We walked up Citadel Hill (Chiesa di San Paolo) and reached St Grancis Exedra with great views over the town and surrounding valley. It is not quite clear what you are seeing unless you do pre research. It was well worth the climb although it would be difficult if you have mobility issues. However lovely little Italian shops including a tasty Gelato shop near the very friendly Visitor Information Centre.
