With only 1 day to squeeze in as much activities as you can, we strategically grouped the must-sees, Nagai Uminote Park Soleil Hill and Arasaki Park with surrounding point of interests to make sure you don’t leave Miura without getting the most bang for your time. Combining the average time spent at each location and traveling time in between, it should fill up about 8 hours of your day.

Nagai Uminote Park Soleil Hill is a beloved destination for tourists and locals. It boasts a vast seaside area featuring vibrant flowerbeds, a charming boat pond, engaging playgrounds, and an endearing petting zoo. Additionally, the park offers the excitement of a Ferris wheel ride.
For English speakers, a fun park to bring your family too. A lot of activities for the little kids. The park in itself is free but most of the activities there you'll have to pay about 400 yen or more depending on the activity. There is a hill slide, train ride, petting zoo, ropes course, paddle row boats, go carts, archery, and more. There is a ticket booth usually right outside of the activity but it is all in Japanese so make sure you are choosing the right one. They do sell a bulk of 12 tickets for 4000 yen which saves you 800 yen if you are interested in that. You can spend most of the day there without doing any of the pay activity and just pay for parking too. Playgrounds are free and plenty of space for kids to run around. Just beaware the ticket booths are in Japanese so you'll have to know which one to buy. Also, the ticket booths currently don't accept the new bills so be careful if you have new ones. Also try to have 1000 yen bills as they don't accept 5000 or 10000. However there are exchange one near some ticket booths.
Many people that comes here brings there own tent and set it up for the day to come back to and rest. Spaces are first come first serve. They also do have actual camping area and cabins to rent if want to spend the night there.
Plenty of vending machine and places to grab food too. Worth checking out the strawberry soft cream which they have it right by the main entrance.
Parking is about 1050 yen and they will scan your license plate when you go in. Highly suggested to pay for parking before entering the park as it can get backed up when leaving. Just remember the 4 numbers on your plate. They do accept credit cards at the machines, no English options of if you need help you'll need to seek assistance but it is pretty straight forward.
Worth checking out and great day of outing. We will be back again!

Great family get away for a day or even to stay! The zipline was so much fun and you get an awesome view of Mt.Fuji if you are fortunate enough. Lots of stuff for the kids to do and yummy places to eat! The flowers were very pretty and well maintained.
A great park to take your whole family to include your pup! The dog park is also pretty nice. The play grounds are huge and the camp areas are pretty nice. Lots of parking and not too expensive.
This park is amazing. We went as a group of adults and had a great time. No children needed to enjoy the park. During our time in Yokosuka area we went here twice. One of the days it was very rainy and we didn’t get to see the animals at the zoo, but rode the Ferris wheel and enjoyed the beautiful flowers. The staff was very helpful to English speakers and we felt comfortable enjoying the park. The sunny day we went, we got to see many of the animals, enjoyed the pedal boats, and the grilling experience. I’d recommend this place to those with children, solo travelers, even adults!!
Very beautiful, big and enjoyable place to go with family and friends. We had a great time and also fun activities to do with kids, consider bringing cash because you have to pay for ever activity.

I was there on Friday 15th August 2025, very crowded but you still can walk tho. Less foreigner tourists.
Guess, the favorite spot is the sunflower garden for taking pics.

The condition of the zoo is kinda sad-gloomy and small for some animals. Shocking they have penguins, they do need cold space rather than outdoor cage. Pony has super small cage and lonely. Capybaras and big turtles have bigger space area to roam. Dogs also look so scared to people and just wait for food to appear. So sad.
Vending machines and toilets are available anywhere.
They have restaurants as well, Italian style and Japanese style. Ice cream spot is near to the entrance gate. But the bigger restaurant inside the park doesnt have english menu so it's not really "foreigner friendly" yet. So far the service was fast and helpful for me.
The playground is so massive and many kind. Slide, gokart, mini roller coaster, ferris wheel, carousel, etc.
Picnic ground also massive, no need to worry to get your own space.
You can also do grill and they serve the store.
I hope the souvenir store get improvement for various things, not just foods and toys.
This is an amazing park for sunflower! Looks like it is opens only for summer but must to visit here! There are huge amount pf flowers around the park!!! Basically it is free to enter just need to pay for parking. There are some food places. If you have small kids, never get bored for them!!! Good place to enjoy slow and relax for family!! Enjoy!!

It was scorching hot, but the little water ponds were fun. Petting zoo was also sweet.

Arasaki Park is a picturesque coastal park located on a rocky headland with stunning views of Mount Fuji across Sagami Bay. The park offers easy hiking trails, making it a great spot for those looking to enjoy the outdoors without much difficulty. One notable feature of the park is its rare free parking as well as ample space.
Great park for views and easy hiking. Free parking in Japan is rare and there are plenty of spots. I've been here a few times and I love how empty it is every time. I've pretty much had the place to myself with my dogs every time. I think this is one of my favorite places to chill in my neighborhood.

Arasaki Park in Yokosuka is a beautiful spot with a rugged coastline and scenic views.
Scenic Views: The park offers stunning views of Sagami Bay, Mount Fuji, and the Amagi Mountains, especially from Sunset Hill.
Nature Trails: There are several walking paths along the coast, providing a great way to enjoy the natural beauty.
Picnic Areas: There are designated picnic spots, making it a perfect place for a relaxing day out.
Wildlife: The park is known for its diverse birdlife and occasional sightings of other wildlife.
Facilities: While there are parking spaces, vending machines, and toilets, there are no shops or shower facilities.
A hidden gem in the nature. Perfect place for fishing and enjoying a quiet alone time. There are some underrated caves and swimming areas as well, completely natural and heavenly. Rough roads at places so need to be careful during the adventure.
A nice park next to the sea. Kids also can play at the beach or ocean. Parking is little bit expensive.

Cape Arasaki (荒崎 lit. Ara Cape) is located in a fishing and farming village called Nagai, which falls under the city of Yokosuka in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Cape Arasaki sits the the lower 1/3 of the Miura Peninsula on the west coast facing Sagami Bay. This location in particular is perfect for catching a beautiful seascape with Mt. Fuji rising high above in the west if you are lucky enough to have a day of clear weather and zero haze on the water's horizon.
The cape consists of several attractions both on the coastline and further inland but nearby:
Arasaki Park
→ Seaside Hiking Trail: This is less of a hiking trail and more of a walking trail. Parts of the trail use concrete bridges and railings. Other parts, however, require that you crawl over slipper sandstone. Would recommend good fitting shoes or boots. Probably best if you avoid loose sandals or flip flops to avoid slipping and causing injury to yourself.
→ Picnic grounds: There are a few picnic tables spread out over a grassy area under some trees. There is enough space where you can throw down a picnic blanket if the tables are already taken.
→ Parking: I arrived on a weekday so the parking was free. There is a flat fee of 1,000 yen for the whole day (8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) if you arrive early enough to beat the crowds. I arrived at 5:30 a.m. and already there were people lining up in their cars.
→ Public transportation: The park is still accessible by train and bus if you want to avoid dealing with traffic.

Food was decent, the conveyor belt was almost always empty. The have a second sushi delivery system which allows you to order sushi directly. The second system was good.

Great place , great view , great food … but slow service . Nice waterfront chilled terrasse ! One thing to know is that you have a 10% additionnel charge he called SSCC set by the owner (without clear prior information)
Loved this restaurant! The staff was friendly and very responsive. The food was amazing and the sea view was great.
Beach End Cafe is a two story dining facility. There is outdoor dining on their porch with sea views and the ambience is amazing.
Went for their lunch course and it was amazing.
Highly recommend a visit if you're in the Miura area.
Very-relaxed waterfront dining. The pasta del giorno was rigatoni cooked Italian al dente (slightly chewy) with crumbled sausage, arugula, and sliced squash. I had their take on carbonara which had shaved canon instead of pancetta, a noodle I’ve never seen before but perfect for the dish, and an orange sauce which I imagine comes from the “princess eggs.” It was so good that I had to restrain myself from using my finger to wipe my bowl clean. Oh, on another reviewer’s recommendation I ordered the iced cafe latte which was delicious! Only downside was the dishes for our party of seven came out at five minute intervals due to the small kitchen and staff.
We enjoyed the Christmas Dinner set menu. Each course was elegantly served and so delicious. The Cloudy Bay New Zealand wine was an excellent addition to dinner. I will definitely come again!
The food is delicious! The creamy iced cafe au lait is the best I’ve ever had. Also the atmosphere both inside and outside is great. Beautiful ocean view. Very clean and very friendly staff. I most definitely recommend if you are in the area.
