Flea & Street Markets
SaveOne Night Market is a vibrant and bustling market, offering an array of vendors selling clothes, shoes, sunglasses, T-shirts and bags at affordable prices. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting for families and couples but may not be suitable for business purposes. The food options are delicious with a wide range of popular Thai dishes available that are well presented. Although the cleanliness is acceptable and Geal alcohol is provided, visitors should note that some of the toilets require payment per person per visit.
Overall a nice place to eat. Free shuttle buggy ride from entrance to food center. After your meal a wide area for you to burn the extra fat. More like street shopping. Check weather condition before going there. Required few trips there to really covered all the whole ground. Monster size area
Royal S — Google review
A great night market with variety of cheap street foods, mostly Thai local here and it is better if you can speak a little of Thai to communicate with the vendors here. There is a place for you to sit down and enjoy your food, and usually people here will clean the table after finish eating. There is a section of the market is selling clothes, which is quite cheap as well.
Hammer H — Google review
The biggest & best night market in this part of Thailand. Acres of vendors selling clothing, accessories, bags, shoes, toys, beauty products. A whole section just for food so there's plenty variety for eating here too, a great place with lots action
Rob N — Google review
Big night market in Nahkon Ratchasima. There were 2 food sections and then rows of stalls set up at the gigantic carpark. Perfect place to spend the evening at.
Wilson Y — Google review
A cheap food shopping spot in Korat (night market), with prices ranging from 10 to 200 baht. It sells a variety of traditional Thai foods and durian. Halal food is easily found. There's plenty of seating so you can enjoy your food right away.
Angga R — Google review
Love this market, it's huuuuuge! You have plenty of options for clothes, things and food! I think I could spend many many many hours here for sure! It's mostly local people and I love that too:)

Shopping mall
The Mall Korat is a popular destination in Thailand, especially for sushi lovers. Kansei Sushi offers a wide variety of affordable and delicious sushi options. Despite being one of the older malls in Korat, it remains well-maintained with plenty of shops and parking. Visitors can enjoy the great food court or dine at restaurants on the top floor. The mall also features a water park and free parking for the first two hours.
Very good mall with many floors and lots to see and do. From shopping, to eating, to the big cinema complex, to playing arcade............massive place. Nice that they employ security to open doors for the customers. A classy touch.
Rob N — Google review
Not as impressive as Terminal 21 but still very beautiful inside and also very very big. Nice food court and a huge variety of shops. Whatever you want or need you will definitely be able to find it here. Worth a visit and only 15-20 minutes walking distance from Terminal 21 or the train station. By the way their arcade is bigger and better than the one in Terminal in my opinion
Kasper H — Google review
Similar to most shopping malls in design and operation but somehow seemed to have a wider range of products and even more products on display than some branches in the capital (BKK). Again, great space utilization without hindering the flow of shoppers in any direction. Car parking is free and located at basement, with entry points to the main store through automatic doors and escalators. Sliding doors are manned by security guards at all times. The doors are usually opened to the shoppers at precisely 10:00am (store opening time), so don’t be surprised to find people arriving early waiting by the door.
Husain ( — Google review
Sad to say there is no stylish close or high brand are here or even good copy of brands - nothing. All clothing department very simple so don’t expect something from this mall 3th floor is electronic but everywhere else same stores So particularly nothing special interesting just regular mall
Name F — Google review
Big, for me it is hard to find my way in here, about confused about the mall layout, plus maybe im old (42). But sometimes can find some bargains here from the floor market "tents".. it got something for everyone. This place has both expensive original stores and cheaper outlets.
Mikael J — Google review
The big mall of Korat. The location is beside of Mitraphap road. The mall available for water park. The restaurant inside have many type of food such as Chinese, Korea, Japan and English style. The parking is so good that free of charge for the first 2 hour (please check the condition).
Wantana P — Google review
Massive shopping centre. Very modern and clean. Lots of parking and helpful attendants. Luxury and normal shops with plenty of restaurants. A pleasant shopping experience
G G — Google review
the oldest shopping center in korat but surprisingly it has most people visiting the place. the selection of shops is mostly on the lower price range that probably explain the crowd.

State park
Suan Rak Park, also known as Phimai Historical Park, is a must-visit destination in Korat. Located in the serene town of Phimai, this park features a magnificent Khmer temple complex reminiscent of Cambodia's famous Angkor Wat. Visitors can explore the rich history and architecture while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings. The park is also a popular spot for prayer and paying merit to YaMo, with various activities held throughout the year.
It's definitely worth visiting and paying respect to Lady (grandma) Mo. Although very busy at both times of visit (day and night), the atmosphere felt calm. Very clean and well managed area.

There were a few attractions there. On my first night there was a live concert and market. I don't know if this is a regular occurrence or I was just lucky. Colourful Korat.

The Thao Suranari (Ya Mo) Monument, located in Nakhon Ratchasima, is a significant landmark honoring Thao Suranari, also known as Ya Mo. She played a crucial role in the city's history during the Siamese-Laotian War in the 19th century. The monument features an impressive bronze statue surrounded by ornate gates and a reflecting pool.
Historic Heroine Moniment. Highly recommend to walk around and experience local cultures.

A revered place for Thai people to celebrate a warrior woman who protected Korat from Lao invaders.
Sean O — Google review
A nice area, set by the historic city moat and reconstructed West Gate of possible 17th century origin under King Narai the Great. An elegant modern statue of the celebrated Governor's wife under HM King Rama III, credited with a saviour's role in thwarting Anouvong's invasion 200 years ago. The events doomed the Vientiane Laotian kingdom as a last vestige of Laan Sang on the Korat Plateau and cemented Isaan into Siam, for which it has much to be thankful.

Interesting monument. It will be very crowded since it fits right on the street. Parking is almost difficult to do it's better to use a taxi to the monument and dropping you off and picking you up after you finish business way with Ya Mo. Bung Ta Lua Park is a spacious and picturesque park in the city, featuring jogging and cycling trails that surround a large lake surrounded by trees. The area offers some simple cafes and food stalls, as well as an enjoyable walk or bike ride around the 3.3km loop trail. Visitors can also canoe on the lake or enjoy fresh coconut drinks and freshly cut fruit along their journey.
3Km trail on the periphery of a large water storage for running, walking and cycling. Amazing experience to run under fresh air. The park is accessible through many entries and you can find fruit seller and food vendors all across the trail. Superb 🏃
VIPUL J — Google review
I came here the first time that I was in Korat and really liked it. So this time, I rented a room in a hotel across the road so that I could just walk over and enjoy the facilities. There are walking and cycling tracks around the lake as well as a coffee shop, some vendors, exercise equipment and paddle boats. It is very busy in the evening. My only complaint was that the entry gates along the adjoining main road were locked most of the times when I wanted to access the park. My hotel was situated between the 2 main entrances which necessitated navigating a small footpath encumbered by many trees. Somewhat dangerous. If you are climbing the observation tower, watch your head. I am only short and I whacked my head on a platform over the steep stairs. I am very pleased that places like this are set aside for people to enjoy.
Tony G — Google review
This park is a vital part of our Korat experience. Every day, usually morning and evening, we walk and jog on the paved path around the man-made lake. It is remarkable to see a community exercising together. Nice views.

Beautiful and relaxing park in the heart of Korat! Perfect for jogging, cycling, or just enjoying the lake views. You can rent a kayak, grab a coffee by the water, or chill at sunset. Free entry, clean, and peaceful — a great place to rest, exercise, or spend time with family. Highly recommended!

Traveled to view the park. A nice place except the exercise area should be better equipped for users to warm up. Thai people are health conscious and is a good sign Understand the distance is approximate 3.2 km Nice place for the young and elderly to spend an hour or two in the park.

Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo, also known as Korat Zoo, is a spacious 218-acre zoo that houses a wide variety of African animals. In addition to the animals, visitors can explore the reptile house and children's zoo while enjoying the beautiful gardens. The zoo also features a water park for those looking to cool off in the hot weather. Guests have several transportation options available to them including renting bikes or golf carts or taking a bus tour around the zoo.
Using The bikes and go carts makes it a positive place to visit if you keep at a healthy pace. More expensive for tourists. The money seems to go to good use in support of what looks like a zoo that's bettering itself. Since there were renovations happening. The building with A/C few and far in-between. The deer seem to have the run of the place and make sure to keep your camera ready at the bird exhibit, I walked through the wood walkway with the sun shining through the green translucent roof while it wasn't busy. As I walked I had birds flying past this corridor at head height. The green tint aura and the brightly colored birds would make it an awesome photo opportunity.

Sizzler - The Mall Korat is a beloved casual dining chain that has made a name for itself with its delicious steak, seafood, and an impressive salad bar. Diners can indulge in a wide array of options, including fresh salads and soups that are perfect for those who love to fill up before the main course arrives. Many visitors appreciate the value offered during weekdays when prices are lower compared to weekends.
Not my first visit but am I imagining that the service and staff have improved. My wife and I both had a meal from the menu plus the salad bar and water to drink and I must say I was very happy with the 600baht price. For once I had a decent portion of chips on my plate and that is rare in my area of Thailand I can assure you. A really good visit 🙏

I love the authentic japanese styled atmosphere. Lots of menu to choose from ranging from set menus, noodles, small bites for eating with alcohol. Tasted average. Overall, a good choice for Japanese homey food at Korat.

One of the better chicken katsu curries I’ve had in a long time. The food is fresh and with a good portion size. The restaurant has an authentic aesthetic & vibe and great for both solo and social dinners. The customer service is great and a little appetiser is provided with the food. Well worth the price. I came here for both of my last two dinners in Nakhon Ratchasima and would highly recommend to others.
Paulius J — Google review
I took the oden set for menu price 480 plus VAT 34 or 514 baht total. The set included miso soup, chawanmushi, kimchi, potato salad, steamed rice, oden and watermelon. I would say the portion size was fit for a sumo wrestler. The meal surely included more calories than I typically consume in a day and maybe two days. I felt stuffed for at least eight hours after finishing it. Eating this meal was an act of gluttony.

Day 2

North side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Terminal 21 Korat, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to MK Tesco Lotus Korat. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Terminal 21 Korat is a remarkable shopping and dining destination nestled in the heart of Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat. This unique mall captures the essence of an airport terminal, with each floor themed after different global destinations, creating an immersive experience for visitors. The interior design is not only glamorous but also meticulously maintained, providing a comfortable environment for shoppers and diners alike.
I really enjoy this mall purely from the pleasure of walking around the world as I shop. It’s well designed and easy to navigate, but there are too many ice cream and coffee shops for me because I’m addicted to them!

Interesting shopping mall that would not be out of place in Bangkok. Great range of shops and some interesting decorations depicting the various locations. I particularly liked the bronze effect figurines which depict characters you may find at various places.
Kevin G — Google review
A proper mall in the heart of Korat. You may not find many brands like Nike, Adidas, Pull&Bear and Sony. But the H&M is nice, you have a Peak bball flagship store, food court is solid, and the vibe is great.

Very cool place, every floor has its own country theme, i think it was 7 floors, we visited England, France, Turkey, Japan.. didnt have time for last to floors. Dont know what themes they was.

In my humble opinion I actually this Terminal 21 is the best and most decorative in Thailand. They still got the same theme of course but this one just has more stunning interior. Absolutely a must see shopping mall in Nakhon Ratchasima. They food court is also good, cheap and very big. Will recommend eating here

Nestled in the northeastern part of downtown Korat, Wat Sala Loi is a serene Buddhist temple that beautifully blends spirituality with stunning architecture. Established in 1827 by the renowned Thao Suranari and her husband, this temple features an impressive assembly hall shaped like a boat gliding over waves, showcasing traditional Thai design. After undergoing significant renovations in 1973, it was honored as the best avant-garde religious building by the Siam Architects Society.
Well, the temple is located on the road encircling the old city moat, was jointly constructed in 1827 by Thao Suranari and her husband, the deputy governor of Nakhon Ratchasima. The temple’s ordination hall (Ubosot) received accolades for pioneering religious architecture from the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, and from the Sathirakoses-Nagapradipa Foundation in 1973. So like you can guess its worth a visit.

A mini temple wonderland. Lots of Buddhist temples, statues and deities to see, and worship if you are so inclined. I went during a Buddhist holiday so the place was very busy with worshipers. Nestled near the Wat Boon Temple in Nakhon Ratchasima, the Wat Boon Night Market is a vibrant and bustling night market that offers an array of culinary delights and local craftsmanship. This popular destination, located within the old city walls, attracts both locals and tourists with its lively atmosphere. Visitors can explore a wide range of food stalls offering delicious options such as sausage, pad Thai, Thai rice cakes, and refreshing beer from nearby shops.
I recommend you to visit the market after 6.30 pm. I went a bit early and waited until the foods and vendors were ready. The market has a lot of foods and desserts.

Great if you’re close to this standard opener, market, smaller and size than many not many places to sit standard selection of items by places, like save one or much larger and have a lot more merchandise. This is good if it’s close to home, I would travel very far though.

Traditional market
The 100 Years Meang Ya Market is a charming food market that has been around for a century. It offers a variety of delicious meals and also features displays of old antiques. The market is known for its terrific Thai treats, fantastic farang food, and friendly service, making it a great spot for an early evening dining experience.
I lived near the place a year. Super nice food court with beautiful decor to eat at night. It opens around 5-6 pm until midnight. Burger Queen Nancy sells tacos and others. I am a fan of the fried fish with salt coat on BBQ. You get a nice fish at 180 baht and will have a great Thai dinner for 2 people. Super cool place, they sell beer at local price, football nights are popular and lots of different snacks or Thai food.
John S — Google review
This food court has large variety of separate kichens that dish out lots of nice servings of local cultural foods. There is a displayed bomb in the middle which adds a hint of history right here
Rob N — Google review
Terrific Thai treats, fantastic farang food and friendly service, equaled a great early evening dining and drinking experience at Korat's popular 100 year market. We choose the crispy chicken burritos with crinkle cit chips, spicy barbecue BBQ sauce from the Burger Queen and super delicious, indeed. Washed down with several icy cold Change Classic Beers, bought to our tables by a couple of lovely servers. Plenty of variety, comfortable seating and the people watching opportunities abound. All in all, it was a great call to dine in at this hawker centre and I will 100% be back (see my YouTube vlog), to the 100 year market.

It looks like it has been there for 100 years, sprawling and half of it empty, dirty although you can get some traditional dishes there, and fresh fruits and vegetables, traditional Thai desserts along the perimeter. Nearby however are many other shops to fill the gaps

MK Tesco Lotus Korat is a fantastic shopping destination located conveniently on a major highway, making it easily accessible for both locals and travelers. This modern superstore offers a wide range of products, from groceries to household items, clothing, and sports equipment. While the selection is impressive, it's worth noting that specialty or imported goods may be limited. The store features various amenities including clean restrooms and an array of smaller shops nearby that enhance the shopping experience.

While the food selection may be somewhat limited at times, highlights include their sensational Fried Chicken Salad with Japanese dressing and a variety of delectable cakes.
Good coffee, lovely smiling service, bright spacious area. Salad of 4 ingredients (OK, plus vignagrette) a little disappointing but lovely and fresh. Muted music, it's obviously a nice lunch and chat venue. Update.....I returned and tried the Fried Chicken Salad with Japanese dressing. Pidaso Italian Restaurant offers a charming ambiance with its tasteful decor and an enticing menu primarily focused on Italian cuisine, complemented by some Japanese options. Guests can explore a dedicated wine room to select the perfect pairing for their meal. While the service is predominantly in Thai, this shouldn't deter international visitors who are prepared with a translator or know what they want.

Nice little spot with a good atmosphere, featuring both Italian and Japanese dishes. The food itself is tasty, but the service is quite slow. We waited nearly two hours for a tomahawk steak, even though there was only one other table. Ideal for diners who aren't in a hurry.

It's a well decorated location with a good menu. The menu is mostly Italian and there is a wine room to visit and choose from. The restaurant targets foreign customers but the service only speaks Thai - which is not much of an issue if you know what you want and can handle a translator.

Swiss restaurant
Chez Andy Swiss Restaurant & Steak House is a European restaurant with a full bar, offering German beers and a good wine selection. The dining options include an air-conditioned room and a roofed beer garden. The menu features authentic Swiss dishes like fondue, as well as Australian ribeye, tenderloin, lamb, duck, pork chops, imported cheese, salami, sausage, fresh bread, salads, pizza and house-made gnocchi.
Top notch. Amazing server steered us in all the right directions. I came for a steak for my birthday. Local water buffalo steak? Ok, I’ll try it. I saw hash browns on another menu item. What I really wanted…some good hash browns. Can I get that as a side? No prob. Later I decided I’d love a fried egg on top of the hash browns. My god what a birthday. The Caesar salad was super yummy with impeccably fresh ingredients. I’m not one of these high falutin’ salad eaters but I can’t imagine a better Caesar dressing. Haven’t gotten the bill yet but I’m not great with math so I’m sure it will be fine.

My most favourite Western restaurant in Korat!!! This restaurant serves Swiss, German and Italian dishes. They really know how to make them all authentic enough yet flavourful to locals. Try their best ever Beef Tartare. Even surpassed those high profile places in Bangkok with almost half the price. Swiss cheese salad was so good and the portion is for 2+ persons. The buffalo tenderloin was also terrific. No smell and very tender, cook to perfection. Every time I come to this place, I never have my belly space left for dessert but they do have vast choice of them and great bar too. Not to miss when you're in Korat.
Taspol J — Google review
Visiting the city for some volleyball and needed sustenance. Reading the reviews of restaurants in the area and chose Chez Andy’s and what a delight. Everything was tasty as can be. Yellow pea soup was delicious and my gnocchi was fantastic. For being out on the provinces this restaurant is a beacon of tasty wonderfulness.
Jamie L — Google review
For the price? No. No detectible chicken in cordon bleu, deli meat ham and cheese , fried flat (not rolled even)in schnitzel style, there is nothing authentic about the dishes here the bread tasted store-bought. The bread was OK but for the price save your money. This is not true to form for the western food prop reports to represent at least for the dishes I had. The menu is unwieldy and overwhelming. There’s no way you make all these things well without a number of all the premade components way over priced for the quality of the food potatoes were greasy and not flavorful. pasta was OK. Save your money.
Tony H — Google review
It was a bit difficult to find the restaurant but the food was quick, fresh, and in general delicious. The spatzle was somewhat dry but they immediately cooked us a new one. The SERVICE was AMAZING, cared so much whether we enjoyed our food or not. When asked about each dish, the manager ( in the vdo) explained everything in detail so well.
Jewy — Google review
I love their pizza crust. Pasta was a bit too bland, and the fettuccine wasn’t aldante. Beef tenderloin was good appropriate with the price. My favorite was actually their stir-fried potato side dish, it was flavorful!

First impression when I first came here is the decoration, it reminds me of the time I traveled to Switzerland. The chef is friendly and staff service is good. What caught my intention the most was the food in terms of smell, decoration, quality, and taste. I have nothing to complain about as it’s just so delicious and savory. Personally, I think it is worth the price. I would definitely come back again and recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to try European cuisine.
