We were there in August and the weather was pleasant. There is an open cable car with room for six people, it leaves every half hour. When you get to the top with the cable car, there is the option of doing an experiential walking trail for children called the Fox Trail. There is a restaurant from where the cable car leaves, both below and above.

Well organized and reasonably priced. Limited for beginners but great for the intermediate crowd. A thriving town nearby (5 minute walk) for accommodation and apres ski activities. Considered the top ski resort in the Czech Republic expect crowds at the lift lines during holiday periods.

Nice place in the heart of Czechia. Driving to the location is not easy - it take a long time due the Czech streets are not the best sometimes and of course it’s in the middle of nowhere. It’s a tourist spot you roughly see residents. The town snd villages around only have 1000 citizens. The people are nice and they are prepared to serve tourists. In summer it’s a good place for hiking and enjoying the nature. You can hike the hills around use the cable car to go on the top of the mountains and much more. Nature is good and breath taking. I can imagine that during winter seasons it’s crowed and full with people. It’s a common skiing spot. Hotel prices are upper end - especially in the winter seasons.

Lots of places to visit in the summer some nice walking trails ranging from 13k upto 33k. Don't forget to stop off for goulash and a beer

Very nice ski resort, lovely to go on a hike in the summer, overall a very nice place to go to. The prices are nowhere near what Austria charges. For people who love skiing it is a very good place. Honorable mention to people who love hiking for which it is also a very good place.

Nice ski resort - even during the summer. Absolutely beautiful countryside. Very well maintained mountain pathways with informative signposts about the area and fun activities for the kids jotted along the way. Good public transport around the resort and up the mountains. Good parking within the resort (paid).

The best place for ski in Czechia. I know this place since 1997 and I was there nearly every year. Nice modern resort which is developing every year. They upgrading slopes, lift and all shops bars, generally all infrastructure every year. Town is very nice and cosy. Lots to do there no matter winter or summer. Highly recommend this place

A nice attraction in the area for children and not only. Children enjoyed it very much. Paid parking. One round takes about five minutes. There is an adventure park nearby.

Great and compared to other similar rides very long and worth the money

The slides are really fun, there are even 2 small tunnels that go through them. And the track is relatively long compared to other slides we've been on. It's possible for an adult to sit together with a child up to 140 cm tall on the slide. It's possible to control the speed with a stick.

The Elbe Dam provides a quick visit point with stunning vistas from several angles. Sadly, when we visited the pathway down the dam was closed but still the bridge and side path views were very pleasant. The parking here is free.

A very impressive point of interest in the area. A dam structure with interesting architecture. The view of the river is simply perfect, relaxing and mesmerizing. There are many attractions in the area such as Omega, cycling trails and more. Free parking on site!

Elbe Dam was built between 1910 and 1914 mainly to protect from floods. It is the highest level of the system of water works on the Elbe. It captures the majority of snow water in the central part of the Krkonoše Mountains . A small hydroelectric power station has been operating in the dam since 1994. Dam is 41.5 m high, 153,5 m long, 55 m width. Water reservoir - 40 ha area, 1. 2 km length. Water seems to be rather very clean. It is a wonderful hiking area, around 3,5 km from the center of the Spindleruv Mlyn. Views are absolutely beautiful. Be careful when crossing the main road. There is not much pavement with cars speeding up. Parking close to the dam is small but free.

A nice piece of nature. A quite, clean river, near the river (lake even, the water flow is extremely slow), there are many picnic spots. The dam has a great view point, and parking was free and accessible. There is a nice zip line activity for children near the bridge. Would definitely recommend to come there with some food and sit near the water on the soft grass.

There was no water in the Dam so it’s ended up like a regular walk. Since we went there on a public holiday there were no shops too. If you are visiting by car there’s a probability that car parking might be full.

Amazing view of the dam. The water is green and full of carp they splash around when you walk across the bridge. On the other side of the dam there is a zipline and abseiling guy. Carparking is easy directly off the road

Good for chill walk around the water reservoir. You have even opportunity to use slide to the other side for reasonable price.

Amazonu place for hiking, spend some time, wont regret!

The national park covers a beautiful mountain range with varied protected ecosystems. Well marked hiking trails, lots of woods, meadows, and valleys. Hiking to and across the mountain tops is worth the views.

What to say, an amazing place if you like hiking. You can see so many beautiful places within one day but your legs will be tired. I can absolutely recommend it. If you are a city person, you should plan a shorter trek

For us, it was a 4 hours trip to get there, to see some big rocks on each other with nice view. The view was the best part, rest was nothing special.

Great boulder, very great and majestic. If you know what you are doing or you are crazy or both, you can climb on top of it and enjoy slightly better views. The rock is very good quality, very sturdy, don't bang your head at it!

We are here for the 2nd time during our short 4day ski trip and we would definitely come back again next time because the atmosphere is cozy, the food is delicious, beer is tasty and the service is nice. We ate carpaccio, potato chips, prawns, beef steak and lamb chops (not in one sitting of course!) and everything was delightful! Highly recommended!

Food is not the best. Pizza below average, like some supermarket frozen pizza, salty gnocchi. Chicken wings were good. Place is nice and clean with lovely staff.

Wonderful! We went for lunch after a hike and enjoyed this place very much. Sitting outside was very pleasant and everything was clean and well-presented. My wife had the Dorada fish (Gilt-head bream) which was amazing, cooked in salted butter on a bed of vegetables. I had a classic burger with fries and a few Pilsners...because why not? The service was great and the waiter was impressed that we could speak a little Czesky... je to takové jaké to je ;) I really enjoyed the fact that as soon as your glass is empty, it will magically be refilled again in mere seconds. Great stuff! Later in the evening we ordered two pizzas for take out, which, much like lunch, was very tasty. I would certainly visit again and would recommend to anyone.

Yesterday me and my family were in the mood for pizza and found this wonderful spot. It was so good we came back today. We loved teh homemade lemonades (raspberry and strawberry). All the pizzas we got was splendid (La Scala, Salame, etc.). We also tried the fried potato with cream sauce and blue cheese sauce and they were delicious and served hot!!! Wait time might be a little long but it is worth it for the delicious food. Our waiter was a wonderful man who the made the experience all that much more pleasant!

The live music was a great addition to the tasty burgers and diverse selection of homemade lemonades. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

The owner/manger invited us after we had no good experience at other Restaurant… He was very busy but satisfied our needs. Great selection of international and Italian Cuisine as well a good selection of Italian wine. Ambience was great… The waiters could not cope properly with the full restaurant, he forgot firstly to bring the wine, then the second order of water and the pizza of our kids…. Anyhow… this restaurant is fine and in the end they manage it even with an apology… we will come next time back.

The place looks nice, more on the fancy side. I went there off the season, but it was still visited by people. The prices are on the higher end, but they have a decent variation of food and drinks. The staff don't really put a price on customer service. The cocktails had (way) too much ice, etc Everything considering, i feel like 3 stars is the best way to sum it up

„Lebeda – A Culinary Gem of Špindlerův Mlýn” We had dinner at Lebeda Restaurant in Špindlerův Mlýn, and it was an absolute culinary delight – we’ll definitely be back! From the very first dishes, it was clear that everything is made from top-quality ingredients, fresh, fragrant, and handled with real care. We started with Rabbit brawn with marinated shallots, bread horseradish and pumpkin oil – a surprisingly refined combination of flavors. The rabbit meat was lean, slightly spicy with a gentle sweetness, while the pumpkin-seed oil added a touch of richness. We could taste an intriguing, unfamiliar spice note in the finish. The texture was beautifully delicate, not dense or heavy. Next came Marinated beef Entrecote lightly cold smoked with rosemary oil, tomato tartare, sheep’s cheese – pure perfection. The beef was of the highest quality, thinly sliced, tender, with a subtle smoky note. The sheep cheese was rich yet not greasy, and the tomato salad with rosemary oil added a fresh contrast – though, in my opinion, just a bit too much oil. For the main course, we had the Fallow deer steak from back with baked vegetables, potato purée and demi-glace sauce, cooked rare. The waiter even thanked us for that choice – and he was right. It was one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. The meat literally melted in the mouth, incredibly tender and juicy – even the best beef steak can’t compare. Perfect texture, exceptional flavor, velvety mashed potatoes and perfectly seasoned vegetables – a flawless dish. We also tried Potato dumplings stuffed with smoked pork meat, served with stewed caramel cabbage and fried onion. The dough was soft and delicate, the filling lightly crisped and aromatic. The caramelized cabbage was phenomenal – a side dish that could easily steal the show. For dessert, we had Plum sauce ravioli served with butter, cottage cheese cream and grated chocolate and Strawberry dumplings with butter, grated cottage cheese and strawberry sauce. The plum ravioli were distinctly sweet – one of us absolutely loved them, while for the other they were a bit too sweet. The strawberry dumplings, however, were a total hit – light, soft, perfectly sweet, with the cottage cheese adding the perfect touch. As a lovely surprise, we were offered a glass of Slivovitz – a very nice and thoughtful gesture to finish the meal. It’s absolutely worth driving a bit out of the center – at Lebeda, they cook with heart, passion, and deep respect for every ingredient. Outstanding experience – we’ll definitely be back!

Our favourite dinner place in town. What should have been a full family Valentine’s dinner turned into a dad-daughter meal, which the staff made into a special occasion, being friendly and attentive. We managed to get a table on the balcony, enjoying the view and ambience. The dishes were delicious and substantial, but we managed dessert by skipping starters.

We have visited restaurant Lebeda twice during our stay. It is located in a cozy building close to the centre, up on a hill, among the trees. Cozy and warm inside. Service very professional and kind, young waiter went an extra mile! We enjoyed the wine and every dish we tasted. Both soups from the menu were delicious. Great steak, beetroot carpaccio, rostbef and amazing deserts! I truly recommend this place!

We ordered duck pate with liver, Rabbit brawn with marinated shallots, Potato dumplings stuffed with smoked pork, Baked gnocchi with spinach, Marinated roasted pork belly and one bottle of Gala Sauvignon Hermes. All food was very delicious (Potato dumplings stuffed with smoked pork and Rabbit brawn with marinated shallots was the best) and the wine was very good with food.

It is a nice place. They really make the best "kyselo" (local special soup made from sourdough starter) I've ever had in the pub. Main course I had pork belly with cabbage. Very decent ;). I was deeply satisfied. Maybe one thing. They have big wine list, but only one type of beer. I'd like to have some IPA or sour ale to pair it with these fine meals. Maybe next time ;)

The best resturant I visited during my trip in Czech Republic. The service is extetmly good, with English menu and english talking staff. The food was serving fast and the the taste is amazing, everything from first dishes all the way to desert. Extremely recommended. Even the coffee is great 😁

We had a hot dog, yummy. The staff doesn't speak much English, but they'll get along. The interior is dark and cold as the mountains. We'll definitely come again :-)

I visit Spindleruv twice a year and about 4-5 years ago, I used to go here with my family every other day. They had really good vegetarian burgers, but now they don't cater to vegetarians, which is a real bummer.

Took forever to serve the food and low service level. We ordered food in the busy lunch break and they said we would have to wait 30 min. So we wait and after 45 minutes ask how come it’s not ready yet, when we see other people who ordered after us, getting their food. The waiter looked puzzled and checked with the kitchen and said 5 min would pass. Another 10 minutes and still no food. Another check with the waiter and finally some food arrived. No excuse for the late food or the obvious fact that they had forgotten about our order. At least they could have offered something extra for the wait, but just looking in the ground. Bad service. Will never go there again

My wallet dissapeared as soon as I left the table. Visiting the place with three children, keep the eyes around you. The cameras was suprisingly off as I called the police and they tried to help me to find my belongigs. Be careful!

orange actually is a very nice however quite expensive restaurant. The interior is modern, staff proffessional and friendy. The food is good or very good. We had starters, steaks, pasta, clams then followed by deserts. Would I come back? Probably yes.

One of the best restaurant is the resort. Cozy and excellently balanced interior. Peking duck was not like usual Peking duck at all, but was well cooked. Also try beet humus and orange glazed mackerel. Only salads should have more interesting dressing with more tastes. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner!

While initially skeptical of the price, the attraction turned out to be a fair bit more than just going up a wooden tower. There's a little walk which contains a fun few little challenges. The walk features a lot of little facts and information throughout, with the base of the tower acting as a mini museum about soil and tree biodiversity and whatnot. The gift shop was actually quite alright, better than the conventional one at least. The slide is sold separately from the entry, but it isn't too much. A fun little thing, definitely if with family.

It was a great experience, the more fun part is they also have netted cage where you get in and enjoy, felt like kid again. The ramp is not so step so easy to access with stroller as well. Pros: - Stroller and wheelchair can be taken up easily. - Lot of fun and play items along the way. - Amazing view point. May be during snowfall would be even beautiful. Cons: - no washroom inside you’ve to come out and exit.

Beautiful and very unique place!! There is short trial that guides you through with some educational facts in how they build it. The tower is VERY impressive and has a trampoline and a long slide in it. The restaurant and the playground is super cute as well!

I love the Timber trail - went with a friend and it was very scenic and enjoyable. A good value for money, and not too many people around, despite it being the height of summer.

Very good place to be. Over all it is very clean and nice, it was mostly empty (probably because it's July). I recommend buying tickets in advance as it is quite a bit cheaper rather than in place.

Generally, ski pass is not the cheapest, and you have to spend a lot of time queuing. Good for 2- 4 days max. Views depend on the weather, if no snow, your experience will be terrible.

Great views, well organized. In summer, get bike on top, its 8 km of fun on way down! Or you can go for mountain tops trek, about 40 km of breathtaking views and nature. In winter, it's skiers and snowboarding paradise

Skiing at SkiResort Cerna Hora was an absolute blast! It started off a bit rocky, as parking at the bottom was completely full, so we had to park a bit farther away. But the good news was that it was cheaper, and there was a free bus that took us around the slopes. We also had the chance to borrow a sleigh, which was a ton of fun. The highlight of the day was taking the cable car up the mountain. It cost us 170 CZK for the kids and 225 CZK for adults, but it was worth every penny! The ride was surprisingly long, and the scenery was simply breathtaking. The landscapes and scenery were truly breathtaking. The powder snow was an added bonus, and the restaurants up and down the slopes were also great. Although, there were many people lining up at the cable car, which made it a bit crowded inside. We went twice and there were people sneezing, which was a bit concerning. The sledding was also a great experience, but we had to cross the slopes a few times where skiers and snowboarders were crossing. There were a few pits that made the sleigh fly high and hurt our backs, legs, and butts, but it was all part of the fun! In conclusion, skiing at SkiResort Cerna Hora was an absolute blast and we would definitely do it again next year!

Whoever is responsible for the price structure shall be sent back to the elementary school. The prices are high, no surprise, but the price structure is not supporting groups, families, interest/ professional groups - so it is aiming at the absent minded richies who do not require or mind the service. The idea of parking overnight being 2x more expensive than a daily rate certainly encourages long stays. The only plus is the functional Ski bus service.

For this part of Central Europe, very good ski resort for a reasonable price (ca. 30-35€ per day). There are plenty of food stations. If just there is enough snow, mostly well prepared for skiing. Unfortunately, after 9am all parking slots are taken. Then parking is still possible as there are some other parkings a bit further.

One of the best ski resort in Czech. Close to Polish border. Ca.17 km several km of well-prepared ski trails. The best is about 3 km under the lift (pod Lanovką). The Angel lift opens the fastest at the turn of November and December. Very nice route with an even slope of about 1500 m. 4 restaurants .

No-one speaks english at ruzova hora station during a chair car ride, typical Czech only. WC available.

Quickly accesible from Prague, good parking, easy slopes. What I don't like is the skipass prices, and the food in the restaurants in the resort.

I am amazed that this tiny water hole will become a big river crossing czechia and germany to the north sea. But I was hoping there is a drinking fountain , to try the fresh water from the spring but there is none, and the water in the hole is not that clean.

Very busy but amazing place. Easily accessible (around 2 km) by taking a bus to Zlate Navrsi. We took a bus from Harrachov but there were other buses, e.g. from Rokytnice. On the was to Pramen Labe you can stop for a light food at Labska Bouda.

Nice walk from Vrbatova bouda to the Labe spring. Lots of people. Worth a visit, it's a must see in Krkonoše. Reserve all day to walk the whole track.

It was a must for us as we are riding along Elbe and this is the start. But the hike around is just great. However, you cannot ride directly to the spring. You need to walk approximately 1.5 km on foot. On the other hand, you can leave your bike locked and hidden at Labská cottage - just ask for the keys in the restaurant.

Symbolic spring of Labe near the real 300 m far away one. There are even erbs of the important cities Labe flows through on its almost 1,200 km long journey to the Northern Sea.

Not much to see, unless you are crazy about river sources. There is an artificial little pond, which is officially the source, and a stone wall with coats of arms of towns and cities that Elbe goes through...

Definitely the best restaurant in Janske Lazne. Every choice of the menu is worth to taste. My favorites: deer-steak, pork-tomahawk, duck-confitt ...and many more ;-) Don't forget to reserve places, if You intend to visit Karmela in bigger group, esp. in main season. Decorated with lovely pictures of old-fashioned skiing-style and local life, dated early XX century.

The food and service is excellent. Very friendly atmosphere. They play good music and the lighting is nice. The roasted chicken with mashed potatoes is juicy and flavorful. Try the cabbage soup, it is delicious. We highly recommend the pickled cheese appetizer. The desserts are homemade. We tried all 3 and will be back for more!

The place is nice, but the rest (food, staff) is just ok. Not bad at all, but don't expect a surprise. If you look for rather an international cruise than for local one this might be the place for you. Price a bit higher but similar to other places within the slightly overpriced region. Seating outdoor (next to a street) and inside as well. For parking use the huge central parking area nearby.

We slept for one night in vosecka bouda. The sleeping part is horrible. One can call it authentic, but for us it was Extremely old, stairs, floors, doors, beds, carpet. It is all very, very old. Showers and toilet is quite Ok and at least clean. We stayed in a 5 beds-room, no.5. The room was located above the kitchen and there was a dominant smell of fried food in the room during the whole night. Heating was on - hot radiator ( end of July) and couldn’t be turned down, due to lack of a turning knob. So temp in the room was about 30 degrees, with 5 persons in a small room with only a small window to open. Only one sheet on this very old bed, not fixed, so like sleeping on a couch. No electricity plug in the room, only a plug in the restaurant to charge your phone eg. Obviously no internet ( which we actually liked). Restaurant was good, proper Czech food and very, very friendly personnel!

Surrounded by beautiful and breathtaking scenery, this hostel is full of surprises. Everything just looks from a previous era. You walk in and it feels like you have travelled back in time to late 70’s. The interior and the exterior looks vintage. After a long hike the food tastes even better. You can wash it down with a premium quality Czech lager. Bathrooms are very clean which, in my book, is a priority. Rooms are small and need to be ventilated before falling asleep. Smell can be troublesome for some people. You can only charge your devices downstairs, by the bar. Electric outlets don’t work in rooms (probably safety precaution). For breakfast, make sure to show up early because they don’t replenish when it is all gone. When the sky is clear in the night, you can literally see millions of stars.

Old, dark, stuffy and old fashioned place but very charming in a way. Not much variation on the menu but that doesn't really matter. Everything tastes good after heavy mountain walks. 😉 Much less crowded here than the arrival station near the lifts.

After eating the garlic soup my wife demanded I sleep in a different room. Highly recommended!

Great tasting food in a nice cozy atmosphere. All the food we had was tasty. We had ordered broth soup, burger cooked to medium (flavorful and juicy), but the quesadilla was the best quesadilla I’ve ever had. Fantastic flavor profile. 🤤. We finished off with dessert and coffee and left incredibly full. We got lucky and they had a table for 2 available, but otherwise it’s best you make a reservation.

Delicious food, best in the area. Be sure to make a reservation to secure a table. The meat and duck were mouth watering, not to mention the desserts were incredible!!! A must visit when you’ve spent a day on the slopes!

So much beauty in one place. In a magnificent green forest lies a beautiful waterfall. Recommended for a visit. The road from the parking lot to the waterfall takes about fifteen minutes but goes along a well-maintained path through the forest and is very pleasant. There are various hiking trails in the area. It is beautiful there and the way to the waterfall is pretty chill. On the weekend were there a few people, but we did go again on a Monday and there was nobody ^^

It's not the biggest waterfall i have seen but it's one of the prettiest and it's easy to find places where the kids can jump around on the rocks and in the water, we are for sure going to come back to this area again. You have to pay for parking but it's not that expensive.

This waterfall is truly the most breathtaking natural wonder I have ever seen. It is the tallest, most powerful, and most mesmerizing sight nature could possibly create. The cascading water sparkles in the sunlight, creating the most magical rainbow views imaginable.

If you are going to visit this museum you have to do the tour in the mine. They have an audio tour (NL/BE, DE, PL) for people who dont speak czech. We had to wait 2 hours before they started. In the mean time we walked to the nearby waterfall. The friendly girl at the reception spoke English wich was very helpful. Great visit!

Interesting. Better to take warm clothes because it's only 7°C in it. You walk inside a hill. Not for people with claustrophobia.

We went there in a group of 4 around 1pm but were told there're only tickets for last tour, while none previous group was full, when we decided to buy the tickets we were told it was sold out, I felt like the ticket clerk didn't want to sell them anyway

Great hike to Szrenica after the waterfall! After visiting the waterfall, you can continue the trail toward Szrenica mountain. Along the way, there’s a hut where you can rest—but keep in mind they accept cash only. The hike is beautiful, and reaching the top is totally rewarding with amazing views!

Beautiful mountain with amazing panoramic views. There’s also a nice spot to rest and enjoy the view. A great place for hiking and taking photos. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area! 🌲

The walk up the mountain was alright, not very tiring. Based on the path you take (from the city) the forest path might be under construction

Pretty cool place. Cool hike from szklarska poreba. Nice views but nothing special in comparison to tatra mountains. Food at the hostel is really good. You can take ropeway either roundtrip or one way.

Great excursion with plenty of interesting information and history. Watching the masters of glass was a very impressive experience! It's worth visiting the museum, shop and local brewery as well! Excursions are starting every hour since 9am till 3pm.

A truly fascinating experience! The glass is still made in a very traditional way, which made the visit feel authentic and special. The combination of glassworks and brewery is a unique and well-executed concept. Our tour guide (a woman) spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable, answering even more in-depth questions with confidence. After the tour, we enjoyed a delicious beer from the on-site brewery. One tip: it’s worth asking in advance if an English-speaking guide will be available that day. We also would have loved to try the beer spa, but unfortunately, there were no slots left – so booking ahead is definitely recommended!

A wonderful place that takes your breath away

The museum itself is mostly different vases made from glass to see. Very pretty but not a must-see in my opinion. Information is in Czech mostly so for non-Czech speakers it's a bit hard. The tour of the factory is in Czech as well, only sometimes available in English if you pay extra and are with a bigger group, so we didn't do this. There is an option to engrave or paint your own glass and I would really recommend this! Was a lot of fun. You pay for the glass (I paid 150 Czk for a wineglass) and they provide the necessary tools. Also the small cafe has some nice cake, tea and coffee!

Super cool tour, although only in Czech and German. You not only get to see the glassworkers working from a gallery at the top, but even get to go on the floor and see the work close up.

The excursion in the longest continuously open glass factory in Europe (and probably even in the world) is gorgeous. It's interesting to see the proces very closely. Free beer or nonalcoholic drink included in the price of the ticket is a nice bonus. And they have fantastic home made raspberry limonade in the cake shop in museum building. :-)

Great and fast skiing with fast track as well nice restaurant. Also a separate Champagner lounge available, but wrong label for us…:-) anyhow, everybody is helpful, friendly you will find a high hygienic standard from restaurant to the rest rooms. Taxi-Service available at the entrance…

Very nice views and also had alot of decent pistes. The lifts were very nice because they had a nice roof so you stay warm and dry.

Nice elevator. The slopes were nice at the moment I visited. The queues were short at bad weather. But once the sun was back there was a pretty long queue. This location has 2 other elevators and one was not open at the moment of visit.

Good place for all kind of difficult trails, It was my first time snowboarding so I mainly go on number 2 trail which is blue, recommended!

Very well prepared pistes - even though it was the end of the season and spring was in the air there was a lot of snow of good quality. The pistes are wide and picturesque. Even the red slopes are good for beginners. At the bars (bottom and top) you do not have to wait and there is always plenty of stuff to choose from. Ski lift entrance is extremely wide and the line moves very very fast.

Good blue slopes for kids and learners. Didn't enjoy any level of slopes on snowboard, possibly it's going to be better on skies. It may be because of poor weather conditions, but no snowblowers were running to improve the slopes...on Saturday. Decent dining places, pretty packed tho. Parking spots are filled by about 10am. Upside is the skipas is cheaper of all the resorts in the area.

Our favourite ski resort in Krkonose for weekend skiing. Nice wide slope for small kids and beginners in upper part of Bubakov and red trail for advanced skiers from Zaly hill. Free parking and wide choice of reastaurants and bistros.

Several great slopes, red and blue. Black is pretty short and runs into a rather sharp red. Connects with Bubakov and ski passes are usable at both. Ski school for kids are great at both Herlikovice and Bubakov.

I really enjoyed this ski region. Good, well-kept tracks, nice pubs and rest areas.

Disappointing coloring system of the slopes. You might start with a blue and on the way it gets red quite often. Which of course is not nice experience for people that are trying to learn. On top of that the worst part is that regardless what color you are gonna pick. In the end it gets quite challenging. Don't know how Czech mountains are but I have never experienced such approach for novice skiers.

Herlikovice Bubákov, Žalý

Medium sized friendly ski resort. There is about 5 different slopes you can go on in winter. In the summer this is a good starting point for many walk in Krkonoše. The ski lift operates in summer as well (every hour) so you can save yourself a treck up the hill and get straight to the tops to carry on with your walks in direction of Špindlerův Mlýn or Benecko just to name the most obvious options. In August you can find bilberies in the woodlands and the mushroom season is also starting around now (depending on the weather!). The resort is also very near the lovely town of Vrchlabi which has beautiful historic centre with a small chateau and a park. There is many B'n'B s around - be sure to make a booking in winter, summer is a lot less busy. I can personally recommend Penzion 444 in Herlikovice where I have stayed many times! They also have a Penzion 222 nearer the town centre if that is your thing!

Interesting tour, very friendly guide. Not available in our language (Dutch) so we choose German. Guide really made sure to talk slowly so we could understand. On other days they have English guides too, and they have printed out papers with translation to other languages. Very cool to see the craftsman and women work the glass!

Fabulous place to visit. Well organized so easy to find all the featured sites. Glass factory tour very interesting, in Czech and in English. Glass museum beautiful items. Nice restaurant to sit back and enjoy your meal.

Very interesting to see a real life glass blowing workshop, the food is good, beer is very good and the shop is dangerously awesome. The guide should speak a bit slower and try to articulate in English when kids are in the group (it was a little hard to follow her even for adults). They could improve the museum a bit (add some videos of different glass blowing techniques, put up more info in English as well, add years to the exhibits). I got the wrong order at the restaurant and there wasn't even an apology. The ladies toilet was run down an rather dirty...

Worth to visit to experience the living glassworks, followed by locally brewed, very solid beer and tasty classic local food to accompany it. I need to come back for the beer baths some day, the last time unfortunately we had no time for it!

Cool place. Definitely to visit and eat in the restaurant here. It's possible to eat and drink on the balcony inside the active, still working glass factory!

Very tasty craftsman's beer especially light to drink Hutne 8 and tasty Frantisek 12. Same place there's possible to check an exhibition of local glass manufacturing. Recommend to visit this kind place.

Self service restaurant with a few local dishes . Make sure you have local currency otherwise they take a huge commission if you pay in Euros!! Would recommend for a quick snack/ice cream not for lunch though, but there are many good options outside of this area.

The food is an absolute disaster, no other words to describe it. By all means not relevant for family with kids, no food for children at all. Location is fantastic, literally on top of the waterfall. Coming over here for a beer in the balcony, listening to the flowing water is very nice, very recommended. Coming here to eat - STRONGLY ADVICE not to do it. Prices are very cheap.

This restaurant is very authentic and the food is not bad, but it isn't anything special. I recomend to visit it anyways, because there is a lot diffrent drinks.

Fairytale place to drink in beautiful Forrest by the waterfall. Old-school pub with super friendly owner/tapster. Can sit here all day rather than climb up the mountain. Krakanos beer is cold and fresh. Traditional Czech goulash is a must. Secret little pub for afternoon pints in a Forrest setting. Must see place.

The guy here is extremely not nice. Stay away.. The other restaurant is amazing

The food at the restaurant was fantastic! I ordered two traditional dishes and was delighted. The dishes were prepared with high-quality ingredients and tasted delicious. The service was very professional, provided excellent recommendations, and was very friendly. I recommend it.

Amazing people, we came in from a hike late and the kitchen was already closed, but the waiter went out of his way to get us some food, even sharing his own dinner with us. Absolutely outstanding, thank you very much!

I literally don't know what to say. The food, simply phenomenal. I got the Pork Steak with Herb sauce and bread dumplings. I have never tasted a better cooked steak and a better sauce in my life. The service was absolutely amazing and the Atmosphere?! Absolutely amazing! Sadly, I am from Prague and I was just passing through and can't come more often but if I was closer, I am 110% sure I would come here everyday!

We went here for dinner. We had the onion rings and pickled cheese as appertizers. They were very good, the sauce with the onion rings was different and the pickled cheese was also very good and something new for us. Then we had the fish and me the roast duck. The fish was good but the roast duck was really sublime. I did not care that much for the dumplings with the duck, i've had better during our stay in Czech republic but like i said, the duck itself was incredibly good. The red cabbage was also very good. The waiters were also very friendly, polite, even allowed us to switch tables etc. One of them made a few jokes. All in all a very good experience.

Great food and generous portions. Menus are only available in Czech but easily do a Google translate on it (Photos attached). One of the staff was also readily taking us through it. Ordered the Pork neck and kids spaghetti from the lunch time menu. The trout fillet with a bed of potato rosti from the regular menu and a side of french fries served with ketchup and mayonnaise.

This place was recommended to us due to its perfect cuisine. It is a really interesting place to wisit. We were delighted with the meals chosen and can recommend them to others. Few suggestions for improvement - only one waiter out of 5 was smiling at customers (except of payment), glossy dark details of the interior should be cleaned from dust more often and huge aquarium which should bring wow effect to the customers at the entrance is showing plenty of not really nice scratches.

Friday, April 14, 2023 - 7PM Excellent food fast and super friendly staff! 5 stars all over except the atmosphere because of a group of German tourists. I am a Dutch guy living in Germany with my Czech wife and son, so understood everything that group spoke about. First of all: I think it's rude, to just keep on talking German to locals abroad and assume, they understand you! Stuff like "hahahaha, look how cheap it is" or "it's bad, they don't have the menu in German" is a disgrace! Eating like maniacs and splitting a bill is another no go but a real terrible idea is, to check all items on the bill, complain about the prices and even claim, not having had something which was written on the bill and tipping 10 CZK on a total amount of over 1000 CZK... Liebe deutsche Touristen, 1.) Rede Englisch wenn ihr kein tschechisch verstehen könnt wie wir. 2.) Benimmt euch wie Erwachsene. Habt Respekt für lokaler Wahrung und Benimmregeln

By far the least of the restaurants we have visited this summer. We like Czech food but this was just not right somehow.

We ordered daily special - duck - and it was very good. The man serving us was friendly. Nice seating outside on a warm autumn day, they have got also warm blanket. Overall, nice experience! 😊

Really Nice dishes and quite a lot !

Same experience as someone else wrote a few days ago - waiting for an hour for a lunch while other guests, that arrived later, left after finishing their lunch, is quite unacceptable. An arrogant waiter as a cherry on top, making lame excuses and being just cocky. Skip this place and save yourself some trouble. You're welcome.

A must in terms of hike in the Czech Republic, very well signaled and prepared routes on both sides, recommend to do it in warmer season. I did it in winter and it was very tough compared to summer. The village (Pec pod Sněžkou) under the mountain it's the perfect place to stay for 1-2 nights, as the hiking routes basically starts from it

The highest peak in Czech- Bohemia, Sněžka 1603m s/l where it borders Poland. Nice hike from the Polish side of the Silesian Hut ⛰️ 😉👍

We visited on a foggy day, the cablecar was even closed half way to the mountain top due to strong winds, so we hiked there. The path is not very long, some 6km in total. Expect lots of steep stairs and some hard ice, even in the Spring time. Even though, we couldn't see much, view wise, we still enjoyed the short adventure. Make sure to bring warm clothing... It felt like - 10 at the top due to the strong winds. The nearby parking is paid and around 1km away from the cable car station but there is a nice side trail following the water stream.

This trip was unplanned, so the weather conditions were not in my favor, and it was difficult to enjoy the scenery. However, this trip was a great risky adventure that will remain in my memory for a long time. An incredible place for a winter vacation.

Unfortunately we didn’t go to the top out of safety concerns. The thing is that it’s quite easy to reach the top. But when there is snow on the mountains I suggest to use spikes as they should prevent you from falling and sliding down the hill which can be really dangerous. So please prepare yourself before you visit this mountain. And there are many people

I was very surprised to find this kind of museum in this kind of place, and it was pretty nice! I felt myself as a kid again and the exhibition is made by people who are in love with their job, thank you guys attaching happy Lego husbando Jpeg x)

Very impressive exhibition of interactive lego scenes that are setup with lighting, music and sound effects. These are like the scenes you see in Lego advertisements that almost no one builds in real life. It is interactive in the in most of the exhibits you can press a button or joystick that you’d typically see in a model train museum. There are frames on the wall showcasing how legos have changed over the years and they also have many of the massive legos like the Titanic, Millenium Falcon and others. I didn’t see the Star Wars ATAT robot. There’s a small play area which didn’t gave many legos to play with and only had space for about 5 kids to play. Important to note - all the exhibits are behind glass like an art museum but you can get close to everything. This multi floor exhibit has many rooms on each floor. The kids will love it. Mine spent 1 hour on the exhibits and 1 hour playing. They’d stay longer but it was the afternoon already and lunch had yet to be had, so to avoid the, you know, disaster, we left to eat. There were a few groups in there but there was no wait and we didn’t have to wait to see any exhibits. Warning - legos are for sale at the entry. And you know your kids will want to buy EVERYTHING.

This is an incredible place. It’s a must-visit for every Lego fan and everyone who kept the child within. You can spend hours here and find some new lovingly detail. I found so many memories to my childhood. Highly recommended!

This place was lit. The Lego museum was good to see how Lego has evolved from the 70's to now. Kids would definitely love this place. And then there was the video games museum. I can't explain the feeling I had when I was walking in between all those old games and consoles. Super Mario, tanks, tekken, road rash and price of Persia and lots of other games you could play just like you did 20 years ago. Takes you back

Excellent. I was not expecting such a good little museum! Great displays, a lot of attention and small details, and the adjoining Video Console museum was excellent as well with a brilliant collection and lots of classic playable games. I suggest a visit to anyone!

Quite big ski resort. Ski pass isn't that cheap in the winter season. There are plenty of people close to the weekends. Good option for ski/snowboarding for a 3- 4 days maximum. In the summer, you can go for a hike and see much more in the Karkonosze National Park.

Great for kids! Lift was quite expensive but view was amazing and it had a lot of children’s play stuff at the top and a child-friendly restroom

A beautiful mountain peek with a lovely view, a great place to hike or take the cable car for the lazier ones ;). You can borrow a scooter to get down, take the cable car or just hike down on foot. Overall a very nice mountain.

Nice chateau with large park. There is a municipal office in the chateau, therefore there is no exhibition inside except few historical trophies in the foyer. Nevertheless, the walk in the park worth it and the views of the chateau are very nice. When you are in the area, spare some time and visit the park. Paid parking is right next to the chateau (10 Czech crowns per hour, i.e. aprox. 0.25E).

Absolutely beautiful park and chatue. The duck pond is peaceful calm and walker’s delight. The park is maintained and good for dog walk too. Nearby city square offers small refreshment and grocery. Nearby church is elegant and to not forget to check the poetic fountain near church. Recommended day trip from Prague.

This castle is inhabiting the city hall/authorities. You can see the inside, but don't expect a museum. Still the whole town is lovely and worth a visit!

The hike to the top of Medwiedin takes about an hour. At the summit, there is a small playground and a restaurant making it a great spot to relax after the climb.

This place is awesome great slopes

Basically a very okay lift and mountain area with a big playground for children. But once you are on top, you cannot take the lift down to Spindler Mühle whenever you want. Sometimes you need to wait for up to one hour before you are allowed to take the lift. Take care if you go there with little children!!!

Must see in Spindleruv Mlyn. Plan at least 7-8 hours hiking time once you hit on Medvedin

An interesting walk up to these falls. Pity it was raining on our visit. But also interesting history as can be read on the information board. If you visit and read the English information the old English word 'hop' means dance....

Unlike Google says it is open, better try to call them first in Summer time as - like many other restaurants in the area - they are probably closed. It is a pity if you have walked 8 kilometers to have a lunch here and the place is deserted.

We came to this restaurant as a group, hoping for a good experience, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. Half of the items on the menu were not available. Because of this, we decided not to order anything. However, the waitress had already sent an order to the kitchen without confirming with us. When I asked her to stop the order, the restaurant still demanded that we pay, even though nothing had been brought to the table. This is not acceptable service, and we left with a very negative impression.

Great, cozy and affordable restaurant. We had some classic czech food and it was really delicious, staff members were very friendly and service was very quick. Also there are a few stuffed animals, including a massive bear located right next to the entrance, which created a great atmosphere as in some hunter's cabin. Overall great experience.
