Mengwi in 2 days

If you only have 2 days to spend in Mengwi, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Mengwi is best known for Pura Taman Ayun, a 17th-century royal water temple surrounded by moats and lush gardens, and part of Bali’s UNESCO-recognized subak rice terrace landscape. The area offers a quieter, more rural atmosphere than the island’s main resort zones, with nearby rice fields and village life still prominent. Visitors can combine temple visits with stops at local markets or traditional compounds, and use Mengwi as a convenient base between cultural hubs like Ubud and the beaches of South Bali.
With favorites like Sate Babi Tut Narutto, Hippie Fish Pererenan Beach, and Taman Ayun Temple, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Hippie Fish Pererenan Beach and Ruko Cafe so you can get the best taste of Mengwi while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Tanah Lot is a traditional Balinese temple situated on a small rocky island, offering stunning views of the water. It is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful location on the coast, surrounded by rocks and cliffs. The temple, which holds great significance for Hindu worshippers, provides breathtaking vistas of the sea. Tanah Lot is renowned as one of the best spots to witness mesmerizing sunsets in Bali.
It's a beautiful place. The atmosphere here is truly captivating. The grounds are large and well-maintained, with many interesting spots where you can capture a moment for a beautiful souvenir. If the weather is nice and there aren't many tourists, you can relax and soak up the atmosphere. The ticket price is undoubtedly good for this place. The best way to get here is by scooter. I also met guides who shared stories and guided tourists around.

Actually It’s a park which is a must place to visit and picnic while in Bali. Watch the high tides striking the cliffs and a beautiful sunset. An exquisite park to roam around and relax with some fine dining options. The temple is at some distance with no direct access and you don’t need to visit it

Tanah Lot Temple, Bali – A Majestic Sea Temple on the Rocks Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali’s most iconic landmarks, renowned for its stunning offshore setting and mesmerizing sunset views. Perched on a rocky outcrop surrounded by the sea, the temple appears to float during high tide, creating a truly magical sight. Located in Tabanan Regency, around 20 km from Denpasar, Tanah Lot is a must-visit destination for travelers seeking a mix of spirituality, culture, and natural beauty. The name Tanah Lot means “Land in the Sea” in Balinese, perfectly describing its dramatic position. The temple is dedicated to the sea gods and plays an important role in Balinese mythology. Legend says that it was established by the 16th-century priest Dang Hyang Nirartha, who built it after being inspired by the beauty of the coastline. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking ocean views, especially during sunset when the sky glows in shades of orange and gold, creating one of Bali’s most photographed moments. During low tide, tourists can walk across to the base of the temple, explore small caves with sea snakes believed to be sacred protectors, and witness local rituals performed by Balinese priests. The area around Tanah Lot features beautifully landscaped gardens, souvenir markets, and several cliffside restaurants offering panoramic views. It is also a popular spot for cultural performances and traditional dance shows held in the evenings. Tanah Lot is open daily, with the best time to visit being late afternoon to witness the sunset spectacle. Visitors are encouraged to dress modestly as it remains an active place of worship. In short: Tanah Lot Temple is not just a tourist attraction — it’s a symbol of Bali’s spiritual harmony, where nature and faith blend into an unforgettable experience.

Great place for a long walk, which is not common in Bali! Perfert to see the sunset. Lots and lots of shops with local artisan beautiful things. At sunset you can walk to the temple and get blessed. Then tgete are a few restaurants with local food and amazing view. Don't missed out.
Paola M — Google review
Another most visited place in Bali. The temple is beautiful. The location is even better. Though bit far from Kuta; the visitors is worthwhile. Now it is entirely on the tide timings whether you can reach the main temple or not. If you happen to be there during low tide then just walk across the the flat rocks and you can reach the main temple stairs. Though there is nothing much to see there. The entire temple compound is beautifully landscaped. You may walk around to see the other photogenic spots. There are many stores and shops selling snacks and souvenirs. You may visit them while returning back. The main issue is transportation. If you are on a scooter then no worries. But if you are taking a Grab or Gojek cab from Kuta then it will be wise to ask the driver to wait for you there and come back in the same car. Local taxis might charge a lot if taken from the temple area.

Tanah lot temple is located in the sea side, one of the famous sea temples in Bali. Tanah Lot translates to "Land in the sea". The temple is built on a rock formation off the cost making it appear to float on the sea during high tide. It is famous for the stunning sunset views. Plan your trip to make sure that you will be able to witness the sunset from there. At the base of the temple, there is holy water which is guarded by snakes. We can enter here and seek blessings as well. There is lot of shops available for shopping near the entry and exit gates. Also, the famous traditional Balinese gate is there for photo shoots. Worth visiting 👍
Sreejith S — Google review
Pura Tanah Lot is a Hindu temple located on the southwest coast of Bali. It sits on an offshore rock formation and it’s therefore reachable only when there’s low tide: part of the rock is artificial because it replaced the original damaged one during restoration works in the 80s. The temple itself is not accessible, so the only two attractions there are the blessing with the holy water in the cave below the temple and the water snake in the cave on the opposite side: both require a money offer and to be honest they are not worth it.
Francesco X — Google review
Tanah Lot Temple Indonesia Bali is pure magic, a sacred jewel perched on a rock in the heart of the ocean. At sunset, the sky paints it in gold, creating a breathtaking silhouette against fiery hues. Waves crash rhythmically below, as if the sea itself is chanting prayers. Intricate stone carvings on black volcanic rock tell ancient stories of devotion and beauty. The gentle chime of temple bells blends with the salty ocean breeze, soothing the soul. Walking across the beach at low tide feels like stepping into a divine painting. The sacred sea snake in the cave adds a touch of mystery and reverence. Clifftop views offer postcard-perfect panoramas that steal your breath away. Every corner radiates peace, spirituality, and timeless Balinese charm. Sunset crowds gather in awe, yet the atmosphere remains serene and sacred. Frangipani flowers and incense fill the air with sweet, holy fragrance. The multi-tiered meru towers stand proud, guardians of the coast. Watching the sun dip into the sea behind the temple is a memory for a lifetime. Even the journey through lush rice fields to reach it feels enchanting. Tanah Lot isn’t just a temple—it’s a love letter from nature to the divine. The reflection in tidal pools at golden hour is pure photographic poetry. Spiritual energy flows strong; you leave calmer, lighter, and deeply touched. No filter needed—the beauty here is raw, real, and soul-stirring. A must-visit masterpiece where earth, sea, and sky unite in harmony. Tanah Lot Temple: where beauty meets eternity, and your heart finds peace.

Public beach
Pererenan Beach is a popular destination for horse riding, offering a serene experience surrounded by the ocean and green rice fields. The 700-meter-long beach features horse stables along the coastline and provides classes for beginners to navigate the terrain. It's known as one of the best places in Canggu to view sunsets, with plenty of seating options and small food stalls available.
A lovely beach, which isn’t too touristy which can be nice sometimes. It’s a black sand beach, where you can hire sunbeds and fresh cold coconuts for cheap. We had a lovely time here, would reccommend to anyone!
Lauren F — Google review
While it may not have white sands, it does have paved walking paths on one side and epic Sunset views on the other. Great place to watch the surfers and have coffee in the morning too.
Aaron T — Google review
You could say it's an Instagrammable place, but I think everyone comes here for the spectacle taking place in the sky. The untamed Indian Ocean, Balinese kites, and the setting sun will surely stay in your memory. All this is waiting for you.
Opinion M — Google review
This place was quite lovely. Was able to watch surfers, grab a bite to eat, catch the sunset and watch the tide rise in the evening. Lots of restaurants and surfing options. It was very peaceful and the dogs were having a blast running around in the send. I Highly recommend.
Briana D — Google review
Great beach, more for the views and scenery, you can sunbath of the beach if you go after high tide, otherwise the waves are too strong and high. If you walk further along the beach you have plenty more space to relax
Tom F — Google review
Pererenan Beach is a quiet, laid-back coastal spot just north of Canggu in Bali. Known for its striking black volcanic sand, beautiful sunsets, and consistent surf, it’s a favorite among surfers, locals, and travelers looking for a more peaceful alternative to the busier beaches nearby. There are no big beach clubs here—just small warungs, chilled beach bars, and a growing number of stylish cafés and restaurants nearby. While the area is developing, it still maintains a local, authentic vibe with rice fields and village life just behind the coastline. Perfect for those who enjoy: 🌊 Surfing • 🏖️ Fewer crowds • 🌅 Sunset views • ☕ Cozy cafés • 📸 Calm, photogenic surroundings
Einar D — Google review
Pererenan beach has such a chill vibe. You’ll see surfers catching waves, locals walking their dogs ane the sunset here is absolutely stunning

Nice to go for a walk, but dark sand and lots of structures in the water, would not recommend swimming unless you’re a very strong swimmer. Beautiful walk!

Restaurant
Located on the lively Berawa Beach, FINNS Beach Club is a vibrant beachfront hangout offering an array of experiences. With four pools, three restaurants, nine bars, and seven kitchens, it's a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Guests can enjoy sun-soaking on daybeds, savor international cuisine with friends, and sip signature cocktails at swim-up bars while DJs provide entertainment throughout the day and into the night.
Came to Finn’s on our honeymoon with some friends tagging along later in the trip. We have been so impressed with the professionalism of the Finns team, the quality of food and cocktails and the overall entertainment. We ordered a bottle of Belvedere and had the girls come over with sparklers for a gorgeous little delivery. Service is fast, the team are super helpful and accomodating and check in frequently to make sure you aren’t waiting too long between service. 10/10 experience! Well worth the booking. Seed was standout AMAZING. He came to our poolside table and asked if we wanted to see a card trick. Skepitcal, but curious our group agreed. Seed bamboozled us 4 times in a row with his card tricks adding fun and laughter to our already fabulous day. Thanks Seed! Still don’t know know how he did it but the fun is in the mystery.

Our time at The Finns Club was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, we were surrounded by an atmosphere of luxury, relaxation, and vibrant energy. The beachfront setting is absolutely stunning - the perfect mix of sophistication and tropical charm. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, enjoying the beats from world-class DJs, or sipping a perfectly crafted cocktail at sunset, every moment feels special. What truly elevated our experience, though, was the incredible catering from MILA. Their culinary team went above and beyond - delivering a flawless dining experience that was as visually beautiful as it was delicious. Each dish was prepared with precision, bursting with fresh, balanced flavours that perfectly complemented the ocean breeze and laid-back vibe of Finns. It wasn’t just food; it was a culinary performance. If you’re in Bali and looking for the ultimate mix of elegance, excitement, and indulgence - The Finns Club is the place to be. And if you ever get the chance to experience catering from MILA, don’t hesitate — it will absolutely transform your day into something unforgettable.

I had such a wonderful time at Finns Beach Club! The atmosphere was perfect — relaxing, lively, and beautifully designed with incredible ocean views. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The pools were clean and enjoyable, and the music set such a good vibe throughout the day. The food and drinks were also delicious and served quickly. I loved how everything was organized and comfortable, even when it was busy. Overall, it was one of the best beach club experiences I’ve had in Bali. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to relax, have fun, and enjoy a great beachside environment. I will definitely be coming back! 💙🌴

I ordered a lounge in the VIP area for myself and three friends and we had an absolutely amazing time. The service was fabulous and thank you to Sudana who was looking after us, he was spectacular. We arrived early (before lunch) in case it rained in the afternoon and in the end it didn’t rain until the evening so we were lucky. The VIP package was absolutely worth it, the area was beautiful and we were treated like VIPs the whole way through. The whole experience was the best part of our trip in Bali so far, thank you so much to the team at Finn’s Beach Club.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Absolutely Epic – Finns Beach Club is Bali's Ultimate Paradise!** From the moment we stepped onto the sun-drenched sands of Finns Beach Club in Canggu, we knew we were in for something special. This place isn't just a beach club – it's a full-blown tropical dream! The vibe is electric yet effortlessly chill, with infinity pools overlooking the crashing waves, plush daybeds that make you feel like royalty, and those iconic bamboo structures that scream Bali luxury. We snagged a prime spot by the ocean, sipped on the freshest cocktails (try the Finns Signature Margarita – it's a game-changer), and devoured the most mouthwatering wood-fired pizzas and fresh seafood platters. **Our service lady Saci was absolutely amazing – attentive, super friendly, and always one step ahead with a genuine smile that made the whole experience even better! Huge shoutout to Saci for making our day unforgettable!** As the sun dipped low, the DJ spun seamless beats that transitioned into an unforgettable sunset party. Live sax, fire dancers, and the crowd's energy? Pure magic. Whether you're with friends, family, or flying solo, Finns caters to everyone – safe, clean, and packed with activities like volleyball or just lounging in style. Pro tip: Book a VIP bed in advance, especially on weekends. Worth every penny for the views and service. We've been to beach clubs worldwide, but Finns Beach Club tops them all. Can't wait to return – Bali's best kept secret? Hardly, but it feels like it! 🌴🍹🏖️ #FinnsBeachClub #BaliVibes #5StarsAllDay Posted by @tomhale29461547 from SG

I just love this place so much. The food is absolutely amazing. The vibe is great. Sunset was one of the most beautiful view I've ever seen. We book a table for 10 people and have to spend at least IDR 10.000.000 here. Don't think about the price because it's worth every penny you spent. This is one of the best beach club with declious food.

Widiana was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, he provided exceptional service with such a warm and welcoming attitude. He checked on us often without being overbearing, made great recommendations, and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our day. His attentiveness, professionalism, and kindness truly elevated our experience at Finns Beach Club. Thank you, Widiana, for making our visit unforgettable your service was top-tier and genuinely appreciated! I highly recommend asking for her if you’re visiting Gunn Beach Club or Finns.

Wahyu made our day. He was incredibly organised and quick to help us move for the brief period of rain. He helped make the rainy spell easy, fun even, when it could have been chaotic. The rest of the day/night was well choreographed with multiple moments of surprise and delight - sparklers, drummers and pop up dancers. So cool! Chiang was awesome for the magic fun. Sumadi and Bima were lovely with our day bed booking

A Perfect Beachside Dining Experience in Bali 🌊🍴 This restaurant truly exceeded my expectations! The view of the ocean is absolutely breathtaking — the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal. We started with refreshing tropical drinks and crunchy seafood bites that were packed with flavor. The main course was a beautifully cooked fish fillet, tender and rich, paired with a flavorful tomato sauce and fresh greens. And the dessert? Pure bliss! The rich chocolate cake with velvety ice cream and whipped cream was the perfect sweet ending. Everything was delicious, and the ambiance made the whole experience feel so relaxing and special. If you're in Bali and love good food with a view — this place is a must-visit!

Great beaches view having lunch at Hippies Fish Pererenan. Seating at the second floor enjoyed lunch set with fresh fruit mocktail pairing the fried baramundi and spaghetti vongole… very nice! Will come again in dinner time to see the sun set…

Hippie Fish's Grilled Snapper is an absolute must-try! The fish was incredibly fresh, with a delicate flavor and flaky texture that simply melted in my mouth. The grilling was perfection, with a nice char on the outside that added a smoky depth to the dish. The seasoning was subtle yet effective, allowing the natural flavors of the snapper to shine through. What truly impressed me was the quality of the ingredients and the care with which the dish was prepared. You can tell that the team at Hippie Fish are passionate about serving only the freshest, sustainable seafood. Service was also top-notch, with friendly staff and a relaxed, beachy vibe that made for a perfect dining experience. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food.

We had an espresso martini and another cocktail. Atmosphere was great but we had a couple of mozzie bites even though we were sat right out near the sea? Beautiful place to stargaze, ordered a seafood platter — loved the truffle garlic butter dip but the breaded mussels are nothing to rave about. Still a really good place to chill!

Excellent restaurant with a well drilled service team, from greeting by the maitre d to the service and waiting staff. We were there for our anniversary dinner and they went out of their way to ensure of such an occasion by receiving an anniversary cake on the house. Overall First class for hippie fish. The only slight issue I experienced was this growing trend of people watching clips on their phones out loud without headphones in fine dining restaurants, thus ruining the dinner experience for others. The waiters or managers should address this as the restaurant is in a romantic setting and is set up for fine dining, not a cafe or fast food eatery. Also, the minimum charge doesn’t deter those booking tables and ordering only 2 drinks and a bowl of chips to make up the minimum 500k IDR and occupying a table for 2 hours. This denies the opportunity for those genuine diners who are happy to pay well beyond the minimum charge for that truly magical dinner evening that would otherwise be almost impossible to book a table for during prime evening dinner time slots.

We live near by and this is our favourite cafe for breakfast… tried multiple dishes, all are amazing and my partner’s favourite breakfast tacos pool is to the place almost daily. Coffee is fantastic as well, staff knows us, greet us and start our coffee preferences right away. Amazing experience and energy every time❣️❣️❣️

Never expected this cafe turn out to be our favorite one during our stay in Bali! Its quality of food is the best , way better than those so called “famous” cafes, and it’s reasonably priced. All the sandwiches are so delicious, and please please get their French toast! The space is a little bit small though, but totally worth it for the food

Best food we have had so far in Bali. Beautiful art on our cappuccinos and really cool local art decorating the restaurant. It’s become our go-to breakfast spot while staying in Berawa! The food and drinks are great, and service is solid too. The only downside is the space.. it’s quite small, so finding a table can be tricky, and it’s super close to the road, so if you sit outside, you might get a bit of pollution. Overall, still a fair and reliable choice for us!

Kilo Kitchen Bali in Seminyak is a high-end dining venue that offers a unique blend of Asian and Western cuisine along with creative cocktails. Situated on the beautiful beaches of Bali, this establishment opened its doors in 2014 and has since been serving up Kilo's specialties made with local ingredients. The restaurant boasts modern architecture that provides a serene escape from the bustling surroundings of Bali.
Review for Restaurant Kilo - Bali Kilo served the most flavorful and beautifully presented food we had during our entire three-week trip in Indonesia. The atmosphere is amazing, perfectly matching the creativity and quality of the dishes. Service is warm and attentive, and the wine selection is excellent. We made a last-minute reservation for our group of 15, but that was no problem for them. We sat at a beautiful stone-like/marble table. A truly memorable dining experience - highly recommended!

everything we had for dinner was perfect. the steak tartar was so refreshing, fish tacos were crispy and fulfilling, the squid ink rice was really bombb, crispy squid were easy to chew, the garlic aioli makes the rice creamier and packed with flavor. and the date & walnut cake was so good it was not as sweet as we thought it would be, we need more ice cream though :) thanks kilo! 🤍

We had a lovely experience at Kilo Kitchen Bali. The service was excellent — the staff spoke fluent English and took the time to explain the menu in detail, which made ordering very easy. We tried the BBQ Pork Sandwich, Squid Ink Rice, and BBQ Pork Ribs. All were flavorful and well-prepared. The only downside was the sandwich bread, which was overly crunchy and difficult to eat, so we ended up just enjoying the pork filling on its own. Overall, the atmosphere and service were wonderful, and most of the dishes were enjoyable. With just a small adjustment to the sandwich, it would have been perfect.

The food, service, and ambiance were all just perfect! Advance reservation is recommended if you plan to come during lunch or dinner peak hours, but you can walk in during non busy times. + I ordered the Duck Tacos and Miso Honey Salmon Rice. The duck tacos weren’t fishy at all. The duck was tender, paired with crispy chicken skin literally perfect texture in your mouth and tasted so good! The chipotle, lettuce, and avocado made a great combination. The salmon rice was savory with a touch of sweetness, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. It was the perfect lunch for me! - The only downside is the limited parking area for scooters, but they do provide valet parking for cars. Definitely will come back again ✨

We were fortunate enough to enjoy breakfast at Kilo every morning as we were staying at Uma Sapna Villas. We also ordered lunch on several occasions too. The food is amazing. We couldn't fault the flavour, freshness or presentation. Big callout to the team working there, brilliant service.

Walked in for dinner tonight and the food is exceptional. Arguably one of the better places for date night and every dish hits the spot. Service rendered is also very careful and superb!! Rlly enjoyed my dinner.

one of the must try restaurants in Bali! Kilo offers a wide variety of fusion food, a mix of asian and western flavours. The atmosphere here is great for dinner dates or group hangouts Dishes that stood out for me were the Tuna Tartare, Squid Ink Rice and Crispy Soft Shell crab!

If you're wandering through Canggu and find yourself craving some delicious Mexican fare, look no further than SizzleWraps. This vibrant eatery began its journey outside of Canggu near Pererenan but quickly gained popularity, prompting a move to the bustling heart of the area. Known for their affordable burritos and tacos, SizzleWraps prides itself on serving fresh food made right before your eyes.
I greatly enjoyed the meal I had here. I tried the Crunchwrap, reminding me of what I used to get at American Taco Bell before it went downhill. This is much, much better and served with high quality meat and fresh guacamole. One of my favorite restaurants in Canggu, the owner is a friendly guy too.
Alex C — Google review
Really tasty and really fresh. It is a small restaurant on the side of the road with 2 tables that fit 8 people. We dined in and there was at the time only one lady working but she prepared the meal so effectively and it was delicious. With street vendor feels, I would say this place serves good Mexican-inspired dishes. We had the burrito (really filling!!!) And the queasadillas (real cheesy), both with beef. It is not purely Mexican but with a fusion of (I would say) a little Asian, but it was great none the less.

absolutely loved my visit to Sizzle Wrap in Bali! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared — every bite was packed with taste. The wraps are generously filled, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The staff was super friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What stood out to me was not just the amazing food, but also the vibe of the place — relaxed, clean, and very inviting. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a casual dinner with friends. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Bali and looking for something delicious, fresh, and satisfying. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Loved the experience at SizzleWraps! I try Quesadilla its so so good and delicious 😍🤤The wraps are made fresh in front of you, and the flavor is on point—crispy veggies, tender meat, and just the right amount of cheese. Great spot if you’re around Canggu/Munggu!

Incredible burritos & wraps/ tacos. Just wow! 👏 Came here for lunch and then again for dinner. Extremely tasty Mexican food the owners are very friendly, he makes everything from scratch, the tortillas, the sauces - which other restaurants purchase from him because it’s sooo good! They are moving to Canggu and no doubt will do amazing in that busy location. Thanks again guys 🧡

Double Six Beach is a popular destination for travelers seeking a relaxed atmosphere and vibrant entertainment. The beach offers umbrella rentals, live music, and a laid-back ambiance that appeals to families, couples, and young visitors alike. Renowned for its world-famous sunsets and excellent surf conditions, the beach also features charming bars such as La Plancha.
Double Six Beach is easily one of the most stunning beaches in Bali, conveniently located near many upscale hotels and restaurants. The sand is super soft, the waves are gentle and shy, the beachgoer crowd is elegant, and the sky displays a beautiful shade of blue stretching across a vast horizon.

Very nice long beach with plenty seating areas and space. Plenty of cabanas and mini shops around for coconut water and for food. The beach looks cleans and nice.
Dhishan P — Google review
Nice big beach with lots going on. Most seats are 100k but if you look you can order a drink/food and get a seat for free. The sand is a good restaurant on the beach here for that. Surfboards and toys for rent, vendors selling stuff and free Wi-Fi at most places. I parked on the street and paid 2k instead of parking at a lot for 5k. Sat back with my headphones and coconut enjoying my chill time. Highly recommended

A very suitable place for a family vacation with a different beach atmosphere, while enjoying the warmth of the sunset, Double Six Beach is also an exotic beach that is no less popular than other beaches that were previously famous, such as Kuta Beach, Sanur Beach, and so on. The view of the bean bags on the white sand makes this beach seem different. Tourists can sit on it while enjoying the beauty of the sunset. In addition to being famous for its beautiful sunset, Double Six Beach also has many interesting activities. One of them is a massage while sunbathing on the beach. This massage service is usually a native Balinese where they usually also teach Balinese while massaging. Not only that, other activities that can also be done there, such as volleyball, surfing, to culinary. There are many delicious and comfortable places to eat that can be found at Double Six Beach. This beach operates every day for 24 hours. That way, tourists can stop by there whenever they want. The location is at Double Six Beach, Legian, Jalan Double Six, Seminyak, Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali. The distance from Ngurah Rai Airport is about 7.8 km or about 25 minutes drive. Tourists can go through Jalan Dewi Sartika Towards Jalan Kubu Anyar. After that, enter Jalan Patih Jelantik towards Jalan Pantai Legian.

Lovely white sand at this beaches. I went in the morning so it was a very peaceful environment vibe and slightly windy. There are many dogs with their walkers around but they are not intrusive at all. There are many small kiosk sellers along here streets leading up to the beach. It was a good stroll.

the beach was super clean, the view is epic, the sunset was amazing!
Vanessa W — Google review
A favorite stretch of beach to walk in the morning. It has wide sandy beach, pathway for those who don't or unable to walk on sand, and plenty of rubbish bins (it's important, there are many beaches in Bali without them). Normally clean, it can have a lot of rubbish during high wind season, such as now in December. The amount of rubbish from the sea is unthinkable, but there are good effort to clean it up. Rubbish season usually starts around December and ends in February/March depends on the weather. There are stretch of restaurant that opens quite late for breakfast (8 and above), but they all come to life at night. I used to enjoy the live music if I come at night, but the last time I tried, they are too noisy because each restaurant overlaps the other. If you can get one that is far enough from others, it's a nic ambience to sit and relax at those bean bags, because the music is usually good. My favorite is still in the morning though when there are less people, less noise, more dogs. If you come after the rain, you can have the whole beach for yourself. There are parking on the street side, not too many lots but you can parallel park on other stretch of road as well. There is no problem finding parking in the morning, but at night it could be challenging, although I never had problem, always found one, but then again, I don't come at night during peak season. P.S Almost puke when I watch my videos. Note to self: slow down when you take one!

I enjoyed visiting the mall the locals go to. I went to the Beachwalk Mall but it was very expensive... you can tell it was the tourist mall. I purchased some clothing and ate at Level 21 Mall and it didn't break the bank!

Not a very big mall like Beachwalk, Icon Bali or Living World but it is still a decent one where one can get food, have a coffee, catch a movie or get some retail therapy here.

I went a couple of days ago, and it was my first time going there. And I'm very impressed by how clean it was, i went to eat there and went to one of the Japanese restaurant, i forgot what's it called but i think it was on the second floor, it was really good. Then i went to the Timezone and it's great, it helps me to lifted up my spirits and distracted me from my stressful mind, then i took photos using the photo booth that was located on the East wing of the mall. So my experience are amazing there. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beaches
Seseh Beach is a serene and picturesque black-sand haven located on the outskirts of Canggu, Bali. Unlike many other beaches in the area that have succumbed to commercial development, Seseh retains its tranquil charm with only one local eatery, Warung Pantai, offering cozy bean bags and sun loungers for relaxation. While swimming or surfing may not be ideal due to strong waves and rip currents, visitors can enjoy exploring small rock pools during low tide.
Love this beach. There are usually not many people here. There are two cafes nearby, also there is a toilet and a shower to wash your feet from the sand.

Filipino Review 🇵🇭🏝️🌊 Seseh Beach – A Quiet Escape from the Crowds Seseh Beach is a peaceful and less touristy black sand beach near Canggu. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a quiet escape away from the busy beaches like Batu Bolong or Seminyak. The waves are strong 🌊, making it more suitable for experienced surfers 🏄 rather than swimming. The sunsets here are beautiful 🌅, and the atmosphere is very relaxing, perfect for just sitting back and enjoying the ocean breeze. However, there aren’t many facilities or beach clubs nearby, so it’s best for those who prefer a more natural and serene beach experience. If you’re looking for a chill spot to take a walk, watch the waves, or enjoy a peaceful moment by the sea, Seseh Beach is worth a visit!
Janu P — Google review
More of a tumultuous and waves crashing against rocks type of beach - a concrete area to sit and simply watch and wraps around to the other beach and on the other end more of a grassy area to overlook the ocean. Quite mesmerizing. People here and there but open and spacious; no crowds
Sarah H — Google review
A great place to enjoy Bali sunset. The crowd is not that many. Best part: lots of dogs to interact with. Just bring your picnic equipment, some snacks, sit down on the sand, and enjoy the waves.
Sandy S — Google review
Beautiful place to visit and enjoy the sunset. Not far from canggu and not busy at all. A lot of space to walk and a few places to chill.
Daniel C — Google review
Seseh Beach is my go-to escape—especially that lovely grassy area overlooking the ocean. It’s just me, the breeze, and the gentle hiss of the sea—no beach clubs, no chaos. There’s a little restaurant tucked nearby, just enough to grab a snack or drink without ruining the peaceful vibe. It strikes the perfect balance between convenience and calm. If you’re after a serene spot to unwind and soak up salty air (with a refreshment close at hand), this is it.

Taman Ayun Temple, also known as Mengwi Temple, is a stunning Hindu temple and garden complex located in the village of Mengwi, Bali. Surrounded by canals, this picturesque site features shrines, pavilions, and ponds. Its strategic location makes it easily accessible from other popular tourist destinations in Bali. Built in 1634 by the King of Mengwi and later restored and enlarged in 1937, the temple's pool creates a floating impression around the complex.
The Sanctity of a sacred place can be preserved in so many ways - is what this temple showcases. The serenity, beauty and the space it owns as a mini forest gives you enough room to walk around… sit in silence…. Hear the sounds of forest music- “Silence” with the flutes of birds singing every now and then… 😊 The raw stone temples…. Surrounded by Lotus pond and the walkjng area around it with the forest around makes one nostalgic about the era itself…. Must watch ….. and people who love taking pictures…. SHOULD’nt Miss at any cost…

Very beautiful and well-maintained temple which is also part of the World Heritage UNESCO sites. The temple garden is very beautifully crafted, and entry to the main sanctum is not allowed for foreigners in every temple. You can visit the temple and witness the beautiful Balinese architecture. The temple was quiet and less crowded than other tourist places and temples in Bali. The entry ticket to this temple is 30k IDR.

Wow! Such a beautiful temple area. Entrance fee for foreigners is totally fine and definitely worth it. They also provide a Sarong for free. I took probably too many pictures but it’s a real gem. Well maintained site of historical significance. You cannot go into the temple itself but a visitor path around the perimeter gives you a good view of the site. A viewing platform half way through the path offers good photo vantage point.

Perched on a hill overlooking the Campuhan valley, The Blanco Renaissance Museum was once the residence and studio of the vibrant artist Antonio Blanco. Known for his fascination with the female form, Blanco's collection features fantasy portraits of women in watercolors, collages, and erotic sketches. While not extensive, the museum showcases family portraits in an adjoining studio. Visitors are greeted by lithographic artworks of nude Balinese women displayed in a spacious marble hall.
The parrots were so so so adorable! I’ve never been this close to little parrots before—they even bowed their heads asking for pets! Oh my god, awww! And the staff helped me take photos with them, letting the parrots perch on my shoulder and stuff—just too cute!! The entry ticket was around $10 AUD per person, which is totally worth it. It was very quiet inside with hardly any people, but the place had so much character. Even though there’s no air conditioning, walking around or sitting in the garden was actually quite pleasant. Highly recommend this place, though the parrots were more beautiful than the paintings—much more captivating. Lol

This museum houses the paintings of Antonio Blanco a Spaniard who was born in the Philippines then moved to Bali and settled here. It’s a beautiful quiet place. The parrots were my favourite part I got to hold them and take photos they are lovely and have such a calming energy. There were very few people and my mom and I enjoyed strolling around together. We enjoyed the quiet garden with the fountain and fishes 🐟 also the beautiful friendly parrots 🦜 there’s a plant based restaurant next door as well with some nice gelato and great service and views! I would totally recommend this place and the gelato next door to cool down after a long day of walking

An absolute gem in Ubud and a must-visit for anyone interested in art, history, and Balinese culture. 🎨✨ The Blanco Renaissance Museum was once the home and studio of the famous Spanish-Filipino artist Don Antonio Blanco, often called “the Dali of Bali.” He settled here in the 1950s after falling in love with a Balinese dancer — and with Bali itself. The museum beautifully preserves his legacy, displaying his passionate and sometimes whimsical artworks, mostly celebrating women, nature, and the spirit of life. The museum building itself is stunning, perched on a hill overlooking lush green valleys, and designed in a mix of Balinese and Spanish architectural styles. Every corner feels alive with creativity — from the grand entrance gates to the spiral staircase and private studio. You can even see Blanco’s old workspace just as he left it, filled with brushes, paints, and personal memorabilia. The gardens are peaceful and full of charm, with colorful flowers, sculptures, and even a few peacocks wandering freely — they really add to the fairytale atmosphere! 🦚 There’s also a small café where you can relax, enjoy a drink, and take in the views after your visit. If you love art, history, or just discovering the soul of Bali through its artists, you’ll definitely appreciate this place. It’s both inspiring and serene — a glimpse into the life of a man who truly embodied creativity. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ubud! 🌺

Put this on your list of Top 100 things to do in Ubud. In other words there are 99 better things to do in Ubud than set foot in this badly-lit, dusty, self-Indulgent museum to a mediocre artist. The building and its grounds are impressive but that’s where it ends. Save your 100 IDR entrance fee and use it instead for a couple of patisserie at one of Ubuds best restaurants right next door at Plant Bistro. Here’s a picture of one of the displays at the museum to give you a taste of what you’re missing!
David C — Google review
An interesting walk around Blanco's house and studio. There is a lovely outside area with, surprisingly, a few macaws and parrots on perches. Also a some mynah birds in a cage, which seemed a bit sad. The main ballroom building was very impressive. Tourist tickets cost Rp 100,000 which seemed a bit steep. If ticket price were halved, that would perhaps be most appropriate.
S T — Google review
The museum was wonderful and the staff were very friendly. They even helped me take photos. However, during my visit I kept hearing a white parrot crying very loudly in a way that sounded distressed. When I walked closer, the parrot suddenly looked cheerful and seemed eager to interact with people, which made me feel it might be a bit anxious. I hope the parrots here can receive proper care and attention.🙏

I came expecting a nice relaxing art viewing but I was disappointed. The place was beautiful but my god it's so HOT inside, I was sweating like crazy and it makes me not comfortable to be in the museum for too long. The birds were cute though, and the staff was nice and would offer to take your pics. But honestly for the ticket price of 55k it wasn't worth it overall

BLANCO par Mandif is a fine dining restaurant that offers a modern twist on traditional Indonesian cuisine in an elegant and intimate setting. Located within the Don Antonio Blanco Museum compound, this award-winning establishment, led by renowned chef Mandif M. Warokka, serves haute Indonesian degustation menus with a contemporary flair. The restaurant's stylish ambiance and focus on degustation make for an exclusive dining experience, accommodating only 28 guests each evening.
An absolute must visit for fine dining lovers. This restaurant offers an exceptional menu. We decided on the signature menu with beverage pairing. I highly recommend the pairing as 3 out of 8 courses were served with a cocktail that lifted flavours like no wine could have. The service was impeccable with high attentiveness but without intrusion- just what you want. I can't even start talking food, too good. As food connoisseur we were extremely satisfied by flavour and outstanding technique. This restaurant, if located in Europe, would be on the Michelin 2 star list.

Love the team! Friendly and fun! They also take note on my allergies. Food starts real good! MVP dish of the night shall be the fish! The pairing throughout the night is good. Absolutely love the first drink made from arak! Well this place can’t disappoint as it’s rated top 1 in Indonesia 💛

An exemplary display of fine degustation! Service was impeccable and tailored; from being greeted at the outdoor entrance to printing out menus with our names on it and even giving us a handwritten card with both our names. Dessert was ridiculously thought out, thanks for the incredible experience.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The tasting menu was a perfect way to discover Indonesian cuisine cooked at a Michelin level. An amazing blend of western and Indonesian cooking techniques. I really appreciated the way the dishes were brought and presented. Each dish is carefully thought out, beautiful and delicious. The service was professional, warm and the attention to detail was phenomenal. The waitstaff were kind enough to kindly offer to call a taxi after the meal. Again, the attention to detail was really appreciated.
Antoine D — Google review
To start with the positive, the food was mostly pretty on point and the service was great. Now, for that price point, there was a number of problems: 1. One of dish served (wing bean) was litterally uneatable in one of the plates (extremely hard, impossible to cut through). We were offered a replacement - ok 2. The lobster, same thing, extremely bland and extremely tough to cut through. 3. Idk what is going in the kitchen but we could hear somebody coughing and sneezing loudly in there the whole night (we sat there for 4h+). Very disturbing from such a place... and to add to that there was obviously a young child as well there in the kitchen or some back room, as we repeatedly heard it screaming... I mean seriously ? 4. Cocktail prepared upon request was a huge miss. Tasted like a cheap bar cocktail but in a fancy glass. I mean, Jose Cuervo as liquor to pair with fine dining, really ? Now looking through the Google review for the restaurant, a lot of them (recent) are obviously FAKE. Have things gone downhill so far for this place that they have to go down this path ?... Anyways. For that price point, go somewhere else in Ubud unless they manage to get their things together.
Simon B — Google review
Fine dining that does not disappoint. Presentation is impressive and the dishes are unique. Wine list could be improved, but the cocktail pairing was excellent and overall a memorable experience.

Best experience in a Balinese restaurant I've had. Boy talk about deliciousness & service. I took the 9 course dinner which took me 3 hours to finish. This place deserves a Michelin star, very romantic and waiters know about the food, not to mention the impeccable service they provide. The sue chef came to my table to explain the first course, then the head chef also made a visit to make sure I'm satisfied. For my dessert the pastry chef also came by. Give it a try I'm sure you won't regret it.

An evening at Blanco Par Mandif was a culinary odyssey! Chef Mandif M. Warokka's innovative Indonesian cuisine is nothing short of spectacular, the dinner was a feast for the senses. It began with a unique touch – the handwashing ceremony. Instead of the conventional warm towel, they elevate this routine into a refined ritual 💅, setting the tone for the exceptional evening ahead. We tried the tasting menu. You can see that each dish was a testament to the chef's meticulous craftsmanship and dedication to culinary excellence. But 2 standout stars are the "14 Days Aged Smoked Duck Breast" and the "Signature Getug 6.0 A MUST TRY!!!! The service at Blanco Par Mandif was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail, from the timing of each course to the knowledge of the menu, was nothing short of phenomenal. The seamless orchestration of the evening's proceedings added to the overall charm of the dining experience. For anyone seeking the pinnacle of progressive Indonesian dining, Blanco Par Mandif is a must-visit destination 👏👏👏👏

It's an ideal spot for a local meal after enjoying the sunset at Seminyak Beach. The menu offers a wide variety of Indonesian dishes, with nasi campur being highly recommended. The restaurant provides an authentic experience with its unpolished ambiance and friendly English-speaking staff.

Cheap descent food! Matches the name of inexpensive warung. Small place but descent selection and the shrimp I had was tasty and got the price its was amazing. My meal was 70k so definitely worth checking out. On a budget or not it’s worth a try! More @zsoltzsemba

I visited Warung Murah Double Six for dinner and I am glad I came across this place. The food was absolutely yummy, packed with flavour and very very very cheap. I must highlight the kindness, attentiveness and friendliness of the staff, who always made sure everything was alright 🥺 I truly recommend this warung for local tasty food!! 💓

Great food for a good price. It’s priced a little more than in non touristy areas but still living up to the name and the quality and standard is good. I’ve been to this place many times because I like the food and being able to choose from the available dishes, assisted buffet style or ‘warteg’, though you can also order from the menu.

Delicious local dishes, pick what you fancy and pay what you order from the selection of pre-cooked items displayed on the plates or on the bain marie. Prices are reasonable, my plate cost IDR 42k (Beef Rendang, Lodeh, Bakwan Jagung, Tumis Kangkung, Nasi Kuning & Sambal Matah). The other dish with more meat was IDR 62k (Beef Rendang, Tuna Satay, Bakwan Jagung, Tempe Orek, Keripik Singkong Balado, Nasi Kuning & Sambal Matah). Tourist & local approved, definitely will be back.

I went here 2 times. In 5 days. Satay was so good! Affordable price too. One thing im annoyed is this 1 male server when i talk in bahasa he kept replying in english. He understands what i was saying but he keep talking in english.

Best local warung in Legian - plates look good and fresh, lots of choices and made to order dishes hit the spot. Nicer atmosphere more like a restaurant and feels clean and hygienic. Big recommend

Lyma Beach is an ideal destination for a memorable birthday celebration, offering breathtaking vistas and a relaxed ambiance. The helpful and responsive staff catered to every need, ensuring a fantastic experience. Visitors can look forward to stunning sunsets and enjoyable live music while enjoying delectable meals. The location is perfect for unwinding in Canggu, with friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere, and remarkable views. Guests can savor the restaurant's renowned prawn pasta dish during their stay in the area.
We absolutely love chilling here during sunset. Their tree cheese pizza is delicious! The view on the beach and dogs is very nice. Sometimes they have live music. I recommend coming here!

We visited this beach club in Pererenan for breakfast, and it was a really calm and cozy spot in the morning. The breakfast was tasty, and the fresh coconut was delicious! A small downside: they didn’t have oat milk for the cappuccino, which was a bit of a letdown. The service was okay, and the prices were reasonable. We can imagine the atmosphere in the evening must be amazing, especially for sunset. We’d definitely come back – the location right on the beach is beautiful and also great for families with kids.

The vibes, the food, the service, the live music!!! Everything 10/10. Steak was incredible and for such a great price. Ayu was our waitress and she was the sweetest and kindest ever!! Highly recommend this place 😍

A very cosy place to relax from the noisy life in Canggu. With delicious food and a beautiful view. Unfortunately when I was there yesterday it was cloudy and there was no sunset, but that means I have to come back to this place again. Because they still have many agendas, such as movies & markets. And yes they have music bands and singers with melodious voices to accompany your relaxation. And with friendly staff of course. The only small complaint from me, I ordered the Sirloin steak with medium doneness, but what came was weldone. But still with a satisfying flavour. Thankyou

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience in Bali, look no further than Sate Babi Tut Narutto. This charming eatery specializes in mouthwatering pork satay that boasts a perfect balance of salty and sweet flavors, complemented by its smoky charcoal finish. The tender texture of the pork is simply irresistible, making it a standout choice over other options like chicken.
Just dropped by for quick lunch here today, also been craving for sate babi. I love the taste of sate babi so do sate ayam. The bapak seller was so nice and friendly. It located in very cozy area and has a big space for parking. Definitely will come here again for my next sate babi craves 😊

Been struggling to find a good place where to eat Sate Babi and finally found this gem. Cheap, quick and so good! Very friendly people and good taste! 2nd day in a row that I’m coming back, recommended!
Michele — Google review
Charcoal smoky goodness. Pork had nice texture and marinade was well balanced between salty and sweet. I preferred the pork over the chicken. Little slices of salted chili were mega hot but made the skewers experience that much more exciting. No tourists here... a mix of local Bali families and solo eaters stopping off for a quick bite. Came here for lunch two days back to back.

...chicken and special pork satay and also pork soup "soto". Sweet and delicious and you can eat it with rice "Nasi" or rice cake "tipat", and fresh young coconut is the perfect drink. You can get them with affordable prices and spacious parking provided....
