Reus in 3 days

If you only have 3 days to spend in Reus, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Reus is best known as the birthplace of Antoni Gaudí and for its impressive concentration of Catalan modernist architecture, showcased on a well-signposted walking route through the historic center. The compact old town offers lively squares, shops, and cafés, with several museums and cultural centers that explain the city’s artistic heritage. Reus also has a long tradition of vermouth production, with bars and bodegas where you can sample local varieties. Its location near Tarragona and the Costa Daurada makes it a convenient base for combining city sightseeing with Roman ruins and Mediterranean beaches.
With favorites like Ferran Cerro Restaurant, SINGLOT by Singla & Co, and Teatre Fortuny, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Viena and La Tagliatella so you can get the best taste of Reus while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Shopping
La Fira Shopping Centre is a modern and roomy indoor shopping destination that boasts an array of diverse merchants, a dining area with multiple food options, and a cinema. The retail complex is extensive with numerous stores to choose from, and there is plenty of underground parking available. Convenient lifts and escalators transport visitors between the five floors of the structure. This one-stop-shop has everything you might need inside its walls.
Really nice shopping mall. Lots of lovely shops and there is Bowling and an Arcade too for the kids. The staff in the arcade are lovely and very helpful. There are several really nice restaurants and a couple of cafes. Well worth a visit.
Laura M — Google review
It's OK there's 4 floors to shop on mostly brand names one floor is for food with a good selection of outlets to choose from. Like all brand outlet shopping centres really nothing different about this one. If your in Ruus it would be worth visiting but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so.
James L — Google review
Takes 25 minutes from main Reus bus station. Use Google maps to locate. Nice shops Mango, JD etc. places to eat on the top floor but virtually no-one in them. Only go if you are really stuck for somewhere to go. Otherwise stay in your resort. The old town of Reus is excellent. Some lovely squares and shops and nice cafe/restaurant.
Gavin G — Google review
Large shopping centre with 5 floors (3 of shops, top one is food and cinema and bottom is the car park) connected by a lift and escalators. There's an okay selection of shops - toys, clothes, sports, pets, phone, sweets, makeup etc. There's also a cinema, nail salon and a few restaurants. Plenty of toilets too and they are clean. Unfortunately I do have a few complaints. Most of the shops were closed which was disappointing. There was also no supermarket, there is one close by though. There's no chemist either, and none open close-by. There is also free unlimited WiFi, but it is very slow.
Christian D — Google review
Nice centre with open roof area to sit in the shade. Very quiet on a Saturday morning early and a lot of shops not open.
Breda O — Google review

Vermuts Rofes is a restaurant located in Reus, Catalonia, housed in a former vermouth factory with a rich history dating back to 1890. The factory was once connected to the train station through special tunnels for exporting its renowned vermouth all over Spain. Although it no longer operates as a vermouth factory, the restaurant still exudes the aroma of vermouth throughout its premises.
Nicest restaurant in Reus! Really delicious and top quality food and very attentive service. We had our dinner in the terrace which i think was the best part of the restaurant but also has different parts that you can enjoy. Been here twice and the quality was always the same. Special hands up to our waiter Ethem, you can understand that he loves the job and very good at it. You can have vermouth in every restaurant in Reus but you can feel the difference in here. Thank you for the top notch experience.

We enjoyed a relaxed lunch next to the cellars. Very nicely cooked food, served with a smile. We felt good😄👍
Markus M — Google review
This place is a must visit in Reus. A very authentic Spanish dining experience and great value for money. The restaurant also has a great history. It is part of the historic Rofes Vermut distillery. I recommend trying a glass of Rofes Vermut with some olives before lunch. It is a 100+ year old Vermut brand that is hard to find anywhere else in Spain! Brilliant restaurant!

Really cool setting in an old vermouth warehouse with a fancier sitting room as an annex and a relaxing indoor terrace. Food and service were really nice. Worth the detour if you are in the area

We liked it. It's a special place, full of history, tradition and delicious vermouth and tapas to taste
Gabriel — Google review
Amazing! Cozy atmosphere elegantly decorated with old glasses of vermouth and plants. Efficient and very kind customer service at table with personal suggestions. We had several dishes to share with vermouth, among those our favourites were the Burrata and the Croquetes. Reasonable prices, good quality and food display, all in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They sell homemade vermouth per bottle 1L from 7€ to 12€. Definetly recommend it!

It prides itself on its quick and efficient service, coupled with a delectable menu that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning palates. The restaurant offers a wide array of mouthwatering dishes, ensuring that there is something for everyone to indulge in. With prompt customer assistance and scrumptious cuisine, Viena undoubtedly stands out as an exceptional fast food establishment.
We went in a really busy day and even the long line, the service was great as always. The food was delicious as usual in the Vienna restaurants. The building in the Vienna plaça del Prim is a really nice building especially inside. Totally recommended if you want a good quality fast food.

Stopped in here for coffee and cake. Staff were cold and unfriendly. The coffee and cake were good.
Phillip O — Google review
Reasonably priced fast food for central Reus. By no means authentic but relatively interesting menu
Xi W — Google review
One of my favorite places in Reus. Yes it is a fast food (their croissant is the lightest and softest in the area! ) yes the name Viena does not have anything to do with viennoiseries, but they also never claimed it did. But what makes it stand out from other places is definitely the staff. I want to give a special mention to Aida and Assia who are always smiley, helpful, kind and attentive. They are a real asset for this company and they deserve recognition. There are so many coffee shops in Reus, but many of them are like factories, staff don't even say good morning. The human touch is what makes the difference. I don't relate to the negative comments because in over a year going to this place almost everyday I have never once had a bad experience. Kudos to them. And a big thank you.

Great service and food.

Very bad service. This has many cafè restaurant branches around tarragona like in Reus, les gavarres and Tarragona, I have been to all and the one in les gavarres has better service, better view and chilled servants, and they do speak some English, the lady working there were so kind and helpful. But the two other places have the worst service. Like they let people skip lines, when I asked them to not put the lemon in the Royal tea the waitress said YOU take it off, and I said it will have already ruined the taste by then, but still she didnt. It is very expensive in there. I mean for God's sakes, even the restrooms are private and u need a password to access it. When it comes to Wifi service, trust me the worst, actually it doesnt even work. The food is tastless, I rlly just dont understand why I went there three times...
Axl F — Google review
Looking authentic but clearly not, “Viena” has a great location, and not much else. It’s ok for a quick stop, but don’t expect fireworks.

Had a solo meal at La Tagliatella today and, as usual, the service was exceptional and efficient. The melanzane pizza was delightful, and the mini trio of desserts - coffee, tiramisu, and truffles - were all delicious. Arantxa, our waitress, was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. Recently had a fantastic family dinner at La Tagliatella. Our waitress Estela was one of the best we've encountered.
Here nothing will be for nothing, but worth it. Nice stuff, meal in time, big enough to get a shopping husband filled. Prices cat 3, but OK, my recommendation.

It had nothing to do with Italian food … It was disgusting. No salt, no flavour what so ever. Paid and told the waitress that she maybe could let her kitchen know cause it was horrible. We went to the burger king to get something for my youngest cause he ate nothing of it…

Kokoro Japanese Restaurant is a highly recommended dining establishment that offers exceptional service and serves fresh, delectable dishes. While the restaurant's servings of wasabi may be small and mild, it compensates for this with its high quality cuisine. Though slightly pricey, the food is well worth the cost. Despite being busy on Fridays, Kokoro maintains a calm and soothing atmosphere. The menu items are perfectly timed and delicious, with generous portion sizes.

Plaça del Mercadal in Reus didn’t fully capture my attention. The square has its charm, with historic buildings and open space, but it felt a bit ordinary and didn’t leave a strong impression. There are cafés and shops along the edges, and a few people strolling through, giving it some life, but overall it lacked the vibrant or unique atmosphere I had expected. It was pleasant enough to walk around, yet not a place I felt drawn to spend much time in.

The Gaudí Museum & Tourist Office is a contemporary museum that showcases exhibits of the renowned Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí, located in Reus. Visitors are encouraged to explore and experience his works of art, housed in the heart of the city's historic district. The centre offers an immersive audio-visual experience that engages all senses and portrays Gaudi's genius through well laid-out displays. The admission prices are reasonable, and the building itself is a testament to good architecture.
We enjoyed our visit to the museum. It's not large but interesting with boards in six different languages. There were audioguides or you can download a QR code and use your phone to get explanations. You can take photos in the museum but you may have to come out of the qr code site. We enjoyed the audiovisual items and being able to touch most exhibits. It's great the museum is open Mondays however the cafe is shut Monday and Tuesdays.

This was a great audio tour and representation of how Gaudi thought, his concepts and history of his life and main works. Casa Navàs is an exquisite modernist mansion located in the heart of Plaça Mercadal. A timeless jewelry. I enjoyed very much the guided tour. You should ask at the entrance at which hours they have the English version tour. All the tours are guided, but in Catalounian or English (and French? Not sure). Also you can't take pictures in every room so I will post just what I could photograph. It was a very well designed house and with some features that seemed ahead of its time. The ticket it was a little bit too expensive for me, 16€, but it was worth it.

For the price value ratio, I don’t think that it was a top experience. I enjoyed the starters especially the one with fig and aubergine. But my main dish was simply blend. Very nice service.

Casa Coder, located in Placa del Mercadal, is housed in a historic building with original decor. Established in 1901, this restaurant has a rich history and is known for serving the finest Spanish dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. Despite being understaffed at times, the service is commendable and the staff are friendly. The menu offers a variety of tapas and main dishes at reasonable prices.
Excellent Spanish food for a decent price. Really good mussels and seafood, with a great fresh taste. They are very generous when giving you drinks and the service is very good. Usually they take a while to serve because they're understaffed and juggling several tables all at once. One of the waitresses speaks English, which is a nice surprise here in Reus, she's very kind and patient! If you're looking for a nice meal with a budget, definitely give this place a shot.

Pizza restaurant
La Tagliatella, an Italian restaurant in Reus, offers a pleasant dining experience with friendly and approachable staff. Their pizzas are delicious, with a variety of flavors to choose from. The restaurant is located at a charming square in R which adds to the overall ambiance. Although it is part of a chain, La Tagliatella manages to deliver a familiar taste using high-quality and fresh ingredients. However, like most chains, there is room for improvement in terms of service.
Amazing place, you have to try it. It is on a very cute square

If you want to experience a discriminatory experience go to this place. I went with my husband and sat at one of the outdoors tables. The waiter took our order and brought the drinks, a few minutes later a guy approached to us to let us that we need to move to another table that the table we have was reserved. However, we were moved to a table in back . What happened with the table we were asked to leave??? Nobody came just a couple who sit there and looked at the menu then left. Then a man with a girl sat in the same table and they got their order first than us. At that point we were very suspicious and went inside and talked to the waitress why people that came after us were served first than us. She was talking to the guy in the oven and said our order was in the oven when we order pizza as the same man with a girl who were seated in the table that we were asked to leave. We just paid the drinks and left. I asked the guy with a girl if the had a reservation and said no. This place is in the old town of Reus and it's not my first time visiting to Reus. I don't get it why such prejudice! Lying customers and them to sit in the back

As far as chains go, “La Tagliatella” is not bad - and it provides a familiar taste when you’re not in the mood for experimentation. Reus’ is solid - Italian-ish cuisine based on great, fresh ingredients. But, as with most chains, the service could be improved.

The atmosphere is nice but we had carbonara risotto, neopolitan pizza, and nepolian pasta or something like that, the risotto was awful the pasta thing tasted like bake bean juice and a hell of alot of sugar with some bad pasta and the pizza was like toast with some awful toppings. Saw this on the Michelin guide and got a table walking in. After being seated, they don't initiate any service. The workers are just standing around near you doing nothing. The space itself isn't that welcoming and the decor isn't up to par. We had a table right in the middle and it did not feel inviting. Eventually we just picked up and left after a waiter finally came out and explained there wasn't even salad available. If we stayed I'm sure we would have regretted it.
Lex B — Google review
We found the place by accident while walking by. In the low season it is eventually easier to get a table without reservation. Two amuse bouche were delicious. We ate a la carte, so we can't rate the menus. Oyster in olive sauce was a bit too sauer for me. The dishes with mushrooms, tuna, rice with lobster and scallops were amazing. The wine list is 70 pages long and good. The explanations given by Geo in English were brilliant. The restaurant is minimalisticly decorated which is the matter of taste. At the end of the dining we also got some desert pieces for free. Nice gesture. To sum up: We were delighted by this experience and would recommend this location.
Tatiana — Google review
I really wish I could comment on the food. The reviews suggest it is great. That's why we booked. We arrived on time at 10pm to a busy room. We were greeted, then seated, and then studiously ignored for 12 minutes. No menu, no water, no drinks, no food. Nada. Meanwhile the tables beside us received service. We made eye contact, as you do, with the waiters, which seemed positive. One even said words to the effect of 'one moment please', but then went to chat to two of his colleagues instead. We waited, hot and thirsty and bored. So, after 12 minutes of nothing, we departed and went to another restaurant who wanted to serve us, where the food was GREAT. But that is the topic for a different review. This was our most - our only -disappointing dining experience in Spain. Good luck!

The evening at L’Alkimista was simply WOW! 🤩 We chose the Omega menu and it turned out to be a true flavor adventure – every dish surprised us, delighted us, and left us with yet another little “wow” moment. Subtle, unexpected flavors and a presentation worthy of an art gallery. A huge THANK YOU to the chef for the creativity and brilliant combinations 🙌 and to the whole team for their warmth and attention. The waiters were wonderful – professional yet genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home among friends. This wasn’t just dinner, it was an experience we’ll remember for a long time. 🌟🍷🍽️ I see M☆ next year 😉

Amarena, an ice cream shop in Reus, is renowned for serving the most exceptional ice cream. It has gained such recognition that even staff members from other eateries recommend it over their own. The owner of Amarena is known for his pleasant demeanor and willingness to guide customers through the wide range of flavors available, some of which are unheard-of. Everything at Amarena is made on-site using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
THE BEST ICE-CREME! 🍦 😍👌 This is amazing ice ❤️ - and the prices are low. This is a family owned reasturant, where they make icecreme, from fresh milk 🐮💕 and you can really taste the difference!

I have to admit, I am surprised that with such a high number of reviews, an average of 4.9 points is achieved. Our experience was not like expected. Our pastries were dry and had a typical refrigerator taste, as if they had been in the fridge for days. The consistency also suggested that, as it was difficult to eat, and the poor choice of a wooden fork (when eating in the restaurant) made it even worse. Visually successful, the more important part of the culinary experience - the taste - was rather disappointing. The prices are not cheap, the staff seemed a bit unmotivated to us, our waiter came across as very disinterested. The cherry on top: there was no coffee in a patisserie/ice cream shop. What a pity... Maybe the ice cream is better here.

Located in the heart of Reus, Prioral de Sant Pere is a 16th-century church known for its stunning stained glass and a massive rose window. The bell tower, finished in 1566, offers panoramic views of the city and even Barcelona. This Gothic-style monument dedicated to St. Peter stands at the historic center near Plaza del Mercadal and City Hall. Visitors can also explore nearby restaurants and bars while enjoying the antique objects inside the church.
Reus is a beautiful city with loads of nice quirky old buildings. The church is simply beautiful and we went during a service. You can pay 2 euro to do a 30 minute guided tour which is well worth it.

Església de Sant Pere in Reus is a striking church with an impressive façade and a sense of history. Walking inside, the architecture and details show careful craftsmanship, and the atmosphere feels calm and reflective. While it’s beautiful and worth seeing, it didn’t feel overwhelmingly grand or awe-inspiring—more like a quiet, elegant spot that adds character to the city rather than being a must-see highlight.

Reus is a beautiful city, one of the things that we did is, we decided to do a tour of the bell tower of Prioral de Sant Pere. Finished in 1566, it has seven floors and when you get to the top, you have a 360 view of the entire city of Reus you can even see Barcelona from the top. This Belltower inspired Antoni Gaudi stairs in the Sagrada Familia. Not too far away from his home where you can visit as well and it right around the corner from the Gaudi Center too. You can buy the tickets on the same day of the tour. It is only 2 euros for a 30 minute guided tour. It has recently been renovated, and the site is absolutely breathtaking. This tower used to have four bells, but now it stands with one original bell. The bell tower has a Gothic style in the architect was Benet Otger de Lyon.

The Priory of St. Peter is one of the most important monuments in Reus. Gothic in style and dating from the XVI century it is dedicated to St. Peter (patron of the city). It was baptized by the architect Antonio Gaudi. It was built on the remains of Santa Maria Romanesque church and its bell tower is 200 feet high. It's in the historic center of Reus, around Plaza del Mercadal and City Hall.

Koop Too is an excellent establishment in Reus, known for its unique tapas offerings. The tapas at this venue are original and tasty, with standout dishes like bravas, pesto humus, and croquetas of Gamba receiving high praise. However, the sepia lacked flavor and had an excessive amount of black garlic puree. One must try the pan amb chocolate, which includes a delightful olive oil sorbet that is truly extraordinary.
We have had a great meal tonight in what I believe is one of Reus’s Best restaurants. Authentic and yet forward - thinking, Koop is at the forefront of Reus’ entry into tourist hotspot.

Very nice place with original tapas. The bravas, pesto humus and croquetas of Gamba were very good. The sepia was a bit tasteless and way too much black garlic puree. You should definitely try the pan amb chocolate. It comes with an olive oil sorbet that is amazing. Never had such a thing in our live!

Japanese restaurant
Ramen Shifu is a fantastic restaurant located in Tarragona, offering a great location and an inviting atmosphere. The interior is adorned with captivating displays of characters, making it especially appealing to fans of Dragon Ball Z. Despite potential language barriers, the friendly service adds to the overall enjoyable experience. The menu features a variety of options including delicious ramen noodles and other affordable choices. Additionally, the presence of a cute robot cat enhances the already pleasant atmosphere.
Good food, but some staff should be more customer focused.
Dariusz T — Google review
Really liked the ramen here! The broth was very flavorful. Had spice level 5 and it was perfect if you like your lips burning from the heat! The crispy chicken was not crispy unfortunately, but we did have it at 22:00 so it might’ve just been late. Wouldn’t recommend the rice since it wasn’t anything special. And it was too bad they had so many pork options (for someone who doesn’t eat that) and that it couldn’t be replaced cause the combinations seemed delicious. Staff was friendly, interior really cool! And they had a robot cat server which was funny.

Didn't plan to visit here but the decoration and artwork of the venue drew us in. Came in at opening time but were told to come back later. Came back and were seated. Food came out quickly. We had some wings and chicken karrage which were lovely and crispy and had a nice sauce. We had a spicy and non spicy ramen bowl each which was enjoyable but not the best. We would not rush back to this venue other than for the wings and karrage. It wasn't too expensive but was not bad.

Such a great restaurant, for several reasons! Our kids are fans of dragon ball Z so we couldn't pass this restaurant without entering. It is so beautiful inside, great walls, lights and displays full of characters. Service is great and friendly. Although the waiter couldn't speak much English ( and we just a poco Spanish) it was fun to communicate. He helped us great and with patience. Kids could choose the tins and so on. The food was delicious too! We had a fantastic table, food and experience. Thank you! For all the dragon ball Z fans, this is a restaurant worth to visit!

The flavors are outstanding and truly capture the authentic essence of Japanese cuisine. The dining experience is thoroughly enjoyable, with courteous and supportive staff members providing excellent service. The food quality is superb, meeting high standards in taste and presentation.
Amazing choice of Japanese dishes! The degustation menu is just perfect, it consists of four dishes, one drink and a dessert! Taste was amazing and authentic. We enjoyed it very much! Staff was lovely and helpful as well!

Decor was clean and welcoming, and the wait staff wore colorful yukata and were friendly. Miso soup and tofu were good. The sashimi fish and maki tuna and salmon were passable. I was surprised the sashimi was served with a plastic shiso leaf instead of the edible condiment , which I would have enjoyed.

(Translated by Google) I hadn't been there for many years and I left with a very good feeling. Very friendly and correct service. Sunday lunch a very good and complete menu for 17.9 euros. You choose 4 different dishes. I highlight the noodles with beans, the salmon tataki, rice with meat, eggplant salad.... the only thing on the whole menu that didn't convince me was the chocolate dessert coulqnt. The rest of the dishes are very, very good. The menu during the week and also on Saturday lunch is the same with three courses and 13.2 euros. Drink included, water, glass of wine, soft drink or beer. Coffee separately. We will definitely repeat. Ideal for going with children. We were so comfortable in the first review that the following week we went back with the children. Unbeatable treatment with them and we ate very well again. Incredible to find a lunch menu on a Saturday for 14.2 euros with soft drink included. By the way, they pay their customers an hour of parking at the Pallol parking lot. (Original) Feia molts anys que no hi anava i he marxat amb molt bona sensació. Un servei molt cordial i correcre. Diumenge migdia un menú de 17.9 euros molt bo i complert. Esculls 4 plats diferents.

The restaurant SINGLOT by Singla & Co offers a delightful ambiance and top-notch cuisine, served by skilled professionals. Their lunch menu is reasonably priced and includes unique dishes such as a watermelon, jamon, and walnut salad with a slightly salty flavor. The standout main dish is the lamb chops, which impress with their exclusive taste. For dessert, the sugar-balanced choco mousse is a treat.
Pleasant atmosphere with high quality food and professional staff. Had a lunch menu for a reasonable price. Salad - interesting combination of watermelon, jamon and walnut, but was a bit salty for me. Lamb chops as a main dish impressed with with exclusive taste. For dessert I enjoyed sugar-balanced choco mousse. Recommend that place.
