Maret in 4 days

If you only have 4 days to spend in Maret, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Maret, on Ko Samui’s southeast coast, is best known for Lamai Beach, which offers a broad sandy bay, swimming, and a more relaxed feel than busier Chaweng. Nearby sights include the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rock formations, the ornate red Wat Ratchathammaram (Wat Sila Ngu), and the large Guan Yu shrine. Visitors use Maret as a base for exploring inland waterfalls like Na Muang, coastal viewpoints, and island tours. The area has a good mix of mid-range resorts, beach bars, and local eateries while still feeling relatively low-key.
With favorites like Wat Samret, The Fisherman's Outlet, and Vitamin Sea, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Oxa and Kon Tiki - Beach Restaurant & Bar so you can get the best taste of Maret while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, also known as Hin Ta Hin Yai, are natural rock formations in Thailand that resemble male and female genitalia. Legend has it that they are named after an old couple who died at sea while traveling to arrange a marriage for their son. These unique formations have become a popular tourist attraction on Ko Samui, drawing visitors to the Fishermans Village along Bo Phut Beach.
Memorable excursion to one of the islands attractions. It's worth a visit. There are shops with local sweets and coconut ice cream, and you can take a dip to cool off after climbing around the natural rock formations.
J M — Google review
The location is nice and some people may enjoy the experience here. However, in my opinion, there are many other attractions in Samui that offer more unique and memorable experiences. If your time on the island is short, I’d recommend prioritizing other places first.
Rave G — Google review
The famous grandmother and grandfather rock resembling the private parts of male and female. The rocks are naturally like this. Good spot for picture. Must visit
Zaid R — Google review
⭐️ Hin Ta Hin Yai (Grandfather & Grandmother Rocks) We arrived by taxi — entrance is free and it’s easy to walk around and explore the rocks. You can climb carefully, take amazing photos, and even jump into the water for a quick swim! There’s a small local market nearby with food, drinks, and souvenirs. The area is clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. Don’t miss the coconut ice cream served inside a fresh coconut with a red flower on top — it’s a must! 🍦🥥🌺 #KohSamui #Thailand #HinTaHinYai #IslandVibes #TropicalParadise

It's a nice site to visit which offer a great ocean view and the smiling Tour Guide showed us the Grand Father and Grand Mother Rocks.
Michou K — Google review
Nothing special just some rock shape, and local market stuff. Good view but nothing special to spend your time on, try to visit a few other places before coming here.
Rachan S — Google review
Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks are definitely one of those must-see spots when you're in Koh Samui. Known as the “Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks,” the formations are famous for their unique, naturally shaped appearance — you’ll understand the name as soon as you see them! 😄 The area is small but scenic, with the rocks set against a beautiful coastal backdrop, perfect for a quick photo stop. There’s a viewing platform and some nearby stalls selling souvenirs, drinks, and local coconut ice cream, which is perfect on a hot day. It doesn’t take long to visit, but it's worth stopping by if you're passing through Lamai. Aside from the funny shapes, the local legend behind the rocks adds cultural interest. Parking is available, and the spot is easy to access — just a short walk from the entrance.

Cool place to stop and grab a few photos. Also a good amount of shops and the shakes aren't trying to rip you off

Lamai Fresh Food Market, also known as the Sunday Lamai Street Market, is a vibrant and bustling market offering a wide array of local delicacies, exotic fruits, and souvenirs. Visitors can enjoy street performances while indulging in grilled octopus and fried insects or browsing through the various kiosks selling an assortment of mementos.
Great place, definitely worth a visit! Stand with local food, veggies, fish and meats. Great quality for a fraction of a price in the even most local restaurants! Definitely recommended!
Michał — Google review
I love fresh food markets. I make sure that every place I visit, I take out some time to go to their fresh food market. This helps me understand the regional culture, their food habbit and also gives me a golden opportunity to eat what locals eat there. At Lamai I found one of the tastiest coconut pudding along other Thai foods. The range is crazy.. and the taste of freshly cooked food is probably the best. There is variety of vegetarian options available as well.
Abhishek B — Google review
From a vegan perspective, there's not a lot here. You can get salad rolls for 50 bhat, but the rolls have no mint, no tofu, no cilantro/coriander. And the sauce is mayonnaise. It's all rather tasteless. There are some juice and shake stands and mango sticky rice is of course available, but for vegans you have better options almost anywhere else in town.
Ahimsa K — Google review
Small but interesting market. We found the food alright, perhaps we went in the afternoon and so stalls were closed. The fruit juices at the end of the market were good and the coconuts were so sweet! Venture here for some local market visiting and action, we bought some sauces for a fraction of the prices at TOPs.
Itsrui — Google review
Always fresh and good food. After trying different things at the market, I came back to some sellers 2-3-4 times during my vacation and recommend checking them out: papaya salad stand and seafood grill, they stand next to each other. Literally best papaya salad on the island and good price and fresh seafood. For seafood it is very important to not overcook and they always deliver it (in my experience not all expensive restaurants in Lamai did it especially for squid and charged x3 price). I also liked mango sticky rice booth (the one who only selling it and mango smoothie), fruit conner with freshly cut fruits for 35-40, coconuts for 60. In general go and explore this place.
Maria — Google review
Best places to have cheap and big portion of local thai foods. You will found fried fish, thai sausages, and typical thai food for around 60 to 100 bth for big plates of fried chicken/pork

Flea & Street Markets
The Sunday Lamai Street Market is a vibrant night market, often referred to as a "walking street" by locals. This lively spot comes alive with an array of food stalls offering everything from savory Thai dishes to seafood delights, though vegetarian options may be limited. The atmosphere buzzes with energy, featuring street performances and various shops selling souvenirs, clothing, and accessories. To avoid the crowds that peak before 8 PM, it's advisable to visit later in the evening for a more relaxed experience.
Amazing street market on Sunday. All these different street food stalls and little shops. There is a really nice laidback vibe and the food is delicious. I wish this market was here every day, so I could eat and try more different dishes.
Jorrit M — Google review
Exciting Sunday night market with many stalls selling yummy street food, clothing, accessories etc. Very crowded before 8pm. Go after 8 pm if you want less crowd. There was some interesting street performance at one of the intersection too. There's also a big Tesco nearby too.
Alex P — Google review
It's a night market and Thai people call it "walking street". It has many food stands, Street performances, street bars and many shops of Souvenirs. Food items were not costly. There were many options to try from veg to non veg to sea food. But yeah not too many options for a vegetarian though. You might face parking problem as it is very crowded. Better to go with taxi or motorbike. I would definitely recommend this beautiful and lively place.

Lamai Beach, located on the picturesque southeast coast of Koh Samui, is a tropical paradise that perfectly blends relaxation and adventure. This stunning stretch of white sand is adorned with swaying palm trees and lined with an array of bars and restaurants, making it an ideal spot for sunbathing or enjoying a refreshing drink. Visitors can rent lounge chairs to soak up the sun while taking in the breathtaking jade-green waters that are safe for swimming along most parts of the beach.
Chill beach where you can actually swim without crazy waves like other spots on Samui. Long stretch of sand, great vibes, and perfect for just kicking back and relaxing
Benjamin L — Google review
Lamai Beach was a good spot for a swim. The water was clear and calm when I went. It was easy to just float around and relax. It wasn't too crowded either, so I didn’t feel like I had to dodge people all the time. Overall, a nice and simple place to spend a few hours in the water.
Fachri J — Google review
Lamai Beach is the best option on Koh Samui for travelers seeking tranquility without isolation. It’s long, clean, and famous for its calm, clear, and relaxing water, making it perfect for safe swimming. Key Highlights: Atmosphere: Laid-back and quieter than Chaweng, ideal for families and couples, or solo like me!! Dining: Abundant beachside restaurants offering fabulous, budget-friendly food right on the sand. Convenience: The central town is steps away, offering the vibrant Lamai Night Market, many 7-Eleven shops, local restaurants, and massage parlors. Lamai has several fantastic budget-friendly options, especially if you venture slightly off the main beachfront strip. Best For: Independent travelers and those who want convenience and charm over clubbing and chaos.

A nice quiet beach with lots of great restaurants cafes and massage places. It’s a lot more relaxed than most other beaches on Koh Samui

Considered 2nd Most Beautiful Beach 🏖️ It has soft white sand and clear blue water, great for swimming and fun activities.

peaceful and calm🌊preferred this much better than crystal beach, the beach is very wide and spacious plenty of umbrellas/ seats to rent
Puns A — Google review
My 5th time to Koh Samui, I used to always head to chaweng beach, but now much prefer the more chilled and less busy lamai beach. Easy to find bars and restaurants, good to swim and even better to chill and take it all in.
Geordie A — Google review
Lamai Beach is where Koh Samui’s easygoing spirit truly comes to life. It’s got that perfect mix of laid-back charm and just enough buzz to keep things interesting. The sand stretches wide and soft beneath your feet, the kind that feels cool even under the afternoon sun. The water is warm, clear, and calm enough for a long swim, with little beach bars and cafés scattered along the shore serving cold drinks and fresh fruit smoothies. As the sun starts to dip, the whole beach glows gold, and it’s hard not to just stop and take it in. Locals play guitar, couples walk the shoreline, and you might catch the faint smell of barbecued seafood drifting through the breeze. There’s a balance here—tourism without the chaos, energy without the noise. It’s friendly, familiar, and open, like a summer night back home in Canada but with palm trees swaying overhead. At night, the beach transforms—restaurants light up with candles and fairy lights, and there’s always a live band or fire dancer somewhere down the sand. Lamai isn’t about rushing or chasing—it’s about being present, feeling the salt in the air, and realizing you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Waterfalls
Na Muang 2 Waterfall is situated in the southern part of Koh Samui's ring road and can be easily accessed by following a sign directing to the waterfall and Na Muang Safari Park. Visitors have the option to either take an off-road jeep from the safari park or follow the road up to reach the waterfall. It is part of a park that also houses Na Muang 1, known as the 'Purple Waterfalls.'
Beautiful walk through the mountain. It's quite challenging, with some sections precarious. There are lot of ropes around to help both the way up and especially down! If you keep going, and guess your way up the mountain a bit, you'll be treat to spectacular views and a very cold mountain waterfall, perfect place for a swim and to sit and just watch. Has a lovely bar at the bottom with a friendly dog.
Mark C — Google review
The hike up the waterfall takes about 40 minutes, but the view is definitely worth the effort. Some tourist tips: 🔅Better to arrive early in the morning to enjoy the view peacefully and take photos. We got there by 9 a.m. —there were only a couple of people at the top and a dog😁 By 10.30 a.m. it was already crowded, and the vibe wasn’t the same anymore 🔅Bring water with you (you can buy it at the start of the trail) and insect repellent (!!) —we got literally hundreds of mosquito bites along the way 🔅 Wear sneakers and casual clothing, as at some point the trail ends and you need to climb over rocks We came by scooter, free parking
Katerina V — Google review
Walk through the jungle is nice - if you time it right! Lots of jungle tours operate, so you might be caught in a big crowd. The waterfall itself is just a trickle of water, but must change from season to season (!?)… I saw people in flip flops that could’nt continue! I’d advise to Wear trainers as it’s steep and slippery! Enjoy!! If you can get the trail to yourself, it’s beautiful!
Tessa S — Google review
We enjoyed a few minutes by this waterfall. Not many other people were there and we weren’t charged for entrance or parking. I didn’t see any mosquitoes but we had a ton of bites appear the next day, come prepared just in case. Steep roads to get there but totally doable for experienced scooter drivers. Definitely not deep enough to swim. About a 5 minute walk from nearest parking.
Yaro S — Google review
About a 45-minute trek from the parking lot for cars. Very steep so definitely bring sneakers or other appropriate footwear. Do not do this hike if you are not in decent shape. Fairly treacherous at points. A cool waterfall to bathe in as your reward! Don’t forget bug spray.
Melanie F — Google review
I hope everyone see my comments don't pin to Waterfall, Google will take you the wrong Pin to elephant Kingdom Safari. When you reach elephant Kingdom turn right and ride a motorbike across the mountain for about 700 meters and you will arrive. And I recommend wearing sneakers and long pants with mosquito repellent spray if you don't want to have a fatal slip accident die and get bitten by mosquitoes. I want you all to be very careful about wearing shoes and walking. Thank you.
Lele L — Google review
Just awesome. Drive up with your moto to the second parking. That a right at the information centre. Walk up to the bar and cross the water there. Keep the waterfall on your right during your climb. You will reach the viewpoint where you can shower and bath in a he waterfall.
Arnaud K — Google review
⚠️ Warning: Life-threatening danger ⚠️ People have died here — and in my opinion, this happens because the trail is very poorly marked, so it’s not clear where the official path ends. The official and safe route ends at the restaurant and the natural “pool” area. Everything above that point is a wild, unofficial trail. If what I’m saying doesn’t stop you and you absolutely have to climb up there, then do it only in proper, closed shoes and make sure to go only on the left side of the waterfall from the restaurant. The signs are misleading, and many people take the right side, which is a life-threatening danger at every step. The path is very dangerous, and you are deep in the jungle, completely on your own. At the beginning of that “trail” there are some ropes, so it looks like a normal path — and since other people are climbing there, it feels safe. But NO — it’s not! Those ropes are old, and this area is not maintained or meant for tourists. There are no clear signs warning that you’re leaving the safe zone — if we had known that, we would never have gone up there. There are also no signs telling you to turn back once you start climbing. We didn’t cross to the left side of the waterfall because we didn’t know — we climbed up the right side, following cables (thinking that’s the correct route), but it leads nowhere. From that “viewpoint” on the left side of waterfall no one can pick you up — you have to climb back down on your own. Cars only reach the pool area. The part of the waterfall near the restaurant and pool is beautiful and safe, but do not go further up. A sudden rain can make the rocks extremely slippery, and it’s very easy to lose your way — you can end up standing on wet rocks with the waterfall running in front of you and no safe way to continue. About picture: We got this far before realizing it was too dangerous to continue. There were no signs to warn us. Please don’t go past restaurant higher— the rocks are slippery and the current is strong. Stay safe and enjoy the lower OFFICIAL part of the waterfall instead.

Oxa is an Italian restaurant in Thailand run by chef owner Favio and his wife Noe. The Oxa pizza, made in the margarita style with arugula and locally made spec, stands out as a must-try dish. The homemade crust is delicious, and the spinach lasagna with tomato sauce is a healthier alternative. The menu offers plenty of options for vegetarians.
Oxa is a great restaurant for those looking for quality Italian food. We ordered the beef raviolis and the lasagna with spinach and ricotta. Both dishes were really delicious! Highly recommend this place.

Favio is the chef owner. Noe his wife works with him. We had incredible pizza, the Oxa. It was incredible and had arugula was made in the margarita style and had locally made spec on top of it. Surprisingly the spec was as good as any I've had in Europe. Fabio made his own dough for the crust and it was quite delicious. We also had the spinach lasagna and instead of butter and sage which didn't strike me as the healthy choice I asked for a tomato sauce though I usually dislike tomato sauce. In this case it was rich in full flavored perhaps Southern Italian style but wonderful. I also got to taste the a mushroom sauce made by Fabio which was creamy and full flavored.

Low season mean less people but the food was tasty and owner really sympathetic

I had a salad pizza, ordered to their smoking place on the opposite side of the lane. It was just fine, the cheese they added (feta maybe) wasn't listed on the ingredients, so that came as a surprise. It didn't feel like it was worth the 380 baht. Perhaps their other offerings are nicer!

Just wow!!! We came by, walking on the beach and lucky found this beach restaurant. The cocktails are super delicious and from 6 to 8 pm is happy hour and you'll get 1 for free, if you buy 2. The spring rolls where so delicious and handmade. The main dishes have been a little bit small, but enough. The fire show starts at 8pm and is pretty nice for a beautiful day on the island

Big wide open breezy places always look inviting but I have often been unimpressed with such places as style often beats substance. So I have been very pleasantly surprised by the Full English breakfast. It was both freshly prepared and cooked to order and a very generous serve that I failed to finish. Two poached eggs served on a piece of toast, bacon cooked as I like it, still soft but tasty. Fried potatoes, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans completed the hot food. All well seasoned and nicely cooked and presented. My coffee and fruit juice were served promptly before the food soon after ordering. Coffee was very good. As well as the hot food there was muesli and 3 slices of toast with butter and jam in individual serves. I actually failed to finish all the toast. One minor niggle. The pork sausage served with the hot meal still had it's plastic wrapper on it. I have come across this once before and am still not sure if this is meant to be edible or not. I didn't try it. Nice breezy seat overlooking the beach. Much needed as it is hot here at the moment. Well done. I recommend this place.

Good selection of cocktails. Very nice presentation. Mostly rum based as you would expect from a tiki bar but some thing for all tastes. Fire show at 8pm is worth a visit once but it is the same every night. Negatives are it's comparatively expensive compared to other places in lamai beach. Cocktails range from 180-200bhat happy hour is buy 2 get one free.

Nice views, Good service, average food. +views +service +price -value -food Nice place to have a quick meal with nice views. If you look for great food so not try it. I am not saying is horrible, but is average. Pizza average and very sweet, fried chicken with causionuts was OK, but still very sweet.

Great spot. Found it by accident! The food was really good (full of flavour) and we’ve eaten at many places. The beer could’ve been colder, but we’re in the tropics; I mean seriously! We happened upon the fire show too! All very pleasant and I’d recommend it highly. We had dinner.

A really nice bar located right on Lamai beach. Drinks would normally be pricey but were reasonable during happy hour (5:30 to 7:00) where if you buy 2 drinks you get a third for free. They have a great cocktail menu and the cocktails themselves were delicious and weren't light on alcohol, which was a nice change compared to some of the other bars on the beach. At night they string up some lights and light some torches to create a very nice atmosphere.

First of all, this is real deal Italian food. Cooked from the soul and with love. It's so good I've asked the owner to send me pasta and sauce to Bangkok. Family friendly, picky eater kid friendly. Everything is reasonably priced and big portions. Park on the sidewalk if you need to. It's that good. 😋

Amazing food, service and (once again) food. Owner is from Rome and was very friendly and helpful when it came to helping me decide on what to get. Ultimately, I decided to get both the porchetta and pizza. I was very happy with my decision. This place is a hidden gem and I would encourage everyone to check it out.

We've travelled for almost a month now in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand and that was the best food we've had so far on our trip. We've ordered Porchetta with salad and one of the specialty of the day pizza with guanciale and potatoes. The Porchetta was cooked to perfection and is definitely the best porchetta we've ever tried. The pizza was outstanding too. Never tried pizza with potatoes before but fell in love with it. Guanciale is one of my favorite ingredients for pizza but in combination with truffles and potatoes and crispy dough, honestly it was out of this world. I have no words to express how impressed we were and definitely going back for another meal to try some more. House white wine was really crispy and fresh and as a complimentary drinks we've got shots of lemoncello which was also very good balanced, just the right amount of sweet and sour, nicely chilled. Service was also brilliant. Mastery of cooking. Strongly recommend.

We had dinner at Food Lab in Lamai, an Italian restaurant that truly impressed us. To start, we tried their specialty Porchetta, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. For the mains, I had the black truffle ravioli, which was rich and perfectly cooked, while my husband enjoyed the Roman-style pizza, with authentic base. Every dish was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. If we had stayed in Lamai a little longer, we definitely would have gone back for more!

Thank you to Stefan hope I have spelt it right. Amazing food!!!! I wish I had also taken a picture of our starters. The bruschetta was delicious.

For Italian food in Samui that is affordable, I loved this meal and highly recommend it. The restaurant is owned by an Italian man and his brother and they are simply living their best lives there in Thailand, cooking delicious Italian food for their customers in their open air restaurant. The restaurant is on a side street so it isn’t extremely loud but you still feel connected to the Lamai downtown. What did we eat? Great question, I will gladly share: 1. Black rubble ravioli special - sent me to heaven! The flavors were perfect and rich and the noodle was cooked to the perfect degree. The sauce was so good, we really couldn’t get enough of it and the consistency was right-on. 2. Porchetta - well done and the sauces were noteworthy, clearly homemade. 3. Tomato sauce pasta - delicious, fresh flavor. 4. Four cheese - loved this as well, rich flavor but not overwhelming in making you too full! 5. Mushroom and Sausage pizza and the prosciutto and truffle pizza. I preferred the latter. They cook the dough for the pizza the true Italian way so your tummy and digestive system will thank you! Highly recommend this restaurant, I would 100% go back.

A Culinary Journey Through Italy I recently had the pleasure of dining at Food Lab and it was an exquisite experience that transported me straight to the heart of Italy. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and rustic decor set the perfect tone for an authentic Italian dining experience. The menu was a delightful array of traditional Italian dishes, each crafted with precision and attention to detail. I started with the Porcetta Salad a flavorful medley of fresh ingredients that awakened my taste buds. The pasta course was a highlight – the Tomato and Basil was cooked to perfection, and the homemade sauce was a true testament to the chef's culinary expertise. The portion sizes were generous without compromising on quality. The service was impeccable, with the staff knowledgeable about the menu and ready to offer recommendations. The wine selection complemented the meal beautifully, enhancing the overall dining experience. Overall, Food Lab delivers an authentic taste of Italy with a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Italian cuisine or a newcomer looking to explore its diverse flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit. It's a culinary journey that I can't wait to embark on again.

Restaurant
Nestled between Chaweng Beach and Lamai Beach in Koh Samui, The Cliff Bar and Grill is a laid-back beach bar with a relaxed atmosphere. With its wooden bar swings and comfortable bean bags on the sand, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail while basking in the sun or admiring the breathtaking sunsets. In addition to its scenic location, this establishment also offers an extensive selection of wines and hosts live entertainment on Friday and Sunday nights.
The Cliff is an upscale dining spot that does not only deliver in aesthetics, but also food quality. Went for dinner with a group and we all left satisfied. Had the catch of the day, which was great, and fried calamari, which were amongst the best calamari I've ever had. They also have a great offer of drinks. They also had a live DJ playing chill music when we were there. No idea if that's a regular occurrence.

With friends and family, we had a great restaurant experience here at the Cliff in Samui. My favorite dishes are creamy mussels and fried calamari for starters. The pasta with creamy prawns sauce was delicious. Staffs were very kind and attentive. We have the Italian chef passing by to say hi as well, so sweet of him.

My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable dinner at The Cliff Bar and Grill last night. Everything from start to finish was perfect. We started with the Caesar salad and garlic bread—fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick things off. The King Crab legs were a definite highlight—so rich and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the catch of the day, and it was absolutely amazing. Honestly, it was too much food, but we didn’t mind! I had a glass of red wine that paired beautifully with everything, while my girlfriend loved her iced chocolate. The service was fantastic—attentive without being overbearing—and the view was just stunning. Dining here with the ocean as your backdrop is something special. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We came to The Cliff Bar and Grill for lunch and had a lovely experience. The view is absolutely stunning—perfect for a relaxing midday meal overlooking the ocean. The food was very good and nicely presented. Service was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, a great spot for lunch with an unbeatable view and good vibes. We’d be happy to return!

The food was very good, even though quite spicy for our taste. Excellent fresh and local ingredients. Beautiful location directly on the sea, where you can watch night fishing right in front of you.
Anna T — Google review
Not bad service, the waiter however seemed a bit annoyed that I wanted to pay by card not cash. The food was the let down however, somebody should tell the cheff that if you over cook calamari it tastes and feels like eating a bike tyre. To say it was like rubber and over cooked would be an understatement. All the other food, the chicken and the rice and grilled veg was fantastic. The view was amazing!
Adam F — Google review
It’s been a couple of years since we last visited The Cliff and sadly we didn’t get the same magical experience. The staff are lovely but there’s just something missing, lack of enthusiasm and general happiness it seemed. The food is still delicious, they had a s’mores cookie dessert of the day and it was so yummy. Calling up to book a reservation was quite difficult and was passed to 2-3 people. Whilst the views are amazing, I think the staff make it that extra bit more magic and the two times we came this trip they weren’t very happy. this is no longer the best restaurant on the island for us. :(
Louise B — Google review
The Cliff is a must-visit for us since many years. Continuous high quality food and high level of service, and outstanding restaurant and always a highlight for us, while on Koh Samui. The food is always great, no matter if it is steak, pasta, salad or the famous Portuguese peri peri chicken. Very friendly and attentive staff and a great ambience make it always a place to remember.

Chaweng Beach is a vibrant and expansive stretch of sand that captures the essence of Koh Samui's lively atmosphere. This popular destination attracts visitors from around the world, offering an array of nearby resorts, restaurants, and shopping options. With its bustling nightlife and a market that spans three kilometers, Chaweng Beach is perfect for those looking to indulge in retail therapy or savor delicious local cuisine. Whether you're on the hunt for trendy swimwear or unique souvenirs, you'll find it all here.
Lovely beach, sometimes busy but never overly packed. Nice scenery and restaurants dotted along the beach

Large beach of several kilometers where it is good to walk. The color of the water changes according to the weather. Beware the sea is sometimes very rough with a lot of waves. Lots of massage tent all along and many bars and restaurants to enjoy the view.
Stephen T — Google review
We weren’t sure whether to bother with this beach initially, a slight concern that it might be crazy busy and full of rubbish etc… however I’m glad we did because it’s one of the most beautiful beaches on Samui. Sand colour on any beach can appear to change from white to yellow depending on the sun/conditions, but the few days we spent here it was white sand and calm blue waters. Theres loads to do with bars, restaurants and sunbeds to rent. Plus jet skis etc for those that are interested. It wasn’t too busy in June and there was no hassle from beach sellers. The planes coming in and out of Samui Airport made for an interesting back drop too.

Always beautiful soft sand beach. Water is so crystal clear. Good for relaxing and fun dining or shopping here at Chaweng Beach
PAM N — Google review
I Love Koh Samui ❤️ Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui’s most popular stretch, is a 7km crescent of soft, white sand with crystal-clear waters. The southern end offers serene vibes, ideal for relaxation and stunning sunrises, while the northern part buzzes with resorts, bars, and nightlife. Water sports like jet-skiing and snorkeling thrive, but strong currents and occasional litter can mar the experience. Beachside massages and dining are highlights, though crowds and noise may overwhelm some. Perfect for lively beachgoers; quieter seekers should stick south.
Shahzad S — Google review
Nice beach with clean water and clean sands. Some areas have shallow water so we did have to walk around it and find a good side. Many water sports activities available and some vendors. There are many cafés all around.

Art gallery
The Modern Thai Art Gallery, the first of its kind in Koh Samui, has been showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary Thai art and original Buddha-inspired pieces for 25 years. The gallery features works by renowned artists from scenic locations like Samui, Pattaya, and Phuket. Visitors can purchase many of the artworks available at the gallery, with a significant focus on reproductions.
Love the artist who did my kids. We gave a picture of our kids to the artist. He painted and had time to dry. They rolled it up for transportation by plane. The staff was very friendly. They have lots of choices of replicas or alternative arts and pictures from all styles. I recommend dropping by. Prices seem reasonable.

We saw so many pieces in person that we loved but ran out of time to pick one. We saw this picture on social media and immediately purchased it. Within 2 weeks of our initial conversation, the piece was shipped to the UK. Amazing piece of art and fantastic service.

Perfect customer service. Great pictures arrived well with FedEx shipping. We had to pay more for custom/taxes then discussed, but they were very friendly and we find good solution. Whatsapp communication as fast as possible. Highly recommended. If you want to avoid customs I recommend taking pictures safely in luggage (if possible)

The villa we were staying in had a piece from Modern Thai which we photographed. After tracking them down we were able to order a larger, freshly painted, version from the same artist. The gallery rolled, wrapped and sent the artwork which we've just mounted to a frame. Great service and we got to see it prior to shipping.

Me and my friends were visiting the Fisherman’s village, suddenly we found this really nice Art Gallery! My friends were so impressed by the art and style that they decided to purchase a nice piece of art. I also decided to buy one. The lady at the desk was really helpful and we got a nice price for our paintings. We also could see the artist working on his new paintings. The lady even offered us to ship the paintings to our home country!

My friend and each bought a BEAUTIFUL large painting from here and they shipped it right to my house for a small fee!! (We live in the United States for reference). Saithip was more than helpful in the process and the shipping process was so smooth. If you’re in Ko Samui you NEED to check this place out!! Some of the most beautiful oil paintings you’ve ever seen done by local artists and the prices are very reasonable. I would’ve bought 50 pieces of art if I had more wall space at home!! I will be back!!

If you’re in Samui Bophut and have any love for art, this gallery is a must-visit! Nestled in the heart of Bophut, this gem showcases a stunning variety of artwork at prices you truly can’t beat. Each piece has been thoughtfully curated, and there’s something for everyone, from vibrant landscapes to evocative abstract pieces that capture the essence of Thai culture and beyond. The best part? You can take your chosen artwork home with you, rolled for easy transport—no hassle with shipping or handling, but shipping is also possible. The staff is knowledgeable and warm, eager to help you find the perfect piece to fit your space and style. This gallery gets a wholehearted 100% recommendation! The quality, variety, and unbeatable prices make it an experience you shouldn’t miss. Don’t skip this spot on your visit to Samui Bophut; it’s an art lover’s paradise!

Coral Cove Beach

4.5
(1186)
Public beach
Coral Cove Beach, located on the east coast of Koh Samui, is a serene and unspoiled slice of paradise. Despite its small size, this beach boasts reddish sand, turquoise waters, beautiful palm trees, and dramatic boulders that create a picturesque backdrop for relaxation, water activities, or photo shoots. It is considered one of the best beaches in the area for snorkeling.
Nestled in a small cove framed by dramatic granite boulders and swaying palms, Coral Cove Beach offers a serene escape from the island’s more crowded shores. It’s a perfect postcard-scene—golden sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and a sense of peaceful remoteness that feels almost sacred. This is also a haven for snorkelers. Calm, sheltered waters and coral reefs just a short swim from shore delight visitors with colorful fish and vivid underwater landscapes. How to arrive? It’s tucked off the main coastal road, and while parking is limited, a short motorbike or taxi ride gets you there (just be ready for a winding little descent). Best visiting strategy? Go early—mid-morning brings the calmest sea, the fewest people, and ideal light for photos. The dry season (roughly December to April) offers the clearest views and snorkeling conditions.
Dr M — Google review
Beautiful beach with amazing edges full of big rock formations and spectacular snorkeling opportunities. If you visit, DO rent the googles and see what is under the surface. The beach itself is quiet and there are usually not so many y people. On the video, you can see how clean it is, but behind me, there is a trash everywhere. Large piles of it. When you walk around, the garbage is also kinda visible in the sand. There are many plastic pieces, cigarettes and whatnot... There is a little parking where around 5-6 cars can fit. Scooters won't have any issues.
Tomas R — Google review
This is such a lovely beach with beautifully clear water. You can even spot little fish swimming in the shallows, which absolutely thrilled my kids. It’s a wonderful place for families to enjoy and feels very peaceful. The only thing to watch out for is some dog poo on the sand everywhere, so just be mindful when walking around. Other than that, it’s a truly delightful spot to spend the day

Loved this beach, quieter than lots of other we visited which was good - Everything you need here from towels, snorkels to burgers and kayaks. Beautiful white salty sand and extremely clean waters. Banana lasso was delicious drinking after a swim and a paddle. Drinks sensible pricyand Kayaks around 300bht per hour, or £6/£7 Uk sterling or €8 ish..

Nice small beach with more thick/pebbles sand. There are only few shadow spots but there are many more snorkeling spots comparing to crystal beache. We manage to watch few fishes but not many to be honest.
Stefano N — Google review
Beautiful beach. Clean and perfect for swimming and snorkeling for families and couples. There are a few cafés too. You can see some fishes in the shallow clean water or go deeper snorkeling and see the beauty beneath. There are snorkeling and swimming tools to buy at the entrance.

Overlap Stone, located on Koh Samui, is a popular spot for Instagram-worthy photos. To avoid long queues, it's best to visit early in the day. There is an entrance fee of 50 THB per person and 20 THB for scooter parking. The road leading to the site is steep, so cautious driving is advised. The stunning natural scenery makes it a worthwhile visit despite the small entrance fee and challenging road conditions.
Moderate climb, amazing views. We Parked right by the first location and walked up to the stones . We arrived around 2.30pm and there were a few people around but it wasn’t busy Some areas are under construction looks like they are improving access and view areas .

READ BEFORE COMING! Probably this is not the place you are looking for. The “hand” is on Overlap Stone 2! Here you can have a nice view, sure, but you must pay 200 baht for the ticket, which is the same price of Overlap Stone 2. The ‘second’ Overlap Stone has much more facilities to visit, including a restaurant. On this Overlap Stone, you pay the 200baht ticket and get a free drink. If I knew this before, I would have gone only to the Overlap Stone 2 :)
Ana T — Google review
Super pretty view point. Get a grab to the bottom of the hill and wait for the car to take you up to the top, if I remember it was 20 Baht once you got the view point. If you get the opportunity sit on the roof of the car do it it’s such a cool experience!
Darci G — Google review
Steep hike to the top, 300baht entry + free soft drink. Great views, but overlap stone 2 is better. Very unethical elephant tourism there too which I only saw on the way down. Two elephants tied up in very small enclosure, this is offered as one of the ticket options, Do not do it.
Laura — Google review
The view is really stunning. Getting there takes some effort, but nothing too complicated. They charge 200bahts only for getting inside and beside the hand and the stone there is a restaurant where you can enjoy the view with some drinks.
Carolina C — Google review
Thailand tourism at its worst. It’s a complete rip off. Dangerous. No care given at all. I stepped on what seemed like a second lookout deck (as it had green chairs on it!). It was actually just a metal roof. Metal gave way on the step and tore into my leg. The maintenance man saw what happened- rushed over to remove the rotted metal step - but left me there - crying! No help at all. Didn’t even acknowledge me… I had to try to get off the platform alone - now no step…hobbling and injured! Check out the photos - one is a lounge deck. One is a metal roof! Can you see the difference? No. - The step has now been removed, due to me standing on it and falling through!! Hmm - which I hope helps avoid further accidents!! For this I paid: 200 baht entry ( thankfully, I avoided the 300 for parking - whaaat!???)…potentially 500 baht !??? - to spend 10 mins in a tourist trap. To see a rock? — The stone itself, yeah, pretty cool, if you can get to it - I could not be bothered to wait in line. Over-priced. Over-rated.
Tessa S — Google review
Very nice viewpoint. We got there by motor, there was enough parking space. The entrance fee was 200bath, including a free drink (cola, fanta, soda, sprite, water). The way up is a nice path with strairs, around 200 meters.
Jesse B — Google review
Not worth it. You must pay 200bahts per person. You get non alcoholic beverage in this price. I must say, the road is nicely build and the view was nice, but you can find that on many free spots. There is nothing else besides the stone. If you want a picture on the “hand” viewpoint, it is higher uphill and they will charge you another 200 baht per person. Tourist trap in my opinion. But some people might like it.

Eating Time is a hidden gem that draws you in with its warm and inviting atmosphere, thanks to the charming presence of Moomoo at the entrance. Her friendly smile makes you feel instantly at home, as if you've made a new friend. The cozy café offers an array of delicious Thai dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds. Diners rave about the outstanding panang curry and flavorful basil beef, while the attentive service adds to the overall experience.
What an excellent little cafe / restaurant. We initially went into the restaurant on the other side of the road. It was very busy, but ‘Eating Time’ was empty. We decided we would try it and four of us had a beautiful meal. The Thai food was amazing. The girl who served us was the best. A happy and efficient waitress. Thank you very much 🙏

Crystal Bay Beach Club is a beachfront establishment known for its stunning location and views. While some find it more expensive than other options in the area, the food is generally considered good with large portions. The service is friendly and efficient, even during busy times. The club also offers a good selection of cocktails and delicious food, particularly the panang curry and sweet and sour chicken.
I wasn’t expecting much from this little beach side restaurant but I was so pleasantly surprised. We had lunch here and everything about it was delicious. Top notch veggie massaman curry, no exaggeration. Will go again just for that. Ginger and carrot juice was a bit watered down. Staff was incredibly service oriented , kind and fluent in English, only good words for them. Watched the dance fire show tonight which was otherworldly in that amazing beach backdrop. Bear in mind, you can watch the show from the beach too, you don’t need to be in the restaurant and you will have the opportunity to tip the performers independently from the restaurant. It’s a great night out and I would recommend to anyone.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant right on the beach in Lamai and it turned out to be such a gem! The setting was perfect — relaxed, breezy, and with the sound of the waves just a few steps away. We ordered a club sandwich which was absolutely delicious, and the chicken fried rice was honestly the bee’s knees — full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a lovely, laid-back vibe. A perfect spot for a casual beachside meal — 🌻

I have rarely witnessed such a lack of customer service. Late in the afternoon, a kind couple who had already paid for two sunbeds for the whole day offered them to us as they were leaving. The moment we sat down, the staff rushed over demanding that we pay the full day rate… as if the sunbeds magically went back up for rent at 4 p.m. And the best part? They asked us for a receipt, even though everything here is paid in cash and no receipts are ever provided. Completely absurd, but above all revealing: the only thing that matters here is squeezing more money out of guests, not offering a good experience. We walked away disgusted by the sheer lack of professionalism and the shameless money-driven mentality. This is not a beach club, it’s a cash-grab machine. Silver Beach is stunning, but this place in particular should be avoided at all costs if you’re expecting even the slightest bit of respect or hospitality.

Really great spot! Food was awesome and the pool/table tennis area out the back was such a fun touch. Only thing missing was a bit of atmosphere, but they’re doing renovations getting ready for the busy season, so totally understandable. Would definitely come back!

Indian restaurant
Curry Pot Indian Restaurant is a popular dining spot known for its extensive menu, delicious dishes, and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Indian and Asian cuisine, including options for vegetarians and vegans. Located in Chaweng, Thailand, it's an ideal place for group dinners or buffet events. Guests praise the traditional Indian food such as chicken tikka masala and naan bread.
An absolute divine meal tonight. Best Indian food in Koh Samui. Will be back😋
Mads R — Google review
My experience at Curry Pot Indian Restaurant in Chaweng was okay but didn’t quite leave a lasting impression. The location on Chaweng Beach Road is convenient, and the atmosphere feels cozy with a casual, welcoming vibe. I ordered the Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, which were decent—the curry had a good creamy texture, and the naan was fresh, though the flavors weren’t as bold as I’d hoped. The staff were friendly and quick, and it’s nice that they offer vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and halal options, plus free delivery for nearby areas. That said, the meal felt a bit standard for an Indian restaurant, and I was expecting something more memorable given the high ratings. The presentation of the dishes was average, and while the portions were generous, the overall experience didn’t stand out compared to other Indian spots I’ve tried. The restaurant’s setting in a busy alley can feel a bit hectic with scooters passing by. I’ve attached a few photos of the food and the dining area to show what it’s like. It’s a solid choice if you’re craving Indian food in Chaweng, but it’s not a must-visit unless you’re nearby.

I didn't think you could top a London Indian but this was another level!! The food was amazing. The best naan bread ever so thin crispy and fresh. The onion bhajis were nibbles sized and ideal for sharing as there was plenty for two. Deeeeeeelish from start to finish!!!

The food was absolutely amazing. It felt like truly authentic Indian cuisine, with a very friendly staff, excellent service, and outstanding quality in every dish. The spices were strong and authentic, which we enjoyed a lot. We highly recommend this place to anyone interested in experiencing Indian food that isn’t watered down for tourists. The interior is also beautifully designed and creates a great atmosphere. We really enjoyed being here.

Good indian food. Taste was nice n good price. We came here twice .

Honest, home-style food that's worth it. You get large, satisfying portions without compromising on quality. The vegetables are crisp, the meats are tender, and everything tastes made-from-scratch. It’s clear the kitchen cares about freshness, not just pre-made sauces. Feels like a home kitchen that serves incredible value.

My dal soup was SUPER peppery, it basically burned my tongue. The next day my friend's stomach started hurting. I gave the feedback on the soup to the waiter and he asked: "what do you want me to do"? 🤦‍♀️ Maybe tell the chef!

Dr Frogs Bar & Grill is a stunning hilltop venue located between Chaweng and Lamai, offering breathtaking views of the coastline, especially at sunset. The elegant decor creates an inviting atmosphere to enjoy a wide variety of pizzas, from traditional tomato and cheese to unique options like truffle oil and lobster variations. One standout option is the Capriccioso pizza, featuring ham, mushroom, olives, salami, mozzarella cheese, and their signature sauce.
Delicious food, amazing staff and stunning views! We had starters and mains and because it was so good, we decided to have a dessert. We had pavlova and it was a show stopper! If you’re in Koh Samui - it’s a must

If I could give it 20 stars I would! True perfection. The food was beyond anything we could have imagined tastebuds could enjoy. They had many options and everything we ordered was outstanding. The service was Impeccable. And the ambiance can’t be beat. The view was the cherry on top! HIGHLY recommend.

Dr Frogs Bar & Grill was one of my favorite dining experiences during my first trip to Thailand. The location itself is stunning, perched with a wide terrace overlooking the sea. Sitting outside while the sun set was already worth the visit. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels a bit refined, a good mix of casual holiday dining with a touch of elegance. The food deserves a special mention. Every dish we tried was flavorful, hearty and beautifully presented. Portion sizes were satisfying, and nothing felt too small or too fussy. For me this was a solid 5 out of 5 on food quality. Prices are on the higher side, but that is common in Koh Samui, and I felt the quality justified the cost. Service was friendly and welcoming, though a little slow. It took some time for the dishes to arrive, which at first was noticeable, but when the food came it really delivered. Staff checked in politely, and I appreciated that they let us enjoy the view without rushing. Overall I would give Dr Frogs 4 out of 5. It is slightly pricey and service could be quicker, but the combination of great food, warm atmosphere and sea views makes it absolutely worth visiting.

The atmosphere and ambiance are stunning. The food is flavorful and fresh. Our server was so helpful and quick and even had recommendations for good markets to shop at! A Breathtaking Koh Samui Gem We Can't Stop Returning To! This stunning restaurant and bar on the beautiful island of Koh Samui is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you arrive, you are captivated by the location, which overlooks the picturesque scenery of the sea. It's the perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience. The chef has cleverly put together a mouthwatering menu that offers a fantastic choice, with something to delight everyone. And for those times we all crave a home comfort, their traditional Sunday roast is without a doubt one of the best on the island! What truly sets this place apart is the impeccable service. The staff are so lovely, warm, and friendly, offering a genuinely welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. The bar service is also great, making it a perfect spot to relax with a drink and soak in the incredible views. We simply can’t stop returning to this magical spot. It's a true gem that combines stunning scenery, delicious food, and the friendliest service. Highly recommended! Thank you

What can I say about this place, on the more expensive side of the food market here in Samui. I’m not going to deny that. But I will also say that the service and food was some of the best here. The food was also amazing, so I recommend that if you want to go somewhere for that special occasion, to just try something awesome, or any other reason in fact. Then make sure you try this place at least once. Will definitely return for sure. 🙏🏼
Kevin H — Google review
It took quite a long time for the waitress to come and take the order, even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy. The service felt inattentive from the moment walked in. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing too! I really tried to give it a chance, but after a couple of spoonfuls, it just wasn’t good. It seemed like the chef didn’t check the food quality, and the waitress just placed the dishes on the table without checking on how’s the food? The view is nice, but there are many restaurants in Koh Samui with beautiful views and much better food and service. Not coming back not anymore.
KathD — Google review
One of the best meals we had in Koh Samui. Had to go back a second time to try their Roast Dinner which is one of the best I’ve ever had. Only small gripe could possibly be the location as it is a bit isolated and hard to get a cab from. Regardless, highly recommended!

Lamai Viewpoint & Valentine Stone is a must-visit spot in Koh Samui, Thailand. Nestled on a forested hill, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding natural beauty. You can reach this picturesque location by either hiking along a trail or taking a cable car ride to the top. Once there, you can enjoy refreshing drinks at the lookout deck with a bar while soaking in the stunning scenery.
It was a short hike up steps I am slightly mobility impaired but was able to make it up the steps to the cable car. They were making a new concrete stairway while we were there. That wil make getting to the cable car a safer hike up. The cable car was comfortable and very smooth. The viewpoint is very nice and a wonderful place to see part of the island. It does cost 200 baht per person. They have a bar and some appetizer at the lookout. We purchased a coke for 50 baht. We stayed and enjoyed the view for about an hour.
Sara C — Google review
Caught a ride up as I'd read it was a pretty tricky walk, but having seen it, it's not as bad as it's made out. Nice but pricey cup of coffee at the top. Not a soul around which suited me. Sat for a good while just looking out, and watching the birds and insects. Nice way to while away an hour if like me you don't have wheels and are close by. Did see some people come up for the zip wire, but as it's really short, it wasn't for me. Really lovely staff. Didn't see the fish that have been mentioned in previous posts, so if you are looking for them, I think you'll be out of luck.
Tatum T — Google review
It was just a 5-minute walk to the viewpoint, but honestly, you can get the same view from many spots around the island for free. They asked us to pay 100 THB per person, and the walk wasn’t even enjoyable since there was ongoing renovation. If you want to take the cable car, it’s 200 THB, and the zipline is 800 THB for maybe 15 seconds of sliding down. It felt like a total tourist trap with the restaurant at the top— I wouldn’t recommend it. We also checked the reviews for Overlap Stone (200 BHT entry) and decided to skip it to avoid another disappointment. Save your time and money, they are better spots to explore.
Paulina — Google review
If you are walking there, do not follow google map into makro food service. Route is wrong Must try the cable car, unique experience. View point in nice
Rikun — Google review
Worth the trip! Lamai Viewpoint offers panoramic views of Koh Samui’s coastline and lush greenery. The THB 200 cable ride to the top adds a touch of adventure, and the scenery that awaits is wonderful . Once at the top, there’s a cozy little café where you can sip on a refreshing drink (I had a strawberry shake topped with cream!) while soaking in the views from a flower-decked terrace. It’s a peaceful spot to relax, take in the sea breeze, and snap some gorgeous photos. Everything felt well-maintained and accessible, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A bit for pricey for what it charges but would recommended for anyone visiting Koh Samui and looking for a scenic escape with a bit of charm!
Azhar K — Google review
Every tourist attraction has its price. That's why I don't understand people complaining about the price here. My girlfriend and I tried the Zipline and had some snacks. The staff was absolutely fantastic, very helpful and smiling. We have never been treated so well in Thailand. Thank you and we wish you many customers.
Tomas D — Google review
I walked here from Lamar, it took about 20 minutes. Entrance cost 200 baht including a return cable car ride to the viewpoint. There is a good restaurant at the top with reasonably priced food and drinks. I have to say that all the staff I interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful. A word of caution however, there are about 50 steps up to the cable car, if you have mobility issues this will be very challenging.
Steven D — Google review
Great place to view lamai. 100B to walk up, not too hard, 200B for cable car, but you still have to walk up a bit to get it. 800B for Zip wire. Views are very good and nice place for a drink.

Night market
Lamai Night Market is a vibrant and bustling market located at the northern end of Lamai beach road. It comes alive every night, but the Sunday Night Market is particularly popular. The market offers a wide range of clothing and souvenir options, different from those found in other markets on the island. Visitors can enjoy exploring four lanes filled with street food stalls serving local and international specialties, as well as an array of souvenirs.
A nice night market in Koh Samui. The east side seems to be more fun than the west. You can find lots of food options there and better try sticky rice with mango. For Halal food seekers, there are 3 shops for halal food; shawarma, indian food (biryani, masala, nun bread and many others) and rotti. Bring with you some cash because not all shops offer scan to pay service. However the halal food seems to be a bit expensive compared to night markets in phuket. Apart from that it is a must visit night market worth it. There is a motorbike parking and an exchange office.

Authentic, vibrant, and full of flavor! Lamai Night Market was a highlight of my time on Koh Samui. The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, with a great mix of locals and tourists. The food options were amazing — from fresh seafood and grilled meats to Thai classics like pad Thai and mango sticky rice. Prices were fair, and everything I tried tasted fantastic. There’s also a fun variety of stalls with clothes, souvenirs, and handmade goods, plus some live music and entertainment that gave the whole place a great vibe. It felt less commercial than other markets, which made the experience feel more local and authentic. Super easy to get to, and perfect after a beach day. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area — come hungry!
Till W — Google review
We loved this night market!!! It wasn’t too crowded and had lots of food options plus live music. It wasn’t the biggest market but it had everything you needed. We also got the Earth Witness Mudra Buddha for 200 baht (down from 450 baht). For food/drink, we got a mango smoothie and passionfruit/mango smoothies for 60 baht each. We also got our first mango sticky rice, fresh shrimp skewers and a chicken skewer. The shrimp and chicken were delicious but I did not like the mango sticky rice. It had a very salty flavor.

Lamai Night Market may be small, but it’s full of charm! Delicious food, unique local stalls, and a lively atmosphere make it a must-visit spot in Koh Samui. Perfect for an evening stroll and tasting local flavors.

I went there in the evening during low season, but I was surprised because it was crowded and there were hardly any tables available. The food here is varied. The papaya salad with fermented fish is delicious, and the barbecue is also very tasty. They have shop that sells counterfeit brand name products is quite expensive.
Summer N — Google review
The Lamai night market was a pretty big miss for me. If you want Thai, there is a row of Thai places on the left hand side of the market. The rest of the vendors are a hodgepodge of international cuisine. Many items are precooked and look bad. We found the seafood place decent as they actually cooked to order. There are as also a pad gra pow place that looked good as well. We also enjoyed a samosa but the wrapper was more a spring roll wrapper. The mango sticky rice is kind of heavy and the mango not very sweet - felt heavy and we didn’t finish it. If you walk from in town, you have to walk by a row of scantily clad women in “massage” parlors - not ideal with kids walking around. Such is life in Koh Samui.

The Holy Ascension Orthodox Church in Koh Samui is a stunning Russian Orthodox church that stands out as one of the most exquisite churches on the island. It overlooks the Gulf of Thailand and features numerous symbols that depict the ascension of God, praising Jesus Christ, and recounting the stories of Jerusalem and Mariah Magdalena. Services in this church are conducted in Russian, allowing for baptisms and weddings to take place.
Visited this church on Sunday around 5pm. The weather was appalling, but I didn’t let that stop me from riding my scooter to the place of God’s worship. The church is small but very beautiful. A really nice place to visit for reflection. I got on my knees and asked forgiveness for my sins, and around the same time I heard a mighty thunder. I’d like to believe it was a sign from God that he heard my prayer. “He thundereth with the voice of his excellency” [Job 37:4]

Not something you would typically encounter in South East Asia... The place is clean, authentic and the priest is very friendly. He told me that the church is only 10 years old and is being maintained by the local community.

Guan Yu Shrine on Koh Samui is a significant site dedicated to the Chinese deity Guan Yu, known as the god of war in Chinese mythology. The shrine features an imposing 16-meter high statue of Guan Yu, making it the largest bronze statue of him in Thailand. Visitors can explore this compact yet compelling attraction and enjoy nearby amenities such as parking, food and drink options. Situated near Lamai Beach, the shrine offers picturesque views and a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation.
A beautiful shrine dedicated to Guan Yu, the legendary Chinese warrior known for loyalty, righteousness, and integrity. Free to visit, but donations are welcome. The impressive statues and vibrant cultural details make it a must-visit for history and art lovers. Peaceful and inspiring!

The Guan Yu Shrine on Koh Samui is one of the most spiritual and culturally rich places I have visited on the island. The centerpiece is the enormous statue of Guan Yu, a legendary Chinese general known for loyalty and integrity, and it truly is an impressive sight. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding, and the way the statue stands above the complex makes it feel both powerful and protective. The entire shrine has a calm and respectful atmosphere. You can find smaller altars and shrines dedicated to other deities, along with areas where locals and visitors make offerings. It’s not only a tourist attraction but also an active place of worship, which makes the visit feel authentic and meaningful. Walking around, you’ll notice the traditional Chinese-style architecture, red lanterns, and cultural symbols that add to the spiritual energy of the place. What I appreciated most was how peaceful it felt compared to the busier tourist spots on Samui. It’s a wonderful place to pause, reflect, and connect with the history and traditions of the Chinese-Thai community. If you want to experience something deeper than beaches and nightlife, I highly recommend stopping here. It is a reminder that Koh Samui is not only about natural beauty but also about cultural and spiritual heritage.

Located in Lamai Beach, Salathai Restaurant offers a convenient shuttle service for its customers. This Thai-style eatery boasts an extensive selection of delectable seafood options, including fish, shrimp, and crab. Notably, their red snapper and lobster dishes stand out as customer favorites. In addition to the seafood fare, patrons can also enjoy traditional Thai delicacies such as seafood curry, fried rice, roast duck, and Tom Yam soup.
Tasty Thai and European food at reasonable prices in middle of Lamai. Their signature Thai coctails (partic. the Tom Kha cocktail )are superb! Good choice of wines. Service was very attentive. Update: We have eaten here now 5x and it seems like they can't put a foot wrong. All the dishes we had here were amongst the best on Koh Samui if not the best. You have to try the son-in-law eggs!

Popular with Caucasian tourists. Food is good - the Southern curry with cured barracuda was delicious, and surprisingly, so were the son-in-law eggs. Stir fried morning glory was crunchy and young yet but a tad oily. As for the tom yum goong with prawns - fresh prawns and soup not too spicy for us. Previous reviews were negative for staff attitude, but when we were there, they were fairly attentive. Only grouse was we asked to be served our coffee later, they came first before the food. Be prepared to wait for close to half an hour for your food if it is a Friday night.

The food was reasonably good. It’s a nice casual Thai food place in Lamai. Prices are quite affordable. Friendly staff and quick service. Food could use more flavor overall. The fish here was one of the best I've had. Not only was it fresh and delicious and a good size. It was also fileted. I don't have a problem with bones and enjoy lots of fish. To be served fileted was a pleasant surprise.

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had, it was a prefect medium rare. Outstanding service and great prices. Moreover the ambiance was spot on!

Nice restaurant, I had Massaman curry and it was really testy, the chicken was on the bone which made it much more tender. My husband had a sea bass and it was filleted, which we have never seen before & was a lovely touch. The staff was very friendly and attentive, o would go there again 5⭐️

Vitamin Sea is an outstanding dining establishment located on the picturesque island of Samui. This restaurant offers a remarkable culinary experience, particularly in their delectable seafood platters that feature freshly caught fish and other aquatic delicacies. Their in-house dried steak is known for its exceptional quality and tenderness. Moreover, they boast an impressive selection of wines to complement the exquisite flavors of the dishes. The host at Vitamin Sea is both entertaining and knowledgeable, providing guests with an enjoyable and educational dining experience.
One of the best dining experiences on Samui. Excellent seafood platters with freshly caught seafood. Brilliant in house dried steak. Fantastic selection of wine. Entertaining and informative host. Oh and a stunning setting directly next to the beach. Highly recommended to anyone looking for that something special.
Peej — Google review
Great decor and a lovely little restaurant surprisingly located in a quiet post of the island. The menu has a good range of both Thai and French dishes. The setting by the beach is good and the whole place has a great funky vibe to it. However many of our dishes felt perfunctory and not particularly tasty, the one exception being the vermicelli seafood salad. The service was friendly but inefficient, we ended up with a dish that we had never ordered. Still worth a lookin if you're in the neighbourhood, though be warned the beach is in a shabby state

Food is about passion. The owner of Vitamin Sea is all about that and you can feel it in every single bite of the dishes. We went in July 2020 during our 1 week stay twice and every time was a highlight of our trip. I am writing this review because we think the restaurant deserves credit were credit is due. The Owner Let's start with the most important thing, the owner. The moment you arrive in the restaurant, you can feel his passion for the food he is serving. When we arrived first i was a bit confused by the menu, not being very foodie (which my wife felt right at home). However, after hearing the owner talk about the menu, i actually didnt need to understand it was just his sheer passion that sold me already. The Taste Hands down - spectacular. We ordered seafood platter and a veal. The seafood platter was perfectly cooked and the sauces fit both Thai and European taste. The veal melted in my mouth and was as tender as you could wish for. Even in Bangkok would be difficult to find this quality especially for this price. For dessert we had the Belgium chocolate ice cream (for sweet mouth) and Apple sorbet with some alcohol (for ones that like it less sweet). Both were extremely delicious (seriously, i could eat a ton of that ice cream). In addition, we had some drinks which also were outstanding. Service We have been serviced on time and exactly what we have ordered. Could have not been better. Price/Value For the value you get, the price is very low. We have done a sample calculation of what we have paid in Bangkok if we would have ordered the same and found that we paid roughly 30% less than in Bangkok if ordered the same. Conclusion Why are you reading this? Just go already!

Great decor, great food. Friendly service. We we're in the area during quiet season. Really enjoyed my duck red curry. Apparently nearly all of the veggies are grown on the island. The owner was friendly but struggled to understand that my vegetarian friend couldn't eat anything with fish sauce. But in the end he worked around it. The view was very picturesc, however it was diminished by the amount of rubbish on the beach, this isn't unusual for Thailand but still sad to see.

We came here for lunch and as we loved it so much we came back the next day for dinner. The view is amazing, service super friendly and good fresh quality food. Our favourites and must tries are the foie gras, steak tartare, Serrano ham Carpaccio, baked mussels, bouillabaisse and cheese croquettes. The homemade mayonnaise is perfect.

EXCEPTIONAL. The chef and owner is a true culinary artist. If you want to taste the creations of a French chef, with all his knowledge, generosity and exigence, look no further. As a Frenchie myself, I can tell you that finding such amazing food outside of France is extremely rare and utterly fabulous

We had our last evening dinner of holidays celebrated in this great location. First of all, the name catches our attention and while we visited the restaurant to have a look on the menu - we’ve got very surprised with the verity if French and Sea food kitchens. The owner is very proffy French gastronomy man, he helped with our food selection and we have been more the. Happy with the quality. Must try - croquettes!! It’s indeed very delicious. For the main course we got tuna stake, which has been perfectly prepared upon my taste and served with the truffle-flavored potato. Just great! While in Samui - don’t miss the chance to visit the place, which is by the way is the sea front location.

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Tonsai area of Koh Samui, Emporio Caffé is a hidden gem that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. This charming eatery may be small, but it consistently draws crowds eager to indulge in its authentic Italian offerings. The menu features delightful dishes like rich Carbonara, bursting with flavor from guanciale and creamy parmesan sauce, alongside the special Bruschetta topped with buffalo mozzarella—both perfectly complementing each other.
wow… BRAVO … I have tried many Italian restaurants on the north and west side of koh samui, but of all that I’ve tried this place is supreme. I came intrigued at an establishment boasting 4.9 ratings at 520 reviewers. Do you know how hard it is to have a 4.9 with 520 people reviewing? That means almost every single person came in here, tried a dish and said damn that’s good. Well sir, and ma’am, damn this pasta is goooooood. As well as the special bruschetta. Chefs kiss. Hats off to the chef, a very kind, humble Italian man. 10/10 would recommend. 👏🏼👏🏼

A Taste of Italy in Lamai – Unmissable! During our one-week stay in Lamai, we found ourselves returning to Emporio Caffé Samui three times – that alone should speak volumes. This charming little spot instantly transported us to Italy with its warm ambiance and truly authentic flavors. I had the Carbonara twice – it was so good I couldn’t resist a repeat – and the Amatriciana, which was just as delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces rich and flavorful, and everything had that homemade Italian touch that’s so hard to find. My husband tried the Lasagna, which he absolutely loved, and the Antipasto misto, a beautiful, well-balanced starter full of quality ingredients. To finish, I had an affogato, and it was the perfect way to end the meal – simple, bold, and authentically Italian. Chef Alessandro clearly pours his heart into every dish, and the hospitality matched the food – warm, personal, and passionate. If you’re in Koh Samui and craving real Italian cuisine, Emporio Caffé is a must. We’ll be dreaming of it until our next visit!

So yeah, as expected from the reviews the food was really good. We ordered Carbonara and the special Bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella. The Carbonara was very rich with lovely flavour from the guanciale and the creamy sauce and parmesan. The bruschetta was divine, packed with so much flavour and crunchiness of the beautiful bread, just perfect. Both dishes were working very well together as of the richness of the pasta dish and the freshness of the bruschetta. Absolutely beautiful. Service was also great, very polite staff, very sweet. Definitely worth trying and give it a go.

A MUST if you’re in Lamai. It’s world class, authentic Italian food, and the unassuming atmosphere and location of this gem makes the flavors shine even brighter. The care and attention to detail is clear from the moment you sit down at the table. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Grant G — Google review
We had the lasagne, carbonara, and bruschetta and honestly, they were the best we’ve ever had, even better than what we’ve had in Rome! You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. Service was good too - friendly and efficient. It’s a bit more expensive compared to typical Thai prices, but still great value for money considering the quality. Definitely worth it if you’re craving authentic Italian food!
Holly B — Google review
As an Italian, I can tell you it’s as authentic as it gets. Wiped everything clean! Please DO NOT MISS OUT on this gem when here. Highly recommended!
Ambra L — Google review
If you are looking for real italian food but really real, this is the place. The chef is doing his own handmade pasta which is delicious. Spaghetti Carbonara and amatriciana are our favorite. But the “top selection “ which is a plate of prosciutto, and other italian ham and sausage and italian cheese is a must try. For the wine we are never disappointed with the primitivo. Basically every dish is good and the chef is extremely selective regarding the products is cooking with. Everything is fresh and tasty. I also recommend the lasagna, simply delicious and the carpaccio di manzo. Don’t miss it!

Excellent authentic Italian cuisine. Italian owner/cook with friendly attentive, Thai staff. House red wine was very good Was craving Italian food since all that I have been eating lately is Thai and seafood. This was the perfect choice. I had penne pasta with added meatballs…and a nice green salad. Perfect. Highly recommend. 🍝🍷👍🏼

The gluten free selection is amazing. They have sandwiches, pizza, pasta and pastries and it’s all delicious. The pizza crust is light and fully, the bread is the same. 10/10 would recommend for those with celiac, gluten free or normal bread eaters as they have regular bread as well!

Lotus’s Sichon is a large store located about 25 minutes away from Khanom near the beach. It offers a variety of Thai foods and non-food goods, with about 40% of its offerings dedicated to food options. The store also features an indoor KFC and Dairy Queen ice cream chain. In addition to groceries, it provides banking services, cafes, pharmacies, mobile phone shops, as well as clothing, sporting goods, kitchenware, bedding items and electronics.
A huge supermarket in Sichon with a lot of fresh fruits, bakery and vegetables. You can find almost everything here.

Every day more and more expensive. If you see the prices with last year. make me very angry, .cheese three weeks ago 140 bth, two weeks ago 145 bth, one week ago 149 bth and now 159 bth. Catfood expensive, Toilet paper 20 bath mote for six rol, apples much more expensive, coffee more expensive. But the salary of peaple is the same. Park places for older peaple is difficult, because the Thai is to lazy to walk five meters and park the motor bikes on the invalid places.

Our favorite place In Sichon. Very clean, staff very friendly and well behaving. Only some of employees occupies family bathroom, instead of normal, which is a problem for us when we shop with baby and need it, but we have to wait for them to stop scroll tik tok for very long time. Would be nice if management could do something about it.

Great experience. Small space. Nevertheless you can find almost everything you need. From food to electronics. There is also a few places with food. The thai food is cheap and tasty. I liked that they don't use plastic spoons and plates. There is free drinking water dispensers.

I live in a little town 30km away that only has little shops, so scooter here twice a month to stock up on groceries. The supermarket has banks, cafés, pharmacy, mobile phone shops and sells not only food and everyday items, but clothes, sporting good, stationary, kitchen and bedding items and electrical goods from rice makers to TVs. Plus Sichon has a big open market and beautiful beaches and tasty restaurants.
Bryn B — Google review
Disappointed how unfriendly and rough can be this guys. They simply hate tourists especially white skin. Visited this grocery store while my stay in Sichon Once, carrying heavy basket I came to the cashier and she just tern her face and close the desk. I went to another cashier but minute later she served next customer - local thai women. She closed counter beside my face coz am a tourist and more descasting coz am European white face! You government do all the best to help ppl recover from lock down troubles and recover economy and tourist sector fast but some ppl do not deserve that. Hope your business continue to faced with that troubles coz you reject customers by the use race and skin color. You deserve to face with all after lockdown troubles and low customer flow what brings your business fall and struggling. I guess you know that all happened by the reason

Buddhist temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Wat Samret, located near Th Ban Hua, is a serene temple showcasing remarkable Buddha statues and a forest of ancient stupas. The site features a rare solid marble Mandalay sitting Buddha, along with a tranquil long reclining Buddha surrounded by various Buddhist figures. Inside the temple's hall, visitors can explore over 80 intriguing Buddha images, including the prominent Reclining Buddha.
It is a local temple with real sense of Thai Buddhist temple. The temple was build since ancient time for almost 150 years. This temple is the place for Buddhism religion activities for local Samui people. Especially, the name of the temple in Thai means “success”. So when you visit the temple and pray at Buddha, you pray and make any wish by ending the wish with the word of “may all your wish success”. If you are interested to make a merit, you can give the monk some drinking water and rice as this means that you make merit in Buddhism then the monk will give you back the blessing. The temple is not big and it may takes you 15-20 minutes to visit the whole place.
Sriprapha N — Google review
An okay temple to visit if you happen to be nearby but might not be something worth driving for as a single experience. It’s pretty plain but of course still beautiful like all temples in Thailand are. It’s located a bit in the middle of nothing so go here by scooter. If you walk and come from the south you will notice that not all people in Samui is living luxury lives. I would beware of the dogs at the temple.
Kasper H — Google review
I was the only tourist there during my visit, very quiet place. Some "off the beaten track" Temples I've visited have had very aggressive, territorial dogs, but no problem here. Several friendly dogs came up to me. As is often the case at Country Temples, some construction/refurbishment is taking place. The oldest part of the Temple is the Old Stupa, one of only three built by Khrua Putsorn and restored by the Department of Fine Arts in 2001. There are lots of small shrines arranged in rows around the site

Samui Elephant Sanctuary Chaweng Noi

Samui Elephant Sanctuary Chaweng Noi offers an incredible and private experience with rescued elephants. Visitors can independently arrive at the sanctuary, where they will be greeted by friendly and informative guides. The elephants are well cared for, healthy, and happy. The half-day visit includes a pick-up and drop-off service as well as a delicious lunch with vegetarian options. The sanctuary is thoughtfully designed to provide ample space for the elephants to roam freely.
Special animals. Special work. I appreciate the opportunity to meet such majestic, beautiful animals in an ethical, safe environment. All of the ladies (elephants) have a story that saddens, angers and inspires. What a cathartic place. 🙏🏾🐘 I enjoyed preparing and feeding "sushi" and "meatballs" to these Queens! Also, I meet a new employee of the sanctuary who just graduated from the program. Congrats and I hope to run into you again! 🙏🏾🐘

We went to the Samui elephant sanctuary in Chaweng Noi and had an amazing time with the elephants. Our guide was Lett and she was fantastic, so funny knowledgeable and friendly. There were never too many questions, she answered them all, she made sure every one on the tour enjoyed themselves and that they had all of the information they wanted. While being so aware of everything and everyone around her. There was one little boy in the group that needed a little more supervision than others and it was like she had eyes in the back of her head. Lett made the tour that much more enjoyable because of the way she interacted with all of the guests. We could not recommend this tour more highly, we fed the elephants, made their food and watched them bath, the elephants felt safe and comfortable with the interactions and we all just loved to watch them do their thing.
Danielle H — Google review
A must do in Koh Samui. Kampeng was our guide and it was his first job - he was very enthusiastic, educational and caring about the elephants. After thoroughly researching this I found it was awarded as one of the most ethical sanctuaries in the world and the elephants were all rescued from riding and torture. We were fully educated on this and were treated respectfully, from making their food from scratch and feeding them and watching them interact from a natural distance. This was wholesome, heart warming and soulful to know we were contributing to a sanctuary that supports rescuing elephants from harmful tourist activities.

An amazing experience we did the morning short visit. 2000 baht and worth it. We got coffee, tea, water. The food mking was fun and the feeding. The walking tour in the habitat and it was so fun. The treat them amazing and we had a great guide that did jokes and was very informative

AMAZING experience all around. You learn all about the sanctuary and elephants and get to make the food you feed them. The food they make is very good too (for humans). I would definitely recommend, the staff were very friendly and spoke English well.
Laura L — Google review
We loved it, because it’s an ethical sanctuary, they care about the animals’ well being and combine it with making it a memorable experience for the visitors as well. The guide was very good too, very knowledgable and he explained every elephant’s story, from what kind of abuse they have experienced to how they were rescued.
Jakob P — Google review
Took a cab up by myself and was able to feed the elephants. So amazing! Will definitely do more of a tour when I have time, but this was perfect for today. Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and it was a really great time!
Erin — Google review
We spent a lovely morning here watching and feeding elephants. Our guide was very engaging and knowledgeable about the elephants including the background of each and how they are cared for now that they are located here. The thing to remember is that this sanctuary is taking older elephants away from bad conditions and trying to make their lives better. We certainly felt that their lives have been significantly improved at this place from where they were previously.

30 September 2025 I don’t know why this place got so many stars. This has got to be the worst Pad Krapow I have ever tried - we ordered Beef Krapow and it had the toughest beef slices - to the point that my teeth were aching just trying to chew the meat. Enough to make a tiger cry (there’s a dish of pork by that name) Also ordered the Tom Kha Gai - chicken in coconut soup. Again, the breast meat was tough and tasteless. The coconut soup was not half bad though. Probably appeals to the Farangs - those customers who were here at noon were mostly white Caucasians, who ordered beer - can’t ruin a bottled beer. For those used to good Thai cooking, you can give this place a miss. The decor is designed to attract the foreigners to the quaint kitschy huts (see photo) The food is catered to the Farangs and sadly, not tasty at all.

Great seafood! You can really taste that this is fresh seafood compared to many other places we have eaten on the island. The restaurant itself is a relaxed, open and large outdoor space in a quiet corner of Samui. The staff were attentive and friendly and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. I also liked that a carafe of house wine was an option. Overall, this is a real hidden gem if you enjoy quality seafood and we will be returning for sure.

We had lunch here today, couple pineapple shakes, they picked some flowers for extra decoration Wife had a seafood salad, I had a local curry with some rice and we shared some fried prawn cakes. I was expecting slightly bigger portions, but it was tasty enough, probably will come back later to try out some of the other parts of the menu. Lunch was 500 Baht so gives you an idea of the price Staff were friendly and cheerful, nice little place Update: of the 3 places within quick walking distance of the centara villas for food, this was our favourite; value for money and taste of food. We ended up going three times in total. Starters of grilled squid and the prawn cake were favorites, I also tried the green curry, super coconuty, and loads of sauce, almost like a soup- personally prefer a little thicker, but was still great. Tried a beef salad and a clear seafood soup broth too. All the dishes tasted so fantastic, really going to miss this place, wife reckons is best she has had in Thailand for this price range. Hope you like it as much as we did if you are staying in this area :)

Great for Thai food. They removed the bones from the steam fish to make it easier to eat? Overall good price, and great tasting food and service!

Thai food is awesome and the prices are more than fair! Do yourself a favour and don't try their pizza. It's not a western restaurant. Very friendly staff :)

Extremely good service. Staff was incredibly nice. Food was great too. A starter and 2 decently sized main courses left us completely full. All in all it cost us 900 THB with non-alcoholic drinks. I can imagine one could manage to have a nice dinner for 2 in the 600-1500 THB range depending on just how fancy you want to eat (there are a lot of good choices). Would highly recommend and will visit again.

Restaurant
Sabienglae is a renowned restaurant with two branches, one at Lamai Beach near the famous Hin Ta Hin Yai and another at Bangrak Beach. It is popular among both locals and tourists, offering a wide menu that includes local dishes like wai khua (squid cooked in coconut milk) and seafood specialties. The restaurant boasts a beautiful location with excellent service and a pleasant ambiance.
We had a lovely dinner for two by the sea, and the experience was truly memorable. The highlight of the evening was the flowers crab in Indian curry sauce – fresh, meaty, and well-balanced with rich spices that paired beautifully with the sweetness of the crab. The oysters were impressively large, fresh, and excellent value for money. We also enjoyed the cockles, which were nicely cooked and full of flavor. For variety, we had a vegetable dish that complemented the seafood nicely, while the squid with salted egg yolk and ginger stood out for its freshness and well-executed mix of textures. The setting added to the experience – a sea-facing view that made the meal even more enjoyable. Do note, though, that it’s best to book ahead if you want a table with the best view. Overall, a satisfying seafood dining experience with great flavors and a relaxing seaside atmosphere.

A beautiful and well decorated restaurant by the beach. Delicious and authentic food. I only gave 4 stars cos the kitchen forgot our crab stir fried in curry powder and after checking it arrived when we almost finished other dishes. Great service otherwise.

Lovely seafood restaurant, wanted the snapper with garlic and chilli in lime sauce broth, food is delicious with great service and the restaurant was busy. The manager or owner was attentive with our table and called the food out timely, really enjoy the overall experience! Thank you

Awesome location, get there early preferably before dark to enjoy a cocktail and the view. The service could’ve been better. We felt that they have no excuse for their lack of attention to detail or attentiveness. The food was outstanding.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. The quality of the food was outstanding ,far above what you usually find elsewhere. Every dish felt carefully prepared and full of flavor. The manager was incredibly attentive, truly listened to us, and gave excellent recommendations that made the whole experience even better. A place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for genuine quality and warm hospitality.

The restaurant right by the sea has a good atmosphere and a beautiful view. Our Thai food was excellent, fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the different flavors and the preparation. The service staff is friendly and attentive. That's why we definitely recommend it and give it 5*****. We will come back! 😊

Thai food with private beach. The restaurant offers thai foods and while waiting for that you can walk along the beach. The wind was flowing at it is open air restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Price is on a higher side but you pay for the view.
