Shopping mall
Gränbystaden, also known as Granby Centrum, is a stylish shopping mall located 3 km (1.9 mi) east of the city center in Uppsala. It offers a wide range of activities for visitors, including a cinema, food court, and underground parking. Families will appreciate the kids' play area and family restroom. The mall boasts an impressive array of entertainment options such as bowling, karaoke, and board games.
A dream shopping mall. Sushi Yama, newyorker , bubble tea, ICA, Apotek, Flowers, Åhlens, larger hus, everything is there. Good atmosphere. There’s barber and Fitness 24seven gym close by. Good place to travel solo or with family.
Dil A — Google review
I love this mall as it has most of the things I usually and regularly shop for. The grocery is huge! Not a lot of restaurants. The mall is well maintained.
A S — Google review
Awesome shopping center that have famous brands. Clothes, shoes, and daily usage items are available in ICA located inside the shopping mall. There is also a small food court having delicious foods.

Awsixn A — Google review
Place changed last years and it's unrecognizable to those remembering it from just few years back. I just to live close by and been there regularly, but since we moved... Now it seems to me as the most modern and well kept place/shopping mall I have seen in Sweden (does not mean I checked all, but seen all in Uppsala anyway). One can find there almost any store one might need and it's pretty pretty too. Negative I would say that it is to spread out for two locations and without a car it's very uncomfortable to move about.
Eryck B — Google review
What an amazing mall and do many interesting shops. Of course the children clothes were so cute. Had a Cafe Latte at Expresso👍🤗
Jeanette B — Google review
The amount of activities you can get to do in one area is unbelievable. From bowling to karaoke to boardgames movies you mention and they have it. They have great bars and nice unique Swedish beverages. They serve with a smile and a very welcoming people. I had a great evening in that place with my friend.

Nestled in the heart of Uppsala, Uppsala Konsert & Kongress stands as a striking 8-level concert and congress hall, masterfully designed by Henning Larsen Architects. This modern venue is celebrated for its superb acoustics, making it an exceptional choice for a variety of events ranging from classical concerts to contemporary performances and conferences. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views while experiencing top-notch sound quality in a comfortable setting.
Had a 3-day convention here and it was a really nice and conducive place for a convention. The seating were comfortable and I loved the outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your meals and bask under the sun.
Denise R — Google review
This is an impressive building from the outside. Inside is a bit of a let down, very sterile and no feeling of arts or culture. There are lifts for those with mobility issues but it's slow. Restaurant has improved which is nice. Concert venues are good, not so good for ballets the stage is too shallow. In general the place lacks personality. No effort to create a sense of vibrancy. Went to the gala guitar concert which was very nice but you just leave afterwards, no cosy corner with soft couches and a good bar for a cocktail where you could chat and spend some cash.
Marie G — Google review
It was my very first visit last weekend. The exhibition was fantastic, staffs were so helpful and friendly. It was such a beautiful venue to spend time with family in weekend.

UKK's lunch restaurant is spacious, nicely furnished locale. It's somewhat lacking in decor but what there is does not offend. The lunch is usually very nice and well cooked and lunch comes with a nice buffet of sallads and some sort of dessert with the coffee. Worth the price.
A S — Google review
Great place. Good restaurant Great place for events Have lockers for clothes and bags, you can give them to the staff and take them after the event.
Muhannad I — Google review
Always very simple to visit Uppsala Konsert and Kongress. Elevators, escelators, restrooms, drinks, wardrobe... Nice staff. Nice sound. Ok chairs. Watch out if you do have legproblems! You might have to walk up and down many stairs, check out your seats carefully...before you book your seat! Otherwise perfect! Also parking was ok. But be on time if you need a parkinglot.

Good venue in general, but smaller rooms are too small for a large conference.

Book store
The English Bookshop in Uppsala is a beloved haven for book lovers, often considered Sweden's best bookstore. Boasting a collection of around ten thousand English books, this charming and cozy shop offers an extensive selection that includes regular imports from the UK and the US across various genres. Visitors praise its resemblance to picturesque bookshops in Oxford and commend the friendly staff who are passionate about literature.
We found this little bookshop when staying in Uppsala to visit our son. Was a wonderful place to go with a great selection of books and fantastic staff. Recommended for anyone who is in love with the written word plus some other little gifts if needed.
Ruth R — Google review
I have yet to experience anything better than this place! I live in Stockholm but I travel to Uppsala just for this bookshop every now and then. Something about it is so magical & welcoming. Lovely staff and an impressively broad variety in their books. Highly recommended!

Gem of Sweden! Cool collection of books on all topics. Staff are the most friendly and kind people!!

This place very quickly became my favourite place in upsalla. The store itself feels like a beautiful movie set. It reminds me of bookshops in Oxford. It is filled with books from floor to ceiling. The amazing staff member I met made me feel completely at home and was very happy to geek out about book series !! I bought her recommendation and came back for the sequel the very NEXT day !!
I B — Google review
Cosy bookshop, it's hade the true vibe of an old English bookshop. Fair prices and a good amount of wierd and interessting books. You will always find something new hidden in the bookshelves when you enter and look around.
Christoffer S — Google review
This is one of my favourite bookshops I've ever been to. The location is a bit small but that just makes it cozier. The staff is super friendly and was very helpful. They offer a great selection of books and have something for everybody. I especially enjoyed the crime and classics section. All in all I can say that the English Bookshop is a must-visit for me whenever I am in Uppsala!
Sophie J — Google review
Friendly staff and awesome atmosphere. Filled with books and not all that other "bookstore" nonsense.
Philip — Google review
I love the vibes inside the bookshop. There are armchairs to read books I really appreciate. However, I don't agree with the selling of Lgbtq books, nor the selling of intimate romance novels. It doesn't make the world a better place, nor does it contribute to making mindful individuals.

Fyrishov is a prominent multi-purpose arena in Sweden, boasting a popular water park that appeals to families and individuals seeking respite from the chilly Swedish weather. The water park offers an array of attractions including thrilling water slides, a spacious swimming pool for leisurely swims, and relaxation areas. Additionally, Fyrishov features expansive indoor sports halls and doubles as a concert venue.
The favourite place of the kids. For me it's too noisy, overcrowded and it's stuffy and smells like chlorine inside. But it has a big green zone with few swimming pools outside where you can swim and enjoy the sun and a fresh air.
Kateryna C — Google review
A good place to relax with kids of all ages, but teenagers will be a little sad, because the slides are under repair and there is only one pool with paths and diving boards. The other outdoor pools are shallow. There is a nice area for the smallest children, it's great that smoking is not allowed on the territory, but it's better to take food and drinks with you, there is a small cafe with burgers, hotdogs and mini pizzas, delicious pancakes with jam. And ice cream. A nice field for recreation, in good weather there are many people and plenty of sun loungers. There is little shade or shelter, so you need to have sunscreen.
Nataliia I — Google review
Take your own padlocks AND a 10 SEK coin! The premises are old, but the swimming pools and showers themselves are good. The place is a bit crowded for what it offers and we adults missed the regular pool which was strangely warm and either booked or occupied with parents with babies.
Ugnė G — Google review
I wanted to go for a swim, but when I arrived the pool was completely occupied with school classes, senior sports groups, and other visitors. There was no chance to get into the water. The outdoor area was closed, another indoor section was under construction, and the "hot pool" was fully booked. So I ended up with nowhere to swim, changed back into my clothes, and went home. Some information about this at the entrance would have been really helpful.
Brendan B — Google review
Great place! The showers are good and you can manage the temperature. The swimming pool is clean and there's usually space to swim alone; I train for a triathlon. The restaurant has a yummy vegetarian hamburger for 89 sek, as today 28/feb-24. The personnel is kind and smile to customers. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Could improve? Yes, the personnel could guide customers if they're in the wrong line: fast, medley or motion.
Cristina R — Google review
This review is only of the swimming hall. It's a bit run down in the locker rooms and showers but the actual swimming hall is brightly lit and nice. Lots of space for swimming and if you don't go during peak hours it's surprisingly calm. Would definitely recommend having a swim if you don't mind the rustic look.
Nadeshiko K — Google review
The place is bit worn, but will supposedly be renovated this summer (2025). My kids (5 and 3) loved it though, and didn't care at all about the wear. There was a waterslide that was perfect for them (even better than in Täby). Towards the afternoon, more teens arrived. Their games were a bit too intensive close to my kids, but again my kids didn't seem to mind. Good water pressure and temperature in the showers and fountains. Really friendly staff. Plenty of attentive guards by the water.
John T — Google review
My husband was running a marathon in Uppsala. So I took my 3 children here. We were quickly disappointed to find out the water adventure component was closed for maintenance on August 16th, 2025. When I had looked at their English website, there was no mention of a closure. However, when I looked at the Swedish website, the announcement was there. But we were already at the pool after an Uber ride from our hotel. For a Saturday, I’d expect many families to visit the pool. Not at all on this day. It was not busy. We still paid to experience a Swedish pool. We liked the indoor family pool. The water was warm enough. My 3 year old daughter loved it. To access the outdoor pool, however, you have to walk past the Olympic sized laned pool. The outdoor pool is NOT heated. It was windy that day. My 2 older boys are the adventurous type and wanted to brave the cold pool and my toddler was not interested. As I tried to take my daughter back to the indoor pool, a lifeguard with good English stopped me. He was helpful and yet NOT helpful at the same time. Turned out I had to watch all 3 of my kids -as a parent, I can’t be at 2 places. My boys even wanted to try the middle of the Olympic pool. We asked the lifeguard as he seemed interested in knowing what we were doing. In his words, technically no, you can’t swim there but there is no one. So I let my boys swim there. As I got my daughter settle at a table with chairs nearby, the same lifeguard approached my boys who are now in the pool. As I went back to my boys, the lifeguard left. My boys explained that the lifeguard said that they can’t swim there because of the scuba diver who was at the bottom of the pool. So we were all back at the indoor kids’ pool, passing the empty adventure pool. What a tease! We were only there for about an hour before we left. I see plenty of signs around this place printed in Swedish and English. Since the English is included already, please update the English website too!

Crêperie Lemoni is a charming eatery that specializes in both savory and sweet pancakes with a Greek twist. The food is incredibly delicious, and the owner is exceptionally pleasant, making it a place you'll want to visit again. If you're fortunate, you may even get to enjoy live Greek music, so it's advisable to make a reservation for such occasions. Nestled in a cozy courtyard away from busy streets, the restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options.
Very polite owner, great service! Tasty crepes / galletes with fresh ice cream! Greek Mountain Tea beverage and Aperol by the inner garden! Cozy atmosphere in the city center!

The change in ownership has reduced the quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff. What used to be a nexus of creativity in the community, has now become just another pedestrian trap for tourists.

This is such an amazing space. You feel as if you are in an old French restaurant when you walk in. Everything feels so cool and old timey. The service was great - very nice lady. The Crepe was great. Great part of upsalla.

This place is located at the cozy closed from the roads yard, you can dine in and out. The menu offers vegan options and there was a lunch menu before as well. The galette that is on the picture is a Brie one on the menu, pretty delicious, vegan with olive paste in it!

This is a really nice cozy and calm place. The gallettes and crêpes are both of very high quality and the voreia stout beer I tried had a rich flavor. Very nice atmosphere and I recommend it fully.

If you are looking for some nice pancakes (salty and sweet) with a little greek touch, this is your place to be!! Food was amazing and you get so much for the cost, albeit it was on the higher end of cost. Staff and service was very kind and professional. I would highly recommend everyone to try this restaurant.

Tasty food and quite cozy atmosphere, even though it was super hot inside. They made several mistakes with the order throughout the night, but the staff was super nice. It was a good experience! Note: it’s a bit expensive.

I absolutely loved my visit to Byblos Kök & Bar. The food is genuinely authentic and bursting with flavor—the meze selection was incredible. A definite must-visit if you're looking for top-tier Lebanese cuisine in Uppsala. Highly recommend the tasting menu!

Great flavours, fresh food and good service. Kids menu chicken and fries, for adult we choose the tasting menu, amazing food. Fabulous dessert. Quite busy road next to the restaurant, otherwise good location and a short walk from train station and city centre.

I cannot recommend this food enough !!! It is sensational. I have never had baba ganoids quite like it. The 12 dish tasting menu for 2 was brilliant and we couldn’t have been happier. Our server was fabulous and went above and beyond to look after us and he really made the evening brilliant. He was patient upbeat and chatty. Would happily come back anytime !
I B — Google review
Tried the 14 course menu for dinner. The variety and amount of food were very good, the food is served well and the restaurant interior is quite nice. The dishes were good, but not amazing - for my taste, there was too much olive oil on top of the mezze, and not everything was spiced as I would prefer it. The only really disappointing thing was that the flatbread was not freshly baked, and not even warmed up before serving. The price is reasonable for the quality and quantity.

Pan-Asian restaurant
Nestled atop the bustling Saluhall food hall in Uppsala, Jay Fu's is a delightful culinary gem that beautifully marries American and Asian flavors. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Kung-Fu master and restaurateur Jay Fu, this eatery offers a unique dining experience where expertly grilled meats meet tantalizing Asian specialties. With stunning views of the Fyris River and Kvarnfallet, it's an ideal spot for those who appreciate hearty dishes paired with fine wines.
Top place in Uppsala. Quite pricy as expected. But great food and vine and good service. Cozy environment and fantastic view. Not so much Asia though.

Highly recommend this gem! One of the best food experiences I have ever had in Sweden. Amazing flavours, exciting combinations and very versatile menu. Staff was very friendly and service was great. Will for sure go back and already excited to have a delicious meal here again!
Raven A — Google review
We tried the mixed starters and the mixed grill. The food was ok, but nothing was particularly good. For my taste, the starters were too greasy and heavy, and the steaks had enough barbecue sauce to overpower the meat's taste. The place is quite loud and dark. The staff seems to have been trained to serve in an American style - constantly asking about your food etc. I like the concept of the restaurant very much, but the visit didn't make a great impression.
Ada B — Google review
Our evening at Jay Fu’s was perfect! Everything we ordered was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Great and attentive service regardless of the busy Valentine’s day night, nice vibe as well and reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommend! We decided to share three starters between the two of us and after those and the mains we were extremely full - would definitely say one starter each will leave you satisfied.

We had a great experience in Jay Fu’s , menu selection is wide, we had Tuna, Rib eye and Pork belly followed by dessert creme brule, wine selection is also wide , we had Malbec and CavSuav with a dessert wine, presentation is excellent, fusion of flavor it is outstanding, tenderness and quality of food exceeded expectations! Service, care and recommendations were great in perfect tune to food, to my taste my favorite restaurant in Uppsala and maybe Sweden ...strongly recommend the place!

Only 3 stars for failing/refusing to make a cocktail. We went for my wife's 40th birthday. I had warned in advance that she wanted a virgin Pina colada to begin with, and was assured that there would be no issues making the cocktail. Sadly, the waiter awkwardly refused to make it, claiming something like "it won't taste good"? He did not offer an alternative either? Very strange behaviour. If an ingredient was missing, then be honest? And suggest something? Virgin mojito? Anything? Luckily, the food itself was gorgeous, please see the pictures. Service for the rest of the night was good, nothing stellar. We were still weirded out by the awkward refusal to let us spend money on a cocktail...

Restaurang Sofreh, a Persian eatery situated at Skomakargatan 16, is a charming establishment known for its delectable dishes inspired by the Persian cuisine. The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance and boasts an amiable staff. Polite staff, amazing fesenjan, and nice atmosphere and decorations. The sauce of fesenjan was creamy, and the meat was very tender. Lovely to see that they include chai with the food, and that it was actual chai, and not just some tea bags. At least to me, as a non-Iranian, it feels very authentic. I was impressed.
