Fosseway Garden Centre

Garden center
Cafe
Fosseway Garden Centre is a charming stop for holidaymakers, offering not only a wide selection of plants and gardening accessories but also an array of home and kitchen items. Visitors can enjoy browsing through the neatly laid out displays, which include a lovely clothing range and quality local produce. The center's revamp has made it an even more appealing destination, with highlights such as a well-stocked butcher shop and an excellent garden machinery section.
Fantastic garden centre and café—both dog-friendly! The staff were very welcoming to Roxy. Cafe was excellent, with a great layout and attentive, helpful staff. The food was perfect. The garden centre is well-organized, offering a wonderful selection of unique and charming items—some great finds!

Visited this place on a whim really as Google said it sold clothes, and was looking for some mens boots. The garden centre is set out in a really nice location and the parking is really good and accessible too. Inside it's really nice, lovely selection of plants ans bits and bobs, typical to garden centres. Only let down was they only sell Ladies clothes which wasn't stated. They also have a cafe selling usual cakes jacket potatoes and sandwiches. I'd recommend a visit I'd you're in the area because all the staff are very welcoming and friendly

Lovely garden centre with an excellent soft play for the kids. They also have some great kitchen items and a lovely butchers and a small frozen food section. Cafe is also nice.

This is a lovely large garden centre to look around........It has something for everyone with all of its different departments inside..... With a large food hall full of local produce etc,a big restaurant,a clothes area ,garden machinery and of course all of your plants and everything you will need for your garden......A great place to pop into for a good look around....👍

Lovely stop off when I pick my mum up, great food and quirky gift ideas along with lovely plants and garden decorations. Even had a local butchers in store offering fresh cuts. Is a little pricey but what you expect in a small village. Love this place
Cara M — Google review
Fosseway had been taken over by Blue Diamond since our last visit so we lowered our expectation to be honest. The food had always been so good. We had lunch in the cafe, which physically was the same so there was plenty of seating available. The menu was different to the last Blue Diamond we been to, it seemed better in variety and type of food offered. I chose a jacket potato with baked beans, no butter on potato, no dressing on salad. To my surprise that is exactly what I got! And it was piping hot! This rarely happens with this very simply request so I got off to a good start. My husband ordered their house beef burger as is. It was perfectly cooked, slight hint of juicy, all the trimmings as expected. The quality of the beef far exceeded that! Peak time the service was a little slow, but normal for that time of day. All around us people finished their meals and left, it was noticeable how quickly, quietly and efficiently the tables were cleared - cleaned - and made ready. It is remarkable because so many establishments do not train their staff to do this task effectively. I thought the food section of the store might have carried way more stock in variety and selection. It remains to be seen if their business model can sustain it. The clothes, shoes, household wares were perhaps different brands but still pedestrian, nothing special. There was however, a section on children’s books and learning ‘aids’ that was very interesting. The plants were beautifully presented, healthy and varied. Not as individual as it used to be but nevertheless worth a visit. It is refreshing to come upon trained, happy and efficient staff.
Eilish H — Google review
Visited the cafe yesterday. 2 of my friends order jacket potatoes which arrived cold. They did complain and they were replaced with hot ones. The filling on the bacon and brie jacket was sparse and when this was mentioned the girl said only two pieces of brie were allowed in the jackets. On saying that she said a bit more had been added to the hot jacket but this was a one-off. Her attitude was not very pleasant. My ciabatta was ranch chicken, onion and cheese. The chicken was brown and very unpleasant. All in all our lunch experience was not very enjoyable and we will not be visiting again.
Stephen A — Google review
Great place. Love the revamp. Quality local produce with a real butchers. There are lots of things here to buy loved ones for Christmas, as well as some less appealing tat. Well thought out and planned layout. A good alternative to Burford, at more economic prices. The garden machinery section is excellent.

Tea house
Breakfast restaurant
Coffee shop
Rixy's Cotswold Tearoom, located on the High Street, is a charming stop for a delightful homemade breakfast and lunch experience. The tearoom offers an array of delectable options including Full English breakfast, American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, as well as gluten-free cakes and scones. Visitors can also indulge in a scrumptious afternoon tea featuring tasty sandwiches, soft and fresh bread, heavenly scones, and delicious cakes.
This was our first visit to the Cotswolds and we wanted to get the full authentic afternoon tea experience as we've never had it before and let me tell you booking at Rixy's was the best choice we could have made! The afternoon tea had to be ordered and paid for in advance because they are making the food fresh to order which I think is fantastic! When we arrived, we had a really warm welcome and the staff were so friendly. There was basically no wait to have our drinks order taken and the food arrived promptly after. In terms of the food, this place is such a treat! The afternoon tea here was divine. Everything was freshly baked, the ingredients they used were extremely fresh and the food tasted amazing, I honestly wouldn't change a thing. I would highly recommend coming here for afternoon tea or even lunch when you get a chance, you will not regret it!
Denisa T — Google review
We went here twice for breakfast. The only reason we didn't go three times was because we had to be on the train before it opened. We were impressed with the gluten-free options. There were several guests who had their dogs. The coffee, tea, and the main dishes were all wonderful!
Valerie J — Google review
Nice, cozy tearoom. The quiche and avocado on sourdough we ordered were fresh and tasty. The flat while coffee was great. All served in a welcoming atmosphere.
Shahid J — Google review
Visited today having been gifted a voucher for afternoon tea, and it didn’t disappoint! A super friendly welcome, our table already reserved with water on hand. Our drinks order was taken, and swiftly arrived at our table. Then the main event, possibly the best afternoon tea we’ve ever tasted. Unbelievably fresh ingredients, the flavours were out of this world. Honestly, if you’re looking for afternoon tea, or even a good breakfast or lunch, in the Cotswolds, look no further! Thank you all at Rixy’s for a true 5 star experience.
Mark H — Google review
We sat in the cute garden. The gluten-free scones were so good! A choice of plain, fruited or savoury with jam and clotted cream. The price for 2 scones included coffee or tea, and was very reasonable. Will be back as we're local and there were plenty of gluten - free options. Friendly people working there too. 😊
Karen T — Google review
Lovely place with great lunch and sweets! Everything we ordered is super lovely, scone served nice and warm. We love the Avocado, mushroom on sourdough a lot. The special menu of the day served the apple crumble which is nice and not too sweet! Will come back again for the afternoon tea!
Kate L — Google review
Had a delicious cream tea here. Everything thing tasted great and it’s well worth visiting if you’re in the area although you should definitely pre book as it’s quite popular. The staff were friendly and went the extra mile as I have a serious allergy. Sandwich’s were delicately made and yummy as well as the selection of cakes. Highly recommend
Thomas J — Google review
Tried this café recently and had mixed feelings. The food was tasty and the service was genuinely excellent—friendly and attentive throughout. Their white mocha is a standout and definitely worth trying. However, there was a serious issue with the gluten-free labeling. I ordered a “gluten-free breakfast” which came with regular gluten bread. This could be dangerous for anyone with a gluten allergy or coeliac disease. When asked, staff didn’t seem fully aware of the risk. If you require a strict gluten-free diet, I’d recommend avoiding until they clarify their menu and kitchen practices. The space is also quite small, and when a couple of people brought in dogs, it quickly became cramped. Cozy, yes—but not ideal during busy periods especially with a couple of wet dogs in the space . A great café for coffee lovers without dietary restrictions, but disappointing (and potentially harmful) for those who need gluten-free options.

Pub
Bar
The Bell Inn is a charming 19th-century inn located in Moreton-in-Marsh, featuring simple rooms with exposed stone walls and complimentary WiFi. The inn also boasts a beer garden for guests to enjoy. Many believe that The Bell Inn served as the inspiration for The Prancing Pony in J.R.R. Tolkien's town of Bree, citing similarities such as the three-story building and courtyard entrance.
I’ve stayed at The Bell quite a few times now and every time it doesn’t disappoint, always had a great experience. The rooms are lovely and beds so comfortable. Service is top notch with friendly staff always on hand. The location is perfect for exploring! If you’re looking for an overnight stay in the Cotswolds this in the place. The pub also has regular live music on at weekends and the food there is great!
Laura F — Google review
Stayed here overnight, for two separate stays. On both occasions, it was not during a weekend. We liked the sympathetic renovation of rooms and younger staff at the bar were friendly and helpful. However both our overnight stays, at the beginning and end of a week’s walking, were marred by noise and smoking in the outside courtyard area. On both occasions in two different rooms, we couldn’t open the window of our room onto the courtyard because of cigarette smoke. Even following discussion with the manager, on the second occasion, no assistance was forthcoming. When we booked from Australia 9 months in advance, we specifically requested a quiet room away from large noisy bookings. According to the manager, his wife made the booking. therefore he was not responsible. It would have been more honest to advise that this was not possible instead of taking our booking and our money. Disappointed at the lack of honesty. I’m only sorry I cannot provide a recording of the noise directly outside our room. Do not stay here if you want peace and quiet.
Christine M — Google review
A wonderful historic inn right in the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh. Full of charm, with great food (the Sunday roast is a must), cosy rooms, and friendly staff who make you feel at home. What makes it even more special is its link to J.R.R. Tolkien — it’s said he and his brother used to meet here, and you can easily imagine the conversations that may have inspired parts of Middle-earth. A memorable and atmospheric place to stay — highly recommended for both travellers and Tolkien fans.

What a great find. Just minutes walking distance from the train station. Historic Inn with ties to JRR Tolkein. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Our spacious room was #2 upstairs so they took our luggage up for us. Nicely decorated, clean with nice amenities. Surprisingly quiet as connected to lovely wee pub. We had a pint or two ... there. The breakfast was delicious full English which came with our room. Heads up, stairs to upstairs room are outside. Easy walking distance to all things Moreton in Marsh. Love the dog friendly culture in the Cotswolds. Inn Keepers dog, Findley, was there to greet us and had his favorite place to relax in the pub.

Cannot answer about as only had Sunday lunch here. Ordering was simple. Staff were efficient and polite and chatty. Food came out quite quickly and very hot. Well worth the cost of the meal. Thought there would be more people in the inn and those that did come in went through to the tables outside, well it was a very sunny day. I would recommend this place for a relaxed time with good, locally sourced food.
David N — Google review
Had a drink here. Food looked nice. Great location, beer garden good, only issue was it is a bit cramped, too many tables making it difficult to walk through without having to ask others to move. Decent sized covered area.

Played .any gigs here over the years and it never disappoints. Great staff, good Guinness and a warm friendly atmosphere. Location is lovely and the area is great for a weekend break or overnight stay.

Bourton House Garden is a renowned garden located at an 18th-century estate in Bourton-on-the-Hill, Gloucestershire. The three-acre garden features eclectic topiaries, vibrant plantings, and luxurious terraces with stunning combinations of plants, textures, and colors.
One of the best garden you could visit. Friendly reception lady handing out garden maps. £10 is far too cheap. Cafe and gifts area lovely and historic. The garden is planted out stunningly in many different areas. Topiary exquisite. Across the road the arboretum is well worth a stroll too.
Andrew D — Google review
The gardens are relatively compact; imaginatively designed, immaculately maintained, and full of interest. They complement the lovely house (private) perfectly. Cafe and small shop in the adjacent tithe barn. The woodland walk away from the car park across the road is also very pleasant. A really enjoyable visit.

I've visited Bourton House garden about 6 years ago and enjoyed it, so decided I'd take my sister for a visit recently. I have to say I'm so pleased I've gone back. The gardens aren't huge but they are packed full of beautiful plants and exciting and unusual planting combinations. You'll see everything from British natives and common garden plants to exotic gems and rare beauties. I particularly enjoyed the combinations of aeoniums and pelargoniums in large pots. There's many different garden rooms, each with their own charms and themes. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. There's delicious cakes and snacks to be had. A really well worth visiting garden.

Restaurant
Timothy's Restaurant offers a wonderful variety of delicious dishes to suit every preference. Their Sunday lunch options include roast beef and gammon meals, served in generous portions. The restaurant also provides outdoor seating, some of which is covered for convenience. They provide efficient and prompt service, ensuring that meals are delivered quickly even during busy periods. The spacious and well-lit restaurant creates a pleasant dining atmosphere without feeling overcrowded or unclean.
Had a lovely breakfast. Staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant is laid out nicely with plenty of room. Dog friendly area too. Roxy certainly enjoyed her visit.
Helen S — Google review
Stopped by for a mid-morning coffee and a cake / pastry. Mum and I both thought the almond pastry looked a little bit burned. Waitress said "oh no it's not" so we ordered one. I ordered Bakewell tart. Ma said her pastry was awful. I didn't think much of the Bakewell either. As well as the burnt underside of the almond pastry, both items were the wrong consistency - heavy and stodgy. We won't going to eat them so called one of the waitresses over; she asked the manager to come to talk to us. She explained that they don't make those particular cakes; they buy them from somewhere else. What does that have to do with anything I wonder? If you sell a product, you have to be happy with the quality of it. It was only when we went on to say that we had wasted our money that she offered us something else. We think she could have dealt with us a bit better. I would have been straight in there with an apology; that is exactly what I teach the tourism and hospitality industry in my training workshops. The cappuccino was good and the cafe itself is spacious, nicely decorated with indoor and outdoor seating areas. We only stopped here for coffee because we were shopping in Fosseway Garden Centre. It wasn't my mum's first choice and now I can see why 🤷🏻‍♀️
Charlotte M — Google review
Oh dear, nice menu, that's where it ends. Not clear it was table service, sat for a while before I had to ask, that was after the hunt for the menu! Chiabatta had a soggy bottom, crisps were soft and stale, the salad oh my, cucumber was soft and yellow tinged, salad leaves slightly weathered and there was so much dressing, perhaps to disguise everything? Disappointing as my partner's ham, egg and chips was okay and plate was cleared.
Gilli G — Google review
Full English was very good, proper portion if a little tired from being pre-prepared, didn’t affect the flavour/value. Would Have been 5 stars but for the grumpiest server on the planet, a smile costs nothing and makes a big difference!
Warwickian — Google review
My wife and I had lunch at Timothy’s upon arriving in the Cotswolds. The garden centre and restaurant had been recommended to us, and it’s easy to see why. We both ordered the coronation chicken on naan bread, which arrived within five minutes and was absolutely delicious, not to mention very good value. We would definitely eat here again as there were lots of other options on the menu. Excellent.
Adam P — Google review
Extensive and varied menu. I found the cottage pie I ordered, disappointing as it was more a potatoe pie than a cottage pie. My friend had a baked potato, which looked good.
David H — Google review
We loved our food. Fast service; brilliant presentation. Everyone was polite. Garden centre also fab!
Deborah G — Google review
Sadly not as good as it was. There are several building projects going on and leaving the retail area lacking and extremely cramped. Walkways are littered with boxes and display material making it impossible to get around, especially if disabled. Timothys was well before par too. I usually stop here on my journey down the fosse but my experience today means next time I shall keep driving and give this place a miss. The cakes in Timothys were stale and inedible, the hot drink was welcome but £14 for 2 cakes and 2 coffees is extortion and certainly when we each had a different cake and neither could be fully eaten because they were stale. We left disgusted.

Fish and chips takeaway
Restaurant
The Mermaid Fish Bar is a local fish and chips takeaway that offers high-quality, fresh seafood at reasonable prices. Located on the way to work, many people pass by this shop daily, eagerly waiting for their turn to try the delicious offerings. The cod and chips are particularly noteworthy, with the cod being tender and flaky while covered in a delightful batter. The chips are light yet crispy, providing the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful fish.
Another visit, a new experience. Chips were good. But this time the fish batter was soggy a soaked in oil. If this was our only experience I wouldn't be returning.
Kevin T — Google review
Embarrassingly small portions considering there is no choice for what size bag you have. £3 for what I would call a child’s portion in any other decent chip shop. The chips taste good but this place are monopolising on the fact that they are the only chip shop in town. Do better guys, potatoes are cheap.
Gregory L — Google review
This is a fantastic option for dining in the Cotswalds. I am an unabashed foodie and have experienced 5 star dining across the world and have a soft spot for more casual and straightforward fare. This place absolutely hits the spot. You don’t get white table cloths and silverware, but the fish is unmatched. They do something special with their batter, as the freshness of the fish is not overwhelmed with a heavy layer of greasy dough. The service is prompt, friendly, and comfortably low key (only cash is accepted, by the way). A great, relaxing experience with the best fried fish I have had in the Cotswalds thus far. Thank you for reminding me how great fish and chips can be if prepared properly!

Small, clean chip shop serving everything you’d expect. Friendly staff. Good veggie and vegan options. High quality chips! Some of the best I’ve had. Crisp, fluffy inside and piping hot. Note- cash only.
Jimbob2195 — Google review
I never normally leave reviews but I just have to for this place. We came to order 2 portions of fish and chips and it turned out they only took cash but we didn’t have any cash or debit cards on us (only Apple Pay) and therefore couldn’t withdraw cash. Very disorganised of us, I know! We’d already had such a bad day and we were both about ready to cry and go home. The man behind the counter let us have a free portion worth £9, no questions asked. So lovely and kind and it was a big portion too, so was enough for us both really. So grateful for his kindness. Was also absolutely delicious and crispy fish!!!
Rhiannon S — Google review
Fish and chips were lovely, bought trays for them rather than being wrapped in paper. The two gents in the shop were very friendly but the girl on the till was extremely miserable and certainly lacked people skills, no smiles or pleases or thank yous. Shame as it spoilt the experience of a friendly fish and chip shop
Jill C — Google review
This is an amazing chip shop. Spotless , great staff and most of all the food is top nosh ! Would recommend this fish and chip shop to anyone . We stay in the Morton on marsh caravan sight and go every time worth the 5 minutes walk, and is our local fish and chip shop to . You will not regret going here . The cod is priceless . I love the cod that much I had a large and a small !

This place's fish and chips are better than Rock and Sole in London. No seating (it's a small take-out / take away location). Great portions for about 9 pounds (2025). Service has always been great as well.

Nestled in the heart of Morton, the Redesdale Arms is a charming 17th-century coaching inn that seamlessly blends historic elegance with modern comfort. While some amenities like shower fixtures may need attention, the overall experience is enhanced by an exceptional restaurant known for its diverse menu and attentive staff.
I stayed here for a total of three nights over a week of walking in the area. I greatly enjoyed my room and the food. The rooms are quiet and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is wonderful and dinner in the restaurant is excellent. I had the marinated chicken, which was moist and delicious. This is a wonderful inn.

Very lovely hotel in a great location! We had a second floor room and it was a decent size. This hotel does not have air-conditioning however they provide a fan in the room, which was all it needed. Breakfast was quite nice as well. I would highly recommend staying here!

Had a lovely meal the food was superb ! super relaxed atmosphere and the hotel staff were very helpful, as we had a major misunderstanding with our booking on line through a booking.com. Which meant that we could not stay as the hotel was fully booked.( our anniversary weekend) But the staff member / manger (apologies did not get his name ) was so very helpful even tried to find us another hotel. We got sorted in the end so just wanted to say thanks for being helpful & kind and going above and beyond meant a lot. We will be coming back to stay in January, hopefully all being well.x

We've stayed here a couple of times before, and always found things as close to perfect as possible. On this particular visit, we're staying elsewhere, but have visited the Redesdale for dinner last night and this evening (with a cheeky couple of mid-afternoon beverages in between). The Roast Dinner was the best we've had in a long time, the Lamb rump and Peri chicken this evening were both cooked to perfection. Big thanks to Richard who has made us feel so welcome and who was so friendly, subtle, and helpful, with a really pleasant nature. Would recommend here to anyone. Many thanks.

So disappointed. We are on holiday and planned our entire day around a late lunch here. We checked the website and it said food served between 12 - 9pm and we also popped in at around 10am this morning to confirm they were serving food all day. We returned at 2:45pm for a late lunch only to discover the chef had decided to close the kitchen until 5pm. Absolutely unacceptable. The lovely receptionist saved the day for us and found us another restaurant option which served late lunch.

Our second time of visiting this Hotel and would rate it well with a few caveats. The room was spacious with a huge queen sized bed but it lacked secure ventilation. The ill fitting doors lead out a shared courtyard and was the only means of fresh air. The staff are lovely and very passionate about the hotel. It is due to be refurbished as part of a makeover with the new owners, I hope they realise the staff are an integral part of the experience.

Went for a long weekend in the second week of September and have to say that although I have been to Moreton-in-Marsh a number of times this was probably the best hotel. Good location on the high St and parking at the back. Staff are very helpful and will go out of their way to help you. Will definitely be back

The Horse & Groom is a gastropub located in Wiltshire, near the Thames Path. The pub, housed in a 17th century building, has retained its historical charm with features such as log fires and antique decorations. It offers a welcoming atmosphere to visitors and serves homemade pub food like roast ham, eggs, and chips. The restaurant provides a three-course meal using locally-sourced produce and seasonal ingredients.
We dined at the h&g for my birthday. Didn't get off to a fabulous start as their system had lost our table booking (ironic after their frankly over the top email threats of £75 per person charges for any hypothetical non-arrival or late changes). However, luckily they still had room for our party, and the rest of the experience was fantastic. service was attentive and friendly. They had a couple of very nice nonalcoholic cocktails (the elderberry cooler was my favourite). We shared some fried pickles and taramasalata while thinking, then I had the heritage tomatoes for a starter and a satisfyingly cheesy soufflé for main, some fries to accompany. All excellent. We were there for a couple of hours all told. A very pleasant meal

Nice pub with welcoming staff. Good beers and a lovely garden with views. Have been visiting for thirty years under different management. My last meal there was awful and at the top end of the pricing scale for pubs in the area. Not sure if it has changed hands or new chef, but the meal was embarrassingly bad. So, three star, but for staff, drinks and garden I would give five stars. For food one star.

Brilliant pub. Food is excellent. A main is around £20. Definitely book for lunch time, but this is much more nice than eating in Moreton. Plus it did help that there was a celebrity wedding lunch happening at the same time. If they chose to come here, it must be good

What an absolutely wonderful experience at Horse and Room! We had dinner here this evening with our two little ones. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and full of charm. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive especially kind and patient with the children, which we truly appreciated. The children’s meals were spot on, and it was lovely to be able to relax and enjoy our own dinner. In short, Horse and Room is an absolute gem, perfect for families as well as anyone who enjoys good food in a relaxed and welcoming setting. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We have stayed here before but now we found it even better than before. Lovely large room overlooking the garden. Evening meal was very good indeed with a huge choice on the menu and the breakfast outstanding. All staff were very friendly. We will be back!

We called here twice ,just for drinks. Next time we are in the area we will definitely have food, as it looked very good. The ambience was excellent and bar service was the same. The quality of the beer and wine was good, at a reasonable price.

Went for a Sunday roast and hands down one of the best I've ever had. Exactly the right portion sizes, the food itself was delicious and a fair value. The views are great too. Pub has a fire which kept everyone warm and even had a dog curled up next to it. Would recommend and will be back.

Food was amazing but went significantly downhill when we were forgotten about after our mains for 30 mins until we had to get up and request the bill ourselves. We would of enjoyed desserts if we had the opportunity to have them.

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like National Trust - Chastleton House. Not quite as popular as Wellington Aviation, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 14 hours.

National Trust - Chastleton House is a grand 17th-century family estate located in Oxfordshire. The estate features a conserved Jacobean garden that has undergone an impressive transformation to restore it close to its original design, with highlights including a parterre surrounded by topiary and colorful herbaceous plants.
Really enjoyed this place cobwebs dust and dirty kitchen ceiling. It's a true time capsule with knowledgeable staff. I think this is now my new favourite National Trust property. It was a real pleasure to look around and see how this house has stood the ravages of time and no money to make alterations. The staff/volunteers are passionate about the house and it shows.
Elaine R — Google review
Interesting to visit, national Trust have completed essential maintenance and left the house as it was occupied so a point in time house. Opportunity to see the way of life in times gone by. Nice gardens to visit and the church offers hot drinks and cake. Opens at 13.00 but check website. Parking available with a downhill walk through fields to the house and return is uphill through fields.
Anne G — Google review
It’s beyond belief to note that both post codes shown in the book and Google throw you a distance away from the entrance car park that is also located an uncomfortable walking distance away from the main house. However, once you get to the house the staff are helpful and welcoming. The interior of the house is reminiscent to more like a chamber of horror with badly worn out furniture, uneven steps and creaking floor boards. There’s smell of old decaying wood and masonry and with no taste of decor who lived there in the past. It’s a great eye opener. It’s a bonus to be served tea and coffees by very helpful and polite staff in the well looked after church. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained with tastefully trimmed hedges and plants. 👍

Amazing place. Untouched, still as it was when the last occupier left. Great nostalgic atmosphere here. Lovely gardens. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Lovely church next door that serve hot drinks and cake 😋 There is a bit of a walk from the car park through a farmers field down to the house but there is a disabled drop off spot nearby.
Tracy H — Google review
Beautiful place to visit. The history of a family who have lived in a house for generations has been left as is when the last generation moved out. It's poignant to see the different furnishings and uses through the ages. Only open in the afternoons. Accessible parking much nearer than main car park if you need it. We even had tea and cake served in the church by the local mothers' union, which was very welcome on such a hot day. Well worth a visit and really friendly and helpful guides.
Cath H — Google review
Beautiful house in its original style with a garden full of vegetables and fruit trees. Cute cafe inside a church where you can sit on church benches to drink/eat. Parking is somewhat of a long walk from house although there is parking for disabled people closer.
Nick H — Google review
More interesting than I was expecting. An extremely well preserved Jacobean house with strong links to Charles 1st and the group npowder plotters. No cafe but the next door church provides tea, coffee, and cakes, where you can sit in the pews and chat. Car park a 10 min downhill stroll from the house. Blue badge parking much nearer. Getting there involves single track lanes.
Chris D — Google review
Had a very nice visit to Chastleton. Nice house and gardens and pleasant volunteers around the place. Found the way NT have presented the property interesting - has been set up to look as if the family were only just there (empty cups of tea on the table and bars of soap left on the side of the bathroom sink etc) Sadly missed out on the church teas next door as we arrived too late in the afternoon to fit in a visit. The second hand bookshop was a good one with plenty of stock. Good size car park. Bit of a muddy walk between car park and house if it's been raining.

Today, I had a planned bike ride and decided to include a visit to the highly regarded cafe Grouch Coffee. This cafe is known for its excellent coffee and delicious cakes, both of which are an essential part of any cycling adventure. The staff at Grouch Coffee were not only welcoming but also showed a great sense of humor. They served top-notch coffee and had a wide range of tasty treats, many of which were gluten-free.
Came across this last year because we needed coffee and breakfast super early morn and we were DELIGHTED to have found this place. The coffee is BANGING. Cakes look delicious. LOVE THE GRANOLA BOWLS. The owner is super friendly, I think Kelly is her name (sorry if that’s wrong!) Have recommended to many colleagues who work here in the summer months and they also love it!!
Amanda W — Google review
There are a lot of good coffee shops in the area, but this is my favorite. The cappuccinos are smooth and strong, just the way I like them. As stated on the sign outside, "this is the coffee you are lookiing for". Kelly, the Grouch, makes all the baked goodies fresh every morning and their breakfast muffin was delicious. The first thing that hit me when I walked in was the vibe. Leon Bridges was playing over the speakers, the place was cozy and intimate, and Kelly was naturally welcoming to me and everyone else. Great spot! Try it out!
Terry D — Google review
My family (four of us) stopped in for coffee, tea, and breakfast on our trip across the U.K. The service was exceptional and the menu offered a generous number of delicious gluten free options. This coffee shop may be tiny, but it is mighty charming and leaves you with a loving sense of community.
Jessica W — Google review
A lovely location with great coffee and food. Definitely recommend the banana bread! The ladies working there (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your names) were so nice and welcoming. A great place for breakfast, brunch or a quick coffee stop.
Sorcha M — Google review
The quality of the coffee here is next level, easily as good as the great cafes I've been to in London, Sydney and Melbourne. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I'd travel a long way to visit here again. If you're wanting more than coffee, there are lovely muffins and other cakes, but the owners wisely keep the menu very limited so that they can focus on what they do best.
Bryn J — Google review
One of the best coffee shops I've been to in the UK. Very friendly service and the coffee is spot on. All items are made from scratch and are fresh. I would highly recommend this place.

Popped in Saturday morning 24-06-23 with the wife. The coffee was next level, I love a nice coffee, I had "The James" Ham, cheese and marmite toastie, it was delicious. The place itself is very clean and tidy and there is a very friendly atmosphere in here. Highly recommended.

Italian restaurant
Nestled on the High Street, Bellini Moreton-In-Marsh is a charming Italian eatery that exudes warmth and hospitality. This delightful restaurant serves up beloved Italian dishes such as penne alla puttanesca, Saltimbocca, and seafood risotto, all crafted with homemade pasta and slow-cooked sauces. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for both quick bites or leisurely meals.
Enjoyed a lovely family meal on Saturday evening. We all agreed the menu had a lot of choice and struggled to choose as it all sounded delicious. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming - attentive but not intense. The food was really tasty and we enjoyed a lovely atmosphere! Would recommend!

We were there for a late lunch on Christmas Day and were thankful the restaurant could accommodate our last minute reservation. It was crowded and staffs were extremely busy hence service was slower than what we would have liked but the staffs were friendly. Food was good and portions were generous. We enjoyed our meal.

Just got back home with some takeaways, and whilst it tastes good, the portion size is unbelievably small. Our carbonara is not even half full - it couldn't even be considered a child's sized portion. It was not cheap and definitely not worth it. Staff were rude as well. I was very surprised and disappointed.
Uchihasocksy — Google review
Be very careful if you eat here! Triple check your bill, and confirm the actual prices. We had to send the bill back 3 times in a row, for a simple dinner of two adults and a child. First they included the meals from the people before us, doubling our total. Second attempt, they charged us for a drink that they never brought to the table. Third attempt, they changed the actual prices! £15 pasta became £18, £7 kids pasta became £9 or whatever. Thankfully my wife noticed. We had to grab a printed menu and they still argued over every single item. Never thought I'd have to do this, came out feeling swindled. Also, the service was incredibly slow. It took 40 minutes for a couple of bruschettas to come (honestly, it's toasted bread with tomato). The mains only arrived 1h20 in, and that was after I asked what was going on. Quality-wise, it was mixed. The pasta and pizzas were really nice, but the kid's "creamy pasta parmesan" was crap. It was literally boiled pasta with 4 small shavings of cheese. Nothing binding it, no cream, just a little water still in the pasta. Just because it's a child, doesn't mean he deserves less effort. If you can call that "effort". Atmosphere-wise, the place is small and cramped. After 1h waiting for food, my toddler was walking up and down their tight stairs with me, and the waitress decided to scold us because "we have other customers upstairs, the kid needs to sit down". Well, maybe don't keep a child waiting 1h20 for food, and we wouldn't have to walk up and down your stairs, which were the only place we could even go in this cramped restaurant. Not coming back here ever again. From the rude waitress, the bad kid's meal and the shady billing... No, thank you. Edit: they've answered trying to shed responsibility. No, you didn't"make a mistake ". We went through four different bills with "mistakes", and in the final "mistake" we still had to argue over every single wrong price. "Honest service"? Didn't feel like it. Re: bookings you didn't do us any favours. We asked whether you had a table, you said yes. Plenty of other restaurants we could've gone to. We paid full price and expected normal service, there were no other arrangements. You weren't even full as upstairs had several empty tables. You took 40 min to bring two bruschetti and 1h20 to bring the mains. No, that's not acceptable. Also unacceptable is you complaining that a 2 year old child didn't sit still on a chair for over 1 hour waiting for food. We waited so long without an update that even I was ready to walk out, let alone him. Re: the child pasta, don't mislead. Your menu said creamy parmesan pasta. This was soggy pasta with a couple of cheese shavings. No, that's not as described. And it certainly doesn't take more than 5 minutes to make.

Superb little bakery… had the BEST croissants and cinnamon rolls here. Coffee good, staff excellent (helped me rescue a bee). Small little place but what a great find. Someone doing it properly and how it should be done. Nicely done guys. Ps: I read a review saying this place is expensive. It’s not. This is a bakery doing it properly, small batch, with fine ingredients, taking their time and probably trying to ensure they pay their staff a decent wage, pay the rent etc too. If you want a cheap mass produced, croissant that is full of flavourings and things that ensure it lasts 4 years whilst bearing no resemblance to an actual croissant; go to a supermarket and feel proud of your £1 saving. If you want something beautifully crafted with brilliant ingredients that is, in no way comparable, go here. Can’t believe people would compare the two. (Note : pictures don’t do the items justice)

we were looking forward to have breakfast here a couple of times during our stay. the coffee and cinnamon roll were very good but why do you serve them in a paper bag/ plastic cup, with lid and straw if people eat/drink at your place? we will not come back due to this, it is crazy to how much waste this leads
Aline — Google review
Nice little cafe, it said on the door and here on google maps that they were closing at 2 but when we arrived they mentioned that they close at 3, a good surprise to us due to we got some more time to enjoy our fika. We had a coffee which was good and the Pain aux raisin that was really good, the cinnamon bun I did not enjoy that much (could be my Swedish heritage) but I think it was too fluffy and didn’t have that nice buttery taste that I’m after in a cinnamon bun. But in total a nice visit.

Cotswold Falconry Centre, located on Pershore Road just two miles south of Birmingham City Centre, is an educational center and aviary showcasing a wide variety of birds of prey including falcons, eagles, owls, and other species. The center offers daily displays of the ancient art of falconry at multiple times throughout the day. Visitors can also enjoy hands-on experiences such as the one-hour Flying Start session where they can fly hawks.
My husband and I enjoyed the falconry experience so much! Our guide,Amy, was superb- full of knowledge and love for these amazing creatures .The birds are just beautiful and so fascinating. It was a privilege to get so close to so many. We stayed for the public flying and that was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend.

This is such an amazing place. It’s rare to see a place where animals are so well cared of and loved. You feel the passion of the employees for the birds, and their profession. Also it’s all about the birds first, not about making money or giving the best show (and that’s a really great thing!) Thanks a lot Chris&Helena for the super cool experience!
M. C — Google review
This was the most interesting animal related attraction in the whole of Cotswolds for my family including 2 children (6 and 4). The display performances were informative and very up close. The Owl experience, though pricey was worth every cent, even my 4 year old participated and enjoyed the intimate experience with many Owls in the hour session, probably the highlight of the trip. Amongst all the animal attractions in the world, this ranks top.

Could not recommend this place enough. Excellent value entrance with well priced souvenirs and refreshments. So many birds are not inside averaries and the shows come within the entry fee. You can see the keepers care deeply about the birds and are very knowledgeable. Really greats for taking photos as well.

An interesting place to visit and view a variety of birds of prey and to see some participating in flying displays, during which the handlers go to great lengths to explain about each bird, their habits and the fact that the birds are in no way forced to perform...hence when visiting, what you see is what the birds choose to show you!! The handlers are obviously very knowledgeable about the birds and are happy to talk to visitors about them. Certainly worth a visit whilst in the area.
Andy P — Google review
The free flight of the various birds was fantastic. The bird trainers were excellent and in tune with their birds, obviously loving their job. There were 3 shows and each flew different birds. I've been there before and would go again if I have the chance.
Carol M — Google review
The talk was super informative and interesting however it was sad to see the birds on display had about 20cm of rope to move around during the day while out of the small enclosures. Some get the chance to fly during the shows but it seems to be a very short 15-20 minutes. It would be great to see enclosures expanded and not have birds tied up with little room to move.
Em — Google review
I cannot recommend this place enough. The birds are from all over the world. Many are imperiled species, but others are quite common in their native range. I did the owl experience, and it's one of my favorite things I've ever done. I got to handle four beautiful owls over the course of an hour. Carrie was a wonderful teacher and answered all my questions. The price is very reasonable for what you get to do. My family was able to come with me to take pictures. It was an incredible experience for all of us.

Hassans Grill & Kitchen is a highly recommended restaurant that boasts an inviting and beautifully adorned atmosphere. The friendly and hospitable staff create a warm ambiance for guests. Patrons have raved about the exquisite cuisine, such as the mouthwatering smoking BBQ doner, which is incredibly tender and expertly seasoned. The Korma dish is also highly regarded for its creamy texture and tender chicken. Furthermore, the presentation of each dish is both impressive and appetizing.
Delicious food, amazing decor and the loveliest staff. The whole menu is amazing, and the sriracha burger I had was phenomenal. Staff make you feel so welcome and really look after you, which is especially appreciated when it’s 30 degrees as we were never without a drink 😅 food is prepared and served with great effort, and the environment is lovely with the bright modern decor, and amazing plant wall displays! This place is a must!! The restaurant is very inviting and nicely decorated. The staff were so nice and welcoming. We had a great chat with Shaq (sorry if I spelled that incorrect 😁) Our meal was superb!!! The smoking BBQ döner was so tender and perfectly seasoned. Great portion size too. We also had the Korma that was so creamy and the chicken was also very tender! Very well presented too. Look as delicious as it tasted! Best I've had in a long time. We started with firecracker chicken wings because I wanted to try them. A little too spicy for me but my husband loved them. I wish we could have stayed for dessert but we had a kiddo to pick up. Guess we will have to come back!

Only Sunday cafe open in in Moreton in Marsh when we woke up this morning. We dodged the showers and spent a happy half hour drinking a lovely Earl Grey (nice china cups) and eating breakfast. Super friendly and professional staff :) Slightly pricey for the one slice of mushrooms and spinach on toast but the smoked salmon on pancakes with dill sauce was good. Just under £25 for 2x coffee, 1x Earl Grey and the 2x breakfasts. Sadly both doors to the cafe were open so we sat in rather a wind tunnel while eating - hence the loss of one star.

Excellent food. The special I had - crispy chicken thighs with pomme puree and chasseur sauce - was fantastic, and at £11 the quality was so good you could have reasonably expected to pay twice as much.

We had a wonderful experience at Siam Cottage Thai restaurant and guesthouse. The accommodation above the restaurant was fantastic, providing plenty of space to get ready for a wedding. The facilities were perfect and Tim, the host, was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant itself offered superb food with a wide variety of tasty and fresh options. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff.
Based purely on lots of recommendations to visit, I took my family here for supper. Straight away, we loved the setting; intimate, friendly, inviting. The staff were amazing and put us all at ease immediately, helping us navigate the best choice for each of us (one of us is a bit of a fussy eater!) from the delicious menu. The presentation of the dishes as they were brought through made us want to get started immediately! We left with full tummies and great memories. Thanks to all of the staff, both in and out of the kitchen for a really brilliant experience - we'll be back!

lovely little Thai restaurant in the market place... didn't have a booking but found us a table... great friendly service from the waitress, nice varied menu. had starter and main course and a couple of drinks....all very good. well recommended

Really, really brilliant restaurant with seating indoors and out. Attentive and friendly waiting staff, the waitress was exceedingly attentive and so very friendly. The food was EXCELLENT, and even met the chef who was lovely. Cannot speak highly enough of this place, and cannot fault it in any way. A lovely evening for an anniversary dinner. Even though we love quite a way from it, we will definitely travel to visit again

We booked the Thursday Eve and had a fantastic meal with fab service. Treats for the dog. It was so good we booked for the Saturday evening and were not disappointed. Hats off to Maddie for looking after the four of us and Cassie our dog on both occasions. The duck dishes are great. Thanks again.

My husband and I ate at Siam Cottage on the last night of our trip after completing a 50 mile walking tour of the Cotswolds. We are from NYC and, after days of excellent British food, we were dying for a taste of home so to speak. The reviews for this restaurant were excellent so we gave it a shot. It exceeded our expectations by a wide margin. Every bite was absolutely delicious. If you don’t have an egg allergy, opt for the egg fried rice as the side for your dishes because I could have eaten vats of it. I made my husband talk me out of taken some to go. We both had the cashew dish - he with chicken and me with prawns. Everything was beautifully fresh with a solid spice level without too much heat. The staff from top to bottom were stellar and the chef came out apologize for the wait out food which was wholly unnecessary because we felt the service was very efficient. But that did give us a chance to compliment her on her beautiful food. If you find yourself in Moreton in Marsh and want to break from the traditional British fare, you simply must go to Siam Cottage.

We had ordered takeaway from this restaurant previously. We have been to Thailand several times and know the taste of authentic Thai food. This was not. The noodle and curry dishes were quite sweet and the squid (salt and chilli squid dish) was not fresh. The food was acceptable but none of the dishes were tasty or delicious.
Darren P — Google review
Cottages offered basic accommodation and minimal service. Room was small - bed necessarily pushed up against one wall - and furniture was utilitarian with only one chair. 2-inch gap under door let in hall noise. Window gap made room drafty. No central heat that we could control. They provided a space heater. There was no maid service. Breakfast was to be in a restaurant but, instead, they gave us a box containing a day-old pastry, a yogurt cup and a bottle of juice and did not provide a dining room in which to eat it. There was a Thai restaurant below us, and our room smelled faintly of the food they served. Parking was not provided but was easy to procure and free.

The Greedy Goose is a smart pub with exposed stonework and a contemporary garden that offers global food, pizza, and local ales. Visitors have praised the good choice of local ales and delicious food, including the unusual "toad in the hole" dish and delectable desserts. The restaurant side is particularly lauded for serving the best meal some have ever had, with exceptional burgers and remarkable ice cream flavors. Guests also appreciate the kind service and fair prices.
Very nice pub and very handy for the campsite next door where we were staying. Good choice of local ales and the food was very good. We had the "toad in the hole" which is unusual in a pub these days and two very nice desserts. Nice atmosphere throughout, with a lovely wood burner in the restaurant and the service matched the food so we would certainly be happy to go again if we are ever in the area.

Lovely little pub, been here for a couple of weekends this summer and I’ve loved every minute. The staff and management are absolutely great and I’ve found that the locals are super friendly! The food is absolutely lovely and the drinks are well priced, it’s a shame they don’t offer breakfast though because I’d definitely treat myself to that as well! The camping ground is one of the best pub ones that I have been to, it’s nice and quiet and the toilets and showers are really clean! Definitely recommend a stay!

Just had a meal here on way to rollright stones. Wow, food was amazing! I had fish and chips and I can honestly say it was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had and my hubby had steak and he said it was delicious. We both give the meal 10/10! Highly recommend.

Friendly, helpful staff, there to serve the customer to the best of their ability. Good choice on the menu and great atmosphere. A number of different environments from bar, snug to terrace. Dogs welcomed to the bar area. The only reason for not giving 5* on this occasion was our choice from the menu was very good (4.5) but not perfection. The highly praised samosas were rather dry, with ordinary pastry rather than filo. Sausage and mash was good and tasty, but again the mash was rather dry and needing more gravy or butter.
Nick H — Google review
We stayed 2 nights on the campsite here. Really friendly and easy to book, seemed easy going which is good especially in these times. Got on site and freedom of where to pitch. If you are expecting 5* luxury this might not be for you. But for our first time camping it had everything we needed and more! Can you complain, camping next to a pub?
Mitch J — Google review
Can only speak for the restaurant side of things, but the dinner I had here years ago still ranks as the best meal I've had in my life. Burgers do not come any better, and I remember having some of the ice cream, and even boring flavours like vanilla were done so astounding well with such depth of taste. I recall service being great and prices being fair. My commendation does not come any higher.

An amazing welcome, and we took our two muddy dogs with us!. A great selection of gins and well kept ales. Food was well presented perfectly cooked and very reasonable. Just a very friendly, well kept place. Just wish we lived nearer!! Thank you to all who were there.

We stayed the weekend camping at the greedy goose. If you are looking for a cheap last minute weekend getaway it did the job. For £10 a night you get an excellent location for cycling and many local villages. However the washing facilities are extremely basic but did the job. The road is very noisy and is loud. We recommend staying near the top end of the site away from the road and camping pods. The pub staff are excellent and friendly. It was great for a drink and the food was good after a day cycling. Ultimately you get exactly what you pay for. It's cheap and convenient and great location for a quick getaway. The site would gain massively by investing in a better shower and toilet facility for its camping guests and make it a pleasure to stay there.

Day 3

Center of town
For day 3, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Sakura Bistro. All together, your day would be filled with about 10 hours of non-stop fun.

Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre is a 56-acre dog-friendly garden featuring an array of trees and shrubs from around the world. The site bursts into color in spring with snowdrops, daffodils, aconites, and daphnes creating a vibrant display. Visitors can even purchase snowdrops to take home.
First time visiting Batsford Arboretum in July and we really enjoyed it. The gift shop and garden centre has so much variety of plants and souvenirs. There is a dedicated picnic area where you can take your own food and drink which is a bonus. The garden itself is very well maintained, we really enjoyed the Japanese area. So much to see, we didn’t get to see all of it so we are planning on coming back soon. Would definitely recommend for a lovely day out.

Visited here during a weekday break to the Cotswolds in October advised to book in advance which with gift aid was £12 a ticket per head which for easily nearly 4 hours spent here is very well worth it 👍 there's plenty to see if you do the full walk with the trees this time of the year in all their glory of a riot of colour's most of the paths are hardstanding with a few steep inclines of softer ground but we took our elderly dog round in his buggy ok & there were a few disabled buggies getting around ok as well I'd say also brilliant for kids for an outdoor excursion with plenty of "off path" area's for them to explore & let some energy off in the fresh air also a large garden centre & restaurant here the restaurant having a very extensive menu at all reasonable prices with the food very very good quality the restaurant is,also dog friendly with a lovely outside verandah seating area sadly didn't get time to visit the old fashioned tool shed but I'll definitely do that next time we're back in the Cotswolds I'd like to see the Arboretum in spring as well with the blossom so would definitely visit again also a shout out to all the lovely staff 👏👏👏

Fantastic day out we went with kings norton coaches lovely to see the Anne Frank tree and all the other trees around however you can learn other things as well a truly fabulous day out. Toilets 🚻 in the centre all paths low and disabled accessible car parking in the yard free but pay to go in gardens around £10.90 each well worth it!

The arboretum is at its most colourful from September onwards when the leaves change colour. However, it is beautiful all year round. The design of the walks, statues, buildings etc makes it alway interesting. The restaurant serves quality freshly cooked breakfast and lunch while the shops acts as a garden centre and gift shop. Wonderful day in the cotswolds is almost guaranteed. One needs to buy in advance with an entry time to level out footfall and make entry smoother.

Large area to explore. Good car parking. Restaurant was very busy but good choice of food, although not much for GF diets or low carb. Many very established trees and shrubs including some giant Redwoods. The church was small but interesting. Barefoot House is private but it’s where the Mitford family lived for some time. You’re provided with a good map that shows the steeper trails. Seating provided in certain areas so you can have a breather and take in the tranquility. You could spend a day here easily.

First time here - would absolutely recommend. Beautiful entrance and plenty of parking, you are given a map when you walk around, it’s quite hilly but beautiful views and it’s so peaceful. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful place. I visited in April when the magnolias and the cherry blossoms were in bloom. There is a large variety of both trees and other plants. There is a decent size cafe which sells a good variety of food and drinks and a shop which sells mainly garden items. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Loved this place, I'd seen and used it online, nice to get there in person. I belive they have sever stores? Accessibility: low stone step.in the entrance. Car Parking: on the road routinely near by if you can find a space and there are car parks. Groceries (incl olives, preserves, biscuits...), wines, beers, cider as well as cheese. Very helpful staff and happy for customers to taste.. Well worth the visit.

There is a very good choice of not only cheese at The Cotswold Cheese shop. You can easily make up a meal as we did, Macaroni cheese with a few cupboard store items. The Cotswold Cheese Co. is a must to visit!!!

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and a great selection of produce. They even let you taste the cheese if you’ve not tried it before to check if you like it before you buy.
Frithalouise — Google review
Nice shop but clueless young blonde on the counter with a vastly more experienced lady. Blonde more interested in her phone than the cheese clearly as didn’t know the answers to any of our questions. We even said ‘we really like cheese X, what would you recommend that is similar?’ So gormless, she then spent ages looking for cheese x as she clearly didn’t even know what that was (even though they sell it) and then tried to serve us that. Do they not train their staff to know at least something about the product they’re selling?

Perfect experience and recommendation by the owner! Initially, I was worried about heading in as I was by myself but all turns out well! 😃The owner was very welcoming and I felt cosy once I sat down :) she recommended great oaky wine for me and the cheese platter + meat were on spot. Loved this place and I recommend all wine lovers to visit this place! It’s a nice place to hangout and chill. She extended her hours for her customers, which is a very very nice gesture. Thumbs up!

We had an amazing wine tasting evening at Moreton Wine Merchants as a group of 14. Melina, the owner, was incredibly helpful and created a beautiful, relaxed experience in a stunning private room. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the tasting both fun and informative. The wine selection was excellent, and the sharing platter was delicious. A lovely touch was providing sparkling non-alcoholic options for the pregnant guests, which made everyone feel included. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back

Popped in on a Sunday as it opened for a glass of wine before a family lunch. The owner was absolutely lovely, offering to put a bunch of flowers into water for us to keep them fresh before we went to lunch. We had a great chat about the wines by the glass on offer at the back, and she even gave us some of a wine we hadn't ordered to taste, which was lovely. They had a great selection and she was clearly so knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. Sorry to not have gotten the owners name, she asked ours and was so kind and generous, we will definitely be back here to try more wines and buy some bottles on our next visit to the area.

Fantastic experience. Mel & Enzo love everything about wine, and it shows. The place operates as a wine merchant offering extremely interesting, and often quite rare, wines as well as a great wine bar with a good food offering. Highly recommend.

What an absolutely delightful find! This wine merchant has a lovely seating area inside and a cosy outdoor courtyard and a fabulous wine by the glass menu, including local wines! Melina looked after us so well and had an incredible knowledge of all the wines offered in the shop. The prices in the shop are very reasonable and competitive. An absolute must visit if you are in Moreton. And dog friendly!

Fantastic service from the time we were greeted to the bill I'm not a huge wine person but they explained everything and I felt more than at home, more like a cosy local pub, my partner that loves wine was in her element we had alot of fun and would recommend the self service, the staff are really welcoming and attentive ! Lovely little hidden secret !

Fab! We went in at 5.30pm for a glass of wine and Melina who served us (possibly the owner?) was amazingly knowledgeable and so lovely with it! Not pretentious just really informed and a really lovely person! We also had a cheese and charcuterie board and I asked for a white wine to complement it as I don't drink red and she brought a lovely white wine which was perfect and told us about the vineyard and family that produces it. My husband mentioned he liked Argentinian Malbec and she brought a Chilean something (you'd have to ask him!) again with background info, which he really like so we bought a bottle of each! Do not miss this place!! So lovely.

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary early September Wow what a fantastic place. Customer service first class, the owner very informative on all wines. She was absolutely lovely. We had a couple of wines and the cheese and meat platter, it was outstanding. We even went back for an early tipple of wine 2 days later on the Friday and sat outside watching the world go by with a snack of bread with oil dip, it was fabulous. Will definately be back when next in the area. We would definately reccommend 100 per cent to try it out if you are in the area. They have a shop selling all different wines etc. 👍

Poor customer service and online experience. Purchased items online using a gift card, and then received an email saying they were out of stock. When I spoke to the store on the phone to ask for a refund of the gift card onto my card, or for the website to be updated to show what items were out of stock, the person I spoke to wouldn’t provide a refund onto my card, and hung up on me while I was speaking. Unfortunate experience with their online shopping, but I am sure it is better in person

Dropped in here this morning for a breakfast with friends to round off our weekend away. Was in a beautiful little spot just tucked away off the high street and had a lovely courtyard area. There were 8 of us in total (3 adults and 5 children) and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to us all. There was plenty of brunch choices and a delicious array of hot and cold drinks. Came here for lunch after exploring the town a bit. The two ladies working on the outside tables offered exceptional service. I ordered a blood orange gin & lemonade and it came out to me so fast! I ordered the beef burger which came with a side of rosemary salted hot chips. These were one of the best hot chips I have had, crunchy, golden, just so yum. The burger was good but not amazing. It had a slightly overpowering flavour but couldn’t pin point it. Otherwise this place is really amazing!

It’s a very nice spot to sit and the coffees were perfectly fine. The staff were nice but the service was really slow so don’t be in a rush. We just got coffees but it took almost 20 minutes and there were almost no other people there, though the waitress apologized and said they were “slammed.”

Martha's Coffee House is a charming establishment that may appear unassuming from the outside. However, stepping inside or into the courtyard reveals its true beauty, especially on a chilly morning with sunny weather. Absolutely LOVED our visit to Martha’s! We visited on a very busy Sunday & even though the team were run off their feet, we were welcomed with smiles & looked after from start to finish. The coffee was excellent & our brunch was delicious. We had the sausage, fried egg, Swiss cheese & onion chutney on toasted sourdough & it was so good! I think I’ll be dreaming of that taste forever 🤤 the flavours really complimented each other, round of applause for whoever came up with that combo! The seating area is small but it’s so cosy & it’s a lovely setting to relax. We also loved the decor, especially the salt & pepper pots! I really want to stress how lovely the team were. Hospitality is hard work, especially on extremely busy days, but the guys at Martha’s couldn’t have been more accommodating for us. Thank you so much, We will definitely be back 🫶🏻✨

We stayed in the airbnb the night before and decided to have breakfast in the morning… how could you not after smelling the cooking below you. The food was absolutely delicious, atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful and the service and staff were outstanding. We had an iced latte each (with oat milk) followed by the sausage, fried egg, emmental and red onion jam breakfast bun (we asked for scrambled egg instead of fried and they happily obliged) and this was insanely good. A perfect start to the day. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone visiting the area. Locally sourced food that was beautifully cooked to perfection all for a decent price.

The Swan Inn is a charming Georgian establishment in the Cotswolds, offering modest accommodations and a delicious cooked breakfast. It also boasts a traditional pub with an array of classic dishes. Situated in a picturesque location by the River Windrush, it provides the perfect setting for those seeking a quintessential Cotswold pub experience. Simon is very friendly & kind. He was very thoughtful by ensuring our room was ready to accommodate our very early arrival to Cotswolds. He gave us good recommendations to explore the town. The room was small & cozy. Definitely value for the money you pay. The location is absolutely fantastic to get around easily. Has many good restaurants to choose from. We highly recommend this place for quick getaways.

What a great team, my sisters and I were met by Joey, lovely friendly member of the team, helpful, humour and welcoming. The room was so nice accommodating all 3 which was great, the decor added to the character in keeping with the pub. Simon, Scott & other team members were so welcoming, the vibe was relaxed it felt like we were visiting family. Comfortable beds, traffic on main road did not bother us at all. We stayed 2 nights. Graham let us keep our luggage in the pub after checking out, so relaxed he even offered to drive us to the station when we returned to get cases....such a lovely group of people, would love to return

This hotel/ bar is central in Moreton in Marsh. You can come and go when ever you want. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. The service was quick and the room was really nice. There was tea and coffee facilities, the bathroom was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the pillows was nice and soft. Unfortunately the dont do breakfast, but you can purchase something from a cafe across the road.

Very strange. Came in we asked if it would be okay to sit and have a drink. Ordered and then apologized and asked if it would be possible to get a glass of water. Bartender was irritated, muttered “didn’t hear a please in that” in a way where we could obviously hear but not to our face. We were super friendly and respectful the whole time but got the sense they’d rather we take our business elsewhere, so we did. A shame because it’s a beautiful pub.

Staying locally so booked for Sunday lunch. Was made to feel very welcome by Simon and his team. They didn’t have a veggie roast option but had the roast without the meat, extra yorkshire puddings and mushroom gravy. Very good food and offered extra vegetables too which was very generous along with a complimentary dessert for us both. All in all a very relaxing lunch, Simon clearly cared about making sure all his customers were comfortable and enjoyed their experience in his pub. Enjoyed it so much, booked again for another evening. Definitely recommend

What a lovely stay. Simon and Carrie were so helpful and we felt like part of the team. The pub has a lovely atmosphere. Centrally located. Very dog friendly. Highly recommended as it was a home from home.

My wife and I popped into this pub for a spot of lunch today, we didn’t realise they were only offering Sunday roasts and we did not want this. The lovely man at the bar (possibly the owner, Simon i think his name was) Offered to ask the chef to make us a lovely Beef baguette instead of a roast. It was the best sandwich you could imagine and wven through in a few roast potatoes! Lovely pub, lovely food and incredibly good service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
B C — Google review
We stayed at The Swan for 2 nights and from the minute we arrived were made to feel like part of the family. Simon has recently taken over this pub and with Scott and Carrie as his small team is working hard to slowly renovate the interior, garden and rooms with minimal interruption. We were in room 1 which is at the back of the pub and was really quiet. We were more than happy to sacrifice a ‘view’ to get a good sleep! We had breakfast over the road in a lovely cafe (you get a voucher) which I thought worked better than having breakfast in the pub which often means a restrictive set time. They just started doing some food and although we didn’t order a lot we had the pork belly which was melt in the mouth and full of delicious flavours All in all a lovely 2 days and we will happily return. We wish Simon and team lots of luck building the business up. We heard some of their plans and I’m sure it will just get better and better.

Pub
Nestled in the charming village of Blockley in the Cotswolds, The Black Bear Inn offers a delightful dining experience for both food enthusiasts and families. This picturesque spot is known for its warm welcome and artisanal cuisine, making it an ideal choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Additionally, the inn holds historical significance as it is believed to have inspired JRR Tolkien's Prancing Pony in Bree.
Great gastro pub, that doesn't have the same heavy feeling as pubs in London. The portions are very generous, and quite interesting as well: lamb is served with tomato sauce, and beef brisket is swimming in peppercorn sauce. Sticky toffee pudding is a pub staple, and it should be called "sticky toffee loaf" for the sheer size of it. The only thing I'm sorry about is that I didn't get to try the steak and ale pie. Looked delicious.

If you’re looking for homemade, fresh, down to earth food, this is the place! The family who owns the pub are super kind, and were really welcoming to us bumbling in with all our bulky luggage. For lunch I had a homemade fish finger ‘burger’ which was deeeeelicious and quite affordable as it was on their ‘lighter lunch menu’. My friend had the battered cod with homemade tartare sauce, mushy peas, new season potatoes and salad from their full lunch menu… all was lovely! They have a beautiful outdoor areas as well as inside. They are dog friendly too. We were recommended this spot by a local, so you know it’s tried and tested! Do visit, it’s a lovely pub.

A cozy historic restaurant on Hgh Street. A central location. It seems to be a hub for all kinds of activities. There's a nice menu and a full bar. Tons of beer and ales to choose from. Our server was terrific. She helped us find a gluten free dinner. Our meals were fair. My husband's pork was super dry and hard to chew. But, THE FRIES!!!! Smoking hot and perfectly cooked and salted. No lie, we were scraping the fry crumbs off the bottom of the plate. We liked our wine too.

We visited Saturday night. Super friendly staff. Great service and great food. I had the steak pie and my wife had the risotto, which were both delicious. Followed by a sticky toffee pudding. A great pint of Guinness too. Thank you so much for a lovely experience

We had the fish and chips and braised been brisket and both were delicious. However, service was a bit slow and we had to initiate asking to take the order. And also, when we chased for our food, the waitress came back and said it has only been 24 minutes and the food are prepared fresh. I thought that was an unnecessary comment

The food here is exceptional. Between us (family group of 5) we all had either beef brisket or steak and ale pie and all agreed the food was brilliant. My beef brisket was perfectly slow cooked in beautiful, rich sauce. The chips and veg were also wonderful! Great, friendly and efficient service too. Would very much recommend.

The White Hart Royal Hotel is a historic former coaching inn located in the center of Moreton-in-Marsh. It offers upscale guestrooms, some with 4-poster beds, private gardens, spacious wet rooms, and roll-top baths. The hotel features stylish public rooms and a British restaurant. The building has a rich history, having served as shelter for King Charles during the English Civil War.
Lovely hotel in a small Cotswold town. We didn’t stay in the hotel so cannot comment on the rooms, however we had dinner here and it was lovely. Waiting staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Good selection of food and beer. Not the cheapest out there but not the most expensive either, I thought it was good value for the quality we received. I would use again if in the area and recommend others to try as well.

Loved it. Hotel was really nice, all the staff were happy, smiling and helpful. Room was very nice had all we would need, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, 2types of delicious coffee and selection of tea, radio , lovely lighting , good to have a table with chairs, heating more than adequate. Bathroom clean, hot towel rail , great shampoos etc, bath had handle and a non slip mat. The dog had a goody bag, mat and bowls. Dinner was excellent , tasty and well cooked, soup superb, sticky toffee pudding yummy. Breakfast again was well cooked, sausage and bacon really great. We would recommend to anyone and will hopefully return in the not too distant future !! Only one problem, toilet although obviously regularly cleaned had a residue dating back in bowl , needs a better shaped brush and a deep clean. It was a little noisy in room but would not want to change the windows so would take earplugs next time to shut out traffic noise . Overall a great stay !!!

Excellent Food & Service - We came for a lunchtime meal as part of our 8yr anniversary and let me say this place didn't disappoint! The staff were incredibly attentive to our requirements and wishes and they even surprised us out of the blue with the most lovely desert on the house with a "Happy Anniversary" message with strawberry's and mini chocolate brownies. It made my partner's day! Would highly recommend this wonderful place for any romantic celebration.

The rooms were perfectly lovely and the front desk staff were lovely. Unfortunately our dining experiences were not great. We had booked tea and they stuck us in a back room (good: quiet, bad: remote so they kind of forgot about us) and started with somewhat dour attitude, dirty plates (all 4 had to go back because they clearly had food stuck all over them), a little spider was in its web on the food stand (implying that doesn't get cleaned super often), and they failed to remember we were 3 vegetarians even though just hours before I had confirmed it at the front desk when we checked in. The next day we tried to get some food at the bar (where people were eating) and they told us they weren't serving food, so we got some snacks at Tesco and took them to the back garden. Then they approached and asked if we were staying there (it was the same man who had talked to us at the front desk us an hour before and had declined us food at the bar) and we said yes and he said "oh sorry, I didn't realize - we would have served you food if we'd known you were guests" (which is fine, but if that is the policy, they should have asked if they cannot remember who is who!). Overall, great place to stay in this cute town, but I'd dine elsewhere.

As locals, this is our regular go to favourite for Sunday lunch. Whatever from the menu, it's always great. Roast beef is the best, great vegetable selection, fresh and large yorkies and homemade sweets to follow . Weekday evenings are just as good - and good beers too!

I booked this room at short notice opted for the superior room and was disappointed to note that the room looked nothing like the photos and the bed nothing like the size I was led to believe I would have. I arrived at the hotel and attempted to go for dinner And was greeted by a young man who looked like a rabbit in the headlights and despite The restaurant being half empty had to go and ask if I could be fed at 7:30 at night and then after having been seated came back and said a party of 10 in another room had arrived and our food might be an hour or more. Had the hotel being packed I I could’ve understood it! He then recommended I went to another pub hotel across the road! Needless to say if I have to come back to The area I will go and stay in the hotel restaurant he sent me to.

Sezincote House & Garden is a unique and stunning place to visit in the Cotswolds. The house tour takes around 40 minutes and showcases beautiful ornate interiors. The gardens are bursting with tropical foliage and flowers, offering plenty of photo opportunities. The well-maintained grounds feature gravel pathways, but some areas have steep slopes. Visitors can explore the stunning gardens and unique buildings, with access priced at just 7.50 per person for the gardens only.
Sezincote House and Gardens are beautiful. Steep walk down, so pace yourself on the way back up. Disabled parking on the level at the entrance though. The house is Stunning and the guide on the day was very good, interesting history. Stunning gardens. You need to book the house tour online before you go, but you can visit the gardens and pay on the day. Nice little cafe with sweet treats. I would say you could easily fill half a day visiting here.

What fabulous grounds (didn't do the house tour). Stunning collection of trees, wonderful views across the countryside. All-in-all picture perfect - particularly when you consider the weather this summer. Great cup of tea and terrific choice of cakes, very reasonably priced, excellent service and all served in the magnificent orangery. Will definitely be adding this one to our gardens to revisit throughout the seasons.

This place is a must visit in life omg it is utterly spectacular,so beautiful, quirky, different and well kept it truly is beautiful. The cafe was very nice to visit, the lovely ladies running it takes your order from your table in the orangery, cakes were delicious. I booked on a tour round the house, the guide was lovely and extremely knowledgeable of Sezincote history. No photos are allowed inside to preserve privacy of the homeowners. This is must visit in life you won't regret it!

Stunning gardens - what a find! Had a delightful afternoon exploring the gardens. Unfortunately, we hadn't pre-booked a house tour, but we saw a little of the inside through the windows, and it looked beautiful. The orangerie serves delicious cakes.

Very interesting place to visit. Easy to find, good car park then quite a walk to the entrance downhill, not an easy walk back up in the heat. They could do with providing a buggy service for those who find it difficult to get back to car park. There is disabled parking nearer the entrance. The garden is lovely and the Orangery does a great one in beverages and cakes. We had a guided tour which was very enjoyable and the guide very informative. The house is quite different from many others as it is themed in the style of the Raj. Definitely worth a visit.
Jenny W — Google review
Sezincote Garden is always worth a visit. But experiencing the garden on a guided tour with the head gardener was even better. It’s incredible how much excellent work has been done over the past ten years, with the garden both restored to its Regency character and prepared for the climate challenges of the 21st century. And beyond all the curious history and fascinating facts, the garden is simply extraordinarily beautiful. Recommendation: definitely go and see it!
Carsten S — Google review
Lovely unusual house, guided tour around 5 rooms only, gardens are lovely but cafe and toilets are limited. Cafe only serves tea, filter coffee and cake.

The Wellington Aviation Museum, housed in a former Victorian school building, is a compact yet comprehensive collection of RAF artifacts. This private assortment offers a detailed account of the Moreton-in-Marsh airfield's past and its impact on the local market town during World War II. The museum pays homage to all who served or passed through RAF Moreton-in-Marsh station.
Fantastic small museum packed full of history. Been trying to get her for the last few years but as it's limited to Sunday opening it never quite worked out. Great to get it ticked off on my list and well worth the effort and wait to get here. Well recommended if you have an interest in history

Open Sundays 10am-4pm excellent crammed packed with exhibits. Bomber Command video on show plus models plus books plus curators who know their stuff. One highlight for me was to be able to sit-in a genuine Willy's jeep which had just returned from D-day celebrations in France and have a chat with the owner. Absolutely amazing. NOT to be missed and only a 5 minute walk from the caravan and motorhome site. Outstanding.

The Moreton Gallery, located in the heart of Moreton, offers a diverse and captivating collection of contemporary art that beautifully captures the essence of the Cotswolds as well as other locations and moods. The gallery is known for its refreshing and unique mix of artwork, which never fails to uplift and inspire visitors. In addition to the impressive exhibits, the pricing of both artwork and ceramic pieces is commendable, offering high-quality pieces at reasonable prices.

Lovely little gallery with a super mix of art. Have a mooch around with no pressure to buy. Lots of different styles to suit your taste. They also offer a scheme to pay for your art in installments just in case you fall in love with something out of your immediate budget! Mainly wall art but some ceramics and the most gorgeous quirky and unusual clocks. Park on the street outside or there is plenty of parking nearly. Shop is on the ground floor, but accessibility would be challenging for wheelchair users.

A real eclectic mix of pieces with some very talented artists on display. The friendly owner is knowledgeable on the artists he supports and is not in your face when it comes to browsing. He's even happy to move pictures around to show them in their best environment. Also, the ability to buy art in instalments makes it much more accessible.

Always worth popping in as the exhibitions change a lot. Good mix of pottery, jewellery and art. Owner does a payment scheme for some pieces which I thought was a brilliant idea. I bought a beautiful picture and will definitely come back again.

Beautiful gallery in the heart of Moreton. Refreshing and eclectic mix of contemporary art that never fails to reflect and imbue the surrounding Cotswolds as well as locations and moods further afield. Always uplifting and inspiring to visit and browse. Additionally worthwhile is the pricing of the various exhibits and ceramic work. You will struggle to find artwork of an equivalent standard that is priced so judiciously. As the gallery is popular it is always worth regular visits to check out the new displays, it is another lovely experience amidst Moreton, a lovely town to visit.

London House Antique Centre is a fantastic and charming establishment situated in the heart of Moreton-in-Marsh. The staff at the main reception are incredibly welcoming, providing invaluable assistance and guidance on both purchases and recommended visits to other antique shops. Honestly, didn’t expect to be writing a review for an Antique centre but I really enjoyed my visit to the London House Antique Centre while on our travels yesterday. We were just walking around, browsing various shops in Moreton & other villages around the Cotswolds and this was certainly the best experience for me. On the table display near the front, there’s a bunch of vintage football programmes and to my surprise, a load of Coventry City ones. Being a big sky blues fan my whole life, it made my birthday even better! I’m pretty sure there was a selection for most teams there so if you want a specific one, I’d say just ask and I’m sure the gentleman running the shop, who was a lovely host, would be a great help. My girlfriend will be visiting again on her travels in a couple weeks as there was a selection of rings she said she regretted not purchasing while there so 100% would recommend as I’m sure you’d find some absolute gems in there, regardless of what you’re looking for.

Situated in the heart of Moreton-in-Marsh's town center, on the bustling high street, stands the prominent Redesdale Hall. Dating back to 1887 and designed in a medieval architectural style, this Grade II listed building was named after Lord Redesdale, father of the well-known Mitford sisters. The hall serves as a central public space hosting various events like antiques and craft fairs.
Lovely old Cotswold building in the middle of the town, always something taking place in the building and there is always the farmers market during the week around the side streets. Interesting selection of local shops, restaurants, pubs etc along the High Street.

Very tired especially the kitchen area with little or not cutlery to speak of. It was very noticable that it didn't smell too sweet from the gents loo- the stench was awful. The stair lift for disabled visitors does not work and no ramp for wheelchair access, so not really very good at all. Indian restaurant
Located in the heart of Moreton-in-Marsh, Raj Mahal is an Indian eatery housed within a historic listed building. This establishment offers genuine and traditional cuisine for diners to enjoy. The restaurant has received praise for its exceptional food and service. However, some patrons have expressed a minor concern regarding the policy of ordering one main dish per person, regardless of starters and sides. Despite this, customers have found that sharing one main dish along with a few sides and naan bread is ample.
Decent Indian with Great Grilled Prawns Nice little Indian restaurant in a charming old building with a friendly atmosphere. The grilled king prawns were the standout—cooked in the tandoori oven, with a great smoky flavor. Honestly, some of the best I’ve had. The curries were decent, with a good bit of spice, nothing out of the ordinary but well-prepared. Overall, a solid place for a meal, and worth a visit—especially for the prawns.

The staff were friendly, quick, and made us feel welcome without rushing us. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much, that we’re already planning our next visit 😊

We ordered a take away for 12 people and could not fault the food or the service. We were greeted by very friendly and accommodating staff. We received a bottle of wine and extra starters because of the size of the order. Staff carried the boxes to the car. The food was delicious, tasty and piping hot. Highly recommend this fantastic place if you are in and around the area. Thank you for helping to make a 90th celebration one to remember.

Went to the Raj Mahal on Saturday while we were on a weekend trip to the Cotswolds and didn't fancy cooking, booking a reservation was easy and simple. We arrived and was greeted promptly and shown and seated at our table straight away. The staff were the kindest and most nicest people and gave the best customer service. My son doesn’t like spicy food so we asked if they could do a meal for him that was plain and it was not a problem for them at all and it was delicious! They honestly went above and beyond to make the experience lovely. Me and my partner said that it was easily the best Indian food we have ever had! Tasty, affordable and friendly! Would 100% recommend. Thank you guys for a lovely meal.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If it were possible to award more than five stars, Raj Mahal would certainly deserve them. Having dined at many Indian restaurants over the years, I can confidently say that Raj Mahal stands out as the finest I have experienced. The food was exceptional in both quality and flavour, the staff were attentive and courteous, and the restaurant itself was immaculate and spacious, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. We visited to celebrate a friend’s birthday and brought along our own cake and candles. The staff were extremely accommodating and ensured everything was presented beautifully, which made the occasion even more memorable. In summary, Raj Mahal offers an outstanding dining experience, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.

What a lovely find for us while staying in Moreton-in-Marsh, just steps away from our hotel, the Manor House. They have large menu so it was difficult to narrow down our choices! We had excellent service. There was a group of 25 fireman having dinner that night as well, it made a great atmosphere, and did not impact our food service or overall experience. you won't be disappointed if you dine here!

Take away experience: Positive - Friendly staff, free papadum, fair prices. Negative- messed up my order - gave me fried rice instead of egg rice, gave me an extra dish and billed me for that, their food taste nothing like Indian food. Daal tadka very fake, and above all TOO MUCH OIL in food.

Today, upon arriving in the vicinity, I stumbled upon The Spice Room nestled on a side street. Intrigued by their enticing menu, I promptly made a reservation when they commenced operations. As I entered the establishment's compact façade, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself transported into what seemed like a larger space. The abundance of tables cleverly tucked away in various nooks and crannies created an illusion of ample room. However, it was the gastronomic offerings that truly stole the show!
The food was delicious, and the ambience was amazing. You should definitely try it if you're looking for Indian food.

In short: you really feel they make the effort to cook real, authentic, homely yet dedicated Indian (and of the area) food.

Arrived in the area today and spotted this place down a side street. Liked the look of the menu so booked once they opened. Arrived at the small frontage to be led through to the back. It's like entering the TARDIS! There a tables around every corner but still plenty of space. But the food...OMG! The spice Room is right! I had an Indian Hot Pot and it was very hot for my taste. Not so hot that there was no flavour as it tasted great👍 Service was excellent and meal was lovely👍 Staff friendly and efficient and food, plates, bowls etc really hot too! Thank you for a great evening😀👍

After long time we had really tasty indian food outside of London. Most of the Authentic food is being served here and service was really fantastic. It was really busy day but they served the food within a few minutes after we ordered. Great seating area inside with over 50 covers.

Pub
Restaurant
The Inn on the Marsh is a charming pub that was once a bakery and became licensed premises in 1870. It's known for being a rare outlet in the area for Marston's beers. Visitors have enjoyed warm greetings, freshly cooked food, and reasonably priced burgers. The atmosphere is described as good, with locals and dogs adding to the ambiance. Guests have found it to be a fantastic English pub with tasty food, good value for money, and accommodating service for families with children.
Stayed overnight in the carpark in our camper. (BRIT STOPS) We found the pub very welcoming right from the minute we walked in. The Publican was great, the other local patrons were great as well. We ate the delicious food from the menu which rated very highly in our UK experience. Decor inside the pub was interesting and there is a massive collection of vinyl LPs with one on the turntable constantly. Highly recommend this pub for food, friendliness and comfort ... 🍽🍺🇦🇺

We were here on a Brit Stop pub stopover. Wayne (the Landlord) is a great host and plays good music off his record collection. Food is excellent at good prices.

A lovely little pub at the edge of the Cotswolds. Friendly staff, comfortable seating with plenty of space, reasonably priced drinks. We only popped in for a quick drink as we just happened to pass it. I did hear other customers say how good the food was so might go back to try that another time.

Lovely little pub, old-fashioned and comfortable . Vinyl player for good music, separate dining area, or eat in the bar. Dogs welcome ,lovely warm atmosphere. Nice beer garden. We didn't eat here, but the food we saw being served looks great and was home made .

Traditional pub, good food, good value (extra star for not charging for a bit of extra gravy), friendly place, easy parking.

Stopped for some food on our way home from the Cotswold waterpark (2 adults, 3 kids) and was pleasantly surprised. Quirky and old fashioned with lovely staff and great food for a brilliant price! Would go again in a heartbeat if in the area!

As soon as you walked in you could see it had character. It was an amazing mix of different styles. Really interesting pub, different from others. We didn't realise that it shut at 2.30pm,but they still let us order food because the kitchen hadn't quite shut. There was a lovely seating area. When the food came we weren't disappointed. My partner and I only had a toastie but one of the best I've ever tasted, very filling. The people we were with had the salmon and a full English. It looked amazing and they said it was really good. Even though we ran over closing time the landlord did not make us leave quickly. We had a lovely chat about the record collection they have. I would definitely recommend the Inn to everyone and I will definitely be going back there.

Relaxing pub/restaurant just outside the crowded central district. I wasn't sure what to think at first, but the food was tasty and server very friendly.
