Perched atop Mount Saint Angelo in Italy's Lazio region, the Temple of Jupiter Anxur is a first-century BC structure dedicated to the god Jupiter as a boy and young man. The ancient Romans referred to Terracina as it is, while the Volscians called it Anxur. From the Town Hall Square, visitors can admire this temple along with stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
incredible views of the coastline, you need a cab ride to the summit...but walking downhill to the town is a great walking tour of the area

Awesome location, awesome views, prices are very fair (10€ entry). However, they could’ve added more information (signs etc.) within the complex as you sometimes didn’t exactly know what which wall/building was.

The view is stunning. The archeological sites are interesting. There are a few areas that need fixing or not accessible which could be improved. The path is rough, it could be improved for people with limited access too at least to the main points.

This place is amazing, very worthwhile to come and see. The ancient ruins are fascinating and the views down onto Terracina and the ocean are stunning. Cost 7 euros to get in and worth every cent.

Worthy only if you happen to be in the area, as little is left. Best part is the well preserved cryptoporticus.

Absolutely magic place, half way between Rome and Napoli, that should be more highlighted and better known. With ancient Terracina downstairs one may feel like moving in time. The site was worshipped long time before the Temple of Jovis Anxur was founded. Wonderful place for pic-nick, and hiking, especially if you are without a car.

Terracina Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Caesarea, is a historic site with a rich blend of architectural styles. Originally built in the 5th century on the remains of a Roman temple to Augustus, it has undergone several renovations over the centuries. The interior features a beautiful marble ambo and 13th-century Cosmatesque flooring. The cathedral overlooks a picturesque square and houses three decorated altars and a stone pulpit resting on four carved animals.

(Translated by Google) Built in the early Middle Ages, the cathedral of San Cesareo in Terracina immediately captures attention thanks to the view it offers. The facade is introduced by a portico of ancient columns, decorated with animal figures and a splendid mosaic frieze. Next to it, the Roman-Gothic bell tower is enlivened by an elegant series of loggias. The triumphal arch and the interior, with three naves, are also beautiful to behold. The cathedral overlooks the monumental area of the city, where the medieval grain tower and the Roman archaeological area stand out. Historic Sites
Antico Complesso Monumentale del Foro Emiliano is a significant historical site in Terracina, offering a glimpse into the city's Roman past. The complex includes ancient ruins such as the remains of city walls, the forum with a surviving column, and an archway on the Appian Way. The site is currently undergoing excavation, but some parts are exposed and fascinating to explore.
Su much history and things to see and appreciate. Few areas were closed and off limits due to new excavations and restoring. Public buildings were closed (it was Sunday night) however picturesque shops and local restaurants were all open.

Very old historical complex from Roman times in the old section of Terracina a beach town 1 hour south of Rome you can also sit in the square...there is an old coffee shop that has been there for well over 100 years and have a great cup of coffee and relax.
Joseph O — Google review
The site is currently being exscavated but some of it is exposed and very interesting. Nestled in the heart of the antique centre of town, it's a true representation of blending of old and new, typical of Italian ancient cities. It's truly worth the uphill walk to visit the site, admire the views, have a bite to eat and soak up some history.

A magical place in the old part of Terracina. During the day you can admire the historical remains of the Roman city with the domus and the theatre. During the night, the old streets sparkles with lights and independent restaurants and bars.

Nestled in the charming town of Terracina, Italy, CONAD is your go-to destination for all things grocery-related. This well-stocked store boasts an impressive selection of fresh produce, dairy items, meats, and essential pantry goods to cater to every culinary need. Shoppers can also indulge in a variety of snacks and beverages while picking up household essentials. With ample parking available—despite some locals' penchant for occupying unconventional spaces—CONAD makes grocery shopping a breeze.

Caveat emptor: if the store makes a mistake in pricing and you discover this after you have paid at the cassa, they have a policy of no refund. They will offer a coupon instead, valid for your next purchase. And btw to be spent only in one go. They say: „this is because of the automatic cash desk“, I say: „lousy regards for client interest.“ And I wonder whom they mean with their slogan „persons beyond things“

Restaurant
Ristorante Green in Terracina is a charming restaurant located in a beautiful garden with ancient olive trees. The food is highly recommended, especially the seafood dishes like linguine all'astice and saute di cozze. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is friendly and efficient. While some customers found the prices to be average, others thought that desserts were a bit expensive. However, there were mixed reviews about certain pasta dishes not being as flavorful as expected.
Absolutely fantastic! After spending quite a while looking for a place to eat, we decided to go to old town Terricina, and it was amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, amazing service, and atmosphere could not have been better. Will recommend to all we know that visit here.

Absolutely amazing dinner at Ristorante Green. The seafood was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Recommend piatto di crudi, frittura di gamberi e calamari ,polpo patate, cozze e vongole, cianfotta , nightly specials amazing I had the paccheri mixed seafood everyone loved it. Bomba for dessert was delicious. Our service was excellent warm very attentive and knowledgeable. Our wine suggestions from our server paired perfectly with our dinner . The restaurant is stunning the location is very special. I wish I could have eaten there every night best meal I had in Italy. The Owner Betta was very welcoming and lovely .

This is a favorite of a friend who owns a beach house nearby. I only ate here once, but overall it was the best dinner on a recent 10 day trip to Rome and this area south of Rome and Latina. Very fresh seafood caught in local water prepared expertly. I had a stuffed grilled calamari and my wife had seared tuna. SO many interesting choices. Also non seafood options. We ate outside near the ancient Roman ruins that I believe predate the birth of Christ. The water recommended a Lambrusco, which was a new wine experience for me, paired extremely well with out food. We were there in October mid week which is very off season. I am told it is very busy in August.

Restaurant
Il Granchio is a restaurant located in Terracina, Italy. It offers high-quality Italian cuisine, including pizza and seafood dishes. The restaurant has received positive reviews for its exceptional food quality and attentive service. Customers have praised the beautiful location and improved service standards. The staff's professionalism and attention to detail have been highlighted as outstanding features of the dining experience at Il Granchio.
2023 We returned with my USA family this year and after the driver getting lost were rather late, all of us in a bit of fluster. BUT the moment we arrived everyone greeted us and remembered where we sat next year much more. After a calming glass of bubbles all was well! As last time the restaurant is a buzz with worth watching fashionistas and very fun but elegant. BUT we had a challenge for the staff and chef this year, my family don’t eat fish! They took in their stride and remade dishes with alternative ingredients so to please us and everything was wonderful - everyone had something they enjoyed! The non fish dishes looked and tasted amazing! Another great evening….. 2022 We've been coming to Sperlonga for years but only recently discovering the culinary offerings of Terracina thanks to recommendations from the lovely staff at our Hotel - Aurora Sperlonga. They picked a winner for us last night most certainly in Il Granchio! ATMOSPHERE Walking up it's impressive, both location and scale. Imagine visiting a grand family home perched on the hillside with panoramic views. We were offered an outstanding table with both a view of the city and the modern interiors. SERVICE A warm welcome followed by attentive yet relaxing service from Stefano and co-workers.  Our Italian needs improvement and they all took time to translate the menu in detail for us and have nice little chats as well.  It's a very "one 2 one" level of unrushed service. Luca the owner makes a point of checking in with everyone and he's so generous and kind. CUISINE Italian tradition with a modern fresh infusion of bursting flavors. The portions are rather large so pace yourself and leave room for the Dolce. The outstanding skill of the chef is in each mouthful - on a level with some of the finest restaurants we've dined in globally. SUMMARY This is an evening out not just a meal.  Book ahead, ask for table with a view, come hungry and ready to be impressed! It's on our list for our annual trips to the region of course now. Thanks to the whole staff for a perfect evening. Vincent & Garry

The food was okay but nothing special. The prices are way to high for this food especially for canned tuna. Only thing which justifies the price but also not that high is the view.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful dishes, but without soul. All seafood, but without the smell (let alone the taste) of the sea. Truly exorbitant prices. A monkfish main course cost €60, covered in the flavor of a useless and tasteless sauce. The dessert, also beautiful, had nothing sweet about it. Obviously, this is my personal opinion, because the restaurant was packed anyway, and booking was extremely difficult. The bill for four people was €560 (four appetizers, one first course, three second courses, two desserts). In the end, we were served pizza with mortadella...

The €15 menu was excellent, with a wide selection of meat and seafood starters, various main courses, and side dishes. Water and wine were included, and the service charge was also included. Excellent quality, generous portions, I was very satisfied. If I'm back in the area, I'll definitely stop in. (Translated by Google) This year (2024) prices have increased by around 1-2 euros per dish and the fixed menu has reached 15 euros... it still remains good and the quantity on the dishes is abundant, let's hope they don't increase further otherwise it won't be worth it anymore because it would become like a classic seaside restaurant. Good value for money, quiet place, quick to serve. Also good for fixed price menus. This year they have slightly increased the prices of both the fixed menu and normal dishes and have revisited the à la carte menu as dishes by slightly increasing the prices. Worth trying at least once even if it was super convenient in years gone by when you ate with little change but good quality.

Antica Dogana is a popular spot in town known for its exceptional food and beer selection. They offer top-quality craft beers and a variety of delicious meals, including buffalo meat, stone-cooked pizzas (a rarity in Italy), and excellent burgers. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. However, on weekends, especially Saturdays, there tends to be a long wait due to the high demand, so it is advisable to make a reservation beforehand or arrive early.
Food is grate and atmosphere like at home. The stakes are one of the best o have tried

I had been here twice as the guy from the till has apologised when I been the first time and I do believe that mistakes can happen so I did try the second time, unfortunately nothing changed. The first time we been requesting the meet to be cooked medium to well and it came medium rare with no flavour at all as in their menu proudly specified “carne irlandesa”, coming from Ireland the quality is lower than the cheapest Dunnes beef. When we asked the waiter about our meat he has replied “ what you wanted burned “ rude and with a very high level of voice. Nobody is asking you during dinner if is everything ok or if you need anything. The second time as I said before I do believe mistakes happen we were there again unfortunately the meet preparation was same with no exemptions. The service is not available at all, you are looked just to be taken the order and to pay the bill. With no any other interaction. I do believe that the costumers in this place should give the right feedback. Never again back

Best place in town to have meals and beers!!! They offer craft beers top quality, also top quality meals as buffalo meat, pizzas cooked on stones!! (very rare in Italy!! Usually pizzerias use classic wood ovens), excellent burgers and so on.. That's why during weekends (mainly Saturdays) you've long line and you need to reserve on the spot due too many people on the line. Great prices considered quality! Unfortunately the number of waiters isn't enough Saturdays so there's a little bit of waist of time waiting to order and then to eat. You've literally to call them more than one time to be served. Go early!!! Just for that 4*, otherwise it's a fully 5* place!!!

For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Sant'Andrea Winery Di Gabriele Pandolfo, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Castello Frangipane. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

We went here with a group of colleagues and had the BEST dinner experience ever! Multiple dishes, all of superb quality, amazing wines, extremely friendly staff, and beautiful surroundings. Both the outdoor areas and the indoor dining area are stunning. Highly recommend! We had a very good experience.

(Translated by Google) First experience in the Stadio della Vittoria sports center in the Hermada village. Double entrance for the public with excellent external parking. Entrance reserved for athletes. The complex is kept very clean and there is a large grandstand for spectators (however it needs to be looked at again, too many support poles and completely made of slightly eroded wood). Excellent and brand new football pitch, very nice visual impact but, alas, very poor visibility for the match. In fact, from the grandstand, in addition to having the aforementioned support poles that are too numerous and close to each other, there is also an iron structure that delimits the playing field and significantly obstructs the visibility of the event. There is no refreshment point inside the facility but, just outside there is both a pizzeria and a comfortable bar. Overall good experience.

Bahia Terracina is a great spot to relax and enjoy the beach. The prices for drinks and ice creams are very reasonable, making it an affordable option. However, it's important to note that this part of Terracina beach is rocky. Visitors can also indulge in amazing sandwiches perfect for a beachside lunch while enjoying plenty of free space on the beach. Overall, Bahia Terracina offers a very nice and relaxing experience by the sea.

Porta Romana, also known as Porta Grande, is a historic structure in Nepi with three gates framed by flat edges. The main access features a door and creates a cramped interior space to block enemies. In Terracina, the Roman gate dates back to the 18th century and was built on the occasion of Pope Pius VI's visit. It opens into the ancient walls surrounding Terracina and is backed by an old watchtower.

(Translated by Google) The Roman gate of Terracina actually dates from the 18th century. It was built in 1780, on the occasion of the visit of Pope Pius VI. On the other hand, it is backed by an old watchtower and opens into the ancient walls which surrounded Terracina. Above all, it gives access to one of the main streets which crosses the city from one side to the other, with in the center the square of the municipio du duomo around which you can discover the remains of the Roman monuments (temples and theater), in place as if you found yourself immersed in antiquity. The streets have a lot of charm. However, it is better to leave the car outside the old town, before going through the Romana gate. Good visit. Bonne visite.

Everything about Seguire Le Botti agriturismo is 5 star: Cuisine - especially 8 course dinner with wine pairing, hotel ambience, hospitality, and modern room accommodations! All staff, including Carla and Lisa, were very kind, helpful, well informed. My wife and I had a fabulous dinner and overnight stay that was truely romantic and memorable! The structure itself is beautiful and immaculately kept, surrounded by local vinyards, not far from the beach, beautiful parks and seaside medieval towns. All very magical!

Then there were seven wines paired from the Sant'Andrea winery, which were truly excellent. We stayed at the property, which stands out for its tranquility and simplicity, with spacious rooms and everything you need. I highly recommend everything. The location is truly beautiful and welcoming, with a beautifully tree-lined park beneath which are several large, well-spaced tables, well-lit and shaded by canopies. The restaurant also includes several indoor rooms of varying sizes. The so-called "barrel room" certainly deserves a special mention! The service is particularly attentive, with several kind ladies performing their various tasks with skill and high professionalism. The food draws on both top-quality, locally sourced ingredients and the expert hands of a highly skilled chef, creating gourmet cuisine with unique flavors and meticulous presentation! The price range is medium to high, but adequate for the service. Recommended. (Translated by Google) As a great connoisseur of Sant'Andrea wines, friends recommended a tasting dinner, and unfortunately, my high expectations were dashed, especially by the quality of the tastings/courses (six in total). Three of them were absolutely standard, on par with an anonymous restaurant, but presented by the staff with storytelling worthy of a three-Michelin-star restaurant. This is what I found: a magnificent location and a refined staff (even too refined), contrasting with food that was absolutely not up to par for the price. When you present yourself as an ambitious restaurant with tastings, the quality of the tastings must be high, something you wouldn't normally experience in regular restaurants or at home. The table next to us (a senior couple) had the same impression, hearing the comments about the staff (who NEVER asked us how everything was going, not even after the bill). Honestly, I'm very impressed by the majority of positive reviews I read; I hope it simply happened on the wrong night.

(Translated by Google) Perfect, Antonio! Thanks for sharing the photo: the atmosphere immediately conveys a sense of care, beauty, and intimacy—perfect for a review that captures a special experience like the one you and Laura had. Here's a suggested original review, with a tone somewhere between formal and slightly ironic/elegant, as requested: ⸻ A dinner among the barrels, but with a feast for the senses ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When you arrive at the "Segui le Botti" restaurant at the Sant'Andrea winery, you immediately understand you're about to embark on a journey. Not just in taste, but in atmosphere, in time, and perhaps even a little inside yourself (thanks to the right glass). We chose the surprise tasting, happily entrusting ourselves to the chef's hands and the sommelier's sensitivity. Spoiler alert: we'll never go back to the à la carte menu. Each course was a small stage set, meticulously crafted, with pairings as unexpected as they were successful. A play of textures, colors, and flavors that never lapses into excess, yet still manages to amaze. The wine? A pairing that's not just technical, but narrative. Each glass had something to say—and the sommelier was a splendid interpreter of that silent language of aromas, memories, and terroir. The setting, with its warm lights, olive trees, and barrels (yes, real ones), created a romantic atmosphere without cliché, intimate without being isolated. A dinner that easily becomes a memory. Thanks to all the staff for their hospitality, professionalism, and that touch of magic you infused into every detail. We'll be back. And next time... perhaps letting ourselves be surprised again. (Original) Perfetto Antonio!

(Translated by Google) Excellent quality ingredients but none of the dishes I tasted had that extra something that makes you say "exquisite, I'll come back to taste it again". The former were insipid, the latter could hardly be called tasty. Tasteless desserts. In conclusion, the tastiest thing was the bread made by them anyway. Excellent cellar. Impeccable service. Extremely poor quality/price ratio. Ottima cantina. Servizio impeccabile. Rapporto qualità prezzo svantaggiosissimo.

(Translated by Google) An excellence with a breathtaking view La Bottega Sarra is much more than a simple restaurant: it is a place where tradition meets quality, where each dish tells a story made of excellent raw materials and respect for authentic cuisine. The restaurant is historic, with attention to detail, and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service is impeccable, attentive but never intrusive, and accompanies you on a gastronomic experience of the highest level. The wine cellar is surprising, full of important labels that go perfectly with the chef's proposals. But the real show is the panorama: from here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Terracina, the Circeo promontory and the sea, a context that makes every lunch or dinner truly unforgettable. Recommended without hesitation: perfect for a family lunch, a stopover during a business trip, or simply for those who love good food and good wine in a unique context. Pizzeria San Francesco is a beloved gem in Terracina, known for its delicious pizzas and warm atmosphere. While primarily a takeout spot, it offers some seating for those who wish to dine in. The dough is soft and made with high-quality ingredients, making each bite a delight. Many visitors recommend trying the suppli as an appetizer or indulging in their fried offerings.
Best pizza We ever tasted. We had take away one day and ate at the square in old town. We came back two days later to eat at the restaurant. Really nice people who work there. Cheap drinks and inexpensive food.

Pisco Montano is a remarkable feat of ancient Roman engineering located between Monte S. Angelo and the sea, along the Old Appian Way between Rome and Naples. This monumental work was created around the third century BC to facilitate passage on the Appian Way, with Emperor Trajan commissioning a cliff cut in 104 AD to expedite movement of Roman troops and supplies towards Brindisi.

In ancient times it was the seat of a guardhouse later occupied by brigands, the buildings can still be seen on the side of the mountain, and many still wonder how the men managed to get there. The Terracina Capitolium is a significant archaeological site featuring a large covered gallery likely used for processions. The structures supporting the terrace showcase exemplary Roman construction techniques. Adjacent to Piazza del Municipio, massive remains of another temple, identified as the Capitolium, date back to 50-40 BC and were dedicated to the Capitoline Triad. The integration of ancient monuments with the current habitat in Terracina creates a captivating atmosphere, making it an ideal film set.

(Translated by Google) During the Republican age, outside the Emilian Forum, a temple was built by the Romans, perhaps dedicated to the Capitoline Triad (composed of Jupiter, Juno and Miniverva). During the Middle Ages, however, this architectural complex was incorporated into a house (in fact we can observe still some stone blocks), destroyed during the Second World War. The building is composed of three cells, built using the Opus Reticolatum technique. They have also a floor reconstructed in the modern era. To access these rooms, you had to use a staircase (currently there is a metal one). Furthermore, the structure had columns in Doric-Tuscan style (only one is very visible). There was also an accessible underground part only to priests, the Favisse (Favissae). The latter, used in past centuries as a cellar, are composed of a barrel vault, a corridor and three rooms (built using the Opus technique Reticolatum). In the first there is the face of Gaius, nephew of Augustus. In the second there is the upper part of the head of Livia Drusilla, wife of Augustus. In the third there is the face of Gaius Julius Caesar and at the bottom the corridor, there is the statue of the god Serapis. However, these sculptures were found at the Roman Theatre. This beautiful archaeological site was opened to the public after many years of excavations and restorations and can be admired on a guided tour. Behind this building there is also a stretch of the Appian Way.

Chiesa del Purgatorio is a historic church located on Corso Anita Garibaldi in Terracina Alta. The church, dating back to the late 18th century, features a unique architectural design with a square exterior and circular interior. As you enter, you'll be greeted by a large skeleton above the front door and more skeletal decorations within. The facade of the church showcases three elliptical windows representing the Holy Trinity.

On the facade of the church three elliptical windows represent the Holy Trinity. Inside the church, in addition to various decorations, a cross stands out where objects that refer to the story of the passion have been applied. Very interesting church, worth the visit. Nestled in a tranquil and discreet location, the Chiesa Parrocchiale della Madonna di Porto Salvo offers a serene escape from the bustling surroundings. Often mistaken for the historic church adjacent to Badino Bridge, this parish is actually found just 200 meters down Via Badino Vecchia towards Rome. It holds a special place in the hearts of its community members, who have witnessed its growth from its very first stone.

Had a lovely dinner here with excellent service. The surroundings and atmosphere is very nice. Hot italian coffee and biscotti for dessert - they tasted like they were fresh out of the oven. Highly recommended!

The worst experience ever! We sat and took a while till we could order. After that, we order a bottle of wine, an appetizer and 2 main courses. Appetizer came super fast. No bread. The main courses was almost at the table and NO WINE yet. We decided for cancel the bottle. I called a guy that was looking as the manager or owner, he asked if we want the bill. We explained that we were still waiting for food and no wine was served so I want to cancel. He kept pushing for people bring the wine, when I was clear that was not what we want. Waiter was walking up and down ‘buffing’ and clearly showing how pissed he was. Food was amazing. But a horrible experience as a client. Kitchen was working fast, but clearly waiters was out of their game and could not manage the service. The bottle of wine was still in the bill when we went for pay. Would not recommend this place.

We had a very lovely dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing, the food took a bit time but it was very good and worth waiting. We had stakes and they were perfectly cooked. The service was amazing, we had a very nice and patient waiter. We came as a group with older Spanish people with us, and the manager or owner (not sure who he was exactly) was even trying to explain things in Spanish, he was very welcoming and nice. Overall a great place with delicious food. Definitely would highly recommend and hopefully return again.

I would give this place 0 stars if that was an option. The machines to order food were all out of order and they only had one cash (at the bar open). When we got to the front of the very slow line we were inexplicably redirected to a newly opened cash at the front....where they were willing to let me order food but didn't want to give me coffee as my drink. They are so incredibly disorganized...they take the fast out of fast food. My child's hamburger had zero toppings and the pop had no syrup (it was just fizzy water). Also here was No toilet paper in the bathrooms. Yuck!!!

There is also a specific column for loading drinking water. The base is very clean and well looked after, the staff is very friendly. There is also a bar (currently not fully operational due to the Covid-19 emergency). The lady who manages the dock is very kind and attentive to customer needs. Always ready to offer coffee. Availability of summer seasonal places, various sizes (it should be possible to moor boats up to 18-20 meters. The height is limited to 4 meters due to the second bridge over the Pontina. (Translated by Google) It is a narrow medieval building with many windows and a small tower. It was built by Gregorio Acso. In fact, its name is shown on a small marble slab. The imposing structure, which had a defensive function, is hidden in an alley in the historic center of Terracina and can be seen from the Capitolium. Beautiful restored building. (Translated by Google) We could only see the outside of this triangular shaped tower house (I think it is private and therefore not visible inside). There is not much space around the house, but it is truly suggestive and it is worth taking a few steps from the central square of Terracina to admire this medieval construction. Nestled between the stunning Cathedral of St. Caesarius and the iconic Rosa Tower, Palazzo del Vescovado is a historic gem that dates back to the 9th century AD. Although it has undergone numerous restorations over the years, little remains of its original structure, making it an intriguing site for history enthusiasts. The surrounding area boasts captivating features like ancient mosaics from the 5th century and a striking statue of Zeus, adding to its allure.

(Translated by Google) Cathedral of St. Caesarius. The floor of the cathedral is decorated with an ancient mosaic dating back to the 5th century, in addition, it is notable for the statue of Zeus (a copy of the original Greek statue of the 2nd–3rd century) and part of the marble monument of Trajan. This cathedral from the 13th century until the end of the 19th century was the summer residence of the Roman popes and in the 12th century and even the elections of one of the Popes took place here in the 14th century. Over its long history, the building was repeatedly modified and restored. In the 11th century, the cathedral was consecrated in honor of the patron saint of Terracina, Saint Cesare, and at the same time a new Pope, Urban II, was elected within its walls. In the 13th century, a large-scale reconstruction was carried out, and in the 18th century, during further restoration work, the temple was decorated in the Baroque style. At the same time, only three remained of the five naves of the cathedral, side chapels were built, and the ancient Romanesque ceiling was covered with a barrel vault.

Hosteria Le Muraccia is a charming restaurant located in the old historic part of town, offering an excellent dining experience. The establishment is known for its delicious breaded cutlet, perfect for children due to its generous portion size. Guests can also indulge in tender cuts of meat such as entrecotte and Scottish cut, accompanied by grilled vegetables and chicory. The quality of the food is consistently high, with the best steak in town being a standout dish.
Excellent food and beautiful terrace to sit outside. We had the Argentinian Entrecôte and can highly recommend. The service was a bit rushed and pushy which we didn’t like. But the food was promptly served and made of fresh, qualitative ingredients.

Pizza restaurant
La Vita è bella is a charming pizzeria that has received mixed reviews. Some customers have expressed disappointment with their takeout experience, citing undercooked and overly sauced pizzas. However, others have praised the delicious gluten-free pizza and the attentive staff, despite longer wait times. The restaurant's ambiance has been described as beautiful, and many have enjoyed the excellent wine selection. Overall, it seems to be a popular choice for those seeking good pizza in a friendly atmosphere.
The vita sure is bella when you're dining in this beautiful restaurant. The wine and pizza were excellent, and were brought to me by very attentive and friendly staff. Best pizza I've eaten north of Napoli, and whenever I pass Terracina again I'll make sure to visit again.

Pizza is really super (I'm Italian, I know what I mean), mainly the Pizza Gourmet. The rest is very good (fritto, crocchette, supplì). I had dinner with friends last week, it was not the first time, for sure will not be the last.

Best pizza I can remember so far. Really nice staff. I cannot understand the bad comments about this place. You may not like the location but the rest is a 10/10

Despite being one of the best pizza you can find in Terracina - a very good pizza rated 4/5 indeed, but that you can still find in several other place the city offers -, I’ve got the worst experience ever made in my life when it comes to service. I really - and I mean, really - would recommend you to turn another way if what you’re searching for is the Italian hospitality and gentleness we (I’m born and grown up in Terracina) are famous for. The waitress couldn’t substitute the cheese in my pizza because “she didn’t want to ruin it”, even when I told her I’m allergic and couldn’t unfortunately eat it. I’ve got no choice but to order the ingredients separately and mix them up myself. This sounds pretty incredible I know, but as a matter of fact I’m still shocked about it, because such a thing had never happened to me until then! I love Italy and the way I can joke, speak and feel when I’m sitting in a real Italian restaurant, even better if it’s a local pizzeria. This place doesn’t really full-fill these expectations, I’m sorry!
Riccardo S — Google review
A really nice place to eat, considering the few choices available. The pizza was great and the people were really friendly. The prices are reasonable and I felt like everyone was happy to have some guests during the covid time!
Daniel Z — Google review
We were told by the staff that everything is full, but half of the tables were empty. Immediately after us two Italians asked for a table for two, suddenly there were free tables again and they were allowed to sit down. Three more Italians who were behind us and were obviously baffled about what happened, have asked for a table for three and of course got this. All this happened in front of our eyes. Apparently you are not welcome as a foreigner. A pity, we were looking forward to the pizza.

Fish restaurant
Ristorante Giardino Della Meson is a captivating venue that exudes charm and elegance, making it an idyllic setting for unforgettable events like weddings. Nestled in lush greenery, this restaurant offers a picturesque backdrop that enhances any celebration. Guests have raved about the exquisite cuisine and attentive service, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an exotic getaway while still feeling warm and familiar. While some may question the pricing relative to portion sizes, many agree that the unique flavor combinations and high-quality ingredients justify the cost.
Some of the reviews questioned the price over the portion of the food. They are wrong!! Della Meson dishes have combinations of flavours, freshness and quality. If you want a plate full of pasta for a cheap price, go to a trattoria. If you want quality, il Giardino Della Meson is the place to be.

Value for the price? The location and service are good as well as the food quality and cooking, but the size of the portion is small - just like half a portion. This makes this restaurant quite expensive, more than you can expect.

I Dodici is a delightful culinary find that I stumbled upon late one evening, and it truly exceeded my expectations. Despite the bustling atmosphere, they graciously accommodated us, which was a pleasant surprise. The seafood offerings are particularly noteworthy; I started with the antipasto del mare and was blown away by its freshness and flavor. The clams were so good that I found myself craving more!
We stumbled upon this hidden gem at 11PM on August 14. One of the busiest nights. They were able to accommodate us which was amazing. The food was incredible. We started off with antipasto del mare and it was delicious. All our dishes were made fresh and fast. I had the clams and still wanting more. If you love seafood you’ll be so satisfied and the pricing is reasonable.
