Chipping Campden in 1 day

If you only have 1 day to spend in Chipping Campden, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Chipping Campden is a classic Cotswold market town, known for its honey-colored stone buildings and remarkably well-preserved historic High Street. Visitors come for the elegant 17th-century Market Hall, the wool church of St. James, and nearby manor gardens such as Hidcote. It’s a popular base for walking, including the Cotswold Way National Trail, and for exploring surrounding villages and countryside. The town also has a longstanding association with arts and crafts, reflected in local galleries and workshops.
With favorites like Broadway Tower, National Trust - Market Hall, and The Bantam Tea Rooms & Guest House, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Bistro on the Square, Campden and The Noel Arms Hotel so you can get the best taste of Chipping Campden while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Broadway Tower, also known as Beacon or Fish Inn Tower, is a historic folly standing 65ft high atop a hill overlooking the village. Built in the late 18th century by the sixth Earl of Coventry's family, it was a retreat for William Morris and offers stunning views of up to 14 counties on clear days.
I have seen Broadway Tower from a distance many times, but never been inside and up to the top. I decided to do something about it so went in April this year. I went on a nice sunny week (school) day so it wasn't too busy. Wouldn't like to say how busy it may get at peak times? Well worth it, as I found it very interesting. Some stunning views to be had by going outside at the top. You can see for miles in all directions. Interesting layout in each of the rooms inside. Bet is was great to dine in the Tower. There is a nearby shop, toilets and café/restaurant and car parking. Can't quite remember how much it was, but can remember it's not that cheap. Not too far away are other attractions you can visit. There is a nuclear bunker, and the Lavender Fields at Snowshill. Can make for a great day out, with these attractions all in close proximity to each other.

This is a picturesque and historic attraction nestled in the Cotswolds. Built in the late 18th century, this iconic folly sits atop one of the highest points in the region, offering breathtaking views that stretch across multiple counties on a clear day. We arrived after closing time after 5pm. So, we parked just on the side road close to the entrance without needing to pay. I would say :narrow road nearer to the tower to drive. Didn't go in the tower but the views are worth the hike. Great shop and cafe. There is a pay park at the top during opening time. Not recommended for disabled access as there's a moderately steep hill & a good 10-15 minute walk. Lovely views over the countryside when you get there though & the Tower is majestic when you come to it. As it's quite small, you do have to wait for others to come so we didn't go inside on our visit. It's £5 to park, £14 per adult to go up the tower and £12 for the nuclear bunker experience. Views from the hill outside the tower however are free and spectacular, Visitors can explore its small but informative museum, enjoy peaceful walks through the surrounding country park, and even tour a Cold War-era bunker nearby.

First time visiting Broadway Tower and its park. You can visit the park for free and see the deers and the beautiful view overlooking the countryside. It’s nice if you like to have a long and quiet walk. I personally haven’t walked around much as if was raining but I visited the inside. The tower is quite small with only three rooms to see and a rooftop. You always have an audio guide with some audios and videos to see. Here you can learn about the history of the tower and also some immersive stories. It is very interesting. The tower is beautiful inside and out. During Christmas it’s decorated so even more magical. The view from the rooftop is also amazing. I spent around 45 minutes inside but I listened to the audioguide. If you don’t, you can visit the tower for 20 minutes or less. So I recommend only if you’re interested in history and want to take your time. However I think the ticket is a bit expensive for the size of the tower. At least you contribute to the maintenance so it’s a good thing but the ticket could be a bit less expensive.
Melanie M — Google review
An impressive landmark with great views but massively overpriced. We paid £3 to park and a further £4 each to access the “grounds” as we couldn’t justify an extra £10 each to go inside the tower. The grounds themselves were nothing special with no clear signposting or information boards, so even that felt like £8 wasted. There are also two car parks, two cafes and a clothes shop for some reason. I’d advise trying to park close to the entrance, where parking appeared to be free, and taking in the views from there. Walking to the tower is also a good option if time and mobility/fitness allows.
Adam P — Google review
Amazing experience! We booked tickets in advance and got to the tower early, before opening, to walk around and enjoy the view. Our tickets also included touring the WW II bunker located on the property nearby.
Laurie K — Google review
Lovely walk up to the tower. Lovely view of the countryside. Deer park with a stag and lots of does. Plenty of benches on the way up. But I didn't go into the tower as £14 entry!
Michael F — Google review
The Tower is a beautiful landmark, nearby there is a nice café with a second one just further down in construction nearly finished. On a nice day You can enjoy the panorama and is perfect for a nice walk. Near the tower there are some red deers. The 14£ to go on top of the tower a bit overpriced to my opinion, considering the £5 for parking. Also the Nuclear bunker is interesting but I am not sure if there is an extra charge for that one as well.

Always a lovely visit to Broadway Tower 😁😍💕 went with the family this time, and had afternoon tea at the cafe area for a birthday celebration. It was busy as it was in August on a Saturday in the summer holidays while the kids were off. Very nice place! Afternoon tea very good. Staff were nice.

The National Trust - Market Hall in Chipping Campden is a historic gem built in 1627 by Sir Baptist Hicks. It was originally constructed to provide shelter for market traders selling goods like butter, eggs, and poultry. The cobbled stone flooring bears the marks of centuries of foot traffic. Interestingly, the Market Hall narrowly escaped being sold and moved to America in the 1940s.
A lovely, lively town, full of character. It has beautiful, traditional stone buildings, and the streets are lined with quaint shops, cafes, and pubs. There’s a lot of history here, with a lovely church and old market place. It's a great place to explore, with plenty of places to stop and enjoy the local food. Chipping Camden feels a little busier than Snowshill, but it still has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It’s perfect for people who like a mix of history, shopping, and outdoor beauty.
Nivedha S — Google review
Is a lovely and well maintained building in the center of town. When we were there, a local market was running here with about 8-10 stalls. However, it’s a site that takes less than 5 minutes to see, and we didn’t feel was the highlight of our time in The Cotswolds or reason to go to Chipping Camden. I mean, if you are in the town, then walk by, but of all the things we saw on our road trip, this specific site was definitely over rated.
Alyssa B — Google review
Lovely little village but not much to do for children so very touristy as you'd expect - because that is the reason anyone comes here.
Michal B — Google review
On Sunday there are some stalls selling printings, weaving goods, antiques and glasses. We didn’t buy anything just a quick walk around for 10mins, the structure js stunning with authentic details, the uneven rock floors are very interesting.
Serena L — Google review
Five stars for longevity since constructed in 1627, for being the centre of Chipping Campden (CC) & National Trust historical landmark with timed car parking on one side. Built to provide shelter for traders then & still used as market on certain days. Cobbled floor is very uneven & there are gaps in the roof tiles as it probably was in its original state. More on CC village: loved its unaltered exterior of buildings on High Street since 14th century & the period buildings throughout the whole village. Oldest Grevel House built in 1380 is just a bit further from this Market Hall (at north end). Less touristy & without the huge coaches, it was relatively peaceful during my four day stay here in a nice cottage close to this Market Hall in Sept 2024. CC has olde world charm with coaching inns (now pubs & accom), Guild Craft workshops where you can buy hand crafted jewellery, medieval Church, Almshouses, thatched roof cottages with cloud hedges & much more... The village is a delight to wander around & walk the Cotswold Way - directions signposted & there is one beside this Market Hall.

A national trust property and still in use today. It was great to see that villagers still use this market hall as a market. When we visited there was a couple of stalls open and we stopped for a little look around before we set off on our walk to Broadway.

A lovely historic building, inside the floor is uneven with the cobbled floor being worn over the centuries. It was lovely to look up and see the rafters and plaques on the wall giving information.

The Bantam Tea Rooms & Guest House is a charming spot in Chipping Campden, featuring a traditional English feel with its honey-colored Cotswold stone building. The top level offers plenty of seating and a cozy atmosphere. While there are steps at the entrance, there's a grab rail for assistance. It's an ideal place to start the day with a hot cup of coffee and delicious tea cakes.
I stayed here for 3 nights in Room 3 which is a single and small but is lovely and has everything you could need. Nice and cool in the hot weather. Great location, a bonus to have parking, and the breakfasts were nice and quick (I was always in a hurry!). The staff were especially great - thank you for a great stay! (Oh and the cakes are amazing too 😊)

Food was good and the service was nice and friendly. BUT. The place was full of wasps, inside and outdoors. Maybe it’s seasonal but we then saw a hive in their garden, right in front of some outdoor dining tables. We saw other people moving tables trying to avoid the wasps, just like us. We had to finish the food quickly and take the coffee and deserts away. Very nice place with an unnecessary complication.

Amazing tea in Chipping Campden! We arrived after a walk and were awed by the scones, cakes, and drinks served by friendly and attentive staff. We sat out back in sight of the seventeenth-century guildhall. Couldn’t ask for a more picturesque experience with memorable delicious baked treats and fine tea.

We stopped here for a cream tea, and it was absolutely delightful! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, creating such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The scones were exceptional, freshly baked, perfectly fluffy on the inside, and served with delicious clotted cream and jam. Honestly, they were some of the best scones I’ve ever had! The tea was nicely brewed and complemented the scones beautifully. Overall, a charming spot with great service and wonderful treats. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! On a side note, the staff member we spoke to mentioned he’s expecting his first child, such lovely news, and we wish him all the best!

Beautiful tea rooms in the heart of Chipping Campden. We had a full English breakfast which was delicious and really good value for money. Service was spot on - really friendly and welcoming staff. We’ll definitely be back to try homemade cake (which look amazing!!)
Ellie — Google review
A little disclaimer to other travelers who are used to good service and fair prices: - it took the staff 5 minutes to just clean out table and we had to ask them for wiping our table and it was dirty like hell - you have to order at the front door and the staff ignores you completly when you do hand signs without any explanation. Therefore it took loads of minutes till we figured out how things work in there - the vegetarian breakfast wasnt enough to feel well fed. when ordering more toast be prepared to get robbed: one plain toast costs 2 pounds on top of 12,50 pounds per meal already. and for that the meal was plain, boring and not even well presented. so a quite underwhelming experience - the staff wasnt quite welcoming and seemes very stressed even tough they had a lot of personnel running around. maybe they should consider restructuring their way to work: you are not efficient when carrying one pot of coffee at a time... - the boss of the restaurant was nice tho. she wiped the dirty table when her staff failed to do so ✨ So in a nutshell: Better spend your money on something else- this breakfast wasn't worth it all. The location is nice and thats it. Very disappointing.
RIORDIAN — Google review
Went twice during a weekend visit - coffee is ok but it’s worth going just to watch the chaos in the shop. It’s like being part of Fawlty Towers - the organisation is terrible. First time we were shown to a table but no one took our order until we went to the till. Second visit we were given menus by the door and just left being told to look through- then the next staff member came up to say why didn’t you go to a free table? It’s comical

Da Luigi Bistro, an enchanting Italian eatery with delightful cuisine and friendly personnel, offers a small and cozy ambiance. The restaurant warmly accommodates families, even those with energetic young children, who can freely explore the premises without any fuss from Raffaele and his kind team. The overall experience is faultless, from the delectable range of dishes like their house wine, borata, two pasta choices, mussels, and tiramisu to the exquisite décor.
Wow! So nice to find authentic Italian cooking. Had the scallops for starters & the seafood linguine for a main course and both were delicious. The seafood linguini was perfectly 'al dente' & wasn't drowned in tomato sauce but rather just the right amount of fresh tomato and garlic so that you can taste al the flavours. Plus got to try the mussels too which were also delicious! Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at Da Luigi Bistro! Our group was quite large and arrived last minute, but Rafael, the manager, and his team welcomed us warmly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their professionalism and kindness really stood out. The food was authentic Italian and absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. From start to finish, the service was smooth and attentive, making us feel right at home. If you’re looking for genuine Italian cuisine paired with outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend Da Luigi Bistro. We’ll definitely be back!

Da Luigi Bistro is magnifico! The moment you walk in, it feels like la famiglia. Every bite tastes homemade — fatto con amore. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces bursting with fresh flavors, and the desserts? Delizioso! You can truly taste the passion in every dish. Authentic Italian in Chipping Campden!

My wife and I, my sister and my brother in law turned up at Da Luigi on Saturday night. Rafaelle told us he could get us in if we waited, and he did. What an utterly charming man. It was very busy but the staff were ralaxed and very attentive. The food for all of us was superb. I ve travelled to Italy a few times and so has my sister. We agreed that the food served here was right up there with food I ve eaten in Verona, Venice and Abruzzo. I could have kissed the chef I was so happy. It was that good, after staying the night in Chipping Campden we have just gone back there for Sunday lunch. We didn't want to leave. Hands down this is the best Italian eatery I ve eaten in, in the UK and even better than some in Italy. Its a beautiful clean, classy restaurant. Rafaelle and all the staff are a total credit to Da Luigi. We live an hours drive away but we can't wait to get back. Ps, the wife decided to treat me to lunch again. We just came back (11.10,25) it was wonderful again.

Wonderful staff. We walked in at ~5:45pm and they found a table for us. The pasta was good - well cooked. The arancini and panacotta were particularly good. It's a popular place, you need reservations unless you are dining early like we did.
Michael B — Google review
I’ve just been for dinner, food was ok but I wasn’t impressed (had pollo bbq pizza and couldn’t taste much more than the bbq sauce), maybe was expecting too much… pizza was a bit bland in my opinion, maybe should try a different one or a different meal, lovely staff/service. I’ll probably go back but no rush.

The food was incredibly delicious and fresh. We had the seafood linguine and lasagne, and mozarella foccacia. Service was great as well, everyone being super friendly and helpful!
Ileana L — Google review
For me this is exactly as I expected. Is it haute cuisine? No. Is it good? Yes! Great portions, good dishes, excellent and fast service. Is it noisy? Yes. Is that a problem? No. This is what you expect from a restaurant that has a good reputation and serves at least two seatings a night. It is a little crowded m, but again, it is an very good italian restaurant that offers great value for money, helpfull staff and an owner/ maitre that is in control, very welcoming and friendly. For me what makes a restaurant great is the combination of food, service and atmosphere and as I started for this restaurant it is all spot on!! Dont forget to book/ make reservations in advance. Thanks to the staff for two Great evenings and the owner for the wonderfull grappa’s, you know what I mean :). Were visiting from Belgium and will be back again.

National Trust - Dover's Hill is a 184-acre green space located near Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds. It stands at 230m above sea level, offering stunning views of the rolling countryside and the Vale of Evesham. The hill is famous for hosting the annual Cotswold Olimpicks, a traditional event dating back to 1612 that features activities like Morris dancing, tug-of-war, and shin-kicking.
Walked up here from Chipping Campden after visiting St James Church, to the edge of the village, up gated fields & joined Cotswold Way to get up here - my 1st taste of English countryside. Easier way will be to drive up here - free parking, though space is rather limited. A large location pointer indicates direction to faraway places like Stratford-upon-Avon, Birmingham etc. On a clear day, you can see forever but on 15 Sept last month - visibility was a tad hazy in the distance. Windy, tranquil with loads of sheep poo underfoot. Loved the views, serenity & the branded sheep!

Lovely view’s and great place to walk the dogs or take the kids to fly a kite.. if you have the just park app.. I would get your ticket before you go as signal isn’t the best in the car park 😬

Lovely walk - you can walk up from Chipping Campden or park at the top.(It's a National Trust car park and is £3 for anything over 1 hour. Signal is difficult at the top so not easy as you have to download the app and login!) We prefer to park for free at in Chipping Campden (Back Ends car park) and walk up. Beautiful views so definitely worth it! Quite steep in parts.

A lovely spot, fabulous views, but...there are now Justpark signs dotted around, and digital payment for parking will be brought in. I tried to download the app and register my National Trust card, but the signal there is poor, so was unable to do so. We left after 10 minutes without leaving the car park, for fear of getting a fine. What a faff just for a spontaneous walk. 5 stars for the natural beauty of the place, one deducted for not being able to get out and enjoy it.

Overpriced for underwhelming sandwiches and overall poor service. I stayed in the hotel a few years ago and never got to try the bistro so wanted to try on this return visit to the area. Got served quickly and the waitress was pleasant but when I gave my honest feedback about the desert (completely bland and not as described at all on the menu) I expected her to 1. Apologise (not even one sorry was uttered) 2. Tell the chef (I suggested she do so) 3. Offer an alternative or offer to remove from the bill (neither action was taken). This is lack of training for staff. Don’t get your staff to ask if everything was ok - but then take zero action when you tell them it’s not. What’s the point? As another reviewer said, I could see why it was empty despite it being lunch time. Sadly will not be returning.

Terrible service. After sitting for 20 mins at our reserved table, we asked for menus and drinks, which then took another 20 mins to arrive. We were the only diners there so they definitely weren't busy! When the water arrived, the server spilled it into my sister's handbag. The bar was unattended. The soup was cold, the gravy with the pie was so thick you could slice it, and there wasn't even a suggestion of an artichoke in the artichoke gnocchi. When we asked to pay, they had no record of what we'd had, so we had to relay our order and wait another 15 mins while they confirmed it. There was clearly a very good reason it was empty. You couldn't pay me to go there again.

Rushed ! We had a table of four booked at 8 on a Saturday evening for a 50th birthday. First impressions of the hotel and bar area looked a little past its best and lacking in atmosphere. We were greeted and shown to our table in the fig restaurant which was not very warm and had only a few diners. The menu was varied and nice. Our waiting staff were very friendly and polite. But we had eaten our starters and mains within an hour of sitting down offered dessert before we’d finished licking our lips from our main. We did however ask for a breather and they left us alone for 20mins All four of us enjoyed our food but just felt it was all very rushed. I feel some of these restaurants are missing a trick as all hard work is done getting you through the front door only to rush you through and out as quickly as possible. If more time had been given between courses we definitely would have had another couple of bottles of wine and maybe after dinner drinks etc. Our spend could have been increased greatly. Just my opinion.

We were very disappointed with the standard of food here. It wasn't awful, but all of our party felt all dishes lacked seasoning and flavour. We had a cheese soufflé that had the thickness of a pancake and a very fatty steak. The male staff here are attentive, and courteous, the female member of staff not so. 2 x starters, 3 x mains, 2 x pud & btl very average white wine £200

We enjoyed our stay at the Noel Arms. The building was kind of like a maze with squeaky floors, but that added to the charm. We really liked our room and were happy to see that it had a bathtub. It was nice to have a soak after a long day walking. The service was fine, maybe not quite as welcoming as some of the other places we stayed, but perfectly adequate. Only critique is that we got a cookie from the cafe in the lobby and it seemed quite stale. The location was ideal for exploring the lovely village of Chipping Campden. We'd certainly stay here again!

Staff were professional but in a robotic sort of way, especially at the front desk where I was booked in and out efficiently but without a smile a welcome or a cheery farewell. And breakfast was a complete shambles with the buffet table stripped bare by 09:00 (and not replenished) and we had to wait over 20 minutes to be served cooked food. All in all the Noel Arms has sadly been the low point in value for money terms of our ten or more Cotswold stays over the last two years. We will not be going back as there are simply far too many better places close by at cheaper rates.

Two words. Don't bother. I so wanted to enjoy my 2 night stay here. The room was OK but upstairs looks very tired. The Hotel is let down by the breakfast offering. Had to pre order my breakfast the night before. I ordered full English the first morning. Had to wait 1/2 hour before it arrived. Quite a small breakfast and I would have preferred my sausage cooked more. Very anaemic sausage that was just about cooked. Changed my breakfast the next morning to scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. After 35 minutes this meagre breakfast turned up. No apology for the long wait. Atmosphere in the restaurant is like being at church. Sorry but I won't be returning

I popped in here for dinner with my friend and my parents. Me and my dear mother had the beef curry and my colleague and father had the chicken curry. Chicken curry was a nice safe delicious choice for the 2 chaps. Beef is obviously like playing Russian roulette with a loaded desert eagle, could be succulent delicious meat or could be like chewing on something ant and dec feed you in the jungle. Mine as superb and succulent however my mother caught the brunt and was left with half her meat inedible. However the staff took the meal off the bill and everyone left happy. Lovely pub! Every meal we’ve ever had in there is top notch so can’t really fault the place.

Hotel in a good location, basic room light and clean, bed comfortable. First night dinner disappointed, we were in the restaurant at 7 pm, after finishing the first course we waited almost half an hour for the staff to clear the table, by which time it was 8:45 pm. Other guests came in after us have finished two courses, and enjoying their after dinner drinks, while we're losing patience for the second course. We were embarrassed by the curious look from other guests, wondering the reason we were not treated equally could be because my wife is of ethnic minorities.....?!?!

Great coffee, and delicious scones with enormous amount of cream. The real treat though was the lovely lady, Debra, that served us. Such a delightful welcoming host who made our day after a long drive. Highly recommended, we’ll be back!

We had the most wonderful experience staying at Noel Arms Hotel! Perfect location in Chipping Camden easy access to wonderful walks. Maisie at front desk was absolutely wonderful and so very helpful for recommendations and just so pleasant! Loved dining at the restaurant and really enjoyed the Sri Lankan Red Lamb curry made by the chef! We enjoyed every bit of our visit and will be back again next year!!! Highly recommend this wonderful hotel!

Only popped in for lunch so never saw the rooms. Located right in the heart of Chipping Camden, very beautiful building with lovely historical points. We visited on the time of the local Olimpick games. Town was pedestrianised anyway more about our meal experience, I had a lovely pint of local Cotswolds ale. So I chose the burger and fries excellent all-round my wife had the haddock and chips. Debra was our server and was very helpful. The meal was of good size and well displayed. Reasonable price and as mentioned great friendly staff. Many thanks

Indian restaurant
Located in Chipping Campden, Maharaja Indian Cuisine is a top choice for those craving classic Indian dishes with a twist. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with unique options that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The friendly and knowledgeable staff provide excellent service, ensuring that every guest's needs are met. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by the shared bar from the adjacent Victory Inn pub, adding to the overall experience of dining at Maharaja Indian Cuisine.
Excellent seafood curry. We were originally offered Indian fair from our hotel, but their menu seemed a little limited. We found maharaja just about a five minute walk. This is our first restaurant stop and the Cotswolds as we start our trek down the Cotswolds way. We visited and put in a reservation for 6 PM . We arrived a little early and had a cider and beer at the pub out front. Great friendly local place with very affordable ciders and beers. We arrived a little after six for our reservation and were seated immediately. They have an extensive offering it was really hard to choose . I started with the Adha scallops - it had a light ginger and herb flavoring on the baby scallops. For dinner I had the Bangla fish Tawa- it has shrimp and shellfish in it, and the sauce is described as sensational, hot, sweet and tangy relish sauce - it was a light brown sauce that was indeed fantastic and slightly tangy. I would definitely order this again. I also had a side order of saag. We had garlic naan for the table. Other table favorites included the duck . The tandoori duck starter was excellent. For our rice accompaniment, we had the coconut rice that has a little bit of sweetness to it and the fried rice which was more savory.

We enjoyed the warm welcome from the friendly staff and were seated quickly. It's a good selection of specials and regular curries on offer at very reasonable pricing. With the pub next door there's a good drink selection too. We enjoyed popadums, a lamb biryani and a Jalfrezi. The spice levels were great, not too hot and really well cooked. Highly recommended!

Authentic Indian food in the center of Chipping Camden! What more can you ask for? Excellent service from our host who recommended the dishes you see in the pictures.

Visiting the Cotswolds ( chipping Camden) for a few days, looking forward to having a curry while we're up here and was recommended The Marahaja Indian restaurant adjacent to the Volunteer Inn. We booked a table & visited on a Tuesday where they have banquet night, but decided to order some chef specials from the menue. My wife had a duck dish and I had a lamb shank, the food was delicious, tasty and especially flavoursome, one of the best Currys I have had in a while. I must say the service was exceptional and the manager Mehedi was very attentive without being OTT, in fact the staff were very professional. If your visiting the Cotswolds and fancy a curry, then give this one a go you won't be disappointed.

Delicious! Just finished my first curry (takeaway) from here, and it blew me away. I wasn't expecting it to be so good! I ordered Lamb Pathia and a garlic nan. The lamb was so soft and succulent, and the sauce was perfect: medium spiced, sweet, and tangy sour. Soft nan bread as well. The price was very reasonable too. I'll definitely be going back.

Friendly fast service and INCREDIBLE food. The butter chicken and coriander chicken was so so good, this place deserves all its 5 star reviews.

Great find with an interested selection of dishes. One not to miss a visit too, if in the area. Food and service were first class. We were lucky and got a table, but may be better if you can book. It was very busy. Best ever was having a Gluten Free beer to wash it down with. 😊

Lovely meal at Maharaja. The restaurant is in the courtyard behind, but attached to the Victory Inn pub. Classic Indian restaurant style menu but with some unique dishes. The staff were really fantastic and we were served by Mehede who looked after us all evening and was very quick to attend to every request. Great that the bar from the pub is shared with the restaurant, and you can see the kitchens as you walk in!

Bed & breakfast
Pub
Nestled in the charming town of Chipping Campden, The Volunteer Inn B&B is a delightful stone-built establishment that exudes history and character. This 17th-century inn offers cozy accommodations and features a traditional pub atmosphere where guests can savor both English and Indian cuisine. With its inviting ambiance, it's the perfect spot to unwind with locally brewed ales while catching up on sports or enjoying live music events that enhance the lively vibe.
My wife and daughter stayed here for 3 nights and were happy with our decision. The pub downstairs has all the English feel that an American could hope for with a healthy selection of English cask ales. We were greatly pleased with the breakfast in the mornings and that the Inn was able to provide a cot for our little one.

We stopped here while cycle touring through the Cotswolds. Great value for Chipping Campden & perfect for a quick overnight stay. Staff really helpful with finding somewhere to lock our bikes up for the night. Breakfast plentiful!

a great value place to stay in a lovely little Cotswalds village. The bar below is very nice with sports on big screens and a friendly atmosphere, and the room was very good for the price. The breakfast was good and the staff let us put bikes in a back shed out the rain overnight.

A great B&B in Chipping Campden. The town becomes quiet at night and this Inn and it's pub gets noisy. But it's a nice feeling to be part of the pub. The Bangladeshi run Indian Restaurant is not really Indian food. They need to employ real Indian cooks to do up the food.

A very warm welcome but the wrong room(no.9) for 2 walkers walking the Cotswold Way. We were above the bar and kept awake till well past midnight by noisy darts players. Not a good start to our holiday

We didnt stay at the Volunteer Inn hotel but as a crowd, we managed to book a table of 11 couples last Saturday, our crowd were in high spirits after a friends fantastic wedding in Chipping Campden on the Friday and we were probably not the quietest ! The food was delicious, service was brilliant, the staff were very friendly and even accommodated our request for Indian music, to which our crowd of 22 attempted to dance along to !!!! Hopefully we didn't upset the regular punters and would definitely re-visit the Volunteer when we return to Chipping Campden.
