Mall should be a place where you can enjoy food, fashion, electronics etc, nevertheless this mall seems to forget its function to provide those needs. Many stalls or stores are closed and the mall is super quiet. I hope that they have a plan to improve or upgrade the mall.

Palembang Icon (PI) , middle up mall and complete. You can find branded stuff here from bag, shoes, also dress and high quality restaurant. Spacious parking lot. Place is clean. And there is a playground for children.

It's a good place for jogging. It's a 800m jogging track. But no regulation about the parking fee.

Relaxing place for local people. Nice place to hang out and go round with family and friends. It's good place to excercise, jogging, or just relaxing and fun.. On saturday and monday morning, this park so crowded, more people, more food stall compared to weekdays.. You can join aerobic classes on sunday in the early morning. A lot of garbages are left everywhere in the park and it makes the environment pretty bad.. I wish more people aware of the situation and lets keep the park clean..

It's not bad for a public park.. with an ordinary fish pond.. It's a place where you can gather with families or friends on weekends.. especially on Sunday mornings.. Doing exercise is absolutely usual you can do; such as jogging, dancing, walking.. etc. We can buy affordable things there.. like foods, beverages, clothes, and even accessories.. Public park with no entrance fee, u only need to pay IDR 5.000 for parking. Most of people visiting this place to do jogging with family or friends. The park has a lake in the middle of jogging track. The lengths of the track was 700 m, and suggested take steps counterclockwise. There are many food stall around the park, especially beside the Swarna Dwipa Hotel. U can find Starbuck as well. On Saturday and Monday morning, this park so crowded, more people, more food stall compared to weekdays.

Kambang Iwak Family Parks is The icon of Palembang City Park. This place usually host public aerobic gym every Sunday in which usually door prizes are available on coupons. There are also drinkable water tap, jogging track, foot massage track, and weight-lifting equipment (which some are unusable). Occasionally, blood pressure check is organised by local medical centres for free. There are also food and clothing street market after sport time.

Nothing much to do, a military institution is now occupy the fortress so im not sure if anyone can explore inside the fortress. Outside the fortress there is a small square which is serene enough to walk around, not enough light tho, its kinda dark. But walk further to the promenade in front of the fortress is a night market where bunch of locals hang around at night. Attraction and games for kids are everywhere, making this place full with families. Food vendors are here and there mostly selling same type of food, nasi goreng, mie goreng etc. Walk further you can see an area of the market specialized in tshirt souvenirs. On the promenade there is also several boats that serve as restaurants and another few smaller boats that offer you a ride along the river, they are also able to be rented to sail east to Kemaro Island but i dont know how much it will cost. When you are on the promenade make sure to enjoy the view of the great red Ampera Bridge..

Fort Kuto Besak was a great fort in side of Musi River at Palembang. At this place has a great view of Ampera Bridge, Musi River, and also lot of restaurants and cafe. There is also wide field for any activities such as ceremony, party, concert, and any public activities. The best time to come in at morning and afternoon to night to see beautiful lights and views around the river. Your visiting to Palembang was not complete if you're not coming to Auto Besak Fort and Ampera Bridge.

This LRT station near with Palembang Icon Mall, just walking about 100m from the parking mall area. Get the stairs or lift to go to the station hall. The station is quite clean, well services and cozy to wait the train. Fyi the train ready every 15 minutes.

If I have to resume the Panties Pizza in one word it will be: Minimalist. I didn't say I hate it, but I'll be overrated if given this above 3 stars. I was ordering a Tuna Maya pizza with extra cheese, a French fries, and a lemon tea (there's no size differentiation in here), the pizza was well cooked, though I can't really say what's the difference between the Tuna Maya and the tuna melt pizza from P*zza H*t. It's barely the same, aside of course, the way it served (they wrap the toppings inside the bread, served it in a cone-like shape, well, guess that's the reason on why they named it "panties"). The place is also minimalist in design. Clean, cozy, quite comfortable, they do separate the smoking and non smoking room - some people will do appreciated this. The staffs also friendly. The prices here are relatively lower than the competitor one. Will I come again? Well, to be honest, for the same price i've paid, there are better choices out there.

For the price of food is average but for the drink you'd better buy in hypermart or supermaret before. The place is cozy and the food is worth to taste.. and the waiter and waitress are friendly.

The place is quite big for me, good ornaments in there, but for regular guest there's no AC room. When I visited this place in the night, it feels so dim, maybe it's about the lighting (maybe it's their concept), and it makes the place become not comfy for me, so many disturbing mosquitoes. Food was okay. Some dishes were really good and some were just so so (their pindang was not up to my taste). We tried their chili salt tofu and it was nice since they used Japanese tofu. The quacker prawn and crispy calamari were great too. Some tables have direct view of the Ampera bridge, so make sure to get the best seat!

The food is not tasty, but the environment is comfortable. Here you can clearly see the Ampera bridge and take nice photos. It is recommended arriving here around 5 pm. You can watch the beautiful view of change from day to night.

This place is iconic for its scenic view. The food could be better. It okay only for me. The pictures shown in menu is different than what they serve physically. I’ve asked a local about it. He mentioned the food used to be better and it change when they change the chef. So I think the good review about this place was a past. This resto is serve mostly seafood and pindang, and all the seafoods are fresh. You should try its kepiting with roti, very nice taste and acommpany with Jembatan Ampera view. Better you come dinner when all the light in jembatan ampera looks very beautiful. The resto is quote cozy too and the staffs are friendly. All the foods quite expensive but its worth it with view. You can enjoy your food at ship too.

Having dinner with family and relatives while gazing at the icon of the city of Palembang: Ampera Bridge is certainly an unforgettable experience (especially for residents outside South Sumatra). Visitors out of Palembang "must" visit this Musi riverside restaurant. One of the best spots to be take photograph of the Ampera Bridge and the Ikan Belida Monument in one frame. We ordered a variety of foods such as: - Kakap Saus Thailand - Kepiting Saus Tiram - Buncis Goreng Renyah Cabe Garam - Sop kepiting asparagus - Ayam Kalasan - Pindang Tulang The Kakap Thai Sauce is delicious. Snapper fillets are coated in flour and deep fried topping with a sour & spicy Thai sauce. Pleasant. The Kepiting Saus Tiram - my son's favorite (I didn't even taste it at all), didn't disappoint either. The crab meat is fresh and thick. The price is decent... worth the taste. Buncis Goreng Renyah Cabe Garama, one of our favourites. Crunchy and rich in flavour. The others, in my opinion, are just so-so.

To be honest, the taste is just okay compared to the chain stores like Pempek “Ijo” or Pempek “Kuning”. I tried the Pempek Lenggang Panggang, Pempek Bakar isi, and Lenjer Besar. The one that suited my taste buds the most was the large Lenjer, the rest I found to be not that great. Unlike other pempek shops, they don't provide bottled cuko on the table, so you have to ask for it separately when it runs out. The place is nice and comfortable, though

The shopping mall is comprised of 3 storeys and offers an adequate selection of retails, F&B, a cinema, wax skating ring, trampoline park, and a basement hypermart. Medical supply is nowhere to be found. Visitors are few on weekdays and parking is aplenty. Place was barely maintained. The nearest LRT station connected to its main building is DJKA Station.

OPI Mall is a functional shopping center, but it tends to be very crowded especially on weekend. ​A noticeable issue is the lack of variety. The food options are quite limited, and the stores are also not very diverse.

For the mall in palembang, I will give the 5 stars one. They have lots of resto for foods, and also simple foodcourt in 3rd floor. Trans Mart, Matahari, Pojok Busana for shop till drops in Bumi Sriwijaya. They also have Little Town, the place that u can have good Instagram spot and drink or snacks. I think this is the only one mall in Palembang that have Ice Rink. And the best one, I got my childhood favorite bakery store named New Hollando Bakery (before named as Holland Bakery).

A worthy to money shopping place with variety of recreational options for kids. Ice skating and yummy food are best to try as well.

This place offers a complete sports facilities. It is the host of the Asian Games 2018... The place is located only minutes from Palembang's city centre... It's easily reached by public transport including the LRT of Palembang which connects the complex with the city including the airport. Many sports facilities are available here including medical centre, worshiping, water recreation and housing for athletes...

The biggest place and nice view for public place recreation and playground for big group family or group sport.. This area is completed and the center of sport facilities for ASEAN GAMES 2011 and 2018. Must come and enjoy the all facilities with very cheap ticket only.

It has various sports venue but unfortunately for now is not open for public yet because it is being prepared for upcoming one of the biggest sport events, Asian Games on August 18th, 2018. A must visit place for all. Palembang did a great job preparing this area for first the SE Asian Games and then the Asian Games. A lot of events took place here and Palembang should be proud. WE WATCHED VOLLEYBALL Japan vs North Korea.. omg yes its NORTH KOREA, we can see "fake supporters" from China. the North Korea people paid them lol

the stadium is dirty, the toilet needs better lighting. be prepared to wipe those seats because the dirt will ruin your clothes

Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium, also known as Jakabaring Stadium (Indonesian: Stadion Gelora Sriwijaya; literally "Sriwijaya Sports Arena Stadium"), is a multi-purpose stadiumlocated in Jakabaring Sport City complex in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 23,000 spectators. The construction began in 2001 and finished in 2004 to host the 2004 Indonesia National Games. The stadium was initially named as Jakabaring stadium after the location of the stadium in southern outskirt of Palembang. However, later the stadium was renamed "Gelora Sriwijaya", to honor and celebrate the 7th—13th century Indonesian empire of Srivijaya. The Third Place Playoff of the 2007 AFC Asian Cup was held in this stadium. The football club Sriwijaya is based at the stadium.

This will be a place for Asian Games 2018. I was there last year in 2017 during Asian Youth Day; with the local team and youth from India. We were proud and glad as we gather together as an Asian. =)

This mosque is so hostorical. The main hall (prayer place for men) is still authentic, full with Palembang's ornaments. Very very beautiful mosque. This mosque is not a museum. It is a mosque where the moslem do they prayer. So you need to dress properly.

Airport is cozy tho

Visited Masjid Agung Palembang (the Great Mosque of Palembang) on 16/Mar/2020, when I could not read/speak Indonesian at all.😅 The mosque is the largest mosque in Palembang, with area 15,400 square meter. Before Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I Jayo Wikramo rebuilt this mosque in the 18th century, it was founded by Sultan Ki Gede Ing Suro in the 17th century. It is said that the mosque forms the original Malay and Arab villages for a long time in Palembang. I visited the mosque in early morning, the scene of the mosque at dawn was too impressive to be real. I didn’t enter the mosque because I was not sure whether I would be allowed or not, if there’s any opportunity to revisit Palembang, I will go inside to explore more.

If you are muslim, try to visit this mosque! It is located in downtown where you can hang around after praying here. The mosque facilities are not maintained well. It is quite difficult to find direction or information board. You need to put your slipper or flip-flop in front of the mosque and pay the locket short after your leaving. Quite clean, but still under renovation.

Parking space is Big, many variety store from toys to home improvement. Have good supermarket and some fashion store. Variety of food store. But still many tenant space are unoccupied. Updated on 2023/03/08 Tenant space start to fill by new lease, and now there is Mr. DIY here to complete the Ace Hardware.

Going there was not very hard, there were signs everywhere to go there. The mosque really looks more like pagoda than a mosque. The influence of the Chinese culture is very strong here. Somehow it doesnt attract many tourists here as I didnt see so many people when I went there

As a fan of Indonesia and Malaysia, I have been curious about how Islam was disseminated from the Arab World to the Malay Archipelago. Cheng Hoo (郑和) himself is a Muslim, I heard that in Southeast Asia, some Muslims believe that it is Cheng Hoo who brought Islam here. The pictures were taken in March 2020.

Had dinner here and tried various items from the menu, including nasi minyak and martabak. The curry for martabak wasn't flavorful enough for me, but the nasi minyak was decent. The main highlight, however, is the beverage—masala chai. Have it warm in a cup and enjoy it while watching the dancing fountain from a bench on the street. Parking is available on the street side. Ordering was a bit unclear, as it took some time for them to take my order.

The menu is mandatory for local tourists if go to Palembang is eating martabak har which is rarely found in other cities and is a characteristic of the city of Palembang. for the size of 1 plate martabak har is very filling I like the fragrant curry sauce and seasoning that absorbs when mixed with the egg martabak.

I think this is the best hotel in town. It has really good environment with green forest-like garden around and a swimming pool in the middle. Next to the hotel is a big mall where you can go shopping. I stay several times for office meeting. The foods taste good. Clean and tidy, good maintenance. Will be back another time.

My friends and me spent one night at this hotel in this May after visiting Bukit Asam. The room is very good with pool view. However we spent almost 3 hours waiting for our rooms to get ready even though we did the check in on timely and with prior information to the hotel. The meals are good as we know, the location is walkway to Palembang Trade centre and about 20 minutes to the airport.

This is my second hotel that i’ve tried when i went to Palembang for work. I love how the layout of the hotel with the big swimming pool on the center of the hotel. I got a room with pool view but my room is kinda smell (like cigarette) but it didn’t bothered me at all. Good quality of staff’s services, also their foods. So make a reservation first if you want to try this without taking much time queuing.. The restaurant provide good quality japanese food including sushi, ramen, salad and shomen (cold noodles).. Sushi Tei is not original sushi, the taste had been adjusted for Indonesian's public consumption.. The place is so popular because of its great taste. You maybe pay more expensive than another sushi place but the price worth it.. The Sushi was very good and fresh, but barely available at the sushi circle so you must order from the menu.. My favorite was Crunchy lobster roll, Jumbo dragon roll, yakiniku salad and chuka Iikado..

The place was amazing! Although the outside, parking spot and front yard is kinda plain and not so good, it's so big and beautiful in the inside. The main room was so satisfying, and unique souveniers from Palembang are sold there. Still, the parking spot was rough and full of rocks without asphalt. The museum had a lot of beautiful collection from megalithic era to the time of Srivijayan Empire. The stone carving is just mesmerizing, I love spending time here watching the display, it is really an incredible piece of history. Some stone carvings date as early as 1st century. There are some rooms that fills with collection of i dont know what because i came on Monday and they were closed. They also have 2 traditional wooden houses installed at this museum. One is "rumah limas", which said to belong to one of the descendant of an arabic sultan, you can see how well off they lived with all the beautiful things inside the house. The other one is "rumah ulu" which is a very simple wooden house used by traveler or trader a long time ago as a transit house or some sort of accomodation. Both are very unique and interesting to see. Unfortunately the display were lack of information, the panel on each artifacts tell us a very limited information. It just feels like a brief introduction. It is also such a pity that the museum building is decaying, its old and starting to show the effect of undermaintenance. I wish whoever in charge of this place can start renovating the building soon. The museum is closed on Mondays so be sure to check the day before you visit.

(Original) bisa dibilang ini hidden gem untuk tempat wisata di palembang karena memang lokasinya yang cukup sulit dijangkau (harus jalan kaki dan menyusuri rumah-rumah panggung pinggir sungai musi). karena lokasinya itu, tempat ini hanya dikenal di antara komunitas lokal dan agak jarang tamu luar daerah yang mengetahui dan datang ke sini. tempat ini sebenarnya rumah warga peranakan yg masih cukup terjaga keasliannya dan tidak betul2 merupakan tempat wisata yg dibangun/direnovasi secara khusus, jadi saat datang kesini seperti seolah2 sedang berkunjung ke rumah kerabat dan kami saat itu disambut dengan sangat hangat oleh ibu penghuni rumah walaupun di saat bersamaan rumah digunakan komunitas lain untuk kegiatannya (sepertinya untuk arisan ibu2). saat datang, ibu penghuni rumah menceritakan sedikit tentang bangunan dan keluarga yg konon datang ke palembang di abad ke 18. cukup unik, sayang sepertinya kurang diberdayakan dan dipromosikan oleh pemda setempat. untuk tiket masuk sebenarnya tidak ada, namun pada umumnya pengunjung berdonasi Rp10.000 per orang di kotak yg disediakan di sebelah buku tamu.

The legendary bakmi restaurant. Not because of the noodle, but because of the service. They never smile, don’t care about you, a bit chaotic, and you need to wait a long time for your noodle. But that was the charm, the experience that mie terang bulan offered to you. Noodle was pretty good though. And the pangsit goreng was good too.

The legend of Palembang noodle started here, you’re not considered as in Palembang if you haven’t try this noodle house! They only have 3 most popular meals in the menu: the wonton noodle, the stir fried noodle and the fried wonton. Those 3 are the best meal ever! They offer more options to order these days, you can order through IG @mieterangbulanpalembang or you can call or come directly to order. Whichever most convenient for you, as long as the noodles are served!

This place is old and it’s a colonial heritage place. But it’s interiors are grand and great! Foods are okay and inside is pretty good, perfect for holding events like concerts, seminars, weddings. The parking lot is quite wide, though.
