Smooth is a great little venue with an awesome vibe. We went on a Wednesday night and they had live music that were excellent. The food was really good, cannot recommend the seafood skewers, tuna ceviche and the Bicol Express enough! Great food and quality. It did get pretty busy with the live music which was great to see so if you need service it was easier to go to the bar and order. Would recommend!

Everything about this place was amazing. We came here when a nearby restaurant was full, which was a blessing in disguise. We ate here on three separate occasions, which included both breakfast and lunch. I ordered Fall Off the Bone Ribs, Sous Vida Ribs and Eggs Benedict. Every dish was amazing which kept us coming back for more. The whole staff was great, the food and drinks were all phenomenal. Thank you to the whole establishment and especially the young lady that served us both nights we were there. Our favorite place in Moalboal and this place is a midday visit for anyone wanting a memorable experience. ✌🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼

Best cafe/restaurant that we have tried in Moalboal, certainly satisfied our food cravings! The pork was well flavoured and meat was tender! If you were to come here by motorcycle, would probably have to park opposite which is paid parking.

During our stay in Moalboal, had breakfast at Smooth Café and it instantly became one of our favorite spots in town. The place has such a relaxed, beach-town vibe, perfect for starting the day slow with good food and great coffee. Their breakfast options were impressive, we tried their variety of breakfast options, all beautifully plated and really filling. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. The coffee was excellent — strong, smooth, and clearly made with care. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming, the kind of place where you could easily linger after breakfast. If you’re in Moalboal and looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot with good coffee, Smooth Café is definitely worth a visit.

I highly recommend this place! The food was delicious—everything we ordered was flavorful and satisfying, with nothing off-putting at all. The ambiance is great and changes throughout the day. In the morning, it feels like a cozy café perfect for breakfast or brunch. At night, it transforms into a lively bar with a live band, creating a fun and energetic vibe. The staff are amazing—super friendly, and they even let you sing with the band! I was especially impressed that they got my Mai Tai just right, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

Great spot! Had breakfast here and had a couple of great coffees. Was back here in the evening and there was an awesome band on. The craft beer on tap was delicious.

One of the best local places in Moalboal. Delicious vegetarian and meat options: with the eggplant and pork dishes a particular standout. Bicol express is a dish for those with an adventurous taste - coconut milk and chillies blended into an addictive mix. Would definitely eat here every day.

This is the go-to smoothie bowl spot that everyone on the internet recommends, and it’s good, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. Don’t get me wrong it’s not bad, but for the price I felt like it lacked a bit in toppings. They were generous with the peanut butter though, which was nice, but it was an additional charge. This is a chain and there are locations all over the Philippines, and I think they are a good option in a pinch but I had way better and cheaper bowls elsewhere in the islands. Atmosphere is good! Open air and laid back vibes. Was a nice choice post-dive overall.

Got the Tropical Smoothie Bowl. Definitely expected more because of the hype and reviews, though it fell short of expectations. Still pretty ok overall. Staff were friendly especially considering that it was by closing time.

A lovely spot for a drink/food! The menu has plenty of options to suit your needs - but as importantly - not too many options! Although the kitchen had run out of my first choice, what I ended up having was very tasty and relatively health (kasbah wrap). We also had the kale and quinoa avocado bowl which was tasty, especially with the walnuts and raisins. Service was really good - prompt and friendly, it was clear the staff had had a busy morning!

It’s always a 10/10 for me. I love their peanut butter salted caramel smoothie bowl. The servings are generous. I couldn’t finish an entire bowl because I was so stuffed. The staff are also attentive and kind.

When I wanted to order, the cashier was on her phone even though I've already said hello. I ordered a smoothie bowl and gave a 1000 note, and I've received a wrong change without 500 note. Be careful....The smoothie bowl was good.

Love the smoothie bowls but the rolled oats was so hard to chew and they did not banana as part of the bowl when I ordered there. Nonetheless, great place to chill and stay occupied.

My friends ordered the Bom Dia Bowl while I had the PB Salted Caramel smoothie bowl. It tasted good. Nothing special about it. It would be nice if there were a build your own option. The smoothie bowl is not icy/creamy/solid in consistency like an acai bowl would be, (a little runny/watery) maybe the hot weather can be a factor. A good place if you want to chill and have something on the healthier side.

Taking the plunge and learning to dive was an amazing experience, to say the least. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel comfortable and excited for my first time. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for someone like me who had never been diving before. The instructors were patient and supportive, always making sure I understood the concepts. Exploring the underwater world was a true wonder, with vibrant fish and coral reefs. I definitely recommend this diving course if you're looking for a fun and rewarding experience. Overall, it was an unforgettable adventure that left me wanting more.

The best experience ever. We did the open water dive course and loved every minute of it! Adam our instructor was fantastic and probably the coolest person we’ve ever met! Learned so much and had four unreal dives. So happy we went with Savedra truly unforgettable. Would happy travel from the uk just for further course, amazing !

My friend and I did a discover scuba dive at Savedra and fell in love with diving! So we did the open water course and it was amazing! Our guide (Matthew) was the best! He is a good teacher, we felt comfortable to ask him a lot of questions and he was patient and kind to us. Besides him, the rest of the staff were really nice too! The equipment is in an excellent shape, they are professionals!

We had an amazing experience with Savedra. It was our first time scuba diving and now we are hooked ! We started with a Discover Scuba dive with Arnie which was wonderful. We went to the Sardine Run, we felt safe and well cared for. So much so that we immediately signed for a 3 days open water course. We did that course with Bjorn who was a fantastic instructor. His teaching is clear, efficient and he is very patient. We had a LOT of fun while being extremely safe and sensitive and felt that very high standards of teaching and safety were applied. I couldn’t recommend this course and Bjorn enough. This has now opened a whole new world of possibilities for us and we are very grateful.

Did my OWD certification with Savedra. My instructor was Mario and I have only the highest praise for him and the center. Top notch services, highly professional but human approach. We managed to finish even with typhoon Tino disruptions, for which I am very grateful. Thank you again to the whole Savedra team!

Had an amazing week diving with Savedra Dive Centre! My divemaster, Toshi, was calm, professional and incredibly patient. Every dive felt safe, smooth and enjoyable with him leading the way. I also had a few dives with Joseph, who was friendly, clear and always ready to help. The overall atmosphere at Savedra was warm and welcoming, with the whole team creating a relaxed and supportive vibe. Special thanks to Chey, Marlon, Vernel and Bugz for adding to the great experience. Can’t wait to come back and dive with Savedra again!

I loved every moment with Savedra Dive Center. The team is professional, friendly and creates a relaxed atmosphere. Arnie is an excellent guide who knows the reefs inside out and always finds the most fascinating marine life. I would gladly dive with them again.

Nice decor and had a little ‘gatsby’ vibe on the interior. Portions on the smaller side. It was a really warm evening but even the ‘aircon’ area was so warm that an extra fan made little difference. It was so warm that I lost my appetite and couldn’t quite enjoy my food. Sweet and sour fish was average. My partner did enjoyed the seafood platter though. Would give 3.5 stars but that wasn’t an option

I enjoyed the seafood platter here although not too big it filled me up with 2 garlic rice plus the fries. The service was gone and the atmosphere was good.

We had a lovely dinner here twice. First evening we tried beef steaks, meat was tender. So we decided to come back next day. We tried tuna steaks, which also were really fresh and well cooked. Prices are also very fare. Recommend to visit if you are in Moalboal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, comfortable and cozy, but the service is horrible. We waited 30 minutes for an iced tea and the food took over an hour. It was not that busy, we were one of the two guest. The meat and rice werd cold and hard, fries had no salt on it. Burger was good but not worth the wait. The waitress wasn‘t busy but also didn‘t get the empty plates, after guestd were finished with eating.

Food was not tasty… do not recommend… would never come back… I couldn’t eat it… didn’t look like picture… they still charged me. Lesson learned.

It's a fancy place within the area, it's along the road. They do have a variety of menu but some of them weren't available (grill and burger section, specifically the steak). They gave complementary sides - homemade bread which was tasty and considerate of them. The place is a bit small in which they cannot really accommodate big groups due to its limited seatings. Food was great and delicious. Expectedly, they are a bit pricey. Portions of the food were good. Staff were attentive and friendly. Overall, experience was great! Great ambiance and interior as well. Definitely, a good place to lounge around and have some wine, tapas or cheese platter.

The best wine bar in Moalboal with the best service (especially from Grace and Jonamae). I keep coming back to The Lounge because we always feel at home, and well taken care of here. The food is excellent, and the wine selection is the best in the area. We always hangout here for hours, as it is a good place to people-watch too. Love it here!

We had a great dinner at Betsy’s Grill in Moalboal. The cozy, rustic vibe made the place feel welcoming and relaxed. We ordered crispy pork, pork ribs, quesadilla, and soup with garlic bread and everything was flavorful and well-cooked. The pork ribs were especially tender and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. A great spot for good food and chill ambiance. Highly recommend! 👌🏼

Great and delicious food. Big serving good for 2-3 pax. Worth the price. Always my go-to restaurant here in moalboal. Staff are very accommodating as well. I ordered pork chop, Cajun Shrimp, baby back ribs with Hungarian Sausage, and Pork Belly.

I was genuinely impressed with the meal. The pasta was cooked to perfection—tender with just the right bite—and full of flavor. The pork chop was juicy and well-seasoned, with a beautifully seared crust. Overall, the food was tasty, well-prepared, and clearly made with attention to detail. A satisfying dining experience from start to finish.

Went here 3 years ago. Serving size was generous, we (2 pax) ended up taking the rest home because we were too full to finish. Staff are also accommodating. We only ordered baby back ribs and have been meaning to go back again soon to try other selections on their menu.

Betsy's Grill is a must-try in Moalboal, Cebu! I've been there multiple times, and the taste remains consistent - their food is fantastic, especially the salad, ribs and burgers! The service is top-notch, thanks to the friendly staff. I'd definitely go back for more. Highly recommend giving it a try when you're in the area of Moalboal Cebu.

I go here every time I go to Moalboal. I was here last week and still their flavors hasn't changed, still delicious, of course my favorite the back ribs and the Cajun pasta. Their staffs are friendly and waiting time is short. simply the best!

The ribs were great but they were missing 2 best sellers, the sausage, potato salad, all beers but one, no dessert… I have never seen such a shortage of menu options. That is why I am taking one star away, but maybe you will be luckier

We are a group of 4. The staff are complacent and you have to request each things like water, glasses. We had to ask for butter. No jam. Bacon overcooked. Bad timing and slow food came out twice (We had BF twice due to nice scenery and ambiance). Food came out for 3 person but forgot the 4th one. This happened twice. It was not busy so no excuse. If you want customers to come back, please improve your service. I would love to come back but put off by the bad service.

We ordered pizza but no plates or cutlery were provided, making it very inconvenient. The staff were slow to attend to customers and seemed more focused on chatting with each other than serving. Very disappointing experience. FIRST AND LASTTTTTT!!!!!!

I usually bring my family and friends here when visiting Moalboal, primarily for it's location. The food though can be a hit and miss. One time it's really delicious and the next, it's just ok. The beer is always cold. There's also free car parking about 50 meters away which is a major plus in this area.

Very tasty food and drinks they served here! Was literally eating lunch here everyday with the seaview seats. My friends enjoy their pork sisig very much!

This place is called veranda for a reason and it commands a great view of the sea (see pictures taken at noon and dusk). Beside is the assembly area for some diving activities. Their food is good, a bit pricier as a local but tasty. You can order fresh buko juice and request the coconut meat scrapped after for dessert. Staff are very patient and polite. There's no parking area so if you're coming here with car, ask locals where you can park. Maybe a suggestion: though understandable that they're also making a living, but please advise souvenir sellers not to swarm diners especially they haven't made an order yet or taken their meal. The resto is open so they can freely get inside the area and it's quite bothersome.

We had lunch here over the weekend and loved their food! They had generous servings and really good food. Prices are not cheap but are reasonable. Will eat here again should we travel this way in the future. They had quite a lot of items on the menu so you have a lot of choices. Want to try something else when we go back but the seafood mix and garlic shrimp was mmmmmmm! Yummy! Also, the view was fabulous!

Just amazing! Here in Moalboal there are so many nice places to eat, but for me, The Pleasure Principle is the No. 1. Food is delicious, it's perfectly clean and the owner wants you to feel like eating at home.

Amazing breakfast and great service. I had the big boy boom boom breakfast which apart from the hashbrowns was excellent. I'm sure the hashbrowns were great too but I just don't like those little oil sponges. Brewed coffee was as good as it gets here (which is not as good as it gets when I'm home, but was good). Added bonus was the addition of bacon not mentioned on the menu - Woohoo. The art work is interesting in this resto :-)

Definitely a must-try restaurant when you're at Moalboal. The adult themed ambiance is certainly interesting and it ties perfectly to their menu. Food portions are generous especially when you don't have a heavy appetite. Sharing is definitely recommended so you can try their various dishes. Price is a bit high but the quality of food and portions are enough to justify it. It wasn't so crowded when we were there and the service was excellent.

Principle respected, pleasure was indeed there with a friendly staff, a quite remarkable cuisine, and original images on the wall! The appetizer sets you for the journey, a simple but good lumpia, vietnamese style. The Sinigang was generous and tasty while the Seafood thermidor was a surprising mix of fresh seafood respecting the thermidor principle. Everything cooked at the moment. Freshly reopened after the pandemic, we already selected from the Carte what will be out next meal. Mix of French/world/Filipino cuisine, the Carte reflects the mood of this place's owner. Highly recommended, just seat and enjoy good food!

The banana pancakes are delicious - more like a crepe though (see photo). The Kano (americano 😂) breakfast is a good serving size, comes with real drip coffee and OJ too! The Filipino corn beef is authentic says my Filipino friend I was with (: photos taken September 2018.

We visited this place twice. For the first time, I shared with my friend the beed rendang. It has many pieces of beef and comes with both rice and a naan-like pita bread. It's really delicious so do give it a try. The 2nd time, someone recommended their sandwich so we went there for lunch and it was indeed quite good! The bread was tasty and nice on a hot afternoon. We quite like their iced tea and had it on both occasions. The staff are polite and nice too.

Mediocre plate of their special house platter. Everything was fried. Wasn’t bad but pretty average for fried food. Coconut rice was better than their fried platter. Typical tourist trap announced with Travelocity awards dating years back. Should have gone across the alley and had a view of the ocean and crashing waves.

The beach is stunning, featuring beautiful white sand and an abundance of colorful corals and fish, making it ideal for snorkeling. However, there are some downsides: nearby restaurants often have loud music and karaoke, and there is little to no shade available. It can also get quite crowded in the evenings. We paid 25 pesos each on the way there, in addition to parking and an entrance fee on-site.

I visited this place on a Saturday afternoon — it was quite crowded with lots of people swimming. There were many food stalls along the beach selling all kinds of grilled meat and seafood. The beach itself was clean and beautiful, but due to the crowd, I decided just to take a walk and enjoy the view. Note that there’s a small fee: 20 pesos for motocycle parking and 10 pesos for entrance

It's a public beach, but for some reason it requires a fee. It's dirty, there are no changing rooms or sun loungers, and there are lots of dogs and dog poop. The locals simply don't know what a normal beach should look like. There are no lifeguards either.

Calm blue waters, but very busy. Met some locals who invited us to join them to play volleyball that was fun. Overall, it was an okay experience.

We went here September 19, 2025. It is not a part of our Tour package, but included due to bad weather resulting for a temporary closure of Kawasan Falls. White Beach in Moalboal is open for the public, but you have to pay for an enviromental fee of 10 pesos per person and a parking fee of 100 pesos. The beach has a remarkable white sand and a stunning clear water. You can see on the other side the island of Negros Oriental.

It's really beautiful, but one the weekend very crowded

The water was as clear as drinking water, making it a perfect place to relax and connect with nature. The fine, soft sand added to the beach’s charm, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. However, while walking along the shore, we noticed some litter left behind by previous visitors. It’s disheartening to see such a beautiful place affected by waste. Hopefully, the local community and visitors will take responsibility for keeping this beach clean, preserving its natural beauty for everyone to enjoy.

Unfortunately, my visit to this beach was quite underwhelming. The shoreline was littered with trash, including plastic bottles, wrappers, and other debris, which made it difficult to enjoy the natural beauty of the place. There was also a heavy buildup of seaweed both on the sand and in the water, and it didn’t look like any cleanup had been done recently. It’s really disappointing to see such a potentially beautiful spot neglected. I hope the local authorities or community take steps to improve maintenance and preserve the beach for future visitors. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend this location if you’re looking for a clean and relaxing beach day.(we paid environmental fee for each pax)

Sunset and the beach—my ultimate lifesaving view. I could stay here forever, just watching the sun dip into the horizon. I love every moment of it! But just to set expectations, this place can get quite crowded with tourists, all waiting for the same breathtaking sunset. That’s why on weekends, I know it’s best to come early—even if it’s hot—so I can pick the perfect spot near the shore. And yes, I’m one of those people eagerly waiting for the magic to unfold

I saw a turtle near the beach while snorkeling, a lot of comber fish and a boxfish. The seal here is very different from any other place. Try to snorkel in the morning since the water gets murkier in the afternoon.

This was a very clean, soft white sand beach. We drove our rental from Moalboal and paid the environmental fee of 25p/person at the “checkpoint.” There is another charge for parking/entrance. We paid 50p per vehicle (for two people). The beach was clean, with shops and vendors selling coconuts, sea urchins, and beer. Bring your snorkeling gear so you can explore the beauty underwater.

Potentially beautiful beach, but absolutely ruined by the garbage and rests thrown away by local people. They have no cure for the environment and just throw everything away as the world is their own garbage bin. Besides bunches of plastic bottles and rests thrown away, we found diapers and bags full of rubbish. Full of dogs as well. A real shame how all these beautiful spots are being treated…

Beautiful beach, not very clean, though ( I can't understand the reviews saying it was clean). There is a lot of rubbish in the sand. 50 pesos for the parking of a motor bike. 50 pesos (2 people) for the environmental fee. The underwater life is beautiful, better to leave it undisturbed. Some shops/small restaurants in the area. We bought a coconut for 100 pesos. Beautiful sunset there!

Nice view. We waited a very long time before our ordered to be taken and we also waited a long time before our dessert arrived. The homemade ice cream was good. We also tried the breakfast - the banana pancake was good but avoid French toast it looks more like a deep fried toast and you can’t really taste the cinnamon

Nice location on the seafront you can enjoy a sunset there. Desserts were good. Drinks also but it took them a long time to take our order, the service was disorganised. We came back for a breakfast and it was a bit of a disappointment, French toast were deep fried... no French toast are not supposed to be deep fried.

An ideal place to unwind while dining. The restaurant has a sea view and a perfect place for sunset watching. It's kinda romantic place for couple😍. We ordered clubhouse for our afternoon snacks and it was so good. They also offer some Filipino dishes with a very resonable prices. I will surely be coming back here again!

Nice place to be. You are sitting on the sea side and have your food and drinks in a silent place. Their pizza is self made and also the other dishes taste good.

The place is clean, relaxing, very nice view and they have kids high chair which is something very important for tourist's with kids. The service was ok. However, the food was disappointing. We ordered veggie and prawn tempura and pizza, the batter was thick and specially for the veggie tempura the vegetables were way too thick. All in all, i think this place is good for drinks and just relaxing.

Very Good. Had a delicious meal that was served really quickly with friendly great service. Was sceptical at first because of some reviews but wasnt bad at all. Definitely recommend. We had chicken mango salad YUM and chicken fillets (could use a sauce but still good). Thanks

The place has a nice atmosphere and beautiful view for the sunset. But the food is mediocre at best. So hard to find good food here. Entree and appetizer was 400p.

Chili Bar is located near the shore of Panagsama Beach which is a good location to hang out after spending time on the beach. The pizza was good as it had the toasty burnt flavour on its crust. The fried chicken was typical and okay but the mojitos were the best! For the price we didn't expect for the mojitos to be a large size. The view of the restaurant is relax as it is on the sea shore where you can chill and unwind.

We had a beer. Simply fine, it’s hard to do it wrong just serving a beer. It could have been colder though. Really nice sunset view from this point.

We ordered pizza for our snacks. It was served hot and tasted good. Their place is good for relaxing specially after lunch with full view of the sea.

This bar is the most famous club in the city. The majority of tourists come here to party and have a drink. The is very nice and commercial so it’s easy to make friends and interact with locals as well. It is a very warm atmosphere.

Fantastic sea views and a comfortable vibe. Reasonable prices. The Pork Adobo was good but slightly salty. A great overall experience.

Pictured is burger + fries combo, as well as filipino dish sinigang (sweet / sour soup with pork belly). Bread was a bit dry on the burger but otherwise the meal was yum, with a good view.

An average place with a great view but by far the most comfortable place to do solo sardine run without extra fees. Leave your things there... enjoy a cold beer or whatever and dive...!

We didn’t stay overnight, but came by for Trivia Night – and it was a blast! Super fun vibe, great crowd, and the drinks were really good. Definitely a cool place to hang out in Moalboal. Would come again!

Nice social backpacker hostel with a spacious common area. The toilets are quite clean and the beds are comfortable. However the water pressure in the shower is really weak. Also I was woken up as early as 7am by staff chatting loudly near the bar as my bed was right next to the door.

The place was in a fantastic location and the staff were incredibly nice! I ended up staying here a week I liked it so much. They have good social activities like a free drink hour, pub quizzes, etc. to keep things fun and meet people. Special shoutout to Warren the receptionist for being exceptionally kind and helpful.

A perfect hostel vibe. All of the staff were knowledgable about activities in the area, and the hostel had the smallest markup I heard of for the activities you book through them. The owner is friendly and hosts 30 minutes of an open bar every night. The rooms and showers are clean and we'll maintained, and there is a large open space area for relaxing. There is a food court conveniently located right next door with over a dozen takeout options. There is very little a hostel could do better.

I have not stayed in this hostels however the quiz night that they put on every Thursday are good fun. You get a free drink 8-830 and then the quiz night starts. It's a little bit late for my opinion since you do see quite a few people leave as the night goes on . So you Might start out with a big team at first but then end up alone by the end of the evening. I had a great time I just wish it was earlier (just my opinion)

Definitely a 5 star experience and stay at Moho. Ultimately it was the staff that made the 4 night stay one for the memories. A huge thanks to both Warren and Larry who really put in a huge effort to help us with a smile! Thanks again Moho, highly recommended!

Really lovely stay. Social hostel but the party does tone down after 11:30. Free drinks are nice because means everyone comes out for it, trivia night was also great. We stayed in a private room and everything was perfect. Also, the staff is so lovely! And the breakfast here is great too.

You have to pay a 45-peso environmental fee per person, which we wouldn’t mind at all—if the beach were actually well maintained. On top of that, there's a 50-peso fee for scooter parking. Again, no problem, if you could truly enjoy a clean and beautiful beach in return. Unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed upon arrival. The beach was littered with plastic washed ashore, stray dogs were everywhere—pooping right in the sand where people sunbathe—and the overall environment was simply dirty. Luckily, you could see a few people trying to collect the garbage. It breaks my heart to see such a naturally stunning place treated this way. A gift of nature, degraded by human neglect.

Was not expecting it to be this clean and beautiful when we visited the beach, since I read some mixed comments. But we were so fortunate to experience it’s beauty when we were there. Went by 9 in the morning on a Tuesday and there were very few beachgoers. Perhaps more people tend to come by lunch time to afternoon or night. Or perhaps on weekends. Anyway, we had a great time. We only paid for the environmental fee (₱45) and parking fee (₱100 for car).

From moalboal, I rented a motorbike to get here. There is an environmental fee (45 pesos) and a parking fee (50 pesos). Once you made it to the beach, there are locals offering tables for 500 pesos. I forgot the price for the cottage. It was nice, it's not crowded. I could see some trash, but there were two people cleaning the beach so it's not that bad.

The beach is great, much calmer compared to Moalboal area. Multiple little kiosks and bars present, reasonably priced. They ask for an environmental fee to be paid prior to arrive to the beach (45 pesos per person) They accepted 40 pesos for parking for a car. Despite the fees, it's worth it. Perfect for a stop over after canyoneering!

This Lambug is very calm and there is no fees for this beach. I enjoyed a sunset on this beach. It was the fantastic experience. We also drink green coconut water from this beach shop and it tastes too good. Loved this place.

Really amazing Italian place. Pizza was fantastic. However the pasta was okay at best and the portions for the seafood is the frutti de mar could have been a bit more compared to the pasta. Overall still delicious. Their tomatoes were very fresh and thats important for Italian food. Ambience was great, as they make you take off your shoes and the mood lighting with candles help. Staff very friendly. Bit pricey but worth it if you're craving pizza.

This is my second time dining at Al Trové Moalboal, and once again, it did not disappoint. Nestled slightly away from the lively beach nightlife, this spot offers a more peaceful, refined atmosphere—perfect for those looking to unwind and enjoy great food in a relaxed setting. What truly sets Al Trové apart is their brick oven pizza, which lives up to the hype. The flavors are fresh and authentic, with that perfectly crisp crust that only a real wood-fired oven can deliver. Every bite feels like a little trip to Italy! One of my favorite things about this place is their no shoes policy—it adds a warm, laid-back charm that fits perfectly with the tropical surroundings. There’s something about dining barefoot, with the breeze and good food, that makes the experience even more special. If you’re in Moalboal and craving excellent pizza in a calm, stylish space, Al Trové is a must-visit. Looking forward to the next time already!

great place for pizza! the interior and atmosphere are great. i ordered a pepperoni pizza, it came out piping hot, fresh and delicious! a thin crispy base, with a generous amount of toppings. really good quality food and the staff are lovely.

This place should focus on selling oil, not Italian food. Just take a look at the photo I posted what was served can barely be called pizza. It was drenched in oil to the point of being inedible. On top of that, the chef seemed to think that dumping an absurd amount of oregano all over the pizza was a good idea. I have never in my life seen such a careless and overwhelming use of oregano on any dish, let alone pizza. As if the food disaster wasn’t enough, I was also asked to remove my shoes before entering. Frankly, instead of asking customers to take off their shoes, the staff should head back to the kitchen and start learning how to prepare something remotely edible. What I received was not a meal, it was a mess. Avoid this place if you value your taste buds, your money, or basic food standards.

Really great experience here. The most authentic Italian food I’ve had outwith Italy. The pizza was delicious. They had a halloween offer for unlimited cocktails for 2 hours for only £7 which was amazing value for money. The whole menu was great value to be honest. Lovely atmosphere - quiet but nice. The staff were so attentive too. Highly recommend.

We ordered 310 grams SUTUKIL(Tangigue 1.70/gram). Our instructions was 2 parts for kinilaw and 1 part for each to tinola and sinugba but instead we got 2 parts of tinola. A little bit disappointing but their food was just so great! We'll come back again but hoping our instructions will be right the next time. 5 stars for their food, it was so LAMI! LASADOOO🥰

They managed to squeeze us in within 30min which was great. It's a good spot overlooking the water. The service was great, the guy serving us was professional and helpful. Entries were quite good. Sashimi tuna was tasty could have been cold instead of room temperature. I had the thai fish cake which I really liked, but they weren't like any Thai dish I'd ever had. Then they ruined it with the Red Hot Chicken Curry that had absolutely no chilli in it at all 🫤 and the chicken was like overcooked balls of cardboard.

This restaurant is now known as Tan-Aw, which seemed to be quite recommended even by locals for its good food. We came here also because we were told we were able to watch the sunset here. We had an filipino oriental fried rice and a thai shrimp fried noodle, the fried rice was pretty decent but the noodles were a miss. The flavour of the noodles were overly sour and the shrimps weren’t that fresh. The food also took quite long to arrive, but seems like a norm so far in the Philippines. For the sunset, while the restaurant does overlook the sea, only selected table(s) can actually see the Sun setting. Thus, I would say there are definitely better restaurants you can catch better sunsets in!

The food and service was incredible. We had the tuna belly which my wife loved and I had seafood pad Thai delicious!. The food was explained very well. What are we going to be and enjoyed meeting with the cook!. The only reason I knock them down one star is the lighting was kind of goofy and stairs were a little hard to manage. Be warned if you have mobility issues. There are quite a few stairs

Great food here. We had the grilled sizzling seafood plate and the pork guisado. The seafood is fresh and serving is generous. The mango float was definitely the highlight of the night. Made with cream, mango and soft biscuits. The pineapple shake was fresh and sweet. Went the next day for lunch. Had tuna sashimi, squid and ginger stir fry and carbonara. All were fantastic.

Very nice location ! A great view on the beach. Perfect to watch sunset. The food is delicious :). We ordered - one pork pineapple curry and one fish Sumatra curry - both were really tasty :). The banana juice was also very good. Nice and welcoming staff.

Our go to in moalboal! We were served by an adorable granny in this very warm and welcoming restaurant. Comfortable seaview dining with affordable food and drink options. Their shakes are delicious and unique. Food is a good representation of local cuisine and is scrumptious and generous.

Our stay at Ravenala was truly unforgettable. We arrived much earlier than expected, around 10 a.m. and Maria immediately made sure we had a room ready, which was such a relief after a long drive. I had booked five rooms for my big family of 13, including kids, and Maria went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy throughout our stay. She was genuinely kind and always checked in on us. The rooms were spacious and cozy, and I especially loved the bed with the mosquito net, it brought back sweet childhood memories. The bathroom was also big and clean, and overall the setup was perfect for a relaxing stay. One of the things that pleasantly surprised us was the fast and reliable internet. My sister-in-law was working remotely during our trip with no issues. At the restaurant, Vivian, Neb and the other lady which name I forgot were fantastic. They were warm, attentive, and always made sure our food arrived on time. We also celebrated my grandmother’s birthday during our stay, and the staff made the day feel extra special with their thoughtful service. Even though the bungalows are located in a busy area, the property itself is peaceful and quiet. The beach is just steps away, and it’s absolutely beautiful white sand and crystal clear water. My entire family had a wonderful time. Thank you Ravenala.

We stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. The owner and staff were some of the most accommodating people we’ve ever met. The breakfast was delicious and filling — the perfect start to each day. We originally booked this place for the calming beachfront, but it’s the people (and Brix the gentle giant dog), the food, and the warmth that will bring us back.

We used to love coming here — this resort used to be my wife and I’s favorite beach getaway. Unfortunately, it seems the place hasn’t been well maintained lately. The biggest issue we noticed was with the pillows. Underneath the pillowcases were old and visibly dirty pillows, which made us worry about possible molds inside. I even had to use a spare T-shirt as a protective layer just to sleep more comfortably. Second, the shower was barely functional (room 1). The water pressure was so weak that we couldn’t properly bathe, which also made us hesitant to swim in the sea since rinsing off afterwards wasn’t possible. Third, the bathroom window offered no privacy. There were no curtains or blinds, and with the lights on inside at night, it was easy for people passing by outside to see in. We could hear footsteps just outside while using the bathroom, which was very uncomfortable. The food was average, with very small breakfast portions. It makes me sad to write this because the resort has always had a cozy atmosphere and an amazing location by a beautiful beach. It really has so much potential, but it’s just not being maintained properly — sayang. On a positive note, the staff remain very friendly, and their dog is as welcoming as ever. I truly hope they make improvements because if they do, we’d be more than happy to make this our regular beach spot again.

Rooms are ok. Breakfast is also good. The seaview is amazing, especially since the weather was perfect when I got here. There are dogs all over. The owner and staff members are really accommodating. This is a good place to relax and wind down.

we didn’t stay in the hotel but come to the cafe/restaurant near the white beach. The reception staff at the restaurant was a bit cool at the beginning but then she become more passionate. It’s a nice place. White wine is just PHP 187 per glass and the Nasi Goreng is so tasty. It’s a chill and sunny afternoon.

Check in and out was quick. Room was a so so, size is descent however it needs updating. The room smells like mildew. The bathroom needs to be clean thoroughly our bathroom has smudged toothpaste on the wall by the sink. The comforter has a dusty smell. The bed was comfortable, the staff are very nice restaurant food was good. Compliments to the chef. The beach however is dirty, such a disappointment. Too many trash floating by the beach front sea water, and by the beach shore you see sanitary napkin. Nasty. When you snorkel you also see trash here and there sinking. The resort should have someone cleaning keeping the beach front clean and tidy at all times.

Overpriced, decaying and eavesdropping The resort was founded on a great location and a vast investment for sure. After having seen better days, the resort looks still nice but is decaying from a few aspects. The owner definitely wants to save the budget in staffing. The staffs onsite were neither great nor bad, the front desk closing at 6PM is abnormal but tolerable. But ridiculous when it comes to not answering emails and phone calls. I was inquiring a transfer from Cebu City to the resort days before check-in which was forever not responded. The return transfer we booked at the front desk was a lousy vehicle stank like vomit where they must have secured some budget out of. Suffering the stink for three hours, I accidentally left my wifi router inside the vehicle. Given no contact point of the driver we had to call this resort. All three different numbers provided by this resort did not answer our calls. It was around 1PM on Saturday, so the front desk going home after 6PM was no excuse. Email titled Urgent too was not answered for hours, until I travelled to the police station in Cebu City to file a case - as required by the wifi provider for insurance coverage - and back. Somehow they started shooting Whatsapp messages to my husband who sent the email. I could see, as our numbers were from overseas, they would hate calling on international fees. Eventually the driver reached us and handed the wifi router after 5PM, after 4 hours of journey to the police, reading Whatsapp messages full of excuses, reporting the loss to the wifi vendor were wasted and the cash we had to tip the driver was spent. Then an email from “Dolphin House CEO” trying to preach that we should not have gone to the police made a great finale, followed by another wordy email saying my husband must have a burnout syndrome. This email also revealed that a guy who was sitting in the restaurant area all day peeping and eavesdropping his guests was likely the very owner, from his description on what we were doing at the table. To the owner: Save your energy in peeping/eavesdropping and using it to attack your guests, and invest the energy (and money) in service improvement. To the readers: There are plenty of other resorts in Moalboal with better prices. Invest your budget on local service providers working harder for their customers. * Disclaimer: He never said greetings to us. ** Edit: I do not use TripAdvisor, but the experiences above urged me to check how this resort is reviewed in TripAdvisor. Somehow the owner was extremely diligent in reading every review and responding in the most creepy manner when the review is negative. If I checked this resort on TripAdvisor in advance, I would have never booked this place. *** Edit 2: Left a review that is a more brief to Expedia as I was writing from my smartphone. Then the owner of the property emerged and left a saga of what “he thinks it happened”. It is almost amusing how he tries all his best NOT to comment on their unresponsiveness to calls for hours. As if that is something he must protect against his customer.

I was recommended to stay and dive with Dolphin House and while the service was wonderful I found the cost versus experience quite expensive especially in regards to diving and meals. The grounds are nice but as it is very isolated for me it wasn't ideal with limited options without transportation. In addition the only option I was given online was a triple room which I booked as a solo traveler but there were very few guests and a lot of keys in the cleaned board in the office which I took as being forced to pay for a larger room than I needed. If you have your own transportation or just want to be away from everything this might be an option for you but in my case it wasn't ideal.

We booked 3 days. This location was beautiful. It was far away from the noise and close enough to the beach. You get a private beach section by staying here. We loved the restaurant and bar's location right next to the gorgeous white sand beach. The only thing we did not like was the Wifi connection. We needed it to book another room in a different island and continue our itinerary but it seemed that only the bar area had good internet. This location is definitely a couples location. Recommended if you are looking for peace and beach access. The part of this resort was Felix their duck 🦆

Location is great if you’re diving, otherwise it’s a 15min tricycle to Panagsama Beach for sardine run, cafes and tour offices. The grounds are generally good, clean and tidy but ageing. The rooms are basic and very small with terrible bathrooms. Unfortunately, we found the front desk staff quite rude and some of the restaurant staff uninterested in service. The food was average and overall the property and facilities are expensive and you’re not getting what you paid for.

We stayed here with our young children and had a very good experience. The resort is located just outside Moalboal, but it’s easy to get to the village by tuk-tuk if you want to see the famous sardines or explore the town. The grounds are beautiful, with a lovely garden and several cozy spots to enjoy a meal. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant serves very good food. We especially enjoyed eating in the different little corners of the garden. Snorkeling right in front of the resort is excellent, and it’s a big plus that you don’t need to go far to see plenty of marine life. The rooms are good, though they are starting to feel a little dated. The air conditioning units could use an update, but overall the accommodation was comfortable. We had a small issue during our stay, but the owner handled it quickly and very effectively, which we really appreciated. Overall, this is a place we can definitely recommend especially for families.

Honestly on a 5 point scale for beauty, setting, and fair ocean vibes I would give Dolphin House a 6! Potentially a very good place to stay if you are diving and snorkeling. But holy bejeezus the front desk is lazy. Nor is the manager interested in helping customers- he would rather make ad hominem attacks than deal with the failings of his staff. We had an urgent situation requiring us to contact the driver of the car arranged by Dolphin House (item left in car). Could have been resolved in ten minutes. Yet Dolphin House avoided more than 15 calls and a polite email marked “urgent”over a span of three hours. After another urgent (and less polite) email one of the three front desk ladies finally answered (unprofessionally). By that time our item was long gone. In person, those three front desk staff just chat with each other and don’t assist visitors. They don’t even make eye contact until you say something. Certainly they are not checking or writing emails. So after 3 hours the front desk then claimed (via Whatsap !!) -“Sorry, our phone was on silent mode!” (For three hours and no one noticed?!) -“Uh, the local phones are down!” (They weren’t) -“You must have called the wrong number!” (We didn’t, and their instinct was to blame the customer) They also refused to call us to resolve the situation despite several requests. Lastly the manager simply refused to believe what we were telling him- that due to the hotel’s lazy attitude my wife was forced to go to the police station to report the item left in the car as missing. When we explained to the manager that this was required by our insurance policy, he responded with unbusinesslike insults. He refused to believe my wife was required to go to the police if the item was not returned. to her. The manager had no idea about the terms of our JAPANESE travel insurance contract, though I explained its terms. He simply chose to attack us for going to the police even though he had no clue what he was talking about. So minus 5 points for having the most lazy front desk staff that I have encountered in 30 years of adventure travel, and a manager that enables and reinforces their lack of professionalism. Love Moalboal, but stay elsewhere than Dolphin House is our advice (not surprisingly the place was mostly empty for five days we were there). Bad management can seriously damage even charming destinations.

I loved it here!! I wish I had taken more photos. Everything was perfectly clean, service is top-notch. We arrived waay before check-in time and they happily accommodated us. The view of the beach is excellent. Pool is always clean. Only giving 4 stars overall due to reception not being 24/7. Although if I could I would have given a 4.8 overall despite that. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing view from here! Highly recommended—especially if you have weak knees, as the trail to the peak isn’t too difficult. The breeze is refreshing, and the overall experience is so enjoyable. Definitely a place worth visiting again and again.

The tallest peak in Cebu Province, where clouds kiss the cliff. The trek is easy and ascending; you could feel the coolness and changing weather of the peak. A lush green coated with fog and drizzle that cleanses your soul. Don't forget to take your camera, drone, and special someone if you have one. Since it's cold up there, you need somebody to hug you, but if you are single, just hug the cliff and whisper there that you need one. Who knows… #BiyaHelton

Very nice, one spot has 360 view, but I found it not as good as Casino or Kandungaw. Also you need to pay for a guide, so it's 170 pesos in total.

Beautiful view, beautiful people & beautiful experience. We had a taxi from our hotel here, and paid a little bit for the guide and tentage area, it was worth it as the guide even helped us to set up our tent! View up there was spectacular and breathtaking. The best part was that the hike is only like 20mins long, which means any non professional/unfit hikers would be able to experience it as well. My recommendation would be to camp up here with a tent between sunset and sunrise to ensure you get the best of both views and also a cooling and personal experience with your travel companions! No regrets from this place!

Nice little hike up to the peak with a nice view over the local area. Sign in and pay the small fee at the registration booth at the base of the trail. The well maintained path is paved with nice flowers planted all the way up. We had the place to ourselves, which was perfect. Side note the road from Moalboal is mostly paved all the way up, but they are doing work on a few sections where the road is rough. You can easily get through on a bike, despite what some of the local kids on bikes might tell you. They are just trying it on, so you ride with them. We just politely declined and were fine. The rough sections are short so easily manageable.

I hike from sea level to the top starting near Badian. I only recommend it if you're extremely experienced because the path in 3-4 sections has been reclaimed by nature and you may get load and have to U-turn. Especially from Sohoton onwards. I bumped into a family of many children just before the peak and several aggressive dogs and a dead goat with goats around it wailing. It took me 8 hours return trip to hike it all. I was well covered from the sun but 2.5 litres of water weren't enough so I struggled in the last two hours with dehydration. Nevertheless amazing views

For me it’s quite challenging because from the starting point you need to go uphill. It was sunny when we went and the air is getting thinner as we go along but it’s worth it. Entrance fee is 50php the lady insist that we should get a guide but we refused and found a small refreshing store that sells water and soda’s and asked a little girl to guide us to the cave underneath the peak, to avoid getting lost. But there is a sign anyway.

If you like hiking, come here. It’s a bit challenging for some who’s not used to hiking but it’s possible. Make sure to bring enough water and a snack if you want to stay longer on the top.

For every hikers and climbers out there, it is worth the climb and the view is very beautiful, you can see the whole moaboal and badian and the very famous island hopping destination Pescador Island

It took about 30–45 minutes to reach the peak. I consider this a beginner-friendly hike, though I wasn’t too fond of the stairs. Overall, it was a great peak to visit. There are plenty of spots to take pictures and appreciate the beauty of nature, and there’s also a cave you can explore.

Entrance is 50 PHP Way UP is about 2 km and 280 elevation gain. On the top there are two peaks and cave On the main peak (Kandungaw), 90% of the road is paved/stairs. You can do it in flipflops (but I recommend having shoes or at least sandals) to the cave I recommend having better shoes. All the way up is surrounded by plants, trees, and flowers. It is beautiful

Only 1km+ from badian town, you can easily walk to arrive there. Entrance fee is 100p. There is only one pool for guests to swim. The others are fishponds. Be aware that the stairs are very slippery and the area of the pool beside the stairs is very deep (more than 170cm), you may drown if you slip. you can rent s life vest for 50pesos. The pool is sea water mixed with fresh water so You will float if you lay down.

If you’re looking for a chill and affordable place to cool off near Badian, Kangsanto Spring is worth a visit. It’s just a little over a kilometer from the town proper. Entrance fee is ₱100 per person, and while the area is simple and not too big, it offers a unique swimming experience that’s different from your usual resorts. There’s only one pool meant for swimming (the others are fishponds), but what makes it stand out is the brackish water; a natural mix of seawater and freshwater. It’s salty enough to help you float easily, which is perfect if you just want to lie back and relax. We rented a cottage for ₱500, which gave us a nice shaded spot to rest, eat, and keep our stuff dry. They also have rooms available for overnight stays, which could be a good option if you want to stay longer or avoid the noontime heat. Just be careful, those poolside stairs are slippery, and the area right beside them is deep. If you’re not a strong swimmer, you can rent a life vest for ₱50. There’s a lifeguard on duty, too, which adds a bit of peace of mind. The staff were approachable and helpful, which we really appreciated. Facilities are basic, shared bathroom, no shower, just a balde and tabo, and no hot water. Not ideal for everyone, but manageable if you come prepared. There’s also parking right in front, which makes it convenient for those bringing a car. If you’re into singing or just want a bit of fun, videoke machines are available for rent. When multiple groups are using them, it turns into a lively, borderline chaotic concert mashup; good energy if that’s your vibe, but maybe bring earplugs if it’s not. One tip: check the tide schedule. We got there around 11 AM and enjoyed full water, but by 3 PM, the level had noticeably dropped. Timing your visit during high tide makes a big difference. Overall, Kangsanto Spring isn’t a luxury destination, but it’s a good place to relax and enjoy something a little different. It’s not instantly “Instagrammable,” but with the right angle and lighting, you’ll still find some nice photo spots. Just manage your expectations, enjoy the basics, and you’ll have a good time.

Natural spring water (mixture of fresh and saltwater) 2. 5ft deep at the time of visit 3. Has fish and other natural creatures which are harmless 4. They allow diving and jumping (1meter jump from water surface) Cons: No life guard around. No life jackets provided (for non swimmers).

a cool place to have a swim and chillax for a short while. just prepare 40 pesos for entrance fee... it has 3 pools but only 1 is allowed to swim and dip into. the other 2 pools have fishes... it has cottages worth 250-500 and private rooms worth 1400 pesos. but, it doesn't have much if you wanna stay longer...

A natural spring used to be used by locals to wash their clothes and bathe their karabao. However, now it became a private owned natural pool. An ideal place for cooling down during such hot and humid weather. The place are well taken care of and there are available rooms for rent. The attendant in this place is very friendly and helpful. The entrance fee is 20 piso for children and 40 piso for adult. For the driver and photographer, that's me, it is free. The rooms are as low as 800 to 1000 piso per night. It is not too shabby a place to spend during a hot summer afternoon.

Wewere the only customers during our visit. Walk in is okay. No booking needed. Very spacious and cleab. Grill bar is nearby. Very cold spring. Cottages rate at 350php. entrabce is 50 php.

It was a fun experience. A ride to that place itself is very nice, scootering among green hills in Philippines is always very good experience. As for the cave - it’s not very big but is very nice, take water shoes as you have to walk through water.

Fish spa! The locals have dammed the water in so I'm not sure if the fish are native to the cave, though. A bit hard to reach unless you rent/hire a motorbike. The place itself is small so avoid crowded times. The water is refreshingly cold, especially if you had hiked there. You only have to pay a minimal entrance fee to swim, but going into the cave requires a tour guide which will cost extra.

Awesome cave! 50 pesos fee plus 200 pesos for the guide worth every pesos. The guide will provide flashlights. Bring swimming suite / pants and look out for the fruit bats 🦇

Must visit on weekdays to avoid the crowd. The cave is not that spacious but the water is clean and cold. Perfect for summer!

Who wants to see the source of fresh water for the whole region and explore bat cave with stalactites, plus having a splash in cold pristine water with locals, look no further. Local guys (Carl Angelo, Axcil Rose, Jenjen, Carlo and others) will take you through cave for small fee of 300ph. If you are looking for a swimming spot for your family, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a chill place to hang with local people, have a beer and a splash here! Pavel K

Was a nice drive to the spot. Cost 25 pesos per person to get through, 10 pesos to park our bike, and they wanted another 25 pesos per person to go in the cave, saying we needed a guide. We stopped at that. Water looked fresh but you're entering a families home and they seemed to spend the day hanging out there. If you're ok with paying and having a local with you definitely check it out but not much privacy.

Of course don’t expect the best Mexican food, is the Philippines. Bearing that in mind, good quality for a reasonable price. Nice and chill environment by the time we went.

BEWARE THE BEANS!! We were hoping to have a lovely Mexican dinner however we unfortunately were given baked beans on everything, baked beans on the nachos, baked beans in the veggie taco and baked beans in the chicken quesadilla. If you’re a bean lover you might love it here but sadly we weren’t keen. The staff did kindly re-make the chicken quesadilla free of charge without the beans but as you can see the vegetarian taco couldn’t be saved.

I’ve been here many times already, and it’s perfect for burrito fans! They make the best Bacon Wrapped Burritos in town, which are really tasty and something special you can’t get elsewhere. The atmosphere is artsy and cozy, with live acoustic music adding to the relaxing vibe. It’s a great spot to enjoy good food and live music in a chill setting.

You should eat here when visiting moalboal. First of all the place is packed with games to play until you get the food, and is located in a main street with a fiesta around every night (basketball games and gambling all over the street). We were 2, sharing the Nachos with all the toppings on the side, a vegetarian pad thai, and a chicken burrito. The food was delicious, the burrito was huge and packed with rice, chicken and sauce. The pad thai sauce was amazing!! Sweet and spicy, just great.

Have eaten here 3 times because its just so nice. A relaxed atmosphere with good music. Very friendly staff making surprisingly good food and the beer is ice cold. What more could you ask for lol. Its away from the busy area and well worth the walk.

Value for money. Good serving of food. 3 orders in their menu is already good for 5 or 6! Micah is also a nice host. Definitely a must go if you’re in Moalboal! :)

Amazing beach where its practically guaranteed to swim with sardine balls and other sea creatures! Many can find turtles as well! Parking and environmental fees are here but not much :)

Had a great experience here. The sardine run and turtle watching is great. With 500 pesos, you get a guide to help you swim with the sardines. The place is pretty crowded with lots of restaurants to choose from. Room accommodations are also cheap but don't expect a 5-star feed on some. This is a must place to visit when in Cebu Island.

Nice beach, a great place for safe Snorkelling.

The beach looks plain upon first glance but what's underneath is what matters. Our guides are super nice. It doesn't matter if you don't know how to swim, they will go with you under the water and lift you after. Just remain calm and savour the experience.

It will be a 5 stars beautiful spot, if everyone acknowledged to keep the garbage out of the sea, not just only small groups’ responsibility.

It’s not a beach! It’s a rocky zone with little sand here and there Warning! Sellers everywhere, greedy to sell and follow me to try hard! They want to sell, but not clean the water. There is no police, locals do whatever they want. It’s a shame a beautiful place mismanaged. Here, there are also lots of young women, 8-12 years old selling souvenirs on the beach and street.. trying so hard and following girls for the bracelets, necklaces, etc. Hate this environment… There are still some turtles and sardines but no corals… all destroyed and no supervision ..

We wanted to get away from the normal bars along the beach so we tried this one out. Nice layout of the bar and tables. You can sit at the bar or a secluded table. Drinks are moderately priced. Staff was friendly and attentive. We were there in the beginning of low season so at times in the night it was just the two of us. Would like to see it on a busier night. I think it would be fun.

Had a brilliant experience with Planet Action. Had a bit of trepidation about the Kawasan canyoneering as our 4 kids were coming with the youngest being 6. I need not have worried at all. The guides were exceptional, now I mean exceptional. We had a guide to each child and they were so friendly and encouraging. The guide Brian for our 6 year old went above and beyond the call of duty and jumped, swund and swam with him for hours. It meant we could keep an eye but also enjoy ourselves. Singling one guide out is probably unfair as they were all brilliant. A few days later we did the Whale sharks and Osmena peak. It was a very early start but we were in the water at 6am when it started so that was great and the driver was very accommodating as we moved at our own fairly slow pace there and up and down the peak. When we came back he had the foresight to have the air-conditioning on as it was very hot. Overall a great experience and yeah the van that collects you for the falls could do with an upgrade but the people completely negate that. By the by the place where their shop is does decent pizza and local dishes

Planet Action Adventure was absolutely fantastic! We did pay quite a bit more for a private tour of Kawasan Falls (PHP3000 per person) but we were told there were limited numbers. We were collected on time in the morning, 4 of us plus another 2 guests made out group a total of 6. When we arrived at the start of the canyoning adventure it was chaos, so so many people around and we were very confused about why we'd paid so much more than other companies. We decided on the flying fox and after about 15 mins we were at the top. Flying fox is highly recommended. It was when we arrived at the start of the canyoning that we realised how great Plant Action was. We had a guide per person and they were very patient, helpful, made sure we took our time over the rocks and kept safe over the whole day. If we didn't want to jump there were always other options provided (jumps range from 4-10m). They took our Gopros and phones and got such great footage for us, it meant we could just relax and enjoy the experience. Being a small group meant we could bypass the large "just-here-for-insta" groups meaning we never felt there were that many people around. Lunch was in a private little spot over looking one of the bigger waterfalls and it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended this company from start to finish. We had such a fun day out!!

My son and I had a very positive experience on a 5 hour walk up into the Badian Highlands with Vincent our guide. We reached Casino peak after walking through thick forest and small highland villages growing a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. It was a good workout and an authentic insight into life of the locals, while enjoying the wildlife and abundant vegetation. I definitely recommend this walk for anyone who is looking for a more vigorous and authentic experience.

Spent 3 days with this company, it was fabulous. I love the guides, every single one of them is full of joy and love for the job. Best one is the myth, the legend Marioooo!!! Last day we hit a couple of beers with the guides, they are really kind persons. The trips we took were the best experience we had in PH. Thank you for your hard work. We had an excellent time with Planet Action! Would highly recommend canyoning with these guys! The lunch was incredible and the care taken as we navigated the canyon was next level. We were a small group while the other groups we saw were huge so we felt very special. We were told by many that Mario is the king of canyons, he pioneered canyoning in these parts so you can't go past his expertise.

A group of us went to Osmena Peak after a dive safari, in February. Good, friendly guides took us in a comfortable van till the trekking point. They were pretty competent and helpful, if a little aloof during the trek. No complaints on that front, though an intro would be useful. However, one major mistake is not having a first aid kit, even a basic Dettol or something. I slipped on a rock and cut my hand very badly, and thankfully had enough hand sanitizer, plus one person in our group is an ex-Nurse, so I was able to keep it safe till we reached actual first aid. Even more shockingly, they didn't have first aid even in the van, only from the shop. Thankfully my cut wasn't all that bad, but there could be several situations in which things could have been worse. Overall, a good trip (with one bad memory) with some lovely views.

Fantastic canyoneering trip to the stunning Kawasan falls. Our guides Mario and Vincent were brilliant and it was great to be in such a small group (7 people total). A lot of the other tours we saw had dozens of people which wouldn’t have been such a good experience, so would highly recommend Planet Action.

Strong shower water pressure, relaxing environment, nice looking room but the curtains were very thin so it was super bright at 5:00am and it never got truly dark at night because the outside lights would shine in. The AC is not strong enough and the sound proofing is not good as we could hear everything that occurred outside of the room. The bathroom sink had hair in it that was not ours and it was clogged. Breakfast pancake is just 1 small pancake. When you ask for additional shampoo or more linens they give you a strange looks and they have to ask their boss - the clean room sign did nothing.

The staff here were openly unfriendly and made me feel completely unwelcome. I came in once by mistake, thinking it was part of the nearby resort, and instead of a polite response, I was met with a cold, hostile attitude. When I returned later just to eat at the restaurant, I was treated the same way again. It was clear they didn’t want guests from outside

Staff were wanting a 100p swimming "fee" after we ate drank and took massages ×4. I think a lot was a translation issue. Won't be returning though.

We booked the turtle and sardines snorkeling tour for 400 pp pax and we were not disappointed. The guide was very nice. They took care of us and took pics of us. One piece of advice: go early! It’s better early in the morning, around 7:30-8:00. That’s the only downside.

I had a bad experience from this attraction. The water is itchy right after I submerged anf the tour guide on the boat is unfair. If you dont avail of their gopro rental, they will not assist you to your whale shark video. The worst part, they even shoo you away to get a better video for the other passengers. Such a bias experience.

Unique chance to swim next to Whale Sharks. Enormous, powerful and harmless fish. Fantastic experience. It is better to scuba than snorkel. There are many snorkellers so the surface is rather crowded (I was there on some November Sunday morning). Atrongly recommended!

Did the one hour sardines and turtle dive which was very nice. Dive gear was decent and tour guide was able to point out a turtle that we would have missed.

The beds were extremely soft! This was the best part of the hostel. The pool in the photo is FALSE. The staff was nice enough, but NOT friendly. I was charging my phone in the conman area and a staff member seemed perturbed I asked to plug in. The room I stayed in had terrible circulation. The air outside was cool but not in the room. The location is great! Restaurants everywhere and the beach is a 3-5 minute walk.

This place is close to every activity on the island. With accommodating host, 6 of my friends enjoyed our stay. The balcony is so relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely be back.

Had a great stay here. even added another night to fit in more adventures. Friendly staff and great rooms. Lack of A/C did not matter much as the fans in the room were great. Front desk has all the information about where to go and what to do locally. I recommend renting a snorkel and hitting the beach which is full of corals, fish and turtles. Backpackers lodge is a 1 min walk to the beach.

***Bring very very good ear plugs*** -Very loud roosters that started at 2am till 10am every night for 9 nights. -Loud kids inside the hostel that start playing and yelling 7:30. None of the staff seem to care. -Dogs and cats fighting early moring, but normally drown out by the roosters. We stayed in the privet ensuite and the room itself was great. Lots of room and a nice little balcony. Overall amazing price for what we got. The other people we met did not seem to enjoy the dorms as much.

The location is great, and the place is clean. It's a bit crammed and you have no privacy as there are only sheet bug nets on your bed. There isn't a big common space for the guests to socially and the space that there is, is usually occupied by the ones that work there. The staff is very helpful, friendly and nice.

We had a private room. The bed was nicely covered by a mosquito net and we had no trouble with it. Fans in the room made it fairly pleasant at night, though if you're a couple it will probably be uncomfortable. The private bathroom was clean when we arrived but the room could have used a more thorough sweeping. The Wi-Fi is almost useless, and the public bathrooms and dorms looked miserable - dirty and dingy. There is also nowhere to hang clothes to dry. The staff were friendly and helpful every time we interacted with them. We didn't spend any time hanging out here, just sleeping.

Great location but 1. You can't sleep because people drink all night upstairs and wake you up at the breakfast area on the morning 2. We were, during the first night, at in the dorm downstairs and each of us were stolen half of our money. We were upstairs at the time of the robbery and there was only the staff downstairs. Plus, a tourist would have steal everything not half of the money, and we got our cameras also at this time (which is apparently a trial for not being discovered). After we told the staff, they became very rude with us

We had a few tacos, which were actually quite nice! The Margarita was tasting very artificial and not good at all. The ladies behind the counter were lovely and fun. The place, however, needs a serious do-over. It looks dusty, dingy and dirty. It could be so much more! Big Plus: there are a few super cute cats about!

Had dinner and the food was ok, a little bland but not bad. Breakfast was much better. The Farmers omelette was amazing!! We will definitely be back for breakfast since you can order it all day!!! Prices are good considering the location. They only accept cash.

We had dinner at this restaurant when we had our vacation this August 2025. The food was tasty. The staff was accommodating and the ambiance was relaxing. Nice restaurant to try when you are in this area.

Really calm atmosphere here with soft music that we enjoyed. We ate here two times and the french breakfast and banana shake were really nice! The margerita pizza, pasta alfredo and chicken pita were okey/good. The service is great and the staff is nice. You also get free service water.

Would be helpful to train staff to scan their tables, periodically make contact and ask if anything is missing. It seemed that everyone last night was trying to get the staff’s attention, half full restaurant. A top 5 go to place in Moalboal. 4.0 average is not realistic here, it’s a really nice environment, very good food. Delicious pizza, lasagna, and shrimp dish. Breakfast is great too. Great Chef’s Salad and Lumpia. 5 Stars!

Great chill place, love the pizza here especially Boss Pizza. Other favorites are also the sweet and sour fish, basil & coconut milk chicken, schnitzel with fries, and tuna spaghetti. Generous portions and good value for money. My kids love the banana split. There is a great separate seating area by the cliff overlooking the sea. The owners are super friendly. 👌🏽

Amazing and authentic Filipino food, the servers were really friendly and nice❤️ I got the Fish Paksiw Sa Gata for the first time, I was worried it was too sour to my liking but the waitress offered me a free taste test before. So it was truly amazing!! They have other dishes available that are inclusive to different cuisines and dietary restrictions👍🏼 We got a free shot too from supporting them🥂, highly recommend to people!☺️

It was the best restaurant we've been to in Moalboal. It's upstairs which is a nice change away from the loud scooters. Lots of food options and cuisines especially Filipino food. Mango Float for dessert is a must!

We were seated in the no footwear zone, apparently, directed there by the waiter who just said over there and pointed in a general direction. No problem. Took off our slippers and moved along. The appetisers were okay, the chili fries were low on fries and to much chili. But okay on flavour, not too spicy. The pork afritada was mediocre at best, dry bits of pork, store bought carrots and potatoes, flavour was decent at best. The beef rendang was worse, there was too much tamarind or the spices were burned when the paste was made. Acidic and not appealing, small blocks of beef, no substance or notice of a braced beef. Disappointing after all the positive reviews. Tourist trap? No. Just a mediocre joint.

Food was subperb! The pricing was quite fair and serving was more than sufficient. We should have asked about the recommended serving size for each order, as we each ordered individually. However, it turns out that one order is sufficient for two people, leading to some leftovers.

I went there together with my fiance for our last day in Philippines, Moalboal. By the lack of places with a good sea view we chose to come to this place. This is the place you want to go to MAINLY for the view. The price I paid for the food is because of the view. The food itself is nothing special. We ordered spicy shrimps in coconut cream and chicken fillet in oyster sauce (both with rice). I had an impression that they have only one chef or one stove top, because my fiances dish arrived some 15 minutes after mine. It arrived with cold rice (had to ask to change it), and my shrimps (which I paid 370 pisos for) had heads and tails - so half of the dish you can't really eat. And oyster sauce chicken "fillet" was just a bunch of chicken chunks. The taste was okay, but not something special. We came there for the view after all....good thing I had 0.5L beer. They didn't bring us napkins as well. Overall - I though it would be a better place. Not really worth it. Just to grab some drinks and eat some stuff to enjoy the view with.

This is a good spot to swim with the sardines and if you're lucky meet a sea turtle. There's no additional fee to swim as long as you order food at the restaurant. The restaurant is located exactly by and facing the water. We had the mango shake and I was jot very impressed. I don't like that it has milk and sugar added to it, I can barely taste the mango. Their jalapeño sausage pizza was good. It's thin crust, has a bit of kick and had generous toppings. Their seafood penne pasta was the highlight of our meal. It was well seasoned, the pasta was cooked al dente, lots of large mussels too. They accept card payments and Gcash which makes it convenient. They also have designated parking for customers.

It seems the name has changed but the food and the view and the ambience are great. Quiet tonight but service was a tad slow only because one man was taking care of all customers and he did a great job!y Pizza was very good homemade thin crust too.

Average food but the service and speed from the kitchen was shocking. Lovely view of the sea if you can get a table too, but they’re all fully booked in advance (at 10am) for all the tours. Huge group bookings. It took 45 minutes from the point of ordering to receive food and that was with my guide (I had a private guide and a driver waiting) pushing the kitchen! The staff just don’t care and I struggled to get any info from the staff, not speaking cebuano myself. The food, just a single dish ordered. Absolutely passable for 220 PHP.
