Miura in 3 days

If you only have 3 days to spend in Miura, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Miura, at the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula, is known for its rugged coastline, sandy beaches, and clear views of Mount Fuji on fine days. The city is famous for its fresh tuna and other seafood, especially around Misaki Port, where markets and casual eateries highlight the local catch. Visitors can enjoy coastal walks and lighthouses, such as around Jogashima Island, as well as seasonal flower fields and farm stands that showcase the area’s agricultural side. Its proximity to Tokyo and Yokohama makes it an easy day trip for ocean scenery, seafood, and a slower-paced atmosphere.
With favorites like Umanose Cave, BEACHEND CAFE, and Jogashima Park, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Kappa Sushi Miura and BEACHEND CAFE so you can get the best taste of Miura while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Theme park
Nagai Uminote Park Soleil Hill is a beloved destination for tourists and locals. It boasts a vast seaside area featuring vibrant flowerbeds, a charming boat pond, engaging playgrounds, and an endearing petting zoo. Additionally, the park offers the excitement of a Ferris wheel ride.
For English speakers, a fun park to bring your family too. A lot of activities for the little kids. The park in itself is free but most of the activities there you'll have to pay about 400 yen or more depending on the activity. There is a hill slide, train ride, petting zoo, ropes course, paddle row boats, go carts, archery, and more. There is a ticket booth usually right outside of the activity but it is all in Japanese so make sure you are choosing the right one. They do sell a bulk of 12 tickets for 4000 yen which saves you 800 yen if you are interested in that. You can spend most of the day there without doing any of the pay activity and just pay for parking too. Playgrounds are free and plenty of space for kids to run around. Just beaware the ticket booths are in Japanese so you'll have to know which one to buy. Also, the ticket booths currently don't accept the new bills so be careful if you have new ones. Also try to have 1000 yen bills as they don't accept 5000 or 10000. However there are exchange one near some ticket booths. Many people that comes here brings there own tent and set it up for the day to come back to and rest. Spaces are first come first serve. They also do have actual camping area and cabins to rent if want to spend the night there. Plenty of vending machine and places to grab food too. Worth checking out the strawberry soft cream which they have it right by the main entrance. Parking is about 1050 yen and they will scan your license plate when you go in. Highly suggested to pay for parking before entering the park as it can get backed up when leaving. Just remember the 4 numbers on your plate. They do accept credit cards at the machines, no English options of if you need help you'll need to seek assistance but it is pretty straight forward. Worth checking out and great day of outing. We will be back again!

Great family get away for a day or even to stay! The zipline was so much fun and you get an awesome view of Mt.Fuji if you are fortunate enough. Lots of stuff for the kids to do and yummy places to eat! The flowers were very pretty and well maintained.
Joshua B — Google review
A great park to take your whole family to include your pup! The dog park is also pretty nice. The play grounds are huge and the camp areas are pretty nice. Lots of parking and not too expensive.
William N — Google review
This park is amazing. We went as a group of adults and had a great time. No children needed to enjoy the park. During our time in Yokosuka area we went here twice. One of the days it was very rainy and we didn’t get to see the animals at the zoo, but rode the Ferris wheel and enjoyed the beautiful flowers. The staff was very helpful to English speakers and we felt comfortable enjoying the park. The sunny day we went, we got to see many of the animals, enjoyed the pedal boats, and the grilling experience. I’d recommend this place to those with children, solo travelers, even adults!!
Sofia S — Google review
Very beautiful, big and enjoyable place to go with family and friends. We had a great time and also fun activities to do with kids, consider bringing cash because you have to pay for ever activity.
Carla N — Google review
A massive park, very good for family picnic and couple date. I was there on Friday 15th August 2025, very crowded but you still can walk tho. Less foreigner tourists. Guess, the favorite spot is the sunflower garden for taking pics. Free entry, but you will have to pay to get into their small zoo. The condition of the zoo is kinda sad-gloomy and small for some animals. Shocking they have penguins, they do need cold space rather than outdoor cage. Pony has super small cage and lonely. Capybaras and big turtles have bigger space area to roam. Dogs also look so scared to people and just wait for food to appear. So sad. Vending machines and toilets are available anywhere. They have restaurants as well, Italian style and Japanese style. Ice cream spot is near to the entrance gate. But the bigger restaurant inside the park doesnt have english menu so it's not really "foreigner friendly" yet. So far the service was fast and helpful for me. The playground is so massive and many kind. Slide, gokart, mini roller coaster, ferris wheel, carousel, etc. Picnic ground also massive, no need to worry to get your own space. You can also do grill and they serve the store. I hope the souvenir store get improvement for various things, not just foods and toys.

This is an amazing park for sunflower! Looks like it is opens only for summer but must to visit here! There are huge amount pf flowers around the park!!! Basically it is free to enter just need to pay for parking. There are some food places. If you have small kids, never get bored for them!!! Good place to enjoy slow and relax for family!! Enjoy!!

Great place to enjoy a Sunday lazy day. It was scorching hot, but the little water ponds were fun. Petting zoo was also sweet.

Nature & Parks
Arasaki Park is a picturesque coastal park located on a rocky headland with stunning views of Mount Fuji across Sagami Bay. The park offers easy hiking trails, making it a great spot for those looking to enjoy the outdoors without much difficulty. One notable feature of the park is its rare free parking as well as ample space.
Great park for views and easy hiking. Free parking in Japan is rare and there are plenty of spots. I've been here a few times and I love how empty it is every time. I've pretty much had the place to myself with my dogs every time. I think this is one of my favorite places to chill in my neighborhood.

Arasaki Park in Yokosuka is a beautiful spot with a rugged coastline and scenic views. Scenic Views: The park offers stunning views of Sagami Bay, Mount Fuji, and the Amagi Mountains, especially from Sunset Hill. Nature Trails: There are several walking paths along the coast, providing a great way to enjoy the natural beauty. Picnic Areas: There are designated picnic spots, making it a perfect place for a relaxing day out. Wildlife: The park is known for its diverse birdlife and occasional sightings of other wildlife. Facilities: While there are parking spaces, vending machines, and toilets, there are no shops or shower facilities.

A hidden gem in the nature. Perfect place for fishing and enjoying a quiet alone time. There are some underrated caves and swimming areas as well, completely natural and heavenly. Rough roads at places so need to be careful during the adventure.

A nice park next to the sea. Kids also can play at the beach or ocean. Parking is little bit expensive.

Got to see a nice sunset around 5:30! (mid-March) I almost went in heels and was very glad I didn’t… Parking was free (weekday), there was hardly anyone there, and it was relaxing, beautiful.

Highly recommended. Often parking is free, and not crowded. Great for an easy stroll by the sea. Just make sure to mind the hawks if you want to eat in peace!

Cape Arasaki (荒崎 lit. Ara Cape) is located in a fishing and farming village called Nagai, which falls under the city of Yokosuka in Kanagawa Prefecture. Cape Arasaki sits the the lower 1/3 of the Miura Peninsula on the west coast facing Sagami Bay. This location in particular is perfect for catching a beautiful seascape with Mt. Fuji rising high above in the west if you are lucky enough to have a day of clear weather and zero haze on the water's horizon. The cape consists of several attractions both on the coastline and further inland but nearby: Arasaki Park → Seaside Hiking Trail: This is less of a hiking trail and more of a walking trail. Parts of the trail use concrete bridges and railings. Other parts, however, require that you crawl over slipper sandstone. Would recommend good fitting shoes or boots. Probably best if you avoid loose sandals or flip flops to avoid slipping and causing injury to yourself. → Picnic grounds: There are a few picnic tables spread out over a grassy area under some trees. There is enough space where you can throw down a picnic blanket if the tables are already taken. → Parking: I arrived on a weekday so the parking was free. There is a flat fee of 1,000 yen for the whole day (8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) if you arrive early enough to beat the crowds. I arrived at 5:30 a.m. and already there were people lining up in their cars. → Public transportation: The park is still accessible by train and bus if you want to avoid dealing with traffic. ★★ Check out the short video I made of this location at posted at the Pix4Japan YouTube channel.★★

It's a collaboration with Crayon Shin-chan and is only available to app members, but you can get a Crayon Shin-chan mini towel for every 2,000 yen including tax. This time, it was about 7000 yen for a family of 3, so we got 3 mini towels. You can't choose what's inside, so it's random, so there's a chance you'll get affected. (I suffered...) For payment, you can use various payment services such as d Payment and Kanagawa Pay (10% return). (Translated by Google) I have the impression that conveyor belt sushi restaurants are always crowded, but on this day it was empty and we were able to enjoy ourselves at our own pace. We ate and drank as much as we wanted for about 3,000 yen per person. It had been a while since I had been to conveyor belt sushi, but it was delicious. We made a reservation in advance and went as a group of four. For groups of four you can only reserve table seats, but I wanted to be able to use the touch panel without feeling shy, and the restaurant was empty, so I asked if it was possible to sit at the counter for the four of us, and they were happy to accommodate! Thank you! It was a delicious meal! Beach End Cafe is a charming waterfront eatery located along the picturesque Miura Beach, perfect for those seeking a relaxed dining experience. With its inviting terrace seating, guests can enjoy stunning sea views while savoring an array of Italian and French dishes infused with local ingredients like fresh Miura vegetables and seafood.
Beach End Cafe offers a delightful seaside experience, and our recent visit was made exceptional by our waitress, Kei. From the moment we arrived, Kei’s warm and attentive service stood out. She greeted us with a genuine smile and ensured both we and our furry companion felt welcomed. Her knowledge of the menu, including the special dog offerings, was impressive, and she provided thoughtful recommendations that catered to all our tastes. The cafe’s pet-friendly atmosphere is enhanced by its dedicated dog menu, allowing our pet to enjoy a tasty treat alongside us. The stunning beach view from the terrace added to the relaxing ambiance, making it a perfect spot for both people and dogs to relax & enjoy a good meal together . Kei’s exceptional service, combined with the cafe’s beautiful setting and pet-friendly amenities, made our visit truly memorable. We highly recommend Beach End Cafe to anyone looking for a welcoming spot to enjoy a meal with their pet. Thanks again Kei!

Loved this restaurant! The staff was friendly and very responsive. The food was amazing and the sea view was great. Beach End Cafe is a two story dining facility. There is outdoor dining on their porch with sea views and the ambience is amazing. Went for their lunch course and it was amazing. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the Miura area.

Very-relaxed waterfront dining. The pasta del giorno was rigatoni cooked Italian al dente (slightly chewy) with crumbled sausage, arugula, and sliced squash. I had their take on carbonara which had shaved canon instead of pancetta, a noodle I’ve never seen before but perfect for the dish, and an orange sauce which I imagine comes from the “princess eggs.” It was so good that I had to restrain myself from using my finger to wipe my bowl clean. Oh, on another reviewer’s recommendation I ordered the iced cafe latte which was delicious! Only downside was the dishes for our party of seven came out at five minute intervals due to the small kitchen and staff.

We enjoyed the Christmas Dinner set menu. Each course was elegantly served and so delicious. The Cloudy Bay New Zealand wine was an excellent addition to dinner. I will definitely come again!

Nestled on the Miura Peninsula, Komatsugaike Park is a serene oasis centered around the picturesque Komatsugaike Pond. This charming park is renowned for its stunning display of Kawazu cherry blossoms that bloom in early spring, creating a vibrant pink canopy perfect for leisurely picnics. Birdwatchers will delight in spotting migratory birds, while fishing enthusiasts can try their luck at catching crucian carp. The park's tranquil atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature.
Visited on 26 February, 2023. The sight near the pond is beautiful. Though there are fewer flower trees than the roadside, this place was relaxing. There are some local shops with delicious Japanese street foods.

I had an excellent experience at this park, especially for cherry blossom viewing! The colors are perfect; it’s not just a sea of pink but beautifully complemented by vibrant yellow flowers in the fields. The contrast creates a stunning visual effect, especially under the sun. We spent two hours there enjoying the views and taking photos. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to appreciate the beauty of spring!

Quaint park in Muira with a small pond and many bright pink early blooming Kawazu cherry trees and vibrant yellow flowers. This is the first week in March 2022 for these blooming beauties 🌸 not much parking except for a dirt lot which cost ¥1000 and opens at 8:30am. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the train station and another 15-25 minute walk along the tree lined road and around the pond. Also very limited space for a picnic (hanami) in a small grove of trees. I recommend early morning viewing between 7:00-8:00 am during the weekday to avoid the crowds. It does get rather crowded in the afternoon and weekends.
Annie S — Google review
Visited this park the first and second weeks of March 2022 and the early sakura is amazing. During peak (early) sakura, taking the train is easiest. The Muirakaigan station is closest but I liked going to the end of the line and walking to this park on the way back to Muirakaigan. The far side is ideal for picnics and looking across the lake to trains going by.
Knud H — Google review
A small, but cute little park on a hillside, with a view over Komatsugaike Pond and it's early blooming cherry trees. Most people pass through the park quickly or bypass it altogether, but if you walk the dirt path up the hill instead of the curving street that runs through it, you will see a few nice plum (ume) blossom trees at the same time, many with wonderful fragrances (the particular variety of early blooming cherry trees in the area do not have a noticeable scent).

Miura Beach, situated in Miura, Kanagawa Prefecture, is a stunning coastal area renowned for its sandy beaches and crystal-clear blue waters. It offers various recreational activities and designated spots for beachside barbecues. The beach is known for being less crowded compared to other seaside resorts on the Miura Peninsula, making it an ideal escape from bustling tourist areas. With calm waves perfect for families with children, this low-key beach provides a relaxing environment away from city congestion.
I have been to this Beach few times each summer. It’s a white sand Beach. Not crowded and ideal location for family visit with kids for a relaxing time because it’s not over crowded. Beach is clean though some visitors has left cans and bottles here and there which is a mistake of visitors. Nearby many shops are there like McDonalds , KFC , Coco’s , Pizza-la and convenience stores like seven eleven , family mart and Mini Stop . Parking is very close to the beach and costed 1500 Yen for 4 and half hours and all the time I went there could find space for parking . Overall it’s a lovely beach with white sand and clean and not overcrowded with many shops close by . Can see many people swimming and surfing too . Also having toilet facility nearby beach . Negative point about this place is that could not find shower room as it’s crucial after a sea bath and some shops that sells different food and drinks and rent tents / chairs and stuff like in Kamakura beach also not available here in this beach but apart from that it’s a lovely place . Hope this helped some of the visitors who wanted to visit this place and can plan your visit accordingly . Thank you and enjoy your visits and be safe always Guyz.

It is a nice beach. A bit too far from central Tokyo, but if you live close by then you're definitely lucky. It wasn't crowded on Saturday even though the weather was amazing. There's a bathroom, convenience store, a coffee shop, and a few restaurants close to the beach. The water was really dirty tho! A lot of trash and a lot of dead jellyfishes, for some reasons. The sunset was majestic.

Its a nice and accessible place to be close to the sea, but the waves were too strong to get in. There was a lot of fishermen in there and some people doing kite surfing, but no one was in the water. The sand is not white, it’s a bit tick and it smells like fish. But it was calm and maybe just not the best weather 🤷🏻‍♀️

Keikyu Aburatsubo Marine Park is a small but delightful marine park with aquariums that house various sea creatures, including sharks. Visitors can enjoy feeding encounters and even have the opportunity to touch some small sharks. The area around the port is bustling with tourists who come to savor tuna dishes at specialized restaurants and explore scenic Jogashima. Upon arrival, guests receive a map suggesting which animals to see first based on their feeding or show times.
Nice place to visit, I enjoy the show with dolphins, highly recommended......

Nice little Marine park. Kids really enjoyed the fish and the show. Beware of the hawks flying around the area, they'll swoop down and take any food from your children's hand.
Thomas T — Google review
this is an old famous aquarium. It is is a bit small one. It is closing this Sep. If you visit here, you'd know and feel why closing.
Groundhoggie — Google review
Great place for kids. Reasonable prices. Sea lion and dolphin show was amazing and just long enough to hold the attention of small children.
Robert W — Google review
Entrance fee and parking fee are a bit expensive but the indoor Dolphin show alone is worth it! Smaller aquarium, nice to not rush to see everything.
Rashell C — Google review
After a confusing bus ride and expensive ticket prices, what awaited was a fairly sad and small marine park. There was very little diversity among the species and the facilities were quite old. You could tell that the animals were tired and from speculation if there being no viewable dolphin tank the aquarium’s caretakers are slacking. They did their best for the shows and use the otters to try and promote the park, but with such old facilities its hard to enjoy as an adult. For small children who are energetic it would be fine as they have other small means of amusement. I remember coming here as a kid when it was still alive, I long to feel that sensation from somewhere with memories of my grandparents. With money and newer facilities this would be nice despite being small. I don’t recommend for families with children over 8.

A small aquarium. Good to stop by with kids when visiting Miura area.
N.Macchan — Google review
It's small but my kid loves it! you also get to touch some small sharks..etc. at the entrance you can get a map with suggestions for which animals you should go see first according to their feeding/show times. My family always get there a little before noon and have lunch at the restaurant inside the aquarium and then start from there and we get to see everything!

Seafood restaurant
Misaki Seafood Local Wholesale Market Cafeteria, also known as Misaki Cafeteria, is a quaint eatery situated by the waterfront. This simple cafeteria offers an array of delectable dishes made from freshly caught tuna and crab meat. Their menu includes a variety of options such as sushi, sashimi, soups infused with crab meat, and even fried plates. The quality and taste of their sashimi are particularly outstanding – a real treat for seafood enthusiasts.
We are just Exploring in this cute small town and we got hungry and we end up here, cute delicious restaurant. It's Cafeteria style, pick your foods order and pay, easy. Yummy. Staff all friendly and welcoming.

Nice little food spot. Hard to find and not a big menu but the food was great.
Bronson F — Google review
Nice little place where you can spend your misaki maguro kippu meal ticket (B). The cafeteria is located on the second floor of the fish market, which you can access via the staircase at the front of the building. If you are using a meal ticket, just pass it to them - that will get you their "maguro kippu" set which is mixed sashimi + a fried item + rice and miso soup. If you're not using the ticket, note that they only accept cash payment. After making payment, they will pass you a tiny receipt with a number on it. When they read the number (in Japanese), you collect your food. It's all self-service including water/tea. Food quality is excellent, albeit very similar to other places in the vicinity.

(Translated by Google) Located in Misaki Port Fish Market, this restaurant is beloved by tourists and locals alike. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including fresh tuna, sashimi set meals, seafood bowls, and fried horse mackerel, all of which are hearty. The chu-toro and lean meat in particular are exceptionally fresh, offering the delicious flavors you'd expect from a port town. The restaurant opens early in the morning, so it's a great place to stop by for breakfast after a stroll around the market. The interior is simple and lively, and the fishing port atmosphere is also appealing. Because it's a popular restaurant, it can get crowded on weekends, but turnover is relatively quick, and you'll usually be able to get in after waiting in line for a bit. While some say the prices are tourist-like, the freshness and satisfaction make it well worth it. If you want to enjoy seafood in Misaki, this is a must-visit spot. Fast food restaurant
McDonald's Miurakaigan shop, a renowned and enduring fast-food franchise celebrated for its savory hamburgers and crispy fries, offers an extensive menu designed to appease breakfast enthusiasts as well. Situated in a spotlessly pristine environment on a weekday morning, the establishment unfortunately lacked the vibrant azure sky that one might hope for at such an early hour. Surprisingly, their diverse offerings also included delectable macarons; among which, the peach and vanilla variations stood out as particularly enjoyable.
Ordered from our seats and they brought us our breakfasts ^^ (Sakura mochi pie yummm) Sparkling clean on a Wednesday morning. It was too early for a blue sky (?), too bad…

Seafood restaurant
Seabornia Clubhouse Restaurant is an upscale establishment offering a diverse selection of international cuisine. Situated in a picturesque location with bay views and a private marina, guests can enjoy their meal on the terrace. The staff is known for their warm hospitality and they even provide free mooring for diners arriving by boat. It is advisable to call ahead to reserve a berth, although they are accommodating even for spontaneous visits.
Friendly staff and free mooring if you go there for dinner. Marina asks you to call in advance to make sure that there are berths available for your boat, but they were kind to us even when we just showed up. The food is really good, with a strong Italian accent, but on the expensive side. No alcohol served at the moment because of the state of emergency, but there is plenty of good cold water supplied for free, so we were happy. Seafood is recommended.

(Translated by Google) Used for lunch. Lunch is really cheap. There are a variety of combinations, and the ramen + set meal set is a great deal. I had Taiwanese ramen + crab balls for lunch. As you can see in the photo, it came with ramen, crab balls, rice, salad, pickles, and a mini hamburger like the Marushin hamburger. It's full of volume. Since it's only 750 yen, I can't complain. The ramen is nothing special, just average. I think the crab balls have a weak flavor, but they are delicious. Stir-fried foods may be more delicious than noodles. The hamburger, pickled vegetables, and salad are a real bonus. I guess you don't need me. This restaurant is suitable for people who want to get their fill at a cheap price. Since there were 9 people in the room, I called 1 hour in advance to make a reservation. Set meals are cheap. A set of sword-shaved noodles and fried rice seemed to be recommended for 1,000 yen. The fried rice was fluffy and very delicious. I was surprised that all 9 of us were full and it cost less than 10,000 yen. Thank you for the meal. In 2019, I received the lunch set tonkotsu ramen + crab ball set (750 yen). The ramen is not good, but the crab balls are delicious and the rice goes well. Since you can get any refills of rice, I ended up having 3 bowls. Recommended. Jogashima Park is a picturesque public park situated on the edge of Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture. Encompassing nearly half of Jogasaki island, it is accessible via a connecting bridge to the mainland. The park features diverse flora, including wind-bowed trees and seasonal flowers such as daffodils and hydrangeas, creating stunning natural vistas. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along flat trails while taking in the scenic beauty.
Great place for a short hike and enjoy the ocean view and nature. Great for kids to run around and play by the rocks and tide pool. No playgrounds around but plenty of space for kids to run around and have fun in nature. The parking was 500 yen for a regular vehicle and the ticket is good for the day and can be used at any of the Jogashima parking lots. The hiking and walking trail from East end to West end is about 2km. Definitely worth checking out on a nice day with a good sea breeze. Many people come out here for wedding photos too. You can tell the spring time will be great once more flowers start blooming.

Jogashima is, in my opinion, one of the best places to visit! I’ve been to Enoshima, Jogasaki, and other similar spots, but Jogashima stands out for its sheer size and breathtaking views. The area feels much wider and more open compared to other destinations, allowing you to truly soak in the beauty of the ocean and surrounding nature. It’s a fantastic spot for relaxing walks, photography, and enjoying the fresh sea breeze. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning scenery, Jogashima is highly recommended!

This was a great place to take our kids. The parking is plentiful and inexpensive. The paths on top of the bluff are paved and very easy walking. There are some fun trails down to the shore although they were closed when we were there for to high waves. The observation deck and lighthouse both made for great views. From the comerant viewing area there is a trail that goes about a kilometer to the other lighthouse on the western end of the island. We'll definitely be back.

A very beautiful place for a quick escape. The rock cliffs were really beautiful, people were fishing in the ocean. Overall mind refreshing place. But the path is not suitable for elderly people or people with wheelchairs. Also can be considered as a picnic place for friends and family.

Absolutely stunning place. I went during the week and I hardly saw anyone. I walked through the park area and then down to the cliffs and then the lighthouse and then back to where the beach area is with the arch next to the ocean and it was super tranquil. You can bring your dogs here on leash and there is even a dog park. I highly recommend this place but two days after visiting my legs are still sore from all the climbing I did on the cliffs and from all the stairs I climbed. I will definitely be back

Beautiful spot on the tip of Miura Peninsula. Due to it being relatively difficult to access, it’s not very well known by international tourists, and has a very local relaxed vibe. Uma-no-se (horseback) Cave Mouth, located on Jogashima Island, offers a splendid view of the Pacific Ocean and a uniquely shaped rock formation. It is a popular spot for bridal photo shoots and provides breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji across Sagami Bay. The area is not stroller-friendly, but it's worth visiting for a day trip to enjoy the mountain, sea, and black rock beach.
This is the main attraction in jogashima island. This place is so amazing and photogenic 😊. Even there were more than 13 bridal photo shoot was going on the day I visited. So, even in Japanese, it’s a famous place to have good views. We can enjoy the mountain, sea and the black rock beach. There is no road so you have to walk. I will not recommend to bring your toddler. It’s not stroller friendly. But it’s worth visiting for one day trip. There are a secret place just behind the main cave. Don’t forget to bring some food also so that you can enjoy the nature without being hungry. On a great day, Mount Fuji can be also shown from here.

It's advised to make a reservation at least a day ahead if you want to enjoy this specialty dish.
I learned about this place from a YouTube channel "Paolo fromTokyo" - the restaurant Kurobatei Honten くろば亭 本店 The tuna speciality restaurant really does have high quality tuna. The next time I come back to Japan I'm definitely adding this place to my future pilgrimages for food restaurants!

Went to Japan for a month and this was one of the highlights of our trip. The fish is so fresh and the service is outstanding. Be prepared to have your google translate or do better and learn a little bit of Japanese so you can ask them for recommendations. The “maguro sashimi setto” aka tuna sashimi set is amazing and will blow your mind.

MIND BLOWN!!! You have not truly had tuna until you’ve been to Kuroba-tei Honten in Misaki. The pre-opening tuna cutting show was immaculate — a real performance that sets the tone before you even sit down. The atmosphere inside is cozy, lively, and full of character. Every dish we tried was incredible. The maguro was oishiiiii — some of the freshest and most flavorful tuna I’ve ever had in my life. Highlights included the tuna cheek steak (hoho-niku), the maguro don (rice bowl), and the sashimi platter. Portions are generous, and you’ll probably be too full for the rest of the day. Pro tip: Arrive before 11:00am, write your name down, and wait — this place fills up fast for good reason. Hands down, one of the best dining experiences of my life. If you love seafood or want to experience tuna like never before, this is an absolute must-visit in Japan.

Great place to stop at for authentic maguro. It’s very popular so you may want to have a reservation before you go (even few days early may be best to do so).

You can eat any kinds of Maguro dishes there! I tried one of Maguro-Don and it was really nice! But the portion is little small… I recommend you to order one Don and at least one side dish.

URARI Seafood Market is a small but special market that focuses on tuna and offers locally grown vegetables as well as convenient seafood snacks. It's considered the gem of the port, with a history dating back to the Showa era when significant advancements were made in the fishing industry. The market has modern facilities including ultra-low temperature fridges. Visitors who are early risers can experience the excitement of witnessing auctions for fresh fish during the early morning hours.
Cute sea foods market, very interesting! We enjoyed our visit in this market, we meet a gentleman very friendly, he speak English we bought a small lunch bag cooler to him.

Am definitely gonna come back here for tuna supplies. The cost of tuna cuts are so much cheaper than at supermarkets and there are some food stalls with snacks, souvenirs and fresh produce too. Stopped by a meat and sesame bun shop which have tuna in the filling - tasty and nice umami flavor. As well as a couple delicatessan stalls with various fried food. Enjoyed the Tuna croquette. There are also some crane games and vending machines too if you need them and some spaces to sit. On the other side is the lovely port where you can enjoy the view and check out the boats docked here. Great place to visit on your trip to Misaki port.

It isn’t big place but has sufficient tuna on the ground floor. Shop keepers are very friendly and they sell different parts of tuna, sometimes quite rare such as head, cheek and tail. Most of them are frozen and quite expensive for its quality. There are some shops that grills fresh sea shells and fish for take-away. What’s good is the first floor where local fresh vegetables are sold. The vegetables are so fresh, large and very cheap. You can also buy local beers, local beef (high quality Hayama beef but frozen) and fresh fruit juice. The place also has a terrace (inside with air-conditioner and outside with a ocean-view), no table charge. You can bring up the take-away fish from the ground floor. It is better to arrive before 09:00 in order to avoid items sold out in the shops and what’s more important...traffic jam. This area is famous for the nasty road congestion and if you don’t reach here before 09:30 or 10:00, you will be stuck. Car parking spaces are limited and usually full before 09:30. You will get a car park discount ticket if you buy over 2,000 JPY in one shop (you cannot aggregate the amount from different shops.) 1 -1.5 hour should be enough to enjoy this place. There are many fish shops and restaurants in the area and may be it is nice just to walk around.

On April 13, 2018, a group of friends visited the seafood restaurant 鮮味楽 using the "KEIKYU Misaki Maguro Pass". Despite arriving near closing time, they were warmly welcomed by the accommodating staff. The manager, who may also be the owner, engaged in friendly conversation with them and displayed exceptional hospitality. The food that arrived was served in generous portions and consisted of incredibly fresh Maguro (tuna).
Here is I think one of popular Sushi & MAGURO restaurant in MISAKI area now. Located in just next to URARI-Marche, so quite easy to access from the center of MISAKI harbor. I ordered “Medium Toro Bowl”and my colleague ordered “MAGURO Bowl”. Medium Toro is really yummy and best- matched with vinegared rice. MAGURO Bowl includes many kind of different part/ style of Tuna and my colleague said all of these are tasty and satisfied enough! Price settings are a little bit high overall but worth to come, I think.(Note: only cash is acceptable)

3 mins walk to this fantastic restaurant from the bus stop. Very satisfied when the kind, older waitress was patient with the occasional non-working google translation. Loved the sushi rice bowls that we ordered separately. Superb Japan grown rice!! Upstairs is a room with tatami mats for multiple groups of 4. Ordered 3 plates of fried oysters (very flaky, tasty and juicy - perfecto), omakase sushi, sushi sets and fried tuna here and there.

My friends and I were here on 13 April 2018 using the "KEIKYU Misaki Maguro Pass". As we were approaching the store, we asked if they could still accept us n they graciously welcomed us despite that they were closing for the day. While waiting for the food to arrive, the friendly manager (maybe owner) came over to chat with us. She was really hospitable. When e food arrive, e portion looks very generous. Maguro was REALLY fresh. It was SO GOOD. Best part of the evening was as we were finishing our dinner, we were given free ice cream! For being their last customers of the day. It was really a pleasant surprise! Do consider using the KEIKYU Misaki Maguro Pass's meal ticket @ 鮮味楽 (Sen Mi Raku) if you are visiting Misaki with the train pass.

Tastes pretty good, but a bit too pricey. Though you may be able to find better restaurants in Tokyo, it’s totally ok to visit this while you’re traveling around this area. Note that it’s likely to be crowded to some extent especially in weekends, and staffs are friendly “in a sense” - it’s not necessarily comfortable for everyone.

Absolutely lovely! Came here with several friends toward closing time to use our Misaki Maguro Ticket. The staff was very polite and chatted with us in Japanese, while we waited for our food, then explained the different kinds of tuna in English and Japanese. The food was also delicious, a great sampler of tuna with just the right amount of rice. This is my new go-to when visiting the Jogashima area!

If you find yourself in Misakiguchi, make sure to stop by Sakuraya for an unforgettable tuna experience! This charming eatery exudes a rustic vibe that transports you back in time. While it may not boast flashy decor, the dedication to quality is evident. The friendly staff enhances your dining experience as you savor their signature three-colored rice bowl, featuring impressively thick fillets of tuna that are perfectly balanced and not overly greasy.

The staff was very friendly and I had a pleasant meal. I had the recommended three-colored rice bowl, but I was surprised at how thick the fillets were.
