Wat Phumin is a centuries-old temple in Nan, Thailand, known for its striking red-and-black pillars, Buddha statues, and intricate murals depicting everyday life. The town of Nan boasts several important temple sites and historical landmarks such as the Nan National Museum, Wat Suan Tan, and Pha Toob Arboretum. Visitors can immerse themselves in the region's rich history at the museum and explore stunning landscapes at Doi Phu Kha National Park.
A must visit temple in Nan city. It’s a historical temple but I don’t have much time to study about it. Easy to access and has car park across the road.

The must-see of nan. Probably a place you should visit if you're into cultural or historical or even spiritual sight seeing. It's not super busy and across the street you can get on a tram tour to see the city.
The S — Google review
Amazing Wat Phumin. If you arrived there this place is not too huge but you can walk around every where and many interesting areas such as museums and temples around. Spend a few more hours to embrace the local famous areas. Lovely city.

Center of Nan. Walking Street is also located on the same street as this temple. Beautiful painting and well maintained. Highly recommend if you visit Nan!

The paintings in Wat Phra Phimai in Nan Province are believed to date back to the late 19th century to early 20th century, during the Rattanakosin period of Thai history. These murals reflect traditional Lanna and Tai Lü artistic styles, which are prominent in the Nan region. Features of the Murals: 1. Stories Depicted: The murals primarily portray scenes from the Jataka tales (stories of the Buddha’s previous lives) and local interpretations of Buddhist cosmology. 2. Artistic Style: The artwork is characterized by the Lanna style, with rich, earthy tones and intricate details. This style blends religious symbolism with elements of daily life, showcasing the cultural and spiritual values of the period. 3. Preservation: While some parts of the paintings have deteriorated over time, efforts have been made to preserve them due to their historical and artistic characteristics.

Buddhist Temple of Nan Province in Thailand. It is beautiful.

War Phumin is famous for the painting of a man and a woman whispering love.
BangkokSachse B — Google review
Wat Phumin has Nan’s famous wall painting of whispering couple, hence, also known as the temple of whispering lovers. We were lucky to have two young girls explaining in their native language about the history of the temple. The unique architecture of the temple gives the feeling that the entire temple is riding the back of two giant dragons (nagas). Locals believe that if a couple would like to have a long lasting couple life, they got to come in front of this famous work of art and pay homage to the Buddha image.

Wat Si Phan Ton is a magnificent golden temple that captivates visitors with its stunning interior. The huge mural inside the entrance depicts vivid scenes of life in the past, showcasing men, women, kids, monks, warriors, and hunters engaged in various activities within the city walls and surrounding landscape. Despite the impressive artwork, some find the presence of floodlights at the center of the murals to be distracting.
Golden temple of Nan! The Naga dragon sculpture was way too stunning! The was a monk when I visited the temple. You may ask the monk to chant your amulet and may get blessing from the monk. Just make sure to do some merit after that.
Wei L — Google review
The outer apperance kinda make me expect the details that goes into the temple. However the etails on the painting were not really finely craft and there arent much to do except enjoying the main building. I'd say drop by if you have time, but if your schedule is pack then you can also skip this place
MJS P — Google review
Wat Si Phan Ton in Nan stands out with its fully golden ordination hall that gleams beautifully in the sunlight. The intricate stucco designs reflect Lanna artistry and deep local faith. Peaceful and serene, it’s perfect for prayer, meditation, and cultural appreciation.
Nisit T — Google review
Interesting, less well visited wat. Worth a visit for the fantastic paintings in the main temple. Wat Si Phan Ton is believed to date back to the early days of the Lanna Kingdom’s influence in Nan. it was built to serve as a community temple for locals during a period when Nan was an important cultural and trade center. WAT SRIPANTON This temple has been built during 1960 - 1969 C.E. Period under the patronage of Phrayapanton - the ruler of Nan Kingdom of Phuka Dynasty. Wat Sripanton was previously called Wat Saleepanton; The word "Salee" means The Bhodi tree. In the past there was a big Bhodi tree located on the North an South of the temple. Now the two trees Were cut off for constructing the road. Wat Sripanton was accepted as an official temple and ceremony of Thailand on 2505 B.E..

Visit 29/3/2019. Great Wat to visit. I usually don't like single colour Temples but the gold really sets this off. Inside you can view the artwork paintings on the walls.

The wood carving art at Sri Pan Ton Temple is magnificent. The glittering golden temple is located on the crossroads at the main tourist attractions in the heart of Nan province. It's worth a visit.

The temple is decorated with gold colour. The decoration is splendid. The mural inside the temple tells the story of Nan. This temple is in a walking distance from the city pilar. Take your time to admire the delicacy of the art.
Nadharatch O — Google review
The setting is not great as it is on the corner of a busy intersection but Wat Sri Panthon is a must see when in the city of Nan. The detail of the carvings is amazing. If you cannot be in Nan during the long boat races, you can see some of them in this temple.

Wat Phra That Khao Noi, a 15th-century temple in Nan, is renowned for its stunning sunset views and houses a tall golden walking Buddha statue. This ancient sanctuary, built during the reign of Chaopu Khaeng in 1487, holds relics including the Buddha's hair. Perched atop the mountain of the same name, it offers panoramic vistas of Nan and features an impressive nine-meter-high Buddha statue.
Currently the standing Buddha still under renovation. Iconic hilltop temple at Nan . Nov 2024

Serene temple on hill. You may drive up to the temple or park your car and climb up the stairs. I suggest to take the stairs as you’ll experience different vibes and work out as well. Just a little bit upset as the Buddha statue was under maintenance when I visited the temple. You can enjoy the view of Nan city from here. Suggest to visit here around sunset time as you can take stunning photos. The Chedi is beautiful.

Definitely worth the climb for the amazing view at the top and a very peaceful temple

Always a great Wat to visit. This is especially so if you are a photographer. The golden Buddha is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset.. The Buddha with the vista of Nan in the background is stunning. Allow plenty of time before and after the sunset/sunrise as the sky color changes just keep on giving. Also look at all the other beautiful structures in the precincts of the Wat. Highly recommend a visit.
Steve K — Google review
Just a short drive up the hill from the main road. Good view of Nan from the top.
Elie T — Google review
the temple is located at the top of a hill to the west of the city (about 7 minutes and 3.2km from Nan National Museum).  Very nice view of the valley and the city.  As the view is to the east, the best time is to come in the late afternoon.  Access by car with parking at the top but it is also possible to stop halfway up the hill and climb the stairs for the more athletic.  We arrived around 5:30 p.m. and the sun was already very low in the west with low light over the valley.
Richard — Google review
No luck on me. I’ve to this place many times and the view point is good. You can see Nan city and stunning Buddha statue together. This time it was raining like crazy. I couldn’t see anything but still enjoying the scenery. Don’t forget to take the stairs. You will tried for sure but it absolutely worth it to slow enjoy the journey and rewarded by stunning view.

Wat Ming Mueang, a small but unique white temple in Thailand, has undergone significant remodeling in recent decades. The detailed architecture and interior decorations, including sculptures and wall murals, make it a sight to behold. The main temple houses a revered Buddha image and the golden city pillar is located at the front. While photography inside is restricted, the exterior offers plenty of beautiful buildings and sculptures to admire and capture through your lens.
I would consider this as white temple of Nan. What’s special about this temple is that you can buy flower and colourful clothe to tie on the holy pillar. The colour of clothe is depends on the day you were born. There was a description at the counter.
Wei L — Google review
This is where the city pillar located, the temple is decorated in white, and the structure is hugely amazing, all the status and surrounding are painted in white. We visited in the late afternoon, the temple has car parking area for free, many people come by to worship the Buddha then walk down to the streets to visit the close by area. Nice 👍

Beautiful Temple, near the city-center of Nan. The Temple grounds are not large, however, it is the different buildings and the intricate detail found inside, and outside, that are particularly interesting, and quite beautiful. Though small, it is very beautiful and, when set against the deep blue sky of Nan in its temperate weather, it is a very enriching cultural experience.
David R — Google review
We came here to visit with friends on our way to the Airport after spending some time up in the mountains with them - this temple is beautiful. The lady thought we are coming to pray so she started trying to give us envelopes for donations and all, but since we understood Thai, we just told her we are visiting only and then all was good. There's so many beautiful buildings and sculptures here to check out and its definitely worth a visit!

small but a unique WHITE TEMPLE, very few in Thailand. it went through serious remodelling in recent decades, all the architectures were incredibly detailed, from outside to inside were nicely decorated with sculptures and wall murals. the golden city pillar was also located at the front of the main temple. inside the temple, the Buddha image was the highlight, the entire setting was a piece of respected and a beautiful religious art.
Ernest T — Google review
Right in the town centre, with an unprepossessing entrance, it might be easy to walk straight past. Reminiscent of the White Temple in Chiang Rai, the ornate interior is outstanding. Overall, very compact site, but make sure you don't miss it.

What a splendid architecture and craftsmanship! It's worth a visit, worth spending time exploring the beauty of art and culture of Northern Thailand that is often associated with Buddhism.

Wat Phra That Chae Haeng is a revered 14th-century Buddhist temple located on a mound on the eastern side of the Nan River. It was built to enshrine 7 Buddha relics and is considered one of Nan's most sacred religious sites. The temple features a large golden pagoda and holds historical significance, showcasing the enduring connection between Nan and Sukhothai.
This is iconic temple in Nan. A lot of Thai people travel and show their respect to Budism. This is special temple for a person who is born in Year of the Rabbit, Chinese zodiac! The temple is very paceful and beautiful. It is not far from the city center. Highly recommend to visit this place :)

Such beautiful and magnificent piece of artwork with a fantastic geographical location. Noticed continuous influx of visitors who quickly hop in, pay their respects and leave very quickly. Most visitors, if not all, take selfies and photos at the main entrance (open gate) to the temple. Car parking is available and free. Many shops around the temple offer visitors a variety of products ranging from clothing, souvenirs, lottery tickets, Silverware, food and drinks and many other things. Very beautiful, spacious, peaceful and serene. It is in immaculate condition for a 14th century temple. Must visit if nearby.

Located on a hill just across the Nan River from the city of Nan, Wat Phra That Chae Haeng is one of the most important and revered temples in Northern Thailand. This sacred site, believed to be over 600 years old, houses a relic of the Buddha and is considered the spiritual heart of Nan Province. The highlight of the temple is its stunning golden chedi (stupa), built in the classic Lanna style, which glows beautifully in the sunlight and can be seen from afar. The peaceful atmosphere, intricate architecture, and surrounding trees make it a perfect place for quiet reflection or cultural exploration. The temple complex also features a beautifully restored viharn (prayer hall), ancient Buddha images, and murals depicting local legends. Locals often come to make merit, and visitors are welcome to respectfully observe or participate.

A lot of Thai people come here to prey. As usual temple is good. You will find a big lying Buddha inside the temple. Some rabbit is the god here. Don't know about the history as most of the people can speak Thai only. Could have a bookstall in English for the myth of the temple.

Like many other reviewers said, its a big scenic place while you could take plenty of pictures to post on ur IG n Facebook. Haha. Foods and Beverages were average to be honest. However, the scenery is really good. U can even take pictures of the cows at the paddy field. For peoples with young kids, be careful with the walkway, its paths with woods, feel strong but not sure for how long. Anyway, do enjoy the visit and buy some snacks...

Hot Bread Restaurant is a fantastic dining establishment in Nan Province that offers exceptional cuisine prepared by delightful, warm-hearted ladies. During a four-day visit, patrons can enjoy their delectable lunch options such as mouthwatering sandwiches made with superb bread, available in both white and wholemeal varieties. For those seeking something heartier, the saag aloo curry with rice is an excellent choice; alternatively, one can opt for either Chapatti or pitta bread.
This is a great little restaurant with American style breakfast food, coffee, tea and smoothies. We chose eggs, pancakes, bacon & egg sandwich, and some traditional Thai food. Everything was well prepared and delicious. The staff were amazing and very friendly. They serve all day breakfast, so don’t worry about the meal time. We are coming back through this area, so we will stop again. They make their own bread, which is really good.

An excellent place for breakfast. Not inexpensive but the excellent food, with fresh baked bread and very good coffee make it worth it. One of the best breakfast cafes I have experienced in Thailand. Can be quite busy with a wait to be seated on weekends.

Burned Bread in stead of Hot Bread When you pretend to serve good quality bread, never serve burned (tasteless) bread from a toaster. Besides that, scrambled eggs should have a little bit salt when preparing it. It was amazingly tasteless as well. I am happy that I didn't try their coffee, that should be also a disaster. The orange juice was from a pack,.so they were not able to ruin this. Conclusion: just go to the 7Eleven next to it and have a decent sandwich over there. The quality there is consistent and better and much, much cheaper.

I wanted to visit the stall I went during my last visit years ago, across the street however I saw this stall bustling with people. My curiosity brings me here. Its a family owned business. You can see the resemblance. The owner's son, I presume, speaks good English. Quite a long queue. Ordered a mixture of beef and chicken for brunch. Hmm...goods and taste good. You need to add the side dish ingredients into the noodle. Taste of onion and lime would bring out the full flavor of Khaosoi. Cost is not pricey, mine is Baht80. Definitely worth visiting to have your fill.

OVO Salad is an indoor eatery in Nan that offers a variety of dishes including salads, spaghetti, and steaks. While some customers find the spaghetti lacking in flavor, the restaurant is highly recommended for its tasty and filling salads, making it a great option for vegetarians. The ambiance is relaxed and the service can be a bit slow at times. The food is well-presented, delicious, and reasonably priced.
An affordable salad and steak restaurant. The owner used to work as a survey team member for the Department of Lands. The salads are delicious, with a variety of dressings to choose from. The coffee is also excellent. There are various spaghetti and rice dishes available. The restaurant is decorated with old items, and there is a survey telescope on every table. The owner loves talismans and collects many Buddha images and sacred objects. If you talk to the owner about Buddha images, the conversation can be very long. Overall, if you like Western-style food, you should definitely visit. You won't be disappointed, and you'll be supporting a fellow Nan local.

Nice place. This was our first time there. We went to have lunch on my wife's birthday. Each had s salad and drink. I had a chicken salad which was large and very good. My wife had a tuna salad and her only complaint was that the tuna was in oil. Overall nice lunch. When we paid the check my wife noticed that my salad was 30 baht more than the price on the menu. When she asked the person at the counter about it, she was told that my dressing (Italian Balsamic) was an extra charge. No where on the menu does it indicate there is there an extra charge for balsamic dressing. It was just one of many options. I attached a photo of the salad dressing choices menu. Doesn't make sense. I'm not going to lose any sleep over 30 baht but beware, I'm guessing that was a 'farang' charge.

A good spot if you are craving western food with a dash of Thai touch. Cozy atmosphere. Decoration is tasteful with lots of interesting items all over the place. We ordered spaghetti with this spicy "Mala" sauce. It was a good choice. This is a BYOB restaurant with no corkage fees. The owners informed us that they cannot sell alcohol due to the proximity to a school. There is a 7-11 nearby.

Great music, clean washrooms and extremely hospitable staff, specially the man named Tua-big shoutout to him for explaining everything about the city, culture, food and more. Would definitely return again for a meal. Food felt cleaner and delicately made. Loved everything!

This place was recommended to me by a friend and I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. First the persons working there are courteous and smiling. Then the food was very good and you can feel the chef is experienced. The soft shell crab salad was absolutely delicious and the duck breast perfectly balanced. Definitely a place i will now recommend too.
JC V — Google review
The place looks like bar / restaurant , despite the looks, they delivers on the food. The curry crab is full of flavour and spicy. The soup and vegetables are well cooked and taste good . Nice place to dine in

I could say very delicious to this restaurant. All dishes were wonderful with good cooking. Thank you Chef for adapting the beef curry and made it tasty. I also liked fried mushroom and prawn with garlic. The staffs were very nice with service mind. I would come back for the next trip to Nan. PS. Craft soda was good.
Jetnapa T — Google review
I cannot say anything about the food. Except that the menu looks good. I just stopped in the afternoon to have a glass of wine. Something that’s not easy to find in Nan. They have several bottles. But by glass it’s only red. So I had a glass of Shiraz. The owner is very talkative and nice. Very interested in his customers. I will definitely be back next time and try their food. And a bottle of white wine.
Christian B — Google review
Very tasty restaurant with a diverse selection of western, Thai, and northern Thai dishes. Each dish has a unique taste and is well prepared. The entire meal was decently priced and very satisfying. The northern pork curry was particularly good as it was smooth and had a mix of flavors. The pasta was also delicious with cheesy texture.
Anuk Y — Google review
As Italian I cannot suggest pizza. The pasta was good is you don't mind the different taste of the tomato sauce here in Thailand. Excellent the quesadillas and very tasty the grilled pork chop as well the other Thai dishes. Good service and nice atmosphere.

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of downtown Nan, Café Sood Gong Dee offers a delightful escape along the banks of the serene Nan River. This charming café is surrounded by lush greenery that provides a refreshing shade from the sun, making it an ideal spot to unwind. The second-floor balcony presents breathtaking views of the river, perfect for those looking to soak in nature's beauty while sipping on their favorite beverages.
Great quiet spot for for coffee and craft beer among the trees. Also serves grilled dishes in the evenings. Make sure to bring a mosquito repellent.
Han — Google review
It is a in the forest cafe. The staff can understand a little bit English. Do not worry they have English menu as well. The most impressive place I guess it is on the second floor a small table surrounded by a bit tree which made you feel like you are sitting in the jungle. So very harmony between human and nature. Also the green milk tea is very good and rainbow cake with Passion fruit sauce is yummy and good looking. You can take lots of fresh style photos. Please take a rest at this interesting cafe.

Nice atmosphere. Very serene setting. Great view from the 2nd level overlooking the Nan River. We had coffee and the cold drinks were tasty. We also had an awesome dessert of honey bread, fruit and ice cream we all shared. I probably wouldn't recommend it for seniors on the 2nd level as the stairs are bit tough to climb for them. All in all, great hidden gem.
David B — Google review
A chill place 'tree cafe' good for drinks, but not really recommend for the food. This location has the river view that allows us to feel close to nature.
Sirinapha J — Google review
Very nice Cafè/Bistro/Bar. The coffee is great and if you like cake you should definitely try the chocolate cake. The rest of the drinks and cakes are good too. Great atmosphere and excellent service.
Dimitrios S — Google review
Tasty coffee, but 1 thing i ordered didn't come. Had a cake what was tasty but super small, plus all the garnish around the cake doesn't make the price fair. Also waited about an hour before we had everything. Nice view, big variety in drinks, (import beers) shakes and cakes. Plenty of places to sit.
Arie A — Google review
So relaxing atmosphere! I really enjoyed just to sit and chill by looking at Nan River view in front of the cafe. The coffee was good and the honey toasted was ok.

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Khun Sathan National Park. Not quite as popular as วัดภูมินทร์, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Nestled within the Sri Nan National Park, Doi Samer Dao is a popular camping site offering breathtaking views of the sunrise and night skies. Visitors can witness a stunning sea of mist that blankets the valley at dawn and explore the nature trail to Pha Hua Singh, also known as Lions Head Cliff, for panoramic vistas of the surrounding forests and river.
What an awesome campsite. We spent 3 nights here and did some really nice hiking. It's always good to arrive early so you can pick the best place to set up your tent. The only downside is quite old toilets and shower buildings.
Edv. — Google review
If you're looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature, with incredible sunrise and sunset views and a sky full of stars at night, Doi Samer Dao is a must-visit! It’s located inside Si Nan National Park in Nan Province, and it’s easy to reach by car. A short walk from the parking area takes you to the scenic viewpoint on top of the ridge. This spot is perfect for camping. If you don’t have your own tent, you can rent one from the park (around 300–400 THB). There are bathrooms and charging stations available, but no food stalls—so bring your own or order in advance. The air is cool and comfortable at night, with no city lights to block the stars. A dream for stargazers! The best part? Early in the morning, you’ll witness a sea of mist floating over the hills with golden sunlight peeking through. Totally worth waking up early!
Meaw M — Google review
It is amazing experience here. Camping, stargazing and sunrise. Unfortunately, when we come (mid-nov) the moon was showing-off and cloudy at midnight. When sunrise the fog came. But overall was good. If you rent tent here, please check first for any insect.
Bobby E — Google review
My first camping in Thailand. The place was clean and spacious. Public toilets were clean and they have charging stations, that’s a surplus! Rent a tent for 2 pax at 390 THB if I’m not wrong, it’s cheap!!! Before enter the park, you gonna have to buy ticket and pay for car park. It’s cheap tho, please don’t mind the price. It’s freezing cold at night and it rain on the night I stayed. Luckily the tent was water proof so I can sleep tight. Haha
Wei L — Google review
Arrived on 14/12/23 , A place to watch the sunrise and sunset in the same place. The atmosphere is very good. There is a breeze blowing. The park staff provide good service. The bathrooms are clean. Recommended.
LEW H — Google review
Another camping experience here, this place have special rules for car parks, you can unload your camping stuff near camping site, then you have to park your car at the parking area down hill. You can either rent a camp or bring your own, in the normal days, you will have to spend a bit of camping fee. There are restaurants delivery offered at the site, no need to worry about food. The view of stars at night and sunrise in the morning was stunning!
Cindy T — Google review
I can’t stop saying “Awesome” to this place, every spot my eyes see is so beautiful. The color of the grasses make me think of teletubbies 😂. It is truly relaxing and the view is stunning 🤩 After the rain, the clouds are just perfectly floating above this landscape. During rainy season this place is quite empty so I can enjoy the nature peacefully ☺️ This place is called “ Doi samer dao” because during winter at night you can see countless stars really close to you, as if this mountain as high as the same level as those stars ⭐️
Yosita K — Google review
We rented the tent for 2pax for 390thb. Didn't book anything. Came at 3pm they still have tent available. You can bring food to cook, there are so many items to rent for cooking. Come before sunset for the pretty view and wake up early at 5am to watch sunrise. So worth it! The toilet are clean too.

Khun Sathan National Park is a picturesque natural area in Na Noi district, renowned for its breathtaking scenery. Nestled amid verdant parkland, it boasts majestic mountains, meandering streams, and enchanting waterfalls. The landscape is further enhanced by a mesmerizing sea of fog that blankets the surrounding mountainsides during the rainy season from September to February. This bustling camping site offers basic amenities but lacks electricity at the campground.
It is very nice campground. You can see the sunrise easily. The place is clean and the shower room is good also with the hot water. There is one lovely coffee shop where you can sit and enjoy the view.

If you're here for the view and nature, this is one of my most recommended place to sleep overnight. I stayed in a hut overnight with nice bed and thick blankets for two. Waking up to sunrise and a sea of misty fog layed acrossed the land. They also have a cafe that you can have toast and coffee to warm you up.
Xyfen — Google review
Great place for camping, very well covered facility, but be careful of leeches when stepping on wet surface. Overall really good place for relaxing and enjoy the scenery. Cell service is working.
P F — Google review
Try not to go with motorbike 🏍️ the road was extremely slippery during rain, especially on the edge of the road. Me and my partner were had an accident but it wasn’t a bad one. Guys! I couldn’t see anything when I reached the viewpoints. It was drizzling all the time and a bit cold. I suggest you to not go up the pine tree viewpoint, crazy leech will suck your blood like hell. They are extremely difficult to get rid off from your feet. Anyway I am pretty sure this place will look a lot better during winter, the pink flowers still waiting to be seen next time. The staffs are really nice and helpful.
Yosita K — Google review
Peaceful National Park with nice camping areas and good bathrooms. Sadly, the forest has been denuded in many places and the lights from a couple of large towns are visible in the night. The tiny restaurant only cooks rice with omelette which is tasty. We had a pleasant night watching the stars move in the heavens.
Michael S — Google review
National Park at 1400 mt. Elevation with campground and facilities. Nice coffee shops as well. A 400 mt. hike will take you on the mountain top and you will be rewarded with a great view.
Aldo M — Google review
A very busy camping site. Doesn’t have electricity at the campground. It’s not allowed to cook near the tents too. There is a separate place for that. Pillows provided by the camp are not that comfortable. You can see the sunrise in the morning.

Night market
Nan Night Food Market, located in the heart of Nan, is a vibrant and lively weekend market offering a wide variety of local and traditional Thai cuisine. Surrounded by iconic landmarks such as the Nan River, Nan National Museum, Wat Ming Mueang, and Wat Phrathat Chang Kham Worawihan, this market comes alive with food vendors offering everything from local delicacies to classic Thai dishes.
Easily five star. As a Thai, i can say that this is the top tier night market in Thailand. I travel not that much, but every province i go i seeking for night market always. The market has a variety of stuff such as food, drinks (No alcohol) and souvenirs. Importantly, they have a place for chilling with your food or rest. The place is very clean. The people were so kind. Highly recommended if you come to Nan. You can park in the temple nearby, it's totally FREE!!
Jumma J — Google review
My favorite walking street in Thailand. Most products are locally made by the locals unlike some larger walking streets that sell stuff that is made elsewhere or in a factory. The market is not large but filled with food and local handcraft. The foods are mostly local northern style dishes and they are cheap and tasty. The market is clean and well organized with a seating area next to Wat Phumin for visitors to sit and eat properly. There is a public toilet nearby plus the temples next door turn on the light and open for night visits which make the whole experience even better. I would recommend staying in a nearby hotel and walking to the site instead of bringing the car. But you can park on a nearby street.

plenty of food and souvenir shop, You can buy food and walk. There is a sitting area in front of the temple. Recommend to come here close to the sunset time, view is very nice.

Awesome location! The market is surrounded by iconic places, many stunning temples. Those temple turn on their light which make them look so cool! The food is variety from local to a regular Thai food. It is a rainy season now so I don’t see a seat to enjoy my dinner but last year during winter, there are a dining spot where you can sit snd enjoy your food on a traditional wooden utensils ( Khan-toke).

Really good street food, the durians were pretty good too, no bad aftertaste, very fruity! They even have separate trash can for recycling purposes.

When i visited there was a big variety of food vendors, but what made it really nice is that there was a Thai classical dance competition going on, and many mats and tables were laid out so that you could enjoy the performances while eating.

Noodle shop
After a delightful buffet breakfast at the Nan Noble Guest House, I found myself wandering through the charming temples of town until around 2 PM. My adventure led me to a cozy Khao Soi Noodle Shop, where the enticing aroma of this Northern Thai specialty filled the air. Despite the menu being entirely in Thai, I was drawn in by their bold declaration that Khao Soi was their star dish.
Perfectly wonderful Khao Soi. Excellent, fast and very friendly service. 🙏🏾🎉 "The most delicious meal in the world is only 40 baht." 🤤🤤
