Beverley in 3 days

If you only have 3 days to spend in Beverley, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Beverley offers a classic English market town experience, centered on its stunning Gothic Beverley Minster and the smaller but equally beautiful St Mary’s Church. Cobbled streets, independent shops, and traditional pubs give the town a relaxed, historic charm, especially around Saturday Market and Wednesday Market squares. Visitors can explore the town’s heritage at the Guildhall and Treasure House, or enjoy walks on nearby Beverley Westwood, an open pasture just outside the center. Regular race meetings at Beverley Racecourse and year-round festivals add extra interest for repeat visits.
With favorites like Beverley Antiques & Collectors Centre, Parkway Cinema Beverley, and The Beverley Arms Hotel, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like The Cross Keys Wetherspoon and Carluccio's so you can get the best taste of Beverley while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Flea & Street Markets
Beverley Saturday Market is a historic and vibrant community of local traders, offering a wide range of products from fresh local produce to clothing and hardware. Located at Market Place, it features 100 unique stalls and dates back centuries, making it one of Beverley's biggest tourist attractions. The market is held in the town center on Wednesdays and Saturdays, attracting thousands of shoppers each week.
Absolutely fantastic, historical town.. Always worth a visit very popular.. Many fine dining spots, great bars and amazing race course.
Lee R — Google review
Such a shame storm Bertie was the cause of the Saturday market closing early. It was cold, wet and windy, not the best market conditions. That said Beverley has an amazing number of shops, both big name and independent which made shopping a pleasure. The Minster and St Mary's are well worth a visit, truly magnificent buildings.
Lyn S — Google review
We had never visited the area however thoroughly enjoyed our stop off at Beverley. No market today but parking spaces were available. Great shops. Best selection I've seen in a long time. Plenty of eateries and places to stay. Lots of independent shops. We would return 👍
Jacqueline M — Google review
A great open market and lots of shops. This is not connected to Flemgate carpark, but a few minutes walk from Beverley Minster. You have plenty of sitting areas. Also lots of places to eat and drink.
Alan G — Google review
Lovely open market town with interesting shops & nice places to eat. A great shame that pavements have dog urine every few feet. Please someone invent something to help this increasingly, unsanitary problem!
Katherine L — Google review
Had a run out as we popped into Hull, Beverley was a surprise, didn't think it was going to be as big as it was, the market was fantastic, lots of different stalls, great bargains to be had, even very bespoke items too

Nice little town. With its own Minster.Enough shops to entertain with its own Weatherspoons. A must go is the white horse pub ..pretty old and stills runs on gaslight! The star of Beverley is the 'Beverley Arms hotel'. Simply superb.Friendly professional staff.Superb food. A tad expensive but you get what you pay for and this was a rare treat.

Beverley was a pleasant, unexpected find. Great market and lots of independent shops plus my favourite chocolate shop, Terroir 😁

Pub
The Kings Head is a centrally located traditional English pub in Saturday Market, Beverley. It offers individually decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi and serves real ales and refined pub food. The establishment is known for its attentive and polite staff who ensure a pleasant experience for guests of all ages. Additionally, the pub hosts events such as DJs playing inside and outside, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for visitors.
Lucy told us that it was a new menu and we loved it! We spent a lovely afternoon eating, drinking, and relaxing. We had to wait a while for my starter, and as soon as the finished dish had been removed, my main course arrived. I'd have preferred a few more minutes to digest my starter. We'd love to come back and stay in one of the beautiful rooms.

Popped in on the off chance at 130 on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Got ourselves a table and quickly made our Sunday lunch order. It was not too busy. Got a pint and half a coke and the total bill was £45. Food came in good time. Five different veg (small portions but really nice) two and half decent slices of Turkey, roast potatoes, stuffing ball and a lovely Yorkshire pudding. I got some mint sauce. A few minutes in we were checked in on to ensure we were happy. Would definitely go again, thank you to all the staff who clearly work very hard.

This is a lovely friendly hotel and was a pleasure to stay there. The breakfasts were excellent and was well cooked and more than ample, the bar was well stocked and even had one of Jeremy Clarksons lagers on, and wasn't bad at all. Rooms were spotless and super comfy. Downside it's very noisy on a Saturday night to the points of being supplied with earplugs 🤗.
John B — Google review
Called in here for a drink during a Saturday visit on a gloriously sunny day. We sat in the back courtyard which was pleasant and watched the world go by. We ordered drinks via a QR code on the table but they did seem to take ages to arrive unfortunately. When the did arrive they were nice and cold. I liked the small lager glass. We did check out the inside which seemed nice and well presented. Although we didn't eat anything here lots of people were eating and the food looked good.
Tracey B — Google review
An absolute beautiful pub, clean well maintained and nicely decorated. When we walked into this pub we expected a very high quality of food and service. I just got a feeling of this looks a high standards. It was a busy pub with lots of people chatting and the atmosphere was nice and friendly. We picked a table and sat down to look at the menu. I wanted fish and chips and my other half wanted southern fried chicken burger. So knowing what we wanted I went to the bar to order the food and some drinks. I was greeted by a friendly young lady who took My order and table number. I went back to the table and we chatted over a drink waiting for our food. After about 20 minutes the food came My fish looked over cooked and tasted dry, the mushy peas again looked over done. The chunky chips were good and the tartar sauce was really nice. As I moved the fish I could see French fries mixed in with the chips. This was obviously fries from a previously cooked order as the fries looked like they had been cooked multiple times and the fryer basket not emptied fully. My meal was a real let down. My partners meal was not much better. The onion rings looked awful and were not even warm, her fries again not even warm. The southern fried gravy looked like water and again was not warm let alone hot. The chicken burger was she said ok apart from the bbq sauce over the top of the bread bun. Whilst eating we did not at any point have a member of staff check up on us or our order which I was really surprised at it literally was a case of order eat then staff just collect plates. When a member of staff did ask “have you guys finished?” There were not was the meal ok? Did you enjoy your meal? Nothing!! I informed the member of staff that the meal was not acceptable and informed him of all the issues we had. His response was simply “l’m sorry to hear that I’ll pass it onto the chef” then walked away. This is a stunning and beautiful pub in the heart of a beautiful little town and could be an absolute treasure. Sadly from my experience here today I don’t think I would want to spend my money (£45.48 I believe I paid) here. Please who ever reads this review on walking into your pub I thought was going to be amazing. Sadly your staffs service and the food has let you down.

We stayed overnight at The Kings Head and it was really lovely, the room was clean, light and spacious. We enjoyed an evening meal and also a breakfast which were both delicious. The staff were all attentive and also friendly.

Had the most amazing experience. I stayed two nights as we were getting married. Had a few girls for food the night before and I can not rave enough about the staff and food, brunch on the day of the wedding, staff could not do enough for me. I actually wish that I had had the wedding reception there. Room was amazing. Can't thank the staff enough. Big shout out to Lucy, Keirn, Kora, Ellen, Alex, Aidy and anyone that I have missed. Thank you all ❤️

Food very tasty, service generally excellent. Aidan and Kieran were hardworking, very attentive and welcoming.Nice relaxed atmosphere, clean and tidy surroundings and appropriately furnished. Would have been a 5 for service but desert was slightly delayed, although the crumble and custard was lovely. Will definitely recommend to others and will be returning soon.

Pub
Nestled in the heart of Beverley, the White Horse Inn, affectionately referred to as Nellie's by locals, is a charming pub that exudes history and warmth. With its inviting old-school interior and cozy patio, it’s an ideal spot for enjoying traditional British fare alongside a selection of well-priced ales from the renowned Sam Smith brewery.
What a pub! The ales provided are outstanding. The Bitter, Mild and Stout are a drinkers treat, prices to die for and a nostalgic step back in time. If you’re visiting Beverley and looking for a good pint of beer or cider, then make Nellie’s your first port of call. Outstanding!!
Paul H — Google review
A fabulous Sam Smiths pub also known as Nellies. Gas lighting and interiors and furniture probably over a century old. Ground floor rooms are a must to explore. The hand pulled bitter is delicious and the atmosphere and the welcome from the staff and locals was superb. Goodness me, I want to return as soon as possible 😊
John H — Google review
This pub is unique. The method of heat is a real fire, the lighting is by gaslight. No mobile phones, tablets, laptops or swearing allowed. Just good drinks, great conversation which was the original intentions of the establishment. Absolutely loved it!
Christine H — Google review
The greatest real pub (= not modernised and stripped of all its soul and beauty) left in England. Utterly breathtaking! Gas lighting, 7 open fires and wonderful ales.
David A — Google review
I thought with the pub taking card payment on devices they wouldnt mind me taking a photograph on my visit to this place i have looked forward to for years. The Samuel Smith management are nicer in Sheffield. Ssrah had been up since 6am waiting for the Dray i suppose
Robert H — Google review
Olde world experience, very dated establishment. Adds to its charm! Gas lighting and real fires in most rooms during the winter months. Good selection of fine ales. Try the extra stout!!
Rod K — Google review
This place is fantastic. Very old coach house in beverley. Atmosphere is great, lots of ghosts and ghouls in the air....
John M — Google review
OK. It's a Sam smiths so limited to own brand everything. All the usual luddite rules no mobiles laptops etc but strangely you can pay by card so it's OK when it suits mr Smith. Lots of nice rooms all done out in old decor but unfortunately you can't take any photos. Had to sneak one of my beer which at least shows off the type of rooms in the pub. Much better pubs in Beverley

Figaro is a bustling Italian restaurant located in Beverley town center, known for its warm welcome, great service, and delicious Italian cuisine. It's a popular choice for family outings and special occasions, with accommodating staff who are great with children. The restaurant offers a reduced price menu early in the evening and has plenty of room to accommodate larger parties, including those with babies. Customers praise the professional and courteous waitstaff as well as the extensive and reasonably priced Italian menu.
We went on Saturday evening. The food was beautiful, well cooked and piping hot. Service was excellent all the staff were very friendly. The place was very clean and the atmosphere was lovely. We will be going back. The steaks were cooked to perfection.

My family and I have been going to Figaro since it opened and even when it was La Scala back in the day. You really cannot fault the staff or food they are fantastic. There are some foods I have never tasted better anywhere else, their steaks, prawns, tomato garlic breads and since last night, their tiramisu. Their pornstar martinis and liquor coffees are also top tier!! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed! Booking in again in a few days time for my Birthday, because they’re just too good! :)

This was our 2nd visit to figaros and it did not dissapoint the food is delicious & nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff the menu is great with a lot of different dishes to suit everyone’s tastes, the beef stroganoff was so tasty, we all had different dishes all cooked to perfection, followed by gorgeous cocktails, even though they closed at 9.30 the staff didn’t rush us when we left at 10.15, will definitely be back, it a true gem of a place.

I would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff at Figuro in Beverley. The food was fabulous, the service was excellent. The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was very relaxing. The background music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and others was very easy listening. We would most definitely recommend this excellent restaurant and the very professional staff. Thank you.

Figaro Restaurant is a place you will definitely want to come back with a great atmosphere, delicious food and relevant staff. I recommend it! I had a really enjoyable experience at Figaro Restaurant today. Pollo alla crema, which I especially prefer, was far above my expectations with its flavour and consistency. The sauce was just right, and the chicken was soft and quite delicious. The atmosphere of the place was quite warm and clean, and the employees were friendly and caring. It was very satisfying in terms of both food and service. I recommend Figaro with peace of mind, I can't wait to come back!

Gorgeous food!! Not been for around 2 years and enjoyed the food so much we had the full 3 courses ! Was busy inside but well tended to by professional and courteous waiters ( so very lacking in some eating establishments). Highly recommended...some of the best Italian food in Beverley....even though it lacks the glossy veneer of Lucias...the food is what counts most !

Ordered pasta with seafood. They had clearly used a bag of frozen pasta. For the price I expected better. Staff very friendly though, but not enough for us to consider going back unless we hear they’ve upped their game considerably.

Visited on Wednesday for an early lunch and really enjoyed it. Easily my favourite in East Yorkshire so far. Multiple rooms, well presented and festive. You can choose your room to eat in based upon taste, ranging from quaint at the front, to modern by the bar. We were sat by the fire in armchairs, and it was good to keep placing logs on the fire. Really pleased with the service and the food was decent too. Had the 'Chicken, Stuffing, Bacon + Cranberry Panini' together with a 'Big Cheese Pizza'. Would certainly recommend a visit for an early lunch, as it wasn't too busy.

Regular breakfast with a side of black pudding, coffee, and a Godiva real ale for £7. Pleasant bar service with a little wait for the food. Breakfast wasn't too bad, although the beans weren't warm. Very clean interior and small beer garden.
Paul B — Google review
I think we must have visited them in the aftermath of, what looked like, an extremely busy night! Lots of tables left uncleared and the place looked messy. It was pizza night but they had run out of pizza! The alternative food we ordered was nice though. Would visit again to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Carmen G — Google review
We all had vegetarian pasta lunch, it was very tasty. Only fault was we had to ask to have our dirty table cleaned, and had to ask for the lunch time menus. The staff member eventually found one (there were four of us!), and when he gave it me he said, sorry it's sticky but we're very low on menus. In the end I myself went on the hunt to various tables to find more, unfortunately they were all sticky and very well worn. So minus two stars - dirty tables and menus (if you can find one).
R W — Google review
I've been to Loads of Spoons up and down the country and can say that in my opinion this one hits the bottom. You don't expect top quality food served immaculately when you visit a Spoons. You do however expect good wholesome food at a more than reasonable price. Myself and wife went to this one about lunch before the breakfast menu finished. We ordered breakfast wraps and a small full English. The food came with the cutlery and one serviette. Come on Mr Spoons just what is your serviette policy? I understand the reason for having a policy as it stops serviettes abuse where people just grab handfuls of the things. Is it one serviette per table or do you expect us to share with other tables. The cutlery was disgusting, smears everywhere and actual bits of food left hanging, yuk. Luckily we carried emergency wooden cutlery with us. The wraps were just ordinary not warm but no real problem, so we thought. The fry up was less than wholesome, cold overcooked, greasy, dry and rubbish. The sausage was reasonable however but still cold. Later that day my wife who had the wraps became very ill. Of course I am not accusing Spoons of poisening my wife. It will take some before I go in another Spoons but probably will as you can get decent grub at more than decent prices normally. However I will not go to this one ever again.
Keith B — Google review
Might of been a one off day,the tables where dirty the pictures were dusty but anyways the food took a while to come out when it did we had really cold chips one slice of ham and a rubber egg that was all not worth the price felt like a toddlers meal, chicken meal was full but again really cold. Got a pudding well you couldn't cut brake into the caramel slice the ice cream was melted on top so was like cold water, the sticky toffee pudding was OK but again the ice cream had melted before been served to us. My sister ordered the pan cakes and they bought it with chuckny instead of maple syrup 🙃 they took it back n replaced it for a larger portion but even the pancakes where rubbery not enjoyable the staff didn't seem to care not a good experience 😑

The focaccia is so good that many guests recommend taking some home for sandwiches! Beautiful Italian food, Husband had seabass which was cooked to perfection. I had fungi risotto good portion , very tasty. We both had chocolate bread & butter pudding with ice cream, great coffee too Service was excellent 👌. Many 😊

Went in to see if they allowed dogs. You can have dogs on the left of the restaurant and 2 big tables. We where met by super friendly staff who made us feel very welcomed. The bloke making the coffee made a effort to say hi to every customer that came in. We ordered our breakfast and it was full of flavour and freshly cooked. The tomatoes where amazing. The service was excellent and couldn't fault it.

We were in a bit of a rush and our waiter made sure that we got our food super quickly. Everything was delicious. The aubergine parmigiana on the festive menus was the highlight

It’s a nice, spacious restaurant in the centre of Beverley. The food was nice though the ravioli could’ve been seasoned more (nothing a bit of salt and pepper can’t solve though) and the olives were a bit disappointing (supposedly mixed but whole bowl had one black olive!). Pasta Giardiniera was lovely and so was the arancini. The service was a bit slow at times but overall a good experience and will be coming back to try other dishes.

Carbonara was delicious, depite the fact the menu does not mention they use cream, but a check with the kitchen confirms they do use 'a dash'. One massive plus is they use proper guanciale, not bacon. Lovely and peppery. Would come back just for this dish. Attentive service.

The lunch menu offers a variety of delicious options at a reasonable price, including pork belly, chicken satay, sushi, and mochi ice cream for dessert. Overall, the restaurant provides an exceptional dining experience with beautiful surroundings and friendly service.
We visited during January while the 50% off deal was available. This allowed us to try many of the dishes and we even returned the following week because the food was just that good! Dishes were served as soon as they were ready meaning everything was fresh and piping hot. The restaurant itself was very aesthetic and cosy. Service was great thanks to the very friendly staff. Highly recommend the rock shrimp and pork belly!

We eat here regularly and we had an amazing lunch today. It is one of the top 5 places to eat in Beverley. The food is outstanding, very fresh ingredients, and deliciously flavour combinations. Genuinely we could recommend every dish. The lunchtime deal is brilliant and includes a house cocktail of choice or a glass of house wine. The staff are friendly and efficient, today we were served by Caitlin and Ethan and both were lovely. To everyone at Roku Beverley, keep up the excellent work! AMAZING FOOD!

When we first walked in, there was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We opted for the taster menu, which had lots of different meals on it and we wasn't disappointed... Each dish presented its own unique flavors, and together it was divine. The staff, including Neave who was our waitress were chatty and friendly, and the overall experience was amazing... Definitely will be going again.

We had the most amazing experience at Roku in Beverley today. From the moment we arrived, Phoebe made us feel incredibly welcome — she was so friendly, attentive, and took the time to explain the menu in such a helpful and enthusiastic way. Her knowledge and passion for the food really added to the experience and made choosing our dishes even more exciting. The food itself was absolutely outstanding — every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The drinks were just as impressive, carefully crafted and delicious. You can tell that real care and attention goes into everything they do at Roku. A huge thank you to Phoebe and the team for making our visit so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

I came to this restaurant for the first time after seeing high reviews and pictures of the food looking lovely, and I am very pleased with my decision to visit. Although I did struggle to find the entrance (probably just me being stupid🤣), once inside to vibe is amazing, with the whole restaurant floor looking inviting, comfortable, and designer. The food was also served with this eye for detailing, really looking delicious and inviting and tasting as good as it looked. The service was also lovely and although there were only two members of staff on, they were able to manage us very well and looked after us whilst we ate our meal.

From squid katsu to yellowfin tuna sushi rolls, salmon sashimi, wagyu beef, and North Yorkshire pork loin, the menu boasts an array of delectable options.
Great authentic Japanese food paired with really good service and really nice atmosphere. Front of house is good, and make you feel well welcomed since you enter. Attention to detail is very high and -above all- food is simply delicious!!! All, with prices that are very reasonable. This is a restaurant where you go times and times again and every time surprises you!

Beautiful food top class and delicious. We will return with tips as the service was second to none. Edit-Went back again because of how great the food and service is. Alot of food establishments in Beverly are mediocre at best but Ogino is second to none!

Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Their thorough knowledge of the menu was very helpful too. Got a bee's knee's cocktail which was delicious. The chefs platter for 3 people had 5 different bits to choose from and each individual part was very tasty as a starter. I got a main of seabass and it tasted as good as it looked. The tofu doughnuts were amazing and must be tried!! Would highly recommend a visit!

The location is strange for such a gem (just a simple door leading to a staircase, it feels like a block of flats at first), but I suppose if it works for them why not 🤷‍♀️ The décor is tasteful and unique. The food was amazing. The sushi was great though oddly I would've liked more avocado as they are so generous with the salmon that it almost takes over the whole flavour, more balance would be great. I still really enjoyed it though! My main was absolutely fantastic, the steak was cooked well and it was wonderfully tender and the sauce and veggies went with it very well. My partner also really liked his duck which comes smoked under a dome, makes for a great presentation. Plus the smoky flavour was very much there. I preferred my steak but the duck was still quite nice. My dessert wasn't great, but still good and well presented. My partner loved his chocolate dessert.

Our first visit to Ogino Japanese restaurant in Beverley was great experience. Although ‘going out’ and dining indoors remains rather strange under the current Covid restrictions, the Ogino team made us feel very welcome. Ogino restaurant is a modern take on Japanese food and has a superb menu selection that I’m sure without doubt has something for everyone. The food is beautifully prepared and is packed with an explosion of flavours. An equally good drinks menu is available that matches the quality of the food. Our waiter and staff in general was very good although at times the service was a little slow. For example, it took me to ask 3 different waiters for the drinks menu before I finally got one. All in all, Ogino is well worth a visit. I’d recommend that you go and spend an evening in this modern and sufficiently stylish restaurant that should leave you wanting to return. One word of warning….. Book well ahead as this place is very popular.
John G — Google review
We were staying in the area and we both love this kind of cuisine so had to give this place a try and I’m really glad we did. Fantastic Japanese food and as some reviews mention it is a little pricey but the quality justifies it. We both chose off the set menu which was really good value for money, a starter, a main, glass of wine or bottle of beer, a couple more drinks each and additional place of sushi each and it came to less than £70. The items on the set menu were fantastic, not like some set menus where there’s a lack of choice. The service was attentive and by staff who clearly were knowledgable. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and we would definitely go again.

This was our first restaurant meal since Covid so that's back in March 2020 when we last ate out. We booked this a couple of months back and have been eagerly awaiting the date. We were very happy with the Covid safety measures. As soon as we walked through the door there was a hand sanitising station and another when we got to the top of the stairs/reception desk. The lady who greeted us checked to make sure we had sanitised our hands, she took a temperature reading and our contact details. We were then shown to our table which was socially distanced from the other tables. Once seated we could remove our face masks. The waitering staff wore masks at all times. The friendly and polite staff were very attentive and we could quickly gain their attention when needed. The food was delicious and we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Really great place, lovely staff, excellent dining experience. Not too sure the small bowl of noodles was worth the actual cost, but for the rest of the meals I was really impressed 🤤 If you get chance to go and just enjoy the great food and experience, give it a go 👍

For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Beverley Westwood, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to East Riding Theatre. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Beverley Westwood is a stunning expanse of open parkland located on the western edge of Beverley, offering breathtaking views of the town. This picturesque area is perfect for families looking to enjoy a day outdoors, with its lush meadows and serene woods providing an ideal backdrop for leisurely strolls or picnics. In the summer, you might even spot grazing cattle adding to the pastoral charm.
Area of outstanding beauty. Woodland and hills, pasture areas it feels magical also spiritual. Feel a sense of being haunted with whispering trees and deep depths of the woods. Amazing nature

Parking is very tricky. There are free roaming cows who are not shy. It is a great big space, ideal place for exercising your dog. Not much else going on other than the Black Mill.

We had a lovely walk with our dog, seats are available to rest on and take in the views. Also the was an extremely nice street vendor selling very tasty burgers and excellent coffee for after our walk. The area is peaceful and dog friendly, plenty of open space for young humans to run around too.

The Beverley Westwood has everything you could wish for and is a great local asset. It constantly changes with the seasons so always lots to see: the bluebells, the cows, Burton Bushes (ancient woodland), the Black Mill… Great for dog walking, picnics (no barbecues please) and sledging in winter. There’s a golf course over a substantial area and the Beverley Racecourse down one side. It’s also used for various other activities including Nordic Pole Walking and the ParkRun-the Grammar School even uses it for Cross Country.

an excellent venue for both racing and events. The atmosphere on race days is lively and well organized, with great facilities and friendly staff who make everything run smoothly. I’ve also attended their Bavarian Party and other themed events, which were full of fun, music, and great energy. The venue manages to balance the excitement of horse racing with the enjoyment of social events perfectly. It’s a clean, welcoming place with plenty of space, good food, and a great crowd. Always a pleasure to visit, whether for racing or a special occasion.

Wonderful, historic racecourse with good facilities and lovely staff. Notices should be added to the grandstand to prevent groups from "saving" unoccupied seats for friends and family. Racegoers might have paid for a "Premier" ticket but they haven't paid for their own seat.

I couldn't agree more with reviewer S F ....... Fantastic course with very impressive staff, however, the management should not allow people to 'save' seats for other people. It's unfair on the customers that get there earlier to enjoy the meeting.

Pub
Nestled in the heart of Beverley, Chequers Micropub stands out as a delightful haven for beer enthusiasts. This charming establishment is one of Yorkshire's first micropubs and boasts an impressive selection of local and regional cask ales, along with six keg lines featuring everything from IPAs to Belgian fruit beers. Despite its cozy size, Chequers offers two levels and a lovely outdoor area perfect for sipping drinks under the sun during warmer months.
The Micro pub is absolutely brilliant, great atmosphere, great beers and very friendly people. The range of beers was simply stunning and on tip top form but everyone appeared to be drinking Imperial Stouts, brilliant, as the age range was from 20s to early 70s. This is a must go to pub and definitely gets the rare gold medal of excellence 🥉

First time discovering this spot in Beverly. Had a very local/regulars vibe and it definitely is micro! Popular spot, can’t book ahead so you have to chance it. The only place I found in the area for proper “craft” beers. The menu changed twice when we were there as the barrels are rotated every time they ran out. It’s also super dog friendly.

East Riding Theatre, located in a former Victorian Baptist church, was transformed into a vibrant performing arts venue through extensive volunteer efforts. The theatre is committed to offering diverse and high-quality entertainment including theatre productions, music performances, and comedy shows.
An amazing army of volunteers keeps this lovely venue going, so that it is able to host all manner of events including music, poetry, plays and comedy shows. It’s tucked away from the main shopping area but easy to find near the Law Courts and Library. There is an on-site carpark at weekends and, I believe, weekday evenings and there is also a bar. It’s a venue used by various local festivals including Stage4Beverley and the Folk Festival so there’s also something interesting to experience. It also hosts one of the local WI groups. Most of the performances are in the Auditorium but the Cafe Bar is also used as a smaller, more intimate setting.

Came here for the Beverly big comedy night, great theatre. Just the right size for a comedy gig, good view from all seating positions. Stage is quite large. there is a nice little bar waiting area. Lovely well kept building. Love everything about it, only negative thing is it could do with air-con as it was absolutely roasting hot on the night (Maybe its not possible to add this due to it being grade II listed). Glad I brought a little electric fan. It was built as a Baptist chapel in 1910 and converted into a theatre in 2014. Highly recommend this venue. I look forward to attending again at another comedy evening.

Greek restaurant
During a delightful exploration of Beverley town center, I stumbled upon Greko Beverley, a charming café that celebrates all things cycling. This hidden gem quickly became my go-to spot for lunch, and I found myself returning not once but twice in just as many days! The menu is a feast for the senses; I savored their halloumi fries—truly some of the best I've ever tasted—alongside perfectly cooked pork and chicken skewers served with an irresistible dipping sauce.
Absolutely love this! The food is so delicious. I love the tapas style dishes. It's so hard to choose, they all go so well together. And the skewers are all so tasty and perfectly cooked. I've ordered moussaka in the past and it's the best I've ever tasted. Friendly staff, sublime food and a lovely restaurant. Definitely recommend!
Anjixx A — Google review
Nice place, good food, amazing desserts. The prawn saganaki and the halloumi fritters are definitely good, but they do come with a large dose of fat to digest. This can be an issue, if not sharing, and/or plan to take a main after this, and eventually a dessert (like we did). Even the grilled meat (beef and chicken) was rather oily. The desserts were absolutely amazing. Otherwise, I would rate this place more stars.
Stefano C — Google review
We had a lovely meal last weekend. A popular place so booking recommended. Menu isn’t extensive & we’ve gone through 2/3rds of it during our 4 visits but the food quality is very good. The staff are really attentive and create a nice atmosphere. It has a good reputation in the town between locals.
Stephen C — Google review
Had some really excellent food here, though the small plates tend to be the size of big plates in London...so be careful not to over-order! The Greek salad was particularly impressive, I love how they just lobbed a block of feta on top, the tomatoes were really fresh too. Also the fried courgette was superb, as was the chicken souvlaki - so much flavour. We'll be back.
James W — Google review
Really enjoyed the food here. It's so good we went back twice for lunch in as many days. We shared the Halloumi fries, which are excellent full of flavour and presented beautifully. The pork and chicken skewers were perfectly cooked and flavoursome and come with a delicious dipping sauce. With a couple of pittas, it made for an excellent lunch. A complete repeat the next day with an added dish to share of the Baklava, which was sticky and yummy. Friendly service, seating both in and outside. Cold Mythos. Loved it. Thank you.
Melissa R — Google review
All of the staff were very helpful and navigated the menu with us suggesting how much to order for 6 people. The bread and accompanying dips were a great way to start and set the bar high for what was to follow. The food comes out as it is prepared and is designed to be shared with the table, which makes for an enjoyable dining experience. Every dish we ordered was a success with everyone, everything was fresh and full of flavour. I didn't manage to get photos of everything we ordered as we were too busy enjoying the food! This is definitely somewhere we will return to and somewhere to recommend to others!
Hollie D — Google review
Proper Greek food. Delicious and well priced. This restaurant was busy on a Tuesday night and for good reason. The atmosphere was great as was the service. No wonder it's so popular. If you like Greek food, go here but you must prebook to ensure a table.

Stumbled upon Greko during our stroll down Beverley and did not regret it at all! Worth the money. The food and the portion truly matches the price. The Westwood Restaurant is a stylish British dining spot located in a Georgian courthouse, managed by a sibling duo. The restaurant sources its ingredients locally, reflecting the flavors of Yorkshire. Housed in an 18th-century coaching inn with historic charm, it offers hearty home-cooked meals and delightful sharing plates. Situated near the picturesque Westwood pastureland, visitors can enjoy stunning views and observe racehorses training while savoring modern British cuisine at this renowned East Yorkshire establishment.
we came here for my girlfriends 20th birthday and it was lovely, the food was amazing and the staff were exceptional, a lovely atmosphere and the outside seating area was a nice touch, would definitely recommend,
Phillip — Google review
The Westwood Restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint. As we walked into the restaurant, we passed the kitchen, which was immaculate. Although several chefs were working their stations, there was not a crumb to be found aside from the individual dishes being prepared. The aroma was slight but enticing. The wait staff was quick, friendly, and engaging. The menu was well appointed but not overly ambitious, as are some creative eateries. There were just enough options to meet the desires of most consumers. I chose the seared scallops as an appetizer and the sea bass for the entrée. My dining partner had the sadleback and soup of the day. We also chose a selection of vegetables for the table. The scallops were perfect. They had a crisp sear with a slight savory tilt. The balance was fork tender with no hint of chewyness or bite. The appetizer was well proportioned and left me only looking forward to the meal yet to come. The sea bass also bore a crisp sear with a buttery and savory edge. The meat was most to a near creaminess. There was no hint of the gamey or fishy flavors or aromas that can be found with sea bass at times. The tenderness of the fish and the light touch of the chef shined. If one could do it better, I would be surprised. Between the starter and main dish, I found myself comfortably filled but not stuffed. Sadly, I was filled to the point of not desiring a desert. The options looked amazing. If you find yourself in Beverly, UK, I would suggest trying to get a table. This meal made the trip worthwhile.

From the moment you are greeted and shown to the bar upstairs you know you are going to have a great evening. After ordering we were shown to our table in a light relaxed area downstairs. Our starters were delicious and our steak main courses extremely tasty. I had the Wagyu bavette which was so tasty. We finished with a shared sweet and coffee. I can’t wait to return; we’ve left it much too long since our last visit. Five Stars !

Absolutely wonderful evening from the moment we stepped trough the door. Warm greeting, upstairs to the bar for drinks, menus then food orders, had a nice chat with the host about local gin. Taken down to the restaurant, lovely table setting with tables nicely spaced out, very professional but friendly service with just the right amount of time between courses. There was a warm relaxed atmosphere, busy but not overpowering. The main reason we were there of course was for the food which was excellent, well prepared and presented, and, very very tasty! Overall, a fabulous, faultless evening. This is how restaurants should be!

Originally built around the tomb of John, Bishop of York, this Anglican church has been a significant religious site since Anglo-Saxon times. The Minster is renowned for its impressive collection of musician stone carvings and the ancient Percy Tomb, showcasing exquisite medieval artistry. Beyond its historical significance, Beverley offers visitors a delightful array of attractions.
A stunning piece of heritage and fab example of gothic architecture. I can’t believe I’ve never been in before. A particular point which piqued my interest was the organ! Not enormous, but very glamorous to look at the pipes. Very friendly community welcoming you in and eager to show you around. There was a bake sale on when I visited too 😋

Great selection of beers. Lovely old building with nice outdoor area. Excellent place for live music

Oldest pub in Beverley still going strong. Doesn't rely on food like so many. Has live music. Lots of music. Spent an evening there watching a couple of great artists. Loved seeing funk music in a really old original interior. A bit off the beaten track opposite the Minster, well worth a visit.

We only discovered this pub a few weeks ago on a night out in Beverley. No idea how we didn't know about it before - it seems to be very well known. Great atmosphere at any time of day. Often a few musicians in there just jammin'. Also lots of love bands. When there are no musos or bands then the music playlist is always great.

I enjoyed a good value, tasty, unpretentious Sunday lunch on my previous visit to The Sun Inn a few months ago. It was made even better for the cool Django vibes of Martyn and Dave, a.k.a. Damarmi. They played at a sensible volume, allowing customers to either converse without raising voices or just listen & enjoy. My visit on this most recent occasion was a Saturday night. It was last stop after a binge around the bars of Beverley with former workmates. Entertainment was from a decent 4 piece covers band. The beer was good, the atmosphere both lively and friendly. The Sun is simply a great music pub!

Sunday Lunch .. Me and a group of friends have just enjoyed our first Sunday lunch at the sun ..we had the small plate which was ample size and very tasty..proper beef and lovely rich gravy. Very reasonably priced and good quality..warm welcoming staff and a lovely relaxing lunch with live music 🎶 would definitely recommend and we all will be returning 😀

Movie theater
Parkway Cinema Beverley is a modern cinema located in the bustling town center of Beverley. The venue, which opened in 2015, offers a clean and well-presented environment with friendly staff. It features comfortable seating, including designated spaces for wheelchairs within the rows. The cinema also has a bar and seating area where moviegoers can purchase an array of snacks and drinks.
Lovely cinema with friendly staff. Comfortable seats and clean.
Paul W — Google review
Comparing this to cinemas 'generally', it's a good one. Always clean and tidy. Toilets are always clean. The bar is well stocked although not a wide selection of drinks. The offers and standard prices of tickets for the wide range of events held here, are competitive. The staff are always very pleasant and polite, although, rarely enough of them to provide other than a 'good enough' service level. (Not their fault). That's a relatively bland review for us, but that's the expereince we had. It wasn't great, nowhere near bad ... but beige. If we had a choice to get a nice bottle of wine, some decent snacks and a movie at home, the customer experience of our visit here, wouldn't be enough to entice us out to it. And that's probably why it was, again, so very quiet. If the owners got together with external experts it could all change, or maybe what we thought was 'very quiet' is more than enough to enable their business to be considered successful in their view. For us, it's beige and we're better to make our own cinema expereince at home. A pity, but we believe this is an objective review.

Went here to watch Speed as they were showing the classic film once again. Absolutely loved it, not been to this cinema previously. It’s on the upper floor but there is also a lift if required; parking we used one in town but the multi-storey is probably your best bet. The whole place was clean, tidy and well presented, the staff were pleasant and welcoming. There is a bar and seating area, as usual you can buy all the sweets, chocolates and drinks you can imagine…..you might have to take out a mortgage to afford them though! The cinema itself is well laid out with all the screens numbered along one corridor with toilets well signed along this corridor. Wi-Fi is available if required, we booked the premier seating which gave us more leg room; this was a smart move! Based on this experience I will certainly be back in future!
Peter78 — Google review
Nice local cinema, which is well-kept and comfortable. Also does good deals for seniors which include a good discount and a cuppa. Parking locally is also easy and reasonably priced. I am sure we’ll be back.
Arthur H — Google review
Generally love this cinema and go there regularly but please stop letting people enter 15 mins into the film! Just watched Downton Abbey and lots of people were still arriving 15 mins into film, disturbing everyone by putting their phone torches on and making full rows stand up to let them get to seats. First part of film was ruined for everyone else. If they can't arrive on time, sorry but entry should be refused!
Helen P — Google review
Senior Screen going up in price all the time. Coffee at Senior Screen needs to be stronger and hotter and the biscuits improved on as when it first started when all was good. It is going downhill! On the positive side, it's a lovely and comfortable place to go.
Juno — Google review
Opened in 2015 but still looks brand new. Situated in Beverley town centre which is buzzing Saturday night. Cinema is a stones throw from Beverley Minster and right next to East Riding College with a good selection of shops, eateries and a multi-storey car park nearby which costs only £2. We booked tickets online for extra £1.90 booking fee. Saw Asteroid City. If anyone would like to explain the movie to me, I would appreciate it. Through main double doors (entrance next to Tomahawk Steakhouse), ticket machines on ground floor but if you've already booked online, take the stairs or elevator to the cinema foyer (first floor). Large queuing area for snacks/drinks etc and seating area further along. Pleasant and helpful staff. Cinema only has 6 screens with the sixth that can be transformed into a stage for live theatre productions! Seats do not recline but very comfortable. Really enjoyed our visit.

Nestled in the charming town of Beverley, the Beverley Antiques & Collectors Centre is a treasure trove waiting to be explored. This captivating establishment, located on Butcher Row, features an intricate maze of rooms and corridors brimming with unique collectibles and antiques from various eras. Each corner reveals delightful surprises that will enchant any history enthusiast or collector. As you wander through this fascinating space, you'll discover everything from vintage trinkets to rare antiquities sourced from around the globe.
A great treasure trove of a place that is like a rabbit warren inside with different rooms to explore all its Antiques and Collectibles.

I have not had a good experience. The staff was not friendly and rushed me whilst I was checking some items, felt uncomfortable! I've been to a few other antique shops, and I usually treat myself with a few nice pieces of vintage jewelleries, and because of how I was treated, I've only bought 1 pair of earrings. I will never drive an hour again to visit this place.

Very clean and organized, helpful service and a lot to see! Great selection of jewelry (both fine and costume), medals and artifacts from both World Wars, and much more.

Woman with mid brown hair middle aged sat on her phone, asked to see a some jewellery and she sighed (shop closed in 20min). She made belittling comments to my mum. She laughed in my face, basically laughed at my mum in my face, we were not confrontational to her at all and she continued being extremely rude. She made me feel really very uncomfortable. I’ve never had such a negative experience in a shop before it was shocking.

Cafe located at the back is a hidden gem with seating inside and a sweet garden that would be lovely on warmer days. Menu has some nice options and well priced. The rest of the centre needs longer to look round has it is a warren of rooms with a variety of collectibles, this is on my do do list next time in town.

Was here a few weeks ago, but came back today to buy a poster. Sadly, the item in question had been sold, but Kate very graciously remembered me. A very kind person. A long journey back now to York. The moral here is, if you see something you like, buy it there and then! Kate, thanx for your courtesy. David J. Pike. x

St Mary's Church in Beverley is a historic gem with a rich architectural history. Built as a sister to Beverley Minster, it underwent continuous construction from 1120 to 1530, resulting in a unique blend of styles that earned it Grade listed status. The church boasts stunning features such as the 14th-century north aisle and the sublime late-14th century west front.
A nice, friendly and warm church. Although overshadowed by the Minster it is less formal and probably earlier. The miserychords are interesting in that they appear to be of the Ripon school. The ceiling above is lovely too. Very well worth a visit.

Another lovely church in Beverley. Well worth a look for the art displays that they often have on and the ceiling of the church is an artwork in itself! The outside of the building is also beautiful although there appear to be a lot of restoration works going on at the moment so I'm not sure when it's open and when it isn't. There's also a little play room with toys and books in the crypt for any younger visitors! The hall next to the church also hosts a fantastic play group (Allsorts) on a Friday morning from 9:30 am

If you're in Beverly for the Minster you should also visit this smaller but very beautiful gothic style church. I liked the wooden misericords

Lovely church with well informed welcomers. One of very few churches that are growing in numbers, with 4 Sunday services to cater for all worship types, plus a mid-week, spoken service every Thursday.

Beautiful church, built in the 1200s. It's still in service and from the outside you can tell it has quite a story. Took over 400 years to build, and the beauty of it's architecture is like no other. They offer a map of the place and tourist guides as well, and all the people at the church were very friendly and open to conversation!

Tomahawk Steakhouse Beverley is a delightful dining destination that offers an array of culinary experiences, perfect for any occasion. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this steakhouse stands out with its exceptional menu featuring dishes like chicken shawarma and perfectly cooked salmon fillet. Guests rave about the fixed-price three-course menu, which provides great value despite having limited options. The atmosphere is inviting and cool, making it an ideal spot to escape the heat on sunny days.
I stumbled upon this place and decided to pop in to celebrate my 2-year anniversary with my girlfriend, and it was spot on! The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The staff made sure we felt welcome and checked in on us, which really enhanced our dining experience. I can't wait to come back and enjoy another meal here!

Decided to treat ourselves to the wagyu sharing platter and it was INCREDIBLE! Never had a meal like it and I’ve eaten at steak restaurants in many countries. Staff are warm and welcoming. Love the atmosphere and decor inside. Also great that it was nice and cool inside on a hot sunny day.

During our recent visit, we were very disappointed with the service. Despite booking, we were told there would be a 45-minute wait for food as they had 2 very large groups in which is not really customers problem and should have sought more staff when taking the bookings, Drinks arrived promptly, but it took 30 minutes before anyone came to take our food order, and the food then took an hour to arrive. Staff were generally unpleasant, did not check on us after serving, and we had to seek them out for further drinks. Overall, after spending £200, we expected a much higher standard of service.

The food was beautiful but Dont expect quality service. I have just left the restaurant after telling the one of many managers how rubbish the service was. We watched all the employees at the bar. Between 10 to 4 at the bar just stood there We waited and waited, we never got asked if we would like any more drinks or how was our meal was. I had to go to the bar to pay for my meal, which I was going to be charged a service charge. I did make my comments made to the manager who just agreed and said sorry and walked off. Lovely food but don't expect service as you will be waiting and ignored.

We visited Tomahawk Beverley recently and unfortunately had a disappointing experience from start to finish. When we arrived, a member of staff led us to our table without really acknowledging us or making us feel welcome. We quickly noticed the 2-for-£15 cocktails and ordered margaritas as we were celebrating. Sadly, they were weak, had no salt around the rim, and were really underwhelming definitely not worth the price. Meanwhile, service was slow; after ordering our drinks, it took around 20 minutes before anyone came back, which was particularly difficult as we had our two-year-old daughter with us. We specifically asked for her kids’ meal to be brought out quickly, but it still only arrived 30 minutes later which was a long wait in a nearly empty restaurant. By then, she was very unsettled, and she had finished eating long before our meals came. I even asked if we could have the dessert that came with set menu meal (ice cream) served early for her, but the staff didn’t seem very accommodating. They even served it in a glass for a 2 year old when I made it clear it was for a child and they came back with a bowl after saying "that's just how it comes". Throughout the visit, nobody checked in with us, asked how the food was, or gave any updates about the delays. When it came to paying, they overcharged us by quite a margin due to mistakes on the bill. To make matters worse, as we left, there was no thank you or acknowledgment. Overall, the food itself was fine, but the service was poor, the cocktails were disappointing, and the whole experience left us frustrated. Sadly, we wouldn’t return.

I’m pretty sure we got someone else meal. We ordered a sharing plate which came with chunky chips not the fries we wanted, the peppercorn sauce not the butter sauce we wanted and two of the steaks came rare not well done. unfortunately I didn’t notice the other two steaks until half way through and therefore too late to complain. The tip is already on the bill which is high but the young staff are welcoming so I didn’t want to not pay them but I’m wondering do they even get it or does it go straight to the company? Overall quite disappointing for the price.

Service was fast and efficient. The steaks was fantastic. It's expensive, but I went away satisfied and will definitely return
Danny S — Google review
We came here for the fixed price three course menu, and absolutely loved it. It was 17:15 on a Friday during the school holidays (to give you an idea of how busy it was). The service was great, the food was great, the fixed price menu didn't have a huge amount to pick from, but then it was fixed price...I have read several of these low star reviews and can't see where it's coming from. Our experience, and what we could see of others, was all good. The lady who served us was friendly and attentive. Our starters, mains and desserts came out in good time. It was all super delicious. The toilets at this place are also incredible. Just like the ones in York...they're amazing. Lovely and clean with functioning doors that actually lock, a door from the floor to the ceiling, a proper flush and plenty of loo roll. We absolutely will be going back again. I highly recommend going here to anyone who enjoys delicious steak! The only thing I would say is that it can get very expensive very quickly, even with the fixed priced menu it was over £80 for us two!!!

Usually use Pollys tea rooms but they were closed. Nice small but spacious little cafe with friendly staff. Had mega breakfast £12.50. 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 egg, beans mushrooms, tomatoes, hash brown and black pudding, toast. Pot of tea included. Bacon was nice and lean but sausages were not nice at all, left 1 of them. Everything else was OK but nothing to write home about. Felt it was not really good value due to quality of some items especially the back pudding and sausage. Would I return or recommend...No , especially if Pollys Tea rooms are open it is a Far superior breakfast with better quality Ingredients there. Imho.

Absolutely legendary place. Possibly the least pretentious café across entire Beverley - true, classic, genuine family atmosphere; great value for money; everything appears home made and always fresh. Their scones are unbeatable and alone well-worth my 20-minute walk to this place. And the quiche! Oh my god!

Non-existent service. Called in for lunch on a Sunday but ended up walking out and going elsewhere. Very quiet (only two other tables occupied), but staff made no attempt to serve us - or even acknowledge us. There were two staff visible in the back, one came out into the main cafe area, put a reserved sign on a table, started clearing a table and then proceeded to serve a couple who had just walked in! Needless to say we won’t be visiting again.

We went both as a couple for drinks one day and as a group for 4 with a wheelchair for a special meal and it was FANTASTIC! The menu was SO exciting for a pub menu, incredibly creative and innovative with beautiful dishes it was genuinely hard to pick one! We went with a seasonal special of the carrot gnocchi which is made in-house, the wellington (specifically incredible) and the venison which was also beautiful! Also special mention to those onion rings, they were fantastic! The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly! Special mention to Jade, Eva, Eve and Olly (hope I got those right) they really made our experience even better! Extremely accessable with a wide front entrance and easy accomodation moving chairs!

In a word ... Excellent. Rarely, have I given a review as high as this. Great to have a local person answering the phone and taking our reservation... Also Great to have a proper reception with real people offering genuine Yorkshire hospitality. From the first moment on arriving, it was obvious most of the staff were local people and how this makes a difference. All staff seemed to be relaxed, happy and extremely helpful, also if I may say a blend of ages also helps as all too young or all too old just doesn't seem to be working, there was a sensible no of staff !! Restaurant staff also excellent especially Holly who was "on it " nothing too much trouble for her and her capacity for remembering detail was amazing. Something your organisation is doing here needs to be shared because you have a winning formula. Already mentioned the brilliant Holly, but all staff were extremely helpful. I think local people really helps. Holly was excellent But all staff were smart, available, courteous, friendly and fun! We will be back! So please don't change."

Recommend👍 Disclaimer: This review doesn't include food items as I haven't had it yet. This is a great place to socialise, have a drink, and play pool, darts, etc and watch the latest game. It has a nice industrial, almost "salvaged" aesthetic look to it which makes it memorable and unique. The staff are friendly and there is enough seating for more customers then they normally get. Pool games are £1 per play.

We came to firepit for lunch and a catch up with friends. Great venue and atmosphere for watching sport. I ordered a cheese burger, it must of been the smallest burger patty I’ve ever seen. It wouldn’t even feed a child. I complained and was not offered a refund as I was told it was within “spec” told them to bin it. Not the waitress fault but must be embarrassing to serve this.

Awful service. Dirty menus. Grim seating. Came in on a quiet Wednesday night. Ordered through the app, waited about 20 minutes for our order and it still didn’t arrive so we asked and they said yeah we just forgot. On the order was some onion rings which they didn’t have in stock. We only found that they were not in stock after we questioned where they were?? Manager did not offer to issue a refund just brought over some chips instead. Also when bringing over the other meals to the table, he was asking every other table if our food was theirs? We ordered on the app where you have to put the table number on! Finally when we had gotten all our food I asked for some cutlery and napkins, surprise, he didn’t bring them over. Can understand if it was busy but there was about 15 people in the whole place. The food that did come was so over priced for what it was. £10 for nachos that’s all completely store bought shite. A cheese burger with about 6 chips. Most of their beer selection was sold out too. Overall really shoddy, would definitely only recommend having a beer in here at most.

*The tables were not clean. *When ordering at the bar the bar man was told what change I needed by his colleague and was told the correct amount, no problem with someone needing help however I was short changed as it wasn't counted correctly (I was given the rest after mentioning it). *After our food arrived I noticed that it wasn't the Cajun chicken burger I paid for, there was no seasoning on the chicken at all, not what I had ordered and no one came to ask how our food was, we had been waiting a long time for the food so pretty hungry I decided to carry on eating but I wanted to make them aware of the error so when a member of staff (Adam) walked past I said I just want to let you know that the cheff hasn't made the burger I ordered, they haven't put Cajun seasoning on the chicken, he said 'thank you' and walked away. (Your welcome 🙈) That was that. I always say something at the time so it can be resolved however in this case I was ignored. The burger was small and glad I bought an extra side of fries because combine with the fries that came with my meal it almost made up a portion, it wasn't worth the price and it would have been nice to get what I ordered. I just want to add there were only a few customers sitting outside with drinks when I walked past Sunday lunchtime, a lot of other places were full bursting with customers, it's a shame because the food used to be nice when we went a few years ago.

Me, my wife and mother in law called in here for some lunch whilst shopping in Beverley. Decent parking in the multi storey nearby makes access easy. A good amount of outdoor seating is available should you prefer to sit out watching the world go by. We chose to sit inside, the establishment is massive with a darts board, several pool tables and plenty of massive screens to show the sports. There are some comfy seats and sofas dotted around in strategic locations. It wasn’t too busy when we called in as a result service was fast and efficient. I did try to use the app to order from my table but it wouldn’t work; I had to go to the bar to submit my order. Not an issue, I just wanted to test the app really, it failed. Wi-Fi is available should the need arise. The staff were friendly and helpful, aesthetically the place gives off a great mood I imagine it’s pretty wild on a weekend! I ordered the Cajun chicken salad with garlic ciabatta which was a good portion size and very tasty. The mother in law ordered the Cajun chicken burger with extra patty, it was huge! The food was very good quality the only slight moan we had was the ‘crispy bacon’ served with the Cajun chicken burger wasn’t crispy, it was a little anaemic! The menu is good with a decent selection, they also do cocktails as well as a host of other specialist drinks. Based on this experience I would have no hesitations in coming back. Recommend!

I'm American visiting with English family near here and we came in super late to get some food. Even though they were almost closed, they made us food very quickly. I had been to a few places around the area and was disappointed in the food and wasn't expecting anything great. But this place actually serves very tasty food, on par with some of the bar food you get in America. I was so happy! This place deserves more customers, so please come give it a try. And if you're curious about what southern american Chick-fil-A sauce tastes like, mix together the condiments they provide: the mayo, BBQ sauce, and malt vinegar. This is exactly what Chick-fil-A sauce tastes like and it's amazing on the fried chicken burger, halloumi burger, or fries.
