Piazza Federico II is a significant and ancient square located in the historic center of Jesi. It holds historical importance as it stands on the site of the ancient Roman Forum and is believed to be the birthplace of Frederick II of Swabia, a renowned medieval emperor. (Translated by Google) It rises in all its mighty majesty in Piazza Colocci; it is also known as Palazzo dei Priori. I read that it was built at the end of the fifteenth century on the site of the ancient Roman theatre. The façade has Renaissance lines and has a double order of windows with the typical Guelph cross design and sculpted stone frames; at the corners of the building there are heraldic shields with lion heads and cornucopias. Above the portal stands the symbol of the city: a rampant and crowned lion. The tower was rebuilt in the seventeenth century after the collapse of the one built by the great architect Andrea Sansovino. The building is currently home to the municipal library.

Nestled in the heart of Jesi, Palazzo Pianetti is a stunning 18th-century structure that serves as a cultural hub for art enthusiasts. This magnificent building houses the Pinacoteca Civica, showcasing an impressive collection of artworks, including masterpieces by Lorenzo Lotto. Visitors can explore its beautifully adorned rococo-stuccoed gallery and admire Renaissance ceiling frescoes that transport you back in time.
Unexpectedly good art gallery in Jesi! A lot of masterpieces (the most famous - Lotto), good Renaissanse ceiling frescos and very interesting Stucchi Gallery

A beautifully and large piazza in the middle of Lesi. The more you walk around the beautiful town the more you discover with great laneways and believe it or not shopping. The huge stone walls surrounding the old town are spectacular and worth the trip just to see them. A beautiful city worth the visit.

Amazing hidden art treasure in the heart of the Marche region. The gallery is a rococo masterpiece and the civic gallery inside the building hosts important works by renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto, and reliefs, sculptures and paintings from late XIV to XVIII century. The Contemporary collection is in the private rooms of Palazzo Pianetti and just opened a small beautiful archeological section in the stables at the ground floor. The visit is a trip in art history. Worth it!!!

A visit to Palazzo Pianetti is worth while if you are travelling the Marches. I experienced a guided tour to the 'secret rooms' on the upper floor in the evening with the presence of dames and gentlemen in costumes: I enjoyed it pretty much.

This magnificent cathedral, dedicated to Saint Settimio, has a rich history dating back to its origins as a structure built on earlier foundations. Definitely a way to capture the attention of even the little ones. The itinerary develops in 16 rooms where mainly videos and projections are found. When moving from one room to another, it happens that the narration in the next room has already started, which is why it is then necessary to wait for it to start again to see the part that was initially lost. (Translated by Google) It is a well-structured cognitive journey on Frederick II of Swabia, with a high degree of communicativeness and appreciably rigorous. The multimedia mode is not reduced to an exuberant show, but is functional to a more effective transmission of the many contents. I appreciated how the figure of the sovereign was not rendered through a slavish biographical - chronological narrative, but inserted into the broader understanding of the historical context, of the dynastic events, of the tormented balance-imbalance between universal powers, of a Europe at the crossroads of cultures and civilization. From the sixteen rooms we understand the historical significance of the figure of the sovereign. In the rooms there are panels to read, the content of which is substantially reproduced from films, animations and projected videos. In almost all the rooms there are, to integrate some thematic aspects, touch screens (unfortunately some of which did not work at all or were defective). I believe it is difficult to organize a 16-room itinerary focused on a single character without lapsing into a celebratory tone or a list-making exposition. Here, however, they managed to convey not only knowledge but also understanding of the character. Very welcome, in one of the last rooms, a sort of "impossible interview" with Frederick II. At the ticket office they give an approximate visit time of one and a half hours. It took me more than three hours. Adjust based on your interests.

Parco del Ventaglio is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Vallesina, celebrated for its natural beauty and spacious layout. While it may appear somewhat neglected, this park boasts immense potential that remains largely untapped. Its unique amphitheater shape makes it an ideal venue for various events and performances, yet it lacks the necessary facilities to fully realize this promise. A stable café could enhance the experience by ensuring cleanliness and providing a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

(Translated by Google) Located in the central Piazza Federico II of Jesi, this place, although born as a cocktail bar, constitutes an interesting restaurant. The dishes are innovative, carefully presented and tasty. Among the dishes indicated on the menu, I would like to point out in particular the second courses Chicken CBT and Piglet CBT, as well as the Tartelletta starter. The native wines are also very interesting: I tried a glass of Lacrima di Morro d'Alba (red) and a glass of Verdicchio di Jesi (white). Given the small room with a very limited number of seats inside, I recommend making a reservation, especially in the winter. Quick and professional service, medium-high prices. If you are in the area I recommend visiting it: 5 stars!

After looking at the menu, I asked if there were gluten-free options, and the response I received was that they don't serve "THAT STUFF." A comment that shows not only a total lack of professionalism, but also a disheartening ignorance regarding increasingly common dietary requirements. (Original) Una stella è già troppo. I love this place. The food is creative and delicious. The chefs know exactly how to combine the different flavors in order to create an amazing dish. Also the service staff is wonderful! Especially Mario who was our waiter this evening and on another occasion. He is very attentive, professional and nice. Thank you Mario, we felt very comfortable! ☺️ Also the rest of the staff is very nice and attentive.

I’m really sorry to say this, but I was left disappointed. Upon entering this beautifully designed restaurant—with its huge wine selection, terrace, scenic view, and a warm welcome from the smiling, energetic staff—I flipped through my guidebooks once more to double-check if the place was listed anywhere. When the beautifully plated dishes arrived, I was sure someone must have simply forgotten to include them. But after the first spoonful from my plate—and my partner’s—it all started to make sense. The food was underseasoned, the grilled seafood had a burnt taste, and overall (even though I initially tried to convince myself that the minimalism was intentional, to highlight the natural flavors), I have to sum it up as a missed opportunity. It felt like the kind of menu that looks fantastic on paper, but the food was cooked by someone just following a recipe while the actual chef was somewhere far from the kitchen. I was genuinely looking forward to the experience, but it turned out to be very average. I’m giving it 2 stars because this is the kind of restaurant where the amazing staff, location, and overall vibe truly save what’s otherwise a disappointment ( I’m not saying “a disaster” ) coming out of the kitchen. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Jesi, the Monument to Giovan Battista Pergolesi stands proudly in Piazza Pergolesi, capturing the attention of all who pass by. This stunning tribute is crafted from exquisite white Carrara marble and was designed by Alessandro Lazzerini to honor the renowned 18th-century composer born right here in Jesi. The monument features Pergolesi himself, elegantly directing figures representing Song and Sound, alongside a bas-relief showcasing one of his celebrated compositions.

(Translated by Google) Walking along Corso Matteotti, in front of the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie, one's attention cannot fail to be captured from afar by the whiteness of the white Carrara marble of the monument to Giovambattista Pergolesi, the famous eighteenth-century musician, born in Jesi and who later became famous in Naples. The work is located in the small square which, naturally, bears the composer's name. I read in my tourist guide that the monument, created by a sculptor from Carrara, is considered one of the very few Art Nouveau works present in the Marche region. As can be read on an engraving on the base, the citizens of Jesi had it built in 1910 (MCMX). Pergolesi is represented in the act of performing a vocal and instrumental performance: this can be deduced from the fact that there are also female allegorical figures representing singing and male allegorical figures symbolizing sound in the marble complex. You can also admire a bas-relief with images relating to Love and Death and two small masks depicting Tragedy and Comedy.

A subtle minerality makes its way through the mountain of refined yeasts. Very reserved nose: a sweet note rests on the very restrained minerality. In the mouth a mineral wonder. The mineral beams resist the weight of a large Champagne or Classic Method refinement. A refined and technically impeccable solution. A perfect drink. Maybe a little self-referential. Like a Champagne. But we are in the heart of the Marche where the heart of passions beats. A little warmth in the gustatory embrace wouldn't be bad compared to the perfect detachment of Verdicchio. Nestled in the charming alleys of one of Italy's oldest cities, Osteria Forno Ercole has transformed from a historic bakery into a culinary gem. Here, Chef Marco Filipponi crafts fresh homemade bread daily and welcomes guests with a delightful natural bitter made from Verdicchio, curated by the attentive Leonardo Cingolani. The menu celebrates local flavors while incorporating influences from Northern Adriatic cuisine, ensuring each dish is crafted with high-quality ingredients sourced from trusted producers.
One of the best restaurants in the area. Food is absolutely delicious and there is a relaxed atmosphere. For the quality of food the prices represent excellent value for money. All dishes are freshly prepared using top ingredients. My wife and I shared a dish each from antipasti, primi and secondi and I had the Tartlette Limone e Meringa for dolce. As you will see the food presentation is also presented with care. The wine list has many local producers (verdicchio is the local white wine in the area) and the prices are very fair. They will let you have any wine on their wine list by the glass providing the cost per is not more than €22 per bottle, so you have many choices. All in all a fabulous experience will be had at this superb Osteria.

Nestled away in the charming town of Jesi, Evoke Bistro is a delightful find that promises an enchanting dining experience. This newly opened gem may be a bit tricky to locate, but your patience will be rewarded. The bistro boasts a beautifully renovated interior that exudes warmth and charm, making it perfect for both romantic dinners and intimate business gatherings.
We came across this relatively new restaurant by chance After doing a Google search for restaurants in Jesi. And how lucky we were to find EVOKE. Firstly the place is tucked away and not easy to find but be patient, it is definitely worth it. The restaurant is small and beautifully renovated and furnished, good start. But it gets better. The management are hands on and friendly but not obtrusive. The food is different from other restaurants locally but variations on a theme. The food is fresh and superb and the portions are of an excellent size. The price for the quality is amazing. Value for money it certainly is. The wine list matches the menu for excellence. Local wines from the Verdicchio di Castelli de Jesi area are brilliant as are the national and other European wines. They will let you order a glass of any of their local wines, so no need to order a bottle if you only want a glass. The value of their wines match that of the food menu. My wife and I had an exceptional experience and will definitely be back when next in Jesi. EVOKE is one of the best dining experiences have had in a long time.

(Translated by Google) Good experience in this place which met expectations. The first courses were good, as far as I tried, the portions were fair and even generous for the second courses. Recently renovated, welcoming and quiet place. Accommodating and non-invasive service. The first courses, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and prawns, very good but beware of those who don't like garlic because it tastes enough, second courses with rabbit in porchetta, good perhaps a little dry and sea bass, good but perhaps the accompanying boiled vegetables made the dish a little subdued in presentation, although everything tasted good. In this context, of a typical place, which also shows a pleasant cascade of greenery and flowers from a wall (even if synthetic) the bathroom appears a little old fashioned perhaps left like this by the previous management, oriental-style but obviously out of place with the environment does its job and is a simple detail. Wine list present and appropriate to the case, also served in glasses. Prices with the promo are certainly inviting, if without, perhaps a little high but that's the case almost everywhere.

The restaurant is located along a small street in via Mura Occidentali, a small but very welcoming and characteristic environment, a cross between elegance and rusticity typical of the place. Since there were several people and we had limited time for the meal, we ordered a few portions of tagliatelle with mushrooms and some gnocchi to then enjoy a couple of first courses; afterwards, we had some slices and a fantastic duck a l'orange with some side dishes of herbs and vegetables. The dishes were very good, well seasoned and cooked, the portions adequate; the main dish was the duck with orange which we were all very surprised by. The waiter who served us was very kind and helpful; There is also a well-stocked wine list with local wines and wine-growing history of the Marche. Final price more than correct! I hope to be able to return soon (and with less haste) to try some other dishes and be able to enjoy the place even better which certainly has a lot to offer. Compliments! The atmosphere can get lively due to its popularity, but the experience is well worth it. Don’t miss out on their fantastic tiramisu—it’s a sweet ending that perfectly complements your meal.
Great service, really good food and fantastic tiramisu!

Seafood restaurant
Mare-Mare cucina di pesce is a seafood restaurant located in the historic center of Jesi, offering fish dishes every day except for Mondays. The restaurant's elegant and refined atmosphere resembles that of coastal locations with its decor and colors. Guests can enjoy a variety of menu options, including small, medium, and large menus to sample multiple courses at reasonable prices. The seasonal cuisine features a changing menu every three months, showcasing quality fish dishes.
So we were looking for a quick lunch, kind of something in bread, but it was late so we dropped in the first place we found. A quick glance at the menu have us cause to rethink our plans. This restaurant does not do sandwiches. While we're on the subject it doesn't do a children's menu, or speak much English either, so be brave and tell your small ones to do the same. Ours loved, and I mean that loved, their pasta and mussels. There was nothing left, not anything from a generous serving, and not all children eat stuff like that. Yeah, ok maybe I'm a bit of a proud dad but the pasta was great. Meanwhile we set about prawns in sesame and balsamic reduction and a tartare which were both excellent, but nothing compared to the millefeuille of fish and aubergine. I'm a bit of a foodie and this was fantastic by any standard, for the price it was exceptional. As you can see by now we'd completely failed our 'quick simple lunch' objective. The pudding continued this trend and eventually we left, completely satisfied. This will likely become a regular stop when we've got an afternoon with nothing to do and s hunger to deal with. Highly recommended.

Nestled on the picturesque plain between the historic center of Jesi and the Esino River, the Parrocchia di Santa Maria del Piano is a remarkable site steeped in history. This ancient abbey, once boasting three naves, now features only its central nave but still captivates visitors with its charm. Scholars believe it was built atop a temple dedicated to Minerva, making it one of Vallesina's oldest and most significant churches.

(Translated by Google) Pleasant experience, very kind and polite staff, you can see that they put a lot of passion into what they do and carry out. Prices appropriate to the quality of the dishes, perfect for both meat and fish dishes. I particularly recommend the grilled meat and as a side dish the excellent baked potatoes, grilled vegetables or even chicory. The desserts are also excellent. Very refined place with very clean and tidy toilets. Recommended with full marks! Consigliato a pieni voti!

(Translated by Google) A nice restaurant within the walls of old Jesi in the PortaValle area. It has a nice car park suitable for wheelchair use as well as the entrance to the venue. The furnishings are well suited to the area where it is located. Well-prepared tables and fine dishes at reasonable prices according to the quality offered. You can find it by turning at the roundabout on Viale Trieste (the one near the train station), naturally in the opposite direction to the station and as soon as you come to the next roundabout, go past it for 70 meters and take a left. As soon as you go up the hill, on the right is Piazza Pontelli and in front of you is the restaurant. Enjoy your meal. Buon appetito.

Hamburger restaurant
Poldo Burger Bar is a small and unassuming place known for its fast service and friendly owners. Despite the simple setting, it offers excellent quality hamburger sandwiches that are very tasty and generously filled. The soft and flavorful bread adds to the overall appeal of their burgers. While the ambiance may not be top-notch with some disorganization at the entrance, the focus here is on serving really good sandwiches.

Pizza restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Jesi, Pizzeria Meo stands as a beloved institution that transcends fleeting trends. This charming takeaway spot exudes warmth and authenticity, reminiscent of classic pizzerias where the focus is solely on delicious food. The atmosphere feels timeless, inviting patrons to enjoy their pizza in a setting that celebrates simplicity and genuine hospitality.

(Translated by Google) I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the pizzeria, and in particular his son, who demonstrates a great passion for their work. I recently noticed the revamp of their social channels, and I have to say, the new website is amazing! It is very well designed and allows you to view the full menu and order conveniently online. The quality of the pizza remains excellent, but it's really nice to see how they are modernizing and improving the service. Congratulations to the whole team! I highly recommend visiting the pizzeria and taking a look at the website to discover all the delicious options available!

(Translated by Google) This pizzeria by the slice - an institution in Jesi - has nothing to do with the passing fads of the new "instagrammable" places. And fortunately. Here you will find everything you need: friendliness, authenticity and a pizza that never disappoints. The environment is essential, it almost seems to have remained frozen in time, but in a good way: it conveys spontaneity and naturalness, like those shops of the past where only what you eat counts. And you can eat very well here. Fragrant, light, tasty pizza, with many variations: from the great classics to the most typical fillings of the Marche - absolutely try the one with cracklings and broccoli, or the white one with potatoes and sausage, a real bomb. The prices are honest and the atmosphere is relaxed, with a few tables outside if you want to eat on site. Whether you are traveling around Jesi or have always lived there, a stop here is a must. A place that feels like home and good habits.
