Lop Buri in 2 days

If you only have 2 days to spend in Lop Buri, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Lop Buri is best known for its ancient Khmer-era ruins, especially Phra Prang Sam Yot, where macaque monkeys roam freely around the crumbling towers. The old town also features King Narai’s Palace and several elegant temples that reflect its role as a secondary capital in the Ayutthaya period. Beyond the historic core, the surrounding countryside is dotted with seasonal sunflower fields that draw photographers and day-trippers from Bangkok. The mix of living “monkey city” atmosphere and well-preserved archaeology makes it a distinctive stop on a central Thailand itinerary.
With favorites like Pasak Chonlasit Dam, King Narai the Great Monument, and MadMeee, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Baan Sahai Cafe and Khao Tom Hor so you can get the best taste of Lop Buri while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

National park
Chet Sao Noi National Park, located in the Muak Lek district area, is a rainforest park featuring a small 7-tiered waterfall with shaded swimming areas. Just 2.5 hours from Bangkok by car, it offers a relaxing natural environment for visitors to enjoy year-round. The park has created universal design features to accommodate elderly and disabled visitors, including ramps and flat areas for wheelchair access.
Beautiful place to go and explore. Lots of trails to walk. Lots of nice small waterfalls. Different sections of lake you can swim in and rent rubber rings to sit and float in the river with. Before you enter there are many food/drink places and shops selling everything you may need for a day there ✨️
Spannerz N — Google review
A very beautiful waterfall with a nice stroll path along the way. Plenty of car park at the entrance and good bathrooms and showers next to the car park. There are entrance fees for people under 60 yo and cars. We went on Sunday so the place was super busy and people put down their mats next to the water edge on the path in and out of the waterfall. So we decided to go for the walk down to level 5,6,7 instead. There are bathrooms and a change room close to the waterfall but it was stinky and dirty. The bathroom and shower at the car park was much cleaner.
Penny G — Google review
This waterfall national park is a nature lover’s delight, with seven stunning tiers cascading through lush greenery. Well-maintained footpaths make the journey between levels an easy and enjoyable walk, letting you soak in the scenery at every step.
SURASAK A — Google review
👏 Loved this place! 🌿 The short walking trail through the forest was so peaceful — shaded by big trees and filled with the sound of birds and flowing water. The waterfall itself has several gentle tiers, perfect for dipping your feet or cooling off 💦 The water’s wasn’t so clear (due to recent heavy rains), but was refreshing, and there are plenty of nice spots to sit, relax, or have a picnic. Such a calm and beautiful escape from the city — was totally worth the trip! 🍃✨ I spent a couple of hours.. just walking the trails.
Pratyush P — Google review
The waterfall area is very well-organized and extremely clean. It’s well-maintained, peaceful, and a great place to relax and enjoy nature.
ARIS — Google review
Nice waterfall park to splash around and cool off in. Not too many people if you go on a weekday
Cheryl L — Google review
Very beautiful National park. The rangers are very nice and there are quite too many people on the weekend.
Theno P — Google review
Visited on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't busy, guessing it's very busy weekends. B100 for me, B20 for the wife. We thought it really beautiful, very well maintained. We did the full walk around both sides of the river. Tier 4 is the most impressive. Really enjoyed our visit. It definitely was worth it.

Pasak Chonlasit Dam is one of the longest earth-filled dams in Thailand, offering splendid scenic views and recreational activities. Visitors can explore the Pasak Basin museum, enjoy a train ride across the reservoir, go kayaking or boating, and even camp in designated areas. The dam area features shaded spots for relaxation, souvenir shops, food stalls offering Thai cuisine, and opportunities for picnicking and kite flying.
This is a beautiful location to visit, enjoy, and photograph. We stopped on the way back to Bangkok and enjoyed the area. The reservoir and the lake it creates are massive and grand achievements. A very nice and peaceful place to visit and enjoy a piece of Thailand.

I just went there with my friends last week. I got to see goats and hold them. I bought them food and milk. They ran after me and my friends. They were so cute. There were both adult goats and baby goats. I really liked it there. I want to go there again with my family.
สิรินภัส ว — Google review
Big reservior with wonderful Sightseeing view. Good atmosphere. Some people come and do exercise also.
Vichsarut S — Google review
The dam is very beautiful to look at. It is a good place to spend time with the family. At the same time, a tractor ride is being taken around the entire dam. Especially the tractor ride is very popular with children they enjoying it. Through this we can see whole dam. There are many shops inside, so food and drinking water are not a problem.
Syed 1 — Google review
When we went the water level was pretty low for monsoon season. It has a nice little park. Lots of locals cycling, running and picnicking. Fun for the quick check in photo but not much to actually see.
Pin K — Google review
A large Dam near Bangkok makes it easy to plan a one day trip. There is an aquarium nearby with many fresh water fishes. For sight seeing, there is a trolley line along the da ridge. 30 baht for adults and 10 for kids. There is also a train rail at the water level when the dam is full capacity, up north about 20 minutes that's the place you must visit for a picture.
Sheroku H — Google review
A good spot for a quick stop while visiting Lopburi, but not quite enough to be a main attraction on its own.
K N — Google review
Nice view but it's quite hot here. The main road to the dam will be restricted for private vehicles until 4 PM. During day time, if you want to go inside this place, you need to buy ticket for the tourist tram. The train will go along this dam only 2 time per day, so if you want see this moment (same like many beautiful photos on Google), you should check the time carefully.

Wat Phra Phutthabat is an intricate temple from 1624, boasting a gilded tiered roof and columns. It contains a reputed footprint of Buddha and is situated atop a hill where visitors can find a cave with the Buddha statue. Additionally, there is also a Chinese Buddha where tourists toss coins into the statue's navel for good luck. The temple's spire was under renovation during our visit but the bustling market in front offered plenty of souvenirs to purchase.
The temple complex is nice and calming. Beautiful architecture of the main hall and a few pagodas around. Definitely take the time to go up the hill for an amazing panoramic view of the city and surrounding mountains.

We came here on 7 June 2025. No need to buy any tickets. It’s a peaceful temple area. Come for blessings and give thanks 🙏🏻 Ample car parking just opposite and it’s free.

Beautiful temple. Very picturesque. When leaving. There's a monk that's going to spray water at you. If you don't know this is going to happen it can be shocking and scary. Not easily accessible for wheelchair users.
Kevin K — Google review
Beautiful revered temple with Footprint of Phra Phutta (Lord Buddha) Beautiful temple in shining gold colour with multi-colored walls. One Chinese temple in the premises. Don't miss ringing the series of bells by gently thumping by fingers. Large parking for easy access. Lots of shops and hawkers selling local stuff and local icecream, don't miss the coconut icecream being sold at only 20Baht, freshly served right away.
Sudershan G — Google review
The most sacred and beautiful temple in Saraburi. You’ll get to witness the Buddha’s footprint, and pay your respects if you wish to do so. If you’re foreigner, avoid the people trying to sell entry tickets at the entrance. They’re very likely trying to scam you. (The entrance is free - to my knowledge at 2025)
Pattaranat J — Google review
First time visiting this temple. Once I got inside, I feel relax. There are many Buddhist to pay respect. There is a small market near the temple for shopping especially lottery shops.
Daneeta P — Google review
Magical fantastic place which has the feeling of a time machine which takes you back 1000 years. You can see here a footprint of Buddha. At the entrance there are monsters adorned in garlands of flowers. Lots of religious disciples coming from all over Thailand and also lots of tourists.

Beautiful and sacred place to visit in Saraburi. It is a mix cultural place and very popular among tourists especially Chinese people. Other than beautiful temple and shrine, you can feel calm and relax from the view and good landscape here. Moreover, there is the pavillion that located the statue of Hermit Doctor Cheewaka Komarapach. Anyone who sicks should come to visit and pray for better health.

Wat Khao Wong Phrachan is a Buddhist temple located on a steep hill, accessible via over 3,700 steps. The trail leading to the temple offers a chance to experience diverse plant life and wildlife in the surrounding forests. It's recommended to wear breathable long pants due to potential overgrowth and mosquitoes along the way. The climb may be strenuous, but reaching the top rewards visitors with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding scenery.
This temple is on the top of the highest mountain in Lop Buri. Stunning view! This place is definitely worth a visit. The way to go up is not too difficult. It took abt 2 hours to go up and over 1 hour go down. There were many insects, maybe because of rainy season. I came on the weekday and did not see anyone else on the way, just a few shops opened to sell drink and snacks. There were many dogs, they may accompanied with you, all friendly, dont be scared :)).

Highly recommended to come for small hiking and make a wish for best fortune in life. Nice view, windy and good weather early this year. There are 2 main trails 1) for visiting golden buddha 2) to hike up around 1.6 km with 3,700++ stairs🦁 I did both with my friend and it was really fun. We went at 6 pm at night where there is a chinese event for few days all nights.
Garuzo — Google review
A popular destination for both spiritual pilgrims and adventure seekers. The challenge is to climb all 3,790 steps to reach the summit, where you’ll find a sacred Buddha footprint and a breathtaking panoramic view. Along the way, there are rest stops and drink stalls to keep you going. During the annual festival from February 1–15, the path is lit up, allowing visitors to climb day or night.

A wonderful hike up the mountain in the Lopburi Province. The climb was exhilarating and the view at the top breathtaking. I would love to visit this province everytime i visit Thailand.
Anthony G — Google review
If you're tired of the steps there is also a trail up through the forest. From the top make your way to the corner of the helicopter landing area at these exact coordinates 14.962531,100.710682 and you will see the trail going alongside the fence where the phone mast is. Or if you are starting from the bottom search Google maps for เขาวงพระจันทร์ ทางวิ่งเทรล and look for a trail leading into the forest. This trail is 3km each way. There is 1 fork in the trail about half way which takes you to the massive golden Buddha which is another route option if 3km in the forest is a bit much. This middle trailhead is at exact coordinates 14.963903,100.700918 It's good for exercise but view is spoiled by haze during the dry season.
P J — Google review
My friends had already booked, so we decided to join. Glad we did, it's vertical steps all the way, but we took our time and loved it. We started just before 4pm, perfect timing to take in the views and then watch the stunning sunset. The path is safe at night because its fully lit. I believe the temple is open 24 hours one time a year. Be careful, after the sun goes down the queues to get in were hours long. Would definitely like to climb the stairs again one day.
Geordie A — Google review
No entry fee but there's a donation box for those who'd like to help out the temple. Recommend to come very early. We came at 6am. The hike up was nice, breezy and quiet. Only friendly (and quite buff) dogs to keep us company. Be warned the hike up stairs is quite challenging stamina wise though having the steps makes it pretty easy technically. After you reach the gate at the top, there's still further stairs with Naga (serpents) on them that you can take to the top. There's a trail you can take on the way down but it's much longer than the stair option (3km).
Pin K — Google review
Wonderful mountain side temple. We were there during a fair but you can climb up the stairs on the ridge to the summit which is a great place to see sunset or sunrise (if you are up for 3800 steps). Alternatively, there is a big Buddha which is easier to reach and still provides a pleasant view over the local area.

Phra Prang Sam Yot, also known as the Monkey Temple, is a renowned attraction in Mueang Lopburi District. This ancient Khmer-style temple, dating back to the 12th century, was initially built as a Buddhist temple and later converted to Shiva worship before being returned to Buddhism. The site is famous for its three linked towers constructed from laterite and sandstone. Visitors can explore the ruins while interacting with the playful monkeys that freely roam around the area.
We went to an ancient place where mostly monkeys lived inside an ancient castle, but some of them were still on the street or by the roadside. However, most of them are aggressive, and I once saw them fight and bleed. If you go inside, the ticket price for Thais is 10 baht, while foreigners pay 40 baht. They will give you a long wooden stick; if monkeys see you carrying it, they won't come close. Don't bring any food, or you'll get attacked, just like my husband did! He bought peanuts in a plastic bag, and a monkey sneaked behind him and grabbed the bag immediately!
Rotphannee R — Google review
Great site to visit! Not super busy during the weekday. I would say, it gets really hot in the afternoon so I would suggest going early morning or late evening. Wear walking shoes because there are several steps, but you can also get dropped off at Gate 4, to avoid the long stairway. We walked the stairs up and had our driver take us back.
Donniecia C — Google review
Visited in March 2025, the ruins themselves are quite small, not much information given about them, only takes 10 minutes to walk around and glance inside (nothing of note inside). Main attraction of course are the monkeys, pretty cool to see them around the temple ruins. In my experience not aggressive at all as some have suggested, mainly ignore you or if anything are shy, tend to run away if you're within a metre of them. They give you a stick at the entrance, hope nobody actually beats them with it...
Joseph M — Google review
Cool ancient ruins of a Buddhist temple. Popular IG spot for both visitors and locals of Lopburi. Not necessary to pay the entrance fee as you can see it from the road, unless you want to pay 5x the price as locals to have a closer experience with the monkeys.
Nick R — Google review
An ancient Khmer-style temple and one of Lopburi’s most iconic landmarks. The three connected prangs represent the Hindu Trimurti — Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva — and were later transformed into a Buddhist sanctuary. Not as many monkeys as before, since most of them have been relocated by the municipality, but you can still see some around the area. It’s now much calmer and easier to walk around without worrying about mischievous monkeys. We visited around 4:30 PM, and the temple looked stunning in the soft golden light. The weather was pleasant and not too hot — it gave the place such a cozy, peaceful feeling. The entrance fee for foreigners is 80 THB. Parking is available nearby, and the site is easy to explore. Take less than 30 mins to stroll around and take a bunch of photos. A wonderful stop to admire ancient Khmer architecture, history, and serenity — especially at sunset. 🌅
Thanaporn C — Google review
The most popular landmark of Lopburi and the most lovely animal of the province, monkeys. Went there in May 2025 and they said that most of monkeys were relocated. The monkeys are really cute but they can be a little bit snatchers. You should be extra careful and listen to the officers. Keep all your accessories in your bags. All of the small and shiny things should be put away from their sight including glasses, phones, car keys, keychains, bracelet, necklace and earings. Once you loose it, you never get it back. Please love the monkeys and be kind to them.
Ekk C — Google review
One of the famous landmark in Lopburi province. It was a special place for me to visit. The weather was awesome no crowd at all. They take care of the place in a good way. The ticket price is 80THB for foreigners. A good place to visit if you love history.

Nestled in the heart of Lopburi, King Narai's Palace is a captivating historical site that transports visitors back to the 17th century. Originally constructed in 1665 with assistance from French and Italian engineers, this stunning palace complex was designed to host foreign dignitaries. As you stroll through its beautifully restored halls, gardens, and courtyards, you'll encounter a delightful blend of Thai and European architectural styles.
Great historical place and museum. The former palace of King Narai who let Siam gate open to Europe. Close on Monday and Tuesday.

A must visit when in Lopburi. It’s 200b for foreigner adults but children can enter for free, well worth the ticket price, you get an immersion of Thai history, and the grounds very well preserved. Go into the museum when it gets too hot.

Wonderful. It's 150baht for foreigners to enter. Free for children. Car parking is just inside the wall or there is on street parking around the outside. My 6yo daughter really enjoyed exploring the grounds and museums with me. Staff were all very friendly. Will visit again.
Phoebe J — Google review
If you've come all the way to Lop Buri, may as well see the only other main sight (apart from the zoo) and something different to the usual complex It is in large grounds and peaceful and quiet. Large amount of artifacts and a good explanatory history who was perhaps responsible for keeping away the potential colonists of France, Holland, Britain and the USA.
Carl B — Google review
Large and beautiful palace grounds. Lovely landscapes filled with green parks, tall trees (perhaps a century old), and ancient palace buildings. Some are completely intact, others are in partial ruins. It was nice to stroll through the palace and take many panoramic photos. The entrance fee cost 150 thb for foreign and 30 thb for local visitors. Kids can enter for free. We spent about 1.5 hours here.
Kumanan S — Google review
Duel pricing in place for foreigners, but I don't have a problem with that. Surprisingly good inside, big area with plenty to explore. Enjoyed the museums and would definitely recommend if you're visiting Lopburi. Added bonus, unlike many areas of the city, I didn't see one Monkey.
Geordie A — Google review
Very well worth the 30 baht entry for Thais. Parking available at the front of the museum for free. The Museum provides a lot of interesting history from the stone age and particularly concentrated during the height of lopburi influence (11th & 17th century). Lots of important artefacts that belong in much bigger museums. The palace grounds are not covered and can get very hot but still an interesting walk through the ruins. Ticket can be bought as combo with other lopburi attractions. Be wary of monkeys around on the roads outside during the late afternoons.

I saw the good reviews and decided to try it out. That was a mistake. This is the first place on my whole trip where the staff were legitimately unfriendly. Maybe they don’t like foreigners? The only upside was the strawberry milkshake was half decent. Otherwise, the food wasn’t great. Probably avoid if you can.

Therefore, try visiting here because you may obtain a lot of beautiful photos, which have you in pictures, taken by your sweetheart, maybe? haha Moreover, I couldn’t see any toilets, so I kindly request you to prepare yourself before visiting this place.

This sunflower field is a good experience for photographers and lovers of nature too. And at 20baht entry for adults it is a reasonable price. There were food vendors there, as well as novelty gift stalls. For children there is a small petting zoo. And out in the sunflower fields they have props such as windmills to aid as props for photographers. Worth a visit.

OMG what a beautiful place!!! We went during the Sunflower Festival, so was pretty busy, but not intolerable. Fields upon fields of stunning yellow Sunflowers with rolling mountains in the background with a huge Buddha statue situated in amongst said mountains who could ask for a better place to spend a couple of hour. Oh also up the road is a monastery with wild mikeques.

Take almost 3 hour train and take taxi again for reach the field. Don’t have public transport come here. Either drive yourself or take taxi. Sunflower field is very beautiful, some people said better come at morning, because the sunflower will face up. Taking photo will be more beautiful.

Really love the sunflower field. It's like dream come true. Mesmerized me when we were there. The view was amazing. Should go there. If you take a train from Bangkok to Lopburi it will take you about 2.5 hours,if by van ,about 2 hours. We took the train with the local to experience the 'adventure'. Tiring but new experience for us coz if you're not lucky you have to stand all the way from Bangkok to Lopburi.

Came on 19 Dec 2020 but seem they are all new plants. Should be better in Jan 2021. But the view and the wind worth a long ride journey.

Total disappointment. Forget about this Sunflower field for this season. This is supposed to be the biggest Sunflower field in Thailand but due to the lack of irritation with this year's 2017 raining season ends since End October, most of the Sunflower field has inferior growth, i.e. not tall and strong. Mostly under the normal height of 1.8 meter average even two weeks ago blossoming period. New buds are not developing for second blossoming as it shud be. The other smaller fields are better managed but this field has been abandoned since December. Not sure whether this field will be maintained or not next year. Most probably will be turned into sugarcane field. The magnificent view of Tall Strong Large Sunflowers and Rocky Hills will only be history and memories. Wait for next year and see.

No sunflower yet. According to local thai said, probably end December should be able to see it. Is a nice view though.

Sub Lek Reservoir, situated 15 kilometers from Lopburi town, is a natural reservoir offering stunning views and tranquility. It is recommended to visit in the early hours to avoid crowds and heat. The area features raft house-shaped restaurants along the road surrounding the dam, providing a pleasant dining experience with a constant cool breeze. Driving around the reservoir offers a peaceful connection with nature, especially on sunny days.
There is a cafe nearby and it is super cool with a great view of the reservoir and mountains. Its so relaxing. There are also fun activities like swimming, jetskiing and more. For me, the best time to go there is towards sunset. Golden hour ✨️

The King Narai the Great Monument, located in Lopburi, Thailand, is a significant historical landmark that honors one of the greatest kings in Thai history, King Narai the Great (1656–1688). Known for his diplomatic prowess and modernization efforts, King Narai played a crucial role in establishing strong international relations during his reign, particularly with Western nations like France and Portugal. Historical Importance: King Narai is celebrated for bringing Thailand, known then as Siam, into the global spotlight through trade and diplomacy. The monument stands as a tribute to his legacy and contributions to the country’s development. His reign is often regarded as a golden age for Lopburi, where he established his second capital. The monument serves as a reminder of his influence, not only in Thai history but also in shaping the country's relations with the rest of the world. The surrounding area includes benches and shaded spots, making it a pleasant place for visitors to relax. Cultural and Ceremonial Significance: The monument holds cultural significance, particularly for the people of Lopburi, where King Narai is deeply revered. Each year, the King Narai Reign Fair is held in February to commemorate his contributions. During the festival, the area around the monument comes alive with traditional performances, parades, and markets, allowing visitors to step back in time and experience the grandeur of the Ayutthaya period. Locals and tourists alike come to pay their respects, offer flowers, and participate in ceremonies honoring the king’s memory. Visitor Experience: The King Narai Monument offers a serene and reflective atmosphere for visitors. It’s an excellent spot for history enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning more about Thailand’s royal history. The park surrounding the monument provides a tranquil environment where visitors can walk around, enjoy the scenic landscape, or sit and admire the monument itself. The site is especially popular with photographers due to its picturesque setting, especially during sunset. Location and Accessibility: The monument is located in the heart of Lopburi, making it easily accessible by local transportation. Its proximity to other important historical sites, such as Phra Narai Ratchaniwet (King Narai’s Palace) and Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, makes it a convenient stop for those exploring the rich cultural and historical heritage of Lopburi. Overall Impression: The King Narai the Great Monument is a must-visit for anyone interested in Thai history and culture. It stands as a powerful symbol of one of Thailand’s most influential monarchs and serves as a focal point of pride for the people of Lopburi. Kraison Siharat Palace, also known as Yen Palace or Talay Chup Son Palace, is a historical site located northeast of the bus station. Built by King Narai the Great, it served as a guest reception hall and was used for studying astronomical events with Jesuit priests. The palace is surrounded by large banyan trees and houses prehistoric artifacts dating back 3500 years. Visitors can explore the museum and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere without any tourist rush.
The remnants of the palace buildings. The surrounding natural beauty. A chance to explore a lesser-known historical site. You will walk through the gap of the Bodhi tree, where it is believed that wishes will come true.

Kraisorn Siharat Palace or Yen Palace or Talay Chup Son Palace is another residence of King Narai the Great. It's builted before 1685 and used as a place to study the lunar eclipse on December 11, 1685, along with the Jesuit priests and people in the first mission sent by King Louis XIV. At present, there are still only large banyan trees with beautiful shady which has a strange appearance with a gap in the middle of the trunk. For the palace, it remains just only the brick of the building. No admission fee. Take only 20-30 mins for touring. Car parking is available.

Wat Nakorn Kosa, located in Lop Buri, showcases the rich cultural history of the region through its temple ruins. The site includes a ruined chedi dating back to the Dvaravati Era and offers guided commentary on its unique history. This small temple complex features a mid-sized stupa in good condition and intact bodhisattva frescos, making it an interesting place to explore. Visitors can also enjoy the view from benches surrounded by trees.
Like most historical sites in Thailand, this is good. I will visit again.

This is a small interesting temple complex not far from the cross roads monkey arch, but it's on the opposite side of the train tracks from the main shopping and temple area, so it's easy to miss. I like the bodhisattva frescos that were still intact unlike many of the other temples. The remaining columns also gave an interesting feel to the ruins. The site has trees and benches which makes it a nice place to sit and enjoy the view.

I usually don't leave reviews anywhere, good or bad, but this one really deserves it. Saved our trip 3 times One - the only place I could find that rents motorbikes, and good quality ones! Second, the only place I could find around for food that is vegetarian friendly, and very good food! And third, during the trip I fell down and sprained my ankle just after eating there lunch. Out of this bad luck, I was lucky that I was near this shop and their good hearted staff who helped me out so much until I could find a taxi to pick me up back home to Bangkok. Thank you very much, best place in lopburi 💯🙏

This is an old wooden house. The booking page shows that the dormitory room has air conditioning, but it doesn't actually have it, so it's like a sauna in the room. It's very painful. The house is made of wood, and it's not soundproof. The first floor is the hotel's own bar, which is very noisy until the early morning. Because the room is very hot, there are many mosquitoes. If you plan to stay in the dormitory, you must prepare mosquito repellent. The walls of the room are wooden boards, so it is very hot at noon, and the room is like an oven. The blanket on the bed doesn't seem to be changed every day. The attitude of the service staff is not very good, thinking that the older lady doesn't smile. The dormitory room pays 200 baht on the spot. The only advantage is close to the railway station.Provide motorcycle rental service

Lovely place and service. All menus we've ordered are awesome and have resonable price. But with my mistake that I forgot take pictures before start eating and make the pictures are not the exact amount and components. Winged bean Salad is the MVP of our lunch. It has mild taste and doesn't not too sweet. Most of my experience of this menu are a bit too much sweet except here's. Hot And Sour Snapper Filet,"Tom Yum Pla Kra Pong", is very good. It's not too spicy for people cannot endure the very spicy menu like european. Seafood With Red Curry Steam In Young Whole Coconut, "Hor Mhok Ta Lay", is fair like regularly restaurant but still can say it well. The last menu is Broccoli Fried With Shrimp. It's better than good. I think they cooked with appropriated flame that make it well mixed. I have 2 menus that highly recommend, Winged Bean Salad and Broccoli Fried With Shrimp. I feel not good about the outside decoration. I think they can make it better than this. At first i arrived, i don't feel good about the front. However, the interior and the inside atmosphere are much better. The price is reasonable. In the whole picture, i still recommend you to try.

We had a great first-time experience at Ban Madame Thai Restaurant, where we were impressed by both the high-quality food and the owner's passion for her establishment. Despite not making a reservation beforehand, we were surprised to find the restaurant full during this Covid-19 period. However, the owner kindly managed to find us a table. Unfortunately, we weren't able to try their highlight menu item cho muang as it was sold out, but she recommended other equally delicious options.
I recently dined at Ban Madam Thai Restaurant and was truly impressed! The service was exceptional, with staff being friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. The dishes were absolutely delicious, bursting with flavors and beautifully presented. I especially loved the grilled pork neck with spicy dipping sauce—it was tender and flavorful. The variety of dishes offered something for everyone, and the use of fresh ingredients really stood out. I opted to dine in, and the overall experience was delightful. If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves authentic Thai food with excellent service and ambiance, Ban Madam is definitely worth visiting!

MadMeee is a renowned restaurant in Lopburi Province, known for its authentic Thai cuisine and simple yet amazing food. This shop is Good for Authentic Thai ( Thai-puan style) food. I recommended "Kang kua hed poh pra krai" which is Thai spicy coconut soup with Northern Thai popping mushrooms and fish balls and "Kha kob todd kra tium" which is fried juicy giant frog legs served with fried garlic. ENJOY.😋🫶🏻

The food was great. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the staff wasn't really patient with me as a foreigner. Foreigners can bring good business. Maybe, they were really busy...I can understand that.

Old local Thai Phuan people cuisine, been around for decades, many accolades and a must visit if you come to Lopburi - it does fill up for lunch crowd so come ahead. All dishes we tried were delicious. Their must try is the fried fermented fish sticks and coconut curry popping mushroom curry with bamboo shoots, green herbs and leatherback fish paste bits (the same fish used for Thai fishcakes). The curry definitely lived up to the hype and recommendations - a traditional Thai flavour you don't find often these days. We saw locals coming in to buy the curry and diners taking away the curry and fermented fish dishes. Service was quick, staff was attentive and the free dessert is also a rare find for Thailand.

Probably the best meal we had in 3 day trip to Lopburi. Lots of hard to find 'indigenous food' menus including the popping mushroom curry. Comes with complimentary kanom thuay. Highly recommended. Portions are generous so order carefully or you might end up with too much food. Parking is on the road in front of near the restaurant. We came at 11am so were early enough to beat the crowd. The restaurant gets very busy during public holidays though and they do not accept bookings for small tables (under 10 ppl)
