Hindu temple

Shakti Peeth Shri Chamunda Devi Temple is a Hindu temple complex located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Situated atop a hill and overlooking the Ban Ganga river, it is dedicated to Goddess Chamunda Devi, considered the Mother Goddess by locals and devotees from all over India. According to legend, she emerged from an eyebrow of Goddess Durga to defeat demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha.
A major Shaktipeeth, Shri Chamunda Devi Temple is an important pilgrimage destination, situated around 45 minutes drive from Dharamshala. We reached here by hiring a Suzuki Access scooty from Dharamshala and the road 🛣️ was a pleasure to ride on. This temple is huge when it comes to the area, with plenty of shops and open spaces to park your bike. There is a shoe deposit counter, which is really praiseworthy, because in most temples they don't have this system. During my visit, the main temple was undergoing renovation, but the Shiva temple was open. What fascinated me the most about this shaktipeeth was its small pond (with boating facility) and a river flowing next to it at rapid speed. This temple is really worth visiting and I enjoyed the overall experience.🙏🏻😇
Samrat C — Google review
Very peaceful and serene temple. Locals believe it to be one of Shakti Peeths, though the scriptures don't mention it, but has been given special status apparently. Conjoined with a beautiful Shiva temple downstairs, made under a unique rock cut.

Visiting **Maa Chamunda Devi Temple**, one of the most revered **Shakti Peethas** in India, was an extraordinary spiritual journey. Nestled in the scenic **Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh**, this ancient temple is dedicated to **Goddess Chamunda**, a fierce form of **Maa Durga**. The moment I stepped into the temple complex, I felt an overwhelming sense of divine energy and devotion. According to Hindu History, this is where the **goddess’s teeth (dant)** fell, making it one of the **51 Shakti Peethas**. The temple is named after **Chandi and Munda**, the demons slain by Maa Durga, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The powerful aura of the goddess is palpable, and devotees believe that sincere prayers here bring protection, strength, and fulfillment of wishes. The temple’s architecture is a blend of ancient and modern styles, with intricate carvings and a striking idol of **Maa Chamunda adorned with garlands and ornaments**. The rhythmic chants of **"Jai Maa Chamunda"**, the sound of temple bells, and the fragrance of incense create a deeply meditative atmosphere. The priests perform rituals with great devotion, enhancing the spiritual experience. Perched on a hilltop near **Palampur and Dharamshala**, the temple offers **panoramic views of the Dhauladhar ranges and the Baner River**. The peaceful surroundings, fresh mountain air, and the sound of flowing water add to the divine experience. The well-maintained premises and cleanliness make the visit even more pleasant. The temple is easily accessible by road from **Kangra, Dharamshala, and Palampur**. Ample parking and well-connected transport options are available. The temple trust provides clean facilities, and nearby shops offer **prasad, souvenirs, and local Himachali snacks**. My visit to **Maa Chamunda Devi Mandir** was not just a pilgrimage but a soul-stirring experience. The goddess’s divine presence, the temple’s sacred energy, and the stunning Himalayan backdrop left me in awe. Whether you seek blessings, adventure, or inner peace, this temple is a **must-visit**. A Truly Divine & Unforgettable Experience!** 🚩🙏

10 August 2025 It is a good temple. You can hire cab approx 1k rupees from kangra bus stand. It is a huge, clean and beautiful temple. There is a kund in between where there is boating for amusement. Boating price 50 per person. Photographs to Chamunda Devi is prohibited. There is one more temple "Nandikeswar". Although, temple is as usual as the other temples but inside there is below a huge Rock. There are many shops for prashad but for eating the good dhaba near main road gate.

The Temple is undergoing renovation, you have facility for keeping sandals outside. There is ample car parking. Great vibes

Palampur, known as the Tea Capital of Northern India, boasts vast and stunning tea gardens that are a major attraction for visitors. The lush greenery and delightful aroma create a dreamlike atmosphere, offering a serene escape from city life. These expansive plantations not only provide breathtaking views but also offer an opportunity to witness the intricate process of tea cultivation. Palampur's tea gardens are a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of tea-making and seeks a tranquil natural retreat.

Fabulous 🫰 Palampur is primarily known for its lush tea gardens, earning it the title of the "Tea Capital of North India". It's also famous for its serene monasteries, such as the Tashi Jong Khampagar Monastery, and beautiful landscapes, particularly the views of the Dhauladhar range. Additionally, Palampur offers a blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and a peaceful atmosphere. Tea Gardens: Palampur's extensive tea plantations are a major draw, offering visitors a chance to explore and experience the tea-making process, like at the Palampur Cooperative Tea Factory. What is the history of tea garden in Palampur? The tea industry in Palampur has a rich legacy, dating back to the colonial era when the British introduced tea cultivation in the region. The tea estates were first conceived in India during the 19th century. These tea estates or gardens have only been a tea lover's paradise since that time.

This is not a correct pin . There is a small private tea garden with Dak Bunglow and one small one called Bundela tea estate.. There is no tourist Palampur tea garden per se.where one can experience tea making process etc. We kept looking for a gate or ticket entry and realized that all the touristy experiential social media posts about palampur tea gardens are at Wah Tea Estate which is 20 mins away from this point

Neugal Cafe is a popular spot in Palampur where tourists can savor a variety of dishes at reasonable prices. The cafe offers a wide range of cuisine and has an adjacent bar for those looking to enjoy a cold beer. Visitors can choose to sit on the outdoor patio and admire the snowy mountains while dining. The well-maintained lawns provide seating with picturesque views, making it an ideal place for family outings.
Have visited this Cafe since I was a young child.Had just some coffee and Chicken pakoda this time but enjoyed the snacks. Great ambience with a view of the mountains from the lawns outside. It was raining, else we usually sit in the well manicured lawn and enjoy a family outing next to the tiny stream outside. The roses were in full bloom so looked lovely. As usual enjoyed ourselves.

Neugal Cafe is one of the iconic tourist spots of Palampur. The cafe is managed by HP Tourism. It is still well maintained to a decent extent . However ,construction in the area has spoilt the scenic beauty it was once popular for . Good food , nice ambiance especially in the evenings. Beware of monkeys .

Neugal Cafe serves up a wide selection of cuisine, and its adjacent bar is perfect for thirsty travellers wishing to wash it down with a frosty brew. There is seating available on the restaurant's outdoor patio. Neugal Café is the place to go if you want to eat while gazing at snowy mountains. A vast out space for dinning and watching nature and dhauladhar views. A big and well maintained garden adds extra stars to it.
Manpreet S — Google review
This cafe, run and maintained by Himachal Pradesh Tourism, is a decent and convenient stopover during travel. While the cafe itself is simple, the real highlight here is the outdoor view. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Himachal, it offers a calm and refreshing atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to pause your journey, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. The menu has a fair variety of food and beverages. The quality was good overall, though the prices are a little on the higher side compared to regular eateries. Still, considering the location and the chance to dine with such a view, many travelers would find it worth the spend. The service is average—not bad, but not exceptional either. It’s best to come here with the mindset of enjoying the setting rather than expecting top-notch hospitality. In short, this cafe is not just about food—it’s about the experience. Whether you’re stopping for a quick snack, a cup of tea, or a light meal, the surrounding scenery makes it memorable. Must visit for the outdoor views and a refreshing break in between your travel.

This is owned by HTPDC and situated in Palampur town. This place commands the beautiful view of mountains and dhauldaar ranges. This cafe has 4 room set cozy stay options as well adjacent to cafe itself. It’s very kids friendly and has a very small stream of river where kids enjoy boating and rafting. This is well maintained , beautiful and peaceful property. It has a small Bar House also. Open area dinning options is also available here and alcohol can be served at your table. One can enjoy variety of veg and non veg food items here. Famous Trout fish can be served on advance order here. Food is fresh and delicious. Weekend is mostly full here so plan accordingly as guests and well as local visitors visits this for lunch and dinning. Staff is very polite and quick in servicing. Plenty of free parking space is available.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I visited Nugal Café Palampur today, 16th July. I ordered chaat papdi, dosa, and masala papad with green chutney. To my shock and disgust, I found a cockroach🪳🤮 in my food. 😱 seriously This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the café’s hygiene and cleanliness standards. What’s even more disappointing is that something like this could happen in a place known for its ambiance and food quality. No matter how popular a café may be, customer safety and hygiene must always be the top priority. I hope the management takes immediate steps to thoroughly clean the kitchen, train the staff, and conduct regular pest control to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I won’t be visiting again🤮

Nestled in the heart of Palampur at Subhash Chowk, Taj Restaurant is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Don't let its unassuming exterior fool you; once you ascend to the second floor, you're greeted with breathtaking views that transport you away from the bustling market below. The lush greenery surrounding the restaurant creates a serene atmosphere perfect for enjoying your meal.
Taj Restaurant in Palampur was a delightful experience. We ordered naan with chana and chana bhatura, and it was a scrumptious treat. The food was served quickly, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making our visit enjoyable. The naan was soft and perfectly cooked, complementing the flavorful chana. The chana bhatura was equally delicious, with the bhatura being fluffy and the chana rich in spices. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring we left with satisfied appetites. The ambiance of the restaurant was comfortable and clean, adding to the overall positive experience. The prices were reasonable, making it a great choice for a tasty, budget-friendly meal. I bought one and a half plates of kadhai chicken today for around Rs. 775. Total Rs. 900/- including 3-nans. They just put 11-tiny pieces of chicken for this price. Such a bad experience. The food is good, the ambiance is nice, the prices are fair... but seriously, people, waiting almost an hour and a half for drinks—a lemonade and a ginger tea—and another 10 minutes for a burger and a pasta dish is too long. There was another family there, and the rest of the guests were just drinking. Especially since it was announced it would take 20 minutes. I'm fine with 20 minutes, but not more than three times as long. So, for today's service, only 1 point.

Tucked away in the serene outskirts of Palampur, Red Café is a gem that beautifully blends simple comfort with thoughtful touches. The ambiance is cozy—think tasteful wooden interiors, plenty of natural light, and even a charming outdoor seating area that’s perfect whether you're people-watching or unwinding with a book . Coffee lovers, rejoice. Their hot coffee and cold coffee are frequently praised for hitting the right notes of warmth and richness—just what you want when you're looking to relax . Customers consistently mention the food as rich and flavorful, with particular nods to items like chilli garlic noodles, paneer roll, chicken momos, and white-sauce pasta (even if that last one leans towards a sweet note) .

During my recent visit to Punjchin, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly blends modern decor with a cozy vibe. This trendy spot in Palampur offers an impressive menu filled with a variety of mouthwatering dishes, making it an ideal destination for food lovers seeking great flavors at reasonable prices. The walls are adorned with quirky boards that add a unique charm to the place, while the small in-house bar serves up an excellent selection of cocktails, beer, and wine.
Nice ambience. Good for drinks with friends and family. Delightful cuisines . Try spring rolls . Have a pleasant taste of Desi ghee biryani.🍺🍺

If you wish to have great food at affordable price in palampur, Punjchin is the place to try for. The vibe has a different charisma, walls are laden with funny boards, it has a small bar in-house. The place is designed in a really creative manner & you get entertained just by seeing the boards & the vibe. We tried paneer tikka, lassi (sweet & sour), butter chicken, naan & fried momos. Lassi is highly recommended. Butter chicken was one of the best we ever had. Paneer tikka was again fantastic & paneer cubes were really fresh. Momos were okayish & there is a scope for improvement. Drink options are limited.

Order a tomato shorba ( marked as non veg item) and this is what you get. A plain tomato soup with nothing else in it. And instead of being cooperative with the customer or providing a solution, they put the blame on Zomato. All money wasted. The item is not worth than ₹20. Highly disappointed.

I had the misfortune of dining at Panjchin restaurant in Palampur last week. I was hoping for a delicious and affordable meal, but I was sorely disappointed. The service was slow and inattentive. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive, and when it did, it was cold and overcooked. The waiter was also very rude, and he seemed to be annoyed that we were there. The food was overpriced for the quality. A plate of butter chicken cost over ₹500, which is more than I would pay at a fine dining restaurant. The chicken was dry and tasteless, and the sauce was bland. The atmosphere at the restaurant was also not very good. The restaurant was crowded and noisy, and there were a lot of flies. It was difficult to have a conversation, and the flies made it hard to enjoy our meal. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience at Panjchin. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I would much rather spend my money at a different restaurant in Palampur.

We waited over an hour for our food to arrive, and even then it was cold and overcooked. The prices were also very high, especially for the quality of the food. For example, a plate of butter chicken cost over ₹500, which is more than I would pay at a fine dining restaurant. The atmosphere at Panjchin was also not very good. The restaurant was crowded and noisy, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. There were also a lot of flies, which made it difficult to enjoy our meal. Overall, I would not recommend Panjchin restaurant to anyone. The service was poor, the food was overpriced, and the atmosphere was not very good. I would much rather spend my money at a different restaurant in Palampur

I recently visited Punchin restaurant and bar and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a modern decor that made it feel like a trendy urban spot. The menu was diverse, with a range of delicious dishes to choose from, and the drinks were top-notch, with a great selection of cocktails, beer, and wine. The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who were more than happy to make recommendations and offer suggestions. They were quick to refill drinks and make sure everyone was comfortable, and their attention to detail really made the experience feel special. Overall, I would highly recommend Punchin for anyone looking for a great meal and a relaxing drink. Whether you're looking to celebrate a special occasion or just want to enjoy a night out, this is the place to be. A great spot for a date, or a night out with friends.

The Sobha Singh Art Gallery, located in the charming village of Andretta, is a must-see for art enthusiasts. It showcases the remarkable works of renowned artist Sobha Singh and offers a diverse collection of traditional and contemporary art pieces available for purchase. The gallery provides insight into Himachal's artistic heritage and also offers unique souvenirs such as paintings and prints. Once the painter's home, the gallery displays his paintings thoughtfully behind glass walls.
This Art Gallery is at Andretta in Palampur Taluka of Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. The gallery is adjacent to the road and adequate parking space is available for parking of vehicles. The gallery is open from 9.30 in the morning and closes at 5.00 pm in the evening.Nominal entry fee is there for the viewing of the gallery. If one wants to do photography with mobile or camera additional fee is required to be paid. The original paintings by the famous artist Sir Sobha Singh are displayed in the gallery. The things used by the artist are also displayed in one room. The last painting of the artist which is half completed is also there for the visitors. There are many paintings on Guru Nanak. There is also a painting of SohniMahiwal and HirRanjha. There are portraits of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and other Indian National Heroes. The photocopies of the paintings are available for sale at nominal prices. It is worth visiting the place to know The Artist Sobha Singh.

The gallery, which was once the painter's home, offers a deeply personal glimpse into his life and work. As you wander through the rooms, you're surrounded by his captivating paintings, each telling a story. As you enter, you're asked to remove your shoes. The paintings are thoughtfully displayed behind glass walls. Alongside the artwork, you'll find a selection of unique items for sale like postcards, fridge magnets, handmade soaps,  crochet toys and decorative items. But I found few items little bit expensive. For plant lovers, there's a lovely collection of greenery available for purchase. This gallery offers a beautiful blend of art and craft that will leave you inspired. The gallery’s ambiance is peaceful, almost meditative. The staff are gentle and welcoming. This gallery is a must-visit for art lovers and anyone seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You have to pay to take photos. ( 100₹ ) And there is also an entry fee.

Visiting the Shobha Singh Art Gallery in Andretta was a truly enriching experience. The gallery beautifully preserves the legacy of the legendary artist Sardar Shobha Singh, whose paintings reflect deep emotion, culture, and spirituality. Each artwork tells a story — from his iconic portraits of Sohni-Mahiwal and Guru Nanak Dev Ji to the serene landscapes that capture the soul of Himachal. The gallery is well-maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by the natural charm of the Kangra Valley. It’s not just a place to see art — it’s a place to feel art. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates creativity and heritage. Our visit became truly memorable thanks to Ms. Ritu, our knowledgeable and friendly guide. Her deep understanding of Shobha Singh’s life, artistic journey, and the history of Andretta made the tour fascinating. She explained every painting with passion and detail, making us feel connected to the stories behind them. Ritu’s warmth, patience, and local insights added a personal touch to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region — she turns a simple tour into a heartfelt journey.

Sobha Singh Art Gallery is the home of legendary painter, Sardar Sobha Singh, where his descendants still reside. They are doing a yeoman service in keeping the legacy of the man alive. The rooms, artworks and relics of the great painter are kept as they were when they were used by him. The place is a repository of old black and white photographs of the house from its earliest days evoking a deep nostalgia. The place is full of history and still retains the old world charm that would have inspired the great artist to settle there. The must visit place for art lovers, nostalgia and quiet seekers and even casual tourists looking for a portal to escape into the not so distant past. The owners make a great effort to preserve the sanctity, quiet and solitude of the place and therefore it is recommended to help maintain the same by being silent admirers rather than noisy tourists.

Went there without much expectations. Surprisingly it turned out to be really good. Delicious food with heartwarming hospitality. Felt like one of the best places in the city for good food. Only con I felt was the lack of an open sitting area which considering the weather in that city is a must.

Good clean restaurant. Food was tasty specially North Indian. Chinese food was not so well prepared. Courteous staff. Service time was within limits. Located in a shopping complex with other important joints for shopping and well being.

Good place to visit with your friends and family. Food was good as far as indian cuisine is concerned service was good but you might have to wait a little longer for few orders. Place is nice n quiet. Overall was a good experience.

Visited for lunch with infant baby. Firstly Steward took wrong order and got us excessive dishes more than what was ordered (double main course). Secondly the order consisted of rajasthani lal maas which was not even remotely like the original dish. Mutton was uncooked and when the staff was informed about it they blatantly refused to accept the sub standard cooking. When the main chef was called he remorselessly told that the dish was always prepared this way and there was nothing wrong with the meat. My wife is a chef herself and any guy could have seen an uncooked Mutton. Attitude of staff is pathetic. Charges are overpriced, Ambience and infrastructure is good. Parking is available with difficulty. Food is not upto the mark. Better to avoid and visit any better restaurant in vicinity without making a hole in your pocket.

Cliffy's Cafe is a charming eatery nestled in the heart of Palampur, offering a unique dining experience. The cafe boasts jungle-themed seating with tree trunk and log furniture, providing a picturesque setting to enjoy food and drinks while surrounded by nature's beauty. Whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors, the ambiance is delightful, complemented by the soothing sounds of splashing water and birds chirping.
Found this by sheer luck while passing through and I’d highly recommend to everyone visiting Palampur to not miss this gem. Lovely ambiance and seating, plenty of sunshine, great presentation and food. Very good hospitality. Genuinely loved every food item, especially the Makhani Fries. Been a while since I had such crisp ones. I sat here on a comfy sofa seating with my family and could easily chill here for a couple hours ( we were running away from the blistering summer heat and this was the perfect spot! ) Food lovers and book lovers alike, would adore this spot!

Recently, they opened a new outlet and closed the older one which was a wonderful place to be anyways. The newer one was a beautiful experience too. The hospitality was amazing, the food was also good and the location gives you a picturesque of mountains. Lastly, the infrastructure and ambience is also a thumbs up. Going to the side of the price range, that's slightly higher compared to the older one. Lastly, the menu could include some more options for vegetarians plus, they should have a distinction for vegetarian and non-vegetarian options while classifying.

Looks like a new place in town. Spacious, roomy. They have seating outside in a deck. Limited menu options. We tried the Dosa and filter coffee. Good. But priced little on the higher side. The ambience, room and. Location are great. But the major issue is of washroom! They have 1 common washroom which does not feel convenient at all. Staff is good. We went around new year and they were charging for bonfire which felt unrealistic and unfair. Bonfire in hill stations should be given and not chargeable.. Rest all is good✌

The location is absolutely gorgeous, overlooking the valley, away from the marketplaces. Full points for the cutest colourful details all over the property and it’s cleanliness. It has the most cordial and helpful staff who won me over when they came all the way to a distant location just to drop off my scarf. Also the most value for money stay in palampur by far. I'm extremely grateful towards our host Nikhil; who at the time of curfew when every single restaurant was shut, provided us with some food, even though there kitchen was shut. Although the place was a lovely pit stop us, I would definitely visit it again if chance be. And this time for a bit longer! :D

This is one of the most iconic and famous place in Palampur. One can enjoy trekking, river and mountains at this single place. The original bridge is hanging bridge and is actually known as Neugal Bridge.Negual is the name of the river. This bridge is no more operational now but there is a new bridge constructed and operational adjacent to hanging one. Shreshah movie had some shots shooted here. Just at the entrance to parking there is a small cafe hosted on a car named as BABA JI. I really liked the Maggie and the Kadak Tea. One should try it for sure if you are Maggi and tea combo lover. Hard to find the same taste.

Park
Dhauladhar Park, also known as Gopalpur Zoo, is a captivating destination located just 13 kilometers from Palampur. Spanning an impressive 30 acres, this national park serves as a sanctuary for a variety of wildlife, including angora rabbits, black bears, leopards, and even the majestic Asiatic lions.
It is a really nice place to come for a walk or a jog.. There are slides and swings to keep the kids occupied too.. Only negative is the presence of monkeys in the park..

Dhauladhar Park, nestled near Nugal Chowk, Palampur, offers a picturesque setting surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar mountain range and lush greenery. The serene ambiance makes it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts seeking solace amidst breathtaking views. However, the park's maintenance leaves much to be desired. Despite its potential, the upkeep falls short, detracting from the overall experience. Upon entering the park, one can't help but notice the charming array of swings, slides, and other amusements designed to entertain children. These features add a playful touch to the natural beauty of the surroundings, attracting families and visitors alike. Unfortunately, the allure of the park is often marred by its overcrowdedness, primarily due to the presence of school student couples who seek seclusion in the corners of the parking lot, away from prying eyes. While the park offers a sanctuary for relaxation and recreation, the presence of such crowds can detract from the peaceful atmosphere that many visitors seek. Additionally, the lack of proper maintenance diminishes the overall appeal of the park, leaving visitors longing for a more pristine environment. Despite these shortcomings, Dhauladhar Park still holds immense potential as a haven for nature lovers and families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. With some improvements in maintenance and crowd management, the park could truly shine as a gem in the heart of Palampur. Until then, visitors may have to contend with the occasional disruption to their tranquility while still appreciating the natural beauty that surrounds them.

It's cute, the aura of pine trees, the sound of water and the beautiful trek like sceneries make it even more beautiful. The things i didn't like is related to safety of the tourists. The cliff which has benches are broken plus small children might fall from there. Otherwise, nice place.

Well I did visited here since I had long stretched holiday in dharamshala and since it was first time I didn't know what much to do. Well, if you have any love towards long roads and curvy paths then you can try visiting here. You won't find much here. It's a normal tea estate where outside you can buy some tea and your taxi drives takes you there so it depends on their tie ups. Well for me not much impressive could have done better things

I’ve watched multiple movies at Yaashita Theatre, and honestly, the overall experience is very disappointing. The biggest issue is the video quality – why on earth is the theatre still running movies in 720p? Even on my phone, I watch at least 1080p, and here, after paying for a theatre ticket, the quality feels outdated and substandard. The sound and seating may be fine, but the whole purpose of going to a cinema is to enjoy the big screen experience – and that’s completely ruined when the picture isn’t even full HD. Seriously, management needs to upgrade the projection system if they want people to keep coming. Until then, it feels like a waste of money.

Theatre review : Please don't go :) I didn't know the meaning of worst before this theatre I guess. The speakers are so bad, you won't hear the music when any song in the movie is on. And during the dialogues you have a constant bass ringing in your ears. This theatre needs to be bulldozed and then built again I think. It's so bad. During the whole movie, people were coming in and I know it happens everywhere but during THE WHOLE MOVIE???? Everytime someone walks in there is chaos and confusion reg. the seats. The AC too doesn't work too. Food was okay.

If you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Palampur, make sure to stop by Sri Nangli Sweets for a delightful culinary experience. This pure vegetarian eatery is not just a sweet shop; it’s a haven for dessert lovers and snack enthusiasts alike. Nestled conveniently opposite Sabzi Mandi on Baijnath Road, Sri Nangli Sweets boasts an inviting atmosphere where cleanliness meets comfort.
Very nice and clean place with delicious vegetarian food. The sweets are also very good. Whenever we cross Palampur, we make sure to stop at Sri Nangli sweets for a quick snack. My mother is a huge fan of their roast barfi, which I always get packed from here. Overall a good place for food and sweets.

Good food and service. Everything is reasonably priced and tastes very good. The food is great and the service is great and quick.
Monika P — Google review
We stopped at Sri Nangli Sweets for lunch while returning from a long trip, hoping for a peaceful meal. The place was crowded, which initially seemed like a good sign. After waiting a few minutes, we managed to find a small table. Despite the owner and staff clearly noticing that we were a family of three, no one bothered to offer or arrange an extra chair — we had to pull it ourselves. Things took an upsetting turn while we were eating. My 5-year-old child was quietly having his lunch when the staff began pushing his chair in an attempt to join another table right beside ours. Neither the staff nor the owner offered any apology for this unacceptable behavior. What made it worse was the lady owner standing nearby, laughing as if it were something amusing. Such behavior is absolutely disgraceful and heartless, especially from someone who should understand the basic values of hospitality and empathy. Watching staff push a child’s chair while he was eating — and seeing the owner laugh instead of apologizing — was truly shocking. It’s not just about food; it’s about respect and human decency, both of which this place completely lacks. If there were an option for negative stars, they would undoubtedly deserve it. A truly pathetic and disappointing experience that no family should ever have to go through.
Pankaj T — Google review
It was just alright to be honest. The gujiya was alright. The malai cham cham was dry. Coconut barfi was dry. The pani puri masala smelled funky. The pani puri water was not the best taste. The chole bhature were too spicy for my taste. The daal kachori had become soft like a puri but it did taste nice.

The famous Sweet Shop at Palampur , @Sri Nangli sweets, Serving stale and fungal Desserts. I have purchased it on 29 feb. Instead of apology and exchange , he was so rude and arrogant . I have attached some pictures of it . As a customers I need your (public) opinions I will never go there again and will not recommend to anyone. There are lot more good options in town .

Sri Nangli Sweets, located opposite Sabzi Mandi on Baijnath Road in Palampur, is a vegetarian eatery and sweet shop known for offering a wide variety of organic sweets, North and South Indian snacks, and breakfast items in a cozy, clean setting. It holds a solid average rating around 4.3/5 across review platforms. The highlights include their Pani Puri, celebrated for delightfully minty tangy water, and sweets made in pure desi ghee—guests frequently rave about roast barfi, rasgulla, and jalebis. Popular snacks like kurkure momos, Dal Makhani roti, and truffle pastry also receive praise. Many diners describe it as a “neat & clean” place with quick and attentive service, offering reasonable prices and convenient parking. However, there are complaints too—some customers reported items served stale or undercooked (such as cold chole bhature, burnt dosa, or rasmalai with foul odor). In several cases, staff response was unhelpful or dismissive when issues were raised. In short, Sri Nangli Sweets offers flavorful vegetarian fare and traditional sweets in a pleasant atmosphere—ideal for a snack or light meal stop—but inconsistent kitchen standards and occasional customer service lapses make quality a hit-or-miss. For casual veg dining on the road, it’s worth trying—but maybe verify freshness, especially with perishable items.

The setup of the cafe is pretty nice. The outdoor ambience is amazing. I loved it. A good place for breakfast or brunch. The staff was humble and polite. The food was average. I really liked their omelet and ABC juice (carrot and bettroot). The taco and burrito were okay. That particular day service was slightly slow but I think that's the case at most places in Himachal Pradesh. If you to Palampur then you should visit the place.

BEKAAR! service is very good hence the 3 stars. We reached the place around lunch time to find it totally empty except for one family. We started off by ordering two cold coffees which were absolutely bland ,tasteless and watery. The waiter was sweet to take it back and up it up a notch! We then ordered cheese and bacon sandwich, club sandwich, tuna sandwich and a salsizaa or something weirdly named pizza. Along with 3 brownies. We spent around ₹2250 odd. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY. EVEN THOUGH WE WERE FAMISHED WE COULDNT EAT THE food so just imagine. The STAFF is EXCELLENT. THATS IT. FOOD IS VERY VERY MEDIOCRE. I paid ₹270 by gpay for the brownies but was given only 2,the number given on their page doesn’t work. I will for sure not reco this place!!!!!

Quality of food, attention to detail, customer satisfaction and quiet unwind mood to it, make this cafe worth stopping by. They've done a great job with the caffeine options and the menu and the kitchen boast of several other expertly prepared dishes. We ordered 4 things, out of which 1 was not to our liking. The staff not only tried to correct it to our liking, but also did not charge for the dish. I recommend the cafe to any food lover traveller through palampur, not because they aren't commercial, but because they serve to heart'a content

Very nice structure. The engravings give various facts about the britishers residing here back in the 1860s the names of whom most of us haven't heard. The park around it is beautiful and a small fall passes nearby during rain. No toilets available. Not much of choice could be found in foods also.

Nestled in the charming town of Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, The Blue Hills Cafe is a delightful spot that captures the essence of cozy dining. Run by a dynamic duo, this cafe offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or simply soaking in the serene mountain views. Guests rave about their delectable offerings, including white sauce pasta, Kangra tea, and mouthwatering veg chili balls.
Small roadside cafe with excellent food at very reasonable prices. Must stop and try if you're driving through Palampur to Dharamshala. Cosy ambience, pleasant music, good seating for 4 to 5 tables, very polite/courteous owner who makes sure of great service and most importantly, great tasting food at decent prices. Service is pretty fast too. Washrooms could use an upgrade. You might not like it. Highly recommended for a fast quick bite.

Yesterday, I went to Bluehills Cafe. I needed to park my car, but there was no space available. The owner very politely offered me a spot. After that, I ordered a Peri Peri pizza, Kiwi mojito, and Wheat dumplings. To be honest, the experience at Bluehills Cafe in Palampur is truly unique and wonderful. The cafe is really lovely, and there are unlimited options for Italian food. The quality is amazing. I've decided that from now on, I'll visit Bluehills Cafe every week to try new dishes and will also introduce my friends to it.

Really polite service, comfortable and amiable vibe, gives an open space feel and also with firewood during winters, the food quantity and taste was good and worth the price. Should definitely look out for their special delicacies!!

I’m from Delhi, and I must say the food at The Blue Hills Cafe truly impressed me! The taste reminded me of Delhi taste — rich flavors, just the right amount of spice, and freshly prepared dishes. It’s rare to find a place outside Delhi that gets the taste so right, but this cafe nailed it. Highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic and delicious food!☕🍹

A lovely cafe in Palampur with the best view of the mountains. The cafe has a cozy vibe little small but perfect for a quick catch-up with friends or just enjoying the peaceful weather. We tried their special tea, coffee, cold coffee, pizza, pasta, fries, momos, and blueberry cheesecake—and everything tasted amazing. The food was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. It’s a great spot if you want to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the beautiful surroundings. Definitely worth a visit!
