Shopping mall
Located in the beautiful city of Ingolstadt on the Danube, Ingolstadt Village is an outlet center offering a wide range of shopping opportunities. As the second largest city in Upper Bavaria after Munich, Ingolstadt has much to offer visitors and residents alike. In addition to its cultural and historical highlights, this village provides a great opportunity for people to shop affordably, especially in the fashion sector.
Ingolstadt outlet is 1 hour away from Munich. Is it worth it to visit, I guess, yes. We went there and purchased a lot of staff but it's not that cheap. However, it is a beautiful place with plenty of parking. For non German people such as me, there is a tax free desks at the entrance of the outlet. Once you are done with shopping, you can visit and get your tax back. They will return in ur card only, not cash, and you will be required to get the letter stamped in the airport as well, then put it in the P.O. box in the airport.
Hamad B — Google review
Although it is not such a big outlet, it is nice looking and well organised. It is not overcrowded and there is plenty of parking spaces that were free of charge. It is very clean and tidy. Unfortunately, there is a limited selection in stores, but overall, it is worth visiting.
Milos L — Google review
A small cool open-air outlet, especially if you're into designer brands at a discount. It's got a relaxed vibe, and you can find some decent deals, though some styles might be a bit older. Plus, it's easy to get to from Munich if you fancy a shopping day trip.
Amy — Google review
Very nice place to shop and spend the afternoon. Higher end brands with not many options other than hat. Nike outlet was nice but a bit small. Great place to spend an afternoon though
Kelly P — Google review
This outlet is one of la village groups around the world like la village at Paris and London and Barcelona and many other cities., the collection very good , if you like shopping you can spend a day there ., Boss have nice collection and most of the brands., it’s 1 hour from Munich city center.,, Sunday is off Munich., there is a bus for the village take you from the city center few meters from Marinplatza station you can contact the village for make reservation for the bus it take you at 9:30 am and return back from the village at 15:30 ., be sure to go 10 mints before the time ., you will enjoy the time there
Hesham Y — Google review
Good deals. Generally cheaper than Munich stores. Best for shoes and watches. Bus frequency is limited from Ingolstadt Nord/ main station
Subodh S — Google review
Not a very huge outlet mall, but the brands are pretty sufficient.. In my opinion, Hong Kong outlet is cheaper 😂😂

Water park
Sauna
Donautherme Ingolstadt is a modern water park and spa that underwent renovations and enhancements, reopening in autumn 2022. It caters to families, athletes, and those seeking relaxation. The facility features an adventure pool for families, a dedicated area for children and toddlers, high-speed tubes and slides, as well as a swimming pool with waves. Additionally, there are outdoor pools with heated water.
A very pleasant place to relax. I visited it during the week, so there weren't many people in the area. The outdoor and indoor pools were great. I also liked the toboggans. However, I liked the wellness area the most. There were many options to choose from. The saunas were located inside, but also outside in the area in a beautiful setting. All areas were clean, the relaxation zones had beautiful views. I definitely recommend visiting. Price for visiting whole area after 6pm was 30€.
Štefan Ď — Google review
we were there at work day and paid 59€ for me and 2 kids only for 4hours. they say the slides will open an 14:00 we prolongnit for one more hour and the slides didnt open at all.Not worth at all. waist of money. what is worse there is that also everyone woeking there ia very ruds. visit on 13.01
Aulona — Google review
Donautherme Ingolstadt is ideal for families with children. It offers a slide tower with multiple slides, a wave pool, a pleasant toddler splash area, and a good dining option. A clear recommendation.
Michael — Google review
The pool options are somewhat limited, but still sufficient for a relaxing thermal day. The adults-only area is especially charming, with its outdoor pool surrounded by trees. The jacuzzi, offering both sitting and lying options, is very enjoyable, and the pool bar experience feels quite unique. Food and drink prices are the same with average restaurant and bar levels, though it’s best to keep expectations modest in terms of taste. The only area that could use improvement is the massage service — instead of the soothing after-effect one would expect, it felt rather light and left me wondering if the massage had really taken place. With some adjustments here, the overall experience could be even more satisfying.
Gökçen İ — Google review
Great place, very clean, comfortable, good water and also temperature. You can enjoy and relax big time!
Darius T — Google review
The slides are great fun but only open at 14:00 on a weekday, something not stated when you go on the slides page, only under the opening times on the website, which caught us out. The price is a bit high and doesn't seem to be less if you visit before the slides open, which are the main attraction for kids. We also had the fire alarm go off while we there and we had to evacuate. It told us to go outside which would have been great fun at 5 degrees in wet bathers, luckily the lady at the front counter let everybody stay indoors and handed out towels but I do wonder what their plan would be in a real emergency! Have everybody stand outside in wet bathers in winter? Overall, not quite worth the money, there is better places around!
Erwin A — Google review
Great place for whoke family. Amazing swimming pool for kids, great slides, swimming pool with waves. Also there is pool ony for swimming and outdoor pool wiht heated water. Good prices. We had a great time there. Only minus is because there were no guardians in part with slides. We were there on Saturday between 6-8 pm, and there were a lots of kids on slides, a no one was watching them... I think that at least one guardian should keep an eye on slides. But besides that, amazing place. Very clean and very nice staff.

Mexican restaurant
El Chico in Ingolstadt is a vibrant Mexican restaurant that truly captures the essence of Mexico. With its inviting atmosphere, characterized by white walls, dark furnishings, and colorful accents, it’s a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Guests can indulge in a diverse array of Tex-Mex cuisine alongside refreshing cocktails and delightful vegetarian options. The outdoor beer garden offers a cozy spot to unwind in the evenings, making it an ideal place to enjoy good company over flavorful dishes.
A lively Mexican restaurant close to the Ingolstadt city center. I liked the taste and presentation of the food. The ambience definitely gives a Mexican feel. As an Asian I prefer spicy food and I was shocked to see the variety of chili sauces they offered. I went on a weekday and not bad I must say!
Priyanka M — Google review
One can have good Mexican food here. Restaurant has both inside and outside seating options. Ambience is cosy. Prices are reasonable and they have currently home made Melon Lemonade which I can recommend too… For me Menu is bit limited not much variation and options.

Lovely restaurant located a bit away frm city center, opposite to donau and besides dinau city center. The staff was friendly to us. Served us well and also helped to understand the menu properly. Complementing the whole experience the food was tasty and fresh as well. I have been there a couple of times, i qould definately recommend it.

The food was good, nothing too special. The service was great, and definetly a good thing that they accept card. I would give it 4 stars if the food wasn't soooooo small, I was really hungry after leaving the restaurant, got home and ate another meal basically 😂

Food is ok. I woukd down 700 cocktails here. They are so good. I have such a devil.
Patrick W — Google review
Great Mexican food, nicely big and tasty portions. Friendly but somewhat slow service. Around average prices.
Mike D — Google review
Price/quality Is fair . Who already knows Mexican kitchen and culture can find an honest offers on their menu , From dishes to drinks. The furniture and ambient is optical nice And comfortable. Small biergarten is perfect in summer. I would not recommend to go there with children or very small children.
M. M — Google review
The worst Mexican food i have eaten so far, they have for some reason mixed in a lot of German ingredients (like broccoli and green beans) and the cheese was not even molten. The “sauce” is just mashed kidney beans without seasoning, I could not believe it. Please go to a different place if you want to eat proper Mexican! The personnel was nice at least

The best japanese food in the city! The staff is so nice and will help you with any questions you may have. The food is just amazing, everything taste great and it's not too westernized!! Really authentic and the price is completely accurate for the quality and quantity!! The lunch menu is a bit smaller than the dinner one but it's still delicious! You can only pay with card starting at 30€ ;)

Sushi really tasty, and also the starters are good. For stars because at 22.00 on Friday they don't serve desert anymore because the kitchen is closed. Recommended but you have to go there early.

With its cozy atmosphere, this restaurant offers an impressive variety of dishes ranging from classic pizzas to delightful Mediterranean specialties and healthy vegetarian options. Whether you're craving a hearty meal or something lighter, La Piazzetta ensures there's something for everyone to enjoy.
We came here last-minute as a large party with very little German speaking skills on New Year's Eve. We had no waiting time. This place is very kid friendly. The food, drinks and service is VERY good. The price for the quality of food is spectacular. I will definitely make this my go-to place in Ingolstadt from now on.
Elizabeth H — Google review
Well, I gave 5 stars after my first visit. But my mind has changed after second and third. We ordered exactly the same foods we had last time, but the quality and taste of the food was very disappointing. Bigger portion of pasta but very low quality. Pizza was okay and little bit salty though. Also, the employees looked very tired and never felt welcomed. I'm glad that I found this restaurant after outlet shopping. Pizza was a bit salty but big enough for two and pasta was so goooooooood.

Audi Forum Ingolstadt is a multifaceted complex that includes an Audi museum showcasing cars and motorcycles, as well as restaurants and an arthouse cinema. The city of Ingolstadt holds literary significance as the birthplace of Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein, making it a compelling destination for literature enthusiasts. Additionally, the forum's restaurants offer stylish settings and high-quality culinary delights, having received recognition for their excellence in service and ambiance.
Awesome place, some truly iconic vehicles steeped in history. If only some of these cars could tell stories. Only €5 entry fee which is more than good value for money.
Oliver Y — Google review
Very enjoyable visit today. Friendly and welcoming staff. Free parking for museum visitors, have your ticket validated at the museum ticket desk. Only €5 for entry! A lot better value than other German car manufacturer museums. Great exhibits. A special R8 display at the moment. Discount for the restaurant also included. I think the coffee I had in the cafe was the best I’ve tasted in Germany. And a very nice lady running the bar and cafe. Also you can observe customers collecting their new Audi cars, here at the factory.
N J — Google review
We visited the Audi Museum today and it was outstanding! First, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very helpful as well. The museum spans 3 floors. It covers the entire history of Audi with amazing cars that date back to the beginning. The cars on display are unreal. They also have motorcycles and some military vehicles. They also have a gift shop in the museum and another gift shop in one of the show rooms. We took the train from Munich and a short bus ride to the museum. Bus stop is right in front of the museum. Cost to enter is €5 per person which is an amazing price for this museum. We had a great time and loved our visit. Highly recommend!
Michael M — Google review
Very welcoming staff. Their museum is not huge but has all what a fan can require. I was extremely lucky and they got to see and hear one of the Auto Union V16 from the 50s outside as they started up. What a thrill!!!! 100% recommended

A Must-Visit for Car Enthusiasts: Audi Forum Experience! The Audi Forum was a truly nice experience and a definite highlight for any car enthusiast! I absolutely loved the design of the building – it's an architectural marvel in itself. The showrooms were fantastic, showcasing an incredible range of cars that were a joy to explore. Just seeing all those vehicles up close was captivating. I highly recommend visiting! My only regret is not being able to do the factory tour, as it seems you need to buy tickets well in advance, perhaps even weeks ahead, so plan accordingly if that's on your list. Despite missing the factory tour, the overall experience was highly recommended!
Carlos C — Google review
Been wanted to visit this place for a very long time. Finally I did it and it really didnt disappoint. The history of the brand and the historical display is amazing. Spent almost the entire day reading all the description. Entry fees of 5 Euros well spent.
KC N — Google review
A very nice museum for autotomotive fans, with dozens of Audi models on display, and quite a bit of historic information and context. It's not as big or impressive as Mercedes or BMW's museums, but still great nontheless, with fewer crowds and also cheaper.
Alex J — Google review
The Audi museum is much quieter than the bmw, mercedes, and Porsche museums that I also visited on this trip. It's slightly more substantial than the Porsche museum and similar to the bmw, except like the Porsche museum they let you get closer to the cars. The people here are much nicer than at the bmw, and for just 5€ entry you also get free parking. Factory tour is 9€ extra. Much better experience than the bmw museum and welt. Almost makes you want to buy another Audi, even though my old A8 gave me nightmares. Also 10% discount at their restaurant, which is well priced unlike some other places.

Cross Gate, also known as Kreuztor gate, is a picturesque and delightful example of Medieval architecture in Ingolstadt. It is the most beautiful of the remaining town gates and serves as the city's most famous landmark. The huge and imposing building features four corner towers and small limestone decorations, making it a key attraction for visitors. Additionally, nearby attractions such as St. Maria de Victoria Kirche and Klanzepark offer further opportunities for exploration and photography in this charming German city.
Cool looking gate
Kenneth U — Google review
The seven-tower Kreuztor is part of the second Ingolstadt city wall built in 1363 . It is the only one of the original four main gates Feldkirchnertor , Hardertor , Kreuztor and Donautor that has been preserved. The name of the gate is derived from the former leper house to the west of the city, the Holy Cross.
David A — Google review
Impressive entry to the old town. Old cobblestone streets add to the experience of walking through and going back in time.
Bob R — Google review
The Kreuztor, built in 1385, is the western gateway to the medieval city center of Ingolstadt. The tower's name is derived from the leper house belonging to the Church of the Holy Cross (Kirche zum heiligen Kreuz), which stood to the west of the city walls until its destruction in the Schmalkaldic War in 1546. Driving your car passing through the Cross Gate, both during day and night time, will give you the feeling of medieval period.
Bill L — Google review
Kreuztor is one of the most iconic landmarks in Ingolstadt and definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring the city. This medieval gate, built in the 14th century, is beautifully preserved and serves as a reminder of the city’s rich history. The red brick architecture and the distinctive towers make it a perfect spot for photos – especially at sunset when the light brings out the warm tones of the walls. The area around Kreuztor is lively, with many cafés, restaurants, and small shops nearby. It’s a great place to take a walk, grab a coffee, and soak up the atmosphere of the old town. The structure itself is not large, but it’s incredibly picturesque and full of charm. It’s also interesting to see how the old and modern parts of the city blend here – the gate stands proudly at the entrance to the pedestrian zone, symbolizing Ingolstadt’s heritage. A small historical plaque provides some background information, which helps appreciate the site even more. While the gate itself doesn’t take long to visit, it’s the overall surroundings that make the experience memorable. If you’re in Ingolstadt, don’t miss a quick stop here – it’s a great spot to start or end your city walk.

Asamkirche Maria de Victoria is a remarkable church in Ingolstadt, designed by the celebrated Late Baroque architects, the Asam brothers. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior of this 1730s church is a stunning example of Rococo design. Lavishly adorned with carved stucco, marquetry woodwork, and gilding, it features a 490-square-meter ceiling painting depicting the Incarnation of the Lord.
This church it's quite beautiful... From the outside it seems a little simple but on the inside its wonderful... Though a bit small. Still, I really like the many paintings on the wall and the big one on the ceiling... They also have some interesting relics and other religious stuff. The entrance cost about 3€ but I think it's worth it just for the beauty of its interior.

You would never guess from the outside that such beauty is inside! Cost 4euro to enter. Completely worth it.
Kathy J — Google review
The Church of St Mary of Victory is a Rococo masterpiece built by the Asam Brothers in 1736. I have been on a quest to see all of the Asam Brothers' churches, which are mostly in Bavaria. The interior is lavishly adorned with carved stucco, marquetry woodwork, and gilding. The use of light colors and shapes inspired by nature are typical of the Rococo style. The ceiling has the largest flat ceiling fresco in the world, and depicts Mary as Queen of Heaven and mediator of divine grace. Each corner portrays one of the four continents paying homage to Mary. The Lepanto monstrance was created by Augsburg goldsmith Johann Zeckl in 1708 to commemorate the victory of the Christians over the Turks in the naval battle of Lepanto. A sinking Turkish ship, the fleeing Sultan, and drowning harem ladies are depicted in intricate detail. A monstrance is a vessel to display the consecrated host. The word 'monstrance' comes from the Latin 'monstrare', which is also the root for the word 'demonstrate'.

Needless to say that the touch of the Asams brothers leave you surprised every time you see their works. the entrance is 3.5€ cash. but its worth more the exterior os very simple but once i stepped foot inside, the 490 m2 painting on the ceiling with its meaning is more than impressive, of course the main aisle is something from another level. a vey astoniching church to the Holy Maru lady of Victory. This place was amazing in person. Pictures don't do it justice.. so much to see.. So much detail.

There is an Entry fee of 3 eur,but its worth to visit. The interior architecture is so mind blowing. The history note is available in English also,so that you get a clear picture of each sculpture, dont visit ingolstadt to see ONLY this.
Asha V — Google review
Beautiful church, really worth to pay and see this paintings, how also changes their perception, depending on from which side of the church you observe them: I'm impressed!
Marta K — Google review
A one of the kind church, starting with the name, inspired not by a patron saint and closing with the stuccos. It worth a visit despite the lack of heating in winter and the limited visit time. The marquetry is splendid and I won't say a word about the unique ceiling and stuccos. Enjoy, 3 euros well spent!

Excellent waiter and food. Waiter was attentive and educated. Great experience at AVUS after a great day at Audi Forum.

Well let me tell you straight away, I had higher hopes. This place isn't cosy, u always have the feeling like being in a business lunch with someone important,it's not cosy enough to have higher rating. What's even worse the meals (I've tried 4 different, because we were a group of 6) weren't executed exceptionally well, just fine, you'd think of more than for the price.

Great quality. Kind and helpful service. Good atmosphere. If you have a chance try it

Food :( not recommended. In my view food is of central importance to the experience while you are visiting a food joint, irrespective of whether you are visiting a normal restaurant or a fine dine-in venue. Unfortunately food options for dinner were limited & even from limited options, food was not close to good in taste. I being a vegetarian, had ordered “Safon risotto”, it was below average in taste. Soup was ordered, it was good in taste but limited in quantity. So overall, bread & beer could only helped me not goto to another restaurant for dinner 😅

Going there for years and always the real Italian experience. Just pasta on the menu but really good pasta. I can especially recommend the Bolognese and Arrabiata or the daily specials. Cappuccino and espresso is authentic!

Not sure is one of the oldest restaurant in Ingolstadt, but it is definitely one of the best one! Amazing meat quality, and wonderful cooking skills in preparing the steak! Strongly recommend the fillet or T-bone if you have the appetite 😄❤️

I came here few times. It is always so nice and lovely. The owner was there every time I was there and was nice. He doesn't sit around but really there to serve customers. The waitress was efficient and friendly. They offer good quality beef as well as fish and burger. The steak comes with garlic bread and butter. Sometimes the meat was overcooked. The place isn't so spacious but it is very clean and tidy.

Had a delicious evening meal with the family. Pizzas were great and not too loaded with cheese. I ordered the seafood food pasta which was very good. Wait staff were very busy yet remained super friendly. Good option for Italian if your in that neighbourhood.

DO not reccommend this place. Was looking for place to fine dine with family while visitng ingolstadt and my hotel reccommended this place. Went to this resturant for dinner with family and deided to walk as it was not too far from the hotel. Resturant is set on the side of main road in the middle of the park or just lot of trees around it. First impression if the restaurant was decent looking place with touch of Italian art deco and wood fired pizza Oven at the entry. Got seated on one of the side tables where we ordered our drinks and food. Couple of pizzas and some lamd dish with salad and some pasta. Food was average not very high standard but things got worse when i saw salad come to life on my plate, it was about 2 inch long green worm hiding in the salad. I lost my appetite after seeing that Green crawing thing on my plate. Also to mention this resaurant does not hold very high standards when it comes to cleanlyness. As you already know what happened to my food i also lost a my glass of wine to a fly or some kind of flying bug. Overall 2* for this place as this was my first and last experinece goijng to this place. Giving 2* as waitress was polite and well mannered.
