Chaplin's World is a captivating museum located in the Swiss Riviera, offering an immersive experience into the life and legacy of Charlie Chaplin. Situated in his former residence, visitors can explore interactive displays, memorabilia, and even enjoy a cafe on-site. The estate provides a stunning backdrop with panoramic views of the Alps and Lake Geneva.
Went out of interest, came away delighted with the whole experience. The film sets and props make for some really memorable photos, and provides some nice insights into his life. Really lovely place and not far from the funicular railway which topped off a great visit
Martyn K — Google review
Totally recommended to visit when you are in the area or even when staying in zurich for a couple of days! Such a delight to visit Charlie Chaplin house and the museum.
Paola — Google review
Very nice interactive experience that tells the story of Charlie Chapman's life. Bring your camera, get crazy and have fun. The house tour, self guided, was wonderful as well. I felt like someone was still living there. A great view into someone's personal life. With 12 years living in Europe and visiting many places, I thought the 30chf entrance free was about 10chf too expensive. The price didn't stop us from visiting, but it is an expensive visit. The café is okay to grab a coffee and sandwich. We did!
Les R — Google review
Its a must see if you are a fan of Charli Chaplin it's where he spent his last days. Big rig motohomes will have a hard time parking. Parking is FRK 5.00 can be paid in the ticketing office.
Maria G — Google review
If you're a fan of Chaplin, this is a MUST stop and see. Had chance to tour Charlie's home, which had all the original furniture from when he lived there. The studio museum was incredible experience, it was extremely well done and laid out. Would absolutely recommend!!

Sir Charlie Chaplin house very he lived the last few years with his family is now a museum. Nice place to visit.
Vikas C — Google review
It was a wonderful experience. Charlie Chaplin's life has been beautifully depicted. The tickets are included with the Swiss pass. Must watch the movie. Great place for children and adults alike. It's located outside the city but is a very comfortable 20 minute bus ride. A must visit place not to be missed if you are around Vevey.
Namrata B — Google review
Fantastic Museum. Felt like you really got to know Charlie Chaplin the person, his work and his family. Would have rated 5 if not for the exit issues. FIX the stupid entrance exit through the gift shop and save yourself arguing with customers about tickets, two members of our group stepped into the gift shop while waiting for the start of the first step of the visit and had to argue to get back as you are only allowed to exit the exhibition after the giftshop. If it was just us I would understand, but we saw two other sets of people arguing about it too, and in the end the lady at the entrance said it happens all the time. Better to fix it vs arguing and upsetting guests.

On our recent Indian doctors trip to Switzerland and during our orientation of Montreux & Vevey , we passed by Nestle Headquarters. It is a big structure and looks nice. Fortunately we got permission to visit it from inside, we enjoy many of the Nestle products, so t was nice to see the Headquarter where most of the senior leadership of the company sits & takes decisions. Oh Manor Manor how you have lost your sparkle! 😢 I don't believe we have ever been so disappointed or disgusted walking into a Manor store as we were on this occasion. We went in especially to buy a necklace for my birthday and chose Manor because it is a special place for us and over the years 'Manor' has always been a slight 'cut above the rest' in terms of quality and service. Not so now! There was no-one on any of the jewellery counters to help us and when we sought help from the closest members of staff on the Tissot counter we were told in no uncertain terms that they worked for Tissot not Manor and we would need to go and look for someone. This information was given to us in a very rude manner and when we queried why this was they became very loud and obnoxious towards us. Obviously, we do not expect this kind of behaviour from employees when going into any store to shop let alone a store with the standing and higher standards of Manor. Those staff members may work for Tissot but they are under Manor's roof - maybe they need reminding of that!

Manor restaurant! It’s such a nice place to take my kid for lunch. He loves coming here. However…. How come you still allow smoking ???? Especially where kids area is! Every time we come there for family lunch we try to sit next to kids place outside and there is always smokers at every table. Please make this area outside next to kids play stuff no smoking place! Just few tables … that’s all!

I have been to Manor many times for more than 10 years now….. but this time I was impressed by the kindness of Mr Benaini Sofiane. He helped me to choose everything I needed with a smile and an exemplary professionalism. He also supported me to make an order , just a few minutes before the closure , with the most kind smile and patience I have ever seen. Mr Benaini is the best investment of Manor , considering service, clients satisfaction and professionalism.

Best shopping possibility In Vevey. Highlight free protection for wet umbrellas:) The shops are ok 👌 Restaurant is great 👍 Enjoy

I went to Manor food, which has some good choices of dairy, fish, meat...you name it. I was particularly impressed with the foreign products on display, and the more than decent choices of organic food. I went to the Manor food shops on the Riviera, but this one remains my favourite. Only negative point: food in Switzerland is expensive.
Sacha J — Google review
I go there very often so I’m really used to the place. It’s in general a very good store where you can find a lot of things that are unavailable in other stores in Switzerland. For anyone buying makeup Manor is the best place !

Specialty Museums
The Musée suisse de l'appareil photographique is a modest museum in Vevey dedicated to the history of photography and cameras. It offers exhibitions, workshops, and a comprehensive collection of equipment from the beginning of photography to modern times. Visitors can spend an hour or two exploring the displays, but true camera enthusiasts may find themselves engrossed for much longer. The museum provides in-depth information on each exhibit, making it a haven for photography students and aficionados.
This is a great little museum presenting the development of equipment for taking photographs from the start to the end of the photography history. It's very didactic and the materials are beautifully presented over four stories in an old building on the eastern side of the main square of the city of Vevey. Temporary exhibitions occupy the top floor. There is also a dark room where you can bring your negatives and learn how to print photos, guided by the staff of the museum for a small fee. This service is open on week-ends and holidays and you can register on the museum internet site. There is a small museum store where you can buy books, post cards, posters and the typical glass for white wine used in the canton of Vaud accompanying your raclette.
Sebastian R — Google review
I’ll explain right away why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The museum is actually very large and rich in both its collection and information – it could attract tourists, but all the annotations are only in French. I speak French, but I think this is a big downside for non-French speakers. Otherwise, as mentioned above, the museum’s collection is very varied and it is larger than it might appear at first glance. The museum is interesting and can easily be recommended to technology nerds and photographers. Additionally, they apparently hold workshops for children, so they are trying to engage young audiences as well. I visited the museum with friends on the first weekend of the month when entry is free. But if you speak French and are interested in photography, its technology and its history, I could recommend it to you anytime!
Elisa R — Google review
What an amazing Museum in Vevey. I’m a Photography student and I was delighted with my visit. With a very complete collection of all equipment since the beginning of Photography and a good range of examples that we don’t see everywhere. Everyone very helpful and kind. Also I don’t know many museums with free coffee and lockers to leave your stuff. I’ll definitely go back any time soon.

Very interesting place for photography enthusiasts. It needs English text for tourists for a more immersive experience. English listening devices are offered, one ran out of battery within a few minutes.

Excellent presentation, a lot of precious display never seen before. Don't be mislead by the small entrance, it's big inside, several floors of display. Must visit in Very.

Excellent way to spend an hour or two. If you are a true camera aficionado, you will literally be able to spend a few days here, I do not know if I should recommend getting the audio companion or not. The problem is, the audio companion goes into such depth on each exhibit, that it is almost impossible to listen to everything, As it was, my wife and I spent about two and a half hours there. I would have stayed the whole day, She was ready to leave after about 30 minutes! You have to visit the thermal imaging area on the top floor that was great!
George S — Google review
Very nice and warm welcome. Well explained how to start the visit. From the begging of the photography to nowadays. I loved to find Kodak again, the start of the photography for me.

The restaurant Pizzeria Chez Ciccio - Vevey offers a variety of delicious pizzas and coffee. It is owned by the Italians, and they make sure that every dish is fantastic. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff are always on hand to help.
Great casual spot in the mall to take a break from looking at giant stainless steel forks or pictures of Mr. Chaplin. Had the salade du chef (came with a lot of meats and a large ball of fresh and light mozzarella) and also the capricciosa pizza. Large enough portions for four light eaters. With one additional Fanta bill came to 48.50CHF. Nice staff and a pleasant casual sit down lunch before taking the train back to Geneva

It used to be a fantastic place with a great customer oriented team handling it. The new owners certainly lack those qualities. Staff tends to be overwhelming, cutting conversations, and not very arranging. We had a 10 man group and got refused entry because they couldn't be bothered arranging tables for us, yet half the tables were empty in the restaurant. There's plenty of places in Vevey with a service that is both capable and willing.

French restaurant
Là-Haut is a high-end restaurant located in the village of Chardonne, known for its sophisticated and creative cuisine. Opened in 2016 by chef Mathieu Bruno, it has received accolades such as the "Discovery Romande" award from the Gault & Millau guide. The restaurant offers a refined dining experience with a stunning view of Lake Geneva from its elevated location. Guests have praised the multi-course tasting menu, artful presentation of dishes, and impeccable service.
Wow! Did not expect to find such a sophisticated, high-end meal up in the little town of Chardonne - but the trip was well worth it. We had the multi-course tasting menu with each plate artfully presented and equally delicious. The service was impeccable. Overall it was an expensive, but awesome experience. We'll be thinking of this meal for a long, long time. The ONLY complaint was after we were seated, our initial server asked if we wanted some Prosecco or Chardonnay to start; implying the drink was part of the meal, like a liquid amuse-bouche. In effect, they tricked us into spending an extra $20 each - extremely unnecessary considering we were already spending about $200 per person. Even with that unpleasant surprise, still giving this place 5 stars.
Michael S — Google review
An idyllic spot overlooking the lake in a quaint village in the vineyards. Contemporary decor, excellent produce, friendly and attentive service and very good cooking. We will definitely be recommending Là Haut and hope to come back soon.
Kim T — Google review
Pleasantly decorated eatery overlooking the lake and the main road. We had a light lunch on their balcony where you are indeed easily disturbed by guests that smoke or wear a heavy perfume as well as by the passing traffic. Food was fine but not as spectacular as we had expected from reading previous reviewers. Service is perfect and choice of local wines by the glass is excellent. There is ample parking behind and in the front of the building.

Fantastic view, service, and food. I do recommend the "discovery menu", with 5 dishes. With wine combo it is chf190 per person - not cheap but totally worth it!

Beautiful experience I was there for New Year’s celebration and I was flabbergasted. It was not to be missed. The drinks were on the house, there was a food menu already paid for, also coffee was offered. It’s just for me, the food could’ve been different but the presentation was perfect not the taste.

I visited Barrière Casino and had the rib-eye steak with fries, which was decent but not outstanding. The poker room was a bit on the smaller side, with only 2/5 NLH games running, and I learned that the 1/3 game is only available on weekdays. The games themselves are fairly soft, which is great for players, but the 10% rake capped at 25 CHF feels a bit steep. Still, the overall experience was enjoyable—good atmosphere, friendly staff, and the casino itself has a nice vibe. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Scam for tourists – misleading parking fees There was a man in a suit standing near the parking area in front of the casino. I asked him how much parking costs – he told me 2 CHF per hour, which is also written on the sign at the entrance. I stayed about 2.5 hours and was charged 13 CHF! At the reception they told me they charge every 15 minutes as a full hour, which is incredibly misleading. This is a tourist scam and dishonest behavior. I do not recommend this place!

While it may seem like a place for kids, it actually caters more to adults and older children. The museum showcases games from ancient times to the present day and even allows visitors to play with some of them. Tournaments for games like chess and Mah Jong are also held here.
Excellent museum, with information about the games available in multiple languages. The museum is interactive, many games can be played. Engaging and great for children and game enthusiasts.

Went on a weekday, it was virtually empty, just one other group that appeared to be getting a private tour. They had a special exhibit of the influence of nature and the environment on games. It was nicely done, and nice to see some of the history of games. We also stayed to play some of the board game collection downstairs. The staff was friendly, and allowed us to use their elevator for a mobility-challenged person in my group. A fun way to spend the morning! We followed it with lunch along Quai Roussy and a nice stroll down to Ze Fork!

Beautiful castle, with even more beautiful view on lake. Not so easy to find parking spot. There is a playground. Although I spent childhood playing board games, chess etc - part of museum linked to board games was boring. Sorry☹️ some fun were computer games, we had lot of fun playing one together with my son for long time, in one of rooms as well as on the way were some games. In my opinion museum should over time increase presence of computer games. I realized that even if my favorite board games would be in museum, looking at them would be… boring :( it is nice that there is a separate space you can play some of board games with family or friends.

Great location ride by the lake with its very own playground (!). Lodge selection of Games inside as well as fascinating exhibitions about the history of board games.

Good place for playing with your kids on outdoor games like chess, football and etc. The very museum is assotiated with board games so I wouldn't say that is perfect place to visit but there are different people for different places.

A fun place for young and old. The Flipper Game for which you can buy chips when paying entrance fee was so much fun after so many years of not playing...

The entry fee was covered in STP. The place was too remote and time taken to reach was too much to pay a visit. It was in some cool castle but some part are in renovation.

We were able to show our children how games have evolved through the centuries, the museum has many exhibits inside this castle and you can find games that you can use or play.

Located on the promenade in Vevey, Switzerland, Alimentarium is a unique food museum offering interactive and historical exhibits, a restaurant, and an educational vegetable garden. The museum features an incredible display of culinary objects and offers workshops for food enthusiasts. Visitors can also explore the nearby Musee Jenisch to view works by renowned artists like Durer, Goya, Degas, and Picasso.
The Alimentarium on the shores of Lake Geneva is a great place to visit, regardless of your age. You can easily find it by looking for the giant fork planted in the bottom of the lake facing the Alps. It's owned by the Nestlé foundation and has the main objective to teach the visitors how to eat healthily. You can participate in baking classes, buy relevant food literature and have a well prepared meal in the dining room, self service café or in their gardens. When entering the building you are reminded of what greens you should get or cultivate in your garden for making a good salad or a ratatouille. Highly recommended for all ages.

I visited the Alimentarium with friends for the Riviera Night of Museums event. This visit is about twenty years after my last visit to this museum when I was a child. Compared to the 2000s, the museum has certainly evolved by becoming more innovative and interactive. I know it still offers cooking workshops, something I appreciated when I was a kid. Unfortunately, the Alimentarium is still the least impressive Nestlé museum I have visited, compared to the Vevey Nest Museum that closed several years ago, the Maison Cailler Museum in Broc, or even the Lindt Chocolate Museum in Zurich, which is not part of Nestlé but is also dedicated to food (chocolate). The Alimentarium is much smaller, less interactive, and less immersive in the theme, but I still see progress and a willingness to improve.

This place exceeded all our expectations. We knew this is a very good museum, but we did not know was going to be so fun for all of us, our kids loved every corner of the Alimentarium. This is a real interactive and educational experience.

Love this place. Looks imposing from the outside so you might not immediately wonder in, like me, I waited a year before I finally went in! But once you’re here, you’ll love the staff, the excellent coffee (of course!) and the ambiance. One of my favourite places to visit in Vevey. Here’s another thing I love, check out the toilets - both men and women have baby changing rooms. That’s cool! Well done, Nestle 👍🏻🙏❤️

It's not bad, but there are too many screens with too much text, the games are too hard to play. We did enjoy the (temporary) chocolate show where we got to taste very unusual stuff.

The food museum is located near the Lake of Geneva; that is why it has a beautiful view. The museum itself is a good scientific museum with lots of information about food history, devices and even internal digestive and sensitive systems of human body. I think it is a good place for children (due to lots of interactive games related to food industry) and for adults it can be also an interesting place, if you are really into this kind of informative museums. We were there in a hot summer day and unfortunately inside the building was also very warm. I think the ticket is also too expensive. Keep in mind, if you don’t want to read all of the signs and information; you can finish it in about one hour. It has also a restaurant and a coffeeshop inside the museum; but I think they are very expensive too. Here also you can get student discount :) so don’t forget your student card. After visiting Chaplin’s world, this museum was not that attractive for me. (I visited both of them in one day)

The Alimentarium is located right in front of Lake Geneva where the iconic giant fork of Vevey stands. It’s primarily a food museum that spans two storeys. There are lots of information about the origins of food, exhibits of cooking equipments from different periods in time, food in cultures and how they behave in our bodies. Very interesting info, however the museum may be more appealing to kids as some of the exhibits are interactive. The restaurant at the ground level serves up great food. The chefs are really friendly, and you can watch how they carefully plate the dishes. The staffs working in the building are extremely friendly and polite as well. I enjoyed my visit very much but don’t think it’s a must to enter the museum (entry is 13 euros for adults). Visiting the giant fork and the Alimentarium for a meal would make a great activity too!
Natalie — Google review
The Alimentarium Museum is a space where is time flies unnoticed and you can get interesting and useful facts about the history of food, dishes, etiquette rules, healthy foods, digestion processes and how much you need to exercise to burn calories, etc. What is great that is a mix of audio-gide excursions, computer games and interactive zones of many tests. The gaming zone bring joy to everyone from children to adults. Catchable experiments will not leave indifferent even the most inveterate sceptic. I'm very thankful from all Ukrainian people for the possibility to visit this place for free and special thanks for administrator's attentiveness and patience. Really and strictly recommend to visit.

Le Rubis is a fantastic place to enjoy a home-cooked meal. The owners, who are very friendly, have imbued the menu with heart, simplicity, and authenticity. The daily specials are particularly delightful, such as the soup and ravioli we had for a reasonable price of 50 CHF. The service is fast, and the location in old Vevey adds to the charm with its cobblestone streets and traditional houses.
A cosy café next to l'Hotel de Ville, in the very centre of Vevey. Very polite staff welcomes guests and presents the menu. On Sunday afternoon, still outside touristic season, the café was quite busy, probably because guests enjoy warm atmosphere and tasty desserts.

Very good place to have a home style bite. The owners (a very kind couple) have put a lot of heart, simplicity and authenticity in the menu, price and quality. The 2 of us had the plat du jour/today's special, i.e a soup and ravioli and a drink each for 50 CHF altogether. Service is rapid, the place is fairly central in old Vevey, amongst paved roads and old style homes. They will see us there a couple of times again, that's for sure. 🌟💜💜💜🌟

Chinese restaurant
The restaurant is located in La tour de peilz, and offers a variety of dishes including chicken and beef, black bean clicking crispy beef, Won ton soup, and hot & sour. The restaurant has friendly service and is able to cater to English-speaking customers.
Dropped by this place because it looked authentic Chinese. They had nice lunch menu and it was highly recommended. Mostly local people are the main customers but foods are very authentic for sure!

Ordered via Uber eats - forgot have to order rice separately- this is all I got for 22 CHF (incl delivery fee)- i did eat three pieces, but the chicken barel covered the bottom of tupperware, no rice, no veg no garnishings.... Disappointed. I could have had lunch at Cafe littéraire in Vevey with lake view, lunch special with soup or salad and a main course with locally sourced products for the same price...

This Chinese restaurant in La tour de peilz is a restaurant where we can find the menu in English and the food is prepared to your taste. The soup was worth a try along with spicy chicken and a bowl of fried rice. While the rice was a little bland the rest was decent. The service here is very friendly.

Very nice food. Full of flavours. Prompt service with smiling face of the hostess. We ordered Hot & Sour, Tum yum and Won ton soup. All 3 were great. Ze Fork is located in a historic building right by the water, offering a regularly changing menu. It's one of the more modest gastronomic spots with bistro-style cuisine in Vevey. Other similar places include Auberge Communale de St-Legier, Le Petit a St-Legier, La Galerie in Vevey, KJU in Vevey, and several others around the area.
I was amazed by the quality and innovation of the food here. Nothing gimmicky, thrifty to the taste but with a little twist on classic. The food is heartwarming yet with surprises. The Malakoff is yummy, the chicken oyster meat with Gorgonzola is delicious. Good job!

Vegetarian forward! We visited in mid July and took the train from Lausanne (our home base) to Vevey. Very easy to take the train which is efficient and clean. The walk from the train station to the waterfront is about 10 minutes and the restaurant is easy to find. The menu did not advertise a vegetarian tasting option. However, when we told the friendly wait staff that we were vegetarian they quickly explained that the chef would be happy to make all tasting courses vegetarian. We were quite pleased! Nearly all of the wine was local Swiss from the terraces and excellent. I highly recommend drinking Swiss wine when you see it - it is rarely exported outside of the country and if you are from the US, you will likely never see Swiss wine in US restaurants. Each tasting course was unique and done with thoughtful creativity. It was tasty and healthy and filling. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We truly savored each course as it was presented. We appreciated the chef’s flexibility in creating tastings that resembled what was on the “normal” menu but was 100% vegetarian and not simply pasta and sauce. A wonderful meal! We highly recommend this lovely restaurant whether you are vegetarian or meat eaters. There is something delicious and thoughtful and healthy for all diners. Now on to the Star of the meal - the environment. We sat outside as the summer sun was setting (nearly 9:30pm) and enjoyed watching everyone out on the shore relaxing with picnics and drinks. We have summered in Lake Como and we both agreed that Lake Leman (Geneva) and the villages around it not only rivaled Como, but for us, surpassed it due to the lack of enormous crowds and Instagram focused tourists. The villages are so so charming, with warm wonderful people, excellent cuisine, wonderful ferries, and unlike Como, an efficient train system to take you to all of the villages if you missed any of the ferries (which do not run as often as the Como ferries). We fear that someday the Instagram influencers will truly catch on to the charm and grace of this area of Lake Geneva. There is so much to do here and the blend of history, the proximity to the Alps, mesmerizing vineyard terraces that spill onto the lake, charming lake villages and ease of transportation made it feel less like a “check the box must be seen tourist destination” overrun with thoughtless day trippers and more like a secret you’d rather keep to yourself.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in ze fork! Seasonal menu with such tasteful dishes! Cozy and warm indoor area and fantastic outdoor area with lake views.

A Place that could easily be a starred restaurant considering the creativity and quality you get on the table. We ordered a beef carpaccio to share as a starter and for a delicate meat dressed with ricotta, olive taggiasche and blackberries. Definitely a good start. Then we went for a tuna steak nicely served with kiwis, a crumble (looked like dried nuts and coriander) kiwis and a lemon based sauce, very delicate and tasty. We finished with an apotheosises of taste with a the grilled duck, served in top of a corn puree and dressed with corn, reddish and raspberries. An explosion of tastes. I take away one star to the service to compensate the fact that we were not shown the menu during jour before ordering (I we picked from the regular menu) and the absolutely average cafe’ gourmand. All the rest was top! Finally the venue was super cozy, just few meters away from the lake and the fork. Staff very welcoming and caring.

(Translated by Google) A very bad experience at the Le Reflet theater in Vevey. I had reserved seats in a convenient location, in the center of the auditorium, and I had taken the trouble to warn them in advance that I might be a few minutes late due to traffic and the lack of parking. I finally arrived at 8:03 pm for a performance that started at 8 pm. Only three minutes late... and yet, the welcome was extremely cold. The staff showed no understanding or friendliness. Not only did they not let me access my reserved seats, but I was relegated to the back, to the side of the auditorium. This is unacceptable, especially when you show courtesy by announcing your delay in advance. The treatment I received was frankly disrespectful. I do not recommend this venue, either for the welcome or the staff's attitude. (Translated by Google) The evening of the new season's presentation was a magical moment for me, as it had been a truly long time since I'd had the chance to set foot in a theater. The presentation was simply captivating. I was pleasantly surprised by the diversity and quality of the shows announced. Each production seemed to promise a unique and immersive experience, full of emotion and discovery. I was transported by the passionate stories of the Director and her team, who enthusiastically shared the essence of each upcoming play. I was delighted to learn that you offer lunchtime performances, accompanied by a meal. This original formula offers spectators a complete experience, combining culinary pleasures and theatrical discoveries. It's a brilliant idea that allows everyone to savor art in all its forms. Furthermore, I would like to commend your commitment to reaching younger audiences by offering shows specifically adapted for children. This demonstrates a genuine sensitivity towards them, giving them the opportunity to discover and appreciate the performing arts from a young age. It is essential to cultivate the imagination and creativity of new generations, and you do so admirably. Another aspect worth highlighting is your commitment to making performances accessible to people with special needs. The introduction of surtitled shows is a commendable initiative, allowing a wider audience to fully enjoy performances, regardless of the language of the play. Furthermore, your dedication to creating adapted shows for blind and visually impaired people is simply admirable. Finally, I would like to mention your remarkable graphic design. This attention to detail and the creation of a captivating visual atmosphere demonstrates how dedicated your team is to providing a complete and immersive theatrical experience. You have aroused in me a palpable excitement and a growing impatience to once again walk through the doors of your welcoming theater. This modest yet diverse institution houses the largest assemblage of Viennese expressionist Oskar Kokoschka's artwork globally.

Dress warm, as the temperature is set to cold. Hodler exhibition is pretty okay, but fairly death-oriented. He painted many more faces and landscapes, of which only a few are in the exhibition. You can find works from all periods and even works of famous painters such as Picasso, Rembrandt, Gustave Courbet, and others – all within a beautiful neo-classical building, renovated inside while preserving the original museum's aesthetics, mosaic floors, wall tones and frescoes in the entrance hall. On the first weekend of the month, entry is free for everyone. Otherwise, the rates are reasonable. Really worth visiting.

The church took my breath away! We reserved the church for our wedding ceremony and went there to have a closer look! It was majectical.

The burger tastes like steak & the octopus was the best I had ,,, very flavorful & cooked to the right doneness - crispy from the our side & tender form the inside (not chewy)

Very nice and unique modern and cozy Restaurant. The very friendly staff are attentive and welcoming. Delicious food with high quality ingredients. Quality wines by the glass. Really a great spot.

Tasty dishes in a nice setting right by the lakeside. Tried the beef wellington which was great. Turns into a bar/club some evenings so on those days make sure to leave early, or stay and party, depending on your style!

We had a double birthday party with over 100 guests last saturday and it was the greatest experience you can imagine. We planned the whole event way in advance and Geoffrey was the perfect host to prepare it, share ideas and propose the right menu and drinks. The organization was just perfect. Obviously the lake side location and the beautiful place were helpful to stun people from near and far but that was not even the greatest highlight. The whole team was just amazing. From the opening in the afternoon, everything was perfection. Guests were served a drink while they had barely arrived, everyone was super attentive and always smiling. The service level of the team cannot be praised enough. You would never wait for any drink the whole evening and the team was always running around with high attention to every guest until 3am. I have rarely seen this level of service in any restaurant anywhere before (and never with so many guests). Literally 30 people sent me unsollicited messages after the event how great the service was and the food was also amazing. We had flying dinner and later live cooking so that everyone could just feel free to sit or stand Inside the beautiful interiors or on the outdoor terrace. The organization with the external DJ was also super smooth and the location showed the anticipated and well appreciated balance with the high quality restaurant part in the afternoon and early evening and the transformation later into a club in the late evening and early morning. Did I mention the beautiful bar? Another blast! All the drinks and cocktails were high quality. I can‘t imagine how this birthday party could have been any better and it will stay forever in our memories and also the one our many guests (I‘m still receiving messages 2 days later - not lying). Thank you Geoffrey and many many thanks and greetings to your whole team in the kitchen and the service for what has been one of the greatest days in our life! ❤️🥂💪

Unfortunately I’m not impressed at all by the Swiss cuisine so far (I’m here for three weeks now) but this restaurant made my belly melt again! How delicious food can make you happy! Thank you so much for the delicious lunch and very friendly staff. Also the decor is amazing and worth visiting!
L H — Google review
The food is really good unfortunately sometimes the consistency between the same dish is variable (once I had tuna tataki the day after had the same dish and the pictures can show the portion: once 7 quite good size pieces and the second time 5 thinner slices… not sure to get why the price was still the same haha Other than this the food is honestly delicious and I come back for the food and not for the service (cause honestly as soon as the restaurant is a bit busy the waiters are a bit lost…) The whiskey sour is not good: its not really a whiskey sour. The lasagna is awesome, the fish and beef tartare are also delicious! Personally would avoid the vegan bowl (feta and melon and tomatoes and artichokes didn’t fit together for me: thought could be good but wasn’t my favorite) Despite the service during busy times, would still recommend it for the food!

Restaurant
Brew Society - Vevey is a charming café and bar that offers a delightful coffee experience. Their flat white, made with double ristretto espresso, is a favorite among visitors for its perfect blend of milk and coffee. The cozy atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for brunch, offering pancakes and superfood bowls. While the cocktails are on the pricier side, the poke bowl is highly recommended.
Got here on a Sunday, quiet and cozy neighborhood and amazing location just right before the lake. Ordered the cappuccino which was OK a little burned but ok. Ordered the pancakes and they were amazing. Service was OK. If I'm in the area again, will come agson

I have been going regularly here and I really like the coffee and generally the atmosphere as well (and without that past experience, I would have given a maximum two-star rating). But what happened today is for me a no-go. I wanted scrambled eggs, which apparently were not available (although the menu states Monday to Friday). No problem, so I chose the eggs benedict. To my surprise, the eggs where not poached. I've asked the owner (?), who informed me that the eggs were oeuf parfait. This would be no problem, if it would be stated on the menu. But it's inacceptable for the owner to a) argue with the client and b) to tell me that eggs Benedict are made with oeuf parfait. Eggs Benedict are made with Poached eggs, that is the expectation and that is the known recipe. That's how I get my eggs Benedict in literally any other cafe/restaurant on the world (and I have eaten many :)).. If you offer something else, that is no problem. Just write it on the menu. I didn't want to discuss further to avoid spreading negative energy to other customers (it's a tiny place after all). But think about your attitude towards clients. The food itself is not bad, but if it doesn't match a common sense expectation, it just doesn't deliver the quality. It's a shame,.in itself the food is ok. I was offered to get something else instead and that wasn't my intention (as I had clearly stated), the owner just didn't listen to what I was saying and just stood his ground of pretending to be right. No, sorry, you lost me as a customer. There are many alternative options very close by and I will be frequenting those in the future. Good service can make up for disappointing food, no food quality can make up for disappointing service. (And I'm not including here the waiters, who are friendly and observing).

Beautiful place. Staff seemed super stressed and nobody felt responsible to approach new guests. Eggs Benedict was overall yummy, but the eggs were still liquid.

We tried this place out for the eggs benedict. They were not bad but very runny. The cappuccino and overnight oats were very good. The service was very quick. The restaurant is small but has outdoor seating too

Relaxing place, we had a girl's morning coffee there. They got some pastries and cakes. The cappuccino was too cold and too weak for my taste. Service is kind but tiny bit slow. Easy going decor. I'd go again maybe next time for breakfast.

Unfortunately we waited over an hour for our breakfast (on a Monday) and when it arrived there turned out to have been a misunderstanding. We kindly told them we wouldn’t pay for the additional meal they had brought us - they rolled their eyes and refused to deduct it from the bill and also didn’t apologise for the long waiting time. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we nevertheless had a good time, however, it would have been nice if they had told us in advance that the waiting time would be long. The food was less than average - dry bread, over cooked eggs, bland salad.
Leia S — Google review
A nice location and option to sit outside. However the big main issue is the food which we ordered did not match the menu descriptions at all. We ordered a so called bagel with thyme mozzarella and porchetta which we received as bacon or a ham alternative with melted cheddar… The scrambled eggs with bacon mushrooms and Gruyère cheese cost a whopping 23 CHF , to which they forgot the cheese entirely. When addressing this, the waiter simply said “normally there should be Gruyère”. I was not offered a price reduction, unlike other customers in the past, nor an apology. Just a passive unbothered expression. Zero customer orientation. Last, the two cold matchas we ordered were practically white and tasted entirely like milk. To which we pointed out that our neighboring table had way greener ones. The response here from the same waiter was “I make them and always add two spoons of matcha”. We were given new ones thankfully. So overall - slow and very conceded service, which is a shame as the location itself has potential. Also as future feedback : the eggs Benedict are only served till Thursday’s and not on Friday or the weekend which is a total lost market and revenue opportunity since these are peak brunch times. Finding someone who can make this dish on these days would be a great idea.

The food is not only astonishingly good, it's also presented in the most artistic way. Vevey needed a place like this. A lot of vegetarian options that are delicious. The beef tartare is also very good though ^^

Ate outside. Great dinner. But I want to particularly praise the staff. We dined there one evening when they were unexpectedly busy - a full house - because of a theater production next door. The staff worked incredibly hard to accommodate everyone, never complaining, never slowing. Not sure how they managed it, but they did. Maybe amphetamines? :-)

Chinese restaurant
Restaurant
Located just one minute away from Vevey's train station, Chef Xu Vevey is a Chinese restaurant known for its generous food portions. If you visit with someone else, two dishes should suffice as the servings are quite substantial. However, if you prefer spicy food, don't hesitate to ask for an increase in spice level. It's worth noting that the food here can be a bit salty, although it might be a common characteristic of Swiss cuisine.
Went there cause my sister recommended me. Ate there without reservation, luckily we managed to get in without lots of waiting. I suggest you to check and reserve before for best experience. I ordered 4 dishes for three person as i was not sure about the portion. But as it turns out, the foods PORTION WERE HUGE!!!! It was definitely top notch Chinese cooking. Most importantly the price was cheap considering the portion and taste! Went there to order: 1. Meat Dumpling 2. Stir fry some veggies 3. Pork Fried Rice 4. Crispy beef The meat dumpling was out of this world! It’s just perfect!!! I took home crispy beef as we were already full with three menus already. Totally recommend you to come!! Only one cons: it can take sometime for the food to come out. So if you are in hurry, this maybe not your restaurant. So, if you are not in hurry, this place, is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The food has a lot of portions with a very reasonable price. The food tastes like authentic Chinese food. Food came out very fast and servers spoke multiple languages so it was easier to communicate. The atmosphere felt traditional and comforting. Overall, this restaurant a good find for some craving Chinese food. A great place to go!😆😆

I love the vibe of the restaurant, the lady boss is friendly and kind. The food portion is super big, kids are able to share 1 order. It’s worth to wait because lack of manpower because they are family business. The price is low! Value for money.

This is a hidden gem in Vevey! The restaurant is so authentic, from the decoration to service & food. The dishes are exactly like chinese one in mainland, hearty with generous amount. The owner is so lovely anf kind. This is by far the best Chinese place in the whole Switzerland. Please come and support this owner!
Quynh N — Google review
Located just 1min away from the Vevey train station. The food portion here is really huge. If you come in pair, 2 dishes are good enough & you might not be able to finish. If you’re used to spicy food, please request to increase spicy level. The food tasted abit too salty for me but maybe the food in Switzerland is generally salty 😅 If you’re used to China food, this is a very mild version but good enough to curb your craving. Be ready to wait very long which can take up to 30mins just for them to get your order and 1 hour to serve you dishes. The shop is really short handed but trying their very best. Overall, the food is ok.
