Gardens
Jardí Botànic Marimurtra is a serene botanical garden located in Costa Brava, featuring a diverse collection of over 4,000 plant species from around the world. The garden offers picturesque sea views and is known for its well-cared-for exotic plants. Visitors can enjoy encounters with friendly parrots that are unafraid of people, making for great photo opportunities.
The ticket is a bit pricey (10€) but the garden is nicely maintained, the staff is very friendly and there are lockers available to leave your stuff (1€ fee). The views are beautiful and there is 1:30-2h of walking so i think its good value. There is loads of different plants to see and paths you can take and walk around. It was beautiful
Sara M — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens I have seen. We appreciated the paths and diversity in plants and flowers. The views over the coast are also incredible. Would recommend visiting. Prices are around 12 a person. Which is decent, since it takes a lot of work to keep a garden so perfectly shaped. It still feels natural and not to much organised.
Stijn F — Google review
A bit pricy but the garden is well maintained, they have a great selection of more exotic plants and it’s not the type of tour you finish in ten minutes. But make sure you see all 3 parts of it, it’s pretty easy to miss the one on the left as you first enter. Also expect that most people stay in line to take pictures of themselves with the otherwise great sea view and aim for weekdays so it’s less crowded
Adda M — Google review
It’s a botanical garden-nothing less, nothing more. The pavilion view is stunning without a doubt. It’s a bit of a trek to get to on foot from downtown, so be prepared, especially in the heat. The price of admission is a bit high in my opinion. I would recommend going as early as possible to beat the crowds.
Robert M — Google review
If you’re in blanes this garden is a must!! There’s lockers for ur belongings, it needs a good 2 hours to fully enjoy it! The views are amazing, heaven on earth!
Joya O — Google review
Extremely beautiful and scenic place. Highly photogenic spots all over the location, including the beautiful gardens and seaside cliff. Ticket price seems a bit high but really worth it.
Julian C — Google review
The most beautiful garden I’ve ever gone to. Truly paradise! If you come at 2 p.m, the ticket is 2 euros less.
Chelsea T — Google review
There is possibility to buy tickets online, make sure to do that, otherwise you will be in long lines. Also, theres waiting line for taking picture in front of Gazebo on the observation deck. Overall it is very relaxing and amazing. Theres also Café in the garden, it was full when we went to it. Its uphill road to it, but there is a transportation option from costa Brava to it.

Platja De Blanes is a stunning 4-kilometer beach in the town of Blanes, Catalonia, Spain. It is part of a series of sections including Platja de SAbanell and Cala Sant Francesc, all boasting golden sand and calm waters. Savaney stands out as the largest beach in the area with numerous bars and restaurants nearby. Beautiful beach lined with colorful houses and rocky formations. There are no chairs or umbrellas to rent on the beach, so you have to bring your own. But it’s right in town, so there are plenty of great cafes and restaurants near by.

Really great location to get out and explore a large size beach with lots of area to sunbathe and picnic. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby with lots of options with lots more than just souvenirs. Paid parking available on either side of the beach and made it easy to get back to the car when needed.

It is amazing view from it, you can see whole coast and city from it. If you want to enjoy and take some breath taking pictures this is place for it.

A beautiful stretch of coast with unspoilt views of the entire region. Not a single piece of litter to be seen, It's perfect to stroll, jog, or cycle along, and it's amazing to just admire it. I'd highly recommend this beautiful stretch of the coast.
Rob W — Google review
Lovely place to visit. The steps are pretty steep but there is a handrail. Great place for photos etc. Once up there it is very uneven so not suitable for all.

Portal de la Costa Brava offers a stunning location with beautiful views. Visiting outside of the peak vacation season ensured a much quieter atmosphere, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Costa Brava region. Whether you're enjoying the picturesque scenery or exploring the nearby attractions, this destination provides a serene and enjoyable experience.

Perched on the Sant Joan mountain, Castell de Sant Joan in Blanes is an 18th-century fortress with a rich history of defending against pirates and protecting Barcelona from northern attacks. Despite some maintenance issues, the castle offers breathtaking panoramic views of Blanes and its surroundings. The climb to the top may be challenging, but the stunning vistas make it a must-visit attraction for travelers in Blanes.
Perfect spot to see Blanes. Parking nearby but also touristic path with stairs. But the views are definitely worth it! You see all town and surrounding mountains around. Small water fountain to fill your bottle or splash your face is on the side. You can walk all around. It's a great place for taking your holiday pics. On information plates, you can find historical details about the place.
Kristyna S — Google review
Really worth to go if you go to Blanes! Amazing views of the city and sea. Bring water because there are countless stairs to get there but again, is really worth it, it's beautiful. (There is a little font of water right just in the entrance on the right side of the castle, not very visible but there is one in case anyone needs to drink water.
Jacqui A — Google review
Nice place, not really a castel, but an old town. Nice to make some drone footage. Food and drinks around, prices are okay, €15 pizza, €20-30 main. Nice for a half day. W better to come in the morning, cooler and fewer people.

Jardí Botànic Tropical Paratge Pinya de Rosa is a tropical botanical garden located in the southernmost point of Costa Brava, within the Selva region. It is about 20 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea and close to popular resorts like Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar. The garden boasts a diverse collection of cacti, succulents, and palm trees surrounding a picturesque pool. Visitors can also encounter friendly parrots on-site.
Worth every penny, gorgeous place if you love plants and amazing views on the ocean, beaches, hills etc...
Peaky R — Google review
The price of admission is well worth its money, especially if you combine everything into one day, visiting a couple of other gardens nearby. Once upon a time it was just a marvellous place. You can see that its founder put his whole soul into it. A large area with a gorgeous collection of succulents. Now the garden clearly needs investment and care. Some of the plants look sick and old. The greenhouses and buildings are ruined. I would like this place to find somehow money so that its former majesty can return.
Ksenia K — Google review
All sorts of cactuses and exotic plants, amazing place for pictures and to chill, the ticket at weekday was only 5€
Aleksej S — Google review
A very wonderful palm and cactus garden with a wide variety of plants. Definitely worth visiting and the entrance ticket only costs 5€. Would suggest visiting on less hot day as there's not much of a shadow there to hide if the temperature goes past 30c.
Polar F — Google review
It's okay. Nothing special, but it's not bad. You can see some really nice plants. There is a gift shop, prices for the small cactuses are from 2 to 3.5 €, there are some other things as well. And you can also get your picture taken with a parrot or a snake. It costs 5€ for the picture, it's taken and developed by them. You can't take it your self

Very nice garden, mostly cacti. Entrance 5 euros. Free parking right next to the garden.

Spanish restaurant
Sa Malica-Can Ton is a well-established eatery in Blanes, offering a range of delectable seafood and paella dishes. The restaurant boasts a spacious beachfront terrace where patrons can relax and enjoy their meals. Located at Placa Catalunya 13, 17300 Blanes in Costa Brava, this restaurant is known for its longstanding presence in the area. They pride themselves on providing a menu that combines traditional flavors with modern culinary techniques using locally sourced ingredients.
We were in Blanes for a day trip from Barcelona. I wasn’t hopeful about finding a good restaurant but how wrong I was proven. Hands down one of the best pulpo I’ve ever had in Spain. The texture was unbelievable. It was not crowded when I ordered it but I liked it so much I had to order again. This time it was dinner time and all tables were full, orders were flying all around. I thought they will drop the ball this time but no, again I was wrong. The chefs know what they’re doing. Paella was awesome as well, it had a good level of socarrat on the sides.
Emre T — Google review
Food was ok. We got the set menu and it was served very fast. I like the salad the most, Paella has too much sauce for my liking. I have the strawberry for dessert and surprisingly refewshing. Would recommend for the view and being close to the beach, but definitely better food somewhere else
Lydia L — Google review
View was nice, but food was very bad- fish was very fatty without any kind of seasoning, without any side dish. Meat was like a dunlope tyre - hard, thick, uneatable, in side dish was couple of dry french fries, no sauce,no vegetable. The price is high but food is very bad, low quality. Waitres was not interested in complains about the food. Price and performance is not good.
Elina S — Google review
I truly recommend this place for a wonderful dinner! My boyfriend and I have been here twice already, and both times we left very satisfied. ✅ The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, always happy to help with choosing dishes. ✅ Unlike many other restaurants, here they genuinely care about you: they check in to see if everything is good and provide service on the highest level. ✅ I especially liked that they announce the freshly caught seafood of the day — such a nice touch! The food tastes absolutely amazing, and compared to other places, the prices are very reasonable. 💯 Definitely 10/10! A big thank you to our server Hugo for the outstanding service!
Софія Д — Google review
The food tasted good according to all of us. But the lamb was raw in some places, one of us could not eat one of his lamb ribs because it was raw all the way through. My brother ate grilled shrimps that costed 29€, for this price you expect very good quality. However, my brother got food poisoning efter these shrimps! I understand that every restaurant can make mistakes, but I was disappointed. The grilled seabass, spaghetti bolognese and calamares were very good.
Jossan — Google review
Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. We had a reservation, but after 30 minutes no one had asked us if we wanted anything to eat or drink. Especially in this heat, a simple drink would have been very welcome! We spoke to the staff twice, and both times they said, “I’ll be right there,” but no one ever came. Meanwhile, three tables that arrived after us were helped without delay. In the end, we left without having anything to eat or drink. Very unfortunate.
Mohamad A — Google review
Excellent service, friendly waiters, delicious food, beautiful view. Large selection of food, delicious desserts, large portions. I recommend shrimp salad:)

The food is the best and the service is outstanding. I joust had Crema Catalan as desert and for dinner I had Paella with noodles. It's seafood with noodles. It's the best! Try it Ps: I was there with a group of four.
Moritz W — Google review
Absolutely amazing dishes here. I highly recommend trying the paella. The flavor is 🤌🏻
Adriel S — Google review
The food was terrible. They served the meat a minute after we ordered, making us suspect they just warmed up something from a previous guest. And, to make matters worse, it wasn't good at all. The Galician octopus was inedible. The entrecôte was also a disappointment. The French fries seemed at least several days old. The sangria - the cheapest bottle of wine, garnished with two slices of lemon and three ice cubes. And this is not a cheap place. The waiter, on the other hand, was okay and seemed to understand the issue. I'll give him 2 stars for his service
Мария С — Google review
Very negative experience! The paella was overcooked, crusty and so dry, we had a strong suspicion it's from yesterday. We told the waiter and then were unable to pay and leave for over 30 min.
Ola — Google review
My favourite paella in Blanes. One of the best choices in the village for seafood or typical dishes, with a local chef and his 40 years experience in preparing delicious paellas and seafood dishes, and always working with high quality and very fresh products.
Jordi J — Google review
Nice place, the food was tasty, but... Unfortunately we were asked to pay twice (!), because the payment was "cancelled". So I expected, that in any case I could contact with the restaurant stuff, when I'm back home and solve the problem. That didn't happen, there's no answer from them and I overpaid about 30 euros. Be aware of that if they ask you to pay again, you're not going to get this money back.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making you feel right at home from the moment you step inside.
Me and friend set out to find some nice paella while on holiday. This was the restaurant we all agreed upon, and we are glad we did. The food was really, really good. Especially the seafood rice paella. Everything we wanted it to be. The staff were fantastic. The women attending us tried her very best to understand our English, which was really appreciated. Thankyou. We want to come here again before we head home or if we ever come back. Highly recommend.

SESALA is a great place for a casual meal or drinks with friends. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
We went in just for a quick bite on the way down from the Botanic Gardens. Would highly recommend. The quality of the food was impressive and could’ve easily eaten 4 plates of the Gambas con alho!!!!

Great place with great environment! A kind old gentleman gave us very nice and welcoming service! We tried the mussels, paella and some sort of tapa with red pepper and cheese in the 20 euro daily menu. They are all fresh, meanwhile the portion of food and wine you have from the daily menu really deserve the price. If you are in a hurry, I would say the service is not the quickest, but if you want to enjoy some time in a restaurant quiet and cozy, this is your place.

We wanted to order paella for 2 adults. We were 2 adults and 1 small child. We were told we have to pay additional 5 euro for empty plate to our daughter just only she took a place. We order only water and wait 10 minutes just to pay by card, even restaurant was almost empty. We ordered 2 gas waters according to menu 0.5l. We received 0.33 but had to pay for 0.5. Additional we were charged for ice cubes to water. Don't recommend. Very cheap trick

WORST restaurant in Blanes ever. It was Saturday and this was the only restaurant where we could book a table for 9, but when we arrived at 14:30, there was nothing prepared, we had to set some tables together by ourselves. After waiting for 20 min, I went to pick up the menus because nobody was coming. 10 min later, the waiter came asking for the beverages and he left for another 20 min. coming back and asking for the plates. We could only eat the daily menu (29€), no other dishes to choose from. 7 menus + 2 kids menus (12€ each, only two dishes to choose from), beverages, bread and desserts included (as it was said on the menus). We started eating starters at 16:10. We asked for bread, bringing only 2 pieces for 9 people. We had wine and took no glasses to drink it with. We got two bottles of water for 9 people and they made us paid for them. We ordered paella for 2 and fideuá for 3 and they did the other way round, further more, the paella was half cooked. We had to wait another 30 min. for the deserts and the coffee. It was horrible. We finally could left the restaurant at 18:00, not without complaining for the service, for the long wait and for making us paying for something included on the menu. Moreover, we weren't the only ones complaining: an other family did complain too when leaving. I WON'T RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE.

Day 2

Center of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Càmping La Masia, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Camping Resort Els Pins. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Campground
Càmping La Masia is a family-friendly campsite located in Blanes, Costa Brava, offering a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere. It provides various accommodation options including pitches, bungalows, and modern mobile homes with beachfront views. The campsite features swimming pools, splash parks, playgrounds for children, and a range of activities for all ages. Additionally, it is conveniently situated near the beach and offers easy access to supermarkets and restaurants.
1st time on a campsite. Mobile was Comfort XL for 3 of us. Pools very busy, so be prepared to sit on the grass. Shop/bakery on site was very reasonable.

I did not give it a 5* as I can't compare to the other euro camp standards yet, but we have just done 10 days at La masia via Euro camp. It is amazing!! 5 minutes walk to blanes bus terminal to get the bus to Barcelona, Barcelona Airport or girona via Sagales bus company. Tickets for 2 adults to Barcelona is €15 so a great deal. The bus is a coach and the only stop was Barcelona and took 1 hour, so really good. As its a coach, there is lots of space under the coach in the luggage/ buggy storage area. You can also buy you tickets online and show it to the driver. We got off at la sagera with the first tourist sight being la sagrada familia (25 mins walk) Supermarkets 4 minutes walk, (mercadona and Consum) right next to the bus terminal. Not little corner stores they are big supermarkets, so they are very competitive prices compared to onsite or small corner shops The camp is VERY clean- every morning someone is cleaning the whole grounds The accommodation is well spread out we stayed in 2 mobile homes. Comfort xl which was much bigger compared to the standard comfort, which we had for the first week, so will book that one again. 4 pools - 2 kids pools, great for little ones. And then 2 big pools. Big enough to actually swim and jump in. The kids pools are so much fun with slides and the giant water bucket and nice colourful designs. Each pool is in a separate area of the park so I've kids pool and one adult pool near the entrance of the site and the other kids pool and adult pool is in the middle of the site. Both have a restaurant attached to it. Evening entertainment for the kids is fun and engaging for them Onsite laundrette €5.50 to wash your clothes (bring your own washing up powder) we put in a whole black bin bag worth of clothes and €4.50 to dry. 2 washing machines per laundrette room and one dryer. Onsite restaurant for lunch and dinner reasonably priced 2 adult meals with drinks for €25 but the quality was OK, I would eat there again for convenience but much better to eat at a Spanish restaurant, they also don't even sell Paella! There is clearly labelled mobile homes around the site which act as a reception for the companies who have mobile homes/ holiday reps to speak to if you have any issues. I saw 2 eurocamp reps and they spoke great English to help us with some questions. Overall I would come again for sure it's a great location for a holiday, with no car needed as everything is on our doorstep! I would just remember to clean the space on arrival or tell the eurocamp staff that youe not happy and maybe they will get the cleaners back in.

Excellent holiday at La Masia, facilities were excellent and staff were really nice. The only negative is the lack of entertainment on site. Travelled with small kids, and there was very little for them. A regular kids disco similar to other camping sites and I would wholeheartedly give 5 stars.

Campsite itself is great. Clean tidy and friendly staff. Would recommend. The eurocamp accommodation we had was below expectations though. Historically we have always been pleased with eurocamps so was surprised this time around.

Las Masia Camping – Fell Short of Expectations Overall, Las Masia Camping didn’t meet our expectations. The site felt cramped compared to other camping and bungalow stays we’ve had, and parking next to the accommodation was extremely difficult. Our bungalow itself was surprisingly spacious, but we had to give it a serious deep clean upon arrival—always check under the beds and flip the mattresses. My brother-in-law’s family unfortunately caught head lice from the pillows in their bungalow, so I strongly recommend bringing your own. We did, and thankfully avoided that issue. The pool was as expected—overcrowded and loud—but that’s typical for peak season, so no complaints there. The water park, however, was excellent when it wasn’t chaotic. That said, there were no lifeguards on duty at the water park, only at the main pool. This became a real concern: my 3-year-old son was hurt multiple times, nearly breaking his nose after older kids slammed into him on the flume. Many didn’t wait for the person ahead to exit before sliding down, and some even went down in groups of 4 or 5, causing injuries. Kids were walking back up the slides while others were coming down—total chaos. A single lifeguard enforcing basic rules could have prevented this. Sadly, many parents didn’t seem to care either. Food at the pool was standard frozen fare—nothing exciting. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as it didn’t look appetizing. The beach nearby (not part of the campsite) wasn’t great—small, sharp stones instead of fine sand, even in the water. Blanes itself isn’t the most charming town in Spain. We’ve visited many places, and my wife grew up in Spain, so we know the difference. Around the campsite, there’s not much going on—just a few kebab shops and an arcade (which was fun for one night). For a better meal, head to the port area about 3km away; it’s more authentic and worth the drive. On the positive side, our bungalow (1215) was well located—just behind the shop and bakery, and a short walk to public showers and toilets. The bakery and shop were actually reasonably priced for a camping site. Unfortunately, a major downside was our neighbor: a staff member named Gabriel who stayed in the bungalow next to us. He was rude and unprofessional. We were told by reception that if there was space next to our bungalow, we could park our car—even a second one. There was space, but Gabriel insisted we couldn’t use it, claiming it blocked a gate (which was unused and cluttered with broken sun chairs). We respected that and moved the car. A few days later, after buying lots of groceries, we parked again in the same spot—carefully positioned not to block anything—and Gabriel made another scene, threatening to report us to management. Nothing came of it, but it created an uncomfortable vibe for the rest of the holiday. It became clear he wanted the space for his own convenience—to turn the company golf cart and hang laundry, rather than using his private terrace like everyone else. Overall, the best part of the holiday was spending time with family and enjoying the water park when it wasn’t chaotic. If you're considering camping in this region, I’d personally recommend Camping & Bungalows Platja Brava in Pals—far better beach, more spacious layout, and Pals itself is a much nicer village.

Bullet points if in a rush or don't want to read. •Great location, close to the beach. •food on site is hit/miss. Order spanish dishes. •Campsite is extremely noisy until about 2am. Noise curfew not enforced. •Kids will love the pools, but they lack hygiene. •Shalets, you get what you pay for. I do regret "cheaping out" on this one. •Some staff are lovely, some have given up on the task and will let you know with their manner. • Grounds kept very well. Landscaping staff earn their keep. We arrived in the campsite late evening and were handed the keys and told we would have to find the rental ourselves, as we booked through a third party it was not their responsibility. We were given good directions though. The mobile/ shalet was not dirty, but was not spotless either. We were so tired after a long day we didn't care, plus we were in "holiday mode". We were so tired, we didn't really pay attention to the noise from some of the neighbours on the first night. It was only every other night that we realised that some people do not abide by the hours of silence, supposed to be enforced on site. This noise mostly originated from the overwhelming number of members of a certain "nomad" community. I think the security were a bit apprehensive about confronting them. The Central pool was a favourite for the kids, but the pool was very crowded and you won't avoid getting landed on by a cannonball at some point. Some parents were taking their toddlers into the pool without swimming nappies or even bathing suits, yes, naked babies. I found this disturbingly unhygienic. The two lifeguards may not be enough for the amountof people. Is it common practice abroad? Am I being a Ken? There was the usual carry on of people reserving their loungers for the day with beach towels, but in fairness you should still find one. The toilets at the pool were absolutely sparkling. Kudos to the cleaner in this area. You deserve a raise. The food in the on site restaurant is hit and miss. In fairness, the local/ traditional dishes were bang on. Shame on me perhaps for ordering a burger in Spain, it was not cooked. The wife got a paella and it was delicious. The kids menu is standard enough and the kids aren't too fussy so no comment there. Overall I get the impression that this place was once an absolute diamond, but it's best years might be behind it. My advice to La Masia, Start being a bit more select about you clientele, enforce your curfew, promote the pool area cleaning lady to cleaning manager for the site, remind your staff that a smile goes a long way. You're in the business of making people's holiday a good/ happy experience. I would not return unless I knew all these had been put in motion.

Public beach
Platja de Sant Fransesc, also known as Cala Bona, is a stunning 200-meter beach located about 2km from the center of Blanes on the Costa Brava. The calm and crystal-clear sea makes it one of the most beautiful bays in the area. Sa Palomera adds to its picturesque charm, making it a lovely place for walking even outside of peak season.

The conditions of the Blanes theatre are deplorable, especially when compared to the Lloret theatre. It is cold in winter and hot in summer, access to the theatre is not adapted, the theatre is illuminated with spotlights that dazzle the spectators in the last rows of the seating area, poor sound equipment, lack of permanent projection equipment... As the theatre is, it must be assumed that the conditions for performing there are probably also inadequate. Churches & Cathedrals
Església de Santa Maria de Blanes is a remarkable Gothic church located in the heart of the historic center. It is intricately connected to the ruins of the Palace of the Viscounts of Cabrera, adding to its historical significance. The church boasts a well-preserved bell tower and an impressive Gothic facade, which are among the few remaining architectural elements from its original construction between 1350 and 1410.
While in Blanes I recommend you visit Santa Maria church which was constructed a few years after 1319. The church is joined to the old palace of the Viscounts of Cabrera to form one main building. The building had a major fire in 1936 and parts were destroyed and the rebuilding of the church took ten years (1939 - 1949). Well worth visiting and entry is free.

While visiting Blanes, we were exploring city, went to se the Church, and on our way there, we saw teens holding music instruments. We didn't know what it was all about, so we decided to wait a bit, to see what is going on. Than, drums started beating, and the ceremony started. It was so holy expiriance.

Mercat Blanes is an excellent destination for obtaining a wide selection of high-quality, locally sourced produce and meats. The staff at this establishment are known for being amiable and accommodating, although it is advisable to try speaking some Spanish as it will not only assist you but also demonstrate respect for the local culture. Additionally, the marketplace is well-maintained and the vendors are known to be organized, congenial individuals.
Great place to get your fresh fruit, vegetables and meats. Friendly and helpful people, but you have to make an effort as well try to break some Spanish, it will help but it will definitely be appreciated by the locals.

Santa Cristina Beach in Lloret de Mar is a popular spot with its 500 meters of fine golden sand and various amenities such as swimming, volleyball, and showers. The beach offers stunning views of the Ermita Santa Cristina chapel on the hill. It has a more intimate atmosphere compared to other beaches in the area, making it ideal for families with children due to its shallow waters and protection from the wind. Additionally, there are services available including a beach bar and sun loungers for relaxation.
This beach is a true paradise, with crystal-clear waters that reveal vibrant fish swimming just beneath the surface. The serene atmosphere is enhanced by the gentle waves, perfect for a relaxing day. You'll also notice women comfortably sunbathing topless, adding to the laid-back vibe. The combination of natural beauty, tranquil waters, and a carefree environment makes this beach a hidden gem, ideal for those seeking both relaxation and a touch of adventure. Whether you're swimming with the fish or simply enjoying the sun, it's an unforgettable experience.

Playa Santa Cristina, near Blanes, was my number one beach for its incredibly clear water — I had never seen anything like it, absolutely stunning. When I first visited, it was perfect. However, on my second visit yesterday, hoping to show it to my family, the water turned unexpectedly dirty with debris and seaweed after midday, which really surprised me. Still, the beach itself is beautiful, with fine pebbly sand, showers, toilets, a small café, and paid parking nearby.

Fantastic Beach Whilst we were staying in Malgrat Del Mar we discovered this beach and thought it was much better the one in Malgrat. So we came here almost every day after that. Supe nice, a bit remote but fantastic location, very scenic.

Lovely beach just outside Lloret that is likely quieter than main beaches. Sand is coarse like others in the area & does drop off at the water, but is shallower near the rocks at either end. Two beach bars/restaurants & free toilets available, plus sun loungers & deckchairs for hire. Parking payable but no issues.

The beach is very nice, but its beauty is spoilt by the hotel on the top of the cliff.

Pretty nice beach. I vent there in the afternoon and it was VERY crowded, but we did find a spot and the water wasnt full of people. There were just two things REALLY bothering me. One - jellyfishes. THEY WERE EVERYWHERE. They were fried egg jellyfishes (example photo) (not dangerous), but still kinda annoyed me. Two - the fact that the water was VERY murky. You coudnt see anything. Later in the evening it did cleared up a bit, but just a bit. There was one amazing spot. At the Total end of the beach. There was a huge rock that you could get on. You could dive, litterally swoim under it or (my favorite) Jumper from it to the water. It wasnt very high but I still enjoyed it a lot.

Camping Resort Els Pins is a natural haven located in Malgrat de Mar, just 50 meters from the expansive beaches. It's an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. The campsite offers comfortable accommodations and all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Els Pins. Our bungalow was brand new and the perfect place to relax after a long day at the beach and pools (which our niece LOVED). An extra mention of the thoughtful details from management that made our stay extra special. We’re still thinking about the paella lunch… Can’t wait to come back!

We booked the Mobil Home Premium 3, drawn by the website’s beautiful photos showcasing lush gardens, small hedges for privacy, and a peaceful atmosphere. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match our expectations. Our mobile home was—unlike the others—placed in a crowded corner, right next to three other cottages and an area with tents and caravans. There was little privacy and none of the greenery or garden-like feel that the other mobile homes had. Since the site was fully booked, we couldn’t change accommodations, which was a major disappointment and affected our stay. On the positive side, the campsite’s seaside location is fantastic. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, the children’s entertainment was excellent (big thanks to the animation team!), and the pools were clean and well-maintained. In short, while the service and location were great, the misleading presentation of the accommodation (in our situation) left us disappointed. We hope future guests have a more accurate experience.

Great choice for couple days or longer stay in between Barcelona and Lloret Del Mar. Facilities all working on spot, bungalows tidy and clean. Nearby Marineland Catalunya- fantastic water park with dolphin shows. Lovely!

Nice campsite and we enjoyed our time there. The grounds were well looked after and reception staff were helpful as were the girls in the onsite supermarket. The only thing I would say if ye have no car but young kids its worth bearing in mind the campsite is a good half hour walk from the nearest town in 30° heat it can be tiring. There is a little train you can get but for the 6 of us it was a €24 round trip!!!

Horrible experience by a waitress. Despite the restaurant not being busy with two tables available to sit 8 people in total, I asked if she could provide seating for 8 people, and she mentioned that there isn’t any available. 2 minutes later, another family of 4 requested a table and they were seated by another colleague immediately. I complained and asked if she could have combined two tables together or just provided us 2 separate tables, but she arrogantly responded “where, what tables?” And I referred to the previous family how they were seated immediately, and she arrogantly responded to me that they were reserved when they clearly weren’t. Disgusting experience and behaviour from that waitress, that I can only assume to be motivated by racism. Such a shame for a high rated restaurant, there were so many ways the waitress could have handled the situation even by advising and providing us with a waiting time or reserving a table for a later time/date.

We ate the food but obviously with how we were treated it left a horrible taste in our mouths! Go to the Chinese next door they are so friendly. Unsatisfied Irish visitor! REPLY; Yes your manner is what I am talking about. You have no respect and no manners dealing with your customers. You should be ashamed of your self. I am shocked and appalled that you are the boss. Obviously you need a lesson in hospitality and clearly YOU are the problem as I have read your reviews and you seem to be the common issue. You are also not the only person who is a boss with responsibility but we don't treat people like you. It isn't an excuse!

Worst pizza i've ever eaten. Waitress was not polite at all The pizza was nothing like a pizza Seriously, it was a piece of hard dry bread with some tomato on it and two or three shrimps. Honestly I was so disapointed

We had a delightful dining experience at Decler Restaurant in Blanes. The food was exceptional, especially the delectable crispy octopus which comes highly recommended. The attentive service provided by the waiter was outstanding. Additionally, they offer breakfast on Saturdays, adding to their diverse menu options. The only downside is that reservations are not accepted, resulting in a short wait time; however, it is well worth it.
Great place in a nice well lit place ,has a wide assortment of food to choose from , everything is freshly made , portions are very decent for the price. We had several dishes from the menu and we're very full and satisfied by the end, and it ended up around 15€ each, which for the quality of service , food and place is way more than fair.

A nice little restaurant in Blanes, service is great and the food was awesome! It was a windy day outside but it was good that the restaurant has heater outside, so we didn’t feel that cold. Recommend this little gem if you are in Blanes.

The experience was quite disappointing overall. The restaurant looked quite pretty from the outside. We were sat down immediately, and we didn't have to wait long for our first drinks. We ordered the shrimps, pan de coca, wok veggies and nuts, fries, solomillo de ternera. Not long after that, they brought us a small starter on the house; a cold baked potato. It wasn't tasty, but we ate it as we didn't want to seem rude. We waited about 25 minutes for the tomato bread, fries and veggies. We ordered the food to share, but it didn't come out at the same time so it was quite hard to do that. At around the time that the food came, my partner ordered a beer, for which we waited 20 minutes. He asked for it 3 times. The food itself was mediocre at best and grossly overpriced. Everything came underseasoned. They served us 6 overcooked shrimps for the price of 12 euros, which for me was quite possibly the lowest point of the meal. I ate it as at that point we had been waiting for about 40 minutes, and I was simply hungry. The solomillo was on point, but it wasn't served on a brioche. It came on a piece of toast bread. The home made bread was good, although the tomato paste was bland. The vegetables were overcooked, covered in grease and without any seasoning (11 euros). If I lived in Blanes, I would never go back to eat there. The restaurant was understaffed, the service staff were running around, and I honestly felt quite sorry for them, as they were clearly doing their best. Saying that, the food wasn't cheap, somewhere in the mid-range, so I expected a lot more. It's simply not worth your money.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Very cosy and quite place. Much much better than many places on the beach front.

We wanted to try the migdia menu but at the end we had dinner. Expect tapas aka small portions. Tataki de tonyina was really good with Asian flavors citrus and amazing. The steak tartar was more disappointing compared to the French version. It was more a meat just cut without seasoning. This could be fantastic but it just needs some details to match their expectations

We were a group of 5, with reservation and we had the daily set menu. The decor and ambience is modern and attractive, and sets the tone for the cuisine. The food was well prepared and tasty. I had a tomato salad and then a seafood rice which were both well seasoned and generous. I chose a dessert that I wouldn’t order again, basically a Kit Kat , too sweet and not up to par with the other plates. Sadly, the service when we went was very, very poor. We were ignored most of the meal, and waited long periods without being attended. It felt like they were down a staff member or two, although the restaurant wasn’t too busy. One waiter was obviously having a bad day because he was openly rude, and unpleasant to us. I would think twice about coming here again because we weren’t made to feel welcome and there wasn’t a friendly atmosphere. Maybe it was just a bad day for the staff. We went to another place to have coffees and drinks because the vibe was really bad the day we came to Decler. The food was good and I’d like to try other things on the menu, hopefully the waitstaff will be more welcoming and attentive next time.

Mediterranean restaurant
Vadecatas is a popular restaurant in Blanes known for its outdoor seating with a view of the sea and excellent service. Unlike most restaurants in the area, Vadecatas remains open throughout the day, offering a great selection of mostly seafood dishes along with some non-seafood options. Visitors praise the generous portions, particularly highlighting the delicious paella and gazpacho. The menu may be a bit confusing for some, but friendly staff members are always ready to assist.
Very very tasty!! Gelato is exceptional! Everything we ordered was well cooked. Loved this place

Party of 3. Nice menu but we didn't fully understand it, however the lovely Ireland helped us through it. Some lovely aubergine and calamari dishes. Cod and prawn was nice. King prawns maybe not so much our scene. On the value side it was alot more than we would have expected. Again though our waitress was very nice so that softened the cost a little. Would return

The service is awful! Don't go to this restaurant if you don't want to starve to death or get some grey hair while you are waiting for the food. The food is tasty in general, but the amount is just hilarious for the price. After this restaurant you will have to go to another one to eat something more, of course, if you are patient enough to wait for your bill. Because not only do you have to tell them several times you want to pay, but they think that you can wait at least half an hour for your bill. Not a big deal after waiting for an hour for the snacks. The owner is arrogant and unprofessional and doesn't respect his guests. A disappointing experience.

That was the best food and restaurant in Blanes!

We ate paella and some starters before. Let's say the food was not bad at all and the price was correct. The only thing is that fish in the paella was really poor

Nice to sit outdoors with view upon the sea, excellent service and most restaurants here close at 16:00 and reopen at 20:00 but this restaurant is open all day, The selection of food is mostly seafood but there are some other non seafood options the amount of food given is great especially with the paella the and the gazpacho is also very delicious, This is overall a nice restaurant to visit as a tourist.

Poor customer service, very small portions, and multiple options on the menu not available. I expected much more from this restaurant after reading a lot of the reviews. I don't plan to visit again.

Great tapas and good daily menu. Good option if you don't want to go to a fish-based restaurant. Open all-year long.
