The best place ever for devotees.. Goddess Annapoorneshwari is so powerful that she makes you to automatically come there, take blessings and have the Annaprasada whenever she wants to see you. Her Ashirvada is the only thing everyone would love to have and she gives it hands full if you seek her blessings from your heart. There are accommodation facilities available. You can have a hot water bath for 30rs only. Washrooms are neat and clean. To prebook the rooms you should contact the office. Waiting time for darshana is around 5 to 10 mins and the greatness of the goddess is she allows all to get her view from as near as possible. Mangalarathi takes place around 1.30 pm in the afternoon and that might be the best time according to me to have darshana in the day time. If you are staying in there then the night darshana and mangalarathi would be great as the Alankara to the goddess looks amazing and divine. From this place sringeri is 3 hours away and you can plan one day trip to both Sringeri and Horanadu. Many types of Seva are available and the Akki Seve is the one which is very famous.

Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple was one of the most peaceful and fulfilling experiences I’ve had. The moment you step inside, there’s a sense of comfort that’s hard to put into words. The darshan of Goddess Annapoorneshwari feels genuinely divine. The way the deity is adorned and the energy in the sanctum make the whole experience very calming. The temple administration is well-organized, and the place is maintained with real care. The highlight, of course, is the anna prasadam. It’s simple, pure and served with so much warmth that it truly lives up to the spirit of the temple. Sitting down for that meal feels like a blessing in itself. The surroundings are beautiful too, especially if you visit early in the morning or around sunset. The entire area has a quiet spiritual charm that makes you want to stay back for a while. If you’re anywhere near Chikkamagaluru, this temple is a must-visit. You leave with a full heart and a feeling of gratitude.

Nice temple. The temple located on the bank of Tunga river. Very powerful godess. We visited the temple just 5 days back when it was raining. Due to raining the temple sorroundong area was become dirty. Otherwise temple is well maintained. The food is very tasty. The dinning hall is very clean and hygiene. Huge car parking available opposite to the temple. Overall it is very good holly place and everyone should visit.

The darshan felt very special and serene. The temple management is very organized. The darshan queue moves quite smoothly, and even on weekends or special days, the wait is not too long. There’s no specific fee for regular darshan, and the temple offers free meals (Anna Prasada) to all visitors throughout the day. The prasadam is simple, tasty, and served with great devotion. It’s one of the main highlights of this temple. - Clean and well-maintained premises. - Separate area for footwear and a cloakroom for bags. - Plenty of parking space near the temple. - Shops outside selling pooja items, prasadam, flowers, and souvenirs. - Lodging and food options available nearby for those who wish to stay overnight. - Darshan timings: usually from around 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Overall, Hornadu is not just a temple visit, but a soul soothing experience filled with devotion, nature, and positive energy.

This safari was beautiful! Ticket prices are around 600 rupees plus taxes per person for the jeep/boat ride. It’s best to book your tickets online. The best time to visit is during the summer. I wouldn’t recommend going during other seasons as there aren’t many animals visible. We did get to see a few deer, monkeys, wild boars, and Indian gaur. We were disappointed not to see tigers, but the safari was still excellent.

Visited this place early morning at 6.00 am Went for their open jeep safari. Thrilling experience, we weren’t fortunate enough to see a tiger but saw a lot of other animals like wild boar, sambar, bison and a lot of peacocks n peahens. Although this is luck based activity if still suggest going early morning for higher chances of spotting animals. The ride was almost for 1.30 hour. Loved it

The scenery of the place is marvelous. If you go there in early morning, you will experience this yourself. We can take the safari ride in jeeps or in boats. We travelled in Jeep and it cost us like 654 per person and there are ten seats in a jeep. Go there as early as possible because it gets filled with people in a blink of an eye. Although the ride was almost 3 and a half hours long, we did not encounter that many animals. We got stopped in our way by a wild bull. We encountered a leopard and some birds too. There are a couple of small lakes here and there. There is a resting place inbetween the ride where we can fresh up and rest for a bit. The weather was good but pretty cold. Overall, the ride was fun and enjoyable. I suggest you visit it once.

A must-visit for nature and adventure lovers! The small trek from the parking lot is refreshing and gives you panoramic views all around. The weather is unpredictable, which makes it even more exciting.

This is the highest peak in Karnataka, stands tall at 6330 feet.👍 Named after sage Mullappa swamy, who believed to have mediated in a cave at the peak. Located 20+ KMs from Chikkamagaluru, would need 40+ minutes due to the winding and scenic hilly roads. Make a note to get the Mullayanagiri vehicle pass online in advance to allow the car thru the checkpost as there are limits on the number of vehicles entering in a day. Need to park the vehicle at Seethalayana giri base and avail a local jeep services (Rs.50 per person one way) there. Jeep drops at the Mullayanagiri base / parking lot and from there it is a 20-25 minutes climb through paved stairs. There are around 450+ stairs, not very even, challenging for people with mobility issues. The climb is beautiful, offers great views of Chikkamagaluru valleys, Baba Budangiri hills and Shola forests, grasslands and distant waterfalls There are no restrooms at the peak, carry water, At the base there are many food cart vendors for snacks. No restaurants or ATMs. Weather keeps changing, most of the time mist engulfs blocking the views and offers a different kind of experience. Carry a light jacket, may tend to get colder post monsoon. At the peak/summit, there is Mullappa swamy temple and a milestone mentioning the height. The summit area can be kept clean and neat, on the other side some old buildings, thrash and debris are seen. ☹️ Would be a great place for taking pics and enjoying scenery/nature 👍

Visited this place before local authorities has made booking tickets online. View is great. Morning views are still beautiful. There is a temple at the top. One can easily spend half a day. One has to park their vehicle near Seethalayyana giri and walk or take jeep for next 3km. Even if you take jeep ride, they'll stop around 1.5 km before actual peak. So, it is very much convenient to walk as the path is very good and not much steep. There are some food vendors near the temple and near Seethalayyana giri.

Great view point. We spent ₹100 at entry, we have to do the booking online only from the website we can do, if you haven’t done you can do at the toll, even if you have network issues they have wifi. Cars ₹100 There are slots, mostly in weekends better book earlier. Bike no charge So u can go by own vehicle or rental or by package too. Own vehicle earlier is allowed till top, now they stop 3km before peak saying its new DC order. Not sure from when and why this came up, but yeah yu can take a jeep from there. Per jeep minimum 6 ppl, per person cost ₹50. In total they charge ₹300 one way, if you are group of less than 6 then also same amount or if yu okay with sharing they u can let two ppl join you. Two way cost avg ₹100 for jeep, which is quiet expensive, and to be honest we can go by our car itself. At top we have small shops, and tower is very bad. They will leave u at entrance from there u have to take 300-350 steps to reach top and there is a temple. Views were so good, climate was chill carry jackets for comfort. Since we went on a weekday it was fully empty.

We visited Mullayanagiri around 11 AM, and the views were absolutely amazing — refreshing wind, scenic mountains, and a peaceful atmosphere. From the drop point, you need to climb around 500 steps to reach the peak, which is totally worth the effort. There is also a temple at the top that adds a spiritual feel to the experience, and the view from there is just stunning. However, the experience felt a bit commercialized. From Seethalayyanagiri parking, jeeps are the only option to reach the drop point, and they charge ₹200 one way. If bikes or cars were allowed instead of forcing everyone to take the jeep, the visit would be more hassle-free and less commercial. Overall, a beautiful place to visit — great for photos and nature lovers — but the transportation arrangement could be improved.

The waterfall is absolutely beautiful-tall, milky-white cascades pouring down rocky steps surrounded by dense forest and coffee estates. The sound of falling water and birds makes it feel peaceful and untouched. It's a hidden gem for nature lovers and photographers. You can't drive your personal car to the falls. You'll need to park near a coffee estate and hire a local jeep (₹800 per ride). The jeep ride is thrilling but bumpy, with steep muddy trails and sharp turns-fun for adventure lovers, but not ideal for kids, elders, or people with back issues. The water is super cold, clean, and safe for bathing. It's shallow at the base, so people enjoy splashing, sitting under the fall, or just relaxing. Ideal for couples, groups of friends, or solo explorers who love nature. Visit early morning or on weekdays to avoid crowding. Peak weekends can be noisy and packed. Best time to visit is post-monsoon (Sept-Jan), when the water flow is strong but trails are manageable.

We planned jhari falls on a Friday. The crowd was less around 10, not much crowd. We have to reach the jeep point by own vehicle or rentals. From there we can rent a jeep. There seems to be 7 spots as they listed and charged around 3500 per jeep ( 6person ), the jeep will stay all around and drop us back too. We dint take since few places were reachable by our car itself. We wanted to go only Jhari falls, for that they charged 800 (up and down). Its a complete off road experience, very nice and recommended. The falls also was good, when we went it had water only foot level. It is good must visit. For entry you have to register which is ₹100, we can search jhari falls entry and in website we have to register its purely online only, no cash process. We have slots on weekends like each slot 300 cars allowed. Bikes no need to book m. Morning 6am - 12pm / 12-6pm slot timings If you leave early in morning, you can see beautiful views on clouds under the mountains.

Visited on 03.11.2025. Must visit waterfalls when you visit chikkamagaluru. To reach the waterfalls we have to take Off-roading jeep ride and cost of the ride per person was ₹590. The off-roading route was covered with full of scenic views and every view is beautiful one. Jeep will stop at a place which is 1 km far from the waterfalls and we have to walk that distance. Driver will take UPI payments only, he will took the amount at the middle of the ride because there will be no signals at the starting point.

The most beautiful place. I had been there two times. To reach there, we took jeep ride as other commercial and private vehicles are not allowed. Price per head is 599. You will enjoy the journey with scenic view on the way to waterfall. If you have any back pain and all, suggest not to visit and road is good. But it’s worth to get pain to reach there.

The experience is awesome. So beautiful and that off roading is worth every penny. So close to nature. On trekking path , 2 or 3 streams you will find. You will get to see crab,fish everything there. It's so refreshing and beautiful journey. For the jeep ride per head they will charge 590. Beware of the leeches. Such a beautiful place to visit in the winters.

Hebbe falls is one of the best waterfalls I have been to, the overall lead to it was great, the jeep safari through the hills, then a short 10 minute teek, finally you get to the majestic looking falls and it was all worth it. Water flow was a bit high when we went in October so we could not get too close but still it was worth it. There is a broad waterfall in front a smaller one on top in the foreground. On the way to the falls, you will also cover two small bridges which was beautiful.

Came for statute and had lemon tea. Ordered twice . First time was good , second time was horrible. Ice cream was good.

Over hyped place there's nothing really to boast about this place except for the statute, the resturant had bad odour due to stinking washrooms we couldn't even think of having food there due to the smell so one can imagine how poorly the washroom and the restaurant area is maintained. We tried the most hyped coffee ice cream priced at a whooping 80rs served in a small portion which just tastes very average, this place is not worth visiting for anything neither for food nor for ambience...all the positive reviews seem fake

Siri Coffee is the name written on the board/display, though the brand they endorse is 1952Coffee. No confusion here. 🤫 This is actually on the Siri Nature Roast resort premises facing the road. The main attraction is the Black Lady statue/sculpture adorned with grass and flowers in a lying position. Great photo opp place. There’s a small pond with ducks and a boat, again more photo opps. There’s a studio there offering professional pics with these backgrounds. 🤩 Regarding Siri coffee / 1952Coffee house - Tried coffee and Madhur Vada (freshly made after order) - excellent taste - Premium prices for the quality and experience. Great seating arrangements inside and outside. There are few spice, chocolate and candles shops also in the premises for any purchase. Parking on the roadside, careful while merging as it’s a corner and down hill (cars on the roadside are faster) Can be a quick stop for taking pics or have a good time sipping coffee and snacks enjoying nature 👍

One of the costly restaurant in chikmagalur. I had veg noodle, veg fried Rice and paneer masala. That was good in taste and quantity. But all menu items are very costly while comparing with other restaurants situated in chikmagalur town. Spacious play area and gardens are arranged here. But better thing is having food from chikmagalur town, its comparatively worth of money.

Place is good to visit but the staff needs to be more attentive. Either they will be on phone or speaking to each other . Since been a regular customer here on weekends and being a local I ordered onion pakoda which was under cooked where you people take 15 min to give the order and serve uncooked .👎

This was my first time visit with family. It's a beautiful place to visit. One can get blessed from lord Veerabhadrasheswara. Take a pair of clothes and stand below water fall. Water is too cold and water is coming from river bhadra. One can reach following Google maps, but no good restaurant near by. Place is 6km from kemmangundi hill station. It's a small spot has a small water fall near to the temple. You need to travel for almost 1 hr in hills and it's ok.not as good as other spots near by. Jhari water falls is much more better and from there again if you go up the hill the view of fog and the climate is amazing over there .

Kallathigiri Falls: A Serene Escape Marred by Human Impact We visited Kallathigiri Falls just as the rainy season was ending, a perfect time to see the waterfall at its full potential, attracting a peak crowd. The sight of the water cascading over rocks right beside a small temple creates a truly spiritual and tranquil atmosphere, a beautiful blend of nature and devotion. However, our experience was tempered by a couple of significant issues. Firstly, an entrance fee was collected by locals on the road leading to the falls, with only a basic chit as a receipt, which felt somewhat suspicious. More concerning, though, was the pervasive lack of civic sense among many visitors. It was disheartening to see plastics and other trash being thrown into the water, and people openly washing themselves with shampoo and soap in the river. It's a real shame that some don't consider that this polluted water flows directly past the temple further downstream. To escape the crowds and the pollution near the main temple area, we decided to venture further. Just before the temple entrance, we climbed a rock and followed a trail along the river. After about half a kilometer, we discovered a wonderfully clean and calm spot, completely free from the crowds. This allowed us to truly connect with the serenity of nature that the falls are capable of offering. While Kallathigiri Falls holds immense natural and spiritual beauty, visitors should be prepared for the crowds and the disheartening environmental disregard at the main viewing area. For a more peaceful and unadulterated experience, I highly recommend exploring the trails further upstream.

Kalathigiri Falls, located near Chikmagaluru, is a place that once held great natural charm and spiritual value, especially with its ancient temple nestled at the base of the waterfall. The temple, believed to be centuries old, still attracts a few visitors seeking solace and history. Unfortunately, the overall experience at the falls was disappointing and far from what we had expected. The waterfall itself is in a neglected state. The water was muddy and unclean, and there was a shocking amount of trash—especially old, discarded clothes—scattered all around the area. The place lacked any form of maintenance or cleanliness, which really took away from the natural beauty it could have offered. We attempted to climb to the highest point of the waterfall, hoping for a better view, but it turned out to be even more unsafe. The path was slippery and unhygienic, and we spotted several snakes along the way. It felt quite risky and uncomfortable, especially without any safety measures or proper signage in place. Given the current condition of Kalathigiri Falls, I would strongly recommend visiting Hebbe Falls instead. It's a far more scenic, cleaner, and safer destination where you can truly enjoy the beauty of Chikmagaluru without the disappointment. Kalathigiri has potential, but it seriously needs attention and care.

It is a very calm and serene place. You won't hear any other sound except chirping birds and tree leaves rustling. There is a beautiful trail through the jungle and bird enthusiasts can truly enjoy it. One can see star studded night sky too. The owner, Navin, is a kind person and a wonderful cook. He treated us with hot and delicious home made food. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and truly relax into nature, this is the place to be.

The place is calm, nothing (no shops) is available nearby. So visitors need to plan everything while going there, specially if you carry any child or family with you, like Foods, Soaps, Snacks, Battery banks, Drinks, Music System etc. Proper shoes is required if you wish for trecking. Vehicle tyre should have a proper grip on roads, since road is a mud road. Temperature is very cold at nights, so make sure you keep warm clothes.

Overall experience of stay at Shivagiri Trails was splendid. Mr Navin Boppiah leaves no stone un-turned to make our stay, trek, food, service and hospitality a uniquely wonderful.

The place is good with an entry fee of 40/-,however the picture of a woman statue is not there. Apart from that everything is there. The treehouse is good, the fountain is nice. Swings and open gym for children and adults. You can also take a walk in the big stretch of the park or enjoy via toy train that costs 30/- per person. The toy train ride was a good experience.

A normal park - nothing much , just the view from here is good ... Don’t get fooled by the reviews! MG Park doesn’t have the Siri Café or the famous lady statue everyone talks about — it’s completely misleading ! You have to pay ₹40 per person just to enter the park, and another ₹30 per head for the toy train. The train gives you two rounds around the park — mildly fun, but nothing exciting at all. Came mainly to visit Siri Café and see the lady statue, but neither of them exist here. Also, beware of places like Siri Coffee Bar & Khushi Homestay, Chikmagaluru — the reviews are fake. The lady statue and the actual Siri Café are at an entirely different location. If you want to visit park & enjoy some nature's time , then you can come here.

This place is excellent! Pro: Beautiful property, renovated just a few years ago, but it maintains all the old world charm. The two rooms upstairs share a balcony, so it is convenient for people who know each other. Each room upstairs has an en-suite kind of room with an extra twin bed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious Waking up to the beautiful coffee plantation view and animal sounds is wonderful. Game room is convenient for rainy days. Cons: Beyond breakfast, dinner and snacks around 6/6.30 pm, there is no food or drinks available. Come prepared WiFi & phone signal are spotty, so don’t plan to attend any meetings or do work that requires continuous WiFi. Sometimes it is nice to disconnect though! This location comes highly recommended!

As an all-ladies group, we also appreciated how safe and well taken care of we felt throughout our stay. The hospitality was warm, and the local home-style dinner was comforting and delicious. A couple of suggestions – being in Chikmagalur, we expected authentic filter coffee for all guests, but some were served BRU coffee. A kettle in each room would be helpful, especially in cold/rainy weather. Food was good with homely flavors, though breakfast and dinner could have a few more options. though as coffee lovers in Chikmagalur, we’d love to see consistent filter coffee for all guests. Breakfast and dinner were satisfying, and adding a few more options could make the dining experience even better. Overall, Aralaguppe Heritage is a wonderful stay for relaxation and rejuvenation, and we’d be happy to return.

This is a very popular hill station near Chikmagalur that invariably is on the itinerary of every tourist. The drive itself is very scenic and beautiful. The road at places is bad but overall a good experience. Even though we visited this place on a weekday there was a good number of tourists. Light drizzle and a slightly misty top provided a surreal view.

You must experince this route by Bike/Scooty to experience Green plains and Small lakes Views ..So YouCan Stop wherever you want ,get Good Pics. If you come in Car ..no problem, Shared vehiches available at Parking Point. Dont try with Own Car..unless it was 4×4 ..because Abit of Off-road About 1Km and then Good road For 2 kms. Manikya Dhara Waterfalls is Just 20-30 steps near viewpoint. Small food like Corn is available..Be Aware of 🐒🐒

The corn-shaped peak of Baba Budangiri is absolutely scenic and unique, offering stunning panoramic views all around. Personally, I found it more picturesque than Mullayanagiri, with its distinct shape and serene surroundings adding to the charm. A must-visit spot for nature lovers and photographers!

We visited in the October end, it was great. We can go by our own vehicle to the top. Road is also good. It was fully covered by snow and you can feel the clouds passing by. And also there a temple within caves, but phones are not allowed inside. Nice place to visit, if it’s not covered by snow then you can get great view.

I just loved the place everything is perfect about this place there are 3-4 points here one is peak a view point a water falls(jerry falls) and one temple which is worshipped by both the communities i visited in june and for me it's the best time as monsoon just hit the place.

Baba Budangiri Peak: A Mesmerizing Journey to Serene Views Baba Budangiri Peak is truly a captivating destination, and I've been fortunate enough to visit multiple times, even making it a combined trip with Kallathigiri Falls on one occasion. The journey up to the peak itself is absolutely mesmerizing, winding through beautiful landscapes. Be aware that the forest department collects an entrance fee and conducts checks upon entry. Once you get closer, you'll find there are about 3-4 distinct points to explore, including the main peak, a viewpoint, and a waterfall. You can park your vehicle near the stalls and dargah at the top, from where it's roughly a 2km walk to the peak. Alternatively, if you have a bike or a vehicle with good ground clearance, you can actually drive right up to the last point; it's not as difficult as some might claim. Don't be swayed by local vehicles trying to charge a lot by stating the terrain is unmanageable – that's often not true. Once you reach the final parking spot, making the short 10-15 minute climb to the very top of the peak is a must. The view from up there is simply serene, often cloaked in a mesmerizing fog, creating a wonderfully calm atmosphere. As you enter the area, you'll find stalls selling refreshments like Maggi, bread omelet, fruits, and water, though do note that these items are a little pricier than usual. It's a fantastic place to experience nature's grandeur and find some peace.

The food was fantastic. I had jackfruit biryani, neera, muffin and hot chocolate. Everything tasted super good. The Neera drink is too good. A bit more sweet but it is all natural. Service was quick. The atmosphere and overall vibe was very welcoming and comfortable. A must go place, specially if you are vegetarian. Owners are supercool. Loved chatting with them. And the chocolates... They taste even better then a lot of German chocolates.

Coffee was merely Ok category. You can find better coffee in other regular udupi coffee shops in and around Chikmagalur. The cafe itself is smaller inside, but you have outdoor seating arrangement as well. Parking is a problem when crowded as it is a roadside parking. Bikes can be parked but for cars, have to park opposite side of the road and cross the road to reach this place. If you are not a fancy instagrammer, you can skip this place.

They have very good healthy food options. The cutlet is a must-try. The food is made of millets and other healthy substitutes without compromising on the taste. We did try their jackfruit kebab, which was very tasty.

A place for a chaat snack inn! The ambience is very nice and light up with warm lighting giving it a romantic look. This place is just beside the main road. I tried the papdi chat, kp chaat platter, fresh mango lassi, ice lemon tea and bombay cutting chai. The platter was not at all worth it. The papdi chaat was tasty however the quantity was very very less. The ice lemon tea was very average. The mango lassi was the only item which was mouth watering. The place is very expensive and not worth the hype. Also parking is a very big issue as the main road traffic is continuous.

We tried papdi chat, tasty is good and also quantity is more compare to local shops. But price is bit high. Ambience and service is good. It’s not for budget friendly people, it’s for one who want luxury.

The food is average, but the service is quick and excellent. The ambience is far better compared to few of their other branches I have visited. However, the chairs are poorly designed that everyone seems to be bumping their feet against the chair stands. The hand wash area is also quite small and feels clumsy

Every dish felt homely yet exceptionally well made. The service was equally impressive. Mr. Vijay, who attended our table, was extremely polite, attentive, and made sure we felt completely comfortable throughout our meal. His warm hospitality truly enhanced our dining experience. Coffee taste same as CCD, but at lower price. Seating arrangement made inside only for group people of minimum 6 people. Outside seats is good for couples but there is a catch seats is only for one couple. If 2-3 people are going you will be seated but empty seats would be left.
