Atlantic Sea-Park is an incredible experience! The aquariums are beautifully designed and give you a close-up view of Norway’s fascinating marine life. The outdoor areas are stunning, with seals, penguins, and otters in spacious natural settings. Everything feels well-organized, family-friendly, and educational — perfect for kids and adults alike. The staff are knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. A must-visit if you’re anywhere near Ålesund!

A Great Aquarium We were taken to the Aquarium as part of a tour from the cruise ship. It was a lovely sunny day and there is plenty to see outside as well as inside. They have otters, seals and penguins (lovely!) and the keeper did a great talk about the otters in English. In fact all the staff spoke very good English. There are some great views outside as well. Plenty for children to do both inside and outside so a good place to visit as a family. Inside there are various sized glass tanks and a viewing tunnel where you can see the fish etc. There is also a large open top tank where you can look over and watch the various sea life. Lots of interactive activities for both children and adults. There is a great cafe too which had lovely cakes and food! Again the staff here spoke very good English. There is a shop with various souvenirs etc. Good clean toilets. The Aquarium is well worth a visit and we would like to go again one day.

This is a great aquarium and a must visit if you are in the area. There are a variety of exhibits and you’ll learn so much about the sea creatures of Norway and beyond! We loved watching various fish swim freely through the large tanks and listening to their knowledgeable staff give presentations on the animals (they spoke in both Norwegian and English, great for us foreign visitors!). Watching the diver hand-feed a whole bunch of fish is their large tank was very impressive.

Best aquarium I’ve been to! Talks were educational and interesting, as well as super cute! Loved the otters and penguins, you can tell they’re really cared for. If you’re in the area please go and support this wonderful place, I wish we had this in the UK, I’d be there all the time!

Great Aquarium with lots of different ocean species to discover. Great place to visit if you're staying in Ålesund.

I had a fantastic time at Atlantic Sea-Park! The aquarium is well-organized, interactive, and beautifully located by the ocean. The variety of marine life is impressive, and the feeding shows were both fun and educational. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the outdoor area with the seals and penguins was a highlight for the whole family. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area – a great experience for all ages!

Had a nice dinner there last week. Everybody in our company was satisfied. I took the trout which was really good! Good service and a really nice view of the beautiful Ålesund guest harbour.

We had lunch in this restaurant and we liked the bacalao so much that we decided to repeat again. However, the second time the service wasn’t so good, we were waiting a long time to order and it was a bit caothic. Besides, there was a problem with tap water in the city, so we ordered mineral water instead. However, we saw the waiter full the bottle in from a big jug and the taste was quite weird. I doubt it was “mineral”. The food is quite good but the service should be improved.

Get the codfish plate. The fish has Superior level quality. The kind you get in Lisbon. Snowy white meat and perfectly cooked as well. Top shelf stuff 👍

Just by the lake, lovely indoor and outdoor setting. Food and drinks were served quick and tastes amazing. Staff very friendly. Recommend the Annoburger- the best burger I have ever had!!

I had a lovely experience at Anno Restaurant in Norway. The location is perfect, with a beautiful and upscale atmosphere that makes it feel like a special dining spot — yet still welcoming and comfortable. We didn’t have a reservation and they seemed quite busy, so I was really grateful they were able to accommodate me and my mom on short notice. The frites were absolutely delicious, crispy and golden, and the sauce they came with was so flavorful — I could’ve eaten a whole plate just of those! I also ordered the mushroom pasta, which was so good I couldn’t finish it in one sitting and had to take the rest to go so I could enjoy it later. Rich, savory, and perfectly cooked. Overall, a wonderful meal with great service. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Delicious Norwegian food served here. Nice and cosy ambience too. The fish soup is milky and flavourful. The ingredients in the soup, fish and shrimps were so fresh. The focaccia with chicken was just as good too. This restaurant is self-service except for the dishes ordered. As for coffee, you can give this place a miss.

Jugendstilsenteret og KUBE is a fascinating blend of art, architecture, and history in Ålesund. The museum beautifully showcases the city’s Art Nouveau heritage through interactive exhibits and stunning design details. KUBE adds a contemporary edge, with thought-provoking modern art that contrasts nicely with the historical setting. The staff are friendly, the building itself is an artwork, and the view from the upper floors is lovely—a must-visit for architecture and art lovers alike.

Beautiful art nouveau building with an interesting display and movie on Norways's Jungenstil movement. Also, all the other displays and exhibits were set up beautifully with detailed descriptions in English. Really enjoyed our visit here!!

Very much enjoyed this gem of a museum, the innovative Time Machine (also in English if required) gave us a great insight into the area's history. The helpful team kindly rejigged the art nouveau history slide shows to also play in English. The downstairs display indicating the battles to preserve the local architecture were familiar, whatever country you are from. Coffee and biscuits available. A short walk from the cruise terminal.

I understood Art Nouveau much better after this illuminating trip. The whole building itself is a work of art and more immersive than expected. Lovely staff, quirky and honesty box run cafe, owls everywhere. It's as if a fantasy elf designed an apothecary and living quarters. The art museum attached wasn't that great tho but included in the price.

What a wonderful museum! I love small niche museums and this one is great. Architecturally significant for its Art Nouveau design. There is a great collection of enamels; things like teaspoons, decorative items, other tableware. There is some furniture from the era. And the front entrance is a former pharmacy with all the drawers. And be sure to look for the owls

Interesting museum. The time machine described the fire and reconstruction nicely. The top portion was only a house with affluent furnishings (but I have no idea about the significance of who lived here).

The food was excellent, the theme and location works well. The staff may be tries a little to hard to be funny and friendly, but we have had a good time every time we visit. And did I mention the food is excellent?

A place to be for Live Music Concerts and they do sometimes arrange Football and Movie Nights. But usually Club Music on the weekends.

The best club in the city so far. Only place in town bringing relevant djs and performers.

Oh my fellow cruise ship passengers if you’re trying to find acne Studios, Stella McCartney, a beautiful leather jacket, or some Sprekenhus candles, or Aesop body lotion, come to this small modern mall. They have one store filled with all the good stuff called Modo. Prices are fair. Loads of earrings by Maria Black and Tom Wood.

Very clean and friendly area. The port is very close to the town centre and is efficient in helping you get from the ship to the dockside.

Indoor shopping Centre that includes clothing, groceries, and a few eateries like Burger King and coffee. It feels pretty open inside (not dark or dreary) and relatively close to the cruise port so an easy stop if needing to purchase something nearby. Toilets are also on the top floor and mostly clean.

Located at the center of Ålesund city centre. Very well organized and decorated. Almost all types of shops like departmental store, clothing stores, restaurants are available. A good place of everything in a single umbrella. Toilet is free and access of wheelchair is available

Irish themed pub in the centre of Alesund Close to the port area. Fast and friendly service. Free WiFi and large screen TVs showing all kinds of sport. Usual high price for alcohol found in Norway. Didn't have any food so can't comment.

Great find in Alesund. Some great beers on tap, as well as Crow Moor Cider. Really enjoyed the Frydenlynd Juicy IPA. Just a couple of blocks from the cruise berth.

I was so excited to see this Thai restaurant in Norway. The building is beautiful from the outside, and the interior looks very lovely. It's a cafe and self-service style. You can scan the QR code to order and pay. But I opted for the order at the counter. I was so looking forward to seeing the food. Wow, they're amazing, came out very fast, taste delicious and 100% authentic Thai and the real taste of Thai. We ordered Pad Thai, stir-fried minced beef with chilli basil, prawns Tom yum, a single prawn tempura, all served with good-quality Jasmine rice. The service is great, fast and friendly. I love the interior design of this place. It's modern, clean, and comfortable. Must try! Bill is 838KR or around £63. Must try!

One of those restaurants I like to return to as a tourist. The food is great, prices are affordable and the service is good. You find the restaurant in the centrum of the city. Can recommend the burgers as well!

We ordered #21 Pad Kee Mao with prawn. The service was really quick, and the staff were very good. However, I think the chef should review the preparation of the dishes, as it wasn’t very good they mention dish will be spicy but it wasn’t spicy it was kinda sweet. I would rate it 4/10. The price also seemed quite high considering the portion size although I don’t mind paying more if the food is nice. The staff were helpful and resolved our issue quickly. Also, I noticed that if you take the food away from the restaurant, you don’t have to pay tax, but if you eat in, you do have to pay tax. But restaurants atmosphere is really good for everyone.

I was looking forward to trying Thai food, but overall, the experience was average. The soup was overly sweet, with a lot of sugar. The grilled meat was a bit rubbery, and the only thing I could taste was the dark soy sauce—no depth of spice. The Thai iced tea was very watery and lacked the rich flavor I experienced in Thailand. The taste was reminiscent of Thailand, but the balance could be improved.

Food and service was fantastic. I decided to order a spicy dish and it sure was spicy but the kind lady at the counter gave me an iced jasmine tea to cool down and that really helped me. The mango with sticky rice was amazing.

Pretty mild for Thai food, the tom kha soup was weird, very bland, needed lime and salt. The red curry was decent, although again very mild, but a good mix of flavors, didn't really need much of anything. Lastly, the mango sticky rice. Definitely the best I've ever had, with such sweet mangoes and such delicious soupy sticky rice. Definitely worth trying, and skip directly to dessert. Weird thing, the prices are higher if you eat in as opposed to take out. Sort of the opposite of the way we do things in Oregon, where to go items get a fee added.

Overall, we had a pleasant experience at this hotel, though there were a few areas that could use improvement. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Our room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel’s location is perfect for a stay in the city. However, there were a few aspects that fell short of our expectations. The breakfast buffet was fairly average for the price. Lactose free products and local specialties like brown cheese were missing, which was a bit disappointing. The bathroom was functional but quite small, especially the shower. Additionally, there was no shower rug, leaving the floor wet and slippery after use. Lastly, the pillows provided in the room were a bit of a letdown. We found them uncomfortable, which led to some neck pain and headaches during our stay.

Stayed at Scandic for 2 nights. The rooms are decent and get the job done if you’re staying for 24-48 hours. The superior rooms have a nice view of the cityscape and the water The biggest downside: Went out to get fresh air around 1AM, standing outside on the hotel premises by the smoking area. Within a minute I was approached by a taxi driver (he appeared out of nowhere) who made me feel uncomfortable and tried to instigate a conversation despite giving clear signs that I am not interested and want to be left alone in peace and quiet. He was very persistent about talking to me. The moment I decided to step inside the hotel, the man ashed his cigarette and disappeared, very strange timing. I felt very uncomfortable, especially as a young woman. So much so, that I now feel anxious going outside alone downstairs. While this is not the hotels fault, this is an important point for people who like to have fresh air while sleeping at night… Do not open the windows between Friday and Saturday night, if you have the view towards the water. Unruly tourists get so drunk that they think it’s ok to be screaming between 1-4AM. I had one of the worst sleeps of my life because of that

Often I choose a Scandic hotel as a first place. Because it is a good quality. The Scandic Parken is very close to some places such as Aksla viewpoint, Meet point for getting to Geiranger fjords. And the beautiful views to see the sea and mountains. I love it

I had a wonderful stay at Scandic Parken Hotel. The location is excellent—right in the heart of Ålesund, within walking distance to everything, including the harbor, shopping streets, and the famous viewpoint Aksla. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, offering a fantastic view of the city and surrounding fjords. Breakfast was a real highlight—an impressive variety of fresh options including local specialties, fruits, pastries, and hot dishes. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. The overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing, making it a perfect base to explore this beautiful town. I highly recommend Scandic Parken to anyone visiting Ålesund!

The location of this hotel was perfect for us (Alesund isn't very big anyway), and it was especially convenient that the bus from the airport stops right in front of the hotel entrance. The complimentary hotel breakfast was also the best breakfast I had out of all the hotels I stayed in on this trip to Norway, and probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! Highly recommend staying here.

Had a great dinner at Sjøbua tonight! Perhaps the best fish I have had in a very long time. Main dishes are around 450 nok. Make sure you make a reservation, it was fully booked when we went.

One of our final meals during our 2.5-week trip through Scandinavia was at Sjøbua, where we treated ourselves to the tasting menu—and we are so glad we did. It was absolutely mind-blowing. The service was among the best we’ve ever experienced (and we dine out often), making the entire evening a pleasure from start to finish. The setting is beautiful, the food is exquisite, and every dish felt thoughtfully and artfully curated. For a date night, it was everything we could have wished for. If you’re a fine dining lover, this restaurant is an absolute must. We had a lovely time and would definitely return if ever we are in town again.

Such a beautiful authentic historical setting and lovely service. Food was very highly priced for the quality. Parker rolls with smoked butter was outstanding- would have ordered the seafood platter but at 850Kn a person it was not reasonable. The cheese cart offering was also very small proportions for 320Kn a person. Just felt everything was overpriced and we have been in Norway two weeks already so are used to higher prices.

I was really looking forward to eat from this restaurant, as I was told that it's better than Apotekergata No. 5. But the food we had was underperformed. They were very salty, totally out of balance. Even when we told them that the lobster bisque was very salty, the other dishes came as salty. We had the sampling menu. In the end, we were glad that we didn't order individual dishes. The bread was not bad. It helped when the soup was unbearably salty. But I would say the lobster tail was fresh. The sampling order: The shrimp sashimi appetiser was not bad. The second best, if I have to rank the whole dinner, for its freshness. The next dish, lobster was mashy. Halibut was dry and didn't have the taste of fish. The sides and sauce for the quail were like drinking seawater. Quail was prepared nicely but tasteless as the sauce was too salty to go with. Best dish of this sampling was the dessert, which unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of it. The servers were helpful and polite, and service was good.

Booked this place near our hotel for a special dinner, early sitting. Nice decor with spectacular outlook onto the water. Polite staff but the menu wasn’t explained to us at all and they kept asking if we were ready to order. The table next to us got a detailed explanation of the menu and recommendations so it was clear we didn’t get the full explanation. We started with a couple of cocktails and caviar (why not) which were very pleasant. Caviar was served with brioche which I personally thought a bit too much and prefer blini and more simple flavour, it also came with cream and wild garlic oil and fish shavings which was quite nice. Sommelier was quite helpful with selecting a good Riesling off the menu. We had the langoustine and beef tartare which were both fantastic. They topped the entrees with caviar (black label) as well which was a nice touch. For the mains we had the dry aged turbot and this was so salty it was simply inedible. The best part of the dish was the single spear of white asparagus. The fried kale on top of the side greens was so oily and salty as well. The meal was going quite well until then so it was a huge disappointment and a letdown. We gave the feedback to the waitstaff, they acknowledged it and thanked us for the feedback but that was it. If our mains were edible I would have given this place a better rating. On this experience I cannot recommend or see myself returning.

A must do when in Ålesund. You get the classic view of the city. Most spectacular in a fine day but be careful on the steps in wet and stormy or icy conditions. My recommendation is to go up the stairs from Byparken (The town park) and the to come down the little used track that starts about 100m past the restaurant. It is much more peaceful and is more gently on the knees apart from the last steps.

2023/Jun, we drive from Kristiansund through Atlantic road cross several islands and did some stops and photo taking then arrive in Alesund. The second day we drive around city ,harbor and country side. Close noon time,we drive up to the top hill to enjoy the 360 degree view of beautiful Alesund sitting around by sea and cruise ships with her beautiful color houses. Later we enjoy lunch and wind in a restaurants beside sea and colorful houses, it may tell the spectaculars and specialties and beauty of Alesund.

You don’t need to buy any tickets here. If you want to go to the top, there’s a restaurant where you can have some drinks or food and enjoy the view from inside, or you can go outside to the top. But it’s better to experience the view from outside. I don’t need to explain it the view speaks for itself. It’s even better if you take some drinks with you

It is the the highest point inside the town to watch it from above. Amazing forests and paths to walk and enjoy the view. From the top you can get a 360 view. It is interesting to discover and walk through some tunnels scattered in the area. You can go there through the 400 steps, or through the road on foot or bus up to a point.

A highlight of visiting Ålesund is the view from Aksla Lookout Point (Aksla Utkikkspunkt) and walking down (or up) the 418 steps between Ålesund CBD and Mount Aksla. We were staying midtown, so walked up the quiet backstreets (Setrevegen, Fjelltunvegen) and trails to Mount Aksla. From there, we followed the pleasant wooded trail west to Aksla Utkikkspunkt. Later, we walked down the steps to Ålesund CBD. The wooded trail from Aksla Dam to the lookout point (Utkikkspunkt) was very enjoyable and not particularly busy until 100 metres from the lookout area. Also a couple of viewing spots along that trail. I think most folks take the tour train along Fjelltunvegen, and some walk along that road unaware of the trail the parallels the road. Aksla Utkikkspunkt and the 418 steps were understandably busy at the end of July but wasn't overwhelming (we saw two massive cruise ships docked below, and might have been others). A few very small stopping areas along the steps. Walking down (rather than up) the 418 steps seems to be an advantage because you are constantly facing different perspectives of the spectacular view. Visited at end of July 2025.

Wonderful view across the islands, just a short walk from where the bus stops. The bus was a little expensive but it was a bit too far to walk from the cruise terminal. On the day we were there, some locals where handing out free hot chocolate (the best I’ve ever tasted) and hot dogs.

The views are amazing. We took the mini city train to get to the top. Easy and interesting, but that will get you just 15 minutes to look around at the viewpoint. We saw someone else arrive by taxi.

Arrived by ship for the day, on a Sunday, so nothing open, but free to get into the viewing area. We walked up the slopes and 418 steps, but the town Road Train for tourists takes you up. Wrll worth it, great panoramic views.

So place was closed and had been for several months reading the feedbacks. Ok so a bit of a climb and when you get to the top the best view allegedly is from the cafe/restaurant. All closed so they charge NOK100 for the privilege ... Damn cheek really 😕 however some poor man paid and couldn't get through the barrier ... it's has been broken for ages yet they still STEAL the money 💰 and no view 😳. However walk up behind and the best place is marked a super view and nothing in the way ie ... trees bushes or large steel structure at the top. Oh by the way if there's a cruise ship in port be prepared for a "Locust Swarm" vying for the best views 😢 and the worst trait as we found with cuise locust was jam blocking 🚫 the path up and down taking several hundred selfie's. Our miss fortune was that we had 2 bloody cruise ships MSC Euribia & MS Rotterdam with 10,473 passengers spoiling the view.

The views were amazing. We had a sandwich, slush and a beer. The service was great. If you consume too use the restroom. We had our sandwich on the upper terrace where the views are amazing but windy.

Unfortunately this place was closed when we arrived. The views were amazing, but I would think the views from the restaurant would have been even better. I really would have liked to try this restaurant.

We climbed the 418 steps up to Fjellstua and it was worth every step. The views are stunning from the platform of the restaurant. We just had some cake and coffee but should have planned it better because the restaurant and food were very inviting. But the views really are to die for.

The place is not very aesthetically pleasing and it feels a bit like a canteen but they have gluten free cake and the coffee is good :)

Cafe wasn't open , so this review is based purely on the views, which are spectacular . If walking, then it's 418 steps and a number of slopes. However, there is plenty of seating on the way up to catch your breath and then lose it again when you see the wonderous views. I believe the land train train which tours alesund does go up here, I'm not sure on other forms of local transport. One way or another do get here its beautiful

First time today and had a really good time! You can train your swimming in the long pools, jump from the 1, 3, 5 and 7,5m towers, compete on the two slides and relax in the two saunas. The two whirlpools and the steam sauna were full unfortunately on a Sunday (as to be expected). The only negative thing: The price is pretty high. Would come more often if it was a bit cheaper, like maybe 150 for adults.

Loved this place. Just remember to bring a towel as they do not provide. That mistake will cost you $30. My kids loved the experience and the staff were friendly.

The place is beautiful. Modern, spacious and tidy. Beautiful changing rooms with lockers that are easy to use, without extra charge. Showers have also baby tub if you need it. There is something for everyone, slide, pools with different depths, access for disabled, caffe...

Really amazing swimming pool. The facilities are excellent, everything very clean and well organised. The kids had a lot of fun on the slides and diving boards. Would recommend if you are visiting with kids

Very good venue for children and adult. They server some food, and there is an area to sit for that. A place to spend many hours, if not the whole day - to enjoy the different kind of pools available.

Well lit and open space. The food is served in big portions. There is a lovely garden and seating out front if the weather is nice. Great place for happy hour or a full meal. The decor was very pleasing. Best of all was that the volume inside was just right for conversation.

YOU MUST GET THE CHICKEN SANDWICH! Im currently looking for the aioli type drizzle the put on the sandwich so if someone happens to be at the cafe and can ask them what sauce that is please let me know!!! (its the whitish sauce you see in the photo) other than that masterpiece of a sandwich, great service, excellent food, and phenomenal atmosphere. Advice for foreign travelers such as I, you don't have to wait to be seated. You can sit at any table as long as a "reserved" sign is not posted on the table.

Very nice place, decoration is nice. Quite stylish, warm and cozy. The food are really good and come in a big portion. Highly recommend “Bacalao” dish, delicious and tasty. The owners are Thai couple, live there over 10 years. They are both super kind and nice. Love there food very much

Lovely location with good food and thoughtful touches The café is nicely located in the city, with plenty of seating two floors inside and a spacious outdoor area. The staff were very kind and welcoming. I recommend trying the rolls, and the traditional pancake was an interesting and tasty choice. The double shot cappuccino was also quite good. It’s worth noting they have restrooms available and even two donation baskets for clothes, which was a thoughtful addition. There’s also free parking nearby, but be aware that it’s limited to 30 minutes.

We enjoyed a take out iced Americano and lemonade. It has the taste of light roast coffee and not too acidic - was expecting a stronger coffee flavour. Awesome little coffee place in town. We ate here multiple times for breakfast/brunch while visiting. They have a good selection of sweet and savory items. The coffee is quite good. The service was fast and friendly. It is a small place with seating on the ground floor, an upstairs section, and outside (when the weather is nice). It does get quite busy on the mornings and seating can be a bit tricky. Highly recommend when you are in town. Get the svele, which is a good Norwegian treat!

We were fortunate to enjoy a coffee and pastries at Racoon Coffee while visiting Alesund during a cruise. We were particularly impressed with the staff; as they went above and beyond to provide great customer service. The caramel latte was great and the coffee was excellent. We sat inside but they had a really nice outdoor area. The cafe was busy; understandably, but lines moved quickly.

Loved the coffee and cakes here! Nice atmosphere too. They do pancakes with brown cheese if you want to try something local :)

The reviews are spot on about this place - very good coffee, great cakes and fast service. It’s busy, and can be packed when there’s a cruise in town, but there’s always a seat inside. There’s only 1 toilet so there was a bit of a queue for that, but otherwise it was a perfect shirt stop for a coffee break.

Our 7 course meal was a wonderful and delicious experience. We appreciate the informative staff of our courses and their local origin. The food and drink were exceptional! The evening sun at the windows gave a perfect atmosphere.

The menu here is seasonal and our expected dishes weren't available. They had instead a multi course meal, fixed price meal. We're generally an unadventurous family when it comes to food choices, but this was AMAZING! Our server incredibly attentive and the chef, Jonathan was an artist. They all had such pride in each dish and not a single dish disappointed! This was our best dining experience not just in Alesund, but to date. We highly recommend and whether you're an adventurous eater or not, trust the chef! Every course was art.

The best meal we had in Norway. A commitment to using local, fresh produce and seafood. Our server pointed out the boat from our window that had caught the langoustine we ate. We tried the tasting menu to get a bit of everything. Worth it. We loved the crab and salmon the most. The seared minke whale was an interesting dish. Like venison and liver. Our highest recommendation.

Seriously one of the best dining experiences of my life. Delicious and creative food explained very well by the wait staff. The chef went out of their way to modify my wifes plates to accomadate her corn and egg allergies. AMAZING!

My fish and chips, came beautifully plated looking unexpected. The fish itself was tasty, fresh and of good quality. It came pared with one of the best side of fries I’ve ever had, extremely crispy and creamy at once; spiced perfectly. Take the crispy fish and chips and combine them with the sweet pea mash and the sweet fennel, contrasted by the sour carrots. Accompanied by a dip, made up from mustard, mayonnaise, dill and pees (assumptions), that was just refreshing, perfectly balanced and tasteful. The fish soup was tasty, fruity and nicely balanced with spices. The bowl came filled with a lot of fish and mussels. Alongside the soup came a few pieces of crispy and moist bread, as the waiter described it - the fish soup was heavenly and the fish and chips were fantastic. The service was kind and accommodating, all spoke perfectly fine English and tried their best with the other customers who didn’t. The restaurant is peacefully located of the Main Street, inside the Harbour area. The modern design harmonized beautifully with the traditional surroundings; allowing you to lean back for a hour and to enjoy your meal. The price was fair.

This is a good tapas bar with a nice view of the canal. Perfect for small eats.

Of course it is expensive small pprtions, but it is a tapas bar. Everything is looking amazing. Some courses are good, others are amazing. Cocktail and Mocktail were okay. Stuff is very friendly, Ambiente is perfect.

I love trying new places, but we enjoyed our experience here so much that we came back for dinner 2 nights in a row. Service was great, view/atmosphere was great, and the food was wonderful.

Fresh and tasty. Cabbage and smoky butter sauce (NOK 95) - Good. Interesting. Jamon de Serrano 24 months (NOK 109) - Good. Iberico de Bellota 48 months (NOK 159) - Good. Asparagus and crispy chicken skin (NOK 169) - Good green asparagus. Patatas bravas and tomato sauce (NOK 89) - Fine.

We had an incredible dinner here one night after having dined at the sister restaurant Bro. Excellent all the way around. The staff is tremendous and a special salute to the general manager Fredrik. He went out of his way to see we were taken care of.

When Bro was fully booked, we gave this place a try - they share a kitchen and are connected with an internal staircase. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos but our standout dish was the celeriac - it doesn't sound interesting but it was delicious. The bread with aioli was also really good. The ox was just OK and the toast bikini was waaaay too salty - almost inedible! Staff were nice but it took a while to get their attention as it was so busy. Prices were reasonable by Norwegian standards.

A must visit in Ålesund. For local food try the ground floor while for more international and a bit of fusion stay on the first floor.

I ate the gnocchi la ragu which was fine but one person in my party had the lasagne which had bits of hard boiled eggs. We saw the server once when we ordered food and never saw her again. Italians please stay away.

Man oh man. This place had pizza by the pound and it was outstanding. We tried two different ones and both were delicious. They were friendly and the restaurant was clean and bright. We had a great time hanging out on the patio. Highly recommend.

Pizza was fantastic with varieties to accommodate a picky eater in our group. Margherita had fantastic fresh tomatoes, burrata and a few basil leaves. It’s an order at the counter and pizza brought to your table type place so service is pretty basic.

I had a great experience at Cinque Minuti Coffee Shop and Pastries! The coffee was rich and smooth, and the pastries were absolutely delicious—fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. Visited while visiting this town and found this gem of a place. The service and food was excellent and managed to get a table for the two of us. Good level access from outside to inside and disabled toilet was excellent and clean. The pizza was exquisite and the coffee was brilliant.

We went only for desserts and bubbles - 10/10. Food looked great as well. Full venue on a Wednesday afternoon.

5 Minuti is a fantastic restaurant with amazing food! The dishes are full of flavor and beautifully presented. Whether you're craving pasta or pizza, everything tastes fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. It's definitely a spot that will leave you wanting to come back for more!

We went on an Easter weekend, the place was pretty busy with take away orders, with few regulars by the bar. The host was a delight, she greeted us and showed us to the table kindly. You have to order by the bar, both the food and the drinks. We ordered a couple of beers and Italian pizzas. Vegetarian pizza was tasty, with good toppings. Good portion sizes and good taste for the price.

Regarding pizza its one of the best in the City. I normal go there to enjoy pizza, beer and fotball. And can recomend them for very good pizza. Have not been there during night time.

19.1.24 As of writing this, this is my first time here. I was expecting quite good food from here but sadly that was not the case. I ordered an Italian Parmigiano, and two American style pizzas (I was not alone). The Italian was by far the worst form the bunch, the dough reminds me of those bad/cheap DIY pizza dough that you can buy at a store, the sauce was mid and the cheese and toppings were fine. The American was not much better, its the kind of pizza that's served at the bowling alley, and the bowling alley does a better job (take it with a grain of salt, I haven't been at the bowling alley in a while but I do remember it being much better there). And the last bad thing were the dishes, I noticed that the dish I got was dirty and the fork and knife were dirty as well. But when the staff came, she was very nice and helpful and changed it immediately. The atmosphere is great, it's quiet, not many people and it looks good from the inside. Sadly I would not come again with how the food is currently and for what I paid the food I got was not good, but the staff were great and so was the atmosphere. 5/10

10 March 2017 - perfect place, very reasonably priced (compare to many other places in expensive Norway), very fast service, pizza baked in real oven with real fire - smooth and tasty - exactly what you need to warm up in cold Norway. As pizzeria - highly recommended!

We came here because the reviews were good and left very disappointed. Ordered italian style pizza which was very below average. Price is in norwegian standards. The mozzarella and tomato sauce were of very poor quality, therefore the pizza was overall not better than a frozen one. Would not recommend to my ex.

Best pizza in Alesund. Was highly recommended to us by an American we met in the skybus on our way from Airport to city centre.. I'm glad we took his advise to come here 😋 Menu is only in Norwegian but u can always seek help from the Owner she's very helpful. Reasonably priced.
