Beach
Playa de El Médano, located in the south of Tenerife, is a popular destination for wind and watersports enthusiasts. This untamed beach boasts almost two kilometers of golden sand and holds a Blue Flag for its high-quality surroundings and water. The area features open-air bars, restaurants, and a vibrant weekend market with a hippie vibe offering handmade jewelry and souvenirs.
I liked this beach because of the trees, which are great for sheltering from the scorching sun. The sand here is lovely, and the water entry is nice. There are toilets and cafés nearby. The only downside is that it’s a bit windy.
Olga V — Google review
El Médano is a beach on the south coast of Tenerife, just a few kilometers from the main south airport. It offers a local atmosphere, golden sandy beaches, and some of the best conditions for water sports. The area has three main beaches and several smaller coves, all with pale sand and a gradual entry into the water. The town beach, located right in front of the main square, is protected from strong waves and currents, making it safe for swimming and a good choice for families with children. The water is usually clear and calm, and there’s plenty of space to relax and play. El Médano still keeps a relaxed, authentic vibe without big hotel complexes or loud nightlife. Lovely looking beach. Temperature of water in august was optimal. But it was windy as hell and overcrowded. Good for wind sports but not really for taning and swimming.

Beautiful beach with restaurants, bars and shops along the boardwalk. Not as crowded as other city beaches in Tenerife. Safe bathing w
Sean B — Google review
Great beach with plenty of coves for sunbathing or swimming. Depending on the wind at the far end, there are plenty of water sports. Restaurants and shops stretch the whole of the beach. The feel is very Spanish and not one of the tourists beaches that are down the coast. I have to mention my partner who liked looking at the lifeguards!
Paul M — Google review
Beautiful beach, great for surfing, kite surfing, foil surfing and other water sports. There is a wooden promenade in the shopping area and a few small shops and coffee bars. Plenty of parking, including space for camper vans near the beach. Great spot to visit, long stretch of beach (some parts sand and some parts rocky) There are free toilets in the town square/ centre. Not far from. The airport (about 15 mins, €18 in a taxi due to the additional airport taxi charges)

Beautiful place to visit. Great for watersports but also lovely walk on promenade and harbour. Safe for swimming and good choice of bars and restaurants

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Pizzeria Wairua has been a favorite destination for customers for a decade. Their pizzas are extraordinary, unrivaled, and worth exploring around the globe. The pizza itself was exceptional, but unfortunately, the salad did not meet expectations this time. Usually, their salads are on par with their mouthwatering pizzas; however, it seemed like there might have been changes in the salad department. Consequently, the overall experience fell short of perfection.
Amazing!!! My one of favourite places with pizza on Tenerife, i recommend pizza with pear and Gorgonzola
Anita G — Google review
It’s not traditionally Neapolitan but still really great pizza. It’s also a really central location and therefore it gets so busy they even rented the next door space to open a place just to take-away. So if you choose to sit that’s nice, or you can take a pizza to the beach and eat it there! I really recommend the Diavalo. Wish they could add Buffalo but they just have standard mozzarella.
Antonio R — Google review
A large selection of different pizza. Nice price, excellent food

Excellent food, the restaurant was a stand out from a week in Medano. The pizzas were delicious and the pumpkin/gorgonzola/walnut lasagna outstanding 👌🏻
Pete B — Google review
My wife and I have ordered pizza "para llevar" from here the last two nights, because it is just such good pizza. I always order a weird custom pizza with flavor advice from the guy manning the to-go desk, and she orders off the menu. Both times the pizza had been fantastic and perfectly cooked and ready super fast. I highly recommend this place for all your to go pizza needs. Truffle pizzas and pesto the wife said were great. I ordered a custom pizza with bacon, mushrooms, sausage, smoked cheese, egg, spinach, olives, garlic oil and hot spicy oil and I couldn't be happier. Toppings were flavourful and fresh, crust baked to perfection. I wish i had gotten the name of the guy taking our orders, he has been super friendly and helpful in recommendations. Can't speak to the sit down restaurant, but I'm sure it is great as well.

Great pizza (try the charcoal base! Masa negra), different carpaccios including a veggie one made from mushroom and yummy fresh salads. Quick and friendly service.

Manfred's Soul Cafe offers a relaxed lounge with a terrace that provides a beautiful view of Montana Roja and wind surfers in the distance. They serve coffee, cocktails, and tapas in a casual ambiance. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes offered. A crowd favorite is their pura vida smoothie which combines fruit and mint flavors. Additionally, they offer two different chip dips/sauces, including guacamole and a sweet soft curry sauce.
We spontaneously enjoyed a wonderful coffee and brunch time with a nice view to montaña roja here, when we had some spare time before heading to the airport. The whole team seems to enjoy their jobs. Drinks and food were really great!

We ordered the bread with goat cheese and caramelised onions as well as some olives and iced latte. The view is spectacular and the food was amazing! It get's quite busy in the evening so reservations are a good idea

Stayed in El Medano for a night and went to this bar for some drinks. The place ended up being so fun and had such good atmosphere that we stayed there for hours. Everyone seemed to be having a great time including the staff. The drinks were good and we really enjoyed ourselves. Definitely visiting again when in the area.

It is a nice place to work on laptop and have breakfast. The atmosphere is quite nice with beach view. You can see kite-surfers and windsurfers in the background while having your coffee.

- chill vibes - Great place for a rich breakfast. I had the manfreds breakfast and it came with all you need including freshly pressed orange juice 😍 for only 12.50 EUR - the waitress was sooo nice
Aynara — Google review
Very chilled restaurant. We ordered two strawberry daiquiris but we were given lemon ones instead (?) - mentioned it to the wait staff who took them and brought them back again a few minutes later with blended strawberries. My wife could see the bar, and said they gave us the same drinks back with strawberries added in. Tasted fine though :-) If I could give them some feedback from here, can you blend it for longer so it's more like a slush, because most of the ice was big chunks that you couldn't get through the straw, even after waiting half an hour for it to melt so we could finally drink it through the straw, there was a good inch of ice chunks left in the glasses.

Special Nature Reserve Montaña Roja is a popular spot for hiking and enjoying scenic views. Situated near El Medano in Tenerife, it is flanked by Playa Grande and Playa Tejita beaches, attracting water sports enthusiasts due to the windy conditions. Visitors can start their day with a delightful breakfast at the waterfront cafes before embarking on a stroll towards the red mountain. The climb to the top takes around 30 minutes and offers breathtaking views, especially during sunrise and sunset.
nice hike/walk with view on beach below the mountain, it takes 50 minutes to the top, you can go different ways on the top and on the left side of mountaing go to rocky beach down ( nudistic beach), best during the sunny day
Michal C — Google review
About a 25 min hike up, but worth the view. I was a bit late for the sunset it would be even better but still worth the walk 😁
Jan V — Google review
Must climb if you are in the area. Very popular route to the top, it takes around 30 minutes to get to the top. The view from up there is amazing specially for sunrise and sunset. It is also a nice spot to watch the planes leaving as it is in the proximity of the airport. Take a jacket with you as it can get pretty windy up there.
Albert B — Google review
The Nature here is very nice. It is mostly rocks but to see how much plants are still being able to survive is beautiful
Adrian — Google review
A great place for amateurs of mountain hiking. It will not take much time, but it will leave many unforgettable impressions. Beauty from above, the endless ocean, near the airport, and at the foot of the volcano there is a beautiful sandy beach where you can rent a sun lounger and an umbrella.
Svetlana G — Google review
Early morning walk incredible views. Wear good shoe's as it can be pebbly walking down
Mark S — Google review
Beautiful beach, covered from north winds. Good for chilling, families and couples. Reminder that there is nudists as well. Easy to park in the morning
Eduardo V — Google review
This is a fairly easy hike up the mountain. Hardest part is that it’s gravely so it can get a little slippery at times, but just carefully calculate where you walk and you’ll be fine. The trail starts to disperse a little toward the top, but you’ll find your way. We walked over from El Médano following the trails and then walked along the beach on the way back, which I recommend if that’s where you’re staying. The views from the top are great, we hung out there for a little. It’s windy, but as to be expected at the top of a mountain especially in El Médano where wind surfing is a top sport. We didn’t have a chance to do it, but I would definitely try to hike up for sunset, I think it would be a great spot. The hike up from the bottom overall took us about an hour with stops, but otherwise probably would’ve taken about 45 minutes. Check it out!

Playa de la Tejita is the largest natural beach in Tenerife, offering stunning views of mountains and a striking rust-red rock formation called Montana Roja. Unlike other crowded southern beaches, this 1km stretch of dark-colored sand is popular among surfers and nudists. The beach is also known for its reliable wind conditions, making it perfect for water sports enthusiasts.
The best wild beach with waves 🌊 sometimes they are huge! Nudist aria, feel free to join! Plus the mountain for easy hike! Jut prepare all you need with you, there is nothing on the beach!
Таня Е — Google review
The beach is beautiful, and parking isn't far either. Personally, I found there were too many nudists, and the strange thing is they weren’t just in one section, but spread out along the whole beach — even right next to families with small children. I mean, I get it, but seeing an unpleasant, unattractive naked body… it's just too much. The world is going crazy.
Lupascu V — Google review
Best beach on the island. Big waves and strong wind. Black sand. The beach is big so not crowded. Amazing
Michaela O — Google review
Playa La Tejita is one of the largest natural beaches in Tenerife, with bright, fine sand and no large hotels nearby. It’s usually uncrowded, attracting mostly locals, and offers plenty of space for relaxing, beach activities, and children to play. The main drawback is the frequent wind, so it’s worth checking the forecast. Lifeguards are on duty daily. The water is clear, calm, and safe with a gradual entry. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented for €5. There are no showers or toilets, and the nearest restaurant or shop is about an 8-minute walk. A nudist area is located at the far end under Montaña Roja. Parking is available nearby. Bus: Lines 410, 470, 483. MORE INFO ON THE WEBSITE: HONEST-TENERIFE
Honest T — Google review
A very nice beach however, upon arrival I was surprised to see so many nudists walking around especially really old men and women. It was a shock as there were also plenty of children/families there. There was no sign warning about this so just be aware. Anyway the waves and water are nice.
Saf — Google review
This beach is big and beautiful. The water is shallow and the waves aren’t dangerous. But watch the color of the flags. Be careful, the beach is very windy and there are no places to hide from the sun or to change your clothes. There are no showers or toilets.
Peter H — Google review
Very wide beach, fine grained sand. Not much ppl there, some nudist. Beach loungers 15 eur for 2 (Feb 2015). Can swim here, however waves are usually kinda big- sometimes need to wait when it just sustain a little. Two lifeguard stands. Big parking nearby, finally no parking issues at Tenerife 😁 It’s windy here, wind was lower afternoon.
Dominik P — Google review
Loved this beach. Quiet, lounge chairs (all day for 5 euro). Waves are intense - maybe too intense for swimming - but relaxed vibe - bring lunch and snacks - relax and enjoy the view of the massive red rock.

Restaurante Maracuja is a well-established restaurant known for its seafood, steaks, and Spanish dishes. The relaxed atmosphere and delicious, reasonably priced food make it a favorite among visitors. The Brazilian dishes are particularly noteworthy, with the Picanha being highly recommended. The restaurant's vibrant and quirky decor adds to the overall dining experience. Guests appreciate the attention to detail in preparing quality, tasty food from scratch.
This is our favorite restaurant and you can definitely notice that you are eating quality, tasty food prepared with care. They make everything from scratch which makes all the difference. We love the food, but we also appreciate the environment. The candle lights, good music and an overall good vibe. A must-try in El Medano, Tenerife Sur!

Absolute highlight🌟! After a windy day at the beach was nice to enjoy the relax atmosphere (indoor especially) with jazz music, nice art on the walls and art on the plate :) Yuraima Salad is great, very balanced taste and was enough for me for a dinner. Secreto Iberico is soooo tender, very nice dish for more hungry people 😋
Maria C — Google review
Such an unpleasant experience created by the older gentleman who works as a server, doubled up by the lady manager. We were 3 people trying to have dinner and we asked for one table inside since out there was a lot of wind. We had one dog with us. The server told us we can’t get a table inside since we had the dog. We mentioned in English, in Spanish, that the dog will stay outside. And time after time again, she was just looping the conversation stating the same thing “the dog can’t get inside” So the after 15min of going in circle in which our patients started to erode, she started to accuse that we are aggressive and that she actually never said anything about the dog. Horrible staff, horrible management! No wonder the restaurants around were full and Maracuja was completely empty! Will never recommend such horrible service!
Ovi B — Google review
Great food. The mix grill was fantastic. One of the best meals we have had on the island so far. One tip, make sure you book in advance as we saw several people turned away due to the restaurant being fully booked two nights in a row
Paul S — Google review
Food was good. Service could have been a little bit more attractive especially as it was not that busy. Let down by serving frozen chips with the meal rather than homemade chips and small portion for the price. Personally I felt it was expensive for what we got. Was there with friends for their birthday.
Alex D — Google review
One of the nicest restaurants we have been in the island. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I’m Brazilian and they did justice to their Brazilian dishes, they were delicious!!! Picanha! The owner, her chef and the new waiter are fantastic. The owner really knows how to run a busy restaurant. The deco is beautiful and quirky, very colourful and their art work are fabulous.

Tasca La Lata Del Gofio is a wonderful establishment situated near the beach in Puertuto de Guimar. It offers a serene atmosphere to relax and enjoy the day. The local people who frequent this place are friendly, creating a welcoming environment. Engaging with the bartenders can make your day even more enjoyable. One must-try delicacy is the mango tequila shots, which leave an amazing taste in your mouth.
The food here was delicious and affordable. Felt a family run atmosphere with food cooked with heart. Only recommendation is that you try to get a seat inside the restaurant because outside is incredibly windy being near the sea and beach which is known for kite surfing.

We was there 3 times two dinner and one lunch.. service is great even we don’t speak Español , local wine 🍷 taste the best and my favorite that I have to keep order them is Chopitos de La Lata !

Despite a local friend's recommendation, our experience fell short of expectations. Unfortunately, the food lacked the expected flavors and was notably overpriced. Our choice of grilled cheese and fish starters failed to capture the essence of the delightful dishes we enjoyed up north. The only thing we liked was bread with Mojo.
Dana K — Google review
We went twice while in El Médano. Very good and large portion of piementos de padron! A "chicken" dish was mistranslated in the menu and since I didn't double check, it turned out I got dogfish (shark) which I normally would never order. It wasn't good, very chewy and dry. Before I started eating they did offer to exchange the dish, but we did not want to throw away food either. The tuna steak was good, but served quite bare-bones for the price ("salad" was only a few leaves). The first time we came, we ordered bread and mojo ahead and when we came next, the waiter put it on our table again, without asking, so we assumed it was complimentary this time. It was not, so the proper thing would be to ask if wanted it. It simply couldn't compete with other restaurants we tried but we saw many locals who happily ate there, so maybe we were just unlucky or didn't understand enough.

Calima Cafe is a small and charming cafe located right on the beach promenade in El Medano. The chef personally prepares the food, which makes it a popular spot with limited seating. Visitors highly recommend trying their breakfast and dinner options. The cafe offers a great location with a view of the sea, making it an ideal place to enjoy coffee or snacks such as sandwiches and croissants. While the prices may be slightly higher than average, they are comparable to other establishments in El Medano.
Great spot to stop for a drink & something to eat. Reasonably price as well. Right by the beach so fantastic view.

The service was lovely and i think it‘s great if you just want to enjoy a drink and enjoy the view at the beach 🌊 but i would not recommend to eat food there :/ we ordered tortilla and just got an omelette with some fries inside and a bland salad with no dressing (you could put some oil and vinegar on it from a little plastic package, but really this was so unsatisfying because it was so unseasoned) Maybe just a preference, but i didn‘t like it.

Well, I have nothing really to complain about but keep reading... I found my coffee with soy milk. After coffee, I felt like drinking Sangria. Sangria could be better. Sugar wasn't melted, and I got just some bites of fruit. I was expecting something better. The shop is right in front of the beach. Service ok, nothing exceptional, but nothing to don't like too. Good place for having coffee or snacks - sandwiches, croissants with fillings, etc. Highly recommend drinking Barraquito here, they make it how it should be! Restaurante Recuncho Celta, a Galician restaurant in El Medano, is highly recommended for its amazing seafood. With a welcoming and friendly staff, this establishment offers fresh fish that is truly worth trying. The menu includes delicious Spanish dishes such as paella, which can be enjoyed as a sharing plate for two. Visitors to El Medano should not miss out on the opportunity to taste the delectable cuisine at Restaurante Recuncho Celta.
Really REALLY good seafood dishes and beautifully presented. Just great. I don’t know what some of the other reviewers are looking at but this is some of the best seafood I’ve had. We had the fish of the day and a delicious rice dish followed by rice pudding. The cocktails and wine selection were perfect. The staff was quick and friendly and seemed like they enjoyed their coworkers. We will go back. The staff took special care of us, asking if we liked garlic (no) and how spicy we wanted it (very) and adjusted accordingly. They even pushed another table closer when they thought we could use more space. Wry impressed.

Fifth year in a row in this town this time of year and always avoided this place. Got stuck tonight with no reservation. Typical example of a restaurant that’s in a location where they don’t need to care about customers. 45 minutes from being seated to taking one single order. Only two people working front of house and they explained that they only serve one table at a time (there’s only 10 tables). Food was only ok when it arrived. Steak was good but sea bass had no meat on it. Asked for extra chips and they bring them 25 mins later when everything is done. Absolute joke of a place.

The staff were very pushy with their suggestions and unfriendly, the food incredibly over priced, pretentious and served with about four tiny potatoes the chef didn't even bother to peel and a salad what looked like the remainder of a chopping board scraped together. The fish it's self was ok nothing special, neither meriting it's price. Much better restaurants locally.
Tom C — Google review
Waiter aggressively tried to sell us the special fish or steak and when we instead ordered from the menu he was rude and dismissive. Food thrown in front of us. Very long wait for food. Croquetas were stodgy and tasted overpoweringly of nutmeg. Grilled squid was tough and tasteless, some bits inedible. Black rice was good though. Other diners clearly unhappy with food too. A place to avoid!!!
Hazel B — Google review
Food was rather mixed, Octopus and squid were excellent. Prawns were undercooked and needed to be returned for further cooking, Lamb was really just bones and no taste. Service was quite slow too. I personally wouldn't return

Day 2

Center of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Street Market La Tejita, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Cueva Del Hermano Pedro. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

1-story enclosed retail complex with an upscale feel, attracting locals for its cafes & boutiques.
Has everything as a tourist. Pictures and review from late 2022 A mini supermarket which has a deli and gorgeous fresh bread. If you haven't tried Pesto cheese then you have to try it. It was delicious with their serono ham, lettuce, artichoke hearts, butter and baguette. It has a Beauty salon where you can get a massage and nails done. It has an ice cream shop-with loads of choices, a clothes shop, (a hairdressers & mobile phone shop which I didn't attend) loads of restaurants and cafes with great views to choose from, parking and disabled parking and weather was 27°C so great for my bones and there was plenty of seating. Also they had public toilets.
Fran B — Google review
What to find here? A supermarket, a broker, some café bars, Indian restaurant, Chinese restaurant, clothe shop, icecream shop, mobile shop, laundromat, public toilet, an ATM machine, pedicure/manicure store and underneath a paid parking garage. On the outside you can still park free. The place is covered, but when it rains it will get wet.

Like all locations they are struggling to get all the units fully occupied, but what is there appears to be very good. We have used the supermarket and eaten at two of the venues so far and not been disappointed at all. Tuesday and Wednesday were a little quiet but when you get to know the place things come to life in the evening. Well worth a visit if you are looking for good food or local entertainment.

Montaña Roja, also known as the "Red Mountain," is a protected natural reserve located north of El Medano. Covering 152.7 hectares, this area is of great geological interest and features a kilometer-wide volcanic cone formed from an underwater eruption. Visitors can explore the mountain by climbing, hiking, or cycling and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The location also boasts a fossil dune along the seashore, adding to its unique appeal.
Very easy hike with beautiful views. Definitely worth doing. With a very little effort you will have an amazing view at El Medano and Playa la Tejita. The ascend takes around 40 minutes. There is free parking at the bottom. The trail is marked with signs.
Krzysiek F — Google review
This is a pretty easy little hike up to the top of Montana roja. There is a path that leads directly from the parking lot all the way up to the top. You can also sort of create your own if you choose, although there is a lot of loose gravel and footing so be careful. You can traverse down the backside towards the cliff but be careful.

Playa de Leocadio Machado, also known as Leocadio Machado Beach, is a popular spot in El Medano for water sports enthusiasts. Named after the poet and writer who found inspiration in the town, this beach offers volcanic sand and plenty of waves, making it ideal for kite surfing and wind surfing. While not recommended for swimming due to strong winds and waves, it's perfect for walking along the tightly packed sand.

Playa del Médano is a renowned beach in Tenerife, offering stunning views of the Montaña Roja volcano. It is a hotspot for windsurfing and kitesurfing due to its strong winds and expansive, east-facing coastline. The beach's clear waters, reliable waves, and sandy ocean floor make it popular among surf schools for beginners. Playa del Médano adjoins Playa de la Tejita and is known for its wild, untamed ambiance.

Playa de Montaña Roja is a stunning nature reserve covering 166 hectares, dominated by the 171-meter-high Montana Roja volcano. The area boasts reddish sands, dunes, and small saltwater ponds. It's a popular spot for windsurfing and kite surfing when the wind picks up. Visitors can enjoy walking along the beach to admire the impressive red mountain and watch the thrilling spectacle of surfers in action.
I love El Medano and the nature that comes with it. It can be nice and warm and occasionally the wind blows. That is when the windsurfers and kite surfers are in action. It is a colourful site to see. If YOU cannot change it do not complain/ write about it. Find a sheltered area and enjoy your holiday.

Cueva Del Hermano Pedro is the final destination of the Camino de Hermano Pedro, a peaceful and serene spot despite its proximity to the airport. The cave resembles monastery complexes in Bulgaria and offers a tranquil environment for prayer, meditation, or quiet contemplation. Visitors can also explore the beautiful natural surroundings and find souvenirs at the gift shop. It's a place of beauty, peace, and tranquility that comes highly recommended for those seeking a calming atmosphere amidst stunning nature.
Super peaceful spot considering it is located more or less at the end of the runway of the south airport. A place to pray, meditate or sit in quiet contemplation.

We walked from La Tejita (about an hour because we’re old!). Wonderful place to visit and the 2 ladies in the shop were SO helpful. We bought water there and they called a taxi to take us back. It is such a shame that the authorities decided to build the runway so close to it but it’s better than bulldozing it out of existence.

Hito 257 restaurant offers delectable, freshly prepared dishes that are beautifully presented and served. The portions are generous, providing excellent value for the price. They have a great selection of wines to complement your meal, and the atmosphere is both inviting and friendly. The staff is attentive and welcoming. From salads to beef sirloin, black rice to sea bass, every dish is delicious.
We had a couple of hours before we needed to be at the airport. We decided to come down to the beach and found the restaurant on our way. They had a great atmosphere with music and nice smelling food. We stayed for a while and it was the perfect end to our vacation. The food and the drink were great, the service fast and friendly and prices quite fair. Would definitely recommend.

Impeccable. Amazing views, excellent service and incredible food. Walter and co are a testament to what hospitality should be, we've very high standards (both hospitality backgrounds) and were so impressed by the quality of food and service here. Highly recommend the Gambas Ajillo (be sure to get the Pane Cristal for the oil) any of the sharing starters, the Lobster Paella and the Sangria Y Cava, amongst the multitude of dishes we ordered.

The best dining experience we had in El Médano, hands down. Lovely views, friendly staff, and by far the freshest, most delicious fish we tasted during our stay. It’s probably less popular because it’s located inside a hotel — but it’s open to everyone, and absolutely worth a visit.

Asian restaurant
The food at Restaurante Asian in Tenerife was surprisingly authentic and highly recommended for those who enjoy Asian cuisine. The menu included a variety of dishes such as Tom Yum soup, won ton soup, Pah Thai, Thai fried rice, spring rolls, Pekin Duck with pancakes, and sushi. Many diners felt that the quality of the food surpassed that of some restaurants in London. The prices were reasonable and the service was good overall.

Didn't expect the food to be so authentic here in Tenerife. We are Asian and fussy when it comes to Asian food but absolutely recommend this restaurant. We had ordered Tom Yum soup, won ton soup, Pah Thai, Thai fried rice, spring roll, Pekin Duck with pancakes, and some sushi. It's better than some of the London restaurants. Very reasonable price and good service. It was a little hot due to no air-conditioning. Four of us love it. Thank you

I came across this restaurant completely by chance – and what an incredible find! In my opinion, it is one of the finest places for Thai and oriental cuisine that I have ever experienced. The service is exceptionally kind and courteous, with a high level of professionalism. Every dish is fresh, full of flavor and aroma. Even after living in London for 8 years, I never had the opportunity to taste beef of such quality – it simply melts in your mouth. It’s a shame that only 5 stars can be given. Truly a must-stop on any culinary journey through Tenerife.
Roman K — Google review
Ordered a selection of things from the menu to eat in the restaurant and sushi to take home. Sushi was great. But the other food was overly deep fried without taste. Looked pretty ashame the taste didn't match with the main food. Also they had these weird upright fans which looked interesting but didn't cool you down so I used my Chinese paper fan I always carry in my handbag. My takeaway in the UK Madeley Tang's Dynasty has way more tastier food unfortunately. But I did go back for more Sushi. The sushi was great. I got taught how to make sushi from my Japanese friends. Only thing was they didn't fan the sushi after mixing the rice vinegar in the rice to make it go shiny so basically it was excellent as that was my only problem with with the sushi. Again Sushi was perfectly cooked-delicious.

This bar restaurant, Fenix Restaurante, is highly regarded for its delightful non-alcoholic beverages such as the love potion and fenix in paradise. Additionally, themed nights are truly remarkable and their burlesque evening once a month garners significant attention; therefore making reservations ahead of time is strongly recommended.

One of the most favorite beaches in the South of the island. Never have a problem with parking here. The only thing is that I use them only in windless weather. Because when the wind is strong, this beach will not bring you much pleasure.

DELICIOUS! I stayed at the hotel Arenas and heard this fish restaurant was very good - I was not disappointed. I was made to feel very welcome, the service was excellent and I was informed what was not available on the menu straight away without prompt, which I really appreciated. I was served with great attention to detail, even the green salad was served and dressed in front of me and was probably one of the tastiest I’ve ever had. I had the grilled wahoo fish (a “blue fish special”), the red tuna special sirloin ended on ember, and the volcanic fried in butter bread with lemon peel ice cream. The local dry white white was lip smackingly good. What a way to spend my last night in the area. So so good, and great value even if I didn’t get a discount for staying at the hotel - I’d expect to pay at least double in London for such fresh food and lovely ambience.

Staying at the hotel next door and fancied a trip to this restaurant, and glad we did the food is amazing and tasty, everything we had from the bread and spreads to the red fin tuna sirloin it was all amazing, One thing I will say is it is all mainly tuna related or sea food but if you like that then this is the place for you it's perfect ans tasty, but if your like me and is not a great fan of fish they do have okelan sirloin and lion which is a specialised beef steak and is amazing rare/blue, Also had a lovely bottel of rosè to accompany all of this and the service was friendly and perfect, thank you ❤️

Monica the wait person is exceptional. Her knowledge, wine and customer service is amazing. The staff is fantastic and very skilled. The chef is a genius! Some of the best food we’ve eaten - the degustation menu is sublime and must be requested on booking.

The staff were friendly, they helped us about the portion of the foods. Also the food was good. But not that much amazing like what the other reviewer said. The octopus was my first time I was eating, so it was the best I've ever had😁😁. I recommend to prder bread as well. Because it comes with 3 different cheeses.

Takeout Restaurant
Restaurante Barrio Cabezo is a popular spot in El Medano, known for its homemade pastas, burgers, and cocktails. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and great service. Customers praise the delicious food, reasonable prices, and the friendly yet professional staff.
Was on holiday and went to this restaurant. It was lovely and the staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. Wen we come back this year we be going back here for some more top food 😋 👌 💯👍
Tony S — Google review
Good Italian food, in no frills ambiance with IKEA meets Lidl esthetics The food is solid but not fancy, just what we needed after a long day at the beach The entrecôte we ordered was nothing special, but it was a lot and it was well seasoned. Would have loved to see some more of the cherry tomatoes (I counted 3x) and eggplant (counted 4x of which one burned) that were listed as accompanying the beef — surprisingly the waitress did not ask us if we wanted to sides Which we would have ordered if we had given it two seconds more thought But again, we were hungry and the plate was large and full They made a special kiddo pasta for our little one which they devoured, and the staff was kind and warm in that lovely Italian way—with the owner floating around the restaurant and making friends with everyone The thing with this place is to expect simple homecooked Italian food and not much else The latter also holds for the ambiance. Its bright lights, Bob Marley covers played just a little too loud (and obviously in a battle of the eardrums with the kitchen which prefers 90’s pop rock), and a random melee of items that could have been bought at the Lidl or Aldi, think plastic plants and watering can to water said plastic 💐💐💐 Service was quick and non-presumptuous, what you see is what you get at Barrio Cabezo and for 55euros we went home pleased

We've been told by locals to go there for the fresh pasta. I normally don't order macncheese/ creamy type pasta dishes. I did this time, and my partner had the Ravioli. Both dishes were very tasty and the pasta was indeed fresh. It's a simple place and they seem do do their own thing there. It took quite a long time to get the food, but at least it was homemade and delicious. The Rosé wine was very dark and didn't taste that great. So perhaps update the wine list? All in all, it was a good experience and would come back for the pasta and perhaps order Rioja instead.

One of the two best places that we ate at during our stay in Tenerife!!🫶 A relaxed place with amazing food and super friendly staff. The Tuna Tataki, the mixed seafood plater and the tiramisu is a must to try, (though the pasta was amazing as well)! Yep, we visited more than once😉 Thanks so much for having us! Food cooked with love and a 5 star for us!

Really fantastic food, excellent pasta and honestly the best Pinsa we have ever had. Moreover lovely people makes this place high level vibes :) Top recommendation!
Yossarian M — Google review
Lovely, friendly and personable chef. Delightful food (particularly recommend the eggplant parmesan, out of this world!) Raviolis were homemade and fresh, particularly good was the mushroom, truffle and ricotta ravioli. Tiramisu for desert was excellent as well, and the table red wine was robust and flavorful. Delightful local and canarian italian food. Highly recommend!
Suzanne S — Google review
Good place, Serrano/burrata and bresaola carpaccio starters were great. Mum had the king prawn tagliatelle house special which didn't have much prawn but the truffle ravioli was fantastic. I also promised my kids pizza and mixed the places up so these guys were fantastic and let us order (& have at the table) a pizza from the place immediately next door which they didn't need to do and was super sweet.
Danielle B — Google review
Good and fresh food. Kind waiter and the food arrived quite quickly. There were some books, which my mother loved. The ravioli was 7/10 (bit small portion for me but I usually eat a lot). The entrecôte was really good my parents said, as well as the black potatoes. When we arrived, the waiter used a lot of cleaning spray to wipe the tables. That was unfortunate since it smelled really strongly.

Mirador de Montaña Roja offers a stunning view of the area, especially during low tide when people search for scallops among the rocks. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy with friends, perhaps with a cold beer in hand. The old fishing boat station and nearby cafes and restaurants add to the charm of this place. Additionally, it's known for its naturist beach and pure natural surroundings. While reaching the top may require some effort, the spectacular views make it worthwhile.
Hard work getting to the top, but the views are spectacular.

Carl K — Google review
One of my top choices for pizza in El Medano. The staff here was quite friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu and advice for what to order. The service was incredibly fast for our takeout order. It was seriously like five minutes from when we placed the order to when delicious aromas from two boxes of piping hot pizzas were in it hands and we were walking out the door. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly baked, with a great crust. Wife couldn't not eat long enough for me to take a picture, hence why hers is almost half gone.

The best pizza in El Medano and one of the best in my life so far. It was done how I like with burned edged and a lot of taste. Not only pizza but also their olive oil is delicious. We had table for 6 and we're enjoying that evening - this place is made for moments like that. Before going out we were offered a nice shot of liqueur. Nice of you!

Indisputably the best pizzas in El Médano. A beautifully decorated, well-located cozy restaurant that shines through every dish made by master chef Daniel, Betty’s unparalleled service, and run by Diego’s unique Italian touch. Worth adding that this is the only place where I actually eat my pizza crusts. Thank you for the perfect Italian experience every time ❤️‍🔥

Recommended for great pizza! Accommodated our family of 5, short wait for fresh pizza and we loved it! Thin pizza with crispy edges and lots of toppings to choose from. Comfortable seating off the street and out of the strong wind/sand. Easy to find. Recommended!

The restaurant is amazing, however, not best suited for those who don't have time to sit there for hours. It's quite busy, and it may take a long time before they finally get to you taking the food orders.

Enxebre is a delightful local eatery with an inviting atmosphere. The cuisine offered is both traditional and innovative, showcasing a variety of regional delicacies as well as unique, delectable creations. The staff members are extremely pleasant and go above and beyond to provide detailed explanations about each dish. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the excellent quality of the food. The seafood options are particularly noteworthy, boasting incredibly fresh flavors that tantalize the taste buds.
We’ve been there two times, food is excellent. I liked the oxtail stew and the squid in their own ink.

Such a great place. Interior isn't something that will attract you but the food is so great that you will want to keep coming back! We had some fresh fish, salmon and turbot and both were amazing in their own ways. You get some paprika and sweet potato puree on the side, but we ordered additional salad because we haven't been eating healthy up until this point. Additionally, espresso was delicious and just what I needed after this meal. I would honestly recommend this place to anyone going through El Medano! :)
Saša B — Google review
First of all, absolutely incredible waiter. Truly exceptional. You do not meet such waiters often. I don’t eat meat and fish, so options at the restaurants here are usually limited. He recommended great options for me, and even adjusted the portions for the “level of hunger”. Food was delicious! I went for spanish omelette, cheese croquettes and aubergine toast. This was the best toast I’ve ever eaten and best dish with aubergine ever, too (and I’m not the huge fan of this vegetable). The waiter told some stories about traditions in Galicia (Queimada), which made the whole experience even more special, interesting and memorable. I really enjoyed it here and would recommend to everyone!
Beata Š — Google review
We visited this place several times. The food is very tasty. We didn’t even get in once because everything was in reserve. We took this point into account and only go with a reserve. I recommend this place because it’s difficult to find good Spanish cuisine in Tenerife. We liked it here that's all. The place is not very attractive, but this does not affect the food. I recommend
Tenerifigo E — Google review
We dined there three times throughout our trip as we like the food so much! Fresh ingredients were used and service was excellent! We had clams, cod fillets, pork cheek, octopus etc…nothing we didn’t like and the price was very reasonable.
Maggie Y — Google review
Seafood is very fresh and flavorful. * Scallop - super tasty. Please order! * Grilled squids - so fresh and full of flavor. Must try! * Pig ears - I don’t quite like it. The skin was cooked a little too soft for my taste, I would prefer it a little more crunchy. Service was good and friendly. Total for 3 dishes above was 31 euros (rounded up)
Nguyen T — Google review
The food is proper Galician and Canaria tapas. Really good and handmade quality. The pig ear is special... Maybe fried is better? Snails are good! The cheesecake is great as well. Real local place but they speak English. Weekends. Open till 11:30 pm and weekdays until 10:30 pm. Very Central location at a nice square

Very nice place with great, friendly service. If you're looking for something a little bit different from traditional Canarian dishes you should try Enxebre. They have good starters and lunches. At the end of our visit we received a shot of home made alcohol. Very strong and very good!

Lovely cafe bar in the Red Square that I visited on several occasions during my recent holiday in El Medano. The atmoshere and great music was really appreciated. Looking for a cozy and friendly bar/restaurant to have a typical El Médano barraquito we decided on this lovely bar/pizzeria/restaurant. And we weren’t disappointed. Beautifully made barraquito, tasty brownies. We stayed for seafood pasta, enjoyed a good glass of dry white wine and Estrella draft beer. We returned twice for pizza, pasta and just drinks. The place is frequented by locals, a few tourists and friends of the proprietors. If you are friendly, you will be treated with much love.
