Amazing place, not gonna lie. Friendly employees, beautiful animals, fun workshops and demonstrations, cool castle ruins, interesting information about the history of the castle, an exciting "hell corridor" and terrifying torture chambers. This was a one of a king experience and I can recommend it to everyone, no matter if you are young, old or just looking to experience something new

A lively medieval castle with amusing theatrical presentations by hosts dressed in thematic outfits. Some of the shows are in English, some in Estonian. Very entertaining! Possible to try archery shooting, see some domestic animals. We had fun! Thanks!
Amazing medieval castle ruins. Took the bus from Tallinn just to see them.
A lot of activities in the castle grounds, animals, handicrafts, archery etc so something for adults and kids.
If you arrive just before midday you will get to experience the cannon being blasted and then a different experience every half hour, including making a coin and candle, old alchemist show, brothel and more. Well worth the visit. Was so much fun, especially the torture chambers
Amazing experience for the whole family. The daily program is full of fun activities - don't miss the “Cannon Shooting” and “Mercenary Training”, the actors make it unforgettable. We also had a delicious lunch at the tavern inside the castle. The castle really gives you the feeling of being in the Middle Ages. Highly recommend.
Recommend to visit! So many personal inside working and doing it so well that you could feel you are in old times. They do very brilliant story telling. You will get great emotiations there.

Around Rakvere Linnus there are many places to sit down and enjoy the view as there are multiple outdoor theatres aswell as interconnected paths around the castle to walk on.
By car, our recommendation is to drive up to the upper parking place if the narrow street up the hill is tolerable. There is also a lower parking place, but it includes climbing up stairs.
Not only do we recommend the castle because of great views in, around and on top of the castle walls. There are activities for the whole familiy included in the base ticket. Our association took part in cannon firing and other medival interactive workshops/lectures.

I like the design of Rakvere Theater, the glass wall and rooftop 💕it makes me relax and chill when I’m waiting for the movie. Sadly they one have one movie room so it’s not much movie you can choose, and the snacks bar also provide alcohol c:

Nice and cosy theatre. Signage could be better. It's difficult to notice the small printed signs on the walls. Difficult to know where you have to go. We were seated at the balcony, we were a bit confused how to get there. Thr view from the balcony is good. We were seated in the 7th row and could see better than the ones seated in the first row of the balcony. Kid can get extra pillows on the seat so they sit higher up.
Nice, clean and small. Vanasti buy soda, snacks and popcorn. Open from wednesday from sunday. Pleasr note - If you take last movie in the evening you can not use toilet after the movie.

The hotel rooms are great: nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable and with effective air conditioning. The breakfast was great, as was the dinner in the restaurant.
The spa is very good: nice saunas, nice pools and a waterslide. Also the wave machine in the main pool was fun. Overall, a very good place.
There is seperated sauna what is pretty solid with different possibilities. Finnish, steam, salt and more.

PARQALI Resto & Grill is a delightful culinary destination that promises an unforgettable dining experience. The starters may be modest in size, but they pack a flavorful punch, setting the stage for the impressive mains that follow. Each dish is not only abundant in protein but also beautifully presented with vibrant colors that make your meal visually appealing.
Starters were fairly small, albeit super tasty. So we were not prepared for the feast that came as the mains. I adored that the food was colourful and well-displayed. All mains had plenty of protein (which is usually lacking in size in upscale places). The tastes were exquisite. The wines were too expensive tho.
The service was nice. Although the server we had seemed quite low on local knowledge. I guess he was fresh on spot. But performed very pleasantly and overall we loved the service as well.
Just the atmosphere is as it is. One can't really expect a huge Spa Hotel Restaurant to be nice and cosy. But does not hurt the general rating of the review.

Very pleasant experience. It's important to book a time for dinner in advance, as there might be large groups of tourists reserving the entire facility for several hours. The atmosphere is great, especially with a large and beautiful marine aquarium featuring multiple coral reef fishes, tubeworms, small sea stars, and soft corals, evoking curiosity and amusement among visitors. The service is excellent, with a very polite, professional, and attentive waitress who recommended a great wine, the ideal roast for the meat, and a perfect dessert.
For starters, we had marinated salmon and a seafood soup. The soup had a really good taste—neither too salty nor too spicy—and included four large mussels and numerous large and small shrimps.
The main dish consisted of duck fillet. We followed the recommended medium roast, and we were thoroughly satisfied—it was juicy and fragrant, served with grilled vegetables cooked over coals. The red Primitivo wine complemented the main dish perfectly. For dessert, we enjoyed a very tasty warm chocolate cake and a mix of exotic fruits, accompanied by a small teapot of fragrant green tea.
The food was delicious. The service was so-so: some of the waitresses look at you with angry faces when they talk to you, and they have absolutely no idea about the quality and where the ingredients for their dishes come from. The atmosphere is generally nice (there are big aquariums with beautiful fish around the corner), it was more or less spacious with children, although there are a couple of inconvenient places in the restaurant layout (a huge column on the corner next to the table, where you can always bump into the waitress, and where the waitress always accidentally drops forks and knives). The portions are quite small: everywhere for this money we got portions twice as big (so we ordered a second round of the same portions for each of us to eat our fill, and then everything became more expensive - but acceptable for a restaurant). Overall, our family was happy with the food!
Great place to visit. Well invest, full and clear menu, waiting time is OK. Minor mismatches from service (classic bread wasn´t offer, "forget" about us in the end of dinner). In generally recommended place
We visited the establishment on 09.06 and, unfortunately, were very disappointed. The level of service is extremely low - the staff is indifferent, the order does not take long, and we did not expect basic politeness.
Regarding the dishes: the salad with turkey turned out to be unsuccessful - the meat was not fried at all, it remained half-raw. But the steak was even worse - it was not ready for consumption at all, it looked more like raw meat than a full-fledged dish.
The prices are not justified at all: the quality of food and service do not correspond to the declared level. I got the impression that the establishment does not care about either customers or its reputation.
I do not recommend this establishment. I hope the administration will pay attention to the quality of service and cuisine, because at the moment it is a complete disappointment.

Service was slow and ignored us for a while after entering, ordered lamb and got other meat instead, salad was subpar, food made us sick and to top it off the men’s toilet was not flushable and had no lights.
Big portions for great value with good taste. From terrace you can see castle ruins and the bull statue.
The meat in the food was bad and the curry( red and green thai) did not taste like curry at all. When we complained about a food we were offered to call to a manger, if we agreed they did not gave us the number. Also they did not refund our money or offer any solution. Really unhappy and disappointed. Never anyone should be offered meat what is gone bad.

You can also buy these things and take them home.

Can a pizza be very juicy and great at the same time? Yes! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and you could also buy some extras like niche drinks and chips, and their trademark chili honey.

Amazing pizza! They have interesting combinations and lunch/summer specials if you want to try something different. The dough is a little oily, but pizza itself is very delicious. Plus they have good soda, drink and tiramisu options. I would say that there aren't much places in Estonia where you can get a better pizza except for something like Amalfi.

Such a really good vibe of a place, perfect for a day after the spa. I'd 100% check this place out whenever you're in Rakvere.
The pizza is authentic, pizza is Naples like. Hot honey sauce is their specialty, and it's very good. They also have a seasonal menu with interesting options. All the three pizzas that we ordered were really good. They also have vegan options, pizza with fish and chicken.
Not bad pizzas but i would change toppings on some ( they dont match well in my idea) Also i would use different(better quality) goat cheese on the pizza and maybe add something green(rucola) Tiramisu had way too much whipped cream, please add more mascarpone and its great!

We had a great weekend. It was our first time at this hotel, the room was excellent: big and bright, everything was clean, the breakfast was tasty, and the spa area was amazing. We will definitely come back again.

Wave machine is weak. The lifeguard is pointlessly aggressive. Will likely not return as there are better options all around.

This is the spa that I have visited the most in Estonia.
It’s not far from Tallinn and it is a perfect getaway for couples, families and friends.
The rooms have been always nice, clean and spacious. Plus tastefully furnished.
Breakfast was just delicious and versatile.
For lunch or dinner you have 2 in-house restaurants to choose.
They have their own beauty salon and massage center. It has always been a must to take a massage, very relaxing.
And spa - saunas and relaxing pool areas for kids and for adults, outdoor pool included. My favourite were infrared sauna, steam-salt sauna and Kadaka-sauna with a view.
They have also quite big swimming pool for swimming.
Service has been good in every department, thank you🙏😊

We booked our table in advance, however when we showed up they didn't have anything prepared for us: we had to move the tables ourselves to fit 5 people. While the waitress was friendly the food came out super slow and we didn't even order much. In addition, our appetisers didn't come out at the same time for all and by the time one had eaten everything the rest of the group just got theirs.
Food was mediocre, vegetables served with salmon didn't seem fresh, sushi was small, not comparable with other sushi places in town and everything just took too much time to reach our table. Pancakes with chicken were okay.
There was no lounge vibe, music was quiet and we could hear the staff in the kitchen.

We loved the potato salad - it was really fresh and a nostalgic flavour from our Spviet youth. The capuccino and espresso were (paid) self-service from the automat (hotel-style). The prices here were amazingly reasonable, though - 3 of us had 1 main, 1 dessert and 1 small salad (plus coffees) for the total of 15 eur. This is the place to be to get away from inflation! Feels like your money is worth to get decent enough food in a very generous proportion. I ordered a couple of different dishes, thinking the amount I'd get would be very less. Boy, was I wrong? I had to stop several times until I finish everything. The only problem is that the taste isn't that strong. I'd give 3,5/5 for the taste. On the other hand the retro jam playing in the place is amazing but not the radio ads! And the lady at the register was super kind and polite!
Looking for a good coffee in Rakvere is hard, I know... but this wasn't a pleasure for me. On the other hand, the main purpose of this place will be somewhere else...

The museum offers an array of interactive activities, including a lie detector and simulations like experiencing a car crash. It provides an educational journey through the history of Estonian police from the Soviet era to modern times, featuring engaging exhibits and interactive displays on various topics such as narcotics, vehicles, police badges, fingerprints, and DNA.
We were there on a Saturday afternoon. Kids loved the little playground with imitations of streets and cars. The place is very interesting, but lacks english as a second language for explaining the exhibits. A quick run through the place will take up to 2-2.5h.

Absolutely awesome museum for kids (and parents). Children are allowed to climb in the police vehicles, fly a hydraulic helicopter, motorcycle, and evade security lasers. There are different types of police buildings on display from different time periods.
Inside a building there are 2 floors of different expositions and memorabilia.
Everything is translated to English as well.
Outside area will show you some old police cars and also one car from real situation where police deactivated murderer with gun shooting. Also outside you can experience helicopter flying and sit inside the car that will rurn around. Inside also some entertainments are waiting you. Recommend!

Worth to visit. The museum presents the history of the Estonian police from Soviet times to the present day, when Estonia regained its independence. There are interesting exhibits. Lots of interactive exhibition stands. Both adults and children will not be bored.
This is an amazing place for both children and adults. A great gem hidden in the central with loads of interactive activities which educate you on the Estonian police history and present activities. Make sure to plan at least 2hours if coming with kids as there is a lot to do. Definitely recommended!

rvent then ask iff i would talk to the chef? Yes plz! I asked him several time iff he consider this medium... He didnt awnser he told me it was cooked with a termometer... Hmmm yea well after a while off argument they told me to pay for my beer and leave.... They dont know anuthabout the right steak grade... The chef need to learn the proper colour and temp off the meat he handle. Unfortunately i didnt took a pic off the meat they served me...The maid that was on service told me that she thinks its raw!!!!! Hahaha raw no iff just the cord is slightly pink no juice and rest 80% is grey no its not raw its not even medium....Learn to read the colour and temp..Or change professional.
Amazing location. Our Waitress Andrea was great and always smiling. Made my experience there great. Definitely recommend the food. I'd definitely return back there as long as Andrea is around to make it pleasant experience again.

This place positively surprised me. Went for bowls and they were tastier and also a lot bigger than expected. The service could be a lot better though (hint: have waitresses speak Estonian!!).
