Its a really great Homestay/Airbnb. Its between the Tea estate and has one of the greatest views to offer from living room balcony and rooms balcony. Getting here is quite difficult. The roads connecting it from highway are narrower and google map location is not accurate, also there are many such stays besides it on the part of the hill so once you mistakingly go ahead of it, you cannot reverse due to steep uphill and no uturn possible. Also about food its better to have it with you from city as its tiring to ho back again out of hills to city for dinner. The caretaker couple is really nice and can serve you hi-tea snacks like pakoda, tea-coffee, and maggi. breakfast served by them is also good, paratha, idli. Really nice place to relax and unwind with friends and family.

Decent spot in Wayanad with nice views from the lake. They have pedal boats, but cycling them is quite tiring and not very smooth. The place is okay, not the best. But still a relaxing break if you're nearby and want to enjoy some quiet time.

Went here without much expectations and there is nothing either, it's just a walk around the lake and if you are interested in some boating you can go here. Also we went during rainy season, there were lot of leeches every one has seen the blood.

Pookode Lake is a calm and refreshing spot. I visited today and loved how peaceful the whole place felt. It’s a great place to sit by the lake, relax, and take in the view. There are a few activities like boating and small shops around, but the best part for me was simply the quiet atmosphere. Even with people around, it still feels serene. The place is clean and well maintained too. If you are in Wayanad and want some fresh air and a peaceful break, this is an easy recommendation.

A beautiful, picturesque lake that's a perfect spot for families with children. Just be aware that it gets extremely crowded on holidays and weekends, which means a very long wait for boating. We'd highly recommend visiting on a weekday to enjoy it peacefully.

Paying money fornthe park is a waste of since 80% of things in park is broken/not working. But we cannot do peddle boating or kayaking wothout paying to enter to the park which is waste of money. But peddle boating was worth of additional money spent. Great view.

It is a very beautiful historical place that we saw accidentally on the way back from Lakkidi view point. Even though it is located on the road side, there is not any proper place recognition board added purposefully to visit the temple. So, there are chances that the tourists may miss the location. We can see the mentioned chain as well in the temple.

The Karinthandan Temple in Lakkidi, Wayanad, is a small but historically significant shrine dedicated to Karinthandan, a local tribal chieftain revered as the guardian spirit of the region. According to legend, Karinthandan helped British officers discover the mountain route to Wayanad but was later betrayed and killed. Locals believe his spirit still watches over the Lakkidi Pass, one of Kerala’s highest and most scenic mountain roads. The temple, built in his memory near the famous “Chain Tree,” stands as a symbol of justice, local heritage, and the deep bond between Wayanad’s people and their land.

Small temple located at side of high way. There is interesting mythological story behind the temple , tree and a chain. I heard that the metal chain which is tied to tree,even grows along with the tree.

Chain Tree Wayanad’s story goes back to the colonial era. During those days, Wayanad didn’t have any developed roads. So, the British took help from the tribes to build a road. Only the local tribal people knew the way from Lakkidi to Wayanad through the thick forests. Karinthandan, a local tribal chieftain, helped an English engineer identify this route. But after his work was completed, the engineer killed him to take credit for finding the route. And the soul of the chieftain kept haunting the travellers who used this new route. A priest was then called to get rid of this mischievous soul of Karinthandan. And the priest called his soul into a chain and tied it to a tree. Although not everyone believes the story, and many people dismiss it as a myth, Chain Tree still attracts curious travellers. That same chain is still in existence, and it’s believed that the chain grows along with the tree. No one really dares to touch it, though.

The temple is small but significant for that area. Situated right next to the road near the Lakkidi viewpoint. We need to park by the roadside. The significance of the temple (according to our driver Binu) was that the area was notorius for accidents and after the construction of the temple it has subsided and become safe. We were told that Karinthandan was the tribal man who helped the British to survey the road/mountain, and was subsequently killed by the British to supress his history.

Small temple and tree with a chain.. historically it seems the tribal person who guided british near vytheri was shot after reaching the top. Later on some incidents seems to have occured and the tree was chained to stop those incidents. It seems there is a yearly pooja to keep the spirit calm

Only view from room is good. No nearby market, very remote in nature, no female attendant or support staff after 12 noon. Diapers were not allow d to be thrown in dustbin. One of the persons were too rude. Rooms are not clean.

It's class 2 rest house, Situated on Calicut - Kollegal Highway, Parking space is available. rooms are neat and clean. Toilets are okey. Beds and cot are old one. no mosquitos. Vythiri town is just 500 metres from here and Restaurants, Atm counters, other shops are available there.

When you visit Wayanadu, this is one of the best places to stay. You need to book your rooms via email and confirm it, it's an easy process. This is a reasonably new building and is maintained well. You won't get high end facilities here, but you can stay with your family and kids here peacefully. The staff here are so co operative and the accomodation is of good quality. They don't serve food here, but the Vythiri town nearby has a number of good food outlets. The view from here are nothing but spectacular. I've added a few pics of it, do have a look. Its located near the main road and has ample parking space. The Govt. rates are economical and you get more than what you pay for.

We tried several dishes here and overall had a pleasant experience. The chicken noodle soup was good and comforting. Chicken lollipop, a Chinese-style dish, was tasty but leaned a bit too sweet due to the sauce. Chicken sultana and dragon chicken were both enjoyable, though again, the latter had a Chinese flavor profile. The biryani rice was flavorful, and the chicken mandi biryani was simple, mildly spiced, and quite good — ideal for those who prefer zero spice. The watermelon juice was fresh and refreshing. One standout aspect of the place is the friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and impressively quick service. Definitely a good spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

The waiters are very polite and offer helpful suggestions on the menu. We visited again recently, and the food taste remained excellent. My wife and I visited Wayanad during Diwali and were recommended Wilton Restaurant by Jackson from Moonlight Homestay. The food was top-notch and the ambience was wonderful. The service by Mohammed Ali and his team was excellent. What truly stood out was the kindness of the manager, Shyam Kuttanary, who noticed that my wife wasn’t feeling well and, on his own, offered her hot water with lime and salt to help with her nausea. That small gesture added such a warm, human touch to our dining experience. We left the restaurant with full hearts, happy memories, and satisfied taste buds. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Wayanad for both the hospitality and the delicious food!

Honestly, we had to wait for the second night to get a table in this particular restaurant. And after trying those food, I completely agree, why there is so much high and why we had to wait. It’s a well planned, good, looking restaurant with curated menu, offering multiple options to eat from. The highlighted dish would be there Kunafa, which they offer in different varieties. Staff are really good as well. If you are anywhere near Vythri in Wayanad, I would definitely suggest you to try this particular place along with their Veg Restaurant counterpart Anna Bhavan.

Owner's behavior is very bad. As it is a roadside hotel, many people board this hotel. Other than that I did not feel anything good in this hotel. I checked into this hotel while taking a tourist bus with my colleagues as part of a tour. After the meal, even the driver's money was taken from us and the food was charged at a high rate. Usually drivers are tipped to stop in front of the hotel and given free food. We have no complaints about not getting a tip but we had all the above problems and that too after eating a really bad meal.

Had a very bad experience at this restaurant, which I wouldn't even consider one. Staffs served food like they didn't want to, the place looked like some old abandoned building with some furniture. The food was okay at best and the food is not worth the cost. The restroom stinked so bad that we could smell the bad odour from the hand wash area. Unhygienic place, rude servers(except for 1 who gave our phone which we forgot) and decent food is what you'll get If you go here.

The quality of service we received at the restaurant was subpar, to say the least. Our order was served reheated, resulting in an unappetizing taste. Moreover, we noticed a dark substance in the water we were served. Upon questioning, the staff told it is tea powder and failed to apologize or even acknowledge their mistake. The emptiness of the restaurant should have been a red flag, and our experience confirmed why. I cannot recommend this restaurant, even to my worst enemy.

Stopped by Lakkidi View Point and the view honestly took my breath away. The misty hills, winding roads, and cool breeze make it one of the most scenic spots in Wayanad. You can just stand there and watch the clouds drift over the valley it’s pure calm. It’s easy to reach and best visited early morning or around sunset when the view looks magical. A must-visit stop if you’re exploring Wayanad! 🌄✨

It was an amazing experience. Could clealy see the hair pin curve roads, the beautiful mountains, clouds and ofcourse the fresh air. You have to be there by 6 - 6:30am latest to get the most of it and spend an hour around, click pics etc. After that the mountains will be covered by snow (Koda in local language). If you aee staying in a nearby hotel, get up early, go to this place, come back and then have your breakfast n stuff. You won't be able to see anything after 8 - 8:30 am. No entrance fee and have few parkings on one side of the road. Since we reached there early, there were only a few tourists thus got parking very easily.

You can see serpentine ghat roads hidden in lush green hills. Sometimes you can feel and see you are above the cloud. Vehicles 🚜 ply in this ghat roads looks like toys . Parking is a challenge. Be aware of monkeys. This viewpoint is located along a national highway, surrounded by greenery and offering a scenic experience that automobile riders are sure to enjoy! The view becomes absolutely stunning during sunset, making it a must-visit spot. This viewpoint is located right on the last hairpin bend of NH766 and is one of the most beautiful and easily accessible spots in Wayanad. It offers stunning panoramic views of the Western Ghats and breathtaking sunsets. There isn’t any dedicated parking space near the viewpoint. Visitors can park their vehicles near the entrance arch and walk down to the spot. Unfortunately, some people park on the hairpin curve, causing traffic issues on the busy road. The views from here are truly mesmerizing. You can see the lush green valleys below and the majestic Western Ghats stretching into the horizon. If you walk a bit further below to the next curve, you’ll be rewarded with a magical sunset experience. Comfortable for adults. But no enough safety for kids. Dry rides have no belts and locking system. Kids and adults pools are very close without any barrier. Staffs are very supportive and all other things are comfortable excluding above noted things. Expecting to note my remarks.

Note: For swimming pool, cotton cloths not allowed so better get your swim suits or jersey cloths. Inside restaurants, tug shops available. Adult:799 Kid: 599 Senior citizen: 300 Suggestions: Pool is too much chlorination bleach smell needs attention. Kids play items to be more and cleaned frequently.

This was my first trek in my life i was little nervous but i went with my fellow Hosteller they helped me to trek It was 2kms distance what they said but because of curves of paths it might be 5kms and it took us 1 hour but worth trekking we went in early morning around 5pm gathered and ate Maggie as a breakfast and started the trekking Worth trekking and it was so cool breeze and full of greenary and i drank the mountain water💧which was flowing by side and we went to heart shaped lake again i tasted those water it was cool and very clean most memorable day in my life It was a Misty day, we had a very good experience at this peak,nature is truly amazing.Now they have revised the price,now the price for trekking is 4000 bucks for 5 people. And 800 bucks for an extra person. If you are 1 or 5 you need to pay 4000 bucks. The trek itself is magnificent as we go through lush tea estates and a thick canopy,after passing this we enter a thick shola vegetation.The peak itself is closed to The public as we only get to go to the heart shape lake.special permission is required to go the peak. The forest department has kept the lake and the surroundings clean as there is no sign of plastic. Overall we had a very beautiful and amazing experience.

5 kM up and 5 kM down mountain trekking needs good strength but leaves a permanent great experience in your memory. We can see Elephant foot traces all along the trekking path and lemon grass all over the mountain. Once you reach top of the Chembra peak, you can enjoy great view of other adjacent mountain covered with moving clouds and heart lake.

Best trekking spot in wayanad and suitable for beginners. The trek is around 3Km and visitors are allowed to until heart shaped lake not to chembra peak which is highes point in wayanad due to safety concerns. Only 288 people are allowed per day. Please plan to reach this spot early in morning to get tickets especially on weekends. We reached this spot by 4.30am and got ticket. For a group of 5 people 4000 is the ticket price. Steel water bottles will be provided once you make payment for the ticket. And few shops are down there to have ur small breakfast. The chembra is known for the very famous heart shaped lake on top and breathtaking 360 view and challenging treks.

Nature at it's best, trekking for around 2 hrs for this beauty, wonderdul landscapes and stunning greenery. The place should be in every trekkers bucklist.

We visited the Wayanad Tea Museum, located in a scenic tea estate just 15 minutes away from town. The museum showcases some interesting displays about the history of tea plantations from British times, and there are a few adventure activities available nearby. However, the overall experience felt a bit underwhelming. There was no tea tasting, and while there's a café on site, most items on the menu weren’t available—only basic self-service tea. We also felt the absence of a guided or curated tour, which could have made the visit more informative and engaging. A lovely setting, but with more structure and hospitality, it could be much better.

We had a nice visit to the tea museum. It was quite educational, offering a good look into the history of tea in the region through old photographs and well-preserved equipment. It gives you a solid appreciation for the heritage. The one thing that would have made the experience truly excellent is if there was a live, working factory section to see the tea-making process in action. Seeing the machinery in use would really bring the exhibits to life. As a final tip, don't leave without trying the biscuits at their cafe! They were genuinely delicious and paired perfectly with a cup of tea. They are a bit on the pricey side, but worth it for a treat. A good visit overall, especially if you're interested in the history of tea.

Wayanad museum is a place to learn about the history of Tea in India. There is decent a display of old machinery as well. Can spend about 30-40 minutes. Ticket price is 50 Rs. Parking is available. Tea shop on the top floor selling fresh tea and other items. The road to reach the place is extremely beautiful. Can be made more interesting.

It has tea garden right next to it, the entire place is divided in 3 levels, where you can explore history related to tea. They did not provide any tasting session, instead we had to buy from their cafe. This place has parking as well.

Well there is also a beautiful cafe with a scenic view where you can taste different varieties of tea. Great place. Parking is available free of charge and also there is an adventure zone besides the museum for some activities here. Do reach this place early in the morning as it gets closed very early in the evening Please do call them and verify the timings as they also may close down early.

Museum is located in main road via Banasura dam and vythiri Road. Three floor building, Tea factory which is converted to a Tea Museum , displays photos and old machine, Has cafeteria on top floor . Disappointing is it's just a Museum of old machines, no body there to explain too. Only force to visit cafeteria for paid Tea. I wanted to visit tea factory just curious to show kidshow tea leaves processed and packed.

Place is decent but food taste was not upto the mark. They have very minimum choices. Paneer butter masala was pathetic. Chicken masala was below average. Refer the paneer masala image which we have left.

Some friends, families and kids were on a trip and was getting delayed due to rain. Stopped at Mywo for brunch. Good and tasty food. Superb service. Had hot porotta and fresh beef roast for breakfast as early as 11am. Both were superb. All veg items ordered were good too. The owner was kind enough to manage some of our adhoc requests like boiled bananas,eggs for the kids. Best part: The Bill was very minimal inspite of the quality. The outdoor seating is another good attraction, and so is the parking space for like 2-3 buses

While our stay in Zanbaq, we tried break fast from this hotel. We ordered Porotta and Appam with egg roast. Taste wise its good and service also nice. This hotel having 2 huts too for serving the food.

Owner is himself confused about this rules and regulations. First he said pets are allowed we travelled all the way later he said it’s not the case. There was not a single person in the restaurant.

The fried rice had hair in it The fried fish had a raw smell The gobi in gobi manchurian was not washed properly The buttermilk was too spicy. Instead of giving a cooling effect , our stomachs were burning. We had asked for napkins and regular water as soon as we sat down and it took a reminder for the water. As for the napkins, we ended up going to the billing counter and taking it ourself The plate were also not cleaned properly and had some food stuck on it

Had breakfast which was served fast and tasted delicious. Being a North Indian it's hard to find restaurants that provide such delicious south cuisine dishes. Must visit this awesome restaurant if you're staying in Vythri. It's located on the pozhuthana road which is less than 1km detour from Vythri wayanad main road. Abundant parking space and seating capacity. Both veg and bon-veg dishes are served here. I had ghee masala dosa, vada and coffee for breakfast. Cost - ₹ Food - 4.5/5 Ambience - 4/5 Service - 4.5/5

One of the worst Briyani I ever had, and when mentioned to the owner the same, he has no idea about what he is talking, will never suggest this place for anyone .

I stayed at Lakkidi Village Resort expecting a relaxing and well-maintained environment, but the cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. When we arrived, our room had a strong musty smell, and it was obvious it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The bedding didn’t look fresh either, which made it really uncomfortable to sleep. The pool area was just as bad. The water looked cloudy, and there was debris floating around for hours without anyone cleaning it. The poolside chairs were stained and sticky, and the entire area felt neglected and unsanitary. It’s clear that cleanliness and maintenance are not a priority here. For the price we paid, this was a huge letdown. I would not recommend this resort unless they make serious improvements to their housekeeping and facilities.

Had a wonderful stay at Lakkidi Village Resort! The swimming pool was definitely the highlight - clean, well-maintained, and set against a beautiful natural backdrop. The view from the resort was absolutely beautiful especially in the mornings. Our room was spacious and comfortable, The whole place has a peaceful vibe, perfect for relaxing. Overall, highly recommended! Would love to visit again.

The resort needs a lot of improvement. Rooms need maintenance. The tea cups kept in the room was full of dirt. Pool is not maintained well. The dinner served was not worthy. No taste at all. The breakfast was ok compared to dinner. After settling the room bill we have to ask for getting the physical copy. They are not giving supporting bills also.

It was a worst decision ever!🚨 The bed was supposed to be a spring mattress, but it felt like sleeping in a ditch—very uncomfortable and I couldn’t sleep at all. The fan made a loud, irritating noise all night. Even the sandwich was terrible, with hardly any filling. The gaming activities were poorly managed and disappointing. Equipment wasn’t working properly, and the overall experience was frustrating rather than enjoyable. Definitely not what I expected. Not worth the money. Overall very bad experience

Never have I ever had a worse experience at a resort. I paid ₹15,000 for what was advertised as a “2BHK villa,” but it felt more like a rundown OYO room. The place was old, poorly maintained, and dimly lit, which made the entire stay feel gloomy and uncomfortable. It rained the whole time, and despite multiple requests, they didn’t even bother to provide umbrellas. Basic hospitality and guest care were completely missing. We raised our concerns several times, but it was clear that the staff simply didn’t care. Definitely not worth the price or the hype. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

This resort is great. The staff is impeccable and well behaved. The food was very good. It is a very clean resort. Overall it is great. I had a good experience there.

Not Worth the Hype or the Price I had high hopes for Taste and Mist, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The food quality was extremely poor—dishes lacked flavor, freshness, and any real effort in presentation. Even simple items were either overcooked or underseasoned. To make matters worse, the portions were incredibly small. For the price they charge, you’d expect at least a decent serving and some level of taste, but neither were delivered. It's frustrating to walk away both hungry and feeling ripped off. Definitely not worth the money. There are far better places around that serve tastier food at a fraction of the cost.

After driving in from Bengaluru we were searching for a good spot to have Kerala meals. And this place didn’t disappoint. The food is very cheap; we had to fish meals and 2 anjal fry along with lime juice. Taste was amazing and we ended up with a hearty meal. Overall bill was around 670 which is very cheap. Icing is the view of Chembra peak while enjoying your meal.

The food was good with a wide variety of options on the menu. Many nearby properties order takeout from here. Prices are reasonable. There's plenty of dining space available. Highly recommended.

The service over the place is the best. Food tastes good. It's a nice, neat and spacious place. Staff behaviour was quite pleasing and the food was excellent too. Good parking space. Ambience were good. There lunch was super especially beef dry fry.

The place is really well designed for having food and meeting with people. But the menu card is just for name. Most of the item are not available. We must ask what is available and then order. However, the dishes are not cooked/prepared as per the dish name. They all taste different than expected. Well for space and staff 3 star is recommended. They do have basement parking for guests. We only used the restaurant not the stay.

I give a full 5* for the ambience and layout of the Restaurant. Vast choice of food to select from. Washrooms were extra clean and away from dining area. Ample seating arrangements, cradle for babies, decent quality crockery and cutlery, well mannered staff etc. are a few points that I found worth mentioning. Parking facility is available. Located in the heart of Kalpetta town on the Highway this place would be an ideal choice for travellers. Rates are not on a very high side but it's not cheap either. I felt that the portion size could have been a little more for the price a customer pays. Strictly speaking personal, I found the taste to be average to satisfactory and yes maybe it's because of the food I chose or the time I ordered the dish

This is the third time I am visiting this restaurant and i must say that food is exceptional. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had fish meals which was outstanding. The fish fry also was exceptional.

Looks beautiful! Fish smell just hits your senses. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Kerala paratha, egg roast, non-veg meals and the fish were good. Thumbs up from the three of us who ate our lunch there.

Went for trying out the youtubers favourite apam and chicken stew but since i went during noon it was not available ended with beef briyani but it was not cooked properly very rubbery not recommended my experience with restaurant was bad

We went here for lunch.. Ambiance is really good. Very neat and clean. We ordered non vegetarian thali and chicken biriyani. We got the order very fast. The biriyani was good.. The non veg thali was exceptional with wide variety and was very tasty..the payasam in the thali was so good that we asked refills 2 to 3 times. The staff was more than happy to serve us..the restrooms are clean and well maintained.

We arrived at 10.15 no one acknowledged us. Eventually we spoke to the person making toast and were told only a buffet breakfast was available, nothing from the breakfast menu. There was very little left so they agreed to make some fresh toast, pooris and dosa for us. The toast was soggy and barely toasted. The pooris were fine but the bhaji was tasteless. The dosa was edible but cold and covered in black specks which looked like something had burned on the tawa and they hadn't cleaned it off properly. The sambhar was tasty but cold. On the whole the place is badly managed and staff are not attentive. Tables had not been cleared even though when we arrived there were very few customers. The toilets were clean but one was broken. No toilet paper and soap dispensers were empty. Toilet doors were not clean. This used to be a good restaurant but standards over the last couple of years have declined drastically. I would suggest this place is avoided until their standards improve. .
