It's a hard walk up that hill although not impossible. The exhibition is lovely but lacks any translated notes and needed a translation machine to get the full vibe.
Nice kokeshi museum with friendly staff. You can also paint kokeshi yourself, which is very recommendable.
For 500 yen admission per person it doesn’t have too much to offer, it was okay. Staff was a good number of folks, but that was pretty much it.
Disappointed that the area where a craftsman could be working was not running as I had hoped this would be where I could see kokeshi being made but otherwise a lovely museum with a great great collection of historical dolls in different styles.
Cute doll museum, showing the many different varieties from different regions. You can also paint one yourself for a fee. However the museum is small and there is no English whatsoever.

I parked my car in the parking lot above the restaurant and walked up and down the wooden staircase, but the stairs weren't exactly evenly spaced, so some people may need to be careful. It's best to wear sneakers.

そばと川魚を同時に食べられる所がないかと探したらヒットしたのでドライブがてら訪問。
平日遅めの時間に行きましたがちょうど昼のお客さんが一段落したようで駐車場には車に乗り込む人がちらほら。
店に入ると自分１人でした。
目的通り岩魚天ざる(大盛り2700円)を注文。
料理が来るまでスマホで暇つぶしをしようとしたら電波が悪くページが開けない（キャリアはauです）
ボーっと待ってるか…と思っていたところサービスで天ぷらを提供していただき味わいながら待てました。
ほどなくしてメインが来ました。
大きなお盆で来たそばは大盛りなだけありなかなかのボリュームで、乗っているもみじの葉や天ぷらの上に乗っている稲穂の素揚げなど見栄えも良いです。
まずはそばから食べます。
コシがしっかりあるタイプのそばです(個人的にはほんの少しだけ追加で茹でても良いかもです好みの問題ですね)
そして天ぷらに手をつけましたがメインの岩魚はふっくらしていて頭から尻尾まで丸ごと食べられます。美味〜
他の野菜も良い感じです。
そして最後の方にそば湯が来ましたが濃度高めタイプでトロっとしてます。
そのあと最初に単品で頼もうとしたらサービスで付いてますよと言われたそばがき揚げを頼んで出してもらって食べましたが単品でも十分美味しいのですが日本酒が欲しくなる味でした。
なお自分は店舗の上の方の駐車場に車をとめて木製の階段を上り下りしましたがぴったり直角の等間隔とは言えない感じなので人によっては注意が必要ですね。スニーカーとかで行った方が良いです。
自然に囲まれた雰囲気の良い美味しいそば屋さんでした。

お腹いっぱいになったあとは敷地内を散策。

平日、11時ジャストに入店で2組目でしたがその後入れ代わり立ち代わりお客さんがみえて、人気店なのがうかがえました。
お店の方も感じが良く、終始気持ちよく過ごせました。
