OZEANEUM Stralsund GmbH is a modern marine museum located in Stralsund, focusing on the Baltic and North Seas. It was voted European Museum of the Year in 2010 and attracts over half a million visitors annually. The interactive exhibition offers educational experiences suitable for children, featuring display boards, models, and live fish in various aquariums. The aquarium also provides scenic views of the Old Town and St. Nicholas Church from its location on the harbor.
Always worth a visit. Quite educational and interesting. Less busy on weekdays. Plenty of quick bite food options around. Easy with small kids, strollers or wheelchairs.
Mr. A — Google review
Went there around 80 minutes before closing, and I had just enough time to go through everything in the museum. I paid 14 euros for my ticket, and what I got for that price was justified. Would recommend!
Axel N — Google review
I recommend it, very modern, well structured and easy to visit. If you want to see it in detail, it is ideal to allocate about 2-3 hours. The adult ticket costs 18 euros, for those aged between 17-24 a discount of 4 euros is applied. It is also beautiful outside.
A. A — Google review
The oceanarium is an incredibly educational place. The whole family was delighted with it. You can admire live animal specimens there, as well as learn interesting facts about the Baltic Sea. The entrance fee is not low, but it's worth it.
Iva — Google review
Very interesting place with amazing aquariums and well preserved specimens. Here you can learn many interesting facts about animals and nature. Great place for kids.
Olga D — Google review
It's a BIG museum with lots to learn about the earth and its oceans. The audio guide is very thorough with an option to read instead of listen and audodescription for the visually impaired. And the fishes are obviously beautiful.
Laurien S — Google review
It’s a nice aquarium. On a rainy day in the summer it’s of course pretty crowded and also not great regarding air ventilation ;-) It took us two hours, but we didn’t read through everything.
Conny F — Google review
For a modern oceanarium I would expect more larger aquariums and less boring exhibitions. No interactive elements. A bit disappointing.

Gorch Fock I is a restored and seaworthy rigged sailing ship that serves as a floating museum and events venue. Launched in 1933, it has a rich history as a sail training ship for German naval forces and later used by the Soviet Navy until 1990. Now permanently anchored in Stralsund's harbor, visitors can board the impressive old vessel to explore its storied past.
I visited quite early in the day before going for a walk along the waterfront. 4 euro entry fee per person was very much worth it. The staff were friendly and informative. The information was interesting and clear and easy to read. My travel buddy Yoshi enjoyed looking around ;)
Hollee G — Google review
The three-masted Gorch Fock I is an impressive sight, and standing on its deck felt like stepping into another era. The nearby harbor promenade and the view of the sea strait made the experience even more special. Stralsund’s waterfront is peaceful yet lively – the scent of the sea and the charm of the old harbor buildings made the visit truly unforgettable.
Tamás F — Google review
Historically interesting. Some interesting exhibits but not many. It’s more about the vessel itself.
Zygmunt K — Google review
Worth a visit if you are in Stralsund. Interesting to see the original boat with original equipment from the second world war. 5€ per adult. Can be seen in 15 minutes (not very big). Not suitable for people with physical disabilities. Woman at the register was pretty unpolite. We asked if it's a tour or if we can walk around freely and she replied "well you know how to read right?"
Cris — Google review
Really interesting attraction! A must-see in Stralsund. Unfortunately several parts of the ship are under renovation so we didn’t get to visit them... but other than that it was worthwhile.

(Translated by Google) I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph a school prom at the Kulturkirche Stralsund – and what an experience it was! As soon as you enter this impressively beautiful church, you can sense the special atmosphere, which exudes history and dignity. A real highlight for me was being allowed to climb up to the organ to take photos from there – the view from above is simply breathtaking! The interplay of majestic architecture, wonderful acoustics, and atmospheric lighting makes this place truly special. As a photographer, I would love to return – and can only recommend everyone to experience this church for themselves. Churches & Cathedrals
St. Nicholas' Church, Stralsund, also known as Nikolaikirche, is a Gothic church built in the 14th century and is located behind the Old Market Square. It features beautiful altars and an impressive astronomical clock inside. The church has two towers with an interesting history - one was rebuilt after a fire while the other was left with a flat roof due to lack of funds. Inside, visitors can admire reliefs depicting the life of Jesus on its walls.
Nice church, open not only for religious service but also for public events.
Der G — Google review
St. Nicholas Church (German: Nikolaikirche) is the oldest of the three major parish churches of Stralsund in Germany. It was dedicated in 1279 to Saint Nicholas of Myra, the patron saint of sailors. St. Nicholas Church was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2002. The construction began as a hall church with a tower in 1234. After 1270, the unfinished St. Nicholas Church was rebuilt as a basilica, following the design of St. Mary's Church in Lübeck. The construction of the western tower began in 1300. In 1314, the council decided to build two towers. Around 1350, the construction of the nave between the two towers was completed. A fire in 1662 destroyed the wooden spires of the towers. In 1667, the southern tower was provided with a Baroque dome. The first attempts to renew the church's medieval colour scheme were made in 1891. Remains found near the organ were used as an example. The Berlin painter August Grimmer painted the leaf decorations in the arcades of the choir. The nave, the aisles, and tower chapels were painted by the Linnemann brothers from Frankfurt (wiki).

Café Gumpfer offers delectable desserts, a delightful harbor view from the terrace, and a staff that is both amiable and accommodating. This café is known for its flavorsome treats, including delicious cakes and pastries. The service provided by the personnel is exceptional, with friendly interactions leaving customers satisfied. The café attracts frequent visitors who appreciate the high-quality coffee and scrumptious delicacies served here.
Incredible selection of cakes, among them some local specialties. Fresh and delicious. Good portions. The coffee was also good quality and well-prepared. The place is very German, as is the service: efficient but courteous. The prices are suitable for the location and quality - obviously a bit higher than a café without such a view.

sehr chlechterer Service. Regarding the response from the restaurant. That had nothing to do with Corona, they were just rude! I came in with my mask on and the restaurant was empty. They shouted at me that I could not go in just like that, I said politely oh I am sorry, shall I sit then outside? I did, had coffee and cake and then wanted to pay for about 10 Min. But no one came. I went to the door again and from outside asked politey if I could pay. Again bad manners and I was told I should wait for the waitress outside. But hey everyone can have a bad day!

(Translated by Google) We were finally able to eat in this cool outdoor setting. We both had the lime coconut chicken with arugula salad. Delicious!! We were amazed at how much chicken there was on the plate, a large portion, a whole portion that was almost impossible to manage. The service, I think it was the owner's wife and chef, was very nice, not intrusive, but always present on time. Thanks to the chef who has something special on his menu and stands out from the menu of most restaurateurs. Tines Nudelküche is a relaxed Italian eatery in Stralsund's old town. They specialize in pasta dishes made with pesto and homemade sauces. This restaurant offers a fusion of international cuisine, including healthy options. The servings are generous, so be prepared for large portions. It's recommended to ask the friendly staff for advice on which noodles pair best with each dish as you can customize your order.
Be aware: big portion is BIG. Delicious, don't skimp on the additions and do ask the staff what noodles fit better, every dish is a constructor. Staff is nice and friendly.

Lunch place in Stralsund with a good price performance. The ‘wavy pasta’ was slightly overcooked but overall a great option for a quick lunch.

The opening hours say they make a small break after 4PM but they serve you anyways. The mid size portion is totally enough for a meal (I’m tall guy) but the best part os the friendly staff. You just feel welcome here. So good to be out of Berlin a bit 😃 BTW you can pin your hometown on the map in the back, the pins were all used unfortunately.

I had heard about Tines Nudelküche for a long time and finally I managed to visit this special place on my journey. The moment I entered the lovely arranged room, filled with the delicious smell of herbs and pesto, I was warmly welcomed by the owner. You might think pasta is something you can easily cook at home, but at Tine's Nudelküche it is reassured that it is definitely worth going out for enjoying perfectly cooked pasta :) I was really amazed by the concept and atmosphere the owner has created. Not only the owner herself and the employees are extremely friendly but also other customers I met there. I could stayed there all day. Or come back every day to try another combination and variety of pasta and pesto. I really appreciated the portion size options and friendly recommendation on how filling the portions are. It allowed to eat the perfect amount of food. Describing the taste is impossible, you simply have to go there yourself and try it out ;) I will definitely take every chance to come back to Stralsund, to enjoy a meal at Tines Nudelküche! Thank you for making it possible Tine. See you hopefully soon.

Restaurant Zum Scheele is a charming eatery located in a former merchant's house in Stralsund. The historic atmosphere and old-world surroundings make it an elegant dining destination. The restaurant offers a diverse selection of regional dishes and beverages, including cocktails, healthy options, vegetarian specialties, and hearty breakfast choices. Additionally, guests can savor coffee from the in-house roastery while enjoying the ambiance. The cuisine at Zum Scheele emphasizes high-quality seasonal and regional recipes.
A few months ago, we went to Zum Scheele restaurant, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and elegant atmosphere, but the real magic was in the kitchen. The service was impeccable, and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. But the real highlight was the food… With every bite, we experienced an explosion of flavors. After tasting each dish, my boyfriend and I just looked at each other—no words were needed, because the food was simply that good! The balance and expertise in each dish were evident, and you could really feel the passion and care behind every plate. Such a level of culinary excellence is rare to find. I wholeheartedly recommend Zum Scheele to anyone seeking an exceptional gastronomic experience. Go, taste, and discover it for yourself—because some flavors can only be truly understood by experiencing them!
Miray K — Google review
Very good coffee and a vast selection of cakes, all of it in a beautiful, cosy setting of the historic Scheele Kontor building. A bit pricey, though, but that is probably due to the small batch roasting.
Julius F — Google review
We had lunch without booking and got ourselves a table. The service was incredibly slow and disinterested. Getting the menus to order took ten minutes alone. We had to remind them to give us bread and butter and to give us a spoon for the soup. Getting the dessert menu was another ten minute wait as was getting the actual cakes from the glass cupboard where they were stored. A final ten minute wait to be allowed to pay pulled down the experience further. The pasta with pesto rosso was well made and flavourful. The fish soup had very nice flavours but the potatoes were undercooked and the salmon was spoiled and tasted of soil. Sadly we couldn't speak German so we failed to convey this fact to the service in English. The cakes were well made and the tea came in personal pots which is always nice. The wine pairing was great. The house itself is worth a visit. Hopefully you won't have our bad luck with the food. If you have a lot of time to spend waiting for service maybe it could be worth a visit. The flavours make you believe the chef knows what they're doing but can't be bothered to actually taste their food. Sadly disappointing.

Ben S — Google review
We had soooo much food: liver pâté, curry soup, Feldsalat, pumpkin gnocchi, entrecôte and halibut with Safran risotto. The entrecôte came out close to raw and wasn’t a tender cut. They immediately took it back and fried it some more. As usual, my husband should have asked to get his salad dressing on the side, as it was too much for him. We all loved the gnocchi! I could eat them every day! The personal touch: the wine list featured some lovely local wines, the waitress was super charming, and the location was a dream with its old wooden beams and the ceiling high Christmas tree.
Christina ( — Google review
Zum Scheele served me the best lamb I have ever tasted, the place itself is an intrigueing historical building, the service was friendly enough (although a wee bit slow) and the overall experience was good. I would like to give Zum Scheele four stars. However - the tomato butter served with the bread was rancid. It smelled like old cheese, and the four of us agreed it wasn't fresh. We sent it to rhe kitchen, but they claimed it was freshly made. I say: no way. Stuff like that happens, and rancid butter - however unpleasant - isn't really bad for you. They could have just apologized, brought us fresh butter and let us have the drinks for free and the whole thing would be done with. They would have a whole other review - and four stars.

This hidden gem provides an enriching experience for both adults and children, making it a must-visit attraction for those interested in the mysterious waters of the Baltic Sea.
It was a great experience! Amazing artwork, very interesting displays and modern design perfectly executed with timeless knowledge. I wish more people would come here and learn how important the oceans are to humans and share this passion with others. Highly recommended

One of the best museums I’ve been to. It is modern, and the design of the whole exhibition and museum is very interactive and inclusive.

The entire museum is in an old church. This probably the best use of a church that I have ever seen. There are a large amount of exhibits and just when you think it's over they have an impressive exibit of aquariums in the basement. I suggest this highly the price is extremely reasonable for the amount of things to see.

I loved how this exhibition walks through the oceans history and evolution, through it’s vast beauty and then finishes with examples of human effects on the oceans. I was itching for the exhibit to display to visitors on how to live in a way that helps the oceans (eg. eat less fish, reduce plastic consumption) but it didn’t quite get there. I found it really interesting that there was once a fishing net made from banana fiber called ‘Manila net’ that was organic and broke down naturally in the ocean. Why aren’t we using this today I wonder? All in all, a great exhibition in a beautiful space.

Located on the seaside, the Ozeaneum is a modern, spacious museum building. It displays all things related to fish, whales, fishery, and ocean research, and also has some nice live fish swimming around in huge aquariums. The whale-room is the coolest. It also houses a shop to buy souvenirs, and a café.

The exhibition provides an in-depth look at life in the house since 1320, offering a glimpse into Stralsund's history during the Hanseatic period.
Definitely worth a visit. My 10 y.o. daughter considered this place the most interesting in the whole Stralsund. I would not put it like this, but still - clear recommendation.

(Translated by Google) Great museum. Due to its historical origins, it's not wheelchair accessible. Some stairs require climbing. Definitely worth a visit. We were pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable admission price. The visit lasted a good hour. The lady at the ticket office was very friendly. There was a puzzle book for school-age children. We liked the layers of wallpaper from the past centuries best. It was like traveling back in time. The transformation of the building's use was also impressive. (Original) Tolles Museum.

The Stralsund Playing Card Factory, also known as Spielkartenfabrik, offers more than just a museum experience. Visitors can witness historical printing presses in action and gain insight into life in an old printing house. The museum showcases playing cards produced in Stralsund until 1931. Guests can enjoy guided tours of the small print shop and even try their hand at printing under supervision. The friendly and knowledgeable staff make the experience enjoyable for all.
A unique active playing card factory. Higly recommended for anybody interested in playing cards, art and printing techniques. The staff was very dedicated and informative.

Amazing experience! My daughters were shown how to print with the old machines and they had a blast. Super friendly and helpful staff. My daughters want to come back to Stralsund to come to the Spielkartenfabrik one more time :)

The museum is rather functional typesetting/printing workshop aimed at preserving traditional techniques. Although this interactive exposition is not a typical exhibition, we were very warmly welcomed and we have learned a lot about the technology and we had got appropriate answers to our questions (in excellent English). We encourage all who are interested in the "know-how" experience to visit this special exhibition.

An amazing working factory with passionate people who give old machines a second life. The exhibition is astonishing, all the ancient engineering inventions still work and you can see the process of how cards used to be made and are still produced here. A monument to craftsmanship 🖤

The place looks good and the ambience is amazing. But the service is just plain terrible. We had to wait for our food for over an hour. Our waitress had the memory of a goldfish. She even forgot our cutlery after serving our food. Even after telling her about the missing cutlery, she literally forgot it again, so that we needed to tell another waitress to get something so that we could cut into our streak. I couldn't tell if the food was good, since it was cold once our cutlery came. Plus in 2023 it's still cash payment and they don't accept any sorts of cards as payment which is a big disappointment.

We were here with two kids, had to wait to get the menu, then waited again for the waitress to take our order, the drinks took again a long time, by then 45 minutes were gone! A while later the waitress announced they had lost the note with our order in the kitchen and we had to order again! Last but not least the only okayish food were the nuggets, the potato soup tasted terrible, was far too greasy and salty. We were here for over 2 hours, but never again!!!

I was immediately greeted with a very polite waiter and given a menu in English. The waiter was also quick to give me my drink and food was served just as quickly. The schnitzel with kroketten and Bolognese sauce was very fresh and hot. The schnitzel itself did not taste the frozen meat that other places use, it was cooked just right. I give my compliments to the chef and I would highly recommend this place for a meal. You can either eat Under ground where it is cooler , or choose to eat outside along the sidewalk if the weather is fair.

On a Wednesday night, with few people, we expected great service - having read many good reviews. Had a "kartoffelpfanne" which most og all tastes like ready made produce mixed and heated with cheese on top. One in the party has schnitzel and "brat kartoffel" - that was fresh made.

I had a late dinner in this classically German Brasserie style restaurant, being well received and quickly served the local beer I had been longing for ever since having left Copenhagen in the afternoon for my road trip going back to Switzerland via Stralsund. It was followed by an almost classical Wiener schnitzel, strangely accompanied by lingonberries in stead of anchovies which was a first in my long life. The saying goes that you should be able to sit on your Wiener schnitzel without your light grey flannel trousers being stained by the fat used to fry it. Needless to say, that is a myth today. Overall good value for money and coming late, I was glad they still served me past 10 p.m.

Nope...a hard no on all counts. The food is terrible. We were with a group of friends and ordered the Chicken . The waitress brought us fish (no one in the group eats fish). Even after repeatedly telling her that we don't eat fish she insisted that we ordered it wrong and that it was our fault for the mix-up. I personally don't think that this is the way one treats customers. Plus she avoided our table for the rest of the evening, so that another waitress had to come to get our drink order to wash down the stale fish that we had to pay for. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!! NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!

Restaurant
Hansekeller is a restaurant located in the heart of Stralsund's Old Town, offering a taste of traditional German cuisine as well as European dishes. The 16th-century vaulted cellar provides an atmospheric setting for enjoying hearty fare such as schnitzel, pork, and steaks. Reviews highlight the fantastic ambiance, great food at reasonable prices, and quick service. Diners praise the generous portions and excellent preparation of the dishes, with particular mention of seasonal offerings like asparagus.
Great variety and excellently prepared. We each ordered a unique dish, and all were fantastic, especially the seasonal asparagus offerings. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly.

We had en afternoon schnitzel. While it tasted ok, it felt like both the schnitzel and the fries were made with not enough heat. Could be because we were the only ones there at the time. If we are in the neighbourhood another time, I would give them another try though :)
Jan L — Google review
The waitress was so rude we didn’t want to eat there at all after the treatment. Happened in 2 minutes. We arrived she just pointed to a corner to sit without saying even Hallo, bad vibe… then just put the menus in front of us like we’re dogs then we couldn’t stand it and we left.
Fruzsina R — Google review
Food was alright. Before entering we entered we asked if they had any vegan alternatives and the answer was yes. When looking at the menu nothing was vegan and they instead said they could do one of their salads but removing the non vegan ingredients. Right before everyone else received their food our vegan friend was told the salad could apparently not be made vegan. But instead they were offered a plate of vegetables. The vegetables were okay but they took 15 euro for them which was rather overpriced.

Did not meet our expectations at all! Tasty food, but difficult to eat and cut! Poorly handled by the chef. Employees without any engagement at all. Pity as the cellar is really a very nice pkace.

Allowed us in for beers even though they were closing for the afternoon break. Great place to experience a legit German rathskeller.

Waited to be seated for 30 minutes beyond our reservation. Waited to order our drinks. A 1/2 hour later they came. Ordered food and 2 hours later it still hadn't arrived. Other tables that were seated after us were having dessert by now. We were ignored. Service abysmal. Food? How would we know?

Their speciality is traditional food and they do it well. Generous portions with good presentation. A pleasure to still get good value in such a big city.

Zoos & Aquariums
Zoo Stralsund is a must-visit destination in Northern Germany, offering an extensive collection of over 150 animal species. The zoo spans across 16 hectares and features native German animals as well as some from abroad. Visitors can enjoy animal shows, feeding times, and even have the opportunity to touch some of the animals. The zoo also boasts a bistro for a delightful dining experience.
LOVELY ZOO! The garden is so amazing and everything is neat and well-looked! 🌟
Marina — Google review
The park was beautiful and had many different animals. However, it is clear that the parks intent is to have as many different animals as possible, and that they don’t put enough thought into animal welfare. Especially the wild animals like wolves, lions and the king eagle had way too little space, and seemed apathy and unhappy. I wish the park would have not made the choice to have these huge animals, and world rather focus on the other animals they have that require less space. It was really affordable to get in, which is nice
Frankie R — Google review
Very good zoo, decent walking distance inside the zoo, there's a kids play area as well. Animals are not too many, just few varieties. 7 Euro ticket price per adult and free for kids. Best for family outing. Overall great experience!
Patterson C — Google review
The zoo is amazing! I put one star to focus attention only on condition of OCELOT, it's cage is really small, dirty and seems very unpleasant, the Ocelot it's self is very depressed 😞😞😞, staring at the ground, laying and shivering with obvious signs of being either sick or really deeply depressed. Please share it in order to put attention to it's conditions!
Alkor M — Google review
It is quite small, but the range of tropical birds and local/European/rural animals is above average. Especially at sunny days, the zoo shows off as a nice park. If you have got kids, take them there. They will not be disappointed. +1

Brunnenaue, the oldest public park in Stralsund, is a beautiful green area that serves as a link between the urban greenery, residential areas, and the ramparts around the old town. The park was first mentioned as a healing spring in 1630. It features wide grassy areas and a fountain where visitors can cool off in summer or go tobogganing in winter. The Bio-Insel health food store, conveniently located outside the central train station, not only provides a wide variety of gluten-free snacks and other food options but also boasts a cozy cafe. Upon entering, one is pleasantly surprised by the hidden gem that lies within. The shop offers an extensive selection of high-quality food items in a spacious setting. Although slightly pricey, the products surpass average standards.
Take a peek inside, you might be surprised about the gem that hide there. The store is spacious and stacked with a lot of great food. Everything is a little pricy but also way above average quality. In addition, it appears to be the only place at this railway station that offers coffee with an milk alternative AND they serve it in reusable cups for which you have to leave a deposit of 1€ each. Also the oat latte macciato is worthy a mention, it definitely hit the spot on a chill autumn morning. 🍁🍂

Stralsund Hbf is an essential destination when exploring northern Germany, showcasing its remarkable Gothic red brick churches and the serene blue Baltic coastline. As a former prominent city in the Hanseatic League, Stralsund has maintained its historical significance and was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, alongside Wismar. The town's charm lies in its well-preserved architectural wonders, such as vibrant squares adorned with colorful gabled houses and narrow streets that unveil captivating views.
Beautifully decorated inside with some massive wall maps. As you're transiting, make sure you have a look

Small, clean but not cheap. There are different shops (News and books, McD., DB Service shop and a Spar) and an Information inside. And beautiful paintings on the walls.

Public toilet disaster. For the toilet you have to pay, wait for it, 1 euro! The ticket Automat says you can pay by card, by paper money and coins but, in fact, you can pay by coins only. Okay, I paid 1 euro and I expect a certain level of cleanliness and basic facilities like water. In reality it smells, toilets are dirty and on top of it there is no water.

Stralsund hbf have authentic gothic architectural. Its took 3 hours from Berlin. The station relatively small and provide facility like WC, shop, Mcdonals, locker and bookshop. If you not yet have sim card, don’t worry, in this station have Wifi to make you easy connect. You can book your train ticket here but they just speak lil english. The most beautiful Hauptbahnhof I’ve seen in Germany in my First six month, it might change. But overall it’s 3rd last city of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, so considerably a good central station for the people up north. Has McDonald’s, one bakery and DB ticket shop. You can have tickets from the automatic vending machines as well. The second picture is the entrance view of HBF.

I need someone to verify if this food stall operated in 2001. I consumed a kebab at Stralsund station during that year and now have a sudden urge to recall the specific establishment. It was situated within the train station near Mc'Donalds, boasting an appealing outdoor seating area furnished with chairs and tables for customers' convenience. I indulged in a chicken doner durum which proved to be one of the most exceptional I've ever tasted.

In our opinion, the entrance fee of €8 per person is not justified at all. It's just a single room with painted pictures, which were nice and sometimes funny to look at, but overall didn't offer much variety. It was also extremely cold in this room, which made it uncomfortable. Apart from the small sales area with books and postcards, there was nothing else to discover. The price is far too high for what is offered. Unfortunately no recommendation from us. However, we would like to positively highlight the woman at reception - she was very personable and friendly. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that!

(Translated by Google) Hey, the admission is exorbitant at €8 for two dozen pictures that make you smile. There are funny postcards, comics, and sayings on metal signs. Bizarre sculptures at exorbitant prices. More of a shop than anything else. If it hadn't been raining...

(Translated by Google) Beware of rip-offs! This, at least, is a perfect fit for one visit. The two of us had been there earlier, paid €16 admission to enter a large sales room – to buy funny illustrations and pictures! Then you enter a larger room, which you walk through in five minutes, with more illustrations – apparently all by a single artist… After 15 minutes, you're completely exhausted and very disappointed – I'd rather have two fish sandwiches at the harbor for that price, you get much more out of them. (Original) Achtung Abzocke!

(Translated by Google) This museum is very special. I have to admit, we only went there because the Oceanarium next door was completely overcrowded. And since it was raining heavily, we went there. The museum is essentially an art exhibition. It has little in common with a museum. Here, you can view paintings by a socially critical artist. The artist also creates sculptures, which, like the paintings, you can buy. It's funny because the artist's style is very dark humor paired with realistic scenes. It's fun to wander through it and laugh a little at the stupidity of human nature. Since the museum isn't that big, you can walk through it in 30-50 minutes. But that's good. If the space were bigger, you'd eventually just wander through it bored. If you like the dark art of humor, you should treat yourself. At €8 per person, the price is justified.

I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of options available at Fischbrötchenkutter Anja. The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was outstanding. Anyone who complains about the prices is out of touch with reality in my opinion. The value for money at this restaurant is definitely acceptable. I also appreciated its location, which is conveniently situated by a private yacht harbor.
Really great experience! We ordered mixed smoked fish plate. It was delicious and in my opinion - enough for 2-3 persons. Nice vibe, just at the bank.

The other all experience is nice, but the brötchen is a bit overpriced. There are enough fish and sauce, but about 9€ for this - a bit too much. I’d highly recommend the Fischbrötchenkutter if the prices for brötchen were around 6-7€

Very nice place for a quick sea food meal. Everything is fresh and delicious. I had a traditional Bismarckhering (in a bun), kids ate fish and chips and my husband had backfisch. You eat outside here, next to water and the marine. If you like this kind of local climate, you’re gonna like it too.

The restored monastery, once a Franciscan monastery, offers a peaceful atmosphere with its courtyard and ruins. The Stralsund Museum of Cultural History is a collection of seven different locations across Stralsund, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the area. One of its highlights is the Viking treasure, known as 'Hiddensee Gold Jewellery,' which consists of 16 pieces dating back to the 10th century. The museum offers a fascinating tour through the city's history and residents, housed in beautifully restored buildings like the Katharinen Monastery.
The Stralsund museum of cultural history is currently undergoing renovation and expansion and what there was there looked very good I would love to see it after the completed renovation and expansion. The people who work there are very friendly and will answer any questions and some parts of it including your entry fee information is posted in English as well.

Quite interesting, but the quality of the exhibits (and their respective descriptions) were of wildly varying quality. The staff was however very nice and eager to answer questions. The restaurant also provides a wide range of cocktails and healthy dishes, making it suitable for various preferences. Additionally, Speicher 8 is known for its extensive breakfast options. Customers have praised the venue for accommodating special events like weddings with excellent service despite being busy.
Top quality food. Try the lamb cooked to perfection with truffelmash. The only let down were long waiting time for the food but it was worth the wait. The restaurant for some reason had a big screen tv with drone video footage from Dubai and LA, which was very odd and didn't fit the atmosphere at all. Why not show photos of beautiful Stralsund instead.

Good location near the water but not a water view, probably due to the local construction. Food was good and flavourful but not considered fine dining. Prices are in the mid to higher range. Very attentive staff, they never let us down.

Delicious, top-quality food prepared with heart, made even better by the gorgeous view of the sailing boat museum Gorch Fock I. My in-laws and we were very satisfied! Would be perfect if there were dessert options of cakes.

Very confused waitress, we wanted to know bout the lasagna’s type of meat and she just cannot respond, saying “it is what it is”: we just wanted to know if it was deer or not. Keller bier was probably expired, it tasted vinegary: another discussion to have because they didn’t want to change it. This happened with two native german speakers on the table, the food was good but the service lacked.

My boyfriend booked ahead for the 1st October holiday and was assured that the restaurant was gluten-free / coeliac friendly. The food was delicious. We ordered the goats cheese as an entree each, followed by the Saltimbocca von Lamb with rosmary roasted potatoes in the house jus. For dessert, my boyfriend had the créme brulee, and I had the white chocolate mousse with pistachio foam. The service was very good, our waitress was very attentive. From where we were sitting (inside), we had a clear view of the open kitchen, and although they were understaffed, the staff were calm, worked well together, and were not hectic. We received all meals in a timely manner and enjoyed our evening.

Delicious food and friendly service (which is very much appreciated when in Germany). But, the best part was that this restaurant is respectful of children. We order the fish for our son and we were pleasantly surprised by what we got. Instead of the common frozen fingers and fries, they served fresh fish and homemade tasty potatoes pure, with fried kale and spinach. Kids also deserved good food and this restaurant delivers!
Daniela M — Google review
Terrible, over-priced tourist trap with really low-grade food; go to Fischermann's round the corner instead. Our guide book said this was a great place for plain grilled fish; nothing could be further from the truth. There were only three fish options: salmon, or prawns, or the dreadful German favourite pike-perch (a freshwater fish). So nothing coming from the ocean ten metres away presumably. I had a €25 bowl of "garlic linguine" with salmon and prawns: this consisted of three prawns, one tiny bit of dry salmon and some incredibly bland cream-smothered pasta with not a hint of garlic or any other flavour. The kids options were atrocious: pasta with tomato sauce so sweet my kids wouldn't eat it, and fish with "potato purée" that couldn't be swapped for chips, we were told, because the dish was "schon fertig" (precooked). AND, on top of the bill of €116 for two adult main courses, two kids dishes and a few drinks, we had to pay an extra €1 each for tomato ketchup and mayonnaise! Massive rip off. The sweet waiter had the grace to admit it was terrible, but there was nothing else he could do about it. Shame, because it's got a lovely view, and Stralsund itself is charming. Wish we'd gone to Fischermann's or the fish-and-chips boat by the bridge. Avoid like the plague.

We were two people not 6 or 10, we waited 15 minutes for menu, 4 or 5 people were working there and No one gave us any meaning. We also ordered drinks that were not what we said. Second thing is the food. Cant say anything here, food was kind of delicious but come on guys we paid 15 euros for every burger with chicken, that what i saw was a burger with fried potatoes and next to the potatoes pack of ketchup and mayonnaise. Sorry but for 15 euros it was a very simple dish. I expected it more beautiful Not with a pack of ketchup and mayonnaise.

No good and expensive. We left 50€ (2 meals and 2 drinks) and were left hungry and disappointed. Currywurst with fries was basically swimming in ketchup, general experience worse than a street kiosk. Chicken had bloody uncooked parts (not to mentioned over-seasoned), tomatoes perished, some vegetables burnt. We did not finish our food. Service is slow, and the male server denied our claims of the food. I doubt the kitchen even heard about it, so I hope this review reaches who it has to reach. Atmosphere is good outside.

Do not eat here. After waiting for 40 min (and it was not a busy night) for my very simple dish with mainly potatoes the chicken had hardly touched a frying pan and the rest of the dish was less than average. Think the chicken was precoocked and just heated. The staff is friendly but offering a coffee is not my idea of apology. German cooking and restaurants are usually good, not this one...

This establishment is one of the more highly regarded Greek restaurants in Stralsund. Notably, they accept credit cards as a form of payment, which is a convenience.
