Shopping mall
Discover a delightful shopping experience at Bow Street Mall, where you can immerse yourself in a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Spend a leisurely 2-3 hours exploring the diverse offerings and indulging in some retail therapy.
It has a long time since I’ve been in Bow Street Mall. Like a lot of Mall’s it has lost a lot of its Anchor Tenants. Yet it still manages to be a very pleasant environment with a decent range of Retail Outlets and Cafes, hopefully it can build on this for the future.

Not good. Full of empty shops which brings the whole look and feel of the place down. Most of the shops that are there are overpriced and cheap products. Plenty of parking available. Toilets are a trek to get to being upstairs at the back of the food court. Food court is complete empty. Such a waste of space.
Mrs Q — Google review
Half empty. Very sad. Right in the city centre. Can't believe it. However, the stores that are there give good choice.
Michael O — Google review
it is a nice place and is a great social location but i feel like there needs to be more shops, with a wider variety other then groceries and clothes.
Jackson S — Google review
The fact you’re allowed to vape inside the mall is insane. You have people who are pregnant, young kids and people with breathing problems which vaping is bad for. This needs to stop inside the mall as it’s still a smoking product and can still cause harm. Not allowed to smoke, shouldn’t be allowed to vape, I don’t want to shop and have to smell someone’s second hand vape juice.
Laura A — Google review
This was one of the best shopping centres about for many years. Sadly no more food hall upstairs is gone and hardly a shop open down the back part of the Mall.
Rodney G — Google review
Noisy, various music emanating from different shops clashing with an overall background music source. One to avoid, unless you are wearing ear defenders.
Robert C — Google review
Range of stores including TK Maxx, Pound World, Primark, Dunnes, Menarys (now with Bob and berts cafe) Marks & Spencer Food hall and many others. Several Coffee shops throughout and food hall upstairs. Parking reasonable price on site.

Shopping
Lisburn Square is a local hub with a variety of businesses, from barber shops to eateries like crepe cafes and Subway. The shopping experience in Lisburn Square is enjoyable, with a good range of shops on the main street. The area has potential for bars, restaurants, and other establishments to thrive. It offers clean underground multi-storey car parking with easy access to the square. However, there are some empty units in Bow Street Mall that need filling.
I like this town square. For such a small place they put in 110% of effort during a festive season to make it warming to everyone.
John D — Google review
Quite an enjoyable shopping experience in Lisburn. No emty storefronts and a good range of shops on the main street. Unfortunately The Bow Street Mall is a shadow of its former self and could do with a push to find businessess to fill the several empty units. A pet peeve is their posters that include KFC as being on-site and they vacated the mall some time ago. One gets the impression there is a lack of interest in maintaining the mall, which is a real shame.
Gareth — Google review
Great underground multi-storey car parking, with lifts up to Lisburn Square. At last Lisburn Square is being updated with the times. It has so much potential for bars, restaurants and all types of establishments to thrive, with such a large population in the City. More night life is much needed.

Lovely area to sit, eat and watch the world go by. As I was sitting there was a large screen up where they were showing a Disney movie! Great idea to entertain the kids during the summer holidays. Well done 👍✅🎥🍿

Leisure center
Lagan Valley LeisurePlex is an excellent destination for quality family time, offering a range of water activities suitable for various swimming abilities. The facility is well-staffed with attentive lifeguards, ensuring a safe environment for everyone. Despite its popularity, there is ample space available to accommodate visitors comfortably. Pre-booking online eliminates any entry hassles, and each session lasts around 90 minutes, providing ample enjoyment. The children especially adored the thrilling 'crazy' River feature.
First time at the Leisureplex in around 8 years, and still lots of fun. Youngest daughter loved all of the slides, aside from getting stuck in one and being unceremoniously dumped out of her tube - no harm done (other than pride hurt) and she had a blast. Plenty of changing rooms and the family changing rooms, although a tad small for a family of 4 (or more), were clean and adequate. Slides, water park area for the young ones, jacuzzi, seated bubble area, and of course, the flowing river. Great time had effortlessly floating around and around! Dining at Sinnamon Coffee - staff were very friendly and the dining/seating area was clean, food was tasty, freshly made and hot! Great way to keep the children entertained for a couple of hours.
Andrew C — Google review
We went to a toddler session, it was great, our son loved the lazy river and all the water jets etc, plus little slides and flume. Huge family changing area (bring 20p coins) too. Loses a mark as there is quite a bit of chewing gum stuck to the floors of the swimming pool areas - this really needs to be cleaned off and bins provided.
Russell G — Google review
Excellent Leisure plex. We used the Leisure slides loads of fun for all ages. The inflatables were being set up when we were leaving but looked like great fun too
Deborah M — Google review
Great swimming pool! Lots to do with all the slides. The hot tub was a little cold but overall a great place to swim!
Sophie R — Google review
It is a great place to spend a few hours with the family. There are water activities for all levels of swimming. It is well staffed with life guards, and although it is usually busy, there is enough room for e everyone. We booked online, so there was no problem getting in. The sessions last for about an hour and a half. Good fun!
Michelle B — Google review
Good spot with the slides, lazy river and the kids water play area! It’s great for the older and younger ones. Always a fun time here ! Make sure to book in advance to get spaces as it’s popular. I Definitely recommend here

The worst online booking system for Tumble in the Jungle. 2 consecutive days being on the phone waiting for the online booking to open at 9.30am on and off to refresh page before the designated time and guess what? Every single slot for required dates gone as the online opens. Can’t even book over the phone.
Andrea B — Google review
Was brilliant very good value for money & a lot cheaper than other places Ive visited. My nephew & niece both lived the lazy river & the slides

Nestled in the heart of Lisburn, Lisburn Castle Gardens is a historic gem that dates back to the 17th century. This enchanting garden area boasts meticulously manicured greenery, charming monuments, and fascinating artifacts that tell stories of the past. As one of Northern Ireland's oldest surviving gardens, it offers a serene escape for leisurely walks or delightful picnics amidst its beautifully landscaped grounds. Visitors can immerse themselves in nature while exploring old statues that commemorate significant historical figures.
A lovely dander round the Christmas lights. Very Christmassy and the kids loved it. Doesn't take long but it is free and there are some nice stalls selling pizza, marshmallows, coffee and buns etc.

✨ We had such a magical time wandering through the light trail in Castle Gardens! The display was absolutely stunning – so many beautiful sights that really brought the Christmas spirit to life. 🎄 The live music added a lovely atmosphere, and the mini Christmas Market was full of charming little stalls. The highlight for the kids was definitely Santa’s Grotto – such a warm and joyful experience! 🎅 Highly recommend a visit if you’re looking for some festive cheer this season. Can’t wait to go back next year!

Free entry. Very pretty. Doesn't take too long to walk around. Long queues for rides and crêpe. Don't forget to look up to see the night laser display. Can park on the road if you can find a space. Otherwise there is a car park.

Great food for their Christmas parties. Service was excellent and we didn’t want for anything. Having to pay cash for drinks downstairs and bets is a pain though. Needs lights to show you where to drive to as we were all over the place trying to find the entrance. A different night out for sure

Just back from a night at drumbo with a large group. From the start we couldn't fault the hospitality we received including our server leonnie, the food was first class and not to mention the 2 guys who took our bets! Tables 25/28 would certainly recommend this to anyone!

Lovely cafe, friendly staff, reasonable prices and the food was very tasty! Not sure why we've never been before. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I visited this morning with our little dog Bailey as we had seen online that it is dog friendly. I had sourdough and scrambled eggs while my husband had the large grill. The food was delicious and Bailey was provided with water and a treat (they asked my permission first which I really appreciated). We will definitely be back!
Lynda B — Google review
I think this place isn’t too bad. The food was nice, I got a sausage bap and it was good value. Unfortunately I was a little put off by the cleanliness. The curtains were dirty. Crumbs everywhere. And the table we sat at was sticky, like syrup or something had been spilled. It wouldn’t put me off going back I liked the idea of dogs being allowed in as a dog lover myself! Just a note on cleanliness.

1st time visiting and I will definitely be back. We went for the breakfast menu and it was beautiful, probably one of the, if not thee nicest breakfasts ive ever had. The staff are so lovely, really friendly. It was my birthday and as we were about to leave they brought me out a piece of Victoria sponge with a candle in it and played happy birthday, I was so touched, such a lovely gesture and the Victoria sponge comes into a league of its own, it was perfect. Thanks so much guys and have to say the tray bakes we brought home were amazing as well. Hope to see you again soon.

Popular cafe in Lisburn that serves good wholesome breakfasts and lunches. They have lovely sandwiches, cakes, desserts and homemade scones that go well with one of their cappuccinos. They do home delivery of Sunday breakfasts. The cafe has toilet facilities.

The food is like a deli all sitting already cooked. I asked for the curry on the side was offered to get it separate I said no it’s fine just put it on the side again! Would have cost less in my deli
Hazel F — Google review
Staff are friendly but the food is nothing special. Went in for breakfast. Food is cooked in large batches and kept warm behind a counter where you select what items you want. Would much rather eat something that is cooked to order.
M F — Google review
Nobody greeted us, seated us, or informed us of what to do upon entering. Waited in a que and was not told what to do or where to go if you just wanted to order off the menu. Food was average, and staff seemed to ignore us for the most part. The finished plates and cups were never taken away for the whole time we were there, which was inexcusable considering how it wasn't busy.
Michael W — Google review
My dad and I had breakfast here on Bank Holiday Monday. It's very reasonably priced at £6 for a 6 piece cooked breakfast but everything is drowning in oil so that's all you can really taste. They batch cook ahead of time, which is fine, loads of places do that, but the food is so greasy. I got a pancake with my breakfast that was so hard that I couldn't physically cut it with my knife, I had to break it into bite sized pieces with my hand!! Had a fried egg that had oil just sitting on it and running onto the plate, so I used my napkins to mop up the grease so I could eat it. Staff are lovely though, and the coffee was nice. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back for breakfast. We paid £17 for 2 six piece fries and 2 Americano coffees.

Such a lovely wee spot for lunch when you're in town. The staff are so friendly and kind. I've witnessed a real care for the elderly on a few occasions that I've been there and it's lovely to see. Steak house
Restaurant
Del Toro is a steakhouse known for its exceptional chargrill steaks, which are made from locally sourced and aged Northern Irish beef. The restaurant boasts stylish candle-lit interiors and a terrace for dining. Del Toro's chefs prioritize quality by using fresh, local ingredients in their dishes. They take pride in their 28-day aging process to ensure tenderness in their cuts of steak. These steaks are then seasoned with a unique blend of spices that give them the restaurant's distinctive flavor.
A group of 12 had a Christmas feed here. Service was great and the food was so good. We all got the sharing platter which was sensational. Everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The ribs and chicken wings are fantastic. Great value for the amount of food you get. All washed down with beers and cocktails. You have to try the platter!!!

Staff are nice and friendly 10/10. Food taste i would rate 7.5/10. Portion 9:10. Cleanliness of place 8/10. Only downside to our visit is that we were only told that their card machine is not working when were paying so need to get money from the cash machine which is close to the restaurant but charges £1.99 per transaction. I know this might put off costumers if they told beforehand but its not a good to know either to know this when paying.

Quite disappointed after recent visit. From a decent restaurant with very good reviews to a diner style. Music played is pop style so if you're looking to chill- forget about it. Food is okay, again standard dropped. Service at the table is terrible. Main arrived in delayed stages and desert arrived without coffee we ordered. For starters chicken wings are fine, ribs are okay, garlic bread crunchy. Signature burger for main is pathetic in size. Lettuce and tomato in the burger looked like slapped inside by accident. Chunky chips are not nice, more like cardboard. The only nice thing from the menu was a steak. I asked for medium and it was actually medium, vegetables were aldente and onions nicely fried. For dessert we got chocolate brownies which were so sweet that we had difficulty to finish. Over all disappointed. You can go if you're looking for a diner experience

I went in to this restaurant last Sunday and I was full of expectations and turn-out to be a disappointment experience. I askef for chicken wings they didn't have it and I ask for prawns they didn't have and I just settle for pizza but, the customer service was absolutely amazing will I go back again? I don't no, will I recommend it to someone I,m not sure.

Ben S — Google review
While the staff were friendly and pleasant, the menu is very basic and limited for a steak house and the portion size and quality very poor for what are high prices for a ‘chain’ style restaurant. Also, no herbal teas at all available. Burger was small and incredibly basic. Friendly staff who do their best but overpriced food.

Beautiful place to walk, especially for dogs, coffee shop on site, and meeting some lovely people on walk. Wheelchair accessible. I just took 1 star off for the toilets. They are absolutely stinking, the smell is so bad it made me heave, at 10am 😢 Ladydixon toilets are always cleaned 1st thing every morning. Maybe be great if they could get a good scrub with beach. As it's a wonderful park.
Angela G — Google review
Wallace Park in Lisburn is an absolute treasure! It's a truly wonderful spot for families, offering vast green spaces perfect for a stroll, a picnic, or letting the kids burn off some energy. The play park itself is fantastic, boasting a great range of equipment that keeps children happily entertained for hours. It's clear a lot of thought has gone into making this a vibrant and welcoming community space. However, it's a real pity that the toilets at the play park are consistently in a disgraceful state. This really lets down an otherwise brilliant facility and detracts from the overall positive experience. Regular cleaning and maintenance are desperately needed to bring them up to the same excellent standard as the rest of the park. Despite the issue with the toilets, Wallace Park remains a highly recommended destination for its beautiful surroundings and superb play facilities. We always enjoy our visits and look forward to the day the toilet facilities reflect the quality of the rest of this lovely park.

Thoroughly enjoyed it,we had our granddaughter with us & she just loved it.The weather was perfect, sun shining & we came on the train.Great place for children, great to have toilets closed by.Next time we'll bring a picnic 👍
Irene P — Google review
The play area is nice for kids, but the number of play equipment is quite limited compared to the number of children. Many kids end up waiting in queues for their turn, and unfortunately, some of the equipment is broken. The duck pond is lovely, and children really enjoy spending time watching and feeding the ducks. However, the gym equipment for adults is also limited. I hope the authorities will give special attention to improving the children’s play area.

Really lovely park. Doesn't take a long time to walk around. We had our dog with us and plenty of space to run around. Has football pitches and a play park for children. Also toilets on site and a coffee truck.

Lovely park grounds and great play park. Lots of baby ducks at the pond. Lost 2 stars for the state of the toilets. The stench coming from them even just walking past is disgusting. Nice dog friendly coffee shop which is fairly new. Dogs loved their puppachino and the coffee was great too!

The Island Arts Centre, located at Lagan Valley Island, is a vibrant cultural hub that offers a 100-seat theater for live performances and a variety of educational workshops in the arts. It also provides space for exhibitions and serves as an ideal venue for both small-scale shows in the Studio Theatre and larger productions in the 400-seater Performance Hall. While some visitors express disappointment over the absence of dining facilities, they praise the well-maintained grounds and friendly usher at the entrance.
lovely walk along Lagan Towpath offers walkers a scenic journey along the river and canal system, winding through wetlands, riverside meadows, and diverse woodlands from lisburn to belfast.

Easy to get to and parking on site. They have a bar for refreshments. I've been several times now and they have great shows. I docked one star because I'm a tall man at 6' 2" and I find the legroom in the seats very restrictive.

Much more going on in this museum than I imagined. Up close and personal with the looms was a great experience.

Fabulous interactive history of Irish Linen! I loved being told and shown by the lovely friendly staff about the exhibits.

Excellent place to visit to find out about the history of the Irish linen industry from the very start. Donna explained the construction and operation of a loom in great detail as well as demonstrating the skill of weaving. She was fascinating to listen to and so knowledgeable. We spent 2 hours there and enjoyed every minute.

Visited the museum last week and found an Egyptian Exhibition was on ,very interesting and well laid out . The Linen displays were well laid out with a full documented history of mills in the area. There was working looms and card cutting which the young lady described and gave us a demonstration of how they worked

A nice museum with exhibitions showing the history of Lisburn and also everything related to linen manufacturing starting from the flax plant and ending with the finished products, with live demonstrations by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Free admissions and well worth a visit with your family.

Brought two separate groups of adults with disabilities to the exhibitions at the Linen Museum on Monday and Tuesday. We booked a free tour& workshop for both days and were shown around by Angus and Olivia. Both staff members connected so well with our group and we were made to feel so welcome. Angus and Olivia were so knowledgable about the history of Linen in Lisburn/Northern Ireland. Our participants had a wonderful time. We look forward to booking another tour with you very soon. Thank you!!

Spruce Meadows is a fantastic place for kids' birthday parties, offering a wide range of activities suitable for various age groups. From bouncy castles to barrel rides, feeding and petting animals, quad bike rides with limited speed, and reptile handling, there's something for everyone. The staff are welcoming and great with the kids, ensuring they stay entertained throughout the visit. The farm may be quieter and smaller than others, but it boasts an impressive reptile house and friendly animals.
Had my sons 7th birthday here today and I have to say David and Logan who were taking us around were so welcoming and great with the kids. Always keeping them entertained and there was so much to do! From reptile handling to bouncy castle, barrel rides and feeding the animals. The kids most enjoyed the mini quads and the rodeo bull! The food provided as part of the party package went down and treat and was good portion sizes. Everyone said they had a ball! Thanks for having us!

I enjoyed my day at spruce meadows. The reptile house is impressive, and there is lots of different activities to participate in. It's alot quieter and smaller than other farms which I enjoyed. There isn't a whole lot of animals but the ones there are very friendly. A good day out !

The Ulster Aviation Society, located in a historic hangar at a former RAF base, is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts and families alike. With over 30 meticulously restored aircraft on display, including planes from World War II, commercial aircraft, and helicopters, the museum offers an immersive experience. The society operates as a charity organization and relies on donations to maintain its collection. Visitors can pre-book tours to explore the exhibits led by knowledgeable guides who are passionate about aviation history.
Amazing history hidden in this place. Real treasure trove of information and amazing selection of physical items from WW2. That's before you see the aircraft collection. You can sit in helicopters , jets ,so forth. Some of these aircraft have been in use and arent dupilcates. The size of these aircraft and the stories behind them, told by the amazing guides , is fascinating . Information about the belfast blitz and lots more history. This place should be a museum at the front and centre of northern ireland tourism but it cannot be so because of certain advertising restrictions. This place is a must go. Also there is meta quest vr with thrustmaster simulators ,and xbox so the kids can fly the aircraft they just sat in.
Niall L — Google review
What can I say! Amazing! Stephen, one of the volunteers, showed us around and was able to give so much detail on all of the aircraft in the two massive hangars! From getting to sit in an RAF Tornado, to sitting in a Red Arrow!!! this place had it all. It’s amazing that all of the aircraft and restoration work is funded by the members, volunteers, and donations. To top it all off, there are flight simulators and VR headsets and I personally really enjoyed getting to fly a Red Arrow over Belfast on these! Great afternoon out - will definitely be back again.
Matthew D — Google review
Fantastic venue with some amazing aircraft on show! Most definitely worth the trip down, more so on thier open weekend! Plenty for everyone to see and do, kids will be entertained for hours. The open weekend did have food and drink vendors on site but I'd say this was just for the weekend. If you visit at a different time, be sure to take a flask for picnic. Well done to everyone involved for 2025 open weekend, very well organised and helpful volunteers on site.

Amazing place to learn the history with evidence. It's worth for kids of any age who are interested in flights, aviation, and history from the 1930s until today. Rare models are displayed. Fantastic guided tour by Robin, a nice gentleman explaining everything with amazing humour. Really appreciated.

We went here as we thought it would make for a nice wee day out and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide Ray was fantastic and very passionate and knowledgeable and the collection of aircrafts was impressive. The fact everyone here are volunteers is a real testament to the commitment they have. I cannot recommend visiting enough it was a very good time.

In my opinion, the Ulster Aviation Society is one of the best museums Northern Ireland has to offer. There’s so much to see, from historic aircraft and helicopters to fascinating exhibits, plus a VR zone and flight simulator that make the experience even more engaging. The planes are really well maintained and in great condition, which makes walking around them even more impressive. There’s plenty to explore, and the staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions. A brilliant visit for anyone interested in history, aviation, or just looking for something unique to do.
SC M — Google review
First time visit on Saturday past at 11am. Ended up was just myself with the guide Nick. I found the hangers to be an absolutely fantastic facility with tonnes more artifacts and planes than I had imagined there to be. Defo needs a repeat visit (or 5??) to see everything. Must mention how good Nick was as a guide - very knowledgeable and passionate about aviation with bucketloads of great stories from his past (and future, maybe fly a spitfire at some point???) It is free entry but a donation is a no-brainer when you see how good the facility and guides are.

The whole museum is very interesting. Both planes and helicopters with steps to view the cockpits and knowledgeable staff with interesting facts makes this place a worthwhile visit.

Simply Fish & Chips is a beloved spot in Lisburn, known for its friendly staff and delicious offerings. While the sit-in area may not always be fully available, the food is served with care, reminiscent of a takeout experience. Diners rave about the generous portions and reasonable prices, making it an excellent value for money. The menu features favorites like fish suppers and salted chili chicken, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Good food, good portion and a reasonable price. I got a fish supper and the wife got the salted chilli chicken. I found the shop a bit cold due to the ventilation (on a cold January day) but staff were friendly and the shop was clean. Would try again.

Have had food from here before which was very nice. I don’t know what has happened.,Spent over £30 on a takeaway and it was really bad. Fish was very small and thin and mostly batter and chips were hard and inedible. Dint think I’ll be buying from here again.
Linda W — Google review
Have been buying from here a while can't fault the staff also couldn't fault the food but over last month or 2 there definitely has been a drop in quality things missing from orders and portions getting smaller etc ordered tonight and recieved a fish supper with what I could only describe as a battered gold fish I actually rang through to check there hadn't been a mistake , tiny fish and what was worse it turned out to be mostly batter making it even smaller again and a small amount of chips 🤷‍♂️. I will try again as everywhere can have an off night but for what it cost and what was delivered there is something wrong .

Came in for sit in, when we arrived it wasn't particularly busy, our order was took & that was okay. Then it started to get busy, we waited over 50 minutes for our food. The take away people kept getting their food but the sit ins didn't. A table next to us, which was in first they left as their order hadn't Even been started. Then tables which came in after us were being served. We didn't even get as much as an apology for the wait, even though we brought it to their attention. They said it wasn't their fault. We felt the staff to be very rude. I dont think i will return

Well !! On New Year’s Day before the nightmare of dismantling the Christmas decorations we decided to get just a bag of chips and tho -simple, they were 9/10 but lost a point because NEXT to NO salt or vinegar on the chips (yes we did ask for it) but fast forward to Saturday night the 4/1/25 and tonight’s main event was gonna be a fish supper !! And things went rapidly downhill from there, the chips were JUST cooked and I mean any less time in the fryer and they’d have still been singing 🎶 oooh Danny Booooy🎶 and the fish was a greasy as ??? Well I don’t know how greasy it was but it was rank, I think possibly my bowels are considering using the emergency dump setting usually reserved for Mexican food ?? So it’ll be a cold day in hell before I make this mistake again.

Tremendous. Had the sausage supper lunchtime special. Comes with a can and a sauce. At £7.50 this is excellent value. Staff are friendly, efficient and down to earth. I sat in but you can get takeaway too. They take card and cash. They seem to have their regular customers, which makes sense given how good the food is. Clean chip shop with very good food. Highly recommended. I will be back soon!

Staff are very friendly. The food is what you would expect from a good Chippy. The portion sizes are amazing... The prices are responsible too. The Kebab on Chip is HUGE!!! Well worth it.

Absolutely disgusted at the fish that was sent out virtually non existent apart from a mountain of batter. I called to make a complaint and the lady offered to replace the fish but it would be at least an hour When qizzed about having a fish delivered at least an hour after our chips (absolutely missing the point) she abruptly tells me she doesn't get paid enough to take this abuse (no abuse was given by me) she obviously is only paid enough to ok/dispatch sub standard food The Galley used to be good maybe spend more on supplies and a little less on a refits and you would have kept at least 2 loyal customers. We would rather go hungry than order again from here.

He said that it was the best burger he'd had out of a takeaway for a long time... My chips where nice too... Definitely go back... You can alwo pay by card or cash. Plus online ordering. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nestled in Lisburn, The Cardan Bar & Grill is a modern and inviting spot that beautifully marries history with contemporary flair. Originally established in 1843 as The Railway Tavern, it has evolved into a vibrant bar and grill known for its locally sourced dishes and expertly crafted cocktails. Guests rave about the warm atmosphere and attentive service, making it an ideal place to unwind after exploring the area.
I don’t come to Northern Ireland very often but when I do I always park in Lisburn. My colleagues recommended The Cardan and I must say I have not been disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing, well cooked and excellently presented. From the moment I walk in I am made to feel welcome. Something you don’t get from a lot of places. If I was to recommend anywhere to eat and drink it would be The Cardan. Fantastic place to meet, eat and drink. Thank you to all the management and staff for making this an ideal venue.
Paul P — Google review
We were attending an event at Lisburn Cathedral and the Cardan was a really handy spot for a bite to eat and the reviews looked very good. It was a great choice. Myself and brother-in-law had the braised beef and it was absolutely delicious and faultless. It was a generous portion with a really nice gravy, set on lovely mash , roast potatoes and perfectly cooked broccoli and carrots. Nicely presented and as good as I’ve tasted in a long time. My wife wanted something light and had the vegetable curry which she thought was beautiful and again, so well presented. The “only” reason i didn’t give the Cardan a 5 star rating was because we all thought the curry was priced way over the mark at £21, the same as the beef. The service was excellent and the staff couldn’t have done enough for us and we will definitely be back . 👌
Victor Y — Google review
This was a bit of a difficult place to rate. The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The drinks arrived promptly, and the food was presented perfectly. The burger and chunky chips that I had tasted lovely and would recommend it. There's a nice seating area at the front, but passing traffic can spoil it a bit. The only real reason for the 4 star review and not a 5 was that, the place was in need of a bit of a spring clean. There was dust visible on top of speakers, window sills and the border around the eating area. Everything else was great, but as I said before, just needs a bit of spring clean in the bar and eating area. Toilets were immaculate!

Food 5 stars. But 3 stars over all. What let it down was the slow service, one server threw the plates on the table. No.glasses were collected from the table at all. Took ages to pay. Could have walked out without any staff noticing.. The toilets were next level grim. All had broken toilet seats and absolutely stank. Doors didn't lock either. Shame.

Historical landmark
The HM Prison Maze, a renowned historical site, holds a fascinating tale. This decommissioned penitentiary boasts an intriguing narrative that captivates audiences. Its rich history and significance make it an impressive landmark. The captivating story of this former prison unfolds through various events, leaving a lasting impression on visitors' minds.
The outer wall is still standing, along with watch towers. Behind the wall still standing are some buildings, looking on Google to find they are medical blocks. It still gives an eerie feeling while walking down the road, but it is well worth a visit if you are near by.

River Lagan is a picturesque waterway that originates from Slieve Croob, offering visitors the opportunity to embark on a challenging yet rewarding walk along a tarmac path to reach the summit near the BT masts. While the river itself is impressive and beautiful, some have noted that its water may not be palatable for drinking. However, it's worth mentioning that the area is home to charming ducks, adding to the overall appeal of this amazing location.

Great fun, very well put together and excellent use of technology in the games. Seemed pricey when I came across this but after visiting I can say it’s definitely worth the price! It’s obvious that a lot of money has been put in to creating this place. Myself and my kids aged 10 & 12 went for an hour, we had a brilliant time and managed to try all the different rooms. 100% recommend 👍

Went here for my Son’s 11th birthday along with 14 of his mates. Each one had a ball. My son can’t wait to go back. There was so much hype that I felt I missed something so I think the next time the adults might join them 5 stars

We had a great time in the adventure rooms. The staff at the check in desk and the tutorial room were very friendly and helpful. As a party of 5, (age ranging from 32 up to 66 yr) we split into 2 groups visited as many rooms within the hour. We wished we had booked a longer session. It was great fun. I could have given this place five stars, but I found some of the rooms you could not enter, we had to call a member of staff, and some of the games were a bit glitchy, it affected our competitiveness and scores 😃 A real fun place to visit.
D H — Google review
My friends and I had such a good time. We did the airtastic challenge rooms and we did not expect them to be as entertaining as they were. Only did an hour and absolutely needed longer to get round all the rooms so we will be back for sure!!!

My daughter (14) and I went to the ultimate challenge rooms for 1 1/2 hours, easily the best laughs we've had in ages, time flew by with so much to do. Will definitely be back to complete them all over again. Highly recommend
Gareth F — Google review
Absolutely loved it. It only downside was there was too many small kids occupying rooms, who didn't know how to navigate the rooms anyway. There should be an age limit, as some of the rooms are difficult to figure out and navigate, and are definitely not for kids under 10. Kids under 10 (without an adult) just run into rooms, occupy it, and then don't even complete it. They are too small to understand the instructions. Other than that, the facilities are clean, well equipped and the staff was extremely helpful and nice.

Visited 02/01/2023, if using sat nav then keep going along the final road until you see a small lay by suitable for about 3 to 4 cars (there is no car park). There was no other cars when we arrived so able to park fine. There are two entrances, the one with the main sign shown in the pictures for this review and the other where the Red cow is a little further along. We use the red cow entrance and walked along the path with young 2 yr old in situ, just had to be careful when navigating the staircase down to the quarry basin level. Lots of interesting sculptures and definitely worth an hour of your time as a hidden attraction to visit if your in the area. For those who may want to tie in with doing something else the National Trust - Divis and the Black Mountain is nearby 👍🏽 I would say it’s not worth taking a pram to the location so if taking a young one take a carrier or let them walk, but of course take care on the staircases in and out of the bottom of the quarry. There is also some leaflet holders at both the entrance which contains useful info of the sculpture park so worth getting a copy as you enter either entrance. Recommended worth a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fast food restaurant
Nestled in the Lisburn Leisure Park, Pepe's is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious piri piri chicken. The menu offers an array of options, but be cautious with the heat levels; even the "hot" chicken can pack quite a punch! Many guests rave about how perfectly cooked and juicy the chicken is, infused with smoky flavors that elevate each bite. The sides are equally impressive—think crispy fries, fresh salads, and fluffy rice that complements the main dishes beautifully.
Clean and tidy restaurant. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Wasn't overly busy when I was in. Food was really good had the chicken wings and chicken strips. Had a side portion of piri piri fries as well. Would definitely recommend here if you haven't tried it

The food from this place is typically decent, but my recent online order was a huge letdown. Upon unwrapping the meal, I discovered undercooked, flavorless chicken swimming in a watery sauce that ended up spilling over me. Utterly disappointing experience.

Worst chicken ive ever had.. to hatd to eat.. left most of it.. my partners was absolutely swimming in sauce.. sauce like vinegar & chips soggy. Was actually looking forward to trying it.. BOGGIN !!

Great experience overall, we ordered 2 whole peri peri chickens one is hot sauce with dressing touch of Lemon and herb and one with the mild sauce only and they mistakenly put lemon and herb dressing on mild but still we are ok but when we are eating the chicken was under grilled which i don’t like much and peri peri fires were outstanding and staff is very friendly and open to suggestions if you need which we like the most needs a bit improvement on chicken while grilling. 100% recommended

Not recommended. Disappointed. Ordered online and first slot was in 30 minutes and that was ok. when arrived to collect the order was not ready. Need to wait 15 minutes (45 minutes to preapare meal). Result: part of order was already cold. Meal was much away from photoes. Explaination from staff that they bussy and could not prepare my meal on time not accepted because I was a witness that other person ordered meal inside was waiting less then 15 minutes. Food not worthed price
Rafał Z — Google review
Ordered 24/12/2021 - arrived around an hour after, which isn’t bad considering it was Xmas eve. Good burger, I wouldn’t go for the peri peri salt option again as it came unfairly distributed/clumped up in the chips which made most inedible. I’d still order from again, family ordered the chicken wraps including one with an extra fillet and verdict was good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wasim M — Google review
Flavor, Heat, and Perfectly Cooked Chicken This place takes piri piri chicken to another level. The chicken is always cooked to perfection – juicy, tender, and bursting with smoky, chargrilled flavor. The marinades are spot-on, with just the right kick of spice, and you can choose your heat level so it’s exactly how you like it. The sides are just as good as the mains – crispy fries, fresh salads, and fluffy rice that soaks up all that delicious sauce. Everything arrives hot, fresh, and clearly made with care. Service is friendly, quick, and efficient, whether you’re eating in or grabbing a takeaway. If you’re craving bold, vibrant flavors and perfectly cooked chicken, this spot never disappoints.

This is a great spot for food. It looks like an old house from the outside. We weren't sure if it was a pub Parking is across the road and down the side road. Fantastic little pub, I didn't pre-book so got the reviewed back room for a meal. I've learnt now tho that it's essential to book to be in the warmth of the front bar. That aside the service was good and the food was superb, a proper steak house. I'll be booking next time and staying for a few pints.
Liam N — Google review
Unexpected find, absolute gem of a pub, family trip back from IKEA, wanted somewhere different to eat , we weren't disappointed, it's easy to drive past, it's a bit run down looking from outside, but lovely atmosphere inside, the service and food are top drawer, food is absolutely delicious, service was excellent and fast, but bring cash, they don't use debit facilities,I had to drive down the road to the circle K filling station for an ATM, I had gammon, chips with all the trimmings, mushroom for starter, food is unreal, price very reasonable, if you went to the omniplex you would be served the usual processed meal and it would be a lot more expensive, this was home cooked and excellent portion size, myself and wife and child will definitely be back, I wouldn't eat in the omniplex knowing this gem is not even two miles down the Moira road.

Fish & chips restaurant
Golden Cod is a delightful eatery that has captured the hearts of many with its exceptional chicken and the most delicious chips you could ever hope to taste. The service here is refreshingly smooth, free from any awkwardness often found in other establishments. The staff members share a camaraderie that enhances the overall experience, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for diners.
Banging fish supper. Used to work in harry Ramsdens for years and the fish is nowhere near as nice. Flaked apart like butter and battered top class .. Staff polite and quick with the order. All-round be back then.

Went in to the shop for my order. Waited 30 minutes for it whilst everyone who ordered after me received their order before me. I went to ask about my order and the woman was just plain rude. You would think she’d be nicer and apologetic. To top it off, when I got home, they didn’t put any mayo in my wrap. It was as dry as a bone and there was a piece of string in it. Absolutely disgusting. Will never return there again with my hard earned money.
Reelika R — Google review
This particular establishment serves my personal favourite chicken in the world, they have the best chips I have ever tasted. I have never had weird, awkward interactions while my order is being taken (unlike my exeprience at the evil Cod Father where all the workers hate you and eachother) , in other words, the service is perfect and the food comes out fast. The women that work here are much more than just coworkers, they are clearly friends with great rapport, the atmosphere is beautiful. I love the wooden interior.
Penny R — Google review
Been going here for years, best chippy about. Food and service always 10/10. Couldn't recommend them enough. Made a mistake on my order and went above and beyond to rectify it. Darren is an absolute gentleman
Neil A — Google review
We used this chippie for years but since it got new owners. The food quality has declined. The chips have little taste and are yellow? The fish is dripping in oil. We tried it again recently but much the same. We had to press the fish in kitchen roll to expell a serious amount of oil out of it and it was everything but crispy@ I do not recommend!!
Colin M — Google review
The most horrible fish I've ever had. The fish was like rubber! Totally inedible. Like munching on a boot. Took one bite out of it and put it straight in the bin. Used to love the fish out of here, but it's been over a year since my last visit. Won't be back.
Stephen C — Google review
I usually love golden cod and their food is always lovely and good quality but my order this time wasn’t, it maybe was because of the person who put my order in or just miscommunication through the phone but for first I can take half the blame as I ordered a plain burger which to me is no salad or cheese and such on it and when I got it, it had cheese but I should have specified and then a I ordered a garlic cheese pizza and the guy I talked to asked me what I wanted on top and I just reconfirmed with him over the phone that I wanted a garlic cheese pizza nothing on top. Which obviously he put through wrong or misheard but it arrived but as a just plain cheese pizza. Not what I ordered. I do have to say when I called back to inform the guy of this he did say he can get me a new burger and pizza. I would suggest using the just eat app to do ur ordering so no miscommunication doesn’t rlly happen and if it does u have a receipt to show. The reason I didn’t was bc they don’t have their battered mushrooms on it.

Aberdelghy Golf Course

4.3

Golf course
Aberdelghy Golf Course, established in 1905 and relocated in 1973 to avoid urban encroachment, has seen significant improvements over the years. The recent changes have enhanced the course, making it more challenging and enjoyable for golfers. Despite not being the longest course, its tight layout and tricky holes provide a good test of golfing skills. The efforts put into maintaining the course are evident in its fantastic condition despite recent heavy rain.
Great evenings golf with my grandson Not the longest of courses but some of holes are tight and you need your wits about you. Just finished a round with my grandson. Anyone would enjoy a round of golf here
Harry D — Google review
Very good value, ignore the short hole reputation, this is a very enjoyable course where you can't do your normal drive off some par 4s and need to think. In great condition and well worth playing at least once. The reachable par 4's were my favourites but also the grand view over most of the course on the back 9. Also a huge elevation change par 3 with the green basically in the sky, a wonderful hole, hate to be short!!!!
K D — Google review
Very good municipal golf course for very little money. The fairways are good and the fairways are very well designed. Shame about the greens and tee boxes but i am hopefully these will improve with time and money
Ade — Google review
Just played 28 holes on Monday. Course was in brilliant condition and staff fantastic. Couldn't ask for better to be honest!
Christopher M — Google review
Not a beginner friendly golf course! Me and my friend have comfortably completed par 3 courses without any issues and thought we would step it up and play a few extra par 4 holes at Aberdelghy Golf Course. Unfortunately we were confronted with rude and impatient golfers who would play through us and even play when we are on the fairway pinging balls towards us and leaving us with a couple of close calls where we were almost hit by people driving off the tee. We were also heckled at by these golfers and having done absolutely nothing wrong approached by a staff member and told to move on. Therefore, after receiving nothing but hostility from this golfing community and its staff we decided to leave after 10 holes and not finish the full 18. I am very disappointed with the reception we got from Aberdelghy golf club and will not be coming back to this golf course again. Unless you can comfortably make par on every hole on this course and spend 5 minutes maximum on each hole I advise you steer clear of Aberdelghy Golf Course.

Nestled in the charming village of Hilden, Hilden Brewery is a historic gem housed within the elegant Georgian structure known as Hilden House, which dates back to 1824. This brewery holds the title of Ireland's oldest independent brewery and has been delighting craft beer enthusiasts for over 35 years with its diverse range of brews, including favorites like Belfast Blonde and Hilden Irish Stout. Visitors can enjoy guided tours by appointment and savor delicious meals at the Taproom restaurant.
Hilden Brewery is an awesome alternative wedding venue. We've photographed about a half a dozen weddings here and we always have such a great time. The best thing about Hilden is its adaptability and is the perfect location for any style of laid back wedding. And best beer on tap literally made a stones throw away, what's not to love!

We hosted our 60th birthday party at Hilden . Venue was perfect for what we wanted, very warm and cosy. The bar staff were kept busy. Found the organising of the event very straight forward dealing with Angela, Stacey and the chef. (Sausage rolls were a big hit). The only negative would be that the lighting outside venue and on lane up to it wasnt on and it was very dark and some people thought it was hard to find because of this.

Lagan Towpath

4.5
(31)
Lagan Towpath is a picturesque cycling and walking route that runs along the Lagan River, offering a serene experience for both leisurely strolls and more active cycling. The tarmac path makes it accessible to all, with opportunities for birdwatching and picnicking. The route spans from Lisburn to Belfast, providing beautiful views of nature throughout the year.
Love this path & I cycle here regularly. However had a terrible experience last week. In my opinion, when anyone cycles on this path, it is essential when going round bends, blind spots or coming up behind walkers, that you ring your bell & slow down. Racing bikes these days are so quiet that most people just don't hear you when you come up behind them & you have to be responsible for everyone that uses the path. Last Monday my partner and I went for a cycle , it was early & we expected the path to be quiet, which it was . As we approached a bend, he dinged the bell, this guy on a racer who was oncoming towards us, was going so fast, in the centre of the path, he didn't move to the left to give space for us oncoming towards him. My partner managed to brake safely however I pulled to the left, braked and skidded and landed on my right side, I was in total shock. A man walking and my partner came to my aid, the other cyclist didn't stop. We looked where I fell, I had pulled the brakes on moss which most likely caused the skid. As a result of this I ended up in a&e. My knee, hip neck and shoulder badly hurt, can't lift my arm & am in a sling. My reason for writing this is to make people aware, this is a beautiful peaceful path that takes you from Lisburn to Belfast, the views are amazing & you meet some lovely people along the way. It is not a racing track, if you can't see ahead of you, go at safe speeds. I am just so thankful that I wasn't an elderly person out for a stroll or a person pushing a pram , things could've ended more seriously and gladly I'm here to tell the tale. Please don't be put off by my review. I highly recommend it. I just want to raise awareness . Some people get offended when we ding the bell but we are only letting you know we are there & honestly it's for everyones safety. Enjoy! **Update** Since this incident I had a limp, couldn't walk 500 metres as the pain was so bad. Lucky for me I had a total knee replacement this year. I can't bend my knee enough to ride a bike but hopefully I'll be able to take this trip again .

What better way for gentle exercise than a walk along the banks of the River Lagan (cyclists please sound warnings). Stretching from Lisburn to Belfast one encounters the delights of nature during all seasons of the year. A less pleasant experience is the sound of ghostly running footsteps which have caused consternation to some folks who on investigation have been unable to ascertain the whereabouts of the mysterious jogger. Dawn and dusk seem to be favourable times for this disturbing phenomenon prompting the uneasy realization that the Lagan Towpath may be haunted!

It's decent enough on one side. Still good park areas and man made waterfall features near the Island Arts Centre. But there are sections of it that don't make sense, like it being run down and closed and having to change to one side towards Lambeg, and having to get off it to cross at the Union Bridge. Like it is not very obvious where to go that is safe and you could go the wrong way and end up on a road or at a dead end in a bush with loads of litter by accident but there are different parts of it that are still nice...
Verner H — Google review
Lovely walks along the towpath from the Lisburn Council head quarters towards Moira or Belfast. Carpark available. Currently (Sept 2022) the Cafe in the Centre is closed and has been since Covid. Would attract more visitors if back open as the only alternative is to walk into Lisburn.
David M — Google review
Easy walking along a tarmac path. We walked the route from Lagan Valley Centre to Lambeg Lock and back on a late Sunday afternoon and found it quite quiet. The total return distance between those two places was approximately 3 miles The tarmac path makes it suitable for all levels of mobility. There was plenty of birdlife to be seen, for example, Little Grebes, Grey Herons, Mute Swans, ducks and if lucky, Kingfishers. There was little dog fouling or litter. The plastic litter in the canal has also reduced considerably over the last few years. Most cyclists were sensible although as per usual some lycra clad cyclists on racing bikes rode far too fast and didn't ring a bell when approaching walkers.

We saw the signs saying lunch and went inside. What a lovely place and what a fantastic place to worship. Lunch was good, the stained glass windows magnificent and what a change from the normal places to eat. The staff were really nice and what a pleasure to have a bite to eat in somewhere so special. This was a great idea to have the tea rooms at the end of the main isle and brings the Cathedral into an everyday place to visit. Well done to whoever thought this up. We'll be back again.

food and service is amazing! lovely atmosphere and lovely workers, would recommend! great place for a birthday meal 🎉 Omar was our server and was brilliant :)

Took my partner here for her birthday dinner. Food was great however I have to say the service from staff wasn't brilliant. Felt rushed and that they wanted us out after 30 mins. We weren't offered poppadoms to the table like all the other tables around us had been offered. When settling our bill we where met with grunts and dismissal. Overall great food but the customer service let it down.
Peter D — Google review
Initially very good service, but went downhill. Was told on seating we had 1hr 30min before they needed the table back. At 1hr5min, whilst eating dessert they just brought we were told "we need the table in 5 or 6min". Being rushed out earlier than stated, really puts a damper on the end of an evening. In terms of value for money, I made a mistake in ordering poppadom without looking at the price. I did not expect them to be £7.25 for 2 people. My fault for ordering without looking, but something for future diners to keep an eye out for.

It's located perfectly between the city and countryside, making it an ideal destination for various occasions. The bar is known for its top-notch food, affordable drinks, and friendly staff. Customers have praised the excellent service and delicious food at the neighborhood restaurant.
I had my 50th birthday party at the Crafty Hound this weekend, with afternoon tea and board games followed by a hot evening buffet. I was fabulously looked after by Patrice, Majella and the team at the Crafty Hound from the very first contact. They said they don't usually offer afternoon tea, but worked out a wonderful menu for the day, catering marvellously for my friends and families diverse dietary restrictions and allergies. They understood the need for extra space at individual tables to allow people to play games and have their afternoon tea and decorated and laid things out beautifully. It was everything I could have wished for!

Been here on a number of occasions and will always recommend. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is decent and portions are generous, not overly expensive, probably fair for what it is. Atmosphere is decent, typical gastro-pub ambience really. I can’t fault this place, I go back fairly regularly - doesn’t break the bank for a relaxed, tasty lunch or dinner out.

Sunday lunch. Only our second visit here and this time online booking was really handy and also a reminder the day before. No problem getting seated at 12.30 but thought it was a very dark inside unless you were right at the window. Good choice of drinks and we were served pretty quickly. The 1/2/3 course menu was okay with vegetarian option although not clear if starter/dessert combo was possible as one of our party wouldn't have managed a big meal. Food was hot and tasty although dessert choices were limited. One issue was that we had a least 4 staff serve us a three course meal which led to a couple of mix ups. The staff were busy and there was a family party/buffet going on beside us which is maybe why they were so scattered about. The three of us weren't long racking up £100 even though only one of us had all 3 courses and we weren't all drinking. We would go back but probably not for Sunday lunch again and will ask to sit at the window next time. Would also be good to see the one and two star reviews being responded to.

Fast food restaurant
Anderson's Takeaway in Lisburn is a top-notch chip shop that has gained quite the reputation. Many claim it to be the best not only in town but also in Northern Ireland and even the world. The prompt service and clean premises make for a pleasant experience, while their chicken burger and fish supper are described as delicious and beautifully cooked. It's highly recommended by many as the best chippy in Lisburn, with some claiming it to be unmatched in the entire town.
Visited for the first time a few nights ago. Quality chippy, proper pink pastie was the best I've had in years, fresh cod which was a good size, good chips, and not expensive. I don't go to chippies that often but I'll definitely be going back to this one.

Here for the first time for food after moving to Hilden from Belfast & I must say, its the best chippy I've ever had. Food was amazing! I wanted a small chip but looked like a large chip, really good portions.
Lee F — Google review
If Anderson’s had a suggestions box I go with “ how about instead of trying to cater to people that can’t afford a fish supper, maybe don’t fillet your fish 2 maybe 3 times and charge £13 for a fish and a pastie supper ” I’ll happily pay £20 for a good portion of chips and proper fillet of fish cooked properly and I’d dare say they majority of customers would also agree, do better or close the door. This used to be a decent chip shop but obviously the owners care more about profits than quality of food.

I’m from England and a first time customer. The staff were friendly and efficient (the order was for 7 people and they got everything right) and I couldn’t believe how quickly it was prepared. David M — Google review
There’s a chippy wholesaler somewhere out there that is selling gravy granules or paste to chip shops and they need a good boot in the balls with the state of gravy chips in the Lisburn area in a state of emergency !!! So anyways as you may have guessed I got a gravy chip tonight and well !! it was clean boggin !! Now before you get all offended the battered sausages were beautiful 10/10 but listen guys, gravy should be rich and dark with just the right amount of salt, think if a dolphins arsehole and an oxo cube and midnight had a baby. And another thing the chips in a gravy chips need a bit longer in the fryer !! Why’s this I hear you ask ? BECAUSE WHEN THE GRAVY GETS POURED OVER SOFT CHIPS, THE WHOLE THING TURNS TA SHEEEEEEEEIIITE. See thon bucket of gravy you bought ( obviously from the same place the golden cod gets theirs ) as it’s uncanny just how similarly bad it is, anyone who enjoys that clearly doesn’t have any notion of flavour. So in conclusion the battered sausages were, and I can’t stress this enough, beautiful but the chips, undercooked for a gravy chip, and the gravy ??? Well bad enough for me to NEVER be through your door again. Wife enjoyed her chicken burger 🤷‍♂️

Visitors can explore the well-spaced kids section with reading areas and a good book selection. Large selection of books, lots of sitting areas to work and read at, the children's section is very nice and there's a cafe. I once had to check out some books but didn't have a library card and a librarian quickly got me one ready, five minutes before closing time, and he was really nice with it, I felt like a tool, but he was completely fine with it. The only bad thing that's happened here was a couple of dudes who kept yelling boogers every five minutes.

I would like to share my opinion about the library. These days, it has become very noisy, and we cannot enjoy a peaceful environment. Some people talk loudly on their phones, and some school students come and create a lot of disturbance. There is no one to manage or control the situation. One day, even a library staff member had a loud conversation with and laughed with a man for about ten minutes, disturbing everyone. This lack of control is affecting the atmosphere and making it hard for anyone to concentrate.

Lovely library and amazing staff who are really helpful, however there's a lot of teenagers I think they're doing A level . Always making noise and I have noticed them doing some antisocial behaviour , which is really disturbing others who want to study in a quite environment, and the staff struggling with those kids finding it difficult to control them. those teenagers don't concern about their future I feel sorry for their parents . I hope those who's responsible about the library help the staff in managing those kids.

Lovely place and toddler absolutely loved it. My only suggestion would be that i was absolutely freezing with my shoes off as is required in the play area. Better heating needed when temperatures are close to zero if shoes have to be taken off. Otherwise would definitely return

Took my niece’s baby boy today, Brodie is 10 months old. I was worried that maybe not alot for him to do but how wrong I was. This was one of the best days I have spent everything was perfect, booking was easy , I cannot recommend it enough we will definitely be back , Mr Tumble at the end singing good bye was a special touch .

Excellent play opportunities! Enough for both my children to enjoy in their own way (aged 3 and 8 years). Calming, lovely resources and great to see a fun green screen. Staff very helpful and friendly- already a returning customer and we'll be back again. Delicious traybakes and lovely to see a fruit bowl at the cafe too. Thanks!

Amazing venue- my toddler absolutely loves it. Spacious, clean and staff are extremely welcoming. The toys are regularly updated and excellent quality. The cafe has delicious coffee and amazing buns and scones. We had my daughter’s second birthday here and I highly recommend it as a party venue.

We love this place and have been about 6 or 7 times since it opened, including to one of the bank holiday days with face painting and messy play. We’ve been on weekdays and weekends and always great. The play area is so well presented, the toys are in great condition and my wee one just loves it. The sensory room is also a lovely addition. We’re also big fans of the coffee and treats! It’s a nice place to meet with tired mummy friends and their little ones.

Lovely place, well equipped, and extras like face painting and balloon animals included in the price. Not sure if it is all the time, but the one time we have been there so far it was there. We also met and got a photo with Bluey!!
Steven M — Google review
Lovely play area. It's only new which is great because toys are new and clean. No shoes allowed in play area so I would hope it will continue to stay hygienic. It's a bit cold in the building and there are too many tables in the adult seating area. It's very tricky to manoeuvre around and no room for high chairs. My scone was tasty but it wasn't warm and the butter was hard but again I think that was down to the temperature. Overall a positive experience.

Visitor center
The Lisburn Visitor Information Centre is a must-visit landmark located at the heart of Lisburn Square. It offers a wealth of information about the city and the country, making it an essential stop for anyone exploring the area. Visitors can also explore the adjacent Linen Museum to gain insights into the region's history. The center features a well-curated gift shop with affordable local souvenirs, maps, pamphlets, and various items for purchase.
So happy the Lisburn TI ( and linen museum)are open. They were both very helpful in helping me to understand what it would have been like for my 4th back grandparents, who worked in the Coleraine linen industry. The museum is free, so I spent at the gift shop ( small but wonderfully curated). Nice to buy local and not the typical foreign junk.

This place has some really nice gifts to send back home, and they are not very expensive either. There's loads of maps and pamphlets about where to go in Northern Ireland. The staff here are usually very good and don't mind a chat. They have clothes, books, jewelry, stuff to hang on the walls, hats, and information. . of course!

Italian restaurant
Little Wing Pizzeria is a vibrant spot that’s part of a beloved local chain, offering an array of stone-baked pizzas and pasta dishes, along with a thoughtful vegan menu. Nestled among other family-friendly eateries in Lisburn & Castlereagh, it boasts a relaxed atmosphere perfect for all ages. The quirky boomer humor artwork adds character to the space, but it's the generous pizza portions that truly steal the show!
The food was fantastic and the service was great! I absolutely loved the dough balls and pepperoni pizza! The crust on the pizza was excellent and crispy. The pepperoni was delicious. Well done! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Halloween weekend drive to Northern Ireland and this was a perfect stop over !! Based on a recommendation we stopped over and the ambience , taste and service was really good. we had the house specials that day and Bruschetta as a side. Definitely a recommendation if your driving back or towards the coast of Northern Ireland from Dublin. We also liked the interior graphics at the restaurant.

Our server was fantastic. The food was good. I had the Caesar salad and single-serve pizza lunch special. UPDATE: My previous experience stands. However, I had another pizza for takeaway and it was 🔥 fire! Get the picante pizza! I got a 24 inch and ate the whole thing myself but a slice. You won't be disappointed. Updated the star rating from 3 to 4.

Called in last night for a small family celebration. Staff were knowledgeable on the issues with cooking gluten-free pizza in a shared oven, but made it clear the cooking bases were not shared. We all enjoyed our meal. On the set pizza menu were able to swap out less favourable toppings for one we preferred.
Sam A — Google review
Asked for ham and pineapple, "we don't do pineapple" Asked for ham and pepperoni, got pepperoni. We wanted to change seats as there were two empty seats at the window but weren't allowed for some strange reason. I think they didn't want the hassle of clearing the tables. my son ordered a chocolate milkshake he got a glass of chocolate coloured foam with about 200 MLS of milk and loads of foam on top. Sent it back only to have the same thing brought for a second time. Staff were totally unfriendly, disinterested and disorganised. Toilets disgusting!

Great little pizzeria place to visit with an authentic pizza oven. If you're in a group, pre booking is advised as you may be in for a wait. The pizzas are freshly made, and cooked to perfection. Well worth the visit!

Food was excellent as always, Service was poor. Ordered drinks a number of times before main meal which empties just kept piling at the table because staff dropped off fresh drinks but didn't take them away. Once food was served waiters didnt look near us again. Had 2 children with us that wanted ice-cream but had to call waiter over 20mins after we finished eating as no one came near us. Another 10mins passed and no ice creams appeared, children were getting tired to left and grabbed on at the shop on the way home. Experience was not as good as I would usually expect and would make me want to order a takeaway pizza rather than eating in

First time eatting here. Menu had a wide variety of food to suit everyone, even for people who are gluten free, vegan, etc. The staff were lovely and friendly. Food was delicious and not a long wait. It was lovely smelling all the different smells from the pizza open oven. We shared a bottle of wine with our salads and the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. Will defy be back.

Coffee shop
Crema Lisburn is a popular spot with pleasant and helpful young staff who handle pressure well. The food is tasty and served in good-sized portions, and the seating and tables are always clean. It's known for its warm welcome, delicious brunch options like waffles with Nutella, poached eggs with avocado/chorizo, or porridge bowl. The cafe offers strong coffee and yummy carrot cake. Customers appreciate the excellent service and recommend it as a great brunch spot in town.
Visited 04/01/2025 with family, seated on entry and given menus to look at, eldest then ordered and food came quickly, so kudos to kitchen staff for great turnaround. Also staff were polite and seating area was clean. Worth a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I used to love this place but now it's off my favourites in Lisburn. They offer gluten free bread but fillings are very limited. They charge you extra for additional fillings even when you have to swap because it's not gluten free. They used to have many gluten and dairy free options not any more. Everyone loves to accommodate vegans but not people with actual dietary problems.
Rosemary — Google review
The atmosphere felt unwelcoming due to the staff. Little communication and most of all none of the 'hot' food was actually cooked through, don't get me wrong it tasted good but for the price point it wasn't worth it. I am disappointed because the service was careless and I do not recommend it at all.
Maya K — Google review
Busy little spot with nice, strong coffee. Just how I like it. The carrot cake was yummy too. The guy serving us was nice and friendly (think he was the manager) but would have been nice to have been greeted with a “hello” upon entering instead of “an abrupt sitting in?” By the staff behind the counter.

Great food. Lovely staff. A wee bit nosey but only because so busy so not really a bad complaint. Definitely recommend
Barbara H — Google review
When me and my friends politely walked in and ordered our food with loads of respect the staff kept on giving us the massive side eyes and an attitude. Even though we still were really nice to them. After our ordered they started talking about us and looked around to see where we were sitting ( with very unwelcoming faces). PLEASE DON'T GO HERE. Still very traumatized by this awful experience. It was my birthday too😭😭😭

Went to Cream for the first time and tbh I am unsure will we be back. The food was absolutely lovely but the attitude of the staff definitely made the whole experience not as pleasant as it should have been. It's very confusing where to stand while waiting to be seated and we did go the wrong way I will admit it but the behaviour of the girl that was working there was outrageous! So yeah even though the food was very nice I am not sure will we be rushing back.

Bar & grill
Ed's Bar & Grill is a vibrant American-style diner that perfectly caters to families looking for a fun dining experience. With its retro ambiance, the restaurant offers an array of entertainment options for kids, including Nintendo consoles. The menu is impressively diverse, featuring everything from juicy burgers and succulent steaks to flavorful Mexican dishes—all at wallet-friendly prices. The portions are generous, making it easy to share hearty plates like their famous ribs and wings—ideal for those who love a good challenge!
Fantastic restaraunt with very kind and caring staff members, always greeted with a smile and an enthusiastic attitude. Kids are always warmly welcomed and give a choice of either an amazon tablet to play with or a TV with built in dvd player for the booth seats. Food is delicious and cooked very well. I tried the OMG burger which was delicious and my wife ate the chicken goujons and thoroughly enjoyed them also. Jugs of juice are readily available rather than being forced into small bottles so the kids loved that. Overall a great family day out after a swim, cinema or game of bowls!

Staff are amazing but the food I wouldn't feed my dog it tbh didn't like the place at all. Desserts ain't the best either. Only reason got a two star is cuz food is amazing wouldn't recommend it to anyone

We had the Man Vs food style of food, these two plates of ribs and wings were actually one dish. So we shared a dish between two people, making it about £10 per person which is decent. They also had the NHS discount so if you show and NHS ID you get free starter and dessert for you AND 5 others. The service was great, we had a big party of people and I felt bad that the staff must have been quite pressured as it was quite busy. In summary: food was nice, cheap and staff was friendly. Would recommend.

It is a fantastic family restaurant, the food is amazing and the service is excellent. I have been going to it for several years and I have personally never been disappointed. There is a wide - range menu of delicious food. Its a perfect place for all occasions like birthdays (cake, balloons, party poppers etc are given to you if you mention it is your birthday) meeting with friends, family dinners and parties of any sort. The staff are very friendly. Definitely my favourite restaurant and I would highly recommend it.

Very big restaurant, only waited few mins for a table as we didn’t book. Very friendly and helpful staff, child friendly as children get a tablet to play on and a kids menu. Plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs. Price for food is reasonable. The steak my fiancé got we all tried it and was absolutely amazing texture, cooked well and full of flavours. Everything else food wise we got was so gorgeous
Becca M — Google review
Absolutely fabtastic. The food is divine and the service is brilliant. Expect an amazing meal, starter to desert. The bar serves refreshing beers, wines and cocktails. It is extremely popular for miles around and with some tourists, which is why it is very busy a lot of the time. If you would like a not-so-busy day I would recommend Mondays. The food is great value for it's taste. I would recommend this 150%.
