, first served. One hour later, I had my seat. Despite dining alone, I wasn’t stuck at some awkward corner table. Instead, I was seated right in the middle of the restaurant, which added to the authentic, no-nonsense atmosphere. Nothing here feels artificially polished for tourists—and that’s exactly what makes it special. After a quick chat with the staff, I ordered half a portion of fish and half a portion of goat cheese. Except, let’s be real—their “half” portions are the size of a full meal elsewhere (or even 1.5!). Before my main course, I was surprised with (half) a baguette and a delicious mayo-based dip—completely on the house. Some places here charge for these little extras, while others just spoil their guests. The main course and house wine were awesome. By the time I left, I was completely full and ridiculously happy. The only downside? The service wasn’t exactly overflowing with enthusiasm. But honestly? That didn’t take away from the experience at all. If you love great seafood without the touristy fluff—Avenida is the place to go.
Mathias H — Google review
Nice local restaurant with a good offer of fish and meat dishes. Decently priced, huge portions. The food was a bit flavourless, missing some spices and life. The staff is not very kind and seems kind of sad, missing enthusiasm.
Dorian96 — Google review
Really good restaurant. The fish was very delicious. Dessert of the day was cheesecake made from goat cheese, which was equally delicious. The portions are big, the 1/2 portions were big enough for us (but we also had a salad as starter and baguette with allioli). It’s simply very good and delicious food, for a good price. Definitely recommended, one of the best restaurants in Corralejo if you ask me (and having stayed 5 weeks in Corralejo this year, I do have some experience here).
Dick ( — Google review
The food is good and the prices are fair (most meals 15-20€). We had fish skewer with potatoes and a salad. The fish was nice. But the salad could be a bit more and with a nice dressing than getting oil and vinegar for the price. The ambient has a nice tavern charme and the service was very kind. We‘d come here again.
Adi ( — Google review
Incredible. The mixed grilled fish platter is something else. I’ve never, in my life, had too much beautifully grilled fish to finish. Tonight was the night though. With wine for less than £25 pp. An awesome experience.
Tom T — Google review
This restaurant was recommended to us by one of the staff members at our apartment, we were told that it was good value for money and that the portion sizes were large. This was definitely true. All the seating is inside and although it was almost full it didn't feel cramped or too warm. The two girls serving could've been a bit more cheerful but they were professional and polite. The food was nicely cooked, probably one of the best meals that I had during my holiday. You can get two different portion sizes and I really should have gone for the smaller option as I couldn't finish it all. It came to less than 40€ for two of us including drinks We rounded it up to 50€ has it was worth at least that much. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Michelle W — Google review
Just had an amazing meal here, the food and service was first class.

The menu features an array of international dishes crafted with locally-sourced ingredients by a talented head chef who has honed his skills under Michelin-starred guidance. Whether you're in the mood for comfort food or innovative gourmet options, Cantante Café delivers quality over quantity.
This is a lovely little spot in the middle of a shopping arcade where we stopped for a spot of lunch one day we ordered 2 pizzas some fries 2 soft drinks and 2 beers. The pizza was nice although I ordered a ham and mushroom pizza and the ratio of mushrooms was off as you can see by the picture. Service was good and all the locals were talking to our server which made it feel very homely. At less than €33 for everything I feel like we got great value too.

Lovely staff very friendly. Food was nice , but prawns a little over cooked for our liking. Apart from that everything was great! Happy hour too

Great prices and food, atmosphere great, staff friendly and great views and live entertainment on a night.

Avoid at all costs !! Came here twice for food whilst we are on holiday, waiters and service is absolutely SHOCKING. Rude staff with no smiles. Slow service and at least one meal is ruined. Food is below average at best and the prices are terrible considering the state of the food. Can definitely find much better just next door or down the road.

We have eaten here several times having various items on the menu and have always been satisfied. They have interesting items on the breakfast list any of which I would happily recommend. It is a lovely place to sit and watch the sea while having a coffee or something stronger. Just one of our favourite places in Corralejo 🙂

Great range of food / choice. Arrived relatively quickly and was well presented. Tasty food and reasonably priced, too. Staff could have been slightly more attentative, as we had to stop them when we required anything. It's not a massive deal, though, and I would recommend. Great views out to sea added to its location.

Best English breakfast we had. Pool table too.

Rude staff and below average food. Very abrupt waiter during our visit shouting at us when he couldn’t understand what we was wanting to order. Definitely working in the wrong job if you have no people skills. Do not recommend.

Restaurant
The Ugly Duckling in Corralejo is a cozy Scandinavian-international restaurant known for its diverse culinary offerings. The Danish-owned gem serves up Nordic delights and international favorites, such as tender duck breast with whiskey and tarragon sauce, rich beef tenderloin with creamy mashed potatoes, and prawns in fragrant dill sauce. Situated in the old part of Corralejo, this small restaurant has gained recognition for its quality food and exceptional service.
Fantastic meal, was unsure at first because of the setting (but every oak tree starts as an acorn!) Relaxing and super hosting by Henrik. Carl was in the kitchen producing sublime dishes fresh to order. Nothing was a problem, we were not rushed being the last couple in the restaurant. We would happily have had paid more for the experience. We wish we found #the-ugly-duckling sooner as we would have eaten there a second time. All the best to Henrik and Carl and any member of team behind the scenes. Simple food, using quality produce paired with great wines. When in the North of Fuerteventura #theuglyduckling is a must to visit! Well done and best regards Henrik Larsson

Absolutely amazing resturant. Great atmosphere, unreal food and fantastic service. Well worth a visit, if I had visted earlier into the holiday I would have been there every night. Extra care and attention put into every second

If you are ever in Corralejo Fuerteventura, the ugly duckling is a must! from the beginning to the end the service was perfect, we felt really welcomed and appreciated. the food is amazing every dish we had we enjoyed to the fullest.

What an amazing restaurant, we ate here and liked it so much we booked for another night before we left. Henrik was so friendly and welcoming.

This is our new favourite place in corralejo, just sorry we only tried it on our last night. Every aspect is first class, you are welcomed individually, it is absolutely spotlessly lean and immaculately styled. The food is delicious but it is made and served with care and dare I say it, love. On our next visit to the island this will be our first night meal if they can fit us in at short notice. Thank you very much fellas

everything was just perfect here!! for starter we had the salmon on cremefraiche and dill with some really good bread beside then we got the stew and the duck for dinner and it was absolutely delicious!!! The waiter was soooo friendly and made our evening really perfect. Definitely a must when you stay in Corralejo and make sure to reserve in advance

On holiday for 1 week in Corralejo, and I like to try different restaurants rather than the generic do everything type places. Had some really great food at 3Calici and land of freedom to name but 2 but without a shadow my best meal was at the ugly duckling, about 7 euros in a cab from the main taxi rank in town. The menu if you look on line under sells the quality of their food. If you want to go I recommend trying to book before you come to avoid disappointment. I had the stew and it was unbelievable, but all the food on the tables around me looked equally impressive.

Transportation in Fuerteventura

Getting around Fuerteventura can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Fuerteventura Airport

Airport
Fuerteventura Airport is the gateway to an ideal kitesurfing destination in the Canary Islands. It's a quick and affordable trip, perfect for both kiters and non-kiters, including families. The island offers all-inclusive surf camps with wellness programs, yoga classes, and healthy menus. Explore the natural wonders of Fuerteventura's west coast and savor traditional tapas in El Cotillo on a chauffeured bus tour.
It's a big and modern airport. Well organized, clean and spacious. There is a dutty free zone with big brand stores and a couple of restaurants and coffee shops. Also, all around are spread the vending machines where you can buy water and snacks. The waiting areas are equipped with chairs - enough to accommodate the number of passengers. The last row of seats - usually - is equipped with sockets to charge devices.
Constantin G — Google review
The Fuerteventura Airport is truly impressive! The check-in process is extremely quick, allowing you to go through security and boarding without long waits. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, making the experience even more pleasant. One of the standout features is the exceptionally clean environment – everything is well-maintained and tidy. For food and shopping, there is a wide variety of restaurants and shops to choose from, catering to all tastes. Additionally, there are plenty of seating areas to relax comfortably. Overall, it's a very pleasant airport that significantly reduces travel stress!

Good facilities for people travelling with children, they have loads of playgrounds inside to keep kids entertain while waiting for the airplane. Toilets kept clean and tidy. Loads of seats available in waiting areas. Prices (expensive) but that's expected in a airport. Airports tend to be a nightmare but not this one, great experience !!
Sofia F — Google review
Nice and spacious, well maintained airport. Easy to navigate. Has plenty of well known brands shops and in Duty Free you can buy even a local product. No problem to find a free seat in the waiting area. Security check quick and smooth, personnel was well mannered and polite. Only one advice- toilets needs to be cleaned more often as in the midday one of the toilets wasn't very clean. Other than that - well organised and well maintained airport.
Ruta S — Google review
Excellent airport with efficient departures and arrivals. Special credit to baggage handlers who often deliver bags before you get to the baggage claim. The airport experience is let down by the car rental companies as it typically takes an hour to collect keys from the arrivals area. Queues move extremely slowly. Surely in the year 2025 it should be possible to use technology or the internet to make the car rental pick up less inefficient? If these car rental companies cannot operate efficiently then why can’t the airport authority impose service levels as a condition of their license so that they hire more staff to cope with the volume of customers?

Nice clean and spacious area Missing a good sandwich shop, the Duty free store is a disaster you are forced to use automatic scanners 1 of 4 working and pretty poor , also hard to find a decent selection of local wines . as per photo they are not classified, there are some decent small stores
Stephen K — Google review
Very nice and clean Airport. Good job (P.S. more smiles please) Border guard on arrival and departure don’t greet you or dont show any basic manners that every other guard shows in other airports.
Danny M — Google review
They kicked everyone outside at 1am left us in a bus stop next to the highway until it opens again at 5am. Transportation in general in this island is not safe at all

Lanzarote Airport

Airport
Lanzarote Airport offers flights to Spanish and European destinations, as well as a unique feature of volcano views. It also houses an aviation museum. Travelers can easily reach Teguise by renting a car or booking a private transfer from the airport. The airport is spacious and clean with cool interiors, but the prices at shops and food outlets are high. However, there is a good selection of food and plenty of seating while waiting for boarding. The security area can be chaotic at times.
Landed on a busy Thursday morning but as we had children, we were ushered by staff to a much smaller passport control queue which was very much appreciated. The baggage came without delay and we collected our rental car without an issue. All in all, a good experience 👌
Matthew B — Google review
Despite numerous bad reviews, I didn't have any issues breezing through the airport when arriving and leaving. Passport control was slow, but this has to be expected in a busy airport. Reasonably sized duty-free, and plenty of food places available. Nice outdoor area for smokers or those trying to catch the last glimpse of the sun. See you in a few months.
Craig P — Google review
Great airport with good facilities, good connectivity, warm and welcoming staff. The airport is not too big and is very easy to navigate. Facilities like kiosks, cafes, car rentals, etc. are right in the main hall.
SACHIT V — Google review
Great Airport. Nice friendly staff to help you with anything. Good sized departing areas. Good shops and plenty of food/drink areas. If you’re a smoker there is a smoking area for you.

Flew into and back from Lanzarote from this airport. Decent airport although could be better in terms of layout. Passport control was quick both ways and the shops were good.
Debakins2 — Google review
A busy airport but very efficient at processing the number of passengers coming in and out of Lanzarote. Good variety if eateries to cater for all tastes as well as a very well presented duty free section. Clean and tidy in all areas.
Stewart W — Google review
Arrived along with 7 other planes roughly all around same time. The queue for passport control was ridiculously long. There was maybe 8 or 9 machines but only 6 were being used as we got nearer the front then noticed x2 of the machines had stopped working. Meaning the queue lines had to take turns using same machines. We waited around an hour to get through this part. I do think if you had young children or needed assistance you were ushered through quicker. When arriving back at airport for departure long check in lines for luggage waited maybe 45 + minutes. Next part was quick for security. The main airport was crazy busy. The airport could be made bigger to accommodate the amount of people it handles on a day to day basis.
Elaine G — Google review
It is a small but pleasant airport. However, beware! We had a serious problem with an employee at the check-in desk for our Iberia flight to Geneva via Madrid. The staff member put apparently a wrong tag on our baggage but, despite our questions, assured us that everything was correct — which turned out to be false. As a result, our baggage was misrouted and never recovered. So be extremely careful when flying with Iberia from Lanzarote: double-check your baggage tag before leaving the counter, and don’t hesitate to ask again if you have any doubts.
