Lighthouse Calella is a significant symbol of the town, situated on a cliff top with a rich history dating back to defensive tower days. The lighthouse offers interactive maritime exhibits and stunning views, especially at sunset. Visitors can explore the area for free or take a paid tour inside the lighthouse. It's accessible by foot from Calella, offering picturesque coastal views along the way.
Lovely view, museum was open but the lighthouse was closee, wasn't able to go up to the top.

We didn’t pay to enter the museum. We wandered around the exterior. Very nice views and good exercise walking to the lighthouse.

Not too bad a walk up there. Place was closed as we knew. Nice views across calella although through or over a fence
Chris — Google review
Free entrance, you only have to pay if you want on top of the lighthouse. We were there in the evening and had an amazing view of Calella and the beach. It’s just dangerous to walk up there beach you have to cross a dangerous street. All in all it was nice just a little small.
Maja — Google review
A very beautiful spot to enjoy sunset, and a great view on the city. Not the most user-friendly route to get there, though, but still worth it.

(Translated by Google) The cry Located in Calella de Mar. The Maresme of Barcelona. A local legend from the first half of the 20th century. XX talks about the Llopa de Calella. This true story begins when a peasant from the town, Francesc Coll, known as Quico from the Urrel·li house, tells one afternoon in the town tavern that he has seen a wolf wandering through his lands. Alarmed, the inhabitants of Calella decided to organize a raid to capture him and be able to live in peace. Once the beast was dead, and when the whole town was talking about it, a very distraught woman who lived in a hamlet between Sant Pol and Calella appeared. He was looking for his German shepherd dog who had recently been lost. The feared wolf turned out to be Mrs. Montaner's dog who had been killed for her appearance and the ignorance of the people. This is how this dog became part of the legend and history of Calella. (Original) La llopa.

The Neska Polita Vinoteca, a Basque cuisine eatery, boasts attractive and spacious premises. The staff is friendly, while the owner is affable and dedicated. The menu features delectable dishes such as the cod omelette, esqueixada, mussels, stuffed squid, and octopus. The service is exceptional and highly recommended for a visit. Prices may be slightly steep for the portion sizes but experiencing this restaurant at least twice is advised to form an unbiased judgment.
Amazing food, highly recommend an octopus. Staff is very helpfull and charming, one of the reason why I have visited this place 4 times during my stay.
Artūras K — Google review
I was very upset by the owner’s response to my husband’s comment. If the kitchen closes at 3:00 PM, then why does Google and the sign on your door state opening hours as 1:00–5:00 PM? In that case, what exactly does your establishment operate as between 3:00 and 5:00? Just a terrace where guests get scolded for sitting down? Perhaps the kitchen hours are mentioned somewhere in fine print, but like my husband, I was certain that you were open until 5:00 PM, based on the information on Google and on your door. If that’s not the case, then you should correct the information so as not to mislead your guests. We spent several minutes looking through the menu by the entrance, yet no one approached us. The terrace was not blocked off. I don’t think sitting at an open, unblocked table can be considered rude. At least in other places we have never experienced such a hostile reaction. It’s unfortunate that you assume any guest arriving after the kitchen closes expects your staff to work overtime. I noticed other reviews describing similar situations. As customers, we cannot be expected to know your internal rules and schedules—it would be enough to explain it politely and update the posted information. Also, if you believe sitting at a table when the kitchen is closed is inappropriate, then you should close the terrace instead of blaming your guests. Sadly, your rudeness spoiled our mood and experience. Upd.: unfortunately, the owner’s reply contains personal attacks, xenophobic remarks, and unnecessary comments about “education,” which only highlights the customer service style of this establishment. Dear Irene, sitting down at a terrace table does not provoke aggression in my country, in any other country I have visited, nor in the neighboring restaurants around you. I sincerely wish you the same level of service on your vacation as the one you showed us. All the best.
Anastasiya K — Google review
We are from the USA and met some people across the street that recommended we have dinner at this restaurant. It was perfect. Everything was more than delicious, the atmosphere, the food, the service… The owner really is passionate about what she is doing and she is doing it. Well! She made sure we had an experience that we would not forget and we are grateful.

Sarowar K — Google review
On the door of the restaurant the plate with working hours is 11:00-17:00. We came at 15:00 and were literally shown the door in a very rude manner by the waitress on 20.08.25. This is the service you gonna get there I guess. Upd. I don't speak Spanish but based on what I see in a translated version of the owner's reply, they say we were rude enough to enter the restaurant during the WORKING HOURS. Well, I'll tell you how it was. I and my wife came up to the front door, saw that restaurant is open until 17:00 and were about to get seated at the table. (That's probably considered rude, huh?) Irritated waitress or owner or whoever it was ran out of the restaurant, without greeting, asking "how may I help?" I asked if the restaurant was working. She answered "yes, I am working here" pretending she doesn't understand what I am asking about (like what? I didn't ask whether you work here or not) I rephrased whether the restaurant was open, she answered "kitchen is closed and will open at 20:00" and left. No goodbyes no nothing. We thanked her and left. And now they are telling we were rude. Listen, if your restaurant is closed you should make it explicit for visitors and not put plates that it's open until 17:00. Even if there is a misunderstanding you can always explain normally and with respect but you don't seem to know what respectful attitude is. Adios.

Uruguayan restaurant
I recently had an exceptional experience at Luna Gaucha, an Uruguayan restaurant. The service was outstanding and the red wine was exquisite. I opted for lamb ribs but regretted not choosing steak, as the ribs lacked sufficient meat. However, the waiter kindly offered a variety of delectable desserts to make up for it. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and I would definitely visit again in the future.
Wonderful evening at this fabulous restaurant, delicious food & the best service, very attentive & also hilarious. Very reasonable prices, €30 per person for 2 courses with drinks & sides of bread/olives & shots to finish. Highly recommend 👌

Very nice! We had a lovely dinner. We arrived pretty late around 9:30 but we could still eat (I don’t advise getting there so late) but we did feel a bit rushed but the staff was still super nice and helpful so it’s all good!

We were with a big group and first they wanted to place us close to the street. It was very windy and we didn't liked that, so the manager or boss of this place came and gave us another place to sit which was very nice. Food was good. Sadly I didn't made any pictures, only of the very nice cheese cake which was AMAZING! I would recommend taking that, but it's a highly dessert so it's possible it's not there anymore haha.

What an incredible dining experience! Luna Gaucha offers an authentic and flavorful journey through Uruguayan cuisine, and every dish we tried was outstanding. We started with the Ensalada Nimo, which was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced – a refreshing way to begin the meal. The parrillada was the star of the show. Filled with beautifully grilled meats, full of smoky flavor and cooked to perfection. Every bite was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. To finish, we shared the tarta de dulce de leche, and it was nothing short of heavenly. Rich, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. The atmosphere at Luna Gaucha is warm and welcoming, with a unique and thoughtfully designed décor that reflects both tradition and personality. It’s a family-run restaurant, and you can feel the love in every detail. The owner is extremely kind and humble, and it’s clear he puts his heart and soul into every aspect of the experience. His passion for sharing Uruguayan culture and cuisine truly shines through. Highly recommend!!!

One doesn't need to wait until the end of their vacation to indulge in this culinary delight; it's a place that will make you want to return for more.
Old establishment, I keep coming here for 30 years. Food stills very delicious and the service is good, I got to eat raos fish event i think it was as a bit early on the season it was very tasty. Fuet was a bit too dry, all the rest was very nice. Service was also good, definitely coming back whenever I am in town again.

We visited here as our first meal of the Holliday. While it wasn’t bad, there are definitely other places that I would recommend more. It started off very well with a lovely jug of sangria sat outside in the sun and the staff were all very lovely and inviting. We then had fried calamari which were nice, however I had one full of sand which completely put me off and chicken croquettes which were much better. They had a beautiful flavour and were crispy on the outside. We then ordered Patatas Bravas, Beef Ribs and Whitebait. The Bravas were lovely and crispy, however, due to my partner feeling ill (nothing to do with our restaurant experience) the Whitebait was not tried. I did however try the beef ribs, something I have never had before. While the flavour was lovely and the portion size was good, I did find them very chewy and not very pleasant. This being said I have never tried beef ribs before so maybe this is how they are supposed to be. As I say we may have just not had the best experience as every time we walk past it always seems very busy with both locals and tourists.

Dined here on our first day visiting Calella. Not the most friendly service I've ever had. The food was ok to be fair. Came back a second time and we just sat there with our invisible man suits on for ages. The waiters couldn't be bothered to come over so we left and went down the road to another restaurant and was served straight away.

I have nothing but praise for EL HOGAR GALLEGO, a seafood restaurant that I am delighted to have discovered. The cuisine is incredibly fresh and delicious, with an impressive variety of dishes on offer. The service is exceptional, as the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend trying their delectable oysters, anchovies, octopus, seafood soup, monkfish stew (main), and monkfish fillet (main).
I always like its authentic interior design and their friendly service. There is a spectacular seafood refrigerator and an aquarium for lobsters. They are actually quite entertaining. Today, we had octopus and cured ham as starters. It was the best octopus I had and the ham was excellent. Such umami ! Their pan tomate was done with coca bread which makes different. Their house wine was good. The rice meal was very tasty. As all its seafood was already peeled off in advance, it was so easy to eat. Galician style cake, cheese and quince jam were also satisfying. It’s the place where we can come back again and again. No disappointment.

Service was phenomenal. As tourists, we found this place through online search and references in the Michelin guide. We have never experienced seafood life this. It’s fresh, as they roll out the market catch on a cart. Some truly unique experience. It’s a traditional experience as the cooking is done in the kitchen but they plate and display on a cart next to your table. They spoke English which is impressive when discussing the detailed differences between the seafood and the cooking methods. Further, the price is reasonable. Would come here again! Would recommend trying to book / reserve a table via WhatsApp.

We had such an outstanding experience here that we ended up dining here two nights in a row. The seafood was unbelievably fresh and prepared with such care and expertise that every dish truly stood out. The pink prawn carpaccio was delicate and flavorful, the wild turbot was cooked to perfection, and the steak tartare prepared table-side was a real highlight. Service matched the food — our waiter Andrew was exceptionally knowledgeable, especially when it came to recommending local wines that paired beautifully with each course. The whole experience felt thoughtful, authentic, and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy Galician cuisine at its best!

I couldn't speak more highly of this restaurant and I'm so glad we found it. The food here is so fresh, so tasty. The service was excellent and they made a real effort with us. We ate quite a lot here and I recommend all of the following items: oysters, anchovies, octopus, seafood soup, monkfish stew (main) and the monkfish fillet (main). I saw a lot of the other dishes that other customers are and it all looked great. We had a Monsant wine here also which really complimented the food. This restaurant is an absolute must if you are in the region. Couldn't speak higher of the quality of the food and service. Recommended.
J D — Google review
This place is a gem … thankfully off the tourist track as it is rather high-end and Michelin watched. It is the best seafood place you can find in that region. And we agree. You need to book well ahead as the few tables are snitched fast by predominantly locals and Spanish guests. The superb classic service comes with white table linen, immaculate spice by the table, best-in-Class fish service and meets just the best produce you find. We had a great selection - on the house olives and minced Pulpo, followed by couple of glades cava, the famous Polpo a la Gallega - so soft and fresh never seen before. The Pulperia in Barcelona is already great but this was from heaven …. We then had Tuna Tartare, monkfish grilled and fried calamari to end with a great almond cake and liquor …. Expect for that around 130€ and the need to book a table in advance. They are closed Sunday evening and Monday.

The best octopus and swordfish we've ever eaten! The service was outstanding! Thank you!😍

The personel took time to explain to us the history of the resto, recommendations, show us 3 beautiful fish ( don’t hesitate to ask the price to compare to the menu ) . We finally order the st pierre , the cuisine was not “whao” but the quality of the ingredients were there. The cava wines with the foods were all excellent choices. They respond to all our questions and demands beautifully. Thank u a lot to the waiter we ‘ve had (who usually the sommelier, mr Andreas) !

(Translated by Google) I loved returning to this store, after several years, and seeing that its essence has not changed. I am a big fan of their nuts and flours in bulk, especially the roasted ones, of better quality and at better prices than in supermarkets, although it is hard to believe. They also offer a wide variety of spices, legumes, cereals, pastas... also mostly in bulk, a great option as it allows you to avoid unnecessary plastic waste and buy the right amount of food and thus avoid waste. I will continue to be a regular customer.

The Refugi antiaeri del Parc Dalmau is a museum located in Calella, showcasing an air-raid shelter and tunnel complex from the Spanish civil war era. Despite its small size, it offers informative picture boards and audiovisual displays that provide insight into the history of Calella during this turbulent time. The admission fee is affordable at only one euro, making it a worthwhile visit for both locals and tourists alike. English descriptions are available on interesting boards throughout the museum.
Spanish civil war era bomb shelter. Well laid out, informative picture boards and a/v display. Well worth the one euro admission, half price for pensioners. Just round the corner from the tourist information.

Tucked away as a hidden gem in a playground at Delmau Parc is this wonderful local landmark filled with sobering history and thoughts of days-passed. Definitely recommend! It's only €1 a ticket and it is a wonderful way to respectfully learn some local history.

Interesting place (I'd you like these sorts of attractions) it's quite small, so it's only a 30 min visit, but as it is only a euro entrance I didn't expect much more. It's basically an air raid shelter for Calella when the Spanish civil war was going on.

Mamma Mia Calella is a fantastic pizza place with delicious Calzone and great service. While the wait to eat outside may be long, it is worth it as the inside can get uncomfortably hot. The Spinacci Calzone and red house wine make for a perfect combination, even for non-alcohol drinkers. The staff is friendly and engaging when given the opportunity to chat.
Wow. The Pizza was perfect. A True 10 out of 10. Perfect crust, perfect toppings, perfect! My son wanted to eat here for his Birthday, and they even put a small candle on his dessert and sang for him. We love, Mamma Mia!
EJ B — Google review
The place doesnt look as appealing on the outside but the inside is quite beautiful, we didn't wait long and pizzas were great, they were quite oily. If everyone is set on eating pizza great, otherwise there is not too many other options.
Zala G — Google review
My boyfriend and our son visited twice during our trip to Calella. The food was lovely, there are choices for little ones my 4 year old got the breaded chicken (like nuggets) he ate them all! Which is unusual. The service was fantastic, our lovely lady waitress went above and beyond. Really welcoming and friendly.
Alex H — Google review
Location is next to the church. We ate outside and there was a lot of foot traffic in front of us. If you like people watching it’s a great location. The pizzas were good thin crust pizzas. The service was friendly and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time given that the restaurant was full. I will defiantly go back.
David T — Google review
Waited over 1 hour for 2 pizzas to arrive, when they eventually turned up I would only describe them as being average, I've definitely had better freshly prepared ones in the past, they were overly greasy and lacked flavour. Also I was told that there was no indoor seating only to see preference being given to Spanish customers walking in off the street and it was clear that they had not pre-booked any tables. The toilet is not kept clean and there were no hand towels to dry your hands. Overall a poor experience, try elsewhere.
Stephen H — Google review
Best sangria ever and best pizza outside of Italy. Highly recommended!
Aga A — Google review
Had high hopes but was let down, first time tried to eat here we sat down and were ignored for 25 mins so got up and left, was not busy at this time. 2nd time we only tried it again because the place we were heading was closed. Slightly better service this time but still very slow and rude, slamming items on table, like they didn't want us there. Got to say people on other tables who could speak Spanish certainly got better service.

Argentinian restaurant
During my visit to Calella, I discovered Restaurante Macanudo based on positive online reviews. Situated away from the main pedestrian street, it is advisable to book a table in advance for dinner. The restaurant boasts a serene outdoor garden where one can find tranquility. The cuisine is delectable, particularly their high-quality beef and delightful wine selection. The staff provided professional service and offered helpful recommendations.
Really good Not the cheapest but at the same time nothing around is really cheap either and the food was super good, so I definitely recommend it 👍 Service was great (speedy, and warm/welcoming) Place looked really chill, loved the vibe If you're hungry you'll have to include starters and desserts, but for me that made the dinner all the more enjoyable (got to taste different things) Thanks for the treat!

The food was really nice and the portions were adequate. The meat was especially delicious and cooked perfectly. I do wish the salsa portions were a bit more generous, as it would have added even more to the experience. The desserts were also very enjoyable and a great way to finish the meal. Performing arts theater
Teatre de l'Orfeó Calellenc is an iconic theater located on the bustling Calle Esglesia in Calella. It's a small and inviting venue that holds traditional performances like the annual Pastorets show. The interior exudes a classic charm, with young and friendly staff welcoming visitors to witness the magic of live plays. Despite its old-world appearance, the theater's renovation adds a unique allure to its ambiance.

(Translated by Google) The place is warm. Old renovated theater. We are welcomed by young, friendly people. Inside, classic room of old theatrical fashion. The play plays out in front of me and there, the magic happens. How full of energy these young and old people are. What beautiful vivacities. The songs reflect real research and pass like a river in full flood. I salute the rigor of the staging, the quality of the songs and the dynamism of the actors. Bravo and thank you for this moment of great intensity. What can we say about the social message and tolerance other than well done again. Run out there and live real life. Reestrena, a second hand store, offers a wide range of antiques and original items. The only downside is the narrow corridors, which require caution when navigating the abundance of merchandise. However, the owner is known for being courteous and helpful. The attentive staff possesses extensive knowledge about their products and ensures that customers find what they are looking for at reasonable prices. Reestrena provides an opportunity to explore various types of antiquities while discovering unique treasures at affordable rates.

What a great little museum. If you like museums with links to the locality you will like it. It is also so cheap. There are some really fabulous interactive TV screens with great information including recipes from around the world, ingredients and how to make them. That is just one thing, there are several. It's a one hour thing unless you want to do everything like the TV screens in detail. Of course if you're a bit dismissive of little museums then you might not like it.

After I ordered drinks, the waiter started cleaning the table next to me, wiping the crumbs in my direction. We sat there for half an hour and the waiter never asked if we wanted to order food.... he also came to check every 2 minutes if we were still siting there and when my kids asked for the key the answer was " the toilet is only for clients ". Maybe its because i'm black 😕. I'm never coming back to this place.

Good prices, good standard food. [Some months later, it continues to be one of my favourite places in Calella; I especially go for "orxata" (milky sweet juice from a root) and "tallat" [in Catalan] = small latte. Yesterday evening, I manage to find something for my gluten-free, 90% percent vegetarian diet: gluten'free bteaf sandwich with slices of salmon, lettuce, tomato and goat cheese (it was brie cheese offered, but they are so kind and nice, they replaced it with goat cheese; and they also served me a "personalized coffee") So, great place (and wonderful sinful desserts I crave for and cannot have, but not recommended for vegetarians. Thank you, Dos40!!!

Barbecue restaurant
La Llar de Foc in Calella is highly recommended for its delicious grilled meat, which is incredibly tender and flavorful. The restaurant also serves a unique and tasty toasted bread with garlic and tomato that is rarely seen elsewhere. It is advisable to make a reservation at this popular establishment. Visitors can expect great food and a pleasant dining experience.
First of i just want mention that we were welcomed, and got a table fast and easy, although we didn’t have a booked table. We ordered 2 paella’s and they tasted amazing, and the guy that served us was very kind and welcoming, + he spoke English. Which is not a must, but it made it all easier. The place is also very cozy/ and has a good atmosphere. As well as the furnishing’s. I would really recommend this place.

More traditional restaurant. Food prepared over the open central charcoal grill. Calçots with romesco were a great starter enjoyed by all. I had the mixed grill as a main course which at €15 is sensational value for more meat than I could possibly eat all cooked to a perfect medium rare. Menu del dia also available and also great value.

Good ambiance. Kind service. Extremely overpriced for what you get (fish). Lacking communication. Fish and bread did taste good but not worth going there. They try to charge you for extra things - we ordered bread and anchovies for 1 person, they brought 2. They offered water and brought a bottle, we were fine with tap water, they tried to convince us to still get the water but we really didn’t ask for it. We left the restaurant hungry.
